I went through the Police and Fire Credit Union for Philadelphia. There was a discount and that's why I chose GreenPath. We had tweaked things out and the enrollment was a smooth process. It was a five-year program and it worked fine. I did the automatic payment every month. The way they negotiated, some of the charges even dropped more because it was getting paid off. I was getting money back. I didn't expect that. That's the big thing. GreenPath poured money back to me.

I was paying almost $1,000 in minimum payments to my credit card debtors each month and it started becoming impossible. I never thought I would see my way out by just paying the minimum payments. My sister-in-law told us about the program with Clarifi. When I talked with them, the payments were cut in half and it was a five-year period. So it definitely made me feel a lot better. Then Clarifi merged with GreenPath. But once they introduced themselves and sent out how to log in, the process was easy. Everything that I established with Clarifi was merged on over. They were very helpful, friendly and accommodating during the times that I had to reach out. I felt really comfortable going through the program. They did everything good. There was nothing else better that they could have done.

The last transaction that I had with GreenPath went smoothly. I have finished paying off one card too, and I was able to roll over another card. Then there was overpayment, so they sent me the $10. They were very professional and very well-spoken. They were amazing and I had excellent communication with whoever picked up the phone. But to improve their process, they could reach out every couple of months or couple of weeks, just to see how everything's going. They could ask if we wanted to change the amount or if there was any new program or option that they would ant to share the information with. That would’ve been good because it was pretty quiet most of the time.

When I started with the program, there was some confusion was relating to interest rates that might be gotten because I had balances on a number of credit cards. But also, for example, with three American Express cards, which two am I giving up. But once that was cleared up, which didn't take long, the experience was just fine. They still worked for some time with the staff in Philadelphia, who were always very responsive when I called. And once COVID hit and the calls are being taken out in the Upper Midwest, there was still good responsiveness in communication.
I dealt with two individuals in particular in the Philadelphia group and things were going so well that I really didn't have much occasion to check in for over a year. Then the COVID hit and after that, it seemed to be whoever got the call. But everyone was very knowledgeable and punctual. I don't know if that would've been true if I had missed payments but we had established a baseline that I could meet and there was never any problem with my payments. So it all went very smoothly. Some folks met their obligations to me, which enabled me to pay off the whole debt a month or so ago.
I have talked to groups that promise low interest rates and to two individuals who independently have negotiated to get some of the debt eliminated. But that was not my aim. We were at 12% when we negotiated the payments. I wasn't asking for any reduction in the principal. I was just wanting to schedule out the monthly payments at a rate that I was comfortable with and I had hoped that we would be able to negotiate a little lower interest rate.

I am glad to hear it all worked out to your satisfaction. As you mentioned, GreenPath does not attempt to reduce the principal balance. We help clients pay the debt in full and contact creditors for concessions such as lower interest rates.

I had a lot of credit card debt. I'm part of a union so my paychecks were direct deposited into that account. I went into my credit union and asked them if they had any program, because I didn't want to use the ones that are on commercials. I called GreenPath and I spoke to a woman. She was very friendly and not pushy. She asked me about my income, and told me how much it would take to pay all of my bills. I was very comfortable talking to her and felt that I made the right decision. A couple of times that I was able to save up a little extra money and pay off a bill ahead of time, they helped me manage that and then manage paying more, putting more money towards the other debts. And then, anytime I wanted to talk to them about something, it was very easy to get ahold of them. And they were just always helpful.

I needed to get rid of a lot of debt. I needed a plan. I'm a busy person, and I needed help. I called GreenPath and I talked to some guy who I remembered being awesome. We talked for like an hour and a half. He got it done. I was impressed with the execution. It was like, “Okay, what do you have? Let's knock out this budget, let's knock down these papers.” He made it doable for me at that time, and I just jumped in. There were times when I was like, “Okay, I'm paying this service a lot of money for something I could totally, really do by myself.” But it was 100% worth the value because I never had to think about it. Money just came out. Now, I'm done with all that debt.” It was a really great experience.
It wasn't on their end, but I felt bad that I couldn't utilize more of the updates and the budgeting help, and that kind of training that their offer that I probably could really benefit from in my life. I was just so busy. They sent the emails and created the curriculum. I just wish I could have taken advantage of it more. If I ever hear of anybody like this, I'll absolutely send them to GreenPath.

