I was a happy DollarShaveClub customer for several years. Like them so much, I ordered them to be delivered monthly to my father too. Then a couple years ago they switched to the new style razors. Looked good, so I ordered the fancy handle with the copper trim and all was good for months until the handle broke and would not connect to the razors. Then some of the plastic connections on the blades would break after one use, then the replacement handle broke again and will not stay connected to the razors. Just poor quality and the customer service in the past few years is difficult to reach.
Currently I have been waiting 12 days to hear back from my email to them and unable to get a reply from FB messenger and Chat feature on their website. I tried to stop last shipment of blades but it came anyway because they did not acknowledge my email other than a bot reply stating it may take longer than stated 48 hrs to reply because they were busy. Very disappointing experience considering for years I was a huge fan of DSC.

The older style razors and handles were very easy to use. They lasted for quite a few shaves. The new razors stay sharp forever because it's almost impossible to get the handle attached to the razor. Who knows why they changed the design. But they're not worth anything. They also make it very difficult to cancel the subscription. So you're still paying for razors that can't even be used until the subscription is finally canceled.

Dollar Shave recently changed their website. You had activate your account back, prior to this I had changed my address, back to my residence, after working out of the area, I received one package to this address, I deleted the other address 3 times on Dollar Club site, but this address kept returning. Have made 2 e mails to Dollar Shave Club is 3 weeks, 0 response from anyone, only they are really could take weeks to respond? Been with Shave Club for over 5 years, at one time you could call and talk to a real person and issues were resolved in 5 mins now? Due to the lack of customer service I canceled my subscription, will shop elsewhere.

I purchased a razor with blades. Got it. No issues. Liked it. Ordered more blades. Never got them. Sent 5 emails, chatted 2 times and still nothing. No refund either. Very upset and frustrated. My fault for not reading the reviews, only good thing is got blades on Amazon. Would NOT recommend them. Hope this is helpful.

I was with DSC for years. Apparently they started with a new blade system and did not inform their customers! Just continued to send me blades for a razor handle that once broken, could not be replaced. When I tried to order a new one I didn't discover it wouldn't fit until after I paid for it and it arrived at my house. Horrible customer experience, why would you continue to produce and sell blades will be useless at some point.

I was a huge DSC fan. HUGE! Watched the Mike Rubin YouTube ad 4000 times. Hilarious. Awesome. It sold me. But then a giant woke company Unilever just had to screw it up. Old shave was best shave ever. Close. Comfortable. Safe. Loved the retro styled handle. You know. Like grandpa’s handle. The guy who had one blade. And polio. New handle feels like cheap Bic. Blade shoots and slides all over my face on its own. Have to go over same area 10 times and it still feels like I haven’t shaved at all. Feels like I’m going to cut myself any second. How badly can I actually review this horrible product? If this had been my first time I would’ve never subscribed. I would never had sold the many other users to it because they’re all canceling too. Looks like Jeremy has a bunch of new customers. So long Mike! Great ad. Great shave. Ruined by greed and stupidity!

I was a DSC member for years. Great price. Quality product. For some reason they chose to switch to a new blade system which is honestly the most infuriating product I’ve ever used. I never review anything but wow this compelled me. Without fail the blade pops off at least once every shave. Putting it back on is confusing and works differently every time. As a decades long razor user, I didn’t think attaching blades needed an instruction manual. Apparently these do. Absurd. Oh and the shave is awful once the blade is actually on. Stay away.

Dollar Shave Club used to have good customer service and quality. But about four months ago they forced a new shaver blade and razer on us. It’s terrible and cheap crap! It’s uncomfortable to shave and it doesn’t shave well. And I’ve tried for a whole week to contact them to cancel my membership, but nobody answers! This is a horrible company! Don’t do business with them. Buy Gillette which has excellent products!

I have been using DSC razors for a few years now. They worked well and I like receiving new blades every few months. I recently received their "new" blade line and it is absolutely horrible. I do not feel it does a great job at all. Bring back the old blades. Thankfully I still have a few of the old blades left and when those are gone, I will move on and find something new.

I used DSC for my razors for years. I’ve never used such a terrible razor since they changed them. These six blades do not even compare to the previous version. I now have to find new razors to use because I spend way too much time just trying to get the razor to simply do what it’s suppose to.

After years of satisfaction with the 4 blade razor, the company sent me their new version. I assumed it would be at least as good. But it just doesn't provide a close enough shave. Today, I actually shaved twice, but it still looks and feels bad. I'm done with the club.

Customer service is TERRIBLE. If I could do 0 stars I would. Somehow when ordering a second handle 7 got put in my cart. I would not have done this on purpose obviously. Yet they are refusing to take back the unopened in-used handles. What does one do with 6 extra handles??? I am reconsidering this membership.

Like the many others here, I was a happy Dollar Shave Club member for over 5 years. The executive blades were reasonably priced and gave a great shave. In 2023, for some reason, this handle and blades were retired, and a new "improved" handle and blades were introduced (which you can get at Walmart now). The new "improved" blades don't fit on your old handle, so you've got to get a new "improved" handle. Both the handle and the blades are terrible quality and don't give a good shave. I'm out.

I'll echo other reviews. I became a DSC member shortly after seeing their YouTube advertisement. Never had a single issue with the old Heritage razors. Yeah, the handle would wear out after a year or two but that to me was no big deal. Just get a new handle for cheap. Got a good, close shave for cheap and got it all shipped right to my door. The ONE time I had a shipment of blades go missing years ago, I was able to get on and chat with them and get a replacement shipment sent to me right away. I loved it.
Then comes this year. All of a sudden, I'm getting a 'new, better' handle. No choice, they're just stopping my old Heritage series and rolling this thing out. Okay, I'll give it a shot. And it's absolute garbage. I can't get a close shave with these new blades and they don't stay on the handle at all. They randomly pop off the handle multiple times during my shave and when I'm done, it doesn't feel like I've shaved at all. Okay...get on the website to talk to them...oh no, the old days of getting decent customer service are long gone. Can't get anybody on chat. I've e-mailed them multiple times and the only answer I've gotten, 'Thanks for contacting us! We are currently experiencing high contact volume, and therefore, reply times may vary up to a few days. Requests will be answered in the order received, so please only submit one service request per issue so we can get back to all Members ASAP. '
So after almost 10 years with these guys, I'm done with them and their more expensive, garbage product. I can get refills to fit my old Heritage handle (not to mention handles that will fit those refills) on Amazon for a LOT cheaper than I'm paying DSC. They lost a customer by involuntarily switching me to a new inferior product, charging me more and having worse customer service. Subscription canceled.

