I purchased the entire bedroom set back in January of 2023. The sales agent Allison told us the pieces were expected to come in February and some in April. After we paid them she informed us that we would have to pay separate shipping fees if we wanted to get the items in 2 separate orders. I kept quiet, but felt it was misleading. Well fast forward, after numerous calls and text messages customer service can only tell me it’s in transit. The arrival dates kept changing each month. The dresser arrived in April to the warehouse, but because of the delivery fee they wouldn’t deliver the pieces as they came in, we have to wait for the entire order I was told.

We waited until September. Delivery day arrives, we are so excited to receive the furniture and to our disappointment only the bed frame and night stands came. I call customer service AGAIN, no one knew why the dresser didn’t come with the rest of the furniture. The lady was beyond rude and just scheduled for delivery for the following week. Delivery day arrives again, I took off from work again and no one shows up. No calls, no texts. I call costumer service several times to eventually find out that the dresser was damaged and that’s why they didn’t deliver in the first place. Mind you that the dresser arrived to the warehouse back in April and no one ever checked to make sure it was in one piece.

One of the customer service guys even told me that something seems odd because someone else purchase way after me and already received the dresser. He said he was going to look into this and call me back himself. I’m still waiting for the call. That was in September. I continue calling to get an update and they eventually tell me another dresser is coming and should arrive in November. I receive a text saying the dresser arrived and scheduled the deliver. My husband takes off from work this time (it’s the 3rd attempt) and 2 delivery guys show up with only the frame of the dresser. SERIOUSLY!! How screwed up is this company!

They make a few phone calls and tell us the the dresser is coming next week. Guess what! It was supposed to come this past Wednesday. No dresser arrived and no call from anyone. I called the store this time to speak with the manager, Jo-Jo. She reads off the notes that every customer service put in from my calls and tells me she is going to look into it. I am still waiting!

I’ve been a customer of Crate and Barrel since my early 20s. My entire living room is from there. I’ve never experienced such bad customer service. Oh and they already charged my credit card in full even though I still don’t have the rest of the furniture I ordered in January. I requested a refund and they said they can’t. I asked to cancel the order, they can’t do that either. So now it the end of the year, and no dresser. I feel I have been robbed. I have spent hours calling customer service about this. I’m tired and disappointed.

Worst experience ever bruh. Extremely overpriced for ridiculously bad quality and rude customer service. Such a disgrace. I was inexperienced in buying furnitures and thought the sofa was supposed to be $5000 - it doesn't have to, it's not made from gold. The media console arrived with missing parts and the holes drilled are not aligned properly so the whole shelf just wobbles. I paid $3000 for that piece of junk. When the twist desk arrived with a crack the delivery team told me they have to take it back. I was trying to cancel the order and ask for a refund. Guess what, the lady on the phone just told me I was stupid because she explained 3 times she can't cancel the order until the item goes back to the warehouse. WHAT? I will keep calling until you give my money back. You made me do this.

I ordered two outdoor sofas and cushions on Aug 21, the website stated it would be ready EARLY Sept. Throughout the month of Sept - first of Oct., there were no order updates or email communications on my order. I called several times, and the pieces were still missing. Finally, around Oct. 10, after I contacted them again, they were ready to set up delivery but the soonest was Nov. 7! My order sits in a warehouse that I paid $250 to have delivered, waited another month for all the pieces and another month to deliver with zero communication by C&B. This is unacceptable when you've spent over $5000 or any amount.

Will never order from this company again. Crate & Barrel brought a cracked dresser to me on Sunday — for a $300 shipping fee — and I called on Sunday later that day to try to get a redelivery, they couldn’t help me. I called Monday and talked to two people, they could not help but promised to email me personally and through an automated email from Crate and Barrel. I didn’t hear a thing from anyone. I called today (Tuesday) and surprise, no help again. Supposedly my case has been elevated to a supervisor and now I get to wait an additional 24-48 hours to hear back. Wow talk about customer service! In the meantime I have nine drawers worth of clothes on the ground, the guest room and bags in my hallway and no clue when I will get my 9-drawer dresser. I paid thousands of dollars for this dresser and this horrendous level of service. Order your furniture from anywhere else! Buyer beware, they will take your money and not deliver.

I ordered this table in August. It was available for pick up on October 17th. I drove from Memphis to Nashville to pick it up. The marble top was a bad piece with a large fissure in it. It was cracked halfway through the table. They also didn’t have any table legs for the table. I called customer service and was told they could deliver me a new table to my address when picking up the broken one. Then I was told to text them. During text I was told that they can’t get me this table or offer me delivery on a new table during the pick up of the defective table. So, I’m out a whole day of driving to Nashville and back home to Memphis with a defective table.

I was offered 15% coupon on a new item, but would have to pay for delivery on it. Even after I already drove 8 hours to acquire this one. This is bad business and would never shop at this company again. My designer friends told me to beware of Crate and Barrel, but I gave them a chance. And it backfired on me. I’m out that time driving and a days pay.

My recent experience with Crate & Barrel has been infuriating. I ordered a day bed for our nursery and was prompted to purchase a Naturepedic mattress at checkout, as the day bed didn't come with one. Little did I know, this would turn into a costly and frustrating ordeal.

    * Lack of Day Bed Dimensions: Crate & Barrel's website failed to provide the dimensions of the day bed, so when the day bed was delivered, it wouldn't fit through the door.. I refused the delivery and immediately requested a refund.
    * Misleading Information: Assuming that by refusing the day bed, I was also refusing the mattress, I was shocked when, a week later, the $800 mattress showed up unannounced in our apartment building lobby. Crate & Barrel had never communicated this, leaving me with an expensive and unwanted mattress.

    * Non-Returnable Mattress: To add insult to injury, when I called Crate & Barrel to address this issue, they informed me that the mattress was non-returnable. This critical detail was conveniently hidden on their website at the time of purchase. Now, I'm stuck with a perfectly good mattress in its original packaging that they refuse to take back because it shipped from a third party vendor. By the way, they also refuse to connect me said vendor.

This experience has left me deeply frustrated and disappointed with Crate & Barrel. Their lack of transparency, misleading information, and refusal to make things right have cost me $800 and a great deal of time and aggravation. I strongly advise against shopping at Crate & Barrel to avoid being ripped off like I was.

I recently had a disappointing experience with Crate and Barrel's dispatch team. When my delivery was delayed, I discovered that they had input the wrong phone number in their system, resulting in me not receiving any communication regarding my order. After contacting them for assistance, Juani **, a member of their dispatch team, instructed me to hang up and wait for a response within 5 minutes. Unfortunately, I never received a callback, so I had to reach out to them myself.

To my dismay, Juani asked me to wait an additional 30 minutes while they checked if the delivery truck could reverse and complete the delivery. Disappointingly, I did not receive any update during this time, so I called back. To my frustration, Juani answered the call and promptly hung up, completely ignoring me. Determined to resolve the issue, I called from another phone number, but Juani hung up as soon as she recognized my voice.

Needless to say, this experience has left me incredibly frustrated and upset with Crate and Barrel's customer service. It's disheartening to encounter such poor communication and unprofessional behavior from their dispatch team. Regrettably, this has been the worst purchase experience I've had with Crate and Barrel. I strongly advise the company to address these customer service shortcomings and ensure a more satisfactory experience for future customers.

I'm not the type of person to leave reviews but honestly, I've never been more disappointed in a company than I am right now with my experience with you. I'm 9 months pregnant and due on Thursday. I ordered a pretty expensive crib and dresser set (which said it would arrive in May) on your website back in February. We paid an outrageous amount in shipping costs to make matters worse. Since then, my order has been delayed on three separate occasions! You have been unable to provide me with any sort of dates of arrival and when you finally got one piece of our order in stock, I was told it could take 1-21 business days for it to arrive and that a third party would contact us.

We got a notification that our dresser had shipped and even got a text saying that it would be delivered, and it was promptly cancelled. When we called to find out what was going on, we got the run around and still have no answers as to where or when we will receive the dresser - which will likely be past my due date. For the amount of time, the cost of the order and shipping, the poor communication, long lead times for delivery, and having to work with an unreliable third-party company to receive an order I was genuinely excited about, has made the designing of my first child's nursery a complete nightmare. I would expect to be reimbursed at the very least, which hasn't been offered but basically what I'm getting at is - DO NOT SHOP here if you are needing something of importance in a reasonable time-frame.

I went to use the $360 reward today and it was not going through. When I put on my reading glasses and looked closely at the very faint size 3 font small print at the bottom, I realized it expired! Just a few months after purchasing the Court dinnerware, 4 pieces had already chipped. I contacted customer service who informed me that they would not do anything to remedy the situation as I had purchased this dinnerware at the Crate and Barrel Outlet. However, the Crate and Barrel name was stamped on the product, the price of each piece was the same as online, and there was no indication that this product was less than first quality. I spent $250 on 4 piece place setting and a couple of accessories. The website for this product clearly states "chip resistant".

Customer Service response was a joke. Not even asking for photos or offering a discount or replacement. Citing outlet purchases are final sale. The outlet did not have a any signage relating to final sale of this dinnerware! I purchased this product based on the online description. I purchased a dresser online from Crate and Barrel. I've purchased thousands of dollars worth of merchandise with them before and the quality has always been good. The dresser arrived and was damaged with scratches. I called customer service and was offered a discount to keep it which I agreed to accept. About a year later the slow-close drawers began to malfunction. When I called to seek a repair I was told that because I bought it as a "final sale" (their words, not mine) and had accepted a discount that I had no recourse and that they would not stand behind the product. I explained it was not purchased as a final sale but at full price. It only became a final sale (according to them when I accepted a discount to not return the damaged goods).

Why should they no longer stand behind their product just because they sent damaged goods and then offered a discount as compensation which I accepted? With their prices one would think they would stand by their product regardless of whether they sent damaged goods. I can't in good conscience purchase from them again. I would think long and hard about any purchases you make from them. They're fine to deal with as long as you don't have a problem with their merchandise. Buyer beware!

