I spoke to someone and they told me what CreditAssociates could do. They said they could lower my payments and that with their help, I could pay off my debts in a quicker time. I also looked at another place, but I liked what CreditAssociates said they were doing. My experience with them was 100% good. I have five of the creditors and every time my rep gets a good deal, he calls me and he stays online to answer every question. He's very nice and patient. He also takes the time to to explain everything. Communicating with CreditAssociates is not difficult. If I call them, they answer. I've been in the program for less than a year and it gives me peace of mind because they're getting through the program.

I looked at a couple of companies and CreditAssociates was the first one I called. Their program is gonna help me from not having a bunch of bad debts on me and I won't have bad credit. The enrollment process wasn't too bad and everybody that called me has been nice so far. They take care of me and they're super helpful. To track my progress, I have a website I can go to, but I don't go to it that often. I let CreditAssociates take the money out and go from there.

I've done research on a couple of different companies that do what they do and I liked the way that CreditAssociates went about doing it. However, I didn't have a great experience with the first person that I was originally signed with, so I asked CreditAssociates to be switched to another person who then really did an exceptional job. I would recommend them.

I signed up with CreditAssociates to help me with my credit issues. I was skeptical at first because I hate giving out my information, but I had a good experience during the two years I was enrolled in the program. It was easy to work with them and while they didn't help me all the way, they helped a little. They got the one that I signed up for for my dental, then I had to call and cancel and the rep understood. I didn't want to cancel because I wanted my credit card to be redone, but I couldn't afford it. I'm on low income and 241 was too steep for me. Overall, I would tell people to try CreditAssociates if they have the money to afford it. It was good and if I had the money, I would have stayed with them.

CreditAssociates was a good experience. Everybody there was nice. I called them up when I tracked my progress and they did emails as well. The person I worked with helped me do a lot and I had no trouble with them. I learned a lot of stuff, and they helped me pay off my bills fast. I told my sister about CreditAssociates so she can soon join too.

I went with CreditAssociates to pay my debt and while the application took one whole day, it was very easy. I also tried to call once and they helped me very quick. It was excellent. CreditAssociates helped me big because I have a lot of credit cards to pay.

I own a trucking company and its expenses were associated with my personal account. So I was in tons of debt. I saw a commercial for CreditAssociates and after making sure that it was valid through the Better Business Bureau, I signed up with them. They pretty much told me that they work with the creditors to get the best price or best reduction in what I owe to each creditor. I initiated one phone call and someone called me back to set everything up. The first person I talked to validated the three accounts that I wanted to work on. Once that company worked out a deal, he would call and ask me if was I okay with the price or the reduction they received. And it was done with the other two creditors as well.
The program was based on how much debt I was in and how much I could afford to pay monthly. They said, based on my payments, I could have debts paid off in four and a half years, and it was pretty accurate. Initially, I didn't look at the fees that this company charged and I later realized that the fees were somewhat high. But I have no complaint about the overall process. Whenever I had any concern, they were pretty much a phone call away and I had no issues in getting in contact with anyone. I wasn't transferred from person to person and whatever question I had, it was answered.
The only thing that I didn't like was the app associated with this debt relief. It wasn't accurate because my payment plan ran through the next four years, but when I spoke to people on the phone, they told me that it was going to end as of this past December. They said they'd get the app updated and that still never happened. But the program worked for me. Once COVID hit and the government programs changed, I had to go out of business and my American Express bill was $100,000. But CreditAssociates went in and reduced it to roughly $60,000. So I have no complaints about the program whatsoever.

Since working with CreditAssociates, I feel a sense of relief, because I was drowning. I was unemployed since April, but I was still paying my bills. I thought something would have come up where I don't have to go through that program, because I've always had great credit. And it reached the point where I had no money left, and I needed to make that change. And so far, my experience with CreditAssociates has been great. They have been helpful, responsive, supportive, knowledgeable, and explained things properly. I'm not being pressured because they have enrolled in making contributions to the program, where they would attempt to pay off high balances.

After seeing a few good points online for CreditAssociates, I figured I'd try it. I’ve been in the program for almost three years. It has made it easier to pay off my debt, but I don’t get enough feedback. I’m not tech-savvy and don't know how to go online to check balances, and I haven't heard from them much. I once emailed them and they didn't really get back to me. And when I call, they're difficult to get ahold of or to know my balance.
They told me the program would be a little under three years, so I’m hoping February is my last payment. My credit hasn't really improved yet, but I’m assuming I’ll see a difference once everything is paid off. I'll get better ratings because I work with CreditAssociates. I would say they are middle of the line. I don't dislike them, but the truth will be the truth in February. If they try to extend my payments past March, I'll be mad.

