I bank with PNC Bank and they highly recommended GreenPath. But there was a little bit of a hang-up in the beginning. There were certain restrictions on who GreenPath could communicate with. They couldn't get over the hurdle and communicate with the bank about the minutia of the negotiation of what could be paid, when it could be paid and how it was gonna be paid. That was the only frustration that I had. At least, it was this way several years ago. There was a lot that fell on the client to communicate to the people at the bank and the people at the company. Then of course, people at the bank and people at GreenPath would ask a question but because I’m not a banker and I don’t work for GreenPath, I didn't always have the answer to those.

It was very difficult to get on the same page with everybody. I didn’t understand why there wasn’t a better working relationship, because it was a referral, as far as communications between the bank and GreenPath. The back and forth became aggravating because there was only so much information, even with me being a person who does his research and his due diligence. It would have been easier if GreenPath could pick up the phone, talk to the person who was handling my debt and work some of those things out. Then they could communicate with me as the third-party and say what result they had come to then ask if I was happy with that. That would have been a much more seamless transition in process.

All the while, I was also having to make payments and those were larger payments than I could really afford at that time. But I saw the value in the company and thankfully, after a couple of weeks of back and forth, and phone tags, we finally got the right people from my bank to communicate with GreenPath. Everything was able to be finalized in quotes, prices and interests rates. Then it was a smooth process ever since. Once the ball got rolling, they were great. GreenPath is a great company and they do a great job of what they do.

In the beginning, there was also one person who ran things pretty well. But then I lost contact with him or he didn’t get back until it was done. Then we got put through to somebody else and they had a different way of doing things. Still, GreenPath was really flexible as far as getting a manageable payment. The bi-weekly pay schedule was hard for us but that was understandable as well. If the bank was only gonna accept X amount of dollars and GreenPath was trying to get it lower than that then you have to get that negotiation process where the bank is okay with paying X amount of dollars every month. So GreenPath did a good job in trying to meet the needs of the customer while at the same time, being able to do what they’re allowed to do by way of having to deal with the bank.

The cost was also fair and the quality was definitely worth the money. The service definitely helped me. Even in getting all of my debt paid off and getting married, I spoke with a consultant who helped me get everything finalized. They also offered services for future banking, getting our budget and paying what was lined up for me and my future wife. So the outcome, or the juice, is worth the squeeze. I’m going into a marriage consumer debt-free. The only things I have are student loan debts because I went to law school. That’s all I am carrying with me and GreenPath helped me do that.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

Dear Joshua,

Yes, with PNC bank, they do require a hand-signed release in order to process a proposal. This can make the initial process with PNC a little laborious, we understand. This is simply the policy that PNC has.

Additionally, it is often the case that the first few weeks of the program are the toughest. However, I am glad that we were able to get all the creases ironed out in the end. I am very sorry for the difficulties in the interim.

I am happy that it was an overall positive experience. Going into marriage with no consumer debt is a huge accomplishment and you are due a huge congratulations on that!

I wish you the very best going forward! Please know that we are here to help should the need arise in the future.

I was making all my payments on time on everything but I was using all my income for that and didn’t have anything left. I was talking to a credit union person when I was making a payment and she suggested I get GreenPath's services. She told me a lot of her members use them. So I called them and the enrollment was very easy. Somebody gave me a call in the evening and we went through everything. She asked me everything that I owed and let me know that all the credit cards that I had would be stopped, which I understood.

GreenPath provided me with consolidation services. They called all my creditors, stopped the interest from piling up, then took payments out of my paycheck every two weeks and paid my bills. I didn’t have to worry about anything. And the program made me debt-free. My rep was wonderful and she gave me recommendations on who to contact to do my taxes as well as other references that would help me. Also, everybody was really friendly. Any time I called customer service, everyone was knowledgeable and gave me the right answers.

Working with GreenPath was life changing. They were very easy to work with and with them, you will no longer be stressed. They do everything for you and you just have to provide them what checks you have as far as debts go and they take it on from there. Working with them also made me realize that I cannot be opening credit cards everywhere.

I wanted to consolidate some credit cards that I have and a friend recommended me to GreenPath. It was four years ago when I enrolled. I had an interview and we went over the amount that I was paying for so they can come up with a plan. The enrollment process was simple and the customer service skill of the rep that I worked with was really good. GreenPath helps me pay my credit cards and every time I call, they help me right away and they answer the questions I have. The program has worked really good. If you have some debts, GreenPath is a really good way to consolidate them and get the help that you need. They went over my expenses to see how much I would be able to pay a month. I had an auto payment directly deposited and the cost was great. Everybody was very knowledgeable in what they were doing. It was always excellent service with them.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

I was referred to GreenPath by my credit union and initially things seemed wonderful. I paid the 50 fee to begin but then was contacted by email explaining that another 50 fee would need to be paid or some of my creditors would not be paid. Ok, so I paid the additional 50.00 bucks thinking things would be good from that point. A 2 months later I am receiving notices from my creditors explaining that payment has not been made. I contact GreenPath who explain that, "Oh you have to continue making your payments in addition to paying through GreenPath to avoid fees." This of course was NOT explained to me in the beginning and now I have so many fees. Things are worse than when I began.

This company is 100% responsible for this error and I am so upset the rep is not required to explain things more thoroughly when people come to this company because they truly need help. I called today and requested to cancel the service because I truly believe I am better off. As many positive reviews I have seen for this company I can honestly say I am very disappointed.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

Hello Martyia,

Thank you so much for your review. Although we do not like to hear poor experiences, we do take them very seriously in order to coach our staff appropriately so we can be sure things like this do not happen. You should not be feeling this way, especially when you came to us for relief. I am so sorry this was your experience.

You are absolutely correct, you should have understood these expectations from the beginning. I reviewed your account and it appears the fees were not calculated into your initial deposit - this is completely our error. Additionally, it is required for our staff to explain that until a creditor accepts a proposal, paying the difference in payment is important if you are up to date and do not want to fall behind. It is not that a double payment is needed, it is that if a creditor was requiring $30 per month, and we are offering $20 per month, until the proposal is accepted, you may want to pay the extra $10 per month until they offer the concession of a reduced payment. If someone is already behind on their debts, this sometimes does not matter as much. Some creditors will actually reage the account (where it is brought up to date and fees are not charged) but this really depends on the creditor.

Either way, this should have all been explained to you and I am sorry to hear it was not. Please feel free to contact me directly. I am happy to help in anything you might need - perhaps a credit report review or perhaps we can discuss this situation further to help you.

Four years ago, I did some research and saw some good reviews for GreenPath. The enrollment process was easy and helpful. The first rep who set my account up was really helpful and walked me through the process. I thought she was great. Thereafter, whenever I talked to people throughout the years, they were all very helpful. They gave me guidance and helped me put together a reasonable payment amount. They asked me a lot of questions about where I could make cuts so that we can have more money go towards the payment. Also, they talked to me about different things in my budget that they felt were unnecessary or considered luxuries. Their team also helped lower the interest rates and that was the big thing. It didn't necessarily reduce how much I was paying each month, but that much more of my money was going to the balance rather than just paying interest.

GreenPath has a good system so anybody can go in the computer and pull up your file and you don't have to talk to a specific person. However, for the first three years that I was with them, it was a little frustrating that you had to call in and talk to somebody. Still, in the last six months, they've switched over to a new portal and I was really impressed with it. They've made it better by making my account more accessible online and you can now go in and see how much money you still owe.

Dear Dawn,

THANK YOU for your feedback on our Portal. We have worked hard on it and all with the purpose of trying to create a better, more streamlined client experience. My auntie passed away and none of my family wanted to take her kids, so I took her kids on top of my own kid. That was a real struggle in my life. I tried with a hardship program and it would seem that I never qualified. I looked into debt consolidation knowing that two of my bills ran into collection. GreenPath took a couple of my cards and calculated everything. I was with them for almost two years and I just paid the last one last month. All of the reps that I talked to in these last two years were amazing. They always tried to work with me. They understood my situation, and they went right in and helped. Even when I didn't give them statements, they showed that all the bills were taken care of. They helped me a lot in times of need and now my credit score is going up.

I went to my bank and I was trying to do a debt consolidation, and they referred me to Greenpath. I called and Greenpath got my information about my debts and set up a payment arrangement. I worked with a lot of reps, but the main one that I worked with helped me get things set up. When I was short of money, they helped me push back sometimes with the payment and that helped me out a lot. Now I’m debt free and and working with them has brought my credit score up. Everything worked out well and the experience was great.

I had a lot of debt and I needed to fix my credit fast because I was trying to buy a home, and that was keeping me back. I asked GreenPath if they could help me pay off the debt that I have with all these different collectors, and they put them all together and I paid a monthly payment, and it was distributed to every one of them. GreenPath's reps were awesome. Every time I called, they were polite. They answered any questions I had, they would check up on me, and they would send me anything that I requested. There was only one time that some guy had a sour attitude, but overall, everybody was very helpful.

I liked the process but then the end was a bummer because I thought I was done. I called and checked up on it to see if I was done, and I was told multiple times that I was. It was fantastic and I was happy. But I checked my credit from Credit Karma and it still showed that I had two collectors still on my credit. So, I waited, and then they were still there. They stopped distributing my payments to one of them. And then, they said they overlooked one, so I still had payments on it. So, I wasn’t done. And no one got back to me or notified me. Whoever is handling the case, I wish they would treat it like their own and make sure they had double looked if necessary to avoid situations like I had. Other than that, I recommended GreenPath to many people.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

Hello David,

Thank you so much for your glowing review! We are so pleased to have been able to help you along on your journey.

When a debt is marked in our system as being paid off, we send a notification out to our clients, advising that you call your creditor to ensure that you have no outstanding balance. This should have been clearly communicated to you and if it was not, I am very sorry for it.

It seems like there was a happy ending, however, and I am truly glad for that. Our doors are always open if you feel you need additional advice in the future.

Very best wishes to you,

My debt was not being paid off fast enough for me. I heard of Greenpath through our credit union and the reps were very pleasant to talk to and very helpful. The program took five years but I'm done now. They did well, and I would use them again if I need to.

GreenPath's program was very good according to my budget, so I could afford to make the payment. They got me a very good rate that I couldn’t get otherwise to be able to consolidate the debt. The rep was very helpful because I put two cards on the plan and then I continued with one. One time when they tried to get the money from the bank, it was not available, but the card allowed me to continue paying at the same rate that I was with GreenPath. So I finished two cards which was really good. The program is done and I feel good. I can use that money to pay something else. I'm glad that I finished the program and I don’t owe any money. I will recommend them and if I need to put another card on the system, I will call them.

I was in debt with a lot of credit cards and a house payment ten years ago. I also had my kids going to college. I got referred by a friend of mine to GreenPath. The enrollment process was smooth. I worked with this lady who was nice. Then, the GreenPath reps talked to the credit people. They helped out a lot and took us out of debt. I paid my house off and paid most of my cards. One of my kids already finished college. If I see anybody having problems, I would recommend GreenPath.

If you are deep in debt, GreenPath can really help and having them takes all of the stress away from the situation. With a reduction in wages, I sought out their services. They came as a referral from Logix Credit Union and their enrollment process was very easy. The representatives I worked with were reachable and easy to communicate with as well. I was very comfortable working with them. I had to provide statements from my creditors in the first couple of months but I had so many debt creditors and I didn’t realize I had to send that many statements every month for a couple of months. Then they withdrew money from my account in a biweekly basis. The cost of their service was very high but working with them was very beneficial for me and my family. It got rid of my debt in a much faster time than I could’ve done myself.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

Hi Dennis,

Thank you so much for your feedback, and thank you to your credit union for the referral.

