The story about Credit Solution, don't let them fool you; they never help you. I have bad experience with them. They got me paying almost $2000.00 and they help me. I help myself talking with the creditor. If one day you want to resolve your debt, it is better to do it yourself because Credit Solution is a company that only takes money from you and fool you. 100 percent promise and they never move one hand. I hope somebody will help with this kind of company. They are still in the market only to steel from the poor people.

I left multiple messages, after I was put on hold for 15 - 20 minutes, and trying all previous extensions. I had worked on trying to reach them in the past, only to unsuccessfully getting disconnected and no response, from this company this week. I have sent 4 or more email requests to contact me, but to no avail. It appears that they closed up shop, since I couldn't get through, from the customer line, or new prospect line. Please report this, and assist future customers from going through this terrible experience I'm going through. The issue on my account is still unresolved.

When I signed on with them in 2007, the person I spoke to gave me the impression that part of the fees I would be paying would go toward helping pay off my debts. I found out later that was not the case at all. I managed to have two small debts settled through them, but they were unable to do anything that I couldn't do better with on my own with other larger debts. Now that they have been completely paid, I no longer get any emails about settlement offers and their website does not seem to function fully. I feel that I paid a lot of money, near $10-$12K, for absolutely nothing.

I wish this website sharing the complaints on Credit Solutions was available to me the spring of 2008. Visiting it today has reassured me that I am not alone in my distaste and distrust of Credit Solutions which failed to meet the obligations within our contract. Not only is their website down, today I was told that the system is also down and they would have to call me back which is a consistently broken promise.

Lengthy waiting times on hold, 25 min. and more. Failed delivery of what was promised to regularly work with my creditors. Often my previous conversations and faxes have not been documented or filed, leaving me to recite the history of my several attempts to communicate. Once I do get connected, I wait more time while that person is searching for the last person I spoke with instead of picking up where the other left off. Later, I am told that they no longer work there. The person I spoke with last Thursday promised to call back and I have still not heard from him. I have placed 3 calls since then and they keep on leaving message reminders to Andrew to call me back. This goes all the time and often throws the account into a deeper and more expensive ravine. On 3 accounts, I ended up reversing the power of attorney in order to settle directly with the creditor and got a better deal for it. My creditors have produced a log of contacts to this company about my accounts both by phone and mail yet they receive no more response than I.

I do not believe Credit Solutions has any type of log or plan for that matter to fulfill our contract. This company doesn't settle anything. It only causes a stressful relationship between me and the creditor to deteriorate. The only good thing I can say about this company is that they bought me time and helped me to realize that I could have done this directly with my creditors for far less money. I have ended up doing all the work and made it worse on myself by investing too much time following up with them to do their own job. The fee that I was charged is based on the percentage of the total debt. The end result is that the few dollars they mildly negotiated is far less than what was contracted and paid for.

They have taken the web site down. I have paid them over 2 years with little or no results. The recent withdrawal from my account was for Augur, Inc. I have no clue who that is and I was not notified of any changes. I should only have one payment left but have no way to verify or stop them. I'm very dissatisfied with the service for the huge cost. If a class action law suit is filed, I want to be included. This is absolutely a rip off. I did more on my own then they ever thought of and I am no farther ahead then when I started.

Much like the other complaints here, CSA did nothing for us. In fact, they cost us more than if we just paid them what we owed. Of the 6 creditors we submitted, the three were settled myself faster and at a better rate than what they were trying to get. The other three all ended with judgments against us. The first was Capital One. Capital One informed me at the hearing that they submitted a settlement to CSA at about $1000 less than what the total owed was. I was never informed. Now because we could pay, they've sued, got a judgment and placed a lien on my home. The 2nd was my wife's Capital One and the same thing happened there. The third was an account that a settlement was reached, payment arrangements were made, but the payments apparently either never reached the creditor or CSA forgot to withdraw them. In either case, the creditor resumed collections.

When I informed CSA, I received no response. I finally did get a hold of someone when I sent them a copy of the claim to suit. CSA's response was, "oh, we ignored it because we assumed it was an error and that the payments crossed with their letters". Hello! This was a year later! I filed several complaints with CSA, including asking for a full refund because they guaranteed to settle my debts and they did nothing of the sort. I'm wondering if anyone has considered a class action suit against CSA? I would love to sue them for what they charged me, plus any extra for the 3 creditors that they botched the settlements.

Credit Solutions has been calling my phone number constantly looking for someone who I am not, who I do not know, who I am not related to, and who I do not even share a similar name. The automated message system does not work. The recording gives you number choices if you are, or are not that person, but it repeats the message over and over again no matter what you type. I have talked to several people several times at the company to fix the problem but it continues. I just talked to someone again tonight and he assured me that it would be resolved. This is not the first time I have heard this.

I was advised that I should still try to pursue this since I trusted this company in July of 2007. Shortly thereafter, April/May of 2008, I had to file bankruptcy as they did not handle my debts as they told me they would. Here is my information on the series of the events from then.

I am writing to inform your company that your ridiculously late email informing me that Capital One has accepted a settlement for my account has come too late. I must explain why, and then also inform you that I insist that you no longer assist me with my credit. Here is why. Back on March 10th 2008 or a day or two within that date, I spoke to a representative for Capital One (M. ** at 888**). He told me that they had received no money from Credit Solutions, only a cease and desist letter. He told me that they refuse to allow Credit Solutions as a mediator for my debt; and as the person extended the credit under contract, I was inevitably responsible.

He told me that they have had many issues with people who have hired Credit Solutions to assist them with the debts and suggested that I contact the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General since it was not was what I expected. He told me that if I did not get back to him within 24 hours, they would send my account to court and be sued for the money. When I called your company that same day after speaking to Matt, I tried to contact Amanda, my initial contact with your company, and found out she was no longer available. I spoke to a Carlos, I believe. When I called I was in total shock when I found out that 7 months after enrolling in your program, none of the creditors had been sent anything yet! Carlos then told me that and he apologized profusely, but I misunderstood the way the program works. The $700 some-odd dollars that Credit Solutions had taken from my account already had, in fact, only gone toward my fee, which was taken up front!

This was not my understanding of the program. How would that help me?! There it was, seven (7) months into thinking the creditors were already dealing with your company, I did not have contact with them as I was told. Then when I finally did talk to one of them, they informed me they would not accept the settlement through your company and I was being sued.

In all of these events, here is my situation. As stated, the creditors are so behind that now I am being threatened with legal action and being sued. I have since gone and sought legal counsel, and have no other choice than to now file bankruptcy now. Also, I cannot and will not accept your company's assistance any further it has done nothing for me. It was totally misrepresented to me when I spoke to Amanda at the very beginning. I was told it was a three-year process to pay off the debt; I was not told the creditors wouldn't be given anything until the fee was paid up front. I would not have bothered doing that! There are other legitimate companies out there that will assist and start paying immediately.

Therefore, as your program has done absolutely nothing to help me credit wise and has actually thrown me into bankruptcy as my only option, I insist on a refund of the full amount of money that was taken from my account in the last 8-9 months (totaling some $800-plus). If do not get a refund of my money within 30 days, I will file a complaint with the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau as suggested. I will also look for a lawyer who will be willing to represent me to get my money back from you. I am a single mother who is struggling to make ends meet. I thought your company was going to help my situation, instead it made it worse by dragging out more fees accumulated with the creditors, to the point I could never pay them back.

I am also immediately rescinding my power of attorney from Credit Solutions. I also insist that you cease and desist taking funds out of my checking account electronically. I strongly urge Credit Solutions to refund my money in full if they wish to not have further action taken. You may contact me if you wish to discuss the refund. Leave a message on my cell phone and tell me in detail who is calling and why. If I do not hear an answer on this by May 22nd, I will proceed with my complaints and seek legal action.

All I got was them calling me and telling me that I didn't read the fine print, that they would take their 15% up front before they would even deal with the agencies. And at the rate of the $115 per month they were taking out of my account that would have taken about 10 months. I never got any money back. I then had to file bankruptcy as a result. As a single mom with loss of work for medical reasons, I found out too late that I had two or three of the debtors had taken me to court unbeknownst to me while I was not in contact with them (as I was told to do by Credit Solutions). When I did consult a local lawyer, he told me at that point the only option I had was bankruptcy.

So now two years after my bankruptcy, I am finding that there are many complaints about this company. If there is any type of lawsuit or action against them, I'd like to receive my $800-plus back! And at best, I'd love to get restitution for the bankruptcy and damages incurred as well, as this gives me a black eye for 10 years.

We enrolled with Credit Solutions in October of 2009. Brent, the sales rep, promised that they would help us to settle our credit card debt. He told me they would stop garnishments, legal actions and handle negotiation with our creditors. My husband's company had downsized and he took a substantial pay cut just to keep from having to take a layoff. At this point, we had to choose between credit card payments or keeping the utilities turned on. Our monthly fees weren't overly large, $62.62 a month. That would have made the minimum payment on 3 of our 5 credit cards. Even though they wouldn't take on my medical bills because we didn't owe enough to one single medical office to qualify, we agreed to join at the recommendation of a friend rather than file bankruptcy.

Our first settlement came soon, only 5 months after joining. It was a decent offer, not great but decent. We still had some of our income tax refund left just for this, so we settled a $900 and some debt for $375. I received a letter from a law office saying one of my accounts had been turned over to them for legal action. I called and talked to a professional lady, who reassured me that everything would be alright. She quoted me the contents of the letter nearly verbatim and told me not to worry, they were just trying to scare me. CS reps were calling me to check in regularly and I thought everything was fine until my 14-year old son called me at work. He was scared to death because a police officer had come to my house and made him sign court papers that were for me. I called CS for 2 days before I actually got to talk to someone. I got the "we'll call the law office and I'll call you back before the end of the week" speech.

Two weeks later, I was surprised to find that the extension that the rep had given me was not recognized by the CS automated phone system. They finally called me back and informed me they had a settlement with the law office payment in full of more than what I originally owed plus court cost and fees. It had to be paid within 60 days in two rather large payments. I didn't like it, but we put our necessities on hold to make the payments. Two weeks after the second payment was drafted from my bank account, I was served with court papers yet again from the same law office. I called, very upset, thinking that they were trying to milk me twice but I quickly discovered that this was a different account. I informed them that CS would be handling this account as well. I called CS to inform them of the second court notification, got the "I'll call you back before the end of the week" speech and was promptly rushed off the phone.

I waited 2 days and called back, only to get so frustrated by waiting on hold for over an hour that I hung up. This process was repeated numerous times. Twice, CS called me during my work hours (I have told them more than once that I can't answer my cell phone during business hours) but when I would call back, then the extension would be invalid. A settlement came in on my big account and it was a tremendous $495.00 offer on a bill I originally owed over $2400. Nervously, I clicked the accept button because I couldn't get through on the phone to talk to a real person at CS. I waited for a confirmation, a phone call, some indication that they acknowledged my acceptance of the offer. There was none, rather I got a letter from my bank showing that my bank account was overdrawn. While I am sweating bullets trying to figure out where to come up with more money to cover all the overdraft fees, I get garnishment papers in the mail from the law office. CS had never contacted them to settle the second account I had been served court papers against.

