I've been a customer for a few years. I started in Santa Maria and they screwed up in putting in my account wrong so I was penalized which it was their fault so I transferred to Arroyo Grande and applied for another loan and everything was was great. Never late. It was always taken out of my bank every pay period which was great because I didn't have to drive to the store to make a payment. Just this month 12/16/19 I check my bank statement and saw they took out two payments at once. I called to ask why and I was told they forgot to take the payment at then end of 11/2019 so that's why they decided to take double payments in 12/2019.
Which I still have another payment due at the end of 12/2019 and I won't be able to pay it because they screwed up in NOV and took out 2 payment now in DEC and April told me two girls who work there had been fired so that's why the payment wasn't taken out. I told her that's not my problem, that's the company responsibility and because they screwed up I have to pay the price and figure how am I going to make this month payment. I'm sure there are a lot of customers that they did this to this month and knowing it's xmas and everybody is on a budget. So in other words April was telling me, OH WELL NOT HER PROBLEM.
I currently have a installment loan through CC Bank serviced by Check 'N Go, I needed to change my due date due to some other obligations, however nobody is able to do so. Now I have to go to my bank and cancel all the automatic debits and pay them another way. Very frustrated they don't have to access to update a due date.
Jennifer, at your Plainfield store, is always polite and professional. She is very efficient and can answer any questions I may have. I'm always treated with respect. It's nice to see the same person at your store when I come in once per month. For a while there was someone new every month. So, it's nice to see Jennifer every month.
I took out a $2000 payday loan from ChecknGo less than 2 weeks ago and when I went on their website yesterday to pay it off, there was no way to do so. I was at work so I did not want to use my break time to call customer service to pay it off so I emailed them instead, requesting the payoff amount. I was giving a total of about $2155 and was advised that interest accrued daily so that amount was only good if I wanted to pay it off “today.” So I responded immediately, around 1pm, authorizing the debit from account. Needless to say, this shady company ignored my authorization and allowed another day to go by before responding! At that time, they advised me that now the payoff amount had gone up more than $20 so my new payoff amount was $2180! Unbelievable! These shady practices need to be more closely regulated to protect consumers.
So i use this product consistently because it is needed until a certain time period. My bills are set up for auto pay so they get automatically charged. Multiple things got charged so i was dollars short for my repayment and it didn't go thru. I wasnt immediately notified about it either and found out just when i went to reapply. I set up a payment to pay it all on the website and it said it was scheduled. No payment ever got charged and it continued to add the days it was due. Then i paid directly with my debit card but while processing, still continues to add each day of being late.
When the payment is finally confirmed (after about 3-5 days) i try to reapply. I can now NOT reapply and their reason is history with creditor (which is them) i was late unintentionally and tried making a plan to which the system confirmed but never charged. Now i cant reapply because of the one late time and like i said im a consistent user. These processes are easy to try to apply but usually denied. Then theres the constant system or communication gaps and now i cant get the help i need. Definitely dont plan on trying again. Thought to share my experience so this gets fixed for the next customer.
Well trying to keep this simple and in a nutshell. Don't go there. I gave him a one-star because I took my son up there to have his check cashed and he was lied to and said that they could not cash the check however they could put it on a NetSpend card. We did not ask for that. We thought we had to do it and now it's been 5 days and he still has no paycheck on that card. In my opinion Check 'n Go is in with NetSpend. It is all a scam to get people to sign up. It's wrong. It's unethical and wrong.
I have used the Germantown, WI. location a few times and the experience has always been fantastic. Penny has made the loan process, quick, easy and painless. She is always, polite, professional and friendly. You are never charged a fee if you repay the loan early. Penny is wonderful to work with, she makes sure that you understand the process, makes sure that you have the amount you need and that you are comfortable with the repayment amount. I highly recommend the Germantown location and ask for Penny!
I attempted to apply for a payday loan online and kept getting an error msg saying I already am an account holder. So I called the nearest store near me because I'm desperate to know details of this account and the agent rudely transferred me off to someone and turns out to be the online service. So I explain to the man what I am calling for, give him the last 4 of my SSN and name and then he proceeds to tell me I had a loan back in Sept 2010 $14. As I try to tell him how crazy that sounds and ask how to get this cleared up, he continues to tell me I had this loan, so I had to raise my tone to get him to listen to what I was saying, and asked to get me to the correct dept so I can get this cleared up. He transfers me to a Feedback dept.
The lady says she can take my complaint, I say no this is much more serious than a complaint and a case of identity theft and I need to speak to whoever it is I need to to discuss this. She tells she handles and still asking me for a complaint or feedback about the situation and I have a major problem with that. How do you as a business take situations as such lightly like that. I had my identity stolen in 2010 and every now and then something pops up outta nowhere and I've gotta get it cleared. This here is another and these people only offer me a dept to leave feedback? Are you serious, so they just allow anyone to use other people's identity to open accounts and it's just nothing to them and leave your name slandered in their database. This is not ok.
