They are charging me for a vehicle I don't even have. At 189.00 a month. When I called I was hung up on or not answered at all. When I finally talked to who I was supposed to be was rude and told me they wouldn't cancel the cost or refund my money. Said I had to turn a letter to stop coverage in. I've never heard that before. These people just wanna take your money.

Let me start off by saying if I could give this company 0 stars I would. I would not recommend Ox Car Care to anyone. I have been waiting for weeks for approval to get my car repaired, and every time I call, they ask for something new—photos, videos, receipts—and then delay the process by saying it will take 3 to 5 business days each time. It’s a repetitive cycle with no resolution. When I finally submitted everything, my claim was denied without a clear explanation. The customer service is incredibly unhelpful and dismissive. Representatives are rude or unresponsive, and there is no sense of urgency or accountability. After looking into it, I found many other reviews from people who had similar or even worse experiences.

Richard from las vegas. Monday the 11/4/2024 is one month since I went to honda dealership and told me of a leaking water pump. They tried to call them. On hold 30 minutes. They submitted the claim for the water pump. They have not heard back yet. Is a 2016 honda pilot unacceptable? They are the worst and my recommendation for anyone on this is Sub Zero company. Stay away from Ox Car Care. Already wrote to BBB so I will connect with them again this week and file another complaint on them if they take 48 more hours to approve the water pump. I wouldn't recommend them to a Rat. Stay away. Move on from this company.

This company is an absolute joke. I brought my truck into the dealership on February 3 for a noise in my engine. The shop broke down the engine and found a defective lifter. The only way the service writer can communicate with Ox was by email. It took a few days to finally get a response. They wanted to see service records. I called in and told them that I do all of the maintenance for my truck. I used to be a mechanic so I have never brought in any of my vehicles for service. When I signed up with Ox they never mentioned I would need service records. What if I had bought a used car from someone? I was able to get a receipt from Auto Zone for the oil and filter that I bought for the last oil change I did, and my service writer emailed it in. A few days later I had to call in again because we got no response.

Now they wanted freeze frame data sent. We explained that the engine was apart and this was impossible. They weren't going to reassemble the engine to do that and I would have been responsible for more labor. After going back and forth for another week, they asked for the invoice for a repair I had last April. We sent that in. Waited more. I'm in a rental this whole time and going nuts. They asked for the freeze frame again, all this time nobody came to look at the truck. We are now over a month. They finally asked for a picture of the odometer. My service writer sent that and we waited. I called yesterday and they said we should know by the end of the week.

Today I got a text that the claim was denied. I called to see why and they said It was due to a lack of maintenance. Today is March 13. What an absolute scam. THIS COMPANY SUCKS. They could have told me that weeks ago if someone could have just come there. Now I am stuck with a $9000 bill and $2200 in rental fees. If I could give them minus stars I would. Nobody should ever use Ox Car Care. The absolute worst. I am going to post this review in as many places that I can. Craig **

This is the worst car warranty possible. I have a 2016 BMW X5 and have had Ox Car Care for 12 months. This is the first claim I ever had which was a new valve cover gasket. They have taken more than 10 days to even look the claim. I have called them every day which means I have been on hold for more than 40 minutes on each call. Their representatives are rude and not at all helpful. I need the car today so I will pay for this myself and cancel my contract. The Better Business Bureau has so many complaints about them, it is pitiful, but yet they give them an A+ rating because they respond to complaints. So much for the BBB. My advice: STEER CLEAR OF OxCarCare!! I would give them Zero Stars if I could!

I have a 2007 Range Rover Sport SUV with a 4.2L Supercharged V8 and I love it!!! I had it about 6 to 8 months before I had went ahead and bought the protection policy from Ox Car Care and I REGRET EVER GOING WITH THIS COMPANY!!! I almost went with Car Shield but they wanted $500 for their deductible and Ox only wanted $100. I bought the policy that covers my engine drive train transmission, and major components on the vehicle. I think it’s called the gold package. It does not cover small stuff like window motors, and things of that nature. Now I had the policy for over two months before my transmission started slipping, and put over 2k miles on it so I went over 30 days and over 1000 miles before I had any trouble with my vehicle and I immediately brought it to a shop called Meineke here in Baton Rouge Louisiana. I brought it there on April 24th and it sat there for 4 months before I ended up towing it home.

