I can see why the majority of the reviews are 1 star. Their customer service is appalling and they refuse to help in genuine cases where real customers need help. Such a shame that a corporation making that much money can't handle their customers and outsource them agents who can't and refuse to help. We make 3 purchases. One was on accident. They are refusing to refund that purchase. For what reason? To make an additional 6 bucks? Very disappointed in this company.

I recently bought nba2k26 and bought all the bells and whistles that comes with it. The game was 99.99 and the Vc was 99.99. Fast forward 2 weeks and I look at my bank account and it looks like they charged me twice for the game so I call my bank to report that maybe I’ve been charged twice. It looks like a duplicate. A week later my account gets suspended and I see the mistake which is my fault so I pay for the charge back and my account is still suspended even though I followed their policy and I’ve already been put to the side and hung up on when I say it’s gotta be a faster way to recover an account, it’s already been 2 business days and it’s Friday and I’m in danger of not being able to play the games I paid for till next Tuesday.

Call twice to speak to customer service. Both times they hanged up this happened after business hours. So maybe that's why they do it because all the bosses are not there. They should be fired barely could understand English, they like to talk over you. And did not resolve my situation very unprofessional. My taking is mostly due because it's after hours. I called around 9pm so they figured they could just hang up on customers because nobody is watching. They should monitor and record these calls after hours. So the big managers and bosses know what's going on at the job when they are home. I'm sure if they find out a lot of stuff, it will flip the head

The assistant that's supposed to help won't give you answers to the right question, and require you to pay 50$ upfront just for talking to them, it's straight robbery, same as PlayStation for having the ability to lock you out of your games you paid for and have a say when you defend yourself from cyber attacks by banning you instead of the aggressor. If I knew how to sue both companies properly I definitely would sue PlayStation.

I’ve been a loyal PlayStation user since 2013, and I’ve never once asked for a refund until now. I recently purchased Flight Sim 25, launched it for less than a minute, and immediately realized it wasn’t what I expected. Despite explaining the situation politely and providing all the details, I was denied a refund simply because the game had been “downloaded.” It’s ridiculous that a company I’ve supported for over a decade can’t make a single exception for a loyal customer who made a one-time mistake. Other platforms, like Steam or Xbox, at least offer a short playtime refund option — PlayStation should too. This experience honestly makes me reconsider continuing with PlayStation in the future. Customer loyalty should mean something, but right now, it feels like Sony doesn’t care at all.

I think Sony’s PlayStation Plus auto renew policy is absolutely unacceptable. They automatically charge your credit card for another full year without clearly asking for your consent, and they make it confusing to find or cancel the renewal option. I believe this kind of practice should be illegal and it feels completely unethical and borderline unconstitutional.
I contacted Sony about a refund and they refused to do anything. I even went through the Better Business Bureau just to get a response, and Sony still would not make it right. If this happens to you, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. If that does not work, contact your State Attorney General’s office. Do not let them keep charging people like this without clear permission. Consumers deserve transparency and fairness.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I guess I’ll accept giving 1 since the 9th rep finally was able to fix the issue that they caused in less than 5 minutes compared to the other reps who refused to assist. PlayStation’s customer service was honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had. It’s nearly impossible to reach someone who can actually help, and when you finally do, they’re often rude, unhelpful, and show zero understanding of your issue. The lack of availability, empathy, and accountability is shocking for such a big company. After seeing countless other people share the same frustrations, it’s clear this isn’t just bad luck, it’s a pattern. PlayStation seriously needs to fix how they treat their customers.

Getting suspended while the real toxicity player gets away with their bad behavior is beyond ridiculous. This isn’t the first time I’ve been messaged by someone saying awful things, I defended myself and then the next day I am banned? Make that make sense. This company is a joke and has no real resources to communicate with agents. I am selling my PS5 and will no longer give them my money.

Purchased a gift card for them through Amazon! They sent me a code that says it’s already been redeemed! AMAZON said they can’t do any refunds because it was a nonrefundable transaction! I was told that they would reach out to Sony and Sony would reach out to me! I was never contacted by Sony! So I reached out to them! They basically told me to go ** myself because there’s nothing they can do! So my son is out of $100 gift card! When I asked to speak to a manager, she refused to help me! So I asked to speak with her manager and she told me that won’t happen! She told me that she is the highest! When I told her, I know she has somebody higher than her she proceeded to hang up on me!

I reported someone who was harassing me, but I was the one that got a warning. When I contacted customer service to inquire why. They said it was because I defended myself but could not provide when or where I did. They then proceeded to gaslight me. If my account gets suspended for any reason after this ignorant redundant warning, I will make sure PlayStation and Sony does not get any business from the black community.

