We bought a 48" Magnavox TV. It worked for approximately one year, just went out of warranty and Phillips refused to refer or listen to my issues. The TV will not turn on; instead, the green power light goes out and a blinking red light appears. After reading over 500 consumer complaints with the same problem on virtually all of their Plasma TV products, this is a material failure that the company is aware of but refuses to correct the problem with a recall.

My family purchased a 42-inch model 42mf237E/32 flat Magnavox in 11-07 from Target store. The TV kept turning off and on by itself. So I took it back to Target. They gave me a new one; it also turned off and on by itself, so I called Magnavox and after they sent a repairman three or four times, they finally sent a different TV to me. As it turned out, it was reconditioned, not new and it only had a three month-warranty cutting time off my one year I got with the new one. Anyway, my daughter and I were watching TV and the screen cracked and it looked like the TV is melting inside. So, I unplugged it and called Magnavox and they said "too bad, so sad." Needless to say, I am less than satisfied after $950 to watch TV for 2 years. Something should be done and if it's a law action, I would gladly partake. Magnavox told me the screen could not break unless someone hit it, which is not the case. No one touched it and it broke.

32" tube-type Magnavox TV purchased by an elderly friend won't turn on after only 6 months of use. Purchased several years ago and it sits in the closet now in case he finds someone to fix it for free. Magnavox service tech affiliate won't work on it for warranty nor reasonable charge. He is out a bunch of money for this piece of junk and now needs to pay to recycle it. He can't afford to have it fixed.

We purchased a Magnavox 42 inch plasma TV from Home Depot in December of 2007. The picture started blacking out in August of 2008. By October, it would no longer show a picture at all. We had it repaired under the manufacturer's warranty. Eleven months later, we have the same problem and the only recommendation that we get from Magnavox is to replace the TV at our expense. The TV is less than 2 years old with a known common failure and should be recalled by Magnavox or at least the cost of repairs should be covered. These TV's are very expensive and in researching this issue, I have found that it is a very common problem with all Magnavox plasma TV's. I would like to see someone go after Magnavox and force a recall or payment for repairs.

I bought 42" Magnavox LCD in Feb. 2007. We have been having problems with the sound going away for a few months, off and back on and it resets itself. However, lately, the picture has been flashing to snow and sometimes snow/pink and then it flashes back to the picture. Also when the set is cold, you turn it on and it goes translucent pink. You can see the picture but it's shaded pink. Off and back on, and it's fixed. I bought it at Home Depot right after X'mas in 2007. I did not buy the extended warranty and I'm glad I didn't. From the looks of the complaints, I did the right thing but I'm out $1100 when it blows.

Our LCD TV is out of warranty but not very old and it is having the same issues as many others! First, the sound goes out and then the TV fails to respond to any commands from the remote or manual buttons. I have to actually unplug it for it to turn off. I have no recourse other than to buy a new TV. I am not going to spend over $300 for a repair on a crappy TV! The money I spent on the TV was wasted and now I need to spend more for a new one. If the company knew about the problem, they engaged in deceptive practices. If the stores knew that the TV's were defective but kept selling them, I think they should have some degree of culpability.

My husband purchased a Magnavox HDTV, model 19MD357B/37, around two years ago. Back in June, right when the TV signals went digital, the TV started making a pop sound then cutting out for a second, and then returned to normal. Now it makes all kinds of weird noises. At times the screen goes green and static and then cuts off. Sometimes there is sound and sometimes there is not. Sometimes it gets stuck on either with a picture and no sound or with a completely black screen. When it does that, the only thing you can do is unplug the TV and start over. In the past, once the TV warmed up, I could still watch the TV without issues. Now I can't watch it at all. When I checked before, the DVD player seemed to work better but now I'm afraid the DVD will get stuck in the TV so I don't know how the player is working.