I signed up with CreditAssociates in 2023 to take care of four credit cards. Everything got off to a good start. Made $276 a month payments. It was broken into two, the beginning and the end of the month. Last January, I called and asked what I needed to pay to pay it off. And they told me $3,000. I wrote them a check for $3,000 on January 10th and never heard back from them until three weeks. I thought I was done. And now, they're saying that I’m not done yet.
Another thing is that once I made that check payment, they stopped taking money out of my account. And now, they're saying that we still have a ways to go. And I asked them where they were for the last year. Because whatever I owe, I could have paid it all off by now.
So, they reached out to me again yesterday by email. But I started a new job. And I only work three days a week. I can't be on the phone when I'm at work. I spoke to several different representatives. One woman could not give me a reason why they were coming back at me now after literally not speaking with me for a year. Did they just throw me in a file and forget about me? And then somebody's picked it up and said, “Hey, we can still get money out of this guy.” I have no idea. And they said I'd never receive a payoff. And all the people that I spoke to in the past are not there anymore.
I spoke to a lady yesterday, and she told me two of my accounts have been completely paid off, but I still owe them money. And I asked her who was in charge of my account, and everyone that I spoke to, from the person that got me signed up, they said those people don't work with them anymore. So, I don't know what to do next. They want me to make a payment by the 24th of December. And they said we're close to signing off on another one. So, it's just been a weird experience all of a sudden, and I was concerned.
They've acknowledged that I made the $3,000 payment, and the lady I spoke to yesterday said there's no way that they would just agree to pay it off. And I asked her why they stopped taking payments out, and I haven't heard from them for a year. Literally, January 10th was the last conversation I had with them. They actually took money out of my account after a year. And I just checked on my account, and I saw the payment, and I was like, “Why did they start doing that again? I didn't authorize that.”
They were supposed to get back to me and have a representative call me. I was getting angry. I told the person I talked to that I’m concerned about this whole thing at this point. And I was thinking, “Well, I'm just not gonna make any more payments. But what will that do to my credit? What could happen? I don't know.”
Even in the last six months, I received credit card offers, and I just threw them all away. I don't want to get into that debt thing again. I was hoping that someone of authority would call me to speak with me. But the lady didn't know who she could connect me with.

I first saw CreditAssociates on Facebook, and so far, it’s been real good. It just seemed like it was the way to go. I have had no problems with them. I just call in if I had questions or concerns. If they can’t get back to me, they always call me back.
I track all my progress on the app, which shows all the cards I turned in. My timeline is 48 months. I was hoping to be paid off by July, but I don't think it's going to be quite that quick. However, the process has been easy to do, and I would use them again if I needed to, though I hope I never need to.

I had several credit card bills and it was hard to make all those payments. I did research. I looked at the reviews and I asked a lot of questions before I just accepted. I’ve had a good experience with CreditAssociates so far. It has really worked for me and helped me get out of a bind. They send text or emails to let me know how each one is coming, or I go online and check to see how much I owe on each account.
I have one last thing that we're trying to get done. Sometimes I have to call to get the information that I need, but they actually carried through and got my bills paid off. CreditAssociates did what they said they would do. My biggest learning experience was not to let the bills get high and just seek help before it gets so bad.

I’m on a fixed income, and I had extended my credit card way over what I should have. I saw an advertisement for CreditAssociates saying they could help cut the credit card bill in half, so I called them. They explained what they might be able to do and what the arrangements would be. They told me it would probably be a while because of the interactions with the bank. We made an agreement, and I set up a payment.
The gentleman I spoke with was really nice and considerate. He gave me a case number, and he said, as soon as they got everything ready, they would contact me. And so far, I haven't heard anything back from them. They have a website and it showed an update that they got the papers ready to send to the bank to see if they'd accept the offer. I understand that things like that take a while. So far, everything's been positive.

I called CreditAssociates based on the experience of my niece, who was already using them. And so far, everything's going smoothly. They're handling all my debts. So, I'm almost debt-free. The person I initially talked to kind of put me off. He said that he would call me back 'cause he was finishing up with another client but then I never heard from him. In his defense, I may not have recognized the number when he called back, so I didn't answer. I called back, and the second person was very nice, affable, and easy to talk to. I liked CreditAssociates because I had already consulted another consolidation company and they wanted like $400 more a month. However, I ended up going bankruptcy and so, the account never got set up.

