We were planning to go to Jamaica the Week of March 21. A few days before our trip we decided it needed to be changed to a later date. I also was on the phone for a wait time of 7 hours when I accidentally hung up. I had anothet 2 hour wait. I set my alarm for 5 am. Waited 40 minutes. I spoke to a representative. I got the same trip and flight for end of July with a 250 credit. We did receive an email later that day saying trips were going to be cancelled. In my opinion the wait time was to be expected during an unprecedented time. My experience at this point was above what I expected. Including long wait time which was awful.

Cheap Caribbean is being completely unethical. When I called asking how to handle a trip to Puerto Rico we had booked for this week, they asked if I wanted to cancel due to Covid I asked if it was safe to do that and asked if we would be refunded. The lady put me on hold and said our airline and hotel were offering no cancellation fees in light of the pandemic. I said, great, when will I get a credit on my card. She said she noticed I had travel insurance and I should file a claim with them. I asked why I needed to do that when Cheap Caribbean was being credited and she couldn’t explain that but assured me that the insurance company would handle this appropriately because of the Covid outbreak.

She proceeded a cancellation for me, but when I contacted the trip insurance company, they informed me that Covid falls under canceling for “any reason” and there is a steep penalty of 25%, so using the travel insurance would cost us $1,500, while Cheap Caribbean keeps our $5,500 because hotels are closed and issuing refunds and airlines are waiving cancellation fees and issuing credits.

When I messaged Cheap Caribbean and call them out on this they simply say they understand my frustration but they have a “no refunds policy“. Sure in a normal time, I get that because if someone cancels they don’t get their money back. But they are getting refunds from hotels and encouraging people to cancel so they can keep the money they’ve charged us in full for our trips.

Meanwhile both of my hotels are totally closed in Puerto Rico and we are being told by CDC to shelter in place.. So there isn’t even a place to stay Puerto Rico even if we broke quarantining. I think they were intentionally guiding people with trip insurance to cancel because they knew they would get to keep the money and the insurance companies would have to deal with their customers, but also knowing that for standard insurance policies we are subject to losing thousands. INSANE. If this isn’t illegal (because they refer you to their “no refunds” policy), it’s incorrigible and taking advantage of people during a worldwide pandemic.

Called several times waiting as long as 10 hours to get through due to coronavirus. Dropped calls and agents not all agents making return calls back. Received credit for future travel but could not use Cheap Caribbean online booking. Had to be with agent. With agent they would not give same flights or deals as was visible on their website saying in this case this was due to restrictions from Delta. The online could be used for customers wanting to booking without agent help or customers with credits prior to the coronavirus, in my mind a customer is a customer and a credit is a credit. As they had 1 fight I asked if they could call delta to request the same flight we had prior to cancellation, as I could see availability online, agent said they would try but no guarantees.

Agent called delta and was given approval to honor the flight. Things were great until the agent came back on phone after making the changes to inform me that his supervisor would not approval the the change that delta approved. Now we are stuck with changing airports in LGA to JFK additional cost to a party of 4 and very limited knowledge on how to accomplish this. Bottom line placing the blame on delta doesn't seem to be accurate since delta approved the fights. Spending over $7,000 should get you better service than was received.

I wish I could rate this company as a zero star. It is the most unethical and greedy company I have ever encountered. I booked a trip for the end of April. Due to the pandemic, the resort won’t be open at the time of the trip. The airline also canceled our flight. Even though I have contacted the hotel and the airline directly who both stated that they will provide a full refund because it was an involuntary cancellation, Cheap Caribbean refused to provide me the refund they received from the airline and resort. They are only offering future credit which seems beyond unethical since they got a refund from the resort and airline. I would strongly discourage anyone from booking with through this site.

As the name suggest they are "Cheap"! Even at the time of a pandemic, when the whole world is closing down, returning money and flights are re-booking without any change fee, Cheap Carribean does not want to give us the money back. They only option we are given is future credit, which I have serious doubt they will honor. Even after buying an insurance we are supposed to get only 75% of the money back only after a tiring process. They are imposters!

I Booked a trip back in Feb. 2020 for my family and myself (4) to Punta Cana leaving May 10, 2020 and received an email 3/7/20 that is was canceled. Now they don't want to reimburse my money. I called for days to only get a recording that it would be up to 213 min wait. After I finally got a call back the person who called I could not hear or understand but would do nothing for me. Asked how I could get my money back and since I bought the ENHANCED INSURANCE I could get 75% of my money back minus the insurance cost ($2000 total loss).

I had friends in the same situation but used a reputable agency that gave them either 125% credit or full refund minus insurance plus 2 years to use the credit. CheapCaribbean will only give you 1 year plus any changes cost, which there isn't any because airlines and hotels waived them all due to the coronavirus. The person on the phone was very rude, and did not care because they already have my money. Now I'm going to file a complaint with the BBB office and Call the PA Attorney General's office along with calling my CC company to file a complaint to see if they can help get my money back. Do Not use them, they are the scum of the earth and will take your money and run.

My boyfriend and I scheduled a four day/five night vacation to Puerta Plata, Dominican Republic in the third week of February through Cheapcaribbean.com. Our flight was booked by Cheapcaribbean.com using United Airlines to leave on Friday, March 27, 2020 returning on Tuesday March 31, 2020. In early March as the growth of the Coronavirus continued I placed a call to our travel company asking them what were our outcomes for this trip if there were going to be travel restrictions to which the representative said "Don't worry, the Coronavirus is not in the Caribbean."

On Wednesday March 18, 2020, I received an email from Cheapcarribbean.com stating that our trip was cancelled due to the Dominican Republic prohibiting entry from inbound travelers as a result of the Coronavirus. After many attempts to call, we were told that Cheap Caribbean has no liability to return our money despite the fact that it is physically impossible for us to go on this trip. We instead were given less than one year to book another trip. Due to work restrictions we will not be able to meet the travel deadline therefore they are forcing us to lose our money completely. This is an extremely unfair business practice given the circumstances surrounding this global pandemic. As this crisis continues without a known end, we shouldn't be held to terms and conditions that didn’t include the prohibition of travel.

I finally hung up.. We are going to Cancun Mexico in May. Our hotel,, Riu Palace las Americas is closing due to the Coronavirus and our flight will not be going or coming back due to border closure.

We want to cancel and want our money back,,, their website said we can have a "credit" for future trips up to 2 years... Basically they want to sit on $2800 of our money, with no refund... I'm furious, they may not even be in business in 2 years, heck I may not be alive either.... This is totally out of our control.... Still waited over an hour. They told me they could not refund us even though I told them I was high risk and we purchased insurance. They could only give us travel credit until Sept 29th. Expedia has fully refunded people, even those with non refundable tickets. I find it appalling that a company is not following by the nationwide guidelines of protecting the people from this virus. Let’s hope the travel insurance through Nationwide will fully refund us. I mean they do say Nationwide is on your side. We know CheapCaribbean wasn’t.

But all they said, "Least pay remaining of balance and call 72 hours before to reschedule trip." But I cant due that because I was going on trip for a wedding that was also canceled cause of the virus, the lovely couple decided to make a wedding with just them two because of no social gathering request from the government. We have a trip planned to start on 3/21/20. I am traveling with my mother who is in her 70-ties with asthma and heart problems. I've been calling for the last 3 days, just to be kept on hold. By now I have their system down to science. You call and get a wait time quote, 300 and some minutes. You wait and time keeps decreasing and you feel you are getting somewhere. Once you wait is down to 120 minutes, the wait time jumps back to the original quote. Over the weekend, if you patiently waited, the line disconnected at 5 hours. I thought, okay, maybe because it’s the weekend.

I started again today. Same thing, the only difference was that now, twice, in the morning and in the afternoon the line disconnected at exactly 4 hours. I also emailed them but to no avail. I contacted United Airlines in hopes to at least salvage the airplane tickets. But Cheap Caribbean buys tickets in bulk, so airlines are not able to help individual clients. I emailed a complaint to the CDC and encourage you to do the same. In face of the global pandemic, their actions are reckless. Think twice.

When we arrived on February 15, 2020 at 6:15pm at the hotel lobby and we noted the place looked amazing. The process to check-in was beyond an hour.... Well we should have known that this was a precursor for the disappointment yet to come. When we finally got to our rooms around 8:22pm {on the first floor beach front} with the bellboy, we noted that water was gushing out of the wall. A women standing in the hall told the bellboy she has been calling the front desk for over a half hour and telling them about her issue. Her room along with the hallway was flooded. Unfortunately, our rooms (went with friends) were next to hers and they were flooded as well.

When we went back to the desk. They would not accommodate us and told us to take the room and they would look into. We told them this was not an option, that they needed to give us other rooms, as this was terrible. They made us wait in the lobby for almost two hours of arguing back and forth, They were the most unresponsive team of workers we have ever encountered as this was our third year back in Mexico and the other places previously were amazing, as we love to try different places. (FYI we are 60 years old) Thank god that one of our friends speaks Spanish as we would have been taken advantage of as he understood what they were saying. They kept playing avoidance with us for hours as they wanted us to break and take the flooded rooms.

They gave us two new rooms hours later, and these rooms were only partially cleaned and on the third floor, not beach front first floor, for what we paid for. Note, Chips on couch, pudding on wall and TV screen, you get the picture. The next day we had to check out of these rooms by 12 o'clock and when we got to the front desk they were understaffed with many new arrivals trying to check in.

Jennifer, did take care of us and knew who we were after we waited 48 minutes in line again. They told us to come back at three pm and they would have new rooms for us, not beach front for which we paid for but still decent rooms. Well all our belongings were in our suitcases and they were now in holding with the bellboy. When we got back to get our rooms again (once again they know who we are) we had to wait in line again for 43 minutes, don't you think we should have been given special treatment. Now we have lost day and a half. We asked to have some type of compensation, we were given the run around and the staff played avoidance with us over and over and over, throughout our whole stay.

The day before we were scheduled to leave February 20, 2020 the hotel manager, Lorena **, came and sat with us as we wanted someone to acknowledge what has happened to what we thought was going to be an enjoyable vacation, to see if there is something they could do. She suggested a free meal. (meals are included, fully inclusive). She then offered another trip to the resort, we would pay full price but be treated as kings and queens. OMG.

I think you get the idea as after that second day, this just continued to get worse. We were so happy to leave the resort February 21, 2020, this was one of the most gratifying time of our vacation. MY SUGGESTION IS TO FIND A PLACE THAT CARES ABOUT THEIR VACATIONERS AND SMILES WHEN YOU SAY HOLA. Be smart. Do not go to Barcelo Maya Beach Mexico. Oh one more fact to this is the Manager as mentioned above said she contacted Cheap Caribbean and they said they would not respond or acknowledge our claim. Thanks for reading or lack of a better term Listening.

I’m sure there were a lot of people that were concerned about what was happening in DR, and might have canceled their trips as well (can anyone really blame them?). The stress of fighting with this company over something that was a reasonable cancellation hasn’t been worth the money we would have saved on this trip. At the end of the day I was responsible for purchasing new tickets at full price even after I paid for insurance and a grand total of $2000 for my trip. I never made it to my trip or the wedding for that matter and they refused to refund or give me a future travel voucher. It was $2000 down the drain and every time I call to try to get a refund or future travel voucher they tell me there’s nothing they can do even after I paid over $300 for insurance. I have been booking vacations through CheapCaribbean for about 16 years. While it has changed since Jim Hobbs sold it I still find it the best price for all inclusive resorts most of the time. If you go solely by the advertisement by CC or the resort itself you may get less than expected for not doing your homework. Use Trip Advisor and you can see lots of reviews as well as pictures. And I don't know what you expect from a wholesaler which is what CC is in reality. Those who said they didn't get their documents. They changed from their old way because so many people complained about the extensive printouts. If you want all the documentation, which is the smart thing, just call customer service and ask for them. You don't really need them but I'm old and like having paperwork.

I always laugh when travelers gripe about things like resorts in Riviera Maya being such a long ride to get to! Do these people even bother to look beyond the price? You usually get what you pay for with a few exceptions. But if you are looking to blame someone for a poor vacation, when you get back and look for comments from travelers you missed, ignored, or never bothered to do your research.

We book a all inclusive vacation to Freeport Bamahas. Couple of days before departure Hurricane Dorian was announced. We called multiple times to make sure the trip was still planned due to the hurricane coming thru Freeport. We have been told that no flights were cancelled and that the trip was still maintained. Same day of the trip we called again and they still confirmed the trip. Following Cheap Caribbean's advice we took our flight. We got in Freeport at 10pm, took a cab to the hotel. When we got there we found the hotel close and the security told us that the hotel was evacuated earlier in the morning. We didn't want to spend the night out in the dark so we tried 5 hotels (all full) before finding one.

The next morning we got to Freeport airport and got booked (after 5 hours waiting in the airport and been asked to pay for the return) on a return flight to the US. At this point Cheap Caribbean is only refunding us for the hotel (we didn't get to enjoy) and a 1 way taxi. They refuse to refund the flight they made us take. Cheap Caribbean has asked us to board a flight knowing their partnered hotel was closed and has engaged us into a life threatening situation. Our claim for the refund has now been ongoing for a month: No answers to email, brief calls with phone operator, no manager on the line.

The restroom in our hotel room didn't work properly. All inclusive. Didn't even have Heineken. They had one beer Red Stripe, and it was through a dirty tap that tastes disgusting. Well liquor and the food was absolutely disgusted at all the restaurants and the buffet. The country itself is poor poverty-stricken and bums everywhere. We did two day excursions and we're totally ripped off. Totally overpriced. I would never recommend this place and I would never go back to Jamaica.

Couldn’t rest because of the noises. Really upset. We had to leave at nights to eat. There was a flood in our bathroom. The air was not working in our room. The elevator was flooded. Upon arriving to the hotel we found that we were not given the room we paid to upgrade to. Had to wait forever for the hotel staff to finally give us the room I paid for and they acted like they did us a favor. No electric one night at the hotel, food was awful, 3 foot of seaweed on the beach. I emailed Cheap Caribbean and they have done nothing about any of the challenges we faced while there. We were supposed to get a 4 star resort, Reflect Krystal Grand was anything but adult pool had black mold in grout of tile. Also there was a smell between children’s pool and snack bar. Having a septic tank at home I knew what it was. Found out septic was dug up next to snack bar. Also several days later water was coming from a door in ground next to snack bar walk by it and door was open and there was open sewage flowing out and all they were doing was pushing it into the pool overflow drain.

The smell was there our whole stay. Also took 2 1/2 hours to check in. Room was dirty and sheets also dirty tv didn’t work. Took 2 days of arguing with them to find us another room with working tv. Do not use CheapCaribbean and never go to Reflect Krystal Grand. My husband and I called CheapCaribbean (CC for the rest of this review) to book a trip to the Bahamas in June. We have used CC in the past and we wanted to stay at the same place we did the last two times. The Breezes Bahamas. We did not even think to look at their website since we had been there before. We told the booking agent what we wanted, including the fact that we were looking for a place for adults to relax. She found the hotel and booked our trip. Easy, we are all set! Not so fast...

We get to the Breezes Bahamas at noon, no problem. Our room is not ready yet, so we say "No problem" we can wait at the beach. During this conversation, the counter agent asked us if were told that there were going to be a lot of kids there. WHAT?!? NO, we were not told, nor do we want anything to do with a lot of kids running around. "What is going on," we asked. He points to a large banner out front. It is "Grad Week" and the resort is full of 16-18 year olds!! As we were discussing it with the counter agent, a bus full of 100+ teenagers pull up and they start piling out. THIS WILL NOT WORK!! The only kids we want to see have four legs and are waiting for scraps under our breakfast table! This is not the mature adult relaxing atmosphere we were looking forward to. More like Spring Break on steroids!

We proceed to call CC and wait and wait and wait for someone to pick up the hold line. I explain the situation and the agent on the line tells me that they were not aware of any "Grad Week" so it is not their fault and we will need to deal with it. How could they not know about it I argue? She puts me on hold then comes back and says she pulled up their website and that there is nothing on the site about it. She repeats that there is nothing they can do, and we will just need to deal with it. Did I mention that I had to move four times in order to find a quiet place where I could hear the agent?

While I am on hold, my husband has found the resort manager. I tell her what CC said and she verified what I knew in the first place. They tell all their partners when their events are over a year in advance and it is posted on their website. I pull up their website on my phone and there it is – Grad Week is held May -June 2019. We would have seen this if we looked at the site, but instead we depended on our travel company to make us aware of these types of events. The manager was very understanding and told us if we did not check in, she would release our room and we would not be obligated to pay. That’s great but now what?

