    If you read a lot of the reviews, the 5 stars are based on customer service, questions, how the sales went, etc. They are correct. The problem starts when you need them. My daughter's car, 2019 Malibu, the CVT transmission started to go out. They wouldn't fix it, the mechanic had to do other things they suggested, as they refused until the other options were tried first. We did this at our cost as they paid nothing. Ten weeks later her car is back in the shop because of doing the same thing. It took a week for our mechanic to get an answer on the claim, well response that they would be sending an inspector to verify everything. He got an email on Friday when they didn't show up on Thursday that the mechanic can do the inspection, email for the inspection took 2 days for him to get.

    They will fix the transmission. The only options since the car is not a 2024-25 model is a remanufactured or refurbished costing 6000 or a used one costing costing less than 2000, which is what Premier claims said they'd pay for. I tried to call customer service regarding this, very non-caring, advised it was the plan I bought. (I bought the most expensive one because the salesman assured me all would be covered with new parts as I always make sure used/salvage yard parts are not going to be used because of past experiences.) In your plan it states under General Provisions "replacement will be made with parts of like kind and quality and compatible with the Covered Vehicle's specification."

    Per the claims team I emailed they stated "Of like kind and quality means that we will source components that are used, aftermarket, remanufactured, or new, as needed. In this case we have sourced the component used, from **". They will only pay for the cost of the one they found that has 69000 miles on it at 1691.60. My mechanic found a better one w/ 61000 miles for 1720 and they refuse to pay for that one as the one they found will work and is cheaper. I will have to pay the difference of the 2 and I have no idea what they are going to pay on labor. I have a 100.00 deductible to pay but I know that it's going to go higher than that. My experience with all of this has been horrifying to say the least.

    The last thing you want is a used part being put in your child's car that could break down anywhere, anytime and just hoping they will be safe. Which is the reason I bought a warranty plan to make sure her car stays running good if something goes wrong. Premier is a third party and partners with 4 companies that do the claims based on the wonderful policy the salesman sells you. These are salesman, ask questions, get it in writing - I thought I had - and if they are a third party run and keep looking. Make sure when you read reviews you read bad ones and good ones and you will see a trend that the bad ones are based on usage and the good ones are based on before usage.

    If you buy a policy from Premier or any third party beware, it feels safe to have a warranty if something goes wrong but then the nightmare starts when it has to be used. Oh, and finding someone to take the warranty as payment is another issue. I have been looking for other warranties since I plan on canceling after her car is fixed. There are direct, non-third party, plans out there that have it in writing they will only use new parts and will pay the cost no matter where you go, even it's the dealership. Again, buyer beware if you choose Premier. You've been warned.

    Premier was happy to open me a policy on the weekend. After several months paying I have never received a policy number or and documents about my policy. I decided to cancel. Here is where the company went sour. I tried to cancel before my renewal date but that was on a weekend and they are not open. Called customer service to cancel and the lady that answered was nothing but hateful. She informed me that everyone knew they did not work on the weekends, well except me. Then instead of letting me ask her questions about what I was billed and the cancelation fee she hollered over me every time I spoke. With this experience I would not recommend this product.

    I would like to take this moment and personally thank Marc for assisting me with my decision to purchase a warranty plan with Premier Auto Protect. He did an outstanding job explaining me the plans and prices. He made the sale to me in about 15-20 minutes. He did not try to trap me into buying a plan like Car Shield did, that salesman would not let me get off the call, he held on the phone for about an hour and a half, meanwhile I got frustrated and finally hung up the phone. The plans Car Shield offer was in no comparison to Premier Auto Protect.

    If I could give this company no stars I would. I purchased a policy. A few months later the transmission went out on the vehicle. Took it to my local dealer and they filed the claim to have the transmission replaced. As expected, they sent out a third-party inspector/adjuster to inspect the claim. The adjuster denied the claim, claiming that the truck was driven to the dealer and not towed which caused further damage, so I in violation of the terms and conditions of the policy. I provided a receipt showing the truck was in fact towed and not driven. After a lot of back and forth with the claims department they told me it doesn't matter what proof I had. We are going with the third-party inspector recommendation. They are not to be trusted.

