Stacey Freed

Stacey Freed was a senior editor at Remodeling for nearly a decade. She now freelances for national trade and consumer publications, focusing on all aspects of the built environment from both the builder’s and the consumer’s side. Her writing has appeared in AARP.org, Real Simple, Beautiful Kitchens & Baths, Realtor and other publications. She has won a Neal Award for specialized journalism and several awards from the American Society of Business Publications Editors, and she’s treasurer of the American Society of Journalists and Authors. She is a fellow in Columbia University Journalism School’s 2023 Age Boom Academy.
