Unsatisfactory Bridge Work. I have dealing with the Satellite Beach office for 2 years now trying to get a bridge completed that actually fits. I have learned now that my mouth was not adequate for a Bridge, but was advised and completed by a dentist no longer there. Now, I am being told by the office manager that the notes say that I agreed to do this treatment. I would have NEVER spent $6000 of my money for such a device that would not work. I am now being told to "make this right", I need to pay additional expenses out of my pocket. Wondering how GEHA who paid so much towards this would handle the situation.

I called Bright Now dental April 4 and made an appointment for 12 PM on April 26th at the Denver Colorado downtown office at 1955 Arapahoe St. I even got a text yesterday confirming the appointment. Today I called the office to find out how to access free parking. To my surprise when I called I was told I do not have an appointment today. When I told them the above information; I was told they don't know really what happened. Had you trust a company that can't even make an appointment with a dental operation? This is horrible customer service.

Terrible, terrible service!!! My daughter had appointment for a cleaning, that was made 6 months in advance. We received 3 notifications to confirm her appointment at the time it was suppose to be. We arrived at the office on time. The office wasn’t even opened. Unbelievable! Really? Sometime in the last 6 months the office hours changed. So why no phone call? Why no notice at all?
Even with the automated service? No brainer to let patients know of this ahead of time. I’m pretty positive my daughter was not the only one this happened to. I will no longer bringing my business with my family to Bright Now! Dental Let’s not forget all the other times. Always an issue for an appointment. BTW, called the district manager. She was unaware of this problem and the automated service! Yeah right. But she was able to tell me the location that my family goes to. The office hours did change a couple months ago. Lots of cleaning appointments made in advance! Duh! So no phone call, no letter in the mail, no email to notify patients of office hours changing?

They put an intradental camera wand in my mouth that was laid on the counter behind the keyboard in a dust pile and only wiped it with dry gauze in April 2019. They delivered a crown and filed it down to the metal and want another try to get it right instead of a refund. Pulled an infected tooth that should have been done by a surgeon, took over an hour, felt it all then had additional surgery somewhere else to get root tips that were left in 2017.
I've had girls put their hands in their pocket to text and then put them back into my mouth. One girl tried to give me three panaram x-rays in a row because she couldn't get it right. I stopped her after two. A hygenist bumped the Dr while he was filing in my mouth and cut me. Back in 2017. The office manager tried to get a picture of my tooth that I wanted a refund on because it was ruined and the girl she passed me off to tried to take an x-ray (seriously) incompetence.
The bathroom has dried cement all over the sink and urine smells. Everybody I know that goes there gets a scaling cleaning. It hurts! But they get paid better for it than a normal cleaning. I hear the front staff badmouthing the backstaff and other offices, complaining about patients. Employers should stop buying their contracts. I'd rather let a student practice on me at a dental school than go here. Beware. Satellite Beach, Florida.

I didn’t get any call as I was promised, our experience with Bright Now Dental was not as we had since we move there, her doctor for the braces left and we never been told he is not there anymore! My daughter had a New Doctor for few times and he suddenly decided to remove her braces saying she didn’t brush her teeth!! BRACES WAS PAID WITH THE CREDIT, after dispute the credit (was paid for service didn’t get rendered and completed!!) this affected my credit and my daughter braces was left and didn’t get removed because manager insist to pay more??? Then it can be removed.
Money was paid in Full, then again braces was not removed during the appointments as doctor gave me a form to sign that I requested to remove the braces, not him who decided to remove it, this is a Fraud! We left because no one accepted to remove the braces. I called many times since the day we found out that her doctor left and asked for different orthodontist but no one referred us as all what you wanted to KEEP THE PATIENT AND GET THE MONEY AND NEVER TREATED THE PATIENT WITH RESPECT AND EMPATHY. My daughter teeth got destroyed because of the delay in her care and forcing us to stay with a physician that we never choose.

I have been going to this office for 8 years. Have spent thousands of dollars at this office located at 27066 Us 19 Clearwater FL. I never had a problem until April 3/2019. I made an appt. to have my bridge temporarily re-glued (they put this bridge in less than 3 years ago cost over $3000.00), was told to come in at 8:00 A.M. and it would only take a few minutes. I showed up. Was taken about 30 minutes later. The person who was doing this did not have a clue what I was there for. She wanted to take X-rays and when I tried to tell her, some other nasty lady yells from the next cubicle. She is new, were teaching her and when I tried to tell her she bit my head off.
The dentist who I have never seen before was nice and instructed her what to do. She was trying to clean my bridge with a brush that the dentist said not use. It will damage them. I was supposed to get just get temporary glue due to the fact I had another appt. for April 22/19 for a new bridge but she used the permanent glue and I heard the dentist tell her to use it, so I guess he did know what I was there for considering they would have to pull them out in 20 days. After they put them in she was trying to clean the excess glue off and was digging into my gums with a sharp pick. When I told her she was hurting me SHE SAID, "I AM NOT HURTING YOU."
I ask her to leave and they sent another nasty lady to finish cleaning. The new person was not nice either and flicked some glue into my eye. (Do not know if was intentional). We had to stop and clean out my eye. She then gave me some protective glasses - A LITTLE TOO LATE!!! My eye has be inflamed since and if it does not clear up soon will have to go the eye doctor. If my eye is damaged I will be going to see a lawyer next. This is all true so stay away, please feel free to contact me at **. This is all true.

This office engages in unfair billing practices. They do work not covered by insurance companies without getting approval from the patient and then bills you for those services. I have refused to pay for those charges and now it has gone to a collection agency. I have provided correspondence twice with no response. I am now submitting complaint with Department of Consumer Affairs.

I even called the district manager who was away on vacation over Christmas and he never returned my call. This place is nonsense, stay away!

I have been receiving orthodontic treatment for the last couple months. One of my brackets broke. I waited two weeks to have it fixed. I have my appointment day. I waited 2 1/2 hours for my turn. I usually have an assistant working on my mouth. I’ve had the same assistant three times and it’s very painful. Yesterday she said her patients are crybabies when I said I was in pain. I asked her, "Don’t you understand you’re pulling on the tissue and poking at the nerves in my mouth." That I simply asked her If she had ever had braces in her mouth and she said no. I don’t understand why some people work in the medical or dental industry. They have no compassion on the patients they work on. I don’t need to toughen up. People are vulnerable in a dentist chair. They are also paying a lot of money to receive quality care. It was a very painful experience.

I was disappointed with the crowns I had. The fit wasn't perfect and there was some discomfort when biting down. This was in June 2016. Later in 2017, I received an invoice because my insurance wouldn't pay the bill. My insurance had Bright Now as a preferred provider... The insurance was stating that the procedure was unnecessary. After going back and forth with corporate and the insurance company, it turned out that the dentist didn't provide a medical reason for the procedure. So, I had to coordinate communication between Bright Now and my insurance company to get the dentist to do his job.
So now, flash forward one more year to Dec 2018. I get a letter from Bright Now's corporate office saying I still owe $84 and if I call before Dec 15th they would reduce my bill to $64. So, I call. I mention the challenges I've had previously over this issue. The woman at corporate I'm speaking with asks to put me on hold. I agree. I hear a click but I'm not on hold. What I hear next is her telling a colleague "...$84 and I have to put up with all this **." I'm shocked, but surprisingly not too shocked. So, I hang in there... Quietly. When she had finished her rant, I asked, "Are you done?"
Silence. Nothing from the other end of the phone. It was maybe 10 seconds before I heard a click and then the call was lost. About 10 minutes later, she called back. Her tone was quite different. She asked if I could hold for a moment and when she got back on the line, she said her manager told her that they would zero out my balance. I asked if I owed the $64 she said, “No, you owe nothing Mr **, your balance is zero.” Now today on March 5th I receive a “Final Right to Cure Notice” from the corporate office. Other than the hygienist, this place is a train wreck.