GreenPath was recommended to me by my credit union. They're helping me eliminate some debt. Everybody was great. They helped me out tremendously. They explained everything perfectly, and it went exactly how they explained it. I recommend the company to anybody I know who's struggling with any kind of financial difficulties with excessive credit cards. I was able to complete the program ahead of time and it was awesome. The one that was taking me to court recommended me to GreenPath. They helped me out and it worked out for me. They understood what I was going through and helped me set everything up and set up a plan. We came to an agreement how much I would pay, and that worked out well on my end. They just take out a certain amount every week, and I don't have to worry about it. They took care of it. And then, every time I would speak to them, they seemed to have a solution. Working with them has made things a bit easier. I'm not stressing about the bill collectors calling me, so I have a peace of mind.

Joining Greenpath helped me to feel some relief when I realized I could not keep up with my credit card payments. The tone of the whole service is very positive, which helped me endure in paying off debt, stay hopeful during the process, and remember that I could eventually be debt-free. Terrible experience with Capital One and Green Path. They’re both crooked. They’re both coldhearted and scams that work together. Won’t lower anything. But will take your money and tell you they will lower your bill. Even If you were diagnosed with cancer. They don’t have hardship so they send you to green path. They will convince you they can help but when you get your bill it’s exactly the same. The interest rate is exactly the same. But you will have paid green path. No help scam companies. I hope they get the justice they deserve and the consequences they deserve.

You contacted us on July 14, 2020 looking for a hardship for your Capital One account. We received a signed Debt Management Program (DMP) agreement from you and through the (DMP) Capital One lowered your annual percentage rate to 1.9%. From reading your review and the notes from when you called us on August 10, 2020, we understand it was upsetting that your Capital One bill did not show the new payment DMP payment of $36 on the August bill statement. On August 10, 2020 the GreenPath employee conference called Capital One with you. The Capital One employee stated they generated your August bill on August 2, 2020 and you were enrolled in the DMP on August 6, 2020. Therefore, the August payment due had not updated to the DMP terms. This means, the difference of the two payments is still due.
Our DMP agreement states that in order to stay current, clients should pay the difference between the regular monthly payment and the new DMP payment until the creditor updates the terms on the statement. The agreement indicates:
“What you'll need to know... Until your creditor accepts our proposal, it is suggested that you pay the difference between your minimum payment and the proposed program payment. This is usually suggested if your accounts are current or if you would prefer not to fall further behind.”
We understand it can be upsetting there is a difference due. We hope that comparing when they generated your bill statement in relationship to when they accepted the proposal, that helps to illustrate why your August payment due is higher than the DMP payment. Please note, it can take creditors 1-3 months to fully enroll the DMP terms once a proposal is accepted. We are confident you have a good program with an amazing interest rate. Should you want to discuss in more detail, please contact us.

This program helped me to eliminate nearly $30,000 in high interest credit card debt. I was able to do it in under five years and without declaring bankruptcy. I now am debt free except for a mortgage which I'm paying extra on each month. My credit score is almost 800. I'm starting to build an emergency fund and I'm saving for retirement. It feels good to finally be free.

I had a few things I wanted to consolidate and pay off and GreenPath was there when I first started. One of my clients I work with mentioned it, and then I went and inquired about it. They did a phenomenal job. They called me and I got the information and I decided to go ahead. Everything was very professional, informative and helpful. They did my credit cards and the payment plan was very flexible. Sometimes I wanted to increase the contribution and they allowed me to do so. It wasn’t hard. Also, working with GreenPath helped me pay my debts faster because they negotiated the interest rate for me, which was really good.

I was thrilled to use Greenpath but when I completed my payments, I was horrified to find that on my credit report, payments on 2 of the credit cards they were paying were paid AFTER THE DUE DATE for the entire length of my plan. I called Greenpath to ask/report this, and they told me it was not their problem. I find that inexcusable. I am currently disputing this with the credit bureaus myself but I will not be recommending Greenpath to anyone...and to say I am disappointed is a gross understatement.

We certainly can understand it is upsetting when accounts are reported delinquent and we are happy to provide details as to how and why that happens. If an account is charged off by the creditor before enrolling with GreenPath, we can set up a payment plan to try and prevent further collection activity, however the debt still remains in charge off status. If a debt is not charged off, we need consistent deposits from the client to ensure the creditor payments are made on time.
If you would like to review your concerns in more detail, please call us at 866-476-7284 with a credit report and we can compare the status of the account before the DMP and then the deposit history to GreenPath. If you do not have a credit report, we can conference call creditors with you and compare the delinquencies in relationship to the deposits to GreenPath. You may also log into your GreenPath portal to view your GreenPath statements to ensure all deposit dollars are accounted for and reconcile it with your creditor statements.

