This is such the biggest scam so I paid for. It’s Just Lunch for about a year to two years 'cause they financed me. I did go on dates. All of the dates were foreign. No disrespect. Respectfully some of the women were nice but they were all **. They were such a language barrier. I kept on reaching out to. It’s just lunch and informing them that I would like some different ethnicity dates and they kept saying oh OK OK OK. Kept setting me up with ** or ** or **. Again with the language barrier and everything it was just not good dates so I called to cancel. They canceled it with me we completely. She said, "OK you don’t have to worry about paying anymore because you paid so much." Now it’s on my credit and now they’re trying to garnish my taxes. The biggest scam and rip off ever. Abmer has been the absolute best most professional consultant that I have had so far. I really appreciate her. I would recommend her to friends and family. She has provided what I thought IJL service would be.

I signed up with It’s Just Lunch in November 2025 for a 12-month membership costing $**, with a promise of 24 matches. My experience did not reflect what was presented. Communication was inconsistent, there were long gaps between matches, and I went on only one date in the first few months. The matches I received did not align well with my stated preferences.

Hello, I have talked to several different matchmakers at IJL... They've all been extremely caring... And they have always tried to make this experience the best that it could be for myself... this is I hope that this is the next chapter of my life... And I can't wait!!! Thank you everyone. 😁

I am not overly thrilled with IJL. Two of the three dates recommended were not of interest to me. I received an email addressed to the wrong person. I have not heard from IJL since March 1st. I am not sure if I believe this a value that will benefit me. How can I speak to someone regarding a partial refund. I do not think IJL can find a match for me.

IJL was after me for at least 10 years by phone and email. I steadfastly refused its offers until 2025 when I got tired of no results from Match.com. IJL promised two dates monthly for a down payment of approximately $2000 plus $280 monthly. The dates did not happen, so after four or five months I cancelled IJL. I would never recommend IJL to anyone, and I wish I had searched it on Google before committing; I would have seen IJL being in litigation, and I would not have engaged its services. But IJL has Amber who is full of integrity. She said I was owed eight or nine dates, and she is trying to accommodate me and to arrange those dates. I have the utmost respect for her, but I would never have engaged IJL had I searched it first on Google and seen its litigation or if Match had produced dates. Thank you Amber.

I’ve had a positive experience with It’s Just Lunch. The team is professional, communicative, and takes the time to understand what you’re looking for. It’s a great alternative to dating apps if you’re tired of endless swiping and prefer a more personal, curated approach to meeting people. The process feels organized and thoughtful, which I really appreciate.

It hard to rate my experience with It’s Just Lunch. I am very disappointed with the lack of transparency regarding the cost and structure of the program. I guess should have known it's a sell pitch! First, the full cost of the program was not clearly explained. I paid over $** to join, expecting a personalized matchmaking service that would continue until a successful match was made. However, I later learned that the membership actually ends after a certain number of dates or after six months, whichever comes first. This was not clearly communicated when I enrolled and feels very misleading.

Very disappointing after paying close to $13k!!! They initially robbed me of $10k and after complaining about the VERY poor quality of men they matched me with, they lead me to believe that I should be in some "Elite" group, and I fell for it since I was new to Dallas and had a very demanding career. They said it will cost me another $3k and I fell for it only to continue to be matched with men that were nowhere near my expectations. The entire experience was absolutely terrible!!!! Never again!

So incredibly disappointing and unprofessional! Complete waste of money. I finally decided to invest money after my husband passed thinking paying so much money would set me up for success. They literally told me that no man would want me because of my age. So incredibly unprofessional and rude. Please spread the word,

Oh my GOODNESS! I could not be happier with Amy M! She has been so attentive. She listened to my needs and told me what she needed from me. Not only is she a good listener, she had great input on looking at things a little differently than I may have. Amy really performed in finding me what I have been unsuccessfully searching for for so very long. I am so grateful for her listening ear and advice; AND her "can do" spirit in the search for my person. I can now rest a bit easier. She did the leg work and found the needle in the haystack! The date went very well. Both parties were kind and considerate to one another. I think we both enjoyed meeting each other. We both want to do things with another person and not be alone. We both have common interests in doing things together. I feel we both enjoyed each other's company.

Amber is very customer focused and listens to their comments. For example, parking garages in Center City where one of the Its Just Lunch restaurants is located refuses to take my vehicle for parking. Hence, I explained this to Amber and she is going to ensure that my new lunch dates avoid this high-traffic, parking constrained geographic area. Thank you Amber!!!

After previous less than great experiences I am really happy to be working with Marina at the Luxe level. She really listens and so far I am so glad I trusted the process and signed up with IJL Luxe. Marina’s approach is organized and her attention to the little things is really making this process work for me. I truly believe she cares. I’m excited to see where this goes.

DO NOT USE IT’S JUST LUNCH!! This dating service is not who they try to say they are! It is such a scam. I was very specific and clear about the type of person I was looking for and the location I could date. It HAS BEEN AWFUL. I have never once been matched with someone who met the profile I had requested or in the location that I could date. I asked repeatedly for a refund and all they do is move me from one different matchmaker to another. Tabitha H. Sign me up and she knew exactly what I was looking for and promised me there would be “many” men for me to pick from.… but there have been none that met my criteria. Also, in between matches can be as long as a month or longer. So when I have declined a match, sometimes it takes a month or longer to be matched again…just to have the same issue repeat itself over and over. If you are trying to decide to use the service or not… listen to me and do Not sign up. Scam!

