Wal-Mart Tire Centers

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I went to your Wal-Mart store to set an appoint with me for two tires for my car. The first man looked up my information, and gave me an invoice for the tire for $77.00 a piece. They asked if I want the hazard insurance, and I said no, and he gave me an invoice for around $173.00. I can't remember the exact amount, because upon my return the next day at 7 AM, I was the first customer of the day, because I was told first come, first serve. I got out of my bed (I work night shifts and get off at 3AM). The lady in the store went over the invoice I was given, and passed it on to the man, to put the two tires on my car. A few second later, an older gentleman came to me to tell me that the tire was not the right size for my car, however he could put some on that was in stock for more than $100.00 a piece.

I asked if there were some in my size, 16 inch rather than the 15 inch that I had been quoted. He stated there was not. When telling the gentleman to put the tires back on the car, the lady that had helped me early came into the waiting area, and stated that she could get me tires that are better than the ones that I was going to get for $81.00 each, however she would have to order them, and they would be in that Friday. However, I informed them again that I worked nights, and would have someone bring my car on Saturday, to put the tires on the car. I became upset when I got my bill for $195.00 and some change. My son told me that he told Wal-Mart not to put anything on the bill that I had not authorized.

He said that I did not want the road hazard. At this point, because I have been a customer in your Wal-Mart tire department, I was never told that 3 months ago there is now a $6.50 each tire charge for a lifetime balance and rotation. Neither was my son told that this was a new charge that is now added, when purchasing tires for your Wal-Mart tire department. An extra $13.00, not counting $2.50 each for the tire stem, and $1.50 state tax, and another another $1.00 each tire fee, which totals to $81.00 each. I feel that you should make it a part of your service to tell people everything that is involved when purchasing the tires, not just the $81.00 per tire, but give them the choice if they want to pay $6.50 each for a lifetime balance, or go somewhere else, where you get this item free of choice with your oil change. Those $81.00 tires came out to be $91.75 each tire.

This is dishonest, and not a good business. I want the $13.00 back that I was never told, or given the option to say yes or no, and not wait until I come back and ask questions concerning the charges, and be told by a smart mouth that they could take the tire off, and refund me my money back, knowing the tires that was on my car was no longer around. I am very upset, and dissatisfied, and will tell all my lady friends to be ware of how you handle your women customers.

On Dec 29, 2011, we got two new tires at Walmart on my daughters Blazer. Two nights ago, the tire fell off while she was driving. She was not injured, thankfully, but she was on a dark country road. The lug nut holes show the lug nuts were lose. We were passed along to the claims department and are waiting a decision but after speaking with the claims adjuster, I am not hopeful. He kept saying, "Well, the car is pretty old." What does that have to do with anything? It was left with them in working order and is no longer drivable. I plan to warn everyone I can to stay away from their auto center!

My wife took our car to this store to have a new tire put on. She and my daughter left it in service, while buying groceries. When they went to pick it up, one of the employees told her they could not replace the tire. He said that a person prior to them taking there had stripped all the lug nuts. This is not true. We have not changed the tire ourselves. The car ran without any noise to Wal-Mart. When my wife tried to drive the car home, the car made an awful metal type noise. I attempted to drive the car, but only had to back it out of the drive. I drove it back into the drive, and parked it. That is how bad the noise is.

I called the store, and asked to speak with the manager. I spoke with a manager named Gary. I explained what had happened. He said he would look at the videos and call me back. He called me back. He said that his video showed them putting a "torque" machine on the wheel, and all it did was turn. I am not sure what that meant. He then said the worker told him the tire was split. He said that was the noise we were hearing. I told Gary that was not true, and he should not start lying about the car. I told him I would call the lawyer he sees on TV (Morgan and Morgan) if I had to, but that I just wanted to be compensated for what damage was done. He abruptly wanted to end the call, and said goodbye.

I called back and asked for the manager that oversees all the managers. I got Gary again. I told him I asked for the overall manager. He told me the manager's name was Kurt Phillips, and he was not there. He told me he was the manager when Kurt is not there. I called Geico, and arranged to have the car towed to Jenkins Nissan early in the morning (Monday, 1/16 about 7 AM) to have the damage investigated, and hopefully repaired. The next morning, the tow arrived. The driver showed me how they had left the tire loose. He explained that the noise we heard was the tire wobbling on the studs. He told me that their shop could get me the tire, and fix the car cheaper than a dealer. I agreed to let them repair the car. The studs and lugs were replaced.

Today, I went to Wal-Mart. I spoke with the manager, Kurt. He first told me they did not work on the car, and were not going to reimburse me. He told me that his manager, Gary, told him they did not. He refused to look at the stud and lug that I took out of the box, and wanted him to look at. He told me to "get that out of his face". I was appalled. I asked him if he had looked at the video. He admitted he had not. I told him he should. I told him they should not have ever let my wife driven the car, as unsafe as it was, with the lugs loose. He told me they could not tell my wife not to drive the car. He finally said he would look at the video, and would call me back in an hour. He did. He told me that his employee first tried a torque, and then tried a lug wrench to get the lugs off. He told me that his employee spent 15 minutes on the car. He still refused to compensate me. They never did offer my wife an invoice, which I also believe, is against the auto repair law.

After leaving Wal-Mart, I took the lugs to the Nissan dealership on Highway 33 in Lakeland, and asked for the best professional opinion of how the studs and lug nuts could be in the shape they were in. Doug in service, another service writer and a mechanic, all told me the cause was from the wheel wobbling when my wife drove the car home. They pointed out how the lugs were worn from the inside, and had brown lines around the inside from where the tire had been hitting against the lugs. A picture I took of the rim, they pointed out, was worn in the middle from the wobbling as well. The shiny silver area of the studs was caused from the same thing. I am lucky my wife, grandson, and daughter made it home safe. This seems to be quite a bit to go through for such a small compensation. Please advise. My number is **. Please leave a message if you reach my voice mail. I am seeking $182.00, which is the cost for labor, and parts to replace the studs and lug nuts, plus an additional $150 for my time.

I have been an owner of a Tire store since 1961 (family owned and operated). Wal-Mart tire operations are probably the worst business decision they have made. I was recently asked as an expert witness in a case for around 15 million against Wal-Mart for tire separation that the manager missed on a car, blowout with death involved. Over the last 20 years tires have changed and so has the danger. The techs that change them have got to be trained and have knowledge.

My two man tire techs have 25 years between them. Wal-Mart will be out of the tire business in 10 years because of the difficulty of it. It is a very serious issue today. I personally know a manager of a large Wal-Mart in my area. He has told me they never make a profit in that department. Most people do not know the tires are contract tires not even in a Michelin or Goodyear tire guide these tires are made to Wal-Mart specs. They are treading on a very slippery slope. Good luck Wal-Mart. You have bit off more than you can chew.

I had a flat tire I needed fixed and had my insurance tow my car to Wal-Mart to get it repaired or replaced. I knew I had a road hazard warranty but knew it might not cover this situation and I found out my use of tire sealant voided the warranty. No big deal. I'll just bite the bullet and have them put on a new tire, right? Wrong. They handed me the keys and told me to get my car out of there.

When I asked to buy a new tire, they didn't tell me and had refused to put it on the rim. After they charged me, they just plopped the rimless tire in front of me and said goodbye. When I asked why they would not put on a new tire, they claimed my use of the popular tire sealant "Fix-A-Flat". They meant not just that my warranty was voided but that they would not replace it either, claiming the sealant in Fix-A-Flat was a "hazardous material". Didn't matter that none of it ever touched the rim. The leak was on the tread, on the outside.

They actually directed me to Discount Tire and told me to get a new rim before they would put it on my car. $102 later, I have the rim but after chatting with the very nice people at Discount Tire, I discovered their policies are not ridiculous, like Wal-Mart's. After explaining my situation, the man actually refunded my money for the rim and put the tire I purchased from Wal-Mart on my rim for a very small fee. He saved me over $100 and made my day.

Wal-Mart was rude and they left me in the cold with nowhere to go. If Discount Tire hadn't been nearby, I would have been stuck. I understand the voided warranty. I do, but their refusal to even put a new tire on the rim, avoiding my car as if it had been contaminated with nuclear waste, was absolutely ridiculous. It also shows how little they know of the subject of tires. The assertion that Fix-A-Flat is a hazardous material has been debunked. Wal-Mart is going to lose a lot of business over such ridiculous policies. Not to mention the rude staff.

I went to buy 2 new tires and asked how much. The associate said $77.00. I assumed that was for 2 tires. I specified to remove both back tires. Was called later and told that I needed 3 tires but they only had 2 in stock. I again said to change out the back tires because the left rear had sidewall damage. When I picked up the car the bill was $174.00 because the charge was $ 77 per tire.

I was dissatisfied that it was not explained when I agreed to the tires. Also, I now have a flat front tire because they rotated them, did not take away the left rear, just put it on the front instead. Now I definitely need the third tire and need to have the spare put on the car just to drive it. I am totally dissatisfied with my experience at the Walmart at 66th & Memorial, Tulsa, OK.

I have been shopping at Walmart since 1974 when the size of the store was 1/4th the size they are today. I got so many complaints against Walmart that they know me by first name! Here is news flash for all of you: That shop at Walmart, when Christmas shopping begins at Wally World, every year they raise the price of bikes by $10 every season. I got a friend who works there and this person confirmed about the raising of bike prices! They sometimes forget to pull old price of some bikes and the advertised price is $10 higher below bike! After Christmas, they go back down $10. Now, they just started something new. They had an advertisement poster on Goodyear tires sales. Guess what? It is the same price as they had originally been. The Goodyear 205 70R 14 Viva 2 were priced $62.

I spend at least $600 a month including grocery side. I know the prices better than they do. I have seen prices in grocery go up anywhere from 15 to 40 percent on some prices! I asked the management about this and he said we are still cheaper than our competition! All you need to do is check, see Breyers ice cream. It jumps back and forth 250 to 3.25 all the time. Same as Gwaltney bacon, there is a shocker - watch it. Eggs 18-count jumped higher than a jack rabbit. A gallon of Wally milk in past few months jumped from 239 to 3.49! I could tell you over 100 items that jumped also but takes too long. Get a small writing tablet and keep track before Christmas prices and after back to the regular price, you will see the difference! I also got a news flash for all of you reading this; the prices are different in some locations!

This is the second time we have gone to the new Worcester, MA Wal-Mart store for tires, and the second time we have had to wait over 2 hours, to have the tires put on. This is a disgrace for such a large company to put their customers through. This time we just asked for our keys back, and left without buying any tires, after the long wait.

The workers in the bays are slowly taking their sweet old time, and talking with each other, rather than taking care of cash customers. Several people asked how long for an oil change, and was told at least 1 1/2 hours, so they just walked out. You are losing business because of workers who just don't give a ** about you, or your customers. Something should be done.

Be careful if you buy Walmart.com tires. They are likely only available at Walmart.com, which means if you need a replacement, you are going to wait 10 days to 2 weeks to get it. Sound right? Avoid the hassle. Buy elsewhere. Walmart.com has no means to expedite shipping. They have no way to help. They have bad business model for something important like tires.

I've been having my oil change done at Wal-Mart for the past five years. Didn't realize how much damage they have done to my car. Long story short, Wal-Mart has been putting the wrong oil in. My car system crashed finally last Saturday. VTEC system is malfunction. Mary, one of the managers from the Clovis, California stores was rude and also claimed that their computer system reads they put in the right oil (5W20) while my receipts said 10W30.

They don't even deserve one star! Wal-Mart Tire Center in Spencer, Iowa is a big joke! I needed an oil change and four new tires. I had called the day before to make sure they had the 4 new tires I needed. They said they had 22. I got there and they said it would be 1 and 1/2 hours. After 1 and 1/4 hours, they called me over the loudspeaker. They told me they only had 2 tires! I said I had called the day before to be sure they had them. I was told the computer now said they had 16, but they really only had two. It's so frustrating. I told them to put on the next expensive tires since they had 4 of those. A day later, 3 tires were losing air and the fourth one was completely flat. Are you kidding me? Now I'm calling someone else to come and help.

I had been warned about Wal-Mart Tire Center. Plus, there was another customer in there that morning trying to warn people away. I should have listened and am kicking myself now. These places need to be shut down if this is the type of service they provide. It's scary to put your life in the hands of these reckless people. I deserve just compensation for this experience. But I'll bet I'll never even hear a word back. Rest assured I will be sharing this experience with everyone I know, and will be asking them to share it with everyone they know and so on.

I took my truck to the Express Lube in Salisbury, NC and waited for one hour and forty minutes with only one other customer in the service bays. The technicians seemed to lounge around and "deliberately" lounge around.

I am looking for tires and Walmart has definitely been eliminated from my search. I will never use Walmart for any auto service again.

I purchased a new set of tires from Wal-Mart Tire and Lube approximately one year ago with Road Hazard Warranty. The front passenger side tire sidewall starting splitting around 1/2 of the sidewall. I took the tire to Wal-Mart for adjustment. After the clerk spoke to someone in the back, I was advised that the tire was under no warranty and they could do nothing for me.

I purchased a new tire and asked for the old tire to be returned to me. I also asked for them not to charge for the Road Hazard Warranty since they did not honor it.

I was not only was charged for the warranty, but also for the disposal fee, which they said they could not refund even though I brought the tire home with me. The only reason I purchased another tire at Wal-Mart was because I needed like tires on the front of my vehicle.

Walmart refused to rotate my 265R7516 snow tires because they were not the 165R7016 size that is placarded for my Suburban. It did not matter that they had put these same tires on the same car when I purchased the lifetime balance and rotation. I paid for a lifetime and received a one-time. This is not right.

I was 400 miles from home, away on an emergency situation. My car registered low air in one of my tires. I pulled over and put air in it but when I removed the hose the air started to run out of tire. I got it to stop temporary and ran to the Wal-Mart superstore to see if the technician could put in a temp fix for this or replace the valve so I could get home with my car. I knew the tires were bad. I had an appointment with a tire store in Rochester, NY and was waiting on the tires to be delivered. They are a very rare tire.

The manager refused to help me stating my tires were bad and he didn't want to be responsible. I had a backup tire in the car. I asked him to replace the valve and mount the spare tire. I would pay whatever it cost. He refused and said because the other tires were bad he wasn't going to touch it. I now have to drive home 400 miles on a tire that is leaking air.

I had an oil change at the Wal-Mart in Westminster, CA back in August. On my way home from that service, the oil filter blew off and I lost all the oil. The engine seized up and I was required to replace the engine. I filed a complaint. I was sent a letter stating that Honeywell made the oil filter, so it was their problem. They said that they sent the filter to Honeywell. Honeywell said that they did not receive it. However, the filter came off the car on the freeway and no one has the filter.

I bought four Uniroyal Liberator 225/75/15 tires for my Ford Ranger pickup. They rolled out the truck after mounting and balancing the tires. Well, the raised white letters on one tire were in mounted in and the other three were out. Absolute **! These are small tires by today's pickup truck standards and 3 of the wheels had 4 ounces of weight on them and one had 6 ounces. Yes, 6 ounces all on the outside of the nice Ford factory alloy wheels. They used the wrong type of weights too that were not suitable for Ford wheels. Then, I asked them why was so much weight needed? The person in charge said that it is common for 75 series tires to need a bunch of weight. I left and of course, there was vibration. I did not go back.

I took the truck to the nearest Ford dealer quick service department. The weights were wrong and when Ford got done balancing the tires, they told me every tire had to be remounted then rebalanced. Each wheel needed less than 2 ounces of weight. The price for the tires was very low but sometimes, the low price has consequences. The wheels had marks all over the outside and looked bad for being a 2-year old truck. I just look at it as a lesson learned. Just beware!

I went to the auto department to buy a new tire. Edwin asked me what size was my tire. I said, "I didn't know. You have me in the computer since I bring my cars here all the time." He looked at my tire then said, "We only have expensive tires for your car," as if I cannot afford the tire. I was taken aback by this. I told him, "I don't believe you. I come here all the time. You should have more tires. I'll check inside!" Mr. Edwin ** then yelled at me and said, "We don't sell cheap tires here!" I have credit cards and 300 dollars in cash in my wallet. Just because I am black female doesn't mean I am poor. I complained to the managers and contacted my lawyer considering racial discrimination. I would not let him work on my car. I was told by some of the employees there that he has several complaints concerning him. Why is he still there?! Thanks to James and the others who changed my tire and said how sorry they were. They all have problems with him.

On April 25th, 2011, I went to the Wal-Mart store at 2801 Northwestern Ave, West Lafayette, Indiana, to have a tire replaced that had been cut in a spree by an individual/individuals who was/were, apparently, unhappy about the outcome of a Purdue basketball game.

The tire that was placed on my car, however, had a slow, steady leak that got worse with time. I took my car to the Wal-Mart store that is on Commerce Drive in Lafayette, Indiana, at that time and stopped in to have it checked. I was informed at that time that it was a faulty valve stem which they attempted to charge me $15 dollars for (I successfully argued that if it was a faulty valve stem or if it was incorrectly installed that I should not have to cover that expense). This did not correct the problem so I took it back, again, and was told, again, that it was yet another faulty valve stem which they, again, replaced at no cost.

Once again this did not fix the problem and the tire went nearly flat as I was en route to an appointment at the VA hospital in Danville, Illinois. I was able to stop the car without damaging the tire as it still had 15lbs of pressure when I removed it from my car. I hurriedly inspected the tire after Id removed it and found nothing apparent to be the cause.

I quickly installed my donut, went to my appointment (late) and then drove back to the Wal-Mart store on Commerce Drive, again, to attempt to get to the heart of this problem. It was at this time that the tech who had removed my tire from the rim twice by this time to replace the valve stems, informed me that I had picked a nail up in my sidewall, yet, contrary to their standard operating procedures, this tech failed to present me with my tire to show me this alleged nail and I did not contest that at the time as I just wanted my car to be right so I could get to where I needed to be as I was late, again, for an appointment because of this continuing problem.

Therefore, I had to buy yet another new tire. Only this new tire, also, would not hold air and I was eventually told by this same technician that my rim had developed rust around the valve stem area and that I needed a new rim something he failed to notice every other time. This tech, in order to replace the valve stem and discover the alleged rusted out nature of the area around my valve stem on the rim, once again removed the tire from the rim and, this time, tooled the area around the valve stem opening to eliminate the alleged rust, and if he didn't damage the bead the first or the second time he removed it to replace the valve stems he did so at this time (which I find dubious) or, more likely, he further exacerbated the problem as I was now putting air in its daily to get to where I needed to be.

When I returned to the Wal-Mart store on Commerce Drive, yet again, the technician that had mounted the tire and replaced the valve stems was not present. The tech that was present removed my tire so that it could be placed on my new rim and discovered that there was an installation error that had damaged the bead on my tire. Therefore, it wasn't the valve stems or the alleged rust that had allegedly developed near the valve stem. It was human error and/or outright negligence.

The tech that informed me it was the rust stipulated that he had removed that rust from around the valve stem area and patched it in a way that should allow it to hold air until such time as I was able to procure a new rim. However, upon inspection of the valve stem area of my old rim I discovered that there was not sufficient rust present to justify the technicians claim and it was a 70 mile round trip that took me to Monticello, Indiana, where I could find a good, used rim. All for a trip I didn't need to make, fuel I didn't need to burn, and a rim I apparently didn't need to buy.

So due to seeming incompetence at both Wal-Mart stores in this area, but chiefly due to the incompetence of the tech who repeatedly failed to diagnose the problem with my tire, and his repeated removal of my tire to replace valve stems that weren't the problem, and due to the fact that he seems to have lied to me to cover his mistakes, I had to buy a tire that I should not have had to buy, put 75 miles on my car to buy a rim I did not need, missed several doctor appointments, and had to deal with the uneasiness of driving a vehicle that might have a blowout at any time.

I now believe that there never was a nail in my tire as he failed to comply with what was/is standard operating procedures by showing me evidence that supported his claim, that he knew he had damaged my tire, and that he didn't want to own up to having damaged it to his superiors so he concocted this story that caused me to put these unnecessary miles on my car and caused me to buy a tire and a rim I did not need.

If this is true, and I have come to believe that it is, he also put what he knew to be a damaged tire back on my car to cover his mistakes and subsequently put me in a situation where I could have placed myself, my family/passengers, and other drivers at risk had I had a blow-out going down the highway. For this reason I feel as my personal safety and the safety of my passengers as well as others on the road was purposely placed in jeopardy simply because this individual didn't want to admit he screwed up.

Therefore I feel as though I have been violated by the automotive department at the Wal-Mart on Commerce Drive as this individual, essentially, purposely put his hand in my wallet by making a false claim that was made for no other reason than to keep him from appearing incompetent and caused me to eat the tire he damaged as well as a rim I did not need, and the fuel I didn't need to burn as well as the time I didn't need to waste enduring this entire fiasco.
This technician therefore, put his hand into my wallet for no good reason other than to cover for his ineptitude. Had I walked into Wal-Mart and put my hand in their wallet by trying to take something without paying for it I would have been prosecuted for theft. When I pointed this out to Ron (asst mgr, last name unknown as are all the others who work there as they refuse to supply this information) and explained to him that this is what I feel his employee had done to me, I told him that I expected that employee to be fired. He then proceeded to tell me that they would most certainly not fire him but rather would coach this technician so that this would not happen to anyone else.

This, also, has caused me to feel violated as I would have been prosecuted and his employee is going to be coached but then by acting as he did this employee did improve the bottom line for Wal-Mart so, apparently they see him as an asset. So they greet you in the front, and throw you to the wolves in the back.

I also find their offers of a $14, $40, and $50 gift cards insulting as I am out more than that and the money I was forced to spend at Wal-Mart (as well as several other unnecessary expenses) because of this less than professional individual, could have been spent anywhere, yet they wanted to compensate me in a way that would force me to spend my money at their stores.

This is wholly offensive to me. The actions of this technician, in all probability, knowingly placed myself and others in jeopardy by covering for his mistakes. Management then compounded this by refusing to discipline an employee that, essentially, stole from me - and then to be offered a $14, $40, and then $50 gift card rather than compensating me for my actual losses is also insulting and as far as I'm concerned is tantamount to adding insult to injury. For these reasons I am seeking the maximum this court allows for actual damages and for the maltreatment by both the technician and the actions of management who didn't seem to care that I had been ripped off.

Furthermore, since I feel this technician willfully covered his mistakes to keep from appearing inept, he stole from me and I would like to ask this court to recommend that he be prosecuted for theft, and since the manager, Ron, was made fully aware of my concerns about this and has flatly refused to discipline this individual I would also like to ask this court to extend that charge to him so that corporate Wal-Mart will get the message that when they rip off their customers that they will face the same kind of prosecution as I would if I had ripped them off.