Back in May 2009, I signed up with Credit Solutions. The person that set up my account name was Allison **. I told them my situation to why I came to them for help. In June 2008, I was laid off from my job. I did not get a job until May 2009. When I tried to activate a lot of my gap insurance for my credit cards and loan, I was told out of nowhere that I did not qualify for the insurance that I paid or was paying and that they wanted money. They said that I had to live off my cards while trying to find employment. I told them that I had 10 or 13 creditors and I need help settling debt and paying people off. Allison told me that I came to the right place. I was to make $350 a month payments that would be taken out of my checking account automatically. They would do the rest. Well, that was May 2009.

I was sent links to fill out LPA that I had to send out certified to all of my creditors. That was about $50 of postage. I heard nothing from them. August rolled around and true to form; they would take their $350. I was wondering why I had not heard any updates or why nothing was coming my way to settle. I called them and was told, well, the money that they were taking from my account was only account step up fees. That money was not going to pay my debts. They said that they will only be drafting from this point forward $156.00 from the $350 a month for account fees and administration services. The rest of the money will stay in my account until I notify them that I have about 10% saved of the highest amount owed and only then will they start negotiation services. This went on until Nov./Dec. 2009.

I got an offer to settle over 6 monthly payments. Then, I got another notice that Credit Solutions (CS) had negotiated another account for 3 payments of $600. I called them and asked why I was getting that offer when I was told my monthly payments were not going to be over $350. They said that I had to decline this offer and they would work to get something that I could afford. Then, I was asked if I could give $400 more a month, $800 a month in total to pay off the debt. Please understand each time I faxed, emailed, or called in about my account, I got a different person. They told me each time that I would need more money to settle and I would have to decline offers and recounter an offer. They just served as a messaging system at $157.00 a month.

I hired Credit Solutions to help with significant debt caused by a divorce. Just as other customers stated, they told me not to contact my creditors, to refer my creditors to them, etc. So, after paying them $5,812.74, I ended up having to settle two of my creditors myself. Two other credit cards I ended up paying more than the balance, and only one did they settle for me. After being promised to be out of debt in three to five years, I now have to pay back a $30,000 line of credit to Bank of America directly. Even though this account was charged off to a third party, Credit Solutions never negotiated anything with them. So, after all this money spent, I am now spending an additional $552 a month to pay this off.

"Credit Solutions Wins Important Fight Against Florida Attorney General's Office Dallas, TX -- Aug. 26, 2010 -- Credit Solutions, a market-leading debt settlement company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, won an important victory on behalf of its existing debt-burdened Florida clients in the Hillsborough County Circuit Court. The victory came during a temporary injunction hearing held on August 16 in a case brought by the Florida Attorney General's Office.

If the current Attorney General had prevailed on his claims at the hearing, thousands of debt-strapped Florida customers who rely on Credit Solutions to help them settle their credit card debts could have been left without a critical ally in this crippled economy. Despite the claims made by the Attorney General's Office, Credit Solutions clearly established that it should continue to serve its current clients while transitioning its growing business to fit within federal debt relief regulations recently released by the Federal Trade Commission, an exciting process already under way and readily embraced by the Credit Solutions Team.

Credit Solutions helps consumers reduce their credit card debts by bargaining with the credit card companies on behalf of its individual clients. Credit Solutions uses its experience, institutional knowledge and relationships with the credit card lenders to negotiate settlements for its clients.

In 2009, the Florida Attorney General filed a civil lawsuit against Credit Solutions, claiming violations of several state and federal laws. Based on the accusations, the Attorney General's Office demanded that the court prohibit Credit Solutions from enrolling new customers in the State, from charging fees to its current Florida customers and from advertising via its website. The Attorney General also demanded that the court take several other actions against Credit Solutions. Last week, the court rejected a majority of the Attorney General's requests.

At the most recent hearing on August 16, after considering testimony and weighing evidence of the work Credit Solutions has historically provided to Florida consumers, the Hillsborough Circuit Court denied a majority of the Attorney General's demands. Instead, the court entered an order requiring Credit Solutions to refrain from collecting an advance fee from any brand new customers in Florida. This is a step Credit Solutions is already in the process of making to comply with the new Federal Trade Commission debt relief rules. The court concluded that its ruling would not apply retroactively and that Credit Solutions could continue to serve its existing Florida customers. In the course of issuing the order, the Court explained as follows: '[P]art of my reasoning is they do provide a service to the consumer. There has been debt reduction and settlements with many, but from this day forward, no advanced fees.'

I signed up for Credit Solutions around February 2008 thinking I was going to have someone negotiate settlements with my creditors as promised by Credit Solutions. When I first learned of Credit Solutions, I thought this was a good route to go since I had no collateral for a debt consolidation loan. Credit Solutions instructed me to stop paying my credit card bills and that they would be negotiating settlements for me. This was a huge mistake because this made my credit score drop and caused more problems. Credit Solutions also charges a monthly fee for being in their program.

As the days and weeks went on and Credit Solutions still charging me for doing nothing, I made phone calls questioning them on why they haven't attempted to negotiate settlements. Credit Solutions’ response was, "Oh, we didn't know you had the money to make a settlement." They also told me they would get right on it and call back the same day. This went on for over 3 months before I attempted to cancel their services. Canceling with Credit Solutions took me over around 2 hours with being transferred to numerous counselors, operators, supervisors, etc. Do not waste your time with debt counseling services. You can negotiate settlements yourself or another suggestion. Pay the minimum on your credit cards with a higher balance and put more towards the card with a lower balance until paid off, then move on to the next one. This will help you see the light at the end of the tunnel to this seemingly endless debt train. I paid around $300 or more to Credit Solutions who did absolutely nothing but make my credit score worse, increase interest rates, incur late fees, and cause debt to go into collections which started the endless number of phone calls and collectors threatening to take legal action. Do not use Credit Solutions.

I was taken to the Cleaners by Credit Solution. Here is what they don't tell you. You owe $10,000. You pay the company 15%. You settle for 50% so that is $10,000 - $1,500= $8,500. You settle for 50% which is $5,000 of the $10,000. But, you owe taxes for the other 50% to Uncle Sam 28% average, about $1,400. So you just paid $1,500 their fee, $5,000 50% off settlement and $1400 for Uncle Sam total $7,900, savings of $2,100.

I told her that I didn't owe that and would like to have the contact information for BMG, which she refused to give me and refused to take this off my credit report. I only received one thing from BMG. I canceled after that and I haven't received anything else from that company. How can I resolve this if this third party company refuses to give me information on how to reach the company they are representing? This lowered my credit score and makes it difficult for me to get the credit that I need to repair my home.

I signed up with Credit Solutions in Aug. 2007 with almost $23000 in credit card debt. I stayed with them throughout the entire 2 year payment process and was told I had an estimated payoff date of 4 years total. During my initial 2 years, I paid off a total of $5000 of the biggest card. Less than one month after I paid them their final payment (I ended up giving them $3500), I was served by the Sheriff by one of the other cards. So now there are legal fees involved. The initial amount for this card had been about $4400. On the court documents it was now up to $7600! They eventually settled for the bargain price of $6000! I was then told I would be sued again if I didn't settle the other account by the same company which started at about $2500 and they settled for $4000! The only reason I was able to take care of any of this is because my mom took out a loan against her house to help me pay this all off (Thank God!). All told, I have paid almost $24000 when my estimated pay off amount was $9100. I am still paying my mom off and will be for quite a while!

On March 5, 2010, I contacted the NCS (National Credit Solutions, LLC), to inquire who they were and why were they on my credit report. I was told that they were a credit collection agency, which brought BMG debt accounts and they would need information from me in order to pull up my account to explain. I was ask to give my full name, phone number, address and date of birth to make sure they have the right person. I refused to give my DOB and was then asked several more questions confirming my previous addresses and phone numbers, and how long I lived at the addresses. Representative (Ms. Marcey) told me that I owe them $306.63 from purchases I ordered from BMG, an order date and list of music, very rapidly. I requested a copy of what she just read off to me be mailed to me and was refused. She stated I made a payment in March 2004 and I know that I did not.

I requested to speak with an available manager or supervisor and was transferred to the Disputes Dept. I spoke with Ms. Sue and again I was told that I must contact BMG myself and speak with them. I explained that I didn't understand why that is if they brought BMG's debts. Furthermore, I have not lived in for almost 20 years and I have never purchased or received any of the billed items, which I am being accused of. On March 6, 2010, I found a number for BMG online. I made two attempts to resolve this with BMG, however, the account number on the statement didn't come up when I entered it through the automated system and the representative had no luck finding that account either.

On March 19th 2010, I mailed and faxed a letter disputing the charges on a bill they sent me dated March 08, 2010. Again, I requested copies of any documentation that supports these accusations and request an investigation be done. On April 23, 2010, instead of NCS providing me with any proof, I have received another billing statement dated April 14th. I have not made a purchase from BMG, in over 20 years, and my obligation was met and my bill was paid in full back then. This is the first year that NCS is appearing on my credit reports and it wasn't until after I contacted NCS on March 19, 2010 that I began to receive a bill from BMG.

The charges from NCS and BMG is inaccurate and fraudulent and I have tried to cooperate with them, however, I can not help them. Since then, I have contacted each of the Credit Bureau's reporting companies and placed a dispute against NCS information on my credit report. TransUnion has completed their investigation and have deleted them from my credit report. The others have not yet responded. I have worked very hard to maintain good credit not to be ruined by such dirty practices like NCS. I am getting frustrated, exhausted of trying with them. I wish to report them for harassment and unfair practices. I would also like to know if this business is legitimate and have they ever had other complaints against them? Enclosed is a copy of my final request to NCS, in attempt to resolve this. I have excellent credit and this will leave a bad mark against my credit.

Credit Solutions advertised and told me that they could have me completely debt free from my credit cards within four years. They said that they work with the credit card companies to negotiate settlements (reduced amounts of the amount due usually at fraction of the cost). What they didn't say is that they told me not to pay any of my credit card bills for several months, waiting until the accounts go to collection agencies or attorneys.

At that point, Credit Solution talks to the lawyers/collection agencies and settle on an amount usually to be paid off in 1 - 3 payments (usually in the amount of several hundred or thousands of dollars). They "negotiated" with and came to me with three credit card settlements all due at the same time! The reason I came to them was because I couldn't afford to be making such outrageous payments! And if that wasn't bad enough, the largest of all the accounts (nearly $10K) was sent to a collection agency and then a lawyer. Credit Solutions did nothing to contact them until they threatened me with legal action and sent me a warrant in debt.

