I went with CARCHEX because of the financial aspects of it with my budget. Customer service seemed to do a good job of trying to accommodate me financially. CARCHEX has all the services that I was hoping for an extender warranty on my car. Hopefully, that won't change.

The customer service representative I spoke to was very knowledgeable about the product I purchased. He also made sure that I received the best offer possible. He was not pushy trying to sell me on the product that I was inquiring about which left me very comfortable in purchasing the product I chose.

I was looking at the paperwork that Carchex sent me and it does not add up to what they told me. They sent me the paperwork and it's 50,000 miles, which I do not agree with. I got to call back because I don't like being lied to and if I could get this straight, it'd be all right.

The rep who usually answers their phone is very pushy. He tries to push you into things and it's crazy. I recommended these two people to him and they called me and told me to not recommend them to Carchex anymore. They also told me that if I have any sense, I'll leave Carchex too. They said the rep was very nasty. I won't recommend anybody else to them because of that experience there with that guy.

I spoke to a real person and went over my options. He got me a quote and I'm very satisfied with the plan that was presented. All my questions were answered. The coverage gives me peace of mind.

I purchased a Warranty (Centennial Plan) on 11/26/21. I tried to use the warranty on an issue with my car regarding a failed “Window Motor” on March 10th, 2022. This is clearly covered under the Plan Coverage under Electrical components covered. I was sold on the premise that I can “Take your Vehicle to a licensed repair facility of Your Choice” which includes a dealer, that was confirmed since I take my car to the dealer for service.
The motor was covered but only at a fraction of the cost quoted by the Dealer, of which the “Shop Rate” was not covered as well. Even though I called prior to let them know I was bringing in the car for service and asked what I need to do for the warranty be initiated by the repair facility. I was told “to have them call prior to anything being repaired, and that all I will have to pay is the $100 deductible”. This was not the case they were only willing to pay the following:
• Half of the shop rate• A fraction of the covered part
• Part of the total time of repair
The Royal Administration Services Representative known hereinafter as (RASR), the underwriter for the policy’s excuse is they found a cheaper part cost and relayed to the dealer to order from a specific website. Anyone who works for a dealer or any other repair facility, knows that all repair facilities have specific procurement process’. They also would know that there is a repair book that has all times for part replacements, of course some may be 1-2 tenths of any hour difference due to an ordered process of removal vs any shortcuts along the way, this removes the chance of breaking something to squeeze out a part.
RASR said I would have to pay the difference of the cost voiding their claim “Take your Vehicle to a licensed repair facility of your choice”. I spoke to a Colleen from RASR and asked her provide me a facility they recommend due to the issue experienced above so I don’t have to go through the same issue again. She provided Brake World, Firestone and Honest Once Care.
Fast forward to 12/28/22, I brought the car to Brake World for the exact same issue, and once again gave the same run around with the Shop Rate $139.99, Total repair time 1.7 vs 1.3, and the part cost dictating to repair facility to order from this particular site or me to order the part then bring it to them to install, was told to me by the RAAR, Dennis, knowing that is not feasible as they won’t certify the repair or cover under warranty if I chose to do so. Interestingly enough, in speaking to the RASR, (Dennis), I asked why was the Shop Rate not covered in whole, per my request from the other RASR, that provided me the repair facility. He mentioned their Shop Rate was $199.99 and they will only cover $134.99. This struck me as strange as Brake World Displays the shop rate clearly as they are obligated to do.
I called to confirm, and they provided me the invoice, of which clearly states $139.99 shop rate vs the $199.99 that was provided to me by the RASR. There was clearly a miscommunication not sure where, but the RASR said their intake form is verbal from the Repair shop. Further discussing with the RASR, on a mutually recorded phone conversation, the RASR was very combative. I explained to him now knowing the actual shop rate, I won’t have an issue covering the $5 difference in the shop rate vs $65 difference RASR claims is the Shop Rate. The RASR agent would not consent as to the veracity of the intake knowing the Rate is incorrect.
I clearly asked Dennis, if I can ask repair facility to resubmit with the actual shop rate to get the car repaired since I have no way of confirming that the shop provided that info or their intake person misunderstood and he said “you can have the shop call in the claim or resubmit but in the likelihood, it won’t change anything”. So, they would cover the original rate they took down in error not the correct shop rate with proof. Please note I called RASR and spoke to another person on the 29th, and she said the shop rate was $180, and when I asked Dennis to confirm the Rep’s name he would not, and only stated we have no one with that name even though I may have had the name incorrect, only stated we have no one working with that name. Not very pleasant at all, but indicative of their policy.
Stay away. I would ask the following for those who are considering an extended warranty. 1. Do you have a Shop Rate maximum you would cover. 2. Which governing book for repair do you use; this dictates the time they are willing to pay for a particular repair or lower. 3. If a part needs replacement, do you cover a part on an average around the country or lowest being used or certified repaired, New, and what cost. 4a. If you find a part lower, do you have a parts company you use, or will recommend if not covered under the shop’s normal procurement process? Keep in mind, most won’t do so due to liability. If they do, beware trying to claim again with CarChex RASR as they will most likely only cover a portion then throw at you it would be covered but seems like it’s a defect and won’t cover at all, good luck in trying to prove that otherwise to them. Stay away!!

I talked to Kevin over the phone to get an extended warranty back in November 2022. He sold me the policy and he assure me that if I don't like the policy, I can cancel it within 30 DAYS. Well the following day I emailed Mr. Kevin to cancel the policy and to this date he or his company hasn't refunded my money. Now they keep taking the payment for a policy that I requested to get cancel the following day. I have called Kevin, I have called the company, I have emailed the company on their cancellation page, with no response. Give me my money back.

