I've only been on the first page of the reviews about Credit One bank, but I sure wish that I read before signing up because if I had I would not have. My experience is not as bad as most, as I canceled my card after making my first payment. I received my card and was able to use it just fine, but when it came time to make a payment things went south quickly.

This bank offers two options to make the payment online, an express option for $9.95 and a regular payment option. The express payment option was supposed to make all funds available the next business day whereas the regular option would result in funds being available in 5 business days. The express option could be paid using a checking account or credit/debit card. The regular option could only be paid via checking account. Something about the express payment option was strange and screamed of a money grab by the bank, especially since my Capitol One card could be paid using my bank account and the funds were available the next business day, for free. I planned to use the card in 3 business days, so I chose the express payment option anyway. Their online payment process was clunky and frustrating but after about 20 minutes I was able to get the payment to go through.

I go to check my balance on the second business day and only the first $100 of my balance was available even though I paid my entire balance off. I called their support line to see why this was and was told that since I made the payment using my bank account they could only make the first $100 available and they needed to verify funds for the rest of my payment before making the rest of my credit line available. This was not explained on their website, and I told the support staff that but there was apparently nothing they could do.

This whole payment experience was problematic and frustrating, and I wanted nothing to do with this bank any longer so I asked to have my express payment fee refunded and my account closed. I was transferred to an account specialist to accomplish this. I had to go through the entire conversation again with the account specialist, and a few minutes after he acknowledged that I wished to have my account closed he was still trying to explain their policies that I had already understood and kept talking over me after I kept asking for the express payment refund and to have my account closed. I finally raised my voice just a bit since it was clearly apparent that he was not listening and asked him to listen. Again he cut me off and hurriedly told my that my account was now closed and I will receive a credit for the express payment fee. Immediately after he hung up on me.

I called back to talk to a manager because I wanted to confirm that my account was closed and since the account was closed ask how they were going to credit the express payment fee back to me, and of course to file a complaint. I was forwarded to a supervisor who confirmed that my account was closed and that they will send the credit for the express payment via check. When I asked if it is acceptable for their agents to speak over their customers or to hang up on them, of course the response was no. However, the reviews here indicate otherwise. Please do yourself a favor and avoid the frustration. Avoid Credit One Bank.

I often try to pay my bills online using their website. It is often down and you'll receive a message that reads, "Technical difficulties" or something along those lines. I tried so often one time, that by the time I was successful, the payment was late and it was entered as late on my credit report. I called them and they said they would correct it. As of today, it is still entered as late on my credit report. I have 8 other credit cards that have a perfect payment record. I used this credit card to re-establish credit after my divorce. I'm going to continue to use this card, but I have something up my sleeve where I will use them and it will cost me little to nothing.

I have been using this card to lift my credit score and have been paying 1 month in advance of all my payments to be flawless to avoid possible interest rates accumulating. However, one day as I looked into my statements, they have been charging me Interest on my spending when I was paying my credit card off almost twice a month. I called and found out that the interest APR, is calculated for Daily purchase. So basically, if you buy something now with the card YOU'LL BE PAYING INTEREST ON IT for the DAYS that goes by until the day you pay it off. WHAT KIND OF FRAUD IS THIS???

I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, and all of their customer service representatives are in INDIA by the way. They finally passed the phone to another Indian guy who was the supervisor and offered my no ANNUAL FEE (which I found out it was $99 a year - which was divided into monthly to charge me $8.25 a month!) for the next 6 months. This is "ALL" that they could do for me. So I took the offer and WILL CALL BACK IN 6TH MONTH from today to re-negotiate. TIPS FOR ALL: For all who already have this card, if you cancel your card, it will impact your credit score. Just call and complain and threaten them so that they will do something for you. Pay off the card in FULL and don't ever utilize this card ever again. CALL TO AVOID THE ANNUAL FEE AS WELL!!!

I had my card for two years, as of this morning. This morning, I received a call, from Credit One, informing me that my card had an overdue balance. I told them that it was impossible because I had recently paid my card completely off in April. I then asked when my last purchase had been made and the representative told me that my last purchase had been made in February. He then informed me that the card came with "annual monthly payments" of $8.50 a month, as I had agreed to in the contract. I had never agreed to this. I then informed the representative that I would like to cancel the card. The representative then informed me that I would be charged an additional fee of $8.25 to cover "credit bureau fees". After agreeing to these conditions, I was transferred to customer service, and I'm pretty sure that I talked to THE SAME EXACT PERSON, but with a different pseudonym this time.

The representative then processed my payment and hopefully this nightmare is now over. The representative was constantly talking, explaining every step in extreme detail, which was highly annoying because he was well aware that I was not in a good mood. He was Indian, and I had already mentioned that I wanted to end my services with card. When I mentioned canceling the card a second time, he acted very shocked. In the end, I paid $45 when I shouldn't have paid a damn dime. The overall experience with the company was actually a four-star experience for a year and a half. I was locked out of my online account and I was unable to contact them through phone, even though I had made a payment. My wife and I then received random suspicious phone numbers everyday, equaling roughly 20 per day on both phones combined.

Finally I answered the phone after a few weeks and it was a call from collections. They let me talk to Credit One and Credit One claimed that I had made a payment in November, although it supposedly hadn't been processed through and the money was supposedly returned. After talking to my bank and reviewing my records, I had never been refunded. I then talked to Credit One again and they STILL refused to pay me back. After another month of not paying due to being unhappy, I finally paid them back due to them causing my credit to absolutely nosedive. My credit had gone down well over 100 points and I have still not recovered from it. This is an absolutely atrocious company and they are a complex scam. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I went to check my bank account and all my money was gone. Credit One took a payment out for the entire balance, with an express payment (9.95) no less. Trying to get someone to help me was impossible. I called 4 times and got different people with different answers, which none were of any help. I finally just borrow the money to get me through and told them to just cancel the card, which they didn't. I had to call back again and have that done. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS CARD - THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND ACT LIKE YOU MADE A PAYMENT. Why would I clean out my bank account and give them all my money and my rent money. I see from other reviews they have done this to others. Beware!!!

I wish I would have read the reviews before signing up for a credit card with this company. I have a Capital One credit card and have had no issues for 3 years. I received a credit card application from Credit One Bank. I followed the process and was sent a card in the mail. I activated the card over a month ago, but NEVER used it. I received an email stating I needed to make a payment on my credit line. I log into my account and see I owe a balance of $101.54 for a card I have not used. As I am frantically going over my statement I see I was charged a 75$ annual fee for signing up for this thing and a 25$ late fee plus interest for not paying the annual fee just DAYS after getting it. Total scam. How do I close this account after I pay off (I was ripped off/robbed) this balance?

I had a Credit One card like everyone to help build my credit and because a lot of problems with this card which it can't be solve I close. First they said they would give me the money back of a fee they charged. They were supposed to give 15. They're so miserable that only gave me 7. Ok I let it slide because for me to get that fee back after it were their mistake. I had to speak with the manager who never wanted to talk in the phone and sent someone to tell me that's ok. I closed the account, went online, paid half, and one month other half. In the next month account was close. Can't used it.

Paid the entire balance two weeks after I received a bill in my house that I owe $2 of interest??? How do I owe if my account been close and I make sure I saw it was $0. Well ok I paid that because if I don't the charge almost $40 of late fee then collection and let me not forget to mention that they charge a fee right away. And ok I knew it but from $300 I ended up being able to only used $180. Try to figure why can't speak with no one. They barely speak English and as soon you call all they ask is what method of payment you using today to pay your balances. Bad customer service and high interest.

I had a fraudulent charge on my credit card. Called and spoke to offshore rep, they wouldn't remove immediately, pending a 7 to 10 day investigation. He was to block the card and send me another. 5 days later I call to check the status and nothing was done. They claimed there was a discrepancy with the call. Fraudulent charge went from pending to posted. Escalated to manager, senior manager, and finally was transferred to the corporate office in Las Vegas. Las Vegas rep was actually in Las Vegas and very helpful. This was after 50 minutes of being transferred, but nonetheless, very helpful. The representative in the corporate office was nice and polite and understood how frustrated I was.

If you are like me and pay off your credit card every month - you will still be charged interest here! Any transaction is subject to daily interest charges. We opened this to use at Costco only and I recently found out I was being charged interest even though I was paying it off right away! In a month I did not use it? I was charged an "annual fee" that is billed monthly (???) and the interest for that annual fee! DO NOT OPEN or CANCEL YOUR CURRENT CARD! Customer service was a joke. Couldn't explain it. My fiance' got a letter in the mail that said "pre approved" for 0% APR for 12 months on purchases and balance transfers with a credit limit up to $3000.00. So he went to the site and put in the "Approval code" and his SS like it asked. Then continued the short application. After that he had to wait a week or so to get the what we assumed was the credit limit approval. He only got $1000.00 but that's not a big deal. What pissed us off is that when he got the card there was NOTHING about 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers. In fact there was NOTHING about balance transferring at all! That's the reason we got the card. We wanted to transfer a balance and have the 0% APR for a year.

So he calls them up and stupid us we didn't keep the mail because we assumed since it said PRE APPROVED that's what it meant. The thing is after all this I remembered them from over a year ago doing the same thing to me! I didn't realize it was the same company until I heard him talking on the phone with them. Needless to say we closed our accounts right away and they still charged us a the annual fee which again wasn't mentioned that either of us remember. So we are now out $90.00 total. I THINK THEY ARE SCAMMERS!

This was my first credit card. I warn everyone, don't even use this company. Just build your credit with someone else. I have trying to check on my account for 3 days and I get a pop up that I temporarily don't have access to my account. I wonder why??? Probably because I am very close to paying them off. I have been making two or one substantial payments monthly. I set up to have a payment made a month ago and they took it and then threw it back in my bank account. I assume because I was paying way over my minimum pay where they really cannot charge interest much since I'm catching up to zero balance.