I purchased a couch in 2016. I noticed a few of the cushions of small areas where the seam is ripping. They provided absolutely no warranty resolution for this issue, instead they blamed me for "moving residents" and/or "vacuuming". Their solution was to either purchase an entirely new couch (of course through them) or purchase new cushions IF they still made the same couch. This is absolutely appalling considering how much you spend on products through this company. Their warranty policy is 30 days after purchase of product which is comical! I do not recommend purchasing anything through this company and will not be purchasing anything else through them. The customer service is ridiculous and extremely disappointing. Anything damaged or "wear and tear" will be your fault and they will not provide any way to fix the product unless you SPEND MORE MONEY WITH THEM.

I am sharing a review on this site since Crate and Barrel moderated my review and would not post it. I purchased the Avondale sectional back in January with the expectation that it would be delivered in August. This was understandable at the time due to supply chain issues. August arrived, and a damaged sofa was delivered (cracked leg and tear in fabric). The sofa was put back on the delivery truck. The Crate and Barrel customer service rep I spoke with seemed to be on top of re-ordering the sofa for us. We got a new delivery date of September, which had to be rescheduled for October due to a hurricane. No one showed up on the October delivery date. I called the delivery company to inquire and they informed me that the sofa was damaged and the delivery had been canceled. I called a local Crate and Barrel store for a status update (which was helpful since every time I called Crate and Barrel customer service, they couldn't give me any info).

It turned out they were delivering a temporary sofa to us. This was a frustrating surprise. No one mentioned a temporary sofa to us. This seemed like a waste of time and resources if we didn't want or need a temporary sofa. It also turned out that the Crate and Barrel rep who originally helped me return the damaged sofa never placed the order for our replacement sofa!!! At this point in time (October), I was being told that our sofa would be delivered in February. After two damaged sofas, very disappointing customer service and communication, and having to wait over a year for a sofa, I decided to ask for a full refund, which they gave me.

I will say that the sales rep at one of the local stores was very transparent about what had happened, which I appreciated. The store rep told me they would send me a small Crate and Barrel gift card to all of this inconvenience, but I never received it! This has been extremely disappointing for someone who has shopped at Crate and Barrel for years.

Extremely long wait, longer than they say, and poor service. Bought two sleep sofas in May and was told up to 6 months for delivery. Bought because having company at Christmas. In these 6 months, they have no idea where your furniture is or when it might be finished (comes from China?), and they can't give you an update. I find this appalling - it's a furniture company - how can they not know the status of your furniture?

I finally get the call that my furniture is ready for delivery (after the full 6 months) - to their warehouse in the US (I'm in Canada, bought on the Canadian site). When they say "6 months delivery" they mean to them, not you. From there it's another 4 weeks to get to Canada (and another $700 per sleeper added on later for this privilege), and another 2 weeks to get a delivery company in my city to get to me. I won't get my furniture until earliest the end of the year. Too late.

I ordered May 28 for 6 month delivery, and their next projected date for delivery to me is Dec 27. I ended up going to Ikea and buying two sleeper sofas to accommodate Christmas guests - now I will be stuck with 2 overpriced sleeper sofas. There is of course NO WAY to cancel the 'bespoke' order no matter how bad their service. I don't know why someone would put up with that level of service. Oh - also - no way to leave a bad review on their site. In the meantime spoken to some designer friends and find that they don't buy from C&B for this very reason. Expensive lesson learned.

I'm posting this here because C&B "moderated" my review, meaning they refused to publish it on their website as written. C&B provided legal language as to the reason citing the review must be about the product and its use. This is ironic given I cannot use the product because it is damaged and I cannot get a new product to use because of their vendor and delivery issues.

The Calypso cabinet is beautiful. It arrived with broken glass and misaligned drawers and cabinet doors. This has resulted in 4 additional failed deliveries over the course of >3 weeks and several phone calls to C&B customer service. The delivery issues are ridiculous (2nd attempt-delivery company no showed, 3rd attempt-delivery company showed up but without enough movers to pick up damaged piece and drop off replacement, 4th attempt-no showed for the second time. I even called C&B on the delivery day to confirm it would arrive given the issues, and yet the delivery company still no showed again. I was told by the C&B customer service rep that on this delivery (unlike all others) they could not give me a window and I would need to be home all day. During this call, the rep was rude, antagonist, and unhelpful and hung up on me.

To note, all other customer service reps were great. C&B refunded the delivery fee after the 2nd failed delivery, which I appreciate, however this hardly compensates for the time and frustration of this experience. I have had to follow-up in every instance of failed deliveries versus C&B or the delivery company leading resolution. At time of writing this review, the damaged piece has not been picked up nor do I know when this will occur. I am requesting a refund and again requesting the damaged piece be picked up. I do not want to give my business to a company who operates this way, including "moderating" honest reviews.

A couple weeks after purchasing we were notified the order was delayed more than once. When the order was shipped, one side table was damaged and had another customers name on it. Dresser showed up damaged, loose handles, dust and dirt in the drawers. They sent out a new one, again damaged. Finally ended up with an acceptable product. The rewards program is terrible, not allowing you to have more time to use your rewards, especially given their supply chain issues. You have to move mountains to get them restored.

After literally hours on the phone, chat, email etc... they restored part of the rewards and issued a partial refund. Almost not worth it, considering the time wasted fighting for this. One agent (part of the leadership team) was rude and questioned me as if she didn't believe me when I said I decided to keep the side table, even though it was damaged (this was negotiated with a customer service agent). I have bought from Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn and haven't had an experience like this. For what they charge for their products, I expected higher quality products and service. Never again! I should add, this buying experience in the store was good, everything after went downhill. Quickly took my money and didn't end up with all pieces for a year.

Bought a couch in the beginning May. Standard sizes and Crate & Barrel proprietary fabric. They said it would take 16 weeks (which is ridiculous to begin with). Then they constantly push it back. Nothing one can do. 5 months later and they don’t have a clue when it will be shipped, which I’m told can take up to another two weeks beyond their “ready for delivery notification” and we are still without a couch. Never again!

We are pleased with the quality of our Crate and Barrel "Tate" bedroom pieces consisting of a queen bed, two different dressers, two nightstands, and a bench. The set is beautiful and well made. The finish, clean design, and precision operation of the drawers on this quality made furniture is fantastic. I would, without hesitation, give C&B a five star review had the delivery process been better and quicker. We ordered everything in January of this year. In June, they delivered the nightstands, one dresser that was damaged, and the bed with damaged side rails. The damaged dresser and bed rails were not accepted.

I contacted C&B and customer service seemed responsive and professional. They told me the missing and damaged items would be set up for a second delivery. Since the bed was not complete without side rails, we slept on a floor based mattress and had nothing but nightstands for storage while we made do without a complete bedroom until the second delivery, now scheduled for mid August. When the second delivery arrived, the rest of the items all arrived except the bedrails. The bedrails were initially listed on the delivery, but were removed from the list without notice on the date of this "final" delivery. Everything else arrived intact and nothing was damaged this time.

I called customer service as soon as the delivery truck departed our home; I was not pleased, since this meant we would have to continue sleeping on a floor based mattress without a complete bed. The customer service rep was great, had great people skills, was sympathetic and he immediately set up the soonest available date for a third and final delivery scheduled for only 12 days later. On August 31, over eight months from placing the order, everything had finally arrived without further incident.

To be fair, the customer service rep had told me that Crate and Barrel was catching up and improving the delayed delivery problems following worldwide shipping and supply issues, so maybe things are better now. We would like to purchase one more item for our bedroom; however, we are somewhat reluctant to purchase anymore furniture concerned that it will arrive late and damaged. If you are not in a hurry, willing to wait and make yourself available for numerous delivery dates, then Crate and Barrel is definitely an option for quality furniture.

All orders, at least in my experience are very slow to arrive. I've had two that I canceled since it was taking so long.. This round I ordered a KitchenAid 5 qt mixer and it's been 13 days - today it was to arrive, it was on the fed/ex truck since 7:25 this morning. At 7:00 tonight I call C&B and the rep called fed/ex and they said for sure tonight it will be here. As soon as we hung up, fed/ex changed the shipping to an exception, customer not home, when I'm here and they did not attempt the delivery. So this is really a complaint on C&B and Fed/EX. They use fed/ex home and they clearly are not honest. Again a gift not arrived on time, no more business from me with C&B.

Please take time to read the reviews here regarding furniture orders and refund your furniture before they can come up with reasons to delay your refund. This means do it as soon as possible before status becomes: "ready to ship" or "preparing." I was really really hoping the following... "This is a big company right? These reviews must be biased from a minority of angry client cases right?" I was wrong. The bad reviews here are very true. Do not expect to get your furniture on time. Even when it says "Out for delivery," (again read other reviews as well), you will not get your furniture.

When I call customer service, they are actually very professional but... sadly... "All talk no action" is what the result of all that is. All talk. No action. I called about my "Out for delivery" order several times. Was told all kinds of things that are nice to hear such as "I have talked to the dispatch team... I have contacted the delivery team... and they are going to bring your furniture today." Nope. You will be asked to reschedule. Please trust your gut instinct. I know it is a big company. I know that review sites can be biased by negative reviews. But... this is real. Refund when you still can!

Don't be fooled by their marketing tricks! We were lured into getting their credit card for the 10% rewards. We spent more than $5000 and received $500 in rewards only to learn that we lost more than $250 of the rewards money because we didn't read the tiny print at the bottom. We were supposed to spend all the reward money at once and apparently forfeited the rest of the amount. I am so disappointed in the deceitful practices of Crate and Barrel's credit card.

I purchased the “Verge” sideboard in January, 2022. The item was back ordered so I patiently waited until July, 2022 for delivery. After scheduling the delivery and taking off work, the piece was badly damaged upon arrival to my home. I was told I could not use the item as a loaner because it was “hazardous” and had to be brought back to the warehouse. I contacted customer service to schedule delivery for a replacement and I was told I would have to wait at least until November when the item would be back in stock. The customer service agent had zero sympathy for the delay and for the fact that my tv would be sitting on the floor for the remainder of the year without the furniture I already paid for.