Nothing more frustrating on your first visit as sitting in waiting area 45 minutes past your appointment time. The worst part is they have no control of the schedule. They have a call center in a different state take appointment. How the hell is that effective? They have no idea what is happening at any particular locations ie vacations, emergencies, sick employees off work. This is no way to do business. It makes the nice professional providers look bad. They really need to rethink how to do effective and efficient business. People and their time matter.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! To start off on a positive note - Dr. ** is very friendly & knows what he is doing, outside of that, there is ZERO upside to this company. I originally started Invisalign in February 2016. I had great dental insurance that would pay up to half of my Invisalign to a total amount of $2500. I was supposed to be done with Invisalign in February of 2018 but ended up having to do a couple of extra rounds (which was fine). My total bill was supposed to be paid in full December of 2017.
Fastforward to November 2018 when I moved out of state and no longer had the same insurance company but I had to transfer my Invisalign to a new company due to the move. This was a major pain because getting their new office manager (Danielle) to answer the phone and call me back was a struggle in itself. During this time I found out that I still had a balance of $405 that was not paid by my insurance company in December 2017 because the billing office decided to not send the final bill into my insurance. They only told me of this outstanding balance 11 months later when I no longer had the same insurance.
Now, I not only have to pay this insurance portion of the bill (that should have been covered but was not due to a billing mistake) but I now have to pay to switch my Invisalign to a different company, and pay for the retainer from the new company (which was supposed to be covered under the Bright Now! Dental price). AND Bright Now! is refusing to give me any refund for not finishing up my Invisalign because "my teeth required more Invisalign trays than originally expected." Unbelievable. If you want to spend unnecessary money, never have your calls returned, or a longer than usual time in orthodontics then that is the only way I would recommend this joke of a company.

My husband and I have been patients of Bright Now for approx 20 years. I honestly wish I never went there. I think I'd still have my teeth. I had very sensitive teeth and it hurt so badly to have them cleaned and this office was the only one that wouldn't use the new cold water ultrasonic faster way. They did it old school and would numb up really bad areas. I have great insurance so it pays for most basic things 100%. My dentist wanted all the silver fillings out of my mouth. There was no pain in those teeth. To remove those fillings it meant root canals. 14 in all. I didn't hesitate. He told me they were toxic and needed to be removed. I had to get financing.
My insurance only covered half and there's the yearly maximum benefit allowance as well. I was $10,000 in debt. Most of the teeth had to be done more than once to get the residual root that was left and by doing this it set off a world of hurt for me. I developed Trigeminal Neuralgia which is known as the suicide disease and I developed Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy after an accident on my foot. I had no idea that it could spread if trauma or injury to another body part should occur. So, I developed that as well.
My teeth were more painful after the root canals even before those other issues happened. Each crown had a rotted tooth within 6 months. You could see black at the gum line. My other teeth were starting to disintegrate. I had a couple pulled by my dentist and we discussed just having his partner oral surgeon put me in twilight and pull all of them and just put dentures in. Being in twilight was so important because I wouldn't feel as much pain therefore not triggering TN or RSD. Well I went in for 2 teeth and they got me ok for all. I had to only pay for sedation. My insurance covered everything else 100%.
I paid for sedation up front (or they wouldn't do it). I wasn't in twilight at all. He treated me like a drug addict because I'm seeing Pain Management for Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy and Trigeminal Neuralgia. I specifically told him beforehand not to write RX for pain because if I need it I would call my PM doctor to make adjustments. How is that an addict? Well I wasn't put in twilight. He butchered me. I've had huge bone splinters come out. I had to go to my dentist 2 days afterwards to get those out and he was a bit upset. Small pieces are very normal and can last for 4-6 weeks.
The thing that has me on here is on Christmas Eve I got a phone call from the debt collection Dept of Bright Now. It was only 3 weeks since they were pulled and I paid for what I was supposed to pay. Because they tend to overcharge us and make up "deductibles" that we don't have, I don't pay more than what I sign for in the office until my explanation of benefits come. And Collections!!!! After the thousands of dollars I've paid them and no unpaid bills ever!!!! Collections!!!! I'm blown away. They are hassling me daily. Every time the amount gets bigger. All I can say is buyer beware. They are about the almighty dollar.
Even before getting my teeth pulled my dentist kept trying to get me to pull just a couple more and get a bridge. You cannot use rotted teeth to hold the bridge on. All I know is I will not get my dentures there and I will try to pull these bone fragments out myself. If you have the ability to go elsewhere please do. I don't know any doctor or dentist that won't help you unless you pay them first. Now the root canal and sedation I get. But if your crown falls off and you don't have the money at that moment to glue it back on, they should do it and bill you. But no. All expenses have to be signed for and paid for before they will do anything. Ugh.

We liked the fact that we did not have to pay for the initial X-rays and there is an inexpensive service you can sign up for that helps you save 20-40 percent. Well all went well until they checked my gums and then some of my numbers were not good. I asked how could I develop gum disease with what they now said was bone loss so quickly...as my exams were always good. No explanation. No education at all... Just a proposed treatment plan with a HUGE BILL put in front of me. The same for my husband... And then the dentist that I had seen in private practice years earlier for an extended period of time asked me if I ever considered having my teeth straightened. Funny thing is he had never said that in the 10 or so years I had gone to him. RED FLAG!!
So we did a little research... And spoke to my step-daughter who is a dental hygienist. She stated she had worked for a similar company. But left as she found the demand for sales unethical. SO...the marketing tool is to bring you into the office under the premise of inexpensive services and that you are getting a good deal. Free X-rays. But then they WAM you with what they want to do. And just the approach with NO EDUCATION. Made me realize the DAMN BUCK is the bottom line. SO we left and never came back. Dodged a bullet. As a retired RN CASE MANAGER in my opinion you need to trust your dental care professionals... And I did not.

I'm in tears. I have never felt so humiliated in my life??? As I'm typing this I just want to crawl under my blankets and cry. I went to do my yearly teeth cleaning. It started when the technician looked at me and chuckled at the fact that I don't like x-rays because they hurt when they put that stuff in your mouth. Then when she was about to start I reminded her that I need the gas to help me relax. Never mind that it was on the notes for when I made the appointment and the fact I reminded the front desk again once I arrived. She looked at me and said: "for a tooth cleaning? You really need it?". Very condescending. I couldn't believe it. I was full of anxiety and fear of having sharp objects in my mouth. She made me feel so bad.
Then when she put the gas on I kept telling her I couldn't feel the gas. She kept taking deep breaths, like she was annoyed at me. She kept readjusting the hose around my nose and kept saying she needed to keep going because she was on a schedule. I didn't feel the gas until the last minute of the cleaning. The worst part was when the doctor came in, looked at my x-rays and said: "You know, you are going to lose all your teeth. Do you EVEN CARE?" I was humiliated??? Embarrassed. Disappointed. I was crying so bad when they sent me to the front desk. I told the lady what happened and she still charged me $60 for the gas. I told her I wanted to complain. She told me the office manager would call me on Monday. She wanted to make a follow up appointment. I told her: "I AM NEVER COMING BACK HERE!".

I was impressed with my first initial visits and was told they couldn’t fill the teeth I needed fixed but insisted I must get crowns on all of them. I trusted them and they said it would be better than the teeth I had then. I didn’t have insurance and took out a loan for $4,000.00 for the cost of the dental work and had it done. After the work was completed they said I needed another crown but they had missed it - I told them I’m not taking out another loan and told them that the price I paid was supposed to cover ALL the dental work that needed to be done. They said, sorry, and offered to give me a crown for half price. Now that my new crowns are in and the first week has passed they have started to fall out! I’m in and out of the Office every three-four weeks to glue them back in. I’m so upset and still, I never leave a negative comment.
They finally tell me the work that was done needed to be redone and the posts for the crowns built up in order for them to stay on. They expected ME to pay to repair the work they had done poorly. I decided to buy dental glue online and glue them back in myself when they fall out. It has caused me to be fearful when I eat, so I drink protein shakes for two meals a day to keep them from falling out - I’ve lost 96 pounds since this nightmare began and I’m still losing. I went back into their office yesterday to replace a chip/filling that had fallen out the night before. It was a small filling that they had replaced on that tooth 4 years ago because it had yellowed slightly.
I was told yesterday that I would have to have a crown on that tooth. I told him of my past experiences and said I only wanted the little chip/filling replaced again. He refused to treat me unless I agreed to get a crown! NO way! I went to a Dentist down the street in Longwood and he took care of it and it looks perfect... He didn’t even suggest a crown!!! This is My first negative review and I hope to save others from unnecessary “crowns” as l have overheard them being offered to others on my numerous trips to their office. I am furious!
FOLLOW-UP: Spoke to the office manager, Melissa, after she became aware of my negative review. She already knew of the past problems I've had and said she would look into the issue that day with the dentist to see why he refused to treat me, when the other dentist was able to replace the filling without ever suggesting a crown. Did not hear back from her until I received a bill from them for $29.00 for the x-ray they did on the day they REFUSED to treat me!!! I left her a message saying I had not wanted an x-ray done as it was a small chip/filling that fell out of the front tooth and could be easily seen. As I let the office that day I told them I am not paying for the x-ray as I did not get treated. Now I receive the bill. She did NOT resolve the Billing Issue as I requested. Furious doesn't even begin to describe how I feel!

