We want you to know we recently purchased the midline pool from Blue World. I think it is the best thing we could have done. It is the most prettiest thing in our backyard now. We swim in this pool almost everyday. I had been having circulation problems, but boy!!!!!!! When I get in the pool my legs feel much, much better, and when I get out I am moving a whole lot better. We saw the commercial on television and called. Mike ** was our salesperson. He came over to our home and he explained every little detail to us. Yes it is just like he said "practically a maintenance free pool." I love waking up in the morning and going to the pool on. Our dog is dying to get into the water, but we have to wait for our deck to be built.
This pool is the best thing we have invested since our home and vehicle. Just to let you know, our pool is going to be a showroom for the new customers in the Louisiana area. We are so happy for that!!! We can't wait. Gone swimming now talk to you later.
We are very picky individuals, and choosing a pool to fit our lifestyle was no different. We made the decision to go with Blue World after we looked at and discussed other pools and companies. Our best experience with Blue World was the installation crew. They were very open and honest with us from the start! To me, honesty is a huge thing, and we may not always feel everyone is truthful and honest. But the installation crew was amazing. The weather did not cooperate on the day they started on our pool. After traveling 7 hours to the house in Kentucky, they had equipment problems due to the mud and rain. Two days later, they returned and finished the job in a timely manner.
We had read a lot of bad reviews about the installation crews on other jobs, so we were worried. These guys really calmed our fears and put us at ease. Before the installation, if we were asked if we would buy a pool from Blue World again, we probably would have said no. But now that we have our pool in, the answer is definitely yes. Between the installation guys, and knowing we don't have to buy chlorine tablets, we are most definitely happy.
I would definitely recommend Blue World Pools to everybody!! Great pool at a wonderful price!! I love my pool and wouldn't trade it for anything!! Low maintenance ease of use!!
High quality product, great professional installation, like low cost chemicals, ionizer does the trick.
We absolutely love the Blue World Pool. Somebody in our household is in it just about every day since it's been warm enough to be in it. Decking around the outside of it so that makes it even nicer. The guy that put it in, he and her daughter, were very nice. Unfortunately, the last day they were here, it rained cats and dogs and they left a lot of mud and stuff from their vehicle but I've had that fixed and everything is just great. We love it. We had no problems whatsoever.
I purchased a blue line pool and I love it. Its big and beautiful. The rock liner is very nice and the heavy metal Fran we can sit on is great. The no hassle chemical part is even better. It was well worth the money.
We love our new Blue World Pool. The installation crew was fantastic. They were very friendly and got our pool put in all in one day. The team is great with answering all my questions about weekly upkeep. Would recommend them to anyone.
We have had an awesome time with our pool and the experience we've had with everyone we've talked to at Blue World Pools. We would recommend you to anyone. Blue World Pools has given us quality family time and good exercise that we weren't getting before. Thank you so much from all of us.
Got installed just in time to enjoy the rest of the season. Beautiful pool, high quality pump and filter keeps the water sparkling clear with no chemicals. We were worried that they wouldn't be able to put the new pool in the same spot where our old pool was, but it fits perfect and looks great. Installers were very professional and had it installed in one day.
Ionizer replacement - The fact that we called and were told right away material would ship was a plus for us, so much so, we ordered 2. Although we have had the pool of only 1 year, we are still every excited and even have had a new deck built around it this summer. Enjoyment at its best right out our own back door!
We purchased a pool and we are very happy with it, as well as the customer service that we have received since we became owners. Thank you to Blue World Pools for all their help and support.
We purchased our pool from Blue World pool in July 2011. As had discussed and wanted a pool for many years. I saw an advertisement on television for above ground pools at an affordable price. I called and scheduled an appointment. The salesperson that came was very knowledgeable. He answered every question we had. Now we have an awesome 24 ft. Pool. My family is ecstatic with the pool.
Upon purchasing our pool, my family fell on hard times financially due to the passing of my husband (who was the one who maintained the pool). I contacted Blue World Pool and they were there for me every step of the way. They were patient with me while I caught up my payments. The customer service walked me through getting my pool up and running right down to the low maintenance. Thank you so much, Blue World Pool.
Our pool was purchased from Blue World Pool in April 2007. I had wanted a pool for several years. I saw the ad on the television for affordable pools from Blue World Pool. I called for an appointment and now we own a 24 foot pool. We built a large deck around it that made the pool look very welcoming, nice and accommodates a number of people for parties. We love the relaxing feeling of the sparkling water after a long day at work and grandchildren enjoy having over friends to swim with them. During summer when school is out we swim as often as we can that include late night swims. I am now a retired teacher and can swim through September. I love exercising in the pool and I have a scheduled workout that is fun in the water that consists of exercises that are not possible in the house.
It is low maintenance only consisting of using the ionizer and adding Clorox every now and then. The service department at Blue World Pool is informative and cooperative. The replacement chamber for the ionizer is in hand two days after ordering. I would recommend Blue World Pool for any size pool desired.
After all the upsale we wanted the 299 advertised pool special. Someone got on phone and informed us there was an additional 385 for shipping from Georgia, then proceeded to tell me all the reasons why I could not prepare my site. I'm in construction and have my own equipment and insurance. They still told me no and didn't even have forms to purchase this pool. I don't think it is even available. Very unsatisfied by their deceitful tactics.
I purchased the deluxe model of the Blue World Pool in 2011. Since then each summer has been filled with excitement and family fun. The installation of the pool was completed at the time specified and done in a professional manner where there was no cleanup after installation. I only had to fill the pool with water and start swimming. The installation of the pool has created a fun-filled place for the grandchildren and also a relaxing place in my backyard for the adults to gather and enjoy the atmosphere that's created by adding the pool.
This model that I have is a pool that is large enough for the entire family to swim and play in the pool at the same time. The upkeep of the pool has been inexpensive and easy to maintain by the entire family. We have enjoyed our pool and would recommend the Blue World Pool to anyone who would like to increase family time, increase the value of your home and most of all make plenty of fun and relaxation at your home.
My wife and I just bought this pool. It has been a pleasure being able to come in from work and go take a swim. No red eye effect and the temp on the pool is great. The kids love the pool and so do their friends. For many years we have bought other pools but I would say I am so glad that I found out about Blue World Pools. If you ever have any problems all you have to do is call their customer service and they are quick to help you out. I would recommend this pool to anyone.
It was a rocky start when we first bought the pool. A lot of information we found was hidden. But overall, the pool itself is great.
I got my Blue World Pool in 2008 and I couldn't be happier. Years ago I had the headache of a chlorine pool. Big expense, constant care and smell. This pool almost takes care of itself. There's no smell. It costs very little to maintain. Service is great. I needed a new ionizer and called. They knew exactly what I needed and it was in my hands in 2 days. WOW...
I had posted a review back in June about some issues I had with the installation guys but after what started off to be a big mess has ended in a HAPPY customer. Jim from Blue World Pools really made me feel better about the whole thing, from the day the installers left me with an unworking pool to a new team (Eric) coming to my house to fix the issues. He has gone out of his way to take care of this for me! My family and I are excited to know that our pool will be up and working in just less than 2 hours. My sweet little girl which is 4 is ready to get in this big bathtub as she calls it! Thank you, JIM and Eric, for helping me and making everything right again. I’m very excited to have this Chemical free pool in our backyard! You all have made me one happy lady!
We bought our pool about 5 or 6 years ago and we love it. We have had many parties since getting the pool: birthday parties, pool parties, even a Halloween party using the pool to float bones and a fog machine to add the spooky factor! I use the pool to exercise and it helps relieve pain from arthritis and Fibromyalgia. One reason we really enjoy the pool is that it is not difficult to maintain, and the water has a beautiful clear sparkle!
I have had my pool since 2008 and love it. It's almost maintenance free. I replace the ionizer chamber once a year and add Clorox about once per week. Run the vacuum and have fun. It could not be easier. I have a great warranty and customer support. I would highly recommend BLUE WORLD POOLS to anyone looking for a low maintenance swimming pool.