Mechanic was unable to get approval for repairs, he called on Thursday and it wasn't until Monday before getting answered after numerous attempts being placed on hold. Then when it came time to pay mechanic, I paid $100 deductible and was shocked that refused to pay 100% of part, credit for $88 & I had to make the difference of $50. I made 2 phone calls, both times after 15 minutes on hold, left messages & so far no return calls! If you purchase a warranty plan from Carchex, be prepared to suffer frustration!!!

Signing up with CARCHEX was pretty much straightforward and easy and it’s affordable as well. The rep told me my initial payment amount, and what it would be every month. We went over it in some more detail. There wasn't anything that was not comprehensible. He said I got the front-to-back coverage, so it probably is gonna cover the entire car.

My contract effective date: 07/19/2022. I have been calling for days. Steven ** will not answer my calls or messages or respond to emails sent. Steven opened my account. Also no one in your company will answer my calls. I believe my phone number is in your server and automatically Disconnects when I call. Now that you know I have canceled on - Dec. 6th 2022 You no longer communicate with me. Not a nice trick. Not what anyone would consider to be a reputable business practice. It akin to telemarketing type scams of the 90s. I open, Now I wish to cancel.. company refuses And keeps charging me. Tell me..do you really believe there's no legal remedy here? Oh that's right you don't respond.

I had a good experience with CARCHEX. They walked me through and got me a good deal. The plan they had offered sounded good. I've told them never had an extended warranty before, so I was trying it out. The rep told me I could cancel at any time. If it doesn't work, I'm gonna cancel it.

I bought the best coverage which is Titanium for $4.5K, a year later when I had two legitimate claims for $1300 (after me already paying them over $1k) in total... They were going to pay only for a 2-hour job that takes 4, $115 per hour instead of what the dealership charges and not even cover an OEM part. So I had to pay $1000 out of pocket and they would cover $300? Who needs such a warranty?? That's just another scam.

The application process was very easy. The reps were really pros at this. I could tell they knocked out a lot of sales per day. They were so efficient. I made them send me some documentation first, and they sent me a very detailed contract in an email and convinced me they were real, so I signed up. Then I got the contract in the mail.

Initially, my experience with Carchex was good. But it hasn't been so good since. I was looking for some protection for my car because I was under the impression that my current warranty was getting ready to expire. But I dug deeper into my current policy and it doesn't expire for a year. I have another 5,000 miles on it. I don't drive the car that often, so I decided rather than buying a new policy, I would hold on to the one that I have.
It's been within seven days since I signed up and I haven't even gotten the contract from CARCHEX yet. I sent that in an email over to the team requesting cancellation last week. I spoke to someone on Monday and they said they were gonna send me a cancellation form. But I have been calling every day since Monday to speak to someone and haven't been able to get to someone. My intention was to come back with them within the next year after my policy expires. But based on the experience that I just had, I'm definitely not coming back. It was so easy to sign up, but it's now pulling teeth to cancel a policy, which gives me pause on doing business with these guys.

I had a warranty with Endurance, and I enjoyed it but when my car broke down, they didn't want to fix it because of a bag that was in my car, so I went to look for another extended warranty company, and I came up on CARCHEX. I spoke with a representative. He seemed pretty knowledgeable. My thing is I tried to cancel this thing because I and Endurance settled our differences and for some reason, I cannot get a refund, which was taken out on the 1st and not the 2nd as I asked.

The guy that I worked with made me feel comfortable, and communication-wise, he got back to me immediately. The only thing was that I wasn't able to find what was exactly included in the plans, but they were able to email me everything and the differences. I got three different quotes, from the plan I picked, the plan below that I picked, and the plan above that I picked. Then they gave me the breakdown of each thing that was covered.

I had a telephone call with a gentleman from CARCHEX and he quoted some prices, which were fairly high but I could live with. He then sent me an email to confirm his phone discussion and each, for five years, was $1,000 higher than what he had quoted on the phone. It took about a week to work that out and that didn't thrill me. Eventually, CARCHEX honored the original price that I was quoted on the phone.
I've had other plans on vehicles so I'm familiar with the program. For older vehicles, it's very basic coverage. It's mainly your drive train and key points. It's a limited coverage policy. I went with Endurance's four-year policy, largely based on price. I don't expect to have the car beyond four years. I just received the policy yesterday. There's a 30-day and 1,000-mile waiting period. I still need to look at the policy itself and get a few questions answered about what's covered and how you apply for coverage and things that I don't exactly know at the moment.

Probably the WORST company I've ever dealt with. Carshield is who they use. Carshield has horrible reviews online. I see why they use Carchex as the name for the company to cover up because there aren't as many bad reviews about them. My car has been in the shop for over 33 days. They keep giving me the runaround, I feel they are trying to find an excuse not to pay. Everything in my contract states that this is covered. I will get a lawyer involved if they don't pay. I have the time and the money. I'm ready to fight against this horrible company. I will not let them take advantage of me like they are doing with so many people. Do me a favor and stay far away from this company. They are 100% a scam.

CARCHEX didn't come through as a high-pressure sales tactic. They presented things and answered questions that I had. They did not go, “Oh, if you don't do it today, you're going to lose a discount of such and such,” or different examples they would come up with. But CARCHEX needs to make it clear and upfront that there is a period of one month or 1000 miles that you're actually paying for that is excluded that you can't turn a claim in. They're all good at sidestepping that issue.
My policy with CARCHEX should be here within a week or so. By then, I will be able to evaluate if I really want to keep it or if I want to cancel it. I'm going to go over the policy once I get it and scrutinize it to make sure what I have been told is actually in black and white. I want to see what they exclude from warranting. It's easy for the other firms to say, “Yes, this is what's covered under warranty.” But there are things that fall through the crack that gets overlooked. For example, omissions and things of that nature.

