GreenPath made me hopeful that there are still places that are honest and helpful. Thank you so much for being there with me to ensure I accomplish my debt free journey. The only thing I have to say is when I called there was a long wait; however, I understand you are popular. How could you not be?!

I put over $40k in GreenPath Debt Management Program. I was able to pay back my debts that I owed at a lower interest and payment while ensuring that I was making payments on time. Out of the 4-5 years on the plan, only 2 accounts were deemed late due to the program.

I liked the small payments with GreenPath. Their customer service was good. I liked the communication when a debt was cleared off of my credit report. I would get an email and then a phone call. Working with GreenPath impacted my life in a good way. My credit score has gone up. It put me in a better place to start looking for a home.

My experience with GreenPath was excellent. It was a thing that came up during COVID because everybody was spending out and nobody was working. So, I just picked it up because I’m not working and I got credit card bills.
I called up when I was at work. When I called them, I didn't know if they said they could consolidate or they could make me pay each credit card off, but they were willing to work with us so that I’m not gonna get those charges that the creditors would have still been charging me. I thought it was great. And they helped me out. It took three years, but they were only taking $64 out a month. I was able to pay almost 5 grand. It impacted my life in a positive and helpful way, and it brought my credit score up.
My communication with them was excellent. They were upfront with me. They told me everything, like what it was gonna be. What made me really like them was that I had a medical condition, and any time I would tell them that I won’t be able to pay it, they would offer to lower my payment balance. I don’t know if it changed after COVID, but during that moment, whatever plan I had, it was successful, it was wonderful, and it wasn’t stressful.

The end result, which matters most, went exactly as I was told it would and we got the desired results. What didn't go as planned was this idea that they'd be three to coach and help me through the program. Communication was great as I evaluated the program and spoke to various people. As soon as I committed and became a customer, communication from other humans at Greenpath stopped. Multiple times I replied to emails and surveys to ask why I can't hardly get a human on the phone, zero reply.
Be aware that once you become a customer, by either paying them or the financial institution paying them on your behalf, you won't get any human coaching or human interactions. If you don't care about that and just want to pay your bills off, which is fine too, then you'll be happy with these folks. Also, be aware that they don't negotiate any good interest rates or terms for you either. They take what the creditor gives them based on what you can afford per month. If you want reduces interest rates, then you'll need to negotiate on your own with your creditors. I did this successfully for most. The one who refused to negotiate with me, I put on the Greenpath program. Greenpath is legit and it's good people. This is not a scam. Completely on the up and up.

GreenPath was helpful when I was in financial trouble. I wasn't able to pay my debt because during COVID, my husband unfortunately lost his job. After it got paid off, we were all good to go. I used them for debt consolidation. The lovely lady who helped me with it, Rose, was very helpful. The process was fairly easy. They paid my debt off, as long as I paid the bill. It lasted for five years, and I've already finished the program.
The communication could have been a little bit better. I only found out that my debt was completely paid off when a gentleman called and told me that I’m done with it. And I was like, “What? I got no emails about this, like when was I supposed to be done?” But he said that I’m actually done and will be getting a check back because they overcharged me. And I ended up getting $299 back.

It's been 5 years since I started but I DO recall that it was easy to set up. The entire process (from initiating to paying off) was easy & painless. Contact was never an issue (mostly by phone) & agents were friendly, sympathetic & helpful! Last auto-pay was overage but it was refunded quickly. Had one follow-up call to confirm everything that was also quick & easy. Hopefully I'll not need to re-enroll but if the need arises I will do it with hesitation!

GreenPath got my spending under control, and their customer service is always excellent. I changed my pay date once. And they worked it out for me very easily and smoothly. Everyone was always polite and pleasurable to me. They used my name frequently in a friendly way.
The only thing that I wanna mention is when I call them, I wait and wait. When I first started, I had to dedicate two or three hours to wait to talk to them. They're hard to reach. And then they ask for a callback number, and get to call me back.

Everything was perfect, and I was happy and grateful I found GreenPath. I was getting a personal loan, and at that time GreenPath told me to send a payment before they would give it to me. They would give it to me and so I started. Everything I wanted, they did, and I did not have any problem since I started. Even if I have something, when I call, they explain it to me and make me understand it. That is important for me.
The price beginning was too high for me but the ending was low. I thank them so much for working with me because sometimes my payment was not the same date. Sometimes my payment is late. I did a surgery, I called them, and they held it until I came back for my surgery. I was worried when I did my surgery, and I was worrying about that because I couldn’t afford it. Them holding my payment, I love them for that. My payments were not successful every time, and either I would delay or I would pay the next day. I will recommend everybody to do that because not every service will allow that.

GreenPath helped negotiate lower rates on credit cards. I lost my job in 2022, and ran up credit cards trying to maintain bills. I called GreenPath and I was on my last leg and I was like, "I'm too young to be drowning like this," and got a very sweet Southern lady on the phone. She got me all set up that same day. I also appreciated that she understood the vulnerability of the place that I was in, like "I can't get myself out of this hole that I dug myself into."
Enrolling was really easy. Being told what the cost would look like, the timeframe, how I could change my debt process, how I could make extra payments, all of that was made very clear during the application process.
At GreenPath, whenever I called somebody, there was always a resolution. I remember at one point I had called 'cause my payments were getting taken out in such a-- like they were getting taken out of my account, but they were sitting on GreenPath's side for a weird time, and I was like, "Well, I feel like we're paying more on the interest part because the payments were split up." So, I called and I said, "Could we double that payment on the same day? I just think it'll take out chunks better." And they said, "That actually would work. With the way that your payments fall, we can do that."
That was really nice. I wasn't told, "Nope, this is how we have it done." They're like, "Well, let's see if it would make sense because we actually can't have you go delinquent or miss a payment. We don't wanna do that 'cause that's not gonna help us." So, I just like the transparency that they had in working with me.
I think the price was fair because it still was less than what I would have paid in interest trying to knock those out myself without a negotiation. So, I feel like it was fair. It got me where I needed to be. I paid off 10 grand of credit card debt because we had the payment plan set up with them. And then tax time, every time I got a refund, it just went straight to those cards.

