Caliber Home Loans, and especially Linda ** and her group, were exceptional. I had not purchased a home for many years. They kept me informed of each step and the status of my loan. They were very professional and a delight to work with. Thank you!

Caliber was able to close my loan quickly and with little interaction from me. They provided a great 30 year fixed rate, knew what they were doing, and didn't ask me for the same paperwork multiple times. This was so much smoother than my last lending experience.

It took 5 months do get a home refinance done. It should have taken 6 weeks. The whole process left me frustrated and upset. I had to make numerous phone calls and emails to push this forward then had to reschedule the closing a few times.

We are very happy for the accomplish of our first home. It was a very challenge process but at the same time educational for us our first investment. Nothing like the great team that made it happen, you have a very delicate touch to deal with the details and challenges. We are very thankful on God for letting us onto your path. Like pulling eye teeth. Started off good, then got passed off to another agent, then another agent. Went back to the original agent. Finally got what we needed. Then tried to set up payments and now we're back to square 1 again.

Jolene ** and her team are my heroes! I was deep in the home-buying process with only 21 days to go when my lender told me they would not be able to close on time. My realtor suggested that I contact Jolene, and she assured me from the start that as long as I got her team everything they needed, she would make closing happen on time. Everything was going smoothly until literally the last day... when my seller told me "they" couldn't close on time! Jolene and her team jumped into high gear, keeping me updated on everything going on, getting everything primed and ready to go so that when our seller closed four days later, we were able to pull off a simultaneous closing and get into the house the same day. The Caliber team did an excellent job from start to finish. After having a terrible experience with another lender, it's clear that Caliber can not only handle requests quickly and professionally but also follow through with customers to ensure expectations were met.

I have now refinanced a previous home, financed a new home, and purchased a lake home with Caliber. The loan officers made the process as painless as possible. The process was also very quick. Interest rates were competitive. One of the best features was that Caliber holds its own loans. I no longer have to go through the hassle of changing my bank payments to new account and routing numbers!

Initially, my experience with Caliber was fantastic. The process was quite easy and my local Caliber representative was very, very helpful. Even calling the national customer service representatives proved to be surprisingly beneficial. However, my local representative has failed me greatly in terms of providing service after the loan. My payment is increasing significantly next year--almost $650--and naturally, I wanted to know what happened and why this was occurring. Initially, my local representative was very responsive, but it appears some sort of error on his end may have been the reason for the abnormally large increase, and he suddenly just quit responding to me after numerous requests.

They will fight for you... They have wonderful plans for people with "Less than perfect" credit, bankruptcies, even repossessions. Give them a call, you will be glad you did. The staff is very knowledgeable & they stay in constant contact with you as things happen, or if they need anything from you. If you call them they Will call you back. If you email them they are right on top of it. I would recommend them to ALL my friends... As a matter of fact I already have.

Overall the experience is quite smooth. I purchased a condo for investment so the mortgage part is my concern. The initial plan is not working since this is an investment condo. Then the originator figured out a second plan with me very soon. That's good part. After I submit the documents, it moves forward quite good. However, at last minute we found an issue that my wife is not in US becomes a blocker which I reminded the broker long time ago and multiple times. Fortunately we figured out a mitigate plan soon and executed smoothly. However, if broker can improve this area and not putting an assumption that the parties need to sign doc will always be available, that will be great.

We needed a quick closing and Caliber got it done. The customer service and attention we had from our loan officer, Patrice **, and her team, went above all expectations!! I would highly recommend this company for any mortgage needs.

I'm a current Caliber customer which they have truly exceeded my expectations. Everything with that process went just as smooth as butter. Now here comes the boom... I decided to do a streamline refinance with them and this is where the ** hits the fan. I'm way past livid at this point. If refinance loans aren't a priority for them, they could've - no make that - should've let me know that from the onset setting the expectation whereas I the customer could stay or taken my business elsewhere.