Carchex was able to apply a lot of discounts for me. They said, “We are running a Cyber Monday deal. You’re calling the day after, but we're gonna apply the discounts.” They were very reasonable for the cost. I was getting the same coverage for almost half the price of another provider. The rep was also very nice. He explained everything and answered all my questions. I put him on speakerphone so my husband who's always very leery of people selling insurance could listen. I told him to tell me what were not covered because I wanted to know what I'm gonna have to pay out of pocket for. It was easier to hear what's not covered versus what is covered. He said it's a bumper-to-bumper warranty for my car.

CARCHEX was a nightmare to cancel. I signed up in the evening. Then the next day, we went and bought our car and discovered that we already had all that warranty on it. So, we didn't need what I had signed up for. So I called back to cancel it. It was wonderful when I signed up but then when I tried to call back to cancel, they kind of gave me an attitude. I spent a couple of days trying to cancel it but it was finally canceled now, so it's all done.

I had to settle for a policy that is very expensive! I had to cancel CarShield at $110/ month (very affordable) then had to cancel Omega because I was conned into this program thinking it was Zurich at $110/month. $140 is very expensive. Hope I don't have to cancel because of affordability!

I did a check on feedback and on reports on who was satisfied with Carchex. The sign-up was very easy. I talked to a gentleman and he was full of a lot of information. He told me a lot of stuff so I felt very confident with him. I went with the best policy there was for what I have. If something happens, this policy is very valuable. If nothing happens, then it's a waste of money.

I just purchased Carchex and there's a waiting period. Everything's good. I talked to customer service right after for some questions and they did a very good job explaining it. I only have one concern. Carchex is not really the policy facilitator and they sell it to other companies. I'm worried that there will be issues over there.

I've had my hands on my motor too much and I was getting tired of trying to fix it myself. Carchex was just a precautionary measure in case something worse were to happen. It would save me time, effort, and money. The initial gentleman I spoke with was very upfront and very welcoming. He was able to help me understand what I was looking into and was able to explain to me the needs that I was asking and made sure that I understood it all. He turned me to his supervisor because at first because I didn't really like the monthly payment. They were able to get me to a payment that I was able to agree upon. They initially wanted 200 something every month and that was a little out of my price range so they got me down to about 170. I was more comfortable with that. It’s an extended time period of paying but it's better than over 200 a month on top of the 300 that I already paid for my car.

I found an email from CARCHEX so I gave them a call because I went online and I saw that CARCHEX was higher rated than Endurance, which I initially worked with. The representative that I talked to pointed out something very important, which is the limit of liability. I wasn't aware of that. My car is a 2011 BMW and it's a beautiful car. It's not new and it's only gonna go lower over time. The limit of liability to the value of the car renders the policy useless. By the end of the policy, you would have paid more money for the policy than what the car is worth. If you're gonna cover me for $5,000 and charge me $600 for the policy upfront, this is a scam. CARCHEX offered a $15,000 limit of liability, which is more than enough to fix whatever happened with the car. Even if it's something with the engine, the warranty still covers it.
The rep I spoke with was perfect. He was very clear about what he was explaining. I reached out to him a couple of times on the call and he always answered. He was very informative and very respectful. I really liked the experience. The only thing with CARCHEX was I didn't get an email with my policy. Endurance sent me an email with the booklet type of thing. With CARCHEX, I got an email with a separate contract and the representative told me that I would be getting the actual policy in the mail. It's no big deal but I would have liked to get the actual policy.

Fred, the rep I talked to over the phone, was a nice guy. But yesterday, I called Carchex to try to cancel my extended warranty because I found out I’m going to sell my car and I got transferred four times before they finally just stopped answering the phone. So, I haven’t even canceled it yet.

I had a good and very helpful experience with the rep who set up the coverage for me. It was explained that I could use it in any place I wanted to take it to and it was in the basics of the policy that I had to wait 30 days or 1,000 miles. Carchex seems like they have good quality products.

They explained everything in full detail when I was signing up and I was happy with what they had. I liked the package deal that I got. They told me I had to make my first payment upfront with my credit card and after that, they're gonna start taking the money out every month for three years. I have to pay for three years but I have five years' worth of coverage. Carchex is a good company and they have great customer service.

The reps at Carchex were good. I got what I wanted. I have a bumper-to-bumper coverage and I have to have so many miles before I can use it. I had one small problem but it was a computer-generated error. The policy wasn't completely filled out correctly in the book. They spelled my street address wrong and they had a couple of other little errors but the rep said he got it corrected and he’ll send me a new copy.

The rep broke the coverage down by years and mileage, and gave additional packages that may be suitable for my needs. I was very much satisfied with the coverage I signed up for. I'm very apprehensive about certain things especially with extended warranty programs because they can tell you one thing and it's something totally different. I was skeptical about Carchex because it's almost like they're stupid to be true. I'm just waiting for the catch. But Carchex is a good program.

Once the contact is made though getting results needed is usually very timely. I have been very happy with the Carchex company overall. I would and have recommended them to my friends.

