I worked with Doug ** and his team who are all great. After we discussed my financial situation/capabilities, he indicated that we could potentially close in a 30 day period. The entire process went quickly and the only serious delays were due to title company issues or the out of state sellers. I can easily recommend Caliber to other buyers due to your excellent customer service attitude.

This was my first home buying experience and I can honestly say that Siam ** and the team at Caliber made it a smooth process. She kept me informed of what was going on and the next steps along with answering all of my never ending questions! I could not have imagined this being a better process. I am extremely happy in my new home and thankful for their partnership in the process.

Dealing with the mortgage process is arduous and demanding and generally unpleasant. However, Caliber is there to back you up every step of the way to help you through the process with friendly supportive people who advocate for you and help you navigate the bureaucracy of the mortgage application process. I highly recommend them because the only way to buy a house that is less stressful is to be independently wealthy and able to write a $200,000 check and buy the house with your own savings. Unless you fall into that category, Caliber is your best option.

We were not aware of the total amount of personal information that you have to provide in order to get a loan after 2007. Mike ** helped us a lot by showing how to get this information from the Internet. We really could not have done it without Mike and access to the Internet. It allowed escrow to close on time.

Hey there, first time house buyer and finding out that my paperwork was wrong and had to be corrected at least twice. Normally, this wouldn't be too difficult for me to go to correct with the exception of the fact that I work 12+hours daily and recently got internet to where I could actually use my computer to help make corrections. I'm a first time house buyer and didn't know what to expect. My experience was wonderful up until I found out that there were more corrections to be make to the contract after I have already moved in.

Overall a great team to work with. Provided more information than needed initially, but as I became more educated on the process appreciated it as I could look back at prior notes and quotes with better understanding. Brad and his team were great to work with, usually very prompt, appeared to have my interests prioritized. About mid-way through the loan process I was referred by a colleague to another agency that had (marginally) lower fees at closing and competitive rates. However, the slightly higher fees at Caliber were worth the attention, friendliness, and the sense that they went out of their way to answer whatever questions or demands that I had.

During the application process I was guided through the many pitfalls and forms required. Explanations were given for each and every step to ensure I made informed decisions. Some lenders do not finance modulars but Caliber did. If you have the privilege of working with Mitzi ** you will have no worries!

They purchased my loan from another lender. No problems. They actually LOWERED my rate earlier this year which lowered my payments! I have only called once and got very good service.

Our home was damaged during hurricane Irma on 9-11-17. We had a 70’ tree fall on our house. Apparently, our claim amount was just above the threshold for requiring what is referred to as a “monitored claim”. This means that the insurance company will hold and release money to ensure everything is repaired in accordance with our insurance adjusters report. It seems simple enough and I actually agree with the process, but, then comes the Caliber Home Loan’s Insurance Claims Department. This department has become nothing less than a complete nightmare.

We worked with Jay **. He was very knowledgeable. Jay was able to explain the steps needed to close on our home. Everyone was respectful and extremely helpful. The company itself was able to give us loan when we were having problems with a bank. The whole process was streamlined and quick. I would highly recommend it.

I refinanced my home with Caliber Home. The people who work there are excellent. They are prompt, kind, and very competent. My only criticism is with appraiser who came to Caliber Home. A little rude and arrogant. Did not complete his work in a timely manner. His comment was that the bank will get their appraisal when I finish it - there isn’t anything they can do about it because I’m the only appraiser they have. Caliber needs to find new appraisers.

Seemed to be a lot of "additional" requests for information, but in your defense, the perimeters of finance have changed in the last 15 to 20 years. I have also had the luxury of dealing with a local bank with personal connection and a lot of the process was handled with a phone call. I was not at all upset with Caliber, the whole process took place as they said it would.

On 10/21/17, I requested a payoff amount through 11/5/17, from their website, which was provided. On 10/27, again, through their website, I sent an email confirming the payoff amount quote would be transferred thru my regular online banking I have used with them for 5 years. The amount was sent to them on 10/31/17. Their website payment activity for my account shows it. 11 mysterious additional activities with this payment over the next 2 days now shows I still owe $1400. I called customer service on 11/1/17.

Had a great experience. Thank you for everything. I have told friends and family. Would use you guys again in the future. Would like to see you guys work with commercial type loans. But how easy and friendly the staff are here in Klamath Falls was awesome. Thank you again.

Caliber Home Loans bought my loan not long after I bought my first house. They then sold it to Fannie Mae (but still service the loan). Everything was good, and I even refinanced with them last year. Now the blinders are off! Apparently, they estimated my escrow account, and were way off on the amount. I suddenly owe almost $3,000 in escrow, despite the fact that I pay my entire bill from them monthly. Now, I either have the option of paying the $3,000 plus a $200 increase in my monthly payment, or increase my monthly payment by almost $375 a month. I understand they only check the escrow once a year, but come on! I've tried to repeatedly sort it out, only to be told by customer service that, "There is no escrow department, that's what I'm trained to do". Best I can tell, they screwed up and now I'm paying the price!

Jay and Stacy did a great job with ensuring the loan process and closing was as smooth and seamless as possible. I would recommend Caliber without hesitation to anyone interested in buying a home. We worked the process from overseas since we are a military family and the communication was flawless.

A great help even when things get weird. Buying a home is always a long and sometimes painful process. Because my tax forms reflected that I was self-employed getting approved for financing became difficult. My closing was fast and pretty simple! The folks that helped me with the loan were awesome!! The only part that was discouraging was the appraisal portion of it, the way they do that is by influence of other properties in surrounding areas. I hope someday they go by what it would cost to replace it.

