I applied for information on credit cards. They sent me information stating to send them $300 for 300 credit. I thought a bunch of crap. I threw the paper away. Next thing I know is $98 is gone out of my bank and tried to take another $98 out. But I had no more funds. So now, I'm broke for two weeks. Hoping I would get it back from my bank.

There is nothing wrong with this bank or its cards. There is something wrong with the idiots who think they "did not receive" a card they paid for. Maybe, had they have read the agreement and sent in their money for their secure account, they would receive their card. Do you, morons, know what a secure card is? Look it up. This bank is great for those who need credit help!

They sent me a letter through mail saying that I had a $5000 line of credit and just to send $55 for it and in 2 weeks I would receive my card. Well, I mailed that out on February 6, 2010 and all it cost me $76.00 to mail it through the post office. At that time my husband is on unemployment and that was part of our savings money and we actually believed this bank, and we were relying on that card to at least keep food on the table and for what, for nothing. We just to come and find out they are scamming out people for their money. Now this will lead me to believe I can’t trust a bank, never in my life.

I haven't heard from the bank since I mailed my money order approximately one month ago. I spent approximately $35 to $45 including rush delivery fee. I have my money order receipt. Have enough claims been filed for me to initiate a consultation with an attorney to determine if a class action case may be explored against New Millennium Bank? Do you know how many claims are required to initiate a class action case?

The New Millennium Bank is very misleading! I received a "pre-approved" letter and so I wanted it, I mailed it out along with a check for $49. About 2 weeks later, I received a letter asking for additional deposits of $300-$5000 so that they could issue the credit cards.

When I emailed them asking for the refund of my $49 because I was no longer interested. Weeks later, "FRD" emails me back stating that it was a processing fee? (non refundable).

We'll just want to let you all know that's interested in this Millennium Bank credit cards, don't fall for them! Other credit cards company will process your application at no cost whether you're approve or not. They'll even send you a letter and let you know the status. This bank only wants your $49 then ask for additional deposits. They use your money to invest, then tells you that you could closed your account anytime along with your interest. Wouldn't it be smarter to open a savings account at a reputable bank? There's no charge plus they'll give you interest too.

I am a teacher. I received an offer from New Millennium Bank that said that Visa and/or MasterCard credit cards were available for a fee, and that a "rush service" was available. Since I had a large co-pay to pay for oral surgery for my daughter, I decided to pay the fee, go ahead and get both cards offered, and pay the rush service fee. The advertising sent by New Millennium Bank was misleading and dishonest. It said, in bold print, that these credit cards were available without a credit check, and that it was 'simple' as sending in the fee. On 1/8/10, I sent a cashier’s check for $59.00 to New Millennium bank for both cards and a $10.00 "rush service" fee.

When I did not receive the cards in time to qualify for any kind of "rush service", I contacted New Millennium bank. At first they did not bother to reply. When they finally did reply, I was told that 'of course they cannot offer an unsecured credit line' and that I would have to deposit in their bank the amount I want to have in credit. This is NOT what the advertising led me to believe. If I had known that, I would have never sent them any money in the first place. I demanded my money back, and I have today received an e-mail from FDR at the bank to say that they have not received my application. I do not believe that. I sent it first class from the main post office in Santa Fe on 1/8/10.

They also told me to stop payment on the cashier's check. When I called the credit union, they told me there is a $20 fee for stopping payment. Why should their dishonest and misleading advertising cost me $20.00? What about truth in advertising and individual's rights not to be misled by this type of advertising? I hope you can do something to hold this bank accountable for their actions.

The consequences have been a lot of inconvenience in terms of both time and money. In addition, since it was essential that I pay the co-pay for my daughter's oral surgery, I am now one mortgage payment behind. If I had known that I was being deceived, I could have tried other avenues to get a loan. As it was, the surgery was already scheduled, my daughter, who is 19, had arranged to be off work, and the dentist said it was absolutely essential, so we went ahead with the surgery while not being able to pay our mortgage.

I was advised last year by my broker, whom I was trying to get a home from, to get the card to get a higher credit score. I sent them 420.00 that was an annual fee plus app. fee then I didn't get my card until 8 weeks later. I had only a line of credit of 300.00, they charged me 59.00 from the start when the card was adv. then I had the rest. When I asked about the charge they said it was a one time annual fee, which I had already paid. So I paid the card off through online banking which was another fee because they don't take checks, money orders, debit card, or other credit card payment. The only payment is by money gram so I did not like the payment method so requested my money back last Feb.