After having a bad customer service experience on yesterday morning, I spoke with Mario in service who was very nice to me and he ordered a replacement part for the clear cap that I posted a bad review about on July 1st. The part arrived today July 2nd, and my installer, Kerbin aka Rocky, came over right away and fixed it. My system is now running smooth and my kids are enjoying their new pool. I have changed my feeling about Blue World Pools thanks to the fast actions of Mario ordering the parts and the fast reaction of my installer Kerbin getting the parts on my pool system.
My biggest thanks and the main reason I will now recommend Blue World Pools to my family and friends is the great customer service I received from Johnita in the service department this morning. She made me feel like my needs were important to her. I felt valued as a customer. She apologized for the service rep’s lack of compassion to my needs from the day before. She also made things right by offering gift certificates and floats for my kids as a token of appreciation for my business and to let me know how sorry the company was that I had such a bad experience the day before. Blue World Pools should be grateful to have folks like Mario, Kerbin and Johnita working for them. That one bad apple almost ruined it for me, but it took all three of them to make it right. I am now a happy customer. And the most important customers Larry III (13), Sadeshia (11) and Deshara (8) are now enjoying their new pool.
I just purchased a pool from Blue World Pools. My kids and I were super excited to fill up the pool and get started so we can swim. After I followed the start up instructions, I placed the pump valve on the filter and this clear cap attached to the filter flew in the air and water began to pour out everywhere. This happened yesterday on Sunday. I could not get any help because service was closed. I called service today and told them what happened. First of all, they did not seem as if my freaking out over this was big deal to them. That made me mad. The guy did give me some options to lubricate the cap and told me how to stop the water from flowing out in the future as I will have to remove the cap at times. Neither product worked. Now I can't get anyone on the phone to help me.
I believe that there is something wrong with it. I also believe that one of the installers may have known that also because if it were twisted on properly from the beginning, it would not have flown off like that so soon during the start up process. I think he could not twist the cap on just like I can't twist it on. I am very upset at this point and I am regretting my decision to purchase from Blue World Pools. My kids are stuck in the house staring at a pool we can't use because I can't run the filter/ pump.
We purchased our pool in 2008. Since then, we have loved our pool. There is very low maintenance and a lot of fun in the pool. This is the first type of pool we have owned. We are so glad we purchased this pool and not a blow up pool. We do not have to use a lot of chemicals in our pool. All we need to do is just one and a half gallons of bleach every two weeks and once a year, just change the Ionizer. The rest of the time we have fun. Thank you for showing us how much fun we can have in one of your pools.
We have no complaints with Blue World Pools, but rather the contrary. We recommend them. We've had our pool since 2008 and have been very happy. The company staff and installers were all very helpful, informative, and available whenever we needed them, even after the purchase and installation. A good product and a good company!
I have read the complaints on Blue World Pools and I have to say that I do not agree. I guess it's just a matter of opinion. I have had no issues with Blue World Pools. They have been great and I tell everyone about it. If I have an issue, all I do is call and it is fixed in a timely manner. Thank you, Blue World Pools. I enjoy my pool. Keep up the good work.
We love our Blue World Pool that we purchased in 2008. Our kids really enjoy it and it has been very easy to maintain. The sales staff were extremely nice and helpful and the installers were efficient and did a great job. I am very glad that we decided to purchase our pool from Blue World Pools.
We purchased a pool off of Blue World Pool and haven't had much luck with it. The guy that set it up really didn't go over on what we were supposed to do and was late setting it up. Then they said we had getaway vacations that we could use anytime we wanted if we upgraded but now, when I'm trying to use the vacation, I can't get a hold of anyone where they did vacation through. I called Blue World Pool and told them, and they were supposed to call me back. They never did and they never told me that I have to give this place money to set up a vacation. I am very unhappy with Blue World Pool.
Our pool has been a blast since we had it installed back in 2008. I would highly recommend a pool for anyone thinking about getting one. Blue World Pools' service is like no others - great.
My dad bought a pool with Blue World Pools. He passed away and someone told that's my problem and I had to pay the bill. They didn't work good at all. Now the liner is torn.
We just had a Blue World 27' round pool installed this past weekend. Everything went very smoothly. The installers were quick/professional and did a good job. They were very thorough with their instructions in start up and caring for the pool. Blue World followed up with me several times to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I am very pleased so far!!!
I bought my pool in 2008 and is very pleased with it. My boys enjoy swimming in it every day with their friends. We upgraded to a 24 inch and it is perfect for our family. I enjoy how easy the maintenance is on it.
In 2006, a gentleman came to my door unexpected. He was a rep for Blue World Pools. We began to talk and as he could see I was interested in buying a pool. We actually signed a contract that day. I was very excited because after reviewing all his information, I was impressed. The TV commercial just didn't do justice to all that Blue World had to offer. I was expecting a small pool for around $300 but instead ended up ordering an 18' round pool.
We purchased our pool in 2012. We are very happy with the installation and the service every time we call or need supplies. We do not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone wishing to purchase an above-ground pool.
In 2007 we ordered our Midline 18' pool. We needed someway for me to exercise with little or no impact (I have two problems with my spine which are progressively getting worse). This pool was the answer to our needs. I can exercise and the water helps support my back. Even better, there is no pain afterwards. Plus I love to swim. The men who put the pool up were very nice. They even put the pool up in the drizzling rain. We didn't have to lift a finger to prepare for or assemble the pool. Anytime we have a question, I just call and they find an answer. Thank you for all your help. It is nice to be able to get help when you need it and not feel silly about asking for the help or asking questions.
We bought our Blue World Pool about 4 or 5 years ago and we love it. One of the things we love the most is that we do not have to put chemicals in our pool. No more faded swimsuit and no itchy skin.
We are very happy with our pool form Blue World Pools. It is very easy to keep clean. I have friends that struggle all season long with keeping their pool clean, and we don't. The only problem we had is that the vacuum doesn't work like it states it does. It is supposed to go around the pool on its own and vacuum, but it keeps getting caught by the steps. When we free it, it only goes around the outside of the pool. Other than that, we’ve had a great experience with it. When they came out to put up our pool, it was a great experience. The installers were very professional and answered all of our questions. This is our second summer with it, and my kids love it!
Wow the best pool ever!!! Many friends with standard filter pools struggling to keep clean and we are swimming circles around them!!! So grateful for the knowledge of the salesperson and BWP for schooling us on the positive points of this pool!!! Love it and so easy to take care of and a great company to work with!!! Big thanks from us here in Millville, OH.
We bought our pool in 2010 and have enjoyed it every summer, spring and fall since. There has been no better peace of mind knowing my children are safe swimming in a clear water environment without harsh chemicals or fear of other creatures. Our installation was simple and everyone we have dealt with has been very helpful. I would recommend BWP to anyone wanting to have summer full of fun without breaking the bank for water parks. Also, the safety ladder has been extremely purposeful.
We just bought a swimming pool from Blue World Pools. I am very satisfied with all aspects of my dealings with this company. Everyone I dealt with was polite and cordial. I'd like to write more, but I'm going swimming!!!
We got our pool in 2012 and enjoyed the pool, start of this year. We are happy to use the pool and it's easy to maintain also.
I just wanted to tell Blue World and everyone who is thinking of getting a pool, I wouldn't know what to do without ours. We love it and use it almost every day. We use ours from March through September and even October, even when the weather is warm and the water may not be warm enough for some. We just simply put our solar cover on it (that came with my pool) and it warms the water up by drawing the sun to the water. And we can get a few more months out of ours while all the neighbors has covered theirs up for the winter. Our pool is easily maintained by just a gal of bleach a week and the ionization system on it which is simply the turn of knob, no expensive chemicals or anything to that nature. You use the test strips that also came with it and check it. If it needs anything, just adjust with the stuff that came with it. You basically do nothing but keep your skimmer basket clean and put your pool vacuum in when needed and let it go. It does the work for you so you do nothing but swim and have fun in the sun with the family.