At that point, Credit Solutions said that I could pay half now and break the rest of the amount into smaller payments or I could break it into thirds. Again, I tried to explain that I don't have that kind of money! I only bring in $2500 a month! When I couldn't come up with the money, Credit Solutions did nothing as I went to court by myself! They gave me bogus information saying (1) I didn't need a lawyer for this court appearance; (2) the court would be more like a clerk's office and not an actual courtroom with a judge and everything; (3) if I brought a financial statement outlining my financial hardship, the judge would take that into consideration when making her judgement.

When I signed up with Credit Solution, that credit card bill was only around $8,000 but after the months of Credit Solution not doing anything, the interest and late payments accumulated until the final amount due came to over $10,500! Credit Solutions has done nothing but increase my stress levels, severely decreased the quality of my health and well being and completely eliminated any and all belief in the existence of decent and honest people.

About after filing the above complaint with the Better Business Bureau, I received several calls from Gabrielle ***, Executive Advisor for Credit Solutions who was very eager to "settle" this situation. In my complaint, I said that I was looking for $10K in compensation. She offered me $643.28. The check for that amount would be credited to my checking account when I signed and faxed back a paper saying that I release them from liability. I haven't signed the document, as it states, "I have had the opportunity to consult with my own attorney or have consulted with my own attorney and have not been pressured to sign this general release."

Therefore, we sent all the bills, etc. to them that our contract stated for us to do. In the meantime, they were taking their money out of our checking account that we were told would be used to pay all the combined bills. Only one got solved and I had to deal with them directly to take care of it.

In 2006, we went to purchase a business and on our credit report, we found out that all these charge cards had been what they call "chgd off". We did not even know what that meant. So I started contacting everyone I could and mailed to them the proof that I thought they had been taken care of by this company and most of them worked with me to resolve the issue and let me pay it out at less then 50% of the balance owed. However, Chase sold my account to several companies so many times I could not even keep up with it to try and resolve it. Nevertheless, I got served papers and could not appear due to my daughter in the hospital.

The attorney that had the case in St. Louis, MO got a judgement against me for a lot more than what the bill started out at. Let alone for 9% interest and the state statue on a judgement legal limit cannot exceed 6%. Before this, I had perfect credit. Now, I am fighting to get it perfect again and trying hard to pay these off as I can as I should have done in the beginning instead of hiring this company that took my money and left me with bad credit. Let alone, they promise to pay you money for each person you refer to them and they take their case. I had a friend who also used them and I faxed in the correct forms and could not even collect my referral money from them.

I lost my job in March 2009 and joined Credit Solutions in June 2009 after trouble paying all my credit card bills. To only have to pay/ save $400 a month instead over $1,000 I was currently paying on credit card debt sounded like the right decision to make (the only decision in my mind at the time). The first six months of the program was the hardest. I was receiving creditor calls, letters, etc. (someone even showed up at my door) and didn't have enough money saved to make any settlement offers. Plus, I wasn't sure what Credit Solutions was supposed to be doing on my behalf since I stopped paying my monthly credit card bills. I couldn't understand why people kept calling. This was so disheartening.

Then, after 6 months, an offer came in from a credit card I owed over $5K on. It was a great offer and I was able to settle my first account for less than half of what I actually owed. I finally had faith in this program I had been buying into for 6 months. A few months later, I paid off two more accounts (thanks to Christmas money from family). Recently I was receiving calls from one of my creditors, but it was just sold off to a third party, and Credit Solutions knew about it before I did and updated it for me on my online account.

Since this account was sent to a collection agency, I have stopped receiving the annoying phone calls. So, I know that Credit Solutions has been in contact with them and they know I am on this program. I will continue to save and hopefully I will be done in another year (which seems like forever in my mind). If all goes as planned and I continue to save, I will have paid off all my credit card debt in 2 years. I was on a 4 year plan originally with Credit Solution, which at the time was better than the 35 years it was going to take if I continued to pay minimum payments.

The only reason I write this, is because I was one of the confused Credit Solution customers reading all these horrible reviews and wondering if I had made a huge mistake. Well, I am halfway through my debt, so I personally think it has been worth it. Having someone on my side to help me when I had questions while making the negotiations on my behalf has been worth their service fee. Plus I have already saved twice as much as their total service fee and I still have more to save when I settle the remaining accounts. It is not easy, and yes your credit score will be destroyed (I am afraid to look at mine), but in my situation, it seemed like the only way to get out of debt. Paying the rent and buying food for the kids seemed more important than my credit score at the time.

Credit Solutions is a farce. They proceed to tell you how they are going to help and take care of things. They do not! They actually can put you in deeper debt. You are paying a monthly service charge for them to do nothing.

I had saved the money as they had told me to do. I called the settlement dept and did as they advise you to. He later contacted me and asked for me to contact Capital One and get the contact information for the accounts I had placed with them because he could not locate those accounts. I contacted Capital One and they were very helpful. They informed me that the accounts were not 120 days past due so they would not make a settlement. Capital One worked with me on these two accounts. So what did I pay a "service" fee to Credit Solutions for?

I had contacted Credit Solutions to take those two accounts off and still they had not done so. I faxed the paper work back as they had directed me to do. Credit Solutions is not the solution to debt relief. As far as I am concerned, this company should be sued and shut down. How can a business take money from people that are trying to better themselves and get back on track? To me, they are taking advantage of everyone. I could not sleep at night if I was employed by Credit Solutions!

I think everyone needs to get together on businesses like this and get them shut down. There has to be something that can be done to keep this from happening to others in the future. I am awaiting a settlement from them for service fees that were paid, I will see what happens. Credit Solutions has taken over $900 out of my checking account and did nothing at all for me.

I was employed by Credit Solutions until just recently, and all I can say is buyer beware. The debt consultants are just sales people who were rigorously trained on CS sales pitch. Most of them have no economic or financial training or experience necessary to intelligently make recommendations to anyone. What some of them will tell you is they are in the program and "it's helping me." This should be a red flag. Also, a large part of the consultants' pay is commission and based on sales or how many people they can enroll. It is not uncommon for someone to listen to the sales pitch and then want to end the call and think about it or just not interested at all. If the consultant lets them off the phone, they are grilled by their sales manager as to why they didn't make the sale.

There is a tactic used called "Beasting" whereby the consultants badger a person to the point they either enroll or hangup. Any consultant who beast a person into enrolling is consider somewhat of a hero. There are actually consultants with reputations as "beasts." They are not there to help you! If you do enroll just to get off the phone and call back the next day to cancel, you receive another round of "beasting" from a department setup to prevent cancellations. Again, no true concern for the consumer. And, if you take a phone call from a current client to try to help them, the consultant will be grilled by the sales manager as to why you wasted time when you should have been selling (I saw this happen several times). Again, only concerned about the sale. And be prepared for a lot of this because over 50% of the customer service department was laid off because sales were down.

Sales are down because of the lawsuits and Attorney Generals from different states are investigating Credit Solutions. Check it out. And the certified Settlement Team, ha!, sales people who were promoted into that position. There is much more I could say, but I hope you get the picture. Why am I doing this? It's the right thing to do. Hopefully, I can now truly help someone.

I need to know if there is a legal way to do that. Well, the stress of getting the run around with these people and having to constantly calling them to get a settlement or even communicate with creditors. This company is a rip off.

We were looking for help. Credit Solutions of America told us they could. We signed a power of attorney that they said would help them deal with our creditors. They said they would stop calling. They said they had to because of the Consumer Fair Debt act? They would contact all creditors. I found out later they either didn't contact them or they were told that our creditors did not deal with that type of company. We ended up paying over $500/month for several months with no resolutions. We ended up paying them about $3000, plus ended up with thousands in late fees. They did nothing but tell us not to pay our bills, that they would take care of it.

I signed up with Credit Solutions in February 2009. They were hired to negotiate with my credit card companies to work on settlements and affordable payments to be worked out in 24-48 months. Instead, Credit Solutions did nothing but wait until the credit card accounts went into litigation. Then their idea of a "settlement" was to offer me 2 or 3 payments per card, essentially giving me 2-3 months to pay off the accounts instead of the 24-48 months!

One account was turned over to Credit Solutions with an amount due of $688 but by the time Credit Solutions finally got around to negotiating with them, the late fees and interest rate had the account’s amount due up to $1,112! I was constantly being flipped from one account advisor to another. None of them would return phone calls or emails. When I received a Warrant in Debt, it took several phone calls to get answers as to how I should proceed.

Instead of feeling like I hired a company to advocate on my behalf and that they were looking out for my best interest, I felt like they had dropped the ball and were trying to play catch up with these delinquent accounts and force fed me to make ridiculously high payments. I could either suck it up and take their offers or deal with the credit card attorneys and/or be forced to go to court.

When I first signed up w/ Credit Solutions, they suggested that I put aside $228/month so I would be able to settle an account when a settlement had been reached. Instead, I was slammed with 3 different settlements all within a period of 2-3 months (totaling around $3,500), all due at or around the same time period. And this isn't even including the largest of the accounts ($8,500) due around the same time period! I emptied my 401K Plan (and I am currently making payments to them to put the money back into the plan) just to pay off the largest account. I feel they misrepresented themselves when they described my payoff timeframe as 24-48 months. I had to take off work to attend court for account settlement and thought that I was paying Credit Solutions to negotiate my accounts and keep them from going to trail/court.

Credit Solutions contacted me in October ‘08 about a past credit card bill. I had initially spoken with Michele ** who was trying to get me to pay this bill of $4,052.18. I informed Michele that I was unable to pay that because I am on a fixed income. And I refused to pay $4,052.18 on a bill that was initially $300.00. Michele continuously called me and offered me a settlement amount of $900.00. I said I couldn't pay that either. She then offered me a settlement amount of $700.00. I again said I cannot afford that offer. She called me again and then put her supervisor on the phone. I told him that I could not afford this offer, but let me think about it.

Michele then called me back in December and offered me a settlement of $400.00. I thought about it. I pay $400.00 and they will put in the report that I paid $4,052.18. I called Michele and accepted the offer. I initially accepted the offer to pay $25.00 a month until the $400.00 was paid off. But then I contacted Michele and raised my payment amount to $50.00 a month. I paid the amount up until August ‘09 and I called Michele and informed her that she took money out of my bank account that she was not supposed to because my payments are done.

She began to read her notes and said she would call me back. Of course, I never received that phone call. I called back and some other person answered her phone and was very rude to me and told me they didn't care what I paid. I need to pay them more money. I told him that I was going to contact a lawyer. I later contacted Michele's supervisor and he apologized for my mistreatment, but he cannot honor the $400.00 settlement. He then offered me a settlement of $525.00 more to add to the $400.00 and I can't afford that.