I took a newly bought truck to Walmart to have new tires installed. A young technician (I use this term very loosely) pulled the tailgate latch and allowed the gate to fall open on its own, breaking the cables and damaging the tailgate against the bumper. When I saw this, I confronted him and he said, "I guess we need a manager." The manager took the photos and statement, and said that Walmart was self insured and that they would take care of it.

After two weeks of phone calls, an insurer representative stated, "We are not accepting responsibility so sue us!" When I went to file a suit, I was told that it was $50 to file and there was a one-year wait. I paid for the repair myself ($1,100) and boycotted Walmart for years afterwards. The worst part was watching how the technician allowed the tailgate to drop on its own. If you can't even keep a job with Walmart Auto, you pretty much can't work anywhere!

I bought a new set of tires in February of 2010 at Walmart. I have always had them rotated and balanced and when I bought the tires, I got the warranty with them. I went today to get an oil change and to get my tires balanced and rotated again. First, they told me they can't balance and rotate them because I already need a new set. They told me they have no record of me doing my balancing and rotating there, so therefore, they can't replace the tires. Then, they told me they put the wrong size tires on there to be begin with, but can't do anything about it. I think they should be made to replace my tires free of cost because they are the ones who put the wrong size on there, in the first place.

On a Labor Day weekend (September 2011), I brought my son's car into Walmart Mitchell SD for two new front tires. Last night, one of them fell off at 60 miles an hour in Omaha, Nebraska. They found the tire, bought new lug nuts, reinstalled the tire and continued back to the college with a damaged car. The brake disc that bounced off the highway when the tire fell off has visually been damaged and will need to be replaced. The body of the car between the wheel well and the driver's door is damaged enough to limit the functioning of the door.

Walmart's local Mitchell store manager says that they will not pay because they do not have proof that they are at fault. They say that we needed to call them to come to the site of the accident. They say that their video of the tire install shows that they performed their duty adequately. They also say that because we did not have them recheck the lugs in the first 50 miles, we have no justifiable claim. Then, why did our tire fall off?

While on a visit in Las Vegas, Nevada, we decided to get an oil change done at your store (#2592) on Craig Road. At arrival, there was one car in the bay for tire replacement. We were instructed to drive up to the bay and wait for a service advisor. He took down the information that he needed and drove the car into the bay. A second car was behind us. After sitting in the bay for approximately 30 minutes, someone finally started the oil change on our car. I noted that there were three techs present, and one of them was disappearing all the time. At the completion of the oil change, I went inside to pay and was advised that the system was locked up. The cashier was waiting for a supervisor to come, which took another 30 minutes. Our time of arrival was 9:00 a.m. and our time of departure was 10:30 a.m. I feel that this is absolutely poor customer service and I am not likely to do this again.

On September 7, 2011at 16:44:33, I took my flat tire to store 0112 to be repaired. After the repair, I was told I had to pay $12.84 for the MS State Fee, tire disposal and the purchase of a new road hazard warranty.

In every Walmart I've been to, it's clearly posted the only time you can purchase a road hazard warranty is at the time of purchase. The Road Hazard Warranty states: "Replacement under the Walmart Road Hazard Warranty will be pro-rated based on the percent of usable tread remaining and the current Walmart price. This warranty only applies to the original purchaser and the tires mounted and balanced on the original vehicle and does not include tires dismounted from vehicle and remounted onto another vehicle. Note: If the original purchaser of the Road Hazard Warranty sells their vehicle, then the warranty is invalid."

The tire was put on new on July 2, 2011.The odometer reading was 14201. The odometer reading was 16291 on September 7, 2011. The warranty does not say anywhere that if the tire is replaced, the Road Hazard Warranty must be purchased. My problem is, I didn't go to Walmart to purchase a tire. The Warranty posted in your stores states clearly the only time you can purchase the Road Hazard Warranty is when you purchase the tire.

Why should I be forced to purchase a new road hazard warranty, if I want the coverage, when my visit was due to a road hazard? "Our pledge to you" does not reveal this is a charge that I would have to pay. I am the original purchaser, the tire is on the original car. The tire was not, nor has it ever been dismounted and placed on another vehicle. If I were to pay this charge, the warranty should state that.

The assistant manager Sharley whom I spoke with was trying to tell me, reading off the warranty, mind you, "This warranty only applies to the original purchase, not purchaser." She read it to me over and over. Purchase and Purchaser are two different things.

I was not in violation of the warranty. If Walmart wants to charge $10 for a road hazard replacement on the new tire, Walmart needs to take all the signs down in every store, the one that says the only time you have to pay is when you have a road hazard. That tire is covered under the manufacturer warranty, which means it didn't cost Walmart anything to replace the tire.

On the day of the incident, every person in the automotive area was talking about me among each other. "She should know she has to pay for the warranty if a new tire is put on " and "this is how we always did it." I was referred to by Sharley the assistant manager as "this lady" in a nasty way, instead of "a customer".

Bottom line, when a road hazard warranty does not tell me I have to pay for a new warranty coming to the store on a road hazard, it should be in your pledge. I was charged $10 which is not specified on the warranty.

I want my money back. I was in the store on this issue waiting for assistance for at least one hour. I'm a customer who spends at least $400 per month in your store, which includes grocery. Respect is a good thing when you encounter a problem or disagreement. Sharley walked away with an attitude from me after I said, OK, I will pay for the warranty and take it up with Walmart directly. The way I was talked about and treated on that day is not the vision Walmart employs.

Bottom line, If I'm in the store on the road hazard warranty, I shouldn't have to pay for a road hazard warranty when I come in Walmart with a road hazard.

On September 8, 2011, I called Walmart Tire and Lube in Bechtelsville, PA to get Good Year Viva 2 tires on my 2004 Chrysler Sebring Sedan. I set up an appointment for the next day, September 9, 2011 at 4pm. When I arrived, Ricky, who was the person I spoke to the day before and had set aside Viva 2 tires. He tried to tell me that it was not the legal tires on my car. That was a lie and a scam to upsell me to more expensive tires.

First, he claimed that the car needs touring tire. The Viva 2 are T-rated tires, which makes them a touring tire. Second, all the four tires that are presently on my car are Good Year Viva 2, and guess what, they were sold and mounted on the same vehicle by Bechtelsville Walmart Tire and Lube about 2 and a half years ago. Third, the car came from the factory with Viva 1s and the Viva 2s are the new Viva models. I want Ricky and the service manager fired or I am contacting a lawyer and filing a lawsuit against Walmart for illegally trying to pull the bait-and-switch sales scam. Which by the way is against the law.

I ran over a screw in my employer's driveway. I immediately took the vehicle to Wal-Mart, which is only about a mile away. I said I ran a screw over and needed it plugged or patched. He took my info down and directed me to pull my truck up to the bay.

At this time I asked if there was anyone even working. He said, "Oh, they're somewhere." I said how long does it take to do this and he replied "about 20 minutes. There isn't anyone here". There was one vehicle in the oil change bay. I was the only vehicle in the tire change bay. Fixing this problem included dismounting the tire, fixing the hole, remounting, balancing and installing the tire back on the truck. It shouldn't take too long, right?

Per the service order, I checked into Wal-Mart at 1:40 p.m. and checked out at 3:01 p.m. That's an hour and 21 minutes! I watched out through the window as the guy fixing it moved slower than a sloth. I couldn't believe this! The manager ended up finishing the job because he was moving too slow.

I took a vehicle to this facility one other time a few years back. I was leaving for a vacation and needed some last-minute stuff before driving five hours to my lake house. After an hour, the man said they're wrapping it up. Another hour went by. Then they kindly explained that he installed the wrong drain plug back into my oil pan and stripped it out. What? I was leaving for vacation and was now even further behind. They "fixed" it with a multi-fit plug, used a rubber grommet to seal. To cut to the chase, I drove to upstate NY and arrived to my lake house, only to find that I had leaked all of my oil out and there was nothing on the dip stick at all!

I will never take another vehicle to this place again!

My car slipped at Walmart while replacing with new tires. It got damaged mechanically and the body work needs to be done.

Upon returning a tire under warranty, the service department decided that the warranty expired after only a year and a half and told me that it wasn't renewed. I explained to them that I had road hazard protection but he insisted that he couldn't find it in his computer. After being there for two hours dealing with their incompetence, I bought a new tire and was on my way. I finally called the Walmart in Palm Coast, FL, where the set was purchased and talked with the service person there and by punching in my phone number, she had all the warranty information on my tires!

I got scammed in Ohio for a new tire! I paid out $175 for a tire that would have cost me $50 or so after prorating.

I purchased a set of four Goodyear Viva 2 tires, sized P225/60R16s for $70 per tire, $10 each road hazard and $7.50 per tire lifetime balancing. This cost $364.00 not including tax, June 28, 2010 with 129082 on my odometer. Today, August 30, 2011, the sidewall on my left front tire was split by a road hazard. The mileage on my odometer was 147132. I put 18,000 miles on a 60,000 mile tire. They put a new tire on and promptly charged me $40.00; money I did not have. Nor, for liability reasons would they remount the old tire.

They have a policy after that if tread is worn a certain depth, they will prorate the tire and in this case, I probably used up one third of the tire. I have no beef with that. My problem is that no one told me before any service work was done and they presented me with a bill. Now, I'm driving on a spare that's in rough shape for the next three days. Walmart needs to reevaluate their view of ethics of doing work. The customer isn't informed and will cost them money. I work in heating and cooling, and would have to eat up the costs of work done without informing a customer.

On 7/20/2011, I took my car to Walmart auto department to have my tires rotated and balanced (free lifetime warranty purchased for all of our vehicles in household). The man told me it would take about 45 minutes. It was done quite quickly but I did not know any better (myself and daughter went). As I was driving home to Middleburg, I noticed a different noise coming from the car and a shaking. I called from my cell and a man said that it was normal, just to drive and it will work itself out. I did, and when I got home, it was still doing the same thing.

I called again and was told to go to the Walmart in Middleburg and have them check it out. I went back out to Middleburg and spoke with a man named Joseph and he told me, after looking at the tires, that there was 5 pounds of pressure left out in each tire. He proceeded to help us out and was very professional and friendly and said that there are a lot of complaints that come out of the OP district. He filled the tires and we left.

Well, since that first day in Orange Park, the car has not run properly. I called three times to see if I could bring it in and each time they told me they were very busy and for me to call tomorrow. Well, fearing that something bad would happen to me and my daughter, I took it today to the Middleburg office and told them what was going on (Joseph was not there today) and after checking the car out, they told me that the Orange Park Walmart did not balance the tires at all! What the ** is going on? I cannot believe that we were screwed by these guys there. Was it because we were females or the fact that it was a lifetime warranty and they did not give a **? Please tell me, I'd love to know. For such a reputable company as Walmart, I find this completely unacceptable. Had we got hurt, what would have happened then?

I knew I needed a front end alignment and was told that by them that not doing what they were supposed to do, it made my car worse. What am I supposed to do now? I cannot afford a front end alignment right now and I am scared for me and my daughter to drive in case something happens.

When all of this occurred the same day, I phoned the manager of the OP office and told him what had happened and he apologized over and over and said that it was unprofessional and he would speak with the technician. I let it go, until today, when I was told that they had no regard for our safety. Our family has spent a boatload of money at Walmart over the past 20 years and to have this happen to me is sad and disappointing. I am sure we will find another place to shop after this. I cannot trust anyone there anymore.

My husband works out of town and we are all alone and we came for some help and got screwed! Is there any compassion out there? Do you train your technicians to do this to females? Some people have told me yes. I am going to say that I have a very big mouth and I am not going to let this go. I will tell you now that everyone I know and even people I do not will hear about my experience. My next letter is to the BBB.

I'm a student and my friend told me that Walmart is a good company with good price and good service. I went to Wal-Mart to change my car's tire but the technician made a big mistake, he broke my car. Then, they asked me to go to the garage to make an evaluation, and they said that I had to do twice.

I went to the garage next day and made twice evaluation in two different garages. They said that they would send me a check but from May till now, I never receive that check, and when I called them, they said it's not their business. They asked me to call Wal-Mart insurance company. I have no choice so I contact the insurance company lots of time and they always have lots of pretext.

On July, they said that they sent the check to the wrong address and on August, they said that they need time to reissue check. I'm always waiting. Today, when I sent an email to the insurance company to know when I can receive my check, the answer is "out of office".

In the month of December 2010, I purchased four tires for my 2006 Toyota Tacoma. When they put the tires on, they broke my TPMS (tire, pressure, monitor and sensor). They finally paged me after two hours of waiting to tell me this, and they handed me my old TPMS. I was told that if I will go buy one, they will install it. Not knowing it would cost $146.00 from Toyota, I said, "OK". I went to pick it up, and I had Toyota install it. I went to Wal-Mart for my life time rotate and balance for 8-10-2011. I walked in at 2:15 PM, and at 4:00 PM I asked what was taking so long. I was told that they broke my cap on my wheels, and they said if I would go get one, they would put it on. At this point, I got very upset; I started giving them a piece of my mind.

I finally got the manager, who said they would pay for the hub cap; I was instructed to go to a place called Hub Cap World, 20 miles away to get one. I was told they would pay for it. I told him we are not doing this again, and I wanted my truck fixed before I left. It is because they pulled this the last time and they never took care of it. I felt I should not drive half the 40 miles round trip to pick-up a used cap, when the dealership is 10 miles away and have them in stock. The manager then offered me money to leave, and fix it myself.

I took the 50 dollar offer, and drove to Toyota. In less than four miles down the road, the right front weight flew off, and hit the mirror. I got the hub cap which cost me $22.00, and I drove back to the store, to show them what happened, but before I did, I had the Toyota dealer look at it to see why. They had put the wrong weights for the aluminum wheels on the truck. The service manager at Toyota instructed me to return it, and have them see what happened.

I drove back to Wal-Mart with a broken mirror and all to have the service advisor take the truck in, and have their top mechanic look at it. Only to be told they used the wrong weights, and that was why it flew off (I already knew that). They said they are not responsible for the mirror since it was able to travel four miles of Turnpike Highway. I just gave up. It was now 4.5 hours in total, $5 for gas, $22.00 for hub cap and $126 for the mirror. I have decided to find a new tire center.

On September 20, 2010, I purchased 2 215/70 R15 X-Trac tires from Biddeford, ME Walmart with the road damage warranty. Those 2 tires only lasted until January 15, 2011 because all the tread wore off. The tire manager said the reason the tread wore off was that the alignment was off. I bought 2 more tires and had my alignment rechecked, nothing wrong with it. These 2 tires lasted until 8/1/2011 when the sidewall on one of the tires blew. Again, the Biddeford Maine tire manager would not replace the tire because he said it was not a road hazard problem and the 60 day warranty had expired.

Went in with wheels off my 1997 Jetta. The tires were worn and Mark decided that a verbal joust with the meaning of wheels, as he kept on insisting that I call it my wheel rims, was meant more than a sale. He wasted enough of my time with the disagreement. I did not purchase the tires for my wheels at Walmart. I buy a set a year on my Volkswagen and my wife every year and a half. I have also decided that a trip to Target down the road may be better.

I took my wheels with tires on them to walmart to get new tires. Gave the kid my information and told him I wanted 185 60 14 tires put on my wheels.

he took paper to assistant manager, assistant manager began to verbally joust terminology with me he insisted that I had rims (Rims termonology is outdated and most shops use the "wheel" termonology. His instance on the use of the word rim lost walmart my business there. Upward of 7 plus times did the assistant manager try to drill or insist I have a rim not wheel and would not even start a transacton of the sale of the wheel because of this. After trying to talk to his friend the supervisor who only stuck up and would not correct the sales man I decided to take my business online. I do an extreme amount of annual purchases at walmart @ $10,000.00 but now after this incident am going to take my business to other providers. I asked if the supervisor was going to correct the assistant supervisor and was told no he didn't need to be corrected.

Lets get it straight, I went in with tires on my wheels...tried to buy ned tires for my wheels....but since the assistant manager insist using the rim termonology instead of calling it a wheel you lost a sale and a customer. Goodbye Walmart....Hello target.

I took the jeep to get my flat tire fixed. Ended up with a bad stud, and missing jeep cap for my rim.

Apparently, when putting on the one of the bolts with the air gun, they put it on sideways; so, it ruined the stud.

What a nightmare.

Now my jeep cap is missing, and they say that they have to look at the video to see what happened to it. At 4 p.m. that afternoon, there were three guys in the shop and five people waiting. Then two of the guys disappeared for about an hour, and left the one guy there by himself. There was no supervision whatsoever, and to get a manager back there for any help is like pulling teeth!

What a disorganized environment. I should have known better. The last time I took my other jeep in for an oil change, the oil filter was loose and I lost a ton of oil before I realized it, as well as burning oil all over my engine!

WHY DID I GO THERE?!

I gave my in-laws our minivan to drive, so they would have reliable transportation. I explained that the tires needed replacing. They decided to take it to our local Wal-Mart store. They are elderly, so the vehicle is mainly used to go to the grocery or to doctor appointments. Approximately three weeks after the tires were replaced we went to yard sales for Mother's Day weekend. My father-in-law complained about the van "shaking". He said it had been doing that on and off, since replaced with new tires. It got rapidly worse; so, my brother-in-law decided to drive them home. We thought maybe a ball joint or something was going bad. I had the van checked out before giving it to them. The only thing that needed replacing was the tires. While driving them home, my brother-in-law said the shaking stopped, as long as he went slowly. Well, while going around a turn, the whole front wheel came off. They ended up in a ditch. No one was injured (thank you Lord), but we had to have it towed the rest of the way home.

The gentleman who towed the van explained that the whole wheel came off, and all the lug bolts went off with the tire too. He asked who in the world put the tires on. They didn't put the right torque on the bolts, and everyone was lucky they weren't injured. My mother-in-law called Wal-Mart and they told her to call on Monday to speak with the manager of that department. On Monday, she was told that "Bobby" wasn't in, and she has to call back Wednesday. On Wednesday, she was told "Bobby" was on vacation and to call on Monday. She called on Monday, and Bobby told her to take pictures of the tire and damage to the van. She used up a whole roll!

I had to go with her to Wal-Mart to file the complaint because the van was in my name. That weekend we brought our camera to be developed, and was told by the lady in that department that another couple had been previously in the same issue! She said it was hard to believe that we are the second party of people who got the same issue at Wal-Mart in so short a time. I filed the complaint, and they submitted all the pictures. I asked Bobby what he thought of the situation. He said it was pretty cut and dry what happened, and that we should hear from their insurance within a couple of weeks. I informed him I was turning it into my insurance; I was told that it would cause more complications, and not to worry. Wal-Mart would take care of it. My mother-in-law said to please let Bobby take care of it. He was so nice and helpful, and she didn't want to cause more trouble. She just wanted the van fixed. They had been without transportation for two weeks already and Wal-Mart would fix this. I wasn't happy about it, but I relented.

Three weeks later, I still have not heard from their insurance. So, I took a day off to speak with our insurance agent. She tried calling Wal-Mart herself to see what they were doing about the problem. I left my insurance, and in short time I received a phone call from my in-laws stating that a Wal-Mart agent called, but refused to talk to them. The agent would only speak to me. She was upset because the fellow was very "brisk" with her, and seemed "not so nice".

I got the number from her, and called the not-so-nice person back. I was told that my van was a 2002 with over 100,000 miles on it. The result from the tire falling off was from wear and tear, and age. I asked how every bolt was broke off the vehicle from normal "wear and tear", and I told him I never heard of such a thing happening on any vehicles even older than the van! It's a 2002 Ford Windstar; I see them all the time driving on the road, and never witnessed tires falling off before! Why was it not on the vehicle report we received when the tires were replaced? The mechanic would have surely seen a bunch of loose lug bolts while applying torque to put on the tires, right? They weren't even rusty, where they were wrenched off the van, when the tire went flying! It was solid steel in the lug bolts! They all just rusted right off AFTER the tires were replaced? He said in his not-so-nice way that the claim was denied, and it was the end of any discussion with him.

I have since had Two Guys Auto come out to look at the damages, and they quoted me over $3000 to fix it. The van still sat at my in-laws yard, where the tow truck left it. They badly need of getting the vehicle fixed. I really don't approve of suing happy people, but this is just crazy. We just wanted the van fixed. We were not trying to get rich. No one was injured, and we were grateful. Wal-Mart seemed to care less.

I bought a car battery 2 years ago from the Kingsville walmart store. It went died and I took it to the store in Flourbluff tx. The sticker on the battery was on there. It should of been under warenty but the casher said I need the reciept. I don't have the reciept anymore. is there any way I can get this straight out.

My family and I had a slow leak fixed about 2 months ago at the Wal Mart Tire Lube Express (southwest Austin). The tire was "fixed" and then started to leak again slowly. We brought it back to the store twice, but didnt stick around to wait, since the WAIT was quoted at "over two hours" (to fix a previous leak that they fixed originally).

We finally got "lucky" and came back to wal mart and after the girl checked our previous receipt, she said it would take 45 minutes (at the most) to check the tire and fix the leak. We agreed, since we had our original receipt and all associated paperwork from the first time they fixed the leak.

Since there was NO ONE in any of the garage bays and only two older ladies (in front of me in line) wanting a oil change, I thought that we would be done in less than 30 minutes. My wife, infant son and I went off to shop around the store.

we came back after 45 minutes and I noticed the lady that was in front of me in line(orginally) was finished and being rung up and she was leaving. I assumed that my car was next and would be done in a few minutes.

I was wrong.

my car wasnt even in any of the bays and they told me "another 30 minutes", so I walked off and continued shopping, not getting TOO angry.........yet.

I came back in 30 minutes. Yes, you guessed it, car has not even been LOOKED AT yet.

I kept coming back every 30 minutes while so many other people came and went (getting oil changes or tires installed, etc)

we ultimately waited 2.5 HOURS for them to fix an existing leak (that they "fixed" previously a few months before).

We were waiting so LONG, that we had to go next door to get something to eat from a fast food chain, so that our infant son would stop crying, as he was starving (as we had to feed him SOMETHING, since it was already close to his bedtime and we live 45 minutes from wal mart). we dont even GO OUT TO EAT AT FAST FOOD, yet we were held hostage at wal mart due to their lazy behavior.

After we were being rung up (finally), the girl charged us AGAIN for the "flat fixing" and I had to correct her that it was a pre-existing problem that was fixed before. She ran to the garage to "checK" with the mechanic. I also showed her the receipt from when we had it fixed before. As she stared at the receipt (like she has never seen it before) and started talking to herself (mumbling), i thought maybe she was having a mental breakdown ? I had to continue to ask her what the TOTAL was since we get the tire fixed for free. She was insistent that she should charge us and I kept asking her what the total was...to break her out of her mumbling stupor. she finally took the 10 dollar charge off and told us

"you are really lucky"

my wife's response...