I call CC back and am on hold for eternity until someone answers. I tell them who I am and had to repeat the entire situation. They put me on hold again, so I wait on hold, wasting international phone minutes and a beautiful afternoon in the Bahamas. After three more hold times, I am finally told they will try to find us another place to stay and do I know what places are around there. Isn’t that their job?? Luckily, I am familiar with the area and told them two resorts that I knew of close by. After three hours of waiting to hear back, they call to tell me that they can get us into the resort next door for the same price we paid, but it is not all inclusive. This won’t work because we were not expecting to pay for all our meals and drinks and do not wish to do so now. I tell her we will wait to hear from the all-inclusive one.

Another hour goes by and we finally get the call saying we have a room at that Melia but that we will have to pay $180. I argue with the agent until finally they agree to cover the cost. It is 7pm by the time we take a cab to the Melia. Our first day is wasted because of a simple detail that CC knew about and tried to act like they didn’t. I do have to say that the Melia is AWESOME and we will be staying there the next time we travel to the Bahamas. Much more sophisticated with free paddle boards which we thoroughly enjoyed. AND no drunk teenagers puking in the pool or smoking inside the building. Finally, vacation can begin. So, the review has a happy ending, right? Not so fast...

On the 4:30PM return flight home, I find out that we could catch an earlier flight in our connecting city. We got off the plane and head to the gate where the earlier flight would be leaving. No problem the counter agent said. There would be a $25 per person change fee. $25 beats waiting in Charlotte for almost four hours. I give her my credit card and there is a problem. The system is not allowing her to change the flight. Why? Because it was booked through CC. The only way we can make a change it to go through CC. Oh boy.

I make the call and I wait. And wait. And wait. We have an hour before the flight leaves, I should be able to get to someone, right? This is something else I would investigate before booking with them. I have never seen or dealt with this before and did not know there was even a restriction. I have my husband call on his phone and choose new reservation thinking that maybe he can get through sooner than I can on the customer service line. He waits. The clock is ticking, and the flight is boarding. I pled with the agents to let us change the flight but even though there are 16 empty seats on the flight, there is nothing they can do since we booked through CC.

After 20 minutes, my husband gets through to someone and I take the phone. Unfortunately, they are unable to do anything since it is the wrong department. I stress the urgency of the call hoping to get transfer immediately and he tells me that there are three people in line before me and “Good Luck”. With the doors closing, we give up, knowing we are sticking around the airport a few more hours because our booking company would not answer the phone. Thanks, CheapCaribbean. Disappointing start, disappointing finish.

Upon calling to sort things out, met only headache and heartache because, while they were able to get us a room for our vacation, we lost the upgrade we were looking forward to. And, despite being reassured we would be refunded the difference for that upgrade, had to have the bank dispute the charges once we got home to see that refund and they also offered no other resolution or restitution for the trouble they caused us.

On their site they say book with confidence - they have a price match guarantee. If you book through them and find a cheaper rate elsewhere within the first 24 hours, not only will they beat your price, but they'll give you a $150 credit good toward a future booking. DISCLAIMER: If you plan to book through them thinking you'll get a price reduction and a future credit, please MAKE SURE you compare the name Cheapcaribbean.com calls the room, and the name the actual hotel calls the room. This happened to me. I booked a trip yesterday through Cheapcaribbean.com for 7 nights at the TRS Coral All Inclusive Adults-only resort in Cancun. On the TRS website, they call the room we booked a Junior Suite Swim Up room.

NOWHERE on their site is any mention of a "Royal" Junior Suite Swim Up room. That's because there isn't one. Cheapcaribbean.com calls it that, though, so that they can say you are comparing apples to oranges when you try to file a price match claim. Expedia.com actually offered the same trip we booked for less, but they called the room (what it should be called according to TRS Coral's own website) - the Junior Suite Swim Up room. Because it did not match EXACTLY the name that Cheapcaribbean.com MADE UP - the Royal Junior Suite Swim Up - they denied my claim and will not honor their claim to beat the better price I found and offer the $150 credit. I am extremely disappointed and I am waiting to hear how my BBB complaint is resolved. If it's not satisfactory, I will never book through Cheapcaribbean.com again.

    Reviewed May 8, 2019

Good afternoon, as I am writing this review I am currently on Delta Flight 790 on my way back home to New York City from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. My wife and I booked our trip from May 2nd - May 7th with high hopes for this resort called Be Live Collection. I paid $2,385.76 As per Cheap Caribbean this resort was a 4.5 star hotel which in reality is a 2.5 hotel and I am very disappointed with this resort as well as my stay. As soon as you come in a lot of salespeople come up and try to sell you everything and won’t take no for an answer. I got this my whole trip. "Why me?" is what I asked this whole trip.

On May 2nd we arrived at Be Live Collection, our room was ready but once we got introduced to our Rep Jose he stated that we are not allowed to eat at one of the La Carte restaurants until the next day because all of their restaurants which were only 6 on the adult only side, Lobster House, Japanese/Hibachi, Steakhouse, Brazilian, Mexican, and Italian all require a reservation from 7 am - 2 pm and the reservation has to be made the following day and the system only allows the staff to book reservations the day of. So we had to settle for the market buffet which the food was cold, and all of the waiters literally hound around you waiting for a tip, which was awkward.

After we got introduced to our butler, Fednon ** who was absolutely the greatest. It is sad he has to be a part of that establishment, he is very upscale and very professional, and has a great personality and smile. He showed us our room, added us on WhatsApp and never left our side from reservations to activities and as far as late checkout.

The package was VIP adult only Master Sea View room and our room was 1159, ground floor. The room vent was leaking and the air quality was not so good, our room phone didn’t work and our toilet stopped up on the last day. The jacuzzi outside was dirty and the hot tub inside was dirty as well. There is no peak-hole so opening the door when someone knock is a risk within itself. Housekeeping enters the room throughout the day without knocking, now imagine being in a intimate moment, will be very awkward. They also don’t restock towels often or might forget to add towels.

Once entered the room outside is where we met our waiter for the snack bar Yeison another delightful young guy who cater to us from day one until the day we left. He’s another worker I feel sorry for working at that establishment. Everything is Pre-cooked at that resort and is never freshly served. The snack bar has a menu which consist of steak, fish, hotdogs, fries, which are the main foods to choose from. The bar has basic liquor and the staff is very nice and like to party. We were on the adult only but their adult only consisted of relaxation and older men and women more of a retirement type of vacation, and although it was VIP the other side of the resort was able to come over as well. There was exterminators there because of the pest problems they had. Stray cats as well for the mice I guess. The shows were amazing and the instructor for the activities Candy is very motivated and loves her job.

The next day we was introduced to Richard who booked our excursions, we had booked fun park which was $250 for two people and it included zip line, buggies, safari, and horseback riding. What Richard didn’t tell us was that with that specific company it is 1 hour away from the resort and the activities consist of a lot of walking from one excursion to the next. We also booked scape park which we got the VIP package which included snorkeling, natural pool, cave, and lobster lunch on the beach which cost $250.00, we love lobster and that was the only package that had it, once we got there we discovered it was no lobster at all from March-June. The last excursion was to see the dolphins perform which was a $100.00 and once we got there they told us that the pictures was $150.00, which is more than the excursion which was insane for a picture of kissing dolphins.

Within the excursion day I had told my butler that I will not be back in time to make reservations can he make them? He told me yes and confirmed a reservation for two at Japanese/Hibachi restaurant at 8 pm. I thought it was going to be a blast. Boy was I wrong. We arrived and as soon as we arrived it began racism. My wife and I were standing outside the restaurant and no one never came to greet us. After 10 minutes we decided to go inside and greet them. At the entrance door inside John ** tried to find other things to do instead of greeting us.

After another 10 minutes of waiting he finally came to us pointed in the direction of outside and we had to go back outside. Then a ** lady came and asked for a plastic cup for her drink and he rushed over to her and accommodated her by going back inside, grabbed a plastic cup for her. And once he came back outside turned around and asked room number and looked on his paper and said, "No I am sorry. I don’t see you." He rechecked twice and said we weren’t there. I explained Fednon spoke to the hostess and the hostess confirmed we had a reservation. "Can I speak to the manager?" He said, "That's me." John ** continue to say no and he couldn’t do anything for us and walked away and left us outside.

I had to personally go to the front desk which I was greeted by Hector the VIP front desk staff whom is another great worker and who goes above and beyond for people, however when Hector went over to John ** he also told him no as well and he had to get Hector had to get his supervisor involved and he had to call over and demand that John ** let us in. After the commotion my wife and I went back to the restaurant with Hector, and John ** said he “forgot“ seated us and apologized, but I am not buying he forgot at all. I believe he just saw people of ** and didn’t want us to come in. He was very unprofessional, very disrespectful, and very inconsiderate.

I thought that the hotel was over the restaurant and all VIP members should be accommodated when the unexpected happen. However that was not the case and it was unacceptable. What I can tell you is the Hibachi food is awesome and the chefs make this a great experience despite the staff. The second experience we went back again. This time John ** was our host again. He seated us and rolled his eyes in the process. Very unpleasant. But when three ** women came he laughed and was super happy.

After the food was done my wife got up only midway and he snatched the chair by John ** like what is going on it was like a circus there. After he escorted the ** women outside for dessert and Later that night someone approached us why we was walking back to our room in regards to our complaint and come to find out he was the manager another gem in this rough resort. I loved him he was so concerned and reassured us that he will make a complaint and it will not go unnoticed, if you are reading this I love you hun and keep being that boss that you are!!!

We also tried the Lobster House which was suppose to be a seafood restaurant, unfortunately they didn’t have lobster and the main courses was not seafood. My advice is if peak season is March-June then the lobster house should not be open until that time, and maybe add more seafood to the menu. There is a burger/wing spot that has there burgers already cooked waiting for someone to pick it up. When I received my cheeseburger someone had bit into it so I returned it to the chef and he looked, peeked through it, threw it away and handmade me another one.

I heard so many no, and not possible from this resort. At one point I just wanted to check out and not look back. We decided to check out the clubs one on the resort one off the resort. The Cave which is a underground club cave and was off the resort $30.00 per person with entry, and transportation and $65.00 with open bar all night. The music was okay but the second D.J. replayed the first D.J. songs and it was a repeat. Seriously The Cave should of been called The Chimney because you are allowed to smoke and my lungs couldn’t survive. A piece of advice please do me the favor and add a smoking section away from the main section of the club because second hand smoke is a killer. I can promise you.

Throughout my vacation I had headaches over the Be Live Collection. I will not be returning, and I will not recommend this resort to anyone. Two thumbs down. In this is my all honest opinion. What Be Live didn’t know about me is I am a travel blogger, have traveled around the world and do reviews on the resort. These resort doesn’t know when I am coming and I pay for my trips and work for myself. Good Riddance!! If anyone resorts will like to write in regards to me rating their hotel, and etc please email me at **. I travel all over the world.

Advice to resort: Please train your employees to not be so aggressive in making a sale for the resort when people are trying to enjoy their vacation. If we want to support we will! Next update the rooms and check to make sure that everything is working before allowing people to book. Next train your housekeepers to knock. Also train your waiters to be kind to all people not just specific group of people “**”. Food: 3, Service: 3, Room: 3.5.

I went to this hotel with a group of 15 friends for my 40th birthday. I booked my trip through CheapCaribbean and made sure the agent knew what I was looking for. I was told the standard room was “courtyard view”. Instead, I got a ground level room and the “view” was a wall with barb wire above it. Behind the wall there were always men in the bushes waiting for us to step out so they can offer weed. I wasn’t warned, so when I stepped out to hang my swimsuit up, I nearly had a heart attack when the men started talking to me. Sometimes security would be walking that back area “to make sure they don’t get in”.

When I spoke to the agent before booking, I asked how safe the resort was because I had heard about a ** by an employee at a resort in the area. A couple locals told me this is the resort it happened after I arrived. I later found the information online. My friend asked a hotel employee to show me how to properly lock the back door because we didn’t feel safe. The male employee came to my room begrudgingly, locked loudly at my door, and just stared rudely at me until I asked him to explain that he was there. He told me he was told to check the lock. He was extremely rude while in there making me even more uncomfortable. The majority of the staff was rude, the food was not good, but most importantly I felt unsafe the unrelaxed during my stay. If you do go to this resort, do not get the standard room and insist on a room on the upper level.

My husband and I booked months in advance a trip to the DR Romana Viva Wyndham Beach resort, as we have been to the same county over 12 times and have always had nothing but great experiences at all the resorts we have stayed in. We had reserved a garden view bungalow with two queen size beds (so our almost two year old would have a place to sleep). Upon arriving to our destination we were told that the hotel was sold out and we would have to wait to the morning. With a baby and no place to go they offered us to stay in an employee room, it was dirty, roaches everywhere a sink being held up with wooden sticks and a small bed with a pad on it.

I refused to stay or put our toddler in that situation and asked for a cancellation and refund to go to another resort. They told us that CheapCaribbean booked a slot of rooms per hotel and our room was given to the last reservation as we arrived at 4:30pm and check in was at 3pm. I have never heard of such a thing and was totally hysterical at this point when a manager came to us to tell us they would give us a room when the next person checked out. We had no other choice but to wait for that after traveling for almost 6 hours with a toddler. We were then given a room with a queen size bed and asked if they had a crib or playpen (as many normal resorts do have). They came in with a crib that was falling apart, dirty and told us to us the bedsheets as the cover for the pad.

It was the worst resort I have ever seen, after walking to five different restrooms not one had a changing table of the five, two had broken toilets with all kinds of floating things in them. By the evening as we thought it couldn’t get any worse it sure did, as we decided to ask for an iron and an ironing board (as many normal resorts all have one in the room already) they told us they did not know if there was one for us to use. After 2 hours and 15 mins of waiting we finally had someone deliver it to our room.

By now to have dinner with a toddler at 9:30 at night what else did we things can go wrong. When we arrive to the main restaurant it was totally a disaster, the ice machines were broken, the soda machines were broken, the serving spoons were missing and people were actually putting their hands into the food to serve themselves. The dollar menu at McDonald’s had more selections than they did, it was a total disaster from the dirty tables to the dirty floors completely understaffed.

Meanwhile it’s owned by two of the richest families in the hotel business. Not to mention the snack bar by the pool area that was open during the day time had one person making the pizza, fries and hot dogs all on his own for the 1000 plus people so the food was gone within mins. By the next day we were ready to leave calling the airlines to find out only one seat available the next day and an additional $1,000 spend. If you are looking for a nice, clean and family friendly resort this is definitely not the one.

My sister and I booked separate reservations to the Bahamas through CheapCaribbean. Unfortunately after comparing itineraries we noticed we had booked different flights. The mix up did happen outside the cancellation period of 24 hours. I reached out to CheapCaribbean to change the 1st leg of our trip so that I can travel with the rest of my party. After explaining the mistake I was told that there is a $200 per person flight change fee plus a $50 rebooking fee. Since my wife and I are on the reservation that would total $500 to change (2) $119 tickets. I ended up changing my flight through JetBlue for a reasonable $75 flight change fee each totaling $150.

CheapCaribbean had the ability to charge a modest change flight fee but instead decided to try to price gouge an additional $350 over actual cost. I have used CheapCaribbean in the past without issue but due to their customer services attempt to collect way over the actual costs I will stick to booking through JetBlue Vacations from now on.

The prices they offer online are good and so I understand that people would be anxious to use them, including me. I guess the saying that you get what you pay for is true.

I am so glad I did the due diligence. The posts were extremely helpful. I am staying away from them and telling others to do the same. Even though I did not actually use their services, there were so many that got burned. I have to comment on behalf of their experiences and bad vacations. Vacations should be stress-free, fun and relaxing. That's the whole purpose of them. People spend good money for them. Apparently, CheapCaribbean doesn't care about that. They should be stopped.

We booked a trip through CheapCaribbean and ended up needing to change the dates. We paid the 100$ fee it costs to change the dates (even at the same resort and well in advance). We paid the fees to change the flight and we were done. We get the new information reservation numbers and flight info sent to us and we are good to go...or so we thought.

We fly to Mexico, get a ride all the way to our resort to find out CheapCaribbean never confirmed our change of date so they didn’t have a room. We spent 5 hours in Mexico without a place to stay or knowing if we would even have a place to stay. The guy we called to work on this was awesome and found us a room, which was our main focus being that after hours of flying and 5 just wandering we wanted a shower and food, and shortly later a bed. He suggested they would refund the 100 change of resort fee and we discussed the fact we would have to take a taxi elsewhere so they chipped in a little for that also.

