    My experience with this company was horrible. First off I had a payment due on may 29, 2016. So I called to see if I could slide the money under the door. The woman there said it would be ok and assure me they will get it that Saturday. So Monday came and I got a call from the loan company stating that they haven't received my payment. Come to find out they're not even open on Saturday so someone in their store stole my money. So another day went by and I received another call from Keith who also works there and he was calling me a liar and threatened me.

    So I ask to speak to the manager and he told me heard most of the conversation and pretty much wasn't going to do anything about it. I asked him if they had security cameras to prove I was telling the truth and he said no. So another day went by and I received another called from the manager asking for the money and he finally decides to tell me their camera two stores from their business and he couldn't get the tapes until he speaks with their manager. I thought that was crazy. "You're the manager of Credit Central. You can't walk over there and talk to the manager." I will never do business with this company again and I will make sure I tell everyone I know not to do business with them as well.

    Community Credit on Laurens Rd. Harassment Harassment Harassment. Bad company to borrow money from. Insane interest rate, poor customer service. Didn't believe it till it happened to me. I have had several loans with them over the course of about 5 years. Paid on time - no problem. 1 month I got behind because work got slack. Called and told them I was going to be late (more than 10 days) making this month's payment. First time being late in 5 years. The woman immediately gets nasty. Making rude comments about my financial situation. I was in shock. I couldn't believe it. So after that rude encounter which got nothing done. I thought it was over. I explained as soon as I got the money I would be in. At most another week.

    The very next day guess who is calling me at work? Credit Central. Asking me if I had figured out what I was going to do about my loan. I'm thinking to myself "I just talked to you about 12 hours ago and told you what my plans were" but you call me the next day at work. So this is obviously just to harass and annoy me. Which is illegal in SC. Once again another nasty encounter and I'm off the phone. 3 days go by with no contact from them so I thinking maybe they are about to start treating me like a human. WRONG - guess who is now making visits to my home? Community Credit!! This company specializes in trying to annoy people. When I get them paid off. Never again will I even think about doing business with them.

    I have taken loans, renewed loans as well as generated business for this place. However, I can make payment, refer people but I can't use the bathroom. Wow, when I pay them off I will not be back nor will I refer anyone else to them.

    I am writing this review because I have recently experienced some personal issues which lead me to take out a loan with Credit Central. Just before my first payment was due I was unable to get a timely payment into the office. I contacted the manager and he went over my situation with me in a non pressuring manner which was gratefully appreciated. I find this company to be willing to work with me and have done so with professional integrity. All I can say is that by keeping the line of communication open and being straightforward and honest with the manager I have experienced no problems.

    They did not force me to make a loan, it was my choice and so is my responsibility to keep them abreast of my situation which I have done and received excellent customer service. I would do business with this company again once I resolve the current loan situation. I am thankful that Credit Central is there when I need them and they don't hassle me. To have discovered this company before now would have been better for me in looking back because other companies I have done business with have not measured up to my expectations, but Credit Central has done so. Thank you very much.

    The staff in Greenwood SC are deceiving. I have dealt with this place a couple years, I have been behind on my payment but I gave them 194 by check on New Year's Eve when an associate came to my house. Today I came home and had a letter stating I was difficult to deal with... They call every friend and relative they know of if I don't make it the day I usually come, they don't realize people have a life outside of their loan company?? They also throw business cards in the yard and on my porch, these people are ridiculous and quite childish. There are better companies in town for a loan, I will never deal with this company again. They exhibit very unprofessional behavior. How can paying them ten days ago be difficult and to the point that they send someone to my home to leave a letter... One answer, deceiving, unprofessional and rude company. I advise everyone to not deal with these people at all.

    The staff here are a joke, completely unprofessional and rude. I witnessed staff talking down to other customers. Don't try going to another branch. The staff at the one on Schaad Road are worse. When I began asking questions regarding the paperwork I was being asked to sign on a loan that was less than ten days late, the manager became short, frustrated, and untactful. Please consider meeting your financial needs elsewhere. I have received better service at Walmart and McDonald's. My child has more manners than these people.

    Just know that I will never do business with this unprofessional company again, EVER. They have come to my home on many uncalled for occasions while I was experiencing hard times. I tried to explain to give them collateral but they wanted their money.

    Credit Central staff in Greenville SC is very rude. I tried to pay off my loan and they got mad. I recommend no one to deal with this company. I would rather do without than to go to this company for a loan. I will never do business with them again.

    I've been out of work since 10/22/15 due to surgery. They have called me every day since my payment came due. I ask them if I had disability insurance and they informed me that I did so I ask them to mail me the papers on 10/27/15 except I didn't get them, so they said they'd mail them again. I got them finally on I think 11/26/15 or 11/28/15. I got them filled out by my employer & the doctor & my portion. I take them to them to file on 12/3/15. She informed me that it would be denied because the doctor's office checked (no) on the form that I was not totally disabled. She didn't even file it. She followed me out the door after a fussing match inside once I told her not to call me again until this was handled.

    At that point she handed the papers back to me! I called the doctor's office and explained the situation and they told me they could not check no on the form because that was saying that I was totally disabled and social security would get involved at that point! She said they should have filed it and let the insurance company decide that and go from there! I wish I had never done business with them at all but once I'm back on my feet I will somehow get them paid off and never do business with them again!

    I have had a loan with this company off and on for about 4 or 5 years. The past loans were great and I was very seldom behind on payments. This current loan that I have with them, which was established in March 2014, I had some tough times toward the middle of this year, 2015. Yesterday, 11/28/15, I had the Manager and the Assistant Manager at my HOUSE asking for payment. Before that, they kept calling my work and my cell phone asking for payment.

    As we all know, times are hard and at this point I was almost two months past due. Tried to explain the situation to them, but they wouldn't listen. I'm not very comfortable with them coming to my house unannounced and the manager acted like he was trying to flex on me if he didn't received payment at my doorstep. After I pay them off, I WILL NEVER TAKE OUT ANOTHER LOAN WITH THEM AGAIN!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Columbia, SC Store, Two Notch Road!!! Also, I feel like my rights and fair act rights have also been violated.