I was told I had to wait for my annual date to get a refund then was charged other fees. In June, I got those taken off and requested a letter of balance that was zero so I would not have a problem getting back my cash. I never got it, got a new card two weeks ago and called to request a money back. I was told I would get it in 8 to 10 business days with a letter of request of my acct begging closed so fax the letter. Today I got a letter, it said I would not get my money for 10 weeks so I called them and was told that there were processing methods. I will call and write as long as they have my money, someone needs to do something about this company. This is not a good company for anyone to be involved with.

New Millennium Bank as with any secured cards may charge outrageous fees and interest. But it is a secured card and people like me need one. Without New Millennium Bank, I would have a harder time fixing my credit. I even get denied secured cards at some places. A secured card is where I fund the credit limit. New Millennium Bank isn't doing anything that bad. They provide a service and I am willing to pay for it.

Try reading sometimes people. People don't read anything then cry. It is a secured card and a decent one at that. Plus, they accepted me and now I can show a credit line on my credit report. People aren't very bright at all.

New Millenium Bank sent me an application for a Visa and MC credit card. They asked for a processing fee of $37.50. The offer sounded real, so I sent the application with a check. They did not explain in this application form that you had to deposit funds for the cards to be worth anything. So, in essence, you put your money into the cards to gain credit on your own money, and then they charge you an annual fee of $59, and charge you interest to use your own money!

Does this sound logical? I am out the $37.50 but this company should be investigated for fraudulent advertising and should be listed as a scam. Many Americans have suffered due to the economical crisis. I am sure that President Obama would agree that this company is stealing hard-earned cash from Americans. Like the other people who wanted the two cards from NMB, I was also tricked--but it was partially my fault. I received the application from NMB back in the first week of December. I read how it said that I was approved for $10k total for both cards so I filled it out and mailed it along with $49. Days later, I realized that there was another paper that came with the application, so I looked at it. That's when it hit me. It explained how the credit limit is based on how much you put in--$5,000 being the most and $300 being the minimum. You're actually losing money if you put in the credit card because of the 19% interest. You don't start with any money on the cards at all. Learn from my mistake. Read the fine print! You won't have false hope or be $49 short.

My dad got mixed up with sweepstakes reporting companies, was getting 20 to 40 letters a day, and started getting calls from companies telling him he won money and he just had to wire money. He was averaging over a $100 a day to these places. They sell the names and once you get on one, they sell it and it is all but impossible to stop the mail or the calls. My dad got a call from someone that told him they wanted him to work for them and they would pay him $1,200,000 to work for them but he needed two credit cards to pay other winners. My sister and I took him to court. I found a check he wrote New Millennium Bank for a Visa and MasterCard. He never got the cards. I did have him on life lock.

Tonight, he just got a new letter for a Platinum Level MasterCard or Visa, or both. He saves $20 if he orders them both ($37.50) and rush processing for an extra $6. The address and email address above are his. He was adjudicated as incapacitated. I have power of attorney and I'm co-trustee of his estate. I can't say this company is a complete fraud because my dad got a check that turned out to be worthless from an honest company and honest bank, but I noticed the phone number on my dad's letter was different from the company.

When I called them on the real number I got when I googled the company and asked for the guy my dad was supposed to talk to, I was told no one by that name worked there. I also noticed from the website that the logo was not the same as what was on the letter. I emailed them a copy of the letter and the check. I got a response the check was bogus and they wanted help in catching these people. If you get a letter with an offer for a credit card with no credit check, I would pass it up. The truth about what they do, minus the opinions, they do not tell you it is secured. They take $35, then they tell you they want a secured amount. If you call the phone number, you are transferred via phone system to a number that no one answers. I'm guessing I've lost the $35 fee they took under deceptive pretenses. I'm worried that they will attempt to take more because they now have my account numbers.

I also have another acct. at Woodforest Bank where my disability and SSI checks go. New Millennium sent me an application for a credit card, secured. I had no need for it so I disregarded the letter, not filling out the application that was with the letter. Unknown to me, my Bank of America received a $99 electronic transaction. Now the acct. had 0 monies in it so this transaction the bank approved and paid on my behalf and called me after the fact to tell me I was $105.00 overdraw!

I was shocked because I gave no one from Millennium Bank any of my information. I never sent the application so how did these people get my banking information to be able to do this? I am livid behind this because I cannot get any closure to this matter. My bank says I have to follow up on this myself since the acct. is closed and they aren't doing any courtesy to investigate even though I explained that I didn't approve this transaction. The bank feels that if the company has my banking info, I must have given it to them.