They would not even give him a basic cleaning, and told me that "polishing" his teeth would not have done any good. A general cleaning would have removed plaque. She got up and walked out and another person came in and proceeded to tell me cost of all dental work and that doctor said I also need “deep cleaning“ which I then said I would just have the regular cleaning that my insurance would cover, I was then told they would do nothing if I refused deep cleaning because that’s the doctor recommendation and I have to do that.

Hello, I am a patient from Bright Now Dental in La Quinta. I would if possible like to remain anonymous. I have had a baffling experience so far with the staff at my dental office. First of all, when I walked in no one acknowledged me as I stood for my first time visit. A woman who I didn’t understand and who could barely speak English finally looked up and told me to sign in. The other heavyset woman never looked up and continued to talk to who looked to be like the manager. An older woman with business attire. While I signed in I overheard the conversation they were publicly having about a male worker, the manager who I later found out was Maggie, was using profanity and badmouthing him. I couldn’t believe that someone in charge of a dental office would talk about her staff in such a demeaning way. I then headed to my seat where I waited over an hour to be seen by a back of the house staff that was clearly not excited to see me.
I continued to hear gossip and people that worked at this office. By the end of my visit I knew something about everyone. Especially from the manager who did nothing helpful but openly talk about her staff. The doctor whose name I don’t remember was uninterested and told me I had very deep pockets and told me I needed a deep cleaning. I don’t know a lot about dental but I do know that #3 pockets aren’t very deep so I wanted a better explanation about why I needed the cleaning. He said the hygienist would explain, but before I got to her the heavyset woman from the front desk came in and told me I had to pay an insane amount of money for a cleaning. This office is a complete disaster. It’s obvious management does not do a good job in keeping a calm and professional workplace setting. I will never be back and I would never recommend this office to anyone.

Very bad experience with the actual visit to the Spring Hill FL office and they won’t provide accurate information to talk to their insurance billing department. They transfer you from one person to another and all refuse to answer or listen to my questions. Their insurance billing people don’t even know what an EOB (explanation of benefits) letter is. They charged me for a visit my insurance pays for and won’t reimburse me the money they owe me. Run like hell from this place.

That I am pregnant...They did not ask about my problem, just want to make an X Ray(???) so they can charge me, do I need or not that x ray, nobody cares... I found this service very unprofessional, I think they need to be trained by professionals, so the job can be done more efficiently. It is really sad. I saw there is a lot of people writing pretty same complaints. I think the company should take seriously all this complaints and unsatisfactions.

Came in for a cleaning - said didn't take my insurance but they sell their own and covers the xrays and exam. I told them I just wanted a cleaning - not possible without buying the additional insurance so ok whatever. After xrays and exam they said the insurance doesn't cover the cleaning and to fix a broken filling would be another 300 on top. Said it was only 200 last time so they looked it up and it was 200 and they "Bright Now" did the filling that broke so I said "shouldn't you fix it for free?" Since it was not at that location they would not but if I went back to the one that did they would.
So after two hours of not getting a cleaning I was off to the other location. After squeezing me in they said they would not fix it and that it now needed a cap for 1350 but they do accept my insurance. Why was the last place willing to fix it and why did I have to buy additional insurance at the last place? What kind of scam is this... Still didn't even get the cleaning I can in for so after the 4th hour I left. Insane!!!

They refused to do any preventive cleaning because they say what the Doctor recommend. I said just want my free cleaning and they refused because they charge extra for the other kind of cleaning.

My family has been going to Bright Now Dental in Fort Collins CO for several years due to they were the only one around in the area that took both of our dental insurance. I have had several run ins with the billing department who have no idea what they are doing. Every time we had any work done we would pay our portion of the bill at time of service. We would then get phone calls because they were unable to figure out which insurance was billed first. We always told them when we went in. Then it would be a year later and we would get a bill from them stating that we owed additional. They would not bill the insurance correctly or submit the requested information that was needed to the insurance to pay.
I know that we for a fact have over paid them due to them not having billed our insurance correctly. The most recent occurrence with their billing department was this week. My daughter had a bridge placed last August which they had gotten prior authorized through our Humana and Aetna insurance. We have to pay 2900 up front at time of service which we did. We get a call this week that we owe another 4000 as the insurance has not paid. We have NEVER received a bill from the for this date of service. I asked them which insurance wasn't paying. They stated that neither was paying. So I spend a hour on the phone between our Humana and Aetna insurances. I was not happy when I called back Bright Now dental.
My Humana which is primary was unable to pay due to they had requested my daughter's chart notes 7 months ago and they still had not received them from Bright Now. Aetna stated that they had never received a claim from them for this date of service. Anthony at the corporate office never returned my call so I call the office in Fort Collins.
The lady there kept trying to make me make a payment. I explained that I would not make a payment as they have not billed the insurance correctly and had not submitted the records that the insurance was needing. She tried to tell me that they didn't have these records on file. I explained that the services were done in their office in Fort Collins and in the Longmont office. She tried to tell me that I didn't know how the billing process worked. She really got rude with me when I explained that I do know how insurance billing works as I work for a medical practice and have dealt with insurance companies for 19 years. She again demanded payment which I explained that I would not pay until I had received EOB's from both of my insurance companies.
I also explained that I had paid the agreed amount at time of service that they stated was due and that the remaining was due from the insurance and I would not make a payment as they had not billed the insurance correctly like they were suppose to. I would not use these people as they have staff in the front/billing department that do not know what they are doing and will cost you more out of pocket than the agreed amount due to they don't know what they are doing.

Finally after several dunning calls I spoke to a supervisor who stated that they should have paid and she would resubmit the information. In the meantime I was to pay and then they would credit it back. The insurance sent them a check and to date I have not been credited the amount back to my card. They will not call back. At this point I fear that this could be fraud in the fact that they have gotten paid twice for the same work.

Bright Now's negligence is costing me! Last year the Elyria office took full mouth x-rays then proceeded to ignore them. For starters, they made me a partial, it cost me $1,200.00. The partial is made of Valplast and cannot be added onto or changed. They made it to wrap around a crown that had a root canal years before. I thought I was ok! I told them I wanted some cosmetic work done since I had broken a couple front teeth. They made up a plan that I believe was around $13,000.00 dollars (after they encouraged more work). When I asked questions, the dentist got angry and said "Well, make up your mind! Do you want the work or not"? I was blown away! I asked her assistant why she was so rude. She said, "Because you come in here and don't have anything done." I couldn't believe my ears! I had NEVER ever done any such thing. I was DONE with Bright Now!
I went to two dentists in the area and gave them the x-rays. Both told me the same thing. The partial should never been made to wrap around that eyetooth, because decay had gotten under that crown and the tooth needed to be pulled! They also said that I had decay under a crown that was so bad that it would need either a root canal or need to be pulled. I had been going to Bright Now for many years. I'm out $1,200.00 for the useless partial, and I will either lose a tooth or have to pay for a root canal and crown because of shoddy dentistry, not to mention extremely rude treatment. The dentist that did the partial left. I can't even confront her. The fact that their dentists can leave when they want makes things all the worse! I'm sorry I ever went there and give them a 0 rating!!

