I was unable to get them to understand a payment was missing. Kept telling me about all the charges on account but not the payment. Tried to cancel card, kept transferring me to different people who kept offering me other options. Very frustrating. I also had a very hard time understanding them. Support done out of the country.

So this company is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. So in June I was going to make my payment but I had noticed that there was some charges that I had not done. So I called them right away and told them that I did not do these charges. They told me that they would deactivate the card and they would issue me a new one as well as the investigation team would work on it to find out what happened.

So about a month goes by and I never receive my replacement card and I also try to login to my online account to make a payment and it is locked. I called them to let them know that I never received the card and to find out what the status is on the investigation and find out why I can't I login to my account. I get told that they are sending me a new card (again) and the investigation is still underway. Then they tell me that I do not need to make a payment because my account is under investigation and that they will contact me. I asked if this will effect my credit report because I am trying to build it up to buy a home, they said no and not to worry that it will not effect my credit. I asked when I can view my online account and they say with in 24-48 hours it will be unlocked. I try it about a week later and it's still locked.

Another month goes by and still the same thing... I have not received the new issued card and still have no way of getting into my locked online account and I never receive a phone call about the status of the investigation. And yet again, I call and its the same old song and dance, they say I do not need to make a payment because the account is in investigation still (by the way its been about 60 days by this time) and they will contact me with status updates, they said my online account will be unlocked with in 24-48 hours, and that they will send me a new card. Yea... none of that ever happened.

So I have called them one final time today and we are now at 90 days, they have now changed their story that account is still under investigation and that now it takes 90 days for the investigation to be complete. They said they account is still locked and they said that it would be unlocked with in 24-48 hours. Oh and I still never got my new issued card and they couldn't tell me when they sent it out. Then here was the real kicker, they said that my account was has an OVERDUE PAYMENT!!! And that I need to make the payment and my payment is late over 30 days and it has now been reflected on my credit report. WTF!!! This is literally the worst company I have dealt with. I had spoken with the manager and that got me no where after explaining the situation that has occurred over the past 3 months. Today I closed the account.

First, I've had issue with Credit One Bank regarding fraudulent charges on the account and their resolution was to reissue the card. They did not check if there were unauthorized charges with me. They credited items they assumed were fraudulent. Their customer service representatives are very inexperienced with answer the customer did not ask questions for. In May 2018, I notified Credit One Bank that I would be out of the country until July 2018 but my payments were scheduled. I am a Fraud Victim so carefully reviewed all my account for irregularities and unauthorized charges. I found my credit cards were replaced and other charges were added to the account. I was told I called June 19, 2018 to report my card had been stolen but I had my card in my possession.

Upon return home, I called July 27, 2018. Spoke with a representative that was very difficult to understand so I asked to speak a Supervisor about waiving the late fees. I scheduled the payments before leaving but checking did not reflect payments. My financial institution stated the Credit One Bank payments were canceled and funds withdrawn therefore my identity had been compromised. After getting another checking with different account and most of the funds deposited back into the account, I proceeded to pay my creditors. I have a very good payment history with my creditors therefore they waived late fees. On August 9, 2018, I logged into the Credit One Bank portal to check if payment posted.

I found that their system still considered my account past due but current snapshot of the account reflects due date as 08/26/18 for $57.00. Again the representative provided inaccurate information that did not make sense. John (rep) stated my account is past due $59.00 which totally confused me. How can the system show account current with payment due 08/26/18 and the rep show past due? Then I receive a credit monitoring alert telling me Credit One Bank reported an account with last 4 digits ** for past due 30 days. Credit One never issued a card to me with those last 4 digits therefore they've issued someone else a card in my name once more. Another issue I have with Credit One that although they closed my account without notification, why would they still charge me an annual fee for the closed account. At this point with all the issues with Credit One Bank, I will leave the accounts closed.

I have extensive experience with credit card companies. Credit One is the worst. Terms are horrible. Usurious interest rate, $75 annual fee, no grace period, interest posts daily once transaction posts. The website does not work well, cannot view transactions. My annual fee posted without notice, I could not view it in transactions, meanwhile interest is being charged daily. Phone contact info automated, site does not list number for live agent, I guessed and hit 0, got

a live person, she could not tell me what transaction accounted for the $78 balance, other than that it was a "bank charge," I assume it is the annual service charge, plus daily interest. If I can see the charge online in my balance, I ought to be able to see what it is for in transactions. This outfit is set up to ** the consumer. I will be canceling the account ASAP.

I asked them if there was another option that they can check my file. So, they said if I don't have my card info they needed my full social security number to look up my file. I refused to give my social over the phone. So they transferred me to some service line and the line was a disconnected number. I sent a complaint online to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The website is www.helpwithmybank.gov. I tried almost 20 times to pay my bill online but I could not, because I could never set up the account. Try to pay by phone and there is a charge of more than 9.00 dollars. This is a fraud, they also charge for late fee that has happened to me because I could not make the payment in term of this way every month. You have to pay an amount to pay by phone. And sending the payment by mail does not guarantee that they say they received it in time.

I've had this card several years, now starting in May I believe, I receive letter confirming an address change? Well, how could I get this at my "old" correct address if I changed it? Meantime, ooh yes there were charges being made on my account. Took 2 months to straighten this out and prove I am me, finally got access back, log on and make a payment (by the way they charged late fee even though they had me locked out) and the very same week I am again locked out! Called and told them to shut this account down, must mail me statement as I cannot log on online again. Nightmare and these guys are little to no help. Hard to understand, I don't think they see the gravity here either.

Even though it's going to hit my credit report to close this account, these guys are a risk not worth taking. On call I told them to close. They wanted me to send a letter taking full responsibility for account... um no Habib, how about you include statement going back to when problem started showing me I am responsible. Never Again with this one.

I don't know if I am at risk of someone possibly trying to commit fraud while submitting the application or it's this piss poor of a company website!!!! When I contacted customer service no one could tell me what was the issue even after submitting a ticket and waiting 7 business days to call back. The last rep told me I will only be able to get a credit card if I received a letter with a reference number. I'm upset because I know my credit is well over the min. acceptable credit score and a few colleagues recommended I apply with the company. My experience hasn't been pleasant or successful.

Why don't I like Credit One? Let me count the ways: 1. As soon as you're a second late for a payment, they start spamming you. I've gotten calls upwards of 10 times a day from different numbers that are all associated with these guys. That's incredibly predatory. They even call on weekends. 2. The APRs and rates are pretty terrible, but I expect that's something you know going into one of these cards.

    3. I went to pay my bill, which is due tomorrow, today. It won't let me and has randomly decided, after YEARS of continued use of the same bank account, that I need to "re-verify" my bank account. This will take 1-5 days. Which means For those 2-5 days I'm going to be getting 10 calls a day, because even when I answer and talk to someone, either no one reads the notes or no one is making notes to begin with. There's no customer service line to call with a person about this, there's no way to contact someone online. Just to recap: Credit One is physically preventing me from paying my bill on time and will harass me even though they are the ones preventing me from paying my own bill. How screwed up is that. Avoid at all costs, seriously.

And I said my wife can do the talking for me. They said ok and charge me a $19.00 fee. Well they shut me down again saying my bank info incorrect and I've made payments all month. Called them up and said the info was incorrect. I paid them some money and they charge me a fee again. Well they wouldn't let me in my account. They said I needed a bank statement from the bank showing I had a account there. There is really something fishy here. I need help with these crooks.

So having horrible credit I wanted to try and rebuild my credit so I got this card. You can check your credit in their app but don’t believe them because my real credit score was way lower than what they said it was. Also all the customer service reps are in India or some other country. High interest and fees and I’ve notice balance discrepancies of the tune of about 30$. When my card had charges that were fraudulent they not only cancelled my card but my whole account is suspended. I have not had this card long so we will see what’s next.

Received my card early 2017, made one transaction without issue then everything else after was declined - could not get a answer from the rude customer service reps who rush you off the phone so I gave up and cut up the card. Decided to try again and early July 2018 I requested a new card ($25 fee for that). Once I got my card I used it at a Shell gas station with a successful transaction but now everything is declined. Over the last 4 days I’ve spoken with 16 reps and 5 supervisors who all say they refreshed my card and in 15 min the card will be OK and that the decline was due too “unusual merchants” (Shell gas, Amazon, Target, ShopRite, McDonald’s). To me those are normal.

As of today the manager said she solved my issue and the card will be ok in 24 hours. However I don’t believe it will work. I believe they approve you for a card and charge you the $99 annual fee and high interest and allow 1 transaction to go through then decline the rest, making you call and request a new card (which cost $25). Then when you get a new card they approve 1 purchase then deny all the rest again. Stay far away from this company!!!

I've had this credit card since 2013 (trying to rebuild my credit after the 2007-2010 recession, I'm in the construction industry... nuf said :)) Sooooo, my lesser gripe is the high interest rate (but, pretty understandable if your credit rating is not so great). Here's the kicker though: that brutal "yearly" charge to have this card. You might be wondering why I put "yearly" in quotations. That's because it's a yearly charge... billed monthly. I've wanted to cancel this card for quite some time, now that my credit score is back to a somewhat normal range. But every time I pay off the balance, they charge $8.25 as soon as my payment posts... soooo, now you've got an open balance again and can't cancel.

Super irritating (not sure of the legality of this practice either). Very frustrating. Worse, when you call their "customer service", you can count on poor communication, and being transferred at least three times trying to get this done. And that's after you slog your way through the automated phone menu hawking every conceivable "add on" service imaginable. So, after being on hold, and wading through this process... I finally got through to someone (I think my frustration was pretty obvious by the time I talked to the head honcho) who could cancel the card (on the "upside", they refunded my last two "yearly fee" charges. At least that's what the customer service rep said they'd do... we'll see).

