We bought a ring from Fingerhut, it was for my disabled wife. I have wanted to get it for a long time, but since my stroke our funds are limited. So we finally get the ring. My wife wears it one time and a stone falls out. I contact Fingerhut and am told there is nothing they will do but I am expected to pay full price for a defective product. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM AT ALL. THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY SELL.

This company is bogus. It preys on financially challenged individuals or families, charging waaaay above market price (while touting sale prices) with outrageous shipping fees because they are hoping this is the only buying option these people have. It is beyond evil.

I signed up with Fingerhut as a way of establishing credit. After several months they offered me a much higher limit, stating if I didn't use it, it would return to my previous limit. I didn't need more, so I ignored it. I received a notification from them that my credit limit had been reduced to the previous limit (fine with me) but then they reported to the credit bureau that my limit had been decreased. As a result, my credit score dropped by 24 pts.! I called them, and told them this was essentially credit blackmail; if I don't spend what they offer me, they report it and my credit goes down. I had no choice but to close my account, as they had no solution or apology.

The products you find on Fingerhut have ridiculously high price tags. Unless you're trying to build credit, you can find the same items for much less elsewhere. In addition, the shipping costs are outrageous! $22 to ship a waffle maker?? So what should cost give or take $60 becomes $90. Ridiculous!!

I had place a console Nintendo last December for my preschooler and returned back to Fingerhut at the end of January with the Super Mario game. Both items were in the same return box and I used same return form to give the reasons of return. I received an email stating Fingerhut received the return but only the game was credited not the console.
I have been calling them since February 2019 and emailed them as well as faxed a form (that was sent). No response/credit regarding the console. Now that I placed a stop in the monthly payment I have been getting calls and the representative stated they will investigate what happened but meanwhile I will have to pay for it since it’s been since last year I placed the order unless I get the return receipt from ups. What! Is he for real? They want me to pay for a item that I returned and someone from their company is using for sure. So customers buy and for whatever reasons return it and still being charged for an item that he/she does not have. Stealing is what Fingerhut is doing.

Big mistake I have made applying with this company. I buy dollhouse for my daughter, I realize I was paying 3x the price for it. I could have been get it on Amazon for way better price. They overprice you for thing you can get at local store or at Amazon for better deal. They also charge you some hidden fees that I didn’t even know about. Every time I was making a payment my balance would never go down. Big mistake! Not worth it.

Y'all can say what y'all want as far as Fingerhut extending lines of credit but what about those outrageous shipping and handling cost. I want to buy a $29.99 item but I "refuse" to pay $14.99 for shipping and $3.20 for tax. There's is no rhyme or reason shipping and handling should be that high. For that reason alone I will just keep my card till they decide to close it for non-use.

I would give zero stars if I could!! I am a very long time customer of Fingerhut. I purchased a 65" LG tv from fingerhut on 2/28. I received the tv in the middle of March. I did not open the box until a few days ago because I was waiting for someone to come put it up on the wall. When the box was opened we saw the tv screen was cracked. I paid for additional warranty by the way. I called and was told I needed to call lg. Lg said it was not their problem. It was fingerhut because of delivery. Neither will replace the tv nor reimburse me. I have been given the runaround for a week and I am told, "Too bad. Not only do you have no tv but you still have to pay for it!!!!"

I'm giving them one star only because I have to to post this review. I enrolled in the Fingerhut Freshstart program to start building my credit. Not only did they NOT help my credit they had the exact opposite effect on it!! I purchased a pair of boots for $100 with the $40 down they require and made the first payment of $20. When I received the boots they were of terrible quality so I promptly returned them. I checked the tracking and saw that the boots had been received by them. A month later I was still being billed the remaining amount. I contacted them and was told they had not received them yet. This went on for a month and a half of them telling me, "No we have no record of them yet." In the mean time I had even received an email stating the fact that the boots had been received. All the while being billed for them. I was not going to pay for something I did not have.
So finally 3 months later I was credited for the boots lest shipping and handling charges of about $25 and late fees because I did not continue to make payments while they were screwing me around. Needless to say they reported on my credit report that I owed them $37 and the account was charged off. Then they sold it to a debt recovery company. Now not only did they mark my credit report, the debt recovery has too. I refuse to pay for something I didn't have or want. I disputed the account with the credit bureaus and FH said they would remove the account but NEVER DID! They are a dirty company with bad business practices. Beware!!!

I purchased a smartphone on Fingerhut. The catalog specifically said that the phone was compatible with Verizon network. After spending $125.00 and being frustrated for a month we discovered that it was NOT compatible with Verizon network. Fingerhut has refused to take back the phone and I have refused to pay for it. Frankly, I will sue them for fraud & for violation of RICO if I have to. Their Return policy states that they accept after 30 days products that are defective. If a product doesn't work it is defective.

I ordered a swing set for my grandtwins after they were out of the car. I really wanted to get for them for their birthday. But I noticed on the bank account I had been charged twice for the same item. So I called them back and told them about the discrepancy. After holding on waiting to speak to a supervisor I just decided to cancel the whole order. The lady assured me I would get my money back the same day or no later than the following day. I thanked her.
The following day I wanted to speak to a supervisor because I still didn't have my money, I waited on them to come to the phone. He pretended to not hear me and hung up after I waited 17 minutes. I called back and got a person. He put me on hold and he never came back on the line. The I rider was placed and cancelled on Monday August 26 and today is Thursday August 30, 2019. I called back today and now the lady tells me it could be 30 or more days before I get my money back. I just don't understand. But if I could give this company no stars I would.

Fingerhut was fabulous in my time of need. I did not have the money to buy a new, much less used, phone so I turned to Fingerhut (against my better judgment). I am so happy I did and am grateful to this day. My cell phone was delivered in a timely fashion and it was beautiful! I ran into trouble shortly thereafter as I lost my job and had no way to pay. They were VERY patient and understanding. I was able to pay them off at tax time, which was approximately 3-4 months away, but they were willing to work with me. Even though they charge more for everything, they are still there for you! Jennifer in Mayville, NY