I would recommend this pool to anyone that is looking to buy. Blue World has several different sizes to offer and different things to fit you and your family's needs and wants. Thanks, Blue World, for our wonderful pool that has saved me money in lots of ways: 1.) Gas driving to the nearest lake to swim and all the extras you have to carry when you go, food, drinks, etc; 2.) Money saved on tanning packages for my wife, and I could go on and on. But we have it set up to walk down our back porch steps and climb the ladder and get in. We are very happy with our pool and the friendly service you offer... If you're in the market for a pool, let these folks help you. You won't regret it!!! And I have several friends and family that will say the same. Thanks again, Blue World.
I bought my pool in 2008. It has been one of the best purchases we ever made. Graduated two kids with that pool and now our two year old loves it. He has made it his personal playground. Never any issues, minor maintenance and quiet running. Would recommend to anyone.
We were told we had three days to cancel our pool contract. When we called and explained we were needing to cancel because our development Home Owners Association denied our request for an above ground pool. They said "ok, sorry to hear this, and please keep us in mind in the future". Two months later, out of the blue, we were called by Mr. Kevin ** who told us we would be paying for half the pool at an interest rate of 18%. He would see to it personally that a lien be placed on our property and that this would be reported to all three major credit reporting agencies. They then proceeded to process our deposit of $500 from our bank account two whole months later!! When we called about this transaction, they basically said too bad. They then threatened to garnish our wages!
This company is very unkind. Please do not trust them. We are a family of 6 and this has been very wearing on us and the $500 withdrawal crippled our finances. We were not planning on that money coming out. It took our gas money, grocery money, and the money we needed to live on until the next payday, not to mention the outstanding checks that bounced and we were fined $30 each for!
After what started off to be a big mess has ended in a HAPPY customer, Jim from Blue World Pools really made me feel better about the whole thing from the day the installers left me with a un-working pool to a new team (Eric) coming to my house to fix the issues.
He has gone out of his way to take care of this for me! Me and my family are excited to know that our pool will be up and working in just less then 2 hours my sweet little girl which is (4) is ready to get in this big bath tub as she calls it! Thank you JIM and Eric for helping me and making everything right again very excited to have this Chemical free pool in our backyard! You all have made me one happy lady!
This whole process has been a BIG MESS! I am a business owner myself and it's family-owned as Blue World Pools claims to be family-run. I really wish I would have stuck to my guns when I told the salesperson several times NO, that is just too much money but they get you by going down on the price from 28 thousand dollars to $8,400. I had a salesperson in my house for 4 hours trying her best to get me to buy one of those pools, faking that I was getting a great deal, that her supervisor never gives anyone a deal like that. Which is a lie because I come to find out everyone gets that deal. So I finally said, "Yes, let's just do this," because what I loved the most about these pools was the fact that it is chemical-free, great for my kids. That alone is what sold me.
I was told that I would have someone calling me in a couple of days to start the Financing process for my pool. One week went by, and I didn't hear anything from them. Finally, I got a call to start the financing process and then got another call 1 week later telling me about a great deal they are giving me; I get to have the classic pool, their best pool for the same price so I definitely took it. I come to find out there is a price difference, a 5000-dollar difference. I found that out on the day the installers came. I went ahead and signed the paperwork because my daughter was really looking forward to having a pool; my mistake will never do that again.
Altogether, it took 3 weeks to finally hear from an installer. They came on a Thursday; that whole day was nothing but paperwork and leveling the ground. Day 2 was them putting up the pool, so now I have missed 2 days at work and at the end of day 2, they still were not done with my pool. They left my house at 8 pm. They told me to leave the water running until a certain point then shut it off. That meant I had to stay up and watch water fill up my pool so around 2 am, I shut it off to go to sleep because I had to get back to my business in the morning.
Day 3 of installation, I walked out to look at the pool and saw that the pool walls were bowing in all around the sides. I got a call from the installers 10 min. later telling me that the lining in my pool was too small and this big story about how they will fix it and they just don't know when. They had already been to my house that morning and just left. The way they left my yard with trash, water bottles, boxes, dirt and sand everywhere is just not acceptable. They even left my ladder in the middle of the pool so now I have a falling down, half filled pool in my backyard. Blue World Pools says, "Let's GO swimming," a lot when you are on the phone with them while they are trying to sell to you. Well, guess what, Blue World? I can't, because my pool is falling apart and I'm left to clean up the mess! Thank you!
Your installation team is the face of your business and you send me 2 men that have never put in one of your pools - not a smart move. At least have them trained before you send them out! I would never let this happen! It's Father's Day weekend and my fiance just passed his masters test and we were supposed to have this wonderful pool up and running for this day and now I have to cancel the party and move it to a different location which I am out the money for. I am also out the money for the water and days I had to take off. On that note, I called Blue World before I posted this just to see if I could get someone to help me!
I called Blue World Pools; a lady who did not tell me her name answered and got really smart with me, telling me, "I don't play games" that if I was 3-way calling her, I better quit. I have no clue why she thought I was 3-way calling her. I never once raised my voice with her because that's not how you get things fixed or to receive what you want. At this point, I am just sad and very unhappy to see businesses ran like this and people getting screwed over. I feel it's not right at all how they are running their family-owned business. I am not the type of person to write a bad review about a business on the internet but this just can't keep happening.
I'm so unhappy and I was looking forward to referring my friends and family to this company. I would not send my worst enemy to this place. At the end of all of this, I feel VERY PLAYED AND TAKEN! Note to Blue World Pools: you should not have made your company so big that you can't do what you say you will do. I would never let one of my clients walk out of my company unhappy and feel the way I feel. You take care of your HARDWORKING customers that spend money with you. I will make sure I do everything I can to let it be known that your company is not worth the money or headache as I have read all of the bad reviews. Next are the BBB and my lawyer. This is wrong!
So I just got a call from Shawn/Sean from Blue World pools. After posting my last complaint a few hours ago, Shawn has seen the review online and called and told us he would personally make sure our pool is put up ASAP! He was not happy with the way the installation people have handled themselves and has assured us that we will get everything taken care of! He said this is his family's company and he wants every customer to be 100% happy with everything. I am pleased to know that there are people who still have standards and want to do good business!
Thanks, Shawn, for the help! He was very, very nice and said that if anyone else should have a problem to directly contact him also! As soon as our pool is up, I will post pics of my kids swimming and having fun! And Shawn told us he would have a new installer come out and do the job! Fingers crossed and praying for good weather now, so we can get our pool! I've never seen a review on their pools being bad. Everyone has said that once their pool was up, the product was great... It was just dealing w/ the installation stuff. So here's to a good pool! And thanks, Shawn, for taking care of us!
They tricked us by putting an ad up for a $299 pool. Then they have a salesman come out for 3 hours and talk to you about pools, and tell you how the $299 pool is a horrible pool to get. Then they start out with prices of $28,000 for an above ground pool!!! I told him numerous times, absolutely no way! He kept dropping the price and I still said no! He then called his manager Todd from the company. Todd told me that he would drop the price to $8,800. He talked to my husband and told him this price is only if we agreed to take pics of the pool in our backyard and they could use it as a show pool. He said we would have the pool within 7-10 business days, and they will have someone come out, level the land, pour sand down and install the pool. We wouldn't have to do anything! He promised it would be ready before my kids got out of school.
Well, it took 3 weeks to finally get the parts for the pool and the installer came out with a bobcat to level the land on a day it was raining! I told him he was just going to make a muddy mess. He said he was going to give it a try anyways! Well, the bobcat made a huge mess and ended up stuck in our yard! A week later, he came back for his bobcat while no one was home. Now we can't get in touch with him and we have a huge, dirt pile, muddy mess in our backyard and pool parts scattered everywhere! I called numerous amounts of times and have talked to Micheal in the installation department, Mario in the installation department and then even spoke with the Vice President of the company (Jim). They were so rude to me and basically said it wasn't their problem that my backyard was a muddy mess now. If I wanted to blame someone, I should blame God!!!