Horrible! I have been trying to rebuild my credit to purchase a home. Credit One Bank was a suggestion from one of the credit sites I frequent. I was approved for a $300 limit back in February and it’s been a nightmare ever since. The problem began in April. My Credit One account was hacked. Someone in Nevada changed the address on my account and then added themselves as an authorized user. Once they received a card, they paid it off using my debit card that was on file and then went to an ATM and stole all the money. I did not catch on to the fraud until I received a letter from Credit One wanting me to confirm an address change.

I called to report that I did not change my address (I live in MD) and that all my money on the card was gone. Credit One closed the old card, took the “authorized user” off and sent me a new card. I reported what happened to my bank and they issued me a new debit card (which they later charged me for). Credit One started a fraud case and my balance was zero (of course since MY money was used to pay off the card).

Fast forward to today. I rented a car this week and after receiving the final bill, I knew I would be over my Credit One limit. So I accessed my account this morning to pay on my account and to my shock, it stated I was over $288. I immediately called Credit One to have them tell me that the balance from the old card was transferred to my new card. I was also told to go to my bank and file a claim to prove that there was fraud.

At this point my patience with this company is at a negative ZERO! I (loudly) explained to the lady what happened and that I was NOT going to pay twice for something their company allowed. After some back and forth, she hung up on me. So I promptly called back. I immediately asked to speak to a supervisor, but the young lady wanted to know my issue. I explained once again what happened, she also tried to tell me it was a balance transfer, to file a claim with my bank and once they’re able to prove it was fraud the money will be taken off my account. I explained that it was not really fraud with my bank, the person received my account number through Credit One and stole the money off that card. She also stated she would transfer me to a supervisor but hung up on me. NOW I’M PASSED LIVID!

I called back for the third time and finally got a full understanding of horrible this company is and how they do not appreciate a diligent consumer. Once I got the third person I skipped all the pleasantries and got right to point. After having the associate suggest I took the money off my card; I suggested she review my account, again! She finally saw where my address was changed; an authorized user was added and wait for it...seeing where the person took my money in NEVADA. She no longer wanted my bank to do Credit One’s job. I realized they were hoping the fraud would be with my bank so that Credit One could get their money back or that I would be dumb enough to pay again. Now they’re going to do their job (supposedly) for the second time. I informed the associate that I will pay what’s owed and then will close this account.

If you get anything from this please be cautious when rebuilding your credit. Companies such as Credit One take advantage of those that are not able to get credit through well established creditors. Try Capital One secured credit card and or your bank secured credit card. Capital One gave me an increase within 6 months for having a good payment history. In addition, credit cards such as Credit One are viewed as “boutique “ cards. Essentially it’s like having a card from a clothing store. Cards like this are frowned upon during credit reporting. Creditors view having these cards as if you’re not able to obtain credit from an established bank. I just received this tidbit after getting cards like Credit One. Please do your homework before rebuilding your credit!

Well okay but I shouldnt have to download 4 browsers to make a payment.

Made my first online payment today on July 13th which they still charge you 3.99 to make a payment. But heres the real kicker, it's their website but it takes 3 days for them to process payment, another day to electronically transfer it, and then another day to post it to your account and the payment is made on their website Credit One Bank but the funds immediately come out of your account when you pay. So if you set up your online payment on the day it is due you are already late because you are not paying the express fee for it to post right away... WHAT A SCAM to automatically make you late. Luckily I made my payment 4 days early so it will post on the day it is due. Also look at your expected payment date online. It's already one day past the due date.

I am so pissed and this is a long story! Going back to October 2017 is when I first became their customer. I was making my payments on time and I only had a limit of $400. In May this year with no prior notice I get a notice from Credit One that my payment was declined due to stop payment. I NEVER STOPPED A PAYMENT AND MY BALANCE WAS ALMOST PAID OFF. When I called their customer service I could hardly understand the person with a really strong Indian accent and after the fifth time I repeated what went on and why I was calling the person unfortunately got cussed out until they put me through to a supervisor! Funny how they understood all the four letter words I was using!

The supervisor tells me that my bank stopped the payment. When I called my bank B Of A, they said Credit One had not even attempted to charge my card with my payment! Then I called Credit One back and called them on the game they were playing because I was almost done paying off my balance and then another supervisor told me they didn't have all the digits on my account number so when I was paying online the payments weren't going through! I screamed "Why did you all let this go on for so long!? Who was irresponsible? Me or you for not alerting me that you didn't have all my information before charging me with interest and penalties up to over $1,000! WHO THE ** DOES THAT!"

I continued to make payments until I tried to make a payment yesterday 7-11-2018 and the person I spoke to informed me that my account had been charged off and sold to someone they don't have the information for and as of 6-28-2018. Even after trying to rectify the situation, no notice was given to me and so as they tried to ** up my credit. I am doing everything I can to ** up their reputation! I am telling everyone I know not to be their customer! Also, stop sending our jobs overseas to people that can't understand or speak English! What the hell is wrong with you? Also, if you have an authorize user to the account, you pay an additional fee of $19.95 every year as well (which is ridiculous). The interest is also very high. If you need to build your credit. I would suggest keep the card for 1 year, charge on it and make EVERY payment on time. They offered me a credit card to help improve my credit. I accepted it. I used it for a few charges, paid the whole thing off the end of each month, then closed. Stopped using it months ago. Assuming I didn't have a monthly payment to pay, I logged into my account today to see that I owe them over $100 and even worse my credit score dropping because of nonpayment. It turns out that they charged me some hidden fee I wasn't aware of, then each month the fee accumulated with late penalty charges and interest. So these days, if you don't owe money, you still owe money and get your credit all screwed up??? What a scam! Companies like this are the reason 2008 financial crisis happened, if not regulated better, it will happen again and even much worse!

I got this card just as an easy way to finance a payment. Everything was fine for the first couple months, until my payment was due last night and I was unable to even access the "make a payment" screen. This morning, I was charged a late fee, which I expected. I was irritated, but figured it wasn't a big deal since I DID wait until the last day to pay the bill. My fault. This morning I went to make another payment, the payment did not process, and would not allow me to try to make that same payment again, so I called the customer service number that they advised me to contact. I wound up speaking with the most rude individual. She yelled at me, demanded I calm down, and spoke to me like a toddler. It was like she was reading off a script and wasn't even listening to the problem I was describing to her. She would not give me her name, but her attitude is the exact reason that I'm cancelling this card the minute I pay it off completely. Not worth it.

My credit was badly damaged in 2010. I got a credit card from Credit One to slowly rebuild my credit. I finally got my credit up to a decent score and I held on to this card because it hurts your credit score to close an account but Credit One has to go. I am charged $8.25 a month for an annual fee, I pay the card in full each month but they charge interest on the balance daily, I found a charge for $19.00 so I called Credit One to find out what it was they told me it was a membership fee.

When you pay online Credit One charges close to ten dollars if you want credited that day or no charge if you wait 5 days so if you're on a tight budget either pay the fee or a steep late fee (I never was late). So last month I paid my account in full (on time) this month I have $27.25 in fees. I have 3 other great credit cards now that don't cost me a dime as long as I pay in full every month. Next payment I will pay in full (as always) but I will be mailing a certified letter to close my account. Credit One did help me rebuild my credit but there is no rewards for being a good customer.

They'll be happy to give you a card and if you want to survive unscathed do what I did. These guys are experts in the shifty'Mc shafts so do not imagine it or use it as a credit card. Create a new email address specifically for this card. Don't use the card if you don't have the cash on hand, you'll need it to pay it off after a few days, after it registers on the website or the app. Only use it once a month. Only keep the card for 9 months. Read your termination instructions carefully and mail the letter certified. Make sure you indicate that you are terminating "our contract at your request". Do not let them talk you into keeping the card. Lie and tell them your bank gave you a $2000 credit card limit and you don't need two credit cards. Always enter your login and password fresh, no saved data fields. Don't bother calling for anything but a credit increase after 4 months.

Do not consider any payment completed, they'll add an extra couple bucks for interest, just pay it if it appears after a zero balance report from the app or website, so watch for it. Do not block the emails reporting your closed account at a zero balance with zero available credit, verify it says zero and delete it. On the 8th month go to Capital One and get the secured card and keep it, they'll have you in two Quicksilvers MC & Visa in 11 months then go get your Discover card. Credit Sesame reports any credit activity before TransUnion, Experian etc. Pay no attention to Credit Sesame recommended cards. Credit Karma is always the last to know anything. Take no loans from any app, go to your bank and ask for a credit builder CD if you want to build your score faster. Good Luck!

I would think that if a company has a website, they would have the technical support to work with it. I called, talked with the representative on what was going on, asked to speak with the technical support department as my website had been working 7 days prior. "We do not have a technical support department, we troubleshoot the problem here." Very interesting when a problem arises and they only have 1 department. Don't get as the support is not worth the runaround...

I have had this credit card for about 10 years. I pod the card off about 2 years ago and just use it for small things which I can pay off monthly or within 2 months. I attempted to pay my bill online for over two weeks. Their new authentication does not work. It will not allow you to go past the security questions page. I also never received a statement from them, but knew I had used the card and wanted to pay in full. They have been calling my home all weekend from different numbers. I was not home and a friend finally answered the phone.

They persisted in asking to speak with my spouse, since I was not available. I have no spouse. This is beyond being unprofessional and leads me to believe that the call is from out of the country. I called customer service this morning from work and was on the line around 35 minutes trying to rectify the issue. Horrible customer service. They took my payment over the phone, then sent me to another department to try and help me log on. In the meantime, I find all these horrible reviews that I never knew about on Consumer Affairs.

They kept trying to insinuate that it’s my fault. Uh, no. They could not tell me when the online issue would be fixed, but kept saying it’s nothing wrong. Their only suggestion was to download their app to make future payments. I asked does that mean the online website doesn’t work. All they would keep saying is, that it does work, but the could walk me through it. My advice is to stay away from Credit One, if you can. I’m lucky to have other and better credit cards. I understand everyone may not be able to and have to use them. I will keep it for emergencies, if needed. They are a fraudulent company and really should be sued and shut down.