I purchased a Magnavox LCD TV (mod # 37mf337b/37). After 142 days, when I would turn it on, the green light would come on, but no picture although sound worked. If I turn it off and turn it back on, usually it will come on sometimes. I have to do this multiple times. The TV was purchased 12/17/07. Customer service refused to give me any information because it was out of warranty. After a lot of research and some troubleshooting, I have determined that the power board is bad (i.e., the power board has a bad capacitor). The board itself I have found for sale from $130 to $265 without the cost of labor. I was very surprised the customer service would refuse to offer me any help at all or would not admit to the countless number of other customers who have had similar problems.

Two and a half years ago, I bought a 37-inch Magnavox LCD HDTV flat screen TV. The screen kept going black almost immediately after I purchased it and I thought it was a problem with the cable company. However, after several visits from the cable company, it turns out that it is a problem with the TV. The TV now does not work at all. The little green power light flashes when turned on. The light initially flashed for about fifteen minutes before the TV turned on, and gradually took longer and longer to turn on until the TV would no longer turn on at all. I have read many complaints about this same TV and believe that there should be a recall on this. Any news of a recall?

But I had to pay for the labor. In October 2008, the same thing happened. I was told by Magnavox that the parts only had a 90-day warranty. I again took the TV in for repair and the owner ran the parts under warranty, but I again had to pay for the labor. In August 2008, it has again gone black. While talking to Magnavox, they told me that there was nothing they could do for me since it was past the one-year warranty. I told them that the first 2 repairs were while the unit was under warranty and there is a defect that should be recalled. All they could tell me was, "sorry, we can't help you."

We purchased a Magnavox 42MF230A/37 a couple of years ago. The beginning of this year, we started getting a color band on top and we would turn the TV off for a couple of minutes and it would be okay for awhile. We noticed this more frequently, and then after a while, the screen went blank; we would have sound but no picture. We took it to a reputable repair shop, and they said that they are unable to get parts. I called Customer Service, and all they gave me was an address for me to send a written complaint but it is out of warranty (this was for their quality control). We have several TVs in our home (Some are 15 years old.), and we have never had to have them repaired. All I want is for Magnavox to step up to the plate and address all of the complaints that I am now seeing on the internet.

In March 2006, we purchased a Magnavox 50" DLP (model 50ML8105D/17) TV from Best Buy for $1,400.00. We did not purchase the extended warranty program as we also own another five Magnavox sets we have purchased throughout the years with no issues. Two weeks ago, we were watching the set and a loud humming noise began and then the picture went to black and white. We turned the set off and then back on after approximately five minutes. The sound and picture symptoms were the same. The next day, I called Best Buy for service and was told the soonest someone could possibly get here was three weeks or longer, and was asked if I wanted to schedule. I declined and called an independent service representative. He came to the house and looked at the set and advised it was the color wheel, which is a part of the light engine. However, the wheel was not available and that the best course of action should we wish to pursue repair was the purchase of the light engine complete.

The cost of this light engine is $1,388.00, almost the equivalent of the original price of the set. The light engine is not available through them and I was directed to a third party source. I have since called Magnavox three times with no remedy and was advised to write a letter to Magnavox Consumer Electronics in Marietta, GA. I asked the representative for a telephone number or named contact, to which he refused to offer that info saying it was not available to him. I will write the letter as a matter of documentation. I believe after reading "all" the complaints on various makes and models produced, Magnavox has done a great job of producing products with known defects which they appear to not support. One would certainly expect, as we all do that when monies are expended for a product that it would last for a period longer than three years or have the hopes of a reasonable repair expense. Surely, these issues of failure need to be addressed within the legal system, for as consumers we have been duped.

I bought a Magnavox 19" LCD TV with built-in DVD player (model 19MD357B) on 11/03/2007 at the local Sam's Club. Around July 1, 2009, the TV, when turned on after several hours of being off (overnight), started making clicking noises and it would do any number of the following: the sound would go off, a piercing whistling sound would come on, the set wouldn't turn off (the green LED power light would just blink).

