GreenPath was offered as a free service through my credit union when we first started. So, we signed up with them and they helped us with our bills. Communication was good but enrollment was tedious. I had to get all my bills and paperwork together. It took a bit but it was worth it. Three years later, the service wasn't free anymore but we liked it enough that we started paying the monthly fee. The only reason I left is because I don’t have that many debts left, so it wasn’t really worth it to pay the fee. Other than that, working with them was great. They paid my bills and took the discipline off of me 'cause once something was paid off, they would take the extra money and pay something else off. With me, I would have said, "Oh, I get more money." So, it was nice.

The reps were very informative. When I first set up, they were there to answer my questions and help me along with the process. Even after my account was established, if I had any questions or concerns when I called in, they were very respectful. The payment plan worked out with my income at the time. I like GreenPath. They helped me get out of debt.

GreenPath helped me a lot. They set me up with an excellent program and when I wanted to change my due date for the payment, they helped me really quickly. The program gave me peace financially because I paid off everything I needed to pay off and I would recommend GreenPath because they were really efficient. They also had Spanish-speaking people.

They were thorough and detailed. They went over each credit card bill that I had and the amount that I owed and they explained the process, discussed the amount that would be taken out that was doable for me on a monthly, bi-monthly basis, or weekly basis, according to what I could afford. They were quick. But they took their time. They sent me the papers for me to look at. I reviewed them and then had to fax them back once I signed them. I like that you can pay more if you wanted to. If you have an issue or a problem with the payment coming out for a particular week, you could hold it off, cease the payment for that week. They gave me an estimate of when I would be over, but I was also making additional payments. I completed the program. Now, I'm debt-free.

GreenPath was great. I had a couple of bills that I had to get paid, and I didn't have the money to pay them, so I figured that would be the best way for me to go. The rep told me what I had to do and how much I had to pay to get started. My main purpose was to get those two bills that I had paid off, and I have completed the program in two years. I will tell people GreenPath is the best way to go. They are very courteous and really helpful.

My experience with GreenPath was positive. The only issue I had was receiving communication from them. Sometimes, I would send messages and it would take weeks for them to respond. They could have sent more emails informing me of the progress, especially the summary because any time I would check my progress, I would have to log in to the portal and do all this and that. Other than that, they did everything that they promised, although it took a couple of months longer, which they said could happen. I started in December 2019 and I ended in May of this year. It helped out a lot and it changed everything, especially when it comes to my credit.

Once I started the program, I didn't have any problems with things being paid. I didn't have to worry about anything. It started right away so that I was able to get it go on fairly quickly and get all the paperwork signed and all the debtors on board and get some of that stress level down. It was hard to discipline myself to do it, but once I got into doing it, the four years just sped right on by. It was as pleasant as a situation like that could be. I'm so glad that I did it.

The woman I spoke to was very nice, but after all said and done she asked for a lot of information and promised to send some information to me and she never sent it. If a company doesn't send you an email right then and there I've learned they most likely are lying. They collect information so seems to me that's their number one goal... Very disappointed.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Our practice is to provide a complete summary and action plan with all of the information discussed and recommended to you immediately upon completion of the session. Our records indicate we did send this out and to the email address provided, however we are happy to provide a copy of the summary in any way that would work best for you, and we have proactively sent the summary to the mailing address we have on file to ensure you receive the information. The enrollment process at GreenPath was really simple and the reps were very helpful. I felt very comfortable working with them. Setting up the payment plan was very nice and easy. I have everything paid off now, so it worked for sure. I had another checking account at the time and I forgot to put money in the account that GreenPath came out of so it got returned. I called them and they were really nice and they didn't charge any fees. They just said, “It's okay. It happens.” Their program got me out of debt, which was really nice. In the past, I had done Discover and secured loans, but that was a little different because I was taking on more debt doing that. I was very happy with GreenPath. I've told quite a few people about them.

Congratulations on completing your program! We are glad you had such a positive experience with GreenPath. Thank you for telling others about us!