After I set up my policy with a CARCHEX rep, I called back to ask some more questions. I spoke with a different salesperson and apparently, the person that sold me the contract was not honest about some things. He told me that I was covered for certain things but when I went over the contract to try to understand it more clearly, that person divulged to me that it wasn't covered. The first rep was telling me that I was covered for 100,000 miles but he didn't tell me that the mileage that I had on the car was going towards that 100,000. I thought that I was covered from the miles that I had on the car, 100,000 from that, and that wasn't the case. So, I wound up canceling.

CARCHEX reps have always been very professional and helpful in providing answers to questions that I've had. One of the persons that I talked to was also helpful in that they shared things that you want to look for in the process of shopping for a warranty. They sent the necessary documentation promptly and it covers most of the things that we had discussed on the phone. I was comfortable with the price of the package, too. So, at this point, I'm pretty satisfied with my experience. I would tell my friends that this is a place that they should at least check and investigate.

I called Carchex and talked to Tasha. I loved that girl. She had my ear. I told her that if I do bumper-to-bumper, I'm not gonna get this and that covered. But she said they take care of the little things too like the sideview mirrors and headlight system. And I told her to sign me up.

When I signed up with Carchex, it was fabulous. You have to wait 30 days, and then plus, put 1,000 miles on your car before it starts. But I'm really happy. I liked my rep. So far, the experience has been incredible.

I was contacted by Brandon on Halloween October 31st. He pressured and pressured and would not get off the phone until I gave him a $50. He said, "You can cancel if you're not happy." Well then very next day I could not get through to any customer service all day long. He refused to send me the information that I wanted I kept blowing me off. I told him I want to cancel. This is starting off terribly. I was told that I would be refunded my $50 by the third or fourth. It's like a week later. I can't even get a hold of anybody. Nobody will respond. The only line that'll answer is sales and then they'll transfer me to customer service which never answers. They were trying to charge me $7,000 for a very limited warranty that didn't cover what he said.

I don't have all my paperwork. They said I would be receiving it in the mail. But I have not even received that yet. But they were very responsive. I was also happy about the seals and gaskets because this was an older vehicle and I knew that the choices were going to be limited. So that was a big deal for me.

I purchased my contract in april of 2022 with Carchex and my car went in the shop and the shop had to call American Auto Shield to get the problem paid for and they keep telling the mechanic whenever my car goes in the shop that I don't have a active contract so, I called the place I make my payment to and I asked them who do I have a contract with and they said, "You make your payment to us and your contract is with CARCHEX but your service goes under Amer auto shield" and both company said I don't have a active contract. So I said, "Why am I paying Paylink" and paylink told me what my contract number is with carchex.
To help me out paylink called carchex to get someone on the phone to see what's going on and they couldn't get anyone to answer the phone.. As of today 11.8.22 I need all my money back since April.... I'm not paying for a contract I don't have and if I didn't have a contract why didn't carchex inform paylink that I didn't have a contract and allowed them to bill me each month....

I purchased Carchex, but then after reading the contract, I canceled it and got a refund. The experience was good, but the contract didn't really cover anything. If the transmission would go out, it wouldn't cover the whole transmission. It would just cover the part that went out. To break the transmission down to fix that, it won't cover it.

I went on the phone looking for somebody to go with because I had been to the dealership, and nobody ever got with me. I had been trying to find something for quite some time and I had just kept dropping off and not doing it. I decided that I would go ahead and do it and Carchex came up. It was recommended on the thing, and when I went and looked at some of the others they had, the rating was not where it should have been. The man from Carchex was very thorough with me on the telephone. He told me what the company would do and what they would do if something happened. He was clear with all of that with me and he let me ask questions to see what I thought about it. I got my information with the contract in the mail from them.

I took my car in because my A/C is not blowing cold air. The service center calls Carchex for authorization. The cost of the repair is around $1700.00 and they only authorize $900. I called to find out why and the lady on the phone is short with me. Says they are allowed to authorize whatever amount they want. I tried to get a better explanation, but did not receive one. I felt like she was put out because I questioned her. I feel like she felt I should be thankful for whatever she authorized.

I used to go through CarShield but I was hearing some bad remarks about them so I tried to find others that take insurance. I had talked to three or four other people and they wouldn't give me the price that I was looking for. I called Carchex and the guy that I talked to was really friendly. Great experience, very personable and knowledgeable, overall good experience. Warranty pricing was much more reasonable than a warranty from the dealership. I was a mechanic for many years and have reached the age of achy back and knees don't want to work on my vehicles anymore so this is my first experience with an extended warranty. We'll see if the ease carries through if and when I ever have a claim.

CARCHEX was expensive at first but they gave me a deal that was in my range at the time I applied. My rep was very good and signing up was easy and fast. I was gonna cancel a couple of weeks ago because there were some bills that my ex-wife just started doing. But they gave me a break and were gonna hold my payments for two months. Then, I could pick up from where we left off.

With the costs that Audi would have, they put me on the platinum plan. The signup process with Carchex was very easy. I added Carchex services on 10/31/2022. However, I quickly learned from the service mechanics at Jaguar that they would not accept Carchex warranty services. The reason given - Carchex doesn't pay claims and doesn't make it easy to submit for services and repairs needed for your Jaguar. I learned that if I keep Carchex Jaguar would not accept it. Therefore, I called to cancel on the same day that I joined with them 10/31/2022 and everyone at Carchex continued to hang up on me. The guy in the loyalty department argued with me because of the information I told him about... Jaguar dealership not accepting them as a warranty company. The guy then hung up on me.
Rather the information is true or not that all Jaguar dealership will or will not take this particular warranty provider, I had a chance to see how the people at Carchex will treat you even if you had to cancel for some other reason. Advice... If you are not getting the warranty at the dealership, check with the car dealership service department regarding what warranty provider they accept before buying any warranty.

