Read full reviewWhat is CreditRepair.com?
CreditRepair.com is a company that offers credit repair services to consumers. These services typically include assistance with disputing errors on credit reports, negotiating with creditors and collection agencies and providing educational resources and tools to help consumers improve their credit scores.
The company claims to help consumers remove negative items from their credit reports, such as late payments, collections and bankruptcies. This can help improve credit scores and make it easier to obtain loans or credit cards at favorable terms.
How does CreditRepair.com work?
CreditRepair.com helps consumers dispute errors on their credit reports with the three major credit reporting agencies (Experian, TransUnion and Equifax). Depending on your situation, it can also assist with negotiating with creditors and collection agencies to try to remove or update negative items on credit reports.
The best place to start is with a free evaluation from CreditRepair.com. You will need to input your Social Security number for this step, but doing so will not hurt your credit score. This evaluation will give you:
- Your current credit score
- A summary of negative marks on your credit
- Recommended credit solutions
Once you sign up with CreditRepair.com, the company contacts the lenders directly to resolve negative issues. Then, it communicates with the credit bureaus to confirm that the appropriate changes have actually occurred.
It is important to note that credit repair companies can't remove accurate negative information from your credit report that is considered to be fair credit reporting — only time can do that.
CreditRepair.com products and services
CreditRepair.com offers four levels of service, all of which include different levels of:
- Disputes and challenges with the three credit bureaus
- Creditor interventions
- ID theft insurance
- FICO score updates
- New Credit Repair Direct service
- The newest level of Credit Repair Direct service is $49.95 per month and is identical to the original direct service, but it includes one less credit intervention and two fewer bureau challenges per month.
- Original Direct service
- For $69.95 per month, this package comes with up to six challenges per cycle to both Equifax and TransUnion and up to three per cycle with Experian. It also comes with up to three creditor interventions per month. Customers can expect inquiry assists, goodwill intervention and quarterly score updates.
- Standard service
- At $99.95 per month, this monthly service includes the same benefits as the direct level but includes a FICO score inquiry assist service, which allows you to dispute inaccurate or unfair inquiries on your account.
- Advanced service
- For $119.95 per month, customers receive all of the perks of the standard service, with monthly credit score updates and more bureau challenges, creditor interventions, and cease and desist interventions.
CreditRepair.com fees
In addition to the monthly fees listed for each service level, CreditRepair.com also charges a first-work fee. This first-work fee amount is the same as the monthly payment, so if you sign up for the Advanced service for $119.95 per month, expect a $119.95 one-time first-work fee, too.

It's one of the more expensive credit management services, but it is the only one that actually does the work for you in challenging items on your credit. Even if the items on your credit are potentially valid, there are still 'loopholes' and ways of removing them... maybe an incorrect date of birth on file or something like that. The only reason why I am not giving them a perfect rating is that their new app is really buggy and not as sleek as something like Experian for example. For example, getting through the "Game Plan" is a bit time consuming as nothing seems to save, and you need to redo a bunch of stuff. Although they can walk you through this process on the phone or via chat, but it would have been a lot easier to just do it on the app.

I signed up and quickly (same day) realized this was not what was advertised. I immediately canceled this account. It shows in my account dashboard canceled however on Sept 23rd debit card was charged $170. Called in and spoke to a rude disorganized rep who informed me I was canceled but was now being billed some late fee, and some other fee. I advised I wanted this refunded immediately and no more unauthorized charges to come out. She refused to help at all. Said they would not refund these fees. DO NOT PUT YOUR CARD INTO THEIR SITE. They will bill you what they want when it is not authorized. I am call bank to dispute all charges to this company now. Not only is the service dishonest they think they can charge your card as they please.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for the feedback provided. Please DM us your contact information and we'd be happy to have one of our representatives reach out to assist you. Thank you in advance for your patience.

Paid Creditrepair.com & their other company LexingtonLaw for many months with no results! I canceled both companies after paying almost a year & no results! They both kept billing my credit card. LexingtonLaw refunded my credit card for the month after I canceled. Credit repair will not refund $96.45 that they billed after canceling them!!! BEWARE!!!!