Her solution to the issue was “just order something else that’s already in stock”. She was very rude and argumentative. She also told me I wasn’t being “fair” to other customers by asking if I could have a replacement sent from the next batch of orders. I ended up canceling my order and I’m still waiting for my refund to be processed. I have since gone on the Crate and Barrel site to review the sideboard. I wrote “the item was poor quality construction and not worth the wait”. I gave the product one star. Crate and Barrel emailed me saying my review has been moderated and will not be make public because it doesn’t relate to the product or its use. Terrible experience overall and I would not recommend purchasing anything if you’d like it within the year.

All registries on the Crate and Barrel website automatically include Crate and Barrel gift cards as a registry item which says that the registrant welcomes gift cards, with no option to remove this item. My fiancee and I do not want gift cards and don't want our guests thinking we put them on our registry. We contacted the Crate and Barrel customer service email to remove this item and they refused, falsely claiming they were unable to do so because of "proprietary software." Only after I specifically requested it did they claim to have asked someone outside the customer service department, at which point the answer changed to them being unwilling to remove it as their policy.

They also refused to refund any gift cards bought from the registry, and were generally dismissive and passively insulting throughout the exchange, interleaving blunt refusals to help with corporate jargon like "It is not our intent to defraud you" and "We understand your disappointment and are happy to help." I would avoid them at all costs.

Back in March, I ordered a kitchen table online from C&B. The customer service indicated a delay of 8 weeks (understandable given the supply chain issues in the world at the time). After saying the table would arrive every day for 6 weeks when we called, when it finally arrived it was broken and not usable. The loading rep tried to not open the box to check the condition (box looked like it had been destroyed from outside and he/she knew it was damaged but didn't seem to care).

After not accepting the table, the company indicated they could deliver a replacement in September (3 months from now) and offered no compensation or support. Not only was it a horrible experience but the customer service team was not helpful, provided inaccurate information almost daily and gave no solutions/compensation for errors that were completely their fault. Safe to say we will never buy from C&B ever again and I hope others do not as well. Worst experience of all time from start to finish!

If you really don't want to receive your furniture in a timely manner and want to take the time to constantly reach out to Crate and Barrel customer service like it's a full time job, by all means purchase your furniture from here. Oh and if you want to get your stuff delivered, you might have to mention you want all of the pieces of the furniture at once.

Where to begin: I purchased a sectional and a rug from here in early July and was told an ETA delivery time of mid Nov. Then later I added an in stock table to my order and asked if they were able to deliver the in stock items to me and waive the delivery fee, and they said they could. How nice of them (they still charged me). Not only that, the first delivery attempt was for the rug and table in Mid December 2021 and only the rug showed up! I had to call Crate and Barrel and ask them what happened. Apparently the table didn't arrive to the warehouse in time from California (sadly it's still on its way according to them. It's 3/23/2022 as I'm writing this). I could have walked my table to here by now.

They told me to reschedule my delivery for the next available date, 3 weeks out in early January 2022, so I did! Turns out, the table still failed to arrive to the Seattle warehouse so delivery attempt # 2 failed. Once again, they said to schedule it out for the next possible date, another 3 weeks out (Late January 2022). Fortunately for me, my couch became available to book for delivery with the table for late January 2022, so I booked it too! When the delivery date came, I received 2/3 pieces of my couch and NO TABLE. I once again reached out to Crate and Barrel, and they said it didn't get to the warehouse, oh and the warehouse marked ALL the pieces of my couch delivered. Because of that, Crate and Barrel had to "return" my missing couch piece and reorder it, which booted me to the back of the line, for THEIR mistake.

The "estimated availability" date for my couch is showing up as Mid May (keep in mind this has been a rolling estimate date for months). Well, since all the items in my order was once available, I have gone from paying for a deposit to the full order amount, without receiving any full furniture pieces (except the rug). Well, at least I can get my Table scheduled for delivery AGAIN this time for early February (no 3 week wait, someone smart must have cancelled their order). Well, the delivery date rolls around and not to my surprise, its not available still. How funny, if you've lost count this is the fourth failed delivery attempt. I guess I'll call them again and get it scheduled again.

The next available date was 3 weeks out for early March 2022 and add it to the failed tally. So they scheduled me for another 3 weeks out, which brings me to this Friday 3/25 I ended up already rescheduling this delivery because they were planning on delivering only the base of the table. My current folding table is more useful than that. So now I've scheduled it for another 23 days out with the hopes that maybe, just maybe Crate and Barrel can deliver for once. If you've made it this far, thank you and I hope you've learned from my mistakes. I should also add, they try to charge me for these failed deliveries too, it's so sad. They also promise discounts on top of existing discounts, but don't actually do it. MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR A DETAILED INVOICE. So here I am 7k+ in the hole for parts of a couch and no table.

TLDR: I placed my order July 2021 and my stuff still isn't here. They've delivered parts of full furniture items and not even the full item. The logistics at this company is absolute trash, and I'm on delivery attempt number 7 and actual delivery attempts, like the warehouse calls me to confirm and everything. It's all just really sad.

Good Afternoon Crate and Barrel. I am writing this E-Mail to express my utter disappointment and regret regarding my Crate and Barrel sofa Order # - **. As this Email and those corresponding with it indicate, an part of a sectional sofa was erroneously delivered to my residence. Numerous inquiries by phone and Email were made however no explanation or admission of any findings were communicated to me. I was instructed to provide photos of order tags that were inside the incorrect couch to assist in this matter yet again, I’ve gotten no response.

I also received an additional E-mail requesting I take pictures of the packing labels to help one of the managers at the vendor stating “that if they see that they were labeled incorrectly by the vendor, they may be able to expedite the production” and that “They are still in the process of seeing if they can locate the correct sofa if in fact it was created and sent there.” These packing labels were taken away by the delivery team. I do not have them. Surely Crate and Barrel must have some documentation on file showing the packing labels. I cannot understand why the burden is placed on myself to provide documentation that should readily be on file? Surely some more information must have been gathered at this point and could have been communicated?

Once again, I have not gotten a response to that query. At this time it is my understanding that a new order had been placed (without my consent) with a new delivery date of August of 2022. That is approximately one year to the original order date of September of 2021. This is unequivocally unacceptable. In addition it does not resolve the question of the whereabouts of the original order. It is troubling that quality assurance and control measures were seemingly not in effect with this order. Although compensation has been mentioned, it has been vague and noncommittal and offered only after the delivery of the new couch has been made. This matter has already cost me the unexpected loss of time off from work and wages, plus precious time involved in email and telephone exchanges with various customer service representatives.

It has also taken away my confidence and trust in the integrity of the Crate and Barrel brand. This entire experience has failed to meet my expectations as promise by the company. At this time I am asking for an immediate full and complete refund on this order. I have already paid in full and I expect reimbursement for failure to live up to your end of the contract. I will be contacting the Crate and Barrel offices as well with regard to this matter. Robert **.

I contacted Customer Service at Crate & Barrel. I was advised because the vendor was delivering through a 3rd party they did not have much control over the delay. I requested the contact information for the vendor because the phone number I had for the vendor went to a recorded line. Crate & Barrel tell me they have limited information and will try to check into for me. I receive a call back stating I need to wait an additional 72 hours to find out the cause of the delay. I asked detailed questions as to what contributed to the delay, why was I not contacted there would not be a delay, and requested the 3rd party vendor information again so I could talk to them directly. I was only told I need to wait 72 hours and if I do not hear anything, then follow up with Crate & Barrel on Monday.

Nobody wanted to provide with a reason for the delay. I searched for a contact number for the 3rd party vendor myself, spoke with them, and found out there was a weather delay. I inquired why wasn't I notified of this. The customer should be notified and not have to do all of the guesswork. The vendor said it was due to their computer systems and other orders being backed up. I have a tracking number and still have to wait until Monday to see if things get moving to reschedule another delivery. The vendor said Crate & Barrel should have provided me their contact information. Crate & Barrel blamed the 3rd party vendor. All in all this has been a very bad experience. At this point, I just want my bed to arrive. Whether or not, I will every buy from Crate & Barrel remains to be seen. They have not lived up to solving this issue and should have available contact information for 3rd party vendors.

I've chatted/call them several times and delivery was pushed back to mid Sept. It is now mid Sept and I am on terminal phone call hold with them. None can give me a straight answer. I'm very disappointed with them. I will never order from this company and I do not recommend this company at all.

I call to request an explanation and was hung up on by multiple individuals. I then call my credit card company and after begging for someone to help me they did. We called together and again were received by multiple unprofessional individuals. The last individual placed us on another hold and disconnected the line. My credit card company was applauded by the lack of information Crate and Barrel provided and the lack of professionalism. I had to lock my credit card to ensure further transactions weren't placed. I purchased a $1,500 cabinet with C&B on May 22nd. It was backordered at the time with a projected availability date of June 25th. I figured a month's wait wouldn't be too bad. But, one month turned into two, with no definite availability date in sight. They pushed back the arrival date every week till it became a regular and anticipated source of frustration. Customer service could offer no additional insight about the delay. It seems that C&B could care less about things like accountability or honor. I found the manufacturer of the piece and wrote to them, as well. Crickets. No reply. I ended up canceling the item which proved to be a difficult feat. They took my money in seconds, but getting it back was slow going. I recognize that COVID might still be in play in this scenario. However, I don't believe C&B should advertise products they can't or won't deliver. Not recommended.

