This is a complete scam. They pretend to come from the official car warranty service from the maker which they aren't. DO NOT trust anything they say. They intentionally keep delaying all the documentation process including sending the document by slow mail so that they can take the first downpayment. All the words they say was not trustable; they changed their words in every situation. If you unintentionally joined their service, ignore all the words they tell you which are mostly lies, and just have them send the cancellation form. I once again emphasize: NEVER NEVER USE THIS SERVICE.

This company is a scam. I did not have any agreement with Vehicle Protection Center. But this company keeps sending me bills of the vehicle insurance. I received a scam postcard just after I purchased a new car. It has my name, address and car model, all are correct. It looks like the postcard coming from my dealer. A eager head aside the stamp makes it related to the government. It said that my car will be de-active on road soon if I don't call before the deadline **. I called the number, they asked all my information, address, email address, phone number, SSN, and credit card. It charged my credit card with $349 immediately which it is very strange for me. I did not received any email about the policy detail or hard copy mail after they promise.
I called my dealer and I found that I got attacked by scammer. So I cancel my credit card soon. Then I received bills from MEPCO, and I had mailed a letter asking canceling the contract, no agreement with the contract, and also mailed to the Vehicle Protection center. But MEPCO still keeps sending me bills without answering email or mail.

Updated on 03/13/2021: Mepco keeps sending me bills in this scam. And they do not respond tp private messages. Next step is the police. Why is it that Mepco does not respond?! Too large profit from this criminal activity? Delete my name and account, NOW!!!
Original Review: They are connected to a so called road service that I have been trying to cancel, as the seller has not had a contract with the road service provider since before I signed the contract. Phone number I called is now for telemarketing of various suspect schemes. Knock it off Mepco! The subscription is cancelled, and Amex has taken this as fraud!

This company is the worst. I paid 100 down to start my policy then when I decided to cancel it back in August 2020 I called MEPCO billing and was told that since I had not made a payment that it would be ok to cancel without making a payment but would have to speak to the guy who I initially started the warranty with. His name was Tony, Tony told me that I had to make a payment of 133 in order to cancel my warranty. I argued with him. Told him what the lady told me. He then said that she would be fired for telling me and that I had to make a payment so I made the payment and got a conformation number and was told by Tony to ignore the next two statements. But I want to make sure it's canceled so I call and get the run around. Today makes my 2nd attempt to get this resolved. Don't know who to turn to want I won't give anymore money to them and if I can want my 133 reimbursed back to me. This company is NOT GOOD. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

I was contacted on my cell phone offering me a car warranty for a van I had purchased. I thought it was from the dealer. I said ok as they had mentioned it would be 3 payments of approx $145.00. I gave a down payment of $195.00 and waited for the paperwork. I received the Auto Protection Policy effective 7/14/20. My wife read the policy and it was not 3 payments of $145.00. The full policy was $2,785.00. We immediately chose to cancel this policy and followed the cancellation instructions which must be cancelled within 30 days.
On July 28, 2020 we mailed and emailed our cancellation request. On 7/29/20 I received a confirmation email from Rafil ** who advised he would forward the email to the warranty company to process the cancellation. We then received a statement on 7/20/20 requesting payment. We thought our cancellation crossed in the mail. Then we received another billing statement dated 8/20/20 indicating two payments are due by 9/13/20. We immediately contacted the phone numbers on the policy. We tried calling Matrix Payment Solutions on 9/8/20 and was told they would transfer me to cancellations. I kept getting disconnected.
They then gave me the direct number to Clear Path Automotive. The phone call would get disconnected upon it connecting. I left numerous message with no response. I called again today (the next day) and spoke to Ivan who assured me he will have someone from that department call me back. Still no phone call. I am extremely frustrated with this situation and will be contacting the attorney general and Better Business Bureau today. Not only have they not cancelled the policy, we are owed a refund for our downpayment of $195.00. Do not sign up for with any of these Companies.
I signed up for a extended warranty June 3 2020. Was told to review policy when ca re 2 weeks later. Decided I did not want to keep it. I started calling, after being put on hold several times in days I finally talked to someone. Tried to cancel. She said to call another number. After several attempts I got another person. She said I had to cancel thru another number. She asked why I want to. Cancel. Told her I didn't like the contract, I finally told her I would rethink it but still want to talk to someone about cancelling. Never got a call.
Call again. July 2, the agent read me my statement and I told her I still want to cancel. Said they would call me back. On July 3 they charged $156.11 on my card without my consent. I did not sign any consent or verbally give consent. After reading all other complaint I think I made the right decision to cancel along with horrible telephone response. I call credit card co to stop unauthorized payment.

