After receiving more than a dozen calls from Convergent, I used my phone's call blocking feature to capture calls from those pests. Now, whenever they call me, all they get is a busy signal. If your phone has that capability, I suggest you use it to stop annoying calls.

On 4/14/2011 I sent a check to ER Solutions for a credit card. My account was with HSBC card services. My balance was $2124.75. I sent them a check for $1062.38. For Settlement in full. I thought that that was the end of it. I am now being contacted by lawyers that I owe $1453.36. Why am I paying more when I payed what they wanted. I am trying to pay my debt off. They should have said something about it. Not wait 3 years later.

From my understanding Convergent Outsourcing and ER Solutions are one in the same company, which I didn't know when I first started researching this problem, but it makes it seem worse now. I checked my credit report September of 2013 (last year) and noticed two collections from ER Solutions, but both for the same company, Comcast. One was over $500 and the other was over $300, they were both put on my credit reports back in 2008 and were scheduled to fall off in 2015. I disputed them through the three credit bureaus and they were both removed from my all three of my reports in October of 2013, due to it being fraud and I never had any knowledge of having an account with Comcast (I was only 20 and still living at home with my parents who did not have Comcast).
I also put up a fraud alert and it was scheduled to be removed in February of 2014. I decided to check my three credit reports again a few weeks ago and noticed that Convergent Outsourcing has a collection on there for $241 for Comcast again. It shows that they put it on in May 2014, but it also shows that it falls off of my reports in March 2015, which would mean that it is one of the same accounts that I spotted last year on my reports that were removed, just for a different amount and under a different debt collection company (though, as I found out, it's actually the same company, just with a different name).
Reinsertion of previously deleted information is regulated under the FCRA only in situations where the previous deletion resulted from a prior dispute where the accuracy was not verified. In those situations, no party can reinsert the previously deletion information unless they first provide a certification of the accuracy of the information to the CRA. If such a reinsertion is made, the CRA is required to send written notice to the consumer of their reinsertion based on receipt of a certification of accuracy. See FCRA 611(a)(5)(B).
If the prior deletion was due to lack of verification of my prior dispute, the issue would then be whether the debt collector provided a certification of accuracy along with their reporting. If they had provided a certification, I should have received notice of the reinsertion from the CRA. I never did receive a notice of reinsertion, that's why I thought everything was taken care of, until I finally checked my credit reports again and then receiving a notice for collection from this company a week later. I don't think this is right, they shouldn't be able to try again almost a year later, if the first two were removed completely due to fraud. I even received a letter last year from one of the credit bureaus, which showed that everything was removed and taken care of.
I have filed a complaint with the BBB, disputed this again with the three credit bureaus, and have also set up another fraud alert. I think Convergent was able to swoop in under the credit bureaus radar, because they now have a different name (used to be ER Solutions), and they are asking for a different amount than before with a new starting date. The only thing they didn't change (or couldn't) was the fall off date, which is still March 2015. That gave me a clue that it was an old, previously removed account. I just find it funny that they waited till my fraud alert had ended, which shows how slimy of a company they are.

They have left messages for my adult daughter on my home phone. The messages do not give the company's name or a return phone number. It's one of those irritating computer generated calls. I had to hunt high and low and finally had to become a "skip tracer" to get the name and number for these creeps to tell them to stop calling me. The guy who spoke to me said that they had a 'business matter with my daughter'. He said it was from 2007... This is 2014! These rear ends will grovel and belly crawl through raw sewage to wring a dime out of a dead dog. They should be put out of their misery for the sake of humanity.

On 10/10/13, I received a letter from Covergent Outsourcing, Inc. stating that they are collecting on a debt of mine with the original creditor being Providian National Bank. The only time I ever had a credit card with Providian was one that I opened in 1993 and paid in full in 1998. Of course, I have no record of these payments since this was 15-20 years ago. The credit limit on this account was $100, and yes, due to being an irresponsible kid, it did go to collections for non-payment before I paid it off in 1998, along with several hundreds of dollars of interest.
The letter I received today states that I owe $6,247.64, but conveniently does not state what the original debt amount was, or when it originated, only that it was through Providian. I called them to tell them that I do not owe anything and to provide proof - any kind of document showing that this account was opened by me, when, and for what amount. They said that since it was so long ago they don't have any of this information, but "If you don't pay us, we will come to your job and put you in jail."
No kidding, that is exactly what the phone rep said before hanging up on me. First of all, even if I did owe this debt (which I do not), debtor's prisons do not exist, at least not since Charles Dickens was alive. Also, since they freely admit that they have no proof of this debt, how in the world can they be so certain that I owe? I suppose I am lucky that they don't somehow have this on my credit report (although it was, despite being paid off, for many years) but this is absurd. How is this sort of nonsense allowed to take place?