It's been wonderful with GreenPath. Once I talked to them, it was no gimmick. It was like, “This is how it is.” I liked how easy they were to work with. They allowed us to pick if there was a card or two that we wanted to keep. That was a huge decision maker also. The enrollment process was good. The most painful part was when they asked all the questions about my income and outgoings but it was necessary. It helped set up the program that was really tailor made to us. I couldn't pay $10 a month and get out of it, but it was doable. Since 2017, we've never missed a payment. It hasn't always been easy, but because I believed in the program, I made sure that the payment was there.
Their service was good. It was easier once I learned and put in the effort myself to learn the website. The documents were right there. The upgrade they did a little bit ago was also there. What I really liked about it too was if I had extra money up to $500, I could verbally ask them to pull that out and put it on a certain card. I did that on multiple times and realizing if it was over 500 that I would have to send an email. The flexibility in the program was really big for me also.
For some companies, you call and talk to one representative and they tell you something. Then you call again and another one tells you something else. It wasn't like that with GreenPath when I would call in, no matter who I got, to do a transaction or ask a question. Something else that I really liked, especially towards the end was when I was trying trying to pay everything off quicker. They reached out to that card company. Even though I would do it online, they would call them right there and get that balance. That was really nice and helpful.
I’m debt free now and I feel really good. GreenPath really enabled me to even learn how to manage better. I was married 29 years and I wasn't gonna take all of the burden. Even though I took 3/4, GreenPath was able to split it in the middle of the program. That was huge for me, and it was not painful at all. It was rather amazing and I was shocked. The way the society is now, you can't really trust a lot of people let alone companies because there are certain companies that are out to take your money. They're hurtful. They're not really out to help you. But I can truly say that GreenPath really helped me and I think that that's their goal - to really help people, not to get over on them.

Three years ago, my husband and I contracted pneumonia. While we were in the hospital, somebody hit me and charged up our Amazon card to the max. I tried to get to the bottom of it when we got out of the hospital. There was total lack of cooperation and the card itself said they would only deal with their own bank. They assigned GreenPath to help me make payments on it monthly and I just paid it all off two months ago with my first stimulus check, but GreenPath kept taking money out of the bank. The bank notified me that they were still doing that and the bank put a stop on it.
GreenPath called me and I told them what was happening. They know the account was closed so they sent me paperwork that it was. But the bank that the card is through has not reimbursed me for the two payments it took. They put it on the card which is supposed to be canceled so that this couldn't happen again. But they won't cancel the card so somebody could do it again. They said they would look into it but I haven't heard anymore. It's terrifying and I don't know what to do. I am wondering if I need to get a lawyer.
I've been going through the process with GreenPath for 3 years. That's quite too long. The rep was very polite over the phone, but nothing got done except that I did get a paper that said it was paid in full. That came from GreenPath, not from the bank that issued the card. I don't know if they're connected and she didn't know either. She said she would check into it. They must be connected somehow or how could GreenPath make the payments to that bank or at the card? That's where I’m a little disturbed that something isn't right.