I have been a member of DSC for 5-6 years. During that time I have experienced great shaves with the Executive series blade (4 bladed). Without notifying me DSC has changed my order to the Club blades, an inferior product at a higher price. From smooth one pass shaving, I'm now making multiple passes, not smooth and enduring sore skin. Needless to say I don't want any more of these blades. I've tried to log in and cancel my account. Guess what, my login doesn't work, they don't answer my emails asking a cancellation of my account and there is a phone number that simply doesn't work. I've cancelled my auto payment, so hopefully I won't be getting any more of these blades. What was a great product is now no better than a Bic. Use it and toss it razor. So no customer service, discontinued product and an inferior substitute, plus an account that can't be cancelled. What a sad state of affairs.

In February I purchased several packs of cartridges. Shortly after my handle broke, no big deal. When I attempted to buy a new handle, they were no longer available. I attempted to contact customer service, which was a nightmare. They changed the design of the handle/blades and how they connect. They told me my only option to get a new handle that would fit would be to buy a large pack of blades that would come with a new handle from their clearance at $45..... Now buying Harry's blade system at Target at the same price. At least I know if there is any problems I can return them.... Was a customer of Dollar Shave Club since 2014.... NOT ANYMORE!!!

I have been a Dollar Shave Club member for years. I love the executive razor blade. I wish you would go back to that style. If you continue on making his new upgrade it razor I think I will have to cancel my subscription with you. I’m glad I’m not the only one on this site. That feels the same way. Please go back to the old style.

Our family have used the DSC razors for years and loved them. This "new and improved" product is horrible and we had to actually pay for it. Was just sent new razors that would not fit our handle and then ordered and paid for a new handle and the product with the worst ever. Tried to go online and cancel subscription and website has changed and will not let me log on. Terrible service and product. As soon as I can get into our account they are long gone. Sad after having a great product for years!!

I, like the many others was a member of DSC for 10 years. It was the only razor I would use. Recently they have decided to force a new razor on their customers that is dull, highly dangerous, and rather uncomfortable to hold. They then put a banner on the website saying it's under construction and you have to email so they and cancel your account. Please save your money and don't buy from them. They have a 1 star review rating with the BBB despite the A+ they claim. All reviews are awful as soon as the new products were released.

I received DSCs new razor. All I can say is they had their BUD LIGHT marketing moment. If they do not switch back, I am dropping them. I shaved with the razor and it looked like I needed another shave.

I, Like many others, was a loyal DSC customer for years. I was initially impressed by their hilarious ads featuring the company's founder, and I was further impressed when I actually used their product! Many years later I received their new razor instead of my usual shipment. I read the card that came with the new razor, and their claim that this new-and-improved razor was designed in response to 10 years of customer feedback. After using the new razor, however, it quickly became obvious that DSC was simply forcing an inferior product onto their customers in order to cut costs. But charging the same price for it. Terrible business decisions are nothing new these days. It seems like companies delight in alienating their customer base because they...hate making money suddenly? I don't know. But it's a shame and I hope the genius in charge of this decision gets fired.

I’ve been a long time DSC customer. I absolutely loved them and refused to buy anything else. They’ve deleted products and changed all the remaining products for the worse. Tonight was the line — their new top razor is WORTHLESS. I don’t think I could shave a peach with it.

Their new razor is horrible. Been a member since 2015 and loved the old razor. Did one order of the new razor and then cancelled membership. Don’t waste your money with the new razor. It would not shave my whiskers and the blade clogged up and would not clean out. Wish they never changed from the old blade and handle.

Long time member of DSC. I'd guess at least over a decade. Had tested out a couple others during that time, but they never held a candle to DSC. That is until DSC decided to roll out a new handle and blades. The only good thing was they made the handle free since they were forcing me to abandon the one I had for years. Unfortunately, the new blades are absolute trash. First time using them I almost thought I wasn't even going to be able to finish shaving. It was so bad. I had hopes that maybe it was because my stubble had gotten a little longer than normal. But no - subsequent shaves proved to be just as frustrating and just as poor. Lots of rough spots, maybe three times the amount of time just to get close to the same as the previous blades. And the new blades definitely don't last as long. At this point, all I can say is - find another solution for your shaving needs.

Used DSC for years. Suddenly changed handles and blades. Complete and utter junk. Customer service used to be responsive but not anymore. Emails, phone calls all go unanswered probably because they are being overwhelmed with complaints. I just don't get it. My subscription will be cancelled - but they probably won't care!

My husband, two teenage sons and myself have used Dollar Shave Club for years and absolutely loved it. They just sent us the new “upgraded” razors and they are complete junk. I felt like I was using a dollar store disposable, I even cut myself which I haven’t done since switching to Dollar Shave Club. Sad but I’m glad to see I’m not the only one. Harry’s?

They used to be great. Not so much anymore. If you need to contact them, good luck. They don't respond to emails and their phone number (not on their website, have to google it) is always busy. I had a problem with two handles they sent me in early March (they won't fit the blades they sent me and yes I did order the correct handle) and after 6 attempts, I gave up and contested the charges on my credit card. I have now cancelled my membership of 6 years and will be going to Jeremy's. It is sad because I really liked their product. After seeing other reviews about their new replacement razors, it is probably good I had this problem. I don't understand why they make it so hard to contact them. When you click on "Contact Us" it takes you to the FAQ page. After digging through the topics you finally come to an email address but no phone number.

Just like the other reviews. I was a long time member. Then I received their new "upgraded razor." Total junk. Cheap, flimsy...pathetic. Worst part is this, they tried to say they responded to our suggestions for a better product???? What an insult. I can't find any Google review section for DSC either. Why and How are they hiding that option? I already canceled my membership and now I'm trying the Harry's brand.

My family has been with Dollar Shave Club since day 1 and have been more than happy with the price, quality, and results of the company and products. But recently the company must have decided their customers don't matter because they went from an amazing razor to some cheap garbage. The new razors will leave you with a crap shave and nothing but razor burn. I am not sure if this was some marketing ploy turned out by some new "wet behind the ears" CEO to push customers to but more of their shave cream and lotion but if it is they need to put him back on the curb next to the trash along with these new blades before all their customers easily slide over to the competition. Keep in mind, Dollar Shave Club may have been one of the OG shave subscriptions but now there are tons to choose from.

The new blades are total garbage. Do not use their services. They look and feel cheap. I have 4 of the old executive handles and they replace them with a new one and that's fine but it totally sucks. Feels like a disposable blade. Just try a different company.

Well, I received my free plastic razor handle and some crappy dollar store razors. I've been with the company since they started and love the executive blades and all the the other products they provide. Now I'm stuck with these 4 crabby blades and a plastic handle. They fall off and don't shave the hair. I think they could've gave them the option. They lost me as a customer.. Horrible!

The new razors they literally forced upon their consumer base are low quality unusable garbage. Utter trash. The new handle is impossible to use. Not to shave, mind you, it’s impossible to get the blade on in the first place. I broke 3 of my 4 for the month before successfully connecting it. They stopped delivering the product I paid for and starting delivering utter rubbish, without my consent or even telling me. It’s like they substituted an iPhone for a knockoff bootlegged from some back alley somewhere, charging the same price and hoping no one would notice. I notice. We all notice. I hope they collapse into a pile of ignominy and Unilever has to shutter their billion-dollar baby at a total loss.