    Today on April 23 I took my 2017 into the dealership to get my two remotes replaced they have broken. When I bought my policy with Premier Auto Protect the lady told me that my remote would be covered if I had to have them replaced. This was a lie. after waiting for 2 1/2 hours at the dealership while they were being given the runaround by Premier auto protect, they been told the service guy that my remotes were not covered under my policy other than when my air conditioner was fixed, but they did pay for everything else has been denied no matter what it is

    One claim was called in on 5/21/2024 for an A/C compressor. The claim was approved the same day and paid on 5/24/2024 .
    The next claim, nothing was called in or initiated. The only communication was on 4/23/2025, when the shop followed up on an estimate they had emailed to the wrong address—claims@protectionloyalty.com.

    We informed them that this is not the correct email for claim submissions and reviewed the proper procedure. The repair facility responded that they would not be handling it and told the customer to seek reimbursement before ending the call.

    So there was no claim to adjudicate in this situation

    Was assured several times this warranty was a bumper to bumper coverage, with exception of heated seats. Nothing ever said about the repairs are only covered by 50% and customer responsible for the remaining 50%. That is not a bumper to bumper warranty that I have ever purchased. Tried calling numbers provided, much to my dismay they do not reach anything other than a recording. Be cautious when purchasing from companies outside of a dealership.

    I purchased a Premier Exclusionary 60/100000 extended warranty. I asked the question will this extended warranty fully cover OEM parts installed by a dealership. The Premier sales person stated my extended will fully cover OEM parts installed by a dealership less a deducible. I had to have some repairs done on my vehicle. Premier warranty claims informed me and the dealership they would only cover aftermarket or re-manufactured parts at best. This resulted in me having to cover a very large portion of the repair cost. This difference in cost would have made it far more economical for me to purchase a dealership extended warranty. Buyer beware!

    We needed more clarification on the failures and a finalized estimate. Attempts were made to contact the repair facility, but we were unsuccessful in reaching them or receiving a call back.

    This company is synonymous with fraud. I initially tried to file a claim and when I contacted the claim number they told me that they couldn't find me in the system, but if I contacted the sales department they did find me in the system. They tried to extend the time without giving you a solution, trying to get you to take the vehicle in for repairs without their approval so they wouldn't cover the cost of the repair.

    Horrible experience with this company. It's always hard to get someone on the line. I was given the run around for almost two weeks because they were trying to dodge paying my claim (claim was denied). Horrible overall experience. Please DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY WITH THIS WARRANTY GROUP. Customer experience is horrible. The only time I spoke with someone who had a good attitude and was very helpful was when I spoke with Theresa. There was times when both myself and the dealership waited hours to speak with someone. They don't mind taking your money monthly but will deny your claim when they feel it's too costly for them. I would NOT RECOMMEND this company!!!

    I've had warranties and ins type claims before this is by far the worst company I've ever dealt with. They won't pay anything until it's been approved. That will take a week or so. Then they only wanted to pay a small portion of the labor not even half of what the dealership charges. IMP best to pass on this one and just put the money aside. 500 in and car is still not working

    Thank you for taking the time to write a review and also in the amount of places you did as well. We appreciate this opportunity to educate all readers to see what happened with your repairs.

    1. 1ST claim back on 11/16/2023. The claim was authorized the same day the estimate came in. We had a representative reach out 5 days before the authorization expired for the customer to inform us that they were not moving forward with repairs. – So there was an approval but you chose not to go with the repairs.

    Coverage continues for a few more months:

    2. 2nd claim came in and you decided not to go through with the repairs as well.

    Coverage continues to recent days – so you kept the coverage going and it is still active.

    3. 3rd claim came in and is authorized with the only difference being your shop going way over the national average labor rates.

    There were many emails back and forth with you and the claims department though all these requests.

    If you were so unhappy with this plan from previously the option to opt out was there.