Thank you for posting a review with your concerns. We are sorry to hear that the debt was used/charged when you and your husband were sick. First and foremost, if you feel the charges were fraudulent, please pursue your rights as a card holder.
The Compliance Team researched your file, listened to a call, called Amazon, and called you in response to your review. Our records show that you called the National Foundation for Credit Counseling and were referred to GreenPath. You chose to enroll in a Debt Management Program to obtain more favorable terms on your Amazon card. The review states you have been with us for 3 years, our records show the agreement was signed on 7/9/2018.
On 7/3/2020 GreenPath initiated a scheduled withdrawal from your bank account and it was returned for “payment stopped” on 7/9/1010. An employee called on 7/10/2020 to review the returned deposit to GreenPath and you explained you stopped it because you paid off Amazon with your stimulus check. The employee stated creditors do not give us balance updates and thanked you for the update as we had an estimated balance on file of $1003.59. She then explained we need to close your program, congratulated you, and encouraged you to obtain a paid in full letter from Amazon. In the call you mentioned we need to check who we are working with as you tried to call and the phone number was no longer in service. The employee offered to give our phone number and it was declined.
In response to your review, on 8/10/2020 GreenPath called Amazon (Synchrony) and they advised the account was paid in full with a credit balance of $60 and indicated they will refund the $60 after 2 billing cycles. An employee of our Compliance Department called you on 8/10/2020 called you to review your concerns and explained the $60 would be sent after 2 billing cycles. She offered to conference call Synchrony and the offer was not accepted. She offered the Synchrony customer service phone number twice and that was not accepted. The conversation was not finished as the call was disconnected. The review states that you have not received a paid in full letter from Synchrony. This is something that can be requested from Synchrony. You did state in your call on 7/10/2020 the debt is showing paid in full. We know it is upsetting to think we may have intentionally overpaid Amazon. Your GreenPath agreement specifically states, “contact an AMC prior to directly paying a creditor. Paying creditors directly will affect any concessions or arrangements made by an AMC on your behalf”.
With regards to the account being closed, generally speaking a creditor will close an account when a proposal is accepted through the debt management program. This prevents a cardholder from making additional charges. With regards to your GreenPath account, that account was closed when we called you to discuss the return deposit to GreenPath on 7/10/2020.
GreenPath sent you a message via your GreenPath portal on 8/10/2020 offering to conference call Synchrony should you choose to accept our offer.

GreenPath made it possible for us to pay off $50,000 of credit card debt in 4.5 years!! It was very hard, and there were times we felt we may have committed to a higher payment plan than we could afford but we wanted to be free of this debt as quickly as possible. We also knew that if we needed to make adjustments to our payment GreenPath would have been able to do that. We will be using them for our student loan debt as well!! I've recommended GreenPath to scores of people as debt is a massive and growing problem in our country. There was no shame associated with our situation, the plan we chose built our credit score, we never took a credit hit for choosing a debt management plan. There is often a wait when I call with questions, that can be annoying but that's probably the worst thing. We will continue to be with this great company until we can say we are 100% debt free!!

A few years ago, I was drowning in credit card debt and I had tried credit counseling and even an financial consultant. None of their advice was tenable. I work long hours and have a long commute as it is, so a second job was not an option. Then a friend told me that he and his wife used Green Path and I called to see if they could help me.
Not only was the representative extremely friendly but she was also understanding and helpful. Eventually I gave her my information and after a while GP gave me a plan. I will say that the monthly payment they negotiated was higher than I had expected or wanted, but the only alternative was to go with an agency that settles for a payoff with the banks and the only hit that is worse to your credit than that is bankruptcy.
It did require that I struggle with the payment for a few years. I had to stop traveling and curtail expenditures and it wasn't easy. But I maintained a decent credit rating and finally got the payment completed. I would recommend Green Path to anyone. They are helpful, concerned and their staff is among the nicest such people I've encountered.

I had accumulated a ridiculous amount of consumer debt. I began "retail therapy" following my father's passing and continued to abuse credit cards for years after. I had gotten to a concerning amount (I had trouble sleeping at night) and decided I had to do something about it. I was referred to GreenPath by a friend and it was the best decision for me. The counselors were extremely helpful, courteous, and non-judgmental. They helped me develop a payment plan that worked with my current lifestyle. Though I was paying bills, I was able to do some comfortably. I also learned a few new tricks in budgeting. The envelope method is my favorite and is working well.
Thankfully, I was able to not only manage my payments, but pay off my debt before my originally intended payoff date. I was embarrassed by having to use a debt management program, but honestly, carrying the debt was much more embarrassing. It was also encouraging to know that I was not the only person having to climb their way out of a financial mess. If anyone is in debt, need help, guidance, support, or to learn about options available after losing income PLEASE consider GreenPath. I have nothing but good things to say about this program. Without it, I don't know where I would be right now--likely still trying to chip away at debt on all my high interest credit cards.

I have a credit card through Amazon and the payments and interest were getting too high. One of their phone people told me about GreenPath and I called them. Enrolling was pretty easy. I gave their reps my information and we discussed how much I could afford to pay a month, and then based on that plan, we determined how long it would take for the debt to go away. They are well-organized which was encouraging for me. Some close friends I confided in were very suspicious of what GreenPath's actual intention was when they heard I was using a debt consolidation company. GreenPath was transparent about everything. They told me their charges and how much everything would cost. I completed their program and now I'm debt-free.