I went to Bright Now Dental in Lakewood as a new Medicare patient. I needed a root canal in a front tooth, which I had done there last November. I began experiencing pain in the root canal almost immediately. A few weeks later I went back to have the tooth checked out, and even with another set of x-rays, the dentist was unable to find a problem. He referred me to an endodontist that no longer took Medicare patients. I called Bright Now to see if they had any other possible referrals, but they said they didn't know any and I would need to find one myself. After a number of phone calls to United Healthcare through AARP, I finally tracked down an endodontist that was taking new Medicare patients.
At the new office, I was told that I would have to see the regular dentist first, and then he would determine if and why I would need to see the endodontist. Fortunately, this new dental office had a complete office, with a dentist, endodontist, and periodontist. After my first visit to the dentist, it was determined that I had a cavity in my other front tooth, which had a root canal performed over 30 years ago. The dentist was able to determine this with sophisticated x-ray equipment, without any real problems beyond that. But, the root canal in the other front tooth that was done at Bright Now also had to be replaced because the root canal was not completed as high up the required in the nerve root. The dentist had to remove both the old and new front teeth caps, then I was sent to the endodontist who had to remove the old and new root canals and perform new ones on both.
Then I had to go back to the dentist to have the work necessary to put in temporary caps. I paid $900.00 to Bright Now Dental for a root canal that had to replaced in less than three months, then an additional $3400 to have new root canals on both front teeth. I attempted to renegotiate with Bright Now Dental to reduce the amount I still owed them for the original new root canal, being willing to only ask for the remaining amount not to be required. I never even heard back from them, even though I sent a very detailed letter explaining why I felt I should not owe them any more than I had already paid. It still upsets me that I paid for a root canal that was completed inadequately, and that the dentist would not even acknowledge this. I would never refer anyone to this company for any reason. The dentist and staff were friendly, that was not the problems. But friendliness does not compensate for inadequate work.

Ranges from $10 to $100. Now getting mail notices that our insurance declined the last claim. The last visit was $110 for a cleaning only... no extras were added. Also every time I go there the entire staff has changed, front desk, dentist and hygienists. There was a time we were getting invoices in the mail that had a $0 amt due. I asked, they quickly indicated that I need to contact corporate accounting. They were unable to give me that contact information. Never contacted them and We stopped receiving them after that. When I told them it was incorrect the girl just give me this attitude, they are unprofessional. I had to go back for the cleaning which was my second visit, which was not so bad, I had silver filling which was fine. Had no problems, the doctor ask if I wanted to replace them with white ones which she said was covered by my insurance, I agreed.
I went back to get the filling. Of course I had to pay about 300.00 dollars out of pocket, the next few weeks I was in so much pain I could not eat. Every time I called the office, they say it's normal it will go away, I could not take the pain anymore, I went back to see the dentist. Whatever she did make it worse, and she recommend I do a root canal.
The pain got worse. I started to get a fever, so I went back and see another doctor in the office which was a bit more sympathetic and told me it is infected and my filling was uneven, she file it down so my bite could be even, and give me prescription for antibiotics and painkillers. I took it for two weeks and it still hurts and give me a fever. I ended up doing the root canal where they charged me additional 217.00 dollars plus they wanted 1200.00 dollars to put a crown over the took with the root canal at another time. I would not go there or recommend anyone to go there. Those people is all about keep taking your money and don't know what they are doing. Went back on the second visit for the cleaning.

I first went to Bright Now 2/8/17, I had finally gotten dental insurance and went to DentaQuest site and pulled up local dentists. I had not been to the dentist in years and I did have a toothache. I had cracked a filling and gotten a cavity under it. The Dentist did an exam and said I needed 8 different fillings. She did 3 that day including the one that was bothering me. A week or 2 later I chipped the tooth that was bothering me, it was a large chip. She was offended when I explained to her that my tooth had chipped, "The filling is fine. It was your tooth that chipped."
On my follow up visit I was in the office for 1.5 hours and saw her for less than 5 min. She gave me a shot of ** and literally put the needle down and picked up the drill and started grinding on my tooth without her assistant and my mouth started filling up with water. Instead of using the tool to suck the water out she said and waited until her assistant got there. I jumped once and she asked what the problem was and I said, "It hurt." That annoyed her?
She said I needed a crown on that tooth now. Also when I was in the office waiting the ladies at the desk were being nasty toward each other with a waiting room full of people. After her attitude and 5 min of seeing her and her only fixing the chipped tooth I went to Facebook and asked friends for suggestions. A friend had similar issues at this same office. They told her that her 10-12 year old daughter needed 7 fillings and she went somewhere else for a second opinion and this dentist said she only required 2! She had told me I needed 8 and I believe she filled 3 and when I went to the new dentist he examined the tooth that she said needed the crown and I did not need a crown and after my exam I did not need any further fillings! I would never suggest this office to anyone.

On April 28, 2017, I was appalled by the treatment I received at the DeSoto Junction location by "Bright Now" dental office at 3611 First St. E. Bradenton, Fl. About 6 months ago, I had a toothache and made an appointment to see the Dentist. He diagnosed my problem as a cap was needed on a front tooth and said it was an emergency and it must be done immediately. He quoted me a price of $1000.00. Today I checked with other dentists and found a cap on a front tooth could be put on for $800.00. The dentist said this could not wait and needed to be done immediately so I had the work done and payment was demanded immediately.
Otherwise, I would have had the work done for $250.00 in Costa Rica. I had pain with this tooth for over 6 months after the dentist did the work. His office said it sometimes takes almost a year before the pain stops. This cap caused the teeth on the other side of my mouth to be out of line and need a minor adjustment, as one of my teeth were hitting a bottom tooth. I went in for an adjustment and the dentist told me I should have the top and bottom bridge replaced for thousands of dollars, and when I informed him I had no money, he refused to treat me for an adjustment that would taken 10 minutes of his time. He refused to do the adjustment without paying $90.00.
The manager told me that since the dentist did not do the work on the problem area, he could not do the work for free. I told them I was on SS and my savings were gone and I could not afford immediately to pay. I told them if an illegal came in, I bet they would treat them free. The manager said not at that office. Then the dental assistant spoke up and said she had been employed for many years and said she was an illegal who just walked across the border and had no problem getting employed at this office. The dentist refused to treat me for my pain and I am still in pain and do not know where to turn to have an adjustment without paying. It is a sad day in America when a senior citizen 81 years old is denied dental work because she cannot pay.

WARNING: Do NOT get any sort of dental work done here beyond a cleaning. I went to Bright Now to get several fillings done, and so much bonding was put on my teeth, I couldn't even FLOSS some of my teeth afterwards. After the procedure, the dentist didn't even bother checking to see if he could fit a piece of floss between the fillings, so it wasn't until I got home that I realized this was an issue. I couldn't even fit floss between one of my molars, and the excess bonding on another filling RIPPED the floss every time I stuck it in between my teeth.
After this kind of a botched job (and let's face it -- if you can't floss your teeth, something isn't right), I was scared to go back to Bright Now, so I went to another dentist. They confirmed that I needed a filling adjustment on two of my teeth, which ended up costing me an additional $150. Bright Now said they would be more than happy to fix this for free, but given that the procedure was not done properly in the first place, I believe I had every right to not want to come back to them for additional work.
The receptionist explained that the procedure was "not done incorrectly" and that this "happens all the time," but I can't say I've ever heard of anyone else having this issue. The dentist should have checked the space between my teeth after the fillings, and perhaps had he not been chatting with his assistant the whole time (I specifically remember them discussing whose death they were more upset about, Michael Jackson or Prince), he would have paid closer attention to the work he was doing.
Upon inspecting my recent fillings from Bright Now, my new dentist shook his head and said, "I don't often ask people this, but where did you get this done?" I am furious with myself for settling for the cheap, convenient care at Bright Now when I should have done my homework and gone to a private dentist elsewhere in the Coachella valley. Please learn from my mistake and DO NOT GO HERE! Perhaps if Bright Now had refunded me for their shoddy dentistry or offered to pay the cost of fixing it at a more reputable establishment, I wouldn't be writing this review, but they maintain that they didn't do anything wrong. Just be aware that these are the kind of people you're dealing with...

They resubmitted the claim without the proper documentation and were denied timely filing. Now they want me to pay the bill.

They said doctor is running late and it would be another 45 minutes. So very inconsiderate to children and parents trying to keep their kids calm and patient to be waiting so long. They could at least let patients know so they're not waiting. No consideration at all.
Then they tell me to come back at 1:15. I then come back at 1:15. There's no one in the office. I'm once again waiting 30 minutes. Finally the doctor says everyone went to lunch. Why would they tell patients to come back if they're not going to be there? Then I'm waiting till 2:00. Then they finally call us in and we're then waiting in another room till 2:30. Finally at 3:00 they started working on my son. This is so inconsiderate and ridiculous. I have a family of 6 and I will never bring them here and I will not be returning to finish my child's dental work here.

