Why Xbox is starting to fail. Xbox was great at first because all these new games came out. People were just starting playing them. They were fun the first time but now games are not really fun or good quality lots of people are starting to lose fath in game pass. Yes good games take time But now is the time for new good games to shine.
Ok Now this is my option on this subject if trying to save game pass you need drop the price to 15.99 and add good classics again like Fallout, Subnautica, Subnautica bz, or Raft. And if they do some players will come back. They can fix game pass they just need to back to there roots and add games that players like as a community.
They need to add to more gere to game pass like survival, shooter, adventure, horror, zombie, simulator, or sandbox. But even when you go in to a gere sometimes you see games in the wong one not like sandbox in adventure more like shooter in simulator.so they to fix that but not everything is bad its just not as good as competition. So I think xbox needs to start working on it soon or xbox will fade away into a failed gaming company. Ok now time for some else like xbox’s need for more exclusives like grounded or halo series because not having exclusives like those games. Survival games that have time and effort in them take minecraft for example it years of work put in to and the community loves or hates it.
Yes not everyone likes it but it has fans if you don’t like survival games you have halo or call of duty if you don’t like that we have tabs. There is so many options you can your favorite game but again the gere don’t work well and the search bar is worst you need so accurate in spelling you can’t make a one spelling error. When I saw that for the first time it made no cents and it does not make cents you are not in school so why do you need to perfect in spelling a game.xbox needs a good search bar or just make a new one. Next topic why is there no

My son was locked out of his Microsoft XBox account for “suspicious activity” toward the end of 2023, and I have since been trying to get the account reactivated. I went through the process of working with CDOC Case Management (who only reached out to me after I posted a complaint on another website, pissedconsumer.com, as my many requests through the official support portal on their website were ignored) and, after providing the representative with a 60 page document providing extensive evidence of ownership of the account, I was informed that they were satisfied that I had successfully demonstrated ownership of the account and, as such, the account was now unlocked.
Elated, I immediately tried to login to the account only to find that I was still unable to do so. I contacted the representative to inform her of the situation, and she sent me back through the same process that I had just gone through. I pointed out that I had just gone through that system, and that it was that system that had led me to my communications with her, and she simply redirected me back to the beginning yet again. I requested a phone call, and she responded to say that a phone call would be possible (her exact words were as follows: “We can arrange a phone call if you want”). When I responded to accept her offer of a call, she responded with an email stating that my case is now closed and that I would need to restart the process to get any additional help.
I have since emailed her three times pointing out 1) that I have already gone through that process with her, and 2) that she offered me a phone call in the email right before the one in which she stated that the case was closed and no further help is available. I have not received a response to any of those messages. I need help with this issue. I am beyond frustrated with what has been an unnecessarily long, complex, and burdensome process. In total, I have lost approximately $4000.
For anyone considering becoming a Microsoft customer, I would suggest that you strongly consider alternatives. My story is not unique. A quick search of the Microsoft Forums, Reddit, and a myriad of review sites are rife with similar stories, many of which describe experiences substantially more economically (and even emotionally) devastating than my own. One heartbreaking story I encountered is that from a woman who used Microsoft’s cloud storage service as a repository for videos and photos throughout her children’s entire lives. When Microsoft locked her out of her account (for similarly ill-defined reasons as those they gave me), she lost everything. The recordings of her children’s births? Gone. Photos from major events in their lives? Gone. It was an incalculable loss for her and her family.
In all of my years as a consumer of a wide range of products involving electronic accounts, I have never experienced anything like Microsoft’s punishing lack of customer support, relentless referrals to a standardized but wholly ineffective account recovery service, and sheer disregard for its customers. Banks, who control access to all aspects of our financial wealth do not require a fraction of the effort that Microsoft requires to restore access to accounts including nothing but video games, movies, and photos.
It is baffling that a corporation would act with such aggressive disregard for its customers, a disregard that borders on outright cruelty. And, once again, I want to point out that, in my case, Microsoft explicitly established that I had demonstrated ownership of the account. I was able to meet their ridiculous threshold. It took months of effort, massive amounts of documentation, and, ultimately, contact initiated via means outside of the official Microsoft protocols. And yet, despite their own determination that I had established ownership of the account and their agreement that the account should be unlocked, they have not done so. So, for those of you considering purchasing from Microsoft, I would beg that you keep this company’s actions in mind and think hard about whether or not you want to put yourself at risk. There are excellent alternatives who will treat you with the respect and consideration you deserve.
For those of you who have already experienced similar treatment, please share your story far and wide. As I mentioned above, the only way I was able to get Microsoft to contact me was to post on pissedconsumer.com (make sure to select the option to send the review to the company if you do), but there are many other sites as well, and I have posted on as many as I have been able to find, including trustpilot.com (which also allows those who post to have the review forwarded to Microsoft) and sitejabber.com. I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (https://www.bbb.org/).
Please also do not simply limit your attempts to get help from Microsoft to the broken “account recovery system” that simply does not work that you have likely been referred to over and over and over again. I have encountered the following email contacts that I would encourage you to use to reach out to Microsoft: rapidresponse@we-worldwide.com, info@xbox.com, customeradvocacy@microsoft.com, buscond@microsoft.com, xboxpress@assemblyinc.com. If you have exhausted all of these avenues to have your issue resolved through Microsoft, you do have other options, and I want to present some of them here. Unfortunately, these only apply to those who live in the United States of America. If you live outside of the USA, there are almost certainly similar options in your country.
First, you can file a complaint with your state’s consumer protection office. Each state has different laws and regulations, and each consumer protection office has its own guidelines, resources, and capabilities, so the process is going to vary widely. Thankfully, the Federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (which, unfortunately, does not provide assistance with issues connected to electronic commerce other than financial products) provides a list of each state’s consumer protection office here: **. Simply find your state and reach out to the office. Unlike many of those who work in government agencies, those who work in consumer protection are often extremely passionate, energetic, and truly eager to help consumers face mega corporations and others who take advantage of their customers.
Second, you can file a suit again Microsoft in Small Claims Court. Each state has its own system in place for handling Small Claims Court, but, regardless of what Microsoft might try to tell you, you are allowed to sue them for whatever you have lost if they have blocked access to your account resulting in the loss of everything you have bought and paid for regardless of what state you live in. Thankfully, Small Claims Court is designed to be inexpensive and is intended for those who will not hire a lawyer, so the courts are more supportive of and sympathetic to regular people presenting their case before the court. The National Center for State Courts provides a list of the websites for each state court system in the United States: **. These do not link directly to the Small Claims courts, but they should be easy to find with a quick search.
I want to end by saying that Microsoft will continue to act with impunity as long as there are no consequences for their bottom line. That reality can engender feelings of powerlessness. They are an oligopolistic megacorporation with virtually limitless resources, and they seem to revel in that fact. But we are not powerless. In fact, we have ALL of the power. If we act in a coordinated way, then Microsoft will feel it and they will adjust. If we all fill every review site with calm, objective, but unflinchingly accurate descriptions of Microsoft’s mistreatment, then they will see it and feel it when those cumulative reviews give others pause and stop at least some consumers from choosing Microsoft services.
If we file complaints with our state consumer protection offices, eventually those offices will realize the extent of the problem and will act. And if we, as I believe we should and as I plan to do, we take Microsoft to court, we force Microsoft into the court system, at least some of us will win. And even when we lose, Microsoft has to pay their lawyers to research the case, prepare for court, and show up for the proceedings because we deserve our day in court. We deserve the chance to make our case and show that they are acting poorly. All of that is going to get very expensive if we do this. And courts will take notice if they see case after case against Microsoft.
And, should you take Microsoft to court (as I sincerely hope you do), the court records from the case will be public records, which means that you can share them with the world. Even if you do not win the case (and you may very well win), publicly airing Microsoft’s “arguments” and their official statements while under oath will not reflect kindly on them as a company. Any insulting, hostile, or otherwise dismissive comments can be shared with the world as official representations of the company’s position. That bad PR will absolutely hurt them. We can win. All we need to do is act.

