Our loan officer Scott ** was very patient & professional. Without his attributes you would have been pulling our hair out. He was the calm during the storms. The finance officer Kari that worked to finalize our loan was also top tier. She had a flood insurance misstep near the end of the process but we don't think it was entirely her fault. It appears the flood coverage requirements change from time to time. We were still able to close only 3 days later than we planned. I would recommend these professionals to family and friends. We are grateful and thank them very much.

Poor Communication with Loan Officer and Processor... I still have not received my gift card I was promised for the horrible service I received (I keep asking for it and as usual still no response). I had a great experience with my purchase when you were Academy, so I decided to refinance with you (now Caliber) and my experience was the exact opposite. Also, I was promised money at the end of my loan and I had to pay $950 plus I was told I would get money back from Escrow from my previous bank and they said I am getting no money back. The Loan Officer and Processor needs to communicate and educate their customers. This loan process gave me anxiety and many sleepless nights.

This is the 2nd time we have worked with Caliber and it was another great experience. The team was responsive, worked efficiently and effectively and at the end of the day helped get the deal done... early! We had an issue with an appraiser and Caliber ended up refunding the money spent, something they didn't have to do! We were very pleased and would recommend Caliber to anyone!

One delay after another, you would have thought I am the only travel nurse in the world who ever tried to buy a house. No one understood my job, no one... Worst experience of my life and one loan processor Chrissy needs more training in customer service. Even after loan said and done, papers signed and money dispersed, keys handed over, I was still sending them pay stubs! Way after the fact, I was worried the loan wasn't really a loan and finalized??!!! A week later I still worry about it...

Caliber Home Loans is the worst lending company. Very unprofessional and not responding to phone calls and numerous emails. Even though my mortgage amount way below the 80% of the equity they are still taking the PMI for months. (Almost two years and additional $4000). Also they are not giving the refund for the check my city-county sent for the homestead credit to them. I'm aggressively started paying off my loan to get away from them. Please don't go these guys for any loans. They running an organized scam. Please share any of your issues related to PMI with Caliber Home Loans.

Excellent Experience/Service.

I cannot say enough about Josh and his team in making my re-fi so simple. The entire process was completed so much faster than I anticipated and they all made things so easy for my wife and I. The online application and document upload process was helpful and most of the documents I couldn't scan I was able to text a picture of and they handled it for me.

As a licensed Realtor who used Caliber for my recent purchase, I would highly suggest you look elsewhere. Closing estimates were off by thousands, closed 2 weeks after a clear to close was given and our HUD changed 4 times before settlement all while reducing my lender credit. At the end of the day I spent 8 thousand more than what was estimated at the beginning of the loan process and 4 thousand more than what my approved HUD noted 2 weeks before we actually closed. I will never use them again or refer another client for their mortgage services. And after all of the disasters it caused for our family, all I get from Caliber is, "We don't do a lot of these types of renovation loans. Sorry."

Heather was without a doubt all I could ask for in a lender as a first time home buyer. She was always there to help clarify my questions and made feel comfortable and confident about the entire process. I highly recommend Heather at Caliber!

This was an incredibly and unnecessarily frustrating experience. I sent several emails over the months before closing doing everything I could to make sure everything was being done so there would be as few problems as possible during closing week and on closing day. At the very end Caliber wanted, among other things, the most recent copy of my MONTHLY account statement from the account my closing funds were coming from. That statement wasn't due to post until about 3 days before closing. They had already received numerous statements before. Since this statement wasn't due to post until 3 days before closing, I happily offered, wanted, and practically begged to provide a "real time" print off of what was in the account. That wasn't good enough for them. My credit was (is) stellar with a score of 793 and I was way more than qualified for the loan. Their lack of cooperation and "common sense" was mind blowing.

Jodie is fast, experienced, and helpful. She answers questions right away and made the application process very smooth. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I didn't get a copy of the HUD going in to settlement because Caliber corporate was slow to release it. Otherwise, great experience!

