I submitted a claim that is clearly covered in the policy. After tossing my calls around for three weeks and not having heat, I dug a little deeper and found out the entire company is a bunch of kids sitting in an office in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Their entire purpose is to collect premiums and avoid paying claims at all cost.

I bought the policy in September (19). I was told you cannot use for 30 days 10/19. I made a claim 12/24 GUESS what? They are only responsible FOR UP TO $300, for the first 90 days....wait, it was after 90 days you think.. NOPE, technically has to be 120 DAYS. So the 1st 4 months, REALLY ISN'T COVERED. Review page 24/30 on the contract. So you buy the contract, have to wait 30 days, and then wait an additional 90 days. might as well save your 4 months of payments and just pay for your own repair. Disgusting scam and actually called me at first and said it's not covered, the compressor of my refrigerator. I was like, I read you do cover compressors. Then they backpedaled and said, not going to pay more than $300 for anything because it's in the 120 day period.

I will give an honest review after having the company for 7 or 8 months. For starters I have used the warranty. This company has paid to fix several things. I will say so far they have covered the issues so far minus my deductible. The reason for 3 stars is simply this. My first experience with the warranty was a somewhere around the 90 day mark. I had bought a 13 month warranty. Do not listen to a pushy salesman. Because they will lie to you in order to make a sale. Read the fine print for all the loopholes to see if the warranty fits your needs. Also keep in mind the first 120 days of service you are not covered. Not really.

The first 30 days you're not covered at all. The next 90 days they will only cover a max of $300 minus your deductible. So really $225 max. That 24 to 48 hour turnaround time is nowhere in the ballpark of what actually happens. It can be weeks or longer, before even hearing from anyone the first time after filing the claim. However there is a way around this. Simply speak to a manager and things go like they claim. If you're not willing to deal with all the phone tag games and having to wait on hold to speak to a manager to get something done. This warranty is not for you. If you can handle that save a little money in the end it's fine. If my wife and I could get customer service every time like we did yesterday. This warranty would be fine.

Terrible Experience. Potential shoppers, don’t be fooled by the positive reviews. I’m sharing this based on my mother’s experience, and it’s been nothing short of a nightmare. She filed a claim on Sunday for a hot water heater issue. A plumber came out the next day, and his incompetence almost caused a disaster. He spent 10 minutes trying to light the pilot light, filling her garage with gas fumes to the point where he almost passed out. Instead of fixing the issue, he submitted his assessment to Elite Home Warranty, and we were told we had to wait for approval.

We had to call Elite numerous times to expedite the review process, only to be told the repair wasn’t covered because the plumber claimed the gas valve was the problem—a part that is, in fact, covered under the policy. I reviewed the contract myself and confirmed this. After pressing the issue and speaking to a manager, they admitted their supervisor was wrong and agreed the repair was covered. Despite this, the issue still wasn’t resolved. Elite sent out a second plumbing company. They spent six hours diagnosing the problem and determined the gas valve wasn’t the issue after all.

Now, six days later, my mother is still without hot water, and we’re once again waiting for Elite to review the situation and decide what to do next. Elite's tagline claims they “put homeowners first,” but this could not be further from the truth. Their service is unprofessional, unsafe, and agonizingly slow. Between the poor service, dangerous mistakes, and lack of urgency, I cannot recommend Elite Home Warranty to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

Another scam home warranty company... Don't be fooled, they will not do anything when needed, they hire questionable contractors, they do NOT stand behind their so called warranty. I am seriously thinking about hiring a law firm for a class action lawsuit. Leave a comment with your story.

Buyer beware!!! Total scam. Nir is a con artist. Explained every appliance and hvac units to him. Sounded great. "Yes. We cover it all no matter of age." Well they don’t cover forced air HVAC at all!!!! What 75% of American have for their homes. And if you closely look at the not covered items (look really good) everything not covered is what causes for units to be replaced, therefore they never have to pay for HVAC your house, only very easy and cheap fixes. I was with American Homes Shield and I was not happy with them, but they would have covered my HVAC unit. Do not buy from them. We have no heat and it was 13 degrees last night.

Great with first claim. After that- horrible. I’ve been waiting over 2 weeks for my heater to be fixed. I took off today because a tech was scheduled to come out that wasn’t! Home warranties are absolute rip-offs including this one!

Terrible customer service! In the end they of got repair on my washing machine but gave me a terrible runaround! They lied to us, said it wasn’t covered but would pay for good relations! Talked to 3 different reps and got a different story from all of them!! I definitely do not recommend them! Even the repair service were terrible to deal with.

I had really high hopes for this warranty company, and had a good experience the first time I used them- but it has gone downhill from there. My policy says that ceiling fans are covered, but they won't fix a broken switch (even though the policy literally says switches and controls are covered.) Then to "assess the situation", they want to charge an additional $70, even though they are already charging me for an electrician to come to my house for a claim they admit is covered. And even worse, my furnace stopped working, and they won't do anything to fix it. Large house systems like a furnace is literally the reason to have on of these policies in the first place. Terrible ripoff of policy. Garbage company, go elsewhere.

WARNING: Elite Home Warranty is a complete fraud! They will NOT live up to their agreement, and you'll be forced to take legal action if you choose to deal with these scammers. I am currently in the process of filing for arbitration with the American Arbitration Association due to Elite Home Warranty’s utter neglect of their responsibilities—not once, but TWICE for two separate issues. I hired legal counsel after experiencing months of their fraudulent practices, unjust claim denials, and blatant refusal to honor their own warranty agreements.

      Issue 1: Air Conditioner Replacement
I filed a claim to replace my completely broken Casita air conditioner. A licensed HVAC professional confirmed the unit was beyond repair, yet Elite Home Warranty denied my claim, citing "improper installation." This is absolute nonsense! The unit is 100% non-functional and needs replacement, which is CLEARLY covered under my policy. Instead of honoring the warranty, Elite left me with a $12,000 replacement bill. If you value your money and sanity, DO NOT TRUST these people!

      Issue 2: Pool Heater Repair
After months of runaround, Elite denied my pool heater claim because they claimed it was "not properly maintained." Excuse me? Everyone knows a pool heater is a closed system—there’s no maintenance to be done! The parts aren’t even available anymore, meaning a full replacement is necessary. Still, they refused to cover it.

Both of my claims were legitimate and backed by professional assessments, but Elite Home Warranty did everything in their power to dodge responsibility and deny coverage. Their customer retention manager, Anna, has been a nightmare to deal with—delaying resolutions for months and actively obstructing any real progress. Her incompetence is just one part of the larger fraudulent scheme that defines Elite Home Warranty. I’m warning you now—if you purchase a policy with Elite Home Warranty, you’ll end up like me: out thousands of dollars, frustrated beyond belief, and forced to take legal action just to get what you’re owed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THESE FRAUDSTERS! You've been warned.