I’m sorry that our monthly fee was difficult for you to pay. We do have a fee cap of $75 for the state of Massachusetts, meaning that that is the maximum monthly amount you would be paying to GreenPath for administration. We try to keep our fees as low as we can in order to make the program as affordable as possible to many people.

I am very pleased that you were able to pay off your debt – congratulations to you! That is no small feat and it takes a lot of hard work. I am glad that we were able to assist you when you were going through financial difficulty.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any future questions or concerns.

GreenPath saved my life. I had a crazy credit card debt and I couldn't keep up with the bills. I was getting late fees and I was shoveling it against the tide. I was getting absolutely nowhere. I had been seeing all kinds of debt consolidation things on television but Chase Bank told me that they weren't very reputable. Sometimes, they would take the money and not pay off the bills, and then I'd be in more trouble than where I was. I knew that Chase Bank, wanting to get their money, was going to lead me in the right direction. They gave me several names, but GreenPath was the first one that I called.

I spoke with Angel and that's exactly what she was. She sat there and we figured out my budget and how much I was going to be able to pay without it really hurting financially. Then I was looking at what I was trying to pay to get these credit card bills paid off. She told me how they would try to get the credit card companies with lower interest rates, which they did. The enrollment process was very easy. For the first six months, I had to send in different papers. I did the things that they told me that I had to do. They told me not to open up any new credit cards because credit cards can get me into trouble. I'm one of those people that like immediate gratification and sometimes, it just doesn't work that way. I've learned to live within a budget now and it seems like everything has just gone the right way with me.

GreenPath put me on a payment plan that I was able to keep up with. It was quite a bit of money being taken out and I was having $180 a week taken out of me. But they had put me on a five-year plan, which I was able to keep up with. I had a total of 5,000 left, and I went and got myself a personal loan to finish paying off these loans once and for all. It hasn't even been four years that I've been on the program, and now I'm paid off. It was a big chunk of change to have to be putting debt out of you, but I found a solution to a problem that I just couldn't find on my own.

Even when I was gonna try paying off the rest of my bill, I talked with one of the counselors over at GreenPath. I was saying that I was gonna try taking some of my money out from my retirement fund and pay them off. The girl strongly suggested not to. To me, GreenPath has always given me very good guidance. A couple of times before when I was going on a vacation, I asked them if I could skip a payment so that I could have a little extra cash for my vacations. They were always very good about stuff like that and I've never had a problem with it.

Now my credit score has come up quite a bit. A year ago this past March, my car needed to be replaced, and I was able to get it without a cosigner. I'm learning to budget my money a lot better, and it's a little bit harder for me because since I began this program, my pay went from being paid weekly to biweekly. GreenPath is a lifesaving business. I highly recommend this company for anybody who's ever in a situation like I was.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

GreenPath is awesome and I really appreciated it. I had a debt level that I thought was too much and I wanted help managing it. GreenPath was recommended by a friend and I heard good things about them. I went and talk to them in person and they seemed really helpful. Their reps were very helpful in the beginning in letting me know what information they needed and in explaining the details of things and setting it all up.

Once it was all set up, it worked very smoothly the whole time and it was just one payment to them. I was most impressed that they really sat down with me one-to-one and went through everything. They kept sending me notices of what was going on via email at times. They told me that they couldn't reduce the interest rate with a couple of credit cards 'cause the interest rate was good and that I might as well hold on to those and work on those myself. But they took a lot of the other debts and were able to reduce the interest rates, which makes a huge difference. They spoke with different creditors and they were able to identify from them if they would be willing to reduce the interest rates and that kind of allowed them to calculate what my debt was gonna be going forward.

They looked at what I was typically paying on all of my cards and they basically said, "Let's just say we're all that you were paying but now, you're gonna pay it to us pretty narrowed together." So, it didn't really feel like an increase in what I was paying. But that amount allowed them to reduce the debt faster. They targeted one creditor whenever I pay one thing off, and then they target another one to increase the focus on that one. So it was really helpful. I don't feel like I could do that myself and it's good to have someone in my corner.

The stuff that I was responsible for, the interest rates were 8%, which was low, so it wasn't eating me up. I stayed away from those cards and I did not use them. I cut them up and that was very helpful. GreenPath helped interject the discipline and focus on doing that. Working with GreenPath has reduced my stress. I just had to make one payment and everything was taken care of. I paid them down in different ways and I can see that what they took over and got paid off. I referred my daughter to them.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

Hi Catherine,

GreenPath was very easy to work with. They were recommended by USAA and I used them for debt consolidation. Their program worked very well and during the initial set up, we went through virtually all my finances and everything to set up what would be an affordable payment plan for me. When I called them a few times to check upon the program and see how far along I was, I never had a problem dealing with their reps. Their employees were very polite and very courteous. They were also always very receptive and easy to talk to. Sometimes they had to take a couple of minutes to look something up or call another company like one of the banks, but they’ve done a great job.

The cost of their service was pretty good as well. It’d be hard to have the cost at less than what they charged and provide the telephone support with reps able to answer the phones. All in all, working with GreenPath made things easier to simply make one payment that came out of my checking account right as I received my pay. So, it made getting out of debt a lot easier and I would recommend them.

I started my own business and did that for three years. I made some money but lost the money too and had a certain amount of money on credit card debts. They were out on fairly high rates and I felt that if I could consolidate them, I would be able to more effectively get them paid down and done away with. GreenPath seemed like a good one when I looked at a few different companies online.

There were only two times where I got in contact with the person from GreenPath that I was working with at the beginning. Then there was at least a three-year period of time where I didn't interact with them at all. It was just automatically coming out and things were down and everything was working as it should be. I was getting monthly updates and I could see what was happening. Then in the last few months, I wasn't getting those updates anymore. There was a change to the system and I just assumed everything was going quite to the end. And I finally called up and asked what was going on. I got a new password and I was able to get on and check it. But everything was going as normal anyway.

I’ve completed the process now. It was a long process that took five years, but it was pretty good the way it was. Things moved on as expected so there was no reason to have more interaction than the times that I got. Though if I had been more actively involved in the process, there would be more active feedback. Also, I had a bit of a say on what the payment plan would be. And then near the end, it was increased to speed up the process a bit and. Though I was concerned that might change things a little, it seemed to work really well.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

Hi Darren,

Thank you for your feedback! I’m sorry you weren’t made aware of the change to our system, but I am very glad to hear that it all ended up going so smoothly. Although we love hearing from our clients, if lack of communication indicates that everything is going as it should, I suppose that is a good thing!

Congratulations on getting through the program – that really is a big achievement! Please reach out to us in the future if you have any more questions or concerns.

I was going through a divorce and needed to get a grip on a lot of my bills. Enrolling with GreenPath, I just had to get all my information together and consult with the agent. They were great and made sure they were available to me every time I had a question. The payment schedule early on depended on if payments were coming out three times a month. They even helped me a couple of times by not getting more money taken out a particular week and push it back. But over the last couple of years, I didn't ask for that. Now, I’m finished with the program and I feel pretty good. I might file them again and would recommend GreenPath.

I was being charged for expenses that I hadn't spent, and rather than fighting each one, I went to GreenPath and they helped me to pay them off. There were five or six credit cards. The process was rather simple. If it had been at all complicated I think I'd have backed off, but it was not and it was very positive. I have already finished the program and have gotten one invoice or bill after they had told me I was finished and they cleared it up. It was almost like we were on a phone call and they cleared it for me. They were nothing but terrific and all I can do is give them A+.

I found a GreenPath brochure at the bank, asked the lady there and she said that they were credible. I went with them for a way of managing to make all my payments. The rep that worked with me was very nice and helpful. GreenPath collected all the data from all the creditors and then gave me a contract that was easy to understand. It's very straightforward how the service works and it was pretty easy. They also have a website that makes it easy to stay in track of everything that's going on all the time. I'm done with the program and it's excellent. I tell people all the time to sign up for GreenPath 'cause it's not hard to do. It's hard to get through it when you're doing it, but once you're done, it's worth it.

I was getting in the hole and I couldn't get out. GreenPath was recommended to me and the enrollment was pretty quick. I just talked to someone over the phone and told them how much I needed and what my debts were. I also talked to different people each time I called in to make a deposit and their reps were very nice and understanding. It didn't feel like I was being judged. However, I had difficulties with the payment plan. I had to rob Peter to pay Paul. It was really high initially and then as I paid off, I got them to lower it down a little bit. But, I've paid off a lot of debts. It took a while but I got there and I feel a lot better. It removed a lot of stress from me.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

Hi Gloria,

I’m sorry the program was difficult for you in the beginning. Most people find the first months to be the hardest. Unfortunately, high monthly payment is sometimes unavoidable, but we do try our hardest to make the program affordable to those who need it. In the end, I am so happy to hear that everything worked out for you and that you felt our staff treated you well. I wish you the best going forward, and please know that you can get in touch with us with further questions or concerns in the future.

I needed debt consolidation services. I searched online and I have a family member that referred GreenPath to me, so I went with them. We went over the credit cards that I was looking to consolidate, my income, and what my monthly payments would be. Then they worked out the rest. They figured out what would be a comfortable payment plan to work on that would not seriously impact my quality of life or my financial goals. They took all those things into consideration and worked out the plan that they did for me. So the process was very easy and they helped me get out of debt. Working with them took all of the pressure or the stress out of it for trying to achieve that goal. The rep I worked with was also very informative, very helpful, and made the whole process very seamless. I have recommended them to somebody else.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

Hi Kevin,

We really appreciate the referral from your family member and we’re so glad that we gave you a positive enough experience that you decided to recommend someone else to us. Thank you!

I wanted to consolidate debt and pay it down. GreenPath was recommended to me. I got their debt consolidation service and the enrollment process was pretty easy. My interactions with the GreenPath reps have been pretty seamless. The money comes out of the account and they took care of everything. The quality of the product is excellent and I'm done with the program. My overall experience was pretty good and I highly recommend GreenPath Financial Wellness.

I had a lot of credit card debt and GreenPath was recommended to me by Bank of America. I called them and they had some forms to gather information to help me come up with a plan to pay off the debt. They were pretty flexible in terms of putting together something that was semi-affordable and helped me through the process of figuring out how much I could afford based upon my expenses and income. The payment plan they set up for me was good and they helped me to deal with certain situations if I had to delay a payment for a few days or skip a payment. I would also call their customer service number when I have the time and generally their reps were very helpful. All in all, working with them was good way to get out of a bad situation.

My debt was getting out of hand. I went online, read the reviews, did some research, and ran across GreenPath. Enrolling with them was simple. I contacted them, sent them all my information from all my creditors, and they pretty much did everything else. As long as they had all my documentation in order, it was easy for them. I did an auto-pay once a month which was also easy to set up and they helped me get the interest and everything else taken care of with all the creditors. I tried to get in touch with GreenPath to see if they could do anything to get my monthly payments reduced any they couldn’t. But that was because I created the debt. Luckily, I had a decent job where I was able to pay that debt each month without too much of a burden.

So far, I have one creditor with whom I may have a $2 balance with that I’m paying off. My experience with GreenPath has been great overall and everyone I spoke to was helpful. I generally call on different occasions and whichever operator I was talking to was knowledgeable, answered my questions, and made me feel confident in them.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

Hi Derrick,

It’s so important to us to inspire confidence in our clients, so that makes me very glad to hear!

We do try our best to get as low of payments as possible for our clients, and I’m sorry we weren’t able to help you with that. As you said, sometimes the debt is just too much. But I am happy that the program has worked out for you anyway, in spite of that.