So now that we are back stateside I called to see if they would be willing to compensate us for the changes we made prior to the issue they created and any compensation for the 5 hour wait time. She told me the best they could do was to review the tapes to see if I was promised anything else. I told her no, I wasn’t. I didn’t wanna bother the man who was helping find me a bed for the night since I was in a different country. So the new change fee and taxi fee was all we got resolved. All the reviews I see complaints about are from people that did not get booking insurance or issues with the resorts themselves. If you do not get the insurance expect issues, the resorts all have reviews. If you are not using a travel agent read reviews on the resorts to determine where to stay. We have traveled many times. We used a travel agent in the beginning to ensure nice resorts. Now we know enough to choose our own resorts.

So far customer service has been one of the best I have dealt with, I was so happy Joyce did not rush me, took time to explain everything, never anything but kind. Best customer service experience I have ever had! Some of the reviews online really are bad but not due to the booking site, but everyone is blaming the booking site. Let me start by saying my trip was wonderful however, my experience leading up to it was a nightmare. I decided that for my 30th birthday I’d begin to travel one a year or twice if I was able and I did just that! My first vacation ever had more tears than the day my kid was born. Myself and my best friend booked a trip to DR and we booked 6 months out and I booked with my maiden name not realizing it would be a huge deal. However it was once I got married a month before my trip not realizing the name change was going to be the deal breaker. I spent 3,000.00 only for us to miss an entire day and be so aggravated and miserable not to enjoy the 2nd day.

Cheap Caribbean only wants the money!!! The airline broke the news to me about the name issue. I called CC & the lady took 53 minutes to take my credit card payment meanwhile telling me over and over “you’re not going to make the flight!” and the airline employee telling me “yes you will if she takes payment and I can change it on my end.” There were minutes of unnecessary moments of silence. I kept asking her, "Was everything OK? Did the payment go through?" until it became too late and then she told me I had to pay $369 for a whole new ticket. I was so stressed out I told my friend just to go without me. Needless to say she missed the flight by two minutes so finally we got an airline clerk who knew what she was doing who wanted to help. She managed to change the name get us on the next flight out for zero dollars.

I tipped her $50.00 because I was so disgusted at the fact that you really have employees who don’t care that you’ve already spent a huge amount of money with them and will be a repetitive customer year after year!!! I WILL NEVER EVER book with them again IDC if I have to pay more somewhere else. I’ll pay for quality service. BASICALLY THIS PLACE WAS GOING TO CHARGE ME $400.00 w/ tax for something I had done for free no hassle and CC deliberately made me miss my flight to try to get more money out of me. Never again.

I ran up almost a $300 phone bill calling them about all our issues, and they only offered me $48 back. From a four-day trip, $48 from hell. I felt so disrespected and disappointed in CheapCaribbean. I booked with them before and went to Jamaica, had a great time. I booked with them again, only reason because my experience with them was great, but this time, they really let me and my wife down completely. I mean, it was so bad, it's unreal. Can you imagine, getting to a resort and you had no reservations, begging somebody to let you in a room, get to a room with no running toilet? No Wi-Fi, you can't even call anybody, get locked out the room. And this is all the same day. It's just was horrible, and they offered me $48 back. That's like an insult on top of injury. We had no type of vacation. We wanted to come back the very next day, we couldn't because we was advised we'll be out of pocket if we try to fly back. So, once again, CheapCaribbean don't care because I felt that they did not try to fight for our money back 'cause it's so many complaints that we put out every day we was there. We had no type of vacation, once again.

Paying full price for a wonderful vacation, were we ever surprised. The place just didn't look like the Riu's we have been to before. We were even asked when checking in to pay $65.00 in cash only for each couple so we could be upgraded. When we got to the pool we saw that it was dirty with tiles missing and the concrete sides untouchable. After two days we asked one of the girls waiting on us at the lobby bar what was going on. She said she was sad because next Wednesday was her last day. We asked if she was losing her job and she said the hotel was shutting down Aug 1 for renovations. WHAT?

Restaurants were closed, sewage smell from construction that was already going on was terrible, amenities we paid for that were broken like the hot tub were not going to be fixed and the 24 hour snack bar was closed on Thursday. After talking to our representative from CheapCaribbean at the hotel she seemed as surprised as we that the hotel did not give us what we paid for and asked us to write down on a peice of paper, (not an official document) what we had experienced. She told us to leave it with one of the other agencies on Tuesday but no one was there. Since no one else was coming in to that hotel, why would they bother to come to work.

After calling Cheap Caribbean we were told that they had been notified by Riu on January 16, 2018 of the closing date. When asked why we were not told, it was because we had booked before they knew and if we had booked after they could have flagged our account and let us know. Hello, two days! Not acceptable. If we would have been told and we still came anyway it would have been on us. Since we were not told then it should be on CheapCaribbean and Riu to make it right. Any help we can get to resolve this fortunate vacation would be greatly appreciated. The ** and the **, celebrating 41 and 43 years of marriage!

I booked a vacation for our honeymoon. I put my wife's name as my last name. The day after I realized we weren't going to be able to get the name change processed in time for the passport (it takes 8 weeks priority) so the next day I let them know to change the name of my passenger to her maiden name. They said they could cancel my existing reservation and process a new reservation with the same name as my wife's maiden name but the flights had gone up since yesterday and they would charge an additional $91 for the new reservation. I cancelled the entire reservation on principle and will book with someone else. This is ridiculous customer service and a dumb way to operate a business.

Originally the site was very helpful when booking my trip. My grandmother passed away two days prior to our trip. When I called, they moved my dates and shortened my trip to make the price stay the same, but said there would be an additional "hotel fee" of $648 for the Melia hotel in Nassau and stated this was a mandatory fee that was charged by the hotel. I have contacted Melia and they have confirmed that no fee was assessed by them and that only the original amount of my hotel stay was paid to them. I have disputed this with my credit card company and have been denied the request due to Cheap Caribbean stating that this "hotel fee" was paid to Melia and not refundable.

I used CheapCaribbean to book a trip to Mexico. Sorting through resorts and packages was easy and so was booking. So easy it felt as if I was missing some aspect of it, but I wasn't. I had a lot of questions afterwards about the trip because I am a bit neurotic. All were answered quickly and thoroughly. A negative occurrence would be the excursion away from the hotel booked through CheapCaribbean was not actually close to the hotel therefore the promised transportation was not provided. The concierge said this is typical. I contacted CheapCaribbean and they were apologetic and refunded the excursion. I would use them again.

Booked a resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. When we arrived, we experienced several issues with an unusable beach, no running water in our room and service problems. Hotel did nothing but alerted us that there is a Cheap Caribbean representative there every day. We met with him and he was nice but really did nothing to mediate for us with the hotel. His only purpose is to sell us excursions. After 3 days of no running water, they told me they would get me another resort. They then flipped representatives and had to start my whole complaint over because they keep no records. New representative tells me they really can't mediate any issues with the resort and they can't book another facility.

I showed him the texts from other guy who said he would and was told they could not do anything about it. During my stay I learned that the beach has not been usable for months and the water supply issue has been a problem for as long as some of the staff had worked there. They can't often change rooms because most have issues. I told Cheap Caribbean that they should not be booking a place like this. Their posting guarantees updated photos and information. Was told we have to do our due diligence as well although he admitted the problems have been at this resort for a long time. Cheap Caribbean is just a discount seller. Do not expect any service from them and do not trust their information. There are many robot reviews that make the bad reviews look small.

What does 7 grand get you? Booked an all-inclusive family trip to Punta Cana. We didn’t have too many specific requests, but one request was not to fly through JFK if possible because my autistic son will be overstimulated and likely having a meltdown there. We were told JFK was the only option, and hesitantly agreed, hoping we could prep our son for possibly being overstimulated at the airport and processing a social story with him ahead of time. Our trip is coming up next week, and I decided to contact the airline directly and ask about other flight options. It turns out, there is a flight that day which would not require going through the airport my son is so afraid to visit. An added bonus is that the flight leaves sooner and wouldn’t cause our entire first and last days of vacation to be consumed by travel as it is currently (so we really get 5 days of vacation for the price of 7).

The airline agreed to change our flights at no extra cost and told us it would be a simple process by having Cheap Caribbean staff contact them. We contacted Cheap Caribbean - 2 days later and after escalating through several levels of staff we are told the final answer is no, despite our son’s disability. Won’t use Cheap Caribbean again, for many reasons but mostly because they are not ADA compliant. Will be looking to file a complaint based on the ADA and their lack of willingness to accommodate our son when other options did in fact exist. I have a feeling I should have waited to write this review, as this is probably only the beginning of our disappointments.

We stayed in Mexico at what was listed on CheapCarribean as a 4.5 star resort. Paid for the most expensive room with a huge deck and a large pool on the balcony... that’s what we paid for. We got a small room with a jacuzzi tub. One that had feces and blood spots on the sheets. No air conditioning, and no hot water. Called the company from Mexico and talked to someone. They never called me back. The roof in one area was leaking and I slid and hurt my hip. I am 44 and in good shape. Not feeble for sure.

Anyway, upon return they did absolutely nothing. Blamed it on the resort. I got the pics and description off of Cheap’s website. Was subject to terrible conditions, timeshare bs and more. Worst group of people ever. Looking into a class action suit. They need to be shut down. I posted on social media about my experience and someone from their staff responded by telling me I should have booked VIP and that never would have happened. What kind of slack suck place are they trying to run. I booked the VIP sans Kahn and half of that was closed also! Any other VIP was never offered and I purchased THE MOST EXPENSIVE room at the resort. No one no matter how much or how little should be subject to that! What a crappy company too.

There is a two night penalty. The "5 star" resort (Breathless resort and spas) they gave us had nothing but scathing reviews from cockroaches, mold, foul odors, bugs, dirt, non working air conditioning and refrigerators and more for the last three months on their own site. These were not the reviews on the site when booking the trip in January. Their response? "Too bad, YOU were the one who chose that deal... Sorry there is nothing we can do." Even though it was suggested by the agent I spoke to when booking it.

False advertising a "five star" resort deal and scams to get more money out of you. Beware.... Part 2: This place was dirty, smelled of urine, bleach and mold. She not only got my issues fixed she did so within a hour or two from when she saw the post. Big shout out to Stella. I will use them again even with this hiccup. I may hesitate to choose a United flight though. I have contacted them still to get their side of it but haven’t heard anything back.

    Original Review: Feb. 5, 2018

We have booked thru CheapCarribean at minimum 10 times over last few years. And each of those times there has been at minimum 6 people and usually 8-10. We booked above trip a month or so ago. That will be our last trip booked through you guys. The way I was treated with this situation and amount of inconvenience it has caused is ridiculous.

Saturday morning I got a flight change where we got moved from our flight from Houston to Cabo (flight 1452 to flight 1438). It arrives 2 hours later in Cabo. I was upset but I do understand that this happens. Then later in day I talked to several other in our group going and found that they had gotten a change also. But their change was just a flight number and they arrived same time in Cabo. (Flight 1438 to flight 6167.) We were the only 4 to get moved off that flight! I called instantly and talk to one of your people. He told me to email the flight people. I did that. He told me I could try to call United directly. I did that.

When I talk to United the lady who was very nice said they had availability but they were not able to make the move without someone from your company making the call. So I called you back yet again on Saturday night. I ask for someone to make that call. To no avail. They said the flight people wouldn't be in until Sunday morning at 5. I called them and was told to call back after 9 because that is when they would be in. They were not. They said at that point to call back Monday morning. So this morning I called back and sat on phone for another 15 minutes on hold (which happened every time). They put me through to your flight people. The lady was nice enough and said they showed no availability on that flight.

At this time I was on United and they did show availability. She said it was business class though and they couldn’t book that. I asked if they could move us to a flight on American that landed and left close to same time. She said yes but then told me it would be 200 more per person. And then told me there could be other changes coming. Lol. This wouldn't be huge deal except my niece who is on other flight has never traveled out of country before and now I am sending her there without me. Which is ridiculous considering we all already paid extra to be on this specific flight. And now 4 of us is not even getting that flight. YES I SAID WE PAID EXTRA FOR THAT FLIGHT. Added to the fact that I booked a transfer for all of us and now the four of us will have to book separate transportation for the four of us. Costing us another 200 dollars.

Like I said I understand mistakes could have been made that was out of CheapCarribean's hand but they could've easily fixed this by several different methods. 1. It is straight ridiculous to run a travel agency as big as you guys and not keep someone in the company who can call airline to make changes over the weekend. If you had had someone this could've easily been fixed Saturday night. When the lady from United said they could easily move us over to other flight. 2. Even today there was availability to move us over but you said you could because it was a upgrade. You should do this and eat the small loss when clearly your customers have gotten screwed and because you were not equipped to fixed it over last few days when the fix was there.

    3. You could have moved the 4 of us to the earlier flight and ate that cost. For the same reasons above. Your service has always been good as far as I am concerned. You usually call days after booking and go over stuff. Which btw you didn't do this time and that was fine though. I did think it was nice service. Your prices were better than most. But I can bet many other companies out there could've fixed this Saturday when I made first call. And to me that level of customer service would be worth the few extra bucks to book through another company.

Anyways I just wanted to write this to management and hopefully it will make you guys change the way you operate just a little. Maybe it will help out future customers. Sorry for ranting but this upset me very much. Not only did change end up costing us money, making my niece go out of country and through customs without me when I told her I would be by her side. We also paid a extra couple hundred dollars for nothing. Change your policies or you WILL lose more customers over time. These policies are bad business.

I felt I was taken care of with transfers waiting with sign at airport on time and with reliable transportation.

The woman told me to just send the information via e-mail to their agent customer service email address. I did that, 4 times so far. I also emailed their consumer customer service email address, 3 times so far. I called twice, the second time I was told by Bob that the matter was being "escalated" and that I would receive a return call that day. That call never came.

I am trying to make a minor change on my clients' reservation. Their information had mysteriously gone through but mine didn't. They are telling me that I can't make the change because I am not their registered agent. I did everything I was instructed to do by CheapCaribbean and they intentionally lied to me so they don't have to pay my company a commission. They are also doing the client a disservice. They told them that they needed to contact the resort directly. Hindsight being 20/20 we should have done that from the beginning. It turns out, it would have been cheaper if we had. So, we asked for the money back. Not-so-Cheap-and-really-stinky-Caribbean said that the money will not be returned and only available as a credit that will expire shortly.

We went to the customer so-called service: first, no one responded for two weeks, then Kimberly ** responded. Her email was very nice, and she knows how to write. Her email said to just call her and she will resolve everything. We called her for over a month, left messages, sent emails. Finally, she responded. Kimberly was rude on the phone, refused to discuss law applicable to our claim, and then refused to even discuss morals of keeping our money when the trip could not be taken.

We have hired a lawyer to sue them and expect that the lawsuit will result in our favor. If you proceed that route, you may want to know that you can get from the courts treble damages because CheapCaribbean is your fiduciary and legal fees reimbursement in the judgment. Yes, good justice for CheapCaribbean, but is this how you want your vacation experience to go?

My husband and I booked a trip in Aug to be taken in Oct. to Paradise Island in the Bahamas. This was a dream come true for both of us. We stayed at the Comfort Suites, to have access to Atlantis, which was wonderful! Here is the problem, two days before our trip we received an email saying that they were just notified that the pool at the hotel was under renovations. I immediately contacted CheapCaribbean because I have a medical condition that prevents me from walking long distances daily and I need the pool for resistance therapy which is crucial for my pain level and walking ability.

For me this was not an inconvenience. It was a matter of being able to walk and move on my vacation! The response from them was, "Sorry for the inconvenience!" There was nothing on the website when I booked this trip about any pool work. I explained in another email, because the wait is too long by phone, that I was unhappy with their response and I was in shock that they did not try to help me in any way! They did say I could still use the pools at Atlantis.

So we took the trip and found out that CheapCarribean knew well in advance that the pool was under renovations, had we known this we would have booked later in the month when it would have been finished. Unfortunately, the closest pool to us in Atlantis was also under construction and I was only able to walk to the other pool on one day. It was just too far for me.

I never made it to the beaches because I was unable to walk to it! I found out too late that our hotel would have provided me with some assistance had we told them the situation sooner. I guess that is my fault I had too much pride and too much embarrassment! The bottom line is CheapCarribean advertised a hotel with a pool, that is what we paid for and they knew it would not be available for us to use, they deceived us, and did nothing to help us! We were at their mercy by the time we were notified they had all my money!!! I will never book with them again! Please Please Please, book with someone else, this company does not care one bit about you. Once they have your money it's over!!!

Last year my daughter began planning her 30th birthday celebration vacation. She researched every aspect of the trip and when a colleague suggested Cheap Caribbean she took the recommendation and reached out to them to plan her once in a lifetime trip. She booked the trip and everything was wonderful. She was traveling from Rochester and I was traveling from the NY/NJ area to meet in the Montego Bay airport 3 days before her birthday. All was perfect until the week of the trip. Hurricane Irma was scheduled to make landfall in Florida on Saturday, September 9th and luckily there was enough time for me to reroute my flight.