So a month later after paying for this pool, we have a bigger mess. No pool put up and horrible attitudes from people at the company. My kids are out of school for the summer and stare out the window everyday wishing I would have just bought a $600 pool from Walmart! At least it would be put up and they could swim! Stay away from this company! Blue World Pools is horrible!
I was definitely taken advantage of during the salesman visit to convince us to buy one of their pools. The man was at our home from 6:30 pm till 10:30 pm at night and wouldn't take no for an answer when I would respond by saying, "No, it isn't within our budget." He continued to negotiate and said he would make it a show pool and I would be obligated to advertise in our neighborhood. The total price of the pool is $18,000, and he dropped it to $16,000 and then down to $12,000 each time I responded with a no. He pressured me to make the decision that day even though I was reluctant and wanted to wait until I researched other options.
When I called to cancel, they told me I would be responsible for half of the cost even though I have no pool in my yard and that I couldn't cancel over the phone! This was just for cancelling and furthermore, the salesman also said the same thing. Legally, I know that is impossible; it's just a form of intimidation... As I read some of the complaints online about them, they are the same as ours. I was thankfully able the next day to cancel my check as a deposit to them, and I have to close my account because they planned to debit our account on a monthly basis. This, in my opinion, is a scam and people need to be aware of it!
The salesman was new with the company but was very nice. What he did not know he was willing to find the answer to. I was not at all interested in the cheap model. What I was most excited about was the fact that I would not have to use the heavy chemicals in the pool because I am very health conscious and was looking for what would do the job. Last summer was our first year and it was short a little because we did not get the pool until summer was already partly gone. The contractor that put it in for us was good and put the extra dirt out of the way where I wanted it. They did it in one day and I was well pleased with their work.
You could tell that they had put many of them in. A few weeks ago when I took cover off the water, it looked like you could jump right in. I only cleaned it a little and started the filter and ionizer after filling it up to the skimmer. I installed a deck completely around the pool 4 foot with part of it 8-foot. With the design of our house, the above ground pool is nicer than an in ground pool would be. We had an in ground pool years ago and I am very pleased with the above ground pool we have now. My great grandson is delighted with the pool. I would add a picture but not sure how to do it.
I had a salesman from this company out recently and it was a joke... Honestly, I wasn't interested in the cheap $399 deal. I wanted a good pool. They kept pushing "being a show pool" in my area and I really didn't mind the thought of it. They said it would be at MY convenience. After the 1 1/2 hour presentation, I said I wasn't willing to sign today. I had them out in order to get a price and if I made the decision to buy the pool, I would be in touch. Then the pressure sales commenced.... The price went from $18,000 to $8,819... That right there told me NO WAY even if I hadn't known before they came I wouldn't sign that day...
Then came a few calls to the home office, talking with the "manager", him hanging up on me because I stuck to my guns of not signing today, talking with the "VP of the company", who wasn't any better, and then them taking away my "deal for today only". Since then, "facts" were presented to me I have since found aren't true. I have read TONS of horror stories from people who have done business with them and it MAKES MY DAY. I followed my intuition and didn't do a deal with them that day. I can't even imagine if I had signed an agreement giving them access to my backyard for me to show this pool? Ridiculous... and VERY scary! SHAME on these people for doing business this way.
I called Blue World Pools wanting to purchase a $399.00 pool from them. They took my information, gave me an appointment time and then called the next day to cancel. I received in the mail a contract to purchase this $399.00 pool from Blue World Pools. After reading the terms and conditions, they wanted me to sign the deed to my property over to them and get a $300,000.00 life insurance policy payable to them in the event that something happened. At this point, I was appalled. What really got my goose cooking was the point if I purchased this pool, paid the outrageous shipping ($500) and installed the pool myself, I would have to allow 4 random visits from them each year to check on their product. I must give them exclusive access to my home periodically to make sure that I wasn't attempting to purchase another pool from a competitor. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A RIPOFF.
The Econoline pool does not require the deed to property but proof of home ownership as our advertisement states. The shipping is $395 or free customer pick up. A life insurance policy is not required. Blue World Pools, Inc. does not require 4 random visits to check on the product. Blue World Pools, Inc. does not require exclusive access to the customer's home for any reason. If a customer or potential customer has questions on the Econoline pool or any other pool please contact me directly at 1 800 706 09007 ext 3031 Sean Warren. If there are customers that have any issues whatsoever please contact me directly at the above number any time 7 days a week, I would love to help.
I called Blue World Pools. Their salesman came out and measured the yard. I wanted the $399.00 pool. It was a 90-minute talk. After he was done, I told him I only wanted the $399.00 pool. He said he wanted to sell me the midline, which was $22,000.00. What a joke. I said no. He said, "I'm gonna go to get a soda. I'll be right back." He never came back. I called the company and they told me they would send me the papers out. They never did. Stay far away as you can from this scamming company.
I called Blue World Pools company to ask about the econoline pool. When a salesperson came to my home, I found out all that has to be done by me to put the econoline pool together. Wow, so I went with another pool that the company had to offer. But after signing the paperwork, 8 hours later I tried to cancel. A female associate on the finance dept was very, very rude to me. She informed me that they have not even received my paperwork yet and that I should have known that I could not afford the pool before signing the papers. That it was stupid of me for doing that. With tears in my eyes, I told her that I need to cancel, that I am a stroke patient and I need to cancel because I can't afford. She never gave me her name, but she did tell me not to call back again.
I called the salesperson who came to my home. He made a phone call on my behalf to the office. 30 minutes later, I received a call from Mr. Kevin **. I explained what happened with one of the workers. He is the only reason, the only reason, that I have a pool from Blue World Pools. It is not okay to talk down to a person that change their mind. People call it peer pressure!!! Before anyone agrees to anything, please do not sign no matter how good it sounds.
On Friday, May 10th, 2013, I arranged via internet to have a rep from Blue World Pools come out to my house to explain an ad I found for an above ground pool. The ad was for the Econoline Pool - $399 installation included on customer-ready site. The rep proceeded to inform me that I did not want that pool because of the added shipping expense and because he had better quality pools to show me. He also pushed the fact that my site would need to be ready because that's not included. I explained right away that my site was not ready because of the city requirements of where I live, which I had copies of and tried to hand to him. He said he did not know about any of that and not to worry about it. He then proceeded to do his sales pitch. Not to be rude, I let him continue.
After constantly trying to tell him that I can't afford the pool he was recommending and that I still needed to check with the city and their requirements, he proceeded to call the office and talk with someone to get the $21,000 price down to $8,800.00, which I know I could not afford. I told the person on the other line that I could not afford the pool. He then asked me to hand the phone back to the rep, which I did.
After a few minutes, the rep hung up with the office person and proceeded to inform me that if I decided to cancel after signing the contract I could cancel. I have done this before with companies and had no problem canceling within Texas 3-day cancellation guidelines. So knowing full well they probably could not get me financed anyway, I agreed. Worst decision of my 51 yrs. The rep lied to me when I asked how I can cancel. He gave me the name, number and extension of a female who would help me to cancel. She is the finance lady and she would be more than happy to help me. I also asked several questions while he was there that day and he either avoided the question or out and out lied to me.
After explaining several times that I can't afford it, he again called the office and put me on the line. Here it's recorded, but they deleted that recording of me stating I can't afford it and then re-recorded after being pushed into saying yes because I was also being told I could cancel without a problem. What a scam!
The next day I called back as he instructed, and when I finally did get the woman on the phone, she informed me that she could not help me with a cancellation but she would have a rep that could assist me call me back to help me cancel. After not getting a callback I began to get concerned, so I tried repeatedly that evening and that next day, Sunday, May 12, Mothers Day, to get someone to answer the phone. Of course no one did.