GreenPath is simple and easy to use, so I'd recommend them. They were recommended by Wescom, my credit union and when I signed up online, it was easy. I first used them six years ago and there were no questions. It was fast. They told me the payments I made that were set, if I made them, how long it would take to pay it off. If I paid more, then that would speed it up. I had an idea of how long it would all take and I didn't have questions and concerns along the way. The service from GreenPath was top-notch. The people I met when I went to see them made me feel more comfortable. I enrolled in person and the process was very good. We did it within 45 minutes. I was impressed with their thoroughness and kindness. They let me know about their programs but they weren't pushy about it. We set up a monthly payment and they really kept in touch with me all the way. As any payment was completed, I got a letter from them to make sure everything was clear with that particular credit card. They were just very good at staying with me without hovering every five seconds.
The program got me out of a massive debt and in a way that wasn't terribly painful. We took a look at what the debt was and their rep did some calculations about how long it would take. Then I had to consider how much I could afford at that point and we came to something that would work for both of us. Then when I got towards the end, they helped me to figure out what the payment should be and we worked out our way right down to the very end. Even when I lost my job with COVID, they gave me a month to just rest, and then we were able to finish up probably a month or so. GreenPath has really guided and supported me all the way. I'm totally debt-free now and will never again use another credit card. It's proven to me that I can live very comfortably without one.

We had a housing debacle and were trying to get our finances under control. We were looking for some way to set up a budget and to get debt-free. GreenPath Financial Wellness has been excellent in helping us do that over the years. The enrollment process was great. At the time, I lived in Chicago. I took all of my information down to the main office and I met with the counselor. The counselor walked me through how much it would cost and how they would contact our debtors.
They got everything set up for us and they were able to set things up where they would just take the money out of our account each month to pay our creditors, which worked out really well for us. I was a teacher and I got paid bi-weekly. They would take the money out toward the end of the month. They were excellent. Each time I called, all of the representatives were able to help me. We’re able to go to the portal that they set up for us and check to see how we were progressing. They also covered us with emails. They did an excellent, excellent job and I've referred them to several family members as well.

I turned to GreenPath when I reached a financial point where I was not able to keep up with everything on my own. I used GreenPath many many years ago also, so there was no debate about whether or not to use them again. Everything was completed online and every person I dealt with when signing up, when there were site issues and when I was making extra payments and paying individuals accounts off, was very nice, supportive and encouraging as well as congratulatory about my progress. What should have taken me over three years to pay off was completed in 27 months.
I'm changing how I deal with my finances, and as much as I hope that I never have to use GreenPath and their services, I know they are there. I have recommended GreenPath to others who were in my situation, explained how they work and how some of the pressure was lifted. I was able to work with the payments that were based on what I could afford and I only had to ensure that the money was in the bank every week, instead of having to pay a bunch of different bills every week.

Everything went great with GreenPath. Their reps were really good and the payment plan was great. It was what I needed. When it got to January and I was within a good range of getting paid off really quickly, I decided to concentrate on that and finished paying it off. Last year my wife and I had a serious of unfortunate events that left us several months behind on over a dozen accounts totaling nearly 80k in unsecured debt. We would receive 20+ calls a day from creditors and 2019 was a terrible year for us. We finally decided to contact Greenpath and get our debts managed. Within 2 months all of the creditor calls stopped. We were able to make a plan with greenpath that allowed us to make just two deposits a month on our schedule then they would cut the checks to dozen+ creditors. Most of our interest rates were negotiated to <10%, some even having a negative real interest rate with inflation!
I've spoken to Greenpath at least 15 times since we signed up in October 2019 to add new debts, pay off smaller ones to snowball other debts and even suspend a DMP payment for a week until the money was available in our account. No problems and everyone was beyond pleasant. I enjoy calling greenpath because I get a sense of relief during and after the call. I know things will get done.
My only cons are that when we called to start adding debts and creating our DMP, we were informed 3 unsecured loans which one included a car payment wasn't eligible. We were paying about $1200 a month on the debt. I ended up calling again at a later time to deal with another matter and I brought it up and in fact it could be added to the DMP and Greenpath negotiated that debt from $1200/mth to 700/mth which basically paid off our entire car loan that was about $475/mth prior to being refinanced and bundled in with an unsecured cash loan. It would have been nicer to get the ball rolling on that debt earlier.
Second is they sent out an offer letter to a creditor but the creditor did not reply to Greenpath. Greenpath made what they assumed would be the monthly payment they would accept. GP sent the payment for about 4 months without a response from the collection agency then we ended up getting served and sued in small claims over the debt by the collection agency. We were able to pay off the debt in full and get the suit dismissed, but the court costs and service fees ate up the 4 months of payments GP ended up sending them. Otherwise, we love Greenpath. We are on track to pay off about 80k in debt by October 2022 or 3 years since we signed up. We plan on snowballing some of the smaller debts with any extra income and tax returns. We'll be "bad debt" free before our original 3 year DMP goal. :) Greenpath is a solid 9/10.