"yeah, we are really lucky that we were here for 2.5 hours waiting to get our flat tire fixed that you didnt fix RIGHT the first time"

the wal mart lady just stared at her.....

I guess from now on, Discount Tire has my business. They are far faster and far NICER than Wal mart.

On March 16th he was driving in the Truckee CA area on Hwy 80 and felt a sudden bump in the rear of his car. He attempted to pull over right away and luckily there was a turn out for him to stop in. He got out of his car and the entire rear tire was shredded. The tread was literally off the rim of the tire.

AAA came out and put his spare on so he was able to safely drive home.

On April 1st (he was working previously and unable to bring the tire in earlier) we brought the tire into the Walmart where we purchased it and were immediately brushed off by the tech. He looked at the tire (did not even attempt to pull the tire out of my son's car so he could see the whole thing) and made a snap decision that my son must have driven on a flat tire and that is why the tread came off. Of course his first question was "did you buy the hazard warranty? " As soon as we said no, the attitude changed and he just shrugged and walked away.

We then requested to see the tire shop manager, who like the tech, did not even attempt to remove the tire from the back of the car to see it in its entirety. He took 2 seconds to say "no, we won't give you a new tire". When asked whether this should be covered under the manufacturer's warranty since the tire was only 3 months old, he brushed us off. Apparently the 25 year old tire manager has enough expertise to be able to just barely look at a tire and determine that it couldn't possibly be a defective tire.

He told us that my son must have run over something to make it do that. We inspected the tire ourselves and there is no hole in the circumference of the tire. So basically, according to the manager, something hit the rear tire at a horizontal angle (while my son was driving) which caused the rupture of the tire. Really? I don't know about you, but I have been driving for many years and have actually had to drive on a flat tire for a while, and never, ever has a tire done that. I have never seen a tire do that and have never heard of a tire doing that.

The manager just kept saying "you didn't buy the hazard warranty so we can't help you". We don't recall being asked about the hazard warranty when we purchased the tire; however, according to the manager, who apparently is privy to all conversations between sales reps and customers, that we were offered the hazard warranty. Regardless, with or without the hazard warranty, this tire should be covered under the manufacturer's warranty.

We then asked to speak to the store manager, who we were told, was on vacation. After many times of prompting, the tire manager offered to get an assistant manager. When the assistant manager Ysela (?) walked up, her demeanor was hostile. She in no way shape or form wanted to help us and acted put out that she even had to look at the tire.

We showed her the tire, and apparently she is also a tire expert, because without even touching it or attempting to remove it from the car to have it actually looked at, she said "no, we will not help you. You need to call 1-800-Walmart". I asked her again and again about the manufacturer's warranty because it was such a new tire and she brushed my question off. I can tell you by this time, our level of frustration was high. My son was extremely upset due to the way we were being treated. We were able to get another manager, Margo, to come out and once again, look at the tire but in no way attempted to get the tire removed to do a detailed inspection.

Time and time again we referenced the back of the work order that talks about Walmart's pledge to the customer. (see the back of your work order! ). Margo apparently had never read the verbiage on the back and even though we asked about that, we were brushed off.again. At no time did anyone answer our question about the manufacturer's warranty.

Why did no one even offer to provide us with the information so we could go to the manufacturer? After Margo's "inspection" of the tire we were told that the best they could do was give us 25% off a new tire.

I am adamant that this tire was defective. All I had to do when I got home was Google "Goodyear tire recall" and lo and behold,as of November, Goodyear has been silently recalling tires due to injuries and deaths caused by "Tread coming off the tire."

I would hope that your tire technicians would be up to date on tire recalls and not just assume that every tire that comes in with the tread off is due to road conditions.

Our family spends on average $1000 a month at Walmart. I am not just saying that, we really do. We love Walmart; we have always have had good experiences. I have family members who work for Walmart. I am very disappointed in the level of contempt that the employees of the tire department and the managerial staff treated us with. I personally have been in the customer service industry for over 25 years and I know what good customer service is and I absolutely will not tolerate poor customer service.

I want a resolution to this matter. I am not the type of person who complains, but I sincerely believe that the staff was rude, not helpful in any way and just wanted to get rid of us. I am prepared to take this to the next level if need be. I will not give up until we are given a refund for this tire. As you can guess, our level of confidence with Goodyear tires and Walmart at this time is low.

At no time was the tire removed to be inspected. The techs and the tire manager "poked it" a few times to come up with their diagnosis. Goodyear tires have been recalling tires due to the tread coming off the tires. I would like to think that Walmart wouldn't be selling recalled tires and I would assume that their tire techs would be aware of such defects in Goodyear tires and wouldn't just make a snap judgment without inspecting the tire in its entirety!

We are now dealing with the claims company and was told that because we didn't keep the tire for them to inspect, they will deny our claim, really?

Walmart had 4 opportunities to take the tire out and inspect it. We're waiting for the claims company to respond but next step will be seeking an attorney. Maybe this can turn into a class action lawsuit!

They told me they would put the new tire on the "free" right rear rim and then put it on the left side, moving that tire to the right side.

Not only would they not do this, they also wanted me to sign that the tire was 2/32 and that they could or would not move it. Throwing the doughnut in the trunk on top of two hand-made blankets. Not under them in the tire reservoir.

I refused to sign the paperwork but even returning the car to its original state as requested! I would not remove this "damming" paper work from file. I had someone plowed into my car as I pulled out. All they had to do was go into Walmart, get this paper work and use it against me.

Please don't insult me by telling me a good attorney for another driver would not first ask what I have done at Walmart. I have had to dry clean two very large hand-made blankets so save hurt feeling. I was again treated like an idiot because I would not sign your "additional" after-service paper. Where it was signed, refused by them. I went from Walmart to a real tire shop and replaced the tire.

I want Walmart to come to my car at home, work, or school, identify the tire has been replaced, and amend the current pages that could be held against me. As for an attoney, I very much want an attorney to review this. I fully intend to seek legal representation in this for myself to protect me from you!

On 2/16/11, I brought a set of tires of of a friend of mine. I drive a '01 Monte Carlo SS and it is equipped with tire pressure sensors. I don't know anything about this and I still own a lot on the car so I brought it to Wal-Mart to have the tires put on. I know they are equipped to handle it. Well I brought these tires because I was fixing to take a road trip out to the desert, 3,000 miles round trip. Well they did a great job on the tires but when I received the service, they offered their other services. One of the options was an air filter and I figured why now it would help my gas mileage.

I'm about halfway through my trip, my car starts running really rough and my check engine light came on. I drove home and the next day I went up to Auto Zone to have the codes ran on my car. Half my intake sensors are fried, so i popped the hood and the intake hose that connects the intake to the air filter was not even connected! So I drove straight up to Wal-Mart and talked to the tire and lube manager. He toke pictures and wrote a report. The following day a claims representative contacted me and asked for my story. So I told her and I am still waiting on my call back.

About 6 months ago, we bought 4 new tires for my daughter's car at Walmart, paid for the whole works, tires, mount, balance etc etc. To make a long story short, I drove the car the other day and it was bouncing all over the road. The tires still look like new. We have another car that has Walmart tires on it and they have been terrible so I took my daughter's car to another tire place that I trust. They pulled the tires and 2 of them were out of round. As if that wasn't bad enough one of the 4 tires wasn't even the same brand or tread. We never changed any as the car just sits at her college and gets very little use.

I don't want to deal with those *** at Walmart again so I had the other tire place put on new tires and trash the Walmart brand. If you are smart do not buy tires at Walmart. Even if I'd taken them back, it would have been a real hassle and all they would do is pro-rate them to lock me into having to replace them with more Walmart tires.

Moral of the story: Go to who you trust even if it costs a bit more, it's worth it in the long run.

I bought 2 tires from the store to have them mounted in the Tire and Lube Department at Walmart on the front driver side of my 1993 Nissan truck. I had one lug nut missing out of 6 and my wife signed a paper before they could work on the truck so Walmart would not be responsible, which I fully understood. When they had finished, I went to the truck in the parking lot and noticed on the front driver side, which was the same one that had the missing lug. They had not tightened the five nuts on that wheel. With this being said, what could happen if I hadn't noticed them by eye and drove off and the wheel came off?

Trained professionals that do this kind of work day after day should double check their work before turning it over to the consumer to be safe.

They won't give me a new tire that was defective--it had a bubble. They said that it's not their problem if they sell junk tires.

I bought a tire on a Saturday and moved the vehicle around 22 miles. I parked it and when I needed it around a month later, the tire was flat. I took the tire off and had a mechanic look at it. Took it off the wheel, checked the wheel, put the tire back on and aired it up. Three days later, the tire was flat. Aired up the tire, put it in soapy water and took two days to find a needle sized hole in the sidewall. This was not caused by my moving the vehicle because of the position of the hole and no other damage noted. It had to be in the tire when I bought the tire. The ** say no coverage for replacement.

I bought four Douglas tires for my car about four years ago and had to replace four tires with only 5,000 to 20,000 miles on them. Every year, I had to replace at least one of them that had a small puncture or slow leak and the last three tires, I get the same reason. Why do they make me buy a new one instead of fixing the leak which is covered under their road hazard warranty so I have to pay some of the cost of the tire?

They tell me that puncture is too close to the side wall to fix and it's the law so they have to sell me a new one which is prorated from the warranty because of tread wear. Now, I take care of my car and rotate the tires regularly. I do not drive hard and only put about 4,000 to 6,000 miles on them a year. So when complaining to the manager, they just say it's frustrating.

Did not have correct tire size and only had two tires. Put on the two incorrect tire sizes after convincing me this was the correct size. I requested Castrol Oil for the oil change and they put bulk oil in. Will never use Walmart for any automotive work again.

On August 25th, 2010, I brought my car to Wal-Mart Tire and Lube Store #2671 1175 S Arizona Ave., Chandler, AZ. Besides the oil change, I asked them to change the oil filter, the air filter, and to also change 2 tires, balance them. I want to clarify that my car was in perfect condition before I brought it to Wal-Mart. After around 2 hours they spent working on my car, they called me saying it was ready. I picked it up around 5 pm and drove home. On my way though, the light of the coolant on the front console start flashing. But as I lived 30 minutes from the store and I was almost arriving at my place, I decided not to return to the store immediately but to go home, call them, and ask them what they did with my car.

After waiting long minutes on an automatic machine, I finally could talk with the person in charge of the Tire and Lube store. He told me they just did what I asked them to do and that they didn't mess with the coolant system at all. As the store was closing soon, he asked me to go the next day to have my car checked. That afternoon after visual inspection under the hood, I could see that the coolant liquid was lower than usual.

The next day in the morning, I opened the hood again just to find out no coolant at all! Obviously, there was a leak somewhere. I didn't risk it to go all the way to Wal-Mart. So, I went around the corner to BigOTires. They found out that the upper radiator hose which connects the coolant with the radiator was broken and worst that it had been glued to provide a temporary solution.

I went mad and after paying 226.77 dollars for replacing the broken hose and adding new coolant, I went to Wal-Mart and put a claim. I complained on Wal-Mart broking the upper radiator hose, gluing it to provide a temporary solution, and not telling me what happened. It risked the life of my car's motor, not to mention my own life as this incident could lead to a sudden accident on the highway.

The weird misbehavior of Wal-Mart didn't end up there. I put a claim on August 26th, 2010. The person in charge, I believe his name is Dean **, told me that I should receive shortly a letter from Claims Management. After two weeks, I went back to Wal-Mart and complained about my claim. I didn't receive nor heard about it in 2 weeks. The person in charge checked the claim and just told me "I don't know why but something happened and it didn't go through. Let me try it again." I stayed calm and just told them to please understand my situation. I said the car was working perfectly before the oil change. The person changing the oil, the oil filter, and air filter may had stepped badly on the hose and after breaking it tried to glue it.

Anyway, the claim went through this time. After a couple of days, I received a letter on September 9th from Steven ** from "CMI, Claims Management, Inc. Respect Service Excellence". He took my case and told me he would ask Wal-Mart for the video of that day and revise it for any weird behavior of the workers under the hood. On October 8th, I received another letter from CMI from the case manager Steven **, saying that a decision concerning my claim had been taken. I called him and he just limited his time to tell me that my car was already 10 years old and that that could happen by chance. He added that he didn't need to ask for the video and just limited to ask Wal-Mart for a report on the case.

I tried to make my point on the fact that it is really suspicious that the car has been working perfectly and just after an oil change the radiator hose is broken and appeared to be glued. And especially "no way" I could have been driving the car in that condition over to Wal-Mart in the first instance. No positive answer regarding my claim came from Steven ** who stopped listening to my complaints. And in an impolite and unprofessional way, he tried to get rid of me on the phone by saying a couple of times "This conversation is over." Now, the only thing that is left to me is to advice everyone out there to stop buying at Wal-Mart, not only for the bad quality of the products and services but also for the irresponsible behavior they show every day to their customers. I am not alone. There are plenty of these types of cases complaining against Wal-Mart. I just wish I had listened to them before.

On 11/22/2010, my wife placed my 1995 town and country van for tire rotation and balancing. As the Walmart employee brought the car back, he told my wife the driver door was not closing and he will try to help fix it free as he is a qualified tech. When he failed to do so, he claimed that the door hinge was broken before he received the car, which is not true. The door was normal when they drove the car for the job. Walmart referred our claim to their insurance. Next morning, a CNI person representing Walmart insurance contacted me and denied the responsibility. When I mentioned to him if I should seek help from my auto insurance, he said "if you do so, I will close the case" and he hung up! I took the car for a second opinion to someone, a friend of mine recommended, who worked for many years on antique and classic cars. His statement follows.

I am mostly retired now, but I have done body and mechanical work on antique and classic cars for many years including a lot of repair and alignment of doors. Mr. ** was referred to me by a mutual friend for examination of damage to his door. My findings are as follows: Initial inspection showed that the door would not close and that it was substantially misaligned. The reveal across the top of the door was normal at the hinged left of the door and proceeded to expand to just under three fourths of an inch at the latched right side of the door. The reveal down the latched side proceeded from a negative (overlap) sixteenth of an inch at the top right edge of the door to a spread of one half inch at the bottom right edge.

The door was obviously very much displaced downward at the latching side. It would have taken a great deal of force to do this. The door was not in any way loose or wobbly. It could not be manually displaced in any direction, up, down or racking side to side. The hinges were clean, fine and tight in every respect, exactly matching the condition of the hinges on the opposite (normal) door. I used power equipment, without detaching the door from the hinges to restore its alignment, door and hinges as one body. I was able to return the door to proper alignment with proper reveal all around that matched the passenger door. At the end of this operation, the door remained entirely tight and normal with no wobble or looseness. The remaining difficulty is that the door latch is damaged, seemingly by forcible banging by someone, probably due to the slamming of the misaligned door when attempts were made at repair at the shop responsible for the initial damage.

It now latches very well and smoothly at the first position only, but internal damage blocks seating of the latch to the second position. Mr. ** refused repair of the latch until his attempts at resolution with Walmart were satisfied.

I purchased four tires for a 2000 Toyota on October 9th 2010 for $52.50 each; Extra Trac II Douglas size 195/70 R (14).

On November 23rd 2010, my son was on his way home from work on 285 W and 75 S, he had a blow out right front passenger side. The side of the tire blew out. I called Walmart but they said that they couldn't give me another; I could buy one. They said that the 45,000 warranty was not to cover it. I did not purchase extra warranty. Is that true?

My son said the side of the tire blew out. I didn't see and I didn't ask him if he still had it but I am sure he doesn't.

On 06/26/07, I purchased a full set of Viva 2 tires. Since my purchase, I have had flat tires for no reason, broken belts, and several tires just blow off my vehicle on all 4 tires of the vehicle. On 03/01/08, I had my first tire just go flat and it wouldn't keep air in it. On 03/16/08, my tire blew out; and on 09/27/08, I had a tire with a broken belt on the highway. On several other occasions (12/28/08, 06/24/09, 05/12/10, 11/11/10), I have had blow outs and the tires went one way and my car went the other way.

I am now at the point where I am tired of paying for tire replacements, repairs to my vehicle, and going back and forth with management at Walmart store #1379 and CMI (Walmart's claims management). I have suffered damage to my budget, vehicle, and my health. I waited the entire summer for CMI to do something about fixing my vehicle. I went without a vehicle all summer long which took a toll on my attending school, work, and everyday activities. And when I took the car in for repairs, all the repairs could not be done because CMI said they didn't authorize those repairs to be completed. I cannot do it any more!

I used four tires tracker, that I bought from Wal-Mart, on my Dodge Ram 2008. They were used for just 15,000 miles, and the mileage warranty is 50,000. The front tires were not under warranty, because my car was misaligned. This is my fault, but the rear tires were adjusted pro rata, and I received the same brand and size, paying just $64.80 for each tire. The regular price is $135.00. I received a discount of $70.20 for each rear tire. That's 52% off.

I accepted this, but I was thinking about a bigger discount. I also spoke with the service manager at Wal-Mart and after that, I asked him for an additional discount, just for buying the four tires, and he gave me the lifetime wheel balancing for free, for all four tires. I think this was a good deal. I forgot to mention that the previous day, to the before mentioned facts, I went to another Wal-Mart Supercenter in Calexico California, and first, the mechanic told me that they didn't have the tools to remove the tires. Then, the service manager came, and told me that the required tool was broken, and that they had ordered one, but it will be in the store in almost eight days. I went to El Centro California Wal-Mart Store, and they gave us attention. I had savings on buying the tires, because of the warranty, and a special discount from the service manager, and the best part of all, a good service.

I am writing because it is my firm belief that the Walmart Lube Express located at 2106 Mount Holly Road, Burlington, NJ 08016 put two nails in my tires when I took my car to the Lube Express on November 9, 2010. On November 8, 2010 my daughter came out from where she works to find that her tire had lost some air. She drove to a gas station and was able to put air in the tire, and she drove home and parked the car at about 9:00 pm. at our house. I told her that I would take the car to get the tire sealed just to make sure that she would not have a blow out on the road while driving to work the following day. I took her car to Walmart at the location mentioned above. The service man Dan came out with the tire, and showed me a nail in the tire.

I suspected that the nail was just recently put in the tire while in their shop, but I didn't complain because I was there anyway to have the tire sealed so that it would be safe for my daughter and I resolved that they would just seal the tire and I would be on my way. When the service man brought me the tire to show me the nail, he told me he had inspected the tire and said this is what I found and he pointed to, and discussed the nail he had found, which was one nail. I said okay, please just repair it.

He took the tire back into the shop and came out again a few minutes later telling me that the tire now has two nails, and that the tire could not be repaired. He told me I needed to buy a new tire. I went over the events as I have written above. When the servicemen couldn't get me to buy a new tire with the first nail, all of a sudden I have another nail one inch from the original nail that they claimed they didn't see when they found the first nail. I did have a verbal confrontation with them over the issue because I brought my tire there in repairable condition and left with it in irreparable condition according to them.

I spoke to someone named Kendall, a manager. I also spoke to Jim, the store manager, and I spoke to Dan, the repair person. I also spoke to who I was told was the District Manager, and other servicemen in the area at the time. Since the tire insurance was still good on the tires, they all decided that I would have to buy a new tire for $58 which included a $20 discount.

I firmly believe that there is a scheme being perpetuated on the consumers. Walmart Tire Lube and Express at this location should be investigated. I told the Servicemen and Managers that I spoke to, that I will hold each of them, and Walmart responsible if that tire is the cause of an accident. I believe there is a scam going on, and I hope that you will investigate it. I believe a scam like that is a crime that could cause someone their life, and if a scam like this is an ongoing practice, it should be investigated for the safety of the public.

I purchased Walmart tires with road hazard and balancing for an extra $70. My first problem occurred when I got a screw in a tire. When I took it to Walmart for repair they pulled the screw, the tire went flat and they said that they could not repair it. I asked if they could mount my spare, they said they could not because it was a different load rating from the tires they sold me. They tried to sell me 4 new tires. I changed the tire myself and had the flat fixed at a Firestone store who said the hole was within legal limits of the edge.

The second occurrence was when my son hit a piece of metal on a freeway exit and ruined a tire. Walmart in Longmont CO said that they had no record of the car although it had their tires on it and I had had the tires rotated there one month before. They tried to sell him a set of 4 tires. He bought tire somewhere else. Finally, I took the vehicle in to have the tires rotated, they refused saying the wear on the tires was uneven and they were not allowed to rotate them. They had already put a quote for new tires in the car before they told me. I took the car home and measured the wear with a depth gauge, the tread was within .005 in on all tires. They had said the wear differed by as much as 8 units; I do not know what units they use. It is clear to me that all they do with their road hazard and balancing program is get you into the store so that they can sell you new tires. I am done with them. here are honest businesses around, maybe with slightly higher prices but not dishonest. I can find other places for other shopping as well.

I had purchased three tires at this location and they told me that the tires were guaranteed for a period of time even if you don't buy the extended road hazard. Well, on my way home the other day I had a flat and I changed it. I called Wal-Mart and spoke with a person that told me that they would replace the tire at a minimal charge to me. I think they said something like around ten dollars.

Well, I went there and another person was there and told me that there was nothing they could do about this. My problem is the person didn't even look at the tire. So I am confused here: is the tire warrantied or not? Could you please help me in this matter? I shop at Wal-Mart all the time because you all back up what you sell. I'm not looking for anything but a tire. Thank you.

I have had 2 incidents with the TLE, both dealing with tires. The first was with our Grand Am. I went in to buy tires. As my wife and I was shopping, I was paged and asked to return to the TLE. When I got there, I was told they could not change my tires due to having alloy rims. Okay, I thought they didn't have the plastic fittings to prevent scratches. What I didn't like was the way I was told.

I had the feeling that it was a waste of their time to even deal with me. The second time was with our Jeep. We were putting new tires on to get ready for winter. I requested a pair of 235/75 R.15s put on the rear of our Jeep. While we were shopping, I was paged and asked to return to the TLE. When I arrived, I was told by the manager they could not put the tires on our Jeep. I asked, why not? I was told, in a very rude manner, the tag on the door said the size was 215/75 R 15. I said that I knew what the size was from the factory, however, I wanted the 235's put on instead.

Again, in a very rude manner, the manager said they couldn't put them on. I then told him that I would take my business elsewhere. The manager said, again very rudely, to go ahead. I went to the Sears store down the road where they very happily done the work I requested. Warning! Do not go to Wal-Mart for tires or any other service! It seems like they can't do anything.