If I wanted to get the false report off my credit report, it was up to me to challenge the credit and when they were contacted they would not respond and it would be removed. Past the measly "60 day" return policy, so the customer service woman bluntly told me it was past the policy date and there's nothing to be done for us but that I could call the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer, and he couldn't seem to understand a single word I said. I applied for a Fingerhut credit card about 3 yrs. ago and I never thought I would get approved with my horrific credit. With the grace of this company they offered me a a $250 credit limit. With much gratitude I was able to purchase a room filtering system for allergies my son had attained with the worrisome of breathing quality today. I cannot say enough the $ 9.99 payment a month had me breathing just as good for the not so heavy burden of an extra payment a month. 3yrs. later with my faithfulness & Fingerhut's faithful customer appreciation my credit limit is $1000.00. This company gave me a chance when I had nothing.... Not even money to buy my son sneakers for school. The day that I received the ordered Sperry’s for 1st day of school I had tears in my eyes that they gave me the ability to dress my son in quality name brands to fit it. When I had nothing they gave me something. They came through with deliverance of UPS Shipping on time.
Today I work for that shipping company UPS in Farmingville N.Y. and the pride I feel when I handle packages shipped out in Quality always makes me remember from my first purchase how pleased I was with the honored shipping of high standards & time accuracy. I can’t help but be grateful for the particulates of 2 great companies changing my life. Fingerhut for giving me a chance for providing necessities for my children & United Parcel Service for providing job opportunities I never thought possible to provide for my children. Shipping is fast. That’s the only thing I liked. They say they report back to your credit but it takes them forever to report ANYTHING. Barely even enough to do anything for your credit. Isn’t worth it for me. You make your payments on time every month expecting your credit score to be great & they don’t report enough to let you get one point. I’ve been with them for a year & my score has only gone up once!! That’s the whole reason I joined Fingerhut. & if you miss one payment, it affects your score tremendously!!! Even though you are enrolled into a protection plan type of thing that prevents them from adding extra charges on when you do miss a payment. It’s a complete joke. Wouldn’t waste your time with them & their products aren’t really that great. You can find better products for cheaper at their legit stores.

Fingerhut offers the consumer with bad/no credit approval to purchase merchandise on credit. The terms are terrible, but that should be expected. The prices are marked up heavily (sometimes 50%+) and in the era of mostly free and expedited shipping, Fingerhut has outrageous shipping charges, using the cheapest shipping methods that take the longest. Fingerhut preys the low income and targets many people that will have trouble paying them back, because they can with their outrageous markups and shipping charges. Predatory Fingerhut sends me emails to let know when I have credit available - which is always. What other creditor ever does that? Let’s not forget about the constant mailers, emails and catalogues I don’t want.
They also engage in a game where they temporarily raise my credit limit and then lower it if I don’t buy anything. This yo-yo game is constantly reported on the credit report as a changing limit, affecting utilization and so on. I would’ve kept my account open, but I’ve had enough of their predatory tactics. I’ve been a customer for a few years, and my credit is good enough where I no longer need what they offer. I feel for the people that have no other option and fall prey to these predators. If I had it to do over, I’d get a secured credit card.

Do not get credit from Fingerhut unless you intend to use it. I received credit and every time I looked for anything it was overpriced and my credit was based on you have to send us this much, usually $40 to obtain your credit. I chose not to use it because of how overpriced I found the products to be. Was far cheaper to save and buy without their credit. Recently my Credit Score went down and I found they had reported closing the account. Today I received a letter stating they had reviewed my account due to it not being active so they had resubmitted for a credit review? WHAT? I did not reapply nor authorize them to do this. Be aware they do this and it could affect your credit score, yet it seems shady to me. I am insisting this be removed from my credit and not sure what they are thinking however thought everyone should be aware of this practice.

It was 65 days when I finally had it with it not working properly and called Fingerhut to return it, because fixing it over and over again was getting tiresome, and hurting my back even more. I have had my Fingerhut account for at least five years now. I never order anything but like that the available credit benefits me. Fingerhut notifies me that my account would be closed due to inactivity unless I purchased something. I wanted to keep the account so I ordered a Dyson vacuum. No issue there. The vacuum is fine, arrived on time, quality is great, etc. I had set up automatic payments with no problem. $20 every week. The payments went as scheduled until they didn't. I had just been called a few days ago about my Fingerhut account, the person on the phone says my account is past-due and they don't have any payment since May 24th. I get off the phone and check my account online and sure enough no payment since May. I checked my bank transactions and no payment since May. I check my email and Fingerhut account online again and there's no notification whatsoever about a past-due amount.
I made the payment online right away. I never authorized the recurring payments to stop so I called customer service. They told me there was a "mispayment" on July 9th and my account is past due for $65. I said, "No. I made a payment online yesterday." After being transferred to multiple people and multiple calls not one person can tell me why the automatic payments stopped, why I was never notified, a date that my account was past due, how many days my account was late, or when this information is reported to the credit bureaus. I taped the return labels provided and paid for by Fingerhut on the outside of the box; according to them. I did that, right? Well, waiting for the credit to reappear on my account, I got the email stating the item(s) were returned without issues. Well, issues were there. I keep telling these ** to check the box and open it up but they're telling me I'm stuck having to pay for the items regardless of the return! That's NOT happening in any life time!
I sent them a copy of the tracking history from The UPS Store since that's all the Manager could find for me. I didn't pay out of pocket shipping so there was no receipt! This is ** up because the level of incompetence is beyond belief! After two phone calls and three emails, my money was refunded on 6/18/19. This caused several problems with my June finances but at least it was resolved.
Last month, to show good faith and because I needed it for health reasons, I purchased an air filter for approximately $300. The filter arrived on time and in perfect condition. I ordered a product - and was sent an email the next day that my product had been shipped. Great. The screenshot I saw said the estimated delivery time was to following day. But two days later - with no package - I got an email that they were attempting to cancel my order without notice due to an address change. So then I talked to four different people and gave the same information to all four people. Got the address resolved -- however, the first person I talked to said I needed to reorder the product. But I can't because the credit hasn't come back to my account. So then she transfers me to another guy, who says "No you don't have to reorder it".
Okay -- so then I as far as I know it's still on its way with UPS. But then UPS said the package never arrived to them - the only thing that arrived was a shipping label, not the actual product. That was almost 48 hours ago. Now, I get ahold of UPS and there is still no update on the activity of my package , UPS says "Well if they said they shipped it you should have nothing to worry about" -- but wouldn't/couldn't answer my question if the package had actually arrived to their facility. I called Fingerhut back and once again was told that I needed to reorder the product. So I explained to the lady - who was American - the entire conversation I had with another guy. "I didn't tell you that you had to reorder it, you're making things up".
I asked her to transfer me, and she did -- and then the customer service rep I spoke to then said, "Well it was sent out -- they just haven't scanned it yet." And also said it will be sent out at some point. Which is it? So basically -- I ordered a $400 laptop that is lost somewhere in cyberspace. Neither UPS or Fingerhut can tell me where the thing is. I will never order through them again - If I can somehow cancel my order and get that refund I intend to. But it seems as though that is not an actual possibility. So I'm on the hook for $400 for a product I'm not actually going to receive.