We do strive to keep the process simple and our representatives are quite knowledgeable, so I’m glad you had those experiences with us. Please never hesitate to reach out to us with any questions!

I needed to get things cleared up and people told us that GreenPath is good. The enrollment process was not particularly lengthy but it was adequate. We didn't talk to the representatives an awful lot but they were fine and they were able to answer if there was a question, which was good. The cost of the service was also fine. GreenPath has helped us get everything put together and then taken care of. They should keep doing what they're doing because it is very helpful. And others should check into it very carefully because they seem to be reliable.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

Hi Martha,

Thank you so much for being a client with GreenPath. It is a goal of ours to keep to a minimum the length of time it takes the initial enrollment to get off the ground. I loved your comment that we should keep doing what we’re going – we absolutely will! It’s our mission to help as many people as we can and we pride ourselves in our high ratings. GreenPath helped clear up my credit card debt and it's always been positive with them. Everybody from this company has always been friendly also. Their reps have been very patient and concerned. Whenever I've had questions or if there was a dispute, they would take care of it right away. I started five years ago and the enrollment went great. They were in McAllen, Texas back then and then went to Harlingen. They settled my debt and told me not to use any more credit. I sent them one payment that was more affordable and they dispersed it as needed. The cost was very little too--around $30 a month. Everything has been great and I'm debt-free now. GreenPath is an excellent way to help people in a certain situation get back on to the right track.

GreenPath did consolidating services for me to pay off a debt I have. They have a partnership with my banking institution and they were recommended to me by my bank. Also, we got free services from them and the enrolment process was simple. I talked about my finances with one of their consultants and and what I ultimately wanted to do with the account, and then we’ve set up some arrangements. They gave an awesome time and I'd probably complete the program in a year and a half. They also set up a really good payment plan. The representatives are very pleasant with us and I don’t even have to call them too much at all. They took care of everything, and if there was a issue, then I got a phone call about it. But it was very few and far in between. It was like, “Oh, we got a different lender over here. Now, we need just some updated signatures from you, sign everything.” Working with GreenPath made my life simpler and I didn’t have to worry.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

Hi Noah,

I had $40,000 in debt from my divorce and it's a significant amount. I looked into debt consolidation and went with Greenpath since my bank uses them. Then I worked with one person who was very accommodating. I gave Greenpath all my bills and they told me what the debtee could take and what my monthly bill would be. The money came out and everything got paid like it was supposed to, and I was able to complete the program. I didn’t have to worry about making sure I made the payments and the agreements were already taken care of, so I didn’t have to stress about that and it was comforting knowing that all that stuff was being paid.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

Hi Valerie,

First, let me say CONGRATULATIONS on paying your debt! It takes a lot of effort and sacrifice to complete a program - how AMAZING for you. We're glad that we went with GreenPath. We had to get all of our bills together and we were on a telephone call with them and they put in a couple of hours' time to get us all set up. After that, everything was done through email. They let us know what was going on every month. The payment plan they set up was doable because it was based on what we owed, how long we wanted to be in, and what we could afford. And if there was an issue with income changing, all we had to do was let them know and things could be adjusted. Even though we didn't need to do that, we knew that it was an option so it wasn't frightening.

GreenPath did what they said they were gonna do. There was one of the bills that the debtor didn't accept, but they still paid it for us. It was something that they maintained for us and we didn't have to deal with that one. The cost was perfect and equal to the service they provided. The program did what it was supposed to do and they were able to get all of our stuff paid off. Now we don't have it coming out of our account every week anymore. We were comfortable working with GreenPath. They were very nice people and easy to work with. Moreover, nobody made us feel bad about having debt. We had a very positive experience with them.

I was in a motorcycle accident and my friend Jessica set up GreenPath for me. GreenPath was nice and every time I called, they gave great service. They helped in every way and it was a good way to go. All the bills were in default and GreenPath helped save my credit, so I’m happy about that. I got my bills paid off and I never had any worries. The cost of the program was excellent as well. I always paid GreenPath every month and it went great.

I had a large debt with three credit cards, and GreenPath contacted the creditors and managed a better payment plan for me. They consolidated the amounts I owed the creditors and that figured in how much money I would be able to pay per period or per month at that time. They put something that I was able to manage and they would, in turn, disburse the money to the creditors. Those three large debts have been paid off. The access by telephone and by e-mail as well as the updates that I periodically got was ideal. And anyone who I spoke with at GreenPath was very knowledgeable and skilled in communication. It gave me a very reassured feeling that I was taking the right course of action.

GreenPath's service cost was well worth the money. It wasn’t a terrible amount and it was built into the plan. It was explained to me quite carefully and I felt very assured that this was gonna work for me even with that additional service. I was able to correct quite a financial mess that occurred and I feel like I’m back on track. It feels redeeming to have an agency like GreenPath to help me. I would recommend them many times over.

I was behind on credit card and medical debt. I had paid for my daughter’s wedding dress, all her jewelry and three of the bridesmaids' dresses. I thought I could handle the credit card debt but I got sick and was in the hospital. I ended up owing about $7000 and I have a limited income and I’m on retirement. GreenPath helped me pay that off in four years. I’m so proud of myself and I’m so glad they were there to help me. Their reps were so nice to me. Everybody was always cheerful and if I was not working and was going to be a couple of weeks late, they’d let me do that once in a while. The payment plan was very reasonable because I was trying to pay 12 different places and getting late fees, and it worked out so much better for me. I refer GreenPath to anybody that needs help.

I joined the program in 2014 with a baby on the way and credit card debt from a time of financial hardship hanging over my head. Even though I was able to make the payments I was getting more and more interest piled on. I contacted GreenPath and they helped me navigate a lump sum payment to get all my accounts sorted. The interest stopped accruing and finally debts were getting paid off! Though it took a while we finally paid off all our debts on the program and our credit was in the clear!

Any time I had to contact GreenPath I was shown professionalism and given the help I needed/requested. I never felt judged or talked down to. They were always helpful. Take negative reviews with a grain of salt, when something doesn't work out for one person, they lash out at the company. I never in the 3 years I was on the program had a problem and any issues were given strict attention and resolved. I'll hopefully not need them again, but would highly recommend to anyone who needs financial help!

We incurred debt over time with credit cards and stuff. So, we consolidated with GreenPath. In the beginning, the reps wanted a list of all of the stuff that we were trying to consolidate. They also got the income we had and what we were looking at overall as bills with the family so that they wouldn’t set something that we couldn't reach. They made it realistic. We went back and forth a couple of times on that just working some numbers, and then we finalized everything. It was quick. If we started with the phone conversation on a Monday, everything would be done within a week.

We had bi-weekly payments and can't get out, so they contacted all the companies and got things to a buyout situation. They made the scores and it worked out phenomenally. The experience from top to bottom was awesome. When you’re in a tough spot it’s hard to get out of and they made it as painless as possible. They really worked with us and did a great job. Also, the cost was phenomenal. I had a couple people at work that were in the same situation, and I referred GreenPath to them. I will refer people that have similar problems and need to get out to them every time.

We were getting behind our bills and GreenPath was suggested by our Credit Union at that time. The process went flawlessly. They were always helpful when I needed that much money and they took care of everything that I needed to be taken care of. They paid my bills that were past due. And then, they talked to the creditors about the debt and they set up a payment plan with them. The program was the biggest thing that had ever happened to us as far as setting us up financially and I’m very grateful for their services.

I have a high interest rate on my credit cards. GreenPath took five of them and negotiated on lower interest rate. They set payment and they debited it directly from my bank account. When I was setting it up in the beginning, I called them to make sure I had all the right contact information for the creditors when I was paying it off. Their reps were helpful and were good at answering questions. They would call me back when I called them and left a message. I also called about the payment plan and they told me that it would be easier if I contacted my own creditors and let them know. I did that, and GreenPath was helpful with the information to the banks because I had lost a lot of that during the year.

I was on the program for a year and a half and I paid all the debts early. I went and paid the debtors individually and then they contacted GreenPath that they have been closed out. Working with GreenPath has helped maintain the increase in interest rate until we pay everything off. They helped me not stress about interest rates. I would recommend them. They are a positive way to get yourself back on track and they deliver what they advertise.

I've used GreenPath two different times. The first time was fine while the second time was very disappointing. GreenPath was recommended by the bank and it was supposed to be non-profit, but it did not turn out being that. Sometimes their decisions were not what they should have been. The only thing they did was take my money and pay my bills. There was no other program that they offered. The enrollment process was fine, but there were too many people’s fingers in the pie when trying to get a hold of them. I call one rep and they tell me one thing. I call another rep the next time and it hasn’t been done because it can’t be done and the person doesn’t realize what he or she was doing. I got frustrated. There were too many representatives but the left hand didn’t know what the right hand was doing.

I called and whoever answered the phone dealt with it. That was fine but there was no continuity. They took some notes but not everything was in the notes. They told me they were going to do something but it was not followed through. It would have been better if there was more continuity. They have a representative and they have a certain number of cases. But when I got whoever answered the phone, they didn’t have any idea what was going on. They can’t figure out in five minutes what the whole program was. If they have certain individuals in charge of certain accounts, it would have worked so much easier, but when they got rid of the branch offices so it really made it bad. I eventually paid off the bills, but that was it. I have been done for over a month. I won’t choose them again if the situation occurs and I would tell others to go to a different company.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

Hello Sally,

Thank you so much for taking the time to submit a review. I am so sad to hear you felt the service declined from your first encounter with us to the second. This is certainly not what we want for you or any client. I whole heartedly agree that it is not okay and there are things on which we can improve.

To your concern, the largest benefit of a debt management program is to reduce interest rates and lower monthly payments so that they are affordable and that more money goes to the balance as opposed to interest. This saves a lot of money in the long run and this is what we want for our clients!

To your second and third concern, we are a non-profit which does not mean there are never any fees - I certainly see why that is confusing. Many of our services and counseling are free of charge although some services do have fees. We do offer many types of counseling and programs aside from the debt management program such as student loan counseling, reverse mortgage counseling, bankruptcy counseling, housing counseling, etc. It is because we work to offer so many different things to our clients in order to help them with financial wellness we found the need eventually to streamline and have full departments that handle clients. Each department has their own function and purpose so they are "experts" in that particular area. I do know losing that personal touch comes with drawbacks. I used to work in a field office and loved being on a first name basis with clients. We have continuously worked to find ways to create that personal touch and be sure our clients feel welcomed and supported by us. I would absolutely love to take the time to speak with you more about your ideas to further benefit and help clients such as yourself. Please feel free to contact me so we can work to improve.

Good luck to you and thank you so much.

Sincerely,
Colleen

I am very upset with GreenPath. I just found out today from the credit union I go to GreenPath has not been paying any of my bills. Nobody even knows where the payments are going!!! I started with this company in November and they seemed pretty good, can't get a hold of them been trying for days, I can't even get into my portal account!!! I recommended GreenPath to a few people and told people how good they were... I want my money back and I will just pay them myself!!! I will not tolerate this kind of treatment. I am a customer but they certainly don't treat me like one. They treat you so polite kind and say they will be with you all the way. Well didn't happen!!! That's how they reel you in! I will never ever deal with a company like this again. Nothing but liars and thieves.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response

Hello Nicole,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Your feedback allows us to make changes to better help our clients. I genuinely apologize for your frustration as we do not want any of our clients to feel this way. It is not okay.