I received a statement from ER Solutions, Inc. concerning a Regions Bank debt on an account that I have never owned. I have tried calling ER Solutions but they have hung up on me thrice when I tried to communicate that the account is not mine. I did have a Regions credit card which has been paid in full. ER Solutions calls and harasses my parents even though they have my correct contact information. This is showing up on my credit and is not correct. What do I do?

This company calls me every few days using an auto dialer. When I press the number to speak to someone, I get a recording telling me they are too busy and to leave a message. I do not owe any money to them so I tried to tell them to stop calling my number as it is a brand new phone number and they continue to auto dial me every few days. I cannot get them to stop.

My caller ID shows ** and E R Solutions. They call daily using an automated dialer and leave an automated message asking for person I have never heard of. They say if this is not the person they are looking for to hang up, which I do, but it has not stopped the calls. I do not have any debts and know no one with even a remotely similar name that they care calling for, and I have had this phone number for nearly ten years. So they obviously are calling the wrong number. I just started keeping track of their calls yesterday, but my phone records would likely show the other times they have called. I am keeping a record of their calls. It’s bothersome and upsetting. I feel helpless to stop them. It hasn’t cost me any money, but I would love to sue them for punitive damages.

These people billed my Century Link account for $14.95. When I called them at 888-300-3724, they told me that somewhere on the internet, I filled out some forms requesting their services. No Way! It is a voice mail service that never would happen, because Century Link would receive the voice mail before ESBI ever could. A service that never happens! My guess is I never read the license agreement for an unrelated form that I may have filled out.
Upon calling ESBI, they gave me a confirmation number to give to Century Link and Century Link then removed the charge and them told me that all future "third party providers" would be blocked. We'll see.

I had contacted ER Solutions on 5/21 regarding a Sprint account. I had owed a balance of $696.37 and had received a settlement letter of $348.19. The letter stated if I want this offer, I have 45 days to call. So I called today letting them know I will be sending out a payment next Friday. The woman told me I had to pay it now over the phone. She went on to tell me that I had 45 days to dispute it. When I told her I was calling to "let you know that I was accepting your offer," she then asked me for my bank or credit card info, so she can post for next week and I refused. I told her I will make the payment and will need a letter letting me know our agreement. She then told me that no, that's not how it works, that ER will send me a letter after I pay. I felt that she was scamming me and told her forget it. I'll pay it when I can. I also noticed that I can pay through their website but they have the full balance, not the settlement amount. It would have been easier if I could pay it online and feel better knowing that I could have printed it out that it was paid. Having a peace of mind is the last thing this creditor wants for those willing to pay.

On May 2009, I moved out from my old home and on June 1, 2009, I moved to new location. In that period, I spoke with one Verizon's representative about my moving and requested my basic FIOS service to be moved to my new location in same town. On 25 June 2009, from my new location, I cancelled (second time) FIOS services at my old location and ask for new service at my new home. My new telephone was given to me on same day Verizon order NJ00027417401.
On 8 September 2009, I received a bill relating to my old address, in the amount of $262.50 payable by Oct 5. On 23 September 2009, I received another confusing bill in the amount of $185.87. On 21 October 2009, I spoke with Verizon, Mr. **, conf # DIRJ16370. Mr. ** evaluated my case and concluded that some errors were made, I overpaid the old account and the refund was sent to me in the amount of $95.69. Verizon sent me Revised Final Bill, Total Amount Due was $0.00.
I assumed all was clear! As of today, ER Solutions Collection agency reported me to the credit bureau for overdue non payments. I made my efforts to solve this confusion by requesting details! Verizon did not want to discuss, referred me to talk with collection agency who arrogantly reports me without making any effort in explaining the charges!

I contacted ER Solutions on 2009 to try to settle a debit with HSBC credit card. They advised me that they would accept a settlement in installments (which was what I was offering at that time). Ok, I didn't have the payment in full as they wanted, so I forgot about it for few months. Then, in 10/08/2009, they sent me a letter with an offer for a settlement. I accepted but could not pay it in full, so I wrote them a letter explaining my reasons for not being able to pay it in full but I also sent 2 checks (with 2 weeks apart due dates) to pay the settlement. They deposited my checks and never contacted me back which made me assume that they accepted my terms.
Today, 01/11/2010, I called just to make sure that I was clear with them and to my surprise I am not! After letting me wait for more than 30 minutes on the phone, they said that they only applied my payments to my previous balance (before settlement) and I still owe them in full. I am suing them. If they did not accept my payment, they should not have taken my checks and they should have sent them back with an explanation! I am suing them with the credit bureau! What a scam! Of course now I owe more than when I started and it is simply wrong. All the consequences that you can imagine!