Dsc has clearly sold out. They went from the best razor I have ever held in my hand “the executive” to the worst razor I have ever held in my hand. I have used no other razor in the 5 years I have been with dsc than the executive. I have tried many of their products and have loved every one of them. As soon as I held this new handle it felt way too light and way too plastic. I feel like less of a man just holding this razor. I tried it anyway and it was horrible. I have had better shaves with disposable razors. Which is exactly what this new design is. A disposable razor. In the trash it goes. Goodbye dsc. On the search for a new razor.

I've been using DSC since 2015. I've loved my Heritage Series Executive razors, and the weighty handle. The razors were sturdy, reliable, and durable. I dropped my razor in the shower dozens of times, and the handle + blade would snap apart but could easily be snapped back together. My first box of the new Club Series shipped in January. I was excited to receive a "free handle!" I am beyond disappointed in these razors. The handle and blade snap together in a loose connection that never feels quite right. The razor wiggles around and feels cheap. The handle + blades feel light like any budget razor. I could feel the blades tugging on my skin from the first use. Honestly, Bic is a better option at this point. I hate that DSC chose this and sacrificed their quality. I'm frustrated I'll have to begin a search for a new razor.

I'd been happily using DSC for years with an occasional hiccup but I was always able to get it resolved. When they said they were switching to new handles I was okay with it since they were giving them for free. Fine. But I've used the new handle a few times now and I hate it. The handle is quite a bit heavier than the previous one and the razor heads are cheap junk. The first time I used it, I swished it around in water to clean off some hair and it fell right off. And they're so much thinner than the previous blades it was hard to get it back on and I was very worried about cutting myself in the process. I'm going to try Billie razors and hopefully they'll be better. The fact that 'I don't like the Club razors' is an option when canceling tells me a lot of people don't like it either

I have been with DSC for a while. When they were bought out several years ago their quality service/products went downhill. I ordered blades on 11/28/22. Still have not arrived. No way to contact them. The “contact us” is just a loop. Phone number is a voice notice. Everything being written about DSC says “BUYER BEWARE.” Sad, once a solid company, now a has been!

I bought the gift set for my fiancé for Christmas. He couldn’t even shave his face because the blades kept falling out. It came with two heads and on both of them the razors came out. They’re made so poorly. I wasted my money.

I have been with DSC for years. Lately extra items are being place in my box that I have not order. I order one box of wipes and next thing is 6 extra wipes on my order. Only ordered one I'm sure and I live alone and nobody got access to my phone so what's going on? I was charged $44.00 instead of $18.00. This happened to me twice.

Box arrived half crushed. Shipping company put it in a trash bag. It was leaking so bad. Can’t get anyone to respond to email and no one available on chat. Has definitely gotten worse the last few years.

I had a gift card for DSC so I placed an introductory order. The shaving experience was extremely poor and I ended up with many cuts on my head. Use Gillette blades instead for a safer experience. TY.

I have been with Dollar Shave Club for many years. I always enjoyed the products and they always had great customer service. They always answered my problems. If I had any I heard they were bought out by another company. When that happened they drastically gone downhill I’m having issues with my account. They have never answered one of my emails, there is no way of getting a hold of anybody. The help page is basically worthless. Maybe they’re trying to get out of the mail order and just selling it in stores. I’m not sure. For about a month they say they’ve been having website difficulties. I have heard that the website is up and running. They’ll be more than happy to take your credit card and possibly send supplies but I’ve been having issues and there’s no one to talk to and they absolutely will not answer their emails. If they don’t get their crap together they’re done.

I was buying their blades for a few years and as long as my monthly shipment showed up (which it usually did), everything was fine. Both times that my blades didn't show up, which was spread out about maybe a year apart, it was hell getting them to send me replacement blades. After the second time when I finally got the replacements, is when I stopped subscribing. The blades weren't anything special and definitely not worth the stress and aggravation of having to deal with them if a monthly shipment didn't show up. I would rather just go to the store and buy them, or find a rough equivalent on Amazon for zero hassle.

I've been a member almost since the beginning. For the past year I started noticing things were off, blades were falling off the handle and dull blades. I just got a notice about a charge for an order that I wasn't notified was coming! I've always gotten a notice in case I wanted to change something. I also just noticed the price has gone up several dollars this year... Since winter is coming I adjust how often I get blades so I went to the website to find no website... then I found all these complaints with dull blades and blades falling off while shaving! I thought it was just me! I think I'm going to check out Harry's... Really disappointed with the direction of Dollar Shave this past year and the price increase for lower quality... Shame shame shame Dollar Shave...
I can get blades at the drug store that will give me the same razor burn your blades do now. I have always had rave reviews for Dollar Shave... Now I've found you've sold out and the new management is cutting quality and raising costs... If your website isn't up soon for me to cancel my subscription I'll notify my credit card company to no longer accept charges from you. I'm so disappointed, I would have used you for life if you hadn't gotten cheap on the quality. Greed ruins everything...

Unfortunately, I ordered a "first timer" package from DSC. I ordered just enough to get free shipping. At checkout, they tagged me with a $.90 "handsome discount" which was just enough for me to have to pay for shipping. I looked for a customer service phone number. The only number I found (after having to Google to find one) was for an answering machine with no customer service agents to help. The only way to get in touch with DSC is via text or email, neither of which I got an answer to. My credit card was charged, so I had to dispute that. Then after waiting 11 days for my package to arrive, I found out it was never sent according to USPS.

Terrible. Took 6 days to get my package. When I got it, order was wrong. I looked up the customer service number to call. Turns out you can't speak to someone... Even though they put on their site that customer service is open until 6pm today. I read other reviews and their all bad. This is s DOG** company. 1st and last time I'll order from them.

I'm a returning customer of Dollar Shave Club. My first purchase was back in 2015. Back then, their blades were made with quality material and they were durable! However, I got my box and noticed they have new shaver blades and handles. Both are completely changed. Let me start with the blades. After a few shaves, I was gently holding the handlebar and tapped it a couple of times into the sink, and then the upper soft soapy material popped out! ( Wow!) This never happened with the 2015 versions.
So now the handlebar. It doesn't feel as good as the older version. It feels like it's made out of plastic. The older ones were made with metal or heavier material. So my overall experience with the new version of the razors and handlebars is that I am very disappointed and I will not order the blades or the handlebars. FYI, the Shave Buttercream and the other creams they have it's pretty good though. That's the only thing I like about them now. Just their shaving creams.

Decided to try Dollar Shave Club to save a few bucks... Regretted the $ the moment I opened the box and tried the razor. The Blades kept popping off, after the third blade falling off and nothing fully shaved I was fed up. It's crazy how poorly the handles are. Never will I purchase from them again.