Settled my account in full but they're insist on continuing to report my payment status as charge off and instead of updating it as settled. They sell your account off to a collector who will offer you a pay for deletion option but then they WILL NOT delete Webbank/Fingerhut from your report after you submit your payment. Making it appear that I made no effort to settle the account even though I paid their collector in full. There are no options to fix this, they outsource their customer service and billing to India and they simply send you back to the collector and have no heart. Could care less.

I ordered my husband a pair of boots and when we received them they was like 2 sizes too big so we filled out a exchange paper. 3 days later I see a refund on our account but not for the whole price. Why in the world do we have to pay to send them back. I have never had a place make the customer pay to ship back something that is in perfect condition. I have spent thousands of dollars with them and this is my first time returning/exchanging something. And come to find out they wasn’t even going to ship us the correct size. My husband has had the same shoe size since he was a teenager so I don’t see how I was supposed to know they sell stuff that’s not sized correct. So I’m stuck paying 21$ for something we don’t have. Never again will I spend a penny with them.

My order consisted of 2 pairs of jeans (one of the pairs of jeans wasn't even the size we ordered) and 4 Funko Pop!'s toy figures which had a total weight of only a 3 pounds 14 ounces, and I was charged $32 for shipping!!! I started with a $700 line of credit which has increased to a credit line of just under $3,000 due to the fact that I pay more than my minimum and I pay on time. Lately though in the past 5 months I have sometimes not received a billing statement. I am becoming very suspicious of this company because I receive all of my other bills from my other creditors. I believe Fingerhut is trying to bait me into doing online automatic recurring payments from my checking account! There is absolutely no way I would trust them with my bank account if I can't even trust them with sending me a bill in the mail. I'm seriously considering severing all ties with this predatory company. It's easier and much cheaper just to shop Amazon or Walmart. Goodbye Fingerhut. You've lost a GREAT customer.

NOTHING about my life has changed & no other businesses have been given permission to do a credit check during this duration with Fingerhut. I went from mid 500s to high 500s down to LOW 500s. I would NOT recommend especially if you’re like me & started with no credit history! Due to a glitch in Fingerhut's system, they overtook 300$ when making a $35.00 payment. I thought it would be a simple process but instead, we are going on two weeks without a refund. The 1st rep said 3-5 business days. Then I received an e-mail saying it could be 11-14 business days. And then another e-mail stating it could be 30 business days for a refund. Requested a supervisor and waited almost 3 days and no one called. Finally got a supervisor just to be told the refund processor is a 3rd party and there is nothing they can do about it. Then requested the corporate office number which by the way is ** and was met by a receptionist who asked for a name of who I needed to speak to, which I told her I was not provided that and she said, "Well this is a 3 party company and I would need a name." I then said, "So not only has Fingerhut taken my money but now I can't even file a complaint." To which she hung up on me.
I called back, she hung up on me again. I called back a 3rd time and she sighed and said, "As I stated I need a name." I called Fingerhut to speak to another supervisor who then said they cannot transfer me or provide a name for who I would need to speak with. Contacted the corp office again and she sent me to an executive rep customer service who did not answer. That was 4 hours ago and still have not heard anything back. I would recommend never using this company, as they don't take ownership nor do they have any sympathy for their issue. I am at a lost and don't know what else to do. If you need to buy things on payment plan, use HSN or one of the other places. Fingerhut also overcharges for shipping and for the item itself. An item that is normally $50 like a tablet is $100 on there. Hope this helps.

I refuse to do so, since they set the standard of opening the initial account under Freshstart. And not once ever disclosing other requirements after the fact.
I may as well as to stay with Freshstart, at least that was somewhat functional. I sign into my Fingerhut account, and the first thing it does is remind me that I have $300.00 credit line available. but Webbank refuses to honor their promise of credit. Even though by use they established a credit line prior, my credit score has increased significantly since that time. No derogatories at all. I tend to believe that Fingerhut is owned by Webbank, and are violating the FCR. Especially when they send out notices were temporarily increasing your credit limit, just make a purchase in this x amount, and the increase will stay, if you do nothing the credit line will drop back down. That's wrong. Because it requires a payment for a credit limit increase in which you never asked for, and if you happen to make a purchase, that doesn't meet the purchase threshold, it will report a drop in credit limit, thus harming a consumer's credit score.

I been a customer for about 2 years now and never forget to make my monthly payments. They have charged my account once or even twice more a month. If you make a payment before the due date, they will not credit your account and if you do have the payment arrangement on reoccurring they will take the payment you’ve made the reoccurring payment and the due date payment charging you 3 times (which is considered theft if you do it!). I went through that two or three times before I contact Fingerhut to ask if they would turn the reoccurring payment off, it taken them three different payments before they agreed to turn the reoccurring off! Well you know I finally see how to turn it off myself and they still haven’t turned it off, but they sent me an email saying no more payments will be took from my bank!
I turned it off and never turned it back on because off the times they’ve already took unauthorized payment and made it so I would have to make one single payment a month. That was last year 6 or 7 months ago! Guess what happened for the new year? On 01/06/2019 to be paid on 02/01/2019, I was supposed to set up a payment for $87.59, two times as much as my minimum payment due. On 02/01/2019 I had paid Fingerhut $65. I go to my bank's website to check my balance and see Fingerhut has hit me again causing overdraft and returned payment fees with my bank and credit card company! I made Fingerhut refund my money back to my account because they had no right taking it unauthorized.
The reoccurring payments are not active, this customer service rep tells me I had it activated but magically isn’t showing on my account, then tells me it is off. Then rushed me off the phone. They are stealing right in front of your face, there is a way to find how and where the actual reoccurring payment arrangement was setup. So I will take it from there, even though they charge outrageous prices on inferior products they had my business. Stealing from me when I am trying to make things better for myself and their business, see they do it to so many people they are rich (wealthy!).