During the pandemic, the rates were raised from 8% and 11% to 29%. It was a $27,000 credit card debt, and it made it impossible. GreenPath negotiated with the credit card companies and dropped the interest rate down to 10%. They have great service. They're very responsive.

The program has worked. I did one period of time with them, and they said my period of time was ending. And then I asked them, is it possible to continue with them? They allowed me to do so. But I just got a letter from them saying it's time again so I'm curious if they'll allow me another session of them assisting me to pay my debt or not. But as far as I'm concerned, it's been a complete success. I was impressed by the kindness and openness of the reps and the fact that they don't judge me. They're 100% there to help me. Working with GreenPath has definitely improved my credit score.

Some of the companies I looked at were a scam so I didn't go with them. GreenPath's website was okay. When I called customer service, they were very nice. I had a good experience with them. I set things up and every month money was taken out of my account and my debts were paid. The payment plan was affordable.

The reps were very knowledgeable and knew what they were talking about, and the application process was easy. They just wanted to know what I wanted to consolidate and they told me the challenge I had to go through and what I had to do. I just followed their lead, then they took the money out of my account every month, and the payment plan was great. I completed the course, and I enjoyed the service.

The enrollment process with GreenPath was easy. All they needed was the information about the creditors that I wanted to sign up with, and they let me know how much it would be monthly, which was financially good for me. I'm done with the program. I didn't have a problem when I was enrolled with them. The creditor got their money on time. So, I didn't run into any problems. Home Depot was my last creditor to pay off, and it's paid off. I did talk to someone recently that said that my payment has been paid off and I was supposed to get a credit for $22. They did tell me that if I got any notification or anybody calls about me on more money through Home Depot, I have to let them know. I didn't get anything for Home Depot. In fact, when I called Home Depot, they told me that I owe like 40 cents, and they couldn't waive that until the 22nd of this month. I have to call back to get that 40 cents waived.

They were friendly and nice. They gave me good options, told me when it was gonna be paid off and treated me well. The application process was easy. One of the ladies said that they'd walk me through it and all I had to do was show proof of what I needed and went from there. I finished the program and it was great.

The GreenPath agent said that if I got on the program, I was gonna see my credit flourish and go up every month. But that was not true at all. I talked to another agent about a year into the program and I asked what the deal was because I haven't missed any payment. I was told this and it's not happening. And the other agent I talked to with GreenPath said that was not how it works. My credit's gonna go up once each card gets paid off. Also, I was under the impression that skipping a payment was okay and that it wouldn't have any negative effects on me paying back or staying consistent with the payments. They told me if I needed to skip a payment, if I was experiencing financial hardships, that I could. But they didn't tell me that they weren't gonna give any money to the credit card company I owed and it ended up being reported to my credit.

Hi Emily,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. The purpose of the DMP is to repay creditors. There are many factors that impact credit score, payment history has the most impact.
With regards to skipping a deposit your GreenPath account, while the creditor may allow/be okay with a client to skip a monthly payment, the account will fall past due. GreenPath cannot pay a clients credit card without receiving the money to make the payment.
Your account will be reviewed and feedback provided as needed to employees. It is important that our employees explain expectations as outlined in your signed agreement. Thank you for your detailed review - we appreciate it!

I’ve got several things going on that are really bad right now, and I heard about GreenPath through the manager at my bank. GreenPath was great. I get a different rep each time I call in if I want to know something, and they are knowledgeable. They get to the problem and help me out whenever I call in. Even when I had a problem saying, “I just don't know if I can go along with this,” they were most helpful. They figured it out and took a great deal off of my mind. I would definitely recommend them and I would definitely call for their help again.

The reps answered all my questions when I called them. When I was confused about something, they straightened it out. The service was good. I was happy to get out of debt. I only had once incident when I missed a couple of payments and I didn't know that when I made a payment, it wouldn't go to the previous creditor. Instead, they paid the people that was on the schedule for the next payment. So if I missed two payments in two months, that would be two months that that specific creditor wasn't paid. They told me, they said, "Well, we didn't receive payment, and so we turned the account off." I'm still working to try and get that straightened out.