This is what I messaged the company: What is the point in making an appointment if your people are not going to follow through? It infuriates me that I set aside time that I could have been working for my 1 pm appointment. I was called at 12:44 pm and asked if I was available and I said sure. The person said that if I was on hold for more than 2 minutes, to hang up and I will get a call back. I waited 5 minutes and put in my phone number for a call back. I called back at 1:03 pm asking about my appointment. The person I spoke with said that I never had an appointment. I said that I sure do, that I'm looking at the email as I spoke with them. She continued to say that I never had an appointment. I told her I was called at 12:44 pm and that someone was ready and yet no one was there when I was transferred for over 4 minutes. She said that I would be put on a callback list which could take about an hour if they were busy.
I asked what's the point of having an appointment if they can't keep it. Here is it 7:30 pm, and I NEVER received a call back. I made sure I stayed home for a couple hours, wasting my time for a inconsiderate business who makes appointments and sends about 12 reminders about this said appointment but yet can't even keep it. It makes your business look TERRIBLE.
We apologize for the negative experience you had with our appointment process. We appreciate you giving us this feedback, because we are consistently looking for ways to make improvements. We understand it would be frustrating and we sincerely apologize. One of our team members responded to your email promptly. He offered to connect you with a counselor and bypass the queues or appointments and it appears you declined the opportunity. We understand, but if you change your mind, please respond back to that email for more. We would love to help you meet your financial goals.

GreenPath was recommended by the credit card company. I like their terms, too. Enrollment was straightforward and relatively quick. I called to pay it off because my company gave me a bonus. Instead of spending the bonus, I decided to apply it to finish my term early. That’s when I found out GreenPath had miscalculated. Even if I had paid it off, I still would have owed one of my creditors over $3,000. They said it was an oversight on their part, but in the end, it was a more than $3,000 error that I had to pay myself.
When I thought I had paid off a little over $3,000 and was done, my creditor hit me with another $3,000 bill that I still owed. GreenPath left me responsible for it, so I ended up paying over $6,000 instead of the $3,000 I thought would finish it off. Everything was good up until that point. They were very helpful and informative. But at the end, it was like, “Oh, crap.”
We are glad that our representatives were helpful and our service went relatively smoothly. We absolutely understand it would be frustrating to find out that the balance was higher than expected near the end of the program. There are a number of reasons that this can happen from time to time. After reviewing your account, it appears that there was a promotional rate that expired and GreenPath was not made aware of this change. We use projections to estimate payoff balances based on information provided by the client and the creditor. Unfortunately, we do not have direct communication with most creditors and must rely on the initial calculations and information provided by clients. While on the Debt Management Program, it is the client’s responsibility to monitor creditor account statements and update Greenpath with accurate account information and notify us of any potential discrepancies. We happily extend the opportunity to provide a free budget and credit report review to assist in the continued pursuit of financial wellness.

I was looking online for different options, and GreenPath seems to be one of the most reputable if not the most reputable. I called them and I had a great experience with them. They are very helpful in getting everything set up and setting up payments. From beginning to end, they were very helpful and informative, and it was great working with them. Most of the time, I could log in online and see where my payments had gone through. If I had specific questions, I could call into customer service and then ask them. Everything I did, I had a great experience with their customer service.
In enrolling, I filled out some initial paperwork because they had to contact the credit card companies on my behalf. It was very streamlined, and I didn’t have to worry about the hassle of negotiation as they did all that for me. I just had to sign the paperwork saying I accepted everything, and the rates looked good to me. Overall, they are an incredible organization that helps out people in my situation. I’d recommend it to anyone who needed help.

I was in another program and they went over my credit report with me and they told me about GreenPath. So, I contacted GreenPath and they looked at how much I owe, and how much my income level was, and determined from there how much to apply each one. They contacted each one of the credit card companies. I have been working with them since 2020. I did good except for in 2022, when I activated a credit card.
I did well with GreenPath because my credit score went up. When I started, it was at 400 and it's at a good place now. The only downside is I have one card that I maxed out and I've been holding on to just that one. Before I activated the card, I told them that I had gotten a card, and they told me they wouldn't suggest that. Things happened and I found out I needed to use the card. But other than that, GreenPath has been a tremendous blessing.
And I have told everybody that I know that if they’re going through some trouble working out with the credit card companies and need someone to do it on their behalf, GreenPath can help like they did for me. GreenPath came in and helped me to take control of the problem and get the results that I was trying to get on my own. They specialize in communicating what the consumer is trying to accomplish.

I heard about GreenPath through my bank when I closed out the account with the credit card, and my experience was good. I was in their program for three years and communicating with them was easy. It would have been better if they offer 0% interest rate.
Thank you for taking the time to review GreenPath! We are so glad you had an overall positive experience with straightforward and seamless communication. We understand why you would want no interest rates. GreenPath's Debt Management Program often results in lower interest rates, which helps you pay down the debt faster. Adjusted interest rates vary; they are based on requirements and guidelines from each individual creditor.

I had some car payments that were like 18% or 19%, something with really high APR, and I was having a hard time. And then GreenPath was able to negotiate. So, I did not do any big consolidation for everything. I just did it for one item. And then they reduced it to 12%. And then they gave me a good timing to pay for it. And I think it was 60 months. So, I started in 2021, and I finished in 2025. I was supposed to finish it in October 2025, but I had extra cash, so I just paid it off completely. So, I finished a little bit earlier.
The only thing I did not want from them was I had to pay a $50 fee every time. So, everything they reduced, I felt like I was paying it back again because I was paying a $50 fee every month all the way. So, I called them to reduce that amount, and they reduced it to $35. But I have to pay a fee the entire time that I was paying, which is their fee to operate. But they were flexible with me, so I was able to get that paid off.
And their representative was pretty good. I really like the way that they understood the situation. And then they tried to help me find a solution for it. And then they asked the question that I needed, and then they responded, and I signed it.
So, I just wanted to reduce my payments, and then I wanted to make sure that it's automatic. I wanted to make sure that it's already paid for, and that happened. But I got a few calls from my lenders asking me, because sometimes the payment did not come at the right time from GreenPath. I did not like that part. But other than that, everything was all right.

I worked with GreenPath because I felt like it was a really great option to help us get a handle on our finances and do so in a timely manner. After I described our situation in our call, they then described how they would help us. We signed up, and within a matter of a month, they had taken care of all of our negotiations with our lenders and our credit card companies and got us on a plan to pay it all off. I used their website and sometimes the app to track our progress, and both were very easy to navigate.