    Credit Central, LLC of Greenville, SC located on Laurens Rd is awful. The Office Manager came to my home to state that he was going to have me locked up for a bad check. I don't have a checkbook nor have written one to this company. I submitted a complaint to ConsumerAffairs about this; they lied to say, "No, that's not what happened." I pay them off, they submitted incorrect information to the credit bureau; so I again issued a complaint. Please contact me so we can move forward with a group legal action if the above happened to you.

    These people are absolutely horrible. Once my loan is paid, I would never nor recommend anyone doing business with them... If you are a day late, they begin calling you repeatedly but not only do they do that, but they actually COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND LEAVE NOTICES ON YOUR DOOR!!! They came to my house several times. The later you are, the more fees they add. This is UNACCEPTABLE.

    I took out a loan with this company just to try to build my credit back to its original standing, after going through a bad divorce in 2005. I was forced into bankruptcy by my ex that literally ruined my credit. So I like to be very punctual when it comes to paying my bills on time. But for some odd reason I can't get online to pay my bill; it's very aggravating and completely unprofessional that I can't pay my loan without going through tons of red tape. Even after all of this the problem is not resolved. Very disappointing. Not likely to deal with this company again once my loan is paid in full. I use online payment for all my bills because I work nights - 10 hour shifts. Please fix this problem.

    I have Had a loan with Credit Central of Murfreesboro Tn in 2012. I had Awesome service with them. Even when I was late they have worked with me and had great Customer Service and before we relocated to SC we paid them off. Reopened in Newberry Sc 2014. I must say ** at the location is Awesome and has patience. She gives great customer service. She will call but she understands and she doesn't harass. We went thru some hard times 2014 and we paid late some months. They have worked with us but it was stressful and we paid late due to my husband losing his job last year. But we will pay them off in July and be done. I won't ever open up another loan with this Company ever again.

    I called the District Manager ** to complain. He didn't Acknowledge my complaints. He is very rude nasty and it was about that money and me being late. Why is he a district manager and he can't even handle complaints? That is part of his job. He gives Credit Central a bad name!!!! He is very IGNORANT... I have never been with a loan company that will come to your house 3 times a week. When you talk to them at your house they don't know when to leave. Even after you communicate with them they still Harass you. All because their Boss wants his Bonus check every week. Really!!!

    Don't make a mistake and pay them a few dollars short. You will get harass for five dollars oh and I do have a credit for 2 dollars. Thanks ** for not even wanting to listen to my complaints. I had to write a review because of you not handling your JOB!!! ** the supervisor of Newberry Sc has better CLASS than you!!! Y'all just want a good fight with y'all Customers. So sad. My Husband has exp in working as a Credit finance Manager. He knows the System and he also knows about Great Customer Service. ** he would Gladly give you some lessons!

    Very upset with this company. Took out a small loan for school expenses, starting making my payments regularly - monthly. Then I was transferring jobs & was late on my payment & the lady who did my paperwork went on a rant. Yelling & screaming - even while doing my paperwork - talking about how much money she made, very hateful attitude. She's now been harassing myself and my boyfriend. Also the branch manager is calling being very hateful! This is outrageous, you don't treat people this way!

    I filed my taxes with this company for the first time and was given one quote on my fees. When they came back, it was about $150 dollars more. I spoke with them and agreed to reimburse the preparation fee. I was told to come back the next day. It's been a week. Now they say they have to mail it. I will never do business with this company ever again. I will be sharing my experience with my social media friends to let them know how shady this company is.

    I have had a loan with Credit Central in Greenville, SC at the Laurens Rd. store. The employees there are very rude and lord forbid you get behind in your payment, they will call you and tell you that you HAVE to come into the office to speak to the manager. So when you get there, they act all nice until you make your payment then RICKY the ass. manager will yell at you at the top of his lungs and make your business known to all in the store and in front of your children. He don't care and when you stop by the manager's desk - STAN, he just laughs about it. I called corp. Got the situation handled but I promise you one thing, they won't talk or treat me like that again. EVER!!! TRIED TO TURN IT AROUND ON ME BUT IT'S COOL. I WOULD THINK RECOMMEND THIS LOAN CO. TO MY WORST ENEMY.

    I visited the Credit Central in Leeds with a friend that was approved for a loan. I just loved the atmosphere! Very friendly staff, the manager was awesome - very professional - but made sure she took her time and explain everything to me. Will most definitely some them some more customers - best customers service we have had in a while! They are on top of the list!

    Tuscaloosa, AL Store - Both my husband and I have used Credit Central before and paid off loans. This last time my husband got a loan, he went in for a payment (a few days late) and the store manager went on a rant (in front of other customers) about how he made time to come get the loan - that he should've made time to come pay it. She continue to disrespect him by saying, "I make more money than you, and you are a teacher." Luckily, it was my husband that dealt with this lady because he is more mild manner than I am. She (the manager) hasn't dealt with the right person yet. No one should deal with this sort of embarrassment when making any type of payments.

    I'm a customer with Credit Central at the Summerville, SC location. What was great about them was that the other lending companies were incredibly rude, including one I have previously borrowed from without incident. They're fast and the employees are amazing multitaskers. I have not received harassing phone calls nor visits to my home. Overall, it's a really decent customer experience. A lot of the other complaints I see are negative, so I thought I'd give a shout out to a good branch.

    I have been a customer for over a year now. I have never been more than a few days late on my payments. My due date this time came up on Sunday. It is now Monday, and I am sitting at work waiting for 5:00 to get here, because I will immediately be leaving work and driving to the airport for my flight out for Thanksgiving week. Credit Central called a little while ago, and insisted that I come in to the location and talk with a manager today! I told them I simply could not because I was going out of town, and that I would be in to pay them next Monday when I return. Lacey, the employee, then said "So you are refusing to come in." I said "No. I'm not refusing, I'm just not able to come in due to time constraints," and she said "I will put down that you are refusing to come in". I asked who her manager was, and she hung up. Another complaint I have about this location is if I don't pick up my phone the day they call, THE VERY NEXT DAY, THEY BEGIN CALLING MY CONTACTS!! When I get this loan paid off, I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

    Took out loans with Credit Central, started out very good experience. Ran into some difficulties paying recently, tried to get payoff amount for a consolidation loan to get the situation resolved. I was told by the manager he wasn't allowed to give me that information and he said "nice knowing you" and hung up on me. Now he won't return my phone calls to resolve the situation. This is Credit Central, Greenwood SC. Would not recommended them to my friends! Last visit to my house, they threw trash in my driveway as they were leaving. I have photos on my phone.

