Don't use Caliber Lenders for your loan because they will lie to you. They will tell you a loan amount and have you go through the home buying process only to let you spend money on appraisal, inspection, and home buying class called SETH which was 100.00 only to tell me that am approved but in actually the lender Heather ** just started the pre-qualify process. Heather ** is a natural liar. The regional manager knows about how she deceived several clients and they don't care. Please don't use Heather ** for anything. if you trust her you will lose money!!!!

Completely satisfied with the services I received. Highly personalized, pleasant, and easy. Kept me informed and even worked late in order to make sure I closed on time. I will never use anyone other than Christine ** to process any future mortgage transactions.

Team Vann went above and beyond! Jimmy and his entire team are extremely knowledgeable about the market and were able to help my wife and I purchase our first home. We utilized the VA loan and the team was able to guide us, step by step, through the entire process seamlessly. The market can be volatile and it moves quick, but that doesn't phase this team. My experience with Caliber was positive. They made the paperwork as convenient as possible given all of the tight regulations under which they must now operate. They even drove to my house to pick up and deliver papers 2 or 3 times. My income situation is not traditional and Caliber's underwriters were tough with scrutiny, but in the end isn't that what we want from a lender, to be very cautious about who is worthy of a huge loan for a house? I would definitely recommend Caliber to anyone seeking a home loan.

I have gone through several mortgages by now and they tend to be a bit of a drag. Multiple requests for the same paperwork, last minute papers needed, moved close date to mention a few of the issues. I am in chapter 13 to save my home. I was a victim of the 2008 financial crisis. My loan was sold to Caliber. I applied for a loan modification in May of 2015. By October 2015 I had not heard from Caliber. I sent a registered letter to them to inquire. December 18th 2015 I received a response that my modification had been approved. No one ever notified my attorney. I have been trying ever since to get this modification done. I have been mislead, told to do the wrong things. I have called weekly. You have NO idea what I have been through. The departments do not communicate with each other. No one seems engaged or follows up as they promise. I have to start over with each call. The single point of contact system they have has different people every time who tell you different things.

Caliber Home Loans was far more efficient than Chase Bank during my home loan process. In the first day I talked to them, they requested me all the documents Chase took 20 days to request and processed my case in 21 days. I was really glad I got a very knowledgeable advisor who requested me the right documents only once and solve my problem. After 8 months being with them, I'm glad to do business with them. They deserve my positive review.

I had a good experience working with Caliber Home Loans finalizing and closing loan in time. Erez walked me through the loan process and helped me work through it to the end.

Caliber cannot process payments electronically. They lost my check or as they say, "lost in the mail." Tried to imply late charges. Caused me to issue stop payment on the check and incur $30 fee from my bank. Best advice pay through their website as the customer service is not helpful with complicated items. Just a lot of apologies but no action.

It was challenging. Stressful but at the end it was a very joyful moment for my family. Thank you Caliber family.

All of these good reviews on this website have to be a joke. These are the most incompetent morons I have ever dealt with. I constantly get harassing letters stating that my mortgage payment is behind when I am actually always ahead on paying my mortgage. You can't get anywhere with Customer Service. They read from a script. When you ask to speak with a supervisor, they say that one will call you back in 3-5 business days. What the hell kind of customer service is that?? I hate this place. I wish they would have never bought out my mortgage.

Dan ** and his team were very helpful in my process of finding a competitive advantage buying a residential house. I was outbid in a multiple offer setting of 9 bidders with another lender. I knew I needed a lender with an excellent reputation for closing in a timely manner so I got the referral from my agent with 17 years experience. Dan sent me an email of what to bring to my appointment; subsequent needed documents were listed by his staff in emails to ensure a speedy close. After I got everything to them, I received an offer to close over ten days early.

From the start, Tom was extremely helpful and ensured that the process was easy and stress free to get the loan initiated, approved and completed in order to close on the date and time we determined.

For those of you who were pleased with the loan origination process wait until you have to deal with customer service! My loan was created by another company and transferred to Caliber. Because of the new laws the loan was made in my legal name which I have never used. I use a nickname. For 2 months I have tried to get them to set up an ACH to my bank for monthly payment. Their "system" will only take an account name that is the same as the name on the mortgage. What difference does it make who pays my mortgage as long as it gets paid? I don't have a bank acct with that name. I have now made 4 calls to customer service to correct this. I have had 3 very nice people and one very rude person but none could fix the problem. The last person said I would have to get a letter from my bank stating that I was one and the same which I did. Then they lost the letter. PLEAS DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

Working with Caliber was fantastic. Here's why I like them. They are highly responsive. When one person wasn't available, another person would seamlessly take over and move our financing forward. They were only given 2 weeks notice for our closing date and they hit it. They were honest and upfront in all aspects. They never made a promise or a claim that they didn't meet or exceed my expectations. They use enough technology to keep me from running around to find a fax machine BUT not so much technology that it overwhelmed me.

We could not have ask for a better person to help us buy a home than Kathy **. She was wonderful and went above to do everything she could to see we got our home and to get us all the help she could. We just love her.

Whatever you do when buying a house DO NOT USE Caliber Home Loans. They take your money, they raise your house payments each year for some dumb reason and then say you didn't have enough money in escrow. They are a rip off. Stay away from this company. They add so many charges to your account. It's confusing at times. So please whatever you do, DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.

The loan process was great with loan officer and processor but fell apart once it hit the closing department... My final CD was not approved till an hour before my closing and the title company and myself followed up on it for 3 days prior to closing.

I have owned several homes and Caliber is the worst mortgage company I’ve ever dealt with. They have lost payments, held payments, not accepted personal checks, sent back cashier's checks. Then called and threatened to foreclose! When trying to Re-Fi, they stalled, stalled and stalled and kept adding shady documents that had to be sent in, they made no sense, all the while saying don't send in any payment till this process is done. Well it is almost done and I can’t wait to get with another mortgage company. This one is a small, poorly run pack of loan sharks.

Happy they could close on this type of loan but the closing process was not smooth. I received the wrong settlement amount and the wire was sent to the wrong closing attorney's office. Everything went well until the closing, besides sending documents that they had two or three times.

I put an offer on a short sale in January of 2015 which we all assumed was going to be a quick and stress less process because of prior information which was given to us. But it was a long process which took over a year to finally get approved (January 2016). From day one until the closing day Caliber Home Loans (Shane **) was there answering every question and informing me of any concerns I had. We worked with two mortgage companies before going to Caliber - and what a difference. Terrific group of people to work with. Thoughtful, patient, professional... And really know the ins and outs of the process.

Working with Caliber was a complete nightmare. We were strung along for 5 months and told that my fiance was fine with his VA entitlement but in reality he wasn't due to a short sale several years prior. They were very difficult to get ahold of, very unprofessional, and in the end I had to contact the general manager regarding one of the loan officers and was told they can't provide us with a loan. The loan officer we weren't working with kept telling us "No you're fine. Everything is good." Not until we challenged it and wanted proof did we find out that everything wasn't good and we have no loan. This is 5 months after their pre-approval letter that we submitted to our builder and put a $2000 earnest money down.

This is the second home loan that we worked with Joe ** on and the experience was just as fabulous the second time around. Joe was thorough, helpful, and responsive. We were never in the dark about where we were in the process. We highly recommend Caliber!