I first heard about GreenPath Debt Solutions while searching for debt management services online. The sign-up process was painless; I simply declared my debt situation, and they presented various options. At the time, I was working full-time and getting paid twice a month, allowing me to contribute maximally to my debt reduction.
As my circumstances changed with retirement, GreenPath was accommodating, adjusting my contributions as needed when I transitioned to Social Security payments. Occasionally, I needed to skip a payment, and they managed these situations in a way that did not negatively impact me.
When interacting with their customer service, I found both chat and voice options to be helpful, often opting for chat for convenience. The overall experience with GreenPath was excellent, especially since bankruptcy wasn't an option for me at the time. It took about four years. I finished this last month. It was pretty smooth, actually. I've recommended it to people before, too, to get out of high credit card debt. I used to be part of SchoolsFirst Credit Union back in 2020. I was asking around because I was in pretty bad debt then. I really needed to get a handle on that and I needed some support as far as where I can possibly go to have one place where I have one payment.
The beginning half working with GreenPath was great. From 2020, when I onboarded with them, they were very detailed. They went over options on what they can take. They negotiated the interest rate with the specific creditor. And from there, if we got any denials, they were very upfront with me.
I'm a pretty independent person. So, I'm not one to set it and forget it. I'm gonna go into the system and make sure that things are working well. But if I didn't do that, I would say that it didn't work as well if I wasn't being proactive after about two years with them.
A lot of people unfortunately went into debt in 2020. And so, they weren't ready for that. I feel like if I didn't onboard until 2022, I would have probably had a different experience. Everybody was super pleasant. I would go into the account and see something wasn't paid, for instance. And I would be like, "Hey, what's up? Can we pay this?" And they would do it. But it would be me proactively reaching out.
As far as the service is concerned, it was great. Fast forward to now, I just paid off everything last month. It's good to be debt-free. We recurred other debts, but nothing like it was back in 2020. I'm using my own formulas to pay my cards the smart way. I don't necessarily need them now because I have the education. But for people that don't have the education, I think it's awesome.

During the pandemic, I lost one of my jobs so I was having difficulty making payments. I called Bank of America and I was asking for an extension or a reduction in my monthly fee. They said they were unable to do that at the moment and suggested that I call GreenPath since they work with them. Since it came from Bank of America and they were trying to help me, GreenPath must have some credibility. Otherwise, Bank of America wouldn't be recommending them. I've been working with a member of Bank of America since 1974 so they had a lot of credibility with me.
I was getting desperate because I've never been late on anything so I called GreenPath. The reps explained the whole program and told me to get all my credit cards together and call back the next day. We would go over everything with the credit cards and the creditors. I got everything together, called GreenPath back and gave the reps all the information requested. They were having a little trouble negotiating a reasonable price. But within four days, everything had been negotiated. Then they told me what my monthly fee would be. They asked if I could make that and I said yes. The next month, they withdrew the money.
The representatives at GreenPath were all very nice, polite and courteous. If I called them and they weren't available, they called me right back and would text me. If I had any questions, I would just text them and they responded within 24 hours. So I never had any problem with any of the representatives. They saved my mental health and my financial future. I use the website every month to check my balance and to make sure what I was paying was being applied to each of those credit cards. It is very easy to use. I had a very good experience with GreenPath. One time, my car was totaled so I had to get another car and I didn't have any money for a car note. And GreenPath was very reasonable. I was very surprised at how easy and how nice they were, and how smoothly everything went. It was very good.

We were dealing with another company that GreenPath bought out. We're very happy we were there. We got into the debt management program that we used for a couple of years. It was very rewarding. The enrollment process was fairly simple. Customer support is always available. I use the website quite a bit to leave messages and find out anything that was going on. You could always contact them and usually get a response back within a couple of days. The phone system does leave a lot to be desired. When you call, they've updated it within the last year or so where, if you're on hold for more than five minutes, you can ask them to call you back. But up until that point, you sometimes would be on the phone for 20 minutes to a half hour to try to get through. GreenPath is a great organization that's out to help people. They seemingly keep the cost within reason, and they do a great job.

I'm very happy with GreenPath. Try them because they helped us. I was skeptical at first because we heard mixed things about debt consolidation. It was amazing. They offered the quickest, easiest solution. They asked some questions and took care of the rest. Considering where we were at that time, they took a lot of the stress out of the situation. They cleared a $10,000 debt. It became easy. I just made that one monthly payment. It helped my family. It was 240 every month. It became regular. But we couldn't get ahead on it when we were doing it alone. It was crazy because I forgot about it. They emailed and said we were done. It was a huge relief. It was worth it in the long run.

GreenPath was the most reasonable with their offering and it didn't seem like it would end up to have more expensive fees down the road. They offered payment plans that were more manageable than other companies. I went online for the enrollment and then I called in and they explained it to me. After I enrolled, there wasn't too much involvement with their customer service, and there were a couple of times where I had issues with the app. Other than that, overall, it was fine. It would have been nice to get more updates about what was paid off without having to go look into the app.

I did the program for my credit cards four years ago, and last month, I finally paid everything off. It's interesting because I left one credit card for myself, and even in four years, I was not able to finish it. I finished the ones that I enrolled with the company because of my commitment to the program, because there was no way to not pay. I paid $10 per account, which was totally manageable in terms of how much debt I had, because I had a lot. That’s something people can do.
GreenPath was very flexible with me as well. They helped a lot, and it was amazing. I have such high praise for the company because they were always willing to figure out with me how to help. GreenPath is a program where there's not much of a case manager leading you along. You just have a dashboard and you have to self-check to make sure that things are going the way that you've been led to believe, or to make sure that everything's being paid in a particular fashion. GreenPath tells you that initially, but they don't put emphasis on that. While it is assisting you with reducing those finance charges, there is not gonna be a person checking with you or keeping you up to speed. You have to do that yourself. I had some contact with somebody but I would have liked to have someone that was observing what was happening because in the end, there were some issues that could have been costly for me, if I had not looked back at it.
GreenPath sent me a completion letter so I figured that I had completed the program. But there were still some outstanding balances that hadn't been completely paid off by GreenPath. There were some miscalculations and how I found out about it was just happenstance looking at something else. There were a few different accounts that had minimum amounts. One particular card which I never had any late payments on had a charge as a late payment because it wasn't made. I thought it was paid off, but it still had $33 left on it. A couple of cards had couple hundred dollars left on them as well. Initially, GreenPath was estimating the debt. But along the way, that estimate should have been revisited to make sure that we finished the way we were supposed to but they didn't do that. The program was supposed to take four and a half years, and that was another little discrepancy that I had.