I have been a Fingerhut customer for a year next month on the 5th. I would pay on time all the time. Never missing a payment I started noticing Fingerhut was taking more money on the due date! I would pay with the once option, I would contact them to refund my money and delete this reoccurring payment option which Fingerhut would tell me that they deleted it but the next month it would happen again! Sometimes Fingerhut would take the minimum payment amount of $45.99 three times a month resulting in me contacting them to refund the extra payments they would try to take! I would ask why they have not turned off the reoccurring payment option off again and again!
I finally found out how to do it myself. Now, no extra money is being taken out every month now until! Feb. 01, 2019 I pay Fingerhut $65 instead of the $45.99 I pay monthly now. Where I was calculating how I can pay off all my credit cards in 4 months. I paid a different card a undisclosed amount for this month by banking account (How I pay all my cards!) only to see the payment was returned, remember I calculated every payment I wanted to pay all my accounts. Just to see that the payment was returned due to insufficient funds and a extra $30 payment return fee, “How, I say”, well somehow FINGERHUT took a extra $87.59 causing my other payment be insufficient on the same day of the $65 payment I sent FINGERHUT.
I called my bank and told them that the payment was not authorized by me and they are only supposed to to be paid once a month, they told me to contact FINGERHUT which I did and asked them to refund me my money and how did it happen which I got no response. Because of FINGERHUT I am now behind of what I was trying to do to pay all card within 4 to 5 months! What do I do because FINGERHUT owes me actually $117.59 because of the $30 charge I collected by FINGERHUT withdrew an extra $87.59! WHAT DO I DO NOW?

FINGERHUT MADE HORRIBLE MISTAKE THAT DAMAGED MY CREDIT - I order Christmas items from their November catalog. I ordered the items in December through the website and I then called to confirm that the catalog number was applied. It was important to me to confirm this because the payments were deferred until April. I was assured by the representative that my catalog number was applied. I started receiving notifications from Fingerhut to make a payment in January and I called them. I was told that none of my items had a catalog number applied to them. The second rep asked me if I had the catalog number, again I gave it to her. I was assured by the second rep that the number had been applied and my items were deferred to April.
Again, I received notifications in the middle of January about my late payment, guess what, I called again. I was advised by the third rep that the catalog number had not been applied. She told me that she would apply the number and items deferred. On February 3, 2019, received a notification that I was late, spoke with a 4th rep and was advised the catalog number was declined. Fingerhut declined. Why would you decline a catalog number that you advertised? She told me there was nothing she could do and I should go ahead and make my payment. I told her I deferred the payment because I wanted to pay in April of 2019 when I received a paycheck.
Now, I have a 30 hit on my credit for a late payment for products I was told was deferred for over a month. This is unbelievable. I will never do business with them again and if I were anyone out there I would not do business with this company. I am probably not the only one that this has happened to. Please know that I am taking this further. I also just discovered that I am not the only one that this has happened to. They should receive "0" stars.

No refund as of today of $30 for my down payment for. I was told on January 28, 2019 at 2:23pm by a female customer service representative that my refund of $30.00 will be refunded to the card I made the payment with on February 7, 2019 or before this date! As of February 7, 2019 I have yet to receive my refund!! I was told when I cancelled my order to call back the following Monday due to it being New Year's weekend, to request a refund for the down payment amount in which I did. That was on December 31, 2018. I was then told they had processed my request for the $30 refund and it would take 10-15 business days to receive my refund, that was on December 31, 2018.
On January 2, 2019 I called customer service again to confirm my request had in fact been processed only to find out it was NOT! At this point I was informed that refunds took up to 30 BUSINESS DAYS not 10-15 business days! I smell bull! I'm guessing this is just something your customer care representatives are required to tell people to hush them up and hope they just forget about the money. Well I'm damn sure not that person! I made a HUGE mistake by ordering from Fingerhut "Fresh Start" and once I had realized how stupid I was being I cancelled my order!!
This company is a freaking joke!! Did I receive my order, of course after about a damn month and that was AFTER my down payment had cleared! Oh make sure you got the correct billing and shipping address because play hell trying to get your order if your address has changed recently oh and by the way My refund has taken 30 PLUS days and STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THAT $30 BACK. #furiouscustomer

I have never been so irritated with a company I have done business with in my life. I go to place my first order, but previously I had moved, and needed to change my address with them. They would not allow me to change my address, so I had to hunt down my order at an old address. Unbelievable. Then I had to place my order 4 times, before it was actually taken. Then, half of my order never showed up. Thankfully they refunded my money for the items that never showed up.
To make matters worse, I call up to make a payment on my account and they would not take a payment, even after 3 customer service reps. I now have to wait for a supervisor to call me back in order to make a payment. I can't even make a payment on the website because it tells me my information is associated with another website. It makes absolutely no sense at all. I don't owe a lot, but I am an honorable individual and I pay my debt. I know that they report to the credit bureaus. I am not about to have such a crummy company ruin my credit because they don't want to take a payment. DON'T do business with this company. They don't even deserve any stars. They have been overcharging me my minimum payment and when I call to ask about it Customer service is very rude and impatient. I'm a senior citizen so I tend to ask questions more, especially if I am unable to understand them. I asked the guy who was helping me for his name and supervisor's name and he would hassle me and would not give me a name or number to reach them. I asked him several times and he refused.
Finally he gave me a name that sounds made up and a number to a survey company that had nothing to do with Fingerhut. Very dissatisfied with how Fingerhut lets their customer service people talk to their customers. Something needs to be done and better training skills. I will soon close my account and never use their services again. Be very careful when using autopay because they are real quick to double charge you and then make an excuse as to why it was charged. I've already called my bank to let them know to not allow Fingerhut make charges on my account.

Most items I buy are very expensive and I make sure I pay at a minimum of 80% of the bill but my credit score isn’t reported or lowered because I called and yelled at the people who report to the credit bureaus...total rip-off. I purchased a crock pot and a bedding set with two pillows as well on the FreshStart program. My crock pot arrived broken. One of the pillows was not included on the order. I called and they said a return label was sent with the item already. I went to the post office to ship the item and was told that the label was not sufficient and I would have to pay shipping. Mind you, I had to take time off work to do this. I called again about it and was told that a new label would be sent. I was also repeatedly informed I could not add the missing pillow to the order.
TWO WEEKS LATER the label comes in. They call me to take payment for the broken crock pot. I pay for the broken crock pot, and ask again about the pillow. I am told I cannot add it because it is a FreshStart account. I asked if I could just purchase the pillow cash since a mistake was made and it was not included in the order like it should have been. I am told yes but I would be paying $14.99 more in shipping! I felt a reasonable accommodation for all the time taken off work, the phone calls, and the payment for the broken crock pot I've never been able to use is that they offer to waive my shipping on the pillow which SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Absolutely no accommodations are made to correct their errors, the timing, and poor customer service. Still no pillow, still no crock pot, and I am still paying for this. RUN AWAY. DON'T BUY FROM THEM. THEY HAVE NO CONCERN FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. AWFUL. I will go out of my way to tell people to stay away because it was such a bad experience.

