My entire family did the demo with Rainbow! My parents were impressed and signed up for a Demo and the program to schedule others and get yours for free. They advertised via Facebook and got several appointments and then we're told they had to be present at each demo. We have family and friends all over metroplex. We were never told we had to be present so of course they are not upholding their promise. I also bought a Rainbow & my daughter Karla had appointment with me on same day. Our appointments were set up by same rep that conducted my sister and my mom's appointment. They still as of today did not give my daughter her free room air mate room aroma therapy machine. Now they don't respond to out messages.

I purchased my Rainbow in which I intended to work the 12-2 program where you have 12 demos with 2 machine sales in which the company says they will payoff your machine. Well they got 4 machine sales from my demos but they have faltered with their side on payoff. Darn shame after working so hard! Has this happened to anyone else? Ready to seek legal action!

We've had our Rainbow for a month and a half and I'm grateful. It is bulky (we plan on getting the longer hose) and yes, it's expensive. But, it's 7 or so different machines in one, so that helps me feel better about that. Plus, I've never had a shampooer that I could actually get clean. There was always some junk left over in all my other ones. Not the Rainbow. I can clean all of it. Yes, it is a job to clean the machine itself, but a whole lot less work than my other shampooers have been.

And, I feel the clean in my carpets, furniture, blinds, etc. I've been looking through several comments here and the majority of the one star reviews are people who didn't clean their Rainbows and it got stinky, are complaining it's bulky (they couldn't see that before they bought it? Really? I could see what I was getting into). Or, they're complaining they were tricked into buying it. Um, that's on them.

I've had plenty of my friends tell me they don't want it. Own your choices, people. And as for replacement parts, we haven't had to do any of that yet, but we have close friends who have had a Rainbow for a few years who have several children who have broken several parts to it (like the water bowl, for example) and they've had each one replaced without any issues beyond the parts adding up in cost over time. But, we plan on taking good careful care of ours so that doesn't happen. Over all, the small inconveniences and price aside, I still find this product worthy.

I absolutely hate this vacuum. The concept is good and it cleans pretty well but it is so heavy and cumbersome I dread using it. It constantly gets caught on its cord (which is really long and should be a plus but when you are tangled up in it the length becomes worthless) and I have to pick up this heavy beast to be able to move. I have to do this every few feet. If the goal is a cardio workout rather than a clean home, this vacuum is for you. Oh, it costs about 10x what it should. Not the vacuum's fault but the guy who sold this to us assured me that with my purchase I'd receive all the attachments he demonstrated. Not so. The company would not stand behind what their agent told us. Each attachment is a very expensive additional purchase.

Rainbow discriminates against people over 65. Even though the spouse is under their bias opinions. I will NEVER buy another product from them since I don't count because of my age. I did their 2 hour demo for nothing. Got a janky rainmaker that makes so much noise I can't use it.

Overpriced and crappy performance. I fell for the "free gift" and got suckered into a vacuum demo. It all looked great in the demo. But once we bought it and actually used it, it was crap. Unfortunately, I didn't go with my gut and return it after trying it out a few days. The vacuum doesn't clean well, it's super inconvenient to use...hard to maneuver, heavy to take up and down stairs, and having to find a place to dump the water after use is a challenge and leaves a mess. I have to go back later and clean up (not a good idea to dump in sink or tub). Now I'm stuck in a 5 year payment plan for something I'm not using. I had to go back to my previous vacuum, a Filter Queen, which performs much better, and I've had it for years! The sales rep offered to take my FQ to dispose of it; fortunately, I chose to keep it.

I purchased a $4200 Rainbow Vac on June 11, 2020 at approximately 5 p.m. after spending several hours being "sold to" by the sales guy. Honestly, I really like my vac. It picks up very well. It is a bit hard to maneuver because the canister is large and bulky, but the cleaning aspect is what I am satisfied with. HOWEVER, Rainbow Vac Company has pathetic customer service. Why? Well, even though I never really received any paperwork that stated the warranty on this vac, I just expected that for the price, as I stated $4200, this vac would last a long, long time. And it has. Until recently when, as I was vacuuming with it, the hose handle snapped. Why? I don't really know. I am 70 yrs. old and don't have that much strength in my arms and hands, but I was quite surprised when all of a sudden, the little clip broke off and the handle began separating along the seam into two pieces.

I tried calling the retailer where I purchased. Phone was not answered or I got busy signal. So, I called the corporate office number shown on my receipt. I told them what happened. I was told my warranty was expired and that I would have to buy another handle out of pocket. Now here's the problem. I called on June 11, 2024 at about 11:00 a.m. So, technically my warranty didn't expire until June 11, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. I explained this to a woman who wasn't going to hear it. She told me I was out of luck. She wasn't even the slightest apologetic. I eventually got back in touch with the retailer who sold me the vac and was told that "since I had called corporate, there was nothing they could do for me". What does that mean? I told them that was not the last they would hear from me. Thus I am spreading the word all over the web about this matter. Totally unfair.

The vacuum looked amazing with all the dirty water it was making until I realized that the canister on my Centavac would look the same if there was water in it! The vacuum was very bulky and hard to manage especially on the stairs. The free gift was useless! It has run for days and only puts a minuscule amount of water into the room and is very noisy. Don’t waste your money!

