    SmartAsset is on an approved list of vendors with my broker dealer. Overall, my experience has been relatively straightforward. The quality of service has been as expected, meeting the estimates they originally provided.     My experience with SmartAsset's services has been a mixed bag. While I managed to secure a few client appointments, the overall yield hasn't met expectations. Over the past three months, I've received approximately 23 referrals. However, some clients explicitly requested not to be contacted, and others reported multiple calls due to their information being shared with multiple advisors.

    As a result, I've only been able to secure appointments with about four clients. A significant drawback is the competition among other advisors for the same leads, which undermines the exclusivity one might expect when paying $284 per lead. There is no reimbursement for unreachable leads, which adds to the frustration as it's challenging to contact leads immediately during other ongoing commitments.

    I started with a budget of $1500 a month, but due to the lack of returns, I've since reduced it to the minimum at $600, intending to cancel the service after my initial six months. Personally, I'd rate my overall experience with SmartAsset at a 2. The enthusiasm is somewhat dampened by the feeling of competing for shared leads and a low conversion rate from referrals to appointments.

    However, I must commend their customer service, deserving a full 5 stars. My account manager is responsive, and whenever I've reached out via email or phone, they've provided excellent support, showcasing stellar service. The customer service quality arguably contributes to retaining subscribers.

    Considering the cost, I would again rate it as a 2. Given the price per lead, the expectation is higher for more qualified and ready-to-engage referrals. Overall, my journey with SmartAsset has been a blend of highs in customer service and lows in lead generation effectiveness.

We find great value for our money. Notably, the software platform provided by SmartAsset for managing incoming leads is outstanding, and the customer support has been good.     I run an advisory firm and I started using SmartAsset in 2019. At the time, it worked well. However, my experience recently has not been great especially after a deal SmartAsset seem to have inked a deal with Fisher Investments. Everyone we talk to nowadays, even if we get the lead sent out to us same day and we pick them up as soon as we get them, they tell us SmartAsset sent them for someone from Fisher. Other than that, the process to communicate with SmartAsset is straightforward. They assigned us a representative who is responsive and friendly, always doing her best.

    The issue, however, has been around the consistency and timing of lead distribution. It's frustrating when leads are allegedly held and passed to competitors before reaching us. Despite these frustrations, SmartAsset remains a fallback in slower months. Our firm strives to maintain a 2-to-1 revenue ad spend return, which we manage due to high closing rates and thorough training. However, there have been several instances where leads feel like they've been rerouted or resold unjustly.

    In terms of transparency and what you're getting, SmartAsset is one of the best compared to other lead services like Zoe Financial and Dave Ramsey's services. Their business models tend to be less straightforward or irrelevant to our niche. However, they should address the concerns about the timings and the perception that some leads are favored or indiscriminately shared. Overall, my experience meets my foundational expectations, offering a reasonable starting point for those entering the industry. But exploring other marketing avenues yourself, like social media, can be just as effective if not more rewarding, without reliance on these services.

    I'm new to our firm and having learned that the guys in the office were using SmartAsset, I was particularly interested in exploring it as a source to generate some leads.