Both my daughter and I were in adjoining terminals at JFK the morning of the 9th when both our flights were canceled due to a freak of nature with a lightning strike that occurred the afternoon before having taken out the entire Island of Jamaica's flight radar so no flights were able to land. Fast forward to Saturday evening after 4+ hours on the phone with Cheap Caribbean we were rebooked to Mexico leaving on September 12th. I'd requested a resort on the Riviera Maya and to be placed in one of the Dreams Resorts (or one their affiliate/AMStar resorts).

I was very explicit that I did not want to be at any resort that required guests to have wristbands and that I wanted the same classification of accommodations that we'd had for Jamaica. I was assured repeatedly that we were being placed into a top rung resort that rivaled the Dreams Resorts and was listed as a 5 star resort. I had to pay an additional fee for the new reservation and a flight for my daughter since she'd used one leg of her ticket as she'd had a connecting flight from Rochester (over $580).

Upon receipt of our confirmation I noticed that we were downgraded from a Junior Suite Oceanview to a standard room. I called Cheap Caribbean the following morning and after 2 hours of holding I was told that the reservation had already been released to the resort and that we could not make the correction. We traveled to Mexico the morning of the 12th and upon arrival at the hotel, were told that there was no reservation in our name. We had to pay an additional $500+ for two nights lodging while we waited for Cheap Caribbean to fix their error. To add insult to injury the resort we were booked into was not on the same level as the resort that I requested. We were required to wear wristbands, which is something that I verbally stated I did not want multiple times to the representatives from Cheap Caribbean.

My daughter spent two hours on the phone, while sitting in the lobby, since that was the only place she had consistent reception, trying to get Cheap Caribbean to correct their mistake. While we were at resort, they did confirm our reservation, but did not correct the room classification causing an additional cost to me. I've done quite a bit of traveling and have never had such a bad experience. The resort was picturesque, however that was the only positive. There were multiple buffets, but the selections were not wide and the food was not tasty. The theater was an open air space with no air conditioning and the ceiling fans did not offer any relief from the heat. We were not happy with the cleanliness either.

Most morning we would leave our room by 9 am and put the sign on the door to please clean our room and when we returned in the afternoon (after 3 pm) our room would not have been serviced. On the 3rd day when we returned, we were so disappointed that we went to complain in person since calling Housekeeping did no good. On our second day, we requested wash cloths no one brought us any. By chance, I was able to get some when the maid came to the room to see if wanted her to provide turn down service.

Now we are home nearly a month and Cheap Caribbean has still not refunded the difference between the rooms grade that we were supposed to have been booked into and the one they put us in. Their response has been that they appealed to the resort to provide us with the difference and the resort has responded that Cheap Caribbean was at fault. There has been no resolution to our frequent calls and emails. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had.

Hello, so I recently had a group trip planned for Puerto Rico but unfortunately the area has recently suffered serious damage by two consecutive hurricanes which left the island unable to accommodate guests at this time. I had booked the flight and hotel through CheapCaribbean.com and got in contact with them days before the hurricane hit the island and asked about being refunded my deposit as it was clear that area would not be able to be visited any longer at this time.

A few days passed and finally the company emails and calls me letting me know the reservation had been canceled due to damages sustained by the island and travel credit will be given to those affected. Here lies the problem... This was an unfortunate event which was out of everyone's control and yet the company refused to refund me SOLELY on the grounds that it's their policy not to give refunds.

When I called and spoke with a representative, he stated only $127 will be held as future travel credit with them and that I would have to contact the airline for the refund of $724 for the airfare directly. Upon speaking to the airline, they agreed to fully refund me free of any fees or penalties but then stated the refund would be going to the Mastercard used to book the trip... However, I booked my entire trip using my American Express.

Unfortunately, the airline stated they had to refund to the purchase card used to purchase the tickets which now leaves me where I'm currently at... I have my full amount sitting in the account of a "nonrefundable" company even though I was told by a representative that I would have to call the airline and be refunded by them but, the company was smart enough or should I say sneaky enough to know to book using their means of purchasing so that in the case there was a refund, I, the customer would still not see that refund. I'm currently disputing this with American Express as it is an unfair business practice. When asked why the Mastercard was used to purchase the airline tickets rather than the card I provided, the person stated, "It is for your protection". So now you have an idea of what kind of company this is. STAY AWAY.

I inquired about how long of a wait, and this place wasn't taking any reservations - up and to the "May" of 2018 (which is when my year would be up). I simply asked for a refund - so I could just rebook, when the resort was rebuilt. Cheap Caribbean said I could only get a credit from the resort and the airlines - no refunds!

I had no desire to go anywhere else, but I was forced to find another trip - because there was no refund. And, if I didn't find/use another trip before May, I lost my monies!! WOW!!!

    O. K, so, now there was no way I was just gonna hand them free money, by walking away. I thought, I would choose another location, and then look for civil action against the company. (They are out to protect only themselves and the only ones that are out on this - would be the resort and ME!!) If you book, and come across some issues, you can bet - there is NO WAY "Cheap" Caribbean is going to take a hit at any level!! If something is wrong - you will be the only one who not only suffers the brunt of the pain... You will also be the only one to carry any financial burdens.

Once you make a partial payment, don't expect to get ANY back!! They hold your money and force you to book another trip, if things go south on the intended trip!! RUN!!! RUN FAR, and VERY FAST!!! DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS PLACE!!! There is my two cents worth. Now, I will head to a place where I have absolutely no desire to go - for my long awaited vacation (since May). BAD REVIEW FOR Liz, Timothy.

In May 2017 my now ex husband went on Cheap Caribbean to purchase a 7 night w/ flights all inclusive vacation for us. I paid half the trip with my credit card and he paid half with his card however, we broke up the end of May and I called 6 times to cancel my part of the trip. But because my ex was the primary on the reservation, they said he had to call in and cancel my part of the trip. And because it was a bad break up due to a crazy alcoholic man that I begged to cancel to get some money back.

He did not call out of spite and Cheap Caribbean told me because he did not cancel, I lost my 1500 bucks! Then I fought it with my bank and Cheap Caribbean sent a rebuttal of some policy of absolutely no refunds that I never was told when I called 6 times nor saw on the paperwork so I lost 1500 and never went on the vacation. They don't even give you a credit or can change your reservation, nothing! Absolutely will not use them again!!! Bookit has a refund and great cancelation policy...

I contacted Cheap Caribbean because I was supposed to have my luggage free at the airport and I didn't because they decided to use their credit card. I called them and they was rude and hang up the phone at me. I send them email. Never reply. The worst company to deal with. When I needed to book yes they will be there for me. I went to Montego Bay Jamaica and I stay in the hotel name Riu Palace Tropical Bay in Negril. They said it had a club and is not true and also they said they have babysitter. I never see it. The hotel is not that bad but they cook the same food for all the 5 days I was there...

Cheap Caribbean is the worse. Don't book with them. First and last time. I rather call the hotel myself... My first night at the hotel my sheet was dirty and they provided a new one but left it in top of the bed for me to change it. In the fridge they left an open soda and they didn't even change it. At the hotel one of the lifeguard was very rude whistling next to me very loud and he told me that he can do whatever he want to, go to the front desk I did and IDK what they do. Another thing is I contact Cheap Caribbean and let them know. They said they was going to change my hotel. They lied. On Monday they came to me with excuses. Don't want to ever experience nothing with them.

I am writing this to make sure others don't get scammed by this company. I recently traveled to Mexico and booked an all inclusive package at the Grand Oasis. I was told it included 17 restaurants. Come to find out while I was on vacation there I wasn't allowed entry into some of the restaurants and there were 25 on this resort. What cheap Caribbean didn't tell us was there are 3 resorts on this one property I paid for all inclusive and it only included about 60% of things on resort. They are scamming people on these packages. I was never told by the sales person this package did not include about 10 of the restaurants on resort. Air conditioning in room barely worked. I will never use this company again and can not see how they can sell this package as all inclusive.

We booked a vacation to a certain hotel, after an hour we realized we have to change our dates, we call back to CheapCaribbean and the sale rep. gave us a different option saying it is in the same location and the same hotel quality. We trusted her and booked it. When arriving to the hotel we were shocked by the quality of the hotel - not even close to what we order at the beginning and the location was completely different.

Right away (from the vacation!) we called CheapCaribbean so they will relocate us explaining them we were misled by their sale rep. - no help came from them - in fact they said they will do something only 2-3 days later - our vacation was only 4 days. So we found ourselves a different hotel and ended up paying triple the price. Now they don't even want to return the full amount we pay. We are trying to reach someone to speak with and they constantly forward us to a voice mail. A good company is one that handle any situation in a way where even if they made a mistake, you as a customer will be happy. We don't recommend this company at all! Worst customer service!

I work all the time. I took 5 days off work and went for the first time by myself to DOMREP to a supposedly 5 star resort (Bavaro Palladium). Whilst there my first two days I was starving and in my room. Why? Because the first evening I was tired of hearing screaming kids so I walked outside and was cursed at and threatened by their drunk parents, I went back in. The second day 3 large women also drunk started talking trash and calling me names. I was in shock and told management, they moved me to a disgusting lower premium room that took 8 hours from start to finish in the lobby and waiting for the manager.

During this time I was so stressed and hungry and couldn't stop crying. The third day was worse and I ended up leaving early on the first flight out. The hotel would do absolutely NOTHING. Cheap Caribbean made me wait 21 days to tell me the HOTEL would give me the night I left room fee that was it. Cheap Caribbean has said there is nothing else they can do.

I was totally disappointed. Get back to Florida. Spirit has delayed our flight home. Not once but 3xs then finally just cancels it. So we're stuck in Ft Lauderdale and we live in Tampa. No that's not CheapCaribbean's fault but the way I've been handled since is. Been waiting weeks for a refund for a partial flight that was supposed to take 7-10 days. I purchased a cruise from them this April from the for July the 4th. When spoke to them I told them very clearly that I was Cuban born. Well it turns out that they sold me the wrong visas. If was not for the cruise line when tried logging to get my Docs I had to call the cruise line and the lady was the one that told me that the visas they sell are not good for Cuban born people. So I called CheapCaribbean since I am 4 month ahead before the cruise to cancel. The lady that sold me the cruise did not answer me and had to deal with another agent. I explain what happen and she admitted that it was not my fault and that she was going to cancel my cruise and give me a complete refund.

After 24 hours things change drastically. Now they claim that it's my fault 'cause I did tell the agent I was Cuban born which she is lying because since the beginning I informed her about that. So now they tell me they have charge me 100 dollars cancellation fee which they already charged it to my credit card but there's no refund of my money anywhere to be found. Some of their travel agents don't know what they are doing and then customers like me end up waiting endlessly for a refund. I will never do another booking with them again.

I am writing to say we are very dissatisfied with Cheap Caribbean. We have booked several vacations with them and never had any problems. Great vacations, no problem. Crappy vacation with issues big problem. Cheap Caribbean like any other company is getting a kickback from working with and selling vacations for these resorts so for that reason they should be responsible for their part. The resort was Bahia Principe Ambar Blue in Punta Cana. We purchased an upgrade for an adults only resort and it was not. In my world this is selling a false bill of goods. We made several attempts to contact Cheap Caribbean with our issues during vacation and got nowhere with them or the resort they are working with. We simply wanted our upgrade refund and they would not work with us. The whole vacation was a disaster from start to finish.

Rude staff, no working phone, no beach towels, water down drinks and subpar food. After several emails they finally said they would give us $200 in sun dollar credit to book another vacation. Not a refund but just a credit to get you to buy another vacation. All we ever heard from Cheap Caribbean is that the resort refused to refund the upgrade for the Adults only when it certainly was not. No real explanation. This is just false advertising. If you're going to book a vacation in Punta Cana beware of this resort and go through a booking company that is fair and cares. All the trips we've booked and they could care less about return business. If they did the right thing they would have continued to get our business. When you advertise for these resorts it is in part some of the responsibility to make sure you're not getting taken. Feeling very ripped off. Since we were issued only a credit they could have at least refunded the whole upgrade.

I'm not sure why people have the negative reviews because we have always had a WONDERFUL experience. They take care of your flight and hotel reservations. We have never had an issue. The hotel always knows our arrival times is ready for us when we get there. They even know what time our departure flight is and makes sure we have a ride back to the airport at the correct time. I did see some reviews where people complained about flight issues. If you have a flight issue (we have NEVER had one) you should call the airline not Cheap Caribbean as the flight issue is the airport's problem.

So, I will just start by saying that I normally don't write reviews, but due to the WONDERFUL customer service I've received just in the past day, I felt compelled! I was SUPER skeptical to purchase my vacation package with CheapCaribbean.com for the main reason you're probably on this site reading the reviews... I read some REALLY bad ones. As one would when they are about to drop some serious money, you do your research, cross your fingers, and hope for the best. When I clicked that submit button on their website, I got a little tingle of nervousness... BUT checked my email and had instantly received a confirmation email with all of my vacation details! I then realized that I forgot to type in a promo code to get $75 off --- SHOOT!

I quickly searched the "Contact" page and found a place to fill out an email to their support team. I sent in a short, descriptive email and within just minutes I had received a response back from a friendly customer service agent, Carmen, who told me she would gladly credit back the card I used to pay! WOOHOO! I then noticed that the flight information provided on my confirmation email wasn't what was needed on JetBlue's website... UH OH! The panic starts to sink back in... so, what do I do? Email to the customer service agents again! I sent my email inquiring as to why the airline locator didn't work on the airline website and AGAIN, within only MINUTES, I got another lovely response back, this time from Danielle with the airline locator that worked on JetBlue's site --- YES!!! Shortly after that occurred, I got the official email from JetBlue with all of my flight info and seat numbers.

I had some questions regarding my room at the resort, Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort and Spa, so since I have such great luck with my emails to CheapCaribbean, I said, "What the heck! I will email the hotel to see if they can assist me!" Sent my email to their support team, and like clockwork, within a few minutes I have received a super detailed and friendly email from a customer service rep of the hotel. All of my questions, answered and was even provided with additional information that was very helpful!!! I haven't even gone on my vacation yet, but if this is any indication as to how the trip will be, I am certainly pleased and looking forward to my upcoming time in PARADISE!

I am writing only because I recently viewed a commercial for Cheap Caribbean, and I realized more people will be likely putting themselves at risk thinking they are buying a fantastic vacation. In 2012, I booked a vacation package through Cheap Caribbean for myself and my boyfriend. We flew out via JetBlue and that part of the trip went well; however, the shuttle service provided in the vacation package responsible for transportation from the airport to the resort had an accident. The shuttle driver drove recklessly when another driver attempted to pass him. I woke up in the hospital. My boyfriend told me we had done a 180 degree turn and flipped. As a result of this accident, the right side of my head was split open and my back was broken.

When I got back to the US and was able to contact Cheap Caribbean, they were of little help. THEY WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE ME A REFUND. I had to fight the charges through my credit card company. I ended up paying for the bulk of the vacation nightmare because I used the round trip airfare and the resort wasn't the main expense. Plus I found out I COULD NOT sue Cheap Caribbean because they have a big disclaimer at the time of purchase. You can die on a trip and still not sue them. As a result, I am currently dealing with an international lawsuit with the transportation company. I have permanent nerve damage, difficulty with mobility, and about to have corrective surgery. It wasn't worth it. So my warning to anyone looking to enjoy themselves on a vacation and save some money, pay a little more and go with a reputable company. So if anything goes wrong you hopefully have more protection. You never think it will happen to you until it does.

We have always booked our vacations 2-3 times a year through another vendor over the years and have always had a great experience and usually stayed at an Iberostar Resort. We decided to take a chance and find a "better deal" through Cheap Caribbean. We booked a vacation this year to Jamaica with the Deal of Fortune which you don't know what you are getting until 1 week before the trip. All of the hotels showed 4-5 star rating and Iberostar was one of them so we assumed that they were all about the same. We were told 1 week before the trip that we are staying at Sunscape and went online to read all of the reviews and noticed it had the worst reviews we have ever read. I called Cheap Caribbean and asked to switch hotels and they said that we would lose the land $ (hotel stay) which was over $7000 if we changed PLUS $50 per person fee to change the hotel.

I asked the person if everyone gets booked at this hotel because that is what it seems and he said that the majority do because it is the least booked. (I wonder why) It seemed like to me that it was a scam just for that hotel and the other hotels don't even get booked. He said he would e-mail the hotel to see if they would waive the fee if we booked a different hotel and get back to me. My guess they never e-mailed them and why would they waive the fee to book to another hotel? That didn't even make sense to me. They also said that you have 45 days before the trip to cancel, how do you cancel a deal of fortune if you find out 1 week before the trip?