It will be about 2 to 3 weeks before it even gets a label to ship, and then take days to leave the warehouse. The website claims that purchase with a debit card clears in 24 hours, it will take about a week, an EBT(electronic bank transfer) takes weeks to clear. That is something that is instant money transfer. So why does it take a week, they don't know. The most common response you will get from a representative. I had the worse experience possible in dealing with your company. I first ordered a Canada Coat from you guys which went over the spending limit and I was happy to pay the difference. When my coat arrived and I tried it on it was the wrong size and color. I quickly wrapped it back up and sent it back the next day. It took a while for the item to be registered as returned even after I received a return received receipt. The money was slow about entering the account which was ok. The coat was out of stock so I had to order something else. I found a pair of boots I really wanted and even bought a Carhartt coat to match in anticipation of its arrival. I placed the order online and waited for my boots that never came. I checked on-line to find that I had no order status or tracking number.
After calling customer service they told me that I had to order on-line. So I did. They told me the money I sent in would not be credited to my down payment but subtracted from the back end of the payment amount. This bothered me but I agree because I really wanted the boots. I paid the money and the difference. The customer representative assured me that the order had been placed. I received an e-mail telling me the order had been received yet days later the boots did not arrive and there was no tracking number. After calling a twice I was told that I had to wait 24 to 48 hours to make another order. This seemed really unfair so I asked to speak to a supervisor. The first time I was hung up on and the second time the rep gave me a hard time until I finally reached a supervisor.
The supervisor, named Wanda, spoke in a very condescending tone and I knew she was searching for a way to deny me rather than help me even though I was willing to pay for the boots. After suffering through what I knew would not be in my favor, she told me that since the first item was returned I couldn't go over the limit even if I paid the difference like I did the first time. It didn't matter that I was trying to spend more money. She would not make a exception regardless of all the trouble I had been through. She said she would rather give me a refund.
I been going through this since November 28th. This is now January 3, 2019. I have called many times and paid twice and still haven't been treated like I am a valued customer. All I wanted was: Carhartt Men’s 6" Internal Met Guard Boot - Wide. Item Number: NBHGZ. Options: Black,13. I now have a $225.00 coat that is no good. I am severely dismayed and disappointed. That is why I feel it is my obligation to report my horrible experience, to keep this from happening to other people and potential customers.

Fingerhut is an absolute, total scam! I'm attempting to rebuild my credit so I decided to apply for an account. I was approved and bought a new phone. My first payment was due yesterday for $27.96. I made a $40.00 payment...yesterday. Today I check my account to make sure it's posted and not only has the $40.00 payment not posted, they've added an additional $15.00 to my balance. The payment area shows a payment made but my due date is still showing that I have a payment due yesterday. WTF??
So, I call them to see if I can figure out what's going on. The first person checked my account and then put me on hold to see what she could find out. About 1 1/2 minutes into that and I'm disconnected. Okay, I call back. This person tells me that payments are due by 5 pm on your due date and since I made my payment at 5:23...it was late and they added a late fee. Again, WTF!?
I asked where I could find that info in the Terms and Agreements and she kept cutting me off to keep telling me that it was late. After a couple of minutes of me telling her how that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard and that I can't find that info anywhere, she says she's going to reverse the late fee charge. I then ask her why my 40.00 payment isn't being reflected on my balance and she tells me it takes up to 48 hours to reflect on my balance. It didn't take that long for their bogus late charge to reflect on my balance!
Even though she says she reversed the charges, I still press her about where does it say there is a cutoff time in the terms. Just because I can't find it doesn't necessarily mean it's not there right? I mean, I could be missing it. I did bring up the search tool and searched due date, due, 5 and five to see if any of those would bring up that info... It did not. So anyway, she says she's going to go find that info and needs to put me on hold. I was on hold for about 2 minutes and once again, was disconnected. Imagine that. As of me writing this post, the supposed reversal still is not reflecting in my account but I guess that one will need 48 hours to show up too. It really makes me wonder how many people they do this to that don't question their tactics?

I have used Fingerhut for three years. With poor credit, and it is a poor credit company, I use it to buy gift items at Christmas and birthdays, that I may not afford otherwise. That's a plus for me. And my credit score is improving. However, although my experiences have mostly been okay, I have had instances that sour those good experiences.
My first purchase was a room full of curtains. All the panel pairs had one curtain shorter than the other. Following purchases included wrong sizes. I bought both granddaughter's boots. One pair came a size too small, and the other pair came in a size 4 (according to the box) when I ordered a size 2. The size 4 actually fit her size 2 feet. Don't buy anything with sizes!
I've also ordered a SensorPedic Contour Pillow. It was a SensorPedic. But not a contour. I needed another one anyway, so I didn't even try to return it. In desperate need of a vacuum, I found a fairly priced vacuum available on Fingerhut. But when I checked out the item was 'out of stock'. I ended up buying a vacuum, which I love, at highly inflated prices. The shipping really seems overpriced, as are the most of their items.
Returns or credits are next to impossible. I've always had my items delivered, pretty much right on time. I have had one item that took four days longer, and it said delivered on the correct day. I realize many items are shipped from the manufacturer, but sometimes it feels like the manufacturers send overstocks or irregulars to Fingerhut customers.
They never give deals to longtime customers, they never give deals on shipping, they never lower your interest rate, regardless of the time or use of your account. The best they give you is an increased credit line to spend more money. Contacting customer service is a nightmare, and in my case I got a form letter that had nothing to do with my problem. Fortunately, my girl decided to put on the boots, and we found they fit. I'd say 75% of my experiences have been good, but if you are going to order from Fingerhut very often, expect to run into an resolved problem at some point. I would suggest you research the item, and if it is available on a store shelf, it's just easier to return them to a store.

Ok, I call in and the agents are so rude and wanted me to verify all my information including last four. I asked why and to speak to sup. She wanted to tell me I could not speak to one. Finally got one and he asked the same questions. He too was rude and when I said I would file a complaint he just laughed and talked over me. I said I was recording and his demeanor changed.
I asked to speak to his sup and was first told no. I asked if he was refusing a customer to speak to a sup? He said no. I was transferred again to be asked the same questions again and overtalked. I told him they were frauds. I told him I was not asked to verify anything before they took my money and I wanted it refunded. He cackled. I asked to speak to his supervisor and was told he was the manager. I was like, "Oh, but somebody is above you." He continued to say no. I advised that I would be filing a complaint for fraud and theft. We will see.

