It's been more than 4 months since I am requesting a refund. For a single refund, I regularly called Air India Customer care multiple times, Emailed Air India customer care (contactus@airindia.in), Filled the Feedback form but they haven't taken any action. It's been acknowledged for the past 4 months but they have decided to trouble the customers for no reason. Still waiting.

Flew Air India twice. First was horrible (gave food 1 time in a 12 hour flight). Second was horrendous. - Lost my baggage, been trying to contact them for 5 days, with no response on either call or mail. Would never fly again even if I have to pay double the amount.

I will list each stage of the experience flying AI 188 (YYZ>DEL) business class as below:

1. Ease of booking: No problem except the Travel Agent could not insert your frequent flyer number (if outside of Air India) during ticket booking. Had to do so at the time of check in to ensure that the United frequent flyer was printed on the Boarding Pass. Recommendation: Air India should ensure that any Star Alliance number can be inserted into the booking.

2. Check-In: Almost trouble free - the staff at Toronto was diligent in verifying vaccination status and RT-PCR test results. Recommendation: Staff must be trained to insert the Frequent Flyer number from other star alliance airlines;

3. Boarding: Delay and nothing but chaos! There was no separate queue for business class. The counter was surrounded by passengers and the boarding was not started at the scheduled time. Recommendation: The reputation of Air India can be enhanced a lot if they learn to keep time!

4. Flight: Smooth flight, great Boeing 777 take off and landing and great meals! However, after the first 2 hours, the toilets were not looked after and supplies were not re-stocked; Recommendation: For a 24 hour flight, it is important that the flight cabin crew maintains the hygiene standards and restocks the supplies!

5. Staff Courtesy: Extraordinary courtesy by cabin crew from start until the end of flight. Very helpful to the families with kids and the senior citizens as well.

6. Air India Lounge at Delhi airport: Very little supplies and hardly any variety of food. Cramped space during the pandemic. Recommendation: Air India should learn from other Business Class lounges and upgrade their Lounge.

Note: I flew from Delhi to Mumbai after the 14 hour flight from Toronto to Delhi. It was another chaotic boarding with 1 person at the boarding point and a lot of interference by Air India non-flying crew members as they tried to get best seats for themselves and their family members having passes. My own business class seat was changed in favor of a Captain's daughter flying on the flight. Recommendation: Air India can do much better by not disturbing or bumping around paying passengers in favor of non-paying ones. Delhi Airport: Crowd management can be improved a lot, especially during these pandemic times.

Very very bad customer service. Not at all helpful. Not all good people. Not helpful people. My mother had a travel today and yesterday. When I called Air India office the lady told me my mom do not require anything just Pcr test negative and fully vaccination card. When we went on airport standing there for 2 hours the people on air india counter telling them that locator form is mandatory. We told them we tried. They saying, "We can't do anything." They didn't even bother to allow them as they are old and we said we gonna book it and everything but the people on air india counter on goa airport the ladies just started to shout and saying the counter is closed and made my mom go out. This is a ** service. They are sitting on the counter to help people who doesn’t know. If they are only doing this then what is the use and all.

Recently I traveled with Air India and experienced a worst experience with this airline. We were travelling from Mumbai to Goa and due to congestion in traffic it almost took us 2 hrs for travelling a distance of 8 KM to Terminal 2. The flight was at 9 PM and we reached at the desk at 8.15 PM. The Air India Personnel rudely told that we cannot be allowed to board the flight as they we are late and have not done the web check in. It was surprising that though we had done the web check in it was not showing on their portal. Later I have checked with many travellers/passengers who informed me that the Airline Portal always had some issues while web check in and though you complete web check in it will not show in their portal.

Finally, all the personnel to whoever I spoke instead of helping me out from this situation was blatantly blaming me for my delay in reaching the airport, and made sure that I should not board in the flight. Another harassment started when I went to the booking office to book the tickets for another flight of Air India. The booking officer on other side of the glass/window was asking me to speak loudly as he was not able to hear my requests made. I kept on shouting and informed him of my desire to book a tickets to Goa. He somehow understood my requests and started browsing the portal for five minutes and got up to make some phone calls. I asked him what is happening ? to which he replied that he is enquiring with his superiors for booking tickets. After five minutes I lost my patience and left the window.

Secondly, their call centres/Customer care are closed after 18:00 Hrs. A recorded message will be heard continuously after 18:00 HRs that " you are in queue", but no one will respond from the other side nor the IVR facility will be available. I travelled with Indigo so many times but the way they help me out during the distress is commendable. In similar situation at Chandigarh airport when I reached just before 30 minutes of scheduled flight, they made sure that I boarded in the flight with my family. Their personnel accompanied me from entrance of the airport upto the flight. Now I can understand why this airline is in losses from so many years. The babu attitude of the staff is sinking this boat. Since TATAs has taken now it is hoped that they will improve their attitude. For this they will require to revamp the complete organization. Especially the staff who are directly dealing with passengers.

Air India stole 2 check-in bags, when I travelled from Chicago to Delhi on Nov-10-2021, I gave complaint. They logged the complaint, they told we will trace it out and deliver to home, I send tons of mails, and calls, none of them are responding, I don't know yet whom to contact, right channel for claim process, both my tag numbers are **, **. It's air india responsibility to provide customer satisfaction, we pay lot of money for ticket, why do they still theft the bags, They might have black market to sell the things become billionaire. Please provide the claim process if anybody knows.

Recently I have had worst Experience with this airline. I booked a flight, they cancelled the flight and didn't pass me any information about that. During web check-in only I came to know about this. After that I called their customer care several times, sent e-mail but no satisfactory answer. In mail they are saying contact customer care through phone, customer care saying send mail. They playing ping pong, and I am the ball. This incidents happened 1 week back, still there is no solution. Now my money is stuck with them. I will aware all the people, not to avail Air India flights, they do these things often, and don't inform the customer. Like this they cheat us. Now as a customer I have no choice but to appeal before the court.

I have cancelled my ticket before 24hrs as per airline rules with the help of Air india customer care representative. I have not got any confirmation email about cancellation and when checked with representative she said Air india will not send any emails to customers on cancellation. The only option to check if it is cancelled is to go to Manage Booking option on website and give our PNR number and when it does not show anything that means ticket is cancelled. And also only 17000 rupees will be cancellation charges.

I have not received any emails after that and no refund also. I have raised refund request online using feedback form, which only works once in a blue moon (website is the worst service). Later after many follow ups I only got 49$ as refund whereas I was supposed to get almost 800$ as my refund. After calling customer care multiple times and waited hours in line and then call gets disconnected when it is escalated. Finally I got hold of a good rep and he said that my ticket was cancelled 3 hrs before and considered as No Show. Which gave a stroke to me.

How can their software be so slow...which works after 24 hrs. I cancelled it way before 24 hrs and air india records it wrong. Their software is faulty. I wish I know the developer :( for a such a crappy software which works fine when taking money and vice versa on cancellations. I want my hard earned money back from Air india. Now I understand why people not use it. Only due to COVID people had no option. Worst service. Please don't Don't ever travel with Air india.

Had the worst experience ever in customer care. First of all they give you number in Google which is not reachable to them even if you ring it for 4 whole hours and then I tried other number directly in airport service in same airline and the person did pick up the call but didn't answer, just kept the call hanging on while having conversations with someone on the other end. This happened multiple times and was quite frustrating as I had an important inquiry but could do nothing as they played around.

The most ridiculous airline in the aviation history of India. A big disgrace to the nation. Illiterate staff and long waiting hours on the phone to change basic things for existing reservation. The website is a joke with no helpful options to update anything. No wonder the Maharaja has become a beggar.

We got a ticket booked from Air India during March 2020. But as international flights stopped abruptly during Covid-19 and open policy was given for ticket rescheduling at later date. From last many days I am trying my best and even after daily waiting for continuously 3 hours, no one is helping me in resolving this and rescheduling my tickets as I have to travel on an urgent basis as soon as possible. I have written many emails but all in vain. Air India has not earlier refunded my money and now not helping in rescheduling my tickets. I suppose I have lost nearly Rs. 75,000 and not yet been given any help by Air India.

I Booked flights on Air India on 21st September 2021 @ 14:11:28 and went on to book the tickets but on check out after including all the bank details, the website hung and everything got cancelled. I did not receive any email from Air India for a ticket. I called them and they confirmed that they had not booked the ticket and the PNR got cancelled automatically and no money had been deducted. However on 23rd September I checked my account and realized that I had been deducted an amount of INR 400304.18 equivalent to £3951.28. I called them immediately very hysteric as they had taken my amount without providing a service or a ticket. THIS IS A CLEAR CASE OF FRAUD AND STEALING.

When called they put me on hold for nearly 4 hours and I had to call in at least 3 times to speak to someone about my situation. All of them had a script to tell me that they will see if they can refund my amount and I had to fill a request for refund. No one was helpful and they just disconnected the phone. It was so frustrating that I was actually crying on the phone for being scammed so badly by a NATIONAL airline of India. I still have not heard from anyone. It's like they do not care. I am desperate and very upset.

I would like to bring this to your attention that Air India is not refunding the money to flight cancelled by customer within 24 hours or if the Flights got cancelled due to their mistake. According to their if the ticket booked is cancelled within 24 hours refund will be processed, I cancelled my flights which I booked online on Air India Website by calling the customer service department within 20 minutes and I was confirmed the ticket has been cancelled however they will not be able to provide me proof of the cancelled ticket in a email.

They also mentioned the refund will take up to 3 months from the day the ticket was cancelled and the ticket purchase amount will be credited into the debit account from which the ticket was purchased. Since 3 months past and I did not received the refund money. I emailed Air India at ecommerce@airindia.in as instructed on their website. After couple days, I received an email from their team that due to pandemic and less staff there has been delays however I will receive the refund within next 6 weeks. However, 6 weeks past and I was not refunded the owing amount (CAD 2400).

In addition to this I also submitted my complaint using their form online and did not receive any emails or response, then I called customer service department more than 50 times and after long waiting periods once get connected to the customer service agent, Customer service agent after hearing that it is call regarding refund would either hang up or put the call on hold or would act if they can't hear me. This happened numerous times and finally I quit calling the customer service department. I submit the complaint on https://consumerhelpline.gov.in/, anyone who has not receive refund submit grievance to Department of Consumer Affairs India through their online portal, hopefully this will shed some light and will bring this issue in light.

Called the airline many times and still not connected to get my ticket rescheduled. So what can I do now, nothing. There is no customer focus and they sometimes forget that customers are the one they are in business. Air India please improve your services, you lost a customer today.

