I applied for a PPP loan on April 5, 2021 and signed the loan docs on April 15, 2021. And then, nothing, until yesterday when I received an email stating that I was declined. What?! Why?! After I have received an SBA number and signed the docs? I sent an email with questions but after reading these complaints I have very little hope that my issue will be resolved or even responded to. The program is now depleted and I was sure that I was okay. My experience with Smartbiz has left me with a sour taste in my mouth. Hopefully, this issue can be resolved and my business can receive the funds it so desperately needs.

I applied for a PPP loan with SmartBiz on March 24. I received an application number and it said 100% complete. I emailed several times for an update. No response. I call only to get a recording that doesn't allow you to speak with a person. I originally went on Kabbage to apply but they referred me to Smartbiz. I am beginning to think this is a scam. They now have all my business information and I cannot get an answer on my PPP loan. Do not use this company!

I hate companies that do not respond to customer inquiries. These guys are a joke. They quickly processed my PPP application and sent loan docs for signature. I signed immediately and returned to them. That was 3 weeks ago. Not the "couple of days to funding" promised. No answer to multiple emails.. just dead air. A simple "we are working on it" would be nice. But I guess that's asking too much. I will not use them again and recommend that you steer clear.

No one answers...they tell you to send an email, which I have done all of the above for the last 3 weeks. They are hurting my business by not responding.

I have an application that I sent in since 3/12/21 (over 1.5 months ago) for my ministry for a PPP loan. I have sent over 6 emails and today I get an email that they can't submit it because "Improper guarantor identity authentication". Mind you, you have to submit countless of documents in order to verify identity and it would have been zero issues for me to send them whatever they needed to verify. This denial is just a blow off. I understand you have countless of applications, but now they are just writing people off. Our ministry helps the homeless and addicted people in the streets and we need all the help we can get. To get this kind of treatment is so disheartening, especially when you really need it to help others. I would love to be able to give a positive review, but no one will get the help they need through SmartBiz. :(

Close to 100 approved and FUNDED loans in 2 months. Their website says that they pay 7-10 business days after the loans are funded. Never received a payment. They have not responded to any of my emails.
Dear Deshayla,
We apologize for not being responsive to your emails.
Our payment terms on funded PPP loans are 30 days after SmartBiz Loans receives payment from the lender. This is described in the terms and conditions you accepted under the Company’s Marketing Partner Program Agreement: https://resources.smartbizloans.com/wp-content/uploads/SmartBiz_Partner-_Terms.pdf
Please note: Do not use the fee calculation information in the Partner Portal because it has not been updated to reflect the terms for the current PPP program. The calculations shown are based on our traditional SBA and term products.
Thank you for working with SmartBiz Loans to get your clients the funding they need.

Smart Biz Loans was the one to funded my first round PPP loan so I figured they would streamline the process for the second round PPP loan. I could not have been more mistaken. I have submitted my application 45 days ago and I’ve gotten not a single response on it. They haven’t even looked at the application once. It’s literally sitting just as if I just submitted the application after 45 days. What the heck is going on.
I’ve sent them probably about two dozen emails in that timeframe. I’ve only gotten one response and they said, "Oh you should hear back in about a day or so." A week later here we are and I’ve gotten nothing from them. It’s a pretty simple business, one owner, sole proprietorship. The application is pretty straightforward. I don’t understand what takes so long just to even look at the application and move along the process. It seems like they’re not even in business anymore because of the lack of response I’m getting. And the fact that my application hasn’t moved anywhere after 45 days this is completely unacceptable.

I was having trouble for months with the bank. Once I went to SmartBiz' website, I did it in less than a day. I got approved right away. I ended up getting the PPP. Their software is so savvy that you don't even need help. It's great. It's super easy and fast. I fell in love with it. They're very communicative via email. They don't drop the ball. They're constantly updating. That's something that I like, too. Working with them helped me pay rent. It also helped me keep one of my employees employed. I'm trying to refer people to SmartBiz. I did recommend another business, and they also got approved.