I have always been a Sony girl, owned every PlayStation and only owned an Xbox 360 that I barely played. I've always loved Sony's options of games, however I can no longer support a company who is so consistently horrid to their customers and has hands in unethical practices. Aside from how many times Sony has been hacked (it's probably more than Target or the American healthcare has been.), they consistently refuse to help their clients who have been hacked. Often shutting down people's consoles to where they can't even play. Honestly, why do we accept this? They make a system and release it while it's still buggy junk, using us as free testers. The controller's input functions when you don't even touch the controller (anyone NOT have stick drift?) Sony has gotten so bad that I don't even talk about video games anymore.
I stopped playing because I can't trust the company and the games are starting to suck. They make digital copies so they can remove your access and keep your money, effectively stealing from you. I will now only play old games on old systems. These companies have gotten away with nickel and diming and stealing and scamming from us that we seriously need to stop buying their crappy products. Because that's all it is high priced, cheaply made junk. My older comrades, how glitchy were our systems back in the day? How hard was it to obtain refunds or exchanges? It was not the battle it is now and now you don't even own your games after purchase. Why do games cost $50 or more when we no longer get physical discs and game booklets? We get an empty case with a sheet for a digital download. I love my games, I really do, but I will no longer be making purchases to a company that is morally and ethically bankrupt.

Switching to PlayStation from Xbox is the biggest mistake of my life. I got the PS5 and all this piece of crap does is overheat. Nobody told me I have to take this piece of shit apart every month to deep clean it. It's very difficult to take it apart having to deal with 20 screws and the locks that won't come undone. For a company that makes millions their product is awful. They put no effort into it. I'm switching back to Xbox and not looking back. PS don't waste your money on playstation. It's worse than an Indian scam. What a waste of 500$ I wish I could get back

These ** banned my 7 year old son who has Autism for listening to his music while he was playing Fortnite & Roblox. We called several times and was told it is what it is and they can't change it. My son has been devastated crying every single day. He lost nearly $5000 plus in games and skins, "which is in theory" a crime of theft. If I were to steal or deprived someone of $5000 I'd be facing a felony conviction. But not Playstation. Then I find out it was the same Playstation investigator who targeted my disabled 7 year old son because of his choice of music, his gametag name, and race. To permanently ban a 7 year old Autistic child is shocking and Playstation should be banned in the US. I am starting a online movement against Playstation and their targeted investigations on YouTube "**", and Facebook. Please follow this review for updates.

Horrible customer service!!! I felt rushed and that my concerns was of no value. Was pretty much told that there was nothing that they could do to help fix my issue because I was out of warranty (although there is a long documented history of the same issue HDMI port becoming lose) except pay and large amount to get it repaired with only a 90 day warranty for repairs. I think PS5 will be the last PlayStation console I purchase moving forward.

PS suspended my account because I got no response on why I was sold a cheaper version of the game for 2 times the price. I have two PS5. I bought 2 games because you can’t just buy 2k one time. I got the edition that gives you VC. My bank didn’t listen and disputed the first charge on my main PS, it’s my secondary PS for my kids that was the issue. After downloading the 2k game on their console they had no VC like the $69 version and I paid $139. Now my account is suspended for 3 days after spending over $1000 in just a few months.

My PlayStation account got hacked, credit card stolen and purchases of 900$ were done on the credit card. The hacker also changed my email address on the PS account. Now my account got suspended and they are asking for $90 payment for something I didn't purchase and they won't disclose what I'm paying for to get my account back. When I submitted a case the reply was, no fraud or scam shows on your account! Although I reported it directly on the day it happened. When I said I'm not paying for something a hacker did, they replied we can't refund you for a purchase made more than 14 days ago, I explained I'm not asking for refund I'm asking not to pay for something I didn't purchase, but no use. One agent ended chat because they couldn't handle my inquiries. No contact for head office or way to reach a supervisor.

Terrible customer service and customer service bots. The bots always ask me questions that I specifically said I don't have access to. And no one ever answers the number. Sony is a terrible company and playstation.

I have a charge through my PayPal account for Sony Interactive Entertainment $86.59. I called them to find out what it is for and to dispute the account and get a refund. They said without an ID or email I couldn't cancel it. I needed to dispute the charge with Paypal. I believe if you're going to charge my account for something you should be able to find it to tell me what it is and be able to cancel it without me having to dispute it through Paypal. Poor customer service.

What a horrible experience. Every single time I have to jump through way too many hoops and then they make me do it again and again as it is a broken process that seems to be made to drive me nuts. I set up a device password, which I didn't want to do. And I couldn't copy paste so I had to write it down and then type it out on ps3. Then it tells me I have to do it again!!!! What! I really am about to just chuck all my PlayStations into recycle world. And this has been a problem for me for over 10 years. Every single time I log in (sometimes it might be 6 months), I have to go through it all again and the process itself is broken. Must be made by Satan himself!