On 10-20-2010, I purchased four tires installed X-Trac ll (175/70R14X X TRACK'S). They were installed in a timely and promptly manner. I returned home and the next day I went to get something from my trunk. I found that the doughnut which I had been driving on had been thrown on top of items I had purchased elsewhere and it was not returned to the spare tire well where it belongs!

I am physically disabled and it is very difficult for me to perform such task! In addition, your boys and girls in the department were more concerned in engaging in some hormonal conversation rather than attend to customer service, especially some fair haired young man who thought he was some kind of stud. Really! You advertise "buy three get one free", but that offer was not extended to me. I could have received a better deal somewhere else!

A few months ago, my wife and I had Walmart perform the usual Mobile 1 Synthetic oil change on her truck. The truck is a GMC 1500 Sierra with a 5.3L engine requiring 6 quarts of oil. After completion of the oil change, we picked up the truck and left Walmart expecting everything was done properly as usual. A few weeks ago, we were driving and all of a sudden, the low engine oil level light came on. I immediately pulled the truck over to check the oil level, thinking this was probably a sensor error because our truck does not consume or leak oil.

Low and behold, the oil level showed to be just over a quart low. With this finding, I proceeded to check the truck for leaks and exhaust smoke which none were found. It then occurred to me what happened. Walmart, in their infinite wisdom, neglected to put the last quart of oil in our truck at our last oil change and with the oil level sensors position, it did not read the level being low until the level slightly changed through a change in position on a hill or maybe the speed of travel on the highway according to the dealership.

The dealership also stated that they could not tell me whether any damages had occurred as a result of the lack of oil without pulling the motor down to check it. I had to deal with a few rude people at the local store until making my way to the store manager Humberto. Humberto refunded me the amount of the oil change and assured me that opening a claim was the right thing to do and they would take care of the issue. After opening the claim, I was referred to an insurance company called CMI which took weeks to call me back. When I finally got a call back from CMI and spoke with Brent **, who was very rude and condescending, he deduced in a matter of minutes that the claim would be closed because I wasn't sure of the damages to the vehicle therefore, there was no damage to report. Brent also blamed the missing quart of oil on my truck and called that normal consumption, without knowing and researching the service history of this vehicle.

I then went back and forth between Walmart Corp. customer support and this CMI insurance company. I finally got the number of a higher up in the CMI Claims area (David **). He stated that because the Walmart service report on my ticket shows the service called for 6 quarts of oil, he could not prove that Walmart did anything wrong and it was up to me to provide proof that they didn't perform the oil change correctly. I offered to do an oil consumption test through the dealership service area to show proof of the oil the vehicle uses and David told me that I can have this done, but it won't change anything on the claim and will not be used as proof. I also offered that the store was already pulling the security video for the time of the incident and that he could contact the store for this information, which David also refused to look into.

I'm currently waiting for the closure of the claim to be appealed through, you guessed it, CMI. I also want to state that if there are any current class action suits against Walmart for this, I would love to jump in and offer my Walmart experience by joining the suit.

I purchased 4 new tires from Wal-Mart and also paid for all road side warranties, etc. The tires were making noise so I went to a mechanic and was told to rotate tires. I went back to Brunswick where the tires were purchased and asked for tires to be rotated. I was told that my stupid Goodyear tires were dry rotted!

What the heck is up with that? How does a tire that is constantly on the road dry rot? Also, why should tires that aren't even 2 years old with no tread wearage have dry rot? I will never buy another Goodyear tire especially from Wal-Mart, to keep buying!

My husband took my beetle to Wal-Mart to get four new tires, they put three on and came out and told him he would have to do the other one himself. He explained that (he is 73) he was in a bad wreck years ago and had 4 back operations and it was hard for him to do this. There was a stud missing off the rear tire. Neither the less he was told it was store policy, etc. He told them that he would stand and watch them and sign something, but they wouldn't budge. He changed the tire and suffered for days. I happened to see this on the computer and just thought I would let you know this. It happened on March 20th 2010. The guy was rude and I told my husband he should have told him to take the tires off, but he didn't.

I bought 4 Goodyear tires at Wal-Mart in Del Rio, Texas about 4 years ago. The car had 35,000 miles at the time and now has 58,000 miles. It's a 2,000 Grand Marquee with original miles, hardly ever used except for some trips to Abilene and San Antonio. Mostly local miles.

Problem started when car started to wobble while driving. I had the front end aligned but wobble continued. The place where I took it for alignment advised me that I probably had a tire out of round and to take it back where I bought the tires which was at Wal-Mart. Mr. ** said I had too much air in the tires and refused service to the tires and voided my warranty on all tires.

I left upset and decided to not buy any tires at Wal-Mart because they do not stand by the products they sell. I recently took the car to a local dealership and he checked the tires and found that 3 of the tires were coming apart. He was angry enough to confront Mr. ** at Wal-Mart but now Mr. ** wants to see the receipts which I misplaced. He even deleted the records out of the system so they couldn't find any records on the tires that were bought. I believe he was record tampering when he deleted our records from the system. These tires still have a lot of tread on them but what good are they if they are coming apart.

The dealership sold me a new set of tires and told me that they have records on tires they sold as long as 4 or 5 years ago. I believe we were scammed by Mr. ** at the Wal-Mart tire center. I was willing to buy a new set if he would have pro rated them but he wouldn't have anything to do with us. Problem is if my wife got hurt in an accident because of those defective tires. He would be working in the tire shop at a state prison. I am not going to let this go lightly and I will see to it that Mr. ** loses his job. He is a danger to this community!

I went there just to get my tires rotated. I gave them my key and went to look around in the store while they were supposed to do the work. I came about 15 minutes later. I looked outside and could see my car, and it was in the exact same spot that I parked it in. I accidentally parked my car kind of crooked and in the left side of the lane. I figured they hadn't even started the work yet. But to my surprise, the lady said the work was done.

I paid $10 and went to my car. I checked how it was positioned, and it was exactly how I parked it, crooked at an angle and towards pretty close to the left line of the parking spot. I was immediately suspicious, because the chances of the mechanic parking exactly how I did are slim. The front tires of a car are usually dirtier than the back because they do most of the braking, and the brake dust etc. dirties the hubcaps or rims. But I keep my car clean, so there was no way of telling. I wash my car almost every week.

I took my car to another mechanic, and he couldn't tell either. However, the mechanic that actually did rotate them at the second place said that the tires were pretty hard to remove, and that it felt like they hadn't been removed in a long time. It makes sense because they hadn't been rotated for at least 7,000 miles if Wal-Mart did in fact not do it. Also, I had the second mechanic measure the tread depth, and he got different results than what Wal-Mart did. Wal-Mart did accurately get the tire pressure right, which was 30 for all tires. They also wrote down the mileage on the odometer etc. I just don't think they rotated the tires, which is what I was paying them for. My advice to everyone is to never trust mechanics. And if you can do the maintenance yourself, then go ahead and do it. I do probably 90% of the maintenance on my car myself. Next time I will probably just rotate the tires myself. I should've watched them "do" the work.

I bought two sets of Goodyear Eagle GT-HR 205/50R16's from Walmart over a period of two months. I purchased the warranty at that time. I've driven these tires for a little less than 24000 miles. I noticed a vibration, so I stopped at my mechanic on the way home. He rotated the tires and balanced them. He told me two of the tires have a bump in them indicating that they are separating inside. He told me they still have a lot of tread and if they are still under warranty, I should take them back. I took the car to WalMart and they tried to tell me they needed to be balanced.

I told them I didn't think so, seeing how it had just been done. So then he tried to tell me it was because I have a bad strut. I called my mechanic and he said he would have told me if I had a bad strut. They would not replace my tires and were trying to get me to pay for a strut replacement I didn't need. I left with my bad tires and warranty that I paid for that is absolutely useless. Do not buy tires or a warranty at Walmart!

I bought a set of tires for my truck at 8:00 pm on Sept. 16, 2010. It cost 900 dollars. I drove home which is out of town about seventy kilometers and parked for the night. I drove and got to Hay which was another 70 km then drove to Bonnyville and back another 70 km. I was going to make a round trip through Bonnyville to Cold Lake to get tires done.

Well, on the way, the front driver's tire came off, made me hit the ditch. The tire hit another truck, causing damage. I drove 298 km, but it was within 23 hours of having truck done. It happened at 6:30 pm the next day. Wal-Mart tire shop is open until 8:00 pm. I noticed a disclaimer on the bill saying that Wal-Mart is not responsible if tires are not re-torqued in 50 to a 200 km. What is that! I live out of town. I put that many kilometers in a round trip.

My rear tires were wearing badly due to an alignment problem. I went to Walmart to get two new tires before getting my alignment. They claim it was balanced and two tires were put on the front and they made me sign a paper that it needed an alignment, which it got an hour later. After the alignment at a different shop, I hadn't driven it above 30 mph to get to the alignment shop. It was shaking badly above 50 mph and when turning. I know cars pretty well and when I went back to Walmart, they said it must be my car, and to take it to a shop to check the suspension brakes, etc. I told them I wanted the tires balanced again.

They told me they did this and when I left, it was still shaking. I took it to the shop where my alignment was done. After a test drive, they told me its definitely the tires that shake and like that is only in the tires. We rotated them to the rear and put the rear tires on the front and the shake was gone. At this point, I thought it must be defective tires, but the shop asked me if I wanted to check the balance, which was done by Walmart one hour earlier. I decided I would just have them check the balance and just see. The tires Walmart had put on were terribly out of balance, even though they supposedly balanced them twice. The shake was gone after the other shop balanced them. So are the people at Walmart, or just lie to customers.

I had to pay for a balance and rotation and test drives at the alignment shop just to figure out it wasn't my car and that the tires were out of balance that Walmart told me they balanced when obviously they weren't. Walmart will never get my business again, and I find it infuriating that they would try to take advantage of someone. It's a college town and I think they take advantage of students. I am not a student and do most work on my car that I have the tools to do so. Trying to blame myself and my car for a problem that was caused by them, and that they refuse to fix or are too stupid to balance a tire.

Took my son's car in to have new rims installed on his tires three weeks ago. Today, his front left tire began wobbling and upon inspection, found the lug nuts were missing. In inspecting all four tires, all lug nuts were loose. Mechanic deemed that the lug nuts were hand tightened only. As the lug nuts are black, there was not indication that they had been machine tightened.

Son lost control of car and could have potentially been killed had the tire fallen completely off as well as the other three. Will have car towed to get all lug nuts tighted. Need to order custom lug nuts to replace missing ones.

What has happened to Wal-Mart's automotive department? For many years, I have had my oil changed at one of the two local Wal-Marts. They were always busy and reasonably efficient. A couple of times when I had complaints, the manager gave me a free oil change and I was satisfied. However, in the last few months when I have gone to either of the two local stores here in Slidell, Louisiana, they are either not open at all or seem to be asleep. The last time I went (around 9 am on a Saturday), an employee came out after about 10 minutes to take my order.

There was no evidence that they were busy at all. In fact, it didn't even look like they were even open. I asked him what had happened to the automotive department lately and why everything was moving so slow. He said that it was because it was raining. Now, it is true that there was a very, very, very light rain occurring but I found the whole scene and his demeanor so absurd that I just drove away. Going to Wal-Mart Tire and Lube anymore is just a waste of time.

I purchased four new tires in February 2010 and since then I have had nothing but trouble with the tires losing air. I have taken the car back 4 times now. The first time they did nothing about this problem. The second time they replaced one of the tires. Just recently on 9/2/2010, I took it back in the third time to have this problem checked and fixed and the tires balanced and rotated. They did not do either they looked at the tires and said they were fine.

Once again today, 9/6/2010, I returned to have them check the tires and rotate and balance them since they were not done on the previous occasion and since I was getting a flat tire once again. I spent 4 hours there and when the car was finally returned to me the technician stated that he did rotate the tires, balance them and had put sealer on the rims like they were suppose to have done on the previous occasion.

The tech also notified me that there were other possible problems with the tires and that I need to bring it back in and have it remedied at a later date. I don't appreciate spending 3 to 4 hour in the automotive department of Walmart each time I take my car in to be worked on and this seems to be happening every time I go there. Not to mention incompetent employees that work there that either don't do their job or take 3 times as long to do it. Along with rudeness and disrespect for my time from the employees. As well as listening to other customers with the same complaints.

I showed up bright and early because I have a very busy schedule today. I have 4 new tires that I purchased online mounted and balanced. It took more 5 minutes or more just to get one of the guys to ask if I needed something. They were not busy with any customers. It was 7:30 am! So I leave the car with them and start wandering around the store only to be paged. So I am informed that they are refusing the job because they can't get a couple of lug nuts off.

I am a bit peeved at this point, so I demonstrate with the little tire iron that comes with the car that I can break them loose by hand! How freaking annoying! Granted a couple of lug nuts are a bit chewed up, but this is Maine. Lug nuts can be a pain. Winters are rough. Deal with it! So I am really upset at this point, kinda like Ron's experience with the tire falling off! They are tire guys.

That's what they do. They change tires! So I run over to Tire Warehouse. They take me right in with a can-do attitude. One of the guys looks at me and says, "Hey, you have a socket still attached to your lug nut." Those freakin ** left a socket on my wheel! So 30 minutes later I leave with new tires on my car and one of the techs at Tire Warehouse has a new socket to keep. Oh, just got off the phone with the manager. He claims that they reviewed the surveillance recording and did not see the lug nut socket on the vehicle, so it was not there according to him. Unreal! So I said, "Call Tire Warehouse. They have your socket with your techs finger prints all over it!" Losers! Lost time and just frustrated.

First off, I am an employee of this store. Last September, my husband (Bill) bought four new tires at this store. I remember the Dept. Manager and another employee arguing over what size tires needed to be put on our van. Finally deciding on a tire size, they were put on and we paid the bill. Over the next eight months the tires kept losing air. My husband brought the van in several times to this store to see if they could figure out why the tires kept leaking air. A new dept manager was hired in TLE and he was the one who figured out the tires were the wrong size. He told my husband we were lucky they never blew out on the interstate driving 80 miles an hour.

The Dept. Manager in TLE called Mark, one of the assistant managers and he said the only thing the store could do for us was to take $17 off each $100 tire that we ended up having to buy. Whoppee! Here I work at this store and we only got $17 off a tire. I didn't want to say too much as they probably would've found an excuse to get rid of me. It was this stores fault they put the wrong tires on it the first place. They should've replaced all four tires for nothig. They probably would've if I had been just a regular customer. We ended losing almost $400 with taxes and stem valves, etc. having these tires put on.

Unprofessional, lazy and arrogant staff, misleading customers. I went to install a New winter tire (on August 14, 2010) that I had on a rim. The technician starts interrogating in a very arrogant way. He asks me whether the tire is new, I said yes, it is. He looks at me as if doesn't believe me and says, "I have to see the tire." He walks with me to my car and sees the tire and says, "Oh, it's illegal to drive with a winter tire in the state of CT in summer." (Later, I checked online and I didn't find any such law since the tire is not studded). He then checks my car and says, "Oh and you have winter tires on already and your car can be impounded." He orders me to pick up the tire and carry it for him.

He intentionally delayed the mounting and while I was standing there, another technician asks if he should attend me since my tire is done and the customer is waiting. I heard him saying that he doesn't have to hurry for a 14 dollar job. Finally he comes to me and charges me and tries to hand me the tire. I requested him that the tire is dirty and it would be nice of him to put it in my car's trunk and he says that he is very busy. Finally I asked him, "What's your problem man?" and he saw that I am getting irritated so he carries the tire to my car. I wonder who manages this Wal-Mart store and whether they care about the customer service.

I went in to get my tire patched up on 7/16/10. I was the only car there and they said it will only take 1/2 hour. So I went into the store to get some stuff and I came back, my car was moved to the side. Thinking my car was done, I asked if my car was done. They said it would just take a little time yet there was another car in that they were working on, had 2 tires removed and my car was outside and not getting worked on at all. When I came in, the guy told them that I was here to pick up my car. They drove my car around, put it in the garage and it took them 1 1/2 hours to put a patch on my tire. I missed a very important appointment. I felt this was not right that they moved my car to put another car in front of me. I got no reason why they did this to me. I tried to ask and send them an email, but I got no response from them. That is why I am sending this to you, I am very upset at this time. Missing my appointment was not needed to happen.

On 08/03/10, I brought my Dodge Dakota to the Colony Mall Wal-Mart (store #2336) to have my tires rotated and balanced under the purchase agreement dated 10/19/07 for 4 Uniroyal Laredo tires. My mileage at that time was 114962 miles which accounted for the loss of a few lug-nut jackets which was typical for the lug-nut configuration on that model Dodge Dakota. There was no problem in installing the new tires. The jackets did not affect the mounting of the tires other than having to reduce the socket size used to mount the tires to the truck.

Upon returning to the Wal-Mart location to pick-up my vehicle, I was given a service order, which stated, "Cancelled, unsafe environment." A verbal statement was made that the threaded studs on the front passenger side were cross threaded and hence the employee did not wish to subject the store to any litigation. I brought the Dakota home and made an appointment with a local repair business and had them remove the tire and I inspected the stud. I'm an engineer by profession and have seen a few stripped threads but there were none to be found. In addition, there was no problem in removing the lug nuts in that there were 3 with no jackets.

It was apparent that the employee did not want to honor the purchase agreement and subsequently I had to spend $55.96 to satisfy what was otherwise a failure to honor the Wal-mart purchase agreement. I had to spend $55.96 to satisfy what was otherwise a failure to honor the Wal-mart purchase agreement.

I purchased tires from Wal-Mart. They put the wrong size on. I brought it back and now the trans is messed up. I have called several times. Today, I was told not to use the car and we need to get to work.

I purchased tires for my car less than a year ago. I am experiencing trouble with the tire that is 2nd rated. The tire from the outside-in goes to a V shape, which when going to a specialty tire company, the tire was bad from the beginning. Walmart does not stand behind the products. Walmart is not willing to stand behind this product and replace it for me. They do hire associates that are not qualified. Walmart stores are so dirty. Take a look at the floors, under the shelving units, and the bathrooms. I should've considered the first impression they make on their customers.

On June 22, 2010, I purchased four tires, M67J H6HR 1610, at the Wal-Mart #1240 TLE. After the purchase of the tires, I found out that the new Super center being constructed nearby will not have a TLE and will not be able to fulfill the promised tire warranties or promised rotation and balancing, and that I would have to go to another Wal-Mart with a TLE to get the work done. If I would have known about this, I would have bought the tires where I can get the work done locally.

Once while having new tires put on, I noticed a wheel cover missing. When I returned to check on it they said they couldn't find it so I can only assume that it wasn't put on properly and came off on the way home. Something that's impossible to prove, but it wasn't missing when I went there. Another time after having tires replaced I noticed that I had an imbalance at 5000 miles due to a detectable bounce in a tire. This means either of two things, a tire was not properly balanced or a 2nd rate tire was put on that was out of round to begin with. No corrective action was taken by WalMart. Moral of the story is to stay away from WalMart's automotive service. They hire "off the street employees with no experience" or "care less" attitudes. No compensation or very weak "trying to please" offered so I am very fortunate compared to others.

On June 21st, 2010, I took my car to Warlmart Tire and Lube Express at Steelyard Commons to get the oil change. After the oil was changed and I paid for the service. I found that the lever use to open the hood cannot be function. The wire connected to the hood was broken.

I talked to one of the technician and he told me that they don't know how to fix it. I need to bring it to an auto repair company.

you are supposed to be the low price leader.you are so full of it it is unbelieveable. just bought two tires from your mena store who in charges for airing up a tire? who charges for putting in a stem? I WILL find a lower price and you wilkl make good by refunding my money or i will seeyou in court like everyone else that you tried to screwed

I had purchased 4 new replacement tires from walmart in aug. 2008 and had a 50,000 mile warranty and road hazard coverage on the tires purchased..on a trip in colorado in may 2010 and out in the east plains, the left front tire started to make a thupping noise.I had stopped and inspected the tire and could not detect a problem. 13 miles to the nearest service station, the attendent told me that the tire had a "flat spot" and he did not have a correct tire to replace with. he said if he rotated the tire to the rear that it should be fine to get to new mexico. After he rotated the tire, the truck drove fine for the remainder of the trip.

upon returning home, I had to get a tire for my other car and took it to walmart to get a replacement tire and had the service technician inspect the truck tires and advised BOB to what had happened and he GUAGED all the tires and he stated that the tire treads were all out of specification. he told me to return the next day to speak with the service manager ART.

I returned at 7'oclock the next morning and talked to ART and he inspected the tires visually and checked the milage and vin number and record of purchase,NEVER REMOVING THE TIRE and stated that I would have to wait 45 minutes to speak with his boss. after an hour of waiting..both ART and BILL came out and said that since I did not have documentation of rotation and balancing every 3,000 miles, which I have two receipts of rotation, and is stated that the warranty of rotation "recommends rotating tires every 7,500 miles and does not state that walmart needs documentation of such..in there own words "there is nothing we can do ".

after all is said and done I am going to purchase new tires at a local competitor of walmart and keep the old tires to display to all I know and discourage anyone from taking there vehicles to WALMART TIRE AND LUBE...it also states in the warranty that any wear of tire before the warranty mileage that walmart will prorate the tire for a new replacement...which means they can say that the consumer is at fault and will not stand behind ANYTHING they sell to US.

I bought 4 new tires from our local Wal-Mart with warranties for them. 1 Month ago I had a nail in my tire and it was leaking air, so I went to the same Wal-Mart and they fixed the tire and told me that I needed 2 new front tires. I went back today due to the fact that I have a bolt lodged in one of my front tires and not only would they not fix the tire; they also said that I would have to buy 4 new tires! Their reason was that they had recently "Changed the rules" on what they can and cannot put on your car and the tire that I wanted fixed is below the level that can be repaired.

They now have to adhere to the driver door sticker for the size and type of tire. That is all well and good......except for the fact that they are the ones that took the factory tires off and replaced them when I purchased new tires, and now they will not replace any tires unless I pay for 4 new tires.

I have been a regular customer of Sam's club and then Walmart. I have bought new tires from walmart for last 5 years. The last time was for my daughters car. I had all 4 replaced. The next day the tire was flat. It had leaked around the bead where the rim meets the rubber. So i bring it in and they said nothing was wrong with it. 3 months later same problem. I could tell when I ran water around the rim tire until I found it bubbling. So with 10 dollar road hazard I take it back. The Technician tells them it has been driven low or flat. The arrogant person saying this did not witness me taking the tire of the car and putting on the spare. It went flat in the driveway. They want me to buy a new tire because they can't let me drive it away because they think it is unsafe. They want to "trash" a new tire with perfect tread. How wastefull is Wal-mart. They don't care about the environment to want to trash a perfect tire. I am never taking my tires to Walmart ever again.