When shopping for a couch we found many that we liked and one of those happened to be the Lounge 93" Sofa. Others were from various vendors. We ultimately decided to go with the Lounge Sofa in a Stock fabric because they told us it was in stock and would only be 3-4 weeks to deliver and the other companies told us it would be more likely 10 weeks and we wanted it sooner than that. We are at three months and still don't have our couch that was "in stock with stock fabric." What is the most frustrating part is that they constantly have the estimated delivery date and then two to three days before that date they push it back an additional three to seven days. It is almost like they got you on the hook but then slowly drag you along for weeks and months saying it should be there soon or in the next 7 days.

Totally fine if the couches are not in stock - I get it, supply chain is all messed up because of Covid. But PLEASE don't lie to your customers to get their money. Now I am stuck in a house with no furniture and C&B has my money to hold the couch that has likely not been made yet. I have a housewarming party in two weeks that I will likely have to cancel because I will not have my couch. I wish I would have gone with another brand that had a better handle on their supply chain and didn't bait you to buy their couches with inaccurate delivery times.

They delivered some of the sofa in April (including the back ordered piece), but they did not delivery a non-back ordered piece at that time and said it would arrive in May or June. Then it was pushed back to July, now it’s scheduled August (mind you we have only a partial sofa currently, which doesn’t work). Clearly they sold us a piece of furniture they didn’t have in stock. This is a “bait & switch” and highly unethical behavior.

Be aware that returning large pieces to Crate & Barrel is a long & tedious process. I bought 2 large Chairs from Crate & Barrel after going to the store to check their return policy and ease of returning, as I wasn't sure the color would work for me. The girl explained that I could either call and arrange a pick up but I would have to pay a restocking fee or I could return them myself to the warehouse which she confirmed was only 10 mins away. When the chairs arrived, I did not like them, so I immediately started the return process by attempting to call the number online. I was on hold for a long time (15mins?) and so took the suggestion of their 'recording' and decided to try texting.

I got a girl (I won't call her name), who was obviously too busy to be taking my case as she responded every 10 mins and then completely stopped responded. It was then picked up by someone else... I then texted back & forth for 1 hour & 15mins, trying to arrange to return them to the warehouse (an appointment is needed to do this and the first available was in 2 weeks)! So then I decided it to pay the restocking fee and have them pick them up. That was a 10 day wait. I assume, sensing my frustration, the young lady called me to discuss. She was very pleasant & we concluded that she would contact the warehouse and get back to me the next day (yesterday). That did not happen. I called today again and spoke to someone else, (also very pleasant) who assures me that someone will contact me either tomorrow or the next day. Hopefully they will...

I just picked up a beautiful fireplace screen in pewter. I had already read the reviews on the store website and was advised that this was very simple to assemble because it involved simply attaching the two feet at the bottom with two screws. Well, I got my lovely screen today. I went to put the two feet on with the two screws (one screw per foot) and discovered to my horror that this was one of the more complicated assemblies I have ever faced (and I put together a LOT of furniture.

The problems included: (1) the holes for the screws were not circular! There was metal material in one of the screw holes which did not permit the screw to turn in the hole. I had to "ream" the hole to fit the screw. (2) One of the screws was rusted, so I had to oil it in order for it to turn in the hole (once reamed). (3) The holes for the screws were so close to the body of the screen, it was almost impossible to turn the screws into the feet. Most significantly, (4) I was not provided an Allen wrench for the holes in the screws (why weren't they just phillips head screws???).

The instructions said that an Allen wrench was included, but the box with the two feet said that it only contained the two feet with two screws. No Allen wrench. Well, that's okay because I have a zillion Allen wrenches, so I assumed that this would not be a problem. Of course, not a single one fit the rather large opening. Either my Allen wrenches were too large or too small. So I ended up using a pliers to try to turn the screws. It was ridiculously difficult for two little screws. I still gave this screen a 3 rating because it really is beautiful, despite the fact that the feet are not tightly screwed in and are therefore a little bit wobbly and because of how difficult assembly turned out to be.

I placed an order online for an item that was backordered. Before placing the order, I contacted customer service via text (they no longer are taking phone calls?) and the rep assured me I wouldn't be charged for the item until it was available. Well that turned out to be a lie, because right before I hit “Place Order” I was warned that I'd be charged a 50% deposit. Uh, OK, whatever. I also asked for a coupon to be applied to the order that wasn't working for me, and, again, the rep reassured me it'd be done. Well, I contacted them 24 hours later, after it appeared the full amount was now being charged to my credit card.

Not only did they knowingly charge the FULL AMOUNT of the order despite what I agreed to on their website (50% deposit), I found out the 20% also wasn't applied. They tried to weasel out of applying the discount because they claimed it wasn't a valid coupon AND said that I would have to pay the full amount because it was a store pick-up versus having it shipped. That made no sense to me and certainly wasn't disclosed when I made the purchase, which means they are fraudulently charging people amounts they don't agree to. I immediately told them to CANCEL the order and I'll never be doing business online again. What a nightmare!

I've spent thousands of dollars there and only have bad experience after bad experience getting my items. The delivery and communication of said delivery is deplorable. They are SO glad to take your money but take their sweet time letting you enjoy the items you've worked so hard to purchase.

In this instance, I ordered the Tyson leather chair (custom) and the nesting coffee tables. I was quoted a 8-10 week delivery process to accommodate the customized piece (not sure if I buy that, but whatever) and now we are sitting at 10+ weeks with no furniture to show for it. Any updates on the status? Nope. Not a call, email, VM, nothing. I had to drive down to the store when I hit 10 weeks to ask someone to tell me what was going on (don't get me started on the fact that every salesperson in there pretended I was invisible). Only to find out, part of my order now is delayed.. Why wasn't that held for me when I wanted to have 1 delivery day... so I don't have to take off more than one day from my job that pays for these items...?? Hmmm... so now we'll be looking at about 15 total weeks for something that was supposedly available for delivery the day I purchased it. We'll see if it even makes it by that 15 week mark.

Just got off the phone with the customer service rep at the Dallas locations, by the way. He had no resolution to offer other than rescheduling for another day-- is that a joke!? Don’t order SASHA Arm Chairs! After 8 weeks of placing my order online for two of these chairs was informed after calling customer service that chairs were delayed one month. Two weeks later I was informed after calling for an update that chairs were now delayed another month and I CANNOT cancel the order. They will not allow it. So three months later no chairs yet. This is truly unacceptable service and Crate & Barrel should have provided information before order placement that these chair orders would take minimum of 8-10 weeks. If I had known this I certainly would not have ordered these chairs. Never buying from Crate & Barrel again, just not worth the headaches.

Ordered 2 sofas and chair, waited 10 weeks for delivery. Both sofas covered in dirty black marks and one had a hole in. We told them not to bother unwrapping the chair. These sofas were clearly wrapped like that from the manufacturer so clearly no quality control. Absolutely disgusting that not one but both sofas dirty and damaged. We asked delivery driver to take away. Crate and Barrel asked us to keep the furniture but we refused. We didn’t want dirty furniture in our house. So, so disappointing.

My wife and I ordered a custom Axis II couch from Crate and Barrel at the end of June. It arrived today and the back of it was completely smashed. In the months between order and delivery we attempted to contact Crate and Barrel to alter the order because we thought the couch we chose might be too big for our living room. We were told that since it is a custom order and it is currently in production they could not change the order as it is all cut from the same cloth therefore they cannot simply re-sell the part in their stores that we didn't want. So, ok, we dealt with that, cause what could we do. Fast forward to today when it is delivered. Two guys carry each piece in and when unwrapping it we notice the damage. The top wood frame of the wedge section of the couch is completely cracked in half and the fabric is torn.

The delivery guys called Crate and Barrel for me and as I'm speaking with them they tell me "we'll have someone come out and fix it" -- this is beyond repair. Besides, we don't want a refurbished couch when we paid for a NEW couch. We paid for a brand NEW couch so we want a NEW couch. I tell them that and they say, "Ok we can order you a new piece." Well wait a minute...what about the whole "it's cut from the same fabric so we cant add or take away any pieces as it might not match?" When it's convenient for them I guess they can magically make a new piece from "different" fabric (even though it's a stock color). Ok so, fine, they'll replace it. I then say, "Well it needs to be expedited". They have the nerve to say "sorry we cannot do that".

So to review: We ordered a very expensive custom couch. It took almost 3 months for it to be manufactured and delivered. When it was finally delivered it's completely ruined and when I ask them to expedite a new piece (and all it is, is a wedge) they say no. On top of all of this none of the legs on the couch sit flush on the floor. Each one of them has at least one side that does not make contact with the floor. Kind of like those tables at restaurants that you need to rip up coasters and stuff them under so you can eat on the table without spilling your drink on yourself. Yea. That's what we get for over $3,000.

We will never buy another thing from Crate and Barrel. Oh and the icing on the cake. The woman on the phone told me that they make sure to take the best care of their custom order customers...oh really? This is the "best care" your company provides? Well, I'd hate to be someone who didn't order a custom piece. 'Cause we got less than nothing. Can't imagine how you treat people who order stock items. Totally atrocious. Worst company of all time. Do not waste your money or time at this dumpster fire of a place. Honestly you might be better off going to your local junk yard and dragging a couch out from under piles of used diapers and rusty nails than ordering anything from Crate and Barrel.

I ordered the Winnetka table and buffet and chairs and the first time they delivered items they forgot the base of the table. The driver didn’t even attempt to delivery the table top - he told us not to take the table without the base. After calling the store for 5 days straight I finally arranged to have the table delivered again. Never got a call the day before with a delivery window so I had to once again call the store to confirm the delivery was actually scheduled. Waited home all day Saturday only to have the driver tell us he only had a base - no table top. I am still waiting to get the table delivery rescheduled - after having paid for it over 6 weeks ago. The customer service has been dreadful. I don't think I will ever order anything from them again.

I received a gift for my wedding from Crate and Barrel (I wasn’t registered there). I tried to return it 4 months after my wedding, it’s still in the box, all the bowls still wrapped up and they wouldn’t take it. Their return policy is a strict 90 day return policy. For a high end furniture, pricey home store, they should have a better return policy. Nordstrom’s has a great return policy and that is a reason why they have loyal customers and people continue to shop there. If Crate and Barrel wants to grow their consumer base they should consider adjusting their return policy. I haven’t ever gravitated towards Crate and Barrel but now I never will. Why would I when I can get better service elsewhere.