My name is Bhaskar and I am 65 years old, I am trying to reschedule my return date. But I was not able to do it for almost 2 days spending 8 hours waiting to get the ticketing team to be connected. As soon as someone connects, they say, they will transfer to the ticketing department OR they will call back. But after the transfer no one responded, we had to wait for a long time without no response and drop the call for eating lunch, other work. (This is repeated more than 8-9 times and each time spending around 1-2 hours)

The number we called is 18886341407 as per your website for USA contact. And after several attempts and hold time, we finally got someone from ticketing and he verified everything and confirmed that the ticket can be rescheduled with no penalties and change fee. And the minute he is about to change and confirm, the phone call took us to provide feedback!! (Really frustrating). And again I called back and right now I have been on hold for the past 1 hour. All we are trying to do is change the return flight schedule. Every time, I think this is the lowest, Airindia surprises with the new lowest levels. Worst airline customer care ever!

Very poor services, delayed flight no sms or mail to intimate the delay, very poor on board services. Services have deteriorated compared to my experience in Dreamliner flight in 2019. No onboard entertainment available in spite of TV monitor and headset. No blankets made available, if asked for they provide used ones, that too during this pandemic season. Food on board is pathetic without serving any juice or tea.

Never ever book a ticket with Air India. It is the worst airline and equally deplorable customer service. They will never refund your ticket which had to be cancelled because of the airline's mistake. You will lose money. Such a nightmare, trying to call customer service on this on many occasions, just disconnecting your calls or put on hold and then some automated message. Believe the customer care people have been told to phone off the customers or somehow end their calls.

No wonder no body wants to invest or buy Air India, They are total scammers and swindlers, looted all booking money for cancellation due to COVID. They were to refund several millions but never bothered to refund flight cancellations money when they cancelled flights. They should be sued by all impacted travelers by Air India, they are never reliable and to be trusted. Folks do not travel by this airlines. They are swindlers and they never directly respond to passenger queries. They hide behind sub contracting companies and these sub-contracting companies are even more unreliable and worthless scums.

Please Don't ever use this company!! I Purchased 4 airline tickets from Air India to travel to India on 11/15/2020. Due to the Covid and travel restrictions I cancelled the reservation September 2020. The company told me, yes we will return your money but we will reduce 500 dollars for each ticket for cancellation fees. We are in 08/04/21 and I haven't received any refund. Every time I call to ask for the status of my refund they just hang up the phone. They are very rude and the customer service is horrible!!

These are the biggest scums of the earth. I think deceit is a policy that they follow. Government of India is trying to sell them and no one is buying this junk - And for a reason. I have been trying to reschedule a flight and after being 2 hours on phone and being bounced around for 3-4 times, no one does the rescheduling! Either system upgrade, or I am not authorized or, someone else can help you! I mean how these people are even allowed to operate! They should be barred from entering into the US and other places.

Due to flight has cancelled they changed only connecting flight. (My travel date is Sep 04th, from Hyderabad to Delhi it is Sep 4th and Delhi to destination they changed it to oct 3rd). From past 3 days I'm trying to call them to change my flight dates. Every time when it connect they will say they will connect to their respective team and each call waiting time goes more than 1 hour and gets disconnect automatically. In a day I'm making more than 5 calls. Still the issue hasn't been resolved. I have never experienced this kind of worst response from any other airlines.

It is a nightmare dealing with this airlines. I am writing this review while waiting in customer care call from past 1 hr. 20 mins. This is 9th call today. You can imagine how my day and night has been going on from yesterday. If your case is complex like changing flight dates or booking minor child tickets etc, most of the CC employees will keep you in wait then disconnect the call suddenly. It is their intention that over the period of two days trying to get things done, you will fed up and give up.

My case, we wanted to reschedule the dates of dep and arr, after 4 calls (1hr. 20 each approximately), we were asked to pay X amount. When we tried to pay, their payment processor was down. Funds were deducted from our all 4 credit cards multiple times (because we though problem in our credit cards). After 4 hours, I tried again, payment (for rescheduling) is successful then itinerary is not updated. So we are in 9th call today trying to reach.

Typically they take your call within a minute and ask all sorts of information. You will think they totally understand your case also you will think it is easy for them to fix it quickly. But NO. They will send you to another department. That is where you spend most of time biting your nails. Finally after 1 hour you will hear a calm voice to which you have to explain all the case, eventually your PNR number, ticket number will be by hearted by you. And you will remember that for so many days. They say they will fix the ticket and ask to wait few minute. Again music..and music and music,,.. you will start panicking.. You will shout her/his name loudly.. but still music... you will start doing some house chores meanwhile and probably watch a movie. Suddenly the call disconnects. Blood rushes into your face. You will shout helplessly.. Your family members will look at you.. You will feel guilty. And this goes in a loop, just like that time loop movie.

All travellers be warned. Air India is a beggar airline. They will take your money and you will never see it again, even if you do your due diligence and cancel within 24 hours, even if you call them every other day for 2 month, wait on hold for hours, write 20 emails and create 5 escalated cases with their substandard, rude and good for nothing customer support agents.

All of the above happened to me. I booked a business class ticket and tried to cancel online but the system was down so I called to cancel within 24 hours. But the customer support agent casually said, and I quote "please call back later. The system is undergoing maintenance and I cannot cancel at this time". That was my first red flag. What kind of an agent cannot cancel even it the user cannot cancel? So I left an email asking them to cancel within 24 hours. I called several times after that and I got the same response:

1. I'd have to pay the $200 cancellation charge because the 24 hours has passed. Otherwise, they said it's wise to hold off on cancelling until my escalated case would be reviewed by someone at a higher level (classic Indian bureaucracy).
2. That the customer agents do not have access to emails because they just don't and only the backend team can see my emails (this was new. I haven't heard of any other airline that keeps its phone staff and email staff separate).

3. That I'd get a response within 24 to 48 hours (but didn't). Even if I did, it was always automated or tightly scripted (was I ever talking to a human?).

Exhausted with the constant back and forth and going nowhere for a month but before my flight date, I called them to cancel my booking, agreeing to pay the $200. I was promised that my escalated case would be seen to but it never was. I left them multiple requests in email, in consumer.com, on their feedback form but talking to these people is like talking to a wall. If you don't believe me, please go look at air india reviews on any website or consumer complaint websites and you'll read all the horror stories. All of them are true. Save yourself the hassle, please book somewhere else, unless you're desperate and there are no other flights.

This is not the first time I have experienced this stupidest service from Air India. I had no option to choose other than Air India. They say maintain social distancing. And people are literally sitting next to each other. Complete flight is packed. Not even single seat is empty. Super dirty flights. Cheapest service ever..

Unfortunately, I choose air India. I am traveling from the United States to Vijayawada [Y38SM]. Due to some reasons, I have rescheduled my flight. They do not even have the option to reschedule the flight online from the passenger. If we want to reschedule the call we have to call customer care and they will pick the call and forward the call to the ticket rescheduling department and for that, we have to be on hold for 30 minutes.

Once the rescheduling department picks the call, the call will get disconnected automatically. Sometimes they will tell "there is an issue in line and will call you back in 4 hours". But I never get a call. I have wasted approximately 20 hours of time with Air India customer care people. Even the customer care representatives will not assist properly, some people do not know how to explain things in English properly. Since we do not have any other option we choose air India due to this COVID. "Please do not travel from Air India, you do not get any assistance once you book your ticket and if you have any problem. This is a sincere request from my end".

All my experience with Air India was devastating. Last year I booked air ticket for my mother, from chennai to singapore on 14-04-2020. Due to pandemic, all flights were cancelled. After 1 year 1 month of countless emails and calls to air india, I received Rs. 914 as refund. I lost Rs. 6393 with their usual explanation "as per applicable fare rules". They don't even deserve 0 rating.

I bought a ticket on AIR INDIA business class in April 2020. For obvious reasons I could not fly. I have been chasing them for one year for a refund & they just don't care. The airline does not respond to emails & the customer service is rude & has no knowledge. I wish US would stop them from flying to the US. They don't deserve to be part of STAR ALLIANCE. I travelled from New Delhi to San Francisco through Air India on April 20th, 21. I was asked to pay $80.0 for my laptop bag. Air India website does not mention about the weight of the laptop bag. The person at the gate counter asked to pay out of pocket. I will never recommend anyone to travel with Air India again, neither will I travel. I will escalate this issue since no information was given correctly and Other bags had appropriate weight as mentioned on their website. My laptop bag had some food that I was carrying since I cannot eat the food served in the plane and also had my iPad in it. I would never recommend this flight.

Air India is a misleading crooked airline out to fleece passengers. Especially now during corona crisis, that they are aware not many airlines are flying to US... I had a round trip ticket from NY JFK to Bangalore. Leaving NY Jan 22 and return on April 16 th 2021. BOOKING REFERENCE # **. On the day of my return, April 15th, I was thoroughly harassed and cheated and misled by AIR INDIA staff in Bangalore. Was NOT ALLOWED to board the flight. And was FORCED to buy another one way ticket to JFK at a premium price of $1400. I am a US CITIZEN. I have also been vaccinated fully against the COVID 19. I had called the Air India customer service before and told them that and they said that should be enough to board the flight.

At the airport the ground staff of Air India insisted I take a $100 Rapid antigen test knowing fully well the results won’t be in, in time for my flight. They made me miss the flight and said my ticket will be considered as NO SHOW. They wouldn’t even let me ask for a postponement for my ticket. Misled me at every step. Made me miss my flight and I had to buy a new ONE WAY TICKET to JFK at a HEFTY PRICE OF $1400. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. Air India knows there are not many flight from Bangalore to US and hence use this to FLEECE and CHEAT and MAKE MONEY OFF OF Innocent passengers especially if they are US CITIZENS. I DEMAND A REFUND OF $1400 which I was unnecessarily forced to pay for a new ticket and an apology. My US Tel # **. My Indian mobile **. WhatsApp

I booked two tickets for two of my family members on 26th March 2020. Of course, that was the day that Modi called a lockdown and shut down the whole country including trains, planes, etc., leaving hundreds of thousands of people stranded. I tried contacting Air India for 6 months after that but no one answered their phones (real dodgy). Then on August 11th, 2020, I finally managed to contact someone through a number I rang in Australia. They advised me that tickets were not being refunded but that we could re-book the tickets up to December 31st, 2021. So in March 2021, I tried rebooking and was told that the tickets were no longer valid as a refund was made on August 11th 2020!! They advised to check with my bank who I then found, had no record of a refund. So then I was told to send an email to their e-commerce department.

All I got back was a vague reply telling me that they had already refunded the money. I have since asked them 4 times to clarify the details so I could give my bank specific details to follow up, but I have had no reply. I have tried ringing Customer Service, but every time I tell them what I am after, they just hang up!!!! All I can say is that this is typical of how everything seems to happen in INDIA!!! Air India have gone from being a highly rated company to a really dodgy one now!!!!

I don't recommend Air India anymore. I would say worst airline in the world. I had reservation on january 2021, had to cancel due to some covid issue, I've been calling them since January till today 15 march, refund still not processed, I've called and emailed at least 10 times, very disappointed.

