I have been with Elite Home Warranty for 18 months already. I paid for a three-year plan, the best I could purchase. I have tried unsuccessfully for the past two months to get a human being on the phone to help me. I have submitted at least five email to the email listed on their website, and to date have not even received a "We've received your email and will get back with you soon," auto-response. I am assuming they went out of business and are trying to stave off the people who have paid for a full three year policy with them. All I can provide as proof of purchase would be my bank statement from the purchase, which will take some time to get my hands on. I will provide that in a later review, so as to get the "verified" purchase on this review.

I tried phoning them and was told they're having communication problems. According to BBB the company still exists, but how does one actually get a live person to talk with or some response to service requests. I switch to Elite because of their high BBB rating in 2024. I should have suspected something was funky with this company when they didn't offer online service requests and monitoring. I guess my HW with Elite is worthless.

On June 16, 2025, my air conditioning system required service. I contracted Baker HVAC Services for the repair, and the total cost came to $775.00, which I paid out-of-pocket. I subsequently submitted a claim for reimbursement for this covered repair. Despite my contractual right to this reimbursement, I have been unable to get a resolution from Elite Home Warranty. My attempts to contact the company have been consistently met with a recording stating their phone system is not working and that all inquiries must be submitted via email. I have sent approximately ten (10) separate emails to their support address and have received no response whatsoever. I have also left messages, which have gone unreturned.

Furthermore, per the company's own request, I submitted my bank information for a direct deposit of the funds on two separate occasions: October 3, 2025, and October 19, 2025. It has now been over two months since I first provided this information, and the $775.00 reimbursement has still not been deposited into my account. This complete lack of communication and failure to honor the terms of my home warranty agreement is unacceptable. If I could leave a Zero I would.

Look out for Elite Home Warranty Co. Two of the calls went unreturned about issues with we fixed ourselves on 10-19-25. Our basement flooded because of our washing machine leaking inside the machine. This time you can talk to know one except via email or leaving you acct # as well as problem and someone will get back to you.

3 days and no callback. Jonathan the guy who signed us up, even said, "Call me directly for any issues." His line has been disconnected, for home service # states, Elite Home Warranty is having temporary operational problems. Basically, money problems, but they also say leave your name, problem & acct# and they will contact you. Not so we were scammed, never one claim as they will not call back. I will file a complaint with BBB as well as contacting all our local TV stations to do a story on problems with all of the home warranty companies.

For example, as I was waiting a call back, I was contacted abut home warranties and the truth within 5 minutes, I had 6 calls wanting me to get sold more contracts. I have contacted 6 media companies about doing a story. After explaining 4 different companies we have used, delays getting to respond, unprofessional work and could not fix problem, I complained about all but two, even then it was days before they showed up to look at issue, small repairs done & old parts left' carpet dirty. And overcharge for service calls.

When I talked with media in our area. I explained to them my background 35 years as a licensed contractor in California state holding 4 state licenses in HVAC-Boilers-Commercial Refrigeration-Electrical. 35 years and never a complaint filed or no judgments. We took care of our customers which included Power Plants, Schools, Medical Facilities as well as a residential division. If there was an issue, we took care of it ASAP and always left a happy customers. How many business can say that... Money was never the driver for my company. Satisfied customers who referred us to other customer as well as word of mouth. We never advertised in 35 years, only our name and phone number listed. Enough is enough and I am going to help not only elders but younger people who want information from an expert

I’m beyond disappointed with Elite Home Warranty and I want others to know exactly what happened. I initially reached out to them through a representative to purchase the warranty for my Arizona home, paying $750 with the understanding that my deductible was $70 per service call. It sounded straightforward and reputable at the time. In August 2025, when I finally needed to use the warranty, I found out the real deal. Each service call was actually $70 per item, per room, which meant multiple fees for something as simple as a lighting issue across different rooms. It felt like a bait-and-switch.

I also had add-ons for my pool and freezer, which I paid extra for, only to be told that the deductible for those was actually $150 each. Meanwhile, I never received the full written agreement despite multiple requests. I sent emails throughout the year asking for the actual warranty terms in writing, and all I got were vague emails about coverage amounts—never the complete agreement you’d expect.

Calling them was another nightmare. I’d be on hold for 30 to 45 minutes each time, and often got hung up on. It felt like they made it as difficult as possible so that you’d just give up. And in the end, when I checked Elite Home Warranty’s own website, they no longer listed Arizona as a covered state—no notification, no refund, nothing. Separately, I also noticed their Better Business Bureau rating had dropped to a C+. In short, it’s clear to me that this company is not operating in good faith. I’m looking into legal action because this feels like fraud and extortion. If you’re considering Elite Home Warranty, I strongly recommend you stay away.

I started this home warranty in April 2023. With only 3-claims to-date. However after the first 4 months, their "elite" customer care because a zero star. They do not pay you, they do not answer the phone, they do not answer emails. I had a claim in June 2025, for a covered appliance. It took 3 calls over 4-days for them to send someone. The service rep said I could just "google" someone and they might reimburse me. That is what I am paying them for, to find a good tech.