I made a phone call and GreenPath got the information. I had a little trouble at the beginning because the phone number I was calling was an 800 number but eventually, I got a local number which sped things up. This was my second time going through a program with GreenPath, so I didn't have a lot of questions. I knew that they were above board and honest, and that I didn't have to worry that I was being taken advantage of. The program was difficult because I had to rearrange my thinking and my finances to make ends meet. But I knew it was worth it because I didn't want to declare bankruptcy. I knew at some point that I was going to need to be able to get another car and I didn't think that I'd be able to do that if I were in a bankruptcy. So I had to bite the bullet and do what I had to do and work with GreenPath.
During the pandemic when, prices started to rise and they let me reduce the amount I was paying per month so that I could make ends meet. Aside from that, as a member of a credit union, I did not have to pay a monthly fee to GreenPath. I've learned from this experience that I need to pay better attention to what I'm doing and not try to get everything I want. I need to make sure I've got everything I need, that I can't do everything I would like to do for my family, and that they have to be more self-sufficient as well. Now I am back on track in terms of not owing a lot of people. I have seven pairs of glasses for five people that I'm trying to pay for, and now I can pay more on that. I'm excited to have a path forward where I can do what I need to do without being totally stretched out and stressed out.

GreenPath Financial Wellness helped me in a time when I needed that help. The enrollment was nice and smooth, and we liked it. But we are happy that it's over with. The plan was nice and we liked it.
Visa by Chase said that we could do nothing, but we have to put that as a late payment, whereas my impression was that we would resolve it in an amicable manner rather than have a late payment by Visa. GreenPath took care of it, the other side, which is the Visa or Chase decided or maybe that's their policy to put a late payment on my credit for a long time until it was paid. That was a little situation that I thought could happen better between GreenPath and Visa. Other than that, GreenPath has been taking money like we discussed. And it was good. GreenPath Financial Wellness worked with me. They contacted the debtors that I owed money to. They negotiated interest rates for me. And they were there for support when I had issues during the course of the program. I went through the program during the whole pandemic, and shortly after I began, we were out of work for months and couldn't come up with that money today. They helped counsel me as to we could take a few weeks off. We could change my payment date. And over the years that I was on the program, if anything like that happened again, they were there for me to tell me, "All right, we can move this around." They were flexible, kind, informative and never said no. It was my program, my money, but they were honest that, "We can do it, but we really need to maybe make a payment next month." So, they were very helpful and knowledgeable about what would be best.
I finished the program within the last couple of months and it takes a little while for everything to catch up because I'm still getting letters from creditors saying, "Thank you for paying off." So, things are still falling off my credit report. People think that it would immediately increase their credit rating but it takes time. It took time to get into the hole and it would take time to dig out of it. I paid off almost $40,000 in debt. It's a lot of money. And it took me time to get into that position. I'm not worried about the number anymore, which is a big change. The number is important in things that we do and need to do in this society we live in, but it's not all about the money. It's about going to sleep at night and knowing I don't owe $40,000 anymore.

When they went from two payments a month to one payment a month, I just had to get adjusted to that. It used to be that they would take it out each time I got paid, which for me was twice a month.
It's an easy way to apply. I've shared that with people already. I'm a state employee and I told them if you belong to the credit union, you need help, go to GreenPath. I told them that initially, they have to get used to that once a month payment. However, when I think about what I paid three times a month, it didn't equal to it. So, I got used to it quickly. My only question was toward the end. Because I misread my statement and December setup, my balance was such and such. It looked like I would be finished in January. But I misread, took my payment to a partial payment in February. So, I ended up getting a refund. Other than that, the program worked excellent for me. My goal five years ago was to become debt-free. GreenPath took a lot of my debt, consolidated them, and helped me pay them off. They guided me through the process with no problems. The enrollment process was painless and didn't take that long. GreenPath is the way to go if you have a lot of debt. They could put everything on one lump sum and get it done.

The person from GreenPath that I spoke to until the end was very nice. She was professional. She was good. At the end of the program, she appreciated me. She congratulated me. So, I was satisfied. In the beginning, I never had a problem either. They explained everything to me and how everything was gonna go on. I was staying with my account, and I make sure that when the time came, I had funds available. It was not easy, but I did it. I finished paying my debt. I'm happy I'm debt-free now.

GreenPath helped me consolidate and I didn't have to worry about the payment and they took it out automatically. It was the answer to my problem. With the payment being a set amount, I didn't have to remember how much I had to save from one paycheck to the next. That was the best part. What a relief it was to know that I didn't have to worry about six cards. I had one payment and it really changed my whole outlook on life. It was really quite a shock that I was done already with it. They said it'd probably be closer to five years that I'd be caught up and it was just a little bit past three years.

I was gonna go into the debt relief program which would have involved lawyers and more drama, even though it would have cost me less. Throughout my time in the GreenPath program, there were lots of people trying to convert me back over to the debt management program. The program at GreenPath took a lot of stress off of me at the time when something really bad came up. That way, I wouldn’t have to pay about a couple of thousand dollars a month to these creditors and I still had the creditors satisfied, not nipping at me with collections while I was trying to fix everything. Their customer support was always easy. My only complaint sometimes was the long hold period. Sometimes, I'd be on hold for 30 minutes or more. But that was the worst part of it.

When we were starting, the man really explained everything where we felt confident that this was the right choice for us. He was very knowledgeable. At that time, I had a lot of questions, but he answered them to the point where we made the choice to go with GreenPath. Their program worked for us. They negotiated lower interest rates (one interest rate was 1.7% and the other was a little over 5%) and it enabled us to put more money towards the principal every month. They did the math to figure out how many months it was gonna take and told us what the amount was gonna be.
We knew the dates that GreenPath was gonna be debiting our checking account, and a couple of days before a specific date, they would send a reminder text for that. There was always a running total on the website too. Everything went very smoothly, and I've never had to call GreenPath with an issue. The only times I spoke with someone was when we started and when we finished. We were very happy with everything that they did, and we made a referral to my husband's son. I explained how GreenPath worked for us, and he's gonna be contacting them.

Also, it's very easy to use the app and track everything, so it made my life much easier. The reps were helpful. Got straight to the point and everything handled. Because I had a pay cut, they asked what I was able to afford or my income at the time. That was how we figured out the payment, which didn't hurt me. Everything worked out fine.

When I needed GreenPath's customer support, they were always available. I had a couple of credit card debts and instead of paying each creditor person, they put it all down to one payment for me and it was cheaper. It was nice to just have one payment instead of five payments. Their reps asked a bunch of questions, contacted the creditors, made sure that the creditors were okay with having them pay it, and they paid off all of my debt, and then I just had to pay GreenPath back. The payment plan was very negotiable and I loved it.
I had the mobile app to track the progress of the program. I just finished my program with them. It helped me out a lot with budgeting and being able to pay some other stuff off while paying lower payments. I would recommend GreenPath. It's an amazing program. Instead of having however many payments that you have, you only have one payment and it's a lower payment. It's gonna take a couple of years to pay it off, but it's a loan and it helps out your credit.

