uShip is an online marketplace, or “load board,” for shipping services where users can post shipping jobs they need completed and receive bids from several vendors. Customers can use uShip for a variety of shipping needs from household moves to cars to live animals and more. uShip specializes in helping customers find transportation for items “larger than a parcel” for both local and long-distance moves.
uShip lets customers find transport solutions for shipping in the following categories among others, including freight shipping at truckload or less-than-truckload capacity:
- Vehicles (cars, motorcycles, RVs, trailers, boats and parts)
- Household items (furniture, appliances, etc.)
- Whole house, apartment or office moves

A list of fees is not available as prices are set based on what you’re shipping; however any service fee is listed clearly alongside your bid at checkout, so you’ll know exactly what you’re paying before you finalize your payment.

- To use uShip, simply select the “find shipments” option. From there, you will enter your pickup and delivery location to begin the pairing process. I will summarize my experience in the fact that the vehicle I hired uShip and their transporter to deliver to me was totaled while in transit to me. I fully realize accidents will happen, that's not the biggest issue, the issue is that the transporter delivering the vehicle to me didn't even have a commercial insurance policy. All he had was standard full coverage insurance, which does not offer the coverages when transporting vehicles as a business. I asked the uShip rep if they verify insurance coverages when I "company" is able to supply bids/quotes on their website and his answer was, "No, we do not verify insurance coverages for any company before they are able to be one of our providers".
The worst part of this deal, the vehicle being transported to me was a vehicle that my older father has owned for the last 25 years and I was keeping it in the family for my sons and I to enjoy. It is flipped on its roof driving at a high rate of speed down i95 and is now completely totaled! Thanks, uShip for being a responsible business that at minimum verifies YOUR carriers have the necessary insurance before they transport someone's pride possession. I fully expect uShip to not post this review but I want anyone and everyone to read this to better understand what their negligence has caused an innocent customer. This is just the beginning of many reviews to come.

Uship double-dips from the shipper and transporter. Their percentage is now 20% to shipper and to transporter, so in essence you are paying about 40% in fees using uShip. We ended up moving our shipping to www.motherload.app instead. They do not allow illegal transporters or brokers to bid on shipments. I like the idea that we can call someone and they answer their phone. All carrier are vetted before they are allowed to be on that app. It is much better than uShip.
The worst company I ever did business with. Scammed into releasing the money before pickup so the driver could buy gas. Customer service rep tried to blackmail me by refusing to refund money unless it was by mutual cancellation so I would not be allowed to post feedback on my experience. Refused to let the situation go to higher management. What a cover up. Does anyone really want to do business with a company like this? There is no integrity with this firm. Finally canceled the contract so I was denied any freedom of speech on the situation. I know why now the founders can brag they are so successful. Their money can't buy DECENCY and CLASS.

I ship boats all over the world and I have never experienced such dishonesty as well as bribery. This deceitful con-man requested that I cancel uShip and pay him direct, which I refused and he then offered to provide return shipping as well as future boat shipments across the country, provided I deal direct and bypass uShip.
OK I agreed we go thru uShip for this delivery and I would consider hiring him in the future based on his performance. Then after several phone conversations he agreed to pick up as scheduled and never showed or answered phone calls. When I finally reached him 24 hours after his no show he lied again saying, “what? The driver never showed up?” ** is a downright fraud who lies, makes promises to deliver and has no intention of carrying it out. Please do your uShip customers a big favor and remove this deceitful con-man as a uShip vendor.
I got numerous quotes and chose to ship a copper tub through USHIP which used SHIP NOW USA to do so. Truck never showed up so I ended up having to take the LARGE heavy tub over to the freight terminal myself in order to get it shipped out on time. They shipped it to a freight terminal and hour away from my customer who drove there to pick it up. Months after the fact and without notifying me, they (USHIP/SHIP NOW USA) charged my credit card another $108. I noticed it on my statement and called to ask about it. They said they did so because they had to call my customer to arrange for them to pick it up. Why that justifies charging me another $108 is beyond pale. Long story short, they refuse to refund my money. DO NOT EVER USE THEM!
