We had a Sunesta Salesperson stopover. He assured us that the retractable awning would be just what we needed. After they installed it, it would squeak and creak when extended, it would knock when retracted, we live on a windy ridge. The salesman said it would be fine. It has never stayed out for over 25 minutes. They have adjusted the wind sensor several times. We spent over $12000 for something that does not work. Asher lasting Exteriors the installing contractor will not return my calls. Piece of crap!!!

I purchased 5 retractable Sunesta screens in 2017 and have had many issues with one of them. The installer Mr. ** had measured all the area that needed to be screened and told me that everything has to be flushed before installing the screens. After flushing all the areas Mr. ** inspected it and brought the screens to be installed, but one of the screens had an issue. There is a gas valve located on one side of the fireplace where the track was supposed to be installed and to his surprise (his measurements were not correct) the valve was in the way so I cut the wall and moved the gas valve after he requested it, but the track was still off by about over an inch. He installed the screen anyway and told me its all good and tried it a few times.

At some point I contacted the installer because it was making noise and not functioning properly. After a visit he ordered another screen and had it installed. On April 6th 2018 I sent him a text saying the new screen is making noise and his response was a Rep. is coming to look at it. There were also phone conversations going back and forth during this time. May 16th 2018 I texted him again after the Rep. had come that there issues with the new screen. He had come and worked on it again and I remember the screen also was ripped.

One day in August I happened to look up at one corner of the header and noticed there is a rubber strip hanging from it so on August 26th I texted a picture of it to him and that is when I noticed the large gap between the screen header and the wooden header that is attached to the ceiling. The screen was not flushed and the tracks were not lined up like it they were supposed to. Time passed and the screen had same issues until April 29th 2019 when I texted Mr. Biship when the screen came out of the railing. He came and worked on it and fixed the screen (patched it) but there are green clamps that is loose in the tracks and I am afraid to use the screen. My last conversation with the installer, he told me that the repairs are going to cost. Few months ago in May I emailed Sunesta but have not received a respond after 4 months yet.

It cost me $14000.00 for 5 screens and still have problems. This winter 2 of the screens stopped working also. But they are functioning now. I guess when it gets really cold the motors don't work at times. It is very disappointing after spending a lot of money that the issue still exists and I may have to consider different ways to get the company's attention.

Purchased retractable awning with remote in May 2018. Was installed in one day in July. The installers came and went while we were at work. They left a long handle thing laying under where the awning was installed. No explanation of anything, no paperwork, and no follow up call from sales person to see if everything went ok. We spent over $11,000 on this so I was not too happy about that. We still don't know what the long handle is, as there is no where to attach it to the awning. It is motorized, so we are not sure what that is about.

Also, when the awning is being extended, it seems to "catch" and looks like it's going to collapse. It hasn't collapsed, but it is concerning. We have been trying to contact the company in Austin, Tx that sold and installed it without any luck. It's very frustrating to think that they just seem to have vanished. We have left numerous messages at the only phone number we have for them. The email address sends back undeliverable message.

It took almost a year from the time we ordered 4 residential screens before the job was completed. It kept going back and forth between the dealer blaming the Sunesta company and the Sunesta company blaming our dealer. It finally got completed only to last about 6 months and our screen started to come apart. Here we go again, it's now going on 2 months and we are minus a screen. Now the dealer blaming the Sunesta company and of course they are blaming the dealer. But they had our screen to make a pattern and it came back too big. Don't know what's going on but there it is.

I would never recommend either the Sunesta factory or our dealer in the Jacksonville Florida area. I love my screens for what we wanted in having a screen enclosure yet being able to open up for pool parties. I would recommend seeking another screen enclosure company as the Sunesta factory doesn't seem to care about their customers. Also a dealer that does screens only and not awnings. If screens are not their only priority, steer clear!!

I purchased retractable awning from Sunesta and in less than 2 years motor went bad and they agreed to replace it but it took two months shipping from Florida then was lost then I couldn't get them to return my calls in a timely manner then when the motor finally came in and they replaced it it cost over $300 which I felt was unfair when the motor had a five-year guarantee their warranty means nothing it's just a money maker to get it replaced. I paid $5000 for the awning initially and felt that when it went bad in less than two years it should've also been covered to replace it these people are horrible. For 5000.00 it's unexcusable to be without it for 2 of the hottest summer months we have had in years! It doesn't take 8 weeks for ups to deliver to Ohio from florida.

The installers were awesome. Showed up when they said they would, finished the job in a timely manner. Never cut any corners throughout the whole process. Very satisfied with installation. The product comes with a reasonable warranty. It holds out for the product to make it an overall solid purchase. The coverage for the term of its life versus its purpose and use, more than equals out over the long run. I went with a retractable model and it's rather easy to pull it out and put it back. Seems really durable by comparison to other retractable awnings that I have owned at previous locations. Also helps keep it cool. Ok in terms of its overall strength. It is wonderful. Solid construction, excellent binding to the framework. I mean really nailed on the quality of the awning.

The installation process was much easier than we ever thought. There was no needed effort on our part for any inconvenience or cleanup. The time it took to install was on schedule and went smoothly. The warranty that comes with the product is well written and covers everything that would involve potential problems in regards to awnings. We felt secure about the purchase knowing that the company would take care of any issues as documented in the written warranty. There were options according to the type of awning choice in regards to use of the product. When manually using them there is minimal effort and can be conducted with ease. Care and usage are quality. The awnings are as expected even at first glance, very well made and with l materials. Any issues or concerns especially when it comes to weather are addressed by the installers and before purchase. One can feel secure that they will remain intact when exposed to the elements.

The people who came to install were very professional and endearing. They were in and out quickly which I appreciate because it was expensive. From wind damage to hail I am protected under my warranty which to me is a huge advantage because you never know what is going to happen to it. It is pretty easy to use I have kids and a husband and they can do it so that's important to me to not be the only one that knows how to work the darn thing. It is very durable this year. We've had multiple thunderstorms and it has remained intact as well as hit it with a bat on accident and is okay so that's good.

They did all the work for me. I'd get another from them if I needed one. They are a really great company and do great work. Got a really good warranty with it. They offer a long one and that's the best way to go for me. I would surely get the same one if I needed another. I didn't have any problems. Love how it works and how it's so easy to use. Best one and easiest one I've ever tried to use. Made very strong and should last me a long time. I like how well their products are designed and how tough they are built. Very good product.

They are very thoughtful with their work. They clean up after and during the process of installation, and was pleasant to my family and property. Their warranty is easy to read and goes into detail about what is covered. I am very pleased with my warranty. They gave me options of what kind of warranty I wanted. My awning is so simple to use. My wife could use unroll it herself if needed be. In less than seven minutes it is all set up, and closing the awning is also an ease. My awning is very durable, and made of thick canvas which keeps out any kind of moisture. It repel water. It comes in the colors that I like, and can withstand different weather conditions.