I was a loyal DSC member for over five years but I recently canceled my subscription. I had the same handle for years but in the course of the past two years I’ve had four handles break on me mid shave. I’m not sure what changed but both the razors and the handle have been declining in quality.

I shave my head, and face. Figured I would try Dollar Shave Club, saw the 6 blade razor. When I received the product, the razors were dull out of the package. Big disappointment, terrible product. I was hoping that a 6 blade razor would be really good but it was not.

I have been a member since 2017 & I received razors once a month since that time. Over these years I have had to adjust the frequency of the shipments (I currently have about 6 months supply) and in the early years it was easy via the website. The last several times I have had to chat with a representative in order to do that because there is no clear way to do it online. I checked the FAQs and found the instructions with links but the links never open. I believe that this is by design... The products are great but the frustration of dealing with simple changes makes it not worth the effort...

I have been a member of DSC since 2015. Recently, they redesigned the razor & handle. One suspects the new designed saved $.01 per cartridge. The result is a razor that is difficult to get on the handle, but comes off easily during your shave. Now, shaving is an ordeal of having the cartridge detach every other stroke, followed by several attempts to reattach it to the handle. I have had enough. I have cancelled future orders and will find a new supplier. It's a shame their basic product became such a failure, as I enjoyed several of their other products.

I was a 3 year member, my handle broke, no customer service to contact and the robot chatter was no help. I have a stock pile of blades so I ordered a new handle, and they sent the wrong handle, knowing what type of blades I have. Took a chance and ordered another handle, same thing another wrong handle. Canceled my subscription and I’m stuck with all of these blades! Their site boasts member of the BBB, and I can’t believe the BBB would endorse this company. No customer service and they don’t care about the service they give. Seems more like a basement or garage-based outfit. It’s not worth it!

I ordered blades from DSC. When they showed up I noticed they didn't fit my handle. I sent an email to them and they told me that they don't take returns and I would need to order a new handle. Seems like a scam since they can see what blades I use.

This company won’t let you cancel your membership. Not only do their razors suck. They hold you hostage. I couldn’t cancel so I took my billing info off the website and they are still consistently billing me every month. I had to cancel my debit card! RIDICULOUS!

If you’re looking for a close shave don’t do Dollar shave club. The razors do not get close enough to the skin and you will cut yourself if you’re not careful. The Shea butter was horrible as well. I’ve never had an experience like this before when I have shave with Gillette in the process I go through when I want to clean cut. I wouldn’t waste your money on this experience as there’s better products out there for an affordable cost if you do your due diligence. Tell your friends cancel dollar shave club!

I have been using DSC for years. During that time my wife and I stockpiled many extra blades, so we stopped ordering them until about 3 weeks ago. We ordered 4 of their 6-blade razors and they came with a new handle, NOT like our other handles (The executive ones). The whole package is TRASH. The blades consistently fall off of the new handles and the “new” blades have torn my face up even when they are brand new. (Just happened tonight, I look like Freddy Krueger shaved my face!)
I have looked for their “original” executive blades and they do not sell them anymore!! I have found them on Amazon for around $1/blade (24 blades for almost $28.00). However, while I was on DSC’s website I saw their commitment page. I am sorry, I will NEVER support ANY company that supports a terrorist organization like BLM, and I am a POC (Native American) and MOST IMPORTANTLY a Veteran. BLM has destroyed many of our cities under the guise of “peaceful protest” while they burn and loot anything they can. So, DSC I am through with you and your substandard product and screwed up morals/values.

The razors are ok but easily dulled. Biggest problem is that it is impossible to cancel your account. I have tried to cancel my account for months now and all it does is buffer and does not let me actually cancel it. I cannot get a hold of anyone to help. I strongly recommend you avoid this company and product.

Have been a customer for years but my password no longer works. I wanted to delay next auto-delivery but now want to cancel out of DSC completely. Tried over several days to get a passcode emailed to me but no response. Phone calls didn't work either. Nobody to talk to and auto disconnect on one of the options. Something about closing the office early and also something about being closed by government order. I had to call credit card company to get all future charges blocked (for the next 18 months at least - not really sure because of my failing ears and a non-English-first-language speaking person). Goodbye to Dollar Shave Club!

I have tons of the blades, but lost my handle. I order a new handle on their site which said 4x. It makes it seem as if you are ordering 4 replacement handles. But they only shipped 1. Very, very deceptive. I know that I am not the only one that has been tricked by this deception. Plus it was 15$. I assumed for that, that I would be getting 4, NOT 1!!! Crooks.

I had not used DSC for about 8 years. I placed an order and was excited to get the smooth shave. Wrong. I don’t have particularly rough beard. So when I tried my new blades I was sadly disappointed. After 3 day growth, I had to use 2 new blades to do the job. Absolutely terrible!!!

I’ve been a DSC member for many years. Noticed a negative change soon after Unilever took control. They changed the physical design of the blade unit structure for the obvious purpose of production economy. This change also precipitated a change in the handle and not in a good way. The trimmer blade is now useless. Any reasonable applied pressure while attempting to trim sideburns causes the blade unit to detach from the handle. The new handle is very flimsy, another victim of production economy. I’m going to try Harry’s blades, now, and hope for a better experience. So far, it would appear that Unilever hasn’t screwed up the non-blade products (e.g. Shave butter, etc.) but the jury is still out on that. Leave it up to a major corporate entity to wreck a formerly excellent product. Bye bye Unilever.

Title says it all. It's not that cheap if every blade only gets 2 uses. I get 10-15 shaves out of CVS brand Gillette knockoffs, which are about $15 for a box of 4. So I get about 50 shaves for $15 from CVS or 8 shaves for $8 from Dollar Shave Club. Avoid.

I got billed by DSC for $22 for something I have never received. I went to my Account and had to do a search of FAQ's to find the "Membership settings" tab. I selected "Cancel Membership" and the link wouldn't work. I then tried to contact them but there was no way to do it, I was just going around and around. I did a Google search and got a phone number. That was a recording that told me no one was going to answer and to email 'Support@dollarshaveclub.com'. I got an automated reply with the FAQ's again. How on earth do you contact this company? How do I stop them billing me?

The only time I have ever had a worse shave was when I forgot my razor and had to use a disposable from a hotel. Don't waste your money!!!

Trying to contact them is terrible. I need a refund or my box resent to my new address and you simply can't get ahold of them. They have "we will refund you if you aren't happy" all over their website. They emailed me a response that says "so we can't respond here are articles." That take me to where to email them. It's just a never ending circle. It's sad because I love their products and been a customer of theirs for years.

If you have a problem with them you will not get help. You are totally at their mercy. All computer generated answers, and helpfully or not that's your answer. So if you have a problem you're basically screwed.

