I went online to start the free scan. At one point, I was directed to call an 800 number. I spoke to a salesperson and agreed to a $39.99 fix. The scan found 5,000 issues wrong with my PC. She stated I needed to speak to a special technician. For only $199.99, I could get the rest of these issues removed from my PC. I said I couldn't afford it and she said she would refund my previous $39.99. I said I still couldn't afford it. She tried to convince me I needed to clean my PC. When that didn't work, she thanked me for my business and hung up. I spoke to my son-in-law, he ran some scans on my PC and found 2 issues with my PC. Is that what I needed to pay $200.00 for? My next stop is the Better Business Bureau!

I didn't get my requested refund... I purchased a product that was defective. I was told I had to call to activate the product; however, this is not what I had purchased and didn't want the product; thus, I immediately requested a refund. I later noticed I didn't receive a refund and called. They said there was nothing they could do as I was calling after 30 days. I asked if I could forward the email reflecting a request for refund the day I purchased the product - they rudely stated it wouldn't help as they couldn't refund the amount. I had never activated the product, and I sent an email requesting a refund the day I purchased the product... and did not get my money back.

I purchased the My Clean PC software and loaded as instructed. It went to work and advised me of all the problems my PC had. This is what happened after they scanned my PC. I had to call tech support to activate the program. Now from here on out, it went downhill to a sales pitch. The tech support guy (Jeff #**) went through my system and the whole time we talked, he wanted to refund my $39.99 I had just paid and wanted me to pay $199.00 upfront after the $39.99 credit/refund that he had promised, plus charge me another $14.95 (a month) from now until I closed out the account with written notice to the company. Oh yeah was my PC faster. No. Money scam in my opinion. I am going to attempt to obtain a $39.99 refund, which I doubt I will get.

MyCleanPC is a scam that has no chance of doing what it promised to buyers. In fact, it makes your laptop/desktop more vulnerable to all sorts of adware, malware attacks. I bought MyCleanPC software on October 15, 2012. Almost immediately, I began noticing unbelievable number of advertisements of all kinds on my laptop, making my laptop to run even slower. I have so far uninstalled all traces of MyCleanPC from my laptop, and the effect is spectacular. There are no more silly and annoying ads and my laptop is a bit faster. When I called them to get my money back - they said I had passed the 30 days money back. I am writing this to warn other people not to buy or download MyCleanPC for anything. It will ruin your computer.

I downloaded the MyCleanPC software from CyberDefender. I talked to a service rep to help with the installation, and they tried to sell me some other plan for a few hundred dollars. I opted not to take it. After the installation was finished and my computer rebooted, it would not go pass the Window start screen. After rebooting it about 5 times, I was able to get to my desktop. But now, everything is 5 times slower or the computer would just freeze. I had to ghost my machine because the MyCleanPC also took out my restore points I had saved on my C drive. It was a good thing that I had my installation CD; the bad thing was I lost all my data because I couldn't save anything.

I tried to download. It wouldn't work. I called in and was redirected to a different website. It wouldn't even open. I called back. This phone number wasn't even activated. I called the first # and was told it would work if I paid $199 + $14.95 a month. No can do, I was given a "code". Code wouldn't work (we did this 3 different times). Finally, I was given a 24-digit code, got the scan to start. It scanned for hours, no fruition. Once again, I was told I needed to get the $199 + deal and it would work. "No can do," I said again. "Oh, but it would definitely work better for you," they said again. They said I must have some problems with my PC! Hah. Uh, duh? After 6 hours (on the phone mostly), I can't even use my PC because their screen won't go away. Yes, I am pissed.

My husband called MyCleanPC to install the software on his computer, trying to speed it up. After being told that there were over 400 errors on the computer and that the computer tech we took it to was trying to charge us for something unnecessary, he agreed to install the software and paid for it. He was transferred 3 times before he was connected with Romeo **. Romeo shadowed the computer to install the software and advised my husband to let the program run and then follow the prompts once the download was complete and then hung up. So, he did as he was told.