I then received a call from Danielle which I assume was the manager since she took on the management answers to everything and just said, it can't be changed. I don't know how people can look themselves in the mirror every day being able to just brush off $7000 of someone's money and seem like they don't care. I will never use Cheap Caribbean again and continue using Resortvacationstogo.

On December 9th myself along with my brother, and a good friend of ours, and his girlfriend flew out of JFK airport to enjoy what we hoped would be a beautiful 5 day vacation in Puerto Plata Dominican Republic. What we actually experienced was nothing short of traumatic. Upon arriving at Sti airport we located Amstar for our transportation to the hotel. We set this up through CheapCarribean (CC) thinking they would have our best interests in mind. Once again we were severely mistaken. This is where the lies began.

The representative from CC informed us that the trip should take 40 mins depending on traffic. This trip took us nearly 3 hours driving us through some of the most poverty-stricken areas, not the most ideal prerequisite to a beautiful vacation getaway. Some of the things we saw were actually quite disturbing. I understand that CC does not have any control over the current living situation in Puerto Plata DR, but I feel it is blatant disregard on their part to not mention such a disturbingly painstaking element to its potential buyers.

After our 3 hour ride, we arrive at the unimpressive entrance of the Sunscape Motel. Our bags are brought to the concierge desk by hotel staff who spoke little to no English whatsoever. My brother and I stayed in room 2103 which was a concrete walled asylum-like hotel room. This hotel was rated with 4.1 stars according to CC but the resort was nowhere near that. This resort has NOTHING to offer. Including a broken safe, busted door latch, stained mirror, terrible odor, door don't seal, peeling ceiling, dirty thermostat and dirty walls. Not to mention BUGS everywhere even in the dining areas. The food was sub-par how could a resort score 4-5 stars and serve ketchup packets at its buffet... What kind of quality is that. And outside at the beachside grill, spoiled bottles of ketchup left out in the sun. Disgusting. We could have all got sick from this type of negligence.

CC boasted how beautiful this resort was and for that I feel they are responsible for our terrible time. CC severely mislead us, it is disturbing how a travel agency can purposely misguide someone, let alone 4 individuals. CC provided no service here, rather a complete and undeniable disservice and waste of time and money.

As we ventured through the resort nightfall was near and we began asking hotel staff where the best place to enjoy our night would be. One worker informed us to go to the beach after 11 pm for a "party". Thankfully we did not do this seeing as to another couple who we encountered warned us that the beach was not a place we wanted to be past dark at all whatsoever. This was just the beginning of the unsettling feeling. It felt as if the hotel staff was out to get us in some fashion. We ended up in the Eclipse night club which was a sad excuse for a club at all. Including a disco light and some loud music and not to forget the multitude of prostitutes who were inside the club attempting to solicit themselves to my brother and I! Extremely disturbing and unsettling.

INSIDE THE RESORT! Along with the rough crowd which seemed to be locals from the surrounding area we stuck out like a sore thumb and immediately felt like targets inside the resort. The bartender at the premium bar recommended we venture out to the place nearby just outside of the resort called Clubber. My Brother and I took his advice and went. It was here that we again crossed paths with the same prostitutes and what seemed like pimps that we saw inside Eclipse nightclub earlier. We officially felt watched and had high levels of anxiety. These same 15 or so individuals seemed to continuously pop up at the same restaurants we went to and the same areas in the resorts. We were all almost certain the hotel was in on this charade and was allowing this to go on. This all took place on out first night... how disturbing.

As we retired back to our room happy to be back in what we felt was our only solitude the air conditioning shut off in the middle of the night. I called the front desk to aid me to which they replied in terribly broken English "The AC will be off till 7 am. It just does that." My brother and I rolled around in our respective beds sweating in the humidity and did not get any sleep. I shortly after called for some water bottles to which I was told "You are allowed 2 water bottles to the room a day" by the woman Johaira at the concierge desk. In 85 degree weather with 99-100% humidity... Extremely Unaccommodating. Nothing about the front desk was welcoming nor accommodating, neither to us or our language. In fact we were then questioned why we needed so many water bottles on the following day when we requested 4 bottles... absolutely disturbing way to treat an American citizen who has gone through the trouble of visiting your country.

The other time I called the front desk for pillows they made me feel as if I was bothering them for this request bc the pillows on my room were all deflated and worn. I had to call twice for them to address this. This trip was nothing short of an inconvenience. CC was supposed to be the factor in this vacation that lead to a happy vacation that went off without a hitch instead they were the sole reason why we were so disturbed.

We all ultimately felt unsafe after the first night. We were tired of the lies the staff was telling and the unsettling feelings we couldn't shake of us being watched. Another bartender at the pool bar informed me that 6-700 people would be arriving for the 4 pm foam pool party... the same 15 or so local individuals were in attendance as I walked by. How could someone say 6-700 people, such a blatant lie. We all decided it would be safest to cut our vacation short and opt for an early flight home. We then spent all of our second day on the phone with CC and Delta trying to make these arrangements.

Our second day, sleep deprived as it was, was now wasted dealing with CC reps over the phone. We felt complaining to the front desk would bring us even more unwelcoming actions from the staff. We truly felt trapped and unsafe. We switched out flight to the following day in an attempt to end out nightmare ASAP. We could not shake the negative unsafe feelings the resort and its staff had put in us we wanted out.

DO NOT BOOK YOUR TRANSPORTATION WITH AMSTAR - they will ** you if you don't attend their timeshare like they did to us. We booked ours through CheapCaribbean (another mistake) and they charged us $74 for shared airport transfer (individual cabs take a maximum of $25 each way and SuperShuttle is even cheaper) but we bought it anyway since we thought doing it all together will be better (we were so wrong!); They require you to 'report' thrice at their counter before the pickup (day 1, day of pickup minus one and on the day of pickup); the first two times are done to ensure they have time with us to bore us with their timeshare holiday.

On day 1 when I reported at the counter, the guy at the counter (Ismail) was rude when, after listening to him push his sales pitch to me for 20 minutes, I said "Please do not push these, I am not interested. I only want my pickup and drop for which I have pre-paid." I couldn't believe it when he retorted "You don't care for your family? You are taking tours which will waste your and your family's time but not ours?" "Some people just don't get it; I have such a good deal and he doesn't want to listen." I just stood up and left. He got back at me by making sure we missed our return drop!! When we reached for the pickup at 10:55 am (the scheduled pickup time for our 2:01pm flight), he handed us a note saying "We waited for you till 11:05am but since we did not find you, we had to leave!!"

Aghast, I pointed out to him that it was still only about 11 so it is impossible for the car to have waited till 11:05 and left; he said he will try to arrange another car and kept saying we were late in the face of evidence in his face to the contrary! Then he was on the phone for 20 minutes supposedly "trying" to get me an alternate which he finally said he could do at 12:55pm; since this was obviously very late, I had to spend another $25 on a taxi after paying these scamsters $74!! Then he tells me "I am trying to help you and you are walking away!"

I never had to call customer service because I booked everything on their website and like I said never had any problems. Rooms were all nice. Everything was great and CheapCaribbean made it cheaper and easy! The only reason I'm writing this is because I googled CheapCaribbean to book my next trip and saw all the negative reviews, I am shocked! Don't be discouraged, they are great.

I called CheapCaribbean and they told me that the hurricane didn't affect Puerto Plata but I had a letter from the hotel asking us to take in balcony furniture because the hurricane was going to hit us. I emailed letter to CheapCaribbean and then they wanted to give us $100 of future vacation. We had 2 people and for all 5 days we couldn't swim. That's $10 a day per person. The trip was over $1000. I know that they don't control the weather but we should be taken care of. They can keep the $100 coz I'll never use them again.

So before booking through CheapCaribbean.com, my husband and I were extremely reluctant after reading countless bad reviews. The savings were significant enough for us to make the decision to go for it, despite the fear instilled from what we read. First booking, AMAZING. Not a single thing went wrong, and the customer service was top notch. The resort was incredible and was featured as the deal of the day, so what should have been a 2400 dollar PP resort (flights included), ending up costing us 1700 PP. After having such a great experience, we decided to go for it again! Our second vacation surpassed the first. Extremely great deal, wonderful customer service, and a drama free booking. We figured at this point, maybe we should think twice before booking for the third time. After all the terrible reviews, something bad is bound to happen right!? WRONG!

We initially booked a trip to the Bahamas and unfortunately were unable to fly there due to a major hurricane. First problem we ever encountered with a vacation booking, but a natural disaster nonetheless. Well the destination change was easy as pie, and the customer service we received while doing so was nothing short of wonderful. They were able to waive our resort fees and Orian, the travel agent we dealt with, looked into several resorts for us to find the best deal. We will remain loyal to CheapCaribbean.com for all of our future travel booking! Maybe after the bad reviews they received, they decided to up their game. They certainly exceeded our expectations!

After a very long trip from airport to hotel, we are received directly with SUN CLUB PROMOTION. We are exhausted but don't want to be rude. After 2 hrs of listening to a sales pitch we are finally cut loose with a arrangement of the following morning: BRIEFLY get into the presentation. We were happy with the hotel.

The following morning we are awaken with the call to our room. I said "we only want peace for our hard earned vacation. No calls please, no sales pitch." We proceed to breakfast and then beach!! On our stay in the beach we were asked if we were with the group of buses?? We didn't know what they meant, UNTIL WE GOT BACK TO THE HOTEL!!! It was lunch time and it looked like the entire town of Puerto Plata had taken over the hotel. No room in the pool. Overpowered staff with attitude, no courtesy in the buffet room, no space in the "Gaucho" restaurant, no Rum left in the bars come Friday night.

Well needless to say it was a HORRIBLE experience. No room in the pool!! No quality food service!! No domestic alcohol!! And a very annoying salesman who wouldn't give up until we went to the presentation for sun club... which was not a fast 90 mins. More like 2.5 hours!!! And from the beginning we said "we can't travel enough to be interested." What waste of our money and time. I want my money back!! Since I can't get my time back!!

She called on numerous occasions to get the sale and informed me that this would secure the low price. One month CC is advertising the same exact package for 60% cheaper. I asked if I could be compensated with a refund or upgrade my hotel. Many emails were sent to her, but to no avail. I really wish CC would provide some sort of compensation, as this trip we are celebrating my husband's 65th birthday, and I am now reading so many awful reviews. This is making me highly stressed... but I am still hoping for a good holiday in December 2016.

I want to know why your advertising as family resort doesn't meet requirements as a family resort. It's totally insecure resort and totally old and smelly resort. As a preferred club member I didn't have any benefit except I change 3 rooms and still was not happy with room. Your beach view or beach front same. Nothing different. I have a couple of pictures want to add in my reviews so people can see what I gone through and what kind of room I got as a preferred club room or member. I am totally not happy. I been travel all my life but this one I have a very bad experience.

Your prices was high, your hotels are not 5 stars, your rooms are bad and very old condition, your family resort are not for family, it's for young people who get drunk and start biting me. I am 51 years old. Return home with lots of pain and bruises on my face, with broken nose and swollen face. People from room service or med service steal my 2 very expensive sunglasses. Lots of people complains me that they lost in room and no one ever got their items back. It's a 2 star motel not hotel. Smells everywhere in rooms, in pool area, in the beach or from white sand. There was shower in bathroom was sucks, mini bar was not working, they didn't change the liquors, or sodas .

My request took 3 days to change mini bar. Buffet was very bad and dirty. Only couple of restaurant was good. No refund for romantic dinner because start rain and hotel didn't have umbrella. They move us inside with other people and my romantic dinner change to non-romantic public dinner. This vacation was very bad vacation my entire life...

We booked Riu in Montego Bay for a 6 day/5 night vacation. The resort is rated at 4.5 (I don't know how because they seem to not have any bad reviews on CC) but it was at least 2 stars short. The facility is completely outdated. To put things in perspective, they had a 19" BOX TV in 2016 at the resort in our room. Not only that, they didn't even have real comforters, just double sheet covers. The toilet seat was broken. Rain flies were all live outside our bedroom door as it was supposed to be cleaned by the housekeeping but no one did it unless we asked them to. Not only that, they have a huge restaurant with a buffet but they kept the doors open knowing well that the rain flies would be all over the food. Every time we went to get something cold like fruit, butter, cheese, fresh juice, etc, there were rain flies all over the food. The pool had so many spots where the floor was cracked and their tile/flooring was peeling.

We arrived on Saturday and notified CheapCaribbean on Monday about this and they said they would look into where they can move us. They never called back but we had to reach out to them. Then they only used the same excuse every time saying that they are waiting for RIU management to reply to them to release us of the early departure fees. We spoke to the management and they had no such inquiry but were willing to let us go without any fees. Then CheapCaribbean never got back to us but rather kept emailing to us that they weren't able to get a hold of the management.

Also, they said if we wanted to move, we would have to pay additional money for the other resorts. Now we all know that in business, you have relationships. I can't imagine where they didn't have any relationships, with the resort we were trying to leave and the other resorts which would have provided better facilities and amenities. Having said that, they were no help and I am very disappointed with CheapCaribbean. Your loss CC... You have lost me and many other folks I will pass the word with.

Once I received notification of the resort I received I immediately contacted them. They have me what they considered a 4-Star Resort - but fell at least 1.5 Stars short. Even on their website the resort was getting less than 4-Stars and I brought that to their attention. They said that they rated it that way. However when calling them, you are directed to someone who works from home and sells you vacations. They said I had no recourse other than to pick another resort and pay an additional $800.

I called again and asked to be moved to one of the other resorts listed. They said they would waive the $100 cancellation fee and it would be $700 more. So I did some investigating and check out the other resorts listed under the "4" they had listed. They in fact were beautiful 4-Star resorts with lots more to offer. And they had openings... I was told they were sold out. They continued to lie to me over and over in two phone calls. I could not get a refund. There were numerous families that did the same deal and ended up at "Sunscape Splash." They were also extremely upset with CC... they tried to get moved also. Same thing... BIG BUCKS!!!

After speaking to an inexperienced representative, she proceeded to tell me that my card was decline (Complete lie because I have tons of funds in the account). She then put me on hold and told me she would try again (This time she told me I exceeded my spending limit) for the day which was another lie because I have spent more than $1,700 in one day in the past). She then put me on hold again and told me the card went through with no issue. I then believed her and got my confirmation number. Later that night, I check my bank account and noticed she charged me almost $5,000.00. I called Cheap Caribbean and they were unsure of what could have happened and told me to call my bank.

I proceeded to call my bank and spent about 3 hours on calls between the bank and Cheap Caribbean because no one wanted to take responsibility on what happened. I called the bank first thing on Saturday morning because I wanted my problem escalated and because I could not wait until Monday morning. The bank was able to reverse all the charges except the balance which I owed. Everything was okay throughout the remainder of the weekend until Tuesday morning. I experienced the same issue again. My account was charged AGAIN for another $5,000.00. I have been in contact with Cheap Caribbean Corporate and my bank to get my funds once again. This has been the most unpleasant, unprofessional experience I have ever encountered. I had to close my bank account, to prevent this from happening again. Cheap Caribbean has now lost a good customer and I thought it would be a good idea to make others aware.

We gave them all of our information (obviously) yet they placed us in a resort that needed a 25+ to check us in (none of us were). If one of the guys on the trip hadn't double checked the resort a week before we would've lost all of our money, CheapCaribbean neglected to tell us that. When we asked to be put in a different hotel they charged us an additional fee and had the audacity to tell US to find a different resort (Ridiculous. This is literally their job).

Then one of our friends in the group was denied to leave the country because of "passport damage". When he called CheapCaribbean not only did they take 2 weeks to get back to them but they said that they could refund him only if they double charged his roommate for the trip to make up for it. All in all this is a terrible travel agency and I would not recommend anyone to book with these Jabronis.

I purchased a package (flight+hotel) trip via CheapCarribean.com for two for $1,622.32 to Bahamas for a departure at 6 am on 1/22/16 and a return on 1/25/16. We were notified that our flight was not available at 10:30 pm on 1/21 at which point we contacted the company to seek alternatives. The two options we were offered were: 1) Leave on 1/22, go to Chicago, find and pay out of pocket for a one night hotel there, leave for our destination in late evening of 1/23 and arrive there in the early morning of 1/24; 2) Leave late on 1/22 and use a different airline for an additional surcharge of $286.