Cycling the power by pulling out the plug, waiting a minute or so, replugging and turning it back on had to be repeated a few times until the TV came on and stayed on without malfunctioning. Calling Magnavox just elicited the response that the unit was out of warranty (3 months parts, 1 year labor). As an electronic engineer, it appears that there is a manufacturing defect due to a defective part (or parts) and/or improper assembly. Due to the number of similar

complaints, this conclusion is inevitable: Electronic devices do not die after 18 months unless they have a built-in problem. A class action suit should work out real well!

No one has record of it, where did it go and how can I get this fixed or replaced with a brand new one, not refurbished. Where is my extended warranty located? Did they sell it to someone in another country?

Their product will never be purchased and put in my home ever again and as I have read on the net, there are thousands of others in the same situation. They should take the time to read each and every one of the complaints and recall their products and give free TVs to all the customers. I bought a Magnavox 50" plasma screen in December 2006. In March 2009, it stopped coming on. I would get the same flashing red lights everyone else gets. I did some research and found out that there are two capacitors on the main board that go bad on these televisions. I took out the main board on my TV and confirmed the bad capacitors on it. I replaced them and reassembled the TV. The problem is solved. Do not let people tell you that the TV needs a new board, that is simply not true. The main boards in these TVs are made by Samsung and the mistake they made was putting two capacitors on the board that did not have a high enough volt rating. This is easily solved by replacing the capacitors. I have done this several times and would be willing to do it for anyone who has been ripped off by these TVs. You would need to be able to take the back of the TV off and remove the main board, which you could then mail to me. Shipping would not be much on the board and it will solve your problem.

In September of 2007, I purchased a brand new 37" LCD flat screen Magnavox TV from Wal-Mart. The problems began not long after I bought it. The screen would temporarily go black while the TV was on. This started becoming more and more frequent and the screen would stay off longer each time. Several weeks later, I tried to turn the TV on and the light blinked green several times and then nothing happened. I continued my attempts to turn it on and waited through the series of blinking lights before the TV would eventually turn on after the 3rd or 4th try.

This is when I called Magnavox for the first time. At this point, I was past my joke of a 90-day warranty on parts but still within the 12-month warranty on labor. I told the representative my problem and she had me unplug the TV, wait 30 seconds and then plug it back in. This worked while I was on the phone so I thought it was a fluke and was just glad to have a working TV again. This is where I kick myself for not insisting that I box it up and ship it back at that moment. The very next time I tried to turn the TV on, I was greeted by the familiar blinking lights and no picture. I tried unplugging and plugging it back in with no luck. While it was annoying, the TV did always turn on after a minute or two, and I lived with it. Over the next few months, it continued to worsen. The screen would still black out randomly and the delay got longer and longer.

I called back a second time. The representative informed me that there was no record of my first call and that unfortunately, I was now out of my parts and labor warranties, that there was nothing he could do to help me and that the closest repair shop he could recommend was one and a half hours away. My fiance called a repair shop located closer to our home and they told us it sounded like we had a bad power module. They also told us that sort of repair can run as much as $500 and that we never should have bought a flat screen TV in the first place. I decided to look online to see what I could find out about faulty power modules and saw that there were literally hundreds, if not thousands, of complaints similar to mine about Magnavox flat screens. This is where I kick myself for not doing this research before I bought this hunk of garbage.

I called back for a third time to try ask if they had considered a recall since so many people seemed to be experiencing the same problems with their TVs. I was told Magnavox only recalls items that pose a potential hazard to health. Apparently, while they do care that their TVs don't kill anyone, they do not care if you can actually use them for the purpose for which they were intended for. I was then told that the management could do nothing for me and furthermore they did not have the time to speak with me. I was given an address and told that I could send a formal complaint letter to their complaint department if I was dissatisfied.

Less than 20 months later, my TV does not even blink anymore when I hit the power button. It sits in the living room as a very expensive reminder that we are living in a time where quality workmanship and customer service no longer rank highly on many a corporation's list of priorities. As far as I can tell, the quality from a trusted brand tagline on their website is all that remains in terms of quality and trust. I for one can promise I will never buy another Phillips-Magnavox product so long as I live.

