Refinance - Cashcall promised me a lot on the phone and delayed me so I could not cancel my loan. Then, they offered me to pay $3,060 over my 15-year mortgage. Then, I got a call from Cashcall saying they lied and they are not going to pay anything. They just stopped answering my calls. A bunch of crooks and liars.

Wow! Where do I begin to convey my absolute dissatisfaction with CCM? It was like dealing with total "deadhead" individuals that were totally incompetent. I started the process back on April 14th and finally closed on June 26th. Yes, I finally closed, but the total and incomprehensible lack of communication is what drives me crazy. Also, the repeated request for information that was already and previously submitted was so frustrating. Example: Form 4506-T is a request for three (3) previous years of earnings information that is sent to the IRS. I was told, "Jerry, can you please give me any one page of your most recent tax filing that shows your name and social and address? I have requested the information six (6) times and the IRS keeps sending the form back to me as unidentifiable."

Now keep in mind that I already had sent my tax information twice earlier back in April. I guess they lost my tax returns twice and why did it take six (6) rejections before contacting me for another page from my tax return? Total **! This is just one tiny example of the repeated deadhead, incompetent, lazy and stupid individuals that I had the misfortune to have working on the refinance. Maybe you'll be one of the lucky persons to get someone competent, I was not that lucky. Just beware of what can happen with Cashcall Mortgage!

After submitting all documentation that was requested, I was given escrow instructions which were signed and notarized and was told my loan would fund in 3 days after the cancellation period had passed. Five days later, I received an email asking for additional documentation most of which had been supplied weeks before or doesn't exist or could have been asked for earlier. The impact has been that I have now incurred late fees, credit card fees and probably, most importantly my credit in all likelihood has been impacted. It appears that Cash Call Mortgage is a bucket shop operation with marginal ability to perform.

I started with Cashcall like two weeks ago. I had been told my house's value went down, which I didn't believe. They sent an appraiser, Steve came to my house. I told him I just made a few phone calls to my realtor and others. In my building, if the location is inside the building doesn't have a view, the price is $270K. I bought it for $370K 7 years ago and paid more money than the other inside unit because my unit is a corner unit, has view, an open area in the front of my unit's windows, 5 minutes to run to Whole Food and the lake, 2 minutes drive to freeway, 10 minutes to go to BART, 20 minutes to Chinatown or 15 minutes to the bank and shopping place.

After the appraiser left, the next day, a processor lady called me and was trying to push me to sign all papers. She said that way can speed up the process. I told her I will wait for my appraisal result to come out, I am not in a hurry. Luckily, I didn't sign any paper with them. A week later, my appraisal came out as $225K and the lady told me I have to pay $13K to get a second plan FHA which I have to pay mortgage insurance for 5 years. It shot me, what? I asked the lady why and she said because somewhere around my house area, same square feet sold that price. If it's like this, they don't need to send an appraiser to come to waste my time. Just follow the lower price in my neighborhood, we don't need both to pay an appraiser. I can tell the appraiser is already on their side. They are foxy, tricky and play drama on their customer. My advise is to be careful with them.

I was told that my request for the special advertisement on the radio wouldn't apply to me, because I did not need to borrow enough money or have a high enough mortgage. It's not worth their time or effort. My credit is excellent and I met all their qualifications. I feel this is false advertising. They did not pursue my request for refinance at the 8.85 rate quoted on the radio.

I recently did a mortgage with Cashcall mortgage which all went ok. About month after the loan closed, I had an Identity theft issue where someone had my SSN and driver's license info. They attempted to open several accounts and were able to get one opened. $560 was charged fraudulently. The address that was used on the fraudulent applications was my property address which I've only ever provided for the purpose of doing a mortgage. There's no concrete evidence that Cashcall allowed my personal evidence to be compromised, but use of the property address and several other bits of circumstantial evidence lead directly to them.

We are yet another victim of CashCall. It is our fault for taking a loan with them to begin with but they are the poster company for predatory lending. I have read letter after letter from consumers with horror stories about them. Ours is similar. They harass you, call you all hours of the day and charge exorbitant interest rates which I cannot believe is legal. The FTC needs to investigate their business practices. In these economic times, people are already under undue stress and this company refuses to work out any arrangement that is affordable. My hours at work have been cut, we have had undue medical expenses and unanticipated legal bills for our youngest son. Can't something be done about them? The predatory mortgage lenders have been taken to task. Why can't this company. There are a lot of consumers who need help...now.

In June 2006, I was behind on my mortgage so I contacted CashCall for a loan of $2500. I was told I was approved for $5000 and that was what the loan was made for. They would take the payments out of my bank account directly in the amount of $251.31. I have been paying for 2.5 years and have paid $7500 so far and it turns out that I still owe almost the entire $5000. This is a scam and a rip off! I was unable to make the January 2009 payment and they called my work and my home at least 5 to 6 times a day. I do not make as much money; I lost my house, my daughter is sick and there is nothing I can do. But they will not leave me alone. I don't see how this can be legal and I wonder if it really is. This seems like loan sharking to me.