I just purchased a Rainbow SRX. The demo moved a little fast for me, but I was OK with it because I was doing the demo to help support a friend. I signing to get one of the machines and then had buyer's remorse and wanted to return it. I didn’t realize there was $150 restocking fee. I would not have taken a device the first day but they claimed that it was a $500 discount so I guess for me ended up paying $150 for the free gift that’s not free if you return the unit. I like the product, but I don’t love the price. I’m an empty nester so it’s not really for me, but if I had pets, kids or a lot of carpet I might invest in it.

I bought a Rainbow. Really excited about it. My husband and I felt a little pressured. It was sold well as if it's easy but the qualifications of two home income, no apartment was too stressful and finding 12 at that. I am pregnant and immediately got stressed so I wanted to return. I also didn't like the I had to drag a humidifier behind the vacuum. I returned my vacuum and it was no big deal until they lost my vacuum they take for 800 dollars off which is 319.00 dollars I paid out of my pocket. They gave me another vacuum that they “cleaned and sanitized from another person that smells just like a dog.”

When I told them I'd rather just be credited for my vacuum I had they told me “I'm not trying to be rude but if you look at the receipt you will be given the vacuum of the same value or more.” I was originally told it was a promo vacuum which clearly was a lie. I am disgusted they would give me someone else’s vacuum from their home sanitized or not. I am very frustrated. I also had to wait a whole week with no vacuum. Then when we got it the bottom piece wasn't on so it did not work. Ghetto as hell.

Sharon, Port Coquitlam, BC. I have had my Rainbow for 7 years now. I can’t imagine my life without it. We have 5 furry pets and used to have to vacuum daily. Now we can go almost a week between vacuums because it’s actually picking everything up. Not to mention it makes my couch look brand new everytime it’s vacuumed because it’s getting all the fur off. It cleans 24 hours as an air purifier and my son is off a puffer because of this. It’s a lifesaver during fire season. We have unclogged drains and cleaned up flooded basements with the machine.

We did the ridealong program and got all our money back for the machine as did other people we know. I truly don’t understand the haters that can’t follow simple rules for a contest. I can’t imagine my life without the rainbow in it and will never turn another vacuum on in my house to blast gross out the back and pretend to clean. No thank you. It’s an investment that I would recommend any family make for their home so you can stop wasting money on tools that don’t work.

Dealing with United Consumer (which is the finance company) is a joke. 90% of the people I’ve talked to who have went through the program and bought the rainbow have all had issues with paying their payment even though it’s suppose to be automatically taken out. It never get taken out and when you call to try and pay it, there is an excuse every time. I was told at my demo before I bought the rainbow that I got 3 months without a payment and 12 months interest free. Come to find out, they are trying to add on $1,400 in interest because they only gave me 6 months interest free instead without my knowledge. Horrible company!!!!

My husband and I were in the market for an air purifier. We came across Rainbow by coincidence (not referred by anyone), and called our nearest office to set up a demo. The demo was great, we absolutely loved the machine but it's obviously pricey. We ended up going for it and bought it. I will add, immediately after the sales person left my house I went online to read reviews. I was really thrown with all the negative reviews, I started getting cold feet and questioning if we should return it. My husband said to me... You saw what it does. Do YOU like it? If you see the value, it doesn't matter what other people say.

We decided to keep it. I decided that I was invested now and I would at the very least try to complete the program. I went into it with the mindset that if I earned my money back it would be a great bonus but if not I would have to be ok with that too. I was worried that even if I brought them to 14 qualified households, who would spend this kind of money?

In the end, I did in fact complete the program. Very easily. I completed my first 7 demos in the first 45 days and then stretched the other 7 over the rest of the 6 months. EVERYONE LOVED IT. Everyone had fun. 6/14 from my program kept a Rainbow. There was no pressure to buy it. Some did the program themselves, others just loved it and didn't care to do the program, and some just did me a favour by allowing me to book a demo knowing they weren't in the market to make this kind of purchase. I earned my money back and to be honest, attending all of those demos gave me so much more knowledge on using the Rainbow and such a greater appreciation for it and to have it in my home (after seeing everyone dust filled homes LOL).

The whole time, I was SO worried about the program and my referrals being unfairly disqualified and also worried about completing the program and not getting paid based on reviews from website like these. This was not the case at all. My program was smooth and straightforward. I brought them to 14 qualified households. Everyone got a free rainmate for their time. I got 14 Rainbow credits (1 per demo) which I redeemed for the cookware and the water system. Once my program was complete, there was a 10 day "verification process." I was told that if any demos didn't qualify (was not the case, mine all qualified) I would be able to replace them. I think it's a fair ask. Once the 10 days were up, I was notified of an upcoming open house. I attended the open house and picked up my cheque.

Easiest $4k I've ever made. Visited a bunch of friends' and family's homes, had some coffee and snacks and watched someone else clean. The program is doable, just follow the rules and you won't have any issues. Hope this helps anyone who is hesitant/worried after reading these reviews because I sure was. You can do it! (FYI I'm located in Ontario, Canada. Completed my program December 2023)

It is now not working well again and they have had the vacuum over a month and we were told it had a clogged hose. We looked through the hose before we gave it to them. And not sure why you have a vacuum for a month if it just had a clogged hose. We want to warn others against buying a Rainbow. It may be great if you get a good one but ours has been constant trouble. A cheap vacuum from Walmart will pick up lots after the rainbow we have is finished.