A friend told me about CreditAssociates, and they were the first ones I looked into. I’ve been with them for over a year, but I’m not happy with the service. When I first set up, I told them I wanted certain things paid off first because they were hurting my credit score, and they ignored that. They are still doing that to this day.
The company does not listen. When you tell them to do something, they just hold off and do what they think is best. Every time I call, it takes forever, and if they keep just doing whatever they want, I might just cancel.

I completed the program with CreditAssociates in November. At first, I was paying double. So, when it got a little crazy for me at the time, instead of me just stop doing it, I just called CreditAssociates. I was trying to see how it worked. I would ask questions and tell them what I can, what I can't afford, and once they gave me some good numbers and good results, I just went ahead and went with them. The representative I talked to was honest. Every question I had about the program, he had good answers for me. Everything went smoothly.

I wanted to consolidate some debt, and then I did some research and decided to use CreditAssociates. It was a little sketchy at first because you're dealing with a lot of money, and you don't know the outcome until the outcome. They can lead you on all the way. But it was good. It got a little confusing towards closing the accounts out and understanding their fees that they got. You do your math, but they have a different math. But it was fair. You pay a little interest. So, it worked great for me because they saved me a lot of money. I had a lot of debt, and I got rid of all of it. I’m all the way done.

I've always paid my bills, and the pandemic really wiped me out. I went with CreditAssociates because they seemed more down-to-earth and a smaller organization. I worked with one person at the beginning who really got things going and laid things out. She suggested we take care of the first $10,000, and then do the last $4,000.
I’m not real computer savvy, so I usually call them to talk to a person. But I was able to use the portal on several occasions which worked really good. They were very good about getting back to me. The program was good and they gave me several options, so it worked. My payment went from around $100 a week down to $60. I just made my last payment and completed the program.
However, just today, I received a bill from a credit card company for $1,800, which I thought was part of the program. I called CreditAssociates and so, they're looking into it. I emailed them a copy of the bill, and she said she would get back to me in the next two to four days. The lady today was very helpful. I’m kind of embarrassed about this whole thing and haven't told any of my family or friends, but I'd still probably do another program with them.

I have nothing positive to say about CreditAssociates. It is a real rip-off. I chose them to get out of debt rather than filing bankruptcy, but it was supposedly only two years and it didn't work out that way. They did not tell me I was going to be paying everybody and their sisters and brothers, so many people got paid before the creditors. I would have done better by calling those creditors myself because I didn't save no money and my credit was messed up.
I was paying over $457 every month and never missed a payment. In August, a representative told me to send in $30 to close my last account. I sent it, but it didn't close. When I called back, an arrogant guy told me I needed to make more payments. Everyone I talked to gave me different amounts and different payoff times. They charge you every time. It was ridiculous what I was charged. I was very dissatisfied with my experience with CreditAssociates. I wouldn't even recommend them to walk my damn dog, and I don't even have one.
Reviewed Dec. 12, 2025
Well, some of the things CreditAssociates said really didn't happen. They said they'd at least get so much of a discount, but that type of stuff didn't happen. They take a hell of a cut out of what they settle for. If the debt was 15,000 and they settle it for 7,500, their percentage was like 5 grand. They take a huge cut which pushes it back up. They saved you $8,000, but they charged you $5,000. I just completed the 41-month program and I feel kind of ripped off for thousands. I probably could have did it myself and saved myself money once I realized what was going on.
Customer service was confusing because one person would say this, and one person would say that. My account said I had 10 more payments, but I only had one. They said the system hasn't updated. They pushed me to up my deposits to $422 a month, and I'm on disability. I actually got into a shout match with them near the end because this has just been a total chaos. I don't trust them anymore, and I'll never deal with CreditAssociates again. Their fees are ridiculous and they're not doing anybody any favors.

Credit Associates markets themselves as a debt reduction and consolidation company intending to help you avoid bankruptcy but they hide the truth and sell you the positive highlights only. They do not answer the phone when you call in for assistance unless you are a potential customer. They actually drive up your debt so that they can make more money and eventually they will drive you into bankruptcy as they have done to me.

Nobody explained how the program worked. Then I sold my house and put all the money into the account as I was instructed to, which I really wish I didn't do because I lost six months of interest on my money. The person from CreditAssociates told me to deposit it all and they will pay it off immediately, but it took a lot longer. I was a little disappointed with. But besides that, everything went fine. There were a few extra charges that I didn't expect, but that was because it took longer to close certain accounts. It went from 26,000 to 29,000. It's all over now and some people were really good when we called. They knew who I was immediately and they transferred me to who I needed to speak to. That was nice.