I worked specifically with Kevin, Travis, and Liza. They were all so friendly and helpful, and never seemed annoyed or frustrated by the amount of questions or concerns I had. The process overall was not terribly difficult. We did have to get a lot of verification paperwork, but I am sure that varies by situation. They all worked promptly and accurately, and closing happened on time with no issues. I would definitely, at this point, recommend Caliber Home Loans.

I was recently serve court papers for miss payments, I paid my mortgage but Caliber was claiming I did not. I call every day and nothing was being done. The day before the hearing my name was taken off the calendar. This company is full of incompetence workers and I am disgusted with the way they are treating the public.

I especially appreciated Bill's attendance at my closing as there was an issue with the title company locating the wire due to volume. And he was able to straighten it out on the spot.

The whole process was great! The only complaint I have is that when I went to sign the papers at closing I was told I owed around $2,000 and no one ever told me that my loan changed! I was always told I wasn't going to have to pay any money at closing! Since I didn't have the cashier's check with me we had to reschedule a few days later to sign the closing papers.

Everything was good in the beginning. Everyone was communicating. It was easy to get a hold of everyone and get our questions answered. We were told from the beginning that closing on October 1st would make our first payment in December. We kept with this plan for over a month. Our apartment lease wasn't up until the middle of November. So with a mortgage due in December we wouldn't be overlapping in payments. When we signed all of the paperwork with Theresa she told us that if we close on the 1st of October, our first payment wouldn't be until December.

We had a positive experience working with John **, our lender. He was licensed in both Washington and Michigan. Since we were buying a home in Michigan, but currently resided in Washington, this was a benefit. John was very thorough and for the most part was careful to make sure no part of the process was ever waiting on him. He was proactive in ensuring we were prepared with what the underwriter would require. He was responsive when it came to text messages, emails, and phone calls, even responding after business hours and on the weekends. A few times he was overly cautious and concerned about potential future issues that our realtor told us were unlikely to occur, which resulted in some added anxiety over things we did not need to worry about. However, it is better to be over-prepared than under-prepared.

I had many repeat emails asking for repeated things that were already in the hands of a number of people. Miscommunication was happening constantly and it was extremely frustrating. Also a lack of communication was a constant. Please work with your staff on communication and follow through.

We dealt with Rocco ** and he got everything done for us in time for closing. The only thing I didn't like was feeling like waiting for the last minute to be sure everything was final. I wish I had more than a day's notice when closing was but I think that's just the way getting a mortgage works. Just another great experience with Lisa **. She was always available to answer our questions even outside of regular business hours. Last year I decided to refi my house. I had gone through a broker, who set me up with another mortgage company. It was a huge hassle. There was an excessive amount of paperwork involved. Then when I got the appraisal, he listed an absurd amount of work that had to be done in order to get the refi - things from removing the door from the guest bedroom to the utility room (not going to happen), and replacing the door from the utility room to the backyard. (Valid, but he said it would cost $30. The door itself was $200, and it cost $200 more to have it installed. The guy didn't know what he was talking about.)

We recently refinanced our home loan through Caliber. Our loan had been with Caliber for approx 1 yr and we were contacted by Keith ** about our options for refinance with Caliber to lessen our loan length. We went through the process and Keith was great, however, we are still currently waiting to hear something about a possible escrow overage since we have closed on the refinance. We had received a check in the mail in late August just a couple of weeks before closing explaining an escrow overage on our original home loan. When we asked if this check was valid, we were told no and to not cash this check. It was for $1200.00+.

The only thing I would suggest is that the loan officer make it clear that the title company needs either cash or a cashier's check. That wasn't apparent and it made for some last minute scrambling.

Our loan was on a 30-day schedule at the seller's request. Although there were several hiccups in the compressed time frame all was in line. The closing was scheduled for 10-9 and on 10-8 a "random QC audit" that would take at least 1.5 days was done. We are out of town buyers and had made the trip specifically to close and take possession. The timing also put it on a bank holiday weekend. We had to miss two additional days of work to close on 10-13. The company should have rules about how near to closing to pull loans randomly for an audit.