    You had an approval for the first repair and chose not to repair the vehicle.

    There is not much anyone can do for you if you choose to not go with a claim

    We hope you can continue to be with us , we do wish you and your vehicle well

    Updated on 02/21/2024: Talking about reimbursement, it was not even the whole reimbursement, customer service are no good. That's the reason y'all got cursed at because of ignoring my phone calls and didn't even bother to return back any calls. Stop trying to defend post that we leave here because it's the truth, if y'all want good post from customers then do a good customer service and make sure to explain everything out clearly before we make our first sign up fees, due to which state your coverage plan are Different than others!!

    Original Review: My mechanic called in to make a claim and the response back from the girl customer service was they will reimburse me after the repairs, so the mechanic fixed my vehicle and send them all the work order receipts that I've paid. Until as of today they still haven't reimburse me back and they've been ignoring my phone call, this fake person Tom and I think it's her dummy wife they working together, like what kind of service is this that you can hear kids in the background. From my experience this is a bad Car warranty that will rip you off, ignore your phone calls and won't pay a damn dime back, they're just lying.

    After many berating emails from you to our staff , we see that your check was mailed out on 12/15/2023.

    Unfortunately during the holiday season it can take the postal service some extra time to deliver mail.

    We did receive confirmation that the check was cashed so it seems as that you did receive the reimbursement as the policy you purchased did cover the repair.

    You wrote this review the same day you filed a claim and didn't give the claims an opportunity to adjudicate your claim and send the payment as that's the plan you qualified for before you wrote this review.

    Maybe in the future when dealing with anyone in any industry use kinder language , as sometimes berating and cursing people don't tend to be positive.

    So it seems the plan did do what it was supposes to and your last comment was incorrect since you did receive your reimbursement.

    Purchased a Repair Assist Plus Warranty as offered. The guy on the phone told me its a new product and showed its similarity with one of their plans except few items are not included. I asked for the coverage details and he said it will be sent in the handbook together with members ID which both arrived almost after 3 weeks. But there's no coverage details in the handbook. So I rang, sent messages both email & SMS but no reply. The handbook has a Drive America on the front for the Repair Assist Program but the service contract from Premier Auto Protect is issued by Omega. Until now, there is no reply after repeated communication attempts. I could not understand this company has been given a positive reviews but in reality it seems like they are non-existent at all as their communication/customer service is very poor. I can not recommend this product and hence, Premier Auto Protect.

    You do have the highest level of coverage in our industry which is called exclusionary coverage.

    Exclusionary coverage states what is not covered as opposed to what is and what is not.

    Any customer who calls our main toll free number during business hours does reach a live representative very quick.

    I would STRONGLY suggest to not purchase any warranty through this company they have not helped me at all. I bought a 2017, Volvo XC 90 and the turbo was about to go out in my car and that has to do with the engine and I called and asked them if was under the warranty. The person I spoke with said yes, so I took it the Volvo dealership. I called them when it was time to do the repairs and they told me “they would only pay 74/25 percent of the cost of repairs IF they feel like it!” WHO DOES THAT?? This warranty is a rip off an extreme headache. I’m paying a chunk of money every month for you guys to cover a certain percentage?! NO! There should be a set deductible and call it a day, but no you guys are scamming people out of their money. Beware please.

    I purchased a 2015 Expedition 107,000 miles very clean and well kept. I searched for an ext. warranty plan better than the one the used car dealer was selling. I thought I had found it with Premier Auto Protect. They were the only one I could find that would sell an Exclusionary Policy, which I purchased. I added the emissions and tech coverage at extra cost as well. They said I would have a 30 day and 1000 mile waiting period before it would be covered. I Purchased the warranty on 8/16/2023. On Saturday, September 23, 2023, with 1,078 miles since purchase of warranty, the truck’s front end suddenly started acting strange. We thought it was a tire off balance or something like it. Went to Fort Worth Auto Garage and left it for them to diagnose.

