I found the process to be incredibly smooth and well managed. Given their focus on mortgages only, my loan team was well-informed and provided suggestions and guidance throughout the process. Topics such as rate floats, points and variables were explained clearly to me each step of the way, so there was never any ambiguity as to what my options were.

Overall, I had a great experience with Caliber. My loan officer was willing to answer all my questions and walk me through the process as a first time home buyer. My only frustration was that sometimes the other office staff didn't seem to be reading my emails or listening to my personal needs and situation.

This was our first time buying a home and we were beyond nervous but the people we worked with at Caliber Home Loans honestly made it so easy. I would highly recommend buying a home with them again.

I had a issue with my loan and called their corporate office to file a complaint only to find out it was their customer service department. I was transferred a million times and no one could really help me. Unlike most companies you can call corporate to file a formal complaint or get your issues resolved but their corporate number just leads you routed to a call center. Nowhere to really file a complaint and they have no executive contacts or guest relations to call for complaints. You have to email their customer service department and they are suppose to get back to you within 24-48 hours.

Working with Michael was a breeze! He sent me a list of exactly what he needed, drove by my office to pick it up, told me not to worry and had us closed in record time. I would highly recommend Michael to anyone needing a home loan. He is extremely knowledgeable, calm, friendly and trustworthy.

My contact, Melissa **, was wonderful. I was new to Washington so I had a lot of questions about the difference in process between here and Wisconsin. Melissa answered all of my questions in an extremely timely fashion and helped get the home sale done very efficiently. Even after the sale Melissa has helped with additional questions and documentation needs for my relocation company. The rate was competitive and the service was top notch (a must need for this highly competitive market).

We worked with Elaine in the Lancaster, PA office. I called Elaine with less than a month until closing. We are small business owners which has made getting loans in the past very cumbersome. Elaine assured me that with our help she would be able to get it done in the short time frame, and she did. Elaine even helped close the gap in financing when the appraisal came in lower than expected. She went way above and beyond what a normal mortgage broker would do. I can't say enough good things about the company and how easy it was compared to my previous dealings. We'll definitely be using Caliber again. Thanks again Elaine!

We had a great experience working with Casey up in the Bellingham location. However, we did encounter the same level of customer service in Seattle working with Matt and Daisy. They told us because my husband's credit score was 678 that we would not be eligible for any conventional loans and told us we had to use a FHA. They had written us a pre-approval letter that exceeded the maximum amount for a FHA loan. When we pointed out the error, Matt insinuated it was due to a miscommunication on our end. He then tried to put the blame on his assistant, Daisy. There was no apology given. When we requested him to transfer our file up to the Caliber up in Bellingham, Matt just hung up on us. That was our final communication with them.

I was really impressed with Mr Hudson ** who was my loan officer. He led me step by step and educated me through the whole process of acquiring my home loan. He did a fantastic job. I am overall happy with Caliber Loan services but especially to Hudson **.

I had my primary mortgage with PNC. After my ex-husband and I divorced I ran into some medical expenses and fell a couple of months behind in my mortgage. I applied for a modification and long story short, my ex refused to sign so I started a 5 YEAR (yes, really!) struggle to get the loan modified and keep my house. About 3 years in, I was surprised to see that PNC had sold the defaulted loan to Caliber. So I continued the modification process with them. They were wonderful. There is a LOT of documentation required with any mortgage company when dealing with a modification. And because the information is time sensitive, you may find that you don't get it to them in time so you have to start all over again. PNC was so much worse about what they required. It had been a constant flow of documents from my end. Caliber was fantastic.

I am very pleased. My lender never gave up on us. Kept me notified and got me through every step with patience. Even as many times as I bothered never once were they frustrated. Thank you Caliber Home Loans for giving me a chance At such a young age.

Two years ago my wife and I started a search to determine where in Southern California we would like to relocate and finally decided upon Carlsbad area inland. Our realtor suggested we get pre-approved so we could make an offer if something came on the market that we liked. We were introduced to Gregory ** and his team at Caliber Home Loans who took us under their guidance and soon we were pre-approved for a loan. Our goal was to close on a loan in 30 days and use electronic coordination as we are currently located in Virginia.

Over the summer we decided we wanted to start the process of buying a house. We thought we'd move around November - December. We called Caliber Home Loans and they helped us with everything in such a smooth way we moved in our dream house in 45 days after starting the process. We are so happy: the rate they offered was the lowest of all offers so our monthly payment is way cheaper than our rent. I highly recommend this company!!

Caliber was great!! Application process was easy. Underwriting was handled very professionally. I have been self employed and it required some extra documentation. It was easy to explain ONCE, and they understood it and moved forward with the loan. Closing was easy... They came to us. All went as planned, very quickly.

Communication communication communication!! When I had a question or a simple concern (buying a house is nerve wracking) I could literally text my loan officer Dante whenever I needed. He was so personable and professional at every time, even on his days off! After a while and closer to the closing date I was able to learn more about the whole Caliber team. Every one of them is kind, understanding and friendly. The whole experience was made comfortable by the Caliber team and I will recommend them to all my friends and family.

This was, and is, currently the worst experience I have ever had with any business or organization. Long story short is I asked for the paperwork to get my PMI removed after two years and significant home improvements. After submitting the paperwork and a check and having the check cashed we heard nothing. The form said to expect 10 days to hear from Caliber. 6 weeks and 5 phone calls to customer service later I today just talked to a Customer Service Manager who informed me that they "never got" my form asking for the BPO appraisal, yet they cashed a check and one Escalation Expert even told me that Fannie Mae (who I got the loan from originally) was the hold up because they needed to order the BPO appraisal. He said they did their part and Fannie Mae is to blame.