We did as the gov't requested - ordered 2 coupons for our DTV converter boxes, then purchased them from Wal-Mart in December 2008. In February, we were no longer able to continue satellite service due to loss of income. So we hooked up the boxes to our 2 TVs and were temporarily happy. After a month, the box on the main TV suddenly went blank, said no signal. No matter how many times we rescanned or adjusted the digital antenna we had bought, we could not get a signal. We brought the second box from the other TV and hooked it to the main TV, and for about a month, it worked. Then, it did the same and suddenly went blank.

After many calls to Magnavox, we were told we are past the 90 days, and as long as we had a green light on showing it was working, we would have to wait until June 12 because then, the signals would be stronger and we should be fine. If not, that means we have no TV until we purchase another box, I guess. A neighbor brought down his Magnavox (same model), and we hooked it up and have been using it for a week or so. But when we called Magnavox and explained this one works on the same TV with the same antenna and our two would not, we were again told as long as the green light was on, it was working, and it had to be we were not receiving strong enough signals, so they couldn't receive.

They couldn't explain why one works but the other two don't, even though they are the same make and model on the same TV using the same digital antenna. They finally agreed to send one back, but since it was over the 90-day warranty, we would possibly have to pay for any repairs to get the box back. Now, we have two useless Magnavox DTV Converters. And today, our neighbor’s Magnavox went blank too. Once again the government has stepped in and messed things up so we can't even get free TV. It would appear the only way anyone will be able to watch TV is to get cable or satellite dish! This is absolutely ridiculous!

Yet I search the internet and find numerous complaints about this issue. I am very disappointed in the service and the product and I will pass on my issue with as many people as I can. I purchased a brand new 32" LCD TV in January. It made a sound and the picture died in early April (not even 90 days old). Magnavox arranged to send a replacement. The first replacement never reached me due to shipping damage (poor packaging) and the second replacement was a refurbished unit that didn't work (it had the same issue - no screen and the LED just blinks and goes red). After 4 weeks waiting for this TV, I decided they need to refund my money. They said that this process takes another 4 to 6 weeks after they received the unit. I discovered that this is a major quality issue with their TVs - they've been busy shipping replacements. A refurbished unit and the wait to get my money are unacceptable.

They assume no responsibility, did not offer to replace even one, and just offered a parts warranty that would cost more in labor than what the DVD player cost. I am out hundreds of dollars this year and have one DVD player working (for now). This feels like a scam. They make a very poor product and offer a very poor warranty. I'm sure they're making a lot of money.

On October 3, 2006, I purchased a 42" Plasma TV from Home Depot in the amount of $1499 plus tax (no extended warranty). On May 5, 2009, I had it on while doing some excise and it just blacked out. There was sound but not an image. I thought it was a network problem. I tried other networks, and they were blacked out as well. I contacted Magnavox to report the problem. I spoke with a Deb. She could only help me with basic troubleshooting, plug, unplug, etc. Other than that, she could not be of much help because I could not provide her with my serial no. The T.V. was hanging on the wall. She told me to call back once I had it.

We removed the TV from the wall, got the information from the back of it, and I called Magnavox back. I spoke with a Mellissa. She said Deb had tried everything that there was to try and that I need to have it serviced. She told me to take it to Home Depot and have someone there to fax the information. By doing that, I could get service quicker. On May 6, 2009, I did just that. To date, 5.14.2009, no one has contacted me regarding service to my 42" Magnavox Plasma TV. I will set out today and find a TV service tech myself. Hopefully, I can get this resolved with little cost.

Consequently, I am outraged; I am out of a total of $1694.91. I also purchased a bracket to hang my TV. I was thinking I would be getting at least ten years of services from it. Furthermore, it upsets me because there will be holes in my wall if I remove the brackets that normally would not be there, not to mention this will be an additional expense if I need someone to come out to repair the holes and possibly paint the area or the whole side of the wall.

