Summary: It used to be a reliable computer component supplier. Not anymore. We'd rather buy from Amazon or BH Photo Video now.
Details: Bought components for a new computer build, about $1,200 worth. Received a bundle discount.After 3 weeks, one of the cooling fans in an expensive video card failed. Contacted Newegg asking to send a new one first (charge me) and I will swap and send the failed one back. Zero help from NewEgg (Marie S.). Per her, the card is out of stock. Would not give a bundle discount for me to purchase another card as a replacement. Newegg basically left our small business stranded and forced to pay more for a different card now.

I purchased computer parts from Newegg in a Newegg "package deal". When my son put the computer together the 2g hard drive was not compatible with the motherboard in the package deal. While I realize it was past the return date , as the computer was a gift, Newegg refused to refund the money. Newegg should not have sold a package deal with incompatible parts. Buyer beware.

I am very disappointed in Newegg. In November 2023 I purchased a Windows 11 Pro DVD which installed and worked fine until the latest windows update in November 2024 which deactivated Windows on my machine. After numerous tries and internet searches I eventually called Microsoft Help in January 2025. They told me that the Product Key has been attempted to be used on more than just several computers and there was nothing they could do to reactivate it on my machine.
I contacted Newegg and was told "That's impossible, the product came from Microsoft directly." I would think Microsoft would know what they are doing. Even if the DVD came from Microsoft it won't stop anyone from selling the Key to more than one customer. I was told they were going to have their techs check it out and get back to me. I haven't heard a word from them since. I have tried emailing their customer service but no response. I don't trust Newegg anymore. I will be filing a formal complaint with Microsoft snitch line. I think Newegg will not appreciate having Microsoft contact them in this regard since what they have done is illegal. I will keep everyone posted on this.

NewEgg used to be a real company. It seems like a dead website and company now. I ordered $1500 worth of hard drives now. They took the money. On the day it was supposed to arrive, it still showed as "processing". No chat available. Called the number, endless hold time. Literally no one there. I'm going to cancel my order and hope they actually refund the money, but if they don't, I guess I'm just out the $1500 until a class action hits and I get $25 back or something. This is criminal.

I recently ordered a gaming PC from Newegg as a birthday gift for my son, only for it to never arrive on the promised date. This left me scrambling to find a replacement last minute at Best Buy just to make sure he had a gift on time. As a business owner, I took a chance on Newegg despite the numerous negative reviews, and I regret that decision.
To add insult to injury, customer service was absolutely terrible. They showed no concern for my situation, offered no real solutions, and made it clear that my issue was not a priority. Reliability and customer service are critical, especially for high-value purchases, and Newegg has failed on both counts. Because of this awful experience, I will be using my influence online and through my business network to strongly discourage anyone from shopping with Newegg. If you’re considering ordering from them, think twice—there are far more reliable companies out there that actually care about their customers.

This use to be a good company before it got bought out, now it's just the name and a different company. Their company has become very shady and tries to scam people. I was scammed by them once and I'm taking them to small claims now to recover some of it. BEWARE this new scam company, it's no longer the Newegg we use to all love.

I've been using NewEgg exclusively for my computer component needs for about 17 years now, even when other sites were cheaper. I'd rather pay a bit more for peace of mind and the certainty that I'll be treated well. Historically, I've been exceptionally happy with the speed and service NewEgg offered. Things are starting to change, however. NewEgg is not as good as it was years ago. I searched for a 9800x3d tonight and the first 8 items it returned were motherboards and AIOs. NE has gotten comfortable with the idea that their user base is captured and has taken a page from Amazon, shoving more and more sponsored results to the top and making it harder to find the components that you want. It's not useless yet, but I'll be on the lookout for a better marketplace and I'd recommend the same for anyone else considering NE as an option.

Purchased a bunch of desktops from them, and asked my wife to do the same as I am filling up a brand new business with computers, monitors, network, server etc, etc. A week goes by, nothing ships from my wife's orders but mine arrived. Contacted their live support who basically said our transitions were suspicious and they went and cancelled them. No word back, wouldn't restore 1 of the 2 orders we had. Would barely talk to us. We're both business owners with perfect credit, and we spend 6 figures a year + on electronics. What's suspicious exactly? And then they offered to unlock my wife's account like they're doing me a favor. To this date, it still isn't. Unbelievable dog crap service. Will not come here if they paid me to. Stay away.

We made a digital purchase for Microsoft and NordVPN subscription. The digital product key didn't work so, we contacted Newegg immediately with screenshots. They refused to offer us any help or compensation. Told us to go check with Microsoft. It's not Microsoft's problem, they didn't sell this key to us! Even then, we contacted Microsoft and they said that the product key Newegg sold is fake. Newegg simply stopped replying and is not giving us a refund. Newegg basically scammed us with a fake key. We lost $70 without the digital product we paid for.

Newegg is the most disreputable sites I've ever experienced. I placed an order online. They canceled it and raised the price on the hard drives I was trying to purchase. I elected to make a second purchase at the new price and they canceled that order and raise the price two-fold. Unbelievable!