Beware! Absolute WORST customer experience ever! Ordered the Ditto II sectional sofa and patiently awaited delivery. When it finally came, the order was wrong. They sent me two left arm sofas, versus a sofa and chaise. When the delivery men opened it in my apartment (scratching my hardwood floor in the process), and we realized it was wrong, they wouldn’t take it back and told me they weren’t permitted to do that, and that they had to leave it with me as a “loaner.” I explained I clearly didn’t need a loaner as still had a sofa in that space, but they still did not take it with them.

Then, I called CB2 that day (6/14/19) at 2:04 pm CT to tell them what happened and that I wanted it out of my apartment. I have a small one-bedroom space now occupied with three sofas! The customer service woman said the earliest they could come get it was on June 28! And, she sent me a $50 gift card assuming that would ease my frustration.

I never received a confirmation that they were picking it up, so I called back again today (6/21/19 at 11:56 am CT, and they called me back at 12:15 pm CT), spoke with Heidi in customer service who, after I asked to speak with a manager and she said the manager is out of the office, transferred me to Karen in problem resolution. I was told that they had NO RECORD of my phone call on 6/14!!! And, now the earliest they can come is in July!!

I explained to Karen that they are making me LOSE money since I often rent my space on Airbnb and cannot do that with my apartment in this state! And, CB2 still has my $2,000 that I want refunded after they pick up the sofas! So, essentially, they are making money while I am losing money and there’s absolutely nothing I can do. And, I am also expecting company as well and embarrassed at what my apartment looks like right now. I even offered to ship it myself to their freaking warehouse, but of course they won’t allow that to happen. This is UNACCEPTABLE! This was my first experience with CB2 and will certainly be my last once this is resolved. I will NEVER shop there again – EVER. I wish I saw their HORRENDOUS reviews before I made this purchase!

I wrote a review about this company after speaking with several people. I contacted Corporate Customer Service finally, and got a nice person who helped me and showed me that I did make a mistake in the order process, too. She has handled their end and mine! I cannot - in good conscience - leave the review the way it was. I was harried and am thankful for the company's help now.

Crate and Barrel is shipping wedding gifts to giver, not bride; they are saying $414 order was held up for 2 small items valued at $40; two Customer Service reps were rude; they will not put me through to a supervisor; and after many years of loving the place - shopping in person - I am very disappointed. They said my credit card was declined when my bank said there was no charge attempted, much less declined. Then, the gifts were late and being shipped to MY home! No offer to expedite shipping free since it was their fault.

Call center is in IL and I'm just so surprised at the reactions of these people. I won't do this again.... And today, two items on the LONG list of items with another order went down in price by $20 each. Cannot get through to ask them to reduce the price and wouldn't have had to "get through" before this very convenient computer age when one can set software to do anything. I'm frustrated. Very frustrated. There are other stores and this problem isn't just with me!

I received a product that was not at all like what was pictured on the Crate and Barrel website. I considered the product as not as represented and returned it with an explanation. Crate and Barrel does not refund shipping costs even when they are at fault. Other reputable companies like Amazon, accept responsibility for the quality of their products and include shipping fees in their refunds when they are at fault. This was my response to Crate and Barrel when I was informed that I had to bear the cost of their misrepresentation.

Thank you. I, of course, will no longer do business with your company. I believe the glasses were not as represented; therefore, I believe the shipping costs should also be refundable. Other reputable companies, like Amazon, accept responsibility for the integrity of their offerings and include a refund of shipping fees when they are at fault. I will reflect this opinion in my review of Crate and Barrel.

I bought the Marin Media/Bar & coffee table to match. My issue was with the condition of the bar. The color was perfect and was only slightly a different hue than the coffee table (understandably due to wood). However there were inflections I noticed when the sun hit the table. It looked as if someone had previously scratched the top of the surface and filled it in. This was very well done but still resulted in a visible scratch on the surface of our new bar/console. I also noticed a large diagonal mark which I believe was made from an X-Acto knife when being opened at the time of delivery. The mark crossed 3 of the slotted panels on the front doors. I called to have it replaced and was impressed with the customer service who immediately sent out a replacement a few weeks later. However, I waited all day on a Saturday to have them come after the delivery time and after waiting indoors the entire day.

They proceeded to move the console and replace it but the one they brought was more than 3 shades lighter and looked completely different than the one it was replacing not to mention the coffee table and this no longer looked like a set. Furthermore, the doors on this one did not close properly and upon pointing this out the movers proceeded to jam the doors closed creating a huge and very noticeable mark and indent on the cabinet. To say the least I was unimpressed and we sent the replacement back.

I did not proceed to have another replacement as I was frustrated with the service and did not want to waste additional time to wait around for what would seem to be a never-ending issue. The coffee table was in good condition but was very dirty in the slots upon arrival. My thought was I was given previously returned items in hopes to get rid of them in the warehouse instead of new items. I am not a person who has ever filled out a review and it took me a long time to do this but a little more than a year later it does bother me every time I see this piece in the light.

I used their callback option so I didn't have to wait on the phone for my turn. They called me back at my turn. About a week later, I noticed that my account was billed even though there was no indication of an update on my order. I contacted customer service through their chat option on their website. The representative was very helpful and let me know that my order was ready, and I should start the process of scheduling delivery. I did this, and everything went exactly as planned after that. The furniture is even more beautiful and well made than I expected. I think they need to get better at communicating with customers, but based on my experience I think they are a company that provides quality products.

Last fall, during a furniture sale, I ordered the Barrett Ottoman with tray and casters. This is a custom item, and I was told it would take a couple of months to receive it. In late November, as promised, I received an email notifying me that my ottoman was ready to be delivered. I went online to choose a delivery date. The room in which I'll use it was in the middle of being remodeled, so I chose a delivery date almost a month out.

A week before the scheduled delivery, I realized the workmen wouldn't be finished in time, so I called Crate and Barrel and rescheduled the delivery date, pushing it another week out. A couple of days prior to delivery, I received an automated phone call reminding me of the delivery date. That phone call also narrowed the time down to a 2 hour window, and asked me to confirm by pressing "1" on my phone, which I did.

On the actual delivery date, I again received an automated call, when the truck was approximately 10 minutes from my place. Long story short: the ottoman was exactly as ordered, and delivered as promised. The guys had to carry it to the second floor of my house, but I'd specified that when I ordered it, and there were NO problems. I've read so many negative reviews of Crate and Barrel on this site, that I wanted people to know that my experience with Crate and Barrel products and delivery has been excellent. I ordered the ottoman from the Crate and Barrel at Willow Bend in Plano, TX, and it was delivered to my condo in far North Dallas.

It took nearly 30 minutes to find my order in the stock room. By the way, the store was not busy at that time. Yesterday my plates arrived through FedEx. 7 out of 8 plates were shattered and I called customer services immediately around 2 pm. I was on hold for 45 minutes before a agent answered. This was just unacceptable for customer services. The excuse was because of high call volume due to holiday season.

A day after my first online order, I placed another online order for store pickup. After my first pickup experience, I called the store 30 minutes ahead, gave my name, order number and asked the associate to bring my purchase to the register for pickup. Lo and behold, my purchase was not at the register and took another 30 minutes to locate my bag. I was going to let Crate and Barrel know about my experiences. The only available information for feedback was the customer services number which I had to wait for 45 minutes for someone to answer or write a letter or fill out a survey on the online ordering software. Obviously the company does not want to hear from customers directly. If so, the company will make it more convenient to listen to customers’ feedback. I will never order online for store pick up again nor for home delivery for breakable items. Crate and Barrel will not have much of my shopping dollars from now on.

Delivery took place 12 weeks from purchase date which I expected; however, the wrong love seat was delivered. I refused its delivery and waited for a call from their warehouse or third party vendor (at this point I don't know as local store told me they couldn't contact them on my behalf). The only call I got from the warehouse was 6 days after on a Saturday just to tell me that the person who received the email with my issue would look into it on Monday -- when I asked why nothing was done the prior days, I was told "there are other clients" this person has to handle inquiries for!

Monday came and got no call. I called the local store to share my frustration and to see if they could do anything about it or to offer some type of discount -- was told the store manager was abreast of the situation and would be contacting me. The only person I ever spoke at store was Emma; no sales manager. No discount was offered and ended up canceling item that was pending. At first I thought they felt the amount of money I spent was of no consequence but based on other reviews, I see that it's a general problem with this company.

Because Crate and Barrel is such a huge company, I would have never assumed that the customer service they provide would be SO disorganized. Not only does it take forever to get a hold of an agent when you call the customer service phone # provided on their website but when I FINALLY got through, the agent "helping" me told me I had the wrong number and needed to call the international line to return my items for a refund so she transferred me... Another 40 min wait to get through to someone only to get THE SAME EXACT AGENT FROM BEFORE TRYING TO TELL ME SHE NEEDED TO TRANSFER ME. I don't like losing my cool but I had told her that I had waited well over an hour and wasn't willing to waste any more time.

She told me she would email the international team personally and have the issue fixed asap. No email was sent out and still have heard nothing about my return. This is the most disappointing service I have ever had and it really is a surprise considering how big of a company. If you're looking to shop online here, make sure you are Positive you want the item because chances are you are going to be stuck with it.

They are now telling us it got picked up by a shipping company on 11/14, but they can't provide any updates. No tracking, no trucking info, just that it takes between 2 and three 3 weeks to get delivered after its picked up. Are you kidding me! This place is a joke. Horrible customer service, horrible shipping, no communication. I'll never order furniture from them again.