Applied for SBA PPP loan. The application seemed clear-I completed it as required. Every day I received an email for one more upload-even though I had completed the initial list. I assumed there would be an end...finally I was informed that it was reviewed and ready for the lender. For about a week I received a can email every other day and then NOTHING!
No explanation. No answer to emails. What a waste of valuable time-the company clearly knows there is a time limit, that as a small business in these very challenging times we are in need of a loan to stay in business. 3 weeks plus-I'm embarrassed I was so easily fooled. Looking back it seems like it was all automated. I'm a small business (vital to our community) but I'm guessing their profit is with bigger fish. Frustrating, discouraging, painful experience. (When you're barely hanging on, the lack of any apparent commitment to help is so hard to take...).

According to our records, it appears you applied for an SBA 7(a) loan not a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan. As of now, it appears you do not meet the minimum requirements for an SBA 7(a) loan through our bank partners.
If you were intending to apply for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan, you need to apply here:

I went online and I subscribed to SmartBiz, and I get emails, news and updates from them. Their signup process is much easier. It was faster, too. In the beginning, I kept getting declined and I didn't know what to do with all that government site but when I reached out to SmartBiz, they sent me an email and showed me exactly how to do it. It was really easy. I got a little grant of 1,000 and then I did a PPP because I have a quilting-sewing business and a craft. I started out three years ago and then in ‘19, I was starting to take off. I had to push it hard because I got closed in. I couldn't leave my home. I had to travel 1,000 miles to sell my quilts. So, I lost a lot of money in 2019.
Since working with SmartBiz, I can now buy more supplies to replenish my inventory. I'm starting out again to start making more product to sell, to replenish my product and then buy my Quilture that I was trying to do last year. A Quilture is thousands of dollars. SmartBiz really helped me a lot, and now I got a little pay check with the 3000 from the PPP loan.
You should subscribe to SmartBiz, read up on their site and contact them if you’re having any trouble. They will surely help you. It's a fantastic group of people. It's a good company for small businesses, and it will make you feel more comfortable even during the worst times. Through the pandemic, it’s helping small businesses build and to be successful, and helps guide them properly. They have been so awesome.

Then after I submitted, they were communicating and said that they received the application, it's in process, then they are reviewing it, and it's going to SBA. It was very helpful. On 3/27/21, after numerous unanswered emails, Bernard ** replied to tell me that it looked like my application would be denied because of "Improper Guarantor Identity Authentication." I asked him what that meant and he said, "Improper guarantor identity means the processing team was not able to verify that person." I replied, "How is that possible? I have uploaded all the personal required documents you've requested. From my Tax returns, Social Security card, Driver's License, to my Articles of Incorporation, I've uploaded everything you've asked for and then some. What else do you need from me? How can this issue be rectified?" Neither that email or any of my emails after, have been returned.

At this time we do not expect to require any further details from you." Since then I have sent several emails and never received any replies. This is my 2nd PPP loan. The first only took 7 days to receive funds. Biz owners should be treated with respect, communication is important in any business transaction.
When a company refuses to communicate we have serious issues with management within the company. Excuse don't work for biz owners especially when you're saying the same thing for months (not enough employees). California has plenty of unemployed workers looking for jobs. If you're consumed with so much business that is a good thing it means you're making $. Respect your clients and communicate with them. Sometimes we need to stay late and work for our clients. You should do the same for yours because this could cause further damage to your company. This is 2021. Social media can make or break your company. Have some integrity for your customers. If management has failed get rid of them before you no longer have a company. I have read 100's of bad reviews about your company and they all say the same thing. NO COMMUNICATION!
Remember March 31, 2021 all funding ends with SBA. If your application has already been submitted there isn't enough time to go elsewhere. SBA will be investigating your company for reasons why so many business were never funded and lawyers are all ready talking about class action. Not good for any business. Reply to your clients and they may become future clients. I'm hoping for the best for your company, lets get to work!

This has to be the worst customer service experience EVER. I have experienced EXACTLY what others have said here: NO ANSWERS, only auto respond, canned emails. Also advised from SmartBiz that multiple applications exist. I desperately replied to these emails that no other applications exist and get no response. I can't find a place to withdraw my application so that I can move on with another company. What I have learned is that if you have received your first draw in 2021, then you may not be able to proceed with a second draw because SBA doesn't recognize the loan number and they (SBA) are changing the rules on almost a daily basis. I have been among the sole proprietors to learn that I could apply and receive funds but maybe too late to receive the second draw which I could really use. Good Luck!