I signed up for a monthly subscription with DSC, and they shipped me my first shipment. I was pleased with the product, but the second shipment never came. Over a month later, I checked on the status of that second shipment, and it still showed as "shipped" but there was no way of tracking it. I tried to contact them, but the "contact us" button just puts me in an infinite loop of redirecting me back to their FAQ (which was not solving my problem). With no way to contact them or ask for a refund for a product I never received, my only recourse was to cancel my subscription and consider it a loss. I know this is an actual business, but they are operating in a way that effectively creates a scam operation if they make it impossible for a customer to even contact them with problems.

I will never purchase anything from DSC again. Recently I ordered a pack of razors and it never arrived to my house, because I input the wrong address by accident. I've emailed them 4 times in the past 2 weeks. Their website says they typically reply to emails within a day, and they did. They would respond rather quickly when Id reach out to them and they would try convincing me to get the razors reshipped. But every time I told them that I no longer need the razors and that a refund would be much appreciated, They would stop emailing me back. They responded quickly when I'd reach out to them, but every time I bring up that I want a refund instead of having the razors reshipped, they just stop responding. Every time. It's been a week since they last responded to me even though their website says they respond within a day.
Dollar Shave Club is ridiculous to me in how much they want your money. They make it impossible to cancel your subscription and now they are ignoring me?? They just KEPT MY MONEY. I can't believe I purchased something online and didn't receive the product or the refund. This is completely wrong to me being that I seriously need the money right now!! I definitely consider this theft. Never will I trust this company again.

Dollar Shave Club products are great! I had set my husband stuff up for auto-renew. I get him 2 4pks of razors and shave butter. The shave butter lasts a while, so I set it to snooze until I unsnooze it, but DSC adds it to my order every shipment (and charges me for it) anyway. So I snoozed it again. Well, my husband has enough razors left that we don't need this next shipment, so I canceled this months shipment LAST MONTH. All of a sudden, I get an email today saying his shipment is about to go out, 2 4pks of razors and the shave butter. I had to cancel this months shipment a second time. I also took us of auto-renew. While we highly recommend their products, I do not recommend putting it on auto-renew because if you snooze any items or cancel a shipment well in advance (which they allow you to do), they'll just send it to you and charge you for it anyway.

My daughter gave me the razor products. The handles/ejection of blades quickly lose effectiveness. At first I thought it was just me but after the same experience 3-4 times I now know it is the product. I am not a heavy shaving person (3-4 times weekly) so the handles get little awry. In trying to buy a handle only (without getting my daughter involved) I found they REQUIRE you to set up an account (ok, I get that). Then as you manipulate your way thru the account, set up at the very last disclaimer they add the, "will be billing you for being regularly." This company is not consumer friendly bordering on 'scam'. I would recommend you avoid.

They refused so I found out this company was sold to Unilever, so I contacted the CEO Fabian Garcia ---- fabian.garcia@unilever.com...this idiot does not have people contact me but text me. I have canceled my membership and found other shaving companies on Amazon to be cheaper in price and equal if not a better in quality. "[O]ur warehouse is currently experiencing some delays." This is the type of ridiculous response I received multiple times after waiting **12 WEEKS** for a replacement handle! I am not exaggerating. The order confirmation email was dated June 5th. The only reason I have even continued using these razors is that my father-in-law gave me dozens of the blades (which he received as a gift but didn't want). Blades are expensive, so I hate to leave the stack unused. But even with *free blades*, I'm starting to question whether this is worth the hassle. In my experience, the quality of even the most expensive razor handles ("Executive Handle") is poor. Since my handle broke over 12 weeks ago, I've corresponded with multiple customer service agents who made vague and implausible excuses as to why a shaving business whose entire model is predicated on shipping could not timely replace my shaving razor handle.
Over time, the correspondence has gotten more absurd, to the point of being insulting and disingenuous. In the most recent exchange this afternoon, the agent claimed that the belated box--whose promised arrival was days ago--could not be expedited because, coincidentally, it had just shipped this morning. Surprise! Get real. What a lousy company. Save yourself the trouble and try anything else. I'd rather shave my face with a dull butter knife than deal with these people.

I have been using Dollar Shave Club for eight years. For many years I was extremely pleased. They fulfilled their promise of a High Quality blade at a very reasonable price. I told everyone I knew about DSC. Lately the blades have become garbage. It's like shaving with sandpaper. They are cutting corners along with my face. I don't know what happened to Good quality blades at a reasonable price. I would rather go back to the expensive name brand SHARP blades. When I complained, they just sent me a "Gift" rather than addressing the problem of what feels to me as used blades. One of my great joys has turned into a bitter disappointment. Shame on you DSC!

So have used a ton of razors over the years for body, face, etc. I got tired of paying store pricing for the name brand ones and tried Dollar Shave Club because it sounded great and good way to save cash. Unfortunately you get what you pay for unfortunately. We recently stopped their subscription because it just isn’t worth it. The quality is good for only a couple of shaves and then drops off dramatically. We are swapping blade heads out ALL THE TIME so there is no value, just hassle. I would love to have a blade available that is less than store brand and also good value. Dollar Shave Club tried to do this but apparently you get what you pay for because they don’t last and the shave quality is poor after just a few uses. Not impressed.

I have been ordering from DSC for years but have become increasingly unhappy with their service. My last two orders have been significantly delayed. My current order, which was processed May 26th, still hasn't arrived over a month later. When I try to reach someone they are never available and send you to a bot which never answers the questions. I have sent emails to the service department only to have them returned as undeliverable. If you go to their site to send an email they never respond. I have had enough and would like my money back but I cannot get in touch with anyone to have this completed. Enough is enough.

Used Dollar Shave Club for about 18 months. Started great. A pretty good set of 5-blade cartridges every month for $9.99. Not a bad deal. I also bought other products like soap, lotions etc. Unfortunately, like most good things, it got ruined by corporate greed. DSC was bought out and went downhill. I started getting defective blades almost every month. Then, even worse, they decided to use the cheapest shipping method available, DHL. After which my dependable razor order became not so dependable. After two months of missed deliveries, I cancelled my subscription. I no longer saw the point. The razors are not the best, they're not the cheapest, and now it's a crapshoot whether or not you'll get your delivery.