My younger sibling made a purchase on my account and I attempted to return it through my bank when I did not recognize the charges. But my account was suspended for the chargeback, and I’ve been trying to contact Playstation to try to unlock it without having to pay for a game I don’t want. They make it nearly impossible to reach them, there's no phone number or emails so you can message directly. You need to go through their stupid appeal system. I appealed my suspension, and they wrote back to me that I have to pay and purchase a 70 dollar voucher to recover my account. They gave me no further options to contact them regarding this, even the appeal section does not have the option to submit another appeal. I have hundreds of dollars spent on that Playstation account that’s all going to waste currently and it’s turned out to be incredibly disappointing how money hungry and unhelpful this company is. Refund policy is a bust. An accidental purchase happened on my PlayStation account, and I reached out to support right away. Instead of helping, they just kept saying “sorry, nothing we can do” and sent me to their refund policy over and over.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I called PlayStation customer service requesting a refund for a game that I was unable to play on my PlayStation five. I was refused a refund and when asked to speak to a customer service supervisor was hung up on. I called back on two separate occasions after that to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on another two times. Based on this, I have canceled my PlayStation membership and returned my PlayStation five console to the place that I purchased it from. I strongly suggest anyone purchasing a PlayStation five console to reconsider.

Horrible AI customer service and they made the PlayStation 5 white for no reason other than just to be doing something different and all they did was upset people. I guess the next PlayStation will be pink with flowers because that's what users who buy the PlayStation clearly wanted.🙄 Another ignorant corporate executive decision who doesn't have common sense.

If I could give PlayStation support a 0 I would. I received a $25 gift card with an activation receipt. 2 of the scratch off numbers were destroyed, so I called support. They said they’d escalate and asked for the receipt and pictures of the card. After 2 days they emailed that I needed to take the card back to the store. I called back and explained you can’t do that which is why you have an activation receipt. They again told me to send the information again only to tell me to go to the store it was purchased from. I called a 3rd time, asked for a supervisor, and they said we’ve done all we can. They refused to put a supervisor on and disconnected.
The connection was terrible, the service reps were hard to understand and were clearly reading scripts. Also the service rep I spoke with had someone else telling her what to say. I’ve received bad customer service before but nothing like this. One other time this happened with a gift card, with another company, and supervisor took the activation receipt and credited the money. Even finding customer service’s number with PlayStation is an obstacle. Reconsider doing any business with Sony, if it can be avoided.

The game descriptions are misleading. Bought a game description said some online services not available without a subscription. Turns out you can not even play the game without subscription. Their response is, "I'm sorry this is not the outcome you would like." Then they disconnect. Absolutely garbage.

Writing this about Sony’s Support in specific. They locked me out of my PlayStation account without warning, and it was connected to my old school email. Support rushed through the conversation with me and then hung up on me without helping me get back into my account. 👍

They seem to only hire people who can barely speak English and can’t understand it well either. I can not believe Sony I has such crappy customer service as much as people spend on their products. I had a ps5 for 3yr. I went through 6 controllers. These controllers are crap. They last 3 to 4 months. Then the controller want to do it on thing. Whatever I do. These controllers will not let me handle my characters correctly. Something needs to be done. I should’ve to keep buying controllers every 3 to 4 months.

I recently tried to get a refund for a game that was purchased less than 14 days ago. I followed and answered each question they asked me as nice as possible. I used to do live chat so I get it. But then I was told that I wasn't going to get a refund and that a higher up had to review. I was like okay, that fine. I asked for a reference number, the agent gave it and then ended the chat without me even saying I was done.
Second time they told me it was because I had too many hours on the game or that it was passed 14 days. Neither were true because my brother got a refund and he spent more hours than me. I asked how is this possible when I haven't reached either of those thresholds, they said they can't help and threatened to end the chat (which they did). Third time same issue, but was at least given a reference number but when I asked what the time frame was to be contacted back about the escalation, they said there wasn't one. It would just be reviewed whenever they got to it. Asked to be emailed this info, they said they would and didn't. Honestly, I have never tried getting a refund before and as a customer who has been spending money with PS for years this has been the most awful customer service experience ever.

I waited 45-55 minutes online in the queue to connect with a representative to receive help accessing my account that I haven’t used in years. Then, so that they can “verify” I’m me they ask the most dumb questions like “what’s the serial number of the first product you used when you made your account” and “what’s the transaction ID for your last purchase.” What if I don’t have the same console?? I just explained I haven’t used my account in years, you think I’m gonna have the last receipt I was emailed yearsss ago???
Still, I provided the serial number on my PS4 but apparently that was wrong so I provided another number on the console and that was wrong too. So THEN the rep says “sorry you failed the two ways to verify your account so I can’t help you. Please try again another day” and KICKS ME OUT of the chat. All that time wasted. It’s a freaking PlayStation account not the social security administration and they don’t even ask for that much. What a waste of time.