My grandmother was contacted by this company to start a policy for vehicle service and repair coverage since the previous warranty expired. She told them she did not want to go through them for this type of coverage and she felt she wouldn't need it anyway. Long story short she called her bank one morning to get her balance as she always does and her account was overdrawn due to a debit for a payment to MEPCO in the amount of $1400.00 dollars!! Mind you she never gave them any of her bank account information or her debit card number because she refused buying the coverage they were offering.
My grandmother is 87 years old and can not afford to have people scamming her for her fixed income. Her and I tried calling to cancel this bogus contract but were hung up on 2 times and were asked to leave a message 1 other time we called. She disputed the transaction with her bank and they credited her account the $1400.00 and changed her debit card number. Lo and behold another payment of $1400.00 to MEPCO came out of her account again even after changing her debit card number!!! Wonder how that happened? All the while we can't get in touch with anyone to cancel this fraudulent policy.

I have been scammed by you 3 times. Just last week I spoke to a supervisor there. She told me my money would be put back on my card and I check it again and now you have taken two payments. I will in fact take legal action. Just yesterday someone called me with Drive Smart asking me why did I cancel. I explained I could not afford it neither was I interested. I want my money back and I will be reaching out to my Lawyer. This is not a threat rather it is assurance that you will not get away with scamming the innocent people!!!!!

I recently bought an extended warranty from this company after receiving numerous letters from them. I have a BMW 3 series that had been running perfectly fine but I have had my share of paying cash for my repairs in the past. Being that the warranty coverage included ENGINE, ELECTRICAL as well as Transmission I considered buying the policy. Long story short, I have had coverage for 2 months now and recently had to take my BMW to the dealership for repairs. I became aware that I needed a particulate filter, some other filter, catalytic converter issue and a part that needed to be replaced. NOTHING was covered under the warranty. I called to cancel the warranty and the call immediately turned into a nightmare.
Jessica the so called supervisor was extremely rude and wouldn’t even let me talk to let her know my concerns before she cut me off to basically tell me that if I’m unaware of what my policy covers it’s not their fault because they wouldn’t have sold me a warranty without explaining the guidelines to me. I was took back immediately with her tone as well as her lack of empathy. She was not helpful at all and became even more irrational once I told her to just cancel my policy. She hung up on me 4 times and even called me to tell me she refused my cancellation letter that I emailed. I happened to speak with 2 nice and understanding gentlemen after her and one of the men actually sent me a email copy of my policy as well as explained in details what steps I needed to take to cancel my coverage. Overall MEPCO’s coverage SUCKS! I wouldn’t recommend anyone to this company. Poor coverage and poor customer service from Jessica!

As far as Mepco goes they were fine to deal with until you sell your car and need to cancel. You're automatically transferred through their automated message. When I got on the phone with Protek they must only have one CS agent working there because Debra answers the phone all the time. She told me I needed to send a Bill of Sale to their St Petersburg address in which I did then I see another monthly charge. So I called back and yep got Debra. I told her I already sent in and to stop charging me the monthly amt of $111.00 and her comment was, "Well ya better send it in again or we are going to keep charging you". I asked for an email and then a supervisor and Debra said a supervisor didn't have time to talk to me because they were busy helping customers. What kind of customer service is this. If I could I would give a neg ----10. Choose someone another company!!!!!

My problem "is" with Mepco. Wanted to continue with paper billing, and told them so, well, no billing stmt. came in. Called again. I was then late and worried, even though the more I read, not too sure about these people. Finally, spoke with a Nick ** at Mepco and was assured that my Oct. was taken care of. Thought that Mepco covered it. When my bill arrived for Nov. (yes, I am back on paper billing, as requested), my Oct bill wasn't taken care of, as stated, it was "deferred". Never heard that said by Nick **, because I even asked, if it was paid, and he said, "It's been taken care of." NOT TRUE. Check that tape that they say is recorded. The date 11-4-19, at 1:49pm with Nick **. Enough Said. *Understand, new company is taking over, hoping for the "better". K**

I cancelled my extended warranty coverage with Mepco because I no longer own my 2008 Honda Pilot. I gave it to my mother. He asked me would my mom need the coverage and I told him no. He then got upset and said my policy is cancelled which was two weeks ago. I checked my mail today and there is a bill for $116.29 with 16 number of payments remaining. Why would you expect me to pay for an extended warranty plan when I no longer own the vehicle. This has to be illegal as heck! Can someone please direct me as to what need to do for this is ridiculous. MEPCO is STRAIGHT GARBAGE! DO NOT GET AN EXTENDED WARRANTY WITH THIS COMPANY!