Hello, I was going to buy a Christmas present for my son. This was my first time using Fingerhut. I qualified for their FreshCredit. So Saturday I put in an order for a gaming system. Mind you, I called their customer service (about a week before) to double check before I placed the order that I would only be charged $100 and the rest would be on a payment plan. So placed it on Saturday, checked my banking account... and I was charged $500! And there was no way I could call customer service OR email them—they are not available on the weekends. So now I will have to call on Monday and hopefully I can cancel my purchase. The main reason I was going to use them was because I am new widow and wanted to give my son a nice Christmas gift. Now if I don’t get a refund, I will be in dire financial straits.

As with all my orders it was early. Thank you Fingerhut for helping reclaim my credit and for having the items I need.

I sent them back and promptly followed all the instructions on the return slip. When I called to find out about my order they still hadn't processed my order. When I called to cancel my order and get my money back, I find out that the 30.00 deposit I won't be getting the full amount back. I ordered over $200 worth of items from them and they shipped it to my old address even after I had called and gave them my new address two times. I ordered the items on November 12th and here I am on November 20th still waiting for my stuff that the post office says is being forwarded back to the sender in another week's time.
I've already been on the phone with Fingerhut customer service reps 5 times since I placed my order trying to fix my address but they are so rude. They just keep giving me the run around - very unprofessional. And they have these very strong accents that make it so hard to understand what they're saying. All they do is keep repeating themselves and when you try to get them to explain things they just blow you off and try to get you confused by saying a bunch of irrelevant things that make no sense. I've even been hung up on various times and don't even bother asking for a supervisor or manager because they'll just put you on hold and never come back.
This is by far the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Finally today I decided to cancel the order and ask for my refund of $60 that I paid for down payment since my credit limit was only $180 and the customer service rep is now saying that I only paid $30 so they will only refund that amount so I basically got ripped off for $30. I have proof from my bank statement that they took out $60 from my account so they clearly ripped me off. Stay away from this company if you care about your money and your sanity because they will ruin your day very fast.

I ordered over $250 worth of items and somehow they shipped to an old address that I have not lived at for YEARS. I changed the address and sent it to my correct one, I know I did this. They refuse to send me a refund because I “waited too long to inform them.” That’s not a good enough excuse. It was two months. These items were early Christmas shopping gifts so I didn’t think of it again until much later when my sister asked if I ever got my items.
The lady on their customer service was so rude. I had no idea they were allowed to be so hateful and rude but they are. And good luck speaking to a manager or supervisor because she said that they would say the same thing. She put me on hold to “go get him” but came back 5 min later to say he was busy. Yeah right! She never went to go get him. I am so outraged. This has hurt my credit score so badly. I would have most definitely paid for my items had I received them. This has never happened to me in my life. Well... I've been a good customer for a year 1/2 now. Never missed one payment, always a few days early. I always sent money orders. For some reason I sent my payment out this month like normal same amount like I always do. They kept calling me telling me they haven't received my payment yet and it's late. I said, "No you should have gotten it already." So they asked me to email the money order stub so I did and they also asked me if I would make another payment. I said, "No, why would I pay you twice if I already paid you." So I called to track my money order. They said it was received and cashed on November 9th... so they took my money and are saying they didn't receive it. I want to know where's my money?? They told me I needed to pay a late fee now totaling to $30 or my credit was going to be affected.
I already paid them $25. So I paid again so I didn't have any problems. But still where's my money?? They can't tell me. I emailed them again, now they are saying they received a money order on November 2 and it wasn't for the same amount on my money order stub. Humm, that's weird. I never mailed a money order out any time before the November 2 and my amount is always the same. So I asked them to please send me proof of this and they are now saying they been trying to call me for more information. I have Verizon never once gotten a phone call, it's not even on my call log. And another thing if let's say they received a payment on the 2nd why didn't they put that on my account. It's not there. Lies, lies and more lies!! Has anyone had any problems like this? I ordered a HP Laptop on June 22, 2018. The item was on back order so I did not receive it until July 20, 2018. I decided I did not need to returned in, un-opened, according to the return instructions that were provided in the shipping box. Fingerhut acknowledges receiving it on September 4, 2018. They kept billing me for this item and when I called and told them I had returned according to the instructions that came with the computer the representative told me that all electronic products must be returned within 30 days of the day the order was placed.
First of all due to it being on back-order that was impossible. Second of all they told me the return policy can be found on their website. However the printed material in the shipping box states there is a 30-day return policy, it does not say anything along the lines of "please refer to our website for information about our return policy". The representative on the phone could barely speak English, and kept asking me if there was anything else she could help me with. When I asked her to explain what she meant by "anything else" as she clearly had not helped me in any way, she just kept repeating, "Is there anything else I can help you with?"
Fingerhut shipped the laptop to me a second time. I called UPS and told them I was not accepting the shipment so they came and picked it up and sent it back to Fingerhut. Fingerhut continues to send me statements for a computer that I do not have. I wrote a letter to the company CEO and received a reply from Vi **, in which he/she acknowledged the facts as I have described, and still insisting that I owe them $600 for a laptop computer that "was disposed of" per the letter from Vi **. My next step is with the Illinois Attorney General. In my opinion it is a crime to insist a person pay for something that they do not have and that was disposed of by the company. Hopefully they donated it to a school.