Everything was perfect in my experience with them. How they closed the account was good. They also help you as much as they can. Except when I call there, I will have to wait on hold for at least 30 minutes every time. I can always email them too, but I always like to hear somebody on the other line.

GreenPath was Clarifi when I started. The transition was smooth. They let us know every step of the way so that made me comfortable to stay with them. Once my profile was made, I spoke to a financial person who discussed how the program worked, what they were gonna try to do, what my payments would be, how long the program would last for me, and if I agreed or not.
The program was the best decision I ever made. I had five credit cards in the program that went to one payment. I didn't have to do anything. It automatically came out of my account on a day I picked for an amount I approved. The other biggest thing was I felt like I was throwing hundreds of dollars on my credit cards a month. I was not being late or missing payments, but I wasn't making any advancements on getting the total balance down. With GreenPath, someone was doing this for me and that I knew that it was slowly coming down because they renegotiated interest rates. Once one was paid off, that money went to another credit card versus something else that I probably would have spent it on. That helped get my balances down.
There was never that long of a wait time. When you're dealing with credit card companies, a lot of times, you're waiting forever or passed around. With GreenPath, the reps are very pleasant. Even when you called worried and asked stupid questions, you never felt judged or they were never angry. They made me feel comfortable in the program.

Congratulations on completing your DMP! We love hearing how the program has positively impacted you!

They went over all my information and took their time. It was pretty good. There were times where I fell back a little bit, but they worked with me to get caught up. It's a decent program. The only thing was that they had an office here in the city where I was at, but then they closed the office. They worked out of the office out of Detroit. But it was nice to have that personal time, one on one or if there was something I need to discuss, I could have gone into the office myself and worked with a person versus over the phone. It became a little non-personalized after the office closed.

Thank you for sharing your experience, Sherry! We understand not being able to visit your counselor in person was disappointing. Due to the pandemic, all in person counseling was shifted to telephone only. We apologize for the disappointment - we agree, in person is wonderful!
Congratulations on your accomplishment!

I was kept well up-to-date on things. And every time I called in to do things or rearrange things, there were no issues. GreenPath took care of everything, and I took care of it two years in advance. However, I expected to pay 1,300 but I ended up paying 500 and some. So, I don't know where that lapsed. It was more money in my pocket. But for somebody who will do the same thing, he should get an accurate budget. It's not real time. It was a very positive experience and I felt normal. Everything was very easy.

I needed to consolidate some credit cards and I went to Wright-Patt Credit Union and they introduced me to GreenPath, so the application process was very easy. The representatives were helpful. They got back to me either while we were on the phone or very slight, within that hour. It was a smooth process. I could choose what I wanted to do with how the payments went. They gave options. I have officially been through with GreenPath. I was close to the end and I added on something else with no problem, and I worked through that. Hopefully, I will not be in the same situation again. But if I ever need them again for whatever reason, I will go back with no problem.

Thank you, Angel! We are glad you had a positive GreenPath experience!

GreenPath Financial Wellness was the best. They said the right things, about how they would work with me. I called them and told them my credit card debt. They got back to me and they made out a payment plan. First time, I paid $145 a month, and I upped it to $180. I would always log in and check my account. They set me up with an ID and the password. It's easy to log in and log out. I scroll down on my credit cards, clicked on that, show me what my balance was. And it also showed how many more months I have to pay on it. And it kept updated. Sometimes, I got logged out so I had to call them. And they would reset my password and gave me a pin at the log in. I also called them if I had questions. And they would tell me, "This is right." The rep kept me updated on everything. GreenPath helped me get everything paid off and I'm out of debt.
If I had to miss a payment, I would call and ask them if I could make it next month, and they would say yes. So, it gave me an extra month to get it paid off. I would have it paid off in 62 months. But they upped it to 65 months. That's how I got it paid off. I've been telling my brother about GreenPath. I would have him call them and set up a plan, and get his big debt paid off.

Congratulations on completing your DMP! We love hearing how the program has positively impacted you!