I purchased two tires for my vehicle in August of 2003. I paid cash for the tires. The tires were not in stock, a customer representative was to give me a call when the tires are back in stock. I have been having health problems for quite some time. I just found the receipt for the tires realizing that I never received them. I went the store where I purchased the tires from. I spoke to a rep and stated that I never received my tires and that I would like to have my money back. The sales rep was trying to tell me that I must have received them and I stated that no, I haven't received them. I told the rep that if I had received the tires, I would have had a receipt stating that the tire were received.

The rep then preceded to look up the info on the tires and said nothing was found and that I needed to come back to speak to someone else. I did not receive any help whatsoever. The sales rep asked that I stay for a while and he would look at it, but the rep did not take any of my information to look anything up. He then came back and said he couldn't find anything and that I should come back the following day to speak to the manager. I know for a fact the rep didn't look up any information.

In November 2009, I bought tires from this particular Wal-Mart, and now in April 2010, my tires have worn down so much that the metal belt has separated and one tire has already gone flat. I wasn't given any information about the tires, and after calling over and over to see if there was some kind of warranty on 50,000-mile tires, I kept being put on hold for long periods of time. I would like two new tires, because 50,000-mile tires should not have went out that fast and I haven't even driven 1,000 miles yet.

I went there as I left an auto shop where I had check them out what made my car shake and they told me that both front tires needed to be replaced. Well, two or three weeks ago, I was told by bill that they were okay and would last 4 years. So, I went back thinking, he wasn't going to be there. Man was I wrong. He said just one needed them when I was told at another that both needed it. Anyhow, some smart mouth rude woman came out and asked what am I supposed to do.

I told her we came here sometime ago and that guy told us the tires were okay when they are not, so are here to get them replaced as under their warranty. She said the tires were worn out, so there wouldn't be any credit. Wouldn't happen if that guy wouldn't have told us that they were. So anyhow, she handed us the papers and we left to go somewhere else to get new tires for a cost of $216.17 more than what I should have had to pay if that guy in Conway, AR would have done his job especially since he is only a greeter he shouldn't tell people how their tires are, when he doesn't know. Could have caused some major damage. Had to spent $216.17 at another tire place than at Walmart since it had tire warranty on all 4 tires and still valid.

I have tires that were purchased from Wal-Mart (#530), set of 4, for $90.00 each, and I have all the road hazards, and I was told by the service manager that I was able to get my tires replaced at a 40% prorate on the new set, because of the condition of the tires. I went in to see if the tires are in stock, and Tom was on vacation, and the workers there that day tell me the manager told me wrong. They called the assistant store manager back, and he told me Wal-Mart doesn't honor that anymore. What did I pay for then? I am really **. I am still waiting, 8 weeks later, trying to get something done, and a Wal-Mart 335 miles in Magnolia Arkansas tells me they will honor the road hazard warranty. This is not good business. The service at Wal-Mart is getting really bad. They should be doing all they can to keep customers, when the economy is bad.

I took my auto to Wal-Mart in Blytheville, AR. I had four new tires put on and had a service done on it. I spent $552.07 at your store. I had to go to Auto Zone and buy a new oil cap. They told me mine was broke when they got it. Couldn't have been. Would have been gone as I live on a gravel road. I am very unhappy with your company, but since I am just a little guy so to speak, big company like yours can mess us over all you want. I told your people there needed oil cap. They tell me we don't sell them. Well, if they break them you should stock them. I will never buy tires from you again or none of my family or friends will after I tell them what was done to me. I could have lost all oil from car. I did lose five lug nut covers. I had two missing, so now I am missing five more. Thanks a lot.

I purchased two Douglas tires about 2 weeks ago. They are the worst tires ever. Both of them have blown completely off the rim causing me unbearable distress. The first one blew out on the way to Louisiana. We were schedule to be at an NBA game (Hornets vs. Nuggets) on 3/12. We were not able to make the game because we had a blow out. The second one blew out was when my fianc was driving it. I ended up staying at work an hour longer because he had to change the tire and drive on a doughnut.

In Wal-Mart TLE vehicle tires were over torqued and caused the braking system to become warped. Unable to resolve a small claims suit that was established in local city court. Rotors became warped, damaging braking system.

On Sept. 24 2010, my son bought four tires at Wal-Mart in Mt. Sterling, Ky. They were Douglas tires size 14 in. On March 2, 2010, two of those four tires blew-out. On March 3, 2010, those two tires were taken back to Wal-Mart and replaced then. On March 6, 2010, two more of the four tires blew out and needed to be replaced but not without confrontation.

When I took the said tires back, the employees accused my family and me of misconduct. When I told the manager what we would like to be done, they told me that it could not be done without me paying more money. We never abused nor did anything to cause any damage. After three hours, we finally received two more tires. And grant you, these are now losing air pressure. What am I supposed to do when their product is at fault? What I would like to happen is that my son get some more tires so he will fill safe to put his two son's back in the car and take them out.

I took my truck to Wal-mart, because it had a tire that was leaking air. They said the leak was in the sidewall and could not be fixed, so they sold me two new tires for the front. I drove the truck back home (Oklahoma) and then back to Colorado. At that time, my wife and I heard a noise from under the truck, and the steering wheel was shaking. So we pulled into the closest vehicle repair shop (Courtesy Auto). They looked at it and discovered the transfer case and front differential was damaged, and the cause was that the truck had differently sized tires on the front and back.

So we managed to get the truck back to Wal-mart where we bought the tires at, and we showed the tire and lube manager (Gary) the report that Courtesy Auto gave us. He said that Courtesy Auto was right, and Wal-mart should have never have put differently sized tires on the truck, but he could not do anything.

So I talked to the store manager (Adam), and he said I would have to file a claim with Wal-mart's Claims Management Department. For weeks I left my truck at Courtesy Auto, because I could not even drive my truck without doing further damage and 2 ASE-certified mechanics both said that I could not drive my truck until it was repaired. After calling several times to CMI (Her name was Billie.) and the store manager, they sent out a claims adjuster who said that 100% the problem was caused by mismatched tires on the truck but he would like to see the inside of the transfer case.

So I notified CMI (Billie), and she said she would pay for Courtesy Auto to take the transfer case off and apart if the damage was done by Wal-mart. So after the (Wal-mart paid.) claims adjuster came back out, the written report and verbal report to the owner of Courtesy Auto (Dennis) was that without a doubt (100%), the mismatched tires caused the transfer case damage, differential damage, and front bearing damage, along with other things. The report that Wal-mart gave me was that you can put mismatched tires on 4-wheel drive trucks, and it would not cause any damage.

Since then, I have contacted GMC dealerships, and they have all stated that every tire store knows that you cannot install differently sized tires on a 4-wheel drive truck because it will cause transfer case damage. And of course, Wal-mart is still saying that this is not their fault, and they will not pay for anything.

Wal-mart has caused my wife and me to lose our home, because we had to take the money we had for our house payments to pay to get the truck back home (Oklahoma). I also had a job interview in Oklahoma that I could not get to because my truck was not driveable and stuck in Colorado, and I lost weeks of employment, not counting a lot of other expenses. I am a diabetic, and I have already had a seizure. Every day, I cannot help but think of what Wal-mart has done to me and my wife. My blood pressure goes up, my wife says my face gets red, and I get really bad headaches.

We purchased 3 of our tires from the Wal-Mart on US Highway 19 in Port Richey or New Port Richey then so we could have a matching set, because they never offered us an appointment to hold the set of four. One was sold. So, we had to go all the way to US Highway 19 in Pinellas Park to purchase the fourth tire (last ones avail on clearance and a match and our first set of new tires ever) where my husband realized they forgot to even offer road side at the first store.

The second store helped us. We called to verify we had it. Now that we have problems with the tires, the New Port Richey store by our house is denying we ever got it! It's our first ever new tire purchase of over $400 and I'm on social security. Of course, we purchased it. We had been having a lot of flats because of pot holes in the Kimberly Lakes subdivision taking our daughter to school. We wanted the protection so it would never happen again and the used tire places never carry our size. It's supposed to be lifetime balance, rotation, and road hazard. They don't want to honor their end of the deal. I'm disabled so I don't know how to fight this and am unable to walk in Pasco for buses.

My husband and I were hauling a load of cattle to Oklahoma City. We had a blow out on the trailer in Gainesville. Since it was a Sunday, the only store open was Walmart. We pulled in there and were told they could not help us with the cattle loaded. We would have to off load them. We went to the livestock barn and off loaded the cattle. We went back to Walmart to get the tire fixed.

We were told they could not sell us a tire because they only sell car tires at this point. We don't really care what kind of tire it is, we just need a tire. We finally were sold a tire and were told we had to put it on ourselves. They don't work on trailers. They were nice enough to loan us a jack. When I went to pay for the tire, it cost $145.00. To think we had originally told them we wanted all four tires replaced. Glad they only sold us the one. I will never step foot in another Walmart.

I bought four new tires at Wood River Walmart on December 5th, 2008. On July 30th, 2009, I noticed all my tires had bubbles on the sidewalls. I then returned to Wood River Walmart. The service manager said I had broken belts on all four; they were defective and needed to be replaced. The service manager told me I had a broken passenger rear leaf spring. He said I should have it welded and come back and they would replace my defected tires. I told him I would have it fixed today and return today. He said that sounds good, so I had it welded and returned the same day like I said I would and the service manager said, "Good. I am leaving for the day, but these guys here will fix you up with a set of new tires."

After the service manager left, a service attendant, I didn't get his name but he had a big blonde pony tail sticking out of his cap, balls on his tongue and piercing in both ears, said to me, "We are not going to honor the warranty because the weld looks like a couple of tacks and is unsafe for me or anyone else to be under your truck." How would he know this as he did not get on the ground and look at the repair? The weld was put in very hot, the weld is sound and still holds today.

I said, "To change tires, your vehicle doesn't have to be on a five foot rack, one foot would be fine." But he said, "We will not do your work." Then I asked to speak to a manager. He went and got a black lady and they both told me I was just stuck with the defective tires and they were not going to do anything about it so for me to have a good day. Before I left, I saw them both standing at the counter looking at me and laughing. They probably was saying to each other that they fixed me good.

On July 31st, 2009, I went to Jerseyville Walmart. I explained to the service manager what had happened in Wood River. He said, "Have a seat. Someone from management will be here to talk to you." The store manager, Jim, said, "I understand you purchased four defective tires. We are going to replace them for you today right now." He shook my hand real business like and said, "Have a good day."

Can you tell me why customer satisfaction is not a priority at Wood River Walmart? I have thought about writing sooner, but then didn't. But the way I was treated should not ever happen to anyone else. Hopefully, Walmart in Wood River and upper management will hear about this as there could have been a bad accident with me driving to work every day on defective tires.

My wife called for a quote for 2 tires for her car and a quote was given. She set up a time to have the tires installed and she told them that she wanted the new tires for the front of her front wheel drive car. They told her they would not install the new tires on the front of her car. They did not know what kind of car she had, only the tire size. My wife asked how could she get new front tires and was told, only by buying 4 new tires. Their new policy from Goodyear, they claimed, is to rotate the rear tires to the front and only to install the 2 new tires to the back. There was no other way. They are crossing the line here. This is clearly an underhanded effort to double the sale.

Who do they think they are? I called them back to see if my wife didn't get clear information from Walmart. The same line of rubbish was repeated to me, so my wife and I will no longer be buying anything from Walmart, the double or nothing store that had shown no interest in making an honest sale of two new Goodyear tires.

When I purchased four tires for my car, I was told it should take about one hour. Instead, it took a little over 3 hours. The person who told me this knew that there was only one person who showed up for work and three who didn't show up.There were many people complaining besides me. I have proof of the times on my receipts.

I went to the front of the store, and Sonda and I asked to speak to the manager. She asked why I wanted to speak to the manager. I don't know why it was her business. I asked who she was, since her name plate was turned around. She said it didn't have anything to do with her. I finally insisted on getting her name. She finally called Bonnie and explained to her what had happened. Her remark over the phone to her was that people were in line and that was the way it was. I could not speak to her myself at all.

I was treated terribly, and this is not the first time this has happened with Wal-mart, but I hope it will be my last. And I have spent a great deal of money with Wal-mart, but I will go to great lengths to buy from other companies in the future.

In June 2008, we were planning a trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from Pennsylvania, so we decided to get the oil changed in our car, a 2007 Nissan Altima. We also took in our 2005 Nissan Titan and had the oil changed in it at the same time. My husband told the intake person that we did not want the tire pressure modified at all because they set it too low and we had to then refill all the tires to the level that performs best on our vehicles. He asked that they just leave the tires alone. We watched as the intake person made a notation. The intake person told us that it would be approx. 30 tp 45 minutes, as they were behind. We had dinner at a restaurant in the mall, then returned a little late...approx. 1 hour after we dropped it off. It wasn't done. Our truck was the only vehicle in the garage.

While sitting there for another half hour, we heard a loud bang. We immediately inquired what the problem was. The cashier said they were having trouble getting our tire off. We asked why in the world they were even touching our tires. The manager came out and said we had a broken sensor on one of our tires that we needed to replace but they luckily had one in stock for $60 that e could purchase. My husband asked how he knew it was broken since they were supposed to have left the tires alone. he also asked why we had a broken sensor since it was fine when we came in. We told the manager we had been sitting out in the waiting area and had heard them pounding on the lugs. The manager became angry and said, "We aren't going to eat this." (meaning the cost of the sensor.) I told him that he broke it on purpose, so it was his responsibility.

He stormed into the back and the sensor was replaced free of charge. One of the employees, the intake person, (who is no longer in that area) whispered that we needed to see the store manager as soon as possible. We thought all was resolved until we went to leave. We were loading our two small children into the truck when my husband thought he had better pop the hood and make sure they put oil in it. Guess what...they left off the oil cap. I went in and spoke with the store manager. they offered me gift cards, which I refused, and went back to speak to the manager of the oil and lube. Our family could have been injured due to their attempts at defrauding us.

I purchased 4 new tires to be mounted and balanced. In the process of balancing, the tech. used a flat blade screwdriver and a balpeen hammer to move the wheel weights on an aluminum wheel. In that process 2 wheels were gouged with the screwdriver. I saw the process happening. When the truck was backed out of the center, I checked the wheels then.

The person that did the installation came out to bring the tires I had on before, since I wanted them. I asked him what I was supposed to do with 2 wheels that are scared up now. His remark was, quote- I did get-em did'nt I. I talked with a manager before I left. He said to see if a repair could be done, or what ever I thought was right, and they would take care of it. I wrote his name down as Mason. But no one knows of him.

The tires were installed on Dec.7th. I went and got a quote from a GMC dealer for two new OEM.replacemt wheels, and went back to the store and this is when I talked with Charles. He said he would watch the video and decide what to do. Also said he would call in no more than a coupe of days. It's been a week and no response. HIs comment on the 8th, was that was normal wear and tear.

When that truck was driven into Walmart, it did not have a mark on any wheel. I've always been a fan of walmart, but this deal, really has me mad. When I told Charles that his tech. admitted to gougeing the wheels, in lieu of wear and tear, he had no response. 2 wheels on a 2000 GMC.Z71 truck were gouge to the point that the clear coat will not stay. plus the gouges are unsightly to me. Charles has the price quote for the wheels.

On Friday, 12/11/09, I visted the Walmart tire center to have a tire replaced that had a slash in it. I had purchased road harzard warrant so the tire should have been covered. I was told by the tire manager that the tire would be pro-rated and that they could not replace the tire because I had a broken stud (what ever that means). I told her that I got the tire from them so if the stud was broken by them. She stated that because I brought the tires from the Walmart on Austin Peay, that is were I would have to talke my car. I told her that it was dangerous for me to drive on the tire. She stated she knows but the broken stud has to be placed on the Austin Peay account. She then told me that they (Walmart) cannot repair the stud.

So I asked why would I take my car to Ausin Peay if they cannot replace it. She said that they would pay for it. That makes no sense. So I told her to give me the tire and I would get Firestone to put it on for me. She had a mechanic put the tire in my truck and he told me that they could have replaced the tire if a different manager was on site. He said he didnt understand why she was being so mean. I did not either. It was ovious she did not care about my safety. So I called the store manager, (I believe her name was Tammy) and tried to explain to her my frustration but she was no help. She had a no care attitude also. Oh, I forgot to mention that they charged me 45.00 for the tire that should have been covered. Anyway, I went to Firestone and explained what happened and the nice store manager replaced my stud and put the tire on the rim for FREE. This walmart has very poor customer service and do not care anything about the saftey of their customers.

I purchased a set of tires from Walmart in January 2008. The tires are Goodyear Tracker 2. They have a 50,000 miles guarantee. I took my vehicle to Walmart today because all the tires are wore down to the wear indicator line. My vehicle has 30,000 miles on them. The tech even said they are wore out. I mentioned the tires and that they have not used up the mileage.

They did not tell me they were going to charge me for the tires. They asked me if i wanted to roll the lifetime wheel rotation because they would have to charge me for it. I told them i did. When it was done they handed me a bill for $363.50 without tax. I asked to speak with someone else about it. So of course they sent an assitant manager, one of the tech guys whom repeatedly told me about their "pro rata" way of screwing you over.

I tried to explain my rational for this but of course it didnt make sense. I have already paid for tires that I should have had for 50,000 miles but today i ended up having to spend more money on the same seriously defective tires with a $40 discount on each tire. Considering that 5,000 miles ago, i only used half the life of the tire.

If i took the vehicle into the shop in August, Pro rata would have been $65. But i guess the extra 5,000 miles cost me an extra $25. I should not have to pay over $900 for a set of tires to get 50,000 miles out of them. I do remember putting 70,000 miles on a set of Uniroyals one time. Now that is a tire that stands up to its mileage guarantee. $582.04 - original set of tires $363.50 - 2nd set of pro rated tires $945.54 - total for 30,000 miles

I bought tires new from Walmart almost 2 years ago. I almost hit a deer on the way home from work one night and it caused some damage so they replaced 3 of the 4 tires no problem. The last time September 13th 2009 I took the car in for the 3K mile oil change and tire rotation and Fix the tire that has been going flat for 8-10 months. They called me and told me that there was nothing they could do it was a "Mechanical Problem" so I went and discussed it with the technician, the manager Nancy and a couple other employees, they all claimed the same.. I drive this car 3000 miles a month so the car is in there every month getting tires rotated and oil changed. They do not keep records of the tire rotation and then want to blame the customer for lack of maintenance.

Christina the department manager wanted to doubt what Jake told me and then called the store manager and says " He said just give him what he says." then she comments, " I guess he is just tired of you as I am too." They discontinued the tires I have on the car before I got the two tires replaced and gave me a cheaper Douglas tire.. "Junk" as Christina described them. The store manager and district manager lie about things..Richard and John H do not correspond with each other and John H refused to talk to me about it when I made the trip there to the Culpeper store when we found out Richard was out sick.. John H said we had to deal with Richard. I had the car checked for the alignment and the only mechanical failure is Walmart's Lube and Tire technicians. I am not going to Walmart for ANYTHING anymore do to this Horrible experience.

Had a large bolt in front tire that is under road hazard waranty. Tire manager refused to replace the tire. Instead he had the tire patched. This tire is on a four wheel drive vehicle and is brand new tires bought at this location. Road hazard warranty cost $ 85.00 and is not worth the paper it is printed on. Was told the tire would be replaced. It was not.

I needed 2 new tires put on my car today and its a sunday, so service stations locally are pretty much closed. I thought "Hey, walmart does tires and they're open too!", little did I know that I was about to give myself the biggest headache EVER when dealing with a tire service station.

I waited for almost 2 hours while they "worked" on my car. Then a worker comes and tells me "Your lug nuts were too tight and 6 were stripped out, I got 5 to come off but one's on there really good and I can't get it. I'm just going to put a new tire and an old tire on the front- same in the back. Better take your car to another garage and have the lug nut taken off and bring it back and we'll rotate your tires for you". I really didn't think much of it because I worked at an auto body shop for a few years, so I said fine I'll go take the lug nut off.

Big mistake. I go to the shop and we worked on the car for almost 2 hours, the lugnut was completely and I mean completely ROUNDED OFF. We tried everything. The bad part is that the stud on the wheel looks bent as well from the workers monkeying around with it for over an hour.

I realized that this wasn't an easy fix and took the car back to walmart. At the service station the best they could do for me was rotate my other old tire onto my front end so they're the same and my new tires don't start wearing funny. "I don't know what to tell you, we didn't have the right size socket so we used a bigger one and that stripped it." SO HE LIED WITH HIS FIRST STORY ABOUT THE LUGS BEING TOO TIGHT!! AH HAH, something fishy is going on here for sure. I almost lost my cool and said I can't believe that nobody told me what was happening, because I had a tire iron in my car that fit my lugs!!

This whole mess could've been avoided from the start but I guess they aren't that intelligent at walmart's tire and lube they just jump in Rambo style and try to get the job done, whether they damage your car or not.

After I left the service garage I went straight to a manager in the front of the store. She was very nice and everything was going good, but then she called for the tire and lube manager who was anything less than pleasant. He was emotionless, cold, and unwilling to admit that this was their fault eventhough he DID agree that his service guys used the wrong size socket on my lug nut. I mean he was ready to blame anyone and everything possible in the world except his own guys for screwing up my wheel.