I told the supervisor to not debit any more money out of my account. I will send my payments in because your company has lied to me and I don't want them to have access to my account. He told me they couldn't do that. I asked him to read me the notes that said that I accepted any offer other that the $400.00 and he couldn't produce that information. The only information that he has in the computer is me telling them I could not afford to pay what they were offering me. The notes that he read to me had my conversation with Michele word for word until it gets to where I agreed to the $400.00 and then the conversation in the notes stop. There is no talk about the settlement that I agreed to. The notes then go on to say, “Angela agreed to a settlement.”

The HR department of the company I recently went to work for "Credit Solutions" told several lies to every new hire I've spoken to. I specifically told the HR guy I wasn't interested in doing any "cold calling". He told me that I would only be calling people who had gone online and specifically asked to be contacted by our company.

After two weeks of calling people who said they didn't request any information from us and had no clue as to how we even got their information, and worse yet, people who scream and curse into the phone because they've been called by 20 people at our company multiple times and told the representatives and even e-mailed them to remove them from our list. I finally went and had a talk with the manager of the training department and found out they are buying list from other companies who may or may not have anything to do with credit problems such as mortgage loan companies. He seemed shocked (or at least pretended to be) that we were told by our trainer to ignore notes in the system and to go ahead and call people who had asked to not be called. This company cannot do business in at least 12 states and is being sued by the state of Texas and (I think Missouri) too. The AG of Texas is investigating them and God knows who else.

We've also been told to tell people that we can reduce their debt by 50% and I, like most of the other new hires, have been telling people that. It was only 2 days ago that we were told not to say a specific percentage. I feel tricked into being promised a three figure income and I'm driving 3 hours a day round trip to get minimum wage. I went off unemployment to take this job and now because of the price of gas I'm making less than I was. I wonder what to do?

I feel stressed working for a company that tells us to call people who have asked numerous times not to call them, and from what I've read, the information we're told to tell people is false and misleading. If I quit, or get fired, I will be not be able to draw unemployment and I can't pay my bills as it is, but I feel bad about being told to tell people false information and fear I could be implicated in their lies in any law suits they may be involved in.

This company did nothing for me and cost me $2,400.00, and I ended up filing Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. I had numerous credit card debts and loans. I ended up with 2 judgments filed against me because of this company's actions to do nothing. They kept telling me to do nothing and sit tight. Yeah right. Whenever I called them, I was put on hold for long periods of time, or I would have someone who could hardly speak English. They kept telling they were working on my case, whenever I did get to talk to someone, but most of the time I ended up hanging up because of waiting up to a half an hour.

I did get one credit card company to settle for a lesser amount, but I ended up doing the talking to them. Credit Solutions did not settle it, I did it myself. This company deceived me, telling me they work with all credit card companies and loan services, but that's not what some of these companies told me. These companies kept calling me and telling me they never were contacted by Credit Solutions or do they work with Credit Solutions. Then when I talked to Credit Solutions, it was a different story, they said they did. So who was lying? Well two judgments and Chapter 13 told me who was lying. I was so confused and upset with Credit Solutions, I wanted out its program. I called them and told them I wanted nothing more to do with them. I never heard another word from them. They got my money and ran with it.

I started looking two years ago for some help. I found a couple and chose Credit Solutions. They made remarkable promises. We paid them $269.00/month and gave them power of attorney on 3 of our cards. A few months later, a complaint from one of our card’s attorney’s threatening legal action was delivered by a sheriff's deputy. After faxing the information to Credit Solutions, and waiting two weeks with no response and no return calls, we contacted the law firm and settle for the full amount on our own. We received settlement offers for sometimes 1/2 of what we owed, but the payment needed to be made at the time of the offer. We couldn't make the monthly payments, nonetheless 1/2 of what we owed in a lump sum.

We heard nothing from them for months, and then the sheriff visited us again, two days within one another, with legal actions for delinquency on our cards. Again, we sent this information to Credit Solutions, made numerous calls, and no response or satisfaction. We contacted the credit card companies, negotiated settlements, and paid them off ourselves. Credit Solutions basically took our $269.00 per month and did absolutely nothing but cause my credit score to drop over 100 points! Then, when we settle everything 2 years ahead of their 3 year schedule, they wanted the balance of the $269.00/month payments! They graciously offered to prorate the payments.

Do not use these guys! They take your money. Allow your cards to go into default, and you can never talk to anyone that can help you. Call your card companies yourself! They will do far more than these bozos. The three cards we had with them to work on all went into default. Sheriff's deputies were at my home three times. We settled.

Unsuccessful attempts to get our interest rates and monthly minimum payments reduced with telephone calls to the creditors prompted us to contact Credit Solutions in January 2008 for assistance in getting our accounts paid off. My husband was just getting ready to start college, and we knew that it would become harder to come up with the money to pay on cards we had quit using three months prior. Their program sounded too good to be true, the possibility of settling $13K for $6k and a fee of $1869? Who wouldn't take that opportunity to start again (without the burden of being trapped by credit card debt) if offered assistance?

We were being told to let our accounts go delinquent (they were only 30 days past due when we contacted CS - balances, payments, and interest rates were quite high), as it would provide better leverage for negotiating settlement of the accounts, as they could get them settled for half of what was owed somewhere between 40-60%. We followed their instructions, not to have any contact with our creditors after sending each a certified copy of Power of Attorney paperwork allowing Credit Solutions to act on our behalf, and giving the creditor line number to any creditors who continued to call and we began paying the fee and saving what we could as outlined in the Customer Enrollment package.

Sometime in June 2008, after months of voice mails and past due notices from creditors, we contacted CS, asking if there had been any settlement offers received from these creditors. The one CS representative who was good about returning calls (not as good in negotiating settlements anywhere close to the 40-60% as claimed in the Customer Enrollment Packet or early enrollment phone calls) stated that it was too soon. The accounts weren't delinquent enough, and we inquired as to the amount of money we had saved at that time. It was agreed that we needed to continue saving, and wait for settlement offers to come in.

Our next call to CS was in October 2008 when I began receiving phone calls at work from a particular nasty creditor, who after identifying herself asked to verify my name and address, which I did. At that point, I informed the rep that they were not to contact me at my place of employment, and needed to call my credit advisor at CS. Days later we received correspondence from the credit representative telling us that the account had been turned over to a law office which would be taking us to court. I immediately contacted CS, asking our rep why it had come to this. Wasn't this the basis of their program helping people by negotiating settlement with our creditors in order to keep from being sued?

The settlement took almost 2 weeks, as our rep told us that the creditor hadn't forwarded the Power of Attorney to the law office, so we went through that whole process again. Our rep (the only one to actually negotiate an account for less than owed, not the 40-60%) negotiated a settlement of $429, the account was only $638 when we enrolled). This prompted the flood gates to open ...

We received another letter shortly after from a second creditor again informing us that the account had been turned over for court proceedings. Fortunately, we had been saving money as required, and still had a small amount left over from paying the first account to make an initial payment to the creditor, and then had to agree to make 2 more monthly payments to get that account paid (this settlement caused hardship in paying basic monthly shelter expenses during the winter months; however, it did actually save a large amount of money), as we settled for $1000 less than original balance.

However, 2009 was a new year. We began saving money again, and anticipating the annual tax return money in hopes of getting the other 4 accounts settled before being forced into legal action on them. It didn't last long. On March 26, 2009, we were served with a subpoena from HSBC. I immediately contacted CS, and continued daily leaving several voice mails for our regular rep, Calvin, to return my call. A week and a half later, finally resigned to being placed in queue to be helped by the next available credit specialist. We explained that our regular rep hadn't returned any of my calls, spoke with new rep and questioned why we were receiving a subpoena, and why it had come to this? Again, repeating the same questions asked months earlier, wasn't this why we hired CS, to avoid being sued? Had there not been any settlement offers on this account either? I was told that I would now need to deal with the litigation department, as the regular reps weren't allowed to handle my account?

I spoke with a litigation specialist named Robert, who took down the information in order to contact the law office. I inquired as to when I could expect a return call. His response was by the end of the week, if I hadn't heard back to call or email him (he gave me his extension and told me that I could also email him as he was capable of taking calls and corresponding by email while doing so). I left a voice mail at the end of the week, and sent an email to him asking for update. Calling back the next week, I dialed my original rep, Calvin's extension, asking for assistance and explained that Robert was supposed to have gotten back to me. I was then transferred to Sang and I explained that I was upset, again repeated my spiel regarding the whole reason why we hired CS to avoid legal action and get this stuff paid off. He apologized for Robert's lack of response, "understanding my concern."

He assured me that he was very successful in his abilities to settle litigation accounts, and if I would send a copy of the subpoena over (which I promptly had scanned and emailed to him) that he would get back to me asap. I stated my concern about how long asap would be, as it seemed the calls weren't currently being returned by anyone, that I was having to take my entire hour lunch just to make contact with them lately.

Sang did return my call; however, only to inform me that this particular lawyer's office would not deal with Credit Solutions, and I would need to call and negotiate it myself, but to call CS back and let them know what was agreed upon. This upset me a little, as I was paying them to work with the creditors. Why did I have to call the law office and negotiate my account? I let Sang know that this did not please me. I tried to negotiate this account with the law office, and felt I was unsuccessful, as in order to avoid going to court, we didn't have enough left from the money saved and tax return, so we had to agree to monthly payments and will end up paying $800 more than the account was when we enrolled in Credit Solutions. There goes the savings from the last settled account.

At this point, we were getting pretty worried, because the account with a "big balance" (a Capital One card - the largest of the 6 accounts with a balance of $5100 when "enrolled in the program"), had yet to be settled. We wondered if there would be another subpoena later in the week. It actually took 2 weeks for the next one to be served, and it was for the 'Big Balance".

The second subpoena showed up and they are now asking for $8430.27 plus interest and court costs. I contacted CS. I was unable to reach Sang, so I have asked to speak to another litigation specialist, this time I got Tyrell, who was very regretful about the past problems, and got an earful regarding this latest development. Together, we three-way called this new law office, and are told that they were willing to settle for $4000 down and payments of $225/mo. at 24.90% for 24 months (more than the amount asked in the court documents - where is the 40-60% savings?). This account is the main reason why we enrolled in their program, as the other accounts would have been manageable.

Another call to Tyrell a few days later to see if there is any other way to deal with this account in order to avoid going to court. He suggested the famous "can you borrow from family or friends line ... " It really amazed me that they teach these reps this one, because hello! By the time most people enroll in Credit Solutions program, they have already borrowed from anywhere that they possible could have ... family, friends, loans, etc.

We ended up having to go to court on this one and are currently still in the middle of proceedings, (go back for trial on May 26th). We have discussed suing Credit Solutions for their "breach of contract"; however, with our current financial fiasco, there is no money to do so (it was pointed out by the CS rep that we signed the contract agreeing to their terms, and releasing them from liability). Not to mention, how does the "little guy" win against the corporate giant who knows all of the legal loopholes?

I have expressed my dissatisfaction several times (in writing and phone) to Credit Solutions, to which their response is to say that they are sorry we feel that way, or no response at all. The next step is writing to the Better Business Bureau, and contacting the law firm in Seattle, WA (See Denise ** Blog dated 7/28/08) who may be able to help with a class action lawsuit.