Now, we have no computer. It will not go past the Windows screen. He called back and was transferred to 4 or 5 different people, all of which could not help with a resolution. He was then transferred to Alicia. Alicia advised him she will refund the money; however, this could take 7-10 days or longer. As he was about to hang up. I asked to speak with Alicia, as I wanted an explanation. She told me they could sell us a program to fix this, so I asked to speak to a supervisor but was denied. When I asked Alicia again why this happened, I was told "I guess your computer had a virus and did not like our software." I told her that we did not have a virus and if there was one, why did it surface when this program was run?

Once again, I was told our computer did not like their software. Alicia then told me I could go to the control panel and uninstall the program. Really? I reminded her once again the computer crashed because of their software that was installed. I asked for an explanation again. I then asked her if she was telling me that we were out of luck, that it's not their problem, sorry, and that I am just ** out of luck. And Alicia said, "Basically, yeah."

I asked for a copy of their terms and conditions to be mailed to me and was once again denied. I was told to go to their website and read it from there. I reminded her that their software made our computer crash, and she told me I could go to the public library and use the computer there. I asked for the address to send a letter to request their terms and conditions and was told that I would receive a call upon receipt of my letter which advised me that I would have to log on to their website to obtain this information.

So I thanked her for not helping me and hung up. I later looked up the website from my computer (not my husband's that was crashed), and guess what? There is not one iota of information, unless you download their software. There's no contact information, no terms and conditions, no nothing. How long will they be allowed to get away with this?

I downloaded the program and was connected to a so-called technician. All he wanted to do was sell me more expensive programs, one costing nearly $600.00. He wouldn't take no for an answer and I had difficulty with this pushy person. I’m going back to exercise my 30-day money back guarantee.

I purchased this crummy program but I was issued a refund for this junk. The way that you can get your money back is to place on a charge account or even a by using a debit card. Under the "Special Rule for Credit card Purchases" (a federal law), "If you purchase an item and are not satisfied with the quality of goods or services, you have 60 days from the purchase date to dispute the purchase. You must first make a good faith effort by contacting the merchant and trying to settle the matter. You only have this right if the item you purchased is over $50 and the merchant is located at least 100 miles from you. The complaint also must be initiated within 60 days from the date of purchase."

Technically, the creditor doesn't have to honor debit card transactions or if it is less than $50 but if you assert yourself you will prevail! Simply speak with a customer service agent associated with the debit or credit card by calling their 800 number and then selecting the choice to speak with them. Certain exceptions can be made if it is beyond the 60 days such as a particularly long wait for receipt of goods or the inability or need to have tried the product before the 60 days is up such that you couldn't have possible yet known if the product was defective. If you do this, you will receive your money back.

I paid for and downloaded MyCleanPC onto my computer and had nothing but trouble with the program. It was not cleaning my PC as I was getting the same error messages time after time. I finally had to delete the program from my computer. I contacted the company and told them they did not have my permission to charge any further charges against my credit card. I never received a response. I would like to have my cost of $ 39.98 refunded, but no one will talk with me or answer any of my emails. What can I do to get my money back and make sure I am no longer charged?

I saw the company advertised on TV for an antivirus program called and I wanted to add to my wife's computer that was a year old. On July 7, 2010, I contacted via internet "" and to clean PC and add antivirus protection, they wanted $69.93 for one year. When ordered and activated, I was instructed to call. Technician got on the phone and I gave him access and control of the laptop. He said I have over 420 errors and that they would need another $389.00 to remove the viruses. After they remove the errors, it would be good for one year.

I refused and requested an immediate refund of the $69.93 and indicated that they were a scam organization. They indicated they would refund the $69.93 but it would take awhile. The next day, I had a computer expert review the laptop and he said there were no errors on the computer and that he had seen this before. Once I let them in, they placed the errors on our laptop to get us to buy their products (which I believe was done when they placed me on hold for two long periods of time). Their advertising led me to believe that I would have computer cleaned of any errors and then have antivirus protection for the $69.93.

During my discussions and my challenges of what exactly they were doing, they were very rude and placed me on hold for long periods. I'm very disappointed as they have the USA Paper (News) emblem on their main page. I find it hard to believe that USA would support this. I really believe this company is a scam artist.