    They called on Monday and said it was the 4x4 actuator and drive shafts. These are stated individually covered items under the policy I bought. Premier Auto Protect has denied the claim stating they were worn over time. How would I/they know if nothing before that day indicated a problem? These are not wearable items, which they will tell you in sales at this company, are the only things not covered after 30 days and 1000 miles. In the “what’s not covered” portion of the policy it states it will not cover the GRADUAL REDUCTION IN COMPONENT PERFORMANCE THROUGH NORMAL (NORMAL) OR EXCESSIVE USAGE. Most components could be described as having gradual reduction in performance.

    The components FAILED and should be covered. I believed this was the protection I was purchasing, as I was told by the salesman who sold it to me. The people in sales are great, as the reviews on here show. The claims manager is not. I was hung up on twice for questioning and trying to understand how the policy I purchased actually works. So if it just suddenly goes out, but it’s been used, EVEN NORMALLY, they aren’t going to cover it. This clause will allow them to deny anything at anytime in my opinion, so the policy is worthless.

    We took a trip to Arkansas in April 2023 prior to our trip we had a water pump leak that cost us 3 hundred dollars out of our pocket. While on the trip we experienced a wheel bearing failure that cost us 8 hundred dollars for a tow. Then an additional 3 thousand dollars in should have been covered multiple parts that Premier would not cover unless a representative inspected the damage. Even after Midas had sent pictures of damaged parts. Stay away from this company and maybe others. Can't be diligent enough not to be taken. Just read reviews!

    This is a standard procedure in the industry , not just with our company of course.

    When a repair shop sends in an estimate with photos , the claims does have the right to send out an inspector to verify exactly what is failing and why.

    The objective of an inspection is determine exactly what is failing and why so they can fix the vehicle properly and hopefully not worry about this issue again in the near future.

    There was no determination of your claim not being covered , they just needed to send an inspector out to verify the issues – which is very common and standard practice in this industry.

    To start, I was told when I got a hold of Customer Service that I didn't have the right acc. # and was told to call back the following week. I did have the right acc. #, so apparently he just didn't want to deal with me at that time. When I did get through to another #, they took my information and would give a call back. On the call back, there was no one on the line. This happened to the garage as well. Finally I was informed I could go to a website to fill out an application. After that it was at least a week of back and forth with garage before they came to an agreement. They did not believe I needed a water pump as well. What they did agree to pay, I am still waiting on that.

    I bought my truck in December. I purchased this extended warranty 30 days after my purchase. I took my truck to Ford after my check engine light came on in April. My vehicle has been at Ford waiting for the claim adjuster to make a decision since the beginning of April. I have been calling for the past two weeks and I have been hung up on or given a blanket statement that they will send a message to the adjuster. It is May 2 and I am still waiting for them to approve my claim. So far this experience is horrible and frustrating. The rental car they promised is not approved until after the claim is approved so I have had no car for over a month and still no decision.

    I purchased my warranty with this Company in 2022. Last week was my 1st time having to use it. I called Premier prior to taking my vehicle to the repair shop, and stayed on hold for about an hour before the phone hung up. A rep called me back and I told him that I was needing to have my vehicle looked at by a repair facility and what I needed to do on my end. So the rep told me to take it to a licensed repair facility and have the repair facility call them. I took my vehicle to the repair facility on 4/19/23, the repair itself wasn’t going to take too long. I called the repair facility on 4/21/23 to get an update and the repair man said that he’s been waiting 2 days to get authorization from Premier to start on my vehicle. He stated that he’s called and emailed them numerous times since my vehicle has been in the shop.

    It’s Tuesday, I called the repair facility today to get an update and was told that he’s still waiting to hear from Premier about the authorizations and payments. He also said that Premier asked for pics for the 2nd claim on Friday and he sent those the same day. Here it is still no response from Premier and I’m still without a vehicle. This is just UNACCEPTABLE. I’ve paid on time every single month since having this warranty and I cannot get an authorization from these people!!

