Very happy with the refi and everything went smoothly. Randon, our rep was there for me when I had questions. The lower interest rate helps us tremendously since we are on a fixed income. Hopefully in the future we will be able to get rid of the PMI.

The process for getting my mortgage was quick and seamless. Lucy was always there with any questions I had, even on the weekends! Her team was always friendly and able to help me or get me my answers in a quick turn around time. I will be contacting Lucy again if and when I need her again!

Refinancing with Caliber required very little effort and improved my current interest rate. This was the easiest mortgage I have ever had. The only reason it isn't a five-star review is that during the refi I received a collection call from my current mortgage company (which was also Caliber). I have told several people about Caliber.

I was pleased with my refi on my VA loan. The communication channels during the refi process could be improved. Responses to my inquiries were slow or no response at all and the documents that were sent were often contradictory. We completed a re-financing with Caliber in late December. We were extremely satisfied with the entire experience but particularly with two aspects. First, we received a preliminary approval within hours of our application, immediately following on-line submission of our proof-of-income (W-2's and 1099R's) documentation.

We approached Janet late in the buying cycle Bc our credit union was being very slow about getting our loan done. She jumped in and moved quickly and got us closed with only a small delay. Your secure email system doesn’t work and is unnecessary for most communications. I feel as though the customer service is limited to automated or canned responses. My account questions are still unanswered. Why is so hard to get a simple question answered?

Caliber Home Loans have a disgraceful customer service dept... you can't contact them with questions! I tried for over an hour to get a representative to speak to so that I could set up auto pay for my existing home loan. I have never has such poor customer service (lack of!). I truly wish I had my mortgage with another company that values customer service. Caliber... PLEASE sell my loan to another mortgage company that cares about their customers!

I ended up with Caliber Home Loans as my mortgage service provider after a re-fi ... I didn't chose them. My first disappointment - they don't accept 'Bill Pay' from Wells Fargo. If you use first class USPS for your payment you WILL likely get a late payment no matter when you mail your payment and assess you a healthy late fee. I've even used Priority Overnight with tracking and have USPS tracking data to show they received the payment on the 16th, yet they posted it on the 17th and zinged me with a late fee... It's mail fraud!

Jeanne and the entire Caliber team were great to my wife and I during our search for our new home. We were in a bit of a time crunch to make a purchase and Jeanne and Yolanda were working and available around the clock to help expedite the process, even during the holiday season! They were amazing to us and my family and I are incredibly happy in our new home!

For over 4 months, Patrick ** at Caliber strung me along. Once a week he would ask for documents already provided. When it got closer to closing, he would ask for a payoff for 10-14 days out, at least 5 times. After I provided documents he said would finalize the loan, 3 days later I received, in the mail, a letter of denial, using reasons that were never even discussed. I found Patrick ** to be very unprofessional, always sounded unprepared, and terrible at keeping his word. I found a national lender that closed my loan in 22 days and at a lower rate. Beware of Caliber Home Loans!!!!

Spencer provided fast service with outstanding communication and made the entire process as easy as possible. It was a smooth transaction to refi my home thru Caliber. I have had them for about 6 years and they are very friendly and helpful. This was the second time I have had a refinance via Caliber Home Loans and both times they have been very dependable and helpful.

Called a loan officer with the Huntsville, Al branch, and was given pre-approval and promised a great experience. Five months later, paperwork not handled appropriately per title company, closing date cancelled three times. Contacted regional manager for Alabama, he apologized profusely, let us know there was no excuse for how loan was handled, promised he would have it handled asap. Fifteen days later have not heard from him, will not respond to emails, call or texts. Steve ** and his team are terrible, and caused all parties sellers/buyers tremendous grief.

When you consider mortgage companies, please do yourself a favor and steer clear of Caliber Home Loans. They bought my mortgage from my previous lender, and really screwed things up. Included in my escrow was payment for home insurance. Somehow Caliber managed to pay the wrong insurance company, which led to our policy being canceled for non-payment. That was a fun surprise to find in the mail! Then, Caliber tried telling me they could not refund me the funds paid to the wrong insurance company until they received them back from the wrong company. They have been holding my money hostage for the last month.

Aaron makes this process so easy! No Stress - he explains everything to you in way it's very easy to understand. He is prompt with answering all questions! He is honest with all the options that are available to you. He Is The Best!

Home mortgage. I received excellent customer care. Very personal. I was taken step by step through the whole process. They even helped me with knowing what to do at the title company. Sometimes I ask them questions that were really for my realtor. Every question was answered and clarified. I highly recommend them.

Caliber is a good company with some excellent service. Adrian ** is a real asset to your organization. The only thing I could recommend is the underwriter's coverage when out, or if there is a question on eligibility, etc they do more to confirm information and provide knowledgeable feedback. Particularly when it comes to VA eligibility. They do not all understand it, even though VA says they were trained.

Shawn ** is terrific! He has been our point person several times over the past 10 years. He strives to make the process as easy as possible for the applicants and is very good at explaining things. I would definitely recommend Shawn and Caliber.

I feel good with the Caliber Home Loan company because it is a good company. The executive staff are responsible and they find the good deal for what you are looking for. They require a lot of proof of the documents they they require to give the loan but I think it’s good.

When we received the info to e sign it was totally different numbers. Greg ignored our calls for 3 weeks then finally said he was sorry he promised us things he couldn't get approved... Horrible customer service. Luckily quicken was able to to get us approved for what Caliber promised!

I'm a first time home buyer, and Caliber helped me to learn the process so smoothly. Everything went ahead of schedule! I felt supported through each step of buying my home, and the communication with Caliber was great. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

I had been a customer for about a year when I decided to refinance. It seemed easier to stay with them but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The problems started when I asked for a simple status update on my refinance since I hadn’t heard from them in over a month. My loan officer kept telling he didn’t need anything from me. I was asking for an update, not what he needed. He just kept repeating that he didn’t need anything. Then he got rude and told me “I obviously had a hard week and was being emotional”. All because I wanted a status update.

Please be aware of this company. I had my original loan through this company and decided to refi. They offered me a term higher than I could have gotten with another company so they decided to match my outside loan terms. Based on that I went ahead with the process. 3 days before close I was notified by one of the managers that my terms that were agreed to in the beginning and signed were no longer valid and the new terms were the best they could do. At that point I had no choice but to sign the deal. I will take this to HUD and the FTC to notify them of these practices and show them all my documentation. This was a good company before they resorted to this kind of lending.

Working with Khalisa and her team was really easy. They communicated well and quickly. When it appeared that my old loan didn't get paid off in time and I was going to be fined, Khalisa and her team rushed to figure it out and ensure me that it was all fixed. It all turned out great with the old loan and I was able to get a great rate on my new loan!

If you want to get a new loan through Caliber, remind the loan officer they will charge a $1,260 fee that NO ONE ELSE CHARGES. They charge a $3.50 to use one-time electronic payments. It's late 2019, no one should charge a fee to do this. Caliber purchased my loan from another loan servicer, so there isn't an easy way out and I have never in my life been late on a mortgage payment. $3.50/month adds up to $1,260 over the life of the loan.

I am very disappointed with Caliber. I received so many documents that required me to sign that it wasn’t disclosed to me that I would be buying points to get a lower interest rate and that $10,000 would be added on top of the original loan amount for the home I purchased. I was informed that caliber homes would pay majority of the items for this loan, it it looked like it was more of me paying for it. I’ve requested a phone call back from a manager which haven’t happened yet as well as talk to someone about how misguided some information wasn’t explained. I would not recommend caliber homes to nobody!!
