    Greenlight puts 2 holds on your debit card. There is no way to cancel. I exited immediately. I did not finish sign-up. I had to wait days to get my $10 dollars back. Why 10 dollars and both withdrawals. I will tell everyone to stay away from Greenlight. Jeri

    Greenlight stole money from my children and then blamed me for it and never reimbursed my kids or me. I had to close the account before they rendered me bankrupt! Every month I put enough to cover the kids’ allowances and every month GL would pay them from my account. Every month just a day or two after that my son would text me saying “they took $50 from me” or “they took all my money again mom”. I contacted them and they explained to me how it’s my fault because I didn’t have enough money in my account? It doesn’t make sense! The money was there. The kids got paid. GL took the money and didn’t give it back. I’m over it and reporting them to the BBB and fbi cybercrimes.

    I signed up for the month ‘risk-free’ trial and was immediately charged $10. When I contacted the company…which is difficult to do, they told me that I would be charged after 7 days…even though it said one-month free. When I signed up for the ‘free trial’ i selected the $3.99 monthly payment option thereafter- so I don’t even know how I was charged a $10 fee. I will be canceling asap and wish they never had received access to my checking account.

    This company is a complete scam. I set up a spending and investing account for my son. The only thing consistent about these accounts was Greenlight's fees and funding. Over the course of several months I noticed a disparity of hundreds of dollars between Greenlight's funding from my bank account and the money that was actually being moved into my son's account. They break federal law by not providing access to monthly statements, so it is basically impossible to track and then have the gall to charge a $10 monthly subscription fee.

    Used this for a few years but now I got a new phone and had to log in to app. However, I failed to change my phone number in their system and I can no longer log in. I tried emailing, texting, going online and email responses state I have to call only to change the phone number. But the automated system will not allow me to speak to a human being and keeps sending codes to the old number. the automated responses are in codes and are not understandable. So now, I cannot even cancel my card or make any changes as they won't answer the phone!!! Also they raised rates and never notified me. So I cannot even cancel this card ever as I cannot reach a person.

    How about negative stars? This company is a scam - do not use it. I plan on reporting their practice to the Consumer Protection Agencies. I opened an account with a debit card for my teen back in 2021. There was no mention of a monthly fee or overdraft fees. We never received any emails or text notifications of any fees throughout this entire time. I recently looked through our history transactions and lo and behold! I discovered that we've been charged a monthly fee of $14.98 month plus a $25 overdraft each week (for internal auto-transfers between the parent wallet and the child wallet). This added up to hundreds of unauthorized fees. In addition, it is not easy to talk to a person to dispute these transactions. You can not even download the transaction history. Stay away!

    The WORST. I transfer $300 from my bank to my child. Greenlight took the money out of my account 2x and even though I called seconds after I noticed this they won't GIVE IT BACK FOR 5 BUSINESS DAYS... SCAM actions at its finest. Don't trust them. CANCEL THIS ASAP!

    I woke up to my account being overdrawn by $229.01. I called Greenlight to make a fraud claim to get my money back. Even though I stated I am not in San Francisco eating at Jack in the Box and that the other four charges were also not me, they REFUSED to give my money back or take my claim. DO NOT GET AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM unless you want your money stolen.

    My son had accumulated over $1000 in investments through his "Greenlight Investing" account, that is managed by Drivewealth. He turned 18 and wanted to transfer the securities to a Robinhood account so that he could manage his investments independently. As soon as we initiated the transfer, Greenlight/Drivewealth liquidated the positions (and he had accumulated quite a bit of stock in NVDA, AAPL, and others) and has refused to credit us for the full amount of the value of the securities that were held in his investment account as of market-close on Friday - about $200 is missing, of my son's money. DO NOT USE GREENLIGHT TO TEACH CHILDREN INVESTING! They are operating some kind of criminal scam and they took my son's hard-earned money instead of operating as a prudent fiscal custodian.

    This company is a scam and they are thieves. I wished I would of read the reviews before getting this card. They were charging me monthly charges when I cancelled back in 2020. I called and the "higher up" Doug (REF#**) only offered to give me back 3 months, then 6 months. They can clearly see the card hasn't been used for years or in fact ever. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CARD!!!

    This company is fraudulent and a scam. Please be aware they will steal your money. They also have very uneducated employees who will lie and tell you different things just to get you off the phone. I sent $2000 from my bank account to fund my parent account when it did not show up a week later and was taken out of my bank account. I was very concerned. The first person that I spoke to told me that my bank account was not linked. Therefore, that was the problem. This was not the case, since my bank account was linked, and the money was transferred out. My bank confirmed it.

    The next person that I spoke to told me that the debit limit was too high and that’s why the money never showed up in Greenlight but that in 10 days it would go back into my bank account. This also was not true. She tried to hang up on me, but I asked to speak to her superior, after an hour hold. I finally spoke with someone who said she was the highest level. She told me she did not know what was happening, but thanks maybe the money will show up in a few days. This is very scary and this company appears to be fraudulent. Please do not use this account.

    I deposit $90 and the next day it was completely gone, and no one in customer service could tell me what happened. After speaking with customer service 3 times, and filing a complaint, they refused to refund my money. My son card had fraud on it. They refuse to refund this money after three attempts. In total they took over $400 from my son and I.

    This is a predatory service directed at children. My daughter had a fraudulent charge and it pulled the money directly out of my parent's account and hit me with an $85 fee on top of the original fraudulent charge. Why was the charge not refused if funds were not available? Children are going to possibly overspend and they know it. I called in 4 times for a refund of the insane fee but they said no every time stating the charge was justified. I closed my account and refuse to give them any more of my money. Frankly, I am disgusted by this company. My children learned a lesson about corporate greed that is for sure.

    My son card got stolen while on a trip in July. They sent a new card. Filed a dispute and sent them everything in July. I've been emailing past couple weeks for a update. They finally responded and I guess the dispute isn't on file. So I guess I'm out $70. I'm not very happy at all.

    We had 5000$ dollars in family 9+ dollars per month to help the kids get started. Ya was told after 5000 we could be getting 3+% if it would be added to and never touched for long period of time. Lies!

    I had an unauthorized charge on my kids account. I called the same day to dispute the charge and the agent said it was just an authorization and it could fall off and advised I call back after so many days to make sure the charge goes through then I can file a dispute. Well I did this and now my dispute has been denied and they won't refund the money. Terrible customer service. They could have stopped the charge from processing from the 1st day. BEWARE!!!!

    This company WILL NOT PROTECT YOU. Funds were taken out of my child's account and they really don't care. It's really not worth this much drama, when there are so many companies out there that will look out for you. I regret referring this company to my friends and family and will make sure to have them close their accounts before they lose money. I still cannot believe the outcome.