Neither of these options worked for us due to the significant difference in price and changed travel schedule so we requested a refund. CheapCarribean.com has refused to issue a refund and has instead given us a voucher for the price of the trip that is to be used within one year and requires $200 per person ticket exchange fee. This credit is useless to us because we have one week of vacation for the remainder of the year which is already booked and not via the services of CheapCarribean.com so we cannot use it.

The additional $400 ($200 per person) is not something we think is fair or reasonable of the company to force us to pay for a trip that was cancelled for no fault of ours. Even if the two prior points were not the case, our experience with this company has been so negative up to this point that we are unwilling to ever use its services again.

CheapCarribean.com not only ruined our vacation but has failed to refund us for services it never delivered to us. The predatory and unfair business practices of CheapCarribean.com pry on unsuspecting customers. The fine print of rules and conditions behind which the company hides leaves little room for recourse on the consumer side and gives the company all the leverage to take advantage of the customer. The company should be investigated in depth by consumer protection agencies and banned from conducting business in its current state. In the meantime, consumer beware! You have no rights if you do business with CheapCarribean.com.

When you book a vacation and go through a travel agent you expect their integrity, trust, professionalism, and to help you when unexpected issues arise. I have personally used your CheapCaribbean on three other occasions. This last time, I used it and made it number four. I decided to try something new and different and fun this time. I selected the deal of fortune which consisted of five different resorts that were a 4 1/2 star category. The hotels that were listed for this deal were as follows: Barcelo Maya Palace deluxe, Azul, Iberostar, Dreams Puerto adventures and one of the Now resorts.

I explained to the travel agent that I have been to Mexico several times and that Riviera Maya was my favorite spot. I explained to her some of my favorite resorts were the El Dorado, El Dorado Royale, and the Barcelo Palace which was included, and a possible choice for this package. She knew the type of class I was used of and told me that any of the choices would meet my expectations. She did mention she could put in the notes that I would prefer the Barcelo but that she couldn't guarantee it. I was still ok with that because all the other resorts should be classified the same category for a 4 1/2 star and same class category. The travel agent also offered insurance and told me with this upgraded insurance that I could cancel for any reason and get all my money back, also including emergency protection on the trip.

When we finally got to the resort, after a two hour delay on the runway, I was quite excited and looking forward to my welcome drink. We drove up to the lobby that was not air-conditioned, that was outside, and was rushed into the check-in process. Nothing was explained about the resort or activities and I had to ask where my welcome drink was. The first impression of the resort was not a good one. It definitely did not fall into a 4 1/2 star class category. After getting to our room, it was nice, but a mildew sour odor was coming from somewhere and we couldn't figure it out. (It was the phone)

I did not want to judge on my first impression so we decided to walk the resort and see what else was there to my surprise nothing. The beach was full of rocks and seaweed. There was one little roped off section of beach that you could swim. The beach was so overcrowded with people they didn't even have chairs available. I knew this was a family resort but this was October and off-season when normally children would be in school. The entire resort was nothing but kids (90%). The resort was over capacitated for its size. There were two small pools, one for just adults and one family. After research, this resort was 35 years old. (so you compare 35 years to a under 10 year resort) having only one indoor restaurant, only one indoor bar, and the air conditioner was broken. After speaking with the staff, it has been broken for a while.

We could not get into the only breakfast location because it was overpacked. We had to go to the Mexican restaurant that was open but that didn't have breakfast food. They didn't even have bacon for breakfast. The one section to be able to step down and snorkel looked like an empty dried up seaweed pit full of trash. Umbrellas were in bad condition and warped. Used diapers were by the pool. There is no way this resort can be compared to the other four resorts that were listed in this deal.

When I mentioned the choices to some of the staff they laughed and said no we're definitely no Barcelo. Also the resort right next to this one, the Catalina, is a three star resort and was nicer than this one! I was so upset of what I was seeing and what supposedly I had paid for and told I was supposed to receive, I was distraught and in tears. There were no activities for adults. The resort consisted of 90% families and 10% couples. The resort was so cluttered and so small, by no means 4 1/2 stars.

I went immediately to the front desk to my CheapCaribbean representative to get someone on the phone. All I got was the runaround. This hotel was in the package and was told basically tough luck. I was screwed. In order for them to move me they wanted me to pay penalties and extra upgrade fees. Why should I pay for an upgrade fee to go to another hotel that was in the same category list? I said fine, fly me home. I was sending emails back-and-forth of our experience and what was going on at this resort. I was upset in how we were misled by the travel agent and your company. In order to fly home, it was going to cost us more money, so we decided to talk to the manager of the hotel directly.

The hotel manager, Engred, realized how distraught and unhappy we were. To make a long story short, Sunday, the manager told us she would check the reservations to see what other sister resort they had that they could move us to at no cost as a courtesy. At this time it was good news because I was on medication due to nerves. On Monday we were moved to Dreams Tulum that was a much larger resort and a accurate classification of a 4 1/2 star resort. We did have to pay for a taxi to bring us to the other resort. When we drove up it was much nicer and comparable to the other resorts I had been to and comparable to the other resorts that should have been originally in the list. This resort was definitely a 4 1/2 stars.

When we got there, reservation offered us a room upgrade for an extra $50 a night. I explained to her that I would like to see the two rooms first. With the room upgrade it would include a swim out, free spa entry, and something else I can't recall. The receptionist also knew the issues we had at the other resort and she said the room upgrade would also be free of children and quiet. When I got to the room with the swim out I called the front desk and asked if the swim out connected to the pool. I was told yes. (I'm sure that was just a miscommunication) I asked if she would be willing to do the upgrade for $25 a night instead of $50. She checked with the supervisor and said they weren't able to do that so I told her that was fine that we would stay in the original room.

As we were waiting for our luggage, we realized how hot the room was, but just figured it would take a little while to cool down. The receptionist called us back and said that the supervisor was willing to do it for $35 a night so I accepted it. I was told I would have to come down to the front desk and make the payment first and then they would switch me to the room. When I got down there to pay for the room upgrade all the other amenities were taken away, we were only paying for the room itself, and we couldn't get anything else that was mentioned earlier. I was about to decline because I thought that was a bait and switch, but decided to go ahead and do it anyway, because I thought it was cool to have a swim out that would lead to the pool area.

I also mentioned to the front desk that the room we were originally in, that I thought something was wrong with the air-conditioner because it was very hot in there and was blowing, but it wasn't cool. She thanked me for letting her know and that she would check in on it. When we got to the upgraded room we changed into our swimsuits immediately and to our disappointment the swim out just went around in a square. It was also full of children's toys and kids clothes lying all around this supposed adult only location. I called back to the front desk and told her that's not what we thought we were getting to just put us back in the original room.

When we got back to the room it was still hot and called front desk again and maintenance came. (Obviously they never went to check it when I mentioned it to her at noon when we arrived) Maintenance said that the thermostat was just set wrong. We got dressed and decided to go to the pool. Stayed at the pool for a few hours and decided to come in and get dressed and go to dinner and see what was available at the rest of the resort. The room was still hot so we called the front desk again to have maintenance come look at it while we were at dinner. We decided to have dinner at the French restaurant. Both my husband and I had identical meals, except for the entree and the appetizer, which consisted of fish and seafood which he had a bite of each.

When we got back to the room it was still hot. When we called the front desk (this is the 4th time now) they said they would move us to another room. When we got to the second room it smelled like sewer. The bellhop was still there so he called immediately to switch rooms again. Finally we got to a room that had an air-conditioner that works. But guess what, hot water doesn't work in this one and the water from the tub that comes out is low-pressure. How is that for a spa tub? Hot water didn't work in the shower either barely warm. At this point we were exhausted and decided to deal with it in the morning.

We proceeded to get ready for bed. It was a long day due to all the issues we had dealt with, and I was ready to just have a good time. I was looking forward to venturing out in this resort and seeing everything it had to offer. There were a few misadventures when we first arrived, but they were willing to make it better. Not sure where all the miscommunication was or if maintenance really knew what they were doing.

Almost immediately getting settled into the new room my husband had severe diarrhea. I gave him some Pepto and he started feeling a little better. Whatever it was he was able to get out pretty quickly. That is always an immediate sign of something bad that was eaten. To my surprise two hours later I began to have the same issue, only mine was worse. I was up all night vomiting and diarrhea. I had to get my husband to call the Front desk and ask if there was a doctor available. I was told she was an hour away, but she would be coming. When the doctor got there I was severely dehydrated and she recommended being transported by ambulance to a hospital to get fluids through an IV. She asked me to get my insurance in order. I explained to her that I purchased an extra travel insurance that covered this medical emergency. I pulled up my booking Email through CheapCaribbean that listed the On-call Insurance.

For almost 2 hours we called the numbers listed but could not get through (in the meantime the doctor gave me a shot to stop the diarrhea nausea and some antibiotics). We finally called CheapCaribbean and someone gave us another direct number. We were told that we had to pay upfront and that we would be reimbursed. They sent documents immediately on our email to submit a claim. We showed this to the resort doctor. She told us the closest hospital was 30 miles away in Playa del Carmen. The ambulance came to get me. (As all this was going on there were two maintenance guys that came in to try to fix the tub, my husband also got to talk to one of the maintenance guys because my husband is a builder and one of the maintenance guys told him they didn't get a chance to do the required maintenance that was necessary during their off-season which is why they were having a lot of trouble).

On the ride there the EMT could not even get an IV in my arm nor did the blood pressure machine work. When we got to the hospital the EMT made my husband go into deal with payment arrangements. But first the ambulance wanted $1,700. We confirmed with him $1,700 American dollars or pesos and he said American dollars. We explained to him we didn't have that type of money but we had this insurance that would cover it and all he needed to do was call and make a claim.

My husband went in the hospital with the insurance emailed paperwork, and the number for the hospital to call directly, and they said that they never could get through to anyone to confirm insurance. Meanwhile, I am in this ambulance with severe cramps and dehydration. The hospital refused to see me without upfront payment, my husband is arguing on the phone with a representative from the ambulance company that does not understand the situation. The ambulance would not take me back to the resort and almost wouldn't let me out of the ambulance and tried to keep my passport. We told them they would get paid but that the bill would have to be submitted to the insurance company, which we gave them all the information. My husband even told the insurance company on the phone before we left that this needed to be approved, that's why we were calling to get all this information before I was transported.

We had to take a taxi back to the resort. I'm barely hanging on but my fear and anger has given me an adrenaline rush which made me come to life for a bit. We tried to call CheapCaribbean back several times. Do you know how hard it is to make a call from Mexico to the states!! When we finally got a hold of CheapCaribbean, we told them we needed the next flight out, but to our surprise, their computer system was down and couldn't help us. I had to call United directly and we were able to get a flight out the next morning at 8 o'clock. We had to leave the resort at 3:45 in the morning for a transport back; my husband went to check out the night before so there would be no issues. To our surprise there was a $600 upgrade fee from one hotel to another on our bill. My husband spoke to the manager of the resort to let him know all the issues that I had transpired since we arrived in Mexico on Saturday.

Tell me why one 4 1/2 star supposedly hotel would charge for an upgrade to another 4 and half star hotel, which tells me the original resort is not a four and a half star and they're considered a low-grade hotel by this new hotel that we were transferred to. The manager didn't realize all the issues and of course waived the fees. He then explained the issues with the doctor and the transportation of ambulance and not being seen. The manager of the resort explained that there was a hospital only 5 miles away; the doctor did this because she works at that hospital at Playa Del Carmen (in other words a money racket). Why would you transport someone 30 miles away when there's a hospital 5 miles away, being in the condition I was in?

Not sure how I'm going to handle this going forward but someone is responsible for all these mishaps and what I dealt with and the refusal of help from CheapCaribbean. But now after everything that has transpired and the severity of the situation, I'm all of a sudden getting emails from the insurance company and CheapCaribbean. Sorry guys it's too late, but you should've helped me day one as a unsatisfied customer, especially being a frequent customer.

Cheap Caribbean is great during the booking process. Just don't expect good customer service or any support if anything goes wrong. Everything was fine for the most part until it came time to leave the resort. However, since our daughter had to have a separate flight, they did seem to stay confused about our transport back to the airport. We were able to straighten that out though. My husband went to them the day before we were to leave like we had been told to do. The girl wrote it down for our daughter to be at the lobby at 9:20. She said absolutely no later than 9:30. The bus leaves at 9:30. We get up there at 9:25. The bell hop takes her luggage to tag it. We look up and the bus is pulling away. There was supposed to be someone wearing the CC blue shirt in the lobby area checking off names. There wasn't. No one told us that was her bus. For all we knew that was an excursion bus.

After about 10 minutes and it wasn't there, we got concerned so my husband went to the CC desk to inquire about the bus. Sure enough, that was the bus she was suppose to be on. That's where customer service ended. We were both standing there talking about the driver leaving a few minutes early and she turned and walked off. We thought she was going back to her desk to try to work something out. After a few minutes she had not returned so my husband again went to her desk. She was sitting there helping someone else. My husband asked her about it and she said "I'm busy helping other people". He said "you were helping us"! She told him the bus left by 9:30, she will have to take a cab which will cost $70. Simple as that, no effort to help. She then proceeded to start lying. She said "I told you she needed to be here by 9:15." He walked over to where my daughter was and got the paper she had given him.

By this time I was at her desk. He came back, showed her the paper, and said "Is this your writing? it says 9:20 not 9:15! You are lying! On top of that, you said no later than 9:30, because that is when the bus will leave." She at first acted like she didn't know what he was talking about. Through the whole thing she kept repeating the driver left by 9:30. I finally said "You keep saying by 9:30. Leaving at 9:25 is leaving by 9:30, but it isn't leaving at 9:30!" There was a 10:15 bus which we asked for them to put her on that. She said we would have to get permission from the manager, because that bus has to stop at another hotel for more pick ups, so there is a chance she won't make it to the airport on time. "Okay, where is the manager?" "He's over there," and she pointed to the check out area. We go over there and there is no manager.

One of the hotel managers went to talk to her. Luckily my husband walked over there as well just in time to hear her lie to him also. She said "I told their daughter yesterday to be up here by 9:15." My husband said, "She was gone yesterday. She never even talked to you". The lies just kept racking up. Of course, CC doesn't work for the hotel so there really wasn't anything he could make her do. We proceeded to talk to her again about the 10:15 bus. Finally, she said again, "I'll have to talk to my manager." My husband asked where he was. "He's at the office." "Oh really, according to what you told us earlier, he should be right over there!" So, she "calls" her manager. Yeah, right! Yes she can get on the 10:15 bus but CC will not be held responsible if she doesn't make it on time for her flight. Well, guess what! That bus did not leave until 10:30. Now, my husband and I were scheduled to leave at 11:45.

Want to take a guess as to what time our bus finally left? It left at 12:00. So why her bus driver was in such a hurry that he left a few minutes early, we will never know. They schedule your buses to where you get to the airport 2 and 1/2 - 3 hours early. Our flight was at 3. We left at noon, rode 40 minutes, checked in, went through immigration, and were finished eating lunch by 1:15. Now I know there are times it can be much busier, but needless to say, our daughter got to the airport in plenty of time. Oh and guess what. Her bus did not stop at another hotel to pick more people up. Surprise surprise! Another lie out of her mouth. We didn't believe her even when she said it. The worse part of the whole thing was the fact she kept coming up with one lie after another.

The only reason we booked through CC was because they provided transportation to the resort and back to the airport. That saved us a couple hundred dollars. If not for that, there would not have been a penny difference in the cost through them and going directly through the hotel and airlines ourselves. I don't know that we will ever use CC again. They cannot be trusted.1

When we got to the resort, we asked the lady if calls back to the US was free and she said yes. So we double-checked by calling the operator at the resort and she said yes as well. We both called our parents to let them know we made it safe with only using less than 16 minutes per call. Within an hour the lady at the front desk called and said we owed 200 bucks. So we went down there and explained the situation. So for three days we went back and forth to the front to get it solved, only to be told by the boss that if he spoke with me, it would be unprofessional. We contacted CheapCaribbean about the situation and they told us that they couldn't help. I am very unsatisfied with how they helped us handle a situation.

Be very wary of this company. CheapCaribbean.com provided us the worst vacation we have ever had. Our experience started when stranded in the Houston Airport with no more flights arriving in Cozumel. Being that we booked our vacation through CheapCaribbean.com, that is who we called. The only response we received from their customer service was "Figure out a way to get there because you will not be refunded for your resort." We did finally arrive at our destination very late and without any of our luggage for the entire stay (plus four days after returning home), but the shuttle service we purchased through CheapCarribbean.com (whom they re-routed for us) never showed to pick us up. This company left us stranded in a foreign country with nothing.

