    This company is horrible, they steal your money and their app is not accurate, long short story I was trying to pay off the account and they added thousands of dollars out of nowhere saying I was making my payments for the principal not the monthly payments which is not true. Do not go there. You will see a hurt on your finances. Try other bank when financing. They will always charge you lots of money out of nowhere. If I can get legal advise so I can give my story will be helpful so I can stop this company from stealing its clients.

    Sebastian from Toyota Financial Services is probably the best thing that has happened to this company in a long time!! It takes absolutely forever to get ahold of someone & then when you finally do it’s as if these people are not trained correctly or simply just don’t care to actually help you find a solution. It’s hard to come across someone who knows how to directly get to a solution. This man deserves a raise or bonus or something for his fast, efficient, professional demeanor. He got my situation handled within the first 5 minutes of being on call with him. When I called the first time it took so many avenues to come to a solution that was going to take way longer than it had to. I decided to call back because the solution given to me the first time seemed too complicated when it was Toyota who messed to begin with not me! The laziness of most employees that come from this company are beyond me. Moral of it all, glad I called back & got placed with someone who actually knows what they’re doing. This company can only pray to have more employees like Sebastian. ID #** for reference.

    Toyota Financial Services does not report to credit bureau if it's a commercial loan. $80,000 we paid them over 6 years on 2 consecutive loans with no "credit" for it in anyway. TFS has hurt our Church in an immeasurable way. Without proof of 2 paid vehicles through TFS we're stuck either doing business with TFS or not at all. Scam, fraud don't come close to taking advantage of a Church.

    This company will rob you if they can. We are owed a little over $6,000 from a gap claim. And instead of paying us the legal amount. They want to charge us instead for a little over $200. They know the cost of an attorney would evaporate what they owe. Avoid this company at all costs.

    TFS is a predatory lender. Their online payment system is ran entirely on AI with zero options for human interaction and they are currently committing a felony against our non-profit organization by not applying payments made accurately to our account in the amount of $1,200+ dollars of Church funds.

    I bought a 2021 C-HR for my daughter in 2021, it was brand new. I make every payment like clockwork. Tonight 4-9-25 at 9:15 pm a tow truck showed up to repo it and scratched it hooking up to it. I showed the guy my receipt where it was paid 4-5-25 and he said "ok". unhooked the car and left. I won’t buy another Toyota. They will rip you off.

    I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Toyota Financial Services. I called to request payoff information with the intention of trading in my current Toyota for a new one, as I truly love my Toyota vehicle. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. I spoke with a representative named Darwin (ID #**), and he was not only unhelpful but downright rude. He ended the call abruptly by hanging up on me, leaving me without the information I needed. This level of customer service is completely unacceptable, especially when I’m a loyal Toyota customer hoping to continue doing business with the company. If customer service is important to you, I would strongly urge you to reconsider before choosing Toyota Financial Services. Based on my experience, I will be looking elsewhere for my next vehicle purchase. Disappointed and frustrated.

    Terrible experience. 3 weeks trying to update bank info... Alberni Toyota won't help... Online is all do it yourself... Then it's a week to have the paper processed and another few days to take payment... Then it will show you missed a payment when they are just lazy... because day 1 they get your commission... They get all your info set up... After that nobody cares... Oh and they text you every morning to remind you that a payment is missed but they can't get the money ... only text about it... Too many people letting computers do their job... May choose a Honda next time.

    Would STRONGLY DISCOURAGE anyone from financing your vehicle purchase thru a loan with Toyota Financial Services! Had a loan with them for my 2020 4Runner. Last payment made this month. Called to ask when I'd get title and confirm loan acct will be closed out only to be told that since I'm on auto-pay with monthly payment they will continue to take my money even after loan paid off, and never answered my question as to when I'd get my title. They told me the only way to stop the monthly auto payments was to go to my online acct myself with personal computer and turn off "recurring payment." WHAT A SCAM AND SO ILLEGAL!!! Not sure why they have a financing dept staff if I have to do their work for them. Never in all my yrs having loans with banks or other dealerships has this ever happened. BEWARE!!!

    GAP is a scam. I had a GAP claim that I attempted to file for weeks, diligently calling and verifying that I was submitting the correct paperwork. Despite my efforts, the online system continuously showed missing documents with no clear guidance. Submitting documents online only allowed one copy. I kept being asked to turn in all 4. After multiple calls and wasted time, I was finally informed that I could fax the documents instead. I promptly did so. I then proceeded to pay off my vehicle completely out of pocket. After waiting yet again, I received a denial of my claim. The entire process had already been frustrating, riddled with miscommunication and incompetence. At that point, I simply wanted to be done with GAP. I attempted to cancel my policy, only to be denied—something I wasn’t informed about until three weeks later.

    I spent weeks waiting for responses, chasing down paperwork, and receiving little to no real assistance. In the end, canceling my claim meant taking a financial loss. I paid off my vehicle, and instead of GAP providing the protection it was supposed to, I end up losing money. This entire experience has been nothing short of a scam, with zero accountability or competence from GAP staff. I lose money by paying off my vehicle and lose money on the amount GAP keeps.

