    I was a new adviser looking for lead generation. Initially, I tried door knocking, but I found it quite challenging. Did it for a while. Had some success with both. Had a lot of things happen. I stuck with it because if we get one or two good clients off of that a year, it can be worth what you pay for some of those leads. Despite some communication challenges in the past, the new representative, Bailey, has been attentive to our specific needs, which I appreciate.

    We got a lot of leads. Working in the 250-to-million-dollar lead generation realm, you're probably looking at a conversion rate of 15% on clients. You have to know that going into it. That probably could be 30 or 40 if I paid attention to it. One area I see room for improvement is in data analysis regarding lead contact. There was a time when family emergencies and external events prevented me from contacting leads adequately, and I felt a better data tracking system could have provided valuable insights and flagged such issues. Bailey and I had a constructive discussion about this, and the situation has improved recently. I contemplated discontinuing the service earlier this year, but after a valuable conversation, I decided to persist.

In dealing primarily from Mesa, Arizona, leads often came from places like Prescott or Tucson, which prospective clients felt were distant. More locally-relevant leads—specifically in the Phoenix area—would better align with the expectations of potential clients desiring nearby financial advisors. On the positive side, my SmartAsset liaison, Anthony, remains a commendable resource, displaying responsiveness and flexibility during our meetings and through any modes of correspondence.

      While I appreciate the targeted approach we've developed—Anthony even tailored lead sources to focus on higher-net-worth but fewer in number by request—it's clear any perceived shortfall often ties back to my own allocation of time and client outreach action plans. Each fruitful outcome reminds me of the platform's potential, yet I acknowledge the critical nature of my personal input. Whatever I capture in overall satisfaction stems largely from purposeful coordination and giving appropriate time across platforms, turning high-net leads into potentially transformative deals for my practice.

      SmartAsset reached out to me and working with them seemed like a good idea to introduce my son to some new leads since he started working with me. As it turns out, from a lead standpoint, the service has been effective. However, for my son's experience, he needs to be more proactive in following up with those leads. Most of the leads provided by SmartAsset are genuine, although there are a few that seem questionable; but I don’t blame SmartAsset for that. My representative, Daniel, was in regular contact and SmartAsset offered occasional training and testimonials from satisfied users. This interaction was useful, though I often handled my own follow-up processes after the initial lead contact. Their tools, especially the integration with video emails, were among the best aspects, greatly enhancing lead interactions compared to other programs I've experienced.

      Working with SmartAsset was straightforward and organized. They set up a system for managing leads which helped streamline the process. Leads can be quite hit-or-miss, but overall, I haven't been dissatisfied. But I have decided not to renew when my current subscription ends because my son found a new job, and I feel confident in sustaining my business through referrals as I’ve been in the industry for 30 years now. If a colleague were to consider SmartAsset, my advice would be that the effort you put into engaging with the leads will largely determine your success. Their system delivers a substantial amount of leads, more than I initially expected, though the conversion rate varies.

      I initially learned about SmartAsset through my broker-dealer, as they got approved by them. My OSJ approached me because I've built my career and client base through various lead systems, some good, some bad. So, he knew I'd be interested in trying SmartAsset. The service through SmartAsset has been really good. What impresses me the most is the quality of the leads. They are ready to act when you meet with them, and they fall right into the range that I'm targeting. I've experienced terrible lead programs in the past, where appointments were fake or leads were poor, but that's not the case with SmartAsset.

      I believe SmartAsset is on the verge of being revolutionary in lead service. They need to make a few enhancements to their system. For instance, there should be an option to set a call-back option, not just an appointment. Sometimes when I call someone, situations arise that prevent an appointment, and it would be helpful if I could schedule a future call-back directly in their system. Having this feature would ensure I do not miss vital follow-ups. Moreover, adding a feature that integrates my current client base into the lead system could take their service to the next level. It would make SmartAsset more integral to the overall business model by becoming the go-to lead system for everything. I've had numerous discussions with SmartAsset about these potential features, and I'm hopeful they'll implement them soon.

      I received an email from a sales person at SmartAsset. We had a conference call, and I was interested to see how that works, so we decided to join and, so far, it's worked out very well. They generate certain articles with regard to finances. And if you have a question, then there's a questionnaire that goes out to the person that kind of clicked on that particular article. They provide us some information, and then SmartAsset figures out who's in within the mile radius that you've selected. Then they send you that information and then you begin to make some phone calls. The customer support has been okay. Certainly, anytime I need somebody, I send them an email and they send me a calendar invite or call me back, so it's been fine.

      I'd tell friends and family members who are looking for information with regard to their particular finances and questions that they may have, whether it be about investing or taxes or state planning, that SmartAsset's articles are very good. And then if they have further questions, they lead you to a financial advisor in their area. They give you 3 choices so you have the ability to really take a look and see who best fits your particular needs or character. What I’ve really liked best of all is they didn't oversell this. What they told us what we were going to get is exactly what we get and the results are much on target.

      We picked four companies and rolled the dice on them to see who was good and who wasn't. One of them ended up being great and the other three weren't that great. After two years of working with SmartAsset, we ultimately decided to terminate our agreement with them. I found that while the pricing seemed reasonable at the outset, it ultimately didn't meet our expectations, reinforcing the notion that a higher investment might be necessary for superior service. Overall, our experience didn't warrant continuation with them, and I'd only give them a two out of five given the outcomes we experienced.

      My decision to try SmartAsset came after discovering it as one of the few approved financial service providers through LPL Financial, the broker I use. The experience, while mostly positive, has been a bit mixed overall. The leads generated generally align with our desired client profile, albeit with a few misses here and there. It's been about three months since we started, and while initial results haven't blown us away, we're still evaluating its long-term effectiveness.

      The investment is a bit higher than anticipated, coming in at $2000 a month. I'm cautiously optimistic that time will reveal if this cost is justified in terms of business growth and quality of leads. As for customer service, there hasn't been much cause for frequent contact.       I was trying to grow my business and heard positive things about SmartAsset’s services. My experience has been quite positive as I'm already seeing a positive cash flow within the first year, accounting for the cost.

      Working with SmartAsset, the initial onboarding was very smooth. The team was communicative, informative, and responded in a timely manner. Although I've experienced some sluggish ongoing communication with my account manager, I've nonetheless received the support I need.

      The quality of service from SmartAsset has been impressive. Although this is my first venture into marketing and lead generation, a few colleagues who have joined me, one with more experience in lead generation, have praised their platform. The email campaign, in particular, is expertly crafted, allowing me to take a hands-off approach with the DRIP campaign running smoothly.

      My only mild complaint is about the price—they are not cheap; however, you do get what you pay for. The value provided feels worth it. I wouldn’t hesitate to give them a high rating overall.