I booked my flight for the first time with this unprofessional airline (Air India) and I’ve the worst experience. First I was asked to wait at the end for my boarding. I waited hour and half and found out that they wanted to charge me for duty free stuff I bought. When I asked them to speak to the manager I told told that I won’t be able to board the flight if I want to talk to any supervisor. And they ended up charging me $200 at the security gate which I don’t think they’re authorized to do. My bags and every was cleared at the immigration but I think they just wanted to make some extra cash. No wonder why Air India is going out business. Would never recommend anyone to even consider this airline. Worst experience ever.

I have been trying to reschedule my flight for the past week to no avail. Their online website is a mess that doesn't recognize my ticket or booking reference. Every time I call, they hang up on me after explaining my situation. They happily accept taking payments but will offer no support once they have trapped you.

Air India is illegally not returning refund of canceled tickets. There are hundreds of victims. I have called customer service over 10 times, they always provide misleading and false information. Finally got a response back from ecommerce@airinida and they said to contact customer service. It has been over 4 months. Lodge a complaint against US Department of Authority: **.

I had already prepaid for the extra luggage online. However, upon check-in, we were told that there is no reference to the prepayment and charged the credit card again at an even higher amount. I have been calling; emailing for the refund of the duplicate charges as they appear on my cc statement, but no response yet. Was even on hold for an hour still, no one attended to our concern.

Everyone knows Air India is worst, but still if you are a patriot and want to give business to your countries Airlines, still don’t fly by Air India. It’s better these type of businesses should shut down, anyhow they are bringing countries reputation to dust. The Ticketing staff at Delhi Terminal 3 is worst, I don’t know if they even check their educational credentials at all before hiring.

I had to stand for 2 hours just to drop bags even after e-checking and when my turn came I was thrown here and there and charged filthy amount of Rs 20,000 just for luggage weight. I don’t Mind giving the amount if it’s the rule and is legit. The behind desk person named Manoj ** just in front of me let go a girl without even weighing her carry on telling her, why do you want to weight it, If you can lift it, that means it’s not that’s heavy, like seriously and the same guy charged me around Rs 600 per kg, he made me weight every luggage of mine.

I don’t mind doing that but what I saw him doing with that girl and this discrimination literally is totally unprofessional, unethical and wrong at so many levels. I flew from US, had option of either taking Indigo or Air India, took Air India as was just feeling patriotic, never again will I fly with these unprofessional people. They have no idea about any rules, all the staff is rude especially the young guys. Save yourself from a rude experience by not traveling by Air India.

My bag was damaged when I found it at the belt. The airport staff asked me to send an email to claim compensation. I sent the email. I didn’t receive any response from them. I kept trying to call them but most of the time they wouldn’t answer. After almost a month when I finally got to talk to the supervisor he said they cannot compensate for the damage. And when I tried explaining it to him he hung up.

I would give 0 stars, if I had the option. I had a flight from Chennai-Delhi-Chicago-Raleigh on Feb 13th. It was on this journey that I got cheated by Air India in Chennai. My ticket clearly mentioned that my 2 23kg Check-In Baggages were FREE, but the Air India lady at Check-In counter kept forcing me to pay RS.18360 (230$+Tax) as Fees. She asked me to show my ticket to prove that I was allowed 2 Free Check-In, and when I showed It, she Kept saying it was incorrect and that I was wrong. She simply refused to listen or allow me ahead, and she forced me to either pay the fees or she would throw the luggage away. I am a student, and needed to get back to US, and after some argument I was forced to pay.

Initially she demanded Cash, for which I had USD cash, but soon she said she needed the fees in INR. Luckily I had my Indian Debit Card and had To Pay the Amount Of Rs.18360. I even showed my Student Id when she asked me to prove It, but when I showed, she still forced me to either pay or getting the luggage thrown away. Every time I showed her proof she asked, she literally discarded it. She even called another employee on the phone and was making fun of me in Tamil, assuming that I did not know the language.

Just a month earlier, I had called an Air India support employee while double-checking all my ticket details, and he had explicitly told me that both my luggages were free, and that there were NO EXTRA CHARGES. Thus, I faced total mental harassment as a student, and suffered huge financial loss of my hard earned money. I have already filed a consumer complaint on Voxya, sent an email to air india and put this up on social media. I have proof of ticket which says 2 free check-in baggage and the receipt of Rs.18360 which I was forced to pay. I really hope for a full refund of my money, and strongly urge everyone to think 10 times before booking air india. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND.

I canceled 2 tickets booked for May 2020. Even after 11 months I have not received the refund. Customer service unable to give any proper answer. Getting different (and wrong) information every time I call. One of them even gave me a wrong email id to contact to. Unable to get answers from anywhere. Even the emails sent to the email id listed on the official website goes unanswered. NEVER FLY WITH AIR INDIA EVER!

NEVER FLY ON AIR INDIA, IT IS THE WORST FLIGHT EVER. Air India is the worst airlines with the worst staffs. The staffs are not at all polite. They are so rude and are doing things in their own will. Not following protocols or any rules. I was flying from Cochin to Delhi then to Toronto in a Air India connection flight. The Air India staffs from Delhi did not let me fly even when I had a valid PCR report with me. They were so rude and they stopped me from boarding telling that they need to verify my result. The supervisor at the Delhi Airport was being so irresponsible and later was not clearly saying anything about why I'm not eligible to travel. Then he later apologized and told me he will book one ticket for me the next day.

He send me a guy named Hemanth who is a staff of Air India and after reaching at the ticket counter, he sneaked away without saying anything. Then a guy named Rahul came up and he was the worst. He said he cannot do anything and if I need a ticket, pay him 3 lakh or 7 lakh. And when I asked for refund, he said he is not going to pay me anything and shouted at me to leave. I stayed there for LITERALLY MORE THAN 10 HOURS from 1 am in the morning to 11 am talking to everyone in Air India asking about this issue. No one responded in a good way and even was laughing at me.

LITERALLY IRRESPONSIBLE PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW TO BEHAVE. The supervisors are even worse with no responsibility. The supervisor who came on shift at 7 am or something was shouting at me back saying that "go ask whoever didn't let you fly, I don't have anything to do with them." They even took back my boarding pass from Delhi to Toronto to take away the proof. Worst ever flight experience and I lost 1 lakh 10,000 rupees for a new ticket. They didn't even refund me or didn't do anything even when they did the wrong thing to me. NEVER FLY ON AIR INDIA, IT IS THE WORST FLIGHT EVER.

Worst ever customer service with Air India. My connecting flight was delayed from Hyderabad to Delhi and because of which I missed Delhi to Toronto flight. They were making me to make rounds between supervisors and agents for 24hours. So I was stuck in airport for 24 hours without any accommodation or food. On top of that they made me to pay 200 CAD for the luggage by hooking up some stories. If HYD air India was okay with the baggage why wouldn’t Delhi AI?. Just don’t book flight with Air India and waste your time and money.

Hi, I did booked an AirIndia ticket from India to Toronto and cancelled it within 24 hours after being confirmed by Air India customer care that I am eligible for full refund. It's been 3 weeks now and have called customer care at least 10 times, and their response is always different, mostly they will say that refunds will take care by ecommerce department and I need to send email, which I sent them so many times not a single acknowledgement so far.. Waiting for almost 3000 CAD refund. Does anyone knows any way to contact ecommerce department of Air India? I am so depressed.

Hi Everyone, Posting this to reveal the truth about Air India. Firstly do not trust their customer care agents as they are literally illiterate and will give you any vague explanation without deep diving into the issue. Secondly they never reply back on time wasting our precious time. I had two tickets for a certain flight which got cancelled from Air India and when I reached out their customer care agent, he said, "Sir write an email for flight cancellation and we'll process your full refund." Now it's been more than 40 days awaiting refund and everyday I am getting vague responses from the Air India team. I don't know if I will get the money or not but certainly can save your money by posting this. Do not go for Air india flights, completely waste of your time and money.

There should exist a minimum courtesy in this world for a company to respond to its customers’s emails. It’s been close to 20 days after sending the emails but no response received. I called 5-7 times to Air India customer service and was being told different reasons and information when asked about my refund. See some of the stories told by customer service agents are as below:

1. We don’t see any refund request from you.
2. We don’t have the information you’re asking. Contact e-commerce team.
3. Your refund is already on its way. You will get it in 1 week.
4. Your refund was not initiated yet. If you confirm now, I will go ahead and initiate the refund. Expect a call between 0-4 hours from e-commerce team and confirm the refund with them. (I never received a call.)

5. An agent provided me the e-commerce Indian phone number and asked me to call them during specific timings. Call them during early hours or else they won’t answer your call. (Why don’t they?) (Do you think it’s easy to call Indian landline number from the US?)

I waited 3 weeks before contacting them. Seriously Air India?? Are you guys really in 2020? Just look at the world and the quality of support providing by other airlines. Just because Air India is a government run airline, you guys shouldn’t be this irresponsible. I have been reaching you guys to refund my money back and no one really wants to help. In my whole time, I used 10’s of airlines and 100’s of flights. If I did ever cancel the ticket by phone or app/website, I will be refunded within 2-3 days. No further follow up needed. But this process with Air India.. I have no more words to describe my frustration and dissatisfaction.

- The end to end process needs a serious improvement for a fast and flawless service.
- Refund process should be simple/straightforward and shouldn’t be even 0.1% complicated from the current process.
- Customer service agents have to take their jobs seriously and upscale their knowledge levels. In middle of our conversation, one agent was make fun with his colleague and laughing out loudly. No proper etiquette. Professionalism is needed.

- Remember that you guys are representing India working in a Indian government run airline.

Be very careful when booking flights through this carrier. If you happen to cancel the tickets due to unexpected reasons you will not get your funds back. I have been waiting for almost 31 days now and the cost of the tickets around 3000 USD is not being refunded by Air India. None of their call center folks will give a response. They will flood your inbox with SPAM. All call center employees will direct you to ecommerce.airindia email id. No response will come from that ID. AIR INDIA is using the funds for some selfish reasons. Huge scam to be revealed for sure. How can one keep funds with them for services not provided. Will be filing a complaint shortly with business bureau to get the funds back. Hope this caution helps your travels. Fighting for the refunds. NO HUMAN TO ANSWER FROM AIR INDIA!!!! BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS KIND OF SCAMS.

I am a 58-year-old single lady who had sent her only son to study in the UK in September 2019. I was going to meet him there for the convocation ceremony, but as a result of COVID 19 pandemic condition, it was dangerous for me to go there so my son planned his return to INDIA on 22 October 20. Because my luggage was with him, which he was certain to carry back, he told me on 17 October 20 to contact AIR INDIA at 18602331407 to find additional baggage charges over and above 23 kg +23 kg and 8 kg of cabin luggage allowed for him. Upon calling the AIR INDIA representative at the listed no above, a girl representative told me that if my son shows a student visa and other college card information, he would be allowed to bear 23 kg of extra luggage at no cost.