This place in my opinion is a joke! Every time we schedule, they call a day or two before the appointment to reschedule. Finally got my son there 10 mins late and because they all wanted to leave early they said I would have to reschedule. This place gives you no privacy as your seen in cubicles not rooms and when you are seen it's not what you're scheduled for! I scheduled a cleaning and sore tooth visit and when I got there they only had time to check the sore tooth, had to reschedule for a cleaning. So I did and guess what they called to reschedule the night before because the dentist wanted to leave early! Called my insurance and switched our entire family to Coast!

My mom was getting dentures and she had a tooth that was partly falling out and they tried to take a mold for her dentures with it hanging out and her in pain, when the dentures came in the did not fit right and she would gag and not wear them. She complained a lot to them and all they could say was "Come in we will fix them." Took 3 times and she still cannot wear them. As for me I had a temporary crown put on and they told me 2 weeks, I called 2 times and 5 weeks later nothing. I had my insurance company call them and they told them, "Oh we have it. I thought I was getting a deal through my teacher's union for orthodontic work at Bright Now. I should have known that I would "get what I paid for". Customer service is horrendous from front office staff, to hygienists, to even the district manager. Wait time is more than 30 minutes at times. I was even told that I would have to come back another day (even though I had scheduled an appointment months in advance) because the doctor couldn't fit me in -- I was already in the waiting room for more than 40 minutes!
I've been cancelled on multiple times. The quality of care is extremely below standards as even my dentist noticed that my bite was still off (right before I was going in to Bright Now to get them removed). Seems like a money making machine. There's one orthodontist who travels, the managers seem uneducated and uncaring, and the service the worst. I've written review after review, contacted the office, talked to a manager; I think I'm going to have to escalate this situation.

My sister had no pain, nor major cavity to have caused this fill and terrible experience. I went to Bright Now Dental as it was in my Insurance. Dr ** not only did not complete the work on the tooth that he was suppose to work on, he also damaged the neighboring tooth. Now after 5 weeks of pain all I hear from Business manager is that "the Dentist will settle this with you. He will call you. He is checking with his insurance agent, etc." The business is not taking responsibility of the damage. I have to do implants as there are no molars left on the left side due to the severe damage caused and the remaining need to be extracted as well as he dug into them when fixing the one he was supposed to.
I will definitely take the business to court but I will also want everyone out there to be beware of such businesses that just want to rip you off by hiring unprofessional dentists who just don't know what they are doing. Screaming at their assistants and ripping off your lips and neighboring tooth. If you love your teeth, avoid this place. I will strongly suggest all to avoid this place and go elsewhere.

A while ago I took a bite of a cheetoh & that crown they put on less than 2 years ago just fell off. I do not recommend anyone to go there and get your teeth messed up by them! Now I'm gonna have to pay for the same tooth twice. How is that even fair? I am so disappointed for going there in the first place. I will never go back to them! My son has been going to Bright Now since 2011, but has had his braces since 2013. First problem, the first clinic before we moved started taking payments before he even got braces. So, when I went to the Puyallup location from the Tacoma location, they were confused as to why I was paying prior to his braces almost a year in. They had to do an audit to get the correct remaining balance. Puyallup - I loved that location. Convenient times around work schedules and very polite and courteous.
We had to move and transferred the location to Federal Way... I have never been so annoyed than I have been for the last year and a half. I have two children, both with different last names, but they kept forgetting my appointment. When I finally did go, they said I had cavities and required $600 worth of work. I just had a cleaning. That was last year.
I took my daughter for a checkup in June, but received a check in the mail. I called and immediately took it to their office. All I heard was they didn't know why my insurance company would send me the check. They photocopied it and kept the check for 3 days saying that they would provide it to their account mgr. They called and handed the check back, which was confusing. They said that they would contact the insurance company, but I should wait. I asked them "should I just endorse it," but they declined.
In Dec of last year, my daughter's check up had came along. It wasn't until I walked in that the account manager said they couldn't see her because there was an unpaid balance. I was angry at this point and told her that they gave me the check back! I put it into my account so the check wouldn't void. She was supposed to call me back, but didn't. So I forgot. I was further angry that it took 5 months and no one followed up with me. We resolved that issue and I paid the next month (and my daughter was seen).
Now is the most aggravating part. This was also partially my insurance company's fault. I received a bill in March 2016 for my treatment in June 2015, another unpaid balance for my daughter's care in Dec 2015. Turns out the clinic is in my network, the orthodontist is in my network, but the dentist is not. I had asked several times for an in network dentist. Now, I have unpaid balances I didn't know about (I had to ask about my son and there was a balance too). Since my move, my insurance company only partially updated my address and the checks went to the wrong address.
I called SB Financial to explain the situation, but they have been harassing me ever since. One check came and they placed it to the wrong account. Second check came last Sat, still wrong account. The collection manager told me it was my responsibility to keep calling my insurance even though they were more than willing to speak to them. So I got them BOTH on the line. There is so many discrepancies, it doesn't make sense. For example, if I receive a bill for $172 and the insurance company pays out $219, what is the other money for? I never paid a co-pay. 2nd - $125 bill, insurance company pays out $178?
When this was asked while both parties were on the phone, the only excuse was that was a projected amount billed to me??? The statement NEVER CHANGED!!! Plus, my son has two insurances by myself and his father. They didn't use the birthday rule. My son was on his father's primary for ortho and I secondary. But for dental, I'm primary, and his insurance is secondary? No answer other than "DeltaCare is a discount plan only...." What??? That is further from the truth.
So instead of the $193, the full 244 is due which the insurance company originally sent. And the remaining $63 that they didn't take for my daughter is due. I can't wait to get this LAST check from my insurance company and be done. I'm taking my family to the dentist I recently saw (and I didn't have a cavity!). As far as my son's ortho, he is almost done! YAY! But I never want a part of this organization again when my son is done. Whew! Thank you for indulging my rant.

My Bright Now Dental experience reminded me of an assembly line process. I had all my teeth pulled and replaced with false teeth. I should have researched the reviews. I told the dentist that I wanted my eighteen or so teeth pulled and replaced with false teeth. The dentist statement was "I have no problem with that." There was no recommended alternate solutions advised. During the fitting process I was never given the same person two times in a row. I would tell them where it hurt and they would grind away.
I finally had to have a soft lining put in a 3-month old bottom plate. When that did not work, they recommended a new plate be made. I agreed and when scheduling my next appointment was informed I would have to pay for the new plate. I received my new plate, paid for it and never looked back. I have had better more personal experience getting my car worked on. If other Bright Now offices work in the same manner, I recommend you spend your money much more wisely than I did.

I've been going to the same dentist for 22 years now. I recently got new insurance though so had to switch. I made an appointment on my day off to have a cleaning with Bright Now Dental. After an hour of X-rays and an "exam," the hygienist gave me my "treatment plan" that included extra procedures. My insurance pays 100% of routine cleanings, which is all I wanted. However, they tried to tell me that I needed a deeper cleaning so to say than is usually done and which insurance covers.
They quoted me at $300 for the additional work they wanted to do. I told them I wasn't interested in the additional work and just wanted a routine cleaning- whatever my insurance pays for them to do. Just scrape the plaque off my teeth, for goodness sake! They wouldn't do it, explaining that it would be "below their standard" of care.
Another important thing to mention is that I had seen another well-established dentist for 22 years. That's a lot of cleanings! They never once told me I needed anything more than a usual cleaning. They also tried to sell me on Invisalign and told me that the front tooth, where I have some bonding from chipping it, needed to be redone. For what!? It's been perfectly fine for years and there is nothing wrong with it. It's not chipped, loose or anything. Long story short- in my opinion, Bright Now Dental is one of those places that tries to sell you on everything. My advice, find a real and honest dentist.

This last time I went in for a cleaning at 1 and left at 3! Two hours for a cleaning?! Everyone seems so confused about everything which makes no sense since all my info is in my file. The financial person actually gave me an estimate on work I had already done a year prior! The dental assistant did an awful job with my polishing by messing up my gums in the process. It was like she used the high speed meant for dental procedures.
I noticed how dirty the room was and believe that I caught a virus from that office. I have been sick since the day after I had my appointment and no one around me is sick so I can only assume that I got it from there. No one apologized that I had to wait a total of 2 hours for a cleaning. The actual dentist I have no real concerns with except that she is too busy. I had ask her on two occasions to give me an estimate on some cosmetic work and finally after two more visits got it. I think that this office needs a huge make over in all aspects. Guess what - 0 return calls back after leaving 7 messages and then when I call them the last time to tell them I am switching dentists since I cannot get a return call or coverage confirmed - they tell me they were just about to call me - really?
I was told by them I had insurance coverage and even paid what my insurance did not cover out of pocket. I thought this was a done deal but then I get a call 4+ months later about owing $584 additional. Now I find out that the insurance company denied it because they said it was "not necessary and appropriate" and went on to say the dentist "has not demonstrated periodontal disease" when the dentist told me I need to get this done and even supposedly confirmed coverage. Bottom line - you can do much better. Take your business to an honest company that does not overpromise and underdeliver.