We enrolled in a 13-week course offered at our church "Financial Peace University" by Dave Ramsey, (a wonderful class which has taught us how to live without the use of credit), and once finished paying off our current obligations (credit card debt with what we thought was help from Credit Solutions), start saving for our family's future and we have survived by the grace of God for the last 17 months without the use of a single credit card, although we will continue to pay for those credit cards for several years to come. We pray that the upcoming trial will not be too brutal, and that no one else will have to suffer being duped by Credit Solutions. While we can't fix our credit for a long time, maybe we will be lucky and be able to recoup our Credit Solution fee of $1869 if we can be part of the class action lawsuit against Credit Solutions ... only God knows.

I guess I must consider myself stupid now because I fell for this and was with Credit Solutions for over a year and paid them every month - it could have been over two years. I had a great credit before and all I tried to do was make it better and reduce my debt but what I got in return was a larger debt and no more credit at all. “Unbelievable” what you try to do and what you get in return.

I went through so much depression and got into so many fights with my family and ended up as a heroin addict because otherwise I would have cared and gone to burn down their building and as many thieves as I could but just destroyed myself instead. Hey I must look at the bright side, my family is still alive and I can be sorry for the fights and live my life all over since I have recovered from heroin and start over. What doesn't kill me does make me stronger? But another day may come that can let it out, I don't know. I need help! I'm not evil. I cannot do this much bad. I don't belong here.

Today we have to watch out from those who supposedly protect and serve too because we are never sure which cop is the one that will take us behind the trash can, beat us while handcuffed usually if you have a lot of cash on you only. Hey if you’re lucky you will only get a ticket to go back to court for disorderly conduct instead of being shot and killed, so what can I say. That is also true. God knows it is.

I enrolled with Credit Solutions in Oct. 2008 as our finances bubbled with the economic crisis and our small business sales dropped 85%. I was looking for help and heard about Credit Solutions on Oprah. Based on that endorsement, I called them to discus my matter. After a genuinely caring and responsive sales pitch, I signed up with the program thinking wow, this can really help! They told me to stop paying my creditors and to forward all collection calls and notices to them. Yeah right! That did nothing! Phone calls night and day from creditors, most of which stated that they don't and will not work with Credit Solutions. Balances increasing with late fees and interest, notices in the mail, all the time, threatening charge-off and what-have-you.

Also, don't expect Credit Solutions to actually provide you a financial analysis based on your income to even see if their service can benefit you. That's how I became screwed. $300 - $600 per month in Administrative fees paid to them, none of which gets applied to creditor balances. To top it off, inconsistency between representatives about what you are actually paying for. I received private calls from most of my creditors wanting to negotiate settlements, one offered 17 cents on the dollar! Unfortunately, I was stuck paying Credit Solutions $600 per month so I didn't have the money to accept the settlement.

As of March 2009, Credit Solutions show no proof that I getting anything for my money. I am being called all the time with charge-off notices which soon means court and garnishment. If I never joined Credit Solutions, I would have over $2,000 that I could have paid towards these balances or even a Bankruptcy attorney. Credit Solutions is a farce. Bottom line, everything Credit Solutions says they do, you can do just as easily; and you don't have to pay anybody extra money!

My credit score went from 740 to 505 in 6 months all thanks to my false hopes in Credit Solutions. It's so unfortunate that in times of need, there are companies like this that just want to bury you deeper.

Rose from 1-800-355-2177 called my home around 6.30pm tonight. I advised her that I did not want to use their service and to discontinue calls immediately. She said 'So you are handling your 13k debt with dow financial on your own'. I advised her that we were and it was none of her business... She then began to verbally yell over me and interrupt me with a list of creditors and amounts that I owe them. I advised her it was no longer any of her concern and she ended the call by hanging up on me while I was still talking. I used *69 and captures her phone number. I then called back to discuss with a manager. This was no doubt her private line. She said this program was not for people 'like me' and hung up again. I called back and got her voice mail. I advised her that I would be reporting her.

About 15 minutes later, I received another call from the same company but from another representative named Damien. He again wanted to discuss my debt and who I owed and his program. I advised he was in violation of a cease and desist order I gave to Rose. He continued to try to coerce me into his program. I demanded that he give me his name - he hung up on me. I called *69 and captured his phone number, as well 1-800-931-1025. I called him on this number, which is also a direct line, and made sure I had his name correctly and he also hung up on me.

I then went to the internet and called Credit Solutions and spoke to a man who stated that he saw that a cease and desist was ordered by the first representative. I gave the story to him and he stated that Damien did not document the call. He also said that all of their calls were recorded, yet neither of the first two representatives gave me the monitor and recording disclosure. Fact is, I have debt but not enough to qualify for the 10k minimum. If they count all debt including items I am current on, I will have 10k in debt.

But you cannot settle on student loans or on debt that is not delinquent. It was determined a long time ago I did not qualify for the program and future contact was not necessary. I feel oppressed, abused, and harassed by these two individuals, and I want to know what this company plans to do about it. It's obvious they work on commission and their attitudes towards consumers mirror debt collectors desperate for a bonus check...At the very least, they should check their records and see that I don't qualify for the program before they interrupt my time continuously after I have stated (and they have documented) NO CALLS. I have also contacted legal counsel on grounds of harassment. Ridiculous.

I enrolled with Credit Solutions in October 2008 to help assist me with debit settlement. I was told Credit Solution would contact my creditors and work on settling my debit. I was instructed not to communicate with my creditors, since Credit Solutions was working on my behalf and would negotiate settlements. I was informed this process would take a few months before settlement offers would be presented to me. The sales representative for Credit Solutions stated the following: my debit of $32,000.00 would be paid off in 12 months or less; settlement offers obtained would be 30-50% of account balance; smaller account balances would be negotiated and settled first; and balances negotiated would remain the same account balances from the date of enrollment, not to include finance and late fee charges. Thus, I enrolled eleven creditor accounts, balances ranging from $850.00-$8,600.00 dollars.

Each month Credit Solution would withdrawal funds from my banking account and transfer them into my Credit Solutions account to be available for settlement payments. To date, there have been five withdrawals from my bank account to the Credit Solutions account totaling $1,552.05 dollars. After two months, I started actively contacting Credit Solutions for updates on my credit accounts. Representatives from Credit Solutions stated information was forwarded to creditors, however they have not responded. Their customer care department assured me that this process was normal and please be patient. By month three and four, as creditor phone calls increased, I contacted Credit Solutions customer care department and asked for follow up with creditors. During this time frame I faxed and emailed account information to Credit Solutions.

On February 23, 2008, six months later, I discovered through direct communication with creditors, that Credit Solution had not been engaged in any type of account settlement negotiations, nor did creditors know that Credit Solutions was working on my behalf. I contacted every creditor that was enrolled in the program and none of the companies had been contacted by Credit Solutions. Moreover, my account balances increased by $800.00-$1000.00 dollars, due to all the late fees and finance charges. I immediately contacted Credit Solutions, expressing my concerns regarding the lack of communication with my creditors and the lack of negotiating/obtaining settlement offers on any of my accounts.

I also stated that I was very dissatisfied with services and was considering canceling my enrollment. The customer care representation promised assistance and stated she would forward my information to the settlement department and have a representative contact me immediately to work on obtaining settlement offers for several of my smaller accounts. However, I did not receive a phone call from anyone in settlement department as promised; therefore I contacted them. I update the individual in the settlement department on previous conversations and my desire to work on settlements for smaller account balances. He stated he would contact the identified creditors and call me back - he never called back.

Meanwhile, a creditor contacted me directly and provide a settlement offer. I asked the creditor to work with Credit Solutions, since I had $1,552.05 dollar in my debit settlement account. The creditor contacted Credit Solutions with a settlement offer; however the settlement department never followed up with them and the offer was never presented. The next day, I contacted the creditor for explanation and she stated that Credit Solutions did not return their phone calls regarding the settlement offer. I asked the creditor to provide another offer and I would follow up with the settlement department directly. Thus, when the online offer was presented to me six hours later it was substantially higher than what was discussed with the creditor earlier. When I tried to address this with Credit Solutions my phone calls were forward to voice mails until the department closed.

I left four message for the settlement department. It has been two days and no one has called back. As a result, I cancelled my enrollment with Credit Solution both verbally over the phone with a customer care representative and via email. In addition, I asked to have all withdrawals stopped and funds in my Credit Solutions account be refunded immediately. I indicated that I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and was submitting a complaint to State of Michigan Attorney General's Office.

Again, Credit Solutions provides misleading information, false advertising and does not deliver services as promised. This company knowingly takes money from individuals that are in financial stress and does nothing to settle debt. They prey on consumers that have fallen on hard times and make the situation worse. My main objective is to receive a refund from Credit Solutions in the amount of $1,552.05, so I can pay my creditors as promised.

I signed up with Credit Solutions in October of 2007. My credit was so-so at the time. I would fall behind on a payment here and there but nothing crucial. We had recently taken in my disabled father & mother and were expecting our second child so I could foresee trouble on the horizon. The pitch I was given was that if I could put $550/month aside in a separate bank account, I would be able to pay off all my debt in the next 4 years, that my debts would be settled for 60% less than the actual balances, and Credit Solutions would work with my creditors to avoid any harassing phone calls, lawsuits, etc. Not one word of that was true.

I had to pay out over $1,500 before they did anything and then another $250/month for the next year (the other $250 was to be saved in my account to go towards my debts). I did settle 3 accounts. However, all 3 required me personally speaking with the credit companies and then relaying those messages to Credit Solutions b/c I was in contract with them. The $250 per month I was saving towards debt didn't help me because my first settlement was for $180/month for 6 months I think which was fine, but the second one was for $666 per month which was in addition to the $250 I was still paying Credit Solutions. The 3rd account I had to appear in court for and they settled for about $1,000 more than I owed them when I signed with Credit Solutions and I have to pay them $180 per month for the next 3 years.

I tried to cancel my agreement about 3 months ago and was told that the companies would get vicious and take me to court or garnish my wages, so they convinced me to freeze my contract. They would not deduct funds for November, December or January so I could catch up financially, and they would tack those payments on to the end of my contract. They ended up taking out January's fee anyway, for which the money was not available and caused an overdraft fee on my account. I called to complain and request my money and fee back and was told that since I was considering cancelling they couldn't do that. I ended up having to tell them I would stay on the plan. They finally reimbursed my $250 but never refunded my overlimit fee. I have since then cancelled my policy with them and now face the burden of trying to explain to all these creditors why they haven't been paid in over a year.