Now its about to snow anytime here, I've got a newborn son and a couple 6 month old tires on the front of my car that have barely any traction and 2 brand new ones on the back that don't help much because my car is front wheel drive. If I get a flat before this is fixed, I'm in deep trouble I'll need a tow and that means I'll miss my college classes that me and my family are depending on me finishing. I am going tomorrow to see a mechanic who is about the only person I know who could even have a shot at fixing my car. If he can't get the lug nut off, I don't know what I'm going to do at all.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, they don't pay their guys enough to care about what they're doing to your car!!!

walmart employee lied stating that the lugnuts were stripped.I took the car to another garage and the tire lugnuts came right off. not only did they give me the wrong tires,I asked for goodyears, they gave me uniroyals.I had to go to another garage to have the tires taken off. This process costed me another 30.00 dollars.

went to get 4 new tires was told to come back in 2 hours went back the dept. was closed.finally after finding the location of our keys all the doors were left open and 1 tire was locked up.walmart paid for a taxi home and towed the car to a garage.we never got our car key back and would except a discont on the 270.00 dollars for the purtchase.after all we spent 550.00 dollars at the store that day for nothing but a lot of bull and agervation an a lot of time out of day

asked counterman at tire an lube express at wal-mart to buy four new tires 225-60r-16.he led me to the goodyear viva two tires. said he had complete set four my car. wal-mart has a credit line i applied four. upon approval i told them to do the work. i told them i wanted my old tires, just put them in the tire bags an put them in my trunk.after returning from walking around in the store about 30 minutes later i asked counterman if i could get my service manuel from my trunk. When i walked back in work area nobody was working on my car an all four rims were off my car an on the floor, i found that odd with no employee around. i opened my trunk an found my tires (two) were in the trunk an not bagged as i asked. i assked the counterman to help me put the two tires in the tire bags which he did, then i asked why wasnt the servicemen around an working on my car. at this point he said they were trying to find two more of the viva two tires, which there wasnt any left.so counterman said he call another wal-mart store in area an locate me (two) viva two tires.

he found another wal-mart in area that had two left, and told me just take the credit paper to that store and they would happlie sell me an apply my tires. upon arrival the kearney wal-mart had called the suneshine wal-mart an told them i was on my way. when i arrived they put the rear viva (two) tires on my car. now when work was completed an time to pay the credit company wouldnt take the credit paper work. they said it had to be used in the store where i opened the account at which was wal-mart on east kearney st. in springfield missouri. at this point the asst. manager of tire and lube express on sunshine st. wal-mart in springfield mo. called for his boss to make a decesion. she told me i had two choices, either they would take the two off my car they put on in there store and apply my two old tires or i pay cash for them.

my reply was the idea was to use my new account with wal-mart with its 12 months same as cash deal as i was told when i opened the account earlier at the kearney st. wal-mart. she said that paper work could only be used at that store and, only the 12 mo. same as cash at that store and only good for that day. so i asked her for a deal on my tires she said no. i then asked her to get the general manager of the store, at this point she flinched, an asked me to quote her a price. i told her i cant do that, and then she said she couldnt quote me a deal. then i said i would have to speak to her boss, or call corpartive office and make a decesion. at this point the ast. mgr. of the tire center quoted me 23 dollars off the two tires. at which i agreed. i had to use my visa card to pay for the two viva (two) tires.

I ordered 4 tires for my Honda Pilot and the tires were $105 each. The clerk told me the total cost would be $560 and I asked why.The clerk told me two of the for wheel sensors were bad and would need to be replaced. The clerk then said the computer would have to be reset and that would cost $20. When I said I could go to the dealer for that price he told me the dealer would charge $125 for each sensor, which was a lie. I told him to put my tires back on and refused the deal. The next day I had two flat tires on my car.

As January lasr year was performed a flat repair on my rear tire, where the technician who did the work on my vehicle did not know to turn off the air spring of the vehicle, therefore, was damaged the two rear air bags, ripting the botom part of them causing a light leak, because the defect took too many months to be detected the damaged on those bags were severe and unrepairable, this year a gave the manager of this store the estimate to repair the damaged but until todays date I have not recived any comunication from WalMart to solve the problem, and because I neded the transportation I have been forced to repair myself those bags by ordering in the internet to adquire the two new Air Spring Bags for my Lincon Town Car. and sent to be fix and paid as the estimate shows. The manager only told me that he will send the paperwork to the WalMart insurance Office to be fix. but the insurance never say nothing.

I took two tires on wheels and hand carried in to the Walmart tire and lube at 12;01 on 8-8-09 to have balanced, The lady who was waitting on me did not know how to run the cash reg. Also did not know the price of the balance, so she ask a lady who was working in the shop. The lady told her it is 1.50 cent per tire. So I said I would like to have both tires balanced. She had all kinds of trouble making up the ticket, So I went out into the store to do some shopping.

When I came back to see if my tires were done she had people standing all around and the phone was ringing over and over. She was telling people she did not know what she was doing and she wished someone would come help her. After about and hour two other ladies came back from lunch and were trying to help her. I ask I may tires were done and was told that their were one to two cars ahead of me and that I would just have to waite, I told them I had been waitting for about and hour already.

Finely a worker came back from lunch and they told him to do my tires, so he took both tires to the balancer and set them by it and started talking to another worker, after about five mins. he put one tire on the balancer. Spines the tire and seees it needs some weight. So he goes and looks for the right weight and sees there is no weight for it, so he goes to the stock room and gets the boxes of weights. Brings them back, and puts them in the rack and writes them on a clipboard than puts them on my tire. Respines the tire, it is ok, puts the other tire on the balancer and spines the tire, sees it needs weight and goes to get the weight, but there is on weight for this, so he goes to the stock room and gets some more boxes of weights and takes them back to the rack and puts them in the rack and writes them on the clipboard, then put them on the tire. Then goes over and enter that he balanced the tires,

But he never check to see what the air prusser was in the tires so when I got home with the tires I had to add alot of air in each tire like about 5 to 6 lbs each. Than when I went to pay out the manger rang me out and charged me 5.00 per tire. and said I was told wrong. So is this the kind of service you give all of the people who send there hard earned money????

I arrived home from work at 4:30, and
noticed a nail in my tire. I arrived
at Walmart at 4:40 and was told they
were closing at 5:00 and only have one
person working and he was too busy.
One person in the entire Auto Repair
Shop? I was told to bring it back
tomorrow.

I will have to lose time from work, possibly have a flat, and probably have to call a wrecker to tow it to a repair shop. I don't think it would have taken them 15 minutes to fix my tire

To whom it may concern,

On January 12, 2008 I purchased a set of 4 Uniroyal tires P195/60R15 Tires from Walmart. On July 18, 2009 I took my car in for a routine oil change at Merchant Tire Service and had them balance my tires. Well they informed me that the tires were spliting. I then contacted Walmart where I had the the tires put on at and spoke with a Derick Daye, he then looked and the tires and stated they are defective so I had to purchase another set of tire. The Uniroyal tires that were on my car were not even 2 years old and the cost for that was 352.00. Since those tires were defective I had to purchase another set of tires for my car which cost me another 265.00 in which I no choice because I needed a new set of tires. So I would like to know who I need to speak with in order to get some type of compensation because I had to buy new tires before it was time to the a defection in the tires I purchased. You can reach me at the numbers above.

Thank you

On 7/17/09 I Found myself in need of new tires for my horse trailer. Wew hd a family trip which was dependent apon getting these tires replaced. I checked all over town for stock on these trailer tires and found them only at walmart. This is where the problems realy began. Even though they had a very modern and not busy sesrvice area to do this work, They refused to dismount from my vehicle or to remount on my vehicle the $500 set of tires I was buying. The only way they would mount my tires was If I took them off in the parking lot (in the sun) and brought them in to the still empty service area and wheel them back out and remount myself. I happen to battling Parkinson's desease and really struggle with this type of labor at this point in my life but even if I were healthy there is still no call for this type of service. They mentioned something about liabilty issues. I even showed the mgr. how by using a block designed for this purpose, You don't even need to jack to change tires. I cannot understand why You would want to be in the tire businness and build a sevice area and not want to utilize it.

I went to Walmart back in December to have my studded snow tires put on my car, told the tech that i wanted my all weather tires back. He said it would be a couple of hours before they got it done.So since i live 1/4 of a mile away i went home. Walmart called when my car was ready and my boyfriend went to pick it up upon him coming back i asked if he had my all weather tires and he said in the trunk i knew all 4 tires would not fit in the trunk so i called walmart they said they had made a mistake and to come right back and they would give me my tires.

My boyfriend got the tires and put them in the shed. All was fine until April 15 rolled around and he took the tires out of the shed and went back to walmart to have the studs off and all weathers back on. Surprise surprise the tires i got back from walmart were not my tires not even the proper rim size. When i called walmart i got the run around of course after speaking with several managers walmart determined that they had video survellence of the tech putting the proper tires in my trunk.

When i asked to see the video they told that it would be a breach of walmart security. I am a single mom with three kids going to school full time and working full time i cannot afford Walmarts screw up. I had bought my tires brand new the season before $125.00each Kuhmo tires. Thanks to walmart it is June 17 and i am driving a uninspected car because i cannot get a sticker with my studded snow tires on. I have filed a complaint with the local Better Business Bureau but as of yet Walmart has not responded. I spend alot of money in Walmart and am disappointed that they can steal from their customers.I could not go there and just take items i wanted and i feel that they have committed fraud by not returning my proper tires, i'm sure they thought i would just come by new tires from them in the spring. Wrong!

Driving a vehicle with 4 matching tires bought in 10/07, only 6000 miles on them. Driver my son, was on the highway going 60 MPH, heard a loud noise, thought his transmission fell out or something as drastic and as loud. Pulled off the exit, which was right there thank God, looked at car, tire had a 4-6" gaping ragged hole in sidewall. Rear tire, drivers side. He could have been injured fatally. Tire was obviously defective Jeep was towed to place of original purchase. Walmart in Waterford CT. They tested the thread on the other 3 tires and told my son they'd replace the blown tire as the thread on the others was fine.

I told m son we will not accept that as: 1. They'd all come from the same defective batch, and 2, Did not want mismatching tread on tires. Mind you, they felt the size of the tire was good for car at purchase, and then also today, the day one tire blew a gaping hole in sidewall. Son insisted, I also told him to speak to asst. manager Pat (or Cat?), who told me she'd look into recalls from that batch. They then agreed they'd replace all four. BUT, they said,(these were the same tech's who sold the tires and installed them on the jeep,) that the tires were too wide and rubbing on the bumper, That's why it blew. Rear tires don't turn so can't rub.

As I said before they wanted to put 3 matching (now incorrect size) just minutes earlier. So. I came, took pictures of the tire. 2 cameras to be safe. When we bought and had the tires installed at walmart they certainly didn't object to going from a 225 to a 235 as they said the wheel could handle that size. Now they're placing the blame on me for buying that size. They said it was fine. I'd like to add I'm afraid of these tires completely. If I had a choice I'd have chosen a different brand to be safe. They should pay for an alignment also.

One strange thing about this incident is that we were told the receipt for the four new tires will not be placed in the nationwide Walmart Database for warranty, and if he travels we must have the original with us to have coverage. Like they're possibly hiding this issue from Corporate.

I had bought tires a month before from walmart Well we were going to my wifes doctors apt. When the left front tire blew out, throwing the vehicle across the double yellow lines and into on comeing traffic, somehow tru devine intervention we or someone else wasnt killed we i got the car back to the right shoulder and changed the tire...this wearing full body braces. I inspected the tire haveing worked for seversl years in the tire busniss in a real tire shop.Their was no road hazzard injury to the tire no holes it was not run low or flat, the piece of garbage simply can clean apart about two inches from the rim.

Whenwe got to walmart we wer informed that it would be a 3 hour wait because several employees had to be let go the week beforewhen it was finally done the clerk asked for 58 dollars at which point i became livid and asked why when he knew it was his products failiar that caused us to almost die that its walmart policy to never accept blame for the garbage they selland i have now paid 140 dollars for a tire that i have no idea when its going to kill my wife and children

i arrived at 11 a.m. to get my tires rotated, was told it would be about 45 mins. before they got to it. that 45 mins came and went and in 2 hrs. i finally told the clerk i was leaving. the only reason i went there is my wife works close by at a major hostital, so it was convient for me to go there, but i bought my tires at another store and i will go back to that store, i will not use the wal-mart on Mansfield Rd.

i bought 4 new tires. they quoted me wrong. well they fixed. i asked how much extra a warranty was for the tire and the lady told me it comes with a warranty and there was no option to purchase any other warranty. so i said ok if something happens to the tire i get a nail anything im covered she sais yes. a month later i took it back in and there was a nail in they said they refused to cover it and said i was not covered and i said the lady told me i was covered for if anything happened to the tire.

will the guy kept arguing and then he would not even give me my tire back. they kept it. he called me and my husband a liar refused to let me speak to the lady. said he would handle it and i never did get my tire back that i paid for. i will never go there again. thay are disrespectful they also refused to call me back. i even called corperate and got no call back

I purchased a tire from walmart and a couple of weeks later I brought the car by walmart for them to fix the leak around the rim. I parked my car in front of the garage bay as requested by the automotive mgr and advised that it would take approximately 30 minutes. I informed them that I marked the leaking locations where the front passenger side tire was leaking on the rim with small white paint dots. Approximately 40 minutes later I went back to the automotive deparment. My car was then parked in the parking lot near the automotive department. I asked the clerk if it was ready and he replied that they couldn't find a leak. I never walked around the car to check it before leaving. I got into my car and drove home. Upon arriving home, my wife noticed a large dent in my car in front of the passenger side front tire.

I contacted the assistant manager about the damage, he advised me to come back so that he may take pictures and fill out a report. I drove back to walmart and did fill out the report while he took pictures. It was shortly around 7 pm, the automotive department was closing. The technician that worked on my car came out while I was talking with the asst mgr. He walked to the front of my car and stated that the damage was there when I first arrived. I responed that he was wrong. The car could use a paint job but there was no body damage. I was alread aggravated about my car when the technician told me that I was a lying fat [expletive]. That really ticked me off. I gave him a few choice words in retaliation of his vulgarities. He then said that he would whip my [expletive]. I would have appreciated him trying.

The assistant manager never said anything until I told him that the individual making those remarks was the automotive technician that worked on my car. The assist. mgr. looked confused but never said anything to the technician. The assistant mgr and I went inside to pull up my service ticket, there was no damage noted on the service ticket upon arrival, which I knew there wouldn't be.

Well I eventually got in touch with claims management about the claim on my car. After two weeks of hanging in limbo, I finally got a decision that they could not see any negligence on walmart by using the video cameras. He advised me that the picture was very grainy and he could not see any detail. Mr. Horton with claims management advised me that I could not have a copy of the video unless I had it subpoena into court. So what it boils down to is that they can screw up anything you have and claim there is no video evidence you can go back on to validate your complaint. Oh by the way the tire still leaks around the rim. I will have it taken care of somewhere else.

On April 3 2009 i brought in 2 rims on tires to have them put onto 2 new rims. They completed one and then started the other one and came out halfwaqy thru and said that they could not complete the work because there was a crack in my rim. This led me to look at the other one and see that there was chuncks of the rim missing and it was all dented up(ruined). So i asked to speak to the manager and he checked it out totally agreed that the damage was fresh.

So on April 6 2009 i brought in a estimate from 2 different car dealer ships for Angela bradford. she said because it was over $300 it had to go to CMI their claims department. That is when I had to deal with Bill. He was totally for it and thought it was lagit and then he took an interview and said he had to call angela. That is when the crap started the next morning he tells me that it is being denied becaus ethe rims are old and that the machine there cannot do that damage. i have 4 statents from 4 different REAL machanics that seen the rims and all 4 of them told me the same thing the kid that did the work didn't use the machine properly for aluminum alloy rims! To this Angela lady says all 4 of these certified machanics are wrong.

I told her on the phone that i was just going to speak with an attorny. she said well we can settle this in customer complaints for $300 and you can run with it because we are not responsible...now tell me something if they are not rsponsible then why when i said lawyer did she come out and say we'll pay $300. It's bull crap that i have to get some rims from a junk yard because they CANNOT TRAIN THEIR EMPLYOEES CORRECTLY!!!!! i am very dissatisfied with wal mart and I am taking ALL my business else where!

I still have to pay for the instalation of my tires and for the center caps that are $25 apiece and deal with rims that don't even match my front rims

I had a standard $20 tire rotation done on my 2000 Pontiac Grand Am SE on March 28th, 2009. At approximately 2:00p.m on March 4th, 2009 my car started to vibrate and I immediately thought maybe it was a bearing on the drivers side. I called a few mechanics and mimicked the sound I was getting and they said the same thing that I thought, that I would be fine until I could come in and see them. Being a single mother, I was waiting until pay day to take it to a mechanic to get this changed.

On Saturday, April 11, 2009 I was driving out to my parents' for Easter and the front driver's side wheel came right off my car and I crashed hard to the pavement with my 3 year old little girl in the car. I called for a tow truck, scared and very curious and upset about how my tire could just fall off, the tow truck driver retrieved the tire and lug nuts which were strewn about the street. I was extremely grateful. Looking at the rim of the tire, we discover that the tire wasn't even put on the car properly and the wear around each hole for the bolts to go through indicate as such...that the tire was not properly installed. Therefore, because a Walmart employee did not take the time to check and make sure the tire was on properly before he torqued the lug nuts on, he put my daughter and my life in danger and has completely caused all damage that happened to my car in cause of his mistake.

I stopped traffic while being stuck in the middle of the road due to my tire falling off. The damage to my car is estimated at $2200. The entire front quarter panel and fender are done and need to be replaced as well as the rocker panel. My tire rim needs to be replaced and the tow truck reimbursement as well as any physical liability that could have happened to my daughter or myself had I been on a busier street or highway. I think that the Tire and Lube center at Walmart in Cornwall, Ontario should pay.

My son bought tires from your store located on CY Ave. in Casper, WY for approximately $450.00 on February 18, 2009. He dropped the car off on his way to school, locked it up and gave the keys to a Wal-Mart employee. When he returned to pick it up, the driver side window was down. When we went in, the gentleman that worked on it immediately said he was not able to get the window to roll up. Kevin then asked how he got it down since it had been stuck for a couple months. The man said it hadnt been a problem rolling it down. Kevin later told me he would have had to force it down because he had tried to get it to work before and couldnt. The gentleman said we could bring it in the following day around 11:00, when his shift started, and he would take a look at it.

The next day, we were greeted at the door by the gentleman who said he was to call his manager when we got there. She comes out and immediately starts telling us how they were not going to fix the window because it had been broken when we brought it in. I started to explain how the window had been up when we left it and she rudely interrupted to say it didnt matter. I then asked to speak to her supervisor. She made a phone call and then said to me, youll recognize him, hes about 64? and 280lbs? as if she was trying to intimidate me or something.

He comes down and again, immediately starts telling me they were not responsible for the window, that we should have told them there was a problem with it when we dropped it off. I asked why, they were only changing out the tires. He then said its the law that when working on a car, the drivers window is to be down? he quickly corrected that with well, its not the law but it is standard procedure.? I said we were not aware of that, it wasnt posted anywhere, and why would we think they would need to roll the window down just to change the tires.? His reply was that they roll the window down in case they need to reach in and switch the car off while they are working on it. To which I said why would the car need to be running, you were changing the tires?? He then said it just doesnt matter, we are not fixing the window!?

I believe the automobile should be returned in the same condition, if not better, when it has been left at a shop. The window needs to be up, not only because it was winter, but also because Kevin has to be able to lock it when he is at school and also when he is at work. He has been having to find a ride to school, then to work, and another one home from work. That is three rides, every day!

My question now is, would you like us to get a couple estimates before fixing it, take it back to your shop, or just send the bill for reimbursement after its fixed?

My only comment is that the people you have in charge of your service department and the general manager of that store should take some lessons on people skills? from the gentleman that actually does the work.

a yr ago I went to walmarts in my hometown to have a tire replaced..I told the service desk what I wanted to have done and was told it would be about an hour. I called my daughter to pick me up and after an hour and half came back and there was no new tire on it and a lug nut missing. The guy in the shop said that they could not remove the tire because the lug nuts had to have a special thing to take it off..I took him that was stupid because I had brought it to walmarts before and they had replaced a tire..The guy did ever thing but call me a lier..saying there no way that happen here.you couldn't have and more.

I requested to have my name looked up in their computer and they refused saying no need..we took you we can't do it..I ask about the cap on the hub and they said it was already missing..I took them that it was not and the lug nut was gone also.they said that was missing also..I was so p o..by that time.. this guy was acting like I was a stupid woman and he wasn't going to listen to me..I left and went to the Ford dealer and ask if my tires needed a special tool to take them off..the guy came out and looked at them and was almost laughing aloud..I could see him smiling but was trying to keep it to himself out of respect..He said Ma I don't know who told you That but these tires need nothing special..I went back to walmarts and ask to speak with the auto manager, he came in and he looked at the service order that was mine before and I told him what the guy had told me and he said hold on a minute..

went and talk to the guy, came back and said, sorry he is young and just starting and didn't know..I said yea but look at my tire now, by this time I had inspected the rim and tire and the rim was bent one lug nut gone, and the cap for the hub cap was missing..The manager said he didn't do that..I ask him how he knew he wasn't here and if he was trying to get the tire off and didn't know how then yea, he did do it..The manager yelled at me saying no lady that was already missing..I told him, the walk around inspection before it wasn't listed and ask to see the paper..oh but the paper was lost and could not be found by anyone..

This guy stood there and called me a lier and treated me like I was nothing, I felt disrespected, degrated, and he was tryign to make me feel stupid also..I ask to speak with the store Manager and was told she was gone for the day..I ask for a # to call another store manager..was not given one..I left mad as all can be..went and had a tire put on at another place.call the store manager the next day, she didn't answer, called walmarts for her and was told it would be Tuesday before she was back..

Tuesday morning early I was there..I spoke with her and she was very nice..went back to speak with the auto manager concerning this and she returned to say he had taken care of it..I said what...no one has taken care of anything..She said he fixed the guy who didn't know how to fix my tire..I said what about the manger hisself for the way and manner he spoke to me and for still not replacing what they messes up and she stated that he said they hadn't done all that..I was about to blow at this point..4 days of this and my nerves were very much stressed..I said ok..this is the way it is..I want your managers # and his managers # and so on..she said oh no no no we can handle this..I said I don't think we can..she got on the phone ordered a new lug nut and a cap and gave me a 50.00 gift certicate..I was almost hurt..She didn't want to involve a boss of hers but yet they were still acting as if I was stupid and they did nothing..I left and let it go after several attempts to get in touch with a upper manager..whom would never return a call..But I knew why..they had got to him first and I was just a loud old woman who started trouble there..I knew they told him that, but that was ok cause I knew what they did and so did they..I will never take a car there again and I will never speak to the auto manager either..

I had my original receipt for my tires which included road hazard and free rotation. I left the truck, they said it would be done in two hours. Within a hour they called me at home and said they could not rotate tires unless I let them give the truck a front end alignment, I told them no, just fix the tire. Within 15 minutes they called back and said they could not fix the tire because the nail was to close to the side wall and i would need a new tire, which was a lie,the nail was 2 inches into the tread.

I stopped at a local auto repair shop on the way home and he fixed the tire for $5.00. My complaint is the shop manager was attempting to scam me because the rotation and fixing the tire would have been no charge. Just a waste of time because they would not honor there road hazard policy that was on the original receipt.

my daughter ask the tech specificly to swith the tires left to right and not to do a full rotation. he did a full rotation because he thought he knew best. the car was then hard to drive. I have had the tires swithed like this twice and it is fine. he had no right to go against my daughter and my wishes just because he thought we are women and idiots. There is a reason for this and he should of done what he was asked.