As anyone would expect compensation from the vacation they purchased but never received, we contacted CheapCaribbean.com stating our case. That's when it became more apparent how corrupt this company actually is. We turned them into the BBB to see if they could help reach a resolution. CheapCaribbean.com went as far as to ask the resort we stayed at to write a letter that they were in communications with us daily, and that we indicated we were having a great time. Calling us Mr. and Mrs.; however, we are Mrs. and Mrs. Figure that one out! This company lies, and has the resorts in their collection lie on their behalf. It is a sick, twisted web they weave. DO NOT TRUST THEM, EVER!

A entire group of College Students booked a trip to Puerto Plata through Cheap Caribbean in May. We went for 7 days, we paid insurance in case something happened to us. On our return flight we had a stop over in New York. Once we landed we looked at the board to see that our connecting flight had been cancelled due to a rain storm. We had to get home so we had to rent a car and drive 4.5 hours.

We contacted Cheap Carribean and were told not to worry we would receive a complete refund for both the car and the flight. Today is September 14, 2015, 5 months later and I still have not received a refund after finally contacting Jet Blue yesterday. I was told by them that they refunded our money to Cheap Caribbean's credit card for all of us on June 4, 2015. Today I received a call from Melonie who said they were never notified of the credit and as far as the car rental, that has nothing to do with them! Also when I stated that the credit card I had used is no longer good she said well we will still credit that card with the money you will have to deal with the company. Are you serious!!!

Why can't they just give me a check for the amount that I am owed... They have been gaining interest on all of our money since June 4th and had no intentions of returning this money until I called. I asked Melonie to speak with a Manager, she said she was a Manager and then asked her to speak to someone higher and she tells me there is no one higher than her. That's a bunch of bull and she knows it. I will reach out to Corporate and let them know what transpired!!! Still no money back. This company is a RIPOFF. BEWARE!!! By the way one of the girls had bedbugs and was getting bit at the hotel we stayed at. Disgusting!!!

We booked our vacation through cheapCaribbean.com. All the pictures of our accommodations were beautiful. When we arrived at the resort the realization of what we were told and showed online became a reality. We walked into our room after spending a half hour at the check in desk with no AC. The room was smaller than a single motel 6 that was decorated in 1970, shower only and a toilet so close to the wall in front of it to make it impossible to use unless you were a child, the dresser had 6 small drawers to put all our clothes in and 3 of the drawers did not work.

The Rest of the resort is beautiful but CheapCaribbean doesn't show you this. My wife and I had three choices at this point. GO Home, deal with the junk room for 3200$ or spend more money to get what we should have already got. We ended up becoming shareholders to make sure we enjoyed our vacation. WE WILL NEVER USE CHEAPCARIBBEAN.COM EVER AGAIN AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

Our stay at Iberostar Paraiso Lindo August 27-31, 2015 for our anniversary! From the moment we arrived at the airport, someone at the counter called us over to try to sell us a 90 minute presentation (I already know it was to sell us a time share), so we told them we were not interested. They kept following us as we walked, asking why, but why, but why, very persistent, to the point of getting us annoyed. Leave us alone! We just want to enjoy our vacation and not be pressured into anything.

We arrive at the hotel, checked in, and were told which way our room was. This was a long distance walk from the lobby and there were no bus boys around to help us with our luggage. We get into our room, it is full of mosquitoes but we didn't think anything of it as we were just settling in. It was extremely warm in the room and it had a musty old smell. The bathroom had a weird flush system. You had to literally hold it for it to flush correctly. The blower was terrible (rusty). It was like a vacuum blower where when you disconnect it from the wall it doesn't stop blowing till you hang it back up. No high, low, medium, hot, cold, like a normal hair blower. It wasn't long enough to hold in my left hand and it was awkward to try and blow my hair; terrible!!!

The furniture, very antiquated. We asked them to please lower the AC as it was extremely warm and hard to sleep at night from the noisy air. The iron board was super old and wobbly, and the iron was so noisy, and didn't keep the water in. It sounded like a moped. Geez! They gave us a WiFi username and password which barely worked. WIFI WAS HORRIBLE!!! I can get on 5 min, it would disconnect, and took forever to get on again... very frustrating!!! We settle in and go to the concierge. They inform us about a sinkhole that had opened up on the main drag that takes you to all of the excursions. They told us all of the excursions were cancelled. So we figured, ok, well I'm sure there's plenty to do in the hotel.

We keep walking and find another concierge, and this one actually talked to us and booked an excursion for us. WTF. The pool was nice but never any seats available. Everyone had their towels on the seats and we would just put our bag down near the area where we would get into the pool. The water, piss warm. The spa closed early so we never got to enjoy that. Reservations had to be made every night for our stay there (so it's kind of stressful knowing you had to make it back in time from an excursion) or we lose the reservation. Every time we tried, they told us most every place was always booked, and only could only get in at 8:30 pm or 9 pm. When we would get to the restaurant and ask the waiters if they had a big crowd at 6:30, they would say NOT AT ALL. Are you kidding me?

We took a bus twice into Playa Del Carmen and the bus had poor A/C and was dirty. The ride there was not a beautiful scenic one. Quite the contrary. We try going to a bank to change a $100 bill, or some $20 and nobody has change. It's a conspiracy. They want $5 tips and $10 tips, so they don't want tourists to give them $1 bills, so they tell everyone they have no change. How do you figure that a BANK, An HSBC FRIGGIN BANK, doesn't have change. That is ridiculous!!! I said to the teller, "I'm not asking you to change a million dollars, I'm asking to change two $20 bills". She shook her head no, and I stormed out of there.

Shortly after, we go to a Walmart to purchase a few souvenirs. The cashiers are downright rude and unhelpful. We purchased some shot glasses and she didn't even bag them, let alone wrap them in newspaper or something. It was almost as if she was bothered by us. Really? Is this your customer service face? The food in one restaurant was delicious, the French restaurant called El Museo (French food with a Spanish name). The Japanese restaurant was also good. A restaurant called El Fogon was ok. Very warm as most all restaurants were because they all keep their doors open and their AC is not good. I could see flies all over the food and that was not very appetizing.

The beach, stinky and with lots of seaweed. Didn't see any beach with aqua blue-green waters as in the photos. Guys constantly coming up to you trying to sell you cigars and beach clothing. Persistent as well... The only truly enjoyable part about this vacation was the Canopy Extreme Excursion (Selvatica). The guys there were amazing the way they handled everything. Very personable, hospitable, funny, and kept us informed at all times. That was the ONLY highlight of this vacation. By the time we left, I had 30 bites, my husband had about 10 bites.

We are not sure whether they were just mosquito bites or a combination of bed bug bites as well. My entire body is covered. Personally, as my first trip to Mexico, I can tell you we will never return to Mexico for all their rudeness, the lies, and overall customer service. Not to mention that it was not worth the amount of money spent at this supposed 4.5-star hotel.

The day before we traveled, we received a call that we were going to be upgraded at no additional cost. I checked the original place we were staying, it was WAY NICER than where we stayed, so to me it was a downgrade. Thank you CheapCaribbean.com. ;-( Who rates these? I wish I can get a partial refund but since this is not possible, I am going to post this on every website I can to discourage people from going there. It is nothing like the pictures online. Very deceiving. I have pictures they will appreciate. Sincerely, DISAPPOINTED WITH MEXICO!!! NEVER EVER TO GO BACK!!! NEVER TO RECOMMEND TO MY WORSE ENEMY!!! BEWARE THIS HOTEL. Oh and finally - beware of a store called "EL WINIK" in Playa Del Carmen. They ripped us off big time. Selling us a gold bracelet that we found later to be gold plated.

If I could rate Presidential Suites resort negative stars I would. First off let me say that this was my honeymoon and it was a nightmare. As in previous postings you get sold everywhere you go from the timeshare to VIP. VIP gives you access to all the restaurants and both pools for a mere $10,000. One of the front desk associates pulled my husband and I out of quality time in the sun to sell us a timeshare on our second day (first full day). After I nicely told him we were spending quality honeymoon time by the pool he insisted on all 3 of us going down by the pool. Weird right? This was the same salesman that I heard a few hours previous talking about payday on Friday and he was clearing $4000.00 US dollars after taxes.

So my first am I woke up to a cockroach spinning on its back on the living room floor. When I approached the front desk they acted like I brought the roach. The food was as terrible as the customer service. The wait staff refused to serve us by the pool. Lunch starts at 11 am but they will not start serving food until they feel like it. Some days it was 11:15 am and others it was 12:30 pm. My husband did not eat the buffet, the only option for breakfast. The best part of our trip was the friends we made down there and they ended up cutting their trip short due to food poisoning. They were also on their honeymoon and had to pay $400 US dollar for a doctor to come out and after that it took him 4 hours to come. She had a 103.5 fever and her options were paying $2,000.00 US dollars to go to the Dominican Republic hospital or book an early emergency flight home.

If you do not eat the resort food you have no other option and you cannot leave the grounds to visit a grocery store or gas station. Your suite will be fully stocked with microwave, stove and dishes but you will not have any food to cook with so it is for show. As stated in some previous reviews we lost electricity as well. The entire resort lost electricity for a day. They play music at 8 am so do not plan on sleeping in or waking up peacefully. The elevators were out of service so we had to use the stairs which had candles lit so you could see enough to walk but not the cockroaches on the wall.

The ocean that is at Presidential Suites is not the ocean on the brochure. It is the Atlantic Ocean. You are not near the Caribbean water. There are piles of seaweed and the water is not clear. You cannot lay and relax on this beach. There are people trying to sell you adventures and braid your hair. They will scream until you answer them and when you answer "No thank you" they continue with massage and a wink. The only pool you are allowed in is attached to the children's pool.

I have pictures of the cockroaches in our room, the resort, the broken elevator signs and candles lit in stairwells among other things. Please feel free to email me for pictures or additional feedback. I had some friends and family members visit the Sandals resort and Iberostar and they had wonderful things to say about their vacation, so maybe spend a little more and have a better experience. I also spoke with 3 different Cheap Caribbean representative and they were all very nice but could not really help me do much as by the time they returned my call my vacation had two days left.

After multiple hours of calling CheapCaribbean.com and asking the resort employees if there was any possible way to upgrade, we were told no: that CheapCaribbean.com contract does not have access to the VIP Beach, Presidential Suites pool area, and the VIP Pool, only the groupon.com contract has access to these areas. This trip was planned to celebrate my daughter's graduation from nursing school, imagine the heat I took from my wife and daughter thinking they had access after CheapCaribbean.com said they did; not only to find out that we do not, and that CheapCaribbean.com customers never gets access to these areas.

Since I could not get a resolution via CheapCaribbean.com or the resort management, I went online and purchased the same vacation as promised via CheapCaribbean.com, but I used groupon.com. Once I purchased the groupon.com package, the six of us received the correct rooms, beautiful rooms with marble floors and shower, a nice television, working AC, kitchen and a dining room and access to the VIP pool, Presidential Suites Pool, and the VIP Beach. Thank God for groupon.com.

I tried to book the trip via cc.com but price was change pretty much in next few seconds and price jump was almost $600 for trip. I contact their customer service and got in touch with lady "**" who was super professional and try her best to book a flight-hotel for us but she was unable to give me a same price which was advertised about 10 min ago and she was blaming on airline not hotels since hotels are under contract. Anyway I told her my trip/budget and she told me she will contact me if something change in meantime but unfortunately nothing change in past 7 days except cost went even more up which is understandable.

Anyway in meantime some other employee ** from cc.com contact me via email about the trip and so I told him what I was looking for. Next day I send him and ** what I found on Orbitz.com and price difference and few hours later I got rude emails from him about his commission and how he is 100% commission based employee and why I contacted and who is **. He basically told me if I want to save money I have to book through him not anyone else or he won't help me since he isn't getting paid for booking and his job is to make money not help other employee make commission and he get nothing...

Anyway contact her back, told her about "**" emails and she told me she will talk to manager on shift and let me know soon as she has some info. 5 hours later I had to email her to find out what's going on with trip/booking so she told me Supervisor declined to help which is super stupid in my books. They made mistake in booking (but blamed United), then rude salesman is worried more about his paycheck than customer who will make him earn his paycheck and supervisor who don't care. Way to go guys. I booked 3 trips with you guys and I will do my best to stay away from your company and word will get around. Hope someone from cc.com will read this complaint. This was my first time using CheapCaribbean and first time out of the country. I had an absolutely positive experience!! Unlike the negative reviews written. I read every page when booking my trip for my wife and I as I have never booked a trip like this before. I had just got my passport 2 years ago so I made sure hers was still valid (common sense). I chose to get the extended insurance just in case something happened. (Extra $100 ea but worth it.) As I booked our trip 6 months in advanced, I didn't book any excursions through the website. I waited till we got to Cabo San Lucas. Glad I did because there are companies there at the hotel and you get better deals and more info on the excursion. All in all I would absolutely recommend this company to my family and friends and anybody else that asks. I plan on using them again on my next trip.

Disappointing experiences. First off, when I booked the vacation initially online, I received an error message that my booking had not gone through. It's a good thing I didn't try to redo the booking and called Customer Service instead. As it turns out, my booking had gone through and I would have been double-charged, which apparently happens quite often from what the customer service agent said. Anyway, she said she'd manually send me my itinerary and, when I didn't receive it in the next couple days, I called back and had another agent resend it.

Now onto the real disappointment. I made my booking about 2 weeks ago and now, the exact same vacation I purchased - same dates, same hotel, same flights, same length - has dropped $80 per person. Because it didn't drop in 24 hours of my booking, they say their hands are tied. After much discussion, I gleaned that it was the flight that had drastically dropped and that CheapCaribbean actually charters the flights so the airline doesn't have my money yet, nor do they even have my information.

When all is said and done, the fact of the matter is CheapCaribbean dropped the price (not the airline) and because they dropped it more than 24 hours after my booking, they refuse to do anything to honor the new price. I inquired if they were able to extend my vacation a day for the same price in lieu of refunding and they informed me that no, that would require me to pay a $120 per person flight change fee (remember, the airline has none of this information) in addition to any cost difference in the actual flight. So disappointed there wasn't even the slightest bit of effort made to keep their customer happy, if not by offering a refund of the difference, then by adding on an extra day to make up for the difference.

I have to say that ultimately, this is my fault, BUT one simple fix/addition on CC website could have saved me $700. During booking, they ask for passport number, but not passport expiration date. I only discovered that my son's passport had expired the previous month when we went online to check in for the flight. It was Sunday, and flight was at 6:50AM Monday. We called customer service, held a looooooong time, to find that there was nothing they could do but ask hotel for a later arrival time. Arrangements with airline had to be worked out for my son by me. Airline wanted $335 PER PERSON to change flight to later that day, which is ridiculous. We were going to be at passport office in DC at 6AM although they don't open til 8 so we could get a new passport.

Once we heard the airline fees, we decided we could not go. The passport would have been over $200 also. Called CC back and held a loooooooong time to advise that we had purchased the travel insurance which is supposed to be "cancel for any reason and get 75% back". Well, there is a catch ( surprise!!!!). You have to cancel 72 hrs before the trip. Here we were with less than 24 hrs to pull a rabbit out of a hat. Were they nice? Sure! Accommodating? NO! They would issue a $500 travel credit on trip I had paid $2100 for.... not! My son is such a trooper! He told me to go on and he would stay with relatives so I was not all of the money.

Now I plan to take him back in August to see what he missed, costing me more money. Will I use CC again? Nope. All it took was a field that asked for "passport expiration date" and I would have had plenty of time to get it fixed. Even better, the system should not allow you to book the trip without a valid passport. That would be true customer service. It's about the money for both CC and the airline. The airline would rather have empty seats than make a concession on the change fees. I find that unconscionable. There you have it. Decide for yourself if it's worth it. For me, after the fact, I found that booking separately the hotel, and then the flight, I would have paid less.

If I was able to give zero stars I would. We booked our honeymoon through the website online. I called right after as I was unsure of booking and was nervous I did not do something right (I have never booked a trip before). Was never advised of insurance offered in case of cancellation. Needless to say, we had to cancel two weeks before the trip due to unforeseen circumstances. We want to go trust me, if we could we would. We called to see what they could do, NOTHING is the answer. They basically told us we were out of $2000, instead of simply charging whatever fees we would incur for cancelling which would have been fine. They told us the only thing they can do is charge us all those fees, $200 alone for each flight and $100 for the trip and issue us a credit, which unfortunately we will not be able to use as we explained we cannot make a trip at this time, the credit is only good until a year from the date we booked.

To make things worse when we spoke to them on the phone to cancel they were beyond rude and talked down to us. I have never dealt with a company like this, no wonder I see so many unhappy customers. We explained we cannot go on a trip by that time, we offered to pay the fees they charge and to get the rest as a refund, they declined. Silly me, I went for the cheap service I should have paid more and been protected. I plan on traveling when things get better and I will absolutely never use this site and I have told my friends and family as well. I have family that travels more than a few times a year and I guess I should have asked them because they advised as well they had bad experiences anytime they tried to use this site.