    I WILL NEVER, EVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY. In fact, I’M GOING TO CANCEL THIS WARRANTY AND SEEK LEGAL COUNSEL REGARDING THIS SITUATION. As I’m writing this review, I’m on hold with Premier right now and have been on hold for more than 30 minutes and haven’t talked with anyone yet!! Premier, YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!! I’m heading to the repair facility now and I’m probably just going to have to pay the cost for the repairs because I have to have my vehicle so that I can get to several doctor appointments that I gave this week and next week, plus take my son back and forth to school because I’ve been paying a family member to take him ever since my vehicle has been in the repair facility.

    So from what we see you had two claims both approved and paid for directly to the shop.

    You did not cancel the coverage either , so it seems you did receive the services you paid for and were requesting.

    Purchased the top auto warrant Premier offers. The first time I've used it and my 2017 GMC Yukon (70000 miles) has been in an top-rated ASE certified shop for four days for a failed starter motor. This repair should have taken 2 hours including testing. My vehicle has been at the shop for four days now! Premier keeps telling the shop to perform more test, when they jumped through all their hoops for the testing, then they want time to review the test findings? The next day the shop tries to get approval AGAIN, and after a full day, Premier now wants a picture of the starter in the vehicle????

    My vehicle has now been in and out of the shop, and up and down off the lift 3 different times for these different request. Remember that shops are busy, they can't tie up a bay and lift for days waiting on an approval, so it's back out to the parking lot to wait for the approval. Meanwhile my favorite shop is saying, all this time and effort for a $350. starter job??? The electrical test verified the starter was bad, what does a picture of a starter do for the process? and why wasn't the picture asked for with the testing process.

    We feel like this run-around process is done to deter you from using the warranty. What it's going to result in is my canceling the warranty. SO, if you buy the warranty... do like I did and choose the monthly payment plan. I could have paid it in full, but then if you cancel you have to fight to get the full refund. Now, I'll cancel and just stop the credit card withdrawal. GOOD LUCK!

    Conducted pricing from several auto warranty companies, and decided to go with Premier Auto Warranty. Tom M. was very professional, no pressure sales, explained their product and different plans, provided discounts, and very easy to work with. Other companies I called were trying to make the make the same the same day and bashing other companies warranties stating theirs is the best out there.     I took the car in for service and Premier Auto Protect was supposed to take care of it. Then they said they wouldn’t because the tire size has changed. It’s the ones that came when I bought it and they’re maybe a little bit different than the factory ones. But that’s not what they’re repairing. It had nothing to do with the inside of the motor or the rack and pinion and powertrain. The mechanic said that’s no reason to not do that. I talked to my attorney and he said that if Premier doesn’t take care of it, we will sue. I’ve called and called, and the lady said somebody else will be calling. If they take care of it, then I’ll recommend them. But otherwise, I will not.

    Premier dragged their feet for two weeks when my car was in the shop. My car had to stay there for their terms. After two weeks, I just said, "Enough is enough." So, I called. I canceled it and they said the check went out on August 3rd but as of today, I still haven't received my deposit back for $90. Last Monday, my service writer at the dealership called and said that he just had a phone call that said that the inspector was on his way out to inspect my car. My car had been with me for two weeks. It took them almost three and a half weeks to get someone to come out. So, they get 5 thumbs down literally. I'm so pissed at them right now.

    I was talking with the person who sold me this warranty for almost a month, and I was asking questions and he would give me his answers. I asked him about the process of filing the claim. He said, "You take your car in. They submit the photos. And then we give them a debit card. And you're out of there." That wasn't the way it happened. I just bought the car last August and it didn't have any other warranty. So, I wanted to get something to protect me financially and they made me feel like I was trying to take advantage of them. I was very upfront with them about the model, the year and the mileage. They tried to shame me in trying to feel bad about having to call them to have someone come out and look at my car.