Crate and Barrel has the worst online order and customer service I have ever seen anywhere. I orders two different items and paid for separate wrapping (extra charge for that of course). Items came in one box wrapped together. So, I get in touch with their customer service who resent the items, promising to refund me the money I paid for the wrapping and extra box (8 days later, still no sign of the refund). And guess what, when the second order came in, they were AGAIN in one box. Now the second mishap arrived a day before I was to give those presents to two different people which forced me to spend Saturday driving around to find adequate boxes to wrap the presents separately so that I can make my friends happy. Of course, I contacted C&B again and they offered to send me a 50.00 dollars for the two wrong orders. I turned their offer down because they are the one who twice made the same mistake in the same week.

They seem to be very oblivious or I would say, not concerned at all for their mistakes or for wasting my day off to find presentable boxes and wrapping, and they said they will forward my emails to their Home office to find a resolution, adding that I will be contacted within 48 hours. 96 hours later I still haven't heard a word from their home office. So I sent another email and this time, the next day someone called me, apologized, saying the email was not sent to them until today.

So now I am looking at customer service that lied or was lazy, not sure which is worth and still no resolve for two orders that they didn't fix. Home office upped the bribe to 100.00 gift card (that's what they called resolving the waste of my day off and ruining two perfect gifts for my friends). Yes I turned down their offer, but also told them social media will hear about this. It is not a question of revenge at all, a company like C&B proved to be unorganized, liars and seem to not care about their customers and that is what I am showing here.

Not sure how many stars to give it since my table is not yet delivered. I ordered in January and confirmed delivery for October 26 for my first home. Excitement has turned into frustration. The delivery has been canceled three times and I have wasted three vacation days from work on this debacle. Latest cancellation was for today. Received a voicemail on Sunday confirming delivery. Second voicemail yesterday morning canceling delivery, then a text confirming delivery, then a text canceling delivery. Customer service has me on hold for an hour and tells me they need to get back to me and don’t. I now want to cancel table. Problem is I bought the Laredo chairs specifically for this table. They were delivered but I don’t want them if I am getting the runaround about the table.

Probably the most ironic and humorous thing was that after I rescheduled due to contractor issues I was told I was going to be charged storage fees but as a courtesy they waived them. Amazing that I would have to pay storage fees for a piece that no one can seem to find. I really don’t think anyone cares especially since they have had my money for months. I am an architect and if I gave this level of service I would have been canned a long time ago.

The item description said they were shipping in late December, and when I just called to check the likely ship date I was told February!! So, I tried to cancel the order because that is too far out. They told me that the cancellation has to be within the first 3 days, and it has been 4 days so I can't cancel. So, they're telling me to wait until February, but I can't cancel in October, 4 days after placing the order, when they have pushed the delivery date out to an unacceptable time frame. I have bought many items of furniture from C&B, but they are *very* hard to do business with, and in the future I would only consider buying something in stock and promised for immediate shipment. I might not even do that, because I don't trust them any longer.

I normally purchase inexpensive furniture. I decided to shell out more for this ottoman. The first order arrived without warning. Luckily I had called to check status to learn it was being delivered that day - no tracking information was available on the site. It just said ‘shipped’. It was delivered to a contractor working on my front steps and it was defective. There were rips down one side and the top and bottom did not align. I called customer service again (with very long wait times) and they said they’d send a replacement. They said that we would coordinate a pickup for the 1st one after the replacement is received. I’d have to call back again. Sigh.

The replacement one arrived with issues, also without warning as the order didn’t update with tracking information. I had to call customer service to find out AGAIN that it would be delivered to me that day. Luckily I was home both times. Zero tracking information again. This one had a caster broken upon repair and again, the top and bottom didn’t align. Poor construction.

I had to coordinate a pickup for these two ottomans and package them myself which was very challenging. They told me FedEx would come but instead it was an unmarked truck. Here we are 2 weeks since pickup and I’ve contacted them twice for a refund. The agent let me know that she’d submit the request which I was also told the week before. So so very frustrated. It’s been hours of time wasted and a completely frustrating experience and they won’t give the money back for their products for 2-3 weeks AFTER the warehouse checks them. Never ever again.

I placed an order on a sectional sofa online on 23/8/18. When I checked out, it clearly says "Arrives: 2-4 weeks". The website still displays this today. This information is also consistent with what the staff told me when I visited the Chicago store. However, at the end of the 4th week, I received a call notifying me the item will leave the warehouse that Friday 9/21/18 and I will receive it in one or two days after that. I cancelled the plans for that weekend and waited. Nothing. I called back and was told that I had to wait for a call from the carrier. It was out of the hands of Crate and Barrel.

Days later, the carrier called and said the earliest date available is 10/3/18. This is way beyond the 2-4 weeks indicated on their website and I paid $299 for this shipping service. I find the information online SUPER misleading. I called Crate and Barrel again to explain the situation and was on hold forever. When you are told "the wait time is less than 7 minutes", it's never less than 7 minutes. Then the customer service people told me "a normal person would understand it means 2-4 weeks after shipping". Gotta be kidding me. Obviously I'm not normal enough to shop with Crate and Barrel.

I should be clear, I do not live in the wilds of North Dakota. I live in Charlottesville, VA. One hour from a Crate and Barrel store. I was unhappy, but said Ok. What can you do? They called to arrange the delivery time, but then called back two days later to let me know they hadn't delivered the furniture to the shipment site in time; they'd have to rearrange delivery...for August. On a Friday. When I'm at work.

To compensate me, they'll pay me back the money they already collected 2 months ago for shipping the bed they never shipped. $150. I mentioned that Wayfair will deliver furniture in mere days. That I order from Article, in CANADA, and get my items more quickly and with better customer service. Overstock.com gets my items to me in less than a week. That they could HIRE A GUY WITH A TRUCK AND PAY HIM TO DELIVER MY PIECE, as this is their mistake and, at this point, is pretty egregious. My advice, buy from a competitor. One last thing, at on-line check out it says they will charge you 50% deposit and the rest when it ships. They charged 100% in full on the day of the transaction.

Purchase a couch and an ottoman August 2017 waiting patiently for delivery November 2017. Lost our ottoman, damaged delivery. Customer service at the Costa Mesa store had different stories on where the ottoman went. First it was lost, then they found it, then it was all of a sudden going to delivery. Upon delivery the ottoman was damaged (always inspect your delivery). Customer services wanted us to retain the ottoman that was damaged. Not sure why they would want their customer to retain damaged products. Very disappointed, and unsatisfied with Customer Service.

We purchased an Aidan leather sofa from C&B three years ago for $4255 expecting a quality product. What we got was far from quality. First, the leather color was nowhere near the swatch we picked at the store but we accepted that. Now, with 3 years of very light use the leather has stretched out because the foam in the cushions and arms compressed. It feels now like you are sitting in a bucket and the arms have lost their shape. We called the Salt Lake City store where we purchased the sofa. We also sent them pictures and detailed the problem. They said they would contact the vendor and share our concerns to see if anything could be done. C&B just contacted us and we were told that the vendor said this is "normal" wear and it is not a problem.

We have purchased many sofas in our lives and we've never had a sofa where the cushions collapsed. Our continued complaint was met with basically "your problem not ours". Clearly in this situation C&B does not stand behind their product. We will never do business this them again and will urge everyone we know and hopefully everyone who reads this review to think very carefully before purchasing furniture from them as the quality of their products could be questionable.

They initiate and confirm delivery when the item has not yet left the warehouse and then cancel the day of the delivery, while you are sitting at home waiting. They actually explain that they schedule and confirm deliveries based on estimates so that item doesn't sit in their warehouse. Got little more than an "Ooops" when I complained that I had taken a vacation day and had old furniture removed based on their confirmation of the delivery window.

We bought a bathroom vanity from Crate & Barrel. It didn't go through the bathroom door so we had to shave the door frame to get it inside. Our copper pipes for water connection are on the wall but this was made for floor connection. So we had to modify the inside to be able to connect it. A month later a crack appeared. Crate & Barrel contacted the vendor (they seem to think that they are not responsible) and the vendor claimed that since we put handles the guarantee was void. The handles were put because it is impossible to open the doors of the vanity without them. It is not made for US market. The crack has nothing to do with the handles. They sold us a $1300 junk. It is compressed cardboard with vinyl covering. We also bought a bed from them which came 2 inches too long. Do not patronize this company...

Unless this company completely revamps their delivery service they will go out of business. These are the days of Amazon, where you don't have to wait 6 weeks, then wait another 2 weeks once it's in the warehouse to get a delivery day, then not be able to schedule a time slot, then have the time slot not work for you and have to wait another two weeks for a new delivery day. It has been over 2 months and now the new time slot again doesn't work for me. Rather than wait two more weeks I now have to pay someone to be at my house. This is absurd. No other company operates like this. I hope they go out of business. I will NEVER buy anything from this company again.

Because the item has too many little pieces, which was unpractical for me, my husband and I decided to return it the next business day (the gift was purchased on Friday afternoon and we wanted to return it on Monday that's two days later). Cherry Hill NJ Crate & Barrel Store refused to accept the return without a reason. Be aware that unlike many other stores that carry exactly the same items, this chain refuses returns based on the excuse that the item is used.

In our case, we didn't even have time to try it, yet they used the same excuse. I called the customer service multiple times, chatted online. I found their customer service very unprofessional as well. They are not serious and don't value the customer. They sent us to the store after writing to the CEO for store credit. The store refused to give the credit despite the case number the CEO has given. I will never shop from Crate & Barrel because of their unreasonable customer service. Every step of the customer service irritates you so that you give up on your rights. Very cheap attitude behind its upper scale and deceiving look. Please be aware customers!

It is a stark contrast to the bottom floor, as they are always very helpful and greet you with a smile. That said, I found two employees talking in a huddle and approached them for assistance. It felt as though I encroached on their very important discussion. I was informed the item I wanted was located at the warehouse and it would be delivered to the store for a Tuesday pick up.