In conclusion, I am between jobs, so my funds are very limited. It appears, if I cannot get this TV repaired at a reasonable cost, I am stuck between a rock and a hard place, no TV and no refund on my purchase.

I told them about it and they said there's very little they can do since it was 2 1/2 years old. I told them that that may be true but you'd expect a $900 TV to last more than two and one half years. I called Magnavox and they told me there was absolutely nothing they could do about it because the TV was way over the warranty period. She said the fuse may be blown. A red light would turn on (bottom left corner) then shut off. Magnavox extended warranty papers came in the mail stating that if I paid $70.80 for a year's warranty, they could repair my tv. When my wife called to check on this, they stated I would have to not only pay that fee but also pay a charge for them to come out and for the parts. It could be around $200+ on top of the $70.80. That's more than what I paid for the entire tv when it was brand new.

A local tv repair shop quoted me around $150 to fix the problem, which is closer to what I paid for it. So, in other words, it's not worth fixing. I'm sorry to hear these things are happening on the much more expensive tv's now. Back in the 80's and 90's, this company believed in customer service. Now, it seems to be just about money. On the morning of June 12th, 2008, I turned the TV on and got no picture or sound, only a red blinking light for about 5 minutes and then the TV turned on. I unplugged it from the wall for about 10 minutes, plugged it back in and got the same response. I called Magnavox Customer Care and explained everything. We attempted some routine troubleshooting which I had already done.

Then she informed me that the TV was out of warranty. She suggested a repair shop, VTS in Houston, and said there was nothing else she could do. She gave me a reference # and the conversation ended. After taking the TV to the repair shop, they told me that the main circuit board had to be replaced which would cost $400. It's costing over half what I paid for the TV just to repair it. There's something that just doesn't add up with that. Since that time, I have read up on a lot of problems that other consumers who purchased the same or similar LCD TVs from Magnavox have experienced. Mostly all of these problems have occurred after the warranty expired and 2 years or less from purchase of the TVs.

I feel that there is some type of defect in these types of TVs that Philips is aware of. I called Philips again today to ask to speak with someone in the complaints dept. I was informed that there is no complaint dept where they are, but they gave me an address in Marietta, Georgia which after reading all the complaints on the internet, I know that I won't accomplish any good. I have since then, emailed my complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I am awaiting their reply. I think more people should complain to them, maybe something will get done.

I am very disappointed in Philips products with the slow service on their products. I will probably never again buy any Philips or Magnavox product in the future or recommend to anyone. The new capacitors cost me $4.24, including tax. An electronics repairman put them on for me for free. The entire repair cost me under $5.00. There is no doubt in my mind that Philips Magnavox (and Samsung, which makes the power supply board) knows the problem and how to fix it. They cant tell us how much it will cost or when they will be able to pick it up. We asked if they would call before pick up and the guy on the phone said they can't gaurantee that we would be notified before pick up. If we are not home they will leave a note with instructions of what to do next. How are we supposed to make sure we are home to let them in to get the tv.

I will never buy another magnavox tv again. They dont stand by their product. A tv should last a few yrs not 4 months. We shouldnt have to pay anything for repairs. I could see if it was a yr or more but not 4 months. I just called coustomer service again to make sure that the info about my claim was the same as when I initially filed it, and got the same story

The 1st one I bought the pic. tube went almost instantly, I was within the 30 days so I took it back and got a replacement now this one is doing the exact same thing. The screen is black from the top to about 5in down and from the 5in mark is a fuzzy line that extends 2 in down. Magnavox told me this was the pic. tube but will not replace it as the warranty has expired BUT for 66.00 I was told the 1st time then 88.00 I was told the second time to 92.40 I was told today they would replace it. I only paid 69.00 for it to begin with and why would I want the same model again when I've been thru 2 and a man on our local Craigslist was getting rid of the same TV for free because it had the same problem...