I live in Madison, Wisconsin and the United Way has a central clearing house we called 2-1-1. I talked to a lady there. I needed some help with financial problems I was having and she referred me to GreenPath. They were very professional and right on target. They listened very carefully. I was with them for almost four years and I have only positive interaction with them on phone and online. I finished the program about a month ago. I had some extra money so I paid off the $390 on the final payment. I called them and told them that my account was done, and they closed it. They did everything just right. I thanked them over the years every time I called or when I had an interaction with them. I will always thank them for helping me get back on track.

Greenpath helped me get my credit cards paid off. They worked with the creditors on amount that I was able to pay them every 2 weeks. If you were not able to pay I would call them and explain my situation and they helped me with a plan.

We were clients of Green Path for 37 months. We recently were fortunate enough to pay off $43,000 in credit card debt. They were behind us every step of the way. Communication was wonderful, no problems. A couple times that we needed to skip a payment, they were understanding and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone that wants to get back on track. It's tough, it really is. But learning to say no to yourself is a learning curve that is rewarded in the end..

I could never have gotten out of debt without Greenpath. The DMP was a fantastic tool and setting it up was easy with their help. I can’t recommend them enough. I was thinking about filing bankruptcy five years ago and someone let me know about GreenPath, so I gave them a call. I liked what they said and went with it. I had almost 20,000 in debt at 24% interest on credit cards and they got it dropped down to 4% or 5% and half the payments, 800 down to 400. I only talked to them when I got it set up until I paid it off recently. I paid off the last 2,000 about a month ago. I feel better and I'm much happier paying off my debt instead of just filing bankruptcy.

I called GreenPath's number and they arranged me to talk to one of their workers. They were very nice. They said, "This is what to do. This is what we do. This is how this works. And you decide if this is what you want." They had all the answer. They had a counselor speak to you and you were able to talk to them and see if this is what you wanted to do.
The program took weight off of my shoulders in worrying that things weren't gonna be paid that I had to keep scrambling. They deal with the creditors. They use your information. They set things up that the money that you can arrange to pay, what you had to take care of and what they did, what they took care of, and it worked. You were always able to call them whenever you had a question or you could write things down and they always came up with an answer. With the other companies that I talked to, they just talked over me and they never gave satisfactory answers to say that they were protecting me and my credit rating.
I am very satisfied with GreenPath and the way they handled my case. Any time I call, I may not speak to the same person that you spoke to, but they all knew my case. They always send mr a reconciliation. I got mail from them on weekly or monthly basis. I would always be able to call when I don't understand something and they were willing to speak with me. It was a relief to have someone understand what was going on. No one criticized me. They were marvelous people to work with. I'll recommend them to anybody.

The ultimate reason to get into this program was we had so many different types of bills we were paying out and my wife was frustrated. I gotta make a payment here and pay it there. It was a huge undertaking for us. My brother has been using GreenPath for years and so he suggested it and that’s what turned us on to it. We started using them and we used them for quite a few years because we were adding more medical bills to the program. Then we finally got it all paid off to where we don’t have anything. They were fantastic. I could send an email or I could call them and anybody I talked to had access to our account. They were always willing to help and do whatever we needed them to do. They were excellent to work with and we loved the program. We just finished it last month. We're relieved quite a bit. It frees up a lot of cash flow in our checking account.