No, I did not! These people are defrauding me and have robbed me and I demand satisfaction. I have tried calling their customer service # ever since I found this out. I am not getting any answer at all no matter the times I call. I went on the internet to email them and found that several people have lodged similar complaints about this company. I found this site and decided to email you on the outside chance that you will have better results than I did. On the letter, they sent to me there is a ref. #. It was sent to me late August. I never requested this card. I never sent them anything saying I wanted this card. Since they took the $99, I never even received the so-called secured credit card! These people must be stopped. I called my bank, and I was informed that the charge was from my husband's credit card. This was news to me, because he doesn't have a credit card nor does he have a social security number with which to get one. There was not enough money in the account to pay this check. So it was returned, and I was charged $35.00 NSF for it.

Fast forward to two weeks. Another charge came through our account for the $99.95. This time, it was paid. I called my bank, and they told me that this transaction has cost me $300 in overdraft fees. So I looked the bank up and called them. After waiting on the phone for over 35 minutes, I spoke to a woman who was very sympathetic to my plight then told me to fax the fraud department.

I asked to speak to someone in that department and was told that I would only be able to fax them. At that point, I told her that this sounded very fishy to me, and she promptly connected me to her supervisor. The supervisor Leah was very nice to me on the phone, and she said that she couldn't even find evidence of our application or of either one of us being in the system. I then read the whole offer and it does state in the offer that you must open a savings account, minimum of $300.00 and that is what your credit limit will be, so if you deposit more money, then your credit limit will be that amount. This is why they call it a SECURED CREDIT CARD. This is not misleading in any way, shape or form. For all the people here that has had or is having an issue, it seems to me that when you sent your $35, $40 or whatever your processing fee was, that you did not read the whole offer and fee, that you were scammed. So we sent them a check by mail for an amount of $59. We waited quite some time for a response by mail. I checked my online bank account to see that the check had been cashed after 7 days that it was sent, but still there was no response within 3 weeks. I checked the initial letter received from the company to look for a phone number to call and complain and much to my dismay there was no telephone numbers or address to contact them at. Next, I called my bank's customer service line to see what I could do to get my money back, they told to that I could fill out an affidavit and the bank would conduct an internal investigation to get my money back. I then went to my bank and did so.

A month and a half after the check was cashed I got a letter in the mail from my bank stating that they were unable to recover my funds and that they had been uncooperative. It also said that I will now need to consider this a loss or try another legal avenue such as small claims court. I was in a position where I needed to reestablish my credit so I opened an account with them. The fees are big but if you need to reestablish your credit any place that is going to help charges large fees.

I read all the papers they sent and have had no problems with them at all. It costs a little more if you charge to much or make a late payment. Every 30 days a positive or negative comment goes to the credit Bureau. That is what you need to reestablish credit. The people
writing cause they can't afford 59 dollars or whatever they charge should not be trying to get a credit card yet.

Try making enough money to pay your bills first then you may want to think about getting credit.

I have had no problems with this bank. It may not be the best deal out there but it will help build your credit. Customer service is not hard to get ahold of and the statements I receive every month are accurate. I think if customer service is a little rude sometimes it is because of the people that can not read and are trying to make the bank look like they are misrepresenting themselves.

They totally misrepresented their original offer and I fell for it. Now they'll probably hold on to my money for a month or two before reimbursing if I write them a letter. The main complaint I have is that they fool people to get that initial money, probably hoping to get more or that they will just give up and forget about the money they sent them initially? We'll see.

I just wanted to add a positive comment about New Millenium bank, as I have been a customer of theirs for four or five years now. I obtained a secured credit card from them in order to re-establish my credit, and it really has helped. I recall the instructions being clear about the processing fee, and the secured deposit required. I have had a couple of minor issues with them throughout the years but they have always been resolved, and the customer service people have never been rude.