I know my password. They simply make their website unavailable and then you are forced to pay an additional 9.98 for an express payment when in reality you should be able to just log in and pay. I am a cardholder with Credit One Bank, and will be brief. I have been with Credit One Bank for a couple of years at least. From the very beginning, paying my bill using the automated number was unsuccessful. The line would never pick up, just disconnect. If it actually did answer, disconnected at some point through the prompts. At this point, I installed the app in order to make online payments. This experience was not terrible, however a large amount of the time I was unable to view my statements. If I was able to actually retrieve an agent via telephone after LITERALLY WAITING FOR UP TO TWO HOURS, unfortunately I was unable to understand the agent/dialect issues. Resulting in yet again the inability to make payments. Currently, well LITERALLY for the past two months I have been unable to reach Credit One through all avenues resulting in now "late payments" confirmed with credit checks.

You may be asking yourself why I have not sent payments via postal service? Are you kidding? If I am unable to reach them via phone, email, and app no telling what could happen once they received it! I am a 5 star fan of the United States Postal Service, just no telling what may happen with Credit One! My quick theory... "payment not received ". In close, taking a risk with this company is infinite! The hours and frustration I personally have endured is phenomenal! Heck, I can't even make contact to close the accounts. However I have contacted the credit bureau and submitted a dispute in hopes that my credit score will not continue to be affected. Stay away from Credit One Bank!!! Thanks so much!!

I've made several call over the past month for assistance with making an online payment. They've added a new feature where you can process a payment for $9.95 or use their current method (online or mail). The online access has NOT worked since, it seems, the $9.95 fee became effective. Was told today that Credit One is updating their security and that is why their site was inaccessible. Was then offered to help reset my password. When I asked why, since the site was down, was told that it would be ANOTHER 48 hours before I could use the online option. Never got a response as to how that would work if the site was being upgraded.

This is the exact same thing I was told two weeks ago just before they slapped a $25 late fee on my account. I had to request paper statements just to be able to make payments. The only response I've gotten has been, "I'm really sorry for the inconvenience." When I asked to speak with someone in the United States, I was told that was not possible. When I dialed the in-state number listed for the company (702-269-1000) was put on hold and then disconnected. I have NEVER encountered this level of poor customer service. This is one unhappy cardholder.

I will make this as short and sweet as possible as it has been a 2 month nightmare! I've been with Credit One since 2015 and have great standing and zero issues until late March early April. It started with me getting a letter at home from Credit One dated 3/28/18 thanking me for changing my address to something in Florida. I live in SC and haven't moved. This was suspicious so I called them right away on 4/3/18. During that call (I won't even go into how awful the customer service has been and how many hours I've wasted with them since) they eventually updated my address back to my correct address.

HOWEVER, an important detail they failed to tell me on that call on 4/3/18 was that they mailed a NEW card to that WRONG address in FL on 3/26/18... Oh and of course they billed me $25 for a replacement card they sent to some criminal. Had they told me they sent the new card when I called to dispute the address change and cancelled the card THEN, the fraud would not have happened. So a few weeks later is when I finally realized that someone had made multiple cash withdrawals form MY card in Florida for about a week. Did I mention these cash advances ended up exceeding my credit limit by over $1,000?? How does Credit One even let that happen?!?

In addition to the advances, a cash advance fee of nearly $14 PER ADVANCE was charged to me! I have been dealing with this since early April and they have NOT wanted to help me. I filed a police report, spoke to multiple "supervisors" and requested they send me a fraud affidavit. They told me no they do not send those? THEY ARE REQUIRED TO! I was finally able to have them send me one. They have reported this FRAUDULENT balance that happens to now be over my limit to the credit bureaus and my score has dropped significantly! Many complaints about it to Credit One to at least advise the credit bureaus it was in dispute were useless and nothing has been done.

I could tell you so many other things they have done poorly in this situation that would make your head spin, but I'm so over talking about it over and over. The important thing I want to share is HOW TO GET IT RESOLVED. I promise if you have had this issue as I see many others have, Credit One will not resolve it and fix it unless they are forced! I submitted a complaint against them to the CFPB - they in turn forwarded the complaint to the OCC - the Federal agency that regulates banks. This is something Credit One does not want... Several complaints about this huge security breach launching questions from the OCC.

I got a response from Credit One this week "based on my complaint to the OCC" (not based on complaints I made directly with them). They do not admit any wrongdoing in the letter as it was worded carefully, HOWEVER, they did advise me the fraud investigation is now complete and they will be correcting my account balances and notifying the credit bureaus as well. Letter is dated last week and none of it has been fixed yet - online account (when it decides to actually work) still shows I'm over my credit limit! Granted, my new billing cycle starts in a few days so I will follow up at that time to make sure it is fixed. At least I have a letter from them in writing stating I am NOT responsible... even though I'm momentarily paying the price! Hopefully this well help someone else that is going through this! OCC IS YOUR FRIEND AND WILL HELP!

It started when every time I went online to pay my bill, my password wouldn't work so I would have to reset it all the time. I had a hard time getting access to my acct. all the time. It happened again last night. I finally got a hold of someone, that I couldn't understand, and he couldn't explain why this was happening but was probably "for security reasons" which was pretty funny since one of my cards had just been fraudulently charged $800.

Now my credit report is taking a hit for that and they have to "investigate" before they remove the charges which can take quite a while. Then when I went to reset my password, there was a problem and they were going to send me an email code, which I never got. He didn't have the right email or phone # so I never got it. I'm so fed up at this point I won't be using this card anymore. I don't know what has happened because it's just been recently that I started having problems and customer service is worthless.

Trying to get through to a customer service person was a landmine but I finally got through only to be told the date couldn't be changed. I had to mail the payment. Never experienced this with a card company. They want you to pay late... Will be closing this account asap.

I was told I was sent an email that stated that I needed to update my account a couple of weeks ago. I looked all through my email but it never was sent or it did not come to me. Are they trying to charge people extra for a payment over the phone, or tell you your payment is late if you send it in the mail? Something is up and it should be looked into. Imagine a customer service rep that cannot help you get back into your account over the phone. I figure he/she could have given me a code over the phone, or unblocked my account.

Now I cannot even get the charges taken care of. Been 30 days and told it will take up to 90. In the meantime my credit is taking a hit, my bill is higher and I have no emergency back up card. Went online to make (FIRST). Filled out all the information to make online account to pay bill (perhaps including social security number)... they couldn't go any further after suddenly realizing I didn't have the account number because I had never received (or opened) the actual credit card. Searched through the mail and found 'new' card. Went back to computer to furnish this LAST piece of information to login in to pay or set up payment online for this account. Before I could get back to the computer/website to enter account number... the Credit One Bank site (for payments) appears to have been REMOVED or TAKEN DOWN.

Now all they show is a site to login in with user ID and password... which I have not yet created... and it appears to be a website to accept their credit card "offers" only... which obviously that part has already been done. The (unexpected) BILL is here and... DUE. I did not remember this being part of the deal... offered as no fees, unsecured, low starting but able to increase limit over time with on-time payments... but, with a slightly higher interest rate. (I almost called first when bill first arrived... because the charge was unexpected and was this a 'mistake' and to tell them they should advertise this... as I almost didn't even open the first statement... as I had obviously not purchased anything yet without having an actual 'card'.)

Regardless the bill is/was due the next day. There is nowhere to pay... online... and now their website states/shows the company is NOT even accredited yet? WTH. Hopefully, when I call someone today they can take a payment over the phone... but, then they'll have my banking information... if not my social security number from trying to pay online earlier! (Yikes) And, if this company or financial institution is not on the up and up (as now showing not credited) hopefully it will be possible for my personal bank to be able to reverse the payment... IF... the company is 'no good'.

At this point I can't even tell if I'm paying a legit or scam company. (Just beautiful). The irony... people are out there attempting to rebuild their credit from whatever circumstance... fraud, financial reasons, etc. and consumers can't even successfully or smoothly pay their FIRST bill due. Where were these poor reviews by BBB a few weeks ago. BEFORE offer completed. SMDH. Thieves. Rinse and repeat.

When I called to report this fraudulent charge, I was told that I needed to verify my password. I never created a password. I activated it on the phone and it never asked for a password. When I said I didn't create a password, she asked me to verify my mother's maiden name which I did. She told me it was incorrect. I asked her how it was incorrect when that was my mother's maiden name.

I couldn't get any help because I didn't know this imaginary password that was automatically created for me (because I didn't create it, nor was given an option) and apparently my mother's maiden name is incorrect. When I kept saying I didn't know the password because I never created one, I was placed on hold for 25+ minutes to wait for a supervisor who asked if they had permission to remove the password option. I said yes, please remove it because I didn't know it. She said she removed it but when I called yet again about ANOTHER fraudulent charge, I ran into the same thing. Password and maiden name incorrect... It's ridiculous. I don't know who is creating these fake passwords and fake names but it's probably the same person stealing my credit card numbers from Credit One Bank!

I have a savings account and have been unsuccessful of getting them to understand that is the type of account it is. Only one time did I ever finally get through and I had to speak with 3 different people. Credit One Bank is literally the least ethical business I have ever had the misfortune to cross paths with. They are a predatory company that takes advantage of people who are trying to start their credit files and/or recover from a financial setback. Not only do they charge outrageous fees for EVERYTHING including attempting to pay your bill in a timely fashion, they own their own collection firms and will harass you at all hours of the day and night and the people they employ are barely able to speak English or Spanish. Do yourself a favor and use the fees you will pay this company to go to a reputable company and get a secured credit card.