I cancelled my subscription because Carchex sold me a policy on my 650 a year ago and I didn't get what I asked for. So now I'm stuck with a bill for repairs because they stated that what was going on with my car couldn't have happened over a year's time. They said it happened over ten thousands of miles ago, which I have seals and gaskets repaired. So I was trying to get a refund because they sold me something that was not what I asked for. And as a customer, I'm pissed off because that’s gonna cost me out my pocket. The car wasn't even giving me any problems. I just noticed that when I'm sitting idle and if I crank it up in the morning and I back up, it smokes a little bit, but not a whole lot. They said those cars are known for that but because I had extended warranty, I took it to the shop because it's a preventive thing for me. I don't want to keep driving it and ignoring it. If something happens, I've got a bigger problem.
Carchex denied my claim and I was very upset. I have four cars that I pay every month for coverage and that was a rip off. As a customer, I would put it in writing that I want a refund back 60 days prior. But in reality, I had it a year. I paid into it and never used it other than this time. I've never even used the warranty. I should get for that particular car everything that I paid. I pay money into something that they sold me.

I had a guy named Shawn helping me out. He was perfect. He told me I had options with payment and I could do auto-pay or pay my bank. For me to use the warranty, Shawn said I had to wait 30 days and have 1,000 miles on the car.

The rep was informative but I did not like that they would not let me see exactly what the policy covered until after I already purchased the program. I asked If I could have that sent to me or if there was something I could look at online. And the rep said not until I pay them for the program. That was a little silly. But they said that there was a 30-day buyer's remorse or I could return or cancel the policy within 30 days without any penalty.

Everything was fine and the only thing I didn't like was the rep didn't tell me they were going to take the money off my account before the 26th. When I called the bank to check on a check that I had written, the lady said I had an overdraft from Carchex. They weren't supposed to take that out and I've got the CARCHEX that they sent me that said till the 26th. I just forgot about it because I had a lot of stuff going on.

It's horrible with Carchex. They are very proper and informative, until they get the payment. After that, when you try to contact them, there's no customer service. I was trying to contact them to ask questions. I tried it for a week and a half but couldn't get in contact. The only time that I heard from them was when they wanted the payment. They were very nice, but by that time, I was so frustrated with the service. I didn't want any part of it. When I told them about my dissatisfaction, the rep abruptly got so rude and just switched me over to the cancellation department. He didn't even bother to give me a chance to ask me why I wanted to cancel. I'm trying to get a confirmation on my cancellation but I had not heard from them as of yet.

It's 27 pages long, so while I'm on the phone with them, I can't really read it. I'm waiting to get in the mail whatever membership literature they offer. I got a call last night from another one of the three companies I looked into and they wanted me to switch. This is the third contract I've had with Carchex and in the previous ones, they were good. They cover a lot less for a lot more money but at least I know it's good. When I had my claim with them years ago, I had no problems. Also, because I'm paying it off one shot, I'm getting some sort of discount. The policy that they gave me didn't even exist. They made it up for me as a return customer. The one I wanted that covered all that stuff would have cost some more than the other policy would have. They got rid of the stuff and lowered the price. They really went up and above the call of duty.

He knew what he was doing as far as explaining the different products and services versus another company's offering. However, with Carchex, it says unless you had an issue or unless you had that piece put in the contract, it wasn't covered. I went back to United Car Care and they took care of it.

I felt like I could find a better warranty than the one that dealer was offering and I called Carchex while I was at the dealership buying the car. I got an entire extra year plus extra coverage, and it was cheaper than what the dealership was trying to charge me. If I couldn't have gotten it, I wouldn't have bought the car. The process with Carchex was a lot nicer than I thought it would be.

I signed up with a policy back in August and they took funds out of my account. I called in October to see about filing the claim and they said that they never finished processing the order because the rep no longer works with the company. So they re-signed me up with the new policy. Not the same policy nor the same coverage for more money. They said the rep no longer works with the company and he messed up the first order I asked him about when they took money out and I put it back to the back D and they said no so they re-charge me again without totally different policy with less coverage and more money. This is a clear case of bait and switch and predatory business practice.

My wife and I are getting divorced and hopefully, I'm going to be awarded the car. So, I’ll have to cancel Carchex. But they were helpful, prompt and good. So, once I get an actual vehicle of my own and if it doesn’t come with an extended warranty, I probably will be calling Carchex back. I wonder if you could transfer it. But I'll probably be transferring it to whatever vehicle I get. The mechanics I've talked to said they take them. So, it's good to have. That way, I'm not spending thousands of dollars out of pocket to get my car fixed whenever it needs it. It was a great experience with Carchex from the interaction with the reps and talking to them, getting it set up, getting it paid for and working with payments.

I picked Carchex because there seemed like less bad reviews on that than some of the other ones I saw. I watched some stuff on YouTube about different insurance carriers and some of my candidates get some bad reviews on some of them. The girl from Carchex was good and I liked her. After I talked to the wife and emailed the girl back, I asked her the different kinds of plans they had because it's a used car, but I didn't wanna go too much with it. So, I selected the bonds and plan. She was nice, helpful and gave me all the information I asked for. I just got Carchex. If the car runs fine for four years, then that's no big deal. But if something happens, then I have some help to pay for the bills.