Sometimes it would take a long period of time to get to a representative. But I could get to one and I would not have to chat.
I'm done. I celebrate every day. I got some residuals. But the things I wanted to take care of were taken care of. I still have Discover on the outside, but it works okay. And I've talked to the reps about trying to do something with Discover, but we've been down that path before and we know what the deal is. Every month I pay and the next month I pay less. Anytime I had any kind of question or concern, that was never an issue. They were always willing to help in any way that they could.
I spoke with different representatives, but they all were nice and kind. They have a chat feature on the website, and sometimes, I would just sit on the chat waiting, and nobody would ever come on. I found that it was more helpful to call them. I had more luck getting somebody on the phone.
GreenPath was flexible if I needed to reschedule one of my payments that was gonna come out for the month. During Covid, when I was having some issues with bill payments, they were really understanding and flexible. That was really good. GreenPath partnered with the credit union that I was using. When I was exploring ways to deal with the debt that I had, that was one thing that came up in my research. There was no cost due to the partnership that they had and I trusted them just because I had good experience and figured that it was extra trustworthy that they had a partnership with the credit union.
There was a very friendly and nice lady with GreenPath. She gave off the sense that she cared about my situation and wanted to help. It wasn't salesy. It was emotional for me, so it was nice to talk to someone that seemed like they cared and knew how to support me. There were one or two calls initially and they essentially explained what they did and asked me a lot of questions to find information about my debt, my budget, and what I could afford to pay as a monthly payment to pay all my debt. They put all that information together and presented it to the credit card companies. Once it was confirmed, it was just automatic payments until the very end.
My payment plan was based off of my expenses at the time, my rent, how much I paid for cell phone, any other bills or obligations that I had, all the way down to what I was spending on groceries and any activities. GreenPath backward planned to find a number that was livable for me but would allow me to pay off the debt in a few years.
It was very easy to track my progress. I got monthly statements in my email. GreenPath also had an app that I could log into. It showed me what month I was on and what creditors I had agreements with. I paid the balance a little early because I had one. My balance was low enough that I could do a lump payment to complete it. I called them one last time to do that. This week I started to get all the letters from my credit card companies with the $0 balance showing that everything has been completed.
GreenPath allowed me to understand and manage my finances better. They set me up for smarter decisions and an easier future as it relates to money. It was a great program that set me up for success based on my situation. I would suggest giving them a call and see if the same would be for you. Never be afraid to ask for help. In my case with GreenPath, it was just two short conversations that allowed me to have a plan forward. I wish I did it sooner but I am happy I definitely did it.
Thank you for this thoughtful review, Christopher. Thank you for suggesting others give GreenPath a call. We hear often that people wish they had called sooner. We are so glad you took that first step and were able to have a positive path forward. Congratulations on starting to receive those $0 balance letters, you did it!

I gave them an approximate of how much and then they reached out to the consumer and saw what they could come up with as far as a figure that would be a reasonable monthly to pay. I had no idea that this could work out well. So, I'm grateful. GreenPath Financial Wellness is a great service. It took me four years to pay off the debt consolidation. Four years ago, I lived in New York City and they offer these free financial counseling. I went to that. And the gentleman was very helpful. He suggested I do the consolidation because I was in a bad place with my credit card. And he said that New York City recommends two debt consolidation companies. GreenPath was one of them. At the time they had a physical office on 34th Street in New York. I went and I met somebody face to face.
It was a blessing to me because I was so frightened. I had the zero APR cards, and they all turned over at the same time. I've been being very responsible at the time. And my minimum payment for one of them was over $200 a month. I would have been paying that for a year. That was just to pay the interest. I went in there. Ther rep was so helpful that within 15 minutes, the guy was, "This is what we can do. And this is what your payment is going to be." After that, it was all done through emailing. It was honest. And I never had any problem until the end.
I had looked into it years ago. And they made me give up all my credit cards. But this, I didn't. Because you have to have a credit card in this world. And the interest rate was reduced extremely. One of the cards went from 22% down to 2%. The account was closed just for the debt consolidation. The highest interest that I was paying on one when it was all settled was 9%. Which they were all in the 25% range. He said, "Well, we have to have confirm it. I have to contact all your cards and make sure and make the deal. But this is what I think we can get. And this is what I think your payment will be." And it was exactly what he said.
GreenPath said it would take between four and a half to five years to pay it off. So, I came to understand recently that they couldn't tell because they charge a $10 per account fee when they pay it off. So once you pay one off, they start applying your money to the others that are left. But they take away the $10 fee every month. So, it frees up more money.
I felt secure because the guy from the city had said, "These are the companies that we recommend. We know they're honest." I had three credit cards that I was paying off. When I started, I was paying 250 a month and 30 of that was the maintenance fee for three cards. And once one card got paid off, my maintenance fee was only 20. That made up more money to be applied to the actual debt of the cards. One couldn't know for sure when you would end up paying it off.
I had trusted them well. And they were very good the whole time. But I was looking at my credit cards online, and I could still view this one credit card that I had been paying off through GreenPath. I noticed that there was a surplus of payment. So, I called them right away the next day. And I wasn't happy with the reply. The rep said that happens sometimes. And the reason why was because I was done. That was my last account, and it had been paid off. And they took another payment for a month, which was not necessary. And she said, "We don't always know when the accounts are paid off." I was disappointed.
She was very nice. And she said, "We're gonna refund the money. Don't worry about it. We just have to check it." It was okay because I applied it to another credit card from the same company. But I found that disturbing because I thought their software should be programmed that they would get a notice, "This person is paid off." I feel bad because they were perfect other than that thing at the end. If I hadn't seen it, I would have kept getting money taken out.
Thank you for your review, Liz. It is a big step to walk into one of our offices, we are glad you did. Congratulations on completing your Debt Management Program! We apologize for the confusion at the end of your program, but are glad you had an otherwise positive experience.

I had to get all my bills and paperwork together. It took a bit but it was worth it. Three years later, the service wasn't free anymore but we liked it enough that we started paying the monthly fee. The only reason I left is because I don’t have that many debts left, so it wasn’t really worth it to pay the fee. Other than that, working with them was great. The enrollment process at GreenPath was really simple and the reps were very helpful. I felt very comfortable working with them. Setting up the payment plan was very nice and easy. I have everything paid off now, so it worked for sure. I had another checking account at the time and I forgot to put money in the account that GreenPath came out of so it got returned. I called them and they were really nice and they didn't charge any fees. They just said, “It's okay. It happens.” Their program got me out of debt, which was really nice. In the past, I had done Discover and secured loans, but that was a little different because I was taking on more debt doing that. I was very happy with GreenPath. I've told quite a few people about them.
Congratulations on completing your program! We are glad you had such a positive experience with GreenPath. Thank you for telling others about us!