    I went into the office in Muscle Shoals, Alabama to make my payment on time with cash. I was $1.18 short. The person who took my payment was relatively casual about the situation. I assumed that all I would need to do would be add $1.18 to my next payment - instead, I was charged an $18.00 late fee and told that I was told that all late payments had late fees.

    I'm currently paying on a loan from this company and it's the office in Leeds Alabama. I can be pretty forgetful of the date that my loan is supposed to be paid on. They don't do reminder letters or phone calls until it's a day late. They get paid - never am I more than a week late. A referral I sent them is way behind and they can't get in contact with him and neither can I so they constantly harass me on my up to date account and his. I mean they call my cell and then call my job over and over and my account is current. I feel like I should stop paying just to justify them calling but that would ruin my credit that I’m building. I’ve talked to Matt who is the office manager and he said he does what he needs to do - it’s his livelihood. I'm so irritated. I would not recommend them again nor will I ever get another loan from them. They act like loan sharks.

    My fiancee made his payment @ Credit Central in Chesnee 4:10 10/12/2014. He put the money in envelope and put it under door. Well the lady who opened stole his money. It’s so hard to believe that they don't have cameras inside the office. I'm going around to the stores to see if they have any cameras to prove that he was there yesterday to make that payment. We will not make another payment until something is resolved or that lady gets a lie detectors test.

    I had a loan with them twice. The first loan I had was great. Had a great manager name Tom. Pay them off. I needed some more money and I went back and Tom was no longer there, he quit, so this new manager Rashida was there. I got the loan ok but they sent me a check in the mail and I call them to see if it was ok. They said yes so I put in my bank account and nothing was said. I make my payments on time. They call me about coming and renew and get extra money and miss my payment for October and not pay until November. This makes twice they done that. I call before I went. They said they would be ready for me. I drove all the way over and they were not ready. I had to sit there for a while then they told me I couldn’t do it and the manager Rashida got in my face and told me it was a mistake that check I got in the mail and told me I was not getting what I wanted that day. Once I get them paid off I will never borrow from them again.

    I am dealing with credit central in easily SC. My husband got hurt and was out of work and we missed a couple of payments. Soon after I missed the first one, they started harassing us and our family. We tried to trade the car in that the loan is for, they will not take the check from the dealers leaving us stuck with it. The people are very very mean, rude and have no respect for anyone. I will never do business with them again and will never tell anyone to go there for a loan. Thinking seriously about just taking the car there and leaving it.

    I previously worked for this company. I was constantly told that I was going to be a manager as soon as I learned their policies. I was an assistant manager and had to go out in the field to contact customers that we couldn't get on the phone. One day I was on my way out to a customer's house, when I was ran off the road and hit a telephone pole head on. Totaling my car. 5 weeks later, I was fired!! They didn't give me a reason at the time. But when I got the separation notice, it read that I had poor work performance. I had never been told I was doing a poor job, nor was I ever wrote up. Once I had a worker's comp claim, they got rid of me. Now I have to prove that they fired me for the wrong reasons. Ridiculous!!!

    I have been receiving calls from Credit Central. The funny thing is I have never ever heard of this place or ever had an account with them! Yesterday, Aug 5, a guy named Scott called my work 3 times! I kept telling him I have no account and to leave me alone! The third call he actually asked for MY MANAGER! Before the manager could take the call, he hung up. Then he has the gall to actually show up at my work! I told him I have no account with them. He wanted my ID and was saying He has a record of a Lisa In the deli. So he finally leaves. What’s real good is a few days before I called Credit Central and told them I keep getting calls at work and I have never had an account with them and they actually agreed with me saying I have no account. Then they still harass me! I have contacted an attorney and plan to sue!!!

    This loan company is one of the worst in terms of customer service. The other loan companies' personnel that I've dealt with have been very professional. This one doesn't have a clue what customer service is. I am only 2 days late with my payment because I had to work and they call and I remind them on the contract that after 5 days, it's a late charge according to the contract. The guy's response is there is no grace period and that is not on the contract. So to me, it seems like they are breaching their own contract. Hope to pay them off very soon and get these knuckleheads out of my hair and never do business with Credit Central ever again.

    In regards to what you exp I would go back in and pay off that account ASAP. I had a bad exp with this place as well and I paid off both my accts recently. Pay in cash because they will try and tell you we can't finalize your acct until your check or money order is clear in 15 days. They will try and keep you there because it makes them Look bad that you paid the acct off. Don't listen to their BS about how loyal you been to them etc. Pay it off and never look back at this place and as a matter fact run. Get all the documentations you can that day and hold on to them. Gerald ain't no manager, he is nobody to me. Heck, I'll go with you cause they don't scare me. This place changes stories all the time regarding their policies. Please ditch them ASAP.

    I have been a customer at Credit Central in Perry, GA for several years and the staff they have now is the absolute worse. I got behind on one payment and had a hard time catching up. Despite being a customer there since 2007, never being late on a single payment, the Manager and Assistant Manager were terrible. No matter if I called to make an arrangement or stopped by the office to make an arrangement, they still called several times every day. Even called my job. Really? The Assistant Manager tries to talk about he's trying to work with you while dogging the management, then turns around and tries to be rude and loud to the customer when the manager is around. Even had the nerve to say the previous manager (a man) "was not very good." He said the current manager (a woman) "isn't doing a good job."