I'm trying to figure out what plan I have with Carchex. It's a little vague. The rep said I have the whole enchilada but they don't specifically say exactly what you have. They're general. Also, they quoted one price, but on the next billing cycle, I got a different price. He told me it was the tax. He should've told me that because it went up quite a bit. The plan is a little pricey, but if they cover everything they're supposed to then it's good.

I spoke to Richard ** on October 19, 2022 and set up a contract for car coverage. The service contract number is **. Later on the day I spoke to Rich to cancel the contract and he transferred me to Customer Service. I was cut off before I was able to speak to anybody. Since then I have tried five times to call customer service and have been cut off every single time. I also sent an email to cancel this contract, but I’ve still not heard from anybody. Rich ** said he would send an email to cancel the contract and I still haven’t heard anything from anybody. I am very disappointed with the customer service and want to cancel this contract. Rich told me I would have no problem canceling this contract if I did it within 30 days of agreement. And I tried to cancel it on the same day that I made the agreement. Whenever they offer you a plan, it's like a specialized plan for you and nobody else. Either you take it or you don't take it and it won't be available if you don't take it. Also, the wording on the contract they send is a little misleading. The rep explained that I have the platinum coverage and everything is covered but it's specified that there is a certain amount for labor unless you have a different plan that covers it. I almost canceled because of the way that the contract reads. But after the rep explained to me, I said, "Okay," and I kept the warranty. Definitely check CARCHEX out.

I have a used car and I took care of my first expense before I got CARCHEX. I was on the phone with them and they seemed to tell me that everything that I could possibly imagine would be handled. During the purchasing process, they called me a lot. I let them talk me into buying this policy. But I became disappointed and disillusioned because I assumed that they were gonna stand behind their product. It didn't turn out that way, so I am not happy. My second expense came up for the transmission but because of something that a mechanic back in the summertime said about the transmission shifting funny, CARCHEX stopped my car from being fixed. That upset me because I didn't realize that that was a precondition. When it came time to actually use the policy, we got our backs turned on us.
The simplest thing would be do what Progressive does and send out one of those little chips where you just plug it into your car and it tells you anything that's wrong with the car before you even make the purchase. That way, CARCHEX and the customer are not wasting their time and everybody's on the same page. That would make things a little bit simpler.
I always had some kind of warranty company behind every used car that I bought in the past 13 years. This is the first time that I actually had to use anything through the warranty company. My expectations were that even if CARCHEX didn't take care of all of it, they will take care of most of it or even some of it. But they flat out denied the claim. This is not worth spending this kind of money every month. We didn't benefit from the warranty and at this point, we've decided that we are going to cancel the policy. I bought a used 2019 Honda Accord and got a different warranty company because I was not about to book the same thing again.

I'm thinking about canceling because there was a miscommunication. The sales guy was so much interested in me getting the policy that he didn't explain or understand what I was saying to him. He told me something about there will be a point where I wouldn't even be making payments anymore, which I thought was odd. He sounded desperate. He didn't do anything as far as ask me about billing. It put my payment schedule in a bad situation where they were asking for a payment after I told them that I wanted the payment to be around the 11th or the 12th of every month. They said they were gonna go back and see if they can change it. I never got an email back so I don't know what's going on with my policy. Carchex needs to have their salespeople not be sounding so much like, “I need to sell this policy,” but more of explaining the coverage better. They'll get better results that way.

American cars are not really set up to be what we were expecting 40 years ago when I first started driving. With the extensity of the cost of the vehicle, it dawned on me what would happen if I get caught in a situation where I need that help. I found CARCHEX on the internet and I liked everything I was reading about them. With the way things are right now with the American economy, the coverage would be really helpful.
The sales rep was really professional, upfront, polite, and helpful. He left no webs in a dark corner. This is good service right here and I highly recommend it. I live outside of San Antonio and I travel to West Texas at least twice a month. If I get stuck somewhere between point A and point B, I have access to get a car for rental. If I run out of gas, I have that option as well.

Hi, On Thursday 9/22/2022 at 5:43 pm I called into Carchex then I spoke with a Carchex sales associate Jeremey **. I choose Carchex due to research ratings by multiple sources, the better rate / terms and the personable professional manner in which Jeremy ** conducted himself on the phone. With that said, this is where the Bro-mance ended. I called back on Friday 9/23/2022 at 4:28 pm. I called Carchex to speak with Jeremy **. I spoke with a female sale person who indicated Jeremy was on a call and the supervisor I spoke with was not available either. I asked for a call back and she said she would have either or both of them return my call due to the concerns I brought up regarding not informed of the increase in deductible from 100$ per occurrence to 200$, that would have been a deal breaker or further discussions of Options and I was not informed of the 30 Day 100 mile waiting period.
The waiting period is reasonable but not being informed is Not. The female sales rep asked if she could help and I explained and said those two items are not acceptable to not have made myself aware and transparency is something they strive for. I asked for a follow up when the call ended again at 4:48 pm. I did not receive a call that evening from anyone as my call log indicates and empty voice mail confirmed. Today is Wednesday 928/2022 at 1:45 pm and YET to receive a follow up call to my concerns brought up. I also emailed Jeremy ** speaking to my concerns and lack of follow up and why hasn't it occurred, venting a bit at him due he inability to respond? I will cancel this policy if not addressed with in 48 hrs. and choose Endurance, Car Shield or Empire if this continues and I will post on all social medias.