During the pandemic, the rates were raised from 8% and 11% to 29%. It was a $27,000 credit card debt, and it made it impossible. GreenPath negotiated with the credit card companies and dropped the interest rate down to 10%. They have great service. They're very responsive.

The program has worked. I did one period of time with them, and they said my period of time was ending. And then I asked them, is it possible to continue with them? They allowed me to do so. But I just got a letter from them saying it's time again so I'm curious if they'll allow me another session of them assisting me to pay my debt or not. But as far as I'm concerned, it's been a complete success. I was impressed by the kindness and openness of the reps and the fact that they don't judge me. They're 100% there to help me. The enrollment process with GreenPath was easy. All they needed was the information about the creditors that I wanted to sign up with, and they let me know how much it would be monthly, which was financially good for me. I'm done with the program. I didn't have a problem when I was enrolled with them. The creditor got their money on time. So, I didn't run into any problems. Home Depot was my last creditor to pay off, and it's paid off. I did talk to someone recently that said that my payment has been paid off and I was supposed to get a credit for $22. They did tell me that if I got any notification or anybody calls about me on more money through Home Depot, I have to let them know. I didn't get anything for Home Depot. In fact, when I called Home Depot, they told me that I owe like 40 cents, and they couldn't waive that until the 22nd of this month. I have to call back to get that 40 cents waived.

The GreenPath agent said that if I got on the program, I was gonna see my credit flourish and go up every month. But that was not true at all. I talked to another agent about a year into the program and I asked what the deal was because I haven't missed any payment. I was told this and it's not happening. And the other agent I talked to with GreenPath said that was not how it works. My credit's gonna go up once each card gets paid off. Also, I was under the impression that skipping a payment was okay and that it wouldn't have any negative effects on me paying back or staying consistent with the payments. They told me if I needed to skip a payment, if I was experiencing financial hardships, that I could. But they didn't tell me that they weren't gonna give any money to the credit card company I owed and it ended up being reported to my credit.
Hi Emily,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. The purpose of the DMP is to repay creditors. There are many factors that impact credit score, payment history has the most impact.
With regards to skipping a deposit your GreenPath account, while the creditor may allow/be okay with a client to skip a monthly payment, the account will fall past due. GreenPath cannot pay a clients credit card without receiving the money to make the payment.
Your account will be reviewed and feedback provided as needed to employees. It is important that our employees explain expectations as outlined in your signed agreement. Thank you for your detailed review - we appreciate it!

The reps answered all my questions when I called them. When I was confused about something, they straightened it out. The service was good. I was happy to get out of debt. I only had once incident when I missed a couple of payments and I didn't know that when I made a payment, it wouldn't go to the previous creditor. Instead, they paid the people that was on the schedule for the next payment. So if I missed two payments in two months, that would be two months that that specific creditor wasn't paid. They told me, they said, "Well, we didn't receive payment, and so we turned the account off." I'm still working to try and get that straightened out.

I thought I would need all my bills. But when GreenPath Financial Wellness pulled up my credit report, they saw what was on my credit. That was wonderful because there's no way I would have found them all. They took out a certain amount every designated time of the month that I knew the money would be available. And they dispersed it to the different bill people. When I got to the last $300, I went ahead and called them and wanted to pay them off. It took me two years to pay off 10 bills and the highest one was approximately 3,000. They were great.
GreenPath has always led me to make the right decision. They told me what to expect and what to do after I finished paying the bill. They called the creditor and made sure that there was no residual money that has not been added on. So, in each creditor that I paid off, I called GreenPath, they told me if I had a couple of pennies or a couple of dollars. I just went on there and paid it. I would call them back and tell them what I had done. And it didn't take long for them to upgrade my account, stating what was paid off and submitted it to the credit bureaus. I've been out of debt a few times. But paying on time was always an issue because I always waited until the last minute. But with GreenPath, they paid it. The APRs were lower. So, I just paid off the last couple of ones last month. My credit score is excellent and I'm so pleased.

GreenPath was Clarifi when I started. The transition was smooth. They let us know every step of the way so that made me comfortable to stay with them. Once my profile was made, I spoke to a financial person who discussed how the program worked, what they were gonna try to do, what my payments would be, how long the program would last for me, and if I agreed or not.
The program was the best decision I ever made. I had five credit cards in the program that went to one payment. I didn't have to do anything. It automatically came out of my account on a day I picked for an amount I approved. The other biggest thing was I felt like I was throwing hundreds of dollars on my credit cards a month. I was not being late or missing payments, but I wasn't making any advancements on getting the total balance down. With GreenPath, someone was doing this for me and that I knew that it was slowly coming down because they renegotiated interest rates. Once one was paid off, that money went to another credit card versus something else that I probably would have spent it on. That helped get my balances down.
There was never that long of a wait time. When you're dealing with credit card companies, a lot of times, you're waiting forever or passed around. With GreenPath, the reps are very pleasant. Even when you called worried and asked stupid questions, you never felt judged or they were never angry. They made me feel comfortable in the program.

The only thing was that they had an office here in the city where I was at, but then they closed the office. They worked out of the office out of Detroit. But it was nice to have that personal time, one on one or if there was something I need to discuss, I could have gone into the office myself and worked with a person versus over the phone. It became a little non-personalized after the office closed.

We had a plan for five years with GreenPath but I finished it in four. I had initial contact with them when they were gathering my information and working out a program for me. Other than that, it was all electronic. I never encountered any problems where I would have to reach out back to them. Everything was clear, smooth, and straightforward.
I was drowning in debt. This all happened as COVID happened and everything was shut down. Hours were cut back at work. I wasn't making the same amount of money. Neither was my husband. It was a big weight off our shoulders because we no longer were accruing any APR. They close down your account, but they work with what you have and what you can afford. That was a big stress reliever. Usually, when you have a high-interest credit card, most of it goes to interest and very little goes to your actual balance. It feels like you're never leaving that hole. So, when all that happened, it was a turnaround. I could start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It was great.
Their customer support was also great. They had a newsletter. They also had periodic emails that they would send out, reaching out, saying like, “We're here for you if you have ever have any questions or concerns about your program.” It was really nice. I also like the fact that it's a nonprofit. They're doing it to help the consumer. It was great to be a part of the program where they could help me, but at the same time, whatever small fee they charge goes towards helping someone else as needed. So, it was nice to come full circle.