They are not even up to date on their website, Credit One does not allow you to do auto pay and it's hard to maneuver easily to where you want to go on the site. They want you to be late and get a penalty. Screw them, don't use them. Also, I been with them for four years and my credit amount really haven't raised to bottom. I now have Amex and Citi who have 10 times raised my credit limit. What's up with that. Screw Credit One. They get a zero.

We demanded our acct be closed and that no further cards be sent. They immediately sent another card! They opened another acct in my husband's name and transferred the fraudulent balance to the new acct. Two more billing cycles have passed, many long phone calls and a police report and Credit One will not close the acct. There continue to be charges from another state. They remove fees then re-add them months later in hopes you don't notice. I needed a replacement after my car burned up with my wallet. They wanted 25. I said, "Really? Going thru a hard time and still pick and pull for more money." I cancelled on the spot. Don't get this card. It's a horrible experience.

I have Chase and Capital One. Not once had an issue. Should have known better when they copied the look of Capital One. If you're going thru a tough time don't look into this company to help with financial needs. They will run you dry. Fees upon fees upon fees. Makes credit cards look horrible when companies like this take advantage. They will soon disappear. That day can't come soon enough. Hope they enjoyed my free money for using the card 1 time! When I retired I decided to go to cash only and pay in full. So I accept their card and use it as I see fit. Always paid 2 to 3 weeks before due. Within 1 month of the card my credit rating dropped to 625. I continued to be patient and use the VISA as needed. I received cards from Discover, American Express, American Express Gold, USAA VISA and a MasterCard. All unsecured and all with a credit rating of 740+. COB never offered a credit limit increase and still kept my credit report at 670. I finally cancelled that VISA card and they cannot understand why. Stay away from COB...

Credit One Bank is a predatory bank that accepts clients with poor credit or clients who are in the process of rebuilding. Their initial offer is a $300 credit limit with an immediate $100 fee, meaning your credit card only has a $200 limit until it is paid in full. I understand low credit limits, but $200? However, that isn't what bothers me about Credit One. They are factually dishonest and unethical. Read a few reviews concerning their online bill pay option. A large percentage of people cannot use this feature.

In fact, if you try to create an account on their website, you will be asked to re-enter your information again, and again, and again... It never works. Credit One is well aware of this issue, and it is planned dysfunction on their part. They know that if a client is unable to pay his or her bill online, then he or she will be forced to pay through the mail, as their phone systems are similarly problematic. Meanwhile, a client will be overwhelmed with late fees and other charges all because of their non-working website.

With that said, that isn't even the worst of it. Even a week or two before your minimum payment is due, you will receive nonstop, harassing phone calls every day from random numbers. They will "Never" leave a voice message, and if you block a number, they have a near-infinite collection of other numbers they can use to reach you. They will call at 5:00 AM, 11:30 PM, it doesn't matter. If you answer, you will be berated and spoken down to like a little kid being sent for a time out. It is humiliating.

I refuse to pay my $200 balance. Why? 1) It is "Impossible" to do so online. Clients cannot make an account, no matter what they try. It is purposefully dysfunctional. 2) The harassing phone calls never stop, and they are completely inappropriate. I'm not a criminal and these guys aren't parole officers. 3) They take advantage of the poor and only make things worse for them. If they were even slightly more honest about what they do, I would have no problem paying off my card. They simply won't admit that they force people to pay through the mail or over the phone, which is unsafe and risky, as Credit One will often "Lose" payments. Bottom line, even in a desperate situation, I would strongly reconsider their offer. Do you really want to sell your soul for $200? It's not worth it.

I just got the card last month April 2017 and I'm already having a problem with them. Let me first start off saying that I did get the card okay and paid the 75 dollar annual fee. I had a credit line of $300. I went to pay my bill online in the month of May which was $25 dollars, which I had no problem paying. Then it takes 5 days to post. Who waits 5 days to post payment when it is ACH. That sound fishy. So, I waited and it hit on the 5th day so, I was not going to use it all.

The next day my son get sick so I had to use some of it to get him some meds and when I get the register it declines. I get on the app and what the heck is the problem and my card says it is over the credit limit and in the negative 6 dollars. How is this when I just paid my bill a week ago. Another thing that sound fishy. So I call them up and they said that my payment has came back returned so I go to my bank and see what the heck is the problem and they said it went through and everything is fine on their end. So I ended up going to my bank and disputing the transaction since they claim it came back returned. Then I call them again and tell what is going on and they refund me my 25 dollars so I said okay.

I go out the next day to use it and my card declines twice and third time it approves it. The first 2 times it declined not sure why when, I had available credit on there. I call and they said that their systems was down. And to wait an hour. I go to the store an hour later and purchase my things. It was approved the third time. So I call them to see what the heck happened to my money and they said I used it all. I said "no I didn't" when my card declined twice. They claim that it was approved twice and declined only once. So this is the second time they stole my money. I was sitting here screaming and hollering at them because they stole money from me. So they told me it was Family Dollar's fault and not theirs. How is it Family Dollar's fault when their machine said declined.

So I get off the phone with them and go and check the app again. This time they took the last little bit that I had on the card. I'm not going to call because they will claim that they didn't do anything with my money. But I did call them and tell them to close my account and card. And not to send me a bill or anything because "you guys will not see any more money from me". And I will contact my lawyer. Everybody that they connect you with can't speak English. They are nothing but money hungry and they will get down on you.

I received a pre-approval letter from this company, thinking it was an affiliate with Capital One (similar logo, similar name, similar card design options etc...) so I went forward with the application. It wasn't until after I activated that I realized they market themselves closely to Capital One to lure people in. But since I let them hit my credit and got approved, I went ahead and activated.

My first red flag came a few days after activation. I had just made a purchase for gas, then attempted to make another purchase at a mall 15 minutes from where I live. The gas transaction went through with no problem, the mall transaction declined. I immediately call their CSR to see what was going on? Was there a stipulation I missed when I signed up? Why did the card decline?? These nuts proceed to tell me that because the purchase was from outside of my billing area, the card was placed on restriction? Huh?? I live in a HUGE metro area with hundreds of zip codes that change by the block. I explained to her that although I was still within the CITY LIMITS and had JUST made a gas purchase around the corner, I did not understand how I was being declined for being outside of my area. She responded that she fully understood and would take the restriction off, wait 15 minutes then try again.

Okay, so I browse around the department store 20 minutes, go back to the counter to try again, DECLINED!! What in the world?? So I try to call back, get a different rep who tells me that the restriction was never taken off... okay now I'm standing at the counter looking crazy so I go ahead and put the purchase on my bank card. After leaving the mall, I kept thinking about what just happened and how none of it made sense so I called the CSR number back and was told that their office hours were closed. Mon-Friday and Saturdays pacific time... another red flag.

So with using this card, I need to call their CSR anytime I am outside of my subdivision needing to make a purchase, and it has to be before 8 pm EST (or 5 PM PST) or I'm ** out of luck. God forbid I'm on the other side of town needing gas at 9 pm and the only source of available funds I have is my handy dandy Credit One card. I will be stranded!

I've had this for less than a month and am contemplating closing it out and just sticking with my bank card. But at my plight to rebuild credit, it seems that this will be my handy Netflix/Hulu subscription card that I will pay down monthly. This card will never leave the house with me, it's pointless to risk getting declined just because my billing area is 2 blocks away. SMH.

This company is nothing but a pain in the butt to get a credit card with! I have had a card in the past with them so I decided to open up a new account... worst mistake I ever made! I wait 10 days for my card to arrive, and when it comes there is a number to call to activate the card. Once I call to activate the card I am then told they will need a copy of my driver's license and a utility bill in order to verify my address and then my card could be activated. After going round and round trying with 3 different reps with the last rep yelling at me and not listening, I demanded to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor understood my frustration so he said, after I told him I was not putting sensitive documents into the U.S. Postal mail to go only God knows where. He gave me a fax number to fax him the documents and that my card would be activated.

I faxed the documents as he requested and then called back the next day to activate the card only to be told that there was a block on my account and I had to be transferred to an investigation unit. A woman comes on the phone pretending to be an investigator and asked me what my middle name was, how old I was, what my current address is, and what the name of my spouse is??? What the crap??? I told her I was divorced and had been for 16 years so what does my ex have to do with it???

After jumping through all the hoops I was told that my documents that I faxed to them had not been received and that it sometimes takes 24-48 hrs for them to get the documents and it could take another 3-5 days for them to analyze the documents before my card could be approved. At this point of the call I told her that this was supposed to be a credit card company not the FBI and that she could just close out my account that never opened and I would destroy the card they sent me. This card by the way only had a $400 limit but they way they are acting you would think they were giving me a $50,000 credit card limit. This is just plain retarded the way the are conducting so called 'business' especially considering I have been a past customer. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE DEALING WITH THIS company!! You are in for one major headache if you do!!

After answering some verification questions I was informed that I had to mail in a copy of my driver license, SSN and a utility bill to some PO Box in Las Vegas, I found that to be sketchy. I hang up the phone and spoke to someone else that told me my account was under review for fraud. I was transferred to a fraud specialist that asked me additional verification questions. Then told me that another specialist would call me in 24 to 48 hrs this time.

On the 2nd day, another guy called and gave me a fax number ** to fax my documents. Couple days later I called again to see how far they had gone with the process since I had faxed the paperwork as needed. Keep in mind I am now spending money to Uber myself to Kinko’s to make copies and fax them which cost $2.25 a page for long distance. I called a couple more days later getting different stories and finally a lady told me my card was activated and ready for use. I walked to a local store to test it out, got stuff worth $22 and card declined in front of my new girlfriend’s embarrassment. I went outside the store and called them again and this time I was told my card was still under review after the other lady had told me it was activated. I was furious and asked them to cancel it. At this time the fees are deducted $94 and I haven't even used the card. THIS CREDIT ONE BANK IS A NIGHTMARE.