In the process of possibly signing up to a monthly shave club, in the research phase, & in full disclosure/honesty not yet a member or associated in anyway with any company offer any kind of shaving services or products..However, did read most the recent review on the site regarding DSC, how new member hasn't received any product 3 months, as well as insinuating not being able to reach their CS in 3 months.So, I quickly felt need to check their info & provide a honest no-bias respond..Yes, getting a live voice when calling is very difficult, but when calling they clearly state/list their CS email as, service@dollarshaveclub.com, not support@dollarshavrclube.com. Also,a simple Google search will also info anyone who is currently a member to another CS email, "members@dollarshaveclub.com", which I would guess is also provided & confirmed in emails when signing up..
Again, not in any associated with the company, a member, or in the industry at all, I just hate seeing false claims being made against anyone or any company, esp when so blatant/bias & during such trying times...As A Country, Aren't We All Better Than This!!!! Signed up for a trial for $15 and before I even realize it, an unauthorized second charge of $47.38 is charged to my credit card for a re-stock order. So naturally I do a little digging to try and figure out why this happened... Turns out, under the Account section of their website, the "Your ship date" refers to the NEXT recurring shipment which makes no sense and is very CONfusing.
I had changed the ship date from mid-June 2020 to May 14, 2020 thinking the trial that I ordered was originally set to arrive in OVER a month. So I changed my ship date to the next available date (2 days after my trial order) and set my subscription box frequency to monthly, in case I enjoyed the product and wanted to continue using it.
My next step was to contact their customer service department via email on May 13th, 2020 before the subsequent restock shipment was fulfilled. But they (CSR) was unable or unwilling to assist with cancelling the second shipment, and was generally unhelpful. To top it off Dollar Shave Club (DSC) had no phone number to contact a call center, no active social media agent (Twitter or Facebook) and no live chat - NOTHING! Thoroughly disappointed by this company's misleading website, deceptive marketing and unhelpful customer service center. A VERY POOR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE OVERALL! Will be boycotting DSC and its parent company Unilever too.

No one answers their customer support phone number of 310-975-8528. No one has ever returned my phone calls after leaving a message. I've had Dollar Shave Club for about 3 months. I've start out by saying I give it two stars because the blades are actually excellent. My problem is with a handle. The blades become stuck after about a month an extremely difficult to remove. After 3 months of use the blades are impossible to remove. After this I'm stuck with a bunch of blades and no blade handle. I've had several different blade handles over the last 20 years. I've never had this happen with any brand, Shick, Gillet, Harry's.

When I ordered my FIRST box I ordered multiple items, and didn't receive the free executive handle which comes in the first box, I have been unable to get a hold of customer service, their hours are from 11 am to 1 pm Monday through Friday, if you email customer service all you get is a useless uninformative automated email.

I have been using DSC products for a few years until today when they sent, in my opinion, a very inappropriate email today titled, The Smell of Sex, Deconstructed. It was disgusting. I feel this is a totally inappropriate email and I cancelled my membership. Hope I am not the only one offended and others respond as well. They obviously do not know their audience. Families with kids could get their hands on an email like this. I can purchase razors anywhere and choose to do so. I find it interesting that their older reviews related to products on this site were basically good, but the 2020 reviews are not. Maybe something has changed within the company??

I was a member for years and loved my razors. I recently discovered items in my cart I did not put there nor wanted. I removed them from my cart. All I wanted was the usual razors I order. Several days later I find ive been charged $5 for a starter kit and another $39 for a bunch of male products. I message Dollar Shave Club. They get back to me the next day and ask me if I read the email where they explain they'll also add the full size versions of the starter kit to your order. I received no such email. But besides that point, I had removed everything but 2 packs of razor blades from my cart. I explained this. No response. This new practice of theirs of putting stuff in your cart and forcing you to remove it is ridiculous. I've dumped them and won't be going back. BUYER BEWARE.

I have been a Dollar Shave Club member for a few years now and while I absolutely love their products, my experience with shipping and customer service has been terrible. I have had to contact them many times because my box delivery is consistently late by several days and sometimes weeks. Trying to contact them is incredibly painful as well. Their 'customer service' department only take calls between 10 AM and 12 PM PST, and usually the customer rep is rude. This clearly tells me that they are not interested in providing quality service at all. They do have an SMS service, and getting a reply back is useless since I have never received a reply at all. As much as I like the quality of their products, I have had enough and I am cancelling my membership.

I placed an order for several items. The tube of toothpaste I received had a 2” slice in the tube. I took pictures of the damage and sent those along with an email describing the damage to Dollar Shave Club. I never got a response from the company. I am not going waste any more time on a $5 tube of toothpaste other than this review but I’ll never buy another product from them. One other issue I had with this company is after placing an order you never receive an email confirmation.

And they get a ton more than I get every month. I find it a bit hurtful when companies treat new clients so much better than existing ones. They Don at even have a phone number for customer service and the only thing they had see are bots that are incapable of helping at all! To be fair the product is not bad, although it is just body scrub, conditioner and body lotion.. which you can get in any drug store. My problem is that after 2 orders I felt I had enough and needed no more, so on the next email I didn't tick yes to a new box. Before I know it my bank account has been charged and the next box is on its way. This time I decide to deactivate my account, remove my payment method & address. All good I thought, I can reactivate when I feel is necessary.
But oh no, I wake up to 2 new emails today, I confirming payment and another saying the next box of product has been shipped!? Like wtf. So I go on their website... the page to cancel your account is rigged to make it impossible & there is no contact, just an ongoing list of automated question and answers. Which would be all well and good if they worked! I have requested them to be blocked from taking payments unauthorised. I just thought you needed to be warned before signing up to anything. WHAT A SCAM. :)

I had read about Dollar Shave Club and thought I would give it a try. I filled our my order, and received an email notifying me that it would soon be shipped. A couple days later, another email said that my order was shipped and would arrive 4-6 business days later. I waited 8 business days and then contacted the company. An automated email response said that I would be contacted soon.
Two days later I contacted them again. The saints automated reply. I waited three additional business days and sent another message. This time stating I wanted a full refund as I have yet to receive anything, or ever be contacted by them. This company has horrible customer service. Do not waste your time with them. Unless you want to contact your credit card and dispute charges.

I started using Dollar Shave Club a few years ago after seeing their humorous ads on TV. I was tired of the high price of Gillette products. The quality of the razors was inferior to Gillette, but they seemed worth it for the price. A blade from the third order, however, was apparently mismanufactured and actually broke (the plastic snapped) while I was shaving, causing a nasty cut. While DSC was defensive, suggesting that I was applying too much pressure, they eventually provided two free packs of blades. Note that in thirty-odd years of shaving with various products, I had never had a blade fail and cut me.
About a month ago, I realized that I was running low on blades. I checked the very user-unfriendly website and eventually found my order page, which showed that the last pack had supposedly shipped more than a month before. While a check of my bank account confirmed that I had been billed for them, they never arrived. Because it was almost time for the next order, I let it go. Then I was billed for the next order, which never arrived. I tried to used the tracking number provided, but DHL said it was an invalid number.
I contacted DSC through chat (which is about the only way you can talk to them). A representative made a vague apology and said that a replacement set was being sent immediately. I tried to ask what had happened to the last two orders, but was given no meaningful information other than that it was an "error". When I tried to track the replacement order, DHL once again did not recognize the tracking number provided, so I again contacted DSC chat. To call the company unresponsive and unapologetic is an understatement. Eventually, due to the seeming lack of concern for the failure to deliver, I demanded a refund for both shipments and canceled my subscription. I'm not sure what's up with the company, but it clearly has some pretty serious problems.