Updated on [05/03/2018]: This company is wolf in sheep's clothing. No matter your situation STAY FAR AWAY from this brood of vipers. I opened an account with them in July 2014 and closed it in November 2014 after getting into a dispute over questionable charges on my account which I refused to pay. Their employees, and then the collection agencies they own began harassing me at work, on my cell phone, anywhere and everywhere at all hours. THEN to top it all off, after I finally just decided to bit the bullet and settle and pay so that I could get this off of my credit record, they reported late payments on six different occasions in 2017 further destroying my credit. I had to report them to the CFPB to gain assistance. Because of the excellent documentation I had, the CFBP has referred my complaint to the Office of Comptroller for their investigation. Do not... under any circumstances believe these gangsters will help your credit profile in way, shape or form.

This place is the absolute worst. They call you to tell you that there's been fraudulent activity on your account. Once it has been proven that there's been fraudulent activity on the account they put a fraud on your account. They tell you they're going to send you a card in 7 to 10 days. When you ask them if they could send you a paper to tell yes your account is under fraudulent activity investigation so that you can give that to the proper authorities to give to your banking institution and for your police report they say they can't do it.

Their policy is not to give out any information that it would take 60 to 90 days. After speaking with five different representatives three to whom Emily, Chris and Sam were out of the country and barely spoke any English we are unable to help me at all. Then to finally speak with Vin the fourth person who was able to help me a little more. He spoke English and actually cared. He stated he was in Las Vegas and unfortunately he was not able to send me an email stating that my account was under investigation or mail me a letter that he would get me a supervisor.

Now speaking to person number 5 in less than 24 hours is supervisor Ezra. By this point I am frustrated and crying as I'm leaving the bank because I've had to close my account and after speaking with an attorney and the sheriff office I'm explaining to Ezra that all I need is a piece of paper for the police report and for my bank to show them that hey my account is under investigation. He states that it's not their policy that he will try to get me out something by the 20th.

This is absolutely ridiculous. It should not take moving a mountain to get a piece of paper from a company when you're under a fraud investigation. When the company is the one who contacted you to say, "Hey. We see wrong activity. We're noticing fraud." Okay you're the one who put my account under the fraud activity. You should be willing to send me a piece of paper so that I can get this taken care of but no. This company is doing everything but that so run. Hide. Don't use them. I will never use them again neither were my family. We're cutting up our cards!!!

Stay away from this credit card company! High fees, bad customer service and so not worth the money lost! P.S. I think their call center is through India because none of them can clearly speak English. First, the fees are outrageous! I will admit, I had credit issues and was looking for a credit card to jump-start rebuilding my credit and they offered just that. However, I was overwhelmed with the hidden fees! There is a fee for EVERYTHING associated with this card. Want an increase? Pay $29.95. Want another person to have a card (such as spouse)? Pay $25. Express payment so your payment is applied to your account next business day? Pay $9.95. And the annual fee... when you first get the card, regardless of your credit limit, you are slammed with a $75 fee.

Understanding this is not clear when the account is opened. I thought it was going to be broken up into the monthly payment. That's not how it works. The fee for opening the account is $75 then you are charged $8.?? a month as the "annual fee". So... I had this card for 6 years and made almost every payment on time, except for last month. I was between jobs and went from getting paid monthly to bi-monthly plus moved from NC to TX. For the first time in 6 years, I missed a payment. The day after my payment date, my phone rang over 15 times from the same number. When I finally answered after leaving work, I discovered the phone calls were from this bank. Of course, you are greeted with the automated system about this is a call will be recorded and is to collect a debt... etc.

When I finally talked to someone, the first thing I complained about was the number of calls. Then he asked when I would be able to make a payment. I explained the situation and said, my next pay date is Mar 21. The CSR said he would look at my account to see what he could do to help me. He complimented me on keeping my account on time and that he was impressed with how I have handled my account over the years. I was transferred to a "specialist" who then said, "We can only allow up to the 18th". Apparently he did not hear me say that I did not get another paycheck until the 21st. After arguing about this, I finally hung up on him. I continued to get phone calls from them daily, never leaving a message. There were also times that I answered and they hung up on me. They claim to be working with you, but they are really trying to bully you into making a payment.

After this whole fiasco, I ended up cashing out some of my retirement to pay them off. So, I made the call to close the account. The CSR says he is sorry to hear that I want to close the account and then transferred me to a "specialist". Here we go with the bullying again! They asked why I wanted to close the account. I said, I have paid my debt and wish to have the account closed. Next I get this whole story about how keeping my card open will improve my credit score. I said the fees for this account are too high and I wish to close the account. Now the story is, I have done so well with my account that they are going to refund my "monthly fees" which will show the account to be "overpaid" and I will be able to use my card up to that amount. Again, I said that I would not be using the card and I wish to have the account closed.

At this point, I am angry and said, "This is exactly why I am closing this account. The one time I needed help, I was harassed by this company and I am tired of dealing with you." He goes back to telling me how I should keep the account open. I simply started responding with, "Please close my account." to every statement. Finally he got the point and rudely said, "Ma'am, you don't have to keep repeating yourself. The account is now closed." and then hung up on me. THANK YOU!!! Now I have the pleasure to shred this card!! I am still upset with myself for losing so much money to these people.

Credit One was great at first and captured the account, started investigation and reversed the charges. Then it happened again. And Again. And Again. Four replacement cards were sent to this person in Miami (I live in California).

It is now April 2018 and Credit One is unable to stop this activity. They have closed my account over and over and someone in Miami keeps opening it over and over with my social security number. Someone within Credit One must be taking part in this. I have called. I have closed accounts. I have even requested that they shut down my online/web account access. The person in Miami has been using the card like a regular consumer (paying it off and then using it). Credit One has the person's email, phone and payment mechanism, but has been unable or unwilling to stop this from happening. Every time I call, the customer service agents tell me that they cannot close my account until I pay off the balance that was incurred before December 2017 BUT they are unable to provide an accurate accounting since the Miami person paid the card to a zero balance several times between December 2017 and April 2018.

One of the male call reps told me to drink "cold water and calm down" when I called in early April to complain about yet another replacement card that they sent to Miami, FL even though I asked them to freeze the account several months earlier. It was my first time on my own and I racked up a lot of credit cards just to pay bills and I was desperate, so, I applied for this card. First encounter with them... I learned that you could change your payment date, so I did. I got a call about a week later saying that my first payment was missed. I apologized and said I'd make it as soon as I can. Realizing that I changed the payment date so I shouldn't have "missed" it, I called back and explained that. I got a very rude rep and he said that the change doesn't take effect til the next billing cycle. Well I had changed my payment date either online or through the automated system (can't remember which) and they said nothing about that.

So I told that to the rep and he became even more rude and said, "Yes it did." Being done arguing with this random rep, I proceeded to end the conversation. He then asked when I would be able to make a payment and I said I wasn't sure. He got even louder and said that I NEEDED to give him a date to put in his notes. That's when I finally got a backbone and got tired of him talking to me like I just insulted his mother.

Putting a little bit of a bite back in my voice, I said that I would make the payment when I was able to and I wasn't sure when that would be (because I was anticipating a later pay date) and the conversation ended. I don't need you blowing up my phone the day after a missed payment. And maybe you should teach some of your reps to control their attitudes because it was unwarranted and unwanted. Cannot wait to pay this card off and when I do, I'm going to tell them the same thing you tell a jerk that you don't want to have anything to do with anymore... To lose my number.

I always refused the credit limit increases due to the cost (typically $24.99 for a couple hundred extra dollars), however, I do remember once that they automatically increased it without my having to pay for it and they did not charge my account.

With that said, I would like to share my experience with canceling this CC. Simply put, don't worry about it drastically damaging your credit score. I was likely in a similar situation as many of you are now (i.e., damaged credit... No one else would extend me credit, etc.). Once I obtained the Credit One Bank CC and some time passed, my credit score incrementally increased. As a result, I was able to get some modest credit lines from AMEX, Discover, Capital One and Wells Fargo CC's. And I as well was fed up with paying the high annual fees because by this point, I was not using the Credit One Bank CC at all (only paying the annual fees so that I would not be reported as delinquent).

So one day I reviewed the Credit One Bank Account agreement details on how to begin the cancelation process and followed the instructions to the T. Credit One Bank promptly canceled my account, which I was able to verify simply by checking my credit reports. And guess what? Since I was able to obtain reasonable credit through other lenders and my score had began slowly increasing over time, I actually took a very small hit by having the Credit One Bank CC closed. I think it may have been less than a six point deduction. So, If you are able to obtain larger credit limits with other CC companies, it will help offset the loss of closing one CC with a small credit limit and high fees.

I know that you all will come across many negative reviews about Credit One Bank. But honestly, there is a reason you have bad credit. And if you have bad credit, lenders will view you as a high credit risk and you are less likely to receive favorable credit offers, if any. This is where Credit One Bank comes in. They extend credit (not much) to people who are considered a high credit risk. And you will have to pay for this convenience. The only other option is to borrow money from family or friends.

So my whole point here is that you if you are serious about rebuilding your credit, suck up your pride and pay the piper (i.e, the high CC fees) for a period of time while your credit is rebuilding itself. Not trying to be mean or inconsiderate here because I was right there with the rest of you for a while. Once enough time has passed, which is highly dependent on everyone's individual situation, close the account and move on with your life. Things will get better but you have to patient, diligent and extremely involved in correcting the issues that caused the decline in your credit to begin with. It will all take time and more money, but you can overcome this. Good luck on rebuilding your credit.

The reason I applied for this CC was because it was one of the only card I qualified for at the time and I needed credit in order to get my score back up. Credit One gave me a credit card but one with a low limit and at a huge cost. I had this CC for almost 2 years and it was a hallelujah day when I finally shredded it. Starting off they charged me an annual $75 fee. After one year the cost to own this card goes up to $99 or $8.25 per month. To get my score up I researched and read that I should not charge more than 30% of my limit. This meant I could not charge more than $180 per month on my Credit One CC.