When the second payment "bounced", they shut down my account with no notice. I paid the account 4 weeks later to a zero balance, with assurance that the money would be available at the beginning of the week. I called Monday when the card was rejected at the store and then they informed me they terminated my account, and that it would never be reactivated. So now I am left with no way to pay any bills. I'm glad I am done with this company. Everything you do has a fee. If you have a change balance on your account by the end of the day they take it, rounding it down to an even dollar amount. I make weekly payments on my account, and the funds are always available the next business day. The main thing that I don't like is that I'm charged 10 bucks whenever I make an "express payment". I find it annoying, but as someone who is rebuilding credit, I believe beggars can't be choosers. So if you are trying to rebuild credit I do recommend it.

Stated I can pay them $25 monthly, a rep with a very thick accent told me no and was very rude, talked extremely fast and stated I had to pay a certain amount. I got a call weeks later stating they were given permission to offer me a settlement which was less than half my balance. Yet stated I needed to again give my bank information. I refuse again. I said I can send a money order, the rep agreed and said since they get credit for payment I needed to put it to his attention. I agreed and borrowed the money.

A month later I received a statement with a higher balance due, when I called they said they never received any payment that the rep did not work there and there were no notes in the system where I was offered a settlement. Credit One sold my account to a collection agency with the same high balance with a different closing date... That constantly keep reappearing on my credit. I open this account in 2012. I had two credit cards with this atrocious bank. I also have 4 other credit cards. I got a loan and paid off all of my credit cards on 3/23/17. I had no problem with any of my cards with the exception of Credit One. They sent me two letters dated 4/4/17 stating that they wanted a letter from my bank certifying that the payments I made were actually from my bank account and were valid payments. The letter stated that I had been locked out of my accounts and that I had until 5/4/17 to supply this info or they would close my accounts and reported to credit agencies as "closed by credit grantor."

When I first called them on 4/19/17 they told me that this was their policy because the payments I had made were much larger than any previous payment. SO WHAT! However, I did as requested and mailed the letters certified mail on 4/21/17 and they were signed for as received on 4/24/17. I continued to be locked out of my account and called back on 5/3/17 and spoke to a supervisor named Eppy who told me that they had not received the letters. I informed her that I had the receipts from the post office showing that they had indeed received them. She then said that it takes 7-10 business days for paperwork to get thru their mailroom to the appropriate office and reviewed. I said fine and that I would call back in a few days.

Upon calling back on 5/10/17 and speaking to yet another supervisor named Sarah, I was again informed that they showed no receipt of my letters. I then told them that I would not be sending them again and that it wasn't my fault if they lost the letters and that they had better do as they had promised and unlock my accounts. She said she would try and get back to me within 24-48 hours. I told her that she had better do more than "try" and she then said she would get back to me. However, upon checking my credit report today on 5/11/17 I find that they have closed both my accounts. Unbelievable! Do not do any business with this bank under any circumstances. You will live to regret it, I promise you.

They took my 500$ payment (way above the min due) but had suspended my card, which I only found out by trying to use the card the next day. They refused to discuss it by phone, stating they sent a letter. A week later, letter comes asking for verification from my bank that the payments that had been made for 3 months were authorized to be made and bank statements. I sent requested info, bank statement from 2 accounts, actual letter from Chase banker confirming auth to make payments and guess what? Never heard back.

So, when I called, finally got an "investigator" who said they didn't have enough info and were not going to turn the card back on. They have all my account nums and personal info and employment info and verification. There is nothing else. So, of course I get an email. "Payment due, click here." And it won't let me access it to even pay off the 100 or so balance. And they reported the card "closed" by them which is a ding on credit report. For a card that was pd. early and consistently with higher than minimum due. What's that tell you? Scammers and phishers for sure, they get your personal and bank info, strong arm you to give up more and who knows how they're going to use it now. They are fake, beware!!!

Many people are bashing Credit One... BUT you need to deal with them with realistically. I've had horrible credit for 20 years, because of two divorces, but I make good money, and own a home that has considerable equity. I also have term, and whole life, insurance policies. This is a short term credit card for those establishing credit, or re-establishing credit. I always thought this was a company associated/parent company with Capital One. No! BUT my initial credit was $450, after I paid my "yearly card fee" of $45 after it was issued, and IN FULL - WHEN I ACTIVATED THE CARD, I got an increase of $150.

If you have bad credit, your options are limited. If you have dodgy, or questionable issues, such as past due child support, or cell phone bills, IRS, or other hassles, this is your card. It's a jumping stone to other cards, especially Discover. Just be aware. Secured cards are useless. It's fine for a year, but you have to move on quickly. Move on within a year. I applied to Discover and told them I had a $350 balance on my Credit One account, they lived it, gave me 18 months 0 APR, and a 2,000 credit limit. I refused, and had them lower it to $1,000. I have no use for high limits. I'm very debit card, and cash functional, but Discover, Amex, offer rewards to many of my day to day shopping. Only use Credit One as a stepping stone for a year, or two, tops. If you are not a fairly good credit risk, after a year, with on time payments, and at least half of your credit limit available, they will waive your yearly fee, but you will have to call them, and ask.

Maintained an account for several years because I am a dummy. High interest rates, high annual fee (charged monthly), and remarkably/intentionally, poor customer service. I closed the account today after making the decision that this card wasn't worth the trouble and certainly not worth a monthly $9 fee to keep it open. It took four different transfers to four different associates. The customer service people were unhelpful, refused to answer questions. And although I expressly asked for the account to be closed and requested confirmation, I am not sure that either will actually happen since the person I spoke to hung up on me while I was asking for email confirmation. They also tried to charge me around $8 to process a payment. The idea is to make the process as difficult as possible in hopes that you will give up.

These are obviously outsourced jobs (I talked to a woman with a strong enough accent named "Mitch"), and you can't blame the people for doing what they are told to do. But I strongly recommend you take your business elsewhere. If you do maintain an account with this crappy company, call them and negotiate interest rates, annual fees, other charges. They try to slip things by you (processing fees and what-not) that you really should not be paying for. Boooo Credit One.

That's all great for me who I currently have one credit card with my bank. Well everything goes smoothly. They send you your nice silver Credit One Credit card in the mail, step by step instructions on how to set up your online account and boom! You're in. Well I decide to put a couple of small purchases in the total amount of about $150 - no big deal. Well I decide to set it up which they have instructions and also which I've done with other company that bill me, to have an bill payments directly from my bank account. Sure enough I follow the steps, Credit One bank says everything's up to date. I start paying off that small purchase (2 payments a week apart). And think everything is going smoothly.

Fast Forward about 2 weeks when I try to log in to my Credit One account to look it over, and I can't log in. Hmmmm that's strange. Call the customer service hotline and I get someone who can barely speak English on the line (keep in mind I am myself a minority so we'll end that conversation there) and they tell me "due to payments not being met we close your account". I go on and ask how can that be. I put all my banking info in there and it told me I was good to go. Then the person tells me "well you need to go to your bank get a bank approval form and mail it to us." Keep in mind I work in a fast pace small business office and work from 630am-6pm Monday through Friday. I'm upset because now they want me to go take time out of my day that I don't have a lot of and do this for them with no warning.

Well in a rude way the customer service rep says "well you got warnings letters sent out to you". I said "ok when did you send those out" and the reply... "Yesterday"... Angry I said "so you sent out a warning via mail that you were closing my account yesterday which mail takes 3-5 days to get that. My account will be closing." After that the Service Rep didn't know how to respond and had to get their supervisor on the phone and I ask "Well can you just re-open my online account? I'll pay with my debit card or other credit card and we'll be all set." NOPE! I have to go to my bank to go get the Bank Approval form and mail to have my account reopened online to make any type of payment...

First of all company origin outside of the United States so therefore customer service is extremely unsupportive. Second. Hidden fee. Consumer would've not know about until after using the card because you do not have an online access immediately. As soon as you receive the card you want to get access to your account 2 to 3 weeks after signing up and that will not give you enough time to find out about them and good timing and that's done purposely from the company to set you up for failure and I will give you an example on that. There is a $75 annual fee will be deducted from your bank account immediately so if you cancel your the $75 annual fee +25% on the amount that you owe. And the list goes down. I will highly recommend not using the card until you have access to the online banking and to have a customer service another explain everything before using the card.

I wish I could give this no stars at all because I don't feel it deserves one, but I can't unfortunately. I currently have this credit card that I'm paying off. My credit limit is $400. Right now I still have $350 to pay off.

I haven't used the card for a long time and I kept going into the negative and it was like I wasn't even making a payment. I've only gotten $50 knocked off, which is crazy to me when my payments are $25 a month. I make them every month on time and I haven't used the card in so long. Not sure how that's happening and I feel like I'm being ripped off. I do know the interest is RIDICULOUS and it's like I'm barely making any payments. Last month's payment pretty much was pointless, considering that interest was $9 and then $10 for annual fee. And they keep asking me to increase my credit limit by $200 (even though $75 will be charged for whatever, membership I guess). I keep turning them down on it and they still keep pestering me with it. So annoying. The only way I'll ever get this card paid off is I pay it off in full, which I'll be doing soon and I'll never do anything with this company again. :)

Called them to complain, well they said they're all for people having good credit and if would prove to them this error they would remove it. LIES, I did just that and I disputed it through all 3 credit bureaus and of course these JERKS are just as bad.

TransUnion was the only one that corrected the late payment on my report and score went up to 740. Equifax and Experian refuses after 2 months of writing and calling everyone involved no change, in the meantime my score dropped over 50 points. Then right after TransUnion fixed the late payment they started reporting my account was closed by me, score dropped 62 points, now I'm battling this lie. WTF. I'm truly trying to keep my cool with these Jerks but it's hard very hard and refuse to give credit repair money for something I can do, so I reported it to the CFPB who then in return turned it over to the OCC. When I call and plead with Credit One to fix their mistakes, I'm told to put it in writing with proof. When I tell them I have several times, they then tell me they will fix it. It's now 5 months my credit report is still reporting the lies and no word from the OCC. This is truly frustrating.