I'm out 1400 dollars). I came back 2 weeks later. I had an appt for 10 am. I had to wait over an hour to see the oral surgeon for a 5 minute consultation which included "where's the pain?", "how bad is the pain?" and "oh we will make an appt for you to get this surgery done." Are you kidding me!?? So finally he says he has time to do the surgery but because of my anxiety he forced me to have full sedation (that I did not want. I wanted laughing gas not some pills). He refused to work with me unless I had full sedation. They gave me a script to go across the street to Publix to get it filled. So I had to leave the office and go buy pills for this operation waiting another hour.
Finally it's time for the surgery. They didn't tell me anything prior to this. Nothing on what was going to be done. Just that "we're pulling 6 teeth." Afterwards they gave me after care instructions on a sheet and directed me to go pay. I had to ask for strong painkillers. The woman said all I needed was **. Are you serious!? They finally gave me something after putting up a fight. I told them ** does not work. They didn't listen and prescribed it anyway. I threw a stink and they gave me **.

Why can't they prescribe me something for this pain? I don't understand. She said I had to wait. I asked "will I have to pay anything?" "Yes. You pay the consultation fee." "Wait. I have to pay more money to have you look at my mouth for a mistake you made!? Even after doing everything correctly?"

My wife and I have been with Bright Dental for about 2 to 3 years. We are senior citizens on Social Security and recently dropped our dental insurance as the coverage was not very good compared to the cost of the insurance. So when we did our last visit, we paid for the work ourselves. I called in advance to get the cost of the procedures, which was just a cleaning and a check-up. I was given two different numbers depending on the type of the cleaning and check up. After the work was done we were charged more than what the highest cost procedures would be times two. Now I have a bill from them wanting even more money. It got me to looking back at our previous bills and remembering some of the billing problems in the past and the bottom line is we always received more bills for more charges even after paying the difference between the insurance and the cost of the procedures.
When our dentist closed up in the area he recommended Bright Dental, but I believe he had no idea of what the company is really like. Most likely the company can legally charge whatever they want and since you do not get the costs in writing before the procedures they are not accountable for additional charges down the road. I am sure they are going to give me a runaround on why they charge more later, but I am sure also that it is a bunch of words designed to keep others from finding out what is really going on. I would ask ALL of their patients to go back and look at their bills and how the company does business and decide if they want to keep them as their dentist. My wife and I will not be going back to them.
If you want to stay with them, read the reviews online to be prepared for what may happen and also, see how far you get when asking them for a price list of their charges for various procedures. Or try to get them to give you a written cost up front for what you are going to have done. And I bet that when they charge you more they will give you a runaround on why that will sound very good but it really is not. The reason is that most honest business I deal with, if they can't give you a fixed price, they will give you a min-max estimate. And while it would be very hard on giving an even close estimate on building a home to the customer specifications, cleanings, check-ups, and most dental procedures should be not problem.

Dr. ** ordered one transplant for the left/bottom of my mouth. I was to go back in four months to have the mold made and get the teeth made. I went in to see Dr. ** in May: She didn't have the tool to take the cap off the implant. She said she would "find" one and get back with me. Two weeks later I hadn't heard, so I called numerous times to no avail. Finally, I heard the office had been closed and would open in June. I called again, still closed. It is now my understanding that the office finally opened about Aug. 1. So I went three extra months chewing on the right side because my implant was not finished. I never received a letter or phone call that the Highlands Ranch office was closed; nor was I told what to do to finish up the transplant. In July, it was suggested that I could go to another office, which I did.
In the meantime, the right side of my mouth was having heavy use because I couldn't chew on the left. I began to notice the teeth on the bridge were leaking because the area between the teeth and the acrylic form was darkening. Sure enough the first tooth on the front fell out! There are now two other teeth that look the same and I fear will be falling out at any time. Dr. ** did tell me Bright Now Dental would remake me the bridge at no cost. The problem is, will it last? Seeing Dr. **: He also noticed the space between my lower gums and the teeth right above is not large enough to support teeth in both places. Nothing has changed; my gums haven't grown! ** should have known the bridge would wear badly due to the teeth being so close.
Then another dentist from Bright Now: Put in the partial on the left/upper side of my mouth. At the time, he said I would love the new product he was using to make the partial. My natural bottom front teeth began to wear down. Dr. ** told me the product used for the partial was known to wear down natural teeth!! He should never had made the partial out of that product knowing that my bottom teeth were natural teeth!! Then the implant: I wondered from the beginning how one implant placed at the end would be safe and secure enough. I voiced that concern and was assured it would! When I saw Dr. ** she said she didn't know why they had done just one. She checked with Dr. ** and he told her that was the way Dr. ** had ordered it. Then she began to backtrack saying it would be okay!! However, she continued studying another way to use just one implant and suggested also running the bridge to the other side of my mouth!
At this time, my feeling is that the dentists at Bright Now have ruined my mouth!! I now have 13 teeth! Nowhere to chew, I have terrible discomfort, and have continually suffered the humiliation of having either gaps in my mouth, teeth falling out at inopportune times, or no teeth at all! The bridge on the right/upper is broken due to over wear. The implant is definitely in question. And, the teeth on the right/upper are made of a material that can and already have worn down my few natural teeth on the bottom. There is intense discomfort on the natural teeth at this time... The service that I paid for along with my dental insurance was beyond poor. The front office staff was great but that's about it. Waiting time was beyond non-compliance. Hours and hours waiting only to be contacted by my insurance to inform me the work I had done needs to be redone on both sides. My money will be refunded. That to me is not enough. This review asks that I be fair, well I can't put into words how awful it was and my time is just as valuable as the dentist. Not only do I have to go through the whole process over again.
Removing the bridge they put in which in itself is not a easy process and the crown on the other side was damaged by the dentist when putting in my mouth. Not to mention I have to see a specialist due to the work Bright Now DID. Thank god the insurance company caught the mistakes, but I had made several calls explaining my mouth was not ok something was wrong. So as far as being fair in this review This is more than fair. Will post the outcome.

Every time I have a dental visit, it takes me at least an hour to get seen by my dentist. Forty minutes to be admitted, a quick hello or x-ray by the technician and another 30 min of waiting. Yesterday June 4, my 4:00 appt lasted until 6 and since it was already 5 pm the dentist spent the rest of the time tracing back the history of my missing crown. No procedures done. Since the procedure wasn't done yesterday, they rescheduled for today. Been here 30 minutes past my appointment. Still waiting.

I could not come in early due to work. Although I had to leave work 3 hrs early for my appointment at 3:30 which was fine. What was not fine is that they called me at 2:40 and said the Doctor had to leave early for an emergency. Sounds to me like people wanted to go home early and did not care that I had to take time off of work for my appointment. What an unprofessional Dental office you have.

On 10/2/2014, I went to Newport Dental (now BrightNow! Dental) in Fullerton, California for a dental service and agreed to pay CASH $2,072 with my credit card because Ms. ** (office manager) told me the service is not covered by my dental insurance after she checked the service with my insurance on the internet/computer. However, she said she would try to bill it to my insurance and if insurance pay whatever amount, Newport Dental will reimburse me back. On my insurance statement dated 10/30/2014, it paid the office $588.
So we came back to the office 3 times and sent 3 certified letters to demand the reimbursement. No responses from the office led me to file Small Claim court against them on 4/7/15. And I lost at that date because at Small Claim court they provided a letter that my CA BlueShield dental insurance reversed the payment of $588 and my insurance statement dated 02/21/2015 also showed that. However, the dental office continued to send bills to me to demand to pay them $588 on top of $2,072 which I already paid CASH of $2,072 and they can't double charge with CASH and insurance on the same service date 10/2/14. They mentioned that because I lost in Small Claim court, now I have to pay them $588 back.
I would NOT go to Small Claim court if they would not tell me to reimburse back if insurance paid them. Because they said they will reimburse the difference IF the insurance paid them (I have my fiance as witness). This is definitely a "Bait and Switch" illegal practice to trick customer like me and possible other victims that to agree to pay CASH payment for the dental service and then at the same time to bill insurance for a max. amount available so they can get more from patients like me or other patients may have similar issues with them. Please investigate this kind of potential illegal practices from Newport Dental and/or BrightNow! Dental.