I did review your account. Upon review I see you had two collection accounts with our program. The payments were all sent as agreed upon and with the information you provided us. We called and verified this with the collection agencies and I am happy to send statements showing the same. It would be illegal for us to do anything with your funds but what we agreed upon- which is to pay your creditors. The issue that sometimes happens with collection accounts is that they can switch hands - either back to the original creditor or sometimes to a new collection agency. We have no way of knowing this unless you send statements to us showing these changes (which should be sent to you in the mail by the creditor or you would be notified by phone). I apologize that this situation was so confusing and frustrating. It is a Quality requirement that our staff explain what can happen with collection accounts and if this was missed or not explained to you- this is our error and I will work to rectify it.

In terms of our hold times - you are right. We have recently transitioned our call center software and this came with unforeseen issues that created longer wait times for our clients. We deeply regret this. I do understand that taking the time out of a busy day to call and try to handle something you should not even have to stress over is awful. Not being able to get a hold of us is not right. I am so sorry. As well with our portal, we have worked really hard to innovate and find new technology to better service our clients so handling their program is more easily done - unfortunately new thins always come with learning experiences and we continue to work to improve.

We sincerely apologize and wish you the best.

GreenPath getting lots of clients and no employees to cover. Hard to connect to an agent. Be prepared to wait hours or days to have a question answered once you sign up. Also follow your account closely. I noticed a change in my debt settlement in favor of GreenPath. When I questioned them they gave a ridiculous response about how it’s not accurate and then it magically got adjusted to the right amount I owed my creditors. Sign up with caution knowing you will have zero customer service support and suspicious account activity.

GreenPath Financial Wellness response
Hello Dan,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. It is important we receive feedback so we can appropriately make changes to improve our services. I am genuinely sorry for your frustration as I do not think any client of ours should walk away feeling this way. It is not okay.

You are right, our customer service has been slower lately. We recently transitioned our call center software and this came with unexpected issues that resulted in longer wait times. We have learned from this experience and are deeply regretful our clients were not met with timely service. I do understand how busy a day can be and having to spend time on hold to take care of a concern is incredibly frustrating. This is certainly not what we want for you.

As to your other concerns, I did review your account. The balance information we have for your debts is simply from your initial statement and checkpoints we have as your program progresses. Our system takes the initial balance provided and adjusts the balance using the APR and subtracting payments made. This may be a reason the portal shows differently from your statements. In the case we do find there is a balance concern or discrepancy, we generally contact the creditor to verify the amount owed. This is procedure at the time a debt is to be paid in full, we contact to verify the amount needed to pay a debt in full (as it can change if the debt is not paid by the next point interest accumulates). Likewise, our system alerts us of a debt is negatively amortizing (balance increasing) as this is against our goal and could ultimately violate compliance requirements if the situation were not to be remedied. I apologize if this information was not made clear to you. We work to provide coaching and development to our staff to be sure everything you need to know is communicated properly.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to allow us to work to create a better client experience. Good luck to you.

Sincerely,
Colleen

I had a hard time managing the debt I had accumulated. I found GreenPath online and they seemed like a good option. So, I tried them out to see what happens. The enrollment was super easy. Someone walked with me through the entire thing. Whenever I call them, there was usually someone there. If there wasn't, they called back. There was one time when I waited the whole day and there were times when I waited a few minutes to receive a response after I left a message. Other than that, they were really great at helping out. They sat down with me and we came up with a budget of what I could pay, and then they took it from there. Also, the cost of the service was great. They contacted all the creditors and worked out an amount. GreenPath has impacted my life greatly. My credit score is up and I'm about 99% done. I pretty much paid off all the debt that I had originally. I don’t have to worry about all that debt hanging over me anymore.

The initial consultation and registration went well. The associates seemed very professional. The problem came three months later when I was told our credit card was three months behind. After doing more research, our credit union finally determined that Greenpath had been sending the payments to a different institution. We didn't even have an account where they were sending my money!! And they were charging us $50 per month!! And my credit score was going downhill!! The reason we enrolled in the first place was to save our credit while we paid off the balances. The worst part is that I had called Greenpath multiple times, only to be assured everything was fine. My creditor was the one who figured out the issue.

Fortunately, Greenpath did fix the issue, as far as I could tell. But to this day, I cannot get the portal to work! I cannot even check my Greenpath statements. I just look at my credit card statements and make sure they received the correct amount. Recently, I was able to pay off both of my creditors due to a small windfall. I called Greenpath to cancel the automatic withdrawals. It took me two days to reach them. There was a recording that due to large call volumes, they could not take my call. Click. I finally reached them after two days of trying. They gave me info to log onto a portal. When I tried to use it, I kept getting a warning that it was not a secure site! So I called again, got click again.

Finally reached them the next day. They agreed to stop the withdrawals, but said they require a sort of "exit interview" by phone. They haven't called me yet, but they sent an email. The email is asking me to agree to a monthly bank account WITHDRAWALS! I'm sure they sent me the enrollment process instead of the exit process. Either they're crooked or they're incapable. I'm not sure which. Hopefully they don't withdraw money tomorrow!!

Hello Jill,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share you experience, we need feedback such as yours to continue to work to improve so no client of ours should feel the way you do. It is not right and I whole-heartedly agree with you that some things need to improve. I genuinely and sincerely apologize for your frustrations. We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns:

I am happy to hear you were pleased with your initial assessment with us. The beginning of a program is certainly a time of acclimation and it can take some time to get things in place. We require our Experts to explain during the first session that sometimes the credit score can dip temporarily based on factors such as potentially closing cards or that sending the difference between minimum monthly payment and the reduced program payment can be helpful until proposals are accepted. It depends on individual situation so can vary. Either way, the program is designed for long run credit improvement by reducing your utilization percentage over time and paying off your debt as well as paying on time monthly payments (the two largest factors of a credit score).I apologize if these things were not explained in a way that was heard. I do see there was a creditor concern earlier in the program and that we had set everything up according to your statement provided, it seemed there was an account number change but not an incorrect institution. I am happy to hear that was eventually resolved and sometimes it takes both of us to fix those things.

In terms of the portal, this was a new system we rolled out to better assist our clients with visibility into their program so they could easily find information and save themselves a phone call. While we did a large amount of pre-work and used our clients as a feedback loop, this was a new venture and as in anything new, it was also a learning experience and we continue to work to improve this technology. New technology was also the reason for recently long wait times - we recently switched our call center software and this created issues we had not anticipated. Nonetheless, your experience was not what we want and I am truly sorry. We are working every day to provide better service and technology to our clients. What you feel, how you experience our program, our staff, and our technology is incredibly important to us.

Lastly, CONGRATULATIONS on paying off your debt. We are so pleased to hear this and know it must be a weight off your shoulders! We wish you nothing but the best.

Sincerely,
Colleen

I had mega debt and people were calling me. Because I was a member of Franklin Mint Credit Union GreenPath was a free service for me so I took advantage of it. I was trying to figure out how to get out of debt and GreenPath could take care of the creditors for me. I just walked in there and talked to someone at GreenPath and they walked me through what I was going to do. I sat down, gave them a list of all my debts and I told them how much they could take out a month. We started with twice a month and they took that much out and worked with paying off one debt after another. It was like a consolidation but I don’t think they negotiated the price down because I paid the full price.

Some of the weeks that the payment fell on would have made it hard because it fell with my car insurance. So I told them to split the payment until they’ve taken out once a month and instead of being $148 I told them to take out $145 which was a little more than what they were taking out twice a month. Overall, whatever they took out a month we split it up so it made it easier for me financially to handle it. And then there were a few times where I needed a break, and if they could suspend a payment they did or only took out partial to help me out. GreenPath worked with me and I paid off $40,000 in five years and I’m done. I still owe 20 and they asked if they could help me with it. I said I want to try and do this on my own.

When I was doing the program with GreenPath, I called the reps and explained what I was looking for, and they would total my accounts into the computer and figure out where I was at. If I needed a certain amount of dollars they'd figure out what they could take and what I have to pay. I spoke with whoever was available and they were always there for me and they were so helpful. GreenPath took all the stress that I was having off of me so I could actually live a life. I had the most wonderful experience with GreenPath and I would highly recommend them to anybody.

I've been with GreenPath for four years now, and I've had a very good experience with them. They have good service and ever since the beginning, they have been professional and helpful. I went online to look at different places, and their website caught me. I was thinking of filing bankruptcy, but that was something they didn't want to do. I then had them consolidate my debts. Their application was easy to follow. They got a hold of me right away and whenever I would call, they would get back to me. Also, a couple of times I needed to change my date and they did it for me with no problem.

I used GreenPath before and I used it again to pay off bills. I call their number and they give me an application to complete. I put down all the credit cards that I want to consolidate. And when I had to let them know that I had to postpone a couple of payments because they were taking it out too early, I called them. I worked with different agents but I felt comfortable with them. They provided information I was looking for and they were courteous.

GreenPath worked and it helped me pay off my debt regularly. I didn’t pay it off early but I made all payments. I'm done now. Working with them made a change in my life because I have 22 years of my work experience and I’m close to retirement so I can retire earlier than expected. I’d recommend GreenPath and I would let people know that they’re all professional and they help provide information towards getting debts paid off early. Hopefully, the people would be provided the same service I had and they’ll be able to pay off their bills early.

I was in debt and couldn’t get out. I kept falling further and further behind, and I couldn’t do it myself. GreenPath was sponsored by MSU Credit Unions. They talked about GreenPath quite a lot and so I chose them because I like MSU Credit Union and they’re good. I gave them all my bills, all my credit cards, and they figured out a way. They paid them off for me. They got some discounts and paid all the creditors off. They were so kind every time I call them. I was never late but whenever I had any questions, they always answered them right and always said I didn’t have to worry about it and they’d get me through to the end. They were very helpful. The man I talked to, at first, was very gracious. He answered questions that I didn’t know about. I would have understood how to take care of my credit cards and what not to do and what to do have I gone to them a long time ago. And I probably wouldn’t have gotten a reverse mortgage.

The other guys who I spoke to were gracious as well. Especially in the beginning, I had to take my papers in and have them check them over and make sure everything was going okay. I was a little nervous, but they got me through that. I’m 70 and my husband’s 77 and I don’t know where we would be if it weren’t for them. I'm already done with the program and I can sleep at night. The program took about four years. We had used all of our 401k up, all of our reverse mortgage money, and we were down to nothing. Now, we have savings and we’re so much better. I was really helped by having the ten steps that they gave us on my desk and then look at them almost daily for I have to keep out of debt. That’s going to be a hard thing but it’s not going to be if I keep with what they’ve done and what they’ve taught me. Lastly, the cost is well worth it. I would definitely recommend GreenPath to anybody who is in trouble.

We were in a bad financial situation. I was in an accident and went on disability. We were also involved in a civil lawsuit that was costing a lot of money and we had a couple kids in college. I got suckered into those zero percent transfer your balance and zero percent for 18 months thinking I was going to get back to work. That didn’t happen so we had a lot of credit card debt at a high-interest rate.

I made an appointment and went to GreenPath. I talked to a very nice gal over there at the Mishawaka, South Bend office. She went over what our expenses were, what our income was then calculated all the credit card debt and figured out how much we could pay every month. She also explained to me how the system worked. She set it up to where the credit card companies agreed to lower the interest rate and set up a financial plan to pay it off. We had eight different credit card companies and GreenPath worked out the deal with them and the companies agreed to it. We were paying $2,050 a month.

The interest rates went from 18.99% down to 6%. Some of them even went down to 4%. That was nice because we were getting overwhelmed with it all. It’s nice to just have them manage the whole thing. When we had some extra money, we would apply it to GreenPath and they would pay off whatever they thought was the highest interest rate.