When I called to activate my Credit One credit card I specifically asked the representative if there was an annual fee and was told that I qualified for $0.00 fee, and they also told me they would waive the $19.99 authorized user fee for the first year. With that said I used my credit card, my limit was $300.00 and I only used $265.00 for purchases. Then when I checked my balance I found that I was over my limit by $100.00.

I called and spoke with a supervisor and explained my situation and she refused to waive any of the fees that I was charged $19.99 authorized user fee and $80.00 annual fee. I told her I no longer wanted to have an authorized user and I never received a card for my husband but she still refused, and when I told her I was told by the representative that first helped me activate the card that I would not be charged an annual fee she said I was a liar. I told her my son has the exact same card with them and he wasn't charged an annual fee. She again called me a liar. Needless to say I'm going to pay off my account and close it and so is my son!!! This is how they scam you out of your money!!! Worst credit card company ever!!! They should be shut down!!!

Though I used to pay $9.99 for "express" payments, I now avoid this fee altogether by making two or three payments each month. Credit One has never offered a credit line increase despite a perfect payment record.

I closed my account in full. I made a payment online. Besides they charging me 25 dollars for paying online, they charge my bank account 9 dollars three times, two weeks after I had pay in full and closed the account. I got a bill for 12 dollars. Charge to the account the very next day I had closed it. When I called to ask about it and complain they told me it takes 24 hours for the system to renew the information. The 12 dollars are just because I had the credit card open. I'm not paying them a penny and I would like to know how to sue them for fraudulent charges.

Okay. So I thought I would wrote a review on making my 1st payment to Credit One bank. Since I read so many negative reviews about making payments I was very skeptical to apply for the card but I did and I got approved. So when my card came of course it had a $75.00 annual fee. My bill was due 5/15/2017. So I looked up what payment options I had available on credit one site and I was like this at 1st, "This is ridiculous.” So I decided to go to one of my local check cashing places (ACE Check Cashing). I asked them to run the card to see if I can make a cash payment through bill pay and to my surprise I could and the fee was on $3.95 and to my payment posted within 2 business days.

So going forward this will be my method of payment. I'm not waiting 5 days or paying that express pay fee. So my advice is if you are running close to your bill pay it at your local check cashing place. I also found out from Credit One if you pay it even a day before the due date and they get the payment 2 days later that still backdate the payment to the date of the recipient and you will not be charged any late fees. They said just keep your receipt until the payment post. But I was advised that when you do a money wire transfer as such it will always post within business days which is truly the quickest, easiest and fastest way to make your monthly payment. Hopes this helps everyone.

I called and they insisted they couldn't lower the rate. I threatened to pay off balance. They gave me payoff and I mailed check right in. They called and begged me to keep account open and they would credit last few months’ interest. I told them it was too late and to just close the account. They did and billed me a last month’s interest and continue to bill me late fees and now show a negative rating on my credit to an account they closed and said was paid in full.

I finally had enough and asked for the supervisor who spoke English a little better. When I asked her what the fee was for she informed me it was for the annual fee and service charge! When I informed her how can I have a service charge on a purchase on a card that I shredded 8 months ago she had no answer, I informed her that I'm paying the $8.26 right now and to close this account. She stated that "I saw that you paid and I will close the account right now." I have, unfortunately, been a customer of this bank for several years now. I have never made a late payment. I pay my bill on time, in excess of the minimum each month. In March I tried to make a payment, but the website demanded that I enter the amounts of deposits the company made to my checking account. After I tried to do just that -- and several times -- I was refused and blocked from making a payment! I gave up for the moment, planning to call the company. I was later hospitalized with pneumonia and out for two weeks.

Then the harassing calls began, night and day, on the weekends, and even at my place of employment. Each time I have attempted to make a payment over the phone, I'm given a runaround, asked for much, much more than is owed, or put on hold and disconnected. I talked to two individuals today when my initial call was disconnected. Something very suspicious is going on, and I am concerned. Not only does this experience smack of unprofessionalism on their part, it appears criminal. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CREDIT ONE.

I updated the banking information. Got a message from them, "Your banking information is now up to date." I obtained this credit card to rebuild my credit, but it has been the worst experience ever. To start, I used my checking account to make a one time payment, but in fact they withdrew the money a second time without my permission. When I called them to ask, "why this had happened" they stated I made the payment online, which was not true! They then proceeded to tell me that they were canceling the current card and would send me out a replacement.

After receiving the card within 10 days, I called to activate the card, and they informed that the card had already been activated! This prompts me to check my account on the mobile app, where I then see a balance of $477! I called to back to speak with a supervisor, and the CSR told me that they sent the payment back to my bank. There were no funds returned to my account and then to discover I then saw that they charged me a $25 late fee when my payment was made on time in full. The supervisor gets on the line to inform me that he is going to forward the issue to the billing dept. What a waste of time and energy to resolve something that is their mistake. Not only that, the supervisor tells me that the funds were not disbursed back to my checking account and he doesn't know what went wrong.

If you are reading this, PLEASE do not get a card with this company! They are full of it and no one speaks clear enough English for you to understand or them to comprehend your complaint/issue. To top it off, all this happened within a two month timeframe and I'm not even able to use my card now until they call me back within 72 hours. They wouldn't even provide me a contact number for the department that handles these escalations, so that I may follow up. Just Sad. :(

However I notice a balance of 1.49 due April 20th. So I called customer service and unfortunately got a CSR from the Philippines that hardly understood English. Explained to the Rep. that being that I paid off the account in full prior to the due date that I would not be assessed a finance charge. She argued with me and stated that I have to look at the payoff balance. That I am assessed a finance charge. Being that I takes up to five business days for the debit to clear.

Apparently she did not understand that my due date was on the 20th, and my payment was posted to the account on the 5th of the month. She states that I am still assessed a finance charge during the five business days. I said, "That is Illegal. You cannot charge finance charges when you pay off the account in full prior to the due date." So then she put me on hold and then came back five minutes later still arguing with me about it. And I told her that I am not paying the 1.49 finance charge and a late fee if I refuse to pay this. She then told me that I need to pay using express pay for the ridiculous fee of 9.00. I said, "You banks all you do is rip off people." So then she removed the finance charge.

Then 24 hours later I get several calls from Credit One stating that they are a supervisor and wanted to talk to me about the call I had. I did not speak to these supervisors I know because they are alias supervisors with fake names that cannot speak English. Credit One has already posted to my TransUnion Credit Bureau account, that I owe about 2 thousand dollars (the amount the "imposter" charged) and they have no solution to that issue? Will now go to the Federal Level, as nothing else works! Open an account with them at your peril. You will be regretting for a long time. Caution! Can cause hypertension!

This is in reference to a credit card through Credit One Bank. I am about to lose my mind over this and do not know what to do short of contacting an attorney. Every month I am charged a $31.00 late fee but I am not late. I call and I am placed on eternal hold, hung up on and have to speak to people who DO NOT speak English. I am also charged $5.88 fee for Credit Protection, I did not sign up for this and also call every month to have it removed. They are also charging me a (monthly) annual fee of $8.25. I did not agree to this and once again I have to call every month to have this corrected. Is this legal? Is there something I can do to stop this madness. I do not use this credit card and yet every month my balance goes up and I am making large monthly payments. Is there anyone out there that investigates this kind of fraud? Thanks.

Their practices are horribly deceptive, and they did numerous things to my account, including one time they put a $2.60 amount on my account AFTER I paid it off. When I called to close account and ask what the fee was for, I was told it was interest from my previous balance, that I paid off 2 weeks ago. The customer representative harassed me and gave me a terrible time about closing my account. After arguing with him for at least 15 minutes, he finally agreed to close my account. Then, he said I had to pay the $2.60 so he could close it as I was a risk. WHAT FOR A fraudulent charge that they put on my account, I'm the risk?? No. They operative deceptively and I'm sure they take advantage of many, many people. STAY AWAY FAR AWAY from their offers.

By 3/24, I had not received the card but had received a statement for the $75 annual fee. I spoke with a representative on 3/24 and was told she would zero out the balance, cancel the card and issue a new one. By 4/3, I had not received the SECOND card. I spoke with a representative AND a supervisor and was told 1) They cannot cancel a card and issue a new one (first rep lied? Hmmm, imagine that). 2) They would cancel the second card and issue a new one (thought you couldn't do that). 3) They will look at the account and call me back within 7-10 business days.

NONE of these reps were American and all were difficult to understand. ALL of them seemed not to care one bit that they are inefficient and in my opinion, fraudulent. ALL of them repeated the phrase "I am sorry for your inconvenience" multiple times but yet offered no solution to THEIR multiple errors. IF I ever receive the card, I will be cutting it immediately in half and sending it back to them along with a written letter stating my opinion of their business practices. Do NOT apply for this card! It is my belief that they are, in fact, a bogus company. After reading several other reviews, I am now grateful that the card never got here.

Over 2 years ago Credit One sent me an offer for a $500 card. Obviously, I had bad credit and was trying to rebuild anyway I could so I applied and voila approved for a Visa. I was ecstatic! Fast forward and my always paying more than the minimums ON TIME every month has raised my limit to $1800, some given, some accepted with a fee. They also sent me an additional card this year (MC) with an $850 limit that will go up over time, making my utilization and available credit ration even higher. I'll pay $25 for that all day!!!

When you have less than perfect credit, you get less than ideal terms. That's the way it is folks. These companies are taking a risk lending credit to people with blemishes on their record. And you expect them to not need to make their money? Imagine how many people default, of course there are fees. Look at ANY subprime lender and there WILL BE FEES. READ READ READ those terms people! They aren't there for you to just look at. Read and understand the CONTRACT you are signing. Some of these reviews are just laughable and make it painfully obvious on why your credit is poor.