We have had our mortgage for 1 year with Caliber. We always mailed our payment out in the first week of the month allowing 10 days for them to receive it. All was well until last month when we received a late charge. We compared bank records and contacted Caliber as to why it took so long for them to process the payment. They removed the late fee. This month we sent the check even earlier allowing 12 days for the check to be received by Caliber. Once again a late fee! Caliber claims it took 15 days for them to receive and process the check. After inquiring with the post office, I was informed that it is fully reasonable for them to receive the check within days. Caliber would not reverse the charge. Clearly this is an unreasonable time to process and appears an excuse to levy late fees.

I would like to begin by saying that my experience with Jeff ** was excellent and he delivered on everything he promised. The trouble began when my loan was transferred to a large bank (which Jeff advised might happen). After the account showed up with the new bank I received another bill from Caliber. Upon calling customer service I had to explain to them that my account had been transferred because the CSR did not realize this was the case. In fact, she thought the account had been transferred TO Caliber. In any event, she ultimately advised the bill was sent in error and could be disregarded. Well, I'm glad they did send that bill in error because upon comparing it to the opening statement with the new bank, I realized Caliber had not sent the right totals to the new bank because my balance was shorted the additional principal payment I had made. I am in the process of attempting to have the problem rectified...

Our agent Eric ** did an awesome job and did his best to speed up the process that was horribly slowed by the underwriters. They dragged their feet for 2 plus weeks and then asked for many documents one week before closing. This is unacceptable and was in no way shape or form any fault of Eric. I wish to praise him and not hinder him at all. All our problems started and ended with the underwriting team and their horrible concept of time and delayed our closing. Eric is the best.

Their interest rate beat our local lending leader by 0.5%. The loan went through with very little difficulty. Great company, great lender, great service. Their choice of an appraiser was very sketchy, as she undercut our home value by about $30,000, but ultimately all that means is I owe less in the end.

Terrible company to work with, Loan officers do not know products or programs well at all. Since the change from Banc Loans they have been constantly trying to run my credit for these special "programs" that were in line with a competitor I got approved for yet knew nothing about these programs. Go figure. I had already got approved when they were Banc Loans and got on the waiting list, but needed to run credit under new name. Since I didn't want to run my credit again they pulled me off the waiting list as if it was all my fault, they changed names.

Caliber closed with so many problems on my loan at the time of closing. Our experience was great. We paid manually every month online - on-time. Then, after 15 months, we made the mistake of signing up for automatic payments. The problem with automatic payments is that Caliber's system delays the actual payment for a month. My wife and I are busy like most people and over the course of time forgot the fact that the automatic payment system has a one-month delay. We forgot to make the interim monthly payment. To be fair, they did call while my wife was driving and she couldn't take care of it at the time because... she was driving - safety comes first.

We had a great experience dealing with Caliber during our refinance. Everything went smoothly and closed when they said it would. It was tedious at times and there was lots of paperwork, but I would not hesitate to deal with Caliber again. Thanks.

Overall customer service was exceptional up until funding. We funded on 10 August 2017 and to date (30 August 2017), the escrow on our original loan with Caliber has not closed and we have not received the monies from that account. Also, our annual homeowner's insurance premium was due on 17 August 2017 and was paid on 1 August 2017 out of the escrow from our old loan. We were also charged for this premium under other costs with our new loan. This has not been refunded to us to date either.

Cindy ** and Ashley were very helpful and made life super easy! They answer questions any time of day or night. You can call or email and someone will get back with you right away! The amount of paperwork that you need to turn in is also very minimal compared to other places that make you submit tons of stuff.

Roof started leaking, so I filed an insurance claim and had the adjuster look at the roof. Due to leak, hail damage and other damage, they are replacing my roof. The check was obviously made out to me AND Caliber, so I called Caliber to find out how to get the check endorsed so that I could get my roof fixed. I was told to simply mail the check in. A week later I get a letter telling me to mail in other things that they need before they'll return the check, and all the while my roof is still leaking. It would have been nice if they would have told me to mail that in with the check. Gross incompetence which is undoubtedly causing more damage from the extra time with a leaky roof. Will personally not use Caliber in the future.

My husband had a brain aneurysm in 2016. I fell behind on a house payment in December. Promptly called them to find out options to keep us in good standing. Being a proper adult, asking for help. They advised a loan modification. Started the paperwork in December, finally got the approval at the end of February. Trial payments started in April I believe. All the time I am being told once the modification is completed and approved the late payments would be removed and our account would show current.

The paperwork I sign for my closing had one page missing, which is about $3,542 different, not one single person informed me of this, until I got a letter from my insurance. I have tried many times to get answers, no reply, I was told the VP would call me, never happen. I finally got the missing page from the title company. So because Caliber made an error, I have to pay the price!! I would never have signed this loan if I knew that it was going to be $3,542.00 dollars more. I trusted Caliber, but NO one has done right by me. Never again. I am going to try to refinance somewhere else, I know it will cost me, but Caliber won't be taking any more money from me!! Deceit is a terrible to treat a customer!!

Caliber did a great job processing our mortgage loan. We have no substantive complaints. Sarah ** did a great job across the board for us. Advice for the future - if someone is using a VA loan, remind them of the high loan processing fee. Had I remembered that high fee, I may have considered just putting 20% down. But we were pretty far into the process by then. My fault though, not Caliber's.