    I came in the office several times and even came in to talk to him. He has never put anything in the computer. I came by to get my balance to pay it off on Tuesday. He claimed he would make a note of it. Lo and behold, the Manager and assistant were still constantly calling. So I called to ask if he put it into the computer that I was coming in to pay it off. He flipped out because the manager and the assistant were within earshot. He was loud saying I come into the office cursing and talking about his PO (whomever that may be?) talking bad about his boss and co-worker. He was yelling. Then he said, "I'm done."

    WOW. I called back and left a message for the manager to call me because I wanted to settle this. I have yet to receive a call back. Every other manager they have had there was friendly and willing to work with you. This one there now, is none of the above. She is loud and wants nothing more than for you to renew and add more payments to an existing account. I still have the money because it seems like the assistant manager would rather play the messy role instead of communicating. Oh, just my luck, he's the one in the office when I come in, so he was the communicator. Then I get a boatload of voicemails like they haven't heard from me, they call my references, and my job, and I'm like, Really? I would never send anyone there. Terrible and unprofessional staff.

    This has been by far the worst experience we have ever had with a loan company. We have made our payments on time up until my husband broke his back at work. When I called them to tell them why I could not come that day (I had Dr's orders NOT to leave my husband alone), the man on the phone acted like I was using my husband's injury as an excuse. I spoke to THREE people within one week to tell them I was coming on that Friday. On Friday, I received a call from Nick. He said he wanted to confirm since "they hadn't heard from me in a while." I told him I spoke to three people already, and his exact words were, "Yeah, whatever." Funny he uses a phrase from the movie "Clueless" since that seems to be what they are.

    Honestly, these people MAKE me NOT want to pay. I hate the thought of putting a dime into their paycheck. They don't deserve it. There is only ONE lady there I like dealing with. Every man I've talked to there has been a complete jerk. Not to mention, they harass me by constantly calling my job. Word to the wise... Don't give them your work number if you want to keep your job. They obviously need to learn the meaning of "customer service." By the way, I unchecked the "I want an attorney" because I already have one, and you better believe they'll be hearing from him.

    I live in Dickson, TN & I have had a loan with Credit Central for less than a year. I am late from time to time but I ALWAYS make my payments. FALON, the supposed to be manager, has been calling my ENTIRE family two to three times a day along with calling my cellphone from every cellphone & office line in she can call from. Today she started giving out information about my loan to everyone she called, which I know for a fact this is NOT allowed. I worked for a loan company before & all you are allowed to say is please have the customer call you back. I am not even ONE WEEK behind!!!! The woman has had the nerve to YELL at me over the phone & I will not stand for it any longer. I am thinking about filing a lawsuit against the branch. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever seen or dealt with.

    I've been a great client since 2007. Never did I once miss a payment nor did I mistreated any of the employees. Today, May 8, 2014, **, the branch manager of the Perry, GA office right off Washington Street treated me extremely horrible because I was wanting to pay off my loan. She literally begged me for 20 minutes to not pay it off because it would look bad on her record. After 20 long minutes, she finally decided to let me pay it off but she was extremely mad and was extremely rude like no other person has treated me in my 29 years of living. When I handed her the money, she snatched it from me and started hitting the computer keyboard. I was shocked of her behavior but stayed calm. When she was about to hand me my change, she literally threw it in my face and I still had to pick it off the ground.

    I honestly felt humiliated for doing what's best for me. I was speechless and all I could say was, "I cannot believe nor understand your behavior as a Branch Manager". As I was walking out, she yelled to me first, then apologized. Then the supervisor, a man that was listening to her and did not say a thing, tried to stop me and when he told me he was the supervisor of the office and I realized that he was the man who sat by the "Manager **" and didn't do a thing about the situation I was just angry at that point and walked straight out. If anybody could help me find a 1800 number of the company I would really appreciate it. The way I was treated by them today has no excuse. All I was wanting to do is pay off my loan.

    I live in Illinois. Imagine my surprise when a credit loan company that does not exist in Illinois showed up as past due on my credit report. And only for $100! I have never, ever, ever heard of this company. Never been contacted by this company, and would never use a payday loan company! Every time I call their offices, I get no answer. Getting ready to get a lawyer.

    Due to my losing my job, I became past due. When the first months payment became a few days past due the calls began. The calls were DAILY to my phone, my moms phone and my sons phone. I wrote a letter explaining my mom is 80 and not in the best of health and would they please stop calling her as she could not be of help in paying my debt. The letter was totally IGNORED as the calls kept coming DAILY and we counted 15 rings, normally, before they would hang up! I had told her to just stop answering, but it was upsetting to myself and my mom that they continued.

    On February 24, my son was home alone. He has been instructed NOT to answer the door if he is home alone and does not recognize who is at the door. My partner had taken me to a job interview. I get a phone call from my son, who was very upset. It seems that two people were BANGING on the door and window. He could hear two people talking but could only see a man outside. He said the man was hollering my name and banging on the door so loudly, he thought he was trying to break in. When I got home they had already left. My neighbor told me they had called her over to the fence and asked if I lived there and if I drove the green Mustang sitting in the drive? She said she had heard them over at her house banging and calling my name.

    I found an envelope in my door with a paper inside, stating that they were trying to collect a debt but the name/address/phone of the company had been TORN OFF. The next day, February 25, (the day the loan was going to be two months past due), a young lady came to my door. She was from Credit Central and I asked her if the man who came the day before was from her office? She said he was and got him on the phone. He said he had seen me at the mailbox and thought I was inside is why he kept banging on the door and calling my name. This man has NEVER seen me to know what I even look like, but says he saw me at my mailbox. He told me my neighbor had come over when she heard them and said I had just went inside. My neighbor says they called her to the fence.

    I borrowed money and went in their office this morning to pay three payments and get the payoff on the account. I asked for a supervisors phone number and was told by a David ** that the man who visited my home was named, Dennis. I explained to him that I was VERY upset that someone would come to my home to collect on a $600.00 debt and act like they did as if they were bounty hunters! I plan to sell whatever I have to, in order to finish paying off this debt and will NEVER have dealings with Credit Central in the future.