I'm going to be reporting to the SBA and BBB as I feel this company is ripping off a lot of people and encouraging more to apply when they haven't even funded the ones that applied first!

I applied in mid January for a first draw PPP loan thru SmartBiz, and their application process online seemed very easy and was not long and drawn out, so I had it completed quickly. However, since then I have received ONE non-generic, Non-automated response to the MANY emails I have sent inquiring about the status of my loan. All the rest on my multiple attempts to actually speak to a live person have been ignored. They don't let you get thru via phone and they don't respond to emails no matter how many you send or who at their office you include in copy.
It is now March 4th and I still am clueless about the status of my application and their generic "still in review" answer is not acceptable after this long of a Time goes by as I know for a fact the SBA has guidelines as to how long this process is supposed to take and I also see that there are reviews from other people who applied way after I did who have already been funded which makes zero sense to me!
So why can't I even get a legitimate answer as to what's going on with my application?? This is horrible customer service. The communication is non-existent outside of the couple of generic automated replies that I've gotten to my emails occasionally which have nothing to do with my specific loan. They're just a generic automated reply that they send out which is not acceptable. I also am not going to accept some bogus answer about them having to hire more staff when they should have known already what they were going to need being that this is not the first go-around with the PPP loans so being unprepared is also inexcusable in my opinion.
I need someone from Smart biz to respond to me and tell me exactly what steps they have taken so far on my loan because I'm not accepting this still in review nonsense after almost two months of waiting. In fact, if I don't get some answers pretty soon I am getting ready to reach out to the SBA myself to tell them about this problem because at this point I don't know what else to do since I can't get anyone to respond from Smart biz no matter how many emails I send.

Unable to reach a human. Received an email stating that I already had a PLP loan request and will not be able to move forward with my application unless I contact the other lender and cancel the PLP #. I sent an email to them stating I never applied with any other lenders for my 2nd round of PPP. Never received any sort of response to those emails, just automated emails stating that my loan application is still in process. I'm guessing that they are still moving forward with the application again but I have not a clue because there is no way to reach anyone at this company and they just keep sending these automated emails and not responding to my emails I'm sending them. Not satisfied at all with the customer service.
Dear Nicholas,
Your application was withdrawn because the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) advised another lender submitted a PLP loan application on your behalf and secured a PLP (Preferred Lender Program) approval number.
If you’d like to dispute that, please contact the SBA directly, since we do not receive any information from the SBA about who the lender is that submitted your PPP loan application, just that they will not process the application you submitted through us.
Thank you.

I applied for a PPP loan on 2/9. I was told that my application was pre-approved and would be reviewed and submitted within a week. It is now a month later with zero updates or communication from SmartBiz. They have no phone number, so I had to email them. After a few days, someone responded claiming that magically my application had just been fully approved and I would be getting the docs to sign in a couple days. After a week with again no change, I emailed again, this time the person acknowledged that there actually hadn't been a change since it was first submitted a month ago! She flat out lied. I highly recommend you use a different lender if you actually want to get a PPP loan before the funds run out.

I had not received any funds, no sba loan number or any contact from a lender. On the following day the online portal showed my loan reverted back to a in process status. I attempted to call and email to at least get a copy of the signed loan application. I have gotten no response or communication from smart biz. I also have not been assigned an account manager. This process is nerve wracking. I’m not sure if there was an issue with funding, if my application needs something more..or what. Highly disappointed

But SmartBiz has been very easy and user-friendly. I’ve never heard of them before and I don’t know how the consumer can reach out to them without getting into that bank. If SmartBiz goes out to the consumers and the consumers give them a try, they’ll have a lot of happy customers if they get the same service that I received.