My matchmaker was empathetic at first about my cornerns of the price and having funds leftover for dates. Later at the end, she proposed I pay for the dates completely to get more second dates, and I had already paid 4 figures twice for a year. I never got more criticism from their dating coach than editing my dating app profiles, which wasn't much either. Nearly all but one date never became a second date. So paying for an expensive service doesn't mean you won't get a bunch of delusional princess fairytale mentality women with unrealistic expectations about finding love. And since not a single staff member I communicated with was a woman, I think this service is biased against men. You would probably be better off spending that same money on the dating apps of your choice than this service.

Eyrina is positive and is kind when ever speaking to her by phone and email. However, I do not feel the connection with her with helping finding a soulmate for myself. It seems. Eyrina does not always have her act together. On more than one occasion, I’ve left emails, voicemails, and or texts and I do not get a response. And yes, I have given more than ample time to allow. Eyrina to respond. Another words I’ve given or greater than 48 hours. At the beginning I found out I needed surgery.

After having no results using Match.com, I was eager to try out IJL. Plus, I was flush with cash after working in Afghanistan for six months. I completed the 15-20 minute phone interview with my matchmaker. I may have also emailed a recent photograph of myself to my matchmaker. Within a couple of weeks of my initial phone call, I had a couple of dates already scheduled. What I did not know at the time was that Washington, D.C. is a strange place for dating. Everything is about money, power, and influence. I went on some rather crazy dates with IJL.

Working with Jaiye at It’s Just Lunch has been a very positive experience so far. Although I have only had a short experience with the company and there is still more for me to review over time, Jaiye has already stood out in the process. He takes the time to listen to my preferences, understands what I’m looking for, and communicates in a warm, thoughtful, and professional manner. His approach feels intentional, and I appreciate that he checks in, provides updates, and makes me feel supported throughout the matchmaking process.

Got charged for the 12 dates package but only ever got scheduled for 1. These people could care less about you after you pay the big fee upfront. And when I confront them about it, they claim to have tried to contact me, but I have no record of them trying to contact me and I left them multiple voicemails, but no one would ever respond.

Hazel is a matchmaking magic! Her special blend of intuition and thoughtful approach makes her a true gem. She has a talent for finding the perfect matches who are both compatible and happy. My experience has been amazing and flawless. I’m so happy and grateful!

So far pretty good, ready to pick up the pace. Looking to finding someone close to where I live. Hope to find someone who acts younger than they are and is ready for any adventures. Time to find the right person and get to know them. I am open to anything and ready for anything.

Don't do this! If you want personalized matchmaking, find a different service. This is not personalized - it's a database of people willing to pay the high fees and then every 4 weeks, they'll send you someone also due for a date. They claim to be very selective, but as long as you can pay the initial fee, you're in. Every profile will sound like prince charming, yet profiles are what many aspire to be, not who they actually are and what they actually like to do. I questioned on more than 1 occasion if this was a reality TV show to see how far a guy can push a woman with outrageous comments before they reveal the cameras.

I joined IJL April of 2025. I started out talking to Heather one of the matchmakers. Heather was really good at talking and getting me all pumped up about these quality dates I was going to have. As a matter of fact she was so good that she had me signing a contract and took my $2800 before I could even think what I was getting myself into. Heather said I would get 8 dates in 8 months. I've had four dates and none of the men were of the qualities that I stressed I was looking for in my interview. They don't know any more about matchmaking than I do. The communication is terrible. No one calls you back because they don't even have dates to send you on.

Actual date and the planning regarding the date was convenient and easy. IJL did all the reservations and communication. I just had to show up. However, I am frustrated and disappointed at the slow speed of organizing the dates and matches. It took 2 1/2 months to get my first date. And communication with matchmaker feels limited and equally slow.

I have been super satisfied with my IJL membership in 2025. Amber has been very communicative and available to discuss potential matches and my dating preferences. I have been very happy with my matches so far. The IJL team ensures they effectively plan the first date and follow up to see how the date went and the overall experience.

I was so disappointed with this dating service at the cost of $**. I only had 1 date from 6/2024 to 1/2025.. Two dates were cancelled the day of meet up. Poor communication with representative. I feel that they did not have enough people in their network for dating. A word of advice. Put your money somewhere else and try out a different dating service. I had to put 1 star because the rating didn’t offer zero.

I am very disappointed with the services of this company. I was told my membership would be placed on hold, only to learn six months later that it had been cancelled without my knowledge. This company does not stand behind its practices (even if it is in writing), and I would advise extreme caution when deciding whether to use IJL. I believe they are deceitful and take advantage of people in vulnerable situations. If I could give them less than one star, I would....

I joined IJL about 6 weeks ago. My matchmaker is Marina. I have enjoyed working with Marina so far. She has a good grasp on what I'm looking for in a match. She chose a good match for my first date. We had a lot in common and were a good personality match. She was also very helpful in easing my anxiety related to going on a first date. She also gave me good advice on how to frame my mindset around this matchmaking process. She is always available if I have questions. I feel like she is genuinely interested in getting to know me so that she can find the best possible match for me, my person.

Constantly match me up with matches that don't fit the guidelines of what I was interested in when I signed up. All this "mismatches" count toward the number of matches they guarantee. Before you sign up ask them how many daters are in their system. Basically it's almost none but they won't tell you they have don't have enough clients and diversity for it to work well.