Now, in regards to customer service, I have had a few instances where I needed to contact them, and thankfully the Indians I got were not too hard to understand and were not rude to me. So maybe, their frustration comes from having to deal with people who cannot read the terms they agreed to all day, or pay late, or have whatever other excuse for being financially irresponsible and not diligent and downright OCD about watching your accounts like a hawk to rebuild your profile. And yes, ** happens, and sometimes we lose a job or something happens, but this is a subprime bank (NOT BOFA, NOT Chase, NOT Capital One, or any other Tier one banking institution), they most likely are not going to "work" with you, and that's their choice as a lender and that's your problem for choosing them over a higher institution.

Nowhere in their terms that YOU agreed to does it say "we will work with you for payment arrangements if you incur financial hardship", and they do offer a credit protection plan if you are just generally unstable. And if it's that you couldn't get approved thanks to poor credit through a better bank, then maybe you should get a secured card instead until your situation improves. Just a thought. Also, I am a little worried for when the time comes to close the account, so TY to the poster with the Vegas number. Cheers!

I have had this cc with Credit One for four months now. I knew about all the fees and charges to initially get started with this card because I had read all the fine print. What I should have done was read all these reviews first. First two months went by fine and without issues. Although I didn't care for the express payment fee, I still paid bill thru it, usually way before due and over the amount due. Worked out fine, no problem, payment went thru by next day and had credit for it.

Here's the catch! Last two months my card and website access were suspended due to what THEY THOUGHT was fraudulent activity. They failed to call me and inform me of them doing this beforehand to verify whether or not it's my doing. As most other legit companies will do! 4 times in 2 months this has happened. Naturally I make phone call and usually it's resolved pretty quickly and I can pay bill. But last month this action by them caused me to be late on payment, thus starting the barrage of harassing phone calls and trying to talk to reps that only half ass speak English because the CS center is outside the US and most of them don't know a rats ass from hole in the ground let alone customer service. I will just pay balance off thru the mail and close the account and cut up card. I'm fed up with them. So everyone saying STAY AWAY! Is very good advice and is a very astute and accurate statement.

All these just days after I made my regular payment. At no time did they think this was suspicious. It's because Credit One has NO fraud protection unless you buy their plan. I had to research it all and email the two companies where the purchases were made. I was able to stop one purchase. The other one is still on my account 6 weeks later. This person changed my address, phone number, and email as well.

The impossible to understand man on the line tried to bully me into giving him all my new checking account info. He refused to give me the new account number so I can set up bill pay. "For security reasons". I guess the criminal wouldn't want me to have it.

He insisted he had no number for a fraud department. I said "Ok just give me the payment address and I will send a check." He said he did not have the address. He insisted since I had checks for my new account I could just give HIM the info to make a payment. I said "I don't feel comfortable giving it to you after all I've had to go through to change everything over. I will find the address and send a check." Sept. 2015 blocked out of my great standing account. Struggled for 2 months to be able to log in to pay on account. Ended up making payments via a 3rd party payer, due to the fact that calling credit company customer nonsupport yielded no help. After finally having the thrill of talking to an English speaking person, it was agreed that I had experienced fraud. At that point I was told there would be an investigation into the case. I paid my account 3rd party down to only a few dollars in the next few months. Supposedly someone had purchased car tires on my account that had triggered the fraud, tires that a UPS store in Loves Park IL. had called me in sept. 2015 for me to pick up. I live in central New York as I have for over 40 yrs., wouldn't order tires for pick up in IL... I had refused the tires as not mine.

Well time went by and no contact from anyone at Credit One bank. Noticed in January of this year 2017 that my credit score took a dive. After looking into the reason why, I realized the charge for the refused tires wasn't adjusted out, worse was that credit one had charged off my account and sent it to collections. I had not as mentioned heard from credit one in over a year thinking they were still investigating fraud. I called and spoke to someone in fraud again, she said that she had no record of me ever calling credit one on fraud and that I had to start over again.

So I sent info via fax as suggested and a few weeks later got a letter in the mail. Craziest letter I had ever received. They had the wrong account number listed on letter, named individuals on letter I had never heard of as on account, has me residing in several states from N.J. to Florida and back to where I have lived for the last 16 yrs. all at the same time. [I have lived my whole life in NY.] Also incorrect phone and e-mails that are/were supposed to be mine, I guess. So, I called again and spoke to someone and was told to send more documents via fax. Did so and heard nothing. Called again and was told that I would be hearing something by the end of the week, nothing... That was mid-February. Now near the end of march 2017 don't know what to do. In short, credit one bank is a disaster with no professional people that know how to satisfy or listen to what had always been an excellent customer. Beware all.

The problem is that if you ever have a check return, well, twice (full disclosure)... they block your online capability to access your account. So this means that unless you mail a payment in via snail mail, you have to call them or they call you after the due date 500 times a day from every state in the union... I'm exaggerating of course but geez!!! I seriously get 25+ calls a day!!! I would normally just take the call, make the payment and move on with life.

However EVERYONE you talk to at Credit One has that heavy, hard to understand, thick Indian accent and I have to be in a place that 1) I can focus and listen to them, 2) I have at least 10 min to talk because they obviously can't understand me either and 3) They repeat everything and thank me for my business 20 times before they will hang up... First off I would give them 0 stars if I could! I will begin with how disgusted I am with this company. They are the biggest scam I have ever heard of! Unreal, I was robbed of my purse and my whole life was in there in November of 2016 and all my credit cards and information was stolen. I was also hurt during the robbery and have a police report. They sent me out a replacement card very quickly but, my limit was reached so I have not used the card in months prior to the theft. And, I was faithfully making payments before this happened to me. Anyways, I have called explained my issues and have made several payments to them in the meantime.

TODAY they called about 25 times. I answer and explain to them again that if they continue to charge me fees and interest I will NEVER be able to pay them back. In the meantime since November they have SCREWED up taking my payment from my savings account at least 3 times, have not allowed me to make a payment the normal way I was before my life got knocked out of whack and here we are 140$ OVER my credit limit. WHY? What is going on with them? I have explained about 100 times now that I need help with these late fees etc. And, not once have they sent me to a department that can help me! I would love to pay the whole thing off and never use it again but, that is not possible in my current financial situation.

I would like to keep this card in case of emergencies and make the minimum until I can get caught back up. Capital One has been great with helping me and I currently am in good standing with my account with them. This company is supposed to help you rebuild your credit and it's putting me into a worse hole ever! I don't understand why they cannot just simply STOP the fees and remove the ones now from the last 4 months. I might still not be paid off but, I would continue paying them every month if the new card they sent me was usable!

It's insane how they get away with this! I am ready to start talking to attorneys if they don't try to straighten things out for me! If anyone knows of a class action suit against them I would be totally interested in suing at this point. Life situations happen and this place just does not care at all. Capital One at least works with you and can help you if you have an issue in paying. Please stay away from this company if you plan on actually rebuilding your credit!!

This credit card is a scam. One: you sign up to make online payments and you can't get in the system to pay your bill. Two: they immediately charge you a late fee and send a new bill. Three: you call and tell the supervisor you're having a problem with the sign and miraculously your username and password work! Then you try it again and whatever the supervisor did to get you in the system it no longer works. Is it a coincidence that you suddenly can't make online payments when you were able to do so in the beginning? I can't understand why Capital One, Discover, Bank of America accepts all your payment as many times as you want during the month.

This bank charges you a fee for an 'express' payment. They also charge you for a credit increase. If you don't take it they mail and email with the offer but your username and password 'can not be processed.' DO NOT GET THIS CARD. They make their money charging fees. Credit One does not have a convenient way for you to pay your bill like the rest of the banking world. Be prepared to write a check and mail it in the old fashioned way - way before the due date so you don't get charged 35.00 late fee or extra 10.00 for express so you won't have to pay the late fee.

Paid off balance is zero. Nobody get this card. Extra fees left and right. Try to make you pay to get a raise on your credit line. On my credit lines pretty much a 700. What a joke. This is the worst company ever!!! Not even worthy of 1 star. I only got this card to build my credit back up after my divorce and bankruptcy. I used it and paid it off every few months. I had it paid off, moved, and called to change my address. They didn't change it. They were charging me 6.50 each month and I didn't know it because I never received a statement then out of the blue they call and are very rude demanding their 19.00. I said I didn't know what they were talking about. I hadn't seen anything and my account was paid in full. They were extremely rude and said, "Don't you check your account every month?" I said, "No. It was paid off and I haven't used it!" I paid the 19.00 and they reported me to the Credit Bureau in 2015. I called and asked them to take it off they said no.

I should've closed my account then but I didn't. I called to close my account yesterday and they don't speak clear English. The man argued with me for a long time then he hung up on me. I checked online today and it's still open and charging me a monthly fee. Who do I go to next? I'm worried about my personal information. I think these people are not above board!

By far the WORST credit card company I have every experienced for handling a lost or stolen card. My daughter's wallet was stolen from her car and the scumbags charged everything they could before we could shut off the cards that were in it. Wells Fargo immediately reversed charges. Credit One Bank however refused to reverse charges until they received a signed affidavit which they never sent to me. The only thing I did get was a letter that stated Credit One Bank determined that the transactions were authorized and not fraudulent based on the fact that the purchases were made in your surrounding area. Well, NO ** SHIRLEY!! The thieves picked up the wallet and went shopping... Until the cards were shut down... DUH!

You can not talk to anyone in the fraud department unless they decide to call you back "in two business days" which usually doesn't happen until you call them a few more times. After calling customer service several times, they sent out the affidavit and also required an identity theft police report. Portland does not have any such report and it is a total waste of time anyway, especially for $340.00 worth of credit card fraud. The officer I spoke to chuckled when he heard that they were requiring this. It took almost three months to finally get them to reverse the charges with still no real conversation from anyone in the fraud department, only mail. So, steer clear of this credit card company. Credit One Bank obviously has no respect for their long time good standing customers. What a waste of time!