This is my update for the horrible customer service received. LISTEN now! If you can go elsewhere please save yourself the time and stress. 1. You can't reach anyone by telephone. 2. They rarely respond to emails. 3. I'm convinced 99% of the positive reviews are fake and company written. I applied for my PPP Loan on January 21st. I couldn't reach anyone regarding my loan. About a month later I received a response by email from La'Toyia Johnson stating they have sent my loan over to the bank for review and I should be hearing back from the bank soon. Ok, So I waited about a week before reaching back out and still no reply from them or the bank. A week later, I login to my Smart Biz account and it states this:
"Thank you for applying for an SBA loan with SmartBiz. Unfortunately, we were unable to refer the loan application you started on January 21st, 2021 to one of our lenders due to: Improper guarantor identity authentication. If your business circumstances change regarding the above criteria, we hope you come back to start a new application with us! For any questions, contact us one of our Loan Specialists at 1-866-283-8726."
SO why was I told my application was sent to a bank? I called the number again, couldn't get through to anyone. Then they tell me if I want to update my information to reapply. Lol. This is a joke. It would make sense to me if there was an error or issue with my application for the company to reach out to me before cancelling my application and making me go through another month of waiting. Horrible customer service. As of today I'm working with a new lender. What a waste of time, and still haven't spoke to live rep!!!

Basically, this is a similar experience I had with K Lending. Your application goes into a black hole. I chose SmartBiz Loans since Nav has recommended them and I applied for the second PPP on January 11th. It's been six weeks and nothing seems to change in the portal. "Your application is under review by our team. We will reach out with any questions we may have. There is no action needed at this time." Clearly no action from them as well. I can appreciate it's a small loan and not exactly very profitable but It would seem that if they don't want to complete the loan in let's say 30 days maybe they should not be taking on new clients. This is the type of experience that does not bode well for referrals and future repeat business which would be more profitable.

Has my application stalled? Been rejected? Still in process of approval? Should I apply elsewhere? I have no idea.
Dear William,

Because of the rigid nature of the documentation in the SmartBiz portal, my qualifying healthcare contributions were not included in the application, and the 2020 payroll costs were required instead of 2019 - yielding an application for $120,000. My correct documentation yields a PPP of $150,000. I requested in my application comments that qualified healthcare expenses be added to my documentation, I emailed with SmartBiz about it, and these efforts were ignored. As a result, my application for $120,000 PPP was submitted to SBA against my specific instructions.
Impossible to reach on the phone. Email response to my instruction to withdraw my application if it could not be amended was to tell me I could apply several places at once. I again asked them to amend my application and if unable, to withdraw it immediately. This was ignored. This was misleading, as they got to SBA first and sent me docs for a $120,000 PPP. As a result, my regular bank’s application for the correct amount - $150,000 - was denied. Neither I nor anyone in my sphere of influence will ever do business with or recommend SmartBiz again.
Dear Bradley,
Thank you for your comments. They help us to improve our customer service processes and systems. We’re sorry you did not receive immediate responses. Applied for a PPP loan through Smart Biz and they were the first ones to move forward with my application. My initial PPP loan last year was a little over 15k - I was only open two months of 2019. I noted this on my application - but when my loan amount was being calculated they were dividing my whole 2019 by 12 instead of by 2 like they were supposed to.
When they sent me loan docs with this incorrect amount, I have waited to sign them - trying desperately to get ahold of customer service through every avenue possible. The 'rep' who keeps emailing me to tell me to 'sign my docs' appears to be a bot because no matter how many emails I send, no one responds, they also don't take phone calls or answer their customer service email. They got my loan approved at 3.5k - which is a whole lot less than I should be getting - and of course the SBA approved it and has a PLP for it so NOW no one else is moving forward with my apps and I'm just here waiting because THEY WILL NOT RESPOND. Apply with another company. This has been a nightmare.