I took my truck to a local repair shop to have the right side exhaust manifold R/R as it was making a noise. The mechanic told me that the the manifold have a crack in it like it had rusted from the inside out, and it had warped a little. He was told that it would NOT be covered totally because of overheating. The contract that I have with Carchex states that the manifold is covered, but in the exceptions clause (not covered if due to excessive heat).
Since it was rusted from the inside out and had a crack in it I believe it should have been fully covered and it was not due to ANY excessive heating that is was due to time and materials and getting hot and cold (not excessive Heat) every time it was driven. I tried customer service. They did not understand, I believe they trained to project a worse case when talking to the customer.
I tried to contact one of the VPs of the company, I called at least 10 times and spend 2.5 hours on hold to no avail, he would not call me back and I was told he was too busy and like I am not but good customer service is take the few minutes to try to make the company happy. I now am thinking I made the wrong choice in extended warranty companies, and am thinking of cancelling what is left of the warranty. I am checking into other companies.

I've got extended warranty on all four of my vehicles because you don't have to worry. It just cost you $100 and you're done. The Carchex coverage is bumper-to-bumper, except oil changes and battery. The rep took the time to talk to me and explained it all. He just wasn’t trying to sell me something. He went into detail. If somebody spent his time like explaining it to you, it gives you better information.

Carchex had a better package than anyone else. It was great. The guy, Devin, took the time to explain to me everything that will be covered and what I was qualified for. He was on point with everything. You pay into other warranty companies for years, and then when it's time to get the car fixed, they’d figure out a reason of why they don't have to honor their part of the warranty. They'll find a reason. I pay the warranty every month and there’s a deductible. But the part is not under the warranty even though they said all engine parts. Devin has heard about those people too but Carchex doesn't do that. He took the time to tell me what specifically will be covered.

CARCHEX was one of the companies that I did not pay any attention to. I was looking at Endurance and CarShield and really focusing particularly on Endurance. When I got this very quick call from CARCHEX, I didn’t recognize the company’s name. At first, I thought it was a scam call. But after a few questions, I felt somewhat assured. The further we went into things, it was better.
The fellow that I talked to was dealing with someone who had not considered his company at all and yet he was still able to do a fair comparison without running the other companies down, which I appreciated. When a salesperson starts running other companies down, I shut them off immediately. The CARCHEX rep was super. He presented what he thought would be the best for me and I asked him for more options. He was very helpful about that and was willing to look at other options so that I could compare them with what he had presented at first.

My customer service experience with Carchex went well. When I signed up, I liked the fact that I didn't feel pressured to sign up. I was given time to think about it and look around and come back and then sign up. They weren't as extensive as some of the other companies I had looked into, which didn't bother me as much only because the amount that was given far exceeded the other companies that I dealt with. But I did not like the fact that I wasn't informed how long it would take before I could actually access the program. I didn't know the 90 days plus 200 miles out or the 30 days plus 500 miles. Other than that, it was okay.

I signed up last week, and the rep was very helpful and informative. He answered the questions I had regarding what Carchex has to offer versus some other warranty companies I spoke with. He was able to really clear things up and make it make sense. So far, everything has been fine. The main reason Carchex got my attention is that whatever your monthly payment was, that’s what you needed to make in order to get the policy going. A lot of the other companies I was calling, they have a deposit, or the first payment will be almost double of what the monthly payment is.

I had two failures early on after purchasing my Carchex coverage. I worked my claims through my authorized Honda dealer and the service writer there mentioned to me that he has never worked with such a professional company like Carchex. They were expedient in responding, great with communication, and extremely fair with coverage! My vehicle was totally destroyed this weekend in an accident, however no one was seriously hurt. I will tell you I will be replacing it with another similar used vehicle and will without reservation be signing it up with Carchex!!! They are a lifesaver and I cannot say thank you to them enough!

First, they said they would call me with my quote and did not do so for two days. Since I missed their call, I called them back. I spoke with a very professional and polite agent named Eric. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions before giving me a quote. When I was concerned that it was a bit too high, he put me on hold to discuss it with his manager. That's when everything went south.
Steve - the "manager" - is one of these old-school, pushy, rude sales types who wanted me to purchase NOW to get the special "deal" he was offering me. It wasn't much of a deal, first of all. But more importantly, when I told him that I like to read over everything in writing first before making decisions like this, he was very rude and said that I can purchase anytime I want, but the "deal" he got me was not for everyone, and I would have to pay now. So I told him I don't like to be pressured - BYE! He lost my business, and now I'm going with one of his competitors. He should've let Eric handle the whole thing on his own! We have way too many options these days to put up with people like him.

Took car to closest Mercedes dealer, 120 miles away. Display Screen not coming on. I thought it was a fuse. It was not. Dealer called Carchex for preauthorization, but was told it was not included in my platinum plan. Also saw on my carchex contract shows 200 dollar deductible not the 100 quoted my representative I got plan from. He also said all electronics in the car were covered. I called sales again and spoke to Patrick as if I was a new customer and gave him same info on make and model. He quoted me the same 100 dollar deductible on a four year payout platinum plan plus told me everything on my car except oil changes body parts were covered. I specifically asked about display for back up cameras and navigation. He reassured me that and all electronics are covered.
I then called carchex and after some time of being told this was not covered. I was transferred to a supervisor Ms **. She told me it is not covered. I told her I recorded both sales conversations with different people and both said it was and told her both quoted 100 deductible on a 48 mo. Payout platinum plan not 200 dollars contract came back with. She later called me back and said yes it is covered and that she would send authorization through so when dealer called they would get approval. The following Monday the dealer called carchex and again was denied..
I have sent 4 emails in over a week to the supervisor ms ** requesting that this be taken care of and to notify me. I have not heard back. If I do not have this approved tomorrow and the deductible changed to the 100 dollars as quoted to me this report will be filed with BBB. IF IT IS NOT CORRECTED AND APPROVED A LETTER OF COMPLAINT BY AUGUST 5TH BE SENT TO THE TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL.