After the $75 fee that meant I could not charge more than $105 or my credit would be negatively impacted. In today's standards $105 is one trip to the grocery store. To offset this after a year I applied for a credit card through another bank and was given a $6000 limit, $39 annual fee and cash back on all purchases. After dealing with Credit One for a year I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

When I used the Credit One CC I strived to pay off the balance every month and not once was I late on a payment. Meanwhile, over a year later Credit One finally raised my limit a whopping $250. Even with a zero balance I was still paying $8.25 fee per month. Around Christmas Credit One sent a out numerous scam type adverts stating if I cashed (charged) a $250 check they mailed out several times I could increase my credit limit by $250. This was the ultimate joke because $250 was above my 30% credit limit. Essentially Credit One was offering to help me lower my credit score. But by then I knew Credit One was run by a bunch of greedy individuals who prey on people such as myself who have had struggles in life and find themselves at the bottom with no better options. NO matter what they say they are here to make money at your expense.1

After almost 2 years I no longer used the Credit One card and was thoroughly enjoying cash back on with the better credit card. But I was still I paying $8.25 per month just to carry around the Credit One plastic. Finally I came to my senses and called CO to cancel. Even this proved difficult. I had to speak to 3 different people before being connected to the department that actually cancels accounts.

Speaking to the Credit One "account specialist" was what I imagine it was like talking to a member of the German Gestapo during WW2. I had to dig my heels in, stay insistent and keep saying "NO!". I heard "Oh, but we report to the 3 major credit reporting agencies". "Oh, but we can forfeit the $8.25 monthly fee X 3 months for you". Oh, but...." All the time I was saying NO NO NO! Once the account specialist knew she could not sell me on keeping the card the civil mask fell off and her demeanor changed to "How dare you and shame on me." Once I hung up with Ms Gestapo I went straight to the paper shredder and killed that card once and for all. A heavy weight immediately lifted and there was relief that it was in pieces and no longer a burden. I only wished I had done it a year sooner.

Another thing you must know if you want this card. Credit One touts they offer a credit score check with the card. They take the 3 credit reporting agencies, add the total and divide it out to get an "average". Even this is a joke because Credit One inflated my score, sometimes as much as 20 points beyond truth. I know this because I checked my score for real at all 3 agencies.

There is really nothing positive I can say about Credit One. I suppose CO serves one purpose, but they are much too greedy to make it worthwhile to use or keep. In dealing with CO there is an underlying element of greed and dishonesty. Hidden fees run amuck. If you are not careful when you pay the monthly bill online or you will be charged something like $9 bucks. If you need to bring your score up and this is the only card you can quality for then do so very cautiously, charge no more than 30% of your limit, pay down your balance each month and hopefully after 1-2 years you will have succeeded in raising your score enough to qualify for a much better option. This card is not one you want to go crazy with and charge your limit. If you do so this card will serve to lower your credit score, not raise it. Use responsibly and plan on only using only as long as it takes to qualify for another card with more perks.

I have had this card for eight years, I used it in the beginning, ($1000 credit line), but now I have a much higher credit score (721) and I don't need it. I have paid $8.25 for a $0 balance on this card for 6 years. My credit available on this card is $3275. Each time you raise your credit line, you pay a large fee to do so. I have never in my life added an authorized user to a credit card account. Today, I went in to pay my $8.25 fee and I noticed that there was an authorized user charge for $19.00. I called them immediately and someone had changed my address and ordered a new card to their address.

After really having to say, SOMEONE TRIED TO STEAL THIS ACCOUNT...they finally decided to send me a new card with a new account number FOR $25.00. In the past this credit card company didn't even have a customer service number, you had to email them. I am afraid to close it because it is an old line of credit and it may adversely affect my credit score. But I have a feeling this card is not secure and is an easy target for predators. Wouldn't recommend.

Today I get a call and when I call back I am over my limit. I was so upset because I knew exactly what I spent. I got customer service and was told my payment was due yesterday and a late fee was applied plus 75$ annual fee. I was horrified. Still am. I argued with the person who was rude and would not listen and will not close the account. I wish I had read all the reviews on this horrible company. It seems a scam. So, today, I look again, not only have the fraudulent charges on the first card not been resolved, but the scammers were able to open a NEW card in our name, again, charging all kinds of money on this new card. How is this okay? We don't live in FLA; haven't been to FLA, and these charges are all from FLA. I have called numerous times to cancel the card due to not being able to ever get ahead on this card. I was told I was not allowed to cancel my card until the full balance was paid off, and even when I offered to pay the full balance, I was told I could not cancel until after the payment posted, meaning they needed to charge me more money before canceling the card.

This bank is committing theft to everyone who holds a card with them. I will be taking civil action against this company by the end of the month. I am fed up with having to pay someone who can't even show me on my statements were my money is going. If I make a 40$ payment and I am only charged 15$ in fees and no other purchases were made, where is the remainder of my money? A few months ago I received a card from Credit One Bank. I was so happy they issued me a card. I started using it and making my payments. I made a payment last month for the minim. After I clicked to send I realized I sent a full payment. I call their customer service and try to get all straightened out. What a joke!!! The person has a thick accent and hard to understand. I ask for the return of my money minus the monthly amount I owe. Told I can't have any help with the matter. We go back and forth for 5 minutes. Then I am told if I wait later I can get a check back from Credit One. Then when he sees he can't help I am referred to another man with the same thick accent and we go round and round and then he hangs up on me. So I decide if they take the full payment I won't have any money for 3 weeks until payday. So I try one more time and I got the same treatment. I gave up and had my bank stop their payment.

Credit One Bank showed I was paid up. I wait a few days and then Credit One shows I owe again and need to make a payment. I make the payment online and a couple days later I want to make sure everything is okay. Credit One wouldn't let me in. I call that wonderful customer service (not). I am told Credit One suspected fraud because of what my bank did and closed the account. So I ask how to reinstate. Credit One wants verification from my bank signed by my bank and sent to the bank in Las Vegas. Then there are no guarantees they will reopen.

I tried to get the number or e-mail someone who has the authority to fix this situation. You can't get a hold of anybody with power in this wonderful company. Now I am upset they closed my account. But I even more upset with the company who has the worst the worst customer service. And I think the main people who have the power and big salary believe they don't need to worry about us. They should because we pay such high amounts of interest. Credit One is a joke of lending and the crappiest uncaring customer service. I didn't even want to give one star.

Common sense would say, 2 credit cards, 2 in full payments received. It's been a week since their mistake and I called several times to get the payment moved over correctly. I called today to cancel the card, same issue as everyone else on here with them not wanting to cancel card. Finally the supervisor after arguing with him for 23 minutes said he would close the card. Then I log on to pay the balance off which the due date for is not until March 13 and it tells me that I am not allowed to make a payment at this time as I have made four payments in a 30 day period, which I have not done.

Now, they are charging me interest on the balance which I am trying to pay off and they are refusing to accept payment. $52.12 of that balance was reported as a fraudulent charge on Feb 15 that they refuse to remove. Clearly illegal practices. Federally law states "Finance charges on outstanding credit card balances must now be computed based on purchases made in the current cycle rather than going back to the previous billing cycle to calculate interest charges. So-called two-cycle or double-cycle billing hurts consumers who pay off their balances, because they are hit with finance charges from the previous cycle even though they have paid the bill in full."

I called to close my account with Credit One on 1/26/18. I asked that they give me confirmation upon closure of my account with them...they refused. They said they don’t give out confirmation or reference numbers. I told him I needed something in writing but he kept putting me on hold a couple of times to come back with the same answer. It was a real waste of my time as I spent an hour arguing back and forth with him and telling him I know my rights as a consumer. The guy I was speaking to said his name was “Jeffrey” (hmmm...he was speaking really fast and it was hard to understand him as he sounded foreign without good English speaking skills). I asked him to slowly spell his name...he spelled it as I spelled it above. I am lost for words.

The day after I closed my account, a new cardholder agreement came up under my profile on their app. I took a screenshot of it. It said it was posted 1/30/18...but as my screenshot showed it was on there on 1/27/18 - 3 days before it said it was posted. The higher rate cardholder agreement was added to my account the day after I called them to close my account but it was posted 1/30/18...which wasn’t even that day as it was 3 days ahead. Also they added a yearly fee to my statement and post dated it the day before I closed my account. Sounds like foul play to me!!!

"No, we can't help you." And YES, we can charge you up the ass, take your money and treat you like **. Absolutely HATE this company. Hate the way they don't have a simple way to extract the statements to CSV. They don't shake hands with any of the software that manages money, like Quickbooks, or Quicken. I wouldn't be surprised if tattooed to each of their employees is "No, I don't help anyone and customer service is a country far far away, I've never been and never want to go." I got this card at a stressful point in my life, and thought it was another bank. I have had similar experiences to everyone else complaints. I had an annual fee that I knew nothing about. They started charging me monthly without my consent. They offered to increase my credit if I paid them $250 (to which I said "no!") and they just transferred me when I wanted to close my account. I told them I would get an attorney, and then they told me they couldn't close my account until they had a letter from the attorney. I got them to supposedly close it, but they said they wouldn't send me a letter confirming unless they had a letter from an attorney.

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and miraculously as soon as they got notice they sent me a letter stating that they had closed my account and that they were removing any late fees. I checked my credit report and it finally showed up as closed. Do not give up with this company. File a report with BBB. Let's not allow them to do this to other people.

Credit One incorrectly marked a charge as fraudulent on 12/9/17 and has not corrected the error causing a major issue with the merchant. On 11/20/17 I made a purchase for with a vendor using my Credit One credit card. The purchase went through fine. A few days later I realized that also on 11/20 there were 6 other charges made to my Credit One card that were fraudulent. I called Credit One and reported those charges. We discussed the valid purchase made that same day and I said that it was OK and did not report it as fraud.

It took Credit One over two weeks to do anything with these fraudulent charges which left a higher balance on my account, also charging me interest on them and reporting my balance as higher than it should have been, but then on 12/31/17 when Credit One finally did reverse the charges they not only reversed the 6 that I identified but also a 7th charge which was valid.