On Monday, May 13, I made several calls again to try and get someone on the phone. Late that evening, finally a man answered the phone. By the way, they don't state their names when they answer the phone, and when I asked for his name, he was rough in his answer back to me asking me what I wanted. I never did get his name. Very unprofessional. Hold on, it gets worse.
I explained to him that I was needing to cancel and that I was informed by (I gave her name) that she would have someone call me back and that I had not received the call back yet, and I needed to cancel. By the way, he's talking over me this whole time. He proceeded to yell at me and suggested in his tone and words that I must be stupid for not reading what I had signed, because it specifically states that I cannot cancel by phone and that I had initialed that so I could not cancel. I tried very hard several times to keep my cool with this person, asking him not to talk to me in this manner and how I can cancel if not by phone. He proceeded to insult me and tell me "You can't cancel."
After disconnecting the call with this person, I got a call from another male person in the office. After listening to his voice mail, I realized this was going to get worse. This person left me threatening voice mails telling me that I could not cancel and the only way to stop this was to pay them $4,400. If I did not pay them, he said he would put a lien on my house and report this to all 3 credit bureaus, and that I did not want that to happen because it's not reversible.
Today, these calls are still happening. Yesterday, I was told by the city I live in that they are not registered to do work in my city. I called and of course got his voice mail, and I explained to him that they are not registered to do work in my city. He called back several hours later which went to my voice mail because I was at work. In an ugly tone he explained that they don't need to be licensed in my city. My city said they can not do business here, I let him know this and that I needed the cancellation form which seems to be missing from my paper wok to cancel. He then told me I can't cancel. He proceeded to tell me that there are 2 ways to resolve this: 1. I pay the $300 deposit amount to proceed, or 2. I pay the $4,400 to cancel and he will proceed with the lien on my home and reporting me to the 3 credit bureaus because that's how he protects the company's interest. (Have you heard and seen their ads? "We Love Our Customers") He said he would do that today if he did not hear back from me today.
I called back and of course got his voice mail, explaining to him to please hold off because I was needing to get back with the city first. Blue World Pools is not registered with them so they can not do work in my city or on my property. This has nothing to do with a license. His voice mail back to me was that he can't hold my paperwork and that he will continue to proceed if he does not get my money today. I found out that they did run a credit report and tried to pull the $300 from my account. Both happened after they knew I was requesting to cancel. I can't even get a loan for $700 so how could I qualify for $8,800! After discovering this, I called again with no answer and left a message for the finance woman to call me back to explain the terms of the financing. But of course, I have not heard back from her.
This matter as of this writing is still not resolved. No resolution has been forth coming, and after repeated attempts to cancel and my repeated requests to get a cancellation form, which by law was supposed to be in my paperwork and was not, I'm still being told "You can't cancel!" I am looking for resolution here and to put an end to this company's bad business tactics. After this ongoing bad experience, I hope this helps you to stay far, far, far away from Blue World Pools. Check back for updates. God Bless!
After posting a review at an earlier date, an executive of Blue World Pools contacted my family to explain that there was some miscommunication between us and their representative. They explained to us fully and told us a refund of our downpayment would be sent to us as soon as possible and no lien or other action would be taken. We regret we were unable to get the pool because it appeared to be an excellent product which is chemical free. In the end, Blue World resolved this misunderstanding between us and its representative in a professional manner.
My wife and I had been in the market for an above ground pool for our grand kids; little did we know it was going to be a nightmare. We called Blue World Pools. One of their sales reps came out and explained like I'm sure you have heard over and over the $399 pool they offer on their website comes out to about $5,000. So he continued on. Not using our better judgment, we continued to listen to the sales rep. So after he showed us a book with all the great benefits this pool had to offer us and the fun our grandchildren would have using it, he came up with a price like $17,000. We then told him we could not afford that. Then he told us if we show the pool to perspective buyers so many times a year, he could get the pool down to about $9,000.
So with that being said, we agreed if they could get us financed. So we called and called after filling out the finance paperwork and got no return calls until someone called said, "We were unable to get you financed. Could we come up with more down or provide our own financing?" Our answer to both questions was no and this time, the sales rep told us we will still be responsible for 30% of the $8,000 and a lien would be placed on our home. So now, we are stuck paying 30% of something we have never owned or seen. We have tried to ask why since we could not get financed and they told us the contract was not based on a continence that we get financed. It was based on cash which was never mentioned anytime during our negotiations.
I called Blue World Pools 3 times and asked a great deal of questions. Every time I called, the same person answered (Phillip). I saw a commercial about a pool for $299.00 including installation. I made an appointment for the same day. I provided all the information that was asked. The gentleman informed me the rep would call an hour before he arrives. After I never heard from anyone, I called the number to follow up. When I called from the same phone number, it didn't allow me to speak to anyone. An automated message came on that a rep would not be coming over. I was very disappointed.
I provided a second phone number when I made the appointment. I called from that number as well and got the same recording, so my number was put in the system to block me from calling. I called from a third telephone number that wasn't provided. The same person (Phillip) answered. When I told him who I was and what transpired, all of a sudden the phone was disconnected. I called back and never got a straight answer. Save your hard earned money. They'll take your info and do God knows what with...
I recently went to work for a gentleman who installed pools for this company. As a contractor myself, I understood all the facets of contracts, client relations, quality work and above all, customer satisfaction. Initially, I wrote most of the initial problems off as a fluke; however, I soon found out that this company and its policies are anything but honorable. I worked for three weeks installing pools primarily in Kentucky; red flags popped up at every turn. Clients were promised one thing from the sales representatives and the company, and were delivered another. Most of the negative reviews that I read hit the problems with this company flat on the head. I have provided my services for over thirty years to people all over this great country, and I can tell you that I have never contracted for such a downright despicable company.
They will smile and promise you the world in order to get you to sign the paperwork. At the same time, they are conspiring the easiest way to take your money. For God's sake, please consider buying a pool from a better company. Do not sign their contract (if they won't let you have a copy of anything you sign or allow you to have a lawyer review the contract, that should indicate that there is a problem). I cannot tell you the details of just how evil this company is. By the way, they make their so-called employees sign a contract to say that they will never say or write a negative review or comment about this company. Fortunately, I was not an employee of theirs, but of the contractor that signed such a document. On his behalf and all other installers that work for this company, I felt it was my duty to let the public know that these folks just can't be trusted.
My name is Sean Warren and I am part of the owning family of Blue World Pools, Inc. I would be happy to take you through when the customer first calls all the way to after the installation of a customer's pool. We do tape recordings to ensure the customer's order is correct and to make sure there are no misunderstandings. It appears you simply do not have the full picture. You could not have possibly dealt with the paperwork or you would KNOW that the customer ALWAYS receives a copy. Let me take the time to take you through it so you can have a better understanding as what you wrote about my organization is completely misguided. Please call me at 1 800 706 0907 ext 3031, Sean Warren. PS If there any customers who need any help whatsoever prior to posting please call me and let me remedy your issues. 1 800 706 0907 ext 3031 Sean Warren
Be aware! This place is a ripoff. Their sales practices are a joke and their paperwork is very misleading. Do not trust them when you have a question concerning the paperwork and then call the main office. Regardless of what they tell you over the phone, once you sign the documents, it's a binding contract. There are cancellation fees of 30% of the price of the pool and after a certain period, the cancellation fee is the entire pool cost, not to mention there are documents which indicate that they will put a lien on your house as well as cause you to lose your house and any money you have in it. I did not buy a pool from them.
Luckily for me, I am a contract manager and understood the language in the paperwork. This place is a joke and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I feel sorry for the people that signed without reading. The sales will talk to you nonstop while you are going over the documents to distract you! They will not leave the paperwork for you to review either. Stay far, far away.