Very disappointed with buying the insurance coverage from this company because my first claim the coverage was lacking to say the least. They covered only $90/hour for labor when most dealers and auto mechanics charge anywhere from $120 to $165 per hour. On my last repair I spent over $600 plus the $100 deductible out of pocket for a repair. So much for no cost or worry free maintenance. Also, They promised bumper to bumper warranty but when I called them about my engine light stemming from the Catalytic converter. MEPCO denied the coverage because they said this was NOT!!! Covered under their warranty. What a rip off!!! Definitely recommend all to stay away from this company. Car repair insurance warranty NOT worth buying.

This is shame. They ripping people off left and right and I just file complain with attorney general office. This needs to stop before they scam more people. They don't cover anything or find way to not cover major components. Also they will charge your card even if you cancel. Don't understand how they been allowed to practice this scam for so long without anyone reporting it to attorney general office so they can investigate and start federal investigations. This will end badly for those scammers soon.

Ad states coverages in large capital letters: ENGINE! TRANSMISSION! ELECTRICAL! Pretty simple, but that's not the reality. Reality is it only covers certain parts. A reasonable consumer purchasing MEPCO's warranty would assume that if engine, transmission or electrical issues arise they are covered. Nope. Only certain parts are covered. Total rip off. And, impossible to speak to anyone there. "I'll connect you to Adjustor" operator says. It goes to voicemail. They don't even give you adjustor's name. Adjustor never calls back. This is all a scam.

I purchased a policy with Mepco through Endurance warranty services. I have had this policy two years. My vehicle recently started having transmission problems and they are refusing to cover my vehicle because per them I have a Lyft and Uber sticker in my window. I have never been told this was a problem. They recently came out and inspected my vehicle and approved a claim to fix the AC. But now they are refusing to fix my vehicle. I paid for third policy for 2 years and I need my vehicle fixed. This is not okay. They refuse to let me speak to a supervisor or someone in management.

I bought an extended warranty from AutoNation, and I was suspicious about their reputation as there was a lot of negative reviews. I thought I wanted to research more about it before buying a warranty. Mepco promptly refunded all my money. Thank you for it. I do advise that their website should be a secured one and they should not use AutoNation logo if they are not a company of AutoNation.

I called Mepco and was on the phone 33 minutes attempting to cancel my supplemental car insurance which costs me $286 a month. I made it clear I could no longer afford the insurance that I lost income due to my husband dying and being out of work due to surgery. The one gentleman had the nerve to tell me to not make an emotional decision. I literally stated over 100 times to cancel my insurance. I have video evidence of the phone conversation. The person I spoke to the longest was Shane **. I chose the option to cancel but after about 30 minutes of him trying to tell me how I needed to keep my insurance he then said that he can’t cancel my insurance. He stated that someone would could call the next day to cancel my policy.
Someone did call the next day but they again trying to tell me I needed to keep this insurance. I also tried to cancel via their website following their instructions. The website stated my message went through but they continue to refuse to cancel my policy. This has been a terrible experience for me. I have to sell my house and move. I need to cut expenses. This has to be illegal. My billing/account number is **. Mepco if you’re reading this cancel my account now.

Despite closing my credit card account and being reissued a new # after realizing what they were selling was not insurance, I immediately cancelled. Well, now disguised with the other name “Mepco” they’ve attempted to take another $200 from the new card that I had never given them any information. At first Capital One said that would keep this from recurring but now admit merchant may call and get updated information!

Still paying for a warranty even though I cancelled several months ago after they refused to cover a transmission that went out claiming that transmissions don't just go out. Apparently, they know more than the mechanic. Refused to cover it so now I have a car I cannot use.