Got approved online, went into store and gave them the requested info: check stub, bank statement, references, ID and pick up the cash like the email confirmation said to do. Then store manager says, "We cannot give you the cash." No explanation given, even though I asked why. Then customer service numbers did not even have any record of my application. Next I was informed it was the store's responsibility to inform me of why I was not approved. Called the store back and manager says, "We cannot tell you why." I believe I was approved, and the manager is taking the cash for himself and I will have a bad mark on my credit for this place later on.
If I was approved online, I should have been able to walk in and get the cash - easy. But that was not the case. They played me big time. Either he took the money for himself and is walking around town with my thousand bucks, or he stole my identification and is going to use it elsewhere. I am extremely disappointed and fuming after this incident. They have to be a scam.
Went to the Deer Park location and Michelle was so helpful!!! So was very cheerful and made the experience so easy!! Will definitely come back to Deer Park if I need anything else!! I walked right In and she greeted my husband and I with a smile!!!
I took out a installment loan of $2525 with an interest of 215% percent. I paid in interest about $3,800 in interest only for about 8 months and then when I called to pay it off I still had a balance of $2,100. Think first before you get a loan here, they take advantage of people with emergencies, also they most of them are very rude. I hope this help you to not get a loan in this place. Is not worth it.
Check 'n Go on Henry Street in Muskegon, MI has always been there for me. They are courteous and professional, with a smile. :) The finance charges are the lowest I have found. I recommend anyone who needs a cash advance to go there, you won't be disappointed!
So I took out some online payday loans in the past, but this review is of the most recent experience. I actually think Check 'n Go did a fairly good job with my payday loan. I took out 100 dollars and paid back 117.64 after a little less than a month. The only thing I find strange about the experience is that I was never emailed a payment confirmation. I actually had to purchase a domain to gain access to my email on file. So overall that was kind of a bummer. But at the same time, now I have another domain name. So yeah.
I read online somewhere that payday loans are not a long term income solution, which is true. However, I feel like this same description applies to ANY loan. For me, the payday loan was a way to get money when I was broke, have some cash, and then pay the bill for it later. In that sense, the payday loan worked for me. The online experience, however, did leave a bit to be desired. The FAQ on the website is very incomplete and doesn't describe the process for repayment very well and the website also doesn't list dates of past loans or their repayment dates.
I was also actually billed 2 days after my scheduled pay off date. This may not seem like a big deal, but it kind of was, because I had to buy absolutely nothing for 2 extra days. But overall I'm giving Check 'n Go 5 stars because mostly if you are smart about how you log in and sign up, with a permanent email you will always have access to (unlike how I did it), the experience is a pretty good one. I'd recommend this service to an extent, but if I did it again I'd go to a loan location and not online.
I have been a loyal customer to Check 'n Go in Sallisaw, Oklahoma and the new manager (Misty **s) is very rude and disrespectful. So I decided to file a formal complaint with customer service with corporate office. I got a call from the district manager (Michael). I told him how I was being treated by the manager at the Sallisaw Check 'n Go location. And then he started yelling and cussing me out saying she is not that kind of person and that she is professional. I guess Check 'n Go corporation approves this kind of immature behavior.
The district manager (Michael) doesn't appreciate or value his customers. I contacted Corporate again to file a complaint against the district manager. Asking if someone higher up could resolve this. No customer or any human being should have to put up with mistreatment from management or employees of Check 'n Go. I will never do business with the Sallisaw, Oklahoma store location. Check 'n Go has lost a loyal customer.
Always get very good service at the location on 821 Coliseum Blvd. Suite 3. ** is very helpful every time I go in. Very professional and very knowledgeable. It is not the closest to where I live but I go to the other location because of ** and the service is give the customer.
I make it there on the bus around 15 minutes before closing, EVERY TIME, the lady gives me some speech about how I need to get there sooner. If I come in before you close you have an obligation to help your customers. I don’t need a speech about how your manager is getting on you about overtime. You close at 6 so I’m there before you close. Not only that, they never have cash, their check printing isn’t working and they try to offer you a Netspend card. The Netspend cards don’t work very well, they get declined at the Safeway ATM terminals at the register even when you have money on the card, so I don’t like that option anymore.