We contacted Credit Solutions in mid-September 2008. They said they would negotiate with our creditors to receive a settlement offer. They began the first of October withdrawing payments from our checking account. They said the phone calls from creditors would stop. They never did. They got worse, and sometimes received up to 50 calls per day at home and at work. We contacted them several times between September and mid-December to find out what actions they had taken to settle these debts for us. We were told at that time that there was a 90-day waiting period before they could begin any settlement negotiations. We were upset that nothing had been done yet, so they offered to stop the January withdrawal from our account, which they did. They also said they would begin negotiations for two of the credit cards and should have a settlement within 3-4 days. Never received any calls from them.

They withdrew their February payment from our account. At this point, we were really getting tired of the phone calls. I decided to talk to the creditors myself and see if I could negotiate with them. After about two hours on the telephone, I had settled most of the accounts myself. I then called Credit Solutions and asked if they could send me copies of any settlement agreements, especially the two they said they would have for us back in December. There were none. When I talked to our creditors, the first thing I asked them was if they had been contacted by Credit Solutions in any way to negotiate settlements. All checked back in their files, and all said No.

The creditors were very easy to work with and were glad we were making an attempt to settle the debts. Credit Solutions, on the other hand, was very upset. I did ask them for a refund of the payments we made, which totaled almost $1,200.00. The girl I talked to said they had no refund policy, but they do have an Account Review Team. They could review our case. They were to return my call the following Monday. That never happened either. The girl in Customer Relations was very upset with us and said, "You ruined everything! That's why we don't want YOU talking to the creditor!"

None of my answers for them were ever answered. I never got copies of any settlement offers (because there weren't any). I closed our account with Credit Solutions on that Saturday, despite much disapproval from them. She was not kind at all! But then again, neither was I. I was trying to make my point that it didn't cost ME anything to settle with my creditors, and it only took me about two hours. How come they couldn't get anything done in five months? Every person we talked to at Credit Solutions tried to make US to look like the bad guys. They also tried to make the credit card companies look bad by lying about what they're after and how they settle accounts. Credit Solutions was doing to us what they SAID the credit card companies would do to us. I did make the credit card companies aware of what Credit Solutions was saying. They were not happy, but also not surprised. They said they have had many problems with Credit Solutions themselves.

First of all, they tell you what you need to hear to sign up. Then, when I tried to get in touch with the person who set me up, he's no longer available. Several different sales people tell you so many different stories; at that point, you don't know what to believe. They take money out of your account, without doing anything for you. They made me go into late fees on my credit cards, got attorney letters that I was getting sued, but they continue to tell you, don't speak to anyone, that's okay and they will handle it.

Finally, I got fed up and spoke with the creditors myself, and some of them settled and some are still with attorneys. I am in worse shape now than when I was before. I can't even get a loan to pay off the debts, because my credit score is so bad now. My credit was great when I got into this program, and now it's ruined for 7 years. This is so unfair. We were falsely represented, and I feel this program is a Rip Off!

I paid three payments of $168 and some change. Then I paid their fees in full with a $1,147 and some change. I had extra money and asked them (some guy who called) to settle all my debts. This was 9-26-08. It is now January 14, 2009, and I have had no contact from them after repeated attempts through email. Most recently, I just requested a refund, since I still receive all the collector calls (they said they would handle them) and not one settlement offer has been delivered. That $1,600 I paid them might have kept my credit rating from getting worse, and it could have been paid to my creditors!

After my divorce, it is very difficult to get back on my feet. My ex-husband made $100k a year, but the debts were in my name, so now I make less than $20k. Quite a HUGE change in my living expenses, and I needed help. I had depended on Credit Solutions to help me do this. They have turned their back on me, not responded, and I bet they have (my) money to pay their bills. THANKS, CREDIT SOLUTIONS, for screwing me over, stealing my money, and ruining my credit and chances of rebuilding my life! That I was to save each month so that when they did reach a settlement then I was to pay them with that money. Or if I didn't have it then to cash out my 401k or borrow from family members. Their fee was $3,000 in the end but they were there for me. Well every day I receive harassing phone calls from credit card companies and they would tell me that they haven't heard from Credit Solutions or received any paperwork from them. So each month my balance grew on 1 card from $7500 to $9500.

2 of the cards have been sent to collection agencies. I feel that I'm on the verge of being sued and currently talking to a bankruptcy lawyer. I called to tell them that I wanted out of the program and want my money back. He told me that there was no refunds. I had agreed online to this, even though there is a 100% money back guarantee on the website. I am very upset that they have put me in a worse situation than I was in. My husband and I turned to CSA in an effort to take control over our credit card debt. We, up until involving ourselves with CSA, had a very good credit history but were beginning to be overwhelmed by credit card bills after I lost my full time job. We joined CSA in Aug of 07. We had enrolled multiple accounts with them and paid well over $1000.00 for their service... or shall I say lack thereof. CSA was to work with our creditors directly on our behalf to negotiate settlements on our accounts for a fraction of the balance. We were under the impression that we would pay CSA a service fee for a period of time and save extra funds on our own to pay the settlements as they came. We would be taking care of our debt in less than 4 years.

CSA representative stressed that they would be working with us on a weekly and monthly basis touching base with us to ensure we were saving our funds. After a month or so went by and I never got a phone call from CSA I began to worry. The only people I had heard from were my creditors...EVERY DAY. My creditors all stated that they had not been contacted by CSA and some even told me that they do not even acknowledge this company. They even tried to warn me. I began calling CSA for answers. CSA representatives advised us to not speak with any of our creditors as this would only jeopardize the settlement process that CSA was working out and confuse the creditors. They assured me that they were contacting my creditors and that the creditors would tell me anything to get their money. Little did I know that CSA were the ones willing to tell me anything!

I continued to be as patient as I could with CSA over the next month but this did not last as one day my husband was issued papers to appear in court. We were being sued by one of our creditors who CSA were to be working with. It was at this time that I knew something was wrong. I started calling CSA and had to do so on a daily basis. I was never able to get the same representative and I had to completely explain my situation over, every time I called. Nobody was ever willing to truly help me. I would just get the same excuses. I spent days on the phone, hours of my life I can never get back, crying and pleading with CSA to take responsibility. It took everything just to get them to stop taking money out of my account. In the end I had to settle EVERY one of my accounts on my own. I demanded a refund of my money but CSA would only make a request on my behalf. I never saw a penny returned. My husband was sued in court. Our credit record is ruined until 2015. Nobody will lend us a penny.

That isn't the case. Once you sign up, they want you to pay it off as soon as you can, even if that means borrowing money from family. If that was available, why we would have joined??

They tell you not to pay your bills. That they would contact the creditors and let them know you were in this program to get out of debt. According to our creditors, they were never contacted until we hammered CS to settle. We even tried to get out of Cs but were denied. Even though they have a money back guarantee, we kept getting promised that they would take of things and not to worry. However, we got harassed by our creditors for not paying. They called, sent threatening letters, even came to the house. When we overpay (CS) them, they refused to re-reimbursed money owed back to use. States they don't do things like that. I too, was a client of Credit Solutions of America. I too, paid them a large sum of money to work on my behalf to settle my debts. I too, had to deal with a new person each time I called them and had great difficulty getting responses to e-mails and phone calls. I finally had to borrow money from another source to settle all of my debts, through Credit Solutions. They guaranteed me that they would send the settlement letters for each account so I would have proof that all were settled. I have not received any settlement letters from them. That has been over 3 years ago. Last October, I received a letter from a debt collection agency claiming that I still owed a company money. I called Credit Solutions. After numerous phone calls and explaining my situation to numerous people, I was finally told that my information was in the archives and would have to be researched.

Months later, when I was finally able to speak to someone, I got the same story. This person was able to tell me the date of my payment and the amount I paid to settle the account in question. I once again, asked for the paperwork to be sent to me. I never received it. I called back again, a month or so later, told them how angry I was and told them I would report them to the Better Business Bureau. They have never returned my calls or e-mails since then. Last month, I began receiving phone calls again from a new debt collector for this same account. The balance has now grown higher. I still have not gotten what I need from Credit Solutions to prove that I have settled the account.

The money I paid them is gone. I cannot do anything about it. All I want are the settlement letters and proof of payments they have on file for me so I can prove to these collectors that my debts have been settled. Because of Credit Solution's misrepresentation of their abilities, I have been sued, taken to court, had my wages garnished and had a lien placed on my home. I have had my debts settled for over 3 years now and thought I was rebuilding my credit. Imagine my surprise and disappointment in finding that I am still being hounded by creditors for an account I believe to be settled. Something needs to be done so that Credit Solutions cannot keep doing this to others.

I was led to believe that Credit Solutions was going to be making payments to my Credit Card companies. Every time I called, I got a different person and a different story. Once they told me the correct process (after several calls and emails) I was already months into the program. It's great that they can get your debt down so much but then the condition is to pay it off in just a few payments. Defeats the entire reason I joined the program as I am sure others as well. If I could do this, I wouldn't be where I am in the first place. When I tried to cancel, I was told I only had a few months left in the program and I might as well stay so that my creditor don't come after me. After a few months went by, they continued to take payments out. Now I've now paid them over $2000.

I signed up with Credit Solutions being misled that they were taking money from me each month to make payments to my credit card companies. The way I understood the company was that they let you make one low monthly payment, to to them, and they would pay all other companies to make your debt go away. Recently my husband and I were trying to buy a house and to our surprise, Credit Solutions has not done anything with the money they were taking from my account each month. None of my 3 credit cards were touched since I signed up for their services. So where did the 100 dollars a month since Nov. 06 go?

I called the company to ask them why my credit score is going down and not up, their response was that I was to pay a fee for their services and on the side save money on my own to pay off the credit card companies. Then why did I need them? I could have saved that $100 a month and used it towards my own payments. I would have not have signed up for this service had this been explained to me in the beginning. I was looking for a way, out not a bigger hole.

On Dec. 31, 2007, I signed a Limited Power of Attorney with CSA-Credit Solutions of America, Inc. to proactively intercede and to intervene and/or negotiate , mediate, or arbitrate the settlement of any and all of my creditor claims, suits, liens, judgments and/or disputes. I was told that within 7 days, CSA would contact the two credit card companies I had given them- Wells Fargo and Chase.

I was told that they would contact these companies and let them know that I was working with CSA. I was told not to speak with the credit card companies when they called but to let CSA handle it. I received dozens of phone calls from these credit card companies every day. I was harassed constantly by them. Finally I called CSA and asked why I was getting these calls when I was paying them to handle them. They gave me the State Attorney General's website to file a complaint and to ask them to Cease and Desist. Supposedly CSA had contacted both companies, but I continued to be charged interest and received continued bills and notices from Chase and Wells Fargo.

Every time I called to ask why they were still charging me interest and what CSA was doing to arrange a payoff, I got no answer. They said, "call us when you have the money to pay them." CSA told me I should be faxing copies of anything I got in the mail from either company to them. I did this but never received any contact from CSA acknowledging the receipt of those.

Every time I called, I spoke with a different person. No one knew my situation. When I asked if I could take a half-day off and come meet with them, they told me they did not have in-person appointments. Then I got emails saying that a settlement had been arranged and to look at my online account. By the time I got home from work and got the email and called the person, of course they were gone for the day and I had to talk with somebody else, another new person.