Caliber Home Loans personnel were great. The only negative aspect was the amount of documents they kept asking for and at times communication issues. But this was a special case since NO ONE would finance us due to a foreclosure that was less than 3 years ago, even though we filed for bankruptcy and were discharged in 2011. I commend the whole staff because they were very helpful. My case was different, like I said because I was injured and lost everything when I was terminated for my disability. If it was not for Caliber Home Loans we would still be renting. We are very grateful for their help and highly recommend them.

The Loan Officer Greg ** was the only reason I stayed through the painful process. The company in my opinion has been less than truthful and extremely difficult. What should have been a quick and painless process was continually dragged out. I will forever remember the pain and discomfort. If you are looking for a refinance or purchase, do not use Caliber. I will continue to tell others to not use Caliber for financing if at all possible.

Loan officer very nice. Hard to get a hold of. Said I would receive things at a certain time but, I never got them when they said I would, it was always at a later date. Underwiting process was terrible. Submitted same docs more than once. Was told everything was ok and then told "oh sorry I need something else." Closing process was a complete cluster. No one knew what was going on. Closing process added unnecessary stress to my family vacation. Nice people, when you were able to get a hold of them, but really, really terrible experience. Had to request my hard copies of my closing docs several time before getting them sent to me. Constantly promising but not delivering in a timely manner. I was told that I could put payments into escrow and then at the last min. was told "sorry we can't do that because someone screwed up." So even though we can't move into the house until renovations are done, you will still need to make the payments.

While we were very happy with our loan officer, dealing with the demands of the underwriters became a full-time job when each submission of documents lead to more requests - many of them for items we'd already submitted. We closed late when the underwriters "forgot" to request our tax transcripts. The underwriters created lots of extra work for the loan officer, us and the realtors involved - they really lacked professionalism. We would not recommend Caliber to anyone unless you want added frustration!

Caliber Home Loans has, on two separate occasions, defrauded me out of PMI payments. First, when they acquired my loan from the issuing bank, they claimed that they didn't receive one month's worth of payments when the funds were transferred. This may have been the case, but it's not my fault. I have records showing that I paid 12 months of payments in 12 months. If they had an issue, it was their mistake and they should take it up with the bank they acquired the loan from... Instead, they just stole an extra month's payment out of my account. The refuse to deal with anyone in any format other than printed letters via US mail... So every communication requires weeks and there is no way to reach anyone other than the front-line customer service (who are powerless). Basically, they stonewalled me with their 'policies'.

Courteous customer service. It would have been nice if the property to be purchased was better researched to know it was not a condo but a PUD, planned unit development. Took too long to determine what hazardous ins coverage was needed and or what Caliber Loans would accept and too long to know what our final closing cost was going to be from the underwriters prior to settlement. Very glad for the patience given from all when answering our questions.

Communication was lacking greatly from the team during our loan process. Communication was made to be a big deal at the start of the process. An email detailing how important communication from us was sent out, however, we were not communicated with to the same degree that was expected from us. We assumed since Caliber were the professionals in loans, that they would ensure to explain the details to us when making decisions on one of the biggest loans of our lives. We felt as if we constantly needed to clarify what was needed from us when emails were sent over. Often, we wasted time sending the wrong things, or not sending complete requests because the instructions were not clear. Again, Caliber were the professionals in this process, yet we felt we were expected to just "know" what they wanted & what was expected.

Caliber loans and, in particular, Joshua ** and Barbara ** were excellent. I was very pleased with the service. The loan product was as described, I was informed of status regularly, and the loan was ready and closed on time with no delays or issues.

Every detail was covered without a hitch and we found the experience to be very positive. Beth is a "can do" person and handled all of the details quickly and efficiently. We interacted with two employees, both of whom were short, argumentative, and condescending more than once. Much time was wasted pursuing a type of loan that we did not qualify for because the salesperson forgot important information we initially disclosed. Phone calls were not always returned promptly, nor questions answered, and what was required from us continuously changed. We sent the same paperwork multiple times and had to verify our verifications. The process was long and stressful. It felt like they were working against us instead of for us.