Our home is in foreclosure and a short sale is in place due to a divorce. It has been 9 months and now the negotiator keeps changing her mind on everything. This whole process has been a nightmare. Our realtor is doing his best to settle this while Caliber changes the stipulations every week or even daily. Meanwhile, a motion to proceed with foreclosure has been filed. I am beyond frustrated and cannot seem to get anything accomplished. I am trying to avoid a foreclosure yet it doesn't seem to be something Caliber finds to be as the best solution!

This horrible company has done nothing but jack our rates up every 6 months. When our old loan company sold our account to this awful excuse for a loan company we get our rate jacked by $100. Now 6 months in it goes up another $300 not to mention ever since we started with this company they said we owed an extra $3,000 after a representative told us we were paid up. If anyone goes to this company kiss your credit goodbye along with your money because they will without a doubt jack your rates constantly. We didn't have a choice when we were switched so if anyone else has this happen to them get out from under it as quick as possible because of how shady and undeniably horrible that they are. Stay clear of this terrible company at all costs. It's sad when a company can inspire someone to literally campaign against them which we are doing now.

Caliber Home Loans claims my payment was late. I have proof my bank sent two payments on time but Caliber Home didn't get one but 41 days late. Inefficient and dishonest. Not one phone call made to my number to notify me. Awful customer service. Wish I could do business with another company. I own other properties. I have all kinds of bills, Caliber is the only one that has a big discrepancy in dates of when my bank (BofA) sent the payments. Totally taken advantage of its customers!!! Awful and dishonest. Contact me, Caliber Home Loans. Check my bank statement and proof the payment was received 41 days late!!!

Casey was my Loan Officer throughout this process. I had originally started the process with another lender and when I received two large packages of paper, I knew I needed to start the process with my current lender, Caliber. Casey contacted me by phone and the process began. Between the end of June and the end of July, my refinance was accomplished using only electronic means. I faxed or emailed documents to Casey and he would email me when he needed something. He was innovative when certain documents didn't fax well.

Diane ** team is outstanding!!! I have known Diane for years and have found that after over 30+ years in the real estate business and dealing with mortgage lenders, I would have to say that this is, by far, the best mortgage team out there. I would highly recommend this team to anyone!!!

Everything was great during the home buying process. I would like to give Scott, my mortgage broker, five stars! The only reason I am giving a 4 is because of the constant mail I receive about mortgage insurance. I've received at least 1 per week since I have purchased my home. Sometime I will get two in the same week. If it is that important for you to sell mortgage insurance then have a salesman call me, don't send junk mail every week.

Caliber Home Loans met my needs in terms of structuring the deal I was entering into. The process and details of the deal (or perhaps just getting the deal done in this city) seemed complex - and candidly, I didn't feel as though I was well-served in terms of "clarity of communication". Their several missteps along the way that caused me more stress than I think was necessary. My experience with other deals in my past was much more seamless.

Jane from Caliber was relentless, always very helpful & so nice! It wasn't an easy job either! I had locked my credit with the 3 credit bureaus yeas ago due to piece of paper going missing with all kinds of sensitive information on it. It was not a problem when I live at same address for 15 years. However, I moved into an apartment for the year before I bought the house using Jane. So, it would not let me unlock my credit except with a letter. It turned into a kinds of trouble when I raised a flag on one of the borrowers who had a negative comment on my credit bureaus. I did not know raising a complaint would lock my credit. It did not tell me that. Jane was always patient, kind, & helpful. She's a wonderful lady with which to work! Thanks.

Trying to sell and buy a home in 2 different states at the same time can be an exhaustive process. Caliber Home Loans did a great job on their end getting together all of the paperwork that was needed in order to make it a smooth transition.

It was my first time refinancing my home. I was a little concerned but Bill ** was very patient, walked us step by step to make sure I understood everything. Anytime I had questions he returned email or call in a timely manner. I would recommend Bill to friends and family.

Our loan officer was charming and helpful. Disaster once out of her hands and turned over to underwriting and closing. Specifically: documents not timely, did not know on Friday if the closing for Monday morning was still on due to some changes at last minute. Worst, at closing atty did not accept cashier's check. Did not notify us that they ONLY accept wire transfers. Poor, poor treatment towards client. Underwriting was slow and caused more delays.

I am truly shocked about how many positive reviews Caliber has after my experience. I was sold by my mortgage broker to Caliber after purchase of a new home. The first problem was that I sent two mortgage payments by mail, but they were never received nor credited. Ok... perhaps a problem with the mail service, so now I need to send all my payments electronically through their website. Second, I received a notice that my tax invoice would be sent to me, instead of Caliber, and I would need to submit to Caliber. I sent it electronically through the Caliber site. After a month of hearing nothing, I called to find out they don't accept the tax documents electronically through their site (even though it accepts attachments) and would need to be sent through mail. Hmm.

Issues. Closed but they cut corners and I somehow got a condo without condo insurance.

My husband and I don't have the words to describe how satisfied we are with our loan officer Geoffrey **! He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and always made his self available no matter the time of day or night. Geoffrey never made us feel bad for asking questions and made sure we knew what was going on at all times. Lastly he did everything in his power to ensure we had a smooth closing including being present on closing day. Geoffrey is truly an asset!

They definitely have the staff to do a good job as everyone seems friendly & well-educated on the mortgage process. However, they fail to return calls promptly, and I've already gotten "pawned" off to three different people, as well as stood up by one of them. I'm very frustrated with the process so far and am looking forward to the end result, so I can have my home (hopefully) and be done with these guys. I think this company could do a very good job if they chose to, but I won't be recommending them to anyone, and I regret choosing them.