I reconfirmed this by calling back at the same time, no, this time the boy picked up. The same question was asked and reiterated about the girl's tale, which he accepted as optimistic and accurate information. My son was given this message on the same day by me from the officials of AIR INDIA and with difficulties, he bought a bag worth 30 pounds and eventually made his trip on the 22nd of October. Then the trauma and abuse began. Air India check-in at the counter did not allow third luggage when arriving at London Airport. In debating and explaining the truth, his third suitcase baggage was confiscated, which was worth 500 pounds, and he was permitted to carry it with an additional charge of 144 pounds of things that could not be left behind since it belonged to me.

He was so harassed at the Air India counter that he had been asked to wait for an hour and a half till the time they check with their supervisors. It was an emotional trauma to him, as well as to me, when he called to tell me what had happened. I was in a state of disbelief and called to customer support No. 18602331407. Another abuse began when I called the no. three times and the representatives, after listening to me, put the phone on hold and then disconnected the line. The fourth time, I was told by a representative that Air India officials were sorry for their error and that they wanted me to the Air India office in New Delhi to plead the case.

This is how Air India and its officials are operating. Can the term 'SORRY' make up the emotional damage that it caused? There was a monetary loss of 644 pounds over and above my emotional trauma, and I want it to be restored as quickly as possible. The money, which amounts to almost 65000 INR, is a lot of money for a single lady, and it is from her old age savings which is lost because of the poor, incomplete knowledge details of AIR INDIA staff, and I should not suffer for it and want it to be recovered as soon as possible.

The worst Airline in the world and by a distance. The crew members seem like were picked randomly from the street, without any education on mannerism. The food was dismal, as expected. The pilot, didn't make a single announcement nor did he introduce himself throughout the entire flight. I wonder where these people come from. The company every year hemorrhages money, and you can clearly see why. Why would anyone in their right mind want to fly with Air India. They are broke and they must be out of business... At Least it would spare the world of a dismal and disgraceful Airline company.

I have booked my tickets with Air India in March for 30th April ’20. But due to lockdown it was cancelled by AI. Since then I requested for a refund and following up for past 5 months for my money. On 15th Sep E-commerce team confirmed to me on email that money has been refunded from their end and it will take 10-12 business days for it to get credited to my account but even after that also still I am waiting for my money. By declaring it to me that money has been refunded from their end they have made clear that they do not owe me any money now and it seems that they are not in any mood of refunding my money. I feel to be a victim of an online scam run by Air India and Hardeep S ** who in the name of evacuation are playing with the patience of people who are desperate to fly. And thus scamming their money. Hence my two cents is if it is not life and death do not make yourself prey of Air India. Thanks.

Air India is Lucky there is 1 star which is the least available rating here. My below review is only to make consumers aware and I don't expect any feedback or improvement from air India. In fact they don't have anyone who is taking accountability or escalation matrix. Today is the 12th day since my request to modify booking date is placed. I am just being ping ponged from call center to customer support email. Either these guys have no coordination between each other or they have been given certain target to loot consumers hard earned money. I have even copied the civil aviation union minister the joint secretary of civil aviation and other. My strong advice to people reading this would be Please avoid travelling in air India or air India express. I have donated my money to these crooks. If you wish to do so please proceed.

It was a very unfortunate the way ground staff of Air India treated me today at Srinagar Airport, I reached on time at airport 1 hour before flight departure time, my flight departure time was 13.10 hrs and I reached at 12.10 but the executive at the counter told, "You are late. You can't board the flight." I requested the executive that there is still one hour for the departure but the executive at the counter straight away denied to entertain, I even requested for at least 10 min to the person in charge for the boarding pass as my father is admitted in hospital and he is alone and is very ill but all my request was in vain, and the way they behaved with me was very unprofessional and they even told me, "You do what you can, do a complaint or whatever." It was a very unfortunate that I could not see my ailing father.

Just want to know if boarding closes before 40 min and I was at the counter way before that time, then why they denied me the boarding pass, I even had the copy of the e ticket that I got from the lady and she had written on it herself. That passenger reported at 12.20 hrs but I reported at 12.10 hrs. That is where I got in argument with the person for writing wrong information as she wasted my 10 min for denying in giving me the boarding pass. It was very bad experience with Air India today, I believe such unprofessional people only make people suffer. I have one question why we common people suffer because of such unprofessional people. Kindly look into it and I hope I will get the reply back.

They dont even deserve one star. Their customer service department should be renamed to worst customer service department. They canceled my tickets twice and post that hung up on me twice when I asked for cancellation on my flight as they had no convenient flight. IT'S THE WORST AIRLINE! Their staff has no knowledge of their airline cancellation policy. They do not proceed with cancellation in case the customer is not okay with their rescheduled flight options. They refused to refund my cancellation amount when I clearly asked them to cancel my flight which was already been rescheduled by them twice even cancelled.. This is most terrible customer service I have ever faced! I would have better gone with Indigo or any other airline.

I have tickets for me and wife (** and **) with Air India from Toronto to Kathmandu. Our Visa here expires soon so we need to get out of Canada. We understand that due to Covid, there were many flight cancellations so we also couldn't return on our April 15 flight and were waiting for AIR INDIA to resume their flight. But as Air India hasn't yet resumed their flights and other Airlines have resumed their flight, so we are asked by the authorities to leave the country. But AIR INDIA doesn't refund our money. The Customer service representatives have been rude on this. It's a situation where they do not have flights (for their reasons) and do not refund our money back, and we are not in a status to let go the money and get another ticket or even wait for AIR INDIA to open as per their convenience.. Please help us at your earliest possible.

Air India— making fool to customer / not refund consumer money. Feb 2020 I have book round ticket from dubai to india / india to dubai For 28 april - 30 may 2020. First due covid 19 they rescheduled my ticket without my acknowledgment. Later 18 april I double check with airline. Then they ask to reschedule. Offer me date aug or September, which I asked to cancel the ticket, ask for refund. From which first airline said tax and surcharge will not refund. Only basic fare will be refund in 15 working days in my bank account. From 18 april I am keep asking for refund in online agent. They just making fool to consumer by saying 15 days more and more. Today it's 27 july 2020!!! Still not refunded!! And no update no receipt for cancel, when we ask for receipt, they reply, "We don’t provide." I will advise never ever book the ticket from this airline!! They will royal take your money and you regret by service.

I had been calling Air India Customer Service since 3 days. At least five times a day. They do have initiated flights for people stuck back in India under Vande Bharat Maatram, but not helping with reschedule cancelled tickets during pandemic to book VBM flights. Customer service is not responding to calls, if they pick up after wait of 20 mins, they say hello and drop the call off. I had been asking to book flight for my parents so that they can come back to US. But I am not getting any help, customer service says to call back but getting no back calls yet. Is this the way Air India is helping people to evacuate? I am sorry to say but would recommend everyone never ever book flights with Air India who is letting India down.

I had purchased an air ticket for my family from Air India on Feb 22, 2020, for travelling to Kochi from Toronto (via Delhi) on May 30, 2020. When we contacted their Customer Service on 20 May 2020 via chat, they advised that the flight was cancelled. But they will NOT provide a full refund even though it is not my fault. Also, a huge cancellation fee of $1575 will be deducted from me if I choose not to travel on a future date. As we decided not to travel any soon due to the pandemic, Air India left us no option but to cancel the ticket. They advised that the remainder ($4,099.98 - $1575.00) will be credited back to my card in a few days. But even after more than a month, I have received nothing.

We tried to contact their support emails (ecommerce@airindia.in and contactus@airindia.in) several times and we never got any reply from them other than auto response. We also tried to call their Customer Service numbers (18886341407, + 911242641407, + 912026231407, +911124667473 and +11124667474) but all of them are switched off for weeks. The only option was the chat service, which seems to have disappeared from their website (www.airindia.in). The Air India office in Mississauga was already closed. So literally, there’s no means of communication with this fraud company. I was foolishly romantic about patriotism and always book ticket on the national flag carrier. Not anymore.

We purchased expensive AI business class tickets for our family (2 adults & 2 kids) trip to India (from SFO->DEL in the end of Jan, 2020). Myself & my 10 year son returned in 2 weeks (to attend school & work) while my wife along my 3 year old son stayed back in India a bit more but eventually they unfortunately got stuck in India due COVID-19 related situation. We were charged change fees on first re-schedule of the 2 tickets for their return flight as my wife fell sick around date of return (first week of March). Most of the airlines were waiving off the change fees though. And the re-scheduled flight (in April) did not take off due to lock down in India.

Eventually after announcement of special repatriation Air India flights when we saw some hope to get them back here in SFO & re-unite the entire family BUT we struggled painfully trying to get them re-booked. Waited for hours and hours on countless occasions for several days on wait/music trying to get someone from customer service over phone and all the time no meaningful help was offered. Nobody seemed to show interest in re-scheduling the return ticket (which could not be used due to air travel shut off due to lock down) and insisted to pay fresh tickets price (which were unreasonably high in business class). Eventually when my wife visited local Air India ticketing office in India (Chandigarh) most of the announced flights were sold out.

Once again after our continuous & countless calls to Air India customer service that usually got attention after several hours of waits/holds on music each time and numerous personal visits & begging in front of their your local ticketing office staff (in sector 34, Chandigarh India) and paying hefty charges/fair-differences/taxes & what-not, we finally still felt slightly okay that after all we got scheduled to fly back on June 12th flight (AI 173).

But eventually it was to our immense disappointment when on the date of flight at Delhi airport we were told that we have been secretly downgraded to economy class WITHOUT any of their staff members giving us a slightest possible hints about this drastic change to our re-scheduled ticket. We had previously been struggling ONLY to get our family booked in same/business class as our originally scheduled ticket which got void due to lock down. Had any of the airline's staff member at the ticketing office mentioned about this such an important piece of information pertaining to the class-change, we would have NEVER gotten settled for this return flight.

It was shockingly harassing experience for my spouse with my little 3 year old son when she was told at the boarding counter that suddenly the ticket issued was NOT business class anymore. And to add to this mental torture there were no upgrades available on the spot when we decided to make our mind to pay even more money on top off already charged huge sum of money. We all were in a state of shockingly huge disappointment and went through huge mental & physical harassment for the entire return journey that my spouse & my son had to forcefully experience, given no choice (after travelling almost full day to airport by road and learning that they don’t have any choice but to travel in downgraded economy class that no one communicated to us at any point during or after the entire re-issuing ticketing process).