The settlement were very time limited, the amounts were a large lump sum like $10k or $12k and I had a week to take advantage of the offer. I got one guy's name in settlement named Kevin at extension # ** and told him that these were not a solution for me. Yes the reduced payoff amount was good but there was no way I could get that large a sum of money in that time frame (I'm a public school teacher). I explained my situation to him and asked him to go back to the credit card company and explain that I needed a smaller payoff amount and a longer time frame for multiple payments.

He told me they wouldn't do it. By now both accounts have gone into collection status, my credit report says Serious Delinquency and no one will lend me a penny. When I received a legal document from a collection agency, Mann Bracken, saying that I had a month to payoff 75% of the account balance or go into Arbitration I called CSA and spoke to someone in their Arbitration Dept. He directed me to www.arb_forum.com to fill out a Respondent's Form. He wished me good luck. Basically, I was on my own even though I'd paid them over $3,000 to handle this for me.

Let's talk about the money I've paid them for all this unservice. The first three months, I paid them $550. The 4th month this was reduced to $269.64. I have paid that now for 7 months. In total, I have paid them $3,537.48 and they have basically done nothing for me. I am cancelling my account. If I had the money to file a lawsuit against them I would, but I do not have that kind of money. Someone needs to do something about this - it's wrong and it should be stopped. I am in far worse condition financially and credit wise and they are getting away with it.

I'm not sure why this company is being allowed to stay in business to rip people off. And the people that work for them are scammers. Maybe they are connected with the overseas e-mail scams. My husband signed up with Credit Solutions, to cut one of our credit cards debt to 50% of what we owe. He was told that the first 3 installments were for their fees and if at any time he wanted to cancel the account we would be refunded the full amount that was taken out of the account for their fees. He was advised to close the checking where the credit card was affiliated with. And we were to open up another account and have the funds taken from the new account.

None of what they told my husband was true. The Rep who opened the account for him was supposedly no longer working for them any longer, and some other person had taken over his extension and title. We were starting to get the run around, we now smelled a rat. So we closed the account they were taking the money from. But now we are so behind on the payment four months and $1,500 later. They were taking $230.00 from the account so they got us for $1,020.00 and they refuse to give us a refund. This company is getting away with murder and ripping everybody off. We need to start a consumer class suit against them. They should be forced to refund all the money plus interest and late fees that the credit card companies are charging us.

And yes I thought my monthly payment was going to my credit card companies but no they lied too, because one day I went to get money out of my checking account but a credit card company garnished my money and then my paycheck too and I had to go to court for it... I had more bounced checks all over town because I was unaware that a card company would do this if Credit Solutions was working for me to settle this matter. So I was pissed and yes I tried to cancel my account with them and they gave me the runaround day after day on the phone for hours, pushed to another person and another one I was getting nowhere. And I want a refund too but I don't think I will ever get that. They got 1400 dollars of mine and I can't do anything about. I would love to go to court against them and get money back. If there is any help out there I would love to hear about it.

They did not settle any claims, in fact my situation got worse as these companies began to sue me and eventually put a lien on my bank account. Credit Solutions specifically told me not to talk to debt collectors that they would discuss a settlement on my behalf. Every time I called them asking for an update I was told to check my online account. After more than a year, nothing appeared on my online account and nothing happened through the phone either.

When I finally tried to cancel my account with them, they lectured me, patronized me and insulted me. They put me on hold for more than a half hour and then finally canceled my account. They never told me that the first 13 payments were service fee payments and they never once sent me any information through the mail. It became increasingly more difficult to talk to them the longer I was on the program. Not only did my situation get worse while working with Credit Solutions, I lost money that I could have been using to settle accounts.

My husband and I enrolled in a program call Credit Solutions. We were current on all of all Credit card bills. We did struggle keeping all of our accounts current but we ALWAYS managed to do so by working a little extra hard and doing what ever we could to make our payments. We "HAD" EXCELLENT credit. We saw an advertisement for Credit Solutions on NBC and it sounded like a REALLY good program for us. It was a program to ease the stress of paying all the creditors the min. monthly payment and also get the creditors paid off quickly.

Unfortunately, we had seen nothing but negative results from the company. We are now farther and deeper into debt. We get threatening calls daily and letters from attorneys and debt collectors daily stating that they are going to sue us. This is VERY scary for us. Not only is it scary but It really makes you feel like a good for nothing loser! This company tells you to start your own personal savings account. In my case, I am suppose to put 577.00 into my account monthly but the 2nd of each month. The first three months they take a fee out of 488.00 and the following 17 months they are taking a monthly fee of 234.00. I have paid 1935.95 in fees to the company. whenever you feel you have enough money in your account to make a settlement offer, you are to contact Credit Solutions.

They will contact the creditor and try to get them t settle. They tell you to ignore all calls from creditors and use caller Id to help identify the calls so you can avoid answering their calls. If you accidently pick up you are to tell the creditor to call a specific 800 number and talk to Credit Solutions because they are now handeling your account. The creditors tell you over and over that they are not going to deal with credit solutions. You tell the credit that you are not to even talk to them and hang up on them as soon as you give them the 800 number. Credit Solutions says "You are not required by law to talk to any creditor" and there is absolutely nothing they can do to you.

I called credit solutions and told them These calls made me really uncomfortable and I told them the things the creditors was saying to me. Credit Solutions told me not to worry and continue doing as they say. CS tells me it is all just scare tatics to try to get you to pay them without going through cs.

At one point I wanted to add a creditor to my program. It was a credit card hat I owed 600.00 on. Credit Solutions said it has to be at least 700.oo to qualify for their program. They suggest that I charge more to get it to 700.00. Stupidly I did so. CS sent me an addendum request form to fill out and requested I fax it back to them with all the new creditors information on it so they can add the creditot to my program. I did just that. I called and talked to a representative to make sure everything was in place. They said it was added and they sent me a conformation via email.

I kept getting calls from this credito. They told me over and over agin that they have heard nothing from CS. I kept telling them I enrolled my account with them and gave them the 800 number to call. They insisted that they were never contacted by CS. I called CS to make sure again that the card was added. CS said yes it was added and that this was just another creditor "scare Tatic" Ok I am trusted this creidt solution company, besides they are working for me and I am paying them so I should beable to trust them, right? WRONG!

A few weeks later I call CS to see if they will call and make a settlement off with this creditor that I recently added to the program. They said what creditor? You dont have that creditor enrolled with our program!!!! They said they could enroll this creditor and It would make my monthly fee like 50 higher. I said what are you talking about? I told them the whole story and I even got the email confirmation to show them!! They apologized several times and told me that would take care of it right away. They said to make it up to me they would go ahead and add this creidtor at not extra fees! Like they were helping me out;/ Ok I kept calm and thought to myself everyone amkes mistatkes, right and gave them another chance.

A few weeks later I got an email with some guys inromation on it. This guy was added an account to his prgram so it had his name, address, phone number and all his info on it. It had a revised worksheet with his advised balance and payment information. I called CS and asked what this was and if it was attended for someone else(which of coarse it was) They again aplogized several times and told me to disregard it. I told them I really hope no one is receiveing my personal information. And they said oh no not to worry.

This month I received a letter from an attorneys office stating that they were going to sure me if If I didnt pay asap. It was a scary letter. I called CS and faxed them the letter. CS said this letter is simply saying that if we dont do something they could freeze all my assts and bank accounts. CS called the creditor to see if they could work out some kind of settlement plan with me. After waiting on the other line for 10 and calling back once the CS rep told we that the credito was very hard to work with and he wouldnt budge. He told me to write a hardship letter to the company. He said I need to tell them that I am seperated from my husband with children, I recently got my job back and I have to pay all the bills with no help. He said put all my leisure bills like cell phone on with regular phone and cable on with a nother bill. He said list everything I have to pay and make it sound as bad a possible! (the only true thing about this story is the part that I have children) I sat there when he was telling me this all and I thought to myself....that just is not right!

I cant write a letter to someone and lie like that. There are people in the world in that situation and I am not about to lie and say I am one of them. Besides if this guy wants me to tell a story like that, how much is Credit Solutions lieing to me? I want to deal with someone I can trust as I want the people I am dealing with to beable to trust me. I told the rep I was not comfortable with that and I would get back to him. I got off the phone and said That is enough I am done with this company. It is nothing but lies and scams!

I called the next day and told them I wanted to cancel my enrollment. I told them the story and the guy I was talking to apologized several times. He sai is there anything they can do to keep me as a client. He said because as of right now you are "Gold" to our company and they will do anyting to keep me. I said you know, no there is nothing you can do that would ever change my mind. I contacted them later and asked for a refund of the 2000.00 that I allready paid but they just keep telling me they will get back to me. So I am still waiting. I really doubt they will refund me anything.

Now my husband and I are talking to a bankruptcy attorney. WE REALLY DO NOT want to do this, but all our creditor have been turned over to collection agencies and they all want really big payments. We cant just go back to paying your monthy payments like we were doing before we joined CS. WE have no Idea what else to do. We were about 36000 in debt now we are about 45000. I am trying to get a job and I called back for a second interview. I would really like to work for this company but they do creidt checks. I know there is no way they are going to want someone like me working for them when they see this all on my credit background search! I look like a real loser!

If I would of continued paying my monthly creditor bills I would still have a GREAT credit report but now I feel like there is nothing we can do. I think we are pretty much screwed! This program has done nothing but got us deeper into dept. It is going to cost me a job because it ruined my credit. All my husband and I do is argue because he thinks we need to file chapter 7 and I do not want to do that! Credit Solutions has pretty much ruined our lives! Please help!

When I signed on to credit solutions I explained to them that I was having financial difficulties due to two surgeries in 6 months, and the company that I was working for went out of business. I'm a single parent and have only one income. I was having trouble meeting my minimum payments and 3 of my credit cards raised my interest rates because "my debt to income ratio was too high." So even though I was never late or over limit, they slammed me with 18.99-21.99% rates instead of the 3.9 or so rates I had. I was overwhelmed and there was no way I could do this. I didn't want to destroy my credit. Credit Solutions said they could work with my creditors, cut my debt in half, stop the interest, any late fees, no harassing phone calls and I could be debt free in 3-4 years.

Sounded great, so I signed up. I was told I needed to save 500-600$ a month. The first three months they took out 534.15 a month. I got letter after letter from my creditors demanding payment. The calls were endless. They started at 8:01 in the am and went thru the day until 9pm. Every time I reached out to credit solutions I got a form letter response that they have the right to try to contact me but don't answer the phone. After 3 months they started taking 256.67 a month. I received one offer. The company wanted me to pay 4500 in a 3 month time span.