I decided to purchase a warranty from Protect my Car in which MEPCO is in charge of the billing because they are the ones taking money from my account. My bill was due on the 15th of each month and was being debited from my account. Everything was ok for the first month or so. I decided to set up an online account and I noticed that there was an option to cancel direct debit and have the bill mailed to me so I could pay thru check or money order. So I did this around the 2nd week of September. I received the bill for Sept. that same week. On the 25th of Sept, I received a late notice saying that I owed 83.99. Also on the notice it stated that if my payment wasn't received by 10/15/2017, my contract would be cancelled.
So how is MEPCO going to debit my account, (unauthorized) not only for 83.99 but an additional 79.99 on Saturday, Oct.14? They have totally messed up my other bills. This is the exact reason that I didn't want the direct debit. I tried to go online and all of a sudden my password doesn't work. I am so angry! I'm pretty sure that will get the runaround tomorrow when I call. I am cancelling immediately and will never do business with or recommend them to anyone. This was so wrong on so many levels!
Everything seemed to be going okay. Seven months before the end of my plan they decided to change the date they auto-charged my credit card so they could get a late fee from me. When I called them on it they said I had asked to change my charge date. B.S.!!! It was coming out of a credit card. Why would I need to change the date?? Then she told me that they attempt to charge on the 5th of each month (which is my original date) and it is declined. They attempt two more times before the bank gives up and approves it anyway. REALLY!!! Have you ever heard of a bank giving up and letting a previously declined charge go through anyway? Then she tells me the card is expired. Can they come up with any more excuses? If the card is expired why is the bank still approving the charge? Stay away from this company if you value your money.
I purchased their supreme coverage for my truck. I took the truck in for service and to my surprise nothing was covered. They told me that the parts were not on their covered list. And we're not on their not covered list so they are not covered. When I called the people were extremely rude. They told me they were a master diesel mechanic. The man continued to tell me he knew all parts but could not tell me what a DEF system was and why it was not covered. The master mechanic became rude and told me my policy was canceled. I paid 6 months and because they could not explain why something was not covered I tossed over $900 out the window. I would not recommend this company to anyone that does not like headaches. They have a reason to not cover anything. Save your money by not dealing with their rude people.
Mepco is a 8 hr business running on a time clock. At their convenience and not yours. Most credit card, bank card, and telephone, and utility companies have an 1 800 number to make a payment whenever. 24/7. Simply pay your bill on the phone. Hey you stupid online payers for Mepco, who get locked out for not knowing or forgetting your password, and can't make a payment. Because you are locked out. Hey don't pay your online bill after their convenient hours of 8A to 5PC. You're out of luck and locked out. And do not trust Mepco for automatic payments which means taking your money out of an account automatically. Don't get stuck with Mepco. Mediocre company. Can't even pay your damn bill on time. What a disgrace.
Upon purchasing an extended warranty from MepCO, our warranty repairs was placed under Royal Wesco for administration. I have had all required maintenance perform on all my vehicles according to my vehicles service manual and dealership. I had a $2,400.00 maintenance service performed back in Oct/Nov 2014, since then I have monitored and have return my vehicle back to the dealer which provided the service for any issues. Before that I had only 1 issue with my GMC Envoy. Now I am told I need new engine, in which MepCo refused to cover...
I recently refinanced my car, which comes with an extended warranty. My policy was paid in full as of Jan. 16th 2015. I called today 2/24/15, to cancel and to get a pro rated refund, which is guaranteed as a policy holder. I was literally on the phone with this woman who was extremely persistent and patronizing woman for 45 minutes. I became furious due to her lack of interest in what I was asking. She kept saying "I understand your frustration"... She wouldn't let me speak. I said "I just want to cancel MY policy," I know 60 times. I then told her to let someone else help me if she wasn't. Still wouldn't help me. So angry!
I eventually after arguing with this woman 45 min. I hung up the phone. Don't understand what the issue was. It's my policy, it's paid for, and more importantly, It's MY decision!!!!!! I wouldn't recommend this company to any. They don't provide payment for towing or rental if something happens, and you have to wait a grace period before using. There are companies that do offer all of the above, for much less!!! With no grace period. Carmen acted as if she knew what was better for me more so than I. As if I was a child. It's my $ as well as my choice!
I had an extended warranty on my Chrysler from CarSafe, financed by MEPCO. I just went to use it and found out CarSafe is out of business. MEPCO continued to take the payments out of my checking account! How is it legal to continue taking payments on a contract that represents a company that no longer exists? Looks like many people have the same issue with MEPCO for other warranty companies they financed that also no longer exists. If anyone is doing a class action where they include MEPCO, I am in!