READ BEFORE MAKING YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT: Bright Now Dental advertised a special on crowns. When I got to their office I asked for one crown, they said I needed two. I told them it was too expensive and that I would do it later. They then told me they had an even better price for two. They handed me a piece of paper with the price as I was laying in the dental chair. Apparently, the fine print quoted a different price that I couldn't see in my position in the chair. I trusted them and then received another bill in the mail for another nearly $500. The problem of course is if you don't pay a bill they can slap it on your credit so you are forced to pay. It is a complete scam. They are a company that is not to be trusted. It also took them three tries to get the correct crown. They claimed the first was broken in the mail and I don't recall what happened to the second but it took three tries to get it right.

I regret so much to have started a contract for orthodontic service for my 12 yr. old son. In 2012 I signed the contract for automatic monthly payments for 30 months. Right away after a couple of months of service I started getting Late Payment letters! Why am I getting late payment notices if they are getting the payments from my bank account?! I went to the office. The office staff say they can't do anything. I have to call the corporate office. I call and they say to call back to the office. The manager in the Venice office doesn't know what to do. This problem has been going on for almost 2 years! My son has been seen by his ortho. doctor with no problems. The contract is almost over next month.
We were moved to another office in Pico Blvd. in LA in January. And the late payment letters started coming up again. I call the corporate office. They don't solve my problem. I go to the office and the staff there is even worst. They are so disorganized, can't give me an answer to my problem and just tell me to call the corporate office. I am so sick and tired of this situation!
I have all my records from the bank statements. Because they are very punctual to deduct the $118 dls. every 21st of every month!!! And they still send me past due payments and collection letters?!?! I wish I could see a lawyer to see if they finally do something about this. Besides the bad service with payments and corporate office. There is the 2 hours wait every time we go see the orthodontist. Why do they give appointments if they'll make you wait for 2 hrs. in the waiting room?! I DO NOT RECOMMEND BRIGHT NOW DENTAL. And after reading all the bad reviews in this website, I think they should be shut down. Is the worst!!!

I took my 8-year-old daughter to this dentist, Dr. **, to have two teeth extracted. In the process he broke one of her lower front adult teeth. I didn't know about it until we were walking out of the office, when my daughter said "I am mad at that dentist. He broke my front tooth!" I bent down to look and sure enough, the tooth was broken. I called the office immediately when I got home and was told the dentist would call me back, but he never did.
I brought her in a week later when my son had an appointment, and I showed the dentist the broken tooth. He denied the whole thing, refused to address her issue at all, and then refused to complete my son's treatment, two fillings. This so-called dentist should have his license revoked. Beyond that, the rest of the office is a disorganized mess. Every one of our visits took over two hours. Five years ago, I went to this place, 'cause I was on pain. Got a loose infected crown. Ended paying more than $1000.00, the crown was replaced but since then I've been with headaches, and ear infection. But this is what happened. The assistant cement the crown, and I still had the infection all this time I've been on crucial pain. OK, the crown was cemented when they didn't supposed to, it had to be temporary but that's how negligent they are.
Well doctor told me, "If it gets loose come back, and we will fix it," and it did happened last month, so I went back, they did x-rays and doctor came up with diagnosis, that the tooth where I have the crown has an infection and is loose, I said, "That's why I been on pain, because it was infected when the crown was cemented." "My mistake." I said, "Please check what other work I need," and they came up with a bill of $12,500 on insurance and my portion almost $4000, not going back and seeking for a second opinion. My surprise was that I wasn't told at the beginning on 2010 that it was a bridge, not a crown.

Of course, had to get xrays, etc. Then had to make second appt. for cleaning. Was told I had gum disease and needed my teeth cleaned 4x a year. Also was told I needed a new cap for my old root canal at a costs of $1,000. Agreed, made appt. Then one week later called to change my mind. Had a trip planned and didn't want any pain. They said... "there will be no pain. We are good at what we do. If you cancel, you won't be able to get back in for months." So I went in.
Before I left there, my cap came off twice. They even gave me glue to fix it if it came out during my trip. The temp. cap was so poorly made and applied, that it cut my mouth and tongue really bad. I called a day before trip, got in, they made adjustments, gave me penicillin to take just in case, and sent me out. For the 3 days of my trip, I was miserable and so mad. My mouth was so cut up from rough ridges on the temp. cap. The lady that fitted the cap was named **. I believe she travels from one office to another. She hasn't a clue what she is doing.
After trip, got an appt, went in and they made adjustments again and promised the cap would not come out this time that they used a special mix of cement. Well, guess what. Yep, 3 days later it's out. I was scheduled to go in and have my permanent cap put in but came down with a bad cold/flu, etc. It kicked my butt. I called the day before appt. and cancelled. ** answered the phone and was very short with me. Told me if I missed the appt. it would one month before I could come in. I told her, you don't want me in there with what I have... I was so sick. She said I should come in because she couldn't schedule me until way later. I was shocked. I asked if I could be on a on-call list and she said they didn't have one. I said "is Dr. ** there, I need to talk to her." She said, "I will put you on a call list." That is how it is now standing. The Westminster Bright Now canceled my appointment and claimed they did not contact me because they did not have number. Why make me fill out paperwork with my all my personal information and not update the information or double check with me to make sure everything is up-to-date? I only found out after I drove to the office and they told me they had to cancel because the doctor was not available to make the appointment. Doctors at this location have been late and horrible. My wisdom teeth surgeon stuffed mesh in my wisdom teeth sockets and infected them. I never bawled my eyes out so hard; I wanted to punch the surgeon in the face. He also works in Boulder, so watch out people. He said it was something new he was trying and he had usually used silicon things to help close up the wounds.
I definitely feel that the doctor I had was unsure and ill equipped. Anyhow, I assumed the office had all of my updated information including address, phone number and insurance, but I was completely wrong. Recently I received calls without much information regarding a bill that was from 10 months ago. Right now, I owe close to $200 and they said they did not have my address on file; therefore, did not mail me correspondence or proof of my bill. What in the world is the office doing? Mind you, I have been in for a treatment at one of these dental offices since November 2014 and absolutely nothing was brought up regarding outstanding balances, missing addresses, them not being able to contact my insurance, or me not being covered under any dental insurance.
Now, all because of a little 1-800 telephone number at the bottom of my bill, I have found out that my insurance has been incorrect since last year! Now, the main office tells me to contact the satellite offices to correct my information and update the information. Why aren't all offices standardized with procedures and policies including patients' information and why doesn't think company have one system for all patients? Why doesn't the front desk double check the patients' address, phone number, and insurance above all else!? This organization is just milking the clients and not delivering excellent service. Please live and learn from these errors and create better systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.

This is the absolute worst dental office I have ever seen. Rude office staff. My first appointment was for a simple cleaning. (I have my teeth cleaned faithfully every 6 months and have never required a deep cleaning.)
Reluctantly (and stupidly) I agreed to the cleaning, made the appointment and came back for the cleaning, and was told by the girl who checked me in that the hygienist would more than likely tell me that I needed all 4 quadrants deep cleaned. Which is exactly what happened. I then asked to see the dentist, and was told I could not see him until after the cleaning. I then asked if I could refuse the deep cleaning and just have what I came for, a simple cleaning, and was told no, I did not have a choice. Against my instincts and better judgment I let them perform this unnecessary procedure.
The hygienist talked to others in the office the whole time she was cleaning my teeth. Also, I could not tell any difference in the deep clean vs. a regular cleaning, except for the price which was over $1,000! I would never go back to them. Total scam. The drug company is so deeply ingrained in this practice, even the hygienists are robots. Every patient needs this extensive and quite unnecessary cleaning... WITH the antibiotic treatment. Well, at least 85% according to the hygienists/salesperson. It reminded me of dealerships insisting that you purchase the "clear-coat" to save your paint-job. After 95 minutes that encompassed a cursory exam by a dentist who I'm sure was finely educated and a perfectly fine practitioner, but struggled with English to the extent that the intern "just out of trade school" was unable to understand what findings were being reported, and a "probing" that further substantiated the need for this special cleaning.
I feel bad for my insurance provider for having to pay these crooks for all of this unnecessary BS. Save your money and time. Go find a dentist with an established practice that will treat you like a person and probably clean your teeth without getting it financed.