I told credit solutions this was impossible. How could I possible pay this? They said don't worry, just decline the offer. A few days later I received a summons as well as 2 others. They did nothing that they claimed they would do. All they accomplished was to destroy my credit and take my money. I truly would appreciate any help that you can give me to recoup some, if not all this money. I'm in financial ruin and now have to file for bankruptcy. So essentially I'm in worse shape and out 2115k. I have contacted the atty general in NY

I have performed my obligations under this contract. I paid the service fees. However, CSA has failed to settle all of my accounts as agreed. They only settled one account. I have made several attempts to resolve this matter with your customer service department and I have not received my refund to date. I have also made 2 written requests for a full refund. I was sold on a service over 48 months to help settle my outstanding debt that resulted from issues with my mortgage and financial distress. I was also told that my payments would consis of $248/month of which the full amount was payable to Credit Solutions for their services and beginning the 4th month, half was payable to Credit Solutions and the rest I should put in an account to accumlate so that when it was time to settle some of my deblt, I would have money to do so. I was also told that there was a 1% chance that any debt would ever go to litigation and that the longer a debt aged, the better settlement I would get.

I was told that my creditors were advised that Credit Solutions had power of attorney (which I did sign) for them to represent me regarding any collection issues. Four months into the program, I began receiving attorney letters from several of my creditors. I faxed copies of these letters to Credit Solutions, but never heard from them unless I called directly. At one point, I did receive a call from a "settlements representative" that asked if I had funds available to settle one of my credit card debts. The original debt was $4800 and the settlement offer was approx. $2560. I told the settlements person that if I truly had that much money available, why would I hire them to help me settle my debt?

Fortunately I had the funds due to the fact that I had been saving money for the costs associated with my mortgage loan modification, and therefore was able to settle the debt. When it came the day to settle, I had approximately 8 people calling me for my bank information in order to pay the creditor. I was very upset and angry and thought I had escalated through their company to make my complaint to them. I was told that everything was taken care of and that fortunately I had not lost the opportunity to settle. My concern was that the originaly person had my bank information and why were so many others from the same department calling me asking for the same information?

I continued to receive additional letters from lawyers on other debts in my plan. I faxed the letters and called to ensure that there was something being done on my behalf to preclude this particular debt from going to court. I was assured that they had made contact with the lawyers and that they did not have intention to sue at that time. I was advised by Credit Solutions that they would stay in contact with the lawyer's office and keep me informed. The following day I was served with court papers (June 25, 2008). I immediately called Credit Solutions and they told me that they would call and make arrangements to settle the account. I never got a call so I had to call again a few days later. I spoke to another settlements person who asked me the same thing the other person had asked - if I had funds to settle. I went through my whole argument about having money and if I did why would I use them, etc.

I told them that I wanted to cancel my contract and that most likely I was going to file Chapter 13. They offered to hand-hold my account. They have been calling, but to date the account has not been settled. On July 18, 2008 I entered into Chapter 13 with an attorney in my area. I will be contacting Credit Solutions to cancel their services tomorrow July 20th. I am seeking all my money back due to their lack of detail, due to their lack of not caring about my situation, for the lack of not meeting every expectation they told me about when I initially signed with them. They were very proactive to question when one payment was not received, but when it came to my case and my creditors, if I did not call, I would not hear from them.

I am seeking reimbursement for what I have paid Credit Solutions so far. I feel that they have not had my best interested in mind. I sent them every letter/statement received and never did they call just to check in and provide status. The only way I would obtain status is if I called. At one point I had another settlements person email me telling me she had a great offer and that I should take it. It was for a debt in the amount of $14,000. The creditor was willing to settle in the amount of approx. $8700 in a lump sum or over 10 months with payments of $870! I told her that I had been in their program for approximately 5 months and had only $360 saved in the account I was asked to set up and where did she think I could come up with that large amount of money or come up with that amount over the next 10 months! They completely misrepresent what they are capable of doing and will only do what they can when pressured to do so. The people that I have talked to and told me they would get back to me never had done so.

Only over the past couple of weeks when I threatened to cancel them have they been attentive and helpful, but again asking for funds up front to settle debts. I can't imagine being in this program 48 months and creditors waiting that long, nor over 48 months at $123/mo having thousands of dollars to settle these accounts!! I don't know why they would put one on a payment plan that they the amount put into savings will not cover the amounts they are negotiating settlements on! They have falsified what they can do. In my case, my payment of $252 would never have covered their costs, the debt I did settle on plus the $8700 debt that they wanted to settle. It would take a large amount of money to settle period! I am seeking all my money back as they have decieved me with their services.

I joined Credit Solutions in 2006 for debt relief after a divorce. Since that time they have not settled any accounts, have taken over $2300 from me, told me NOT to appear in court after I received a summons. Because of that, a judgment was passed against me and my bank account was levied for twice the amount I owed. This happened on Dec 6, 2007. Since that time I have been getting the runaround, redirected, no solutions, no return calls after being told they would get back to me.

It is April 30, 2008 and my bank account is still frozen and they are doing nothing to help me. It is their fault and I demanded a refund. They keep giving me the runaround, put me on hold forever, say someone will get back to me and they never give me any answers.

My credit has been tarnished. I lost my bank account and all the money in it. It is still frozen. They took over $2300 in service fees from me.

I called Credit solutions hoping that they would help me consolidate my credit cards without affecting me at all. The person I spoke with, told me that I can consolidate all of my accounts and make just one low payment a month. So I did it. One of my creditors call me last night and told me that if I don't make a payment now they're going to repossess my filter system. I talked to one of the representatives of Credit Solutions this morning and I told him my problem, he told me that the person who open my account with Credit Solutions was not supposed to accept the accounts that might had items that could be repossessed, he also told me that there's nothing they can do about.

Now I'm behind two months on two of my accounts, and the money that I had to buy food for the month, I have to use it to pay the late charges and the two months that I'm behind. I might be reported it to a collection agency. In my house I'm the only one who has a good credit. My husband and I are having a lot of problems (fights) because of this

By JD Power Assoc & CNBC recommendation, I went with Credit Solutions. I was skeptical in the beginning but my mistake went through with the process. After doing more research and having 3 months of fees taking out and no contact with my creditors, I called to cancel. One rep takes down my reasons and explains that I have to wait for a counselor to handle the cancelation. After waiting 5 minutes on the phone, the same rep says that they are experiencing high call volumes, try back another time. It has happened twice already

I am currently at a loss of over $900 for services that were never performed or attempted

I paid off on Nos1&2 cards just as I applied for debt assistance in repayment as I was trying to fullfil obligation. Therefore,I had only #3 card to take care of,well, after C-Solns help, Not only was I paying them, but my debt rose by about 50%, C-Soln had collected hundreds from me and I had no proof as to what was happening to my account.

Their web site could not give me any proper info.,and on two occusation after reaching their office after 2-6 hrs, yes it took me 6 hrs to get to their office, their phone receptionist hung up on my call after getting my info and never called me back.

They charge a very high monthly fee for their nonexistent service. They don't pay your creditors anything. They don't stop harassing phone calls from your creditors. The only useful thing you get is a debt solutions kit with forms in it that you fill out and submit yourself to your creditors. This is somewhat useful, but it is nowhere near what you think you are getting when you agree to this.

They taok what little money I have left and they are doing nothing to help me. With the money they cheated me out of, I could have at least paid off a few of my smaller creditors. I stopped their automatic draft on my checking account and I refuse to pay any more for this useless service

I have been calling and emailing with Credit Solutions representatives and have been left hanging on the status of my account. I was wondering please if someone could call me or email me back a status of my account. My bank accounts have been frozen, money has been seized by a creditor that was in the care of Credit Solutions, also there are liens and judgements against my name and house.

I spoke with the Better Business Bureau and action has been taken. I would like all my issues rectified and the money I have paid Credit Solutions since I have been a member refunded to me. I am completely unhappy and dissatisfied with the service provided to me. This is a huge mess and I need immediate answers. I am at a complete stand still because of Credit Solutions.

I signed up with Credit Solutions 9/1/06, with a Steven Newman (credit specialist). I signed Power of Attorney so they would speak to all creditors on my behalf. They advised me to stop payments, screen phone calls, send all paperwork I receive in the mail to them via fax. I gave them $323 per month for the first 3 months. Then half that for the remaining 14 months, saving the other half in an account. That was set aside to then be used to pay off creditors as they settled for me.

I am now, one year later, with a frozen bank account, and threats from creditors to garnish my wages. I have been told by creditors that I began contacting myself, that no one from this company contacted them to settle. I was given false. damaging advice from Credit Solutions in several matters.

My credit is ruined. I have risked having wages garnished, and risk having a lien on land we dream of building a home on. We are at a very difficult financial situation today, and have two small children, and are stressed. I have hired a lawyer to assist us with this situation.

In 2005, after fighting a family hardship which resulted in a terrible financial situation, I searched for someone who could help. I spoke with Credit Solutions, who told me that they could settle my debts for 40-60% of what I owed. The price for this service was 15% of my original debt. I agreed, believing that they were actually going to help me get out of debt within the 5 years that they promised. I would be expected to make monthly payments which would be applied to the debt as they settled it.

Now, here we are , two years later and only one of the ten accounts they promised to settle has been paid. In fact, the only ones who have really been paid is Credit Solutions themselves. They no longer will answer my phone calls and i have left dozens of messages with no response. At this point, I have been sued by most of my creditors, and am having my bank accounts garnished on a regular basis which is sending me into bankruptcy. Credit Solutions has not had any contact with me in months (except to take their payment out of my account) and I can't even get anyone to speak with me to close my account with them. They have not settled any more of my debt and at this point, I am out of options. What I really want is to tell others...Do NOT trust them...they will not do what they promise and I am in a much worse situation now than I was when I signed up with them two years ago. All I wanted was help and they basically scammed me out of fifteen thousand dollars that I didn't have to give them...I could have been in less debt just by sending that to my creditors. And have had a chance of a financial future that is now in shreds.

I contacted credit solutions to try and reduce two credit card payments. I was told to write the companies and inform them of this. Credit solutions said they too would contact the companies. I was told not to talk to the credit card companies and credit solutions would handle everything as long as I made my monthly payments to them. I was made aware the money would be 'set aside' until a full payment could be made. I however believed the credit card companies had agreed to this arrangement because once a month credit solutions would call me and update. Everything according to them was in order.

We found this company from internet and offering credit card financial help, after talked with 1 of their representative, they assured us that the program will reduce the payment and will not hurt our credit score much. They told us to not contacting our credit cards company and let them take care the rest. They even saying that they're a power attorney specialized for helping a credit card customer like us. When the credit cards company starting to call and ask us, they keep insisting saying It's okay we take care of them, and after couple months we saw our credit score going down very fast, creditor called us, and they never respond our calls/emails.

Their irresponsible action causing our credit score damaged totally ( we're always paid the cards on time, but then they told us to stop and collect the money), now we have to face double credit card payment and creditor keep calling us. We tried to tell them stop charging our bank account, and now they spamming our phone to come back and using their service still.
