Ben fast tracked our loan application as we were trying to get into a special needs school for my son. Ben is sharp. Ben even came to the closing. I will recommend him to friends who may be following us up to BACA as their child has similar issues.

The process was long and tiring. For FHA we had to submit so very many documents, ad nauseum. Mark was very helpful but we were expected to have mortgage knowledge when signing paperwork that was unfair and unrealistic as a lay person. Better explanation of documents should be given.

Bruce ** and Tracy ** were great to work with and stayed on top of all the paperwork that needed to be collected and managed. Bruce was always quick to find answers to my questions and was available when I called/emailed for status updates. The process went smoothly for the most part as Bruce explained it in the beginning. With the new closing process there seems to be an enormous amount of additional paperwork for condos and this added over 30 days to the process which almost expired my lock. But Bruce was able to get everything done so that closing will be the day before the 60-day lock expires. I have recommended Bruce ** to multiple people of which a few have already contacted him. Great job by both Bruce and Tracy.

We worked with Chad ** with Caliber Home Loans for the purchase of our new home. The home loan process was straight forward and Chad made the process as easy as he could. The critical areas were most of the time, my wife and I were not cc'ed on the same email (not all Caliber's fault, realtor did same thing). It's either to me or to her. The only other critical thing I can think of is timing. But I am guilty of this as well. Chad had very straight forward emails but we were set up against strict deadlines most of the time and this just made the process have a lot more pressure and anxiety than need be but partly our fault. On the bright side, I do believe we got the best loan and terms we could have. I do not feel deceived or taken advantage of. They really want to put you into the house you chose and me and my wife are glad they were recommended to us.

Overall good experience with Caliber. Jordan ** was very knowledgeable and worked extremely hard and quickly to get my loan through underwriting and cleared in time to close. Caliber came in after I chose to change lenders due to an awful experience, so there was some irritability lingering from that experience and Jordan handled that well.

I contacted Michelle ** on April 6 about getting approval for a loan. I had a very tight schedule. I needed to have loan approval and closing by the 25th of April because I was leaving for Europe on the 25th. Michelle worked very closely with me to get over all of the hurdles in record time. Loan approval was on the 20th and closing was on the 24th. Great experience thanks to Michelle **.

Was a 4 star review until 4 weeks after closing on 26-April-2016, I still don't have my appraisal refund. Was told time after time it was sent. 4 weeks later I still don't have my refund I was supposed to have at closing. I've sent emails keep getting same answer of keep letting us know. Wrote an email to a few members of the team I worked with letting them know just how dissatisfied I am with this whole runaround when I let them know Saturday 21-May-2016 that I didn't receive my money, and it's Monday. Still haven't heard anything from anyone. It's really sad how south customer service goes with this place after closing, especially when I didn't get everything I was supposed to at closing. I'm sure my mortgage bill will arrive on time though. This is very unfortunate, and I'm very dissatisfied.

We were two weeks from closing when Caliber decided to add my student loan debt onto my husband's loan. The home loan was not in my name, but they included my debt. When we asked if they could include my income we were told, "No". We have already spent roughly $1500 on inspections and appraisals that we will not get back now. We are also out of a place to live since we are so close to closing date. We are highly dissatisfied with how this was handled. If my student loan debt mattered, it should have been reviewed a long time ago. Our time and money has been wasted and so has the seller's. The seller had already done the repairs we requested.

We purchased our first home bank owned by Caliber Home Loans. Mark assured us we would be in safe hands with knowledgeable staff and his assistance. We had to choose between staying with Caliber or going through another company and we chose to stay with Caliber based on a few things Mark told us. None of whichever came to fruition. They consistently messed up the numbers on our loan documents, consistently were rude, or just plainly didn't have any idea what we were talking about when we would bring up a point. We asked to close on a certain date and that didn't happen because once again their errors kept it from closing. Once we received the paperwork in the mail they in fact closed on a Monday but gave us the keys on a Friday.

The manager who did our loan was very helpful and kept us informed. There was a little miscommunication with paperwork needed but the closing went very smoothly and we have our home. If we ever bought another we would use them again.

I purchased a home using Caliber Home Loans. My initial experience with the local agent (Terra **) was pleasant. When it came down to the closing my experience with Caliber Homes went from being a pleasant one to a horrible one. My closing was set for Thursday 3/31 @ 3pm. After arriving to the title company I was told to come back at 6pm because the closer still hadn't sent over the paperwork. Went back at 6 and still no paperwork. I was told to come back Friday 4/1 in the am. I went to the title office and was told AGAIN that the paperwork had still not be sent by the closer. I had a reservation for a U-Haul truck to be picked up that afternoon. I was assured that the paperwork would have been sent over shortly and was told to go home and start to pack my truck. So that's what I did, only to be told that the paperwork still not at the title office.

Great experience. The only thing I wish could have been different was to include all costs on the final CD, for example - Home Warranty.

After meeting with Jim with Caliber Homes about buying a home was a little bit disappointed in the fact that my credit wasn't at par for qualifying. After Jim guided me in the right direction yes sir 5 months later my wife and I were qualified and bought our 2nd house. It has been by far the best experience we have had in buying a house. Caliber Homes and Jim made the process simple and easy to understand. Anytime I started stressing Jim was there to calm me down, I would highly recommend!!! On March 31, 2016 Caliber failed to pay my taxes. Caliber sent a partial payment of 271.00. My County does not take partial payments. My total taxes due is $2,454.16. Since it's late I got hit with a 10% penalty. Why should I pay the 10% and where did the $271.00 go to because my county will not take a partial payment? My escrow balance is $6,450. My taxes and insurance only total about $2,954.00. Why does Caliber need so much of my money in escrow when they can't even pay my tax bill? I have been dealing with this for too long now. Every time I call no one can fix it. This is frustrating. What do I do?

I have been calling Caliber Loans for at least 3 months to pay my property tax. I get the run around for 3 months now. I am currently delinquent and have until the 29th of this month for Caliber to fix it. I am at my wit's end. They do not seem organize. They have to call the city to have it fixed. I spoke to a rep for the city who said no one from Caliber Home Loans call them. They told me they called. Why would a city rep lie about that? I sent Caliber Loan a first bill upon request. I spoke with Caliber Loan was told to send them a bill. I sent them a second bill a month later. I spoke with a rep again was told to send a bill a third time. All they have to do is call and have the bill sent directly to them. I have to contact a news outlet at this point to get them to do the right thing. The amount that is delinquent is 2536 dollars.

I needed my loan moved forward as quickly as possible after my bank dropped the ball and things were coming down to the wire. After reaching out to Kevin and Bud, they had everything in place and ready to be moved forward by the next day. They were very responsive, patient and kept me informed every step.