My only real complaint is that they are fairly expensive. I now have an unsecured card with better terms and less fees than their card which was secured with my own money! Still, I feel it is worth it when you consider that I was approved for the unsecured card because of the credit history I was able to build with their card. So, I found them NOT to be devious or underhanded or anything like that, but a few things I didn't like are:

1.I found it odd that if I overpaid my bill, it reduced my available credit (for example, if I had a $300 limit and over paid by $5, my available credit was reduced to $295. When a $5 purchase was made, my available credit went back up to $300. Wierd. 2.When you make a payment to them, they hold it for seven days before the credit is available. This happens whether you pay by check, EFT, or ACH payment. 3.They send you information on how to increase your credit limit when you first receive your card, but if you misplace it then it's not very clear how to do it (different payment address, different customer service numbers, etc). Furthermore, the increase deposit payment can be easily applied as a regular payment (hence the knowledge of the overpayment issues listed in #1). They do require that you pay off and close your card before returning your secured funds to you, but again, this makes sense as the money is there to secure your line of credit and not there to be drawn against like in a checking account. Like any extension of credit, the balance must be paid. Once that is done they can close the account and then return the security deposit. I hope this information helps give a more balanced review of this company, and the services they provide.

I was online looking at the credit card and was reading the fees part of the application. My husband and I decided that right now it was to much for the processing fees and annual fee for the amount of credit that it was going to allow us to have. We opted out of the online application and it charged our checking account anyway. We did not receive the card and someone from the credit card company called us to let us know that we would be receiving our card if we were still interested. We advised the caller that we were not interested but the processing fee was still taken out of our account and we were told that it would be about a week before the refund and it has been now almost a month. We would like our processing fee of $99.00 returned back to our account immediately.

This has caused a considerable amount of anxiety because not only that we had opted out of the online application before we agreed to anything but that a company would take what does not belong to them after the person decides to opt out and then call to see if the credit card is still wanted and have someone lie on the phone about how long it would be before the refund could be processed. I work in that situation about having credit cards processed and I know how long it takes but I also know when I have been stung by a company that only wants that processing money to make the interest off of it for as long as they can. You have made enough interest off my $99.00 and I would like it back because my family needs it more now than you do. You have caused enough considerable harm financially to my family as it is.

i called New Millenium and after waiting for nearly 45 minutes I spoke with an agent and informed them of my situation. They told me that they had not recieved my application. At this point I had been solicited by another company and was giving New millennium a chance to make things right. I was informed that they did not have my application . Meanewhile my check has been cashed, i was iformed that i would have to fax a copy of my statement and caqncelled check to prove that they cashed my check and write a letter stating i wanted my application fee bac and that i would recieve a check in approximately 3 weeks.

I waited a month and still nothing. I called again and asked to speak with a supervisor after waiting another 45 minutes to talk to an agent. I was put on the phone with Ms Doyle who was by far the most rude and unprofessional person I've ever dealt with. I informed her of my situation and she asked me to fax the same documents again.

I oasked for her email address so I could scan the documents and just email her. She said that her bank email address was confidential and could not recieve outside email. i then asked for her direct number so i could contact her to verify if she recieved my fax and she said that she did not have a direct number. I asked if she could contact me so i could make sure i recieved a fax and she said she couldnt because she gets many faxes.

I have 2 secured credit cards with New Millenium Bank. They are each secured with $2,000 cash. My balances are about $1,800 each. The high balances have a negative effect on my credit scores and also these cards have high fees. I want to get rid of these cards, but they tell me that I have to pay them off first and then they will send me my money in 3-4 months.

These people somehow got ahold of my banking information, checking & routing number and billed me $149.95 for a card I did not apply for. There is no phone # or address at which to contact them to dispute this. I Did NOT apply for anything with NMB.

As a result they made my acct overdrawn, which caused me fee from my bank and caused my bank to kick back a payment to one of my credit cards, which in turn caused me to be late/overdrawn on that card. It's a domino effect and not in a good way.

I had never applied for a credit card through New Millenium Bank before, but somehow they accessed my information from www.citicards.com when I applied for a card through them. They put my information into their computers but never had I applied for a NMB credit card, and they had it no where in their system that I had been approved for one. I was then charged a $99.95 setup fee through New Millenium Bank, when i had never even applied. I complained and I never received my money back.

I am only 18 years old and I have several bills to pay. Not only do I have a $445.81 car payment each month but also a $85.00 cell phone bill that I alone have to pay. I only make $235 a week, so the $99.95 taken out of my checking account to pay something that I never received, was a big loss to me. Obviously, NMB is taking money from families.

I just recently got an credit card approval from New Millenium Bank saying that I could get two credit cards for $49 and I could it rush delivery $10 more. It said nothing about being a secured credit card unless it was in fine print somewhere I couldn't see it. So I sent the $59 for the credit cards and waited. Then a week later I got another letter from New Millenium Bank an another approval letter for secure credit cards, which was not the same letter as the first one, saying that I could get SECURE CREDIT CARDS for $59. So my first problem I have with bank is where is the first money I sent them. And the second problem I have with them is that this is just a scam to get $59 out of thousands of people or it might a fine-print scam which in my opinion is just a legal scam, but still a scam.