This is the third time we have had a problem with this walmart. we buy tires for 5 cars at walmart and will not go back to this one for service. he is just lucky that she didn't have a accident because of him not following our wishes. the car pulled to left very badly - she was on her lunch and had to get back to work. as far as damage we don't know yet

On November 20, 2008, I arrived at Wal-Mart @ 7:00AM to have my winter tires put on. At 7:21AM Glen asked "can I help you", I said I was there to have my winter tires put on, he took my info, asked me to sign the work order, took my car keys and lock nut key and said it would be about 20 minutes. At 8:39AM he said my car was ready. I paid. He gave me the keys and the invoice, and off I went. On Dec 23, 2008, 15 seconds after exiting the highway, my front/drivers side wheel falls off, damaging the front fender/wheel well.

I called Wal-Mart, they sent and paid for the tow truck to tow my car back to the store, they confirmed that I did have my wheels put on at that store, but they couldn't put the wheel back on until the morning because they didn't have any bolts that fit my car (they will have to order them from the dealership). Sharon (the duty manager on call that night) took pictures of the damage and said she would have to submit a claim because of the damage to the car.

On Dec 24, 2008, first thing in the morning, a very nice lady named Lorraine from Cunningham & Lindsey Canada Claims Service, called to take a detailed report of the incident. She offered me a rental car which I declined because I had access to a vehicle over the holiday. She told be that "Vladimir D." would be the person I would be dealing with after the holidays. Lorraine called my back later that afternoon to inform me that the car was ready to be picked up and it was checked and test driven and they felt it was safe to drive. I picked the car up and drove home where it stayed until the claims officer tells me where to take it to have it inspected. 2 weeks passed and then the call stating that they will not cover the damage to the car because I signed the "Work Order" which contains the claus "WAL-MART TAKES NO RESPONSIBLITLY FOR WHEELS BECOMING LOOSE OR FALLING OFF IN NOT RETORQUED. I have been driving for 30 years, and have had many tire changes and have never heard of such a thing. Either they torqued the wheels properly or they didn't.

I had a flat tire so I took my car in to walmart to have it replaced since the tire was from Walmart and I had the road hazard warranty. When I went to drop it off the manager said that they could put the new tire on the rim but not mount it on the car as the tire was smaller than the manufacturer recommended. When I pointed out that they had in fact put that size on in the first place the manager told me that this was new policy per the district manager that they only go with manufacturer recommendations and they are willing to make it right if I buy 4 of the bigger tires. I told them to just put the tire on the rim since I had 2 brand new tires from a different tire company and to please do an oil change.

This all took place at 11:25 am when I returned at 4:00pm I was told that they did not do the oil change because there was no oil on the dip stick. They said they had been trying to call me all afternoon. Which was not true since I had my phone with me all day but never received a call until 3:48. I paid for my new tire at a discounted rate and was highly upset. The girl behind the counter proceeded to mock me and the mechanic walked out of the bay door to laugh at me. I understand new policy and I understand that it was my fault that there was no oil in my car but to go out of their way to laugh and mock me was highly unnecessary. I feel like they did nothing to help me only make fun of me and put me in a worse position then I was already in.

I had to spend more money to have the tire mounted on my car and get my oil changed. I was out more time away from work and my children as I was taking my car to yet another place for the second day in a row.

I recently called my local walmart center to purchase 2 new tires for my truck as i always do. and since i bought the last 2 at walmart with no problems, i wanted to match the 2 that was already on the truck, so i called ahead to make sure they had the tires in stock and there would be no problems with me coming in today to have them mounted. I was assured by the person answering the phone, that there was no problem with that. So I arranged to drive to the store which is located in the next town over from where I live to get my new tires put on....wrong.. it seems as though walmart has a new rule which does not allow them to mount tires that differ from the sticker in your door jam. Now suppose that sticker was unreadable or they had changed the driver door of my truck?

truck is 1989 not new, not 4x4, not jacked-up.just plain passenger truck with Wrangler 235rh75-15 tires, that were installed by walmart 2-yrs.prior. they then wanted to sell me the tires that they said were made for my truck which were 225rh75-15 at a higher price than the wrangler tires. I'm pretty agrivated by this time and i'm thinking well this is just some one having a bad day and wants mine to be just as bad, so I decide not to buy the tires there and would go to another Walmart in another town to perhaps find someone in a better mood. Next Day I drive 100 miles over to next town with severl walmarts to find one who might possibly be able to sell me the 2 new tires that i wanted, Ha!

I go into the service center and get into line with 3 other customers at the time wait approx. 15min-20 min. to get my turn, the man was very polite and ask how he could help me today and I told him That I wished to buy 2 new tires to match the ones that were on the front of my truck and they were Wrangler 235r75-15. He said ok as he was checking his computor for the item to see that it was in stock. It was and he proceded to take my information..name/ address/ phone #/ email and color of the truck? after another 20min.'s and 5 people in line behind me, he finally said ok and ask me where I wanted the new tires installed on my truck?

I told the man that i wanted them on the front and the older ones rotated to the rear, (this is the way i have always done for my vehicles and i,m 2 old to change now) anyway he then said again, you mean you want me to put the new tire on the front rims and move them to the rear of the truck? No sir, I want the new tires on the front of the truck please. Again, You mean you want me to put the new tires on the front rims and rotate one to the front and one to the rear of the truck. I looked back at the people standing in line now going on, for what seemed like ever. I then said to the man Who's on Second? I received pretty much a blank stare. Well anyway I once again said, I would please like the new tires on the front of the truck. [pause] i was really hoping he didn't ask me the same Question again. And much to my surprise he finally did'nt. He said, I'm sorry I can't put new tires on the front of your truck. I'm dumbfounded. You can't What? He said it again, I can't put new tires on the front of your truck.

Ok, by now every one in line is looking very strangely, at both of us. So I calmly asked the clerk Why he felt like he couldn't put new tires on the front of my truck? he said its a Walmart rule, that he can't sell me new tires for the front of my truck only the rear. so I asked him how they manage to just put new tires on the front when they sell you 4-tires? All I got was its a WALMART RULE. So I then asked if i could just buy the tires and i would pay someone else to mount them. ok!, we finally reached an agreement. I did purchase 2 new Wrangler 235rh75-15 tires, that are still riding in the back of my truck, waiting to be mounted.

However you must know this, I own other vehicles besides this one and have always purchased my tires this way and will continue to do so..it just won't be from Walmart ever again. I will be having new signs made saying, WALMART RULES...shop where you can buy quality service. Oh yes, (now keep in mind all of this had nothing to do with the tire size located in the door.

When I left the store the customer in the line behind me, told me that he could not believe what he was hearing from that conversation, I told him i felt so exhausted and the sad part was, [Walmarts] are everywhere! mileage/fuel/time/mental anguish/demenished mental capacity

I bought two front tires for my 2000 honda accord p195/65r15 viva2. I noticed that it pulled a little to the right. I latter took to have it aligned on the02 09 09. The alignment was done and it still pulled to the right, he then put left tire on the right, right tire on the left then it pulled to the left. He told me the tire is bad. I went to walmart to get the tire changed after about two hours they told me my car is done. Igot into my car an as soon as i turned the corner it did the same thing plled to left. I am going back to the alignment shop have him check it again if it shows that the tire bad, i will be very upset.

if the tire is bad that will two times of selling defective products. The person at the counter didnt know how to handle the situation

I brought my wheels to Walmart to replace the tires. I called ahead to ask if they could mount a 30 series low profile tire on a 19 wheel. They told me no problem. When I got the wheels back I noticed three large scratches on the polished lip of the rim. They told me to find a wheel repair shop and they would pay to have the scratches fixed. I sent the estimate to them from a reputable wheel repair shop and they informed me they now have a place local that will fix the scratches. So I brought the wheel in and they said it will take a day to fix.

7 days later (I) called to find out if the wheel is back and Mike who works at the tire center told me I need to call Wheel Max (wheel repair) because something is wrong with the wheel. I called and He told me the wheel is bent!!!!!! The wheels were fine before!!! The wheel max employee told me that you could not balance a tire on a bent wheel. So how did walmart balance them before!

I called the Walmart and spoke to the Tire center Manager, Asst. Manager, Store manager, and the District Tire Center Manger and they still have done nothing to help! Not very good service if you ask me! Now I have a damaged warped wheel that I have to fix on my own. Thanks Walmart!

Time, Money, Suffering!

I purchased a new Ford Focus and have been the sole owner since 2001. I have also used Wal-Mart for my tires since the cars purchase. However in the last few years, in my opinion, the tires have been of a low quality and have been unreliable and unsafe. On January 26, 2007 I purchased 4 Douglas Xtra-Trac P185/65R14 tires. I had them installed; I also purchased the road hazard and lifetime balance and rotation. The tire wore evenly and still has plenty of tread on them. However in Feb/March of 2008 the car developed a violent shake. We pulled the car over and found a large bulge in the tire. We took the car to Wal-mart and they replaced the tire giving us a $13.00 pro-rated credit for the unused portion of the 45000 mile tire.

On September 2008, The car again developed a similar violent shake again, however we could not find the cause, nor could the Wal-mart service technician (who did not drive the car; he just visually inspected the tires. The car set for two months because I believed the suspension needed replaced. In December the car still had a shake and I parked it again, waiting for money to fix the suspension. In January 2009 I took the car into a tire shop (Other than Wal-Mart) they informed me all the tires steel belts were separated. I am amazed at the poor quality of these tires. I was told by Wal-mart that they were 45000 miles, but barely got 30,000 miles on the when they started separating.

I also am concerned that I purchased 4 new Douglas tires for my Girlfriends 2001 Saturn. I am very concerned that I had received such poor quality tires on my car, that I will replace hers also when I replace mine. I will also not be using Good Year or Wal-mart for any tire purchase in the future. Replaced 4 of 5 tires purchased that separated before 30,000 miles on one car. And replace 4 - six moth old tires on another car for safety concerns.

About two Yrs. ago my wife & my daughter went to Wallmart together to buy some tires for my wife. When they looked at the installed tires before they left the shop At Wallmart, they saw a bulge in one of them at the seam. They pointed it out to Wallmart before they left & the employee at Wallmart told them it was allright. (He said oh that't normal it's just a bulge at the seam; don,t worry.) They mistakenly took his word for it. If I would have been there I wouldn't have excepted it. But my wife & daughter trusted him. I don't drive her car so I never noticed it.

reciently she had a slow leaking tire so I took it in for her to another Wallmart in Kalamazoo, located on West Maine to get it fixed. When they fixed it, they told me that another tire had a bulge in it at seam & it was dangerous & needed to be replaced. They looked up the information on the sales of the tires & the said there wasn't an extended warrantee placed on the tires. I called my wife & she said she knew about the bulge & the employee at Wallmart assured her that it was safe, & our daughter & also our son in law was present when he said this. I told them about this & he basically said how do we know she didn,t hit something?

my wife drives a bus for a living & she used to drive an 18 wheeler for a living & she told him she never hit anything with her car & the bulge was there when she bought the tire. They told her that she couldn't prove that she didn't do the damage & they wouldn't replace the tire. I guess they're calling my wife, my daughter, & my son in law all liars. We can't afford to buy another tire right now. Is there anything we can do about this besides never going to Wallmart again?

I wonder if Michellon tire Co. would make them replace the tire. It seems that Michellon would be interested in the series numbers on the defective tire; It's a law suite just waiting to happen. I'm just sorry I told her that Michellon was one of the better tires. If they don't want to make it right, I wont be buying any more of their tires. I also wont advertise anything good about them. I'm thinking/hoping that Michellon will back me up on this. It seems like Wallmart would like to take this tire off the road & send it back to Michellons so they can do a re- call if they have to. All around the bulge it's starting to crack now.

Since she bought the tires she has had a four doller an hour cut because of the economy. (Now making Eight dollars an hr.) Consequentally we can,t afford to buy another tire; so she has to drive her car like this. Thanks.

I took my brand new car in this morning for an oil change around 10:05 am. It is 4:45pm and I went out to my drive way and noticed that my paint is gouged on the hood with two dents. I am posotive that it was damaged in their service bay. My car has only 4400 miles on it, I JUST BOUGHT IT and have only made TWO payments on it. I called and asked to speak to a manager and was told there was not one available. I will let my husband know when he gets home and allow him to handle this. Shouldnt wal-mart be required to prove they did not cause the damages?

The paint on my new car is gouged all the way to the metal, if its not repaired there will be rust, each of the two gouged areas also has a hail sized dent under it.

Bought a couple of Walmarts tires and afterwards noticed that they had stolen my custom wheel caps. When contacting customer sevice, they stated that I could order new and they'd cover it. Fine, I thought, simple mistake. About a week later I noticed that one tire started losing air over a period of time. I took it in after a month of dealing with nearly flat tires. They would not help me because I had not purchased insurance.

I found a manager who had the guys look at the car after all. They sighted it as a bad valve stem and said they had fixed the problem. I have continued to have problems with the same tire. It ended up rupturing after about 3000 miles due to excessive wear from constantly going flat. Saddly my bad experiences with walmart and other major corporate car shops do not end here.

I am voicing a complaint of service and damage to my personal property by store #2089. On Sunday 12/18/08 I noticed a screw in the tread of the passenger front tire of my vehicle, and drove less than 5miles to store 2089 for a patch-plug. I was greeted and checked-in promptly and left my vehicle in their care. After ~1.5 hours I returned to pick it up. I paid, and then went outside to drive off but noticed the center cap of the affected wheel was missing. A closer look showed new damage to the outside center of the wheel consistient with having been dropped or laid down on the pavement, as well as circular grooves in the wheel metal from the tire mounting equipment. I imediately took several pictures, which I can provide.

After re-entering the store and talking with the service staff, information for initiating or filing a claim was exchanged. However, no one was able to find the missing center cap until I personally walked over to the tire mounting machine and picked it up. Further, the affected tire-wheel was not re-balanced. I never recieved a straight answer why that was not done. As I live several hundered miles away and was only visiting locally, I needed to get back on the road. The affected wheel shook the entire vehicle all the way home.

Additionally, I checked the tightness of lugnuts after 50 miles, as indicated, and found the locking (keyed) lugnut to be only finger tight, at best. Coincidentally, all four wheels were inspected, balanced, and rotated just 2 days earlier at the local Honda dealership as part of an unrelated warranty service item. No damage or vibrations at that time. I have do have miltiple photographs of this damage, and I am assumihg in good faith a claim will be initiated by store personnel although I never recieved so much as an apology or time committment.

Present- Ruined aluminum wheel on new vehicle. Services paid for but not performed. Future- Cost of my time to correct damage. Loss of use of vehicle during repair.

Went into TLE for two wiper blades, tires balanced, and air for tires (sensor light was on) Service tech rotated tirs (which I told them do not do) did not add proper air to tires to turn off sensors, and stole the Lexus vavle stem caps.

Contacted Avon Indiana twice about incident and on 12/23/08 was transferred (4) times and they denied they touched valve stem caps, hence did not fill tires with air which affects balance, and knew my caps were chrome and said nitrogen, but did not have n2 in them.

8 months ago I purchased 2 Goodyear tires from Walmart and both tires popped on my way to work sending my car into the curb and breaking my axle. The car is an older Honda and is now totaled as the cost of the repair is more than the value of the car itself. Meanwhile I'm left with no transportation and no response from WalMart or Goodyear. I need an attorney to convince upon Walmart and Goodyear to fix my car and pay for a rental until the work is done. Can anyone help me?

I ordered 4 tires online as they appeared to have the best price. The tires were shipped to the nearest Walmart Tire and Lube as they said. However, when I picked up the tires, the price was $15 more per tire. I had an e-mail from Walmart.com that quoted the price I would pay, but this made no difference to the local store. Their price in the computer was $15/tire more than the Walmart.com price and they could not change it. Even if there is a price inmcrease during the few days it took to ship the tires and then for me to pick them up, the price quoted at the time of online sale should hold.

This smells of scam. My advice is to not trust the online quoted price of tires or any other item that has to be delivered to your local store.

I went to replace a tire at walmart, but they replace the wrong tired, they left the bad tired on the back of my car. I went back to the store to let them know the mistake but they refuse to replace the tired, I paid more than $150.00, and I would like them to refund or fixed the problem.

I called my job to be late to take care of this situation, and I almost have an accident when the tire got flat.

On November 26th,08, I brought my 2004 Buick Rendez Vous to have four winter tires installed at Walmart Store in Sudbury. Unfortunately, your service was inadequate. I am disappointed because the employee left the inside of my drivers door full of grease residues and drivers seat very filthy, certainly not the way the car was brought in. The service was not performed correctly. To resolve the problem, I would appreciate my money back and a complete interior shampoo billed to Wal-mart. I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem and will wait until 5-December-08 before seeking help from a consumer protection agency or Better Business Bureau.

I have a lifetime balance and rotate policy on my tires from Wal-Mart. The service department refused to rotate and balance my tires yesterday, 24 November 2008 because they felt my tires were too worn. They offered to sell me a new set. I may buy a new set soon, but it will not be from Wal-Mart. How can Wal-Mart refuse to perform a service that I've paid for. BTW, my tires are not that worn.

My tires will not wear evenly if I do not have them rotated and balanced by someone. Failure to do so may lead to complete tire failure.

I purchased 4 tires from an online company and had planned on taking them to walmart to be put on. I live back in the boonies and we are not close to anything, so I call walmart ahead of time to see what time they close, the lady tell me 8pm. So I ask her if I can make an appointment, she tell me no as long as I am there before 8pm they will take me in. So I drive the hour and a half that it takes me to get to the closest walmart.

I get there at 7:45pm, a guy comes outside and tells me that they cannot take me because they have already swept and it is almost 8oclock. Needless to say I was not very happy but accepted it as a crappy part of life. So I decide to go ahead and drive an extra 30 minutes to my in-laws and stay all-night there and go first thing in the morning since I had work to do in that area the next day.

I arrive at walmart at 6:40am they open at 7am. The doors were locked when I arrived so I was not able to go in to wait, so I wait in my car. Another car pulls up at 7:01 and goes around through the main doors, FINALLY at 7:10 I see movement inside the garage area, they men start moving the tires out of the gates, and preparing for customers, at 7:30 a man asks me what I need done, I tell him I need 4 tires put on, I ask him how long does he think it will take, he says about 45 min because and get this? there is one person in front of me the guy that went around the building in the front way? I tell him but I have to have it done by 8am because I have to leave for work and that is why I was there waiting at 6:40am before anyone else. He gives me a blank stare and says nothing. At this point I am in such an enormous rage from the night before and now this I just get my keys back and leave because now it is 7:45 and there is no point wasting anymore time with walmart. It must be a nice place to work though, close early and come in late!

low tire light was on took to walmart for repair light duid not go off afterwards 11 19 08

11 21 08 went to toyota dealer no sensor in right front wheel, sensor broke off valve causeing tire pressure light to stay on when customer had tire repaired.cost of installing new sensor $316.00.

I went in to the Billings,MT Walmart Tire& Lube center to have a screw removed from the tire tread of my truck tire on my Ford Ranger. I checked in at the front counter the clerk Mark at first seemed as if he did not care to help me. I told him I would like to have the screw removed and the tire patched and then I asked him how long it would take. He told me it would take about an hour. I told him I would like to be put on the list and I would browse the store and shop while the punctured tire was being fixed.

So I went shopping but after about an hour I returned to the Auto center desk where there were two clerks one was on the phone and he sounded like he was making personal phone calls while ignoring the large line of customers at the desk. There was approximately 8 or more customers in line. I waited until my turn had come to talk to the clerk Mark. I asked if my truck tire was done yet, he could not find the repair paperwork so he dissapeared for a few minutes to go find it. When her returned he said my service was CANCELLED because Walmart beleived the tires were not fixeable and they could not find any screw even after I showed another clerk the screw in the tread. They told me I could buy a complete new set of tires but otherwise they could not do anything for me.

When I asked why they had not called me they gave me a blank stare and gave me attitude like they did not care at all. At this point, I was mad because had I known they would not perform any service and fix my tire I would have gone elsewhere to get it fixed. Then they tried to pressure me into buying new tires and then told me it would be another hour or so to put on the tire they had removed back on. I asked for them to put the tire on now and cancel the work order. Then both clerks Mark and Cody gave me attitude and Cody threw the keys at me. The older lady behind me had a similiar problem and demanded to speak to a store manager and was told none were available. I walked out in rage voying never to remain to Walmart to buy anything again!!!! Then the clerks gave me a rude stare and I left. Next time I will go to my local tire store where I know they will not treat me like this and I will get actual customer service. I can't believe Walmart would hire such rude clerks but theie recruitment bar must be pretty low!!

I wasted nearly two hours of my day but they did not damage anything, which I was glad.

Purchased new tires and lifetime service to include rotation, road hazard and Tire Pressure Monitoring System reset in Neosho MO.

I was on a trip to Missouri and had the tires rotated, when I was on the way home to Colorado the TPMS system showed problems. I took the truck to wal mart in Woodland Park, CO and was refused service on my TPMS...even though they sell the service they will not do the service (and I know that the department has the equipment). I was told that they have no technicians who can do the work and that is how it will remain for the time being. I then took my truck to the 8th street Wal Mart in Colorado Springs, CO and the technicians attempted to reset the sensors but were unable to due to lack of training.

My TPMS was not reset and I feel ripped off.

I had purchased 4 tires in 2006 with Road Hazard. Sep 2008 I had a flat tire, I took it back to them and they said it cant be repaired you have to buy a new one, and they would prorate it. They gave me a proration of $19 on new tire which was 50. The total came to $42 something with taxes, no tire balance, nothing else was charged, i bought road hazard again on the new tire for $9

Next week after this, I had a another tire went flat, I took it to them, and thought they would say the same about buying a new one and prorate it. When I go in there, they said they would not prorate and that i have to buy it at full price. I said why, I had same thing last week with another tire. They said because the tire went bad because of alignment. I said how come you did not say that about the tire last week, because I bought all of them at the same time, and they all have been used the same.

Then I talked to their manager, who gave me a weird answer saying, that the first tire had a nail, thats why they did it. I cant understand, if it is a nail why wouldnt they fix it instead of making me buy a new one. And it is not true because with the first tire the mechanic told me that has to be replaced because it is worn out.

I had to $76 with taxes on the second tire. charged me full price no proration and also charged tire balance which was not charged on the first one.

I cannot understand how they treat the same problem two different ways in a span of one week.