    I was told by David ** that they had not called my mom and her name had been taken off my account. As I told him, that was very UNTRUE, as three days prior they had called once and let it ring 15 times and called again the same day. I expected them to come to my home to attempt to collect even though I had written to them explaining that I was doing everything I could, but the way they handled themselves was OUTRAGEOUS and to the extreme. Beyond harassment!

    credit CENTRAL EASLEY SC - I do not have a loan there. Nor have I ever, and these people are constantly banging on my door, looking for my sister. Putting magnets on our cars. Letters on the door. They have been contacted and told to stop. She doesn't live here, and keep on harassing us. I called the office again today because Mike the manager called our house at 7:40 am. Was told once again to stop. He got really rude with me and hung up on me. Really they think they call us harass us. Then when I complain to him, he hangs up. Kept saying my dad gave us the address, I told him my dad has been dead for 13 years so no he didn't speak with you giving you this address or phone numbers, nor did he tell you my sister was living here. My sister is homeless, she pays what she can. Stay away from this company. Very bad business practice if you try to call and complain, there is no headquarters to contact.

    Someone without my permission used my private number on a loan from credit central (a relative). I ask that they quit calling my number as a contact because I didn't give permission. They told me they were going to keep calling and there was nothing I could do about it. I am very angry because I am 66 years old and can't walk to relay messages. I ask that they contact this person by mail and they wouldn't do it. I am not relaying any messages, end of story.

    A year ago around December 2012 I took out a loan with Central Credit or Credit Central as they are referred to as. The salesperson asked me if I wanted insurance on the loan to cover, death or lost of wages. The cost of this insurance was $125.00. I emphatically told her I did not want insurance. I was advised that in order to get the loan, I had to sign for it and then fill out a cancellation form and send it directly to the company. The salesperson gave me the form and envelope and watched me sign it. She advised me that I would hear from the insurance company in a few days. I left the office and went to the Post Office and mailed it.

    After I did not hear from the insurance company in 30 days or more, I went back to Credit Central. I was advised it takes a little while but I would receive a letter. I waited a few months longer and heard nothing. I then went into Credit Central and explained the situation to the then manager. I told him I had sent a cancellation form and he advised me that by the end of the loan he would take care of it. The following month when I went in to pay my bill there was a new female manager who had no clue to what I was talking about. I showed her a copy of the cancellation form I had originally signed in December 2012, explained to her what had happened previously. She then faxed a copy of it to the insurance company. The insurance company then reimbursed me $30.00 of the 125.00 dollars I was charged at the time I took the loan out.

    The next time I went into Credit Central I spoke with yet a new manager by the name of Jeff **. I asked Mr. ** why was I only reimbursed $30.00 of the $125.00 I had been charged. He replied that the insurance company prorated it. I advised him that it should not have been prorated due to the fact I cancelled the insurance on day one of taking out the loan .He was very rude. After some coaching he did agree to call the insurance company to find out why I was only reimbursed a portion of what I had been charged. Mr. ** put the insurance company on speaker phone. The insurance company advised Mr. ** that the 30.00 dollar reimbursement was not prorated, but it was their portion of the cost, and the balance was Credit Central's commission.

    Mr. ** was dumbfounded that I heard this, turned red and advised me he would contact his supervisor about what to do. I then realized that the reason Credit Central had unfairly and fraudulently pushed this insurance was because they received commission from what they charged customers. He advised he would get back to me. He never did. Thinking that Credit Central would refund my account their portion of what they charged me for insurance I did not want and had cancelled, which would pay my loan in full. I called Credit Central on 12/2/13. They now have a new manager by the name of Jerry **, who again had no idea of what I was talking about and was extremely rude.

    Mr. ** refused to listen to my situation, threatened to take me to court, and hung up on me. This local office would not give me a name or number of Corporate Office or manager who is head over them. Credit Central's managers are extremely rude, dishonest, operate fraudulent and unfair practices. I am asking that the least they do is refund my account the 95.00 balance that is the balance and commission of what they charged me for insurance on a loan that I cancelled.

    They harassed all of my references. They called and threatened to come to my job. Then I got a summons for small claims court even though I tried to work out an arrangement with them. Great!! Garnish me... And fyi, their employee Kim was an ex co-worker of mine that charged gas at the gas station by my job and never paid, borrowed money from me and several other co-workers and never paid. Then had the nerve to get pissy with me! Please. That is why I told the owners of the gas station where she worked and they plan on serving her!!! Good day!

    All I have to say is that I will never ever take out another loan with Credit Central. They treat you like a criminal when you get behind on a payment. The branch manager STEVE ** is very beyond rude. I have been in the office several times to make payment arrangement but oh no he refused. When I offered what I could pay it was not good enough. I have been harassed by the employees there on the regular. I had an employee show up to my job when I was pregnant. She was beyond nasty. Not only do they show up at your job they blow you up at work constantly. I almost lost my job because of them. Please take my advice and don't ever get a loan from them. Hell... they act like they physically went in their bank account and gave you the money.

    I understand collection process. I understand a business is not personally or intimately connected with a client and when money is owed, they want the money. I have been harassed nonstop by phone, visits to my home until my children are scared to go outside, letters every day, calls at my place of employment, my friends and relatives who I unknowingly listed as "references" are called and harassed with my personal account information. I am in the possible process of losing my job due to the phone calls, my friends and family know my personal/business information and my children are in fear of men we don't know entering our yard and standing on our porch. I have tried to make payments but they are "not enough" and "not acceptable". I have tried to regain my footing with the company since unemployment. They threaten me with wage garnishment, seizure of personal "assets" and court proceedings. I am at my wits end. When I pay it is not acceptable, when I don't it is unacceptable.

    OK, I have a loan with Credit Central - I wish to God I never did. OK I am behind a little bit but I have been trying to pay. But when you have people calling your friends and family everyday, then come out to your house and telling lies, then going to your work telling your business to your coworkers and actually stalk you... When you pull in your job, you getting letters or people waiting on you to get out of your car. OK when you get off at 10 or go in at 10 at night, that is scary. OK then, I left my car at my parent's house. And when my parents get home, the neighbors are telling them that there was a man beating on their door trying to get in their house and messing with my car. So I am afraid for my life because of these people. So I will tell everyone not to go to Credit Central in Easley, SC. If someone can help me to get these people to stop this, I would be grateful.