We pursued an SBA loan for an existing business and Kapitus, the broker, referred us to SmartBiz, their preferred lender. The process wasn't easy because it was for the SBA loan so there was very complex and comprehensive information that had been requested. But with their platform, everything was all online. The only thing that mattered was me trying to find that information in our business and uploading. The actual uploading part and answering the questions on the platform was very easy.
After the initial application, a loan officer was assigned, and there was also an underwriter behind him. I mostly spoke with the loan officer and he was very professional. There were a series of exchanges between him and me because of the process and went into very details. Every time I responded to his questions, he would come back to me very fast, sometimes in the same day, and go in deeper until his question is crystal clearly clarified.
SmartBiz provided the SBA loan for us and it definitely changed our business. With additional funding, I was able to consolidate the short-term loans, so the business is much healthier. They're one of the best lenders I have ever dealt with. From the date that I applied until the day we actually got the funding, it was within 30 days.

A broker in the LendingTree network got ahold of our file and then he began to work with us and gave us really good advice. He recommended that we reach out to SmartBiz and they did a heroic job trying to get an SBA 7(a) loan, which the window had just opened up in the midst of a pandemic as we were trying to expand our company with our own deadlines. They handled it incredibly well. I love them.
SmartBiz didn't make it clear to me during the application process that the landlord would need to sign a waiver. They also downplayed the importance of it a little bit. Then, sure enough, my landlord didn't wanna sign the waiver and all hell broke loose. But in the end, the landlord did sign the waiver and everything went through. But it was a touch-and-go week because had they made it more clear, I could have negotiated that before we had signed our new building lease. But then, I lost the leverage because we signed the lease thinking that if they said no, it was not gonna be the end of the world. Then it turned out to be the end of the world. So, we skirted through.
Working with SmartBiz was fantastic. At a time when traditional lenders are not offering any options, I'm really pleased with the way that they've performed. When dealing with somebody virtually and not having a direct banking relationship, you never know if they are gonna respond. But they were always in touch and they definitely took the stress out of it. Their platform is very simple to use. It's nice to see a company do what they claim to do. I've recommended them to a colleague who's now working with them on getting his own 7(a) loan.

My primary bank screwed me over and I had applied for PPP loan with a couple of other banks and got nowhere. And a friend suggested that I look into SmartBiz Loans. And went back and forth on email three different times ‘till I got exactly the right package of stuff that they wanted. And it was tentatively approved shortly thereafter and then once the package was completely in order my account was transferred to Bank of Utah, who was the funding bank.
I was pleasantly surprised how the flow went, after being disappointed by my own bank. And then having applications that went nowhere with big lenders like Kabbage, I was really happy that they asked for something, I sent it, they confirmed that they had it. I filled out an application with many financial providers - PayPal, Kabbage, Intuit. The process was a little bit longer. They didn't get back to me soon enough, SmartBiz did. I was like, let me try it for my second business as well. I got both loans through SmartBiz Loans. I received a PPP loan. Initially, because SmartBiz was the first one that I filled out the application with because I got the email from CenterState Bank, I really didn't know a lot. Because like many other people, we had no idea how this all works. This was pretty new to all the business owners.
To collect the reports that SmartBiz needed, we had to get in touch with ADP, and ADP had to download it into our system, it took us a while to get those printed or get that downloaded. It was a little bit of a work, but something we learned ourselves. Because there were a lot of documents that were required to be uploaded, but we got it. Once I was able to do it for one, then it was easier to do it for the second one because I already knew the process. So, that delayed the process a little bit.
SmartBiz's requirements were similar to everybody else's because that's what the FDA required, but once we got the system down, we were able to download whatever is it that SmartBiz asked for. Once SmartBiz had everything in their system, it took another three days. I was even able to speak with somebody at CenterState after that, once SmartBiz finished their part of the end and went to CenterState again and they were able to get the clarification, how soon the funds will be in the bank.
I called SmartBiz a couple of times to find out as far as they needed some information regarding the franchise agreement that we had with 7-Eleven, that's my business and that was something I signed 10 years ago. I had to request a copy of that from the corporate, which they finally emailed, but it took a while. I have those now. But I have not submitted because they said they just wanted to make sure that I have it because they were writing these loans based on all this information that I provided.
Because of the loans, I'm able to keep all my employees working. We were essential so we have to stay open. We are open 24 hours. We couldn't close it. We weren't making any money at the time, but we have to stay open. And I couldn't let any of my employees go because they have their family to take care of. The PPP helped.

They got me the funding that I was looking for very quickly. It was an excellent experience.