Reversing this valid charge caused the vendor to block my account. I have called in to the Credit One customer service and fraud departments (two different departments) over 10 times in the past 27 days trying to get them to reverse their error but they have done nothing. I wrote to the CEO of the company as well and am waiting to see if I hear from someone in his office. I heard back from someone within their fraud unit today (3rd time they have called in this 27-day span) and all she communicated was that the investigator is now trying to reach the vendor but cannot reach them on the phone and without reaching them on the phone the matter cannot be resolved unless it goes past 50 days.

This is the first time I have been told that an "investigator" was actually trying to do something about this so at least this is progress. Not really - just being facetious. So now I am being told that a corporation the size of Credit One Bank cannot reach a vendor - and they cannot do anything to resolve this issue that they caused with their error all the way back on 12/31/17. It is now January 25th, 2018 and they have done nothing. Supposedly this error will magically be resolved by them after the 50 days has passed. That deadline is Saturday, January 27th.

Do I actually expect them to resolve it at this time? Highly doubtful as they could have reinstated the charge at any time over the past month and they have failed to do so. All the while my rapport with this vendor and my inability to use what I have purchased from them continues to be blocked. Credit One has done nothing to resolve this. It is wrong. They caused the situation and have failed miserably in correcting it.

My sister in law saw a double payment on her account last year. She called them immediately to have one of the payments reversed, and the money returned to her checking account. Simple, right? Ahhh, no. The extra payment was reversed, and the money returned to her. In the meantime, THEY had reported a duplicate payment as fraud (yes, you read that right. A fraudulent PAYMENT). So they closed first account and issued new card, number account and all that.

Then comes today. They debited her Credit One account AGAIN for the returned extra payment. So they have a payment returned for $**, and charged her account for $**. Then today, they debited her Credit One account AGAIN for $**. She got through THREE levels of people, each one more belligerent than the last. Called back one last time to speak somebody above a manager. Got sick of the awful elevator music, and hung up. She told them to cancel her account and she will pay on it to be done with them. I hope she will be.

Now for a word of advice: when you call Credit One Bank and have an option for an oral interaction, keep repeating "customer service agent:" till you get one. If you get one who can't be understood (like most of them) specify one who speaks English as their native language. You WILL eventually get one. Do not be afraid to say some of these things to them: "listen to me", "please do not interrupt" and if all else fails say "STOP" very loudly. It seems to be the only thing some of their customer "service" agents understand. I have two accounts with Credit One bank, so I have had to do this. And currently we are "peacefully coexisting". It can be done. They need to be reminded that we are their lifeblood, and they need to service us, not the other way around.

I paid off my card every month, had them for two years. At the time I had no choice because of a bankruptcy and they took full advantage of that. So the fee was annoying but I needed a card to build my credit so I thought. Not only did they charge that fee, I figured out after researching further I learned they charge interest multiple times a month, they drag their feet on processing fraud charges to ensure they can charge interest on those amounts, they also charge fees on those charges as well. They take over 30 days, actually more like 90 days to put any fraud charges back on your card. I realized that when I was being charged 100's of dollars on my card even with paying them off every month.

Calling their customer service is a joke. You get to speak with someone named Dave or Ryan or Charlie from India, yeah those aren't their real names. They talk over you and said this like, "Listen lady I am trying to help you save your money." Which just infuriated me further considering how much they have been costing me over the two years I had them. When you get your bill without even making a charge they also charge you a $250 connect fee just to activate your card. Like I said they cost me probably well over a $1000 in fees and sneaky charges already. Find other ways to build your credit. This is not the way to go.

I had no idea that this credit card was for "high risk" borrowers or those without credit. I am a Canadian living in California and they sent me offer after offer to sign up, and I wanted my own independence from living off of my husband, so I took the bait. I also signed up for paperless billing right away. This company never emailed me a statement in the 3 months I was with them. Therefore, I never thought of them. However, they started calling me incessantly recently, and I took the latest call. They told me I owed $118.93. I told them I had never used the card before, and in a quizzical manner asked how I could possibly owe that. They said this was the activation fee and then subsequent late fees for not paying the activation fee, as well as a fee for the "pretty" design of the card I chose. I told them that they never informed me upon signing up that there were any such fees associated with opening an account.

They told me that I would find this information in the Contract (in other words, it's in the hard-to-find small print). I asked them to cancel my account after I paid the $118. Strangely enough, I can no longer sign into my online account even though I am just now (finally) receiving account notifications from them. Despite closing my account yesterday, I received a "View your January statement!" email, and about an hour later, a "You have a new document posted to your account!". However, I am locked out of their system. I do not trust this company- I feel that this is their way of subtly showing me that I am not officially closed. I feel I will run into more problems with them, so I called my bank (Chase) and had them cancel my debit card and send me a new one to prevent them from dinging my account further. Unbelievable that this company is still around. It's nothing but a scam.

When my husband mailed in his very first payment it came back to him with a sticker on it saying "This address does not exist". It was the address printed on the bill. So how could it be wrong? I called them and right off the bat I said "what's the deal here?". So the man I spoke to (which, no offense) I could hardly understand because of his strong accent. Said I can pay the bill on the phone for a fee. I immediately spoke up to him and said "why should I have to pay a fee when the bill went directly to you and you people sent it back?" So I didn't have to pay the fee. Guess I got lucky that day.

Two months later my husband didn't even get a bill at all. So I had him set up his account online to pay his bill every month. He went to pay his bill two days ago and the site is down! And still down as I write this. How do you not make sure your site is running properly?! Now he's concerned they'll charge a late fee and put it on his credit report. Which he's been trying to rebuild. Well, this morning we've been discussing transferring our balances to a better card which we were hanging on to for emergencies. Let's be honest, this card is designed to hook people with low to no credit histories. Bottom line. It's the same reason I was approved for this card so don't feel bad if it's the best you can do right now. However, this company is a giant scam. Their customer service is deplorable, their website often doesn't reflect current information (good luck calling them to try and have this corrected), the app... Well that's just a joke, oh and for the love of God. PLEASE check your balance even if you've paid off your card in full because they will try and trap you with late fees if you are not careful. Credit increases appear to cost you 10% of the credit line increase being offered (at least for me it seemed to average out that way). In short, if you are going to go with this card, make sure to monitor your account because they do NOT have your best interest at heart.

While I understand that credit card companies are there to make money, this company is amongst the scummiest of the lot and they will try to hold you hostage while you are building your credit. I would recommend staying away from this card and go with Capital One Platinum and Quicksilver instead (I got all three cards at the same time with a credit score that was in the 500s). While the Quicksilver still has an annual fee and the interest rates are still high on both cards, the company is much more pleasant to deal with, especially if you want the person on the other line to have something other than air between their ears. I've been with Credit One for over two years now and have never had a good interaction with them.

This month, I sent my $8.33 check out on the 11th, for a due date on the 23rd. They didn't cash it, and added a late fee. It may be plausible to be late if my check went out a couple days before the due date, but not 11 or 12 days. It is incredibly hard to get someone on the phone, and the customer service is terrible. I'm closing my account as soon as they remove the charges, as promised. This company is garbage, and they prey on people. Beware.

Credit One is an absolutely horrid company. I accepted their offer when I was younger, and I deeply regret it, because it's nearly impossible to close your account with them. You need a lawyer or another agency to ensure your card is closed by having both written and oral confirmation, multiple copies, all signed in triplicate. Google "how to close a credit one account" and see the horror stories for yourself. It takes several months to happen.

I tried to close my account with these scammers once before, and no dice. I was told I'd be charged extra fees to close, and I agreed, but they charged the extra fees to my account, which defaulted, which meant I couldn't close the account, then charged interest on top of that. So I thought I paid off and closed an account that turned around and charged me nearly $100 for absolutely no reason. I paid it off and tried to keep the card at $0, but I still get charged $8.95 EACH MONTH for simply HAVING the card. They call it a "maintenance fee." I also get bombarded with email offers asking if I want to increase my credit limit, for $11.95 extra.

And you know the worst part about this? They routinely take their website offline to "upgrade" it, which happens to be during the busiest shopping times of the year. I'm writing this on 12/22. Their website has been down for the past 3 days, when due dates for Christmas shopping is taking place, just so they can charge interest and late fees on the hundreds people spent during the holiday season. My bill is due on 12/25, but it typically takes "5-7 days" to process a payment with this garbage credit agency. OR you can spend $35 to "upgrade" your payment and have it process immediately. $35 is also incidentally the late fee amount. Only a complete and utter trash company would take their website down for days, then blame the consumer for it. I wish I had never done business with this scam company when I was younger. Avoid this garbage company at all costs.

When you pay your OWN BILL ON TIME you are charged $9.99 for each month that you pay your bill by phone. If you send it by mail they're apt to charge you also a $35.00 late fee. I sent my payment in to them by mail 10-12 days prior to payment being due. They're very slow to process your payment or they are probably stalling to get the extra $35.00. (My best guess)… They also CHARGE YOU $19.99 to add to your credit limit, & they keep trying to get me to accept a credit line increase. I won't add a credit increase due to their policies. They make their policies very unclear and then are very underhanded in explaining them - if they can explain them at all, I was able to tell the representative more about the user end of their website than he was able to understand. Example, it says you can change your due date as long as you are within 5 business days of your current due date. So, my due date was on the 5th, and on the 29th of the month before, I changed the due date to the 15th. A green check mark appeared in my online settings and said changed. No other information was displayed or emailed/texted to me (I'm on paperless settings, so I would not think I would receive anything postal mail).