Several times my husband has gone in to do a wire transfer and they give him excuse they don’t have the codes to process. I was in there today and a lady came in right after me, not to mention I had to stand there and wait for the representative to get off the phone. She asked the lady why she was there, and she said, "To cash a check." She said, "I can’t do that today," because she didn’t have cash and that it would take 20 minutes to put it on a Netspend card and turned her away. That’s bull!!! Not only that, after I stood there waiting for her to get off the phone, she gives me the speech again about how I need to get here earlier. Ummm I was waiting 5 minutes for you to get off the phone, so what do that have to do with me??? And again the checks weren’t printing.
I feel like if a customer is there before you close, you should assist them, period. It’s called customer service!! You’re running a business and you have store hours for a reason. Just very inconvenient, I don’t need a scolding about what time I get there if I get there before you close. I ended up referring the lady to another check cashing place further down in the shopping center. I’ve seen them turn people away several times because their transaction would take too long. Not professional at all!!!
These people have the most horrible customer service ever. Their online website posts lies and then when you call to get assistance because of it, they will just put you off and pretty much tell you that it's not their problem and not let you talk to anyone who can actually assist you in any productive manner. They will just tell you that you signed a contract and there's nothing they can do to assist you even if the issue is something that is their fault. They have no compassion or caring for others whatsoever. They just care about their money. "Sorry, not sorry" is their motto.
I visited Check 'n Go today. This is not the first time that I have dealt with this company. I find it very rewarding, the service is always quick, and they are very helpful and making sure everything is done the way it is supposed to be done. They are courteous, and I will continue to do business with them. The store that I visited today, was Valley Alabama. And I believe her name was Deana, she was very helpful to me, and made sure I went to the proper place to cash my check. I do however rate this particular store at a 5. Thank you so much.
I have used Check 'n Go in Kilgore for several years. Always paid back on time never had a problem until I went in to get another loan. A new employee who immediately had an attitude with me when I got there. I knew from her attitude I was not getting a loan. She wanted a new statement from social security that I would not receive until the end of January. When I told her they had used the last one she became very hateful and stated she needed a new one. She treated me like I was trash. She was very prejudice to me. I left the store never to return again!!!!
This company gave me the runaround. They knew they weren't going to approve the loan that was only for $400. I advise no one to deal with company. One min they states you're approve, asking you for all of your personal information and still not give the loan. Definitely be aware of your information you provide because they are getting your documents and not assisting people. Scammers if ask me.
So I applied for a loan on Friday. Today is Tuesday. They told me Friday that they were sending my loan to my bank account by Monday. They also asked for my bank login and password. My mother’s maiden name. My routing number my bank account number. My debit card numbers the 3 digit code in the back and expiration date. My address, my phone number. My social security number and of course my birthdate. And like a ** idiot I gave it to them being desperate to fix my car so I can go to work. Well you know Monday rolls in and no money. I called and asked where is it? They said that I had to Western Union them $95 dollars to verify my identity. I immediately went off on the guy and he yelled back saying he was a loan officer. I hung up and changed my bank password. I canceled my bank card and reported it as lost. I didn’t know at that point I could have changed my login too.
Well it’s 11:30 pm Tuesday night and I get a email from my bank that someone tried login into my account set real times and had the wrong password. So they locked me out until I can prove my identity. So now I changed my login. Thank god that my account has a second security measure! It sends me a text with a secret code that you have to type in to get into the account. So far that’s taken care of. Now as far as all my other information I don’t know what will they do with it! But I plan to pursue a case against them to have them taken down! It’s not right to have that evilness! How can they do that to people who are obviously looking for financial help? Stay away from them. Don’t give them personal information. I learned that the hard way. And usually if you end up here it’s because you ended up getting screwed by them too. Prayers for karma! P.s. had to get a star just to post this or the wouldn’t get anything but this???
When loan wasn't deposited next day as indicated in approval email I called and learned it was actually denied. Now this company has my BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION AND PASSWORD AND THEY WON'T DELETE IT. They have the account number, the routing number and my online password. WTAF. How are they not shut down??
I have never gotten a pay day loan with Check 'n Go, but I did apply and the in store sales woman gave me a printout that said "The application is not able to be approved at this time. Customer is on the hit list - 2 Fraud". I called the online customer service and they said they could not see that on their end and I should be able to get a loan. I called the state and they recommended I try a different company due to the fact it is very untrue statement. The state said I was in good standing. Very upsetting to see that. The printout came from Check 'n Go website on the bottom of the printout. Never use Check 'n Go. Very shady and bad experience! I wish they would be investigated by the government! Whatever you do, don't get a loan from Check 'n Go! You will regret it!
So I filled out an application on Friday, June 15th. I looked at my email first thing Monday thinking I would get an approval or denial. I got neither. I was asked to submit documents (check stub/bank statement/id), so I did. I looked again on Tuesday, June 19th. Nothing. I was asked to submit the same documents. I called and was told that there is a 48 hour manual review and that they would contact me by email by Friday. I looked again on Friday and read that I could apply for another Loan as the one I applied for was "voided". No explanation why. I called again and was told that due to an error on their part that I had to submit yet another application. I was also told that upon doing so there would be yet another 48 hour "manual review" of the same documents that I submitted.