    When Toyota Financials sends us our Billing Statement, it does NOT say that if you mail your payment, it might take 2 weeks for them to receive. They don't even consider Holidays, etc. We bought the car recently. Although, we mailed our car payment way before the deadline, they've charged us LATE FEES twice so far. They claim that they received it after the deadline! I am suspicious that they've planned that way: When to send the statement & when to receive the payment. How come the Post Office delivers Xmas cards within 2 or 3 days during busy time of the year, but when it comes to Toyota, it takes them a few weeks to deliver?

    I will start by stating I overpay, never miss payments and can pay off the loan if I wanted to. With that said. I have financed several vehicles in my lifetime and have never been treated so poorly by any company. Toyota lied about many things to get my business and CHANGED major DETAILS AFTER signing for the vehicle. I have been overcharged more than once. They have taken money out of my account WITH NO AUTHORIZATION AT ALL and have REFUSED to refund the money they took without permission. At the time they took the money, I was 4 payments AHEAD and overpaid by 2.5k intentionally.

    There was zero reason for what they have done. I called their number to cancel the payment, which they REFUSED. I insisted because they took that payment on their own after I had already made the monthly payment earlier that day. Nothing was overdue, they just felt like they should get EXTRA money for nothing. Now I am going to be evicted from my home because they took/stole money from me WITHOUT PERMISSION.

    I traded my car in October. I called and gave them my new address. They started sending like credit checks out. I got 2 of them at my address. So I’ve been waiting for my GAP check since then. I called multiple times to check on it, they said it should be here soon. I called first of January and they said they sent to old address. How come, when the checks before it came to the new address so they said they would resend it but end of January and still not here. I’m really not going to get my money I guess. The customer service was nice. I guess being nice while lying to you is easy.

    Tried to sell car privately from a lease, several reps I spoke to said this could be done. I filled out the paperwork they sent (Toyota Financial) and sent a cashier's check. They asked me to fill these forms out two additional times and in the end sent the title to the wrong person and wrong address. I know they had the right address on file since it was a higher tax location and I was paying more at the current address. In the end this became a three month long process and was almost a grand more than it should have been. I hope I never need to deal with Toyota Financial again.

    Absolutely terrible Phone payment system now as they want your SS# AND your long acct #. Who has that on them! Tried the App and can never log in. Every month is a challenge to make payment. 👎 It almost feels intentional.

    I attempted to pay off my car loan with Toyota Financial Services (TFS) on August 13, 2024, by sending in a check. However, at the beginning of September, I received a notification that I was behind on a loan payment. Concerned, I contacted Toyota Financial to inquire about the situation. During my call, a representative from TFS informed me that they had not received my check and that I needed to make a payment to avoid late fees.

    Initially, Toyota had informed me that they received the check, had processed my loan to a zero balance, and had released the lien on the title. However, about 30-40 days later (around September 23), after the check had been sent, they reestablished the loan and indicated that the payoff was not processed as originally agreed. Following this, I cancelled the check.

    M&T Bank has documented evidence showing that the payment was made. It appears that there was internal miscommunication at Toyota Financial, as one department reported receiving the payment while another did not. I have made multiple attempts to reach out to Toyota's customer service through my loan account, but their response was dismissive, only stating that I was behind on my payments. They provided no further assistance or clarification.

    After this incident, I received the free and clear title to the car about two weeks later, but despite this, I continued to face issues when trying to resolve the situation. I called Toyota multiple times, trying to pay off the loan for the original amount I had sent in August, minus the most recent payments. However, Toyota informed me that the payoff amount had increased and they would need to seek approval to potentially forgive the additional interest. This response was unacceptable to me, as there was no guarantee they would do so, and I felt Toyota was mishandling the situation. Their actions were damaging my credit, and I lost confidence in Toyota Financial Services' ability to resolve the issue fairly and competently.

    On December 13, I attempted to reach out again, but once again, I was met with unreasonable responses. TFS insisted that I allow the check to go through their process, which could take several months. I believe this is an unfair and unreasonable delay—especially given that any legitimate car loan service should be able to process a payoff within 30 days. It feels like I am being extorted for the additional interest by Toyota Financial Services, which is unacceptable.

    I have continued to make payments in September, October, November, and December, but I am still accruing interest, which is frustrating and unjust considering the error was on Toyota's part. Therefore, I am requesting that Toyota allow me to pay off the loan for the amount I initially attempted to pay in August and waive any interest that has accrued since then due to their mistake.

    If Toyota Financial Services continues to make things difficult, I will consider taking further action to regain ownership of the car without additional payments. I am questioning their legal claim to the loan or the vehicle, especially since they released the title to me. At this point, their behavior is more reminiscent of a coercive organization, not a legitimate financial service. They are preventing me from paying off my loan, damaging my credit, and jeopardizing my job due to my security clearance. I am seeking assistance to help resolve this matter and to investigate how many other individuals Toyota Financial Services may be mistreating with either their incompetence or what feels like extortion.