I would agree with them if when i bought the first tire and they said it is bcos of alignment and u have to pay full price. but they did not . second time they did. There is no consistency.

I have been a regular walmart customer but this incident has really hurt and attitude of the manager who cannot honor the same thing that her own colleague did a week ago , and giving me a nail answer is ridiculous.

I have to pay almost $30 more the second time. As I said I bought all 4 tires with road hazard and lifetime balance in 2006 and that means I have 2 more tires for which I paid all the road hazard stuff which may go bad and Walmart will not honor it.

On October 03, 2008 this is what occurred. I called the Wal-Mart store to inquire about getting new tires. I was put on hold for several minutes each time. The 2nd time I called I was told that the manager of the dept Sandra was going to call me back and I left my # and name. She never called back and I called @ 3:41 and Sandra still could not be found. I had to hang up because I was at work. When I got off work @6:05PM, I drove to the location while on hold again. By the time I got to the store she picked up. I told her that I was outside and would walk inside. I explained that I had come on Monday to get 3 tires for my car and they only had one tire of the brand that I wanted. They told me that I could check on Wednesday and they should have the tires in.

I called on wed and the tires were not there and there was no one that could tell me when they would be in. I simply wanted to know since the tires had not met its warranty of 60000 miles what could be done. She went outside with me and looked at the tires. She explained that she had been at work since 6:30Am and had forgotten to call me back the entire day. I explained that the back driver tire had a slow leak in it and I had to put fix a flat in it to get home because it was flat. She stated that they could take the tire off and remove the fix a flat and see if there was still a leak if so they would patch it and put the tire back on.

Well my main concern was what would be the effects of removing it from the tire. Would it cause problems with the tire? What would happen if it made the problem worse? Well I was told that was a chance that I would have to take. I explained that I think the tire should be replaced. Sandra refused to neither replace the tire nor look in the system to see how much they could even discount a tire since all my tires were bought from Wal-Mart and they had each purchase from that store in the system. I asked to speak with her store manager. I was told he was gone for today so I called and filed a complaint at 1-800 while she went to get the assistant store manager (Deborah J) who proved to have no training on being a manager from her bad attitude. She looked at the tire and then said that she was not going to allow them to take the tire off because I had fix a flat in it.

She then asked me about my spare tire for my car and that I could have put that on the car and then brought the flat tire in to be replaced. I thought that was a poor choice of statements to be used in this case. She lacked customer service skills and had no knowledge of the policies for the tire dept. another comment that was made was you have 90 days to return with a receipt. She must have not known that that policy does not apply to tires. She also refused to look up the past tire purchases that were in the system because I did not have a receipt with me. The ironic thing was Sandra had just told me they could remove the fix a flat and patch the tire.

So I don't understand why One person would tell me one thing and then I am then told they could not do anything. I have never been treated so disrespectful by and individual in the tire dept until today. She started to talk over me and yell at me like I was not the customer. So I yelled back then let her have a few choice words that fit her attitude. I then proceeded into the store to obtain the store manager and district manager info to make sure they know what kind of managers they had working for them and representing the store. The workers were tired and ready to go, so even if I could have gotten new tires it was going to be a rushed job. That is when mistakes happen that could cost me my life. I feel that I should have been treated as a valued customer and a solution should have been found to make me a happy customer Not once did Deborah J apologize or say anything about an alternative solution the problem she was just rude and wanted to argue to show she was the manager and to her I was nothing but a dissatisfied customer. I am going to be talking to the District Manager about the treatment that i received and will not let this rest.

Had 4 tires mounted and balanced at Walmart. A few oil changes later I went back to the same walmart to get the tires rotated and balanced. They said one of your lugnuts is stuck. They said that it was stripped and hammered back on. Refused to work on car. I went back and spoke with a manager. He agreed to fix the stud and gave me a free oil change. However several of the mechanics accused me. It took a lot of self control to keep my cool at that point.

I called later to see if they could fix it they said they'll call back. I'm going up there today to get the stud replaced. Oh yeah, if you pay for the upgraded oil change they don't add power steering fluid. This is one of the nicest walmart's you'll ever see. (nicest part of plano) don't be fooled. Their car service is crap.

I recently got a flat tire. I've got the spare on there but it's a donut and I can't drive much on it. Of course I have to have the stud replaced before anyone will mount the wheel back on the car.

I brought tires, warranties on all tires. My tires are warrantied as long as I own car. I went in to the store to buy a set of tires and the manager said they could not sell them to me or work on my car because of custume rims. They said it was dangerous and they could not be liable. Well they put a tire on free of charge this day. I orginally brought the tires from walmart & they put them on. Now I need more tires and they refuse to do the work. I have brought about three differant sets of tires since the orginal sell. Walmart has put them on. I have wrote a letter to higher management & submitted all my orginal recipts. I have not gotten a reply. This has happened several times. I need tires on my car. Every other day I have to put air in my tires. This is very frustating to me. I did business with walmart, payed for a service & can't get any satisfaction.

this is not safe for me to ride around on this tire and I have kids. What if they blow out. I also had to go to sevral diffrent tire shops for my patch work this has cost me money and contiue to cost me money. When I'm suppose to have warranties which cost me over $200.00 to buy for my car. I missed schol because my tire was flat & walmart did not fix it. All this is documented through receipts in which I have & I have submitted them two times to walmart. I'm wondering if I should contact my attorney & submit these documents to him, since I have no satisfaction from walmart.

August 10, 2008- I proceeded to call Walmart's tire service center to check up on two front tires. Now I am a 25 year old young lady and I work Mon-Fri. I caught one flat tire and the other one had a lump which was making the car shake very bad. i called to price some tires and they went on to telling me that the tires were $100.00 dollars a piece i asked did they have any used tires and they replied no. Now how am I supposed to pay that when gas is so high and [they] dont offer used tires. That doesnt make any sense, [those] guys is supposed to be the kings of the rollbacks. But I dont see how when [their] tires are a arm and a leg. There is no physical damage or economical damage but [they] dont need to sell one thing if [they] cant provide everything

The end of May I went to my Walmart Tire and Lube center to have all four of my tires replaced. I drop my car off and am told it'll be about an hour. Not a problem. I go into the store an pick up some items I needed before coming back to wait in the waiting area. I am there four hours for them to change my tires. I live just down the street and go straight home as I worked in the morning and it's now past 10 p.m.

The next morning I start my way to work when I hear what I thought was the tire rubbing on the passenger side. I get to work and check the tire but find no heat and no signs of rubbing. I contact Walmart that day and they said to bring it back in and they'd look at it. I do so and they can find nothing wrong and I'm told that I can come back the next day in the morning to talk to one of their head mechanics. I work morning hours for the next two days, unhappily driving on this loud tire before I get back in.

The head mechanic says she can find nothing wrong either and I should take it to Les Schwab and see if I need an alignment. They did opt to rotate tires to see if it helped at all. It didn't. I go to Les Schwab, they find nothing but a bent rim, which isn't causing the noise, I have it changed and away I go. Noise still intact. My parents came to visit and my father, a hobbyist mechanic goes over the tire as well. As a last ditch effort to figure it out we check the pressure. The drivers side tire is at 85psi and the tire limit is 44psi. I had not put air in these tires after getting them changed, I hadn't done anything to them which means the pressure is what it was when I left walmart.

For supposed professionals they didn't give me very good service on my car and I could have died from the fact that they were negligent. I will never be going to Walmart for tires again. Ever.

I bought new tires from Walmart with a service warranty and twice when I returned (normal working hours 9-5) to have my tires rotated, Walmart did not have tire techs on duty to do the work.

I use Walmart for the quick enviroment and convinance. My last episode with thier tire center was horrible but I struck it up as a bad experiance. This morning at 11:50 am I dropped my vehicle for a oil change and a tire to be mounted on the right rear due to the fact the tire I had on the vehicle had a plug in the sidewall until I could afford another tire because I live alone and on a disability check only. My Physical conditions leave me in a position that I can niether sit nor stand for long periods of time. The customer center was full of people and there were only three hard school like chairs in the area anyway. I walked the store as long as I could; I came back to the center. My vehicle was not ready. There was no place to sit so I went outside and found a chiar to sit in.

After sitting for a period of time and relizing my vehicle had yet to be even brought in for service; I walked the store again. After returning to the Car Center agian,my vehicle had still yet to be taken care of or even brought in. There was an empty chair in the center so I sat for a period of time. After no longer being able to sit, I again walked the store. My third time around and over two hours later I AGAIN went back to the center where it appeared they were completing my vehicle. NO ONE offered any apology for the time consumed nor my inconvinance.By this time I was COMPLETELY worn out and in major pain. I paid my $35.21 ticket and came directly home. I noticed both right tires appeared to be low in air pressure and looked at them closely. There were still plugs in both right side vehicle tires. I was angry however totally exhausted and could not make another trip back to the store.

After entering my home I looked at my ticket and saw that they had replace the driver's side tire; which was a perfectly fine tire! Then made notice that the two tires on the passanger side were unsafe due to plugs. My daughter called the tire center and explained how I was handicapped and I could not be put thru the ringer like this. No Manager was on duty for the tire center and they explained they had three techs. walk out on them today. This is no excuse. They did however offer at my conviniance to change the tires at no cost.

My Husband later took my vehicle to the store to have the tires put on correctly. They did what they were suppose to do and might I add at no cost. However, after being promised that once the vehicle got to the center they would get it in immediately; again sat for a total of 53 minutes for them to switch the tires over. He spoke with the store Manager being that no Tire Center Manager was available on Saturday and no one knew his phone # nor how to get hold of him. The Manager of the store only offered a mere ( I'm sorry.)

After arriving back home I had to take medications for the pain I was in, not to mention being exhausted. This put me in bed for 5 hours and making me miss a wedding that I was to be present at. The fuel back and forth of my cost in which my vehicle had to be taken back for the correct repairs. A total of over 4 hours in travel time and thier repair time to get the vehicle right. Thier customer service center needs to be more handicap equipted and more than a few VERY uncomfortable chairs available to customers.

Well like so many other complaints that I have read I was in need of 4 new tires. My father was helping me purchase them so we were calling around to compare prices. Well that is like comparing apples to oranges, they are round. I have been told recently that Wal-mart's tires that bare the name Goodyear are just that a name not a product of. I spent almost $400 on the tires and all that goes with the purchase along with the road hazard. I only have 14,000 miles on my tires but they told me I had well over 34,000. I had to do the math for them and that stopped their line of defense. The location in Blue Springs has a waiting time of 3 hours to have your tires rotated and balanced. It does not matter the day of the week or the time of day that you arrive. The men that work on the cars, are also the ones who run the register most of the time and they must have very little training to do so.

The first time I took my car in I waited for about 2 hours when they called me and told me they could not rotate my tires because they did not have the key to my locking lug nuts. When I saw my van they had every compartment opened and had searched through them. This made me feel violated and I wasn't sure why I was not called before they searched through all my stuff. They had been given my key along with my van keys when I checked in. My total wait time that night was 3 hours and 20 min. When I picked up the van they said, "sorry but we broke the key to your lug nuts". Wow when did that happen? Were they lucky and got all 4 tires off and rotated and then back on before that happend?

Only after I asked who is paying for the key did they offer to buy me a new one. I of course had to go buy it and then bring in my receipt to prove I bought it. The second time I took the van in at 4:30 and again I was told the same amount of wait time about 3 hours. I was told that they have to do the oil changes first because they offer the drive through service. The more people they pull for oil changes the fewer there are for tires.

Finally at about 7:30 I checked on the van and they told me it would be at least another hour making it a total of 4 hours wait time. I hadn't been home from work and had 2 children at home who hadn't eaten or seen their mother. I told them I would have to call and see if I could get a ride to pick me up. I worked it out and told them I would wait. They told me I would have to go at the bottom of the list. I was furious. I went home and called for the store manager Dave K. He is never available and does not return phone calls. I went back the next night and talked with a manager and told her what happened. She worked me in but I still waited about 1 hour. She said it is no excuse but they can't hire and keep help in automotive.

Well then maybe Wal-mart should quit taking consumers money for a product and warranty they can't service. When I left my car seemed to be bouncing and the steering wheel was shaking and over the next couple of days it became worse. I returned to Wal-mart and once again waited to have the tires looked at. They said there was nothing wrong with the tires and I had an alignment problem. I left and went to another dealership and had my alignment checked. they told me the alignment was fine but I had a bad belt on the drivers front tire. Then within about 2 days my driver side rear tire was flat. I aired it up drove to wal-mart and asked for the manager. He looked at my tire said the belt was bad and they would replace it for $55 dollars and there was nothing wrong with the back tire that had been flat. He could take care of it in a couple hours they were short help.

I left and started to make phone calls. I was told after a week and many calls that they would give me back $175. I had to go down and pick it up and of course go over it all again wait for someone to try and figure out how to give me the money even though they had the message to return the money to me. I had to settle for $170 and when I went to purchase 2 tires at another dealer they said that the other 2 tires will need to be replaced before long. Why is Wal-mart being allowed to continue with this type of false advertising and lack of customer care. I feel that all my money should have been refunded. Get the word out that Wal-mart is not a savings to the consumer.

I promise never to do business with Walmart Tire Centers after my experience with the Midlothian VA location. I have a contract for tire rotation with Walmart and came in for our oil change & tire rotation. They refused to rotate the tires claiming uneven wear.. this vehicle just came from a shop that passed Virginia State inspection. I ask them if they noticed anything wrong with the tire and they said they did not. I believe Walmart Tire employees are just using this excuse to get out extra work. I will never buy from them again and I have 4 drivers in our family. I also plan to tell all of my friends.

Bought new tires with Walmart. When I purchased them I had them include rotation and balance free for the future of the tires. I was in accident and paralyzed but am mobile today thanks to good surgeons, but my neck is fused. This will tie in with the rest of my story. I was foolish enough to think that if there were any issues with my tires they would tell me when I come for oil change and rotation and balance every 3000 miles. Now, since I cant bend to look under the truck at my tires, I was told by someone that one of my front tires was getting smooth and these are still pretty new. Maybe back about 3 previous oil changes I even asked a service manager to take a tire depth gauge and check my tires. He reported to me that they were wearing evenly.

So, I asked the service manager, Do you offer alignment here and he said No. I replied, OK so it that why I have a bald tire now and nobody ever told me it was happening. All he said was I am sorry sir. I told him, Well you have the usual 2 hours plus to figure out what you can do about it. I feel the store owes me tires. I am depending on them to report to me about my tires since they rotate and balance them so often. Not to mention that everytime I go in to have service I spend at least 2 hours waiting and I realize thier plans. They do it intentionally so you will buy things in the store while you wait. I was even told that by a competitor that I went to and spoke with for my next tire purchase and oil service.

To end this, the service manager made sure he wasnt around when my vehicle was finished and ready. Now I am stuck with it. Unable to depend on the tires to take my family on the road. Sounds like good terms to get a lawyer maybe. Unsafe for family. 400 dollars for new tires. Vehicle driven once per week so tires are practically brand new.

I noticed a bump on the side of my tire on my 2004 Mazda3 on 4/4/08 when getting gas and took my car to Walmart where we had bought the tires 2 years earlier. I was told by the technician that the belt in the tire had broken and it needed to be replaced. He then felt both front tires and said they were worn irregularly, he thought I had broken my struts and they had rubbed against the tires. He said they were so bad both needed to be replaced. The tires had to be ordered and would cost about $200 each.

I was told that I would have to go elsewhere to have the struts repaired. I didn't have my credit card on me so they did the paperwork for the tires and I said I would come back later to pay for them so they could be ordered.

I then took my car to an independent mechanic who laughed when I told him what Walmart had said about the struts. He looked at my tires and said that yes, the one with the bulge does have a broken belt and needs to be replaced. But the struts were fine and all the front tires needed were to be rotated.

So on to tiebreaking opinion #3....

I go to another large store with an automotive dept. with a fairly good rep. They take the time to put my car up on lifts, look at the tires and the suspension and confirm what mechanic #2 had said - one tire needed. Bad news was they found that a wheel bearing also needs replaced - I had had a lot of vibration and loud noise for about a week and that explained it.

They were able to order a tire for $133 - Walmart would have ended up costing me over $400 for 2 tires, one of which I didn't need. (Bad news is that the wheel bearing has to be ordered thru the dealer for $177...... but this seems to be a legit repair). Mechanic #3 didn't seem surprised when I told him my Walmart story, apparently he had heard it before. Someone needs to put a stop to their ripoff routines.....

Two young male employee's have their girlfriends visiting, and talking to them while they are supposed to be on the timeclock, and working in their shop area.Distracting them from performing their jobs. It took them 3 hours to put on new tires. What company allows girlfriends or boyfriends to be at their job site distracting especially in an automotive area where precaution and safety standards should be not taken lightly.

On 3/3/08 and 3/7/08 I went to the walmart tire lube to have a simple slow leak repaired under the tire warranty that was purchased with the tires at walmart . The service tech said that they had a no service flag on their computer. I requested, politely, to speak with a manager to get a explanation as to why they refused to service my leaky tire. Well, I waited 45 minutes and the assistant manager stated that there was no further documentation as to why they were servicing my tire. I requested that the asst manager provide me with any documentation as to their refusal to service and he refused to do so. So I politely stated that I would return later in the week if I had time.

Then on the 7th, when I once again returned to try to get the tire serviced, I went directly to the customer service to ask for the store manager and spoke with a co manager RON and waited another 45 minutes and the co manager said he also could not find anything as to the exact reason for the do not service flag. I requested that he provide me with anything in writing to document their refusal of warranty service. He stated that he would contact me on my cell with any further information on my warranty, and said that if they would not service the tire, they may refund the amount paid for that. I flatly told him that I am not fishing for a refund and only wish to had a very simple tire service provided.

This whole thing is a bit weird and I am a bit creeped out that I can get no straight answers as to what the exact problem is. I am openly very Jewish and wear a kippa and peots and heard the tire dept service techs making off color comments on my kippa and peots. I always try to give all the benefit of the doubt as to anti-semetic conduct, but this situation is creeping me out a bit. I am a board member on the temple of my local synogog and own and operate 3 companies and do property management for over 100 rental units, so I provide quality customer service 24-7 to my clients. I am shocked at the way walmart is treating me.

Time and trouble getting the run around 2 times with no information forthcoming from walmart. And I personally felt very distressed as to the off hand anti-semetic comments I overheard when I tried to get service on 3/3/08 (very rude).

On 10-3-07 I purchased two brand new Goodyear tires from Walmart auto dept. I had them mounted and balanced at a total cost of $125.00. On 2-1-08 a nail punctured my right front new tire. I Immediately went to side of road changed tire to spare donut. I then proceeded to Walmart were I purchased the new tire. They told me I didn't purchase roadside hazard warranty. So I asked person in service just to find the hole and plug it and I will pay because I can't ride any farther on a donut. I waited for two hours when a service person came out and told me tire was not fixable because I had ridden on it. I told them the tire was a brand new goodyear so how could it not be fixable. I said the tire must be defective if it can't be fixed after one flat and I would like a new tire covered under warranty on receipt.

TheService manager said he didn't have to give me another tire because I rode on it. I explained to him I rode from right lane to shoulder when it blew out. He proceeded to say it was my fault. I asked to see the store manager and an assistant manager (Dave) came out. I stated my case to him and he proceeded to tell me and I quote, "tire is not made to withstand puncture." I'm sure goodyear would like to hear what walmart is saying about their tires to customers. Dave then stated alll warranties were void when tire was purchased. Dave then threatened to have me thrown out of the store. Then 30 minutes later another manager came out, Terri Schloendorn, and said they didn't have to replace tire and threatened me with calling the police to have me removed fom store because I said I wouldn't leave without my tire being fixed. I asked for their names and Terri and dave started laughing at me! Police came and made me leave the store. I had to drive another 120 miles to work and back on the spare donut which is very dangerous. Do I have any recourse against these individuals and store? Please help!

Goodyear tire recalled the Douglas xtra-trac tire. I have been there twice to get the tires replaced. The response I get is we just don't have any . I asked if there is similar tire to put on and they say no. How is it with a recall on a tire (Which is an important safety issue) can they not just put any other tire of the same size on or purchase more 14 inch tires from any other maker and bill Goodyear?

I really don't have any damage, but I do have to use my gas to see if they will replace. I realize I could call, but my wife went there last night and they said the would replace the front 2. They did not do anything but look at the tires to see if they were on recall.

I went in to Walmart to get four snow tires mounted. When I returned home I noticed that the bead on one of my BRAND NEW tires was stripped, and the center of the hub was cracked. The tire had less than three months on it and had never been off the wheel before. It was one of a set and cost $78. The hub can't be repaired and will cost $60 to replace. When I called I was told I needed to talk to the manager; but he was not there, and he would not return calls so I would have to try again. I was told the same thing the next day. The next day I asked to speak to the store manager and was told he was not available. I was told NO manager was on duty that day. They always have a manager on duty. I'm getting the royal run around and I'm afraid that they will keep putting me off until so much time has passed that they will say they are not responsible. Who can I contact?

The new tire and hub will cost me $138 plus tax to replace.

I blew my passenger side tire out on vacation 2 miles from Titusville on I-95. I put a donut on which was flat, a state patrolmen pulle dup and aired my tire then suggested I go to the Walmart just up the road to get a new tire. I pull into Walmart and walk up with my tire in hand and ask how long it will be they quote me about 30 mins. They spend an hour trying to match a tire to my 98 Audi A4, then I have to wait behind two cars that are having their tires changed that have been there for three hours already.

I came in at 10am. i look to see how the progress is coming and my tire is a the bottom of a pile of ten tires which erks me seeing as though my rims cost me $200 a piece. Then I notice out of the ten employees working that day one is doing oil changes on two cars at a time, one is working the other 6 bays including the tire changeing station, one is talking on the phone, 5 are running around the warehouse, the managers walk out to the bay area distract the two guys working and then come back inside to the AC.

It was 110 degrees outside and the guy doing tires kept passing out from heat exhaustion, he had to lay down for an hour to recouperate before returning to work on our cars, the whole time the entire staff rotates to lunch, by rotate I don't mean the work I mean they leave and go to lunch leaving the same person changing oil and the other poor guy changing tires, air filters, rotating tires, changing brakes. I arrived there at 10 am and left at 7pm when i asked if i could get an aliment the told me they could not to do it and I should go to the tire place down the street.

i should have choke dthe life out of him when he said that because i had spent the entire day sitting at Walmart when the tire place down the street had not had any business all day. And all they had to do was put a tire on my rim I did the hard work for them.

I lost a whole day out of my trip. I watched a guy almost kill himself trying to help us when the rest of his people sat in the A/C. They sent me to another tire place after it closed to finish the work.