In 2009 I was shopping for a pool. I was leaning towards an inground but was concerned about the expense. I saw the ad for "cheap" above ground and thought maybe that would work while I saved money for the inground. Joke was on me! The salesman told me that if I purchased the more expensive pool, they could install it completely in the ground and it would be exactly like an inground, and I would save a few grand. I was in disbelief that an above ground could actually be installed like that.
So, the salesman called Blue World and put his phone on speaker. His manager convinced me that this pool was like no other above ground, and it could be put all-the-way in the ground. The only catch was it would cost a little more for the installation (which made complete sense). I was then "ganged up on" with 2 salesmen brainwashing me that this was a much healthier choice for an inground pool (since the actual price was only $3,000 less than an inground). I signed the contract, paid the deposit, and set an installation date (which was 3 weeks later).
The date of the install arrived and I was very excited. First, the contractor made me sign a new agreement because Blue World upgraded the pool I ordered from the mid-grade to their most expensive. His crew was already putting the pool parts in my yard, and I thought to myself “they had to upgrade to put it in the ground”. I was excited and I signed. The excavation began but stopped after only leveling the ground. I approached the contractor and told him the pool was supposed to be placed all-the-way in the ground, and it was the only reason I agreed to buy it. He told me they could not put it in the ground like that and I needed to call Blue World. I immediately called.
I spoke with a manager and told him the names of the other manager and the salesman who told me it would be put in the ground. He confirmed that the pool could not go in the ground and informed me that the manager and the salesman no longer worked for the company. I informed him that I did not want the pool if it couldn't be put in the ground because that was the only reason I agreed to buy it. The manager became rude and told me I was legally obligated to purchase the pool because I didn't cancel within 3 days after I signed the original contract. I explained I didn't know then that they wouldn't put it in the ground, or I would've never signed to begin with.
Then he said they would put a lien on my home if I didn't pay for it (whether they installed it or not). I then told him if they weren't putting it in the ground, I didn't want the upgraded pool. If I was being forced into the contract, I wanted him to honor the original ($2,000 difference). He told me the instance I signed the modified contract it voided the original. I bet this manager got off the phone and laughed while I was in tears.
In fear of losing my home, I've been paying for this seriously over-priced pool that I didn't want for nearly 4 years. I figure it's the price I have to pay for an extremely important lesson - trust no one! The icing on this nasty cake was when I got a phone call the other day. It was Blue World Pools. The representative told me I would get a free ionizer if I came to this website, wrote a positive review, and she confirmed the comments were positive. Really? A bribe? Does this company have any decency? Guess I won’t be getting a free ionizer... LOL!
In response to my post about our problems with Blue World Pools on April 22, 2013, we were contacted by Blue World. This time we dealt with a very helpful lady named Johnita **. She acknowledged she was unaware of all the problems we had with this pool and our service, and apologized on behalf of the company. She also assured us that all the problems would be taken care of. Blue World did agree to do what the salesman promised us (as in the discounted items) and also refunded us for the repairs we had to pay for out of pocket.
I am very pleased with the way this lady has helped us and it totally made my experience with Blue World worth it. Although in the beginning we had problems, we did enjoy the pool and continue to enjoy it. Now that the problems are solved and we no longer feel that we were misled, we can enjoy it even more. We definitely will recommend them in the future.
Our experience with Blue World was not a good one. Our salesman told us it would be a chemical free pool, all the parts would have a lifetime guarantee, and our pool was a show pool and we would receive discounts on all items. We were also told that we had to replace only one part every year which was an ionizer and it would cost $100 but would be discounted. Within the first summer, our pool was off level, foggy, and the ladder rails broke. We took a sample of water to our local store and were told we needed about $150 worth of chemicals. We also had to purchase the rails for the ladder at our own expense.
The ladder is now broken again. The handrails are very cheaply made and do not last at all. We have had our pool almost 3 summers now and have had to replace them every summer. After a long period of time and waiting, someone did come look at it being off level and we were told it would settle. It is a little better now. We upgraded our purchase through Blue World and were given a heavy duty winter cover. This was a joke. It caved in the first winter and allowed so much stuff inside the pool it was ridiculous.
We have since bought a new one at our local store which cost us but was worth it. When we went to replace the ionizer that we were told would be $100 before discounts, we were told by Blue World that it was on sale for $160. We have also had to have plumbing work done on our pool twice. The first time by Blue World, of course, didn't get fixed right so we had to pay our local pool store to come do it again. Overall, the pool is nice and we enjoy it but honestly I feel like we were ripped off, lied to and would have had a better experience and saved a lot more money if we would have purchased it from our local store.
Writing a recommendation for a company with the attitude that has been displayed with Blue World Pools is a gigantic pleasure. Every aspect of the program was carried out like pros. The pool’s installation was scheduled and completed as set. The installers were professional, as was anyone spoken to at the offices. The pool was installed, the area trash was disposed of, and it constituted a great summer for my grandkids. Thank you Blue World Pools. We would recommend you to anyone and everyone.
Hi! My name is Shiaunda ** and my family and I received our pool back in June, 2012, just in time for my son's birthday party. Every one came and had a great time in the pool. We all enjoyed it very much and it's easy to keep clean and to maintain. Thanks Blue World Pool for the best pool ever.
It’s one of the best investments we have made. The pool is so easy to keep clean and the water has stayed crystal clear since the day it was filled. We live in the country and are surrounded by dirt. I figured we would be constantly cleaning, but it does its job. And the kids are all thankful. They have really enjoyed it. Thank you, Blue World Pools.
I needed to share my experience with all of you about our new pool. The sales representative we worked with was very knowledgeable, patient, and kind. They did not push us into any type of pool. They explained the difference and my husband and I chose. There was no pressure in picking the pool. The quality and professionalism of the installers was very thorough. They were kind and very respectful to my family. The pool was set-up in a timely manner. My grandkids just love the pool. It’s great for my family.
We saw the ad for a cheap pool and knew it had to be too good to be true for $399. We called and the salesman admitted that it was to get our attention and he proceeded to show us their program. We ended up getting their best pool which was a great deal of money but still far less than an in-ground pool. We've had the pool two seasons now and are quite happy with it. And our grandkids absolutely love to see Grandma and Grandpa whenever they can to swim. They have learned to swim and snorkel and they've made a lot of friends in the neighborhood. Our pool with the ionizer system has been far easier to keep clean and far less expensive than our neighbor's pool with the harsh chlorine system. We love our Blue World pool.
We bought a Blue World pool in July of 2011. We did have a problem with the ladder - it broke on the first week that we have owned the pool. My husband called and they sent out new parts for it immediately as promised. It’s a beautiful pool and our family has already enjoyed many hours of fun!
We ordered our pool from Blue World. They upgraded our pool for no additional charge. The payment is affordable. We live 10 miles from the community pool. With fuel prices like they are, it is very convenient having the pool right there at home. Our family loves having parties and gatherings for swimming. It is easy to care for.
We have had our pool for 3 summers. Although the kids love having it, dad and I are getting upset when we do everything we have been told to do and still the pool will not stay clear. Weekly cleaning, scanning and using the snake to pick up the bottom has all been a joke. It's hard to have your kids plan a pool party and we can't get it clear for them to have it. We have enjoyed the pool. We actually, during these economic times, decided to go ahead with putting a pool in to offset the vacations we were unable to afford the past 2 years. I have recently lost my job, it's been 14 months, and I try daily for new positions.
I was a little disappointed when my husband called to try and have Blue World Pools work with us in order to not lose the pool the kids are so in love with and was told no. They would not help, would not refinance or even drop our payments and tack on extra years. Kids love having it, they enjoy it when we are able to keep it clean enough for them to swim in and it is something I do not want to take away. This is one of the last things we have that we are trying our hardest to hold onto for their sake, but all the treatments we do, we cannot have their pool in working order for more than a week at a time due to the water not being/staying clear.