We had a few situations through the couple of years where we were getting a financial bind and we weren’t able to pay the $2,050. But GreenPath took out the minimum $150 and we got caught up the next time we made payment. It was a very smooth process. And every time I had questions or we had things we had to take care of, we just called the toll free number and that worked out well. They were very easy to work with. I didn’t realize it for about a year but I found out I could go online and set up an account with GreenPath. I could go to their website, look at where I was at in the program and what cards were paid off and which ones weren't. That was much more user-friendly than trying figure out, looking at the credit card statements and wondering how much was applied.

We originally had about $78,000 in credit card debt and it was set up on a four-year program. We did it in about two and a half years. We paid the final amount off on January fifth of this year. We got paid off pretty quickly and we were glad to have gotten it done. Freeing up that extra $2,000 a month has been good. My credit score when we started was 560 and it was bad. By paying that credit card debt off, selling some farmland, paying off our second mortgage, my credit score is now 780.

I found out later that a consumer could call their credit card company on their own and say they were getting financial problems and needed some relief. But we had eight credit cards so that would have been a pain to do it. GreenPath made it a lot easier doing it through their program than trying to do it ourselves. They had the contacts and they knew how to do it so it was nice doing it in one place. I found out too that there are other companies that do that stuff. But GreenPath is one of the better ones out there and I highly recommend them.

I was overwhelmed with card debt and GreenPath got it reduced and put on the lowest rate. They set me up for the automatic payment and I didn't worry about it for quite a while. It was affordable for me at the time to pay things and go where I could come up with a solution. And then I ended up getting some money finally and paid everything. I talked to one rep to set it up and usually they were the ones that call me. But whenever I called GreenPath to get a hold of my rep and return their phone calls, I never really got to speak with anybody. Also, I never received any proper emails because they didn't have my proper email address written and they didn't even have my name spelled right for a long time. I suggest they make sure they got all the contact information right before hanging up. GreenPath helped me and it was a little bit faster than some people would be on it with discrepancies, difficulties and correspondence.

We had too many credit cards opened, and we needed help in bringing them down. When getting enrolled with GreenPath, there were basic questions over the phone. They contacted our creditors and decided on a monthly payment. They then decided how much they were going to pay each company, and determined how much had to come from us each Friday. The monthly paying plan was a lot cheaper than what we were paying each company. Also, their reps would once in a while send me emails saying how far we are. They were very helpful, and at the end they congratulated us. They sent us a letter, too. Their caringness and helpfulness impressed us the most. I’ve never worked with anybody like that before.

GreenPath helped us get the interest rates down, and they helped us with monthly payments, too. We completed the program last month, and it has helped us financially get out of a stressful situation. We were able to breathe again. They are a good company to go through if you’re struggling like we did. GreenPath helped us out a lot and I'd tell friends to definitely check them out if they're struggling.

I was in between jobs and we were not able to pay a lot of our credit card bills. So, we called GreenPath to try to get help to lower or stop the interest rates, stop the cards, and get a plan. We got a debt consolidation program and the people that we talked to helped us get everything going. At first, I was hesitant working with them since I’ve never done anything like this. It’s always scary to give out all of your credit card information to someone that you’re not face-to-face with and it was a rocky start because we had to give all our information to them because they have to call on behalf of us to all the different creditors to negotiate. But we saw that our bills were getting paid and everything was working out. We were able to manage it a lot more easily by doing one bill a month, instead of trying to sort through six or seven different payments. It simplified everything and helped us decide a lot. Overall, we were happy we did.

We were fed up with sitting on hold for hours at a time with different card companies just trying to speak with somebody but GreenPath was able to get it done much more efficiently. We’ve got two kids that we’re constantly chasing and we don’t have the time to sit there on the phone for hours at the time on hold to get transferred to some company in India that we can’t understand what they’re saying. It took all that out of it and that was very relieving.

The reps at GreenPath were easy to relate to and they’re very personable. When we called and asked for any kind of help, they were on top of it and didn’t drag your feet. It would be an improvement if you could check everything online where they send out a password and you could set up an online account to track your balances. But we’ve called in and everyone was very helpful and they let us know what progress we’ve made, and how much longer we have to go and everything else. Cost-wise, it was very reasonable at $50 a month. For them to do all that legwork and put a hold on a lot of the cards in order to stop and reduce the interest on a lot of the cards for a payoff plan, that was worth it. That’s $800 a month worth of bills that we don’t have to pay anymore, so that’s a big deal. I was happy with the service they’ve provided. GreenPath was a good choice and it was very successful for us. I would recommend it.

We had eight credit cards that we paid off using GreenPath. It was very easy for us to get in. Once they found out that we were members of CoVantage Credit Union and they verified that, that was it, and we didn’t have to pay for their services. We sent the monthly bill for each card to them so they could see what they were and go from there. They were concerned, very polite and understanding that it made a big difference for us. Their representatives were really good as well.

They negotiated the payment deal with the credit card companies and got us a lower interest rate to pay on the credit cards. Then they negotiated the monthly payments to a lower amount that we could handle better. In fact, with their help, there were two cards that we didn’t have to pay any interest rate, while the others, we paid a 2% interest. There was a couple that was in budge. It took about three years to get everything paid off and we had over $10,000. We like the way that they handled our whole situation. Working with them made everything a lot easier and it’s a peace of mind for us.

I had a lot of debt in many different places and went with GreenPath 'cause my bank pays the fees. It was free for me, so it was excellent. I'm in GreenPath's debt management program. I called them up, told them all my stuff, they verified, and then they negotiated with my creditors and figured out a payment plan based on my income. It was pretty comfortable working with their reps. I usually got a hold of someone or they called me back. Also, they answered all my questions and did the negotiating for me. They did pretty much what I asked them to. The program made payments more manageable and easier to make, and we got a lot of things taken care of. I have already recommended GreenPath to one of my friends.

I went through a divorce and some medical issues the last couple of years and things just compiled. I tried to pay things off and it just didn't happen. It was great that GreenPath was able to help me get some ground under my feet again. I researched and dealt with some other ones but the negotiations and the paths were quicker with GreenPath. They took my information down and they let me know which accounts I could work with and which ones I wouldn't able to do. But it all worked out. They walked me through it. It wasn't just the payouts that went out it was also what I was spending on: utilities, food, etc. All numbers were run by me.

Also they kept me in the loop as negotiations came in, whether I accepted them or not, then they move forward to them. They saw me as a person, not just as another client. They were compassionate about my situation and came up with the best scenario. The negotiator didn't just say, "Well this one can't happen, I can't do it." When everything was completed and I was able to take care of a lot of my debts, I mentioned to them that I was in the process of looking for a new vehicle since mine was 20 years old and it was falling apart. They mentioned that they could also take care of my payments every two weeks, whatever that works.

They still wanted to continue to help and that was great. I've had a lot of stuff paid off in addition to the program that I was with GreenPath. I was able to kick some more of the extra money that I was able to use and pay off some other items. I've referred the program to several people and a couple of them are on the program already.

In order for me to pay down my debt, I need lower interest rates from the credit card companies but I wasn’t getting cooperation from them. My friend had used GreenPath and she had great success with it. Since she did her research, I just followed her footsteps and I got on GreenPath's program. We did the consultation over the phone. Someone met with me in person and created a list of the debts that I wanted to include in the program. Their fee was minimal for $50 a month.

They contacted the banks. They got the interest rates lowered and that was a substantial amount of debt. Then they started me on my way to deducting a certain amount each paycheck which automatically comes out. There was a great customer support along the way. If I had a month where I needed to skip a payment withdrawal date, I would ask for a reprieve and they were totally fine with it. The process was very easy, as well as contacting them. June would have been my program end date but as of last month, I completed the program. Now, I have an additional almost $450 a month that’s not going to them or to bills. The end result is that I paid up $22,000 in debt in five years which I wouldn’t be able to do on my own. It was a success as far as I’m concerned. I would recommend them to whoever is trying to work with banks which is impossible to do.

My wife’s legs were both amputated and she had heart attacks, strokes and seizures. The debt got too high that I couldn’t handle it. So I told one of the girls at Tampa Federal Postal Credit Union about my dilemma and the bouncing checks all over. I was trying to control the situation but couldn’t so they suggested to get a hold of GreenPath. I told GreenPath about my situation and they notified all of the people I owed money through the doctors, lawyers but mostly hospitals. Even the Walmart Pharmacy that I’ve got checks for my wife’s prescriptions was monitored by them. It was quite a big deal. And then I had to drop the card and they got it down to a lower percentage that I could afford. Everything was a snafu then and money was coming out of my check.

My wife used to do all this but when she got sick she couldn’t do it. I tried to do it myself but there’s too much paperwork and too much memory. It was hard for me. I couldn’t get a job anywhere because I stayed home and watched her. So we went on further debt and GreenPath got it all taken care of and I’m happy I did it. We started off at $200 and after a while I sum up and gave them $300 to speed the process up. And when my wife passed away I paid back to the hospitals again. But I am cleared from paying since last month. I have completed the program and now I get $300 back in my paycheck. Their representatives were very helpful and understanding about my situation. I was very satisfied with it and I would recommend GreenPath to anybody. They covered everything and it was worth it for they had the expertise to do it.

I had been employed and I was also a student. I had to give up my credit card for six months which meant that I was left with so much consumer debt that I would’ve had to declare bankruptcy. I was in the debt consolidation program for five years originally with another provider and then my stuff was sold to GreenPath. I wanted the plan to be shorter but it was a good discipline to have to do it in five years. My cost was $25 a month which was a pretty darn good deal to me and I also had a great experience every time I called. I’m glad that I’m done with the program now but I haven’t had much release because I went to one debt to another. Instead of spending $772 a month on my consumer debt retainment, now I’m paying my student loan for not quite that much but close. Still debt consolidation has certainly made my life better and I would totally recommend it, as well as GreenPath, to other people.

Several years ago, I was over any kind of monthly on bills and debt. The credit union told me about GreenPath so I trusted them. The credit union never led me in the wrong direction so I figured their endorsement of GreenPath was positive. I went online and started the process. Most of the other steps were through them alerting me online and also through communication. They also wanted me to send the bills to them so I did. They were clear in what they expected. Their reps were always courteous to me and didn’t treat me like, “You stupid debtor, you got yourself in this trouble.” They always made me feel like I had integrity and I was dignified. The only thing I had trouble with was keeping up with my account online. I'm 82 and everything wants a password but I couldn’t remember all of them.

GreenPath helped me contact department stores and people that I owed money to. I asked help with four accounts and they got a reduced payment out on some. On others, they couldn’t, but they worked with the creditors. I put GreenPath on an automatic deduct and as soon as my retirement went in, they would take the money out each month and distribute the payments. So I had no problem with the payment plan. I had no problem with the cost of their service either. I just finished my responsibility about a month ago through them and they stayed with me until the end of the term of three months. They helped me get out of my stress feeling on my debts but I didn’t know that going into the program would affect my credit. It was not that bad, though, because I needed to be spared the worry and the program also helped me with my credit at the end.

I love GreenPath. I just got a Christmas card from them the other day telling me to let them know if they can help me again. It’s nice to know that there are people like them because I thought I had to deal with that all by myself. They help an individual have dignity because of the way they treat people. They are willing to ask somebody to look at the client’s situation and be ready to realize that they can still get their money and yet not be Scrooges about it. I always tell my friends not to lose sleep over their debts and that if they really are sincere in honoring that debt but couldn't do it the way their creditor is asking them to, I would suggest they get in touch with GreenPath. They’re a company enabling clients to pay bills at a lower rate and without having the stress of being bummed every month with all the bad stuff.