At that point I just canceled the whole thing, told them that their treatment of first time customers was atrocious and that I couldn't believe they were still in business. As a first time customer I wondered how they treated the people who actually came back. Bottom line. If you need money in a hurry for any reason - DO NOT CALL CHECK 'N GO!!! Worst experience in my life. I can't believe people still use them. I told them to not only cancel my application but delete all of my information and they will never ever hear from me again. I will also take to all social media and let everyone know this is the worst company ever. Just as a side, I got in touch with another payday loan place and got money that day. So it's not me - it's them!
I am furious at the company. Yesterday I applied for a loan and was approved. Went through with verifying my information and received the email that stated my funds were on the way. Woke up this morning and there was nothing in my checking account. So I get mad. I call the company first thing this morning and was told that my application was approved but later denied. The lady couldn't give me any information as to why it was denied. Now I am scrambling to find money for my surgery tomorrow. This company is a scam and should be shut down! How fraudulent to take all my banking information and then deny my loan. I am so pissed!
I have been receiving harassing and threatening phone calls saying I owe them money due to a loan I never took out. Got a call today from someone saying they were from Ace Recovery. I told them I have never stepped in one of their stores. She said it was an online loan. And threatened again that this had to be taken care of today or they will process to take me to court. I questioned myself and set up payments. But did further research. The company cannot give online loans legally in Iowa. So they could not have given me a loan online. I know for a fact I have never stepped foot in one of their retail locations. So I have never taken out a loan with them.
I have tried today to call Ace to contest the supposed loan, with no one answering. If they do not return my call tomorrow or I cannot reach I will call my bank and stop these payments. I will be stopping them anyway, but will give them notice I am doing so. If they want to try and prove this they will have to send me a copy of the paperwork by mail, not email. I am pissed as hell, one because I fell for this and 2nd that there are such horrible people in this world. You would be smart to stay away from this company!!! I put a 1 star below for application process by accident. I never filled out an application.
I have taken out several payday loans over the past year due to my husband's unemployment issue. All were paid off on time with no problem. I actually tried to take out another loan and was told that my application had been denied! Wow, I don't understand why they denied me. Listen if you need a payday loan DO NOT use this company. Their customer service is awful and they will not explain your loan to you at all. A 450.00 loan cost me 800.00. There are several companies out there that are really willing to help with no problems at all.
My situation was an emergency or I would have never borrowed from Check 'n Go at all. Please do your due diligence and find a more useful company as there are a lot of them out there willing to help and have more employees that are trained for their job. Employees are very RUDE and unwilling to help you solve all your problems/needs for repayment.
Do yourself a favor and run! This company is horrible. After I was approved for the loan, I was given an option on how I was going to pay. I chose to call in with my payment. My 1st payment was due on 1/1/18. It was a holiday so I had to wait until the following day. I checked my balance in the bank and they had already taken my payment! (I NEVER AUTHORIZED THEM OR ANYONE TO GO INTO MY ACCOUNT)! The following month, on the 1st, was going to make my payment by calling in again. Checked my bank and of course they helped themselves again! I closed that account and opened another bank account. Before the 3rd payment was due, I called them to let them know not to go into the account because it was closed. She didn't want to hear it. The 3rd was due went and called to make my payment and was told, we already received it. I asked how they got it when it wasn't even due until today!?
This place has a habit of thinking what is yours is theirs! The loan amount was 1200.00. I paid them 863.00. Called to get a payoff and was told it was 1300.00... I ran to pay them off! So the 1200.00 loan cost me 2063.00 for an account that had been open for 3 months. Not to mention I had a mess with the bank because the account was closed but when they put it through, it reopened the closed account... DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, DONT WALK PAST THIS PLACE... RUN!
I have always had good relations with employees, but lately they have lost patience and treat customers as they please; in my experience today they did not want to attend to the pretext that they needed a copy of the bank statement granted by the bank; I told them that I received the bank statements online, which they said was not valid; in the 21st century when the information should flow more agile, this company is lagging behind filling up cumbersome paperwork and if we add to this the slowness in the attention they make that a visit to this office is tortuous; I mean the place located at 1375 Mineral Spring Avenue in North Providence, RI.
Today I went to Advance America and the change is radical, the attention is friendly and agile.
I have dealt with five Check 'n Go offices over the last 5 years. Three of them were friendly, efficient, and cooperative. Two of them were slow, and even rude, including one today. So I have now switched all of my business to Advance America, who have been much much faster, and much much friendlier.