I have been using Dollar Shave Club for years and years. I love getting my razor refills in the mail automatically for only $10 a month, much cheaper and easier than going to store. I was having issues receiving it though due to the large package not fitting into my mail box. I wrote them once and they told me the postal service required that size, I wasn't buying it. So I submitted my feedback again and went on to tell them how much of an inconvenience it was for me to go to the post office to get my package. The next time I received my shipment it was in a package half the size, yay!! I am so happy and will definitely continue to use their products!

I have been a member since 2015 and found their product and service flawless... until recently. I made the mistake of changing from four razors a month to eight. My daughters liked them so the remaining four was to go to them, but that never happened because they never arrived. They charged my account on Oct. 15. By Oct. 25 the razors hadn't been received. Oops, they said, that was an error on their part but they sent them out immediately, they said, and I should get within 3-5 days. They even sent a tracking number which said I should get them on Nov. 1. Well, that day passed too and today the tracking information just says they're on the way. You can only reach them via email and their response is: I understand your frustration but they should be there with 3-5 days. Oh, that's another thing, customer service reps can't count! To avoid any more frustration, I cancelled my service. Good riddance Dollar Shave Club.

I read about this company few years ago and loved the idea of a quality shave at a discount price. This last September my wife got me a gift card for my starter pack and I went online and got it delivered. Yesterday I started the day with a shave using my new DSC razor. Visually I was unimpressed. The cartridge was bulky and toy-like. Maybe it's because of the bulky size of this multi-multi-blade cartridge. When it came to shaving I was even more disappointed. The cartridge size made it hard to judge my shaving patterns - but maybe in time that would change.
Right away it was awkward and scary. The feel of the blades seemed cheap and ineffective. Before I was halfway done I had 3 cuts and was not feeling confident anymore. Day two was no better and I felt it was a bad idea to continue. I've been using Gillette Mach 3 blades for many years. They're pricy yes, but they offer a smooth, consistent shave with no problems. I'm going back to my regular "overpriced" blades, thank you. Dollar Shave Club has helped me to see real value in what I thought was common and ordinary. Gillette, I'm coming home!

The website is not user friendly. Managing your account and orders is cumbersome, time consuming, and not transparent. Ordering razors should be a straight forward user friendly experience. I'm currently not sure how to cancel my account. I have emailed customer service to inquire and will wait to hear back. Whatever cost savings may be associated with the Dollar Shave Club is overshadowed by all of the drawbacks. I would rather go to the store pick up razors, throw them in my cart and move on with my day.

I usually don't post reviews online, but Dollar Shave Club is an exception. As a man with sensitive skin, their products are perfect for me and come at a great value. From the 'pre-shave scrub' to the 'shave butter' to their awesome, 5 bladed razor, their products are of exceptional quality and I would recommend them to friends, family members, and anyone. I initially bought my dad the $5 starter box for Father's Day (great gift!) and then signed up for my own subscription when I saw how great the products were. 5 stars!!

My initial order was lost, so they put in a replacement order. I eventually got both orders which was nice because I had ordered extra handles so then I was stocked up. The executive razors are ok, I found that I needed to change blades more often than I would with store bought razors but it was still cheaper overall. You don't always get reminders that your order is shipping, which was kind of a pain.
I was a member since 2018 and just cancelled. I lost track how many handles broke, at least 4 in less than a year and it seemed like the handle would break right after I put a new blade on it. They were really great on sending out a replacement handle, but it would take a while. The last time they even sent me a different handle to see if that one worked any better, but it broke also. I have never had a store bought razor handle break. With store bought razors I tended to drop them, slippery hands while shaving. For some reason, I have only dropped these razors a couple times so dropping was not the cause for the space between the handle and razor blade to more or less disintegrate into pieces. Customer service was fine and responsive, their emails were a little strange, and their razors just didn't work for me.

The Dollar Shave Club has products which contain many natural botanicals, and this has the triple bonus of smelling amazing, being extremely healthy for your skin and hair, and being better for the environment by not dumping as many artificial chemicals down the drain. For being sourced with such high-quality ingredients, they are pretty reasonably priced. I have ordered products from them which I wasn't crazy about, but the app makes it easy to update your next shipment. The one complaint which I could see somebody raising about their service as a whole, is that they have pretty limited selections for the scent-profile that you receive -- it is pretty one-size-fits-most in terms of the flavors of products they sell. Most of the scents are supposed to be unisex I believe, but I think they smell quite masculine (although I am a man).
I am especially a huge fan of their shaving products, although I also get my shampoo, deodorant, and hair styling products from them. I used to often end up growing out a full beard which was not very well kept, simply because I was too lazy to shave most mornings. But I enjoy the smells of these shaving products so much, that now I eagerly anticipate shaving every morning. And my face generally feels healthier than it used to.
I would most compare their products to the growing market of organic grooming products, because I switched to this service from previously buying grooming products at Whole Foods. For me, it is important to know that I'm not sloshing my body with artificial chemicals. That being said, DSC products are not technically organic, and do contain more artificial ingredients than products found at Whole Foods. However, in price, DSC products are pretty much the same as comparable products at WF.
And I would give DSC extra points for the convenience of not needing to visit the grocery store every time I think I might be running low. Also most products at Whole Foods tend to be marketed more towards women, and they have a somewhat more limited selection of men's products. Overall, I am definitely a fan of the Dollar Shave Club. I am currently receiving shipments from them only once every four months. They offer shipments ranging from once every 1-4 months.

I’ve been ordering from DSC for probably 2-3 years now. When they first came out, they became popular with women because male shaving supplies seems to work a lot better than woman-based shaving products. In my opinion, not only did the razors work a lot better but it was so much cheaper than having to go out and buy disposable razors all the time. You receive a handle when you sign up and then from there on out you receive monthly (or as often as you choose) packs of razor heads. Since I’ve signed up, I’ve only had to buy two handles.
I’m writing this review because although I’ve had 99% good experiences with them, I’ve recently had my first not-so-good one. I set my razors to be ordered on the first of every month. So on September 1st (a Saturday) my order was placed automatically. I got an email that said my order should arrive on September 7th (which was also a Saturday). The day came and went and since we don’t get mail on Sundays I was upset that I still hadn’t received them. I was out of razors so I was in desperate need. I used Facebook messenger to tell them that I had not received the order and they told me that because they were ordered on a weekend, I should expect them in 3-5 business days which would be Tuesday September 10th. That was a lie.
If it takes 3-5 business days then the 5th business day would have been the Friday after they were ordered, and also why would they say I should receive them on that Saturday? I didn’t like that they tried to play it off as if I wouldn’t understand what business days meant. The 10th came and went also and still no razors so after messaging them again, they sent a replacement. I ended up receiving my first order on the 13th, 13 days after my order was placed, and more like 10 business days later. I’m thinking of switching to a woman-based shave club now since those exist. DSC has always been good to me but I didn’t appreciate this incident.