Your credit report submitted to us September 2018 indicates some accounts fell past due when transitioning onto the debt management program. Our notes on March 27, 2017 indicate you wanted to say current on your accounts, however, you didn’t think it was feasible and we discussed late fees and impact to credit. We also encourage clients to pay the difference between our payment and the normal creditor payment until notification is received from the creditor they have accepted the plan and have changed your monthly payment. It is always a creditors discretion regarding enrolling in a program. By paying the difference, it avoids negative credit impact of late payments. We understand clients may not be able to do this and we are sorry there was confusion during that discussion they would fall past due if the difference was not paid. I have never been so pleased with a company in my life. GreenPath was recommended by a friend and they were so above and beyond wonderful. I was never judged for the financial mess I made for myself, just helped time and time again. Every communication I had with them left me with a smile. I've never heard of a company who took a gradually DECREASING fee over time. There was no pre-payment penalty. GreenPath helped me pay off my debts and took the actions I was struggling to do for myself (closing accounts, lowering interest rates). My credit was not as poorly affected since I did not make a settlement on the amount owed, just paid decreased interest rates. Everything was smooth, manageable, and just absolutely outstanding. I went to my bank and told them I was having problems keeping up with my bills. They suggested GreenPath to me. GreenPath pretty much called everybody for me during the enrollment and did most of the heavy lifting so it was pretty easy. Also, everybody was always really nice and easy to get in touch with. I never had to do any kind of crazy waiting. They made it super easy. I've completed the program. Working with them pulled my credit score up and it helped me get a bunch of debt off my back.

My bank suggested GreenPath Financial and I went with them. The enrollment process was okay and their program made it easier for me to pay things off. However, it looked like a wage garnishment on my credit. I was never told anything about things happening that way. Still, everybody there was helpful.

GreenPath does not report to credit bureaus. Creditors may report the payment is being handled by a credit counseling agency and may say something along the lines of:

I was in some pretty big debt that I wasn’t getting anywhere with the interest rates and the amount that has racked up from my divorce, so I decided to reach out. I looked into what was available for me here in my state and GreenPath was the number one that came recommended so I went with them. I had a lot of questions in the beginning because I didn't wanna get into something that was gonna tear my credit apart. I’ve been very conscientious about my credit. They were so patient and they answered all my questions.
Everybody was really wonderful and nice. It was pretty easy to get ahold of an actual human being, which is really great. It’s been a couple of years, but I still have the contact information of the first person I talked to and I’ve contacted them a few times. They were steady. Toward the end, I called and asked how the program wraps up and they looked into everything for me and customized my last payment so I wasn't paying over or not paying enough. I just finished with the program. Last month was my very last payment and they were really great right up until the very end. I’ve told a few people about it when people talk to me about their debt issues.

When I went in, GreenPath stopped the late payments and took my interest down significantly. Also, I like the online portal. My whole thing was about four and a half years and I didn’t start taking advantage of it until the last eight months. I wish I had taken advantage of that earlier whether it was available when I signed up in 2015 or not. The nice thing was it allowed me to keep an eye on how things were going and the progress without having to call credit card companies or log back into accounts to see what was going on. I stayed on top of things and monitored when it was coming down. Toward the end, I made a call and said it looked like I was almost done and asked when my last payment was. Somebody went ahead and said they could use my next payment as my final payment and close out the account. I'm happy that I signed up with them because there was no way I was gonna be able to pay off the debt that I accrued without a little bit of help.

We were trying to get a mortgage and needed to clean up our credit and our credit union suggested GreenPath. The enrollment was a pretty easy process. The reps did a fantastic job and were very helpful. The program has been working well. We’ve been on it for several years and just paid $200 every two weeks. We have completed most of the things that were on there and we've also been able to add things as things were paid off. However, we had to get off of the program because my husband switched jobs and we weren’t getting paid the same.

I'm done with the GreenPath program. When I was looking for a provider, I got a better feeling from them and I didn't feel like I was taken advantage of. Plus, they seem to be more ethical and caring than some of the other sites. The customer service people were super friendly, empathetic and easy to work with. I liked that I could have two payments a month and I could pay more if I wanted to at any time. I didn't have to go through them every time and I just had to let them know. So if I got a bonus, I could pay through the credit card online. I also liked the tools that they had available on their website. Plus, their interest rates were great.

Everything was surprisingly easy to the point that I thought it was too good to be true. But from the time I set up the account to the time that I paid it off, the program with them was painless virtually. It worked super well. Throughout the course of my time with them, they made a lot of updates allowing a lot more, adding useful features to their online portal. Their portal is useful. They helped me clear my debt with Bank of America. It would have taken me a lot longer. They got the interest rate lowered. Made the payments manageable. I would recommend them to anyone who is having financial problems. They helped to get us back on track.