I knew GreenPath through my bank, Westconsin Credit Union and it was a free service. I have a bunch of credit card debt and I wasn’t having much success on my own paying it. GreenPath was able to take care of the tax on my credit card companies and the lower interest rates. I called their reps a couple of times during the process. They were always really nice and helpful. I was able to pay my debt off faster making weekly payments. I completed the program a couple of weeks ago and the whole program went well. I’m grateful to them because both of my credit cards are paid off. It was close to $12,000 worth of credit card debt and it’s done with so I feel a lot better.

My mom went with GreenPath Financial Wellness and she paid off her debts real fast. I wasn't organizing my monthly payments so I was always behind. GreenPath helped me out and they were able to do it all together for me. They lowered the interest and they extract the money from my account every two weeks to help me pay off my debts. I called the number and they asked me if I was new or existing so I said new. They asked me for my statements and asked me to pay a fee. I paid and they got me enrolled on my dates that I was going to be paid on. I paid off my debts, built up my credit and I cleared up some stuff.

GreenPath is the nicest company I’ve worked with and the representatives were fast. A lot of times I didn’t have my ID number but they'll pull it up with just my Social Security and my password. They were helpful because sometimes I would pay off a lump sum and they were able to adjust the monthly so I could afford it or they gave me other options. I was supposed to have the program for two years but I cut it down fast because I paid off a big sum with my income. They’re very supportive. I made a good choice and I would recommend GreenPath to some of my friends if they have the same issues as I did.

I called GreenPath and thought that it would be a good company to go with. The name stood out to me. They helped me be able to make one solid payment to all my debts. The enrollment process was very easy and they were good with my payment plan. I told them all of the bills that I had to pay and they helped me put it all organized. They took it over from there and told me what my monthly payment was going to be. It went real smooth after that. I made a monthly payment and I was able to pay off all of my credit cards.

I dealt with several different people at GreenPath and they’ve been very good. They were very thorough. They knew my file immediately when I talked to them. Each person I talked to each time knew me. However, GreenPath could pay a little closer attention to near the end of their process. They told me that I had a couple months extra to pay my plan. When I asked them how much, they looked and told me I owed $607. I told them I just got a bill which said $207. The rep checked and told me that I was right. They added it out and I ended up not having to pay those two extra months. Other than that, the program worked out very well. I have recommended GreenPath to my son and to several other people.

GreenPath did very little for me except negotiate a payment plan with the credit card companies. They were just the middleman and took a middleman cut. Enrolling with them was easy enough. However, I should have negotiated more and I should have asked questions more. For what GreenPath did for me, they got paid more than they should have. On the front end, they said that they could reduce my interest, but they didn't and I ended up paying a lot more because of GreenPath’s presence in the full repayment process. I could have done it myself, but I don’t really know a lot about that stuff and had to use them. They made it convenient though. The reps I talked to were fine and I don't have a complaint about any individual.

The money was there for them to take out of my checking every month. However, they weren't monitoring how much I owed when my debt was about to run out. For the last payment, instead of taking out exactly what I owed, they took out more money and I had to chase them down for that. Then they kept taking money out of my account after the debt has been paid off. They would have kept doing it had I not caught them. I could imagine another consumer who knows even less about this than I do and would just keep paying it and expect GreenPath to tell them when to stop. They definitely dropped the ball towards the end.

Thank you for expressing your thoughts regarding your debt management program. We appreciate any opportunity to improve our services. We are so happy to hear about your positive experiences with us and would like to sincerely apologize for any confusion or concerns you may have experienced. It appears some items were not clarified to you and that is certainly an issue on our end we will rectify. You have given us the opportunity to take a closer look and be sure these issues are something we can be sure will not be repeated.

Within a Debt Management Program, each creditor has their own specific rules to which they adhere, their own concessions that are unique, and the decision to offer these concessions is up to them. Having worked with creditors over more than 60 years we can confidently say the typically we have little problem getting proposals accepted and offering these concessions to our clients. Per review of this program, it shows me that all creditors that were in this program had reduced interest rates and eliminated fees. This can show differently on statements (for example, showing a credit to an account in the amount of the reduced interest that period) and that may not have been explained.

We also do not prefer to set up a Debt Management Program if the fees would add up to more than the amount saved in interest and payments over time. We generally find most of our clients save much more in the long run rather than paying their debt down at higher minimum payments with higher interested over an average of 20 years.

Apologies that you were not called prior to the end of the program. Generally, our system lets us know any time a debt is near pay off so that we can allocate funds accordingly and stop deposits from coming in (this is per compliance standards). It could be that the Sears balance was showing higher than the actual balance so when you contacted to advise it was paid in full we updated and stopped the deposits. I can certainly see why this was frustrating to you.

I am happy to discuss any concerns you may have or help in any way you need. Please do not hesitate to contact.

Sincerely,
Colleen Dillon

We had unexpected medical bills that made it so difficult to the end of the month and we had to use credit cards to help pay some of those bills. I decided that it was time to put a stop to the escalating debt that our family was getting. GreenPath offered a program that made it easy to see the end of that in four years. I wanted to go to one that I at least felt was a non-profit or at least it was intended to be not in the back pocket of the banks.

The process started with a phone call. I talked to the intake counselor and they explained the process. We had understood about the snowballing of paying for things increases each month, when you got one paid off and that money goes to the next one and then it gathers money up. That's the way we wanted to do it. They worked it out. $2,300 a month was kind of expensive for me. I had to pay off everything but they made it so that the interest was less for some of those bills.

Whenever I called and needed to make an adjustment or any kind of question they were always great. I was amazed. Almost everybody was speaking the same language. I never heard something different from somebody when they talked to a different person. Everybody was friendly and they didn't work acting all judgmental. When somebody decides that they were going to get some help to get out of debt it sort of hurts your pride but GreenPath helped us understand that things happened. It was just a great situation and I'm extremely happy that we're out of debt now. I'd recommend GreenPath with somebody who felt like they were at a point financially where they just didn't know what to do. And if they owed more money than they had that would be great way to approach it.

I was in a lot of credit card debts and I couldn’t manage all the minimum payments. A friend of mine referred me to GreenPath. They helped her out a lot and have helped me out immensely, too. They lowered all the interest rates on my credit cards and they even made it easy for me to pay once a month, which is manageable for my salary. I called them a couple of times because something was up and I was going to be late with my payment. Everybody was very pleasant and they worked with me. The customer service was fantastic from start to finish. The cost for their service was so minimal. I was able to get out of debt in five years versus what would have been 20 years from the way I was going. I'm about to get in debt again because my kid is in college but at least for now, I'm out of credit cards. I feel awesome. I would definitely recommend them.

In the beginning, they told me the program was going to be four years and I thought that it was a long time. I was skeptical about any company, not just GreenPath but I liked the fee. It was like $12 dollars and they told me they were going to do it. They not only convinced me, I really liked everything about it. Even if I was a little bit skeptical, I took that risk and now I’m really happy. After everything and I look back, four years wasn’t a long time. Without them, I would probably be still in debt and I don’t know if I would've been able to get out the interest. That’s what they did for me and in four years, I was able to pay all of my debts and I don’t know how they did that. It would have taken longer without them if I didn’t take that risk. Now, I’m just waiting out the 60 days to get my credit card. It takes them 60 days to contact all of my banks in order to get into my debit cards.

They also told me that my account is closed and they paid it off, but I got the bill and it’s still showing 36 dollars. That was my confusion at the end but they did a great job. What I like about them was every time I called, they were available. Most of the people complain that as soon as a company gets business from the client, they were very hard to get on the line but I didn’t have any problem GreenPath. I liked everything about GreenPath and I would suggest and recommend to everybody. Whenever you’re in a situation dealing with credit and having some hardship to pay off, go with GreenPath. You're going to solve all your financial problems.

A co-worker of mine had dealt with GreenPath in the past and he suggested that I have them help me with trying to straighten out my credit because he was very pleased with their work on helping him. I didn't think that it was legit until he told me, "No, you should try it. It really works." So I went on ahead and set up an account with them as well. It was free being that I was with the credit union. I didn't have to pay as long as I was a customer with the credit union. That was something that the credit union offered.

During the enrollment, they pulled my credit and I told them what creditors I wanted them to help pay off for me with direct deposit. They submitted a proposal to the creditors and see if the creditors would accept it. Once the creditors accepted it, they started taking out a certain amount out of my direct deposit every two weeks to pay the creditors for me. I was in the program for three years because they were only checking out so much to pay - $34 here for this creditor, and $75 here for this creditor, so it wasn't a lot. They worked with me on what I could afford. I still have hospital emergency bills on there and they had told me I can get back with them. However, they said that the max has to be $500 and the hospital bills that I have is under $500, so that's something that I can just set up with the hospital to be put on a payment plan.

Each one whom I came across from GreenPath was very helpful and nice. I've got phone calls at 6:00 or 7:00 or 8:00 in the evening to answer some of my questions that I had, and I didn't have a bad experience. It was actually a good experience with that company. I didn't have any more phone calls from the creditors once the proposal was entered. I had been getting a lot of phone calls and it was agitating me because I take care of my grandmother who has Alzheimer's and dementia. GreenPath worked with the creditors for me so the creditors didn't harass or bother me anymore. I dealt strictly with GreenPath. They did the proposal and the calling. Even though sometimes they needed me to be on the call for a third party, I didn't have a problem with them taking care of the business for me.

I was really impressed with GreenPath and with the program. There was nothing that I didn't like about it. I completed it last month. I have four creditors, and each one was paid off. My credit score has went up tremendously and it really helped me. I would refer them to anyone who's trying to get their credit cleared up. I told a couple of family members already and a couple of friends at work about them. It was a nice experience. And if I needed to go back, if I had more debt - which I don't because they helped me out greatly - I would definitely go back with them in a heartbeat.

A friend recommended GreenPath and my bank subsidized part of the debt management program. GreenPath does a credit check and they send letters to all of the debt companies to agree to be in this program. Their program made it easy for me to manage my payments. They lowered my monthly payment and I only had to make one payment versus 20 different card payments all at once. The reps always helped me with every concern I had. They always gave me accurate information on exactly how much money I owed. It was kind of a pain that they wanted me to send them monthly statements from all my creditors the first few months, but other than that the program was easy to use. I have paid off all of my credit cards earlier than expected and the program has raised my credit.

My credit was bad and GreenPath said they could combine my bills and help me pull my credit. At the time, that was the best solution. That was the one that I was introduced through my bank and that's the one I picked. GreenPath combined two of my debts and instead of paying two bills that I couldn't pay at the time, they made it possible for me to pay that off and I didn't have to worry about it being in my credit anymore.

When I got enrolled, they asked me a couple of questions and then they told me to send them paperwork for the two debts that I have that I wanted them to help me with. It was an easy process and the program worked for me. And every time I called, their reps were courteous and were always willing to help. I was in it for four years and just this month, I paid off what I had to pay off and I'm not in at all. I just finished that bill and I'm already done with the program. I have seen the improvement in my credit. It went from bad to okay now. I'm still not where I want to be but it opened doors for me like get my own apartment and get other stuff that I couldn't get before. If you want your credit to improve a little bit better, GreenPath will help you do that.

GreenPath Services came very highly recommended to me. I wanted to see what they could do for me and they did exactly what I needed. I had some debts like credit card debts in particular and they were able to call the creditors and get my interest down and my payments lowered every month. Sending the money to them and letting them handle it was the best.

They sent me the paperwork, I signed it and I sent it in. Then they called me to confirm everything that was on the paper, told me what I would have to do and the time limit I had every month. They helped me from the beginning and they explained everything. They told me what they would have to do and they would get back to me to see if it was okay with me. I followed them right through and whatever they told me was the truth.