My handle broke this morning. That's poor quality. Tried to order another one and after three attempts at customer service and trying to order a replacement, I literally could not place the order. "Chats" was automated, that only offered meaningless "solutions" that had nothing to do with my ordering a placement and asking for it to be here tomorrow.

When Dollar Shave Club started it was the best you could find. Then they sold the company and started going down hill fast. The handles are cheap and the blade's hard of a lower quality. I would start buying them again If they go back to their original product. Otherwise they can count me out.

The customer service phone number is essentially NON EXISTENT! It's ALWAYS CLOSED during business hours! They have to close the clubhouse EARLY but the email team is waiting to serve you. Give me a break! I called directly 310 986-9022 and 800-372-7797 Mon-Fri between 9AM and 6PM PST. Neither phone number will answer. EMAIL ONLY! BIG FAIL in my opinion!

I received a starter set as a gift and the blades called "the executive blade" were remarkable...produced a shave as close as a barber shave. When I got my next new blade set ("executive as well"), the design had been "modified" and they were shipped with a new handle that did not fit the original blades. The redesigned blades produced the kind of "cheese grater" shave that the company says it does not produce. Two shaves produced two facial cuts and no matter what I did, stubble remained. I contacted the company via both email and a quite cumbersome chat process. I was told that I would receive replacement blades of the original quality and a handle that fit them. As a side note, the original handle was very flimsy and broke after I dropped it once into my sink. It is obvious that the initial gift blades are the "bait" and that the replacements are the "switch".

My daughter whom is a minor used my debit card without my permission to buy razors. She bought with the understanding that it was a dollar each month. I received a statement charge of $28 each month. When I found out I made her cancel it right away in January 2019. It is now July 2019 and my statements show we are still getting charged and I have not been receiving any razors. So it is canceled but I am still getting billed for them. This is a scam!! There is no phone number to complain to and receive my money back and when I write to them online through the chat they send me an automated message with nobody on their end. I finally had to cancel my debit card and get sent a new one because of Dollar Shave Club. I am considering consulting an attorney about this.

I canceled my membership. The shipment date was wrong and they were trying to bill me and I hadn't even tried products because I didnt get then. I spoke to customer service and they did not have my permission and reinstated my membership to bill me without me knowing! THIS IS A SCAM! Then I keep getting booted out when I go on website to cancel. I am not getting responses back from email and called the phone # and they are not available and it hangs up on you!!! SHADY AND SCAM.

I hate to run out of shavers and to have to shop for quality and cost effective. These razors meet my needs and budget. However it is disappointing to receive such waste in the bulky nonsense packaging. I throw enough junk mail out everyday, I would rather them to find a less bulky way to ship their products. Think of the environment, landfills, trees, oxygen they are wasting.

I made 2 orders. The first one was never delivered to me. The second order took almost a month to be delivered and I didn't get my handle with my order. Their website won't allow you to cancel your shipment or delete your account. You have to contact them using email. Their razors are complete garbage. I only shave my head. I can get razors from the store that work better and without the hassle of waiting for a product that most likely won't arrive in time or with all my products in the package. I will never use them again and I will never recommend them to anyone. It's sad the disposable razors I use work better and last longer. Threw the blades I got away. I will stick to buying the packs of 4 disposable razors for $5.76 a month rather than their monthly fee which will go up and will cost you more than just buying them from a store. Please don't waste your time/money with this scam.

DO NOT BUY THIS SCAM. I was given two 25 dollar gift cards for Sunday, June 16 Father's Day. I went to the site signed up and ordered the starter kit. It never arrived. I have written the "support" people emails and have not received a response after 4 emails. The first email was inquiring when the starter kit would arrive. NO RESPONSE. The second email was about a glitch in the ordering. NO RESPONSE. The third email was about getting a refund - NO RESPONSE. The fourth email was pleading to get my son's money back. NO RESPONSE. Frankly, if you want to buy a good razor and you don't want the hassle of writing email after email after email after email just go to Walgreens.

Dollar Shave Club products are good, but they start you out on a $1 pack of razors (not including the $2 shipping) and slowly increase the price. After 1 year, the price is now $2 for the same pack of razors. 100% increase after 1 year of service is not right!

I have signed up on this so called $5.00 starter kit and $5.00 a month deal. Well, besides on false advertisement they have charged my account $39.60 without any authorization or whatsoever in my account. Contacted them and told them about the issue and was told I will get credited back. I waited a few days and still no credit. I contacted them again and said they said, "Sorry we dropped the ball," is the exact word and I still have the chat transcript. They are telling me to wait again a few days. I told them to cancel my membership and that I will be contacting my bank to reverse the unauthorized charges from this switch and bait scam. How can you charge anyone’s bank account without even telling you what the charges is for? This is no misunderstanding or error! It’s deliberate and intentional. Never again!

I’m a girl and I use the razor to shave my legs, so others may have different experiences than me. I got the Executive Razor handle and 5 blades along with other cool miscellaneous shaving stuff in the $5 signup package after a friend recommended it. Before signing up, I would use the same razor head/blade for months and never had any problems, but my friend said that was gross and I figured I’d try Dollar Shave Club. The packaging and arrival time was great, product looked nice, not cheap. But the first time I shaved I got like 5 different razor cuts and my legs itched horribly after I got out of the shower. I figured it was because the blade was new, but no.
Three razor blades later, every time I shave my legs, moments after getting out of the shower it feels like I’ve been bitten by a dozen mosquitos. I have to use itch cream after every shave because it’s intolerable. I used to look forward to the smooth shaved leg feeling and now I hate shaving. As of writing this review, I’m officially done with Dollar Shave Club. Their customer service is nice but the product just doesn’t work for me.

I received the 5$ trial and 2 days later I cancelled my subscription because I was dissatisfied with the product. The accessory scrub, lotion and cream were poor quality. A couple of days later I was charged 42$ for the same kit I got for 5$. This is a perfect example of the unscrupulous business practices that prevail online today. I WILL NEVER RESPOND TO ANOTHER ONLINE AD.

I am so happy I found Dollar Shave Club! I am a very skeptical person when it comes to trying out new companies. I mean most of us, I assume, are the same "If it isn't broken why fix it" Right?! Well I was so tired of spending so much money on razor blades that you find at your local super center or grocery store. I stumbled upon Dollar Shave Club through a social media page and have been a raving fan ever since! The prices are reasonable and the products work great! I recently spoke with Dolores about a shipping issue (that had nothing to do on DSC side) and she sent out a new box WITH SOME EXTRA GOODIES. I wasn't expecting anything extra just a conversation to see what was going on and questions answered, but Dolores went above and beyond!