To add to this chain of disturbing events during this worst travel experience my son’s stroller was declared lost/missing upon arrival in SFO such that my wife had to hold him as well carry the luggage all the way to the ground transportation point that is actually a very long walk through long queues & waiting times in immigration/custom queues. And finally upon reaching home we surprisingly got call (as if it was some sort of courtesy) from air india ground staff that "your baby stroller had been found and you would need to come back all the way back to SFO airport from where ever you are currently located and pick it up". It was ridiculously hopeless response on delayed/missing luggage filed issues that are usually entertained & serviced via shipping in addition to appropriate compensation for the sufferings caused.

Anyway we wanted to share the entire series of issues we have faced during this frustratingly awful travel experience through air india when we had been desperately begging for help to schedule our return ticket to be able to re-unite with entire family, for many many weeks using all possible communication channels and without getting useful response. And when we finally got one by paying countless personal visits to one of your local ticketing office it led to even much bigger & disastrous mess, mental/physical torture with involuntary downgraded travel class, missing stroller & so on. We will definitely avoid travelling air india in future.

I booked my airline tickets by the call center directly through Air India. My flights were canceled due to COVID-19 crisis by Air India. All other airlines are providing a full refund. Air India still charges cancellation fees when there is no fault of the customer. I have wasted countless hours listening to the music on hold. Highly disgraceful and unprofessional service by Air India. I wish the US government cancels the license of Air India. I hope customers read my review and think twice before booking through Air India.

I was about to visit home in India this month but due to this pandemic situation I am no longer able to fly out of the country as New Zealand border for overseas travelling will most likely to be closed this year, I shared this unfortunate situation with Air India, instead of being understanding they started juggling up with wrong information and told me 1st that I will receive half of the money refunded but now confirmed I'll receive no refund at all? Is this called a good customer service? The world is going through crisis and air india keeps robbing people. I will make sure none of my family or friends ever deal with air india in future as it's the most terrible airline ever.

I wanted to tell you that I am very disappointed, you have the worst customer care service ever, I have booked AirIndia flight from Kolkata to Jammu on 29-May-2020, (My Booking Reference number:- **) and ( Eticket number:- **) due to the rapid spread of COVID 19, Coronavirus flight is canceled, so when I have asked for a refund, they are saying that it's non-refundable Which is against the Aviation law in any country.

Also, the other option they gave is to book a flight of some other date in the future, So from the last 5 days, I am trying to connect with customer care to book my flight again, From Kolkata to Srinagar or Delhi but as usual they say that they are looking for alternate flight and they put me on hold and do not answer my queries and always put me on hold until I disconnect the call. They are not reverting to email. On following up the customer service agents keep me on hold for 2 to 3 hours and disappear. You had a very long call waiting and this is getting worse.

This is the worst air line ever. Staff are rude and ignore requests. Planes are old and nothing works and dirty and broken - nothing is cleaned. Old tissues and rubbish is left when one boards. Constant flight delays without any notification. Will not give any compensation. Will not reply to emails or correspondence. DO NOT USE THIS AIRLINE.

I was in India on vacation from Canada and travel often with Air India and it’s star Alliance partners, therefore built a huge amount of frequent flyer points.. I wanted to fly domestic and so called flying returns to redeem my points for my domestic flight. I called flying returns from my local Indian telephone number, the representative refused to book my flight stating that I should be calling from my registered Canadian tel no on my account...

Please note that I had booked a flight earlier from my same Indian tel no and had no problem booking it but this time I had this horrible representative and then when I asked for a manager I was transferred to a manager Uzair who was even worse and continuously cited the reason they can’t book was because I wasn’t calling from my Canadian tel no, and how on earth can we book domestically from a foreign tel no was beyond me as I couldn’t make any local calls in India from a Canadian tel no as it’s too expensive to signup for that kind of service in Canada.

I was obviously very upset but he just refused to help and then had the audacity to block my local Indian tel no from calling the flying returns tel no. I tried to call back a few times hoping to get a more helpful representative but my tel no was blocked period...I then used a relative’s local tel no and lo and behold I got through, and every time I called, the representatives could not bring up my account for some reason and they kept saying someone would call me back, I called 3-4 times and every time the same response of them not being able to access my account and that I will receive a call back which I never did.

I eventually had to pay cash for my domestic flight, couldn’t of course redeem my points because Air India for some reason has given too much power to a manager who abused his authority to block my account and my local tel no so I couldn’t call them back just because I wasn’t calling from my registered Canadian tel no. I’m so shocked by this experience and I want to know if there is anyone out there who can help. It's unfair that a mean natured manager has so much power to abuse his authority!

I booked Air India flight for my parents for April 3rd 2020 from Delhi to NewYork. Due to Covid-19 flight is cancelled. Now I am asking for refund, they are deducting 15,000 per ticket for cancellation, Which is against the Aviation law in any country. Also, the other option the gave is to book flight of some other date in future, But I'll have to pay the price difference. They did PRICE GOUGING for flights on future dates, the prices are as high as 1 LAKH per ticket ($1395). I paid 67,000 ($920) for that earlier. So I'll have to pay 60, 000 more (extra) for the flight, Why? These companies especially Government owned enterprise should be helping people not cheating them and doing price gouging during these times.

I am trying to reschedule my parents return ticket from SFO - Delhi due to coronavirus. Their ticket is for March 30th and they are flexible on dates due to high price of Air India. But I was asked to 90000 rupees extra for the price difference. And as per customer care, this is the cheapest price for next 1-2 months. The price difference is more than any new tickets (2 tickets) from other Airlines. I don't know if Air India is helping passengers in this bad time or doing their business. Also if I cancel the ticket I will not get any refund!!!! since this is a used ticket???? I don't have a choice now. 90000 is too much for me.

Back in January 2020, I purchased from Air India three round trip tickets for my wife and two kids to travel to New Delhi from San Francisco and return. However due to the rapid spread of COVID 19 Coronavirus, the Indian government has canceled all incoming travel of foreign nationals until April 15th, 2020. Enclosed please see print out of press release of this announcement.

I have now reached to Air India customer service twice by email requesting a full refund due to the above mentioned reason. Enclosed please find copies of emails. However, I have not received any response from them so far. Furthermore, I spent two hours on hold on the phone to get to a customer service representative at Air India. Finally somebody came on the line and he said he can't issue me a refund w/o penalty. The only thing he could do for us is extend the travel to begin one month later. How do I know if this situation would be resolved in one month, I tried explaining to him. He simply hung up the phone. All other Airlines have voluntarily offered full refunds on bookings made during this time since majority of the country governments and health officials are advising against travel to avoid further spread of the Coronavirus. I am thoroughly disappointed in my dealings with Air India.

I booked flights for my family to Goa from Mumbai at the end of last year. For our holiday from Australia to India. These flights were booked in good faith. I have been physically unable to cancel my flight using the website, even though it acknowledges my booking and repeatedly tells me the information on my card is entered incorrectly. This is not the case. I have emailed every single email address listed within the site. I have called every number on the site. I have had my hotel in India call the site. No one answers the phone, no one has returned an email in the last ten days. I have sent 18 emails. To say I frustrated is beyond belief.

Air India have no right not allowing us to cancel a flight knowing that we cannot enter the country once we land. Due to their country's ruling. As is, we are unable to fly to India from Australia now. We are unable realistically to postpone our holiday within a six month window as we do not know how this virus will pan out. Our visa will no longer be valid and so we have paid hundreds of dollars for something we can never use. Why dont they just answer the phone and at least give us the option to rebook in the next 12 months, to have Indian visitor visa extended for 12 months and give us an opportunity to re-book in a reasonable time. As it is, I feel like I have been physically stolen from when I am at my most vulnerable. I will never book with Air India in the future and having visited Goa for 15 years- made some amazing friends along the way, I may never fly back there again after this. If I could give no stars I would.

They are actually stealing from people. The customer service advisor been told that no one can cancel the flight due to Corona. They have to re-book it and that as well in next six months. When you reach to customer services they says that they are looking at alternate flight and they put you on hold and then hang up! If your mobile number is connected to your booking then it's already blocked means you can't contact the airlines with that number... What a FRAUDSTER on the name of CORONAVIRUS...stealing from poor people and cheating with them... SHAME ON YOU AIR INDIA.

Air India http://www.airindia.in. We have tried to speak with your customer service to recoup my ticket cost but I've constantly been sent in circles. My son had a medical emergency on 2/15 causing us to be deplaned by the captain. I had to pay for another 3 tickets to get back to America. I don't think this is fair to me at all. I wasn't reissued a ticket as I was promised when deplaned. At the airport we were treated terribly and were carrying 8 bags with a sick child throughout the day; no one was helpful at all. We had a horrible experience with Air India.

Hello. I have first time in my life booked Air India flight 11/02/2020 from Mumbai to Bengaluru which is around 16.40. I was in the airport 30 minutes before. I was in the queue. There was a lot of rush and I took a help of a ground staff to check if there is still time so I can check-in. She said, "Is still time. You can be on the line." I was waiting for my turn to come so I can proceed to the boarding pass and check inside my aircraft. When the time I reach to the counter to take MY pass the person who is sitting on the counter said the boarding gate is close.

When I reach out again to the ground staff to know what happen and what am I going to do with the ticket and how I am going to fly there were two lady. I don’t know their name. They were not attending me at all. They were disrespectful. There was not having a manner to talk to a customer. They were rude, they were disrespecting and they were very arrogant When and were not listening when I asked them, "There is a 9 o’clock flight. Can you give me that ticket?" The lady answered me the flight is not schedule. She made me to buy another expensive ticket and fly with terminal one which is I am not at all happy.

1st of all I am a customer of yours. You have to have a Little respect because I pay money for that. It’s not about the 5000 but it is about the respect which they disrespected me. I never did complain against anybody because I do work and I know how it is when somebody to complain against you so I never done that. This is my first ever time to book air India flight to fly to Bangalore. My worst experience in my life I have been flying. I never fly with Air India before. I want my money because my hard work money. You people can’t just take my money and tell me nonsense which I’m not going to listen.

I have already talked to them and they said that you people are not yet answer back to them so please even if it is hundred bucks I want because I'm not just wasting money on airline. I work very hard for it So you people can’t just eat innocent people‘s money and first of all teach some ** manners to your staff who is ** sitting there. Those ** old ladies who don’t know how to talk to a customer. If you people did not give me my money I will book a flight again to Mumbai. I am going there and I will be in the airport and I’m going to create a scene for you and your bloody airline. I respect everybody so they should respect me. I did not disrespect those two Lady so they should have not done that and as they have done and I am so pissed off that no matter what even if it’s 100 bucks I wanted. I don’t just ** care if I did not get even 100 bucks from you people.