I looked at my account yesterday, the 6th, and it still said the due date was the 5th, but nothing about a payment being due or past due. Then today, the 7th I got a text, "reminder, you have a past due balance on your card". I called, and they told me that the changed due date takes two billing cycles to change (nowhere on the website or card member agreement does it say that). Additionally, the reference to the "5 business days" indicates that you can move your due date 5 days before/after your current due date. But they automatically approved my 10 day request. At any rate, I talked to some guy and it sounded like he was in an open air market in downtown Bangladesh or something, SO LOUD in the background, which I am positive was thousands of other people calling to complain.

I have had a Credit One Visa for 2 years. I started with a 250 credit limit. I immediately up an online account which was challenging. Upon successfully completing the setup I linked my bank account. This was all in the first 2 days of being approved. I have been using and paying the bill online since approval and to date have had 1 issue with their site being down. I always pay early so this was not a problem, I was still able to pay by the due date. After about 4 months I received a modest Credit increase, then another in a few more months, and again several months later. At some point the yearly fee was changed to a monthly fee which almost made me late as I had a zero balance but was charged the monthly fee that I was unaware of.

I then accepted a Mastercard from them as well. It was easy to link to the online account already set up so all went smooth. They somehow added credit protection to this account without my knowledge which I still haven't been able to remove. That is more me not taking the time to sit and figure out how to remove it. I had one other card at the time a Capital One and a 570 credit score. In the 2 years since I have raised my score to 780 and now carry just over 40k of available credit. Yet Credit one still only gave me an increase to 1300. The only reason I still use Credit One is the effect of closing the 2nd and 3rd oldest recent accounts on my credit. I was thankful to even get a card at the time and it really helped me build my credit back up. Just be diligent about paying early and it could work for you also.

My husband had applied for this card about 2 years ago when we recently moved to a new state knowing we would need a few essentials before his first paycheck. I kept receipts as I do for everything for taxes, and my own records. I attempted several times to set up online account access as to make it easier, and even called their customer service line SEVERAL times to assist in this process, but to no avail. I gave up and chose to wait for my paper statement in the mail... NO SUCH LUCK THERE EITHER. I would pay weekly on the card for what my receipts said I charged. When my husband's job came close to ending, about 6 months after receiving the card, I called and updated the address to mother-in-laws back home. After that move, and one more a month later, we still had not received a bill.

In March of this year, my husband had received papers via the local sheriff's office. Credit One had served my husband in order to get fees from the card upwards of $1100. I contacted the agency handling the case and explained the situation and had asked for paper statements from their client. Within 3 days, much to my surprise I had received some of them. I then contacted the credit card company asking how they ensure that the statements were sent out for those who opted into paper statements like we had. I was informed they are computer generated and mailed, but not checked or verified to actually be sent out by a live person. I took a few days to go over the statements and contract they so willing sent of their own accord. In the contract it states that they’re obligated to ensure we the consumer can access our statements either electronically, or with paper billing.

(Upon the first billing cycle of not receiving a paper statement, they had broke their own contract.) I was able to account for what was spent and paid off on the card, highlighting and all made copies and wrote out a letter explaining we had no issues paying what we charged and showing them where we had attempted to pay even without receiving a bill. I sent it back through the courts and waited a few days. I then called to ensure they had received it, which it had been filed and that the judge was not accepting it. I then informed them that I have full financial power of attorney for my husband.

The courts were not changing the ruling. I decided to go back through the statements, in which the dates and the several addresses that were on them didn't match up. I called the attorney's back, and explained this and informed them that I had rental agreements as proof and still offered to settle out of court for double what we charged. Still no word back. Now today another sheriff served my father another set of papers with a court date in January 2018. I intend on getting a lawyer and fighting them. She ended up getting off the phone and not even two minutes later the same woman called back and kept telling her the same thing. When we got home I got my mom's mail from the day before which had the envelope in it and when we opened it, it showed her payment wasn't due for another 2 weeks.

I got one not long after that and every time I make a payment and don't use my card for the month then get back online the next month to make a payment I only had 3 or 4 dollars on my card even though I made a 25 dollar payment the month before and never used it. Once taxes come in this time we're paying the cards off and canceling them.

I rate Credit One Bank less than one star. They will scam you out of money and charge you a monthly and annual fee even if you never use the card. So in the long run it ended up hurting my credit score instead of helping it. I had no idea I had two separate accounts and had a late fee. So needless to say paid what I owed which was ridiculous and cancelled all accounts with this scam of a bank. You're better off not having any credit cards than having one with this outfit. Beware!

It is not good at all or transparent this card or bank. Listed several of its many deficiencies: 1- You are going to pay and they ask you for a charge to post your payments before or free and it takes 6 days... 2- For the increase of the credit they invent a rate of what they want... 3- Charge a charge of 60 usd for the mobile app and to top it off if they have annual payment and if something happens to you the payment in one day they burn the phone in calls. I do not recommend it at all, I give a star because there is no other, so it costs me what it costs me in my credit. I close it.

I spent the first 10 years of my career working for the credit card company MBNA America so I know credit card policy and customer service quite well. I can truly say this is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. The product is for high risk borrowers and is used as a starter or rebuilding card. They are fee happy and the APR’s are insane. I took a card at a promotion and it was a huge mistake. I have had the car for 4 years and not once have I ever been late or maxed out the credit limit. Well, this fall brought hurricane Irma to Florida and forced us into a temporary living situation for a month. We had to open a new banking account and this card and its $85 balance went 2 days past due. I called Credit One and let them know we would be paying it off as soon as the new account is set up (about a week). They said no problem and waived a late fee and said there was no payment due to November.

A week and 67 collection calls later I finally pick up just to hear the rep go into a script that ends with "may I have your debit card number". I told him the situation and it was like he didn't even listen. He asked for my debit card again. I asked for a manager and after a long verbal dispute I finally got a manager. Credit One outsources to Noida, India and having spent time there, I can tell you they are hiring minimally qualified script readers who struggle to comprehend conversation. Painful, frustrating conversations that go around in circles regardless if you are right or not. They will call you multiple times a day on every number you have provided. They use local area codes to trick you. They don't listen, don't care and don't understand. This is a bare bones operation that preys on people who may not know any better. Please avoid this company at all cost, literally and figuratively.

ON THE ADVICE OF LEGAL COUNSEL - Under the guidance of my legal representative I am presenting this document with the intention of presenting evidence in a court of law. It is unmistakably obvious that your actions regarding my account are either the result of your reckless negligence and unmitigated ignorance of how to run a company; more than likely, a well-organized, conspiratorial, fraudulent attempt to extort of funds with no moral or ethical compass and no sense of dignity or liability. I AM AN ETHICAL AND HONEST MAN!!!

I had read the countless negative reviews of your company and the incompetency and inconsistency of your “Customer Service Department”. Still, foolishly I thought I would give you an opportunity and take a chance. It was my objective to be honorable and straightforward in my dealings with you. It was my intention to reestablish my credit which was suffering due to unfortunate circumstances on my part. I accepted your offer in good faith, set up a payment plan with my bank (giving you the account and routing numbers). You on the other dirty hand, decided to unscrupulously alter the last digits of my account and routing numbers thereby causing my first payment to collapse and my Credit One account to be frozen, thereby opening the door for you to stop my ability to pay online through my bank account and henceforth create a paradigm to charge me late fees and accrued interest.

THE FOLLOWING IS A RECREATION OF THE EVENTS AS THEY OCCURRED IN REAL TIME TO BE USED AS EVIDENCE IN A COURT OF LAW: I received my card in August and began to use it: On 9/8/ 2017 I requested “Change of due date” for my payment, and authorized two payments of $25 and $30 to you. On 9/9/2017 I received an Account Notifications: "Your account notification preferences have been updated." On 9/9/2017 I received an Account Notifications: 9/8/2017 Payment: You authorized a one-time payment in the amount of $30.00 from your Bank Account ending in **. This will post to your Credit One Bank credit card account on 9/08/2017. Your funds will be available on 9/15/2017. Note that this number (**) is INCORRECT. It is a mix of the last 2 numbers of both my routing number and my account number. (Intentional on your part?)

On 9/11/2017 you asked for a Bank Account Verification: Two small deposits have now been made to your Bank Account. Please check with your financial institution and note the two deposit amounts. Click/tap here then enter the amounts into the provided fields. Note that no deposits were made in my bank because YOU! USED A WRONG NUMBER! “THEN MY ACCOUNT WAS TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED”. I called your Customer Service and spoke to someone and pointed out the discrepancy. She recognized it and made the correction. I was told the account would be activated within 48 hours. NOTHING HAPPENED!!!! I CALLED AGAIN! THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE ACTIVATE BY TOMORROW BY NOON. NOTHING HAPPENED!!!! I called again! Nothing happened!!!!

Then on 9/23/2017 I received an Account Notifications: "As part of the Bank Account Verification process, two small deposits have now been made into your Bank Account. Please follow the steps below to complete the verification process: Contact your financial institution and note the amount of these two deposits. Sign in to Online Account Access and enter the two deposit amounts." NOTHING HAPPENED!!!! No deposits were made to my bank!!! How can I make my payment if I can’t get into the System???? Finally, On October 4, 2017, I reluctantly placed one more call to Customer Service: I spent 5 minutes explaining my situation to your representative and was put on hold for 20 Minutes. It had been over a month since I’ve been dealing with this matter and you have done nothing to reconcile your mistake thereby putting me in interest and late fee jeopardy!!

ON OCTOBER 18, 2017; JUST TO PUT ICING ON THE CAKE, I GET AN EMAIL FROM YOU TO CHECK MY ACCOUNT FOR A MESSAGE. How can I check for a message if I can’t get into the system???? Then, the following day I get a call from your representative, who seems to know absolutely nothing about my account problems, and wants to hustle me into paying $75 on a ludicrous bill of $275 brought on by your negligence in screwing up my account! I told him to close my account! Then on 10/22/2017 I get a billing statement and a notice that my account has been closed! (Really?) I don’t trust you or your so called “organization! I will not send you a check, nor will I give you my debit card number. So sharks, offer me a solution! You created this mess, you clean it up!