    Premier was about the same amount with other companies, and by the time we finished up, it was $10 cheaper a month. I asked the guy that talked to me questions and he told me the truth. I felt that he was being sincere and wanting to make sure that I got protected. And I went with him. I got the policy that takes care of everything from the bumper to the transmission. That’s what I needed. Because I love my car. If something happened to my car, I couldn't afford to put a down payment down for a new car because I can't afford the car payment. It was cheaper to get this because it has road assistance, too. It was cheaper to do this every month than it is a car payment. And I keep my car.

    Premier's application process was easy. Their rep was very good. He explained to me how the policy worked. The initial phone call sounded really good. So, I was happy with it. I had a claim on my car's air conditioner. It's been extremely difficult. My car has been in the shop for almost a month now. The technician that was helping me at Honda was calling them. No one would answer the phone for days. When he finally got ahold of someone, he told them that he couldn't really send a picture of what was wrong with it because of where it is. They were like, "Well, you have to send a picture. There's no way we can process it." So he said, "Well, send someone down there." Someone came two days later and he saw that he couldn’t take a picture of it. About four days after that, they finally processed the paperwork for me to get it fixed.

    The technician at Honda was really confused, and he was kind of going back and forth with them. They sent the check to me, which is weird instead of sending it to the dealership. So, I had to pay for the whole thing which is why I needed the help. One more thing is they aren't open on the weekends so you can't file a claim on the weekends. Their voicemail doesn't say that.

    The experience with Premier Auto Protect, so far, has been a little bit unstable. My mileage was entered incorrectly on my warranty. I just realized that I’ve been paying for a warranty for about two months now, and I’ve made a down payment, and I’m unable to use my warranty until they correct some information. I am trying to get a claim completed that cannot be processed until the discrepancy is corrected. My car is at a licensed repair facility right now, and I’m unable to use my claim until that gets corrected. They just informed me that they will correct it in about an hour and a half or give me a response. As far as their customer service, I would give them about 10 stars. They’re really friendly and kind, giving me callbacks, and being supportive in trying to fix the situation.

    I signed up with Endurance, but they kept screwing everything up. They got my contract and down payment wrong. They said they revised it and sent me a new payment schedule. It was a disaster, so I canceled with them and looked for somebody else. I found Premier through ConsumerAffairs. I looked at so many other companies as well, including Concord and Toco, but Premier had the best price for the best coverage and had decent reviews on the Better Business Bureau and some other places. I also called the premier BMW dealership here in the Dallas area and asked them about Premier. They said they had worked with them and had no problems with them. They also told me to stay the hell away from CarShield and Royal, which I did.

    I decided to sign up with Premier, and it was pretty easy. They gave me a great deal too. The reps were great. Every time I’d tell them that I was gonna shop somewhere else, they were very cool about it. That's why I signed up. They’d say, “Hey, you want us to call you back?” I'd say, “Yeah. Call me on this day.” They did it. The kid that I was dealing with was there all the time. Any time I made a call, they passed me through to him. Premier had, so far, the best customer service, ‘cause what they didn't do was try to keep me from getting off the phone without signing up, which just irritates the hell out of me.

    I obtained Premier Auto on April 14th of this year. The gentleman, Robert, helped me and he was really good. I told him the vehicle I had and how much mileage I had on it. I didn't have a warranty because it was a used vehicle. Robert broke everything down and gave me two options between the three-year plan and the five-year one. He explained what the monthly payment would be and if I continue, how long it would take. He told me how much the actual payment plan was if I just pay monthly and what the amount would be if I paid him in full. There was no penalty if I decided to pay everything in full.

    Robert was really knowledgeable, professional and dedicated. Nowadays, customer service is not what it used to be over maybe 15 to 20 years ago. To have an individual that is working for a company actually study the product, know the product, have had people test the products out and sit there and sell it and have that new customer or existing customer be okay, especially if they have to call in and do a claim to make a smooth transition, I really appreciate that. He told me it would take 30 days and that May 14th would be the day that the warranty would be effective for my truck.

    I signed up with Premier Auto Protect online. I was just a little disappointed that I have to wait so long if anything happens to my car. I am retired, so I don't drive my car very often. It will take forever to get the miles on there that are required before I can use it.