I am praying this info gets to who it needs to and they see a hardworking family trying to keep up on our responsibility we took on, but feel we were misguided on the upkeep, and the company not working with us at all since I became unemployed. Satisfied with the setup, the pool itself, but unsatisfied by the lack of use we get from it due to issues that were never "heard of" with this pool.
We have had our pool for about a year now and have been very happy with the pool and everyone associated with Blue World Pools. I had only one complaint, and that was a leaking liner. I made one phone call and they corrected the problem right away. My family has enjoyed many hours of fun and relaxation. And the pool is as easy to care for as they say it is.
When they were installing my pool, I told the guy it was not level. He said his instrument read that it was level and continued. Upon filling the pool it was 5 inches out of level. I called the company and they told me to use it and they would fix it. At the end of the summer, they sent a new guy (fired the 1st) and leveled the pool and installed a new liner. They did everything they said they would and more. They made a skeptic into a believer. Now I love my pool!
Blue World Pools provided exactly as promised a beautiful, easy to care for pool. They were professional at all points from sales agent to installation to technical support. The pool was installed in one day and was full of water the next day. It has since proven to be a fun spot for my family and many of my neighbors.
I was very happy with the purchase of my pool from the salesman who came to my house to the installer who put it in. It has been a great investment not only for my property but for my health too. I have used my pool almost every day since it was installed.
We had a company called Blue World Pools out to our home. The reason being we saw an ad of theirs online for a complete pool package for $399.00. When the salesman came out, he told us all the reasons why we did not want to buy that pool and after almost three hours, he convinced us to buy a $15,000 pool from him. We gave him a $1,000 deposit, which he said he would hold until we were approved for financing. In the meantime, we did some more research and found the same exact pool for $8,200. Well, we called the office to tell them we had changed our mind and wanted our original down payment check back. We were informed it had already been cashed and that we were legally obligated to buy their pool.
The salesman lied to us, when we called the office the next day, we were told they would not cash our check and they did and now, we are obligated to buy this $15,000 pool that we can get somewhere else for $8,200. These guys are all crooks! All they want is your money. Stay away from them!
I went to a two day cram class on how to sell swimming pools to consumers on preset appointments. They were advertising a $299.00 pool, when we left they were paying from $10,000 to $15,000 for an above ground pool. I have been in sales for 20 years and have never seen anything like this. I quit them today because of the financial stress the company had put on me and my family. I also googled the company and found out all the horror stories of other people who have dealt with them. We were trained to scam people and then in return, we also get scammed out of our commissions. If someone would please listen to how this all takes place, it will blow your mind. I have found out many things in the last few days and have caught them in many lies. Just google complaints on Blue World Pools and if you want to know the whole scoop, please contact me ASAP. I also know that they have changed their name at least 4 times.
I listed to an ad that said sales closers make an average of $4,000 to $6,000 per week. Due to bad economic times, I had to close my business of 9 years and decided to take this job. Today, I find out after working 3 weeks and writing $81,000 in business that I am not getting paid on payday either and that their contract keeps us from getting paid. This has caused my family financial hardship, plus I realized what was happening to the consumer after I googled Blue World Pools.
If an attorney would listen to a sales pitch and see how it works, you will fall over dead. It is my understanding now that they have been banned from selling pools in Georgia and I think Florida. They continuously travel from state to state training new people, hoping to get 1 or 2 sales before they quit and if you quit before giving a week’s notice, they charge you back $367.00 per lead they say they could have set for you that week, deleting all of your commissions. Also, once you see the big picture, it is unreal.
After 3 days, the customer is threatened with a lien on their house and a 50% cancellation fee. I was personally called by Blue World Pools this week before I quit and told to take the letters out of my sales brochures I leave with the consumer after the sale that has their contact information on it ruthless is an understatement. You must hear how they do it. Also this week before I quit, I was asked to run an appointment with someone I knew and as I was figuring this all out, I denied the appointment and told them I would not go out and sell a $1,500.00 pool to them for $10,000 and they said okay and sent me out of town. This is when I really knew I was becoming part of this and now I am scammed out of my money also and expenses for traveling at least 5,000 miles.
I also have another person who was in class with me who they are holding their money and could get many more from the net who have not been paid either plus the homeowners who have been wronged. Can someone stop them? Thanks.
I bought my pool almost 5 years ago, and I knew when I did it, I got the shaft but was quite honestly too embarrassed to tell anyone. The salesman who came to visit knew I wanted a pool bad, and he told me I could buy the $399.00 pool but it was the econo pool. It would cost more in chemicals and would not last long term.
He started off with a $15k figure, and I assured him that it was not going to happen. So he got on the phone with a supposed manager, and the price kept coming down for this reason or that reason. And then they said they could give me another disc for making it a show pool. Of course, they never came back to show it to anyone, and I am still making payments on the thing.
I love my pool and the low maintenance, but I could have bought 5 pools for what this one will cost me once it's paid for. The salesman used the ionizer to sell me the pool like it was a great thing, and that is why it cost more. I have priced them, and I could have bought a pool for $3k and bought the ionizer separately. And I could have bought 5 of them at what I am paying.
I know that some of the responsibility lies with me, but I am a consumer. Being a single mother, I try to shop wisely, and in this case, I look back and know I didn't do such a good job. Now, I have gotten a letter from Blue World stating they have former employees saying they did something wrong when it was the former employees who stole from the company. I don't know who did what. All I do know is I got ripped on a new one, and it would be nice if someone would stand up for us and say so.
I called about a pool I saw on TV for $399 and a sales person came out to my home. The sales person told me the pool for $399 was not a good pool, that it was cheap and would cost too much to keep up for my families use. The man told me that the more expensive pool was the best way to go because it would be cheaper to keep clean. He said it was a chemical free pool, that once a month I would need to put a cheap bottle of bleach in it and that is all it took to keep it clean and in use. He said that I would spend two or three hundred a month to keep the $399 pool clean due to buying the chemicals for it. He said all I need for the more expensive pool was around .89 cents a month. He told me that the pool that was advertised on TV was cheaply made and in a year or two would need to be replaced and was a waste of money.
He said that it was going to cost me a lot to get the cheaper pool because I would have to get sand hauled in and a bulldozer to clean the site and it would have to be inspected before they would sell me the pool. He told me it was a waste of time and money to buy the $399 for it to mess up in a short time and I should want to improve the value of my home with the expensive pool. He said the value of my home would increase and if I wanted to sell, it would make it easier due to the value of the pool and the look of the home. He said I wouldn't have one of the $399 pool if it was given to me. I told him I didn't want to spend that much money on a pool.
Then he said ,"Well, I have some incentives I can throw in to make it cheaper for you because I like you." He said if I agreed to use the pool as a show poo,l he could deduct a certain amount off the pool. Then he said, "I can call my boss and see if I can use my personal discount to save you even more money." Then he called and I spoke to the manger of the company who offered to drop more off the price of the pool. So I told the sales person after I got off the phone I still didn't know if I wanted to buy the pool. Then he started to push, "Well, I have spent here all this time and did all this work and used my personal discounts and you won't regret it". He said, "When I leave, you won't be able to get the discounts I offered you; the deal will be over." I felt pressured and like I had done the man wrong for not buying the pool so I agreed to buy the expensive pool.
Later that night, I called and left a message on the manager's answer machine saying I changed my mind and didn't want the pool. I stopped payment on the check. I got a call a few days later about the payment and that I had to have the cancellation in writing to the company within 3 days of signing the paper work. I never was told there was a time limit on the cancellation process. It was not shown to me at the time of sale. The lady told me I had to either pay the down payment or pay a percentage of the cost of the pool to cancel the contact or they would take me to court for the price of the pool. They also told me of a loan on my home they could enforce if I didn't honor the contract. So, I have been paying on this pool and it costs too much to keep up. I can't even use it anymore due to the chemicals which cost too much. It was a lie when the man said it was chemical free. I feel wronged and I feel I have wasted all the money I have paid on the pool.