She meet me on time, however she handed me a large stack of paperwork saying "read this and sign where needed, and if you have any questions we will call the company." This was overwhelming, I have refinanced before and the notary would go over the paperwork and at least point out where to sign. My son and daughter in law worked with this company to obtain a mortgage! They were literally dragged through hell and back. They would set a closing date and then extend it. They received a closing disclosure and then all of a sudden it was a no when they were told they were approved. They eventually pulled the loan and had to start again with another loan company. We met Mr. ** through a recommendation of our realtor Jessica ** 8 months ago. At our first meeting with Greg we covered the financial information needed for pre-approval. The pre-approval was provided in two days to our realtor. Mr. ** also shared with us how the loan process would work. We made multiple offer on properties in the San Diego area, each time Mr ** and his crew provided immediate documentation to the sellers. In the end we purchased a property, closed early due to efficient handling of the mortgage. In fact Mr. ** called and recommended we lock that day because he foresaw an increase in interest rates imminently. We are pleased with the whole process and the prompt services offered by Mr. **. His team kept us informed every step of the way, it could not have gone any more smoothly.

Everyone at Caliber tried to do their best on our refinance but because it was a different type of project some new information was not completely known to all parties at Caliber. From the get-go, Tony **, Glen ** and Melanie ** were outstanding. The process was incredibly smooth and transparent upfront. It wasn't until close to closing that our processor began requesting a signed CD from the sale of our current home, being a simultaneous close, (which according to our local title agent, is not ever provided being that it does not ever reflect the terms of the transaction not being handled by Caliber aka the sale of our current home), we had been advised by our realtor and title that the estimated settlement documentation should have provided Caliber with what was needed. These jokers are worse than the Florida jerks who preceded them! They violate laws with impunity, give you the runaround, take their sweet time responding, and then when they finally do respond, their letters are extremely unhelpful and riddled with spelling and grammatical errors. Time to take them to court.

I originally did my Home loan with Bank 34 who then sold the loan off to Caliber Home Loans upon completion of the loan and purchase of property. I understand that is a common practice. No big deal but Caliber not only cashes post dated checks upon receipt but they don't even have the courtesy to inform the payee that there is an issue with the payment. Then to boot add a $30 fee to the loan payment. As for their customer service, their automated phone system is difficult to navigate. I had to use a menu that had nothing to do with my issue in order to get to a representative. I have done many loans, unsecured and auto loans, and never before had I had such issues. The companies I have dealt with in the past have contacted me if there was an issue with the payment but not Caliber Home Loans Incorporated. I intend to refinance with someone else as soon as possible.

I was a victim of identity theft with CIT Financial. It was removed from my name and case dismissed. Caliber Home Loans took over CIT Loans and then proceeded to discharge debt against me for a loan that was identity theft. I have reached out but not 1 department knows who to connect me with so they can fix.

My father passed away and I held a property in joint tenancy, but was not on the mortgage. Attempted to obtain a mortgage loan through them and after almost 90 days working with them, was asked to produce Probate Documents that don't exist since we are not in Probate. I was then asked to have my brother write a gift letter stating he gifted money to me, which was false as my brother was a signer on an account with my father and wrote out a check for my share of my father's estate. This company is irresponsible and should not be allowed to do business in MN if they don't know the estate planning laws here!

Carl ** is one of the best loan officers I have ever dealt with. He was always patient, friendly and courteous. I would recommend Caliber to anyone looking to purchase a home. I also like the fact that Caliber does not sell their mortgages but rather they keep them and service them for the life of the loan. You don't get that very often any more.

Customer Service calls disconnect automatically due to a technical difficulty today 10/4. Really? No one can answer a phone call, no backup... Really? I tried to call my local office to hear that they are only originators, please call servicing... So, no customer service available. I called to find out why my mortgage payment had not been automatically withdrawn as in all the previous months since its origination. I discovered that if you change anything about your automatic withdrawals it deletes the previous automatic withdrawal and treats you as if you have a complete new one. This is an old and dated approach to updating accounts... on top of having to wait a day for the payment to post.

I worked with Kim and she was great to work with! She was quick in handling my loan and with any concerns I had, she was more than happy to address it. At closing it was challenging for us to close on time because of some hiccups we had but she helped us all the way and we ended closing early! I tried to register with your website today so I can pay my bill but you won't even let me log in without "confirming my email." I have asked for you to send me a confirmation email twice now and you still haven't. It has been a couple hours since I registered and I have received nothing. Do you not want me to make a payment? Why are you making it so difficult for me to make a stupid payment? I'm starting to question the integrity of your company.

Caliber successfully financed my purchase of an investment condo. 30% down, sterling credit, but "iffy" income. They were forthcoming with information when asked. Process not transparent. Came together with no time to spare, although I expect that would be the case with anyone. Worked with me on compiling all the data needed to complete the loan package.