I have word from Ox saying the claim to replace my transmission was denied April 29th which makes no sense because it took them over two weeks just to get an adjuster to go look at the vehicle!!! Meineke told me, "Sorry Eric" but the adjuster told me the claim was denied before he even got there which I don’t understand and Ox denies. I just in the past 2 weeks found that part out from talking to Meineke about it. Back in May, Meineke had asked me for current oil change receipts, which I provided from whenever I got the vehicle and had 151k miles on it to the current mileage of almost 165k miles. It has in between 164k and 165k mikes right now. I’m not sure of the exact miles as I’d have to go put a jump box on it and turn the key on and see. Anyways, Meineke tells me that Ox is denying my claim due to lack of maintenance!!! I said, "How is that possible?"

I have every oil change receipt and all the maintenance that I’ve had done to the vehicle in the past 6 to 8 months that I’ve had the vehicle??? I have receipt showing that I’ve had a coolant flush, power, steering, and brake fluid flush, complete engine flush with synthetic oil, and transmission service, but they weren’t able to service the transmission because it’s not serviceable per the dealer. I sent Ox about six or seven emails because every time I tried to call them the only way I could talk to somebody in claims is if I was to email them at claims@oxcarcare.com which I did and did not get one response! Yet they were taking my monthly payments out, but continuing to deny my claim!!! My vehicle is in mint condition!!! Ox said that there were metal shavings in my transmission pan, and I said, of course, my transmission is slipping and going out!!! Now it doesn’t matter what proof I have that the maintenance was done on the vehicle.

They don’t wanna hear it and told me that the claim will remain denied so I quit making my payments!!! I am going to take them to court and it cost over $200 to take someone to court for over $5000 and an additional $60 if they’re out of the Parish which is about the same amount I was paying each month. I was told by my friend who is an attorney to stop making my payments until I get some results because I told him for four months from April to August I wasn’t getting anywhere and they were continuing to deny my claim, not listening to my emails, not responding, not taking my receipts into accountability that I’ve had maintenance done on the vehicle and they cannot tell me from lack of maintenance but they steady are. I’ve contacted the attorney General‘s office and a Better Business Bureau and all Ox tells them is that I was a previous former customer of theirs and due to lack of maintenance they were denying my claim.

Now a couple of months go by and I get a phone call from them and her name was Keona and she said that they are changing the way they do claims and that they wanted to take care of my vehicle now and then I need to get it back to the shop first thing Monday morning that they were going to approve my claim, and she also said that they were lowering my bill from $210 a month to $139 a month. I went ahead and told her OK and made the payment and Monday morning I contacted Meineke and told them that I was gonna bring my vehicle back up there and they said hold on, let us contact Ox Car Care and make sure. They called me back and told me that Ox Car Care is continuing to deny my claim and will not fix my vehicle.

I went ahead and called Ox and asked them what was going on and they said that a new policy had been started and that I had to wait 30 days or go 1000 miles before my vehicle would be covered and that’s when I flashed out and I told them no I have it recorded that Mrs. Keona told me that they were reinstating my previous policy with no lapse in coverage and that my transmission would be taken care of!! I had got her on the phone and she apologized and told me that she was sorry and would refund my money. I never received a refund and when I called back, they said that my old policy was reinstated, but that my claim would remain denied that they were not going to approve the claim.

I spoke with somebody in the claims department. He was a manager and had a very big attitude towards me especially whenever I had mentioned that I was gonna take him to court. He told me, "Well tighten up your shoelaces buddy and go down to the courthouse and do what you have to do!" I said, "Are you serious? OK I’ll see you in court!!!"

These guys are still taking the $139 out of my account each month after they were only supposed to take it out that account once and have kept debiting that account every month for the past few months after I have called them and told them to stop and that I want a refund For lying to me just to get me to start making my payments again. I have gone to the courthouse and got all paperwork necessary to file suit which I will be doing next week!!! I just cannot believe how big of crooks these guys are as be careful they will try to deny your claim for any reason!!! Good luck!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Ox Car either sold or transferred my policy to another company without my knowledge causing a great deal of difficulty dealing with my claim. I never was informed at the time I joined Ox Car for the second time that my policy wouldn't be handled by them. And if the covered repair was less than a $1000 I would have to pay 50% of the repair cost and if over $ 1000 shop would only get $500 only. I am not a happy camper at this point and will never deal with this company Ox Car Care again.