I am going to the airport, booking a flight for no reason and I am going to create a scene there. I’m being very polite with all of you so you be better be polite with me. That lady was ** stupid for disrespected me and I do not accept that from any ** body. I have a Manas and I talk to people in a same way So as I am waiting for you people to give me a reply on my email which I have put it over here and I need an apology letter from those two lady who disrespected me. If you people can’t find out who they were I can come down and I can show you who they were. They were sitting in the evening or afternoon time. I don’t know when they were sitting there. It was my flight was 1640 that time they were there on the floor so please I need an apology letter from your airline and from those two stupid lady whom you talk to me in a disrespectful manner and I want my money.

Please kindly refund whatever amount it is to the Paytm people so they can refund it to me. That’s all I can say and I am really sorry if I use any kind of words which I’m not supposed to but as I am here I am really pissed off. I wanted to complain from long time but just because I did not heard from the Paytm people that’s why I have not yet complained but today I talk to them and they let me know I got a time and I had to write this to let you people know that this is how your ground Staff work. Your name of the airline is very big and I will be very glad if you people help me So I need an apology letter from the ground staff who disrespected me that’s all. My name is Nikita. Regards and respect and once again sorry for any kind of misuse word but as you people can understand I’m really pissed off just because they disrespect me. I have to come out and do this. As I boarded AI Flight 401 from Delhi to Kolkata on 8th Feb 2020, I realised that I had forgotten my coat in Plaza Lounge at T3. I contacted Ms **, who was helpful and rang up cabin crew in charge, Ms Neelam **. She was very helpful and contacted the ground staff, but there was very little time for the ground staff to retrieve it. Ms Neelam offered to have it flown by the next flight to Kolkata, which I declined, as I was returning next day. I was informed later by Ms Neelam that I could collect it from Lost and found Department, which I did not 9th Feb. Besides this, what was touching was when I explained to her that during the flight I was was a retired army general, and was headed to deliver a talk in a college, she even offered to arrange a jacket for me in Kolkata through her marathon running friends. My compliments to her and **. Thank you Air India.

Air India is the ** airlines ever. Please shut down asap so that you can stop harassing people. Due to a delay in our outgoing flight we missed our connecting flight and the staff did not make an effort to help us out. Even though there were more than 10 passengers they did not stop the connecting flight and made us take another one after 7 hrs. On top of that the staff was horrible especially ones who were sitting at the Mumbai airport. They were behaving as if they don't care. No interest for customer satisfaction. Govt should stop this airlines asap. Please don't travel by air India.

Dear Sir/Ma'am, I would like to take this opportunity to alert all my fellow friends and Air India passengers that if you are ever planning to take a flight AI 084 from GOA to Mumbai, please do not. The flight is always delayed till 2.15am which is originally scheduled at 23.20 with no one available from Air India side to attend to our grievances. The staff had pathetic behavior with one saying, "Please go ahead and contact our Airport Manager, we cannot help," and when tried to reach the airport manager, the calls went unanswerable. The whole situation was a blunder with their staff already aware of the delay, but pretending that the delay was caused due to unforeseen circumstances. When inquired, the flight gets delayed every night and that no details were given to the passengers! Finally, the staff didnt have courtesy to even ask for water while we all kept waiting for almost 5 hours to get into the flight.

Don't use Air India for your travelling purpose. I was a passenger of a flight from Kolkata to Dehradun on 25th December, 2019. My flight was rescheduled to Delhi instead of Dehradun without any proper arrangement at Delhi Airport. We have to wait at least 3 h 30 min to realize their arrangement up to 12 am at Delhi airport. The behaviour of ground staff was unprofessional. After that they offer us refund or accommodation on that day at Delhi with out any assurance of the next flight to Dehradun.

We choose for refund. After two weeks, 8th January,2020 I lodged a complaint regarding my refund. Today, 27th January, 2020, still I have not get any refund except a few mails for their active presence on online services. Those mail only showing one staff requesting other to solve the issue. I have all valid documents with me as well as the complaint and their reply. Flight details : AI691 CCU to DED (via VNS) on 25th Dec, 2019.

Starting from Mumbai airport to Newark Liberty international airport, they not only provide us bad service but tried to miss my flight. They stood us in long 2:30 hours line for check in luggage and boarding pass and when we entered on counter that staff person used rude slang to greet me and husband. In other words they are hired from uneducated background and not at all trained that how to deal with customer. They were extremely rude and dishonest and which is excruciating.

Similarly, they had given us different seats, first compartment for me and last compartment for my husband and when I had request them for the same compartment, he simply stated making argument and till then we were almost about to miss our flight because we were running out of time to get it. Somehow we reached to boarding area and caught the flight but after we made our mind that not to go with Air India airline in the next future at any cost. Air India is baneful.

W O R S T …. I am an International student in USA. I had booked my trip flight 7 months ago to come to India during my winter vacation. I booked Air India Nagpur to Mumbai at 9:10 pm so that I can reached on time for my KLM flight from Mumbai to Chicago at 2:45 am which was main flight. After that I have another US domestic flight from Chicago to Kansas.

I did everything thing I was reading for my trip to get back to my study in US. I was running quit late on time for joining college because of family issue.

On travel day like always I was doing web check-in for all flights. Which was 5 flight in total. 3 different airlines. I successfully did my KLM and Delta Airline’s check in. Now it was turn for Air India. I did and it was showing flight for tomorrow instead of today which was next day morning instead of tonight. I got suspicious and called Customer care.

At that time I got to know that my Nagpur to Mumbai flight got cancelled. What???? How??? I did not get any cancellation mail or message. I explained them about my international flight and they said they cannot do anything. After having so much argument with them. I finally gave up and started looking for alternative so that I can reach for my Chicago flight. I got an option of Indigo which was 1:30 pm and 8:46 pm. Cost over 20k Rs. And only 15 kg allowed. I had an luggage of 52Kg. What the heck!!… Extra charges for this luggage plus 70$ charges for US domestic flight.

It was going to cost me over 50k for this trip. And plus the hustle is different. I have never traveled from Mumbai airport before so I do not have any experience and knowledge of the airport. I heard that they have two different terminals for domestic and international. So I booked Air India so that I don’t have to struggle shuffling from one terminal to another. But I was back to square one. Worst feeling ever plus cost was bonus on it. After lot of thinking I booked another whole new flight for next day for 730$ Qatar. I lost my money.

Most importantly I lost my time behind all this. Just because Air India people did not find any time to email or message me about flight cancellation. I got my lifetime experience I will never gonna fly in Air India not even it is the last option I will ever have in domestic as well. 0 out of 5 stars. If I will considered how much I have lost because of Air India I will definitely give you -1 out of 5 stars. Worst customer service ever. I have fled in so many airlines. But this airlines have worst customer service ever.

I flew with my 11-year-old son from DEL to LAX (via HKG, then NRT) on Dec 30, 2019, landing at LAX on Dec 31st. We flew Business class and while we were checking in our luggage, we were erroneously charged extra. The Air India ticketing agent in DEL insisted that as per United Airlines policy, only 1 check in bag is allowed per person, and we had 3 check-in items. All bags were under the 32 kg limit per bag, but they would not allow all 3 unless we paid for the 3rd bag. We argued with them for a bit, showed them the email confirmation from United when we booked the flight, but they would not listen.

I feel they took undue advantage of us, and insisted that we pay US$255/INR 17,830 to check the 3rd bag all the way from DEL to LAX (via HKG, & NRT). It was a terrible experience. Since I only had USD, I paid them US$255. Since then, for the last 3 weeks I have been trying to contact Air India via phone and email, trying to get them to refund my money, but now they are not responding.

Never ever book a flight with Air India. They have the worst customer service in the world. They customer service representatives do not have any idea about what information they are providing. They don't even know if the passengers have to get off the plane or stay inside when there is a layover. We spoke with Aditya and he told us to speak with the flight attendants regarding this. We booked a business class Chicago to Hyderabad and we get this type of customer service after paying thousands of dollars. This guy absolutely has no idea what he was talking about and when we asked him to transfer the call to a supervisor, he simply said supervisor is busy and when we insisted, he put the call on hold and after 20 minutes the call got disconnected. Really? This is how you guys train your employees? I will never book an Air India flight again in my life and I strongly do not recommend anybody else do it either.

We haven’t boarded the flight yet and the experience so far has been so pathetic. No wonder why everybody says do not book an Air India flight. I bet if you take out a survey and ask people about their experience with Air India, 9/10 people will recommend you to not to take Air India. The least you can do is to train your customer service representatives properly so that people will, at least, have something good to talk about your airlines. My ratings is 0/10, wish there was an option for a negative rating and I would have given the lowest negative ratings for Air India.

I flew by Air India grim Delhi to Jaipur, Jaipur to Aurangabad via Delhi, Aurangabad to Delhi, Dehradun to Delhi, and Delhi to Chennai round trip. No delays, no cancellations, and perfectly on time. Clean takeoffs and landings. Professional crew that did a great job. Very decent food. From gate to gate, absolutely no problem. Saw quite a few improvements. Planes could be maintained a little better.

Booked on Air India about 3 months back for a family vacation. The flight was at 10 am. Landed at the airport at 7:45 am to check on when were told that the flight has been over booked. Instead of requesting if we would've okay to accommodate a later flight, we were asked to wait in another queue. From 7:45 to 9:30 am we were waiting at the mercy of the staff without any update on what they are going to do to us. The manager didn't seem to care much and told us to that this is due to weather related where as the flight was on time and leaving at 10 am. Neither of the other airline flight to Delhi had any issues and they were leaving on time.

Finally they did what they planned and put us on the flight at 1:15 pm which made our lives miserable and all our plans of 3 months down the drain. 4hrs at the airport without any proper reasoning. How can a booked reservation be bumped off. If they cannot get another flight to accommodate overbooked passengers then they should have at least booked us on another airline at the same time. Completely irresponsible airline which takes their customer for granted.

I traveled on Dec 18th from Chicago to New Delhi. I could count 10 broken USB ports in proximity of 52 J row. My TV was not functioning. Imagine 14 hr flight without entertainment. Staff stated that rear rest room was not functioning however, crew members where using it frequently. This happened on my return trip too. I mentioned to staff to write on the door "for Crew only". They were not happy with me. Imagine a full flight with passengers lined up to use the wash room. I counted 7 passengers waiting in line to get into on rest room. I enjoy travel. This was my worst experience. I formally complained to airlines. I know it is probably sitting in a trash can.

My check in bag was mishandled and delayed and I did not get it on arrival. In spite of reporting it they have been unable to find the bag. The number which is given for contact, nobody picks up the phone and no reply to email has been given till now. This is a very unprofessional behavior, and airline seems to not take the responsibility for mishandling the bag and are not being responsive and not helping the customer. My flight was from Mumbai to IAD on 12-13 Dec '19 and and even after reporting there has been no response. I will never be travelling with Air India again. They are not even compensating for it. Surely some serious action needs to be taken. Such kind of service is unacceptable.