I ordered a Bulova watch back at the end of September. As of October 8, it said the shipping label had been created. It sat at that status for several more weeks, so I called Fingerhut Customer Service 3 times to figure out why my item hadn't shipped from the distributor. Only after the third call did they inform me I had to submit an affidavit. I did, and received a reply today (the 30th) saying it showed the item was both ordered AND shipped on October 8, and that I would be charged for the item, as their records showed it was delivered, even though the tracking link they provided clearly showed USPS was still awaiting the item.
This defies logic, of course, so I called and spoke to "May" -- after being put on hold for an inordinately long time, she informed me I would have to file a police report. I told her the item was never shipped, so there was no missing or stolen item to be investigated. She interrupted me with "Mm hmm, mm hmm, thank you very much, thank you very much" and would not let me finish speaking.
Customer Service is abhorrent and not at all helpful. The "Dear Valued Customer" response to my affidavit that I received was obviously churned out of some database. Everyone should do themselves a favor and avoid Fingerhut like the Plague. Got a letter in the mail from these misfits about 5 weeks ago that basically was a ruse to get an immediate payment which I made. It stated the account would then be current and up to date. My new statement came yesterday and to my surprise the payment was posted, but according to these fools the account is still past due. The payment I made was done before the due date so obviously the left hand has no clue what the right is doing, and it doesn't care either. Forget calling, you can't understand what half these people are saying since they are either Indonesian or Pilipino. Let's farm jobs out to maximize profit and dollars. Since I have not heard back from these fools yet I took the letter and latest statement to Legal Aide and found out they are trying to double dip on late fees.
It is unethical and in some states illegal. I will make the regular payment but in no way shape or form their additional late fee. This company already has a major class action suit heading to federal courts, so obviously they have learned nothing. If any more develop, sign up. This outfit should not be allowed to do business as they prey on credit challenged people and abuse their rights every turn of the corner. So I called the 800 number to have them send me a shipping label. I was told to call back Monday through Friday. I made a comment that "what's the point, I might as well close it" but never officially said to close it, well the rep went ahead and closed it after the call anyway, which drastically affected my credit score from having a long-term credit line removed.
I have tried several times several hours on several calls for them to reopen the account which they say they can't do and I have to reapply, which in credit terms makes it a New account and not an established account. I asked them to prove to me that I said to close the account and no one can seem to find the recording and REFUSE to reopen it. I call the executive level customer service also by the way does not care to do anything and all of a sudden she says that the Supervisor listened to the call and said I said to close it. I started out very excited with this company and did well. Paid on time. Credit was given fairly fast and had no problems. Once I got over the $1200 mark they suddenly started having issues with deductions when I paid. I was paying a set amount we had discussed over the due amount monthly more than the due. The date got changed from when I could pay it on my once a month pay date. I took three pay cycles to get that fixed but they never removed the fees. They added charges for an NSF they caused which was in them when the payment date was changed without my knowing. The credit went up and those issues repeated again. It took longer to fix and they never gave me full credit for the first issue. By the time I had $1900 showing in debt most was after my last Christmas I spent with them I and that was after they had added a ton of interest and other fees.
I had called over 89 times asking them to fix the issues with payments I have made. They admitted in emails and calls that my billing date was rolling over into a late status by one day every month because someone failed to fix the date as asked. It had been fixed at one point but when they adjusted the credit it reset and they didn’t bother to fix it as it was clearly noted and shows that at one time was fixed. This is somehow my fault as the client. They refused to do it then. I also was denied a reimbursement of all the late fees and any help to lower the bill hundreds of dollars. I would have only owed these people about $480 at one point if this was done properly. Instead I went 2 years with rolling late account fees and interest on $1000 instead of them deduction my payments of $180, $106 $99 for months in end. I mean even at $99 for a year it would have paid down 1700 a good bit.
They still claim I owe them that and more now. They never allowed the lost wage or medical care to be applied when I asked for it in January of the year right after I ordered. I got very ill and needed oral surgeries. I was denied that twice. This company is not fair to the people who pay for those services. I carry a bad credit balance in this account when they have been paid and offer protection for your credit and account but don’t allow you to access it. Scam is all they are. Do not open an account there. Find a credit union. It is hard to start credit but these places are rip offs. Trust me. I learned the hard way.

A refund that I am still waiting for went from 3 business days to 3 to 5 business days to 20 business days to 3 to 5 business days back to 20 business days. Then I asked, "Why has the number of business days switched between each of your reps?" She responded that she is very sorry for the inconvenience and that they need to be retrained and the reason why it's 20 business days is because of the type of debit card I used so then I knew that she was just fishing at that point. I opened this account with the only intention of improving my credit. I got approved for a 700$ credit limit in June. My first purchase was a baby bouncer for my little girl. The total was a little over 30$ than the typical everyday price but I had found a coupon so it made it reasonable, but then the shipping was crazy high. Like almost 20$?! I bought it anyway because I knew I needed to purchase something to open a line of credit. It arrived maybe 10 days later. I assembled it with mostly no problems, I say mostly because one of the holes didn't quite line up correctly on the base, so I'm not sure if it was actually a faulty product from the manufacturer and offered to Fingerhut for a discount or maybe they were just made like that.
With some serious force I got it to connect. Well, they didn't make me pay a payment the following month but I sent in 25$ anyway. The following month after that, I actually had a payment schedule set up and they wanted me to pay 9$ a month until it was paid off. Well I paid 50$ the following month, because heck, why not?! The month after that they gave me a 500$ increase on my credit with them. I've purchased one more item since then and it arrived the week after I ordered it. I ordered on one of their free shipping days, and the item I wanted was actually 5$ cheaper than at Walmart.
Honestly I haven't even opened the box, because it's a Christmas present for my friend's child but I'm sure it's fine, it's like a tent. Not much you could mess up there. My credit has gone up at least 20 points since opening the account with them after just 4 months. After reading other reviews though I don't plan on ever making a big purchase, too risky in my opinion. I'll stick to under 100$ purchases and keep on improving my credit.

My purchase was for $80.00. There is not enough selection, and wide variety of products. I will tell you the truth. There was a Kaito Emergency portable radio that I always wanted, and I wanted to buy it along with the bath towels, and when I ordered it, they gave me an order number. A day later, they went along and canceled my radio receiver order, but still kept on sending me the towels. I called them up many times to ask why is this order been canceled? They told me that they were out of stock. Okay, so I told them, "If it's out of stock, why does the website say it's in stock? And they tried to correct it and they let me place a second order for that emergency radio, and the same thing happened. They canceled the order.
I wish they would keep their website accurate and have more products available to buy and quit canceling my orders of the things I want to have from them. This month I went somewhere else outside this company and placed an order for radio, and it got here in the couple of days. Now I have to call in the order instead of placing the order online, so I won't run into this. I was advised (by my maintenance team) that the legs of one of the bar stools would have to be cut to make the hardware (nails) align with new holes needed to be drilled!! I am amazed at what some companies will do and attempt to engage the average consumer. I've contacted Fingerhut repeatedly with no compromise. This company did nothing to help me out with my issue. They never contacted me back to explain or say sorry for their customer service representative disrespect towards me. I was in the hospital and decided to open a new account with "Fingerhut", I went online and viewed all the products they had to offer. Now being in the hospital and being on medication, it was the smart thing not to order anything while in the hospital. I guess, I was going to buy a new JBL wireless speaker. I called as soon as, I got out and spoke with a customer service representative and the email below will explain when, happened. Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this!
"Attention Fingerhut customer service, I am what you would consider an extremely loyal customer. I was introduced to Fingerhut by 'amazon.com'. Now this being my first time ever ordering from your company you could say, I was extremely not pleased by the way, I was treated by the individuals that I was speaking to in the Philippines. After speaking with somebody from customer service, I informed them that I did not want to keep my first order which was a 'JBL Flip 4 Portable Bluetooth Speaker'. After informing this person that, I decided to change my order and go with (Western Digital My Passport 3TB External Hard Drive) for my first-time purchase with Fingerhut.
The customer service representative became argumentative due to the fact that I wanted to cancel my first order and place another as if it was taken away from whatever this person was doing at the time instead of assisting me and showing great customer service for a first-time customer. Not only did this person raise her voice at me but then lied when I confronted the person on the phone and ask, "Did you just raise your voice at me," and yell at me the person who said no. I ended up hanging up phone call with this person and called back and asked for sales. After going back online and trying to place an order online it gave me a error code which told me that only one order can be placed on my account.
So, I contacted customer service. They transferred me to sales and I went ahead and I, placed my first order with them on the phone giving them my debit card and my information and giving them permission to place my order over the phone. After placing my order, I asked the sales representative to send me a confirmation to my email to show me that the order was placed by her over the phone. Your, sales representative informed me that a confirmation email will be sent out to me. Since writing this email to you, I still as of yet to receive any information indicating my purchase that was placed over the phone was ever made. I'm not sure if this is how your customer service works or how your customer service representatives are allowed to speak to your customers but you guys can do a lot better in the way you speak to your customers and how you treat them. Thank you."