First, in review of your call, our staff correctly advised you the deductible for your coverage was $200.00 per visit to the repair shop. This was repeated on the call when our representative summarized your purchase and asked if you agreed to the terms. While we offer Titanium level coverage through multiple contract administrators, many have differences including optional coverages and deductibles, your plan included the $200 deductible.
With regards to your repairs, the contract administrator was contacted by your shop on 7/18/2022 for a repair to your radio. According to the claim notes, the adjuster advised your repair shop the radio was not covered in error. The adjuster did not see the Technology group option included on your coverage which lists the Radio as an eligible repair.
You spoke with CARCHEX 7/21/2022. We sent proof the technology group optional coverage was purchased to the contract administrator who advised they updated it in their system. On 7/25/2022, your repair shop called back and was again advised the technology group in error. The adjuster was reading the prior notes and wrote that the shop was rushing him. We apology for these errors on behalf of the administrator. We have sent both errors to their Management team to address their staff as these errors have caused the delay in your claim.
The administrator advised they spoke to you today and verified the part numbers you provided are eligible for coverage. They are awaiting a call from your repair shop to enter the claim. Please have the repair shop call the contract administrator right away. We will ask the administrator expedite the claim.

I liked the service and the follow-up. I like the fact that being a repeat customer, CARCHEX took that into consideration to meet the needs that we needed for this particular vehicle. We had a little hiccup with the vendor. But what CARCHEX did was they made sure that we got the appropriate vendor to accommodate what our needs were. My representative followed up even the next day to make sure that I got the calls that I needed to get within the timeframe and that was it. It's better to have the protection plan and not need it than to need it and not have it. It was a great experience.

I signed up for repair coverage from this company. When I received the contract I saw that it had PAGES of excluded repairs, and many hurdles for the customer to jump through to get service. I also saw that the actual price was too much for me to afford. So I called them to cancel. The first number dialed kept me on hold for 30 minutes. That person, when I told him I want to cancel, transferred me to the "Cancellation Person". That number took 15 minutes to answer. That person kept me on the phone for a half hour, trying to convince me to remain with the company. He finally told me that he can't cancel on the phone! I have to receive an email and write a letter to the company in order to cancel. The letter asks for several pieces of information THAT THEY ALREADY HAVE!! Such as the VIN #, my address, year, make and model of my car, etc. These are all delaying tactics to prevent you from canceling, or to take another payment or 2 from the card you gave them. BEWARE!

With regards to the coverage terms and conditions, all vehicle service contracts including manufacturer warranties include terms and exclusions to coverage. While it may appear overwhelming on paper, we strive to be full disclosure. Additionally, many of the exclusions are common sense items for example our coverage will not cover repairs if you are in a vehicle accident. That is a claim for your car insurance company.

There was some miscommunication when I bought the warranty on the phone that the rep had told me that it would be 30 days or 500 miles before it came into effect. But when the service contract got here, it said 1,000. But it wasn't that big of a deal because the car seems to be in good shape. Other than that, the conversation was good. I wish CARCHEX would do more of communication through email. It would be nice to specifically email a customer something prior to making them pay for it so they could fully understand what it is they're purchasing. But I couldn't get an email sent to me that showed me what the coverage was until after I agreed to buy it and gave the rep payment, and then I got an email. That is something that I felt should be different. Other than that, the customer service was good.

CARCHEX did a good job in explaining the coverage. So, I asked them what it cost. They told me, and I told them I needed to make a decision and I would get back with them. The guy that sold the policy to me ended up giving me another discount after they talked to the supervisor. Later on, they mailed me the package over. I'd recommend CARCHEX.

I've had Carchex for another car and I liked my prior experience with them. They paid when it was supposed to be paid. When I signed up again, I sent a request for an estimate and multiple days went by but I didn’t get a call from them. I had gotten an email the second day that said they have an estimate and I should expect a phone call. But if I was in a rush, I could call them. I waited for a couple of days but still didn’t hear anything. Usually, somebody would be on it quickly. I ended up having to call them then I was able to get everything done. They were informative and the plan suited what I was looking for for my car.

I was impressed with the rep from Carchex. She seemed very knowledgeable, professional and answered all my questions. She seemed to understand the product she was selling and was thorough, except for one thing I asked her to check on. She was gonna call me back but I never heard anything else from her. I'm still in the process of deciding whether I'm gonna cancel Carchex because I don't know what they're gonna cover if they're gonna cover anything at all or if there's a loophole in this contract that says they don't have to pay. Their price for what I was getting was good compared to the others. So, I was pleased till I tried to read through the contract. Reading through it is so hard. If this wasn't that confusing to me, I'd be happy.

Everything was fine. The policy is $300 more than what I was paying. But I got a 0 deductible and hopefully, if the truck goes in the shop, it'll cover the things that need doing. But they did not send me a card with my account number on it that I'm required to keep in my wallet and my glove compartment. Other than that, so far, there are no problems.

The thing that I love about CARCHEX is my payments have been 106 consecutively. They haven't raised my rate. So, that's really helped me out and kind of been an incentive to keep it. If it ever were to go down, that would be even better but I'm just being very patient and consistently paying my bill. CARCHEX was the only company that would go as low as my bare minimum or my max, and they were really sweet. They offered me a $700 credit towards my policy. They were very calming. They kind of walked me through it and they understood what exactly I needed. I haven't had to use it but I'm thankful that I have it.