The customer service is useless at best. Trying to get a real person on the phone is an absolute nightmare. I managed to get locked out of my account and spent 3 days jumping through hoops just to find out they can't help. I have to wait up to 5 business days to see if they will unlock it. I have canceled my game pass account and will be trading my Xbox for a ps5.

I bought a Brand new, Xbox One Branded Controller from Walmart around 3 months ago. I went to register it on Microsoft.com under my acct and it said, "Warranty Expired." It's BRAND NEW! I was told by the customer rep (Chat Support) that all I needed to do was to send a copy of my Walmart Purchase Receipt to Customer Support and they would "adjust my warranty" to the date on my receipt. YOU CAN'T IMAGINE THE HASSLE that I've been thru with Microsoft Support! I called and was on/off hold for 3 hrs, "Echo" (Microsoft Support) told me to send her my receipt in PDF form, which was a hassle, but I did it, but then she said the purchase receipt must be sent from Walmart (Which Walmart DOES NOT DO!). IT'S ALL INSANE!
I have the receipt in my hand as I speak plus I have the digital copy. I've sent all that to Microsoft. I told "Echo" that this warranty flaw must happen to many thousands, if not millions, of Microsoft Customers that buy a controller or other product from a 3rd party retailer, ie, Walmart, Kmart, GameStop, etc. Does everyone have to go through this impossible warranty flaw?!?! I call it a flaw because Microsoft KNOWS most of their sales comes from 3rd party retailers. The problem is that Microsoft sets the warranty to begin when the 3rd party retailer buys the products NOT when the customer buys the products!!!! That is just extremely backwards and a straight up SCAM!