They were all very nice, very kind, very helpful and I didn’t have to ask twice. They knew just exactly what I was talking about and what I needed and then they helped me and that’s why I stayed with them so long. I've been with them for about six years and they took care of everything for me. They worked very good with me on my payment plan and I could have never did it any other way. They did a lot to me. It took a load off my mind so the pressure is off. And thanks to them who did it for me. If my friends need help I would give them the number so they could call GreenPath Services.

Many years ago, GreenPath was offered and suggested through my credit union and I did debt consolidation for my credit card accounts. I talked to a counselor who went through what my debts were. I emailed in copies of all of my outdated bills and they sent a proposal back of how much I would have to pay each month, how long it would take and to find some documents. It was rather painless. It was wonderful working their rep too and whenever I asked them to call me back, it was always done in a timely fashion. They were always helpful and polite too. Plus, they asked questions to make sure that they fully understood what I was asking.

In the beginning, we discussed what I felt comfortable being able to afford and they worked through how much was needed to pay on an item. I had it on automatic deduction so I didn't have to think about it. Then they would call or update me if I paid off something 'cause they wanted to figure out how we wanted to reallocate those funds. They made suggestions on what the quickest or better option was and it worked. The only complication that we ever had was there were items that they would say that they would work with me with but then a company wouldn't agree. That wasn't their fault though. That was due to the policies.

On that statement that we get, it showed each item that we were paying on either how long or what the total balance was, but I would have liked to see an itemized deduction of what I had left on to be able to not have to go through the individual company so as to find out the balances. Other than that, GreenPath is a wonderful company and they're doing a good job of helping people get out of debt. This one was also cheaper compared to what I had done in my youth, which was a paid service. I've actually told people who were in a different credit union that they should definitely check to see if this particular program would be available through their credit union to try to get themselves back on track. Others should definitely do it.

My husband was working for the state of Michigan and had to work for 80 hours per pay period but he didn't get paid for 80. On top of that, the gas jumped up to $5 a gallon and he had to drive 65 miles to work so that suddenly put us into a hard situation. A friend suggested Green Path and so we went with them. At that time, my husband didn't want to work any more and had retired which we weren't ready for because we have a mortgage.

The enrollment process was very easy. There was someone there to help me anytime I needed. We started out with Dawn and she was fantastic. Then Amy handled us until they shut the office down and she did a good job. My husband was driving a semi and a long haul. He was gone a long time so a lot of things were done through phone conferences. I went to the office and Green Path would call Greg and we would have a conference together. They told us all what we needed to take in such as how much the debt was and that the collections people couldn't harass us.

We didn't have to pay a fee since we were members of a certain bank. Green Path figured things out like how much money we had, what our basic expenses were and what we needed to do. It was pretty tight at first but as things got paid off, it got better. Green Path gave us a packet which we had to fill out and mail it in. It was to teach us about the product and how to use it. My husband is the primary spender, so he's the one that did the packet and he learned a lot from it. We also had a house fire and my husband got burnt bad and had to have a skin graft surgery. We incurred a lot of bills over that but Green Path helped us and there were some bills in the last two years that we couldn't put on service as Green Path. Michigan changed the rules as the bill had to be over $500. We paid a lot of doctors' bills on top of what Green Path was paying.

But now, Green Path has released us since we only have the mortgage and utilities. It's a really good program and I have recommended them to friends. They helped us work out a budget and get caught up on things we were behind on, and taught us to manage those things. Overall, dealing with Green Path was mostly a big relief as they took a lot of stress off of us.

I wanted to consolidate a few things to get caught up and GreenPath was sending the programs through my credit union. I let them know the outstanding bills that I had to pay and then they told me who accepted the offer that they negotiated and made sure that I got all the original statements with the balance on. I liked how the rep did the follow up making sure that I had everything in. He kept me abreast of where I stood in the program and I felt comfortable working with him. I was there for a specific goal and he laid it out.

The program has worked for me. I've used them twice and I just completed the second time in August. I was able to pay off five creditors. They worked out a reasonable plan that I can pay for a certain amount of months. GreenPath gave me the opportunity to get caught up on some things and to work towards establishing a better credit. I'd recommend GreenPath. I had an efficient and manageable experience with them. They are for anybody who has some outstanding bills and doesn't see an end to it. Companies like GreenPath give you the opportunity to work within your budget. And it might take a couple of years, but at least you're working towards getting them off your slate.

I was referred to GreenPath and my initial contact with them was to find out what they could do to help me catch up on my obligations on a credit card balance. I had a bunch of questions which they answered and they made sure that I understood the answer. Their representatives went above and beyond consistently. GreenPath was a nice solution to a serious problem that was causing me some worries. They have been able to close out my accounts and the cost of the program is very equitable. My experience with them was very good. We got things taken care of. I’d be glad to vouch for the quality of the job that they do.

I had credit concerns and Clark Howard recommended GreenPath. I had read the work, too. The enrollment process was very easy. Their representative was always very helpful through the years. Everything went well and they were able to resolve the issues that I was going through.

I lost my job. So, I was trying to consolidate things to make it easier to pay off. Everything was smooth during the enrollment process with GreenPath. I had two loans that were consolidated together and when I paid off the first one earlier, I missed the information in my email that I needed to follow up with the company to make sure that there was no money left over. I ended up getting sent to collections for $5 or something so it was a pain to deal with. They got taken care of and that finished up two months ago. The second one was paid off and so now, I'm all done.

There should have been a more direct communication and guidance on how to prevent a minor fee throwing everything for a loop. Other than that, everything was exactly what I expected and GreenPath was easy to work with. Also, the cost has helped me. I was willing to pay the cost to make sure that I wasn’t paying interest and to get a low rate so it was totally worth it. It was great to be able to pay off a large chunk of debt in a short period of time.

My son was getting married and I had kind of maxed on some of my lines of credits. GreenPath Services was a referral from Bank of America so we contacted them. I spoke with Patty several times and she was extremely thorough. She took the information, formulated a plan, and went to the credit card companies and made a proposal to them. All but Capital One went along with it. I told Capital One to take the program or they won't get any money at all. I'd had 36 years of not a single late from 1976 to 2009 and I was getting all these crappy calls on Saturday and Sunday. My wife just couldn’t stand the phone calls. We came to a conclusion and we made those payments for 60 months and I just paid everything off, all $72,000, in August to September 1.

GreenPath lowered my stress. We were different people within three months because everybody got into the system and they just took the money out of our checking account around the first or second and made payments to the creditors. Their literature in contract was very fair. Their service is at a reasonable price and everybody was always cheerful in their emails. GreenPath took me out of a loony bin potential just to have a place to live. It brought my life back. Although I had no money, I got rid of all those nonsense calls.

We had credit card debt and GreenPath worked with our credit union, so there were no extra fees. They have an office not far from our home, and we met with a very knowledgeable young woman who explained the whole thing to us and put us on the debt management program. Their reps were very responsive and equally knowledgeable. When we had questions, they usually they knew the answer and if they didn't, they'd find it then email or call us back.

Also, sometimes we have to skip a payment if we have other financial liabilities in a month and they were really good about it. The representatives had to turn in our statements and we could take a picture of it and send it via email. It's very comfortable working with them and no matter who we talked to, they could look at our account and figure out what was needed and what we needed to do. They were very helpful in setting up a plan, contacting the companies we owed money to, worked out arrangements, sent payments in a timely manner and worked us through the program until completion. They got us debt-free outside of our home and we recommend them all the time.

I had a lot of credit card debt that I was feeling drowned by financially. I had never really looked into credit consolidation before but in New York City where I work, I kept finding these city buses and seeing this GreenPath commercial. The ads would come up in front of me and I thought this may be an answer to my prayer and that I should look into this company. I saw online it seemed like a good and reputable company so I took a chance with them because I knew that I needed to do something to keep up with payments as soon as possible.

When I got GreenPath’s credit consolidation and credit card, the enrollment process was fairly straightforward and simple. I gave them crucial information about the accounts such as account numbers and balances. The information was difficult to find and a little time-consuming but I had quite a few credit cards that needed to be consolidated at the time. The program helped me to simplify my life by getting my credit card payments all consolidated into one payment, versus seven or eight other separate payments all throughout the month. They helped me by lowering my interest rate on a lot of them, and there were one or two credit cards where the interest went down significantly. Some interest rates even went down to zero percent, so in the end, it saved me a lot of money in interest payment and late fees.

I spoke to a few different people over the course of the six years that I have been in the program. Everybody was very professional, compassionate and understanding. They had great customer service goals and I felt very comfortable working with the reps. They gathered all the different balances, rolled them into one and then added in the monthly service fee. They would collect payments via direct deposit from my bank account bi-weekly when I get my salary. I didn't have to think about it, call or go online. It would just happen automatically which was good.

I had two or three more credit cards that needed to get enrolled in the payment plans before I finished. So, it added an extra two years to the length of time for me. In order for me to finish within three years, what they did was increase the amount that I was going to pay a little bit more. At this point in time, I'm feeling more confident so I have a better handle on my finances overall and I'm pleased with the end result. My credit score is in the 700 right now, but it took me a long time to get here. I got married and had children, my credit was mounting up and everything went down the drain. Luckily now I'm back in a more solid place. I learned from my mistakes.

GreenPath worked and I would definitely recommend it to friends because it’s a place that will give reliable credit consolidation. You just tell them what level of enrollment you want to have with them. They also offer seminars, classes and online informational tips. I've been on the website and read some of those newsletters and informational tips. I have even recommended it to my grandmother who was having the same situation as I was about a year or two ago. So far, she seems to have a pretty positive experience with them as well. Overall, GreenPath was a very helpful experience and I'm really glad I did it.

I lost my job, then I was out of work for eight months. I’m a nurse and a healthcare provider with lots of experience and with an MBA, but I couldn’t find a job. I was in a mess. I couldn’t pay my house note. But I refused to go bankrupt and that was my next option. I was way in debt with my credit cards and I was searching for debt reduction companies. I found GreenPath Financial Wellness and I liked what I saw. They were very easy to work with and had good, counseling-type folk who were very friendly and nonjudgmental. I worked with one person, Katherine, in the beginning. She was extremely confident and very good to work with. But since GreenPath spread their officers, I worked with whoever I could get.

GreenPath communicated and negotiated with the different credit card companies and debtors, and they calculated a certain amount for me to pay each month. They did everything to make it possible for me to afford the payment and get it done. I’ve been paying $1,476 every month for five years and I’ve paid off almost $90,000 of my credit card debt, so I’m completely finished with the program. I’ve pulled myself out of a hole at 62 years old. The cost of the program is minimal and well worth it in relation to the quality of service I received. I like that they send out regular educational pieces which are nice to get. They're constantly keeping in touch and that’s a good thing. I've already recommended GreenPath to a friend.

I was feeling overwhelmed with what I let myself get into so, I wanted to get my debts paid off and breathe free again. Seventh Ave gave me GreenPath's number and they were the first ones that I called. Enrolling was fairly easy. I explained my situation, they accepted me and we went from there. They did all the work, contacted the different companies that I had an account with and settle on a certain amount each month. From my social security, I withdrew or had so much set aside that they would automatically withdraw at the 3rd of the month or whenever their collection was. Then, they would disperse the different amounts to the different companies the best way.

There were moments that some of the months were kind of tight. During this two and a half years, my son has been deemed disabled to work and he's been trying to get social security disability. He's been denied eight times and I've tried to help him out in the best way I can. The housing that we live in has lowered his rent down to $50 a month and I pay that which would stretch my living on social security income. But it worked out well.