I bought a $3000 laptop from Newegg. The laptop was faulty and I started the refund process. Customer service doesn't reply (2 weeks and counting). Refunding a product and absolutely no help. They sent it back, no explanation, nothing. Terrible, buy your PC stuff on another website. Now stuck with a PC that has a black screen and overheats the moment it turns on (and it's just taken out of the package). Davina A from Customer service, you suck at your job.

Worst company to deal with warranty or packages lost in transit. They make you go through extra steps just to make it harder. Once I'm done with this situation I'm never coming back to buy from them. Advice - stay away from them.

Absolutely the worst of the worst. Shady business practices, double billings, rug-pull 'sales', Newegg.com routinely pulls the shadiest **** they can get away with. If you happen across a deal, and it has ANYTHING to do with the scam artists at Newegg, turn tail and run away. You can always get whatever it is elsewhere. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with these con artists.

Very pleased with the battery back up. Delivered in a timely fashion. The back up does the job with our finicky electric grid. I have same back up on my office computer for years and it works perfectly. The information link to my computer is helpful in tracking battery life and other useful information.

I have been a Newegg customer since 2005 and I am extremely pleased with the products, prices, and customer service that they have provided to me. In all that time I have only had a few minor issues, all of which were resolved to my satisfaction in a timely manner.

I ordered an Xbox, after a month of waiting it said it had finally arrived. I was home all day and did not receive anything. I emailed and they said they didn't know why, it said it was delivered and to check with my post office. I did, the post office told me it was a fake tracking number. I emailed them telling them what the post office had said, they just told me to check again. They didn't understand why it wasn't there. I asked for a refund 4 time, but they just tell me to check the post office, now they won't respond to my emails. About a week after placing my order my name, email, phone number, and debit card was used to by them at Fashion Nova. I got double scammed! I would highly recommend avoiding ordering anything from them.

For the most part you can find what you're looking for. The prices we get to me is the free games. It's almost impossible to get to the free game. I bought a CPU. I've yet to figure out how to get and download the Warhammer game. I given up and I'm pissed about it.

I ordered two separate items Newegg (one electric toothbrush and one iPad). The first red flag were the retailer names on the credit card receipt - both random names with no connection to Newegg. I head nothing else for a week or so and contacted Newegg accordingly. They gave me the same tracking number for both items, even though they were separate transactions from different ‘retailers’ on different credit cards. The tracking showed info from China, but no US tracking websites recognized the tracking number.
I contacted Newegg again and they told me to be patient. Weeks passed and nothing arrived (and no further info) so I contacted Newegg again and told them this was clearly a scam and to refund me. They said they had already done so, but they hadn’t. I asked them to tell me when the credit was processed and to confirm the last four digits of my cards. They ignored me. I tried again. They ignored me again. I contacted my credit card providers and put both in dispute. Many weeks wasted. No reply from Newegg and no explanation as to how these scams are allowed on their website.

I made a purchase from this company and after charging my PayPal account for the amount I authorized, within 30 minutes they charged other amounts. Now I can not even pull up their website to check the original order. I have notified PayPal and my credit card company that this company is a fraud. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!!

I use to love buying from Newegg and anymore. It's been kind of a joke. Prices tend to be higher than others even though they price match. So if you aren't paying attention to the item cost you could be overpaying. The shipping is absolutely terrible. My item says "delivered" but isn't here and I sent an email and still haven't heard back.

Stay far away from NewEgg. I have done business with them for 10+ years and will never do business with them again. Stay away from any ABS computer on here as the customer support is atrocious. I spent $2000 on a gaming PC from them and now the Intel 13th Gen i7 processor is failing due to Intel not knowing how to properly manufacture a CPU. ABS support said I had to pay shipping both ways to get a replacement and would take several weeks up to 3 months. ABS is owned by NewEgg and has shady business practices just like NewEgg. Never doing business with NewEgg or their crap ABS prebuilt computers.

Had a horrible experience with a few pcs bought from them. Had to send them back and ultimately went with a name brand instead of abs. Sent in a graphics for trade in, they rejected my trade in. Ultimately was a waste of time and won't be purchasing any items from Newegg permanently.

I am glad this is my first desktop PC because of the quality of it. This PC has done everything I've needed it to and runs any game I can think of off the top of my head. They really knocked it out of the park with this PC and I'd say it's a great desktop to get you started if you haven't used a desktop before. So if anyone is reading this I would highly recommend this if you're willing to spend the money.

I have never had an issue with purchasing directly from Newegg.com. If a product has arrived broken they make a prompt refund occur or a like purchased device available. Will continue to purchase from them in the future, from Newegg.com.

Would rate them ZERO stars if I could but unfortunately that's not an option. I ordered PC parts and they didn't send me 2 of my items totaling $500, I submitted a claim and they denied it because "the warehouse said they completed the order". So now I'm out $500, they won't send me the items, or refund me....based on the other reviews, it seems like this is a recurring issue. I will be contacting anyone and everyone I know. I have a large internet following and will be posting videos letting everyone know not to purchase from this company. And I will be pursuing legal action and contacting the BBB. Hope they're ready!!!