    I received a loan from Credit Central in Dickson, TN. I was behind and they called to remind me. After I made my payment they called the next day only to tell me I was $2.00 short and if I didn't bring it in that day I would be charged $15.00. I sent my daughter in to pay it the next day and they told her they could accept any payment that was past due from her it had to be from me personally. My daughter walked out the door and the store manager followed her out and told her that if I didn't make my payment the next day they were going to take me to jail. I called and let them know I was very upset with them for talking to my daughter that way and that by law if they decline a payment the debt is considered paid.

    They call my references all day everyday, instead of me, and have told them I'm behind and how much I owe and what my payment is, which is a violation of hippa. I've recently received a letter from an attorney to take me to court.

    I received a VERY small loan through Credit Central, Columbus Ga. I was making my payments on time each month, at the end of March I lost my job and informed them of that. I was 2 months behind in my payments, yes, I know I owe this company but they took it to the extreme! The branch manager came to my house at around 6:00 on a Friday evening, I was not home at that time, however a friend of mine was waiting outside my home for me. The branch manager approached my friend stating he had a writ of seizure (which was false, it was a paper printed of the computer). He continued to tell a THIRD PARTY exactly how much I owe, what my monthly payments were & how far behind I was.

    This is a CLEAR violation of the fair debt collection act!! It was very embarrassing for me. Not only did he break the law by giving out all my info, he produced false paperwork, and also threatened that the sheriff was on their way to allow him into my home to get the collateral!! I owe less than $400 and my collateral is worth WAY MORE THAN that!! Needless to say I will be speaking to an attorney regarding all the laws that were broken!

    My fiance took out a loan with our local Credit Central here in Elizabethton, TN. At the time, he was running a computer company and was able to pay it back. Because of the co-owners, the company went under and my fiance was out of a job. I have been trying for my SSI and haven't been able to work since 2010 (at least not a real job). We went in and explained this to them. They said they would work with us the best they could, but we still needed to pay them. This was September 2012. Every month after that, if we were a day late, they would start calling us wanting to know when we were going to pay. If we were more than 5 days late, they would call up to 3 times a day. Sometimes they would call our references as soon as they got off the phone with us. They call us and tell us we need to make a payment or ask us when we can pay. Then proceed to tell us we need to do something soon, when we are only about 2-3 weeks behind. Then tell us that my fiance needs to come into the office since he is the one on the account.

    When we go down there, they talk down to him and making him feel bad. He is doing everything he can to pay all our bills right now. He even puts off some bills to pay them every month, even if it is late, but they treat him like that. Last week, I answered the phone and they wanted me to tell him to come in, which he has stopped doing since they just want to belittle him. Then when I told the lady that I will see if he can since I never know when he is working or he is off, she proceeded to ask me why I am not working and what is wrong with me that I can't work to help him pay this off. They have no right to ask me this. I am not even on the account (which they have made a point to point this out to me). Even if I was, they have no right to ask me something that personal.

    Now we are not quite 2 months behind and they are threatening to take our collateral. I believe they have to take us to court first. They are trying to say they can just come on in and take it. But if I am not mistaken, they have to take us to court first. We do understand that we owe them money and don't need the constant reminder. Yes, they have been nice a few times to us. There have been times they offered to come pick me up to bring a payment in because we have no car right now, I have a bad back and have a hard time walking to town. I can't say they are totally butts. When you pay them, they are sweet or when they know you have the money to pay, they offer every way in the world to help you get there. But when you can't, they will harass you.

    I have a loan with Credit Central. I lost my job in November and I went in personally and talked and talked with the manager who is Felicia and explained my financial situation. On May 14, 2013, about 4 pm, an associate from Credit Central came to my house and knocked like he was not going to leave until someone came to the door. I went to the door and he asked why I hadn't been in the office. I told him my situation and, may I add, I was not even 2 months behind and he asked if he could verify the collateral. I told him yes. So he went to get his clip board that had my info. And he came in and followed me to my bedroom to verify a laptop. Then he looked at the TV and said that the TV was not on the list and he pulled my TV from the wall without me saying it was okay and started to add it to the list. I told him he could not do that, and he said he was doing his job. I told him to leave. I feel so violated. I felt as if I had no say so in my own place. I have been dealing with this company for about 3 years, maybe longer, and I have never been more than two or three weeks late and I feel like what took place was wrong on May 14, 2013.

    I have been doing business with this company for some years (me and my husband). I got sick and started falling behind on my payments. I got them caught up and I got back real sick. My husband had lost his job, so we were put in a bind and I let them know we filed bankruptcy. From that day forward they have been calling every person I used as a reference I had on there, telling them I need to come in and pay them or they are going to file charges against me and my husband. They would call me and him 3-5 times a day. We told them the attorney's name and everything, and it has really gotten the best of me.

    I received a check in the mail and I cashed it knowing of the interest, but there was no mention of no other charges. And when I was only 3 days late with a payment, they were calling my contacts and job. They screamed at me and cussed at me. One time I was in the hospital, in the heart center, and he said he didn’t care if I hang up - he will call my room and my job. He told my manager when my manager told him to contact me outside of work that he would keep calling till they fired me. He told my daughter the same thing and he said he would make sure they fired my **. He wasn't going to stop. He called back again. I was in the hospital with a stroke. She told him to leave me alone because of my health, and we had to cut both our phones off because he kept calling at all hours and coming to my job calling my fellow workers liars when they told him I was not there. Please please don’t deal with these people. They are heartless and rude.

    I have to say that I have also done business with Credit Central of Aiken, SC. They have been extremely fair to me! I have been late on a couple of payments, but when they asked me to contact them by my due date if I needed a little time, I honored that commitment and was never harassed or called between the time we communicated (which was always on my date due) or visited at my home or job! They always lent me the ash I needed when it was available, and I also understood they had a job to do. Companies like this are there to help us folks when other banks won't because of our past credit experiences!