Obviously this is a defective model and I want a new TV. I have had nothing but run around and when I told them I do not own a credit card to put it on if I wanted to, I was then told to "borrow" one from somebody. Customer service is a joke. I have an email from them that says CS is open till 11pm, but today when I called at 6:30pm I got a recording that said they were closed. Also, the 1st phone # I found online for Magnavox that was on their website and I called it, it was a phone sex line, so now I'm going to have that on my phone bill.

All I want is a replacement of equal value but not the same model. Maybe they need to recall these since at least 3 of these TV's have all had the same problem, warranty or not, the whole lot must be defective. I googled the model # and tons of people complaining about this TV came up, so somethings not right.

I only used it as it was intended to be used. I wouldn't have paid $189 for this unit and I won't do it now. We purchased a 50 Magnavox Plasma television, Mod. #50MF231D/37 from Wal-Mart in June, 2006. About 16 mos. later, we started having trouble and would have perfect sound, but intermittent picture. Called Magnavox Customer Support & they said all we needed to do was a software upgrade and we did that and the problem appeared solved. Now, a new mos. ago, it is doing it again.

We paid $2,500.00 for the television, plus purchased wall mount hardware and DVD/surround sound. We did not purchase extended warranty. A television should last several years, and Magnavox said plasma televisions should last 40,000 to 60,000 hours. We don't even watch our television that much anyway.

Well, to say the least, we are very frustrated. I have complained to Magnavox and to Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart basically said we would be better off purchasing another television. Magnavox said it's probably a problem with the display board and since there aren't any service reps in our area, we would probably need to go to a Sears, Circuit City or Best Buy and have someone from there look at it.

My husband and I purchased a new Magnavox 51" Rear Projection TV model #51MP6200D/37 September 19, 2006 for $900.00.

Immediately after purchasing the TV, we experienced problems with the power turning off by itself while viewing the TV. This only happened twice within the warranty period and would correct itself within a few minutes.

The beginning of January, 2008 (15 months after purchasing the TV), it completely went out. The TV would not power up.

We contacted Magnavox to inquire about service. Unfortunately, Magnavox stated that since we were a big whopping 3 months out of warranty, they would do nothing for us except recommend a qualified service agency. No apologies for the TV going out after 15 months of buying it. No apologies for the unacceptable quality of their product.

We contacted Fulton electronics for repair. Fulton electronics picked up our TV on 1/17/08 and charged us $150.00 for the service charge and advised us that they would contact us the following week. To make a long story short, Fulton electronics never contacted us, did nothing to repair the TV, informed us that they could not obtain the parts and had the TV until 03/07/08 when WE had to go to Fulton and pick up our own TV.

We contacted Magnavox again and they referred us to Electra Sound (a preferred Magnavox repair vendor). Electra Sound arrived at our residence on April 2, 2008 to take a look at the TV. Stated that it needed a power panel, charged us $127.57 for the service call and informed us that the total cost of the bill would be $656.73. Electra Sound said that the part had to be ordered and would be here within 2 weeks. We were contacted on 4/24/08 and advised that the part was in and scheduled for service on 4/25/08. On 4/25/08, Electra Sound arrived, was here for 5 minutes and informed us that they ordered the wrong part and would order the right part and it would be about 2 weeks. Good news was this part was cheaper and would only cost $420.71. Electra Sound arrived on 5/9/08 with the new part and informed us AGAIN that they ordered the wrong part. The next panel had to be ordered, it would take about 2 weeks and the price should be even lower because they start with the highest part and if that doesn't work, they keep going down. Electra Sound arrived on 5/23/08 and the part didn't work. The warehouse shipped the wrong part. Somehow, even though the part was supposed to be cheaper, our estimate is now $475.14. Promised us it would be 2 weeks. We haven't heard from them. My husband contacted them on 6/11/08 inquiring on the status - they were rude and stated that they didn't know when or if they would ever fix our TV.

My husband then contacted Magnavox and informed them of this information. He spoke with 3 different people. Magnavox again stated that there was nothing they could do because we were out of Warranty. They could sell us a used (refurbished) TV for $1100.00. How thoughtful.