GreenPath Financial Wellness was the best. They said the right things, about how they would work with me. I called them and told them my credit card debt. They got back to me and they made out a payment plan. First time, I paid $145 a month, and I upped it to $180. I would always log in and check my account. They set me up with an ID and the password. It's easy to log in and log out. I scroll down on my credit cards, clicked on that, show me what my balance was. And it also showed how many more months I have to pay on it. And it kept updated. Sometimes, I got logged out so I had to call them. And they would reset my password and gave me a pin at the log in. I also called them if I had questions. And they would tell me, "This is right." The rep kept me updated on everything. GreenPath helped me get everything paid off and I'm out of debt.
If I had to miss a payment, I would call and ask them if I could make it next month, and they would say yes. So, it gave me an extra month to get it paid off. I would have it paid off in 62 months. But they upped it to 65 months. That's how I got it paid off. I've been telling my brother about GreenPath. I would have him call them and set up a plan, and get his big debt paid off.

It was easier to get started with GreenPath. Also, I can log in and look at my progress. But if it has been a year and we want to talk to somebody, they should just let us talk to someone and review things. We might wanna refresh over paying these creditors back and looking at the credit report again. Or just review credit and getting feedback on it. Other than that, it was affordable. So even though I made small payments, I was still able to get things paid off that I may not have paid if I didn't try to give them anything. It's still a good service. I'm happy.

I don’t remember anyone’s name, including the very first person who picked up the phone on me. And she told me, five years ago, that she would be my “primary,” whatever that means. I was in a tough spot with some credit cards a few years ago and I called the 800 number for Chase, which was one of our credit cards. I was going through all the menu options and one of the choices was, “If you need consumer credit counseling, click here." That gave a choice of three different places and one of them was GreenPath. I randomly chose that one.
I had to call and talk to one of their people on the phone. They pull the credit report. We also went over verbally what the different debts were and things that I had. They came up with a biweekly payment plan and we went from there. They immediately went and got all the agreements and everything set up. I was approved right away because it was not like a loan or anything like that. They're just calling your existing creditors and negotiating with them to lower your rates then getting all your creditors to agree to a payment plan.
Customer service was quite professional and my experience was fine. Once the payment plan was set up, I didn't have any need to interact with them on a regular basis. I just made my payment every two weeks and I checked my balances through their website. I called GreenPath mid-January and within two to three weeks, the collection calls from the creditors all stopped. I had begun my payment plan through them. That was the biggest impact to my life because they renegotiated everything with all the creditors. I could finally take a breath.
There was also getting the rate lowered. I had at least one car that was 23% and GreenPath got it negotiated to 0% for an interest rate. I still had to pay back all the principal. No balances were forgiven or reduced but just the rates being lowered enabled me to make some headway again. If you have a need for this type of a service, I would recommend GreenPath.

GreenPath led me to believe that they were going to be paying off one credit card at a time then applying the money to pay off the next credit card. That was not what they did. What they did was pay off all of the credit cards within the amount that would pay them off all at the same time. If they had done the former, then my credit score would have slowly been going up because I would’ve been paying off debt. But because they did it all at once, my credit score didn't change at all during my time with them. I wasn't thrilled with that. I was glad I was getting my cards paid off but I wasn't crazy about that method they used.
They didn't report anything to me as to how things were progressing. I had to call them. They also told me it would be a five-year program. But I found out it was going to be a six-year program. I've been looking forward to getting it all paid off in five years. But I guess I wasn't paying them quite enough to meet my balances. They were taking $50 a month for their services, and I was paying them $640 a month. So $590 was going to build. I didn't mind doing that. If I'd have had the discipline to do it myself, I'd have saved myself $50 a month, which isn't pocket change. But the program has been a success for me. I was with the program four years and paid off 80% of my debt in that time when I was able to not go into further debt. I was pleased with that. Would I do it again? Yes. At the same time, I might take a different route, save myself the $50, and figure out how to get the payments made and have the discipline to do that.

So we followed the schedule. The reps knew what they were talking about. Everything went real smooth. It was like taking a burden off me in a way. The cost is perfect for me because they did exactly what I needed them to do and I'm debt-free now.
Working with GreenPath was really cool because if I got in a situation where I couldn't make the payment and I didn't have the money, they would work with me and we could make the payment at a date that I could make it. So it made things easy for me. So now, I'm used to making payments. If I have to make payments on a credit card, I make scheduled payments rather than just paying the minimum balance on things. Customer service was helpful and readily available. They were knowledgeable and knew what to do. I only called them again when I was getting ready to pay everything off and close it up. I paid a weekly fee and they just chopped away at my debt. I didn't want to pay that weekly amount but it was easier than just watching myself go further and further into the hole and not be able to pay at all. I'm done with the program now.
Congratulations on completing your DMP! We love hearing how the program has positively impacted you!

Enrolling with GreenPath was pretty straightforward and needed a little involvement. They were flexible, too. But at the very end, I was only paying $100 a month and they were getting 10% of that, which was kind of steep.

I had a good experience with GreenPath. It was an easy process to get started. They were also flexible and they gave me a plan that I was comfortable with, so it was a good thing. It was also something that came out of my account automatically, so didn't have to remember to make my payments on time. Everybody was kind and I never had any problems.

I didn't manage my money well for a little while and it got out of hand, and GreenPath helped me out a lot. They did a good job. They contacted all of my debtors and they got lower payments and interest rates. I had to give GreenPath a certain amount of money every month.
Thank you for sharing your experience, Steve!

GreenPath’s program was the most outstanding thing I have ever been through. It is super simple to set up and then just forget about it and let it run in the background. There's a website that keeps you informed of every single penny and wherever every single penny goes, you never have a question where a dollar is going and when something's not paid off. It is awesome. There was one rep who set it up but every time you call, anybody that you get is just as knowledgeable. The website is designed by somebody that's shockingly good at it because you hardly ever have questions. You can just watch what's happening. Over the years, I may have had to call three times with a question about terms, like one of the credit cards being paid off. You always get a thing that tells you to check and make sure it's 0 because if cents could be left, they can charge you late fees of cents.
You can run credit cards up and you're screwed forever without somebody on your side that can negotiate. But by working with GreenPath, most of them went to very low, like 1% and I finished the program in four and three months. It was a five-year program and I paid $600 every two weeks. I've recommended GreenPath. I know six people that went on the program because of me and they were just as shocked and amazed. Some people are just not able to handle it. You've got to stick with it. $1,200 a month is a lot of money but you know that if you do it, it will finally get paid off.
Thank you, Gavin! We are glad our GreenPath portal provided everything you needed to understand your program and keep you informed. Congratulations on your accomplishment!