I received a phone call from SmartBiz Loans and Miguel was pretty knowledgeable and persistent. If I was busy, I asked him to call back another day. I did that about four times. I also looked up their profile and it seemed legit. I took a loan for a small business. I do a combination of a fish market/soul food with fried fish. Everything is strictly to go, but I'm in Brooklyn and things are getting really expensive. I need to rephase and do a lot.
The application process was cool. Everybody was knowledgeable and straightforward. I didn't mind the questions, but the rep didn't mind me blowing him off and saying, "I gotta speak to my accountant. I don't know what you're saying. My accountant has to send it to you." With the other company, I felt that if I couldn't get to it, it becomes real pushy. With SmartBiz Loans, I didn't feel like I was being pushed around in any way.
The process took less than two months. The rep told me that the longest process was me giving my information in. He said that once it was in, it went out to the underwriter and then the rest was history. The bank would call me and everything was there. In the beginning, I was concerned about a fee. When I spoke to my accountant and he said that I gotta pay for the service and that I never sit down at a bank and avoid a fee. So I felt comfortable with the fee, even though some friends that run businesses said that I couldn't keep paying a fee. It was well worth it.

We needed to get the funding for our business so I looked into SmartBiz. They’re really easy to work with. It was sending a lot of documents which they made really easy by uploading things. Camille helped us through and made it in a timely manner. The whole process took a little over 30 days. We were able to purchase some new stuff and pay our wonderful taxes that the government loves to give us for the year.

The small loan company that I was going through for my high-interest rate loan told me about SmartBiz. They then did debt consolidation and the equipment upgrade for me. The process was very simple and the lady rep I dealt with was excellent. Uploading the required documents was nothing very difficult. The rep sent me samples of balance sheets and tutorial paperwork, and then a blank paperwork to get filled out to do the work. I, however, wasn't very educated on it and at the end, where I continued to use credit card to pay bills, it dropped my credit score. So, the first round was not too good, but after she taught me everything I needed to do, the second round went straight through.
I have been trying to get this loan forever. I did all this stuff in 2002 on my own, so I did not know anything about building business credit. So, this company was very educational and they helped in what I needed to do. My life changed in the second they paid off all those high-risk loans and put the change in the bank. Someone is literally on the phone with SmartBiz right now that I recommended, and he and I are going to end up being business partners.

We were seeking for a consolidation and capital. SmartBiz had really good rates at the time, and it seemed pretty straightforward and simple with them. Uploading the required documents was very easy and secured. The representative was able to answer all of our questions that we had and check on things if we thought things were taking a little longer than we thought. He was on top of it.
We had holidays thrown into it, so it took about two months, which was a little longer than we were expecting. We started it right at the beginning of November and then we ended right at the new year, on the 2nd. But it was a seamless experience. They asked for everything. There was nothing hidden. It was all upfront, so it was really nice. We received an SBA loan and it has definitely given us the opportunity to pay some things off, save some money and look forward to growing our business. We would use them again.

I researched online for small business loans and SmartBiz Loans populated on Google. Having to upload the required documents to them was really helpful. It was great. That was better than emailing things. The first loan officer I dealt with was Ted, and then the one that finished was Mandy. It looks like Ted moved to another location. But both of them did a great job. I received a working capital loan from them and the whole loan process took about a month. Working with SmartBiz really helped the business. They were very helpful and everything worked out good.

I work with an independent loan officer who connected me to SmartBiz. I got a three-year term loan. I filled out an application, and they recommended the options, and made the process. They did all of the work on that. The entire process took about three weeks. The cost to do it was a little bit high, but the process was fine. I worked with Pamela, and she was responsive.

I got a loan from SmartBiz. It seemed like they were gonna be easy to deal with whereas a lot of the banks wanted a lot of paperwork done. I don’t have time for that crap. Applying, even though it seemed like it was gonna be easier, was kind of a pain in the neck. It was almost like, “Give me this. Now, give me this. That’s all we need. Oh! I need this.” It was so aggravating. Then we had to haggle with them about the rate ‘cause it was a bit high. They are a bit proud of their services. But we got that taken care of and the experience was mostly good. The guy that was helping us was fantastic. The things that annoyed me weren’t his fault. There was stuff he was being told to get. But it could all have been handled on day one.