GreenPath people were kind, considerate, and left me with a good feeling about what I was doing and we're meeting our goal. Also, I was very comfortable working with their reps. I was very pleased and completely satisfied with them. They were very good to me and that means a lot when you can express something and somebody has feeling and compassion for what you've gone through even though I over did. They gave me peace of mind to know that it would take a little bit but eventually, I would see the light at the end of the tunnel. I had nothing but good service and it gave me relief that I finally got it all paid off.

GreenPath was a great company. I really loved them. My credit card debt was pretty high. We didn't know who to call and a lady gave us GreenPath and said that they could help us a lot better than any other company. She told me that her husband had it and they helped him. So, we called them, and I thought enrolling for it was going to be difficult but it wasn't. They did it over the phone, I gave them all the information and all the people that I owed money to. Then they sent me a copy of everything and I signed it. They set up a budget for us and helped us a great deal. They did everything that they could for me. All I did was check in every once in a while, and when they gave me a call about a certain thing we talked about it.

I’ve had 5 representatives and they were all nice. I was scared and nervous at first but they calmed me down. I felt very comfortable working with them. It took four years to get out of debt but it was worth every penny. My payments come out of the bank automatically. We set it up in a way where they would come in and take the money and then they'd pay off for their service plus paying off the bills and I lived on the rest of it for four years. They were good and every time I call them they were very nice. They paid all my credit cards and got my interest down a lot. They were really good at that. Working with them has taught me how to live out of a budget, save money and forget about credit cards. When you move from one place to another and you're trying to get everything together you use a lot of credit cards and that got us into debt and that will never happen again. I recommend GreenPath all the time to people when they have a problem.

Somebody told me about GreenPath then I called and I talked to a lady who was very nice and worked with me. They worked with me for three years and we got that totally done even when I had trouble with the initial payment. Also, they worked with me via lower payment and they were emphatic. We're getting out of debt and it's a very fair price. It’s a great program for anybody that needs help and I used to tell people that if they have problems to give them a call.

I got behind a month on my credit card payments. I was trying to make a partial payment to one of the credit card companies and they gave me the number to GreenPath. It’s a very easy enrollment process with GreenPath. They were all very helpful and nice. They answered all my questions and if I didn’t have a question and they felt there was something that I should know, they informed me of it. The cost was nominal and they made sure I had enough to live on and pay my normal bills. They took a lot of money and paid my credit cards off. I don’t have any credit cards anymore and I know now that I can't get into cards. I cannot handle one and I cannot keep ahead of them because I was making minimum payments every month and that’s where I got in trouble. Customer support contacted me a couple of times to see if I need any help or to inform me that they’re there if I do need help.

I’ve been in contact with GreenPath for the last 10 years for two rounds of consolidation. The first situation was 10 years ago. I married, got divorced and moved. The last one was this year because I got sick. Even if there was a situation because I got sick, they were able to hold some things a few months out and then they were able to get it back up. You pay a little bit more to take care of it. Their reps are very responsive whether by phone call or email. It was nothing but smooth every time or any time something needed to be changed. The quality of service was excellent. Cost-wise, for what they did, it was worth it and very reasonable. Working with them definitely got me to a better place each time. Now I don't have any debt.

I wanted to get ahead of my payday loans and my bank referred GreenPath to me. The enrollment process was easy and it worked out well. The representative was very informative. He answered questions right away, explained how everything was going to work and he was very thorough. I was on the phone with him the first time for three hours to get everything set up. The payment plan was affordable and if there was an issue where I couldn’t do it, all I had to do was call them and they made arrangements for me to follow it with my next payment. Working with GreenPath has made a big issue into a small one. The experience was simple and easy.

There was an issue I had because they took it out of my check every two weeks. One two-week period, it would come out on the day that we always paid, and then the following two weeks, it always came out the day before. They said it was because they were going by a calendar period and not specific dates. But all I had to do was call them and they refunded me the fees that my bank charged me for it. But there was a couple of times where the money wasn’t there because I hadn't gotten paid yet. They tried to take it out and my bank charged me a fee, but they corrected it very quick as soon as I called. Other than that, it was fine.

I was drowning in at least 12 to 15 different bills each month and I couldn’t get it all straight. I had a bank account through Icon Credit Union and they gave me GreenPath's information. I enrolled in their debt management program and once I submitted all my paperwork for them, they set up an automatic withdrawal from my account for an amount that we both agreed upon to make all my creditors happy. I worked with them for more than five years and they would always email me and let me know if I had paid off a debt. Then they would use that extra money that I was done paying towards another debt that I had to increase the monthly payment.

Everyone at GreenPath was really friendly and helpful. They were always great to get back with me. It was an awesome experience and I never had any complaints. I am done working with GreenPath and the cost was worth it. The biggest part about the debt management program with GreenPath was that they made it so easy for me. I gave them all the information and they made all the calls. All I had to do was provide the money. I’m pretty much debt-free now. I have a student loan, but it’s the only one that I have left so I’m paying them straight out. I would recommend GreenPath to anyone and have recommended them to a couple of my past co-workers. If I need to use them in the future, I definitely would.

GreenPath negotiated for a lower interest rate for my credit cards and then provided debt repayment service. I went to their office in our town and they took all of my information in. They were all very helpful and always answered my questions in a pretty straightforward manner. I was very comfortable working with them. They explained the program to me and gave me all the literature that I needed. Their customer support is very good. I also got emails about different tips.

The cost of the service was very reasonable and it was definitely worth it. Had I stayed on the path that I was on, I would have paid way more than the $50 a month and interest charges. There were never any extra charges so everything was paid back through GreenPath pretty efficiently. I was committed to getting out from under the credit card debt and GreenPath helped to make it possible for me. Everything was done in a timely manner and went very smoothly from start to finish. I'm all finished with the program and I have no more credit card debt. I would encourage a friend who would me about GreenPath to get started right away in any way they might be able to or at least to look into it.

I sought GreenPath's services on a mortgage issue that I had several years ago. I was trying to make up two payments in one month, and I couldn't catch up on that 1 month. Chase referred me to GreenPath because they said there was some educational programming that I could go through. Chase had a mortgage release program and that was part of the awesome training that I went through. That's how I initially got started with GreenPath.

It was an easy enrollment process. They coordinated and made all the contacts with Chase. If I needed to be on the line, we do a conference call, where I was on the line with Chase and whoever I needed to be with. They were excellent. They charged about $20 a month. I could manage that, which I thought was very reasonable.

I have expanded from just getting the mortgage in line and taken care of. I had some other debts that were in collections, and we moved forward with managing those accounts to make sure that payment arrangements were made. I didn't have to worry about getting any phone calls from debt collection agencies, email notifications, or any kind of legal action.

However, there was one little glitch, but I don't think that it had anything to do with GreenPath. There was one account that was being handled by a law firm that tried to do a garnishment, but they didn't have all the information that GreenPath had. I don't know if GreenPath actually contacted whoever was in that particular unit within that law office. I had an attorney for this issue, and between the law firm and GreenPath, the issue was definitely resolved.

After working with GreenPath, I now know a whole lot more strategies to use in management. I also know what to do, if I needed a loan or a refinance, which was what I was able to do. Because of GreenPath, I was able to do VA refinance in the last couple of months. I couldn't have done that without having someone else to help and make sure that all those other accounts were taken care of. Now my accounts have all been paid off, so I don't have anything in Collections. Basically, I just have a mortgage and a car now. It has worked out really well with GreenPath.

I needed to have somebody else there to jumpstart with me and then follow-through. Now I would get monthly statements every month. If there are any other concerns, I could always call them. They don't have me assigned to just one person, so any of the reps would make very extensive notes when they talk with me. Then, if I were to talk with somebody else later on, they could look at those notes that they have, and they would be up to speed, like if I had talked with the person that I had originally dealt with for that issue. They have all the information right in front of them that they can refer to. I would strongly recommend GreenPath. They actually did a great job for me.

I wanted to pay off my debt and my son recommended GreenPath. The enrolment was all done over the phone and it was very simple. The reps were very good and very helpful. I call them and ask them about whatever question I had and I got very good answers. What impressed me the most was their friendliness, being down to earth and being understanding. They took a certain amount that I can handle out of my checking account every month and paid my bills. It went very smoothly and the cost was excellent. Now, I have completed the program and my debts were paid. I would recommend GreenPath.

I was with GreenPath for about four years and working with them has been good. I had a bunch of credit card debts which I was never ever late on because I made good money. My work changed to where I wasn't going to be making enough. Before I got myself into trouble, I decided to seek out help. My husband and I did it before with another company so I was familiar with the process.

GreenPath helped me get all my information on all the card and what my debt was. I like to go over whatever I'm due so I can knock out my bill a lot faster. If I owe $1000 on my credit card, I like to pay $500 every month. What was helpful with the type of company like GreenPath is they talk to the creditor to get them to lower the interest rates. That's huge. More of the money that I'm putting towards my bill gets towards my bill. It was an awesome experience and I was very happy. I definitely would recommend GreenPath. And in fact, I have recommended GreenPath to a bunch of my friends because we did so well with not having a credit card.

I was going through a hardship and was trying to consolidate all my credit cards. Then I got an email from where I work from the Credit Union. And so, I felt more comfortable using GreenPath than any of the other sources that are out there. I had an interview with them and provided them with my financials, my budget, and answered questions relating to my situation. The rep who I worked with was always very helpful. GreenPath offered a program where I paid off all my cards. They withdrew one payment every two weeks to pay off my credit card debt and I finished the program prior to the date we had. They were always able to answer my questions. And they always ask how they could further assist me. They have good customer support and GreenPath helped me get relief of paying off and paying on those high-interest credit cards and eliminating those debts. I've already recommended a few people to GreenPath.

My credit card debt led me to seek GreenPath's services. They contacted the credit card company, set up payments and made sure I could get the debt paid off in five years. I called their reps, found out what steps I had to make, they told me what to do and when my last payment would be. We set it up for the same amount of payment every month. They worked with me on setting up a manageable one. And then one month when I had some stuff come up and couldn't make it, they worked with me to miss that one payment but adjust and still take care of stuff. They adjusted it to what my final payment would be and then told me to make sure I check my next balance on the credit card because there would be some extra interest, which was 84 cents.

It took care of making me not to have to worry about the interest that would continue to build up and the late payments and the bad credit. It became a normal bill I had and they took the money out of my account right after I got paid. When I initially enrolled in it, I wasn't aware of how much I was paying them each month. Obviously, they make money off of it as well for doing that stuff. I wish I would have known more of their process so I could have compared with other companies. In the initial stages, I was in a hurry to accept any type of help. I also didn't find the online statements very helpful then. That would just say, "This is what we took out each month." It was just seeing how much time remaining I'd have.

But I felt very comfortable dealing with the representatives. I was happy with them. When I would call the company, their reps were all very helpful and worked with me. I didn't have to stress about it on my own all the time and they were monitoring it in making sure progress was being made. Also, I never felt judged or embarrassed in dealing with them even though it's always embarrassing coming in and set that up. Now, my credit card’s completely paid off and then they just sent me a reminder to get my credit checked in six months. Working with GreenPath helped me manage with the debt I got into and be able to make a plan to get out of it. I budget much better now. It was a beneficial experience.

I got myself in trouble and was overwhelmed with bills. GreenPath consolidated everything and I paid $60 a month. They divided it up with all the creditors and paid them all for me. Working with GreenPath was extremely easy. They handled it all and there was no effort on my part. I'd tell a friend who is looking into debt solutions to get in touch with GreenPath. The service is perfect the way it is. It's worth every penny.