My experience with Fingerhut has been fabulous and just as I expected. If you don't want to pay higher prices and interest, go buy the product outright rather than expecting to order it online for a small down payment and the ability to pay over time - especially from a company that specializes in credit building - at the same price you'd pay in a store. Fingerhut is basically an online rent-to-own center without the ability to return the products. As always, if you take the time to carefully read the terms, you'll have the right expectations going in.
If you pay your bills on time, and more than just the minimum, your credit improves. If you don't pay bills on time, or if you skate by with just minimum payments and a maxed-out account, your credit suffers. If you don't use the account for long periods of time, the company will reduce your credit limit as MANY credit card companies do. Spend 25% of your available credit, pay it off in 2 to 4 statements, and your credit will improve.
Many of the reviews here are indicative of poor credit management, which is why many (not all) should be disregarded. Fingerhut has always been wonderful to me, and they helped me get my credit back on track after a period of bad decisions. I will continue to use the service every few months just to keep the credit line open - and honestly some of their clearance prices on towels, sheets, etc. are pretty amazing!

I had no issues in the transition, although if you have to contact customer support; you will be met with broken English 3rd world country representatives (as most companies use these 3rd world countries). I've been respected and haven't had much issue in regards to speaking to them (maybe having to ask them to repeat themselves).
Now onto the products: I have purchased a few things from Fingerhut and have a CL of $1000.00. The products you get really depend on the seller. It's always a good idea to research the product and look for reviews (like on Youtube) before purchasing. The prices tend to fall on the heftier side and returning anything as with most places is a hassle. The website itself is easy to navigate, handling your account is a breeze with the mobile app or using online. They have a wide variety of well known products from retailers like Nike, Kruger, Black and Decker tools, and more. Overall: Great place to build your credit score 4/5. Prices are kind of ridiculous 2/5. Customer support can be a hit and miss 2/5. Website accessibility 5/5. App accessibility 5/5. Payments 5/5.

The issues come up when one forgets or cannot afford to make a payment. I FORGOT to pay last night, and this MORNING I receive an unprofessional and predatory call from a woman in Jamaica that could not even pronounce my name correctly and barely spoke English. If you get an offer in the mail from these scoundrels, tear it up and throw it where it belongs THE TRASH. I received one from them 6 weeks ago and the worst mistake of my life was accepting it. Generous line of credit, but come to find out it was only because everything of theirs is overpriced compared to other retailers including their own sister website. When you call with a concern, you talk with someone from either the Philippines or Indonesia and must repeat yourself 20 times or if you email them, about 50% of the time they don't reply at all. And don't ask to speak to a supervisor, they avoid answering any and all calls apparently.
I bought a gas grill from them only to find out the manufacturer has it listed on their own website for $60.00 less and would have shipped it for $10.00 less too. When I did finally get to speak with someone about this, the answer was 'They advertise it as a loss leader'. And tried to sell me a set of china before I shut them up to pay attention to why I called. Charbroil told me the price of the grill has been that since December and sells well, and it is not a 'loss leader' So not only do they mark up the stuff insanely, they mark up shipping as well. And will not credit the difference or do anything for you. But the worst is, roughly 11 days before your payment is due, the robocalls start daily at all times to any phone number they have. And nowhere in any of their paperwork is this mentioned or disclosed.
If you block them or send them a cease and desist order like I did, they email you telling you that your credit line has been suspended but you can continue to shop using a credit card. Give me a break, I wouldn't buy anything from them if someone else paid for it. Just for the record, there are two class action suits pending against them in NY and Illinois because of robocalls and two other issues. If another is ever opened in my state you can for sure bet I will be joining it. A second or third rate retailer preying on the consumer, and when you are smart enough to call them out on it, you are the bad guy. I will pay them off and be done with them. I thought it would be over; that I would pay for the sheets and be done with them.
However... The very next day, I received another harassing phone call about my "unpaid bill" (the computer and the sheets); I asked that they not call me again until their accounts and their phone people were in agreement about what I (did not) owe. I have only had to call once because a bed set was missing a sheet but they sent me it with no problem. Other than that I email them and receive a response within 24 hours. I would recommend them.

On April 30th, I went to Fingerhut's website to look for an office desk. When I found it, I put in my email address to start an account. The system informed me that my email address was already being used. I requested a new password to get into and found it had my wife's name on the account. I spoke to her about this and she denied setting this up. I emailed the company to request this account closed or cancelled. I received an email back informing me to call Customer Service to have it cancelled.
Today, 5/2 @ 12:45 pm CST, I called Fingerhut to have a customer service rep cancel the account. Instead she kept wanting my whole ssn to "verify the account". I provided her their customer's number showing on the site and she still kept asking for my ssn. I refused to provide it and informed her that this an unauthorized account that I want closed. Again, she stated that she cannot close without verifying my full ssn. I asked for a supervisor, she stated that a supervisor will explain the same and proceeded to try and talk over me. I informed her that she is unwilling to assist me, I will file a complaint with the FTC and ended the call.

They sent me a computer that did not work properly and then charged me $34.94 to send it back. They said because it was returned in good condition I had to pay for the shipping to me and the return shipping even though the laptop itself looked in good shape. Every time you would go to run a program the CPU and Disk % would shoot up to 100% and run insanely slow and this was just a cheap little dinky computer, it was one that should have been able to run Microsoft Word without a single problem. DO NOT buy from them. If you ever have a problem they will not make it right, even if it is their fault and then they charge you for their broken merchandise.