First of all, I failed to notice that the "Credit One Bank" logo was a direct copy (rip-off) of the "Capital One Bank". THAT was my mistake. In January of 2017, both credit card accounts were paid off in their entirety. Not one red cent was owed to this so-called 'bank'. In addition, neither card was used AT ALL since paying off the accounts. The trouble started when we received notification that we owed Credit One Bank $41 and change. REMEMBER... the account balances were ZERO, AND neither card had been used. This scam company attempted to charge us for "transactions" NONE WERE MADE, "late fees" LATE FEES WHEN NO PAYMENTS WERE DUE? and other miscellaneous charges that were not understandable.

I made 7-calls to the toll-free numbers; I was hung-up on 5-times and left on hold twice. It must be said at this point that ALL calls were answered by personnel in India and the Philippines. All with very thick accents and hardly understandable. NO AMERICANS are being employed by this company. Finally, I called a number for the 'bank' that was not the standard customer service number, and talked to a man (very thick foreign accent) who canceled the cards (Thank you!) but then proceeded to yell at ME! It was rather humorous to listen to this foreigner, who was obviously struggling to use what little English language skills he had, try to be dominant in the phone conversation! Ha! Ha! Ha! The bottom line is: CREDIT ONE BANK is a direct rip-off of the CAPITAL ONE BANK (just look at the logos)! Credit One Bank is infamously dishonest (tried to steal $41 from us) and their so-called customer service is anything but. STAY AWAY from these THIEVES!

The reps try to encourage customers to pay 10.95 for express payments, a way for the company to get over on the consumer. Recurring payments cannot be set up so every month I have to sign on to the account and I cannot access it. When I call they offer to take the payment for $10.95. There is no accurate way to keep track of the account, even with paper statements. I went back and saw where I had been billed late fees multiple times over the past year when payments were made on time. No one speaks English so you can't understand. I would not give this card even 1 star. At first things were fine. But then I guess I messed up 1 (supposedly 2) payments by accidently using wrong bank details for payment so just for that they closed the account. Which whatever I am fine with that. But I could not get on the account via web to see anything at all. I've spoken to them via phone a few times and they are stupid, rude and don't help. They want to say the account is closed yet when I paid the balance in full just now then they added "the charges will be posted to your account on so and so day." I'm like if the account doesn't exist how is it going to be posted?

A previous phone call they said the only way I can get my account back (not that I want it) they said I had to provide proof of my bank account. And I think they wanted proof of the US bank I had started the card with - which I had moved since then out of state. I told them repeatedly how can I show proof of an account I no longer have because I friggin moved? They couldn't answer. Other than that I asked my current bank today about a letter and if they have ever heard of such a thing and she was weirded out too by it, why need a letter proving you have an account? That makes no sense. As I told these idiots, as long as the bills being paid who the ** cares? I made one little accidental slip up on a payment... just so stupid.

Oh yeah you press 1 for English. You won't get anyone that speaks English! It's clearly run in Iraq or some nonsense like that! No wonder it's so **! Also today when I paid the balance they said it was 497 (could only go to 500) and it should of been like 46 or 470 since I had paid 39 in the last few weeks. They said I had a return charge from my mistake... I'm like why am I being charged now for that when that was at least 2 months ago? Cow couldn't answer me of course. I've had to scream at them each time I've called. I start off being nice but they are so freaking stupid you can't help but yell. In the end today the "woman" hung up on me after I paid the balance. I swear I better not have any issues come up with it down the road (since they claim its closed yet I don't believe it is) I don't want to have to sue the company itself!

So stay away from Credit One!!!! I also have Capital One and I haven't had an issue with them (knock on air). I have no idea if they are run by the Middle East too. I hope I don't have a problem with them either. But stay far away from Credit One. They are nothing but a headache! This is why Trump won! If I press 1 for freaking English we should get someone that actually speaks English!

I paid it off every month, and within 18 months was able to drastically improve my score and was approved for a card with fewer fees and a lower interest rate through Amex. Yes, it is a little pricey to use, but can help with the credit rebuilding process. I received many offers to increase my limit for around $25.00. Today when trying to make payment, website kept asking for bank acc. number then asked for amount that was recently put into bank account which my bank acc. did not show. So I called customer service to ask about. They said this was to verify bank acc., same one I had been using, so why do they need to put me through all that trouble.

After argument with them I decided to mail payment. Looked back at last months bank account to notice that Credit One deposited. 90 cent and .64 cents that withdrawn back out. I really don't like them being able to access my bank account without my permission, this only gives them a chance to clean out my bank account. What can I do to stop them and only mail payments? Credit One credit card charges large monthly fees even if you don't use it and if you get ill and miss a payment by a few days they will ruin your credit score. After having the card for years and never missing a payment, I got ill and missed a payment by accident, by a few days. Credit Karma notified me that Credit One ruined my credit and caused my score to drop more than 100 points. Talked with Customer Service manager to no avail, no empathy or help, told it will take 7 years to drop off this negative on my credit report.

Well, as I have read here I fall into a like or similar category. My wife ended up unemployed due to a medical emergency, and we were unable to pay all of our bills consistently, we were never offered any kind of assistance. Finally when we were able to pay, we made small, minimal payments for good faith until we could start paying the regular and plus more to get caught up. Made 5 payments in 2 months, and once we got our tax check from the previous year we made a large lump sum payment only to be informed our account is closed, and now in collections for the remaining balance, all within 2 days of making the large sum payment!

Was told to re-apply for another credit card?! And that they could continue to process our payment(s) over the phone now. Cannot hardly understand the person on the phone! Their website sucks, been locked out more times than I can count, having to pay extra to pay your bill?! I wish I would never heard of this company! If you're smart, you should steer clear of this so called financial institution.

When you call to get the fee reduced or waived customer service overseas will talk down to you and say you should have read the disclosures. I told them I would continue using the card if they would partially waive the fee which would be more beneficial to them since they will make more money on interest charges of 24%. Customer service says if you close account we still will collect on the $75 annual fee. Worst scam company ever. Praying for a small claims case.

I recently applied to Credit One Bank after receiving several pre-approval emails for the past few years & I decided to give them a try! I applied online and called the customer service department several times (whom are all located overseas) to obtain the status of my application. This morning when I called I was advised I was approved and would receive my card within 5-10 days!

As soon as I ended the call my intuition advised me to go online onto check the status of the application again which then said DECLINED!! I contacted the customer service department again and spoke with another rep whom advised the application was declined due to security freezes in place w/ the credit bureaus! I totally take full responsibility because usually I read company reviews prior to doing business which I failed to do this time!

Now a company has access to all of my personal information and also an inquiry on my credit report from a HORRIBLE company that carries a 1 star rating! I'm happy I was denied because being LIED TO says a lot about a company in general especially one that's based overseas!!! Take my advice and DO NOT DO BUSINESS with such a poorly rated company!

This company is a madhouse. When I originally signed up for their card, after receiving a letter that I was pre-approved for $x in credit with NO annual fee, I thought this might be a handy card to have. I received via email: Credit One Bank Approval Notification, then, Your Card is in the Mail, then, Activation Confirmation, and finally Welcome to Credit One Bank.

I had no immediate use or need for their card, and shortly thereafter got my first statement from them. Having not used the card, I opened the statement expecting to see a $0.00 balance, but instead found that Credit One Bank had charged a $75 annual membership fee, and that if I chose not to use the card and just make the minimum monthly payment, that I would pay a total of $78. To add insult to this, the amount of Credit extended was their lowest possible amount... $225! WHAT THE...!?

Credit One Bank's website states that the annual fee is between $0-$75, but the cardholder has no way of knowing what their fee will be until the first statement arrives. Needless to say, I immediately called Credit One Bank and told Ron (the CSR), then J.L. (the Supervisor), then Michael (another CSR) and finally Michelle (another Supervisor), that I wanted to cancel this card because of the surprise annual membership charges and that I had no intentions of paying $78 for $225 in extended credit.

I was assured by their staff (the above mentioned) that they would cancel the card and reflect no balance owed on the account. I asked for an email, as well as a letter via mail, confirming this, and was told that they have no ability of contacting me via email. I again reminded them that I was in fact getting emails from them, and that I found it frustrating that this information I requested could only be provided via postal service. Giving me no guarantee that... the card has been cancelled, nor that the account would show a zero balanced owed. I was told that it would take 7 to 10 business days for me to receive a letter from them stating the above narrative. I guess I will have to wait and see!

In the mean time, I will also be filing this complaint with the Better Business Bureau, as well as the FDIC, to make sure this company, Credit One Bank, is not using this tactic on less suspecting individuals, with these deceptive practices. Shame on Mamta Kapoor (Senior Vice President of Acquisition Marketing) and Sam Dommer (Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Business Development) the only two people listed as Key Executives of Credit One Bank!

It's a legal scam! I paid off the balance of $264.00, asked them to cancel and close my acct on 12/20/16. Then, in Feb. 2017, I get a past due bill of $39.47! (for what?) Called them which was a nightmare in itself. They said I owe the $39 + because it was a service fee PLUS an interest fee on the service charge! Seriously!! They count their own fees as a purchase and charge interest on it. Finally, I got a bank cashiers check, mailed it registered mail, overnight service along with a letter requesting they cancel my card and close my acct. I expect for more fees to be added for the 2 days it took to notify them and pay the balance... thus, my bill will continue on and on and on. I will be surprised if they accept my letter of cancellation with the payment as proof I no longer owe them anything. It's nearly impossible to cancel this card! I just want this card out of my life!

I was trying to rebuild my credit so even after all the negative reviews I thought - ok I'll try them. Actually ended up with 2 cards from them - set up online payments and paid more than the minimum every month always early. This past December I logged on, made payment. Realized about a week later it hadn't hit my bank account. Logged back in - they showed payment, then it was reversed. They charged a late fee. I thought ok - same bank account I have been paying out of for two years with no issue, maybe there was a glitch, I went into the "confirm account", re-entered the info and then again submitted a payment. This time when it hadn't hit my bank in three days I logged in again - it still showed the payment as having gone through. I waited 2 more days and checked again - now I can't even log into my account.