Where do I begin? I lived in Florida & went to the Bright Now Dental in Brandon FL. Shortly after going, they told me I had periodontal disease & needed to have my teeth cleaned every 3 months & needed other treatments. Of course I was freaked out & said do what is necessary. All they did was clean my teeth. Then they charged the insurance company for scaling which the insurance company refused to pay. When I called the insurance company, they explained to me what scaling was. I told them the only thing Bright Now had done was clean my teeth. Bright Now said they did do a scaling & I had to pay them. Every time I went, they told me what my co-pay was & every time I went, I had to pay 50 to a 100 more than what was quoted. They told me they had no way of knowing what the insurance company would pay, they were only guessing.
The insurance company story was different. It is really hard to switch dentist in Florida. I knew I was moving so I stayed with Bright Now. I moved to N.C. & went to a dentist there. They told me I didn't have periodontal disease & I also didn't have any of the issues that Bright Now said I did. They told me I needed crowns & other issues (over $1000). Then I had to switch dentist to one in Georgia. He told me actually the same thing. Don't trust anything they tell you!!!!!

I went and got a second opinion by two other dentists. I had x-rays with me for proof. They stated that I did not need 3/4 of what they quoted me and told me that I needed done. Two dentist agreed with each other so they almost got me for $500-$700. Almost!
The call center was extremely rude and misinformed and none of them were on the same page. They called me a liar when they were the ones giving out the wrong information. They would not honor what was quoted to me by two different people. They were extremely rude and lacked compassion. Lastly the office manager was the most facetious condescending person I have ever faced in this type of environment and setting in my life. So no, I would not recommend this place to anyone at all. I was asked to sign a contract waiving my right to complain if there were problems (DO NOT SIGN IT). They wanted me to sign for additional x-rays even though mine were current (I did not). They wanted me to waive my right to approve procedures before they perform them (Umm, no). Once I was past the nice front office, the experience changed alarmingly and I felt like I was being herded in to cattle stalls with dental chairs.
They took my gum measurements and told me I had the second to worst periodontitis on their charts. They told me I needed to pay a $1600 bill for a treatment plan that had to begin immediately. They used scare tactics to say that I was in danger of a heart attack if I left without doing the treatment plan. They told me that we were "On the clock" and I didn't have time to think about it or call my wife. They also refused to do my cleaning which was the whole point of me being there!
Because I felt so strongly they were trying to cheat me, I left and decided to later pay out-of-pocket to get a second opinion from a reputable dentist. So Jan. 9th I made an appt. to go in to the dentist for two back molar teeth that had been giving me problems. The dentist said I needed 2 root canals and they could do it the same day. They brought me a bill - $3200 for 2 root canals and 2 crowns. After my mini heart attack (ha ha) I told them to go ahead because it needed to be done either way. When he went to numb me I had an intense pain that spread out like a lightning bolt and then slowly numbed away.
After he finished he said I needed to come back to finish up and that would be another hour and a half procedure. (WTH) I am not done! He handed me a prescription for Tylenol 3 and said I probably wouldn't need it. After the numbness had worn off I was in very intense pain! Made it through until Monday (barely...and begging friends for any extra pain pills) and called them first thing. I HURT! SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT AND I AM READY TO RIP ALL MY TEETH OUT OF MY HEAD! They told me to come in and they would look.
Well the dentist said the temp. crown just needed to be ground down a little and then I would be fine. I went home. I WASN'T FINE! Every hour that went by seemed to get worse. Called the dentist back Tuesday. I HURT! SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT AND I AM READY TO RIP ALL MY TEETH OUT OF MY HEAD! They had me come back in. They said, "Come in at 3 and we will just finish the root canal." Ok, I'll be there! Went in at 3. The dentist then said, "We don't have time to finish the root canal. I will take off the temp. and see what is bothering you." Well when he went to numb me I felt a pain like no other before. I immediately burst out in tears and made funny noises to get him out of my mouth! The SHARP pain went up to my eyes, into my mouth and down my neck. I told him how extreme that was. Then I started to feel tingling down my neck with the sharp pains.
I told him, "I am not a la la for pain but that hurt," with tears rolling down my cheeks. He kinda smiled and said he would be back and to let that numb. Well my whole entire half of my face went numb, wwwaaayyy numb. He went in and put some files in my roots. One of them was soooo painful!!! He cleaned it out while I still felt all the pain of this one root. He ended it saying there was tissue left behind and this is where your pain was coming from. I told him "PLEASE GIVE ME SOMETHING GOOD TO TAKE CARE OF THE PAIN JUST UNTIL TOMORROW IN CASE THIS DIDN'T WORK. THE AMOUNT OF PAIN I HAVE BEEN IN SINCE FRIDAY IS UNBEARABLE AND I HAVEN'T SLEPT." He said I would be fine and he fixed the problem.
Well needless to say everything was beyond worse! I called them at 2:00 in the morning and left a message (while crying uncontrollably) that he should of gave me something and now I am in pain from hell. Ended up going to the ER. Well, when he gave me the shots to numb my mouth he hit the nerve - the nerve that goes to your eyes, mouth, and neck. She said this is the worst pain a person can feel. This nerve is a horrible one to hit. Now I have a pinched nerve. Well the dentist office didn't call me back until 3:30 on Thursday!! They left a message, seeing how I was knocked out from all the pain meds. I am now still on an ungodly amount of 2 pain medications to take care of the pain. My doctor said it could take weeks, months and in some rare cases, the pain may never go away...
Now the pills have me on a weird schedule. I am either zonked and there is no waking me up or I am awake all night like tonight. If I don't take the pills right on time I am crying until the pain goes away. I am furious! I am frustrated! I am scared! This all has been a nightmare! Met with office manager. He wanted me to see another dentist there. I told him I don't want to come back there. He kept pushing that. I said I am not doing anything to my teeth until this pain goes away. I asked for a refund under the circumstances and he said he would take off the price of the crowns.
I told him that they only did half of the root canal and I still have another hour and a half left of that so if anything they can only charge half. He said they don't do that. He kept full charge of the root canal and full charge for the core build up but even that fell off the next day after seeing the dentist. So right now I have nothing on those two molars. He took a total of $1800 off the bill, $900 per crown. He also told me they don't have options for different crowns which is why they didn't offer but somehow my neighbor saw the same dentist and her crown was only $300 for the same tooth as one of mine. Hmmm...this was done by Dr. **. All I have been given is pre-treatment estimate. No bill.

I asked the doctor what was the problem. he said "nothing was wrong, you're just sore."
A week has gone by and I'm still in pain. I don't really know what to do because I already been going to this dentist and I'm already billed for $1700. Upon going there I've been noticing more more things that are popping up in my head. 1, I got three different bills for three different pricing. The whole time that I had been there the girl told me it was for work on my left side so when I show up to the dentist he starts working on my right side. So when they realized and I told him that was the wrong side they stop doing the work and rang me up another bill for another estimate that was way more higher. I really feel like I have no choice. The work was already getting done and I'm already in pain.
2, I don't like the fact that the dentist travels to one patient or another taking about 20 minutes for him to come back and the anesthesia going down and me feeling the pain again. 3, I'm not sure if you change his gloves. 4, I don't like being peer pressured into getting all my teeth clean when I don't feel I need to have them done by the lady that does a teeth cleaning and kind of rudely telling me that if I don't get it done "you're going to have gum disease real quick." (I kept my cool).
It's Saturday morning and I'm still in pain. They had originally told me they were closed this weekend but as it turns out they're open I don't know if they lied to me or they just don't want to attend to me. 5, the dentist is ok to a certain extent you can feel the vibe. 6, it's all about the money..7, the only reason I'm coming here it's coz it's two blocks away from my house, more convenient but now I'm not sure about this. Maybe I should have traveled the usual seven miles that I used to go to travel to my original dentist. I'm going to go in a bit and I will post again just so everyone has their heads up. It's a nice building in Spanish from inside but the work and the dentist is another story. And only been coming here for 2 weeks and am **.