Somebody referred me to GreenPath to help take care of my credit card debt. I realized that I would have to not use the credit card anymore, but I was with it. They told me they could get the interest rate down, and how we'll have to pay this bill every month and make sure that I make the payment. I got it down to about seven grand, and I just paid it off. I was 19,000 in debt just on one credit card alone. They also offered to help me to consolidate all the credit cards that I had. I probably could have been out of credit card debt if I listened to the representative on the phone that day. They were trying to give me some good pointers. GreenPath was good. I’m grateful for it. They took the payment on time. They reached out to me and made sure that I knew. If anybody was having some debt problems and was trying to figure out how to pay it or get rid of it in a sensible way, I will recommend that they reach out to GreenPath.

I love GreenPath. I was with them for about four years and seven months. Everything was great because they never bothered me. They receive my message when something changes. When I called to ask for something, they would give me the right answer or explain to me what was what. I highly recommend GreenPath to anybody. They helped me to get out of my debts and I appreciated that. I kept up to date and looked online. The process took a long time but I was so happy. I already paid for everything.
The bank gave my sister-in-law money to pay the court on her debits. She turned around and used them again. I said, "No, no, no, you should have stayed with something like GreenPath where you can use it that way." She cannot ask for a loan anymore because she already has a new upgrade on what she has. I like GreenPath because sometimes if you're given money, you use it to pay off and you get tempted and use it again.

GreenPath was wonderful, and I wish I knew about it a long time ago. The people, the service that I get from it and the explanation of what we're doing made it good. It was easy to walk through, and now, I’m out of debt. The timeframe was not something that I was worried about, and GreenPath didn't push me. There was a goal that was set. "That's what we're gonna do. And this is how much that we need to put down." There were times when they told me if something came up, I could always inform them so we could figure out a different way. If I skip one payment, I could make up for it.

The people that I talked to from GreenPath were really helpful and I ended up going with them right off the bat. I had a credit card that I was swimming in and they helped me get the interest charges almost down to zero. That way, what I was paying towards it was going towards the principal. We went over my income and the distribution of my income, which wasn't a lot at the time. They gave me advice on budgeting in addition to helping me set up the repayment as well. I don't think I would have that card paid off now if I hadn't done the program. I would fully recommend others to seek out GreenPath if that was a need that they had.

Everybody was wonderful, and they listened to the whole story. Greenpath helped me because it was only one payment. They saved the money and made all the payments. I've had to do change the date a couple of times over the five years that I spent with them, and as long as I called with enough time, they were kind and changed it. All the representatives assisted me in my own language, which is Spanish, and they were very pleasant. I called a couple of times out of the office time for questions. One time, I tried to call on a Saturday, but then I realized that they have certain times. When I was trying to not forget the question, I just left a message on the website, and they usually responded to me 24 hours later.
At the beginning, I didn’t feel like going with Greenpath was a good decision because my credit score went down very bad than it already was and my accounts were closed. But now, I feel that it was the best, because I didn’t have to pay all those charges, APRs and late fees. The day when I made the last payment, I noticed my score went down and I got worried, but last night, I noticed that the score went up 35 points. Now, I’m on good standing with my credit score.
Hola Karina,

Hi Karina,
Thank you for taking the time to provide a detailed review. We know paying off debt is not easy and there may be some bumps along the way. We are happy to hear that our bilingual staff were able to assist you and make necessary changes on your account.
I know others may question if signing up with GreenPath may cause uncertainty and question if it was a good idea. In order to get concessions from creditors, the accounts are closed by the creditors, which can be uncomfortable at first. When creditor accounts are closed or if an account falls 30 days late while transitioning onto the DMP, a client may see a change in their credit score. There are many factors that play into a credit score and it can change from day to day. Below is a link regarding credit scores you may find helpful.

GreenPath was fabulous. The application process didn't take long, as long as you had your information. It was just giving them the account numbers and phone numbers for the contacts. And if I had a statement, I could upload it. So, it was very easy and their reps were so helpful. It wasn't like I was talking to someone and they pushed me off on someone else. If I had a question, they immediately answered it and if I wanted to make extra payments, they didn't give me any hassle. Then, if I had one little debt that was only $50, I would pay it out. Then, I would ask for my overall payment to be reduced since that was paid off and they gave me no issue about that.
They reduced my payments in half, if not more, than what I was normally paying by myself. They were taking that one payment from me and handling the disbursement. But when I was ready to pay everything off, they said that they could handle that. I had to wait another cycle and they made me aware of it. The only difficulty I had was that when I’ve made payments through GreenPath, I had to call each creditor to confirm that those payments have been made. But that was a simple process that showed where I made that lumpsum payment to GreenPath. And the credit bureau as well as the company that the mortgage company used reached out to all of my creditors and confirmed it.

My husband passed away and I'm a widow now, so I tried to lower my payments for my car. The credit union, Blackhawk Credit Union, referred me to GreenPath, and with everything going on with the prices, I reached out for help. GreenPath was really good, and I enjoyed the program. On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd give their customer service over the phone a 10. They always answered my questions and their math was the same as mine. "When am I done paying for this car?" "Oh, ma'am, you probably need to call the credit union." "Oh, come on now, I'm dealing with you guys." They really helped me out. Initial contract with James ** was excellent. I needed a letter for a reverse mortgage. My credit is perfect and it went through without a hitch. However since then I have been inundated with phone calls and emails to improve my credit. I have made numerous attempts to stop these to no avail. Today I called again and was treated rudely by an agent who demanded a passcode. I explained that I have cancer and I don't recall code and there must be another way. I offered name, phone, address, social to no avail. He hung up om me! I phoned again and held for 19 minutes. Reached Cathy who quickly resolved issue with my phone #. Previous agent needs to be educated and reprimanded. Highly competitive business but they won't get any more of mine or anyone I know. Once they get your $, which is more than any other company, good customer service vanishes.
Hi Courtney,
I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge your disappointment with James and the call will be reviewed. I see that GreenPath placed the required follow-ups with you and I do not see that GreenPath called or emailed about improving credit. Your service was specifically related to obtaining a reverse mortgage. As you requested on 5/25, your telephone number has been removed.
Wishing you all the best with your reverse mortgage.