Air India practices a con. The staff are terrible in dealing with problems of their own making. Customer care is non existing. You get auto confirmation of emails received and promises of attendance. No follow up happens. Six months now I have been sending emails for a ticketing issue and it is still not sorted. It is a good Air Line if you can put up with tired out grannies as stewardesses on some flights. I am sure in a emergency they would sit down and cry not being able to cope. Best thing they can do is sell out to private sector instead of ripping people off with below standard service in particular on international flights.

I & my wife travelled AI 466 flight from Kochi -Delhi on 8.12.19 at 8.00AM. When meal served at Seats No.24A/24B/24C I found that we were providing with small meal pkt containing one Idli & one small bowl fruit (papaya) whereas as other will get normal meal pkts contained so many items. May I know why such Discrimination when I did not & my next other fellow did not give any meal option and there is no such option for meal when I purchased the tickets from the counter. I brought the notice of Crew members but in vain. No reply.

Flight from JFK to New Delhi 6-7 Dec 2019. The crew is extremely unprofessional. They didn’t listen to our requests- they didn’t serve water for several hours even after our request. The small bottle which they provided at the beginning of the flight finished with 4-5 hours. It’s a 13 hours flight. Even after request the ladies didn’t provide any additional water. When we complained the attitude was unapologetic. They were rolling eyes up and sideways.

Besides this the electronic system at so many seats were not working- media, light, cabin crew calling. When we requested 4-5 times... each time the crew said - they will reset. After 4 hours they finally reset - but still the systems were all dead. They didn’t at the first place inform that the things are not working. Toilet supplies finished with few hours. They didn’t replace tissues etc. Besides this the attitude was not at all caring. Denying or not catering water is not justified at any level. They informed that they are contractors - when we asked that Air India employee should be called - even he didn’t turn up.

I had to call customer care 8 times (between 2pm and 1AM) to get my tickets changed. Initial calls were hung up by the call center. I was then promised a call back in case call gets disconnected but it never happened. Another agent promised a call back in 2 hours, again same result! At last, I managed to get through to an agent after midnight who helped me with one PNR but he refused to change the second as he was about to end his shift. But the job got done under 15 min. Fair enough! I called again for second PNR change. I was put on hold for 20 minutes this time without any update. Then, it took another 25 minutes to complete the process (45 min in total). Same job was done in 15min by previous agent! I am not sure why this airline doesn't offer such facility over web self service! Any how, finally, persistence paid off! Both tickets are changed at last! Thanks!

I am totally unhappy with the seat as it was not operational fully. I had spent about $4029.33 to have a proper sleep due the backache I got. I am totally unhappy with this journey. How can a business class seat not checked and cleared for travel. I demand a refund for this segment of travel. Attached my boarding pass. I have raised a complaint on Nov 26th 2018 and the status keeps on updating as below even after 14 months. I have sent many email to them. Every one says that they forwarded it to the concerned team, they don't let me know who they are nor the concerned team reaches me out. I am regularly sending reminder emails every month but in vain. This is Jaskaran ** and I booked my parents flight from Delhi to Melbourne for 6th December. As my dad recently gone for his knee surgery I bought extra leg room seats for both of my parents. As doctor recommended him not to fold his leg for long time. Even though I checked them online with same allocated seats what I purchased but when they boarded flight attendants said the seats have been changed and my parents have to sit somewhere else. I can feel the pain which my dad has to suffer in this long 12 hour flight. Flight attendant said the ground staff had done something which they are not aware of. If my dad suffer any issue with his knee I will be sue Air India as I have all the valid documents receipts of purchased seats as well as allocated seats when I check online.

I ask the flight attendant to take them off the plane as it would not suit his condition to travel on normal seat. She refused and hanged up and ask my mother to switch off the phone. Bang. I am not after refund or anything but I will sue you for harassment of elders. My dad is in his late 70s. That’s why he was boarded in a wheelchair on the plane. Seats allocated were 30E and 30D when I purchased 3500 rupee each. But when they boarded they were given 31 D 31 E no leg room free of cost.

I booked my flight from Bhubaneswar to Hyderabad for 9th Dec'19 on 24th Nov'19 at 10.30 AM. By mistake I entered wrong traveler name. I called the Customer executive for assistance and they asked me to visit the Air India city office in person to change it. I asked if there are any charges, they confirmed that there is no charge. Just few documents will be required to get the name changed. When I visited the office which is 30 Kms away from the city, Customer executive asked me to pay 4000 Rs as name change fee, when I asked them to cancel the ticket they are charging me Cancellation fee. Why these term and conditions were not informed upfront when I talked to customer care on the same day I booked the tickets? Customer care of this flight is not at all reliable, and provide the least possible information. Had they informed about cancellation policy and the name change fee I could have made a better choice.

Last 3 decades am using various airlines from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Qatar, now Saudi. My recent experience with Air India is unforgettable. Start with the check-in counter staff service. They are very professional. One is fully satisfied, easy, calm they master in handling any passengers. make them contented go with a smile. The in flight catering the dinner was served Mumbai Chennai flight, I was so hungry waiting when meals will be served, in no time the flight took off it was served. The meal was unforgettable well balanced vegetarian meal. Am proud of Air India. You are far better than any airlines I have experienced. Your baggage allowance comes 1st then your meals served 10/10 score. Thank you keep the same service enough. We are happy comfortable to fly Air India.

Hello Sir/Madam, This is in regards to my booking issue with Air India as below. Ticket online purchase number for Mumbai - Bangkok - Mumbai. Due to some personal issue I was unable to travel on 10 Nov 2019 flight on 1:45 am, AI330. On the same day I have informed to Air India customer care about the same and also confirm with them for the return flight as on 14 Nov 2019, AI 331 to remain unchanged. Air india confirmed that no modification or cancellation of my booking and return ticket will be remain as it is, booking confirmed. 2 ) I travelled to Bangkok by Indigo Airways (one way ticket) as on 10 Nov 2019 since my returned ticket confirmed with air India - AI331.

3) As on 14 Nov 2019 when I reach to Bangkok, Suvarnabhumi airport for my boarding pass. Air india staff refused to issue me boarding and asked the question,  how I was arrived to Bangkok and they can not issue boarding pass. After several attempts of request they simply tell me to purchase new ticket. I was become helpless and no option with me to return my home. They charged me THB 12530 /-. I m trying to contact air india to understand the reason but no response from ecommerce@airindia.com.

I have traveled to over 35 countries and flown with numerous airlines. Air India is by far the worse airline I have ever traveled with in my life. The quality of the planes is terrible; they are old, dirty, and basically falling to pieces. On my return flight from Delhi to JFK, only about 50% of the TVs worked on a 15.5hr flight, my overhead light didn't work on the flight there or back, so I couldn't even read without using the flashlight on my phone, and the seat (44K) had a hump in the middle of the chair where I could feel the metal prodding in to my back due to the frame being deformed.

The plane was dirty and disheveled with dirt, stains and spill marks all over the seats and around the windows, which never makes you feel comfortable and doesn't make you feel reassured as to the overall safety of the plane you are on! The food was also terrible with no imagination or variety in the meals... Plane yogurt was served with both meals, a croissant with cheese for one meal and another croissant with the other, etc. The air hostesses were clearly trying to appease customers by telling them they would try and reboot the electronics system, but then never came back to fill you in on what was going on with the entertainment system. Needless to say, my USB charger also didn't work.

The toilets were also disgusting. One was out of use, and when I finally managed to get to use the bathroom after having to wait for 7 people in front of me to go, there was no toilet paper, no hand towels, used paper toilets thrown all over the floor around the toilet basin, and dirty water all over the floor; it really was DISGUSTING!

I also flew to Delhi with Air India and then had a connecting flight to Jaipur with Air Alliance. Despite it clearly saying on their website that the 25kg luggage allowance would be honored, because they did not check my baggage all the way through, Alliance Air would not let me check my bag in Delhi without paying extra baggage allowance charges and insisted my bag was overweight because it weighed more than 15kg. I argued with them for over 20 minutes but they simply would not budge on the matter and insisted I pay them for my bag being overweight even though I had paid $120 more to book on what I thought was an Air India flight because they had a better luggage allowance compared with Indigo (given I booked through the Air India website, the flight number started with AI, and the email confirmation referred to it as an Air India flight I would have thought it was an Air India flight but apparently that wasn't the case!).

I might as well have saved my $120 and just flown with Indigo as their baggage allowance is only 15kg as well which is all Alliance Air insisted on allowing me despite me showing them my boarding pass showing I had just got off an Air India international flight and showing them screenshots of the Air India website saying the 25kg baggage allowance would be honored if you connected with an Air India flight either before or after your Alliance Air flight.

Simply put, the planes in use are old, tired, dirty and falling apart, and this does not fill you in confidence about the overall safety of the airline. Their fares might be cheaper than other airlines but I would highly recommend paying extra and guaranteeing cleanliness and some entertainment on such a long haul flight. The airline is also off to rip you off and get money out of you in whatever way they can. I would highly recommend anyone going to India use any airline but this one and just spend a little more for a better quality plane.

How come Air India flights always manage to get delayed? Even if there's no specific reason for the delay, they manage to piss me off every single time. I have to take a flight from BOM to DEL and further I have a train to catch from DEL. Every time I book a ticket with AI, I miss my train. This is the last time. I'll never ever recommend this airline to anyone. There's no respect for customer's time.

I am travelled from Toronto-Dubai-Hyderabad, I had Air India connection in Dubai to Hyderabad. Flight is disgusting. It was not clean, bath rooms are not clean. Can't able to use bathroom for 6 hours. Apart from that they charged me extra amount in Dubai, in Toronto they accepted my carry on Baggage with 7 kgs, laptop and handbag. But in Dubai they said I have to weigh both laptop and handbag. If Air India has a rule that all Including 8 Kgs they should mention it in their website, it should be visible when people are booking their tickets internationally and having connection. I will never take this flight again in future. My Total experience with Air India is not satisfactory, I won't recommend this Airlines. If I can I will give negative rating for this Airlines.

The staff in DEL has no idea about the Star Alliance partnership of Air India. They do not understand the basic rules listed on their own website. If you are traveling via a Star Alliance member into DEL you are allowed to carry an additional 20 KG BAG provided you are ELITE GOLD MEMBER OF A STAR ALLIANCE MEMBER. Good luck with explaining the same to the Air INDIA staff. They are rude and they are their own manager, therefore, you can not escalate any issue. I hear they are improving but I see them getting worse. Next time I will avoid this airline. BTW I had to pay an extra Rs 8000 for luggage due to lack of their understanding but I'm glad this will be my last trip with Air India. They do not deserve even a single STAR but I was forced to give a single STAR.