They finally saw that the refrigerator needed replaced. They offered a very low amount (even when I searched for a similar model). They offered way under what is on the market. Regardless they say they are mailing a check (45-business-days) after they accept the replacement. They never mailed the check. Then when you call, it took 4-5 times a day, over 45-min wait times on hold to only be told that their payment systems are down. It is now Sept 2025, 4-months later, and their phone lines are giving a recording of 'operational' issues, their web-site is down, they don't respond to emails and the better business bureau rating went from an A to an F.

They do not pay the technicians coming to the house either. This company is a scam, committing fraud. Read the BBB reviews and the YELP reviews and you will see. My policy was paid up front to cover April 2025-Dec 2029 and they are "out of business" pretty much scammed all of us. Do NOT even try to use this company (actually you can't as their phones and emails are down) hire an attorney. File a BBB and a State Attorney fraud complaint.

But I have yet been able to get through to anyone in 3 days, calling 4 times each day, only to be disconnected after being on hold for 54 minutes.

Avoid at All Costs. Elite Home Warranty sells the dream but delivers a nightmare. They make big promises when you're signing up—fast service, responsive support, and comprehensive coverage—but once they have your money, the story changes completely. Terrible communication: Good luck getting a straight answer from anyone. Every call gets bounced around, emails go unanswered for days (if ever), and their reps seem more interested in avoiding responsibility than helping.

Service delays: Claims take forever to process, and when they finally send someone, it’s either the wrong contractor or a no-show. Repairs that should take days drag on for weeks or even months. Fine print traps: They’re experts at finding loopholes to deny claims. Things you were assured would be covered are suddenly “not eligible” due to some hidden clause. It feels like a scam. Do yourself a favor: don’t waste your time or money. Elite Home Warranty is anything but elite.

When our refrigerator stop working, they did not have technician assigned after 6 days. We were placed on long holds and calls were frequently dropped after long waits without receiving help. Horrible.

This is the best home warranty company that I have ever had. I get the help that I need when I need it. There definitely isn’t anything done differently from other home warranty companies that would make this one look bad. This company put the others to shame time and time again. I feel like I have tried them all at this point and this one has by far been the best. My house has been running nicely while using this warranty plan. If an issue arise, which it usually doesn’t, it is resolved quickly.

BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! I purchased this home warranty last year when the previous warranty was about to expire that the seller of the home I bought purchased for me..I chose this company because the ratings stated that they are supposedly the #1 warranty company in the world...THIS WAS COMPLETELY FALSE ADVERTISING. My washer stopped working in May. I filed a claim May 12th 2025, I paid the $70.00 claim filing fee and was told a vendor in my area would call within 24-48 hours, 72 hours with no response. RED 🚩#1. I called them back and had the request escalated..

A vendor contacted me and an appointment was scheduled for Saturday May 17th, the Vendor contacted me and wanted to reschedule due to the storms we had that knocked out power, no problem. I rescheduled for Monday May 19th.. The vendor comes and does his inspection to advise me that the part for my washer that was only 4 years old was no longer available and that he would let Elite Home Warranty know so a decision could be made, the vendor and myself made several attempts to contact the claims department. After 3-4 of time calling Elite Home Warranty they informed me what the Vendor had already stated that the part I needed was discontinued and someone from underwriting would call me back...

May 26th (which was Memorial Day) I get a phone call stating that my claim was approved and they offered $500.00 for a replacement which I accepted.. I was told that the claim payout would take 45 Business days (no weekends or holidays). (YA'LL DO THE MATH.) I let time go by before I started calling the middle of July to confirm there would be no issues and the method of payment. I was told a check would be issued July 31st..Every time I called they could not offer a check #. Red 🚩🚩#2. I called August 1st and was told that the check did not get mailed out on July 31st due to weather and the post office but I was guaranteed that the check was being sent out that day and I should have by August 11th, I called August 11th. Again no check # could be provided. Red 🚩🚩🚩#3.

If the check was issued why can't a check # not be given to me... I was offered the option of ACH on August 11th on that call (which I accepted) and was advised by the agent that they had just started back issuing claim payments by ACH. I provided my banking information 2x that week and I have made 6 phone calls this week requesting a supervisor call me and I still have yet to speak with a supervisor. I filed a complaint with the BBB & I am in the process of contacting the Attorney General.... DO NOT do BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A SCAM & RIP OFF....

Let's see if I get a response NOW since no one from the company can give me a straight answer and this is me being on HOLD 45 minutes or more each time I call with no results. NOT to mention the $$ I spent going to the laundromat to wash clothes $100.00 a month since May to do laundry. 😡🤬🤬🤬 #pissedoffconsumer

Worst company to do business with. They are bunch of unprofessionals who will not even send the claim you file for 5 days to dispatcher team to send a technician out despite of an urgent need for repair or replacement. Don’t do business with this company. If I don’t get my full refund I am suing not only the company but Ana ** and Jay **, individually, the two folks directly involved in my case with recorded calls and written communications. This is a clear breach of contract and a scam. I have full transcripts of all phone calls and email communications with Elite and will be pursuing legal action up to and including a class action lawsuit to protect others from their scam if they don’t make me whole by 5pm on August 18, 2025. My ABSOLUTE DEADLINE!