Their ads are totally misleading. They claim they pay for oil change, rental, you can use any mechanic, they don't use 3rd party. FACTS: They only pay $60 for oil change. Synthetic cost over $80-$100. They'll take over 8 days just to assign a adjuster (it took 14 before a 3rd party adjuster looked at my car) then 8 for the adjuster to give them the report. Then 10 for them to review. They'll only pay for 5 days rental IF THE WORK TAKES OVER 8 HOURS. They do not pay the dealer rates. You will have to cover the difference. Dealer $180 per hour. They pay only $100. I had to call and beg them to send Email to the shop 4 times to let the shop know it was under review. The dealer refused to hold on the phone for hours to get through to them. The cost for the rental was way more than the coverage they paid to repair. I was out of a car for over 30 days.

I have a 2012 BMW 640i. The 1st certified mechanic refused to work on my car because Ox took too long to approve claim 3 weeks so I took it to another mechanic. Ox refused to pay for OEM parts. They suggested Auto Zone instead. Bill was $2549. They paid $ 949 leaving me a balance, this is the worst warranty ever. I've been without my vehicle for over a month. I've paid 2 premiums and a down payment. Very disappointing and the claims examiners are trained to argue so good luck and goodbye.

OX Car Care offers and promises top quality care... This is a total lie, they take forever to open a claim, send out a technician to evaluate the claim while the vehicle is at the repair facility, and do whatever they can to deny the claim. I took my truck to the dealer for issues with the exhaust smoking during cold weather conditions. The dealer stated that the turbos needed to be rebuilt. The turbos worked (no mechanical failure noted) It took them almost 2 weeks just to open the claim and send an "Inspector" to confirm the claim request by the dealer. The dealership didn't say that taking the truck would cause any further damage to the turbos, I had to get the truck from the dealer to take an emergency trip.

While the truck was gone from the dealership, OX finally sent someone to inspect the claim. The truck was gone, they denied the claim using a small clause in the policy to deny the claim as the truck was removed from the dealership. I submitted a second claim a couple of months later for suspension issues and again, it took 3+ weeks for them to even open the claim, only again to deny the claim with no explanation... I paid for the premium coverage ($200/month) and received horrible results.

The claim department is almost impossible to reach by the repair facility taking days, if not 1-2 weeks for a reply if any. I had to help the dealership get the claim process started both times. This was no easy task either... As a licensed Insurance Adjuster myself, I am very familiar with any claim handling processes. By state laws there are time elements in servicing ANY type of insurance claim. OX Car Care could not meet any of the required time frames required by Department of Insurance standards!!! This company is a JOKE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME WITH OX CAR CARE! It does not deliver what it promises!

My car went in for repair. Dealer sent a quote to Ox for approval. 2 weeks later Ox asked for oil change receipts. 4 weeks after they got them, still no answer and the car just sits there, 7 weeks. Buyer Beware! I asked about rental car. They just laughed. Every time you call you get a message saying they will call you back. Most of the time they don't. I stopped paying so now they call me 8 times a day. Every time I say just have the claims dept call me. They never call, but I get 8 more collection calls the next day. All that money wasted and no repair.

I waited six days before I called to find out why I had not received my pay back as of yet, they told me they had not received the paperwork ask of yet. So I went back to Belle Tire and to get them to send the paperwork again, and this time they confirm they received what they needed. Still waiting for my reimbursement.

Paid monthly forever, filed my 1st claim. Denied!! Reason was lack of maintenance (long-term oil leak.) I bought Porsche macan new from dealer and had oil change every 10,000 miles as required and any other maintenance due or required by mfg. It only has 50,000 miles. I then supplied them with service record from new provided by the dealer. They said, "No we need receipts" (thinking I didn't have them). But surprise I provided them. Next day, Denied for the reason I gave you. Lack of Maintenance!! Then when you call you better get a seat it always takes at least 30 minutes and as long as 2 hours plus. Don't press 1 to leave a callback number, it never happens. Ridiculous!! Stay away from this company unless you want to lose your money and waste your time.

Ox Car Care and CarShield are both affiliated with Mepco insurance payment center. Both are insurance scams. Read the exclusion section before purchasing. Ask your auto repair shop if this extended insurance is accepted! Customers need auto repairs before a breakdown. Several parts are not covered under both policies. This type of extended auto insurance is not for me. Rip off!