For the record: I am a retired vet, living in an adult foster care on social security retirement. My credit score is in the toilet, I was trying to fix it! I don’t care if you screw it up more it doesn’t matter to me! I have no assets! You can’t touch my social security. I have no other source of income! All phone calls and threats are futile! ON THE ADVICE OF LEGAL COUNSEL, I WILL BE FORWARDING COPIES OF THIS COMPLAINT TO THE FOLLOWING GOVERNMENT AGENCIES: Michigan Department of Attorney General, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Better Business Bureau, FDIC, Consumer Affairs.

I am going to stick with the facts of my issues and concerns with the Credit One Bank. On Monday, October 16, 2017 I received an email from Credit One confirming the address change to my account. Red flags, I didn't make any changes. I immediately called into Credit One Bank told them about my email I received and the address change. The representative started to review my file, she looked into a few things and also went through my charges. She indicated someone called in over the weekend and made the address change. I immediately said, "It was not me", she didn't provide me with the new address but indicated she would place a hold on my account and I needed to verify with my family member who is also on the account. I made a quick call and verified there were no changes made by us and called back and talked to another representative who went into a little more detail.

She said the address was changed to a PA address, I indicated I had NEVER lived in PA and only in MN. She deactivated my cards, updated the address and said she would send out new cards for both my Visa and MC account. It would take 7-10 days. And she would remove any charges for needing duplicate cards (Which I told her I would not pay for.) On Thursday, October 26, 2017 (10 days later) I receive in the mail two documents from Credit One. I put them aside and finally opened on Friday, October 27, 2017. The letters were dated on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, two days after I cancelled my cards AND updated my address, they once again changed my address back to the PA address.

I logged onto my Credit One account and was SHOCKED to see over $1000.00 of charges on my account. My old card was deactivated and I hadn't received my new cards yet. Sure enough even after I called in and changed my address, canceled my cards, Credit One once again changed my address back to a fraudulent address AND sent them my new cards AND activated it for them. I asked them why they would change it back when they asked me back on October 16 if I had ever lived in PA. They didn't have an answer and did say Credit One made the errors. The charges occurred under my MC account. I asked them to review my VISA account.

The representative from Credit One wanted to verify some information, I started with last 4 of SSN and then was asked for my address, I gave them my correct address, in MN. He said I need your prior address, I said, I have lived here 3 years, I don't have a prior address with you, he said you changed the address 2 weeks ago. My response "Are you kidding me!?? Are you talking about the address in pa, which isn't mine but the individuals who stole it, their address?" He said "Yes, what is your address" I am completely dumbfounded at this point. No charges were made yet, (except for charges for me to order new cards) and the card had not been activated, I told them to cancel the card, DO NOT ACTIVATE IT and send me new ones to my CORRECT address and remove all charges for new cards, I WILL NOT pay for them.

10.27.2017 it is now 11:41 AM. I have called this business over 4 times. Every single call was a new answer. The Bill is due the 24th. I had attempted to make online payment 10.23.2017 but was returned to "insufficient funds" (which I have my statements and is inaccurate on their end). But ever since August when they tried to "verify" my bank card that I have been paying with since I FIRST got this card over 2 years ago their "small deposits" were not going through to my bank (I never have this issue with any other credit cards I have or any issues with my bank). The 25th was not my first time calling in and making an over the phone payment. When I do complain they wave the fee. You would think ever since they've been "trying to verify" my account they would notice something on their end was wrong or they would try to fix the situation instead of just trying to avoid it.

Anyhow, on 10.25 I called was on the phone with the their "supervisor" (a title thrown around loosely there). She had waived the "late fee" and waved the over the phone payment fee and waved the previous months late fee (since it was the same situation last month) NEVER INFORMED ME OF ANY DELINQUENCY ON THE ACCOUNT OR INFORMED ME MY ACCOUNT WAS TO BE SUSPENDED. 10.27 I check my email and I have an email saying someone has changed information on my account that if it wasn't me to call (email and phone numbers) I call and they said they had made the changes and "temporarily suspended my account" due to too many "insufficient fund payments".

Two insufficient payments that is their own system's fault because every time I make a payment OVER THE PHONE it goes through with NO PROBLEM but if I use their online system to make a payment all the sudden it's "insufficient funds" come one. They want their late payment fees. I have informed them of this problem since August. Meanwhile I've been in contact with this bank numerous amounts of times since August when they kept trying to "Verify" my bank account with their "small deposits". Every time I went to make a payment online after this verification didn't work it would override my payment and keep telling me to verify their small deposits!!!

I call today they want me to send them transaction verification from my bank because they had closed my account that this would not hurt my credit. After the 4th time calling them back today I was connected with a supervisor in the Investigations unit who was extremely rude and did not take into consideration everything I have been telling her that has been happening since August. I don't care if they needed to freeze the account I just didn't need my credit score to be affected by something that is THEIR fault. The best part is the "Investigator" told me there would be NO CHANCE my account could reopen that I could try and send in the statements for review but it is not guaranteed and that I am out of luck because they are going to report this to my credit.

I told the "Investigator" that maybe she should do her job and review all the previous phone calls I have placed since August about the small deposits and about not being able to pay this account online. Credit One Bank is SHADY and they're just trying to play anyone anyway possible. If there's a way to prevent this from my credit report please let me know.

I would understand if it was because I lost the card or it was damaged due to my error but not for a name change.

I have been with this company for about 2 yrs now... And had no real problems with them, until now. I recently joined with a new bank (how I usually would pay my credit card bill). I must have input the account info incorrectly so my credit card was never paid (I assumed it was because I had it automatically taken out of my bank account) so when it time to make payments again I called to verify information with one of the Credit One representative and they assured me I updated my account information and funds would be taken out.

So when I go to check my account online I see my account is locked. I called and spoke with a nasty ** representative named Kim who in the end ended up hanging up on me. I told her I previously spoke with a rep and they assured me that they updated my card info and funds would be taken out of my account... Which she tried to make me seem as though I am lying... Saying they cannot update any info online. So I asked her, "Then what are you verifying information if you guys had incorrect information and I give you the correct information what are you updating." So therefore whoever I spoke to never updated my information online, therefore I gave them the correct information and they did nothing with it leading up to my account being closed. I am going to make sure I take this to the higher ups because they are wrong!!!

One day I started getting calls from my vendor stating that my payments were not going through, as I use this card for my business and advertising. I went to log into my account and was not able to. I called the horrible customer service line for help. They would not listen to my story. They stated my account was blocked because hackers tried to pay my balance back up and it was declined too many times. With a completely different account than I have ever used or a checking account from a different person. My account was disabled, not because it was hacked, but because hackers "tried" to pay my card balance back up with another stolen card too many times.

After asking for a supervisor and disconnected, I called back. The next person, ruder than the last, did some digging for me and turns out that the hackers called them up and changed my address online. They did not even have to use my password that I had set up. They were able to do this over the phone, all the while I have a password for my account specific for this reason! They completely disregarded the fact that I #1 had a password and #2 was not paying from an account from a complete stranger when there was not other users qualified to use my account.

So I cancel my account and get a new card. I asked for an immediate credit because the company that they tried to purchase products from even admitted that it was fraud, but did not ship the orders. It made no sense to me that they did not ship the product, yet my card was still charged the $576.00 on it and it will remain on there until I sign an affidavit.

At this point, it will take up to 90 days to get my credit back. If that is not bad enough, I went to pay some of the balance so I can use the new card and continue my advertising and business practice. THEY WOULD NOT LET ME! The hackers tried to pay 4 times in the last 30 days, and that is their limit. The 4th customer service person that I spoke to, 3 days later STILL did not ask me my password when I was speaking with them, just wanted my social security number. AVOID THIS COMPANY! Not one person that I spoke to was genuine or even cared. Not one person that I spoke with actually wanted to help. They apologized a lot and 2 people could not understand my English, which is my primary language.

Unless you HAVE to get this card, I don't recommend it. It only helps your credit if you only use 30% of the entire amount available and you pay it off every month.

After dealing with Hurricane Irma in Florida we called Credit One Bank on September 30th, 4:06 pm to request a grace period for extension of payments as we had loss of power for 2 weeks resulting in income disruption and unexpected costs. On that day a Credit One Bank representative told us that the company will allow for a grace period and that no payment will need to be made until November 9th and no late fees will be added.

Unfortunately, for the past week we have been getting harassing phone calls, today we spoke with Credit One Bank who told us they assessed a late fee and we must pay now in full. When we asked about their system notes the rep said they have no record of our conversation of September 30, 2017. Be wary with this company. They do not honor their word, they do not recognize that people in disasters have legitimate need for help nor seemingly are efficient in documenting. Credit One Bank is a terribly bad company towards consumers.

A few weeks ago I noticed my card had been compromised so I called them to let them know of the fraudulent charges. They sent me a new card and they did remove SOME of the charges but not all of them. The charges had amounted to well over $100 but they only credited me for $60. So I logged in (a feat in itself) to review all of my past statements. Of course, the website will not let me open any of my statements. It will "say" that I have but their site will not let me open, view or print any of my statements. Today I called to find out how I can get copies of my statements and was told I would have to wait until November because my account was new. I have never in my life heard of such a ridiculous response as this. They really should give the people in India better excuses. So I asked her if she could email the statements to me and, at first, she said she could.

Then as our conversation continued she changed her story to "no, that is something I cannot do." (Of course). So I asked her if she could mail them to me. We'll see if I ever get my statements. They are probably working on them to compromise the fraudulent charges. Just now, I received my monthly statement email from them. I have been trying repeatedly to log in but it just keeps sending me in a loop saying it was not able to log me in. Even though I can see my name in the upper right hand corner. Lovely. These jackasses need to be investigated. I don't know what kind of a scam they are running but they should be shut down and put in jail. This is ridiculous. I have no choice but to spread the truth about Credit One Bank on social media. Be warned... They will screw you over.