Brent ** was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He understood our frustrations with everything done over the computer and patiently helped us navigate our way through the loan process.

My wife and I were first-time home buyers, and although Caliber was fairly good at quickly communicating with us when things came up, we weren't satisfied with the quality of the communication. It often felt like our lending agent and the agent's assistants didn't tell each other what they had told/promised us. We got e-mails asking us to sign documents with no warning. I think the best thing that Caliber could've done for us in this experience was to just provide us with a checklist of all the things that we would need to do before we closed on the home. This would be a simple thing on their end, but it would have been great for us to know that a week before we closed, we should've had all of our bank statements sent over to our agent's assistant, rather than getting e-mails a few days before closing requesting bank statements.

Buying home - Very helpful, and stay with you in the whole process.

We did not have a good experience with the loan officer who handled our loan and the original loan processor. There were several error that led to delays in closing and if it were not for the new loan processor that was put on our loan we would probably not been able to get the loan processed and closed on time. I had to ask that the loan officer no longer contact us during the final closing.

While I want to start by saying that it worked out in the end, our experience was poor overall. We were pre-approved for a mortgage but when it came time to proceed, we ran into problems with closing because of student loans our broker first claimed that they didn't notice. Then, our broker claimed the rules that were causing the challenges were new, but that did not seem to be the case upon further research and discussion with my family's broker. Regardless, we went through a number of iterations that first involved extended family, who could have paid for the whole house in cash, attempting to cosign the loan. They too were still not approved because of student loans. There was an attempt to take my husband off of the loan completely since he was not contributing at the time.

Doing business with Caliber was the most stressful and difficult situation I've ever been through. Worked with their "team" when buying my house. And none of their "team" worked together. I was constantly having to answer the same questions over and over and do the same paperwork over and over because they didn't share information. Then every time I had questions they would have me going in circles for days and then as soon as they gave me an answered it would change a day or 2 later.

I would highly recommend Caliber Home Loans! This being my first time applying for a home loan, I wasn't sure what to expect. Caliber made my experience exceptional from beginning to end. They took the time to answer every single question I had, regardless of the amount. From the online application to the closing (which by the way was on time), Caliber Home Loans exceeded my expectations. Working with Ron ** is always a pleasure. He made the experience good. I have to say the process did seem more difficult than I remember with past closings. We were pretty rushed towards the end, but I don't blame all of that on Caliber loans. The appraiser seemed to be the main source of the problem. After closing I had to wait over an hour for the funds to arrive at the title company before I could leave. I've never experienced that before.

As first time home buyers, we really had no idea what to expect when working both with a lender and a realtor. We had been told by others who had purchased homes what to look for, what to expect, and how we should be treated. Our realtor, who became our realtor by accident and not by choice, was horrible and he is the one that told us about Caliber because his good friend works as the branch manager. We have been very unhappy with our entire experience with the Caliber office in Chandler, AZ. Our mortgage officer (who again was also the branch manager) did not show up for the closing nor did our realtor. When our friends and family and even strangers heard that, they were all mortified and said we should not have went through that process alone and it was both our loan officer and realtor's responsibility to be there.

Yesterday afternoon I called the number on my loan statement to ask a question. After waiting 20 minutes on hold, I spoke with a representative who told me that I needed to speak with someone in the property tax department. He gave me the number and then transferred me. After holding for 15 minutes I thought I had been connected to the wrong number so I hung up and called the number given to me. I waited on hold for another 45 minutes and finally gave up. I have a new home loan and this was my first direct interaction with Caliber Loans. I hope this is not your typical customer service.

These guys are great! Always kept me informed on the progress of my loan. I would definitely recommend them to family.

My experience with Caliber Home Loan was very stressing. Always change the proceeding, always ask me for papers that already give them, the closing time we change at least 5 times, etc. The only that I really recommended is Pat, because don't matter what, he always was with me, even he had a big headache with this operation. The good thing that was everything was approved after a lot issues that we find it in the way.