I am a 32 year old married father with three kids. I am attending trade school and only working part-time. My wife is the stuggling provider of the house since I'm only working part-time and attending school. My credit isn't in that bad of shape but not good enough to get a credit card. So when I got this notice from I was happy. I thought this was a Bank that was going to give us help financially while I was attending school, but instead it was a Bank that was there to hurt us. That $59 that I sent to this Bank could have spent on something else that could have been useful. And if I wanted a savings account I would have went to the bank in my own town.

I received a call from New Millennium bank last June asking me to pay on my credit card balance of $450. I had never heard of this bank. I ordered my credit reports and discovered someone had used my name and SSN and phone no. (but giving another address) to get a card from New Millennium bank. I wrote that bank, explaining and asking to see a copy of the application for the credit card in October. It is April and they have not answered. This bank appears to be actively participating in the theft of my identity.

My credit score has been substantially reduced by showing this fraudulent debt, costing me increased interest payments on a $100,000 loan.

I was notified two months ago by First Credit of America stating that they were collecting for New Mellenium Bank. Reluctantly, I gave them my debit card information and they processed a payment in the amount of 100.00 (give or take). Last month, a gentleman from First Credit of America called me at home demanding another payment be made on this account or he would be sending a Sheriff deputy to my house. After arguing with the man, I refused to give anymore information or authorize any more transactions. I called NMB and learned that they had not received any payments from the collection agency and had not been conducting anymore business with them. I was instructed by someone at NMB to get a copy from my bank of the transaction for 100.00 which I did and faxed to them. That day, I called and spoke to a supervisor who informed me she would look into the matter further. Needless to say, I never heard back from her again. Today (3-13-07) I received two phone calls from NMB asking again for payment including the 100.00 which I previously paid to the collection agency who failed to forward the payment to NMB. I feel I have been a victim of fraud and hold the collection agency guilty of stealing money from me and trying to gain more.

My credit report continues to suffer and I am unable to purchase a house. I have had to endure countless hours of phone calls and harassment by all parties involved. This has caused me undue stress and mental stain.

This place is using bait and switch tactics. You think you will get a credit card, but then they start charging you for everything. I would recommend you stay away from this place. One of the defenders said one of the stupidest things I have ever heard, I don't care how much money you have on a credit card, no one in their right mind wants to give away $35 to just anyone. I bet Kevin is really Carbon, or Sada or one of the other operators.

I sent a request form for cancellation, as requested by the bank, and the money that was taken out, was reported that it would be put back into my account in a timely manner, and it has not been done yet. It has been over a month, and nothing has happened yet. My Attorney is waiting to hear from me, as to what I want him to do about this. I hope this is resolved today, or I may go ahead and have him proceed with action, to get this done quickly. I hope to avoid this, but if it is not handled today, I may have no other choice.

I was very shocked, and most upset with this, and I was put into a strong negative situation with a creditor, as a result of money taken out of my account, wich left me with no funds to pay a bill. In fact, I had my power shut off because of this.

A few years ago I applied for a credit card through New Millenium Bank - it was a secured card. I paid $59. for annual fee and $500 deposit in a interest bearing account while I used the card. I received the card and used it, paid the bill promptly, and when I was done using it, I cancelled the card, and requested that my $500 deposit and interest incurred be returned to me. Prior to that, I had been receiving my monthly statements, saying not to pay anything, as I had a small credit on my card. So I decided to cancel the card and notified New Milenium of such. I sent a letter requesting my money bank and their response to me was that I had an account balance of over $500 on my card and there would be no refund. This was not true, I HAD NO BALANCE AND THEY LIED!! This credit card so called bank has committed credit card fraud in the worst way. They are criminals who deny consumers their rightful refund. I did not have any balance on my card, which was why I was able to cancel it. I was royally ripped off by this bank and I want justice in them returning my deposit plus interest. I have recently read many testimonials from other consumers who have been robbed of their money by this bank, whether they applied for the card, paid the money to get the card, and never received the card, not their money refunded. For a bank to not refund money, the enjoy the profit they make off us is a disgrace. I am hoping you can help me in this situation and help me get my money back. It's the only fair thing they can do. This is fraud on their part, pure and simple. Thank you in advance for anything you can do to get my money bank and report their wrongdoing to whoever handles this kind of stealing from innocent consumers.