    There is a credit servicing agency for mortgage companies that somehow are asked to reach out to Toyota Financial to give credit information They call you and conference you in. Toyota financial rep did a cursory “consent” that doesn’t really specify what type of information is provided to the credit reporting agency except “call is recorded“, “do I have the permission“ and then gives information that one would rather not get revealed to the credit reporting agency. They do it anyways and it’s humiliating and embarrassing. When redirected to give just the necessary information, they get snippy and when I request a supervisor that clearly boundaries are crossed, they say “it will take 2 business days“ or something in those lines, these staff have no respect for privacy of financial information for their clients. Had a terrible experience today.

    While it’s great to have a lease option this company fails at everything surrounding your lease! First off paying your bill is an utter nightmare for everyone it seems getting logged on is a huge hassle resetting info each time. Secondly and the reason I am returning to the dealership for another option is my spouse passed away, I have contacted Toyota Financial every month for four months now because the state I live in requires a letter to have my deceased spouse's name taken off the CTA to register my car. Absolutely NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE AND I AM UNABLE TO REGISTER MY CAR! These bean counters have shuffled me off stating it will be done yet when I call each month thus far 7 calls 45 minutes a call I get NOWHERE! I am DONE WITH TOYOTA FINANCIAL.

They received a check from my insurance company JULY 23 2024 and I have yet to receive the reimbursement check for the extra payment that was made. It is November 23, officially 4 months later. Once again I was told another 2-3 weeks. I feel like this is fraud!

    My car is currently leased through their company. Their website is a total time waster. You can never log in. Something is always wrong. I have the hardest time reaching anyone with customer service and overall just a horrible experience. With Toyota being a big company you think that they would be able to do better. Paying my bill monthly leaves me with anxiety and is a huge hassle. I am currently looking to refinance to get out of this nightmare.

    0 stars. I don't recommend Toyota Financial to my worst enemy. I hit a deer and totaled my car over a month ago and the customer service on the phone is OK, but the whole operation of Toyota Financial is terrible. My insurance sent out the payment for my car 3 weeks ago and they keep telling me their payment processing is backed up. The woman said she's not supposed to give me a time frame for the payment to be processed but she said it will take another 30-45 days. I work 45 minutes away and this is just absolutely the worst time in my life. I'll probably end up losing my job pretty soon because I can't afford to book any more hotels or rides to get to work. It is the most frustrating, depressing situation I have ever been through thanks to Toyota. Please do yourself a favor and go through a bank or credit union.

    A complete joke. Inept phone reps. Almost 2 months and warranty refund checks did not process so payment stopped. Back to square one. They received 3 new checks and still waiting for processing. Bottom line is they are useless. No way to direct email them. If only they were as dependable as their cars. Seek financing elsewhere.

    I was never sent a title (finance company holds it per New Jersey regs.) in 2008 when I paid off my loan. Now, 2024 New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission won't process a clear title without a lien release. When I called Toyota, I wasn't even in the system anymore. Tax returns only need to be held for 7 years, why State of New Jersey thinks I can still get a title release is beyond me. Tried the dealer, no help there. Called Toyota again, now they will send the title release via snail mail. Meanwhile, I've already traded the car so the dealer has to wait. I doubt this missing title/lien release letter will show up. Not buying a Toyota again.

    I would give 0 stars if I could. Sent my insurance claim check to them September 18th for endorsement. Quoted a 7-10 business day turnaround time. It is now OCTOBER 22nd and no one can tell me where my check is!!!

    This company "DOES NOT" deserve a star. This is by far the "WORST" financial company there is! They hound customers down for payments then when customers pay, they pretend to not have received payments. I paid over $700 and they're telling me my payment has been cashed!!! How?? How do y'all know this but claim to have never received anything? Ya'll are responsible for payments received. I feel as though I have been scammed by these people & my $755 needs to come up asap! Now they're trying to take my vehicle that I paid for but won't return my $755 they claimed to never received!!!! NO SIR....

    I suggest Toyota Financial Services hire more people in their finance department in TX. It cannot be difficult to hire someone to data capture all the payment checks received!! My insurance company paid Toyota Financial Services eight weeks ago because my vehicle was totaled in an accident, I am still receiving notices to say I am overdue on my payments and Toyota Financial Services owes me over $1100 now. I need to purchase another vehicle and I need this money. I have called the customer services line many times, all they say is that they are short staffed and the check has been received. Some of the customer services agents are quite rude as well (I was not rude, just asked about my account being handed over to debt collectors). Come on Toyota, you are making a lot of money and you should be paying us interest on the money you owe us.

    I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Toyota Financial Services. I sold my car to Carfax on July 30th, and they promptly sent the check for the remaining balance to Toyota. However, Toyota Financial did not process the payment until three months later. This unreasonable delay resulted in Toyota falsely reporting missed payments and sending my account to collections. Despite the fact that the payment was sent on time, my credit score took a significant hit due to Toyota’s incompetence. Trying to resolve the situation has been a nightmare, with unhelpful customer service and no accountability for their mistakes. I expected better from Toyota, but this experience has completely shattered my trust in their financial services. Be cautious if you're considering financing through them—this could happen to you too.