My ex-husband saw a ad on TV for a $99 a month pool from Blue World so he called the number and they sent someone out. The man was an old man. He took like 2 hours talking about his life and he had retired from the army. When he got to the pool, he got very nervous and started to talk faster like he was timed or something. We asked about the pool on sale because he was talking about every other one but that one. Since we were on a fixed budget that was all we could afford and that was why we called. He told us that that pool would not last long and he would work something out where we could get a better pool that we could afford.
I kept telling him no, that we could not afford it since the price was so high. It was something like $400 a month. He told me this pool would not need any chemicals but 1 gallon of bleach every week and it would stay clean and ready to swim in year-round. He said that I would never have to drain or refill it again. He said that the pool would help me lose weight by walking around it and doing water exercise and would reduce my stress. He said that it came with all the accessories like a vacuum, free chemicals and a vacation to I don't know where and some other stuff as extra.
Then he got on the phone and talked to some guy and told him that we could not afford this quality high pool. He said okay, that his boss said they would make us a deal; they would give us this beautiful pool that was going to change our lives for a cheap price but we would have to be a show pool which meant that when they wanted a customer to see one of their pools, they could come over and see mine and this was supposed to happen a certain amount of times per year and that is how they would knock off these thousands of dollars and get the payment to $300 a month.
We also had to write a letter stating how the pool has changed our lives for the better. I said no, I did not want it. It was still too high. He talked to the guy again and they lowered it to $231 but I told him I still could not afford it. I thought they had the special one for $99. He said, "Well, this is the best you will get and the price is so low you can't beat it." He said, "You won't find a cheaper pool. We will install it and you have warranty so if anything goes wrong just call us and we will send someone out." The installers will explain how everything works when they get here in a week. He went outside and said, "Okay, this is a good size. It will go right here."
So he went inside and took out a small fax machine from his bag and told us to sign the papers and he need the papers from the house. I was like for what. He said that since it was a show pool, they need to make sure that we would keep paying it by putting a lien on the home. I asked him what was that. He said that if we did not pay for the pool, they would add the balance to our mortgage and that for us to finish buying the house, we would have to pay that at the end of our mortgage. Now he was asking for too much, so I did as he said. As he told us to sign some papers ,he started to shake uncontrollably and he asked for water. We gave it to him. He was shaking trying to hurry and fax the papers over to the company.
He then told us about the 3-day cancellation. He said that we had 3 days to cancel but everyday it was a fee we would have to pay if we waited to cancel but that we had 3 days. If we waited today, it was a certain percentage because he had already turned in the order. If we waited 2 days, it would be more since they started to get the pool order together and if we got the pool at the house but they did not install, it we would have to pay for the pool then and the shipping also if we were to cancel. So as soon as he faxed that paper in, the days had started. I had given a posted date check as a down payment for I think it was $250 because I had to put down $500 for them to start building. The other $250 was due when they came to install. He left a pink copy of what I think was the contract but I am not sure since I cannot even read it. Because he was so shaky while faxing it, he wrinkled it up and has some black from the fax carbon. then the writing did not go through on my copy, so I do not know what is says or said.
He said they would be here in a week to install. I called in the next day and tried to cancel but because I could not afford it, a lady told me that the pool was already being shipped and that I would have to pay I think she said 33% of the price and a return fee because the order was already in process. I thought to myself, okay, I cant afford 33% of I think it came out from $99 dollar a month too. I have to look at the price but I think it was a $15000 pool. So I called again the next day and told them to cancel because I was not going to have the $250 for the installer when he called. The man said, "Hang on" and returned to the line and said, "You will have to pay the fees because your pool was already shipped but I will do this for you. I talked to my boss and they said for me to waive the down payment." There was no way I could pay the fees, so I said fine.
A couple of days later, I got a call from Blue World. It was a woman saying that the pool was ready to be shipped but they were verifying that someone would be there to tell us where we wanted it and that we had to open at least 6 feet of fence for the machines to come through. She also said that she had to add on the cover and some other things and that is was going to be $5000 more and I told her no, I did not want it. She said I had to get it to protect the pool or else my water would get dirty and it would damage the pool and then it would be my fault and the warranty would not cover it. I was like why did no one say this before. She said it was on the way and that the installers would be here in 2 weeks.
The pool came and we waited for the installers but they never came. It was like a month or more when they showed up at night time. It was dark. I think it was like 7 or 8 pm when they started working. I stayed up late until they got it done like 11 or 12. They called me to see it and I went but I could not see much since it was dark and they told me to sign the paper because they had finished. They left the water on, a 6 page booklet on how to work the pool. In the morning I woke up and there was stuff all over the place. I did not know what the things were. I just saved it in the garage, things like rubber, pipes, hoes a metal small white machine and some plastic parts and I guess extra screws. The pool got filled in 3 days and we got in. I felt lumps and holes and little pieces of stems or grass where the sand was not level or covering it, but I said maybe it will settle as we swim in it.
We swam in it like 3 times and the arm of the ladder broke. My ex-husband called it in and they said they would send out a new one. So we put some duct tape on it, then the water started to look foggy like a light cream color. My ex was swimming under water and saw a bag of sand under the ladder but it was leaking the sand into the water making it foggy and dirty looking. We tried to clear it up with the vacuum but the vacuum they gave us was useless. We tried our best to put it together since no one walked us or showed us anything.
They just installed and left us like that. Then leaves started to fall in it since it was already fall. We took out the cover and tried to cover it but the cover was too small. We tied it to the pool but since it was too small all the leaves and stuff were falling in it. Summer time was here again. The part took forever but it got here but it was the wrong side of the handle of the ladder. We called it but they never sent it. The water was by then black and dirty and murky since the tarp did not cover it. All animals like pigeons, rats, frogs and squirrels and insect were in there, dead and leaves and green algae.
During the summer months, we had ran the machine and put the bleach but it was not working and this was the outcome. So we drained the pool out and cleaned it and refilled it up again. We have done this every year except for this one. During these years, about 2 years ago, I got fired from my job and I got sick. I got fluid in my heart and in my body. I could not make the pool payments on time and they started to harass me, calling all the time and telling me "you want us to take your house?" I got into it with a lady because she was very rude. Then they sent a collector ;it was about 9 p.m. and we were celebrating my dad's birthday. He was here saying that he needed a payment. I told him I had already talked to someone and made arrangements. He connected me with the man and the man had accused me of hanging up the phone on him and acting like I was someone else. I told him it was someone else because I was at the hospital that day and my daughter said yes, it was her who answered the phone and I asked her why she hung up on him and she said because he was being rude. So the collector left.
Well the water was always green and stinky, full of algae, never clear. It only would be clear for 2 or 3 days after filling it up. Mold and algae would start growing. I have called several times and asked for advice but all they tell me is to put the bleach. Since then my ladder has broken more and they said it is not covered no more. It was like 70 or so dollars. I have wasted tons of money on algae cleaner and water clarifier to keep it clean but it will only last a week or so and then back to the green pond. I last called and they told me the ionizer needed to be replaced every year and it cost somewhere like 200 dollars, almost the pool payment amount which no one told us about that at all. It has been like 4 years or more and no one has ever come to see our so called show pool. Now the pool just sits there. We swim in it 2 - 4 times a year and that is it.
Every summer, we drain what is in there and clean it out and refill it again which adds like 500 dollars to my water bill. There is no need to cover the pool anymore. The water started to leak from it this summer and we think the liner is torn somewhere. Now I am on a fixed income, disabled and too sick and tired. I just try to make my payments so I won't lose my house and I give up on the pool. It will just stay there because I cannot afford the upkeep and repairs or the pool.
We feel Blue World Pools used deceptive acts in the conduct of my consumer transaction. Very high pressure sell. I was coerced. No response in my 3-day period to cancel the transaction.