My friend told me about GreenPath and she had said they had helped her out. She had given me some details of her issues and stuff of what she had then what they had talked about. I said I’d give it a try because I didn’t know exactly where to go or what to do. I gave them a call and decided to go with them. They basically took money out of our check twice a month and they paid the credit card bills with the money that they took out then they took the fee out with it. I spoke with several people over there and the customer service was really good. One time I had an issue and I called back, talked to somebody else and they were able to fix it.
GreenPath was able to redirect the focus and it helped because they were able to lower the interest rate which enabled us to pay the debts off faster. If I called the credit companies, they wouldn’t lower them. But GreenPath had a contract with the credit companies and they were able to do something different which worked out for me. I was able to pretty much zone in on what I needed to pay first. And because I was able to save, we were able to put a big chunk down on a new vehicle. That was kinda good for us.
I was paying $50 a month up until about the last six months or so. I just progressively was able to pay on it because of the different bonus checks and stuff that we received. I can understand that GreenPath had to make money so they had to have a fee on it. Their fee was good but $50 a month was kinda high. It was like $10 for each card of two $50. And I had $50 for the majority of the time per month. I would’ve rather paid one fee down. But in the last four months, I paid 40 then 30 then 20 for a month then I didn’t pay anything at all because I paid it off. I finished with the program in February. That took almost two and a half years.
GreenPath's website was also very good and I love it. It was very easy to work with and maneuver through. It was very easy to understand what they were doing. But at the same token if I needed to call them and say, “I've paid off this credit card. Don’t pay any more on it,” and to get ahold of them in the middle of the day, it was kinda hard. I learned that I had to call at 7 o’clock in the morning to be able to get ahold of them.

GreenPath Financial was really good about making sure that the payment plan was something that we could do. And we had times when we had extra money and the best idea to do with that was to pay. I really like them. They were always friendly. However, I had one girl who didn’t wanna be there one day and was really grumpy. I texted them and I seemed to have hit a nerve. They apologized and had me talk to somebody else and that was the end of it. I never had anybody like that again. I liked that if you called, you get an answer back. They were very good about calling back and talking us through stuff. When they’d get small debts paid off, they'd send a text to let us know. They paid our bills for us so we could get out of debt. We would’ve been paid off this year, but we paid everything off early this January. They were fantastic and we really enjoyed working with them.

GreenPath helped me as well as my daughter to get our lives back on track. At first I thought I made a mistake because there is a little time to get the program working. Because I was in debt I was nervous. The agents were very comforting and I never came across anyone that I felt did not know what they were doing. Once my creditors were on board and payments were being made and I could finally breath easy I knew this was a terrific program. I actually completed the program early because I added to the monthly payments when I can. I wish I would have tried this much earlier instead I used my house for a piggy bank which created the worst of problems. Today I rid myself of credit cards except one with little to no balance and it feels good... TY Greenpath! I have already referred a friend of mine to you.

Easy to work with any questions they helped you figure out the answers too. They helped call the credit companies to verify amount left on credit cards. You had a web site to help verify your info. Plus they had classes you can take if you want too. To help you better prepare yourself for the future.

I was very satisfied overall with the customer service. Every time I had a question I was helped and guided throughout my experience paying my debt. They followed up with me every time an account was paid in full. I was sent emails to let me know in case they weren't able to talk to me.

A co-worker that I worked with currently uses GreenPath and she said she had great luck with them. I tried and I went with the program for credit card. They were super helpful. I was in the program for three months and it was an awesome experience. GreenPath does a great job helping people and making them feel they can accomplish their goals by paying off their debts.

Consumers Credit Union said they work with GreenPath for debt management since I talked to them about it. They referred me to GreenPath so I tried them. Their customer service was great. They were phenomenal. I really enjoyed working with them on taking my debt down. For the most part, I took away my credit card debt and the only debt I have left is the student debt. The payments were reasonable and I never missed a payment. Overall, it was a good experience and a good payment plan.

I would recommend GreenPath. Working with them took stress off of me. It was a smooth process from beginning to end and I'm glad I did it. GreenPath was recommended through my credit union. They provided me with debt consolidation and it worked out well. In three years, it was done. It consolidated some debt and made it easier to get done with the things that I was worried about. Their reps were right on top of everything. If I had questions, they would answer it. They were helpful.