I immediately call customer service. "Steve" tells me, "Oh - your account is closed because the bank rejected your payment." I told him that wasn't possible, and he said, "Sure it is - you need to call them it has nothing to do with us. But your account is now closed because if a payment is rejected the account "automatically" closes." So I call my bank, and am told, "Nope - nobody tried to withdraw anything - call them back because they are lying to you. If they had tried they will have a "tracking number" they should provide to you that will tell why it was rejected." So, I call back. Talk to "Patty" this time, have to go through the WHOLE story again, she tells me, "Oh no the problem is that we couldn't verify your bank." WHAT??

I asked her how it was possible. I made payments online for two years out of the very bank account they now "could not verify". She literally said, "I don't know." Then she asked me for all the bank info again - put me on hold and then came back and said - "Oh, ok it is verified now." Then she said they would have a supervisor go through the account and get it re-opened, should take about three business days. I said, "Ok." I actually waited a week - 5 business days. No one had called. So again I call them. No idea what this one's name was - couldn't understand it. She pulled up the account and said, "Um your account is closed." Already knew that - so I went through the WHOLE story, again, and she said, "Um - I see some notes where you called in but no one has reviewed your account yet."

At that point I told her I didn't want anyone to review it - I was sick of all the lies and bs I had to go through - I told her just keep them closed and mail me the final statements so I can pay them in full and be done with them. Two weeks later, I have received ONE statement - I just had to call them to get the balance on the other one so I could pay it in full before they try to tack on some other bs. Also, they can't even mail out a statement properly but within a week had reported the accounts closed and with a balance and that the two accounts were past due to the credit bureaus. So, beware if you get involved with these shady people - if you have any issue they will not help you and in fact make it very difficult to get anything resolved. Terribly angry still.

I applied for this credit card to help me rebuild my credit after a divorce. I have never made a late payment. They have a high annual rate and a low credit balance. I just called to cancel the card and they tried every way they knew how to try to get me not to cancel the card. They told me that by canceling the card it would hurt my credit score even though I had a zero balance and never made a late payment. They told me that they would report it to all three credit agencies and it would be best not to cancel. He also told me that I had already paid my annual fee for the year and I wouldn't have to start paying another annual fee until September and something about using that money I was paying in annual fees to be able to buy more on the card and pay on it.

I told him that I wasn't interested in spending more on the card and that I just wanted to cancel the card and that I wanted confirmation sent to me that the card was canceled. He then told me that he would refund $49.00 back to my card that I could spend on whatever I wanted if I didn't cancel. I told him I didn't want a $49.00 refund, I wanted my card canceled and I wanted confirmation that it was canceled sent to me. He told me that he was canceling my card and that he was sending me the confirmation. I am not sure if they canceled the card or not because I have not gotten any confirmation. I am hoping that it is canceled because there is no way to cancel it yourself on the website. All I can imagine is the card is not canceled and annual fees start showing up that I have to pay because they refuse to cancel the card or they start reporting bad reportings on my credit report because I canceled and they are scam artist.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I've never dealt with a more incompetent company in my life. Gonna list out a few issues I've had.

You can barely understand what the representative is saying (I've never spoke with a rep who didn't have a heavy accent). Unfortunately, you will be speaking with these people often which brings me to my next issue... The card is constantly being blocked. When I call to have the block removed, they always say it was for suspicious activity. The suspicious activity is always a well-known merchant (for ex: Kroger).

When the card is blocked, you don't know until a transaction is denied during a purchase. You don't get a call, text, email or anything. If you log online to view the account to see what is going on, the card completely disappears from the account. This is not a glitch. It happens every time. We have two cards with them (which both show up online when we log on... the one that is blocked disappears until you call to have the block removed). When you call to have the block removed, the card stays gone from the account for hours after you call to have the block removed. You can't make payments, view transactions, or do anything online for that card until it shows back up. Which brings me to my next issue... payments.

You can only make 4 payments the account per 30 day period. I like to pay my cards off often. You have to be careful with Credit One because if you do more than one per week, you will be blocked from making another pay period until the 30 days from that first payment starts over. If you have someone that you allow to speak on your behalf, for ex authorized user, they're very limited on what they can do on your account. It doesn't matter how many permissions you are willing to give that person, you will still be required to verify the account on the phone if the card is blocked. They won't s/w the authorized person at all until they can verify your account with YOU. So, if you have a card and your adult daughter is an authorized user, and her card is blocked, YOU have to be the one to call in to fix it.

Mob style tactics to collect and overcharge fees and penalties. It all seemed like they were willing to help a disabled Vet with financial problems, I wasn't always in distress and hoped to recover my credit rating. There is no way to please these people, endless fees for paying on time, late, whatever, it's a scam to cheat good people out of their hard earned money. I was injured and almost died, and explained to the low-life (probably one of those people who live in the sewer in Las Vegas, and a business in Las Vegas). Anyway, what a sleazy operation! Like the mob, but I borrowed money from a loan shark once and he was more respectful and sympathetic than these foreigners. They have call you and demand you pay them now, with a credit card number.

Anyway, I told her that I had a brain injury and it would take some time to recover... She said I wouldn't get away with paying just because I had a "headache"!!! I had a serious skull fracture and concussion, and this ingrate is judging me because of a sleazy scam based loan shark business. I tried to pay what I could and they demand the minimum payment, then add fees, endless fees, and do not offer auto bill pay, why? Because they make a fortune from the penalties. I have been able to make arrangements with all my other creditors, except them, they don't want you to pay, they want you to be tied up with fees and penalties. I actually got to speak to someone with a brain and they sounded reasonable, but they probably got fired because they were sympathetic.

I even told them they were mobsters posing as a legitimate credit card company. They destroyed my credit and still demand payments even though I thought we were still in a negotiation mode. They make more from you if you are late, and don't pay, please God, don't get trapped like I did. I am afraid to answer the phone for the abuse that follows and they have some sort of phone scam that call from other parts of the country that trick you to answer. It always sounds like a barmaid that owes a tab and is working off her debt. I am currently supplying information to the authorities to expose this behavior. They call themselves Credit One, as if they are associated with Capital One, who is reasonable and eager to work with you. So I paid with another card but I called to see why I was declined. The first guy I spoke with Sam was a complete jerk that didn't assist me at all, he gave out false info by telling me that $300 was my limit on any purchase. I've made several purchases on my card totaling far more than $300, so that was a lie; which I told him. Then he kept saying he can process the transaction, and I had to keep telling him (A foreigner... Go figure.) that I didn't want it processed, I paid for it with another card! He had the worst attitude and when I asked for his name he said SAM. I asked for a last name. He told me he didn't have one and asked if there was anything else I needed as if I was the rude, surly one. So yes, I hung up on him - but whatever.

I called back to see if I could file a complaint and I spoke with a supervisor by the name of PETER who apologized but could care less about it. So basically I couldn't file a complaint, and he didn't give me a reason as to why I couldn't file one. He asked if there was anything else he could help me with, but didn't help with the one thing I called about. Therefore I turned here. I've never had a problem with my card or account; it's not until you call customer service for "assistance" that you run into a bunch of problems. But I will definitely be closing this account and I do not recommend to anyone. I would fully support a class action lawsuit if one was to come about. This company is a joke.

I have disputed fees and they have taken care of them. Most recent, I had fraud on my account. They closed the one card and sent me a new one. Then, as all credit cards do, they requested an affidavit and a police report. They took care of the issue with no problem. I reported the issue to them in Dec. They sent me a letter stating they were looking into the problem and asking me to fill out the forms. This was all handled by the end of Dec. End of January, I received a letter back stating they have taken care of everything- but also asking to contact one place I agreed I was responsible for the charges at because they had issued them a refund. Don't use the credit card company!!! SCAMMER, should not be allowed to continue business. They will charge you a "annual" fee that is billed monthly, will charge you a $28.99 late fee on their own monthly fees plus interest, then places a delinquency on your credit report and refuse to take it off. They don't not offer a autopay service, because they want you to be late. When you call to cancel they will not let you until your balance is cleared that takes several days. STAY AWAY. This company needs to be investigated by the FTC.

I have explained over and over with this company that I was unemployed and as soon as I got a job, I will pay off the card. Why is it necessary for them to call from several different phone numbers in the same day. What I don't understand is through this, I have yet to receive a pin number that was requested twice in July. This place will be the first thing I pay off for sure...

I just got this card less than two weeks ago. When I saw the due date was set on the 2nd of the month, I went in to try and change it. It will not allow you to do that. I called. They said there is nothing they can do, they can change it, but it will take two billing cycles. I said "well that does not help me, I don't get paid till the 3rd." Of course no one speaks proper English, they are in some third world country. I said "fine, cancel the card." He said "fine, but you are still getting charged a late fee next month." This is how you want to treat a new customer. This company sucks in customer service.

Any credit card that puts any persons in debt in NY state before they even receive it is illegal. As first premier bank does the same thing tacks on a yearly fee of $79. Credit One tacked on a fee of $75 plus I see they are charging me $99 a yr to have this card. I am filing with NYS attorney general as he stopped first premier won a lawsuit and he will do the same with credit one. AVOID this, card at all cost. I paid on time and even before, my due date. This card is crap. They lie about raising your credit limit in 5 months. Never happens which is a good thing. I have maybe 40 to pay it off and I'm closing the account. It's not worth having such a low rate credit and paying a high usage fee of $99 a yr not including the 8 they add on monthly for even charging anything.

Cutting this card up once all my paperwork is filed with the NY state attorney general. If I can prevent one person from being taken by a knockoff, fraud bank that misleads you right of piggybacking off of capital one's name that in itself is illegal. I see I'm not the first to notice. After you get the card it's not capital one. I'm calling capital one to ask if they can do anything about this company piggybacking off their bank name.