By Tuesday late afternoon, I called to find out what the status was. I was informed that I misunderstood and deliveries are never received on Tuesday and I just need to wait for them to call me and no specific day on when that would happen. Seriously? How about..."We are terribly sorry you were given a specific date. Let me call the warehouse and find out when they plan to deliver it. I will follow up with you in 24 hours". Purchased Axis ll Queen Sleeper Lounger in custom color. Salesperson was knowledgeable and patient in helping me choose custom fabric and color. Went downhill from there. Customer support was abrasive, incompetent and frustrating, causing much wasted time and a negative overall experience. Got a text listing a number to call and schedule delivery. After being on hold for a while was told I had to call the store instead as the purchase was not made online. Perhaps the text should have listed the store number? Store person who picked up the call was rude and dismissive, insurance documentation follow-up was time-consuming and required multiple emails and calls. When I received a call and email from the delivery company, they were equally rude and incompetent.

Though I told salesperson, and everyone else I spoke to after that delivery had to happen between certain hours per my building requirements, they scheduled and showed up whenever they felt like it. Driver whined and complained about everything, elevator wasn't big enough, light fixtures in the hallway was an issue. My sofa cushions were thrown in the building hallway on a dirty furniture blanket. There are over 800 luxury apartments in my building. How is it that their furniture fits in their apartments and my movers did not have one ounce of issues with bigger furniture? Guessing they were fishing for a sympathy tip or trying to justify their delayed delivery time for the day.

Sofa is okay, not worth the $3,600 spent. Love the color and fabric and while I expected firm, I ended up with cushions that feel like one is sitting on a board as there's a bed underneath which was not the case when I tried it at the store. Sigh, never will I ever purchase any furniture from Crate and Barrel ever again. They put on a facade of providing quality furniture and service when in fact they're a very low quality provider. At the end of the day it's just a piece of furniture so it's not worth the aggravation and frustration. Crate and Barrel's CEO and Management should be fired.

We went to Crate & Barrel in 2014 and purchased a sectional sofa, leather chair & ottoman, side chair, media cabinet, dining table, & six upholstered chairs. Yup, it was a lot...we'd never bought furnishings all at once like that. Mostly we got the choices we wanted except for the dining chairs. I wanted a bench seat and had planned for a built-in banquette for the other side. They had the bench I liked on display. But foolishly we allowed ourselves to fall for the hard-sell of oversized upholstered (i.e. very expensive) high backed chairs. Yes they were beautiful and comfy but totally not practical with kids and cats!!!!! My mistake. I own that.

Then there were numerous failings with items in that purchase upon the initial delivery: the media cabinet was warped on top, the side chair had an iron support spearing out the back that gouged my wall, the leather chair and ottoman were mismatched dye lots, the sectional had a cushion that was mis-sewn, spewing feathers, and the second leather chair had a scrape in it that looked like it had been made with a careless box-cutter - at least I knew enough to refuse delivery on the obvious flaws and the others were eventually replaced. So we took that as a good sign, but should have realized that all those flaws and being oversold those chairs was actually just the opposite.

We went back to Crate & Barrel to turn what was a mother-in-law suite into a media room for our teenage boys now that their grandmother had passed. It's not a huge room and we made that explicitly clear upon arrival in the store that we needed an apartment size sofa. I had the room measurements with us and all of the sofas were too long. A saleswoman showed us one that was up against a wall and at 88" would just fit. We sat on it and felt that it wasn't extra deep and looked at other possibilities including the area rug it was sitting on. It took a long time to get a salesperson who was able to arrange the sale and we again went over our needs and the issues with the odd size & shape of the room and the need for small scale furniture. We ordered the sofa and were disappointed to learn of the 3 month delivery wait.

Three and a half weeks later we had painted and prepared the room and were pacing out the new furniture when I looked up the sofa online for the exact dimensions. I could not believe that this supposedly small sofa was 43" deep and called the salesman. His immediate response was, "Well yes, it's an oversized piece." I was dumbfounded. How did we come in for an apartment size sofa and wind up ordering an oversized piece? We had sat on it, it was not extra deep. "No, the extra space is behind the cushion in the frame." he said. But, it was up against the wall, we wouldn't have seen that. We had reviewed over and over the room dimensions with them, (it's an L shape) how did they think this was what we were looking for? There was no way this sofa will fit in that room with anything else.

The salesman said he would see what his manager would do. Then the runaround began. All the manager did was reiterate their policy that we were responsible for 50% of the $3700 cost of the sofa. I searched and searched their products online and eventually found they actually did sell an apartment size 'Davis' sofa that was only 78" long and 36" deep which would have been the perfect item for us in the first place. I told them we would be fine with swapping for the smaller sofa and then applying the additional monies to something else, so not expecting a refund or reimbursement.

Plus it means we would have to start the 12 week clock all over again but at least we would wind up with something we could use. I reminded them how we stood by them after six of the items we purchased were damaged or flawed and still came back to their store. If that doesn't define a good customer what does? The manager said she had to talk to her boss, because our sofa was almost ready to deliver! I was surprised since it isn't due until mid-May but no, she insisted it's nearly complete and we are obligated to purchase it or lose 50% of the cost.

After three consults with the boss, the manager offered to reduced our commitment to 30% of the price or $1,110 which she thought was a huge concession... despite the fact that they will turn around and resell that $3700 sofa and keep $1110 of our money too. Needless to say we can't afford to donate $1110 to Crate & Barrel and will have to go through with the purchase of the sofa. I called today to find out when it will be delivered since she had said it was almost ready. The girl looked it up on the computer and said it is still scheduled for mid-May delivery!! They lie. They cheat. They tried to steal. Shop elsewhere. There are too many furniture stores with excellent Customer Service to give C&B a dime.

We ordered a discount dresser from Crate & Barrel King of Prussia store. It was a final sale. Two days later, the site manager simply "informed" us the piece of furniture was broken by their mover. There is nothing they can do about it. Since it is a floor sample, all they can do is to "cancel" the order, and let us order a brand new one (which is two times more expensive). I understood this might be the reasonable solution. But, the way that manager talked really pissed me off. Her attitude was like "Don't you know about human error?" So what? NO sincere apology at all. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. She even implied that "if you are pissed off, then don't ever buy from Crate & Barrel anymore." What kind of retailer professional is like that??

This review was for one of the sofa from CB. Very soft cushions and great fabric. However, it wasn't so comfortable "sitting down" on it as there was lack of upper back and neck support. It was pretty comfortable for couple hours "lying down" on it. I only used it for about a week with my friend, but cushions were getting too soft in couple areas already showing some wrinkles and wear already unless I shake them vigorously. I was sure that this sofa wouldn't be so "presentable" after using for about a year, so I wanted to return it as I don't want to spend this much for a sofa that will just last an year. I thought return pick up is included in the delivery fee, as there was no information regarding a return pick up cost anywhere on the returns/exchange policy. Well, there is a $99 return pick up fee. In addition, there could be a restocking fee that starts at 25% of the cost of the sofa.

If the sofa is not in a good condition after using it for a week, then it's customer's fault? All I did was use the sofa with my friend watching a TV for one week! I called them twice regarding this issue, but both times, agents said a furniture specialist will give me a callback. It's been couple days, they haven't called me or left me a voice message. At the end, I didn't want to even call them again, as the waiting time is more than an hour, and they won't call you back. I emailed them too, no reply yet. It's been couple days. Anyway, at the end, I gave up on trying to reach them about this issue and decided to never deal with Crate and Barrel related companies for good for obvious customer service issues. I tried to post this review, but CB denied it by saying "Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines." I'm done.

When they informed me that the date had been pushed back, they gave no explanation. I had to email them back and ask why it was being delayed. They did not provide a discount or other compensation. In all honesty, if custom items weren't non-refundable, I probably would have cancelled my order at that point.

When the item was ready for delivery I selected a delivery date and they said I would get a call 2 days in advance with the time window. They also said that if I needed to reschedule, I had to do so at least 3 days in advance to avoid a rescheduling fee of $39 or so. There were no issues with the delivery time but I have to say that it is absolutely ridiculous to expect me to cancel/reschedule prior to knowing the time of delivery. To me this is just another indication of their poor service. As for the delivery itself, their movers broke a light fixture in my living room while carrying the item in. Since I ended up canceling my furniture order, this review addresses customer service and business practices rather than product quality. I placed an online order for an in-stock desk and a small "X-bench" that would sit under it. The bench was an "in-stock-plus" item, meaning that it was a stock piece with a custom fabric top. When I received no follow-up from the company -- for days, I contacted them online. I got a reply telling me I must "confirm" my fabric choice (had, in fact, done so when I ordered) and should contact a store. Got a snippy employee who was no help, so I phoned their central number (not a physical store, but apparently a phone center), and got another rude person. Was told that the "in stock plus" bench was nine weeks out! Nine weeks, and they did not bother to tell me that when I ordered?

They were going to hold the in-stock desk for more than two months so that a small item, which could have been sent UPS, could go in the truck with it? Don't you think this might be a good thing to tell customers when they order, C&B? Other companies sell versions of the X-bench, and they ship them in a box, by UPS or FedEx. I cancelled the bench order and was going to proceed with the desk delivery, but when I asked for an adjustment on the delivery fee (for the cancelled bench) I was told it was a flat fee for all items.

Given that I had been charged more than the advertised $99 flat fee, and considering how I had been treated, I decided to cancel the desk as well. I cannot support companies with such poor business practices and such disrespectful employees. Having read the complaints here about C&B's poor quality control for furniture, I think that I may have dodged a bullet, so maybe it's a good thing this happened. But heads up on ordering anything semi-custom from C&B. I have received FULLY custom furniture in less than nine weeks from far better sources than Crate and Barrel.

I have furniture that is over 10 years old and looks brand new. It is definitely not me who "Abused" these sofas, it is the cheap material that Crate and Barrel used that makes these sofas so terrible. These sofas were not cheap, so I feel cheated in every way. I am definitely never buying from Crate and Barrel again. There are plenty companies who take better care of their customers.