    Folks, at the time I made my loan with them, they asked me to call them in the event I had trouble making my payment on my own personal due date. I figured they were good enough to help me in my time of need when I had no place else to turn, so the least I could do was remember my own due date and call them when I needed a time extension! I would bet, and be a rich man if I could put my bet on, that most of you guys did not honor that commitment after you signed your contract, and they went over your terms with you!

    I read contracts and there is no grace period at all which helps keep you from eventually paying more interest, but there is a late charge, at least in South Carolina after you are ten days past due. These folks are busy everyday helping people like you and I, so let’s cut them a break and remember our own due date, and call them then if we need more help from them like a time extension. They are not babysitters of the financial game; they are lenders which we know going in.

    All 19 of these complaints I see here, I bet, is because folks simply didn't do what they ask of them when they signed contracts and gladly accepted a loan of hundreds of dollars then! Why can't we appreciate that enough to do for them what they ask especially since they helped when we needed it? Just food for thought! Did you do what all you agreed to do on your day with them when you accepted their money? Be honest with yourself and ask yourself that question! God bless you all.

    I have an account with Credit Central. I've had it for almost 2 years now. My sister also has an account with Credit Central, and she put me as a reference. For about 6 months now, they have been calling and harassing me for her. They are very rude; they cussed at me a few times. I went in to sit down and politely tell them to take me off her reference list. They didn't even ask me if I wanted to be put as her reference. I don't even talk to my sister at all for nothing. It’s Credit Central of Roanoke AL 36274. My name is Jamie **. I am very upset and something needs to be done about this.     The Credit Central in Dillon, SC keeps telling everybody that they think they know me. I needed to come in and make a payment. They told my sister-in-law how far behind I am, and that they needed to see me in the office right then. They came up in my mother-in-law’s yard and blew the horn. She is 77 years old and they got her all upset. They also call people that I know on their cell phone and give all my information to them about my bill. They have very nasty people in the office.

    I started doing business with Credit Central due to a check they sent me to use as a non-secured loan. It was a small check (less than $700.00) and the details were kinda sketchy, but I did the basic math and figured a max interest of 27% for 1 year. I did not expect a $235.00 loan processing fee on top of a 27% interest rate on a short term loan made the payment $95.00 monthly - due on the 8th I believe it was. I had a problem with my checking account, which caused my check to be returned, which I caught before they even got the check back. I handled it with my bank, but was told they did not resubmit checks and the fee was $30.00 as per state retirements. I told them I could not pay them an additional $30.00 that month because I did not have the money. I was told there would also be a $15.00 fee as that $30 was now a part of my past due payment.

    I began making a little extra on my payments to make up the difference and have made no headway at all. I have not missed a payment; however with the additional charges, I am now $80.00 behind on payment. I am told my $95 payment is now past due in the amount of $179.00. I am also being called continuously and have been forced to block the calls on my cell phone to prevent additional charges. They are now stating they have a decision to make. As it stands now, it is to accept regular payments or get nothing unless attitudes change. I am now hearing I had better get down there and settle this. I have nothing to settle and will continue making my scheduled payment. Tired of the **.

    This company does not care at all if you can put food on your table for your family. When things happen to finances or jobs, if you are late or cannot pay your bills, they do not work with you. They are rude and hateful. They downgrade you and humiliate you. They harass you or your contacts and show up to your house daily. They even try to call you from personal phones to trick you. This is an awful company and if you have any finance problems, do not use them. They will not work with you under no means.

    I haven't been able to pay on my account because my husband is out of work. They have harassed me on my job even after I have asked them not to because I can get fired. They have stuck papers for me on the doors, AT&T job, even when we were closed. Another employee got them and opened them; this is a HIPPA violation. Also today, I went by to talk to Steve in Aiken, SC and tell him I don't have anyone to pay. He told me in front of my 21-year-old daughter that he will pay $25.09 out of the register there to bring my account out of delinquency, just don't tell anyone that he did that. This, I know, is illegal. I think that this is fraud to keep him out of trouble and should be rectified

    I have an account with Credit Central, and after being a day late, they called my cell phone which is okay. But when I could not answer the telephone at work because I was with a client, they then called my job phone which I still could not answer for the same reason. By the time I finished with my client, before I could pick up the telephone to call them back, they started calling my references. If this was the first time I dealt with this company, that would be one thing but it is not. When I asked if they would give me a chance to call them, the woman was very rude and stated, "You don't have a grace period. You should have called us and we can call anyone we want to." I just don't want to be treated like a criminal because I am one day late making my payment.

    The reason I am writing this is because I would like for them to know that in Beaufort, SC, they are known to be very rude and I didn't realize how bad until I mentioned what happened to a coworker and they reported that several people stopped going to their establishment because of that reason. I feel that before you are rude to your faithful customers, they need to take on another attitude. One day, you might find your self out of business or on the telephone trying to track those people down that have no intentions on paying them at all.

    You don't have to worry about me because I will never take out another loan once this one is paid and I will do everything in my power to see that it is done as soon as possible. Whatever mailing list that I might be on, I would like to be taken off. I would never ever refer someone to use this company. And what's so crazy is after reading the other reviews, this is their way of doing business. So sad.

    My son has a loan with this company and he got behind a payment. He is only like 2 payments to pay it off. I went in there to pay one of the payments and the girl refused to take the payment. She said I had to pay them both. After that, the manager Tina keeps calling wanting a payment. I told her that we had talked to our lawyer about her refusing to take the payment from me. She was not supposed to refuse - that is what the lawyer said. Don't ever go to New Tazewell to get a loan. That manager does not need to be there. She is very rude to people.

    They have recently changed management at this office. The new management is extremely rude. They call you at work even though you ask them not to. My payments are current; they called and said I was $15.00 short on my payment. When I said I would include it with next month's payment, the lady I spoke to got very belligerent.     I have had a loan with this company for almost a year. I was paying on time until I got sick and had to take some days off from work. Felicia was calling me about my payment. I have no problem with that. The problem comes in when she starts to call my job. She called my job one day and they told her I was not at work. She then hung up the company phone and tried to call me off of her personal cellphone. I tried to tell them that she had just called and talked to me when I was called at home by my coworker. I then called Felicia and told her don’t call me at my job. She then tried to say that she didn’t. I called the head office to speak to someone about this matter. The person who is over the office I had the complaint told me if I would have answered the phone, then she would not have called my job. She then told me that calling my job twice a day is not illegal.