I got an SBA loan through First Home Bank from SmartBiz. I got on with their rep, Skylar who was nice and things started clicking. She was great to work with and was relatively attentive. She has a busy schedule and we didn't connect as much as I would've liked via phone, but she was always available via email. I'd recommend SmartBiz. Through them, we are able to consolidate some debt and purchase additional equipment that has catapulted us to the next level of business.

I was looking into expanding our business and my son referred me to SmartBiz. A lot of companies don't provide the SBA loan so I decided to go through SmartBiz. It was a great experience. The consultant always returned my phone call as soon as possible and the loan officer's assistant did an awesome job. There was a lot of documentation to get and put together and they assisted me in that effort. Getting approved was relatively easy and the rate was good. It was 7% and it was a 10-year term.

I was trying to gain some business from another lender and they initially declined but suggested SmartBiz. And SmartBiz was great. They were very cordial and prompt. The customer service was hands down really great. We had some back and forth on some documents. They had to secure the loan through another company, and that company backed out. So I had to come up with some stuff, and I had to redo some things. I’m trying to run a business and grow, and every minute matters for me because I’m that small. I lost a little money with all the time and energy involved in doing it. It was real frustrating, but all in all, it was a pretty decent experience. It was a little aggravating, but it’s okay. We’re done.

SmartBiz Loans got back with us first when we inquired, and so they're who we dealt with for a SBA loan. Everything went well in the process of applying and receiving the financing. It took a little time, about 3 weeks, but that’s to be expected. I also had great interaction with their team. All in all, working with SmartBiz has made a big difference for us. We worked with a guy by the name of Manish who was very helpful and a big deal. It really helped us.

We applied for an SBA loan and it was extremely easy to upload the documents. The entire process took 3 to 4 weeks. There were some ownership changes and some characteristics with our business that were a little unique. Things were happening as we were going through the process, so the delays were outside factors. The rep was instrumental in getting us approved for the loan and the support we were provided had a positive impact on us. It was a rather large cash injection and it helped us sleep a little bit easier at night. We were working with others, and SmartBiz moved us through the process a little quicker and easier. We're very satisfied.
Dear Patrick,

We were looking for operating capital at a rate that was cheaper than credit cards or PayPal, where we were borrowing money from. I was on the internet searching around for various things, reading articles and I came across SmartBiz Loans. I submitted an inquiry and they got back to me pretty quickly. We talked and they explained how they shepherd through the SBA loans which are often a lot of legwork. We had never applied for one, so we decided to engage them to see if they could help us get one.
They were very attentive and kept track of where we were. They also seemed to know some of the tricks of the trade to be able to expedite the loan more quickly by giving us advice on the kinds of things that would help on our application. So far, we got a $100,000 loan for operating capital, which makes it easier for us to do business. SmartBiz Loans was worth investigating because for us, they did a good job. They were very efficient and helped us achieve the goals we had set. I found working with them to be very good, so I would certainly recommend them to other people.

I was looking for consolidation and went with SmartBiz for lower monthly payment and lower rate. The business loan was relatively easy to apply for. It was a month-long process which I understand, but a lot of the information that they asked for was redundant. They asked us to have a workman's comp policy for insurance which was not really necessary, and we did not do that.
It was good dealing with the SmartBiz team, but I constantly had to come up with a different document. I own a very busy bed and breakfast, so time is of the essence. When I'm constantly having to run around trying to come up with documents or get in touch with my accountant to get more documents, it would have been a lot easier if everything was listed for me to get at one time. I could have gotten it, given it and then done. But uploading the documents is very easy. Overall, it was a very good experience. Working with SmartBiz has given me a little bit less stress as far as having to worry about high-interest rates on the previous loans and having to come up with funds that I've had a hard time coming up with for the higher payment each month.
Thank you for your review of SmartBiz Loans. We know how busy business owners are and appreciate your time!
We are so glad that you found uploading documents easy and that you had a very good experience overall.
Best of luck to you and your business,