I have never owned a Magnavox before this and never will again. I have a huge TV that is positively useless sitting in my garage. Customer Service at Magnavox is non-existent. The attitude is "too bad" and yet they continued to try and sell us yet another useless TV after this one lasted less than 15 months.

I own Mitsubishi, JVC, Sharp, Zenith and Hitachi TV's. I have had the Zenith TV for over 20 years and have never had to have any of these repaired and they are still working fine. This "great deal" TV on sale for $899.99 has cost me over $1200.00 and more to come if I wanted to TRY another 15 months to get it repaired. At this point, it is time to buy a bottle of Black Velvet and have a ball bat bashing party in my drive way with it.

In 2007 I bought a Big Screen T.V. from Walmart for $1600.00 and exactly 100 days later the thing went out. I recieved no help what so ever on this problem. It is all documented with the store and if anyone wants to check it out (Which I really dought will happen) it would be easy enough to do so. At that time I itimized out how much money I spent at Walmart each year which came to about $6000.00. I told them then I would never set foot in their store and, so far, I haven't. I'm writting now to let Walmart know the first year has passed and (Walmart) has lost the first years worth of purchases from me totaling atleast $6000.00.

I will continue to remind them as the years go by. I inform everyone I meet of this situation and suggest they shop elsewhere and let them know I lived life before Walmart perfectly fine and I'm still living life fine without them. This is my only recourse and will continue with it until I can no longer report it. I am 51 years old now and ,at best, will have 30 years to do this which will be a $180,000.00 loss for Walmart so they could have the privledge of stealing $1600.00 from a man who averages $35,000.00 a year. I hope it was worth it for Walmart.

This situation caused a problem with my credit card (since I didn't want to pay for something I didn't recieve) and after paying them off I cancelled my card. I guess Walmart's business with my credit card was worth more than mine. I realize I am only one of millions of people who do business with Walmart and the loss of my business is very insignificent which is why I will be letting Walmart know each and every year of the situation I went through. When my Father was a child, Sears was a booming power in stores. When I was a teenager K-mart was a very large power in stores.

Today Walmart, although larger than both of these, is a larger power in stores. It appears that all stores have to realize that it's the people who make them and eventially it will be the people who will break them. One day a store will open which will have the peoples best interest in mind and they will dominate the market which Walmart now has. I will asleast have the privledge of knowing that in some small way by spreading my situation with everyone I meet I will have a small hand in this also along with the loss of my purchases over the years.

I bought a Magnavox 42 LCD TV two months ago.We had it just a couple of days when the picture started getting sparkly flecks. I called Magnavox and there is no service center in my area. They replaced it with a new set. This set lasted two weeks and the right speaker started making hissing, crackling noises. Called service center again and they replaced it again. This new set was bad from day one. The picture is grainy and fuzzy. I called the fourth time and am waiting to see what they plan to do. I am inclined to ask for my money back, but can't find the original receipt.

I purchased a LCD TV, model #32MF231D/37, serial #BZ3A0609170320 on 4/21/2006 and on 7/1/2006 the TV quit working. I contacted Magnavox customer service on 7/3, who directed me to a local service tech for repair. I contacted the service repair by phone at 239.566.2424 on 7/3. I then faxed the details of the problem to the service repairman. I followed up the fax message with a phone call. I have since called 4 times and visited his shop. With each visit I have to re-explain the situtuation. I have lost my patience and would like to return the TV for a full refund. I contacted Magnavox customer support, 1-800-705-2000 Robyn employee ID 42590, who said there wasnt anything he could do to help me return the TV.

The economic impact is that I am potentionally out 1271.99, the cost of the TV.

I bought a 42' plasma tv just 31 days after the plasma panel goes out. Here it is 5 months later and my tv is still not fixed. They have sent 2 plasma panels but still does not work. We have to wait 20 more days before our case goes back up for review.