I understand we have to pay fees for cancelling but to just take the full purchase price and not refund anything is completely wrong. If we could go we would go but we are 100% unable to go at this time. If you want to grow your company, think of the customer first. I am only one person and I know my review will probably never even be read by this company and I hardly ever complain but for a young couple just starting their lives and having to basically eat $2000, it is a very hard thing. I honestly hope I help at least one person in avoiding losing so much money.

Everybody knows that booking a vacation for a family is so difficult, scary, big decision, money, hotel, flights, transportation and on and on. Well, I feel they take advantage of new travelers. They said ocean view, it wasn't. It was garden view. Then, I lost a day because I flew out at 11:30 pm and then had layovers twice, a total of 5 1/2 hours. We arrived in Jamaica the next day around 3:00 pm. I assumed that 1 baggage and 1 carry on. They forgot to mention baggage, if they did, it was very brief. When I called about luggage, they had no idea and referred me to airlines. But they booked this reservation but have no answers for the service they offer. Crazy.

I WILL NEVER EVER EVER BOOK ANYTHING WITH THEM. NEVER. They take advantage and forgets to mention the important pros and cons to my trip. Customer service is rude and on hold for hours. Airlines same wait time, long. This trip was horrible, I choose the wrong place to travel. I PAID 3,900.00 to go from San Francisco to Montego Bay Jamaica, for 7 days. Reality, IT FELT LIKE I LOST A WHOLE DAY. IT WAS AN all inclusive. Hotel was clean but the staff was so rude especially the women. RUDE!! They beg you for money for everything. If they bring you a fork to eat with, they want a tip. If you don't tip, they treat you bad and crappy drinks and slow service. Horrible. How much money you spend on tips. You feel pressured to tip them, they don't go away. Airport was the worst for begging for money. Horrible.

I paid for the insurance they offer. DON'T GET IT, IT’S A RIP OFF AGAIN. THEY ONLY TELL YOU WHAT THEY WANT. My luggage was left in Charlotte, NC. It would be delivered early morning, that they would call. They did at 10:30 am and my luggage was lost in San Francisco. We waited 2 1/2 hours, it finally was found. I called them, they told me that my bags would have to lost for at least 2 days. Ugh, I was so mad.

Our "ocean view" was a view of trees, with the ocean horizon barely visible. Our queen mattress was TWO TWIN MATTRESSES pushed together!

We obviously complained at the front desk. There is a big discrepancy between what we booked and what we received. After a long discussion, it became apparent that cheapcaribbean.com was at fault, not the hotel. Cheapcaribbean.com advertised one thing, and sold us another. In the hotel database, our room was listed as "partial ocean view" while our cheapcaribbean.com confirmation had listed "ocean view".

It's no wonder they could offer rooms at the prices they do; they advertise one thing and sell another. If I had known ahead of time what the room and location was actually like, I would have spent my money elsewhere. I'd be very, very careful when booking with this website. Perhaps use it to browse destinations and get ideas, and then book with the actual hotel you're planning to stay at. Avoid cheapcaribbean.com altogether!

I bought the standard insurance policy that they force you to purchase. A few weeks later, I found out I was pregnant and ended up losing my job due to being extremely sick during my first trimester. I was in no shape physically, and now financially, to travel. I tried to cancel my trip & get a refund of the 2,000 deposit I had put down, and was told that because I had only purchased the standard insurance policy, I could not get a refund.

My pregnancy & me losing my job were not good enough reasons for a refund. They kept all my money for 'fees' and told me I had a credit of $365 that I had to use within a year. I called just a few minutes ago to find out about the credit since I have had my daughter and am no longer pregnant, and was told it expires in 2 days. So of course I can't use it. My first experience with Cheap Caribbean was actually a good one. My girlfriend and I went to Mexico with them. Everything went well. Had a great time. This time, we went to Punta Cana- big mistake anyway. The trip documents were well done, as before and the staff was nice in their diligence to help us decide where, when and how to go. They always told us to call with any issues or concerns.

We used a "seas the day" option. We would be informed of our hotel about 8 days prior to leaving. A 5 star hotel guarantee. The hotel, The Breathless Resort and Spa, was new and clean. However: The hotel was very loud, with numerous drunks and banging "music" all day and night. Sleeping was not a priority there. We slept very little as a result of the noise in the hallways all night. The food was hideous. Both of us, and some of our friends we met there, became very ill with... gastric issues. I have had this for several days now. Very painful as well. Several people told us of bed bugs. In addition, many guests came down with a nasty head cold or virus, including me. Many of the staff were coughing all over the place and many seemed ill themselves.

Upon return to the US, I contacted Cheap Caribbean. I was met on the phone by an initially rude female who actually tried to brow beat me with questions. She told me there was nothing they could do for us and simply left me on the line. I asked for a supervisor. One did not answer and I was directed to the insurance company, whom we had purchased travel insurance with. They were very nice but informed be they would be happy to initiate a claim for bills incurred but not a voucher. In short, Cheap Caribbean is unwilling to even listen to any negative issues about the trip.

Later, a nice lady from Cheap Caribbean called me to rate my experience with Cheap Caribbean. I was sleeping and asked that she contact me later. All in all: You get what you pay for. They are not a "terrible" company. However, they are an internet company and have poor customer service. I would absolutely suggest that no one use them. Use a travel agent whom you can see and sit down with. Cheap Caribbean is a huge sales driven company that plays the percentages that most people will have no complaints or follow up on the ones they do have.

The short version of the below story is: Avoid Cheapcaribbean.com as if your time and money depended on it, because they do. We booked a family trip to Riviera Maya through Cheap Caribbean, mainly because their prices seemed to be lower than anything else we could find out there. They also offered a charter flight from Pittsburgh, where if we booked on our own we'd have to take a one stop. That's where the good news stops with this company.

We paid $100 for a private shuttle from the airport, and another $100 for a private shuttle to return to the airport. When we arrived in Cancun, there was about an hours wait for our shuttle. We stood in the heat where the Cheap Caribbean representative told us to wait. But okay, eventually the van came for us and we got to the resort. We were also told at the airport to meet with Raymundo from Cheap Caribbean once we reached the resort, and we could schedule our return shuttle, as well as any other activities we may want.

So we did meet with Raymundo who was very nice. He told us whatever time we wanted to return to the airport was fine, and we asked for 6:45am. He said no problem, and to consider it done. Unfortunately, it wasn't done. Something to point out here is that Raymundo wore a name tag for Cheap Caribbean, Amstar and Apple Vacations. He told us it's all the same. More on that and the botched return shuttle (and Cheap Caribbeans failure to make good on the problem) in a minute.

First it is worth noting that after five days at the resort we were locked out of our room (we returned from the pool to find none of the keys worked). I walked a considerable distance in the large resort to find out what happened and get a new key. I was told the reservation only came through as five days and not seven (which is odd because I'm reasonably certain on check-in they acknowledged seven days). But now they said Cheap Caribbean had only sent it in as five days.

They asked me to go back to the room and get proof that I had booked for seven days (that would have been a good trick since the room was locked and they weren't offering a new key). Fortunately we had two rooms and our son's hadn't locked the glass door to the swim up pool outside their room. I had to go back to their room where I fortunately was able to find copies of a reservation document. I took it back to the front desk to get Cheap Caribbeans mistake fixed. In total this wasted about 90 minutes.

Back to the shuttle issue. On the day of our departure we got a call around 6:05am from the driver saying he was waiting and we needed to be out front in five minutes. We explained that booked for 6:45am and he said this was incorrect. We were still in the process of getting ready, so we hurried as much as we could and got to the front around 6:30. He was long gone, and left a note saying he had waited five minutes past our departure time and left.

This was clearly wrong and a contradiction of what we were told by Raymundo, who was representing Cheap Caribbean and Amstar (the transfer company) simultaneously. I'm not sure where the fault lies, but certainly not with us. We could not get the shuttle back and since we needed to catch our flight, we took a taxi at a cost of $120. I kept the receipt for that, and when I got home I explained the situation to Cheap Caribbean. All I asked for was a refund of the $100 shuttle charge. They took over three weeks to investigate just to tell us: "Per the information that we have received from Management at Amstar, they are confirming that your scheduled pick-up time for Saturday was at 6:05AM and no changes or deviations were made for that time."

Well, if that were the case, why would Raymundo tell us we could have any time we wanted? 6:05 was unnecessarily early so we were comfortable with 6:45. I once again explained the conversation with Raymundo and was told: "We apologize for any incorrect information that you received from Raymundo, however this gentleman is not an employee of our company. CheapCaribbean.com only has one employee based out of the Cancun area and her name is Toni. More than likely, this gentleman is an employee of Amstar."

Please be advised that Amstar is an independent contractor and not an agent or employee of CheapCaribbean.com. Any Amstar service person is not a representative or agent of CheapCaribbean.com and as such, CheapCaribbean.com is not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, representations, warranties, breaches or negligence of any transfer company representatives.

Really? So you have people who do not work for you or represent you wearing name tags with the Cheap Caribbean name and telling clients it's all the same Cheap Caribbean, Amstar, Apple Vacations. Clearly these companies are at a minimum partnering with each other and clearly they have people at the resorts representing all three companies at the same time.

My problem here isn't with Raymundo, who was very nice and while he may have made a mistake in setting the correct pickup time, the point is it was Cheap Caribbean who took the money for this service, and it was Cheap Caribbean who should have refunded it. How they deal with Amstar is irrelevant to me. Instead they refused and hid like cheap cowards behind another company.

The word Cheap in their name describes them accurately. They refused to correct a mistake that was obviously theirs because they couldn't part with the money they owed me. Although the dollar amount we lost was relatively small, this is clearly not a company you can trust (and based on their incompetence at registering us for the correct number of days, they are a little frightening to trust as an agent). What if the problem were bigger? If they won't correct a $100 mistake, are they going to correct larger ones? From other reviews online, the answer is clearly no, and they are a company I would never use again, nor recommend. Book through a reputable agent or book direct, but avoid these characters like the plague.

We booked a charter flight and hotel vacation two months ago from Chicago to Costa Rica. This week we received an email from CC saying that the departure and arrival times for the return flight had been moved back 3 HOURS. Now 4 members of our party of 11 can't make connecting flight and will have to incur change fees and added costs of 1120 plus hotel as flight gets in too late to get out that night. CC has been unwilling to help us find alternative flights or cover any of the change penalty. They also would not respond when we emailed to ask for email address of head of customer service.

I have read many complaints from other customers regarding their experience(s) with CheapCaribbean.com on this website. I would like to personally thank Jeffrey, Erika, Cherish, and Janelle who all work for this company for their professionalism, their abilities to think outside of the box, to be able to listen to the customer, problem solve, and most importantly.....come up with a solution that worked for everyone! I would like to suggest to people that when you talk to other people and would like them to help you, talk to them with respect and be calm.....it gets you a lot further with people than just being angry about everything! Thank you again to the all the people that helped me out!

Lack of information. I booked vacations to Riu Montego Bay Resort. Almost Same menu every day, same activities, just some. Native People offering any kind of drugs at the beach every afternoon. Taxi drivers making pressure on you if you just try to see was outside, but same resort property. Me and my wife tired and bored. I called Cheap Caribbean to change to Riu Montego Bay at Ocho Rios. After one day waiting to return the call, they said that they are not going to give me any credit for the portion of the vacation not used and if I want transfer to another location in Jamaica I have to pay again the full amount. The worst happened when we take a taxi and went to Downtown for shopping. A local guy took with violence the gold chain from my wife neck. No police around. No previous advice from the hotel or taxi driver. No local channels are allowed inside the hotel room for the obvious reason. They don't want you see the criminal activity at the local news. The a at the resort was not working properly. This was the worst vacation in my life. Never again come back to this hell place.

We booked our vacation through cheapcaribbean. We booked ocean front and preferred club. We arrived at the hotel, seemed nice. We were given our room key. When we got to our room by a elevator that may hold 4 people, we didn't have a oceanfront, we had ocean view. The preferred club was not open as many of the restaurants were not open every night. We went to desk and ask for different room. They said that only half the hotel was open and we had the best room. Service was great, Management sucked. Ask front desk to move us to different hotel and they said they couldn't.

We returned home, called Cheap Caribbean several time. They stated that we would receive a call back in 24 hrs (not). All we were asking for is the money we paid extra for the ocean front room and the preferred club. Was told that was not going to happen, not their fault that it was not open. You had it on your page, we paid you for it and I feel like they owe us the money. So booking through a agent with this company will not get you any benefits or help. Do not use them, as the name of the company states cheap.

I purchased a trip to Cabo San Lucas from CheapCaribbean.Com on 09/15/14. The trip was scheduled for the middle of November. My friends had already purchased theirs from Expedia. Well the 15th is the day a Category 4 hurricane directly hit Cabo. I waited 3 days to see the pictures of the devastation and destruction of the town. My friend called me on the 18th and said that Expedia had called them and offered a full refund to them because of the amount of damage Cabo sustained, so they took it.

I called CheapCaribbean and asked for a refund and was denied. They said they are not nor will they offer refunds, all sales were final. I said have you seen the pictures? The town is destroyed. It will take a year to repair the damages if not longer. I was not going to Cabo, on vacation, 2 months after a category 4 hurricane. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they would not connect me. The lack of service and greed of this company is appalling! They had a chance to do the right thing and they chose not to. DO NOT USE CHEAPCARIBBEAN.COM. Luckily the credit card I used has automatic travel insurance but I have to file a claim and am not sure if I will receive all of my money back.

CheapCaribbean is the most dishonest, unethical company I have ever encountered. They claim they provide a service but I still cannot figure out what that service actually is. In September 2013, I booked a Puerto Rico vacation for two with the "Beach Experts" at CheapCaribbean two days in advance of departure. I trusted the agent and asked him repeatedly what the weather was like in San Juan. He told me repeatedly it was beautiful at the time of booking and the forecast was sunny. Within hours of booking the vacation a friend advised me that there had been a major tropical depression with flooding, etc. over the past few days and forecast for a MAJOR tropical storm (Tropical Storm Gabrelle) in a day or two. No one in there right mind would schedule a beach vacation during a tropical storm. I tried to cancel the vacation within hours of booking but CheapCaribbean would not refund my money.

When I tried to reschedule the trip next week, CheapCaribbean repeatedly tried steer me into significantly more expensive vacations thinking that they had me at a disadvantage and refused to honor their original price. In addition, their website went down repeatedly making rescheduling impossible. After 10 exhausting and exasperating hours negotiating with CheapCaribbean, I finally gave up and booked essentially the same trip for next week on Travelocity for about 20% less. Took a total of about 20 minutes.

CheapCaribbean refused to refund my money and only gave me a credit minus several hundred dollars penalty fees. While filing for a chargeback with VISA, CheapCaribbean told them (in writing) that one reason they were not refunding the money was that they had to pay penalty fees from the Hilton Hotel and American Airlines. Later I received written confirmation from both the Hilton and American Airlines that CheapCaribbean was charged NO PENALTY FEES whatsoever due to the extreme bad weather. When confronted with this, CheapCaribbean sheepishly offered to give a credit for the entire amount with no penalty fees. They still would not and have not refunded my money of almost $2,000. I am taking them to court for misrepresentation, and a few other things.

It is one thing for a travel agency to book a vacation far in advance and the weather unexpectedly takes a turn for the worst at the time of departure. It is quite another portray yourself as the "Beach Experts", blatantly lie to your clients in order to book a vacation while the storm is currently in progress (with a tropical cyclone forecast 2 days later) and withhold that information from your client so you would gain a commission. They repeatedly lied to my credit card company and us about numerous issues. I have heard this complaint from many others about this company. Again, this is the most dishonest, unethical company I have ever encountered.

Purchased a vacation package at what we thought was a discount from Cheap Caribbean. Travelocity has the same flights and a upgraded room for 450 bucks less a few weeks later. If they really were the best, they would make changes if there were price drops. Can't even upgrade to the better room for less than 1300 dollar fee lol. Not going to use these guys again, will just go through Travelocity. Used them before and never had issues, good prices that aren't undercut a week later.

Family was disappointed with the services provided by Lifestyle Resort. Service was very poor - dirty towels, not well kept rooms. Customer service very poor. There is not caring whatsoever. They sold us all inclusive and once the customers are there, they clearly tell travelers, "It's all we have. We are sorry." When they offer drinks, the presentation is poor (plastic cups), very low class service. We left the resort one day prior our due date.