I, also, ordered a diner set off of the gift registry. I also asked for (and paid for) the gift box option. It arrived promptly, and as the shower was not for several weeks, I just set it aside. Several days later, I received another box from Crate and Barrel. I set this aside also, assuming they have sent me the appropriate gift box for the set. I wish I had read the recent reviews. This week (a week before the shower) I opened the shipping boxes. The first shipment was indeed in a gift box, the second contained the salad plates that went with the set, wrapped in paper and and bubble wrap. No way to add it the the gift box. How is this in any way acceptable. Yes, they refunded the ($5.50) gift box charge, but I had ordered it to save me time and now I was forced to run out and get yet another box for the plates, wrap it, etc. Foolish me for having trusted Crate and Barrel. Should have stuck with Bed Bath and Beyond.

I ordered a 16 piece dinnerware set and two 8 piece wine glass sets off the registry for shower gifts. They arrived in one giant box all individually wrapped. I placed a call and was told I should have chosen the "gift option" to get them put in one box as sets for an additional charge. Why would I choose a gift option if I am ordering a set? A set normally comes packaged in a box. They refused to send me boxes. I now have to travel one hour to the nearest store to get boxes that will fit the sets. Very disappointing and angry. No solution, just "sincere apologies". I have never had such poor customer service.

It seems that this is a chronic problem with Crate and Barrel. I ordered a love seat that was to take 8/10 weeks for delivery but to 4 MONTHS. I called many times asking about the delay and was always given the runaround. I finally received a reply after several calls and a couple of months, that the manufacturer ran out of the fabric. I was told that I would be compensated once delivery was accepted. When the love-seat arrived, it was wrinkled and had a stain in the back. Since I was frustrated and desperately in need of seating, I didn't even check it until the delivery people left. Needless to say, there was no compensation, not even a phone call checking to see if everything was okay.

Mid March I emailed customer service, who in turn reached out to the Short Hills, NJ store manager where I purchased it two times and I still have not heard anything. My advice, go to Pottery Barn. Their floor staff may not be as polite but they care about customer satisfaction and retention. I will never buy anything at Crate & Barrel again, and since I just purchased a new house, there are many things on my shopping list. Kind of a pretty woman moment, "BIG MISTAKE... HUGE MISTAKE, I HAVE TO GO SHOPPING NOW!!!"

My husband bought a chair from Crate & Barrel, not only he had to drive to a different warehouse which is 45 min away from their retail store, but when he opened up the packaging, he realized the chair that he had pick up was all scratched up and had marks all over. Looks like one of the returned item, he contacted Crate & Barrel about the issue, did a whole bunch of explaining and complaining, they said they would have a courier deliver a new chair and pick up the damaged chair on a specific date and time. Of course, no one showed up. When my husband called them, the delivery guy said he will be here in 15 min, of course that didn't happen and now my husband is so fed up that he swear he will never buy anything from Crate & Barrel again. It's really too bad that Crate & Barrel don't do a better job of managing their stock from front to back, warehousing and delivery. They do carry some very nice items.

This is the review I posted yesterday, which still hasn't shown up on the Crate and Barrel web page for this item (even though my review submission was confirmed): I purchased two Sterling 87 Tall Cabinets a couple of years ago. This past September, the glass panel on the right side spontaneously shattered on one of the cabinets. I contacted Crate and Barrel, and they gave me the run around. First I was told someone would contact me to replace the cabinet (they never called back), then I was told it was out of warranty so the best they could do was offer me free shipping on a new one. Meaning I'd have to fork over another $1000. I was able to get the glass replaced for $80 + labor through a friend.

Now the glass panel on the left side of the same cabinet has also shattered. This is not only hazardous (it's safety glass, but little slivers sprinkled on the floor as the cracking progressed, and removing the glass exposes lots of shards that have to be cleaned up), but it's been inconvenient and expensive. It also suggests poor quality standards - either the glass is inferior, or cut to the wrong size, or both. I'm no longer a Crate and Barrel customer.

I ordered a couch and chair in mid October 2015. My delivery was scheduled to be received by January 6th. I called to confirm pending delivery. They now tell me that my furniture may be delivered sometime in February. I will never purchase furniture from Crate and Barrel again. I never received a call regarding the delay in delivery and the vagueness of a future delivery date leaves me with absolutely no faith regarding a delivery date. I contacted corporate Crate and Barrel and received an apology with no solution.

Placed an order 3 weeks ago for Christmas decorations. To date, still waiting and tried calling just to wait on hold for 30 minutes. Finally tired of waiting I hung up and checked my order today only to see it say still processing. I sent several emails with no response and the credit card has been charged. According to laws in CT a credit card is not supposed to be charged until the item is ready for shipping unless it's a special order. Hmmm... I just don't think this company cares.

I ordered a couch in early September and was told that it would be delivered by the end of October. It is now mid-December and I am being told that it will not be here until after the holiday season. The updated delivery date is sometime in January now. I did not receive notification by phone or e-mail that there would be these substantial delays. I ended up calling and following up myself; only to be given no explanation for the many delays, and no attempt to address the huge inconvenience. There is absolutely no excuse for the complete lack of communication and accountability. I would advise buyers to stay away from this company and go with Pottery Barn.

I feel as though I have been given the run around with Crate and Barrel furniture order. I placed the order on September 6th and they told me 10 - 12 weeks. It's now December 7th and they still don't have my order. Their explanation, "Don't forget about Thanksgiving." and "We are allowed to take a vacation after all." You can't be serious. Note to Crate and Barrel - be honest and upfront with your customers, period, end of story. I will never, ever buy furniture from you again and I will absolutely never recommend you to a friend or colleague. Get it together over there! Thank you for your time.

I just want everyone to be aware of Crate & Barrel shipping charges. They are fairly excessive. They charge separate shipping for lots of the different items so the shipping charges all add up. Most other vendors have a minimum purchase amount for which they charge no shipping was, something like $50 or $75. However Crate & Barrel shipping charges on my recent order of $164 $21.95! I tried to discuss it with their customer service department through email but after several exchanges, they basically didn't care.

Ordered Axis II Sectional. Waited a little over two months for it to be delivered. That was expected since they did inform me it was a custom color/fabric and would take longer. So during the time I was waiting, I noticed the sectional went on sale. I called customer service and was given the Sale Discount, no problem. Closer to delivery date, I noticed the credit that I received for the sale discount re-appeared on my credit card as a charge. I called and was told that the way their screwy billing system works was in order to ship a certain part of my sectional, they had to re-bill the credit card. But once I received product, I will receive the initial credit back on card. Weird, I thought, but we will see.

Received sectional, and surprise, no credit. I disputed this with my credit card company after I spoke to 3 representatives at Crate and Barrel, all of who had NO IDEA why I was re-charged the credit and said they had to research this and would call me back with an answer. Well no surprise, no call back. Credit card company later said the rebuttal from Crate and Barrel was I DO owe the amount??? I sent credit card company all my proof of the credit I was due, including the invoice from Crate and Barrel clearly showing (in black and white) the credit amount I was supposed to receive.

Called credit card company back asking WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED??? It's clear I was supposed to received x amount of dollars, indicating on their invoice, and I have been charged x amount of dollars instead??? I don't get it. Credit card co. calls C&B (has to call me back due to excessive wait time). Called back an hour later with C&B Rep conferenced in. C&B Rep says: "I'm sorry, this is not the correct dept. for handling this. You need furniture dept. I have to transfer you and there will be a wait time". Credit card Rep: "Do you know approx. how long?" C&B Rep: "Have no idea. Please hold". Wait time was 48 minutes... Will comment on resolution once I receive one. Has anyone sued C&B? Might there be some sort of class action going on? How would one go about doing that?

They continue to send me catalogs every month. I call and requested no more catalogs but it falls on deaf ears. They really don't seem to care what you ask them to do. I will not ever buy anything from them again because of their poor customer service when making a request.

My husband and I went to a store located in Florida. The store is beautifully put together. We found a a table and had it delivered. In two weeks, the table arrived cracked. So we ordered the cracked top to be replaced with new one. Following week, the new one came with a big chunky part of the top fallen off from the main body of the top. They did't seem to take it seriously. Several weeks later we decide to give the store one more chance. We went there and ordered another table and a book case. 3 weeks later we opened the box and found two shelves broken. I mean, seriously, This company has the worst quality. Those products only look good outside, but after dealing with going back and forth, we had enough. We are canceling table and the problematic book case. We are not going to bother to have any business with them.

I loved the look of the Sierra King Bed, but have had problems since day one with its quality. I noticed the headboard wobbling in the showroom and discussed this with the sales rep. He got some people to work on it and it seemed to tighten right up. I bought it and many MONTHS later it was delivered. The headboard was wobbling. I told the installers. They tried to fix but said I should report it on the customer satisfaction phone call the next day and they will repair it. I did this and got no response. The other day I moved the bed two inches to plug in a lamp and the other side cracked. Now the whole headboard is extremely unstable. I called customer service the moment I noticed it. They said they would check with their suppliers about what to do and they would call me back that day or the next.

Four days later I call back and they still do not have an answer for me. When I called on a Saturday evening, I was amazed to get a human who answered. Unfortunately, he was not customer service, but said "he would be happy to put a callback request for me". I said yes, please do that, but I am sure I'll have to call back anyway. I was right. They still have not called back (it is Monday), and the wait time for a callback is over 38 minutes. Customer service is a joke. Very disappointed with this whole experience. Will never buy from C&B again... Oh, and if you write a bad review on their website, they do not publish it. No wonder all the reviews are glowing.

I bought two of the C Era side table a few years ago and loved the way they look until... The top started sliding off to reveal the double sticky tape that was holding it in place all these years! Such a disappointment! Several thumbs down for Crate and Barrel customer service that will NOT take responsibility for their product! Would NOT buy again or recommend to anyone. For the $299 price plus shipping and tax it is just NOT acceptable. Better buy a table from HomeGoods for less. When I posted this review on their website they would NOT publish it of course!! How rude!