So far my experience with this creditor has been unpleasant to say the least. In July of 2015 I tried to apply for a card with them and was taken through the ringer about verifying my info. They claim that everything has to be mailed to them in Las Vegas, but after mailing things to them they seem to get lost. So I gave up on them. About a week later I received a bill telling that I owe the annual fee. I called them and told them I got it and I shouldn't have to pay it because they never mailed me the card. She put me on hold for a good 5 minutes just to come back and tell me that they could not do anything about it other than to put in a claim to have it reversed.

They called me at least 7 times a day for over a month about it before they got it taken care of. Well this year in 2017 my credit is much better and I received another offer from them wanting me to give them another chance. I responded to the offer and was approved. My card arrived in the mail about a week later, so I called to activate it. The customer service rep was hard to understand. He told me that I had been notified by mail or email that they needed a copy of my driver license and a recent utility bill in my name in order for me to activate my card. I told him that I never received such notice and I wanted to know why they need it now after they have already mailed me the card? He had no answer other than shouting the address I needed to mail this stuff to. I still do not have any faith in this company.

Credit One Bank closed my account with absolutely no notice or communication. I lost my job and had defaulted for 90 days, but paid off my account in full, including all fees - and an additional fee to get the payment in as soon as I could. I received a confirmation of this, notifying me of when my available credit will become open again, which it never did. Finally called in to inquire about that, and that's when they told me my account had been closed and I am not eligible to reopen. However, my online account is still open and tells me everything is OK. Extremely shady - highly recommend avoiding this company.

I have had the worst experience with this company from the outset! Their customer service is based in Manila, Philippines and they are the most arrogant, unprofessional, and worst Customer Service reps around!!! I thought that I would beat the endless automated phone system by speaking with a Spanish speaking rep, but to my surprise their rep spoke Spanish worse than their English. I'm IRATE at the fact that they want to charge you $9.95 to do an express payment to pay your monthly payment. I was told that one of my payments did not go through and that I was charged a fee of $25.00 for a returned payment. I spoke with a supervisor and I was told that if I made a phone payment with him over the phone, I would have the fee waived. Boy was that a lie! I was charged the fee on 1/26/17 after the supervisor told me that he would waive the fee.

I feel that I'm being held hostage with my own bank account, since it takes more than a week for the funds to clear your account from your checking account - in order to avoid the $9.95 fee. I truly wished that I could have researched this card company before I accepted their offer. Shopper beware!! I finally got in touch with their corporate office after I insisted to speak with someone from the office of the President. The supervisor from the call center told me that she would contact them and that I would receive a phone call back from a supervisor in their corporate office in Las Vegas NV within 24-48 hours. After waiting for a week, I called and spoke to a supervisor again out of the Philippines and they finally transferred me to a supervisor in Las Vegas.

I am writing a letter to the President of this company and voicing my concerns about this company. Do not do business with this company. Do your research. I found it interesting that they are not listed in the Better Business Bureau website. I called yesterday and closed my account. Hopefully I won't have any issues with this card anymore!!!

Unlike the review: L. S. of Kansas City, MO on Jan. 24, 2017, regarding Credit One Bank, I experienced a positive response. I developed throat cancer over the years, which was diagnosed in Spring of 2014. I knew I would be out of work, and called all my credit cards to see how they could help me in maintaining my financial dignity. All three of them did, Discover, Capital One and Credit One. Credit One required that I sign up for credit protection, which cost me monthly; the other credit cards did not charge me at all. Credit One required that I be on the credit protection program for 30 days before the protection would become effective. The other credit cards placed me in immediate protection... Well 48 hours anyway.

Credit One held true to their part of the protection... I didn't make a single payment for 5 months, to any of my credit cards. Capital One and Discover were fine with this, as they placed me under a "medical hardship status" and lowered my interest for one year to an annual 3% (estimated) or something ridiculously low. Credit One did not lower my interest rate at all. My balance with them soon exceeded my limit while I was recovering from chemotherapy and radiation treatments at home. My balance with Credit One was around 80% of the limit before my procedures. At the end of the 5 months, I was around $300 above my limit, based on the annual memberships fee (paid monthly), the interest, AND the Credit Protection monthly fee. My other credit cards never bumped up more than around $30 in interest the entire 5 months.

The other credit cards, since then, have given me two limit increases, in the two and a half years since the treatments. Capital One and Discover, each, gave me two that were automatic - and free - increases in credit limits; Credit One wants $24.95 for an increase of only $150. I continue to ignore the offer. I will not BUY my credit increases. That's crazy!

While Credit One was my first revolving charge card - before the others - having the card/account was special for a couple years. But since I became a Discover cardholder and a Capital One cardholder, I am weening myself off the Credit One card "Need." It is still active, and is still costing me a fortune in annual fees... Above the interest, BUT having unused available credit on the card helps keep my credit score "up there." I am planning on closing the Credit One account soon, as my other cards become the ones which are paid down, and become the credit score winners. Credit One got me in the game, for rebuilding my credit score years ago, but I have graduated from their greed. I will still give them kudos for helping me three years ago, though, but a 30-day wait? What if I have an accident? Cancer procedures were predictable.

If giving a zero rating were possible, that's what I would've done. First, I tried to make a payment online and it wouldn't take my payment information. When it did finally take the information and I tried to continue with the payment confirmation, the site kicked me out. I decided to call, the first representative (Philip. Beware of Philip) was extremely rude and hung up on me. The second (who wasn't much better) told me that you can not schedule payments online or over the phone, unless scheduling a payment to come out the same day. I will not be doing service with this company again and I would advise anyone else to stay away and find a reputable credit card service.

Write letters to your Attorney General explaining your experience so that this company can go out of business and stop scamming innocent people. This credit card will cause you to have MORE bad credit problems. BEWARE!!! DO NOT be so desperate to accept this card. Get a secured card and then get a reputable builder credit card with Capital One or someone similar. (Not First Premier, Credit One, Indigo or any similar type of cards for bad credit.)

I made the mistake of accepting this card around Christmas of 2016. My first bill was due January 20. I'd read online that Credit One plays around with people's credit card payments so I logged onto my account to pay my bill one week in advance to make sure my payment posted on time. I entered the same checking account information that I use successfully for all of my credit cards and utility bills for the past 18 years (and I've NEVER had a problem) - HOWEVER, I logged on one week later to check to make sure the payment posted and it indicated the payment was returned? WHAT????! I was so furious as the funds had been sitting in my account a whole week.

I called (and this would be the first of TEN phone calls I placed within a week), and was connected to someone who couldn't speak good English. I asked for a supervisor. Was just as bad as the first representative and then I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was polite and apologetic and took my checking account information over the phone and waived the $9.95 fee. She repeated the bank account information to me 3 times and it was correct. HOWEVER, one week later, I checked my account AGAIN to find the payment was returned. I called again, same drill as above (each time holding about 45 minutes). I finally reached a "manager" and she waived the second of two late fees I had received through no fault of my own and took my payment as a debit card over the phone and waived the $9.95 fee.

This payment went through just fine, because again, the funds had been in my account for two weeks. However, I told her I wanted to close my account because of the poor customer service, long hold times, and the issues with my payment not posting so I would be FORCED to pay late fees and processing fees, and she tells me that the account was closed for my payment not going through twice and I would need to send in a bank verification letter. WHAT? I had never heard of such a thing. It wasn't my fault and now I have to go and get a letter?

This company is a scam, scam, scam and I really hope that each person reading this will not take this card to avoid stress, frustration, anger, and dings on your credit score and report. ALSO, write letters to the Attorney General's Office so that they can be investigated for scamming innocent people. If you take this card you will regret it. You have been warned.

This is the worst credit card company I have ever had. There are a lot of charges on my statement I did not do. I call August of 2016 to dispute and I was under the impression the dispute was being work on. Come to find out, I am still dealing with these dispute charges since August and we are now at the end of January 2017 and I am still dealing with this one again today.

They are going to work on the disputed charges, while I have a letter at hand saying they have already initiated an investigation and determined that the transactions were authorized and not fraudulent. They lie constantly! They charge annual fee of $8.25 on a monthly basis which adds up to $99 a year. They refuse to close the account. I am hoping a class act is file soon on this company. Also, can understand what they are saying as if they were from one of those county that are scheming people in the USA. Due to this accident I received broken bones in my arm and was unable to work for a period of time. I advised customer service of my situation and not once was I advised to contact the consumer department that handles hardships until after I paid the card off in full. They immediately closed my account first and then advised me to contact that department a month later.

I no longer have an account for them to assist me with and I feel ripped off because if I was told to contact that department when I was going through my hardship, I could have been helped and possibly still had a credit card with them. Instead I'm out of about $2200 and no credit card with them. By the way I was not delinquent for a long period of time and before my accident I usually paid over the amount that was due and in advance. Credit One you have now lost a valued good customer.

I accepted the card offer and which every month I have had a horrible experience paying my bill. They charge you 9.95 for express 24 payment but it never posts then you're told to pay on website to avoid the fee but both standard and express still post 5 days later. You pay express and if you pay 500.00 only 100.00 will post in 24 hours. The rest in 5 days. That is not an express payment. They stopped a payment by their mistake, put it on my credit report then I had to get my bank to fax a letter telling them it was not a fraudulent payment. The money was always there but it still took them 14 days for someone to read the text, another 7 to verify the letter with the manager of the bank faxed himself then another week to reactivate the card. I would have just let it go but I just started rebuilding my credit.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE company and customer service. Besides you can barely understand what's being said because nobody speaks clear english. On top on I called to stop a recurring payment they said, "Oh we can't stop payment, you have to write a letter no fax to send it to mail it and then someone will read it." I asked but what if they keep charging my card? I was told, "Oh it'll get fixed within 1 to 2 months." Going to pay them off and just let the card go in non activate.