Hundreds of games, movies, tv shows, DLC. I went back and screenshot all my purchases since 2010. I spent way too much for a company so quick to perm ban a heavily invested customer for the reason of "something you posted in a review for a game". They don't even have direct quote evidence and I've posted 100s of reviews, it's ridiculous. I appealed and they denied it, why? Because an unpaid gamer on a power trip is the ambassador abusing the ban system for kicks in their pathetic little lives. 200k gamer score, all game saves, can't log in even on single-player offline, can't access anything for a review on a freaking video game?! This is surely anti-consumer at its worst.

If I could give this company a 0 stars I would. They gave my 10 yr old son a 8-day suspension and when I requested an appeal with a remark asking what he had done they denied the appeal and permanently banned with a very vague email stating he violated the CoC. I'm unable to review what was said because they deleted it from the message board. Honestly, though the games are expensive, the controllers and headphones are crap. I'm happy to not give another dollar. We must have gone through at least 10 controllers since we bought the console at $60 a pop.
They only have a 60-day warranty which the conveniently stop working right after the warranty expires everything from faulty headphone jack to buttons that stick or toggle sticks that drift. I've only been able to return one controller under warranty and what hassle that was. They have virtually nothing for customer service just a website that constantly shows a error message every time you try and contact them through it. I deeply regretted purchasing that stupid console since the day I bought it for him. Should just got a PC ugh.

I gave Microsoft Xbox a score of "fair". It does what it is supposed to do most of the game, which is allow us to play video games. My two primary complaints about Xbox are:
1. Ours lasted just under 5 years. That may be the expected life of this equipment, but we expected longer.
2. Why does it take SO long to "load" the games when you put the game disk into the Xbox? Often would take 1+ hours to download a game we had just purchased. Why buy the game on a disk if then it takes another hour just to get the game on to Xbox so you can play it. This model seems wrong and needs to be disrupted.

I recently got into PC gaming again. Now instead of buying a PC game on CD discs, you use a gaming platform. I recently purchased a game thru Microsoft. Now all MS games go thru XBox, even PC games. The game did not download. I called MS/Xbox to say that after 6 hours there was no progress in downloading and I wanted to cancel and get a refund. The customer service agent for MS said that she would get could not transfer me to Xbox customer service because they were busy. She gave me a reference number and told me to ask for a credit from my bank using that reference number, okay... So maybe this is how they do it now for these gaming platforms, great, so I did. Bank issued temporary credit. Next month bank reverses credit saying MS "fulfilled its obligation" and will charge me.
Called MS back, MS says to call Xbox, Xbox says it took too long, their return policy is only 14 days. Told them I called them that same day, gave them the reference number that I was given to give to the bank to show them I called that same day. Xbox kept denying the credit only saying it took too long. Never got an answer on whether they checked to see if the game was downloaded or if I ever played on the game on their platform which they should be able to check on to see my gaming activity on their platform very easily. Instead, we can't issue you a credit because it took too long sorry. Bottom Line, do not use MS/Xbox game platform for your "PC" gaming.

Asked Xbox support for a refund and was denied because they refunded me on Cyberpunk Which everyone received a refund on due to the game not working, they said I received too many refunds and sorry about my luck. I first initiated a refund on their website and was denied a refund because of their return policy. I already reached my limit on refunds which was only 2 prior refunds. I then disputed the denial email which got denied again so I call Microsoft and get told there is nothing they can do about it. I got to email the department because there is no phone number to talk to anyone in that department.
I asked to talk to a supervisor and get told, "No." I get hung up on multiple times and nothing got done so I finally am disputing the transaction through my credit card company which is gonna take 90 days which sucks but at least they aint stealing from me now but I dont understand how you can refund something you never got in the first place. Make sure you remove the membership from all profiles on your system. Two years ago I canceled the Xbox Gold Membership to only be charged the next year. They refused to refund me because I didn't get my credit card statement until after 14 days after they charged me. I had them remove everything on my profile for credit card info, but this year I was charged again! Turns out it saved my credit card info in my husband's profile too. Needless to say they refused to credit back my account again. Really upsetting that they had it in their notes that I attempted to shut it all down the year before and still chose to deny my refund. Constant reboots are annoying! I wish I had stayed with PlayStation for sure. All of the Kinect features are absolute trash and don’t work as intended. Don’t waste your money on the Kinect feature. I’ve had to replace the console three times also. The power supply has been replaced twice.
The entire console and accessories are garbage. Just hooking up a simple headset turns into days of troubleshooting why the mic doesn’t work. Yet my other headset worked just fine. Beware that Microsoft must automatically sign you up for a recurring billing without you even knowing about it and after they charge your credit card you can't do anything about it. This is why I am NEVER going to purchase a Microsoft product and am telling my family and friends to also not purchase their products. I guess this is why companies like Apple and Amazon are growing and Microsoft is a lame duck. They know how to treat their customers.