    I had my taxes done in your Andalusia, Alabama Credit Central as a first time customer and was treated very nicely. I was told 3 to 10 days. Now it’s 22 days later and still have no check and no reason as to why. They are very unprofessional on the phone and refuse to give me the number to the corporate office. I was a first time customer. I will never use them ever again, and if I have my way I wouldn’t pay the prep fee or nothing if you tell a customer a time to deliver and don’t. You should be shut down because there is no business without a customer. Thanks.

    On February 1, 2012 around 5:23 pm, I went into Credit Central on 1018 Main St. in Newberry, SC to make a payment for a friend. I was greeted by a young lady and she asked what she could help me with. I responded that I needed to make a payment for someone. She pulled that person's account up and told me what amount needed to be paid. I told her that I was told to make her lower payment. She asked her manager what to do. He told her to take the payment, but he told me that I should tell my friend that she needed to call or come immediately!

    The other guy asked me if I have a contact number for her. I told him that I wouldn't give him her number, but I would relay the message. The manager then asked if he could get my name. I asked him, “For what?” He raised his voice and said, “Just forget it!” He told the CSR to refund me my money. He told me to let my friend know that she's expected to come by ASAP to clear her debt. He said that she could do whatever she wanted with that $100 shopping etc., but she needed to clear her debt or he would see her in court! I feel it was very unprofessional of him to release all of this information. I've been informed by someone else that he's gotten an attitude with several other customers! Something needs to be done about him or he's going to run all the customers off!

    I had previously lived in Athens, TN and had done business with the Credit Central there for a couple of years. The staff in Athens was more than exceptional and I actually enjoyed seeing those people each month. I moved to Cleveland, TN this past February and was transferred to the Cleveland, TN Credit Central. Their staff is extremely rude. They have lost a faithful and on-time paying customer as the moment I am able to pay off this current loan. I will do so and will never return to do business with them again.

    Upon making a payment this past Monday, Nov. 7th, the manager at this location was extremely rude to me when I simply inquired that if in the future I would be a day late on paying, if there was a grace period. Not only did he rudely tell me “no”, he also told me that I was more than welcome to pay off my loan today. My contract clearly states the payment is not late until 5 days past the due date, as I read it carefully upon returning home. Although this company is for persons with less than perfect credit, I still believe we should be treated with respect. And if they expect to keep customers, they will positively need to learn the definition of customer service!

    Store manager, by the name of Vergie, is extremely rude to customers including the entire staff and DM as well. She and the staff get upset when you don't want to rewrite because they need their numbers to be up. It doesn't matter if you are 1 day late; they take all their frustration out on you because others are not coming in. This is totally unacceptable behavior.

    I applied for the loan close to Christmas last year. When I really needed to rewrite the loan because I needed the extra cash, I was told by Vergie, because of our little spat because I didn't rewrite when she needed me to, I couldn't because I worked for a financial institution already, which she already knew when I applied for the loan in the beginning.

    When speaking with the DM of that particular branch, I was told by him, clearly, that she or her staff do not have to kiss my ** to receive my business. I then assumed that the two of them were friends. He was also extremely rude, and I assumed from the way I was talked to, that it was very disrespectful.

    Upon paying the account out, I was told that my account had a block on it, therefore, I couldn't receive any extra money nor could I pay my account at Alabaster location. Upon calling Alabaster location, I was told that I had to pay in my own area code. That account is paid off entirely, and I hope I can help others with the rude experience I received in the Bessemer branch.

    Their customer service is very nasty and not friendly at all. I hope that nobody gets a loan with them because they don't respect their customer. The only one who did was Roger and he is not there anymore. I want to see new people in there who is going to respect us when we have a problem, not give us the third agree on some that we couldn't handle. I used to pay my account on time until we got a new company. The paycheck is no good and they have to hold it for ten days.

    I was contacted by a loan company about a late payment. The customer service person was very rude. He was yelling and shouting and telling me that I BETTER come down and talk to him. He was not the manager. I am getting a short check and waiting on unemployment. He stated that he would come to my job and take my collateral if I didn't come in. He made me have a breakdown in front of my child. My nerves are already bad because of the lowering of my hours at work. I do not want to harassed by this man or the company again.

    The problem that I am having with this company is the manager was very nasty with me. Before I renewed my loan I asked did I have unemployment insurance. I was told that I didn't have unemployment insurance. The unemployment insurance was taken off my contract with them. I also asked will the insurance be add back to my account. I was told that the unemployment insurance won't be add back to my account until I start making my payments. I was told by another loan company that the insurance was suppose to be add when I ask for it.

    Mrs. M know that I didn't have a job at the time and I was just drawing unemployment because I was just laid off from my job. I tried to explain this to her. All she wanted me to do is bring in more money to renew the loan. She told me that she will take me to court and I told her okay. I have dealt with Mrs. M nasty attitude long enough. She is tell everybody about my account. That shouldn't be anybodies business mine. I think something should be done.

    i am writing concerning the harassment by the employees they r asking me to pay a loan that shows in my credit report as paid and i have told them that they lied and told a family member that i applied for a loan to get a cellphone number they have a hiuse number the cell they call belongs to someone else. its only for emergencies and when i asked them not to call that nuber anymore and then robbie the manager who i was speaking with said he didnt care who's damn phone it was they were going to call it.

    i asked them nicely not to call and so did the owner of the phone. that number has set amount of minutes and if they go over i have to pay extra.and i dont appreciate robbie cussing at me telling me he was going to blow up that cellphone.i work everyday in fast food i work anywhere from 9-12hrs. a day. they call my job five and six times a day when my store manager told them we r not allowed personal calls unless in the event of a emergency all they can do is takea message.