I have booked flight from Make my trip from Germany for Mumbai to Nagpur, flight number- AI 0627. I was travelling from Hamburg to Mumbai, then I had this flight at 5:45 in the morning. I didn't get any update of flight 4 hours delay, neither on my mentioned mobile nor email address. When I reached at the Airport I found this information & asked AI ground staff supervisor. He casually responded that it's delayed and said, "Your information is not updated in AI portal, since you have booked this ticket from MMTP." How illogical is that. I had also web checked in, & received boarding pass on my email. I am very disappointed now, after a long 15+ hours International journey, I need to spend whole night at Airport. This is how staff from Air India provide customer service. Very Disappointed!

I had booked using my United miles and since Air India is a Star Alliance partner the tickets to India included some legs via Air India. But they do not honor the star alliance partnership like other honorable airlines such as Lufthansa do. So they had cancelled my flights without informing me but on the United site it still showed up. This is a scumbag airline so do not use them. Not sure why United has not figured this out yet and thrown them out.

Also they cancelled my Goa to Mumbai flight and gave me a dummy receipt for a refund since I had gone to the counter at the airport and asked me to get the actual money from Travelocity since I had booked via them. I still have not been able to get my refund. This was a way to defraud the customer again. They exist to cater to their cronies and rich politicians and business men who know each other.

Air India has the WORST customer service. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I experienced awful customer service within seconds of booking. Impossible to reach customer service. You wait an hour and then the call drops, or they say a different department will call the next day and never return their call. I responded immediately when booking after mistakenly entering the wrong return date. When I finally got a hold of them, they said it was too late to change without additional penalties. I had documented call logs, unanswered emails, etc. Three representatives stated it was changed, and never sent a new confirmation or call.

Air India had a very long call waiting for last several months getting worse, but very recently they have improved dramatically. Seems like there is additional manpower assigned and lot of attention being given to this activity that had turned unfriendly. Also notice an improvement in their website booking services from former. Some improvements are visible. Hope one of the oldest airlines operating in the world turns around.

I had a return trip from Bangalore to Delhi. Unfortunately my corporate travel website only gave me the Air India option for this trip, so I had to book it. During my flight from Blr to Del, the flight was delayed by 3 hours. They did not send any message about the delay. Flight was at 5. It was delayed to 630 first and then to 745. The employee at the counter was surprised that I hadn't got any message, as if they are the most efficient airline. At 730 I got a message that it has been delayed to 630.

Getting to my return flight, it was at 725. Thanks to the airport entrance security chit chatting with each other and an Air India staff insisting that I print out my boarding pass, I reached the counter at 642. The lady issued a boarding pass, then realized that she shouldn't have after seeing that the boarding time was 640. Then she checked with someone else who straight out asked her to cancel my boarding pass. The flight was at 725 and I had 25 min to board. I could've easily managed it. Highly inefficient people causing a frustrating experience. Travel by Air India only if you don't care about wasting your time and are a highly patient person.

I was traveling from Coimbatore to Frankfurt (Coimbatore to Chennai to Mumbai to Frankfurt) on Saturday night 07-Apr-19 along with my spouse and kid. The itinerary of my travel attached for your reference. I have checked-in the baggage in Coimbatore airport and shall be checked out in Frankfurt only as per the information received from Air India Coimbatore.

Unfortunately the airlines “Flight AIR INDIA AI569” scheduled was cancelled from Coimbatore to Mumbai. The Air India, Chennai informed me to travel on another airlines “Go Air” and the baggage was returned to me in Chennai and they told us to check in the luggage with GoAir. The Go Airline employees removed the Air India tag during scanning the luggage. They have given the boarding pass and they haven’t tagged the baggage with our boarding pass. They told us to collect the baggage in Mumbai domestic airport even though the baggage ID was not tagged with the boarding pass. I had surprise news in Mumbai airport, the GoAir haven’t transferred the baggage from Chennai airport. I had an argue with them and I have given the complaint with GoAir and Air India as well in Mumbai airport.

Finally we arrived in Frankfurt and given complaint and they have responded properly and they haven’t given any commitment when the baggage will be delivered to me. I would need a compensation for my baggage delay (3/4) and one of my baggage has been lost. The three baggage which I have received after 7 days and struggled lot to manage for one week. Please find the attached documents for your reference. Frankfurt Air India team forwarded the request to Air India Delhi and they told us to wait from Delhi air India office. Contact Person: **. No feedback from him so far for my query and compensation. 6 months over.

I did a flight reservation from Detroit to New Delhi using Expedia.com (Detroit > Chicago > New Delhi). Since Air India site doesn't allow you to book flight directly from their site, as the business logic becomes too complex for them to handle. This reservation was for my spouse and kid (5 year kid). I called the customer care multiple times at different times of day on various days, but I was never able to reach the customer care. Every time I called the customer care, it said 10 minutes, but even after waiting for an hour or so, I was never able to reach them.

Then one day before the flight, the angels showered their blessings on me with a evil smile and I got a call from Air India Customer Care (you must envy me. I got a call from Air India Customer Care). The customer care informed me the flight from Air India (Chicago - New Delhi ) at 12:00 PM is rescheduled to 4:30 PM. This was an additional wait time from 3 hours to 7 hours for my spouse and kids (5 year old).

As if the 7 hour wait time was not enough for both my wife and kid, the wrath of Air India struck my wife in the final hours. During Chicago boarding the Air India lady asked for letter of consent from my wife to travel with the US child. My wife was carrying the US Passport and OCI of the kid. They wanted letter of consent from the father (I was in Detroit). This was never mentioned anywhere on the Air India site. They didn't even explain what kind of letter they need and they were not ready to talk to me on the phone. Finally after a lot of request on what has to be done. They informed my wife that I should send an email. I hurriedly composed an consent email and send it to my wife. She showed the email to the lady, who even didn't bother to read it. Finally the Air India Drama ended, and they allowed them to board the flight.

So to all the India parents in the US, who have US Kids (Kids with US passport ) and are travelling with a single parent (either Mother or Father, but not both together) or sending the kids with grandparents to travel, please provide a letter of consent to the traveller. Air India - Don't bite your customers and make them your enemy. It will lead to your ultimate demise much like Jet and Kingfisher.

My first experience booking with Air India - PATHETIC. I just booked tickets, it seems there is an auto-fill in my father's name. Customer care rep says to cancel the ticket within 24 hours as there is no way to change the name or update it internally and it will incur no charge as it is within 24 hours limit. SHOCKED!! I have to cancel it for changing a misspell with 2 hours. When I do that, it shows me 66% money gone. To solve this, another call or another rep and it again takes more than 45+ mins to connect with them. I really expected some good service as Air India is considered to be the prime representative flight for India on International waters too. Not sure where are they leading. Sad customer service, worse website and terrible experience within hours of booking. Small issues need to be escalated seriously!!

Did you book a flight through Air India? Do you have to make any changes? You are doomed!! Air India has the worst customer service on the planet, I wish there was a 0/5 rating instead of 1/5. Me and my wife have waited for more than an hour for past few days and still could not connect to any representative. Air India gives a damn about their customers, I am not booking flights through Air India in future.

Average wait time on customer service is over an hour if you are lucky. I got dropped after waiting for 45 mins. Have to restart. Even though they said the wait time for you on the call is 10 mins right in the beginning of the call. Once you book the flight, you should hope that you never has to call the customer service. To their credit, the rep whom I was talking to was actually helpful. It is just Air India needs to find more people to take care of the wait time, or at least have a call back feature.

I was traveling from DELHI to IAD. But there has been a delay in flight so I spoke with AIR INDIA agent. Waiting for 2 hours and cancelled my ticket with full refund back of money. It's been like 3 months. Till date there is no refund back and whenever I call on AIR INDIA customer care number they keep me wait for 2 hours and say they will transfer to their supervisor and they cut the lines. Which is very much frustrating of AIR INDIA behaviour. A BIG NO for this airways. Never ever I'm going to take this flight.

This was the first time I was flying Air India, and I have truly never used a worse mode of transportation ever, and I've been in public buses in Bangalore. Air India has the absolute worst aircrafts with the most ancient entertainment systems on International flights that really don't help in distracting you from realizing that you're trapped in a flying cupboard, at best. But that is a mere inconvenience in the harrowing experience that Air India considers to be an acceptable journey.

After missing my connecting flight at Delhi International Airport, thanks to the brilliantly inefficient airport security, and spending the night at the airport, when it was time to check-in to my new connecting flight, the Air India personnel at the counters were extremely curt, unhelpful and uncooperative about checking in my luggage that was already cleared from my previous flight. Upon boarding my next flight, I was welcomed to an uncleaned seat and food tray. Once I finally landed at my intended destination, Air India managed to lose one of my checked bags, which I was reconciled with after 6 days. This experience has definitely turned my family, friends and me away from Air India as future customers.

I had bought round trip business class tickets with Air India from Newark to Mumbai and onward flight from Mumbai to Nagpur. I booked it through Indian Eagle. While coming back my domestic flight from Nagpur to Mumbai got delayed by 2 hours. There was 45 min left to catch connecting international flight from Mumbai to Newark. I called airline to see if they can help with this situation. They said there's an 80% chance I'll miss flight but they can accommodate me in next day flight in case I miss it.

I made it in time to connecting international flight in time and found a different passenger sitting in my seat. I was told that the seat is allocated to different person since they thought I'll miss flight. They asked me to sit in economy or said they'll refund the difference amount. I'm waiting on call for more than 2 hours. Airline asks to contact agent and agent asks to contact airline. Customer service is most HORRIBLE. I have not seen worst customer service.

We had a flight from Hyderabad to Vizag on Air India flight. We thought it was a domestic departure and arrived there on time. The security told us it is international departures and needed to go there. There was no intimation/SMS from Air India regarding the departure gates/terminal. By the time we arrived, they mentioned the counter closed about 5 min back. There was still 40 min left for the actual departure of the flight and they absolutely behaved ruthlessly without even hearing to us. They didn’t even give it a try to check if it is possible to on-board us. Had to cancel the entire round trip. Will not take Air India in future and do not suggest anyone with this bitter experience.

I don't know where to start with, I am scratching my head to find any positive words for Air India. Rude, irresponsible, incompetent and inefficient. My parents travelled from USA to India. First thing they said was there is no ticket for one out of the two persons travelling on the same reservation, that too was on their way back to India after landing in Delhi (they finished more than 90% of their journey by then). They said my father does not have a ticket to travel to the final destination. After reaching, the baggage did not arrive. Filed a complaint at the airport. When we tried to follow up, Air India customer care keep on advising to go the airport. Airport office is closed half the time, rest of the the time, the phone rings but they won't answer. When we go in person, they tell you to call other airlines involved in the travel.

Based on all the calls I made, it seems that the airline you travel last is responsible for baggage. I understand the chances of baggage getting delayed, but more than 5 days with no response or any updates in spite of multiple calls and in person visits to airport office is extremely frustrating. They never took responsibility on their end, keep pointing fingers at British Airways which is the other airline involved in the travel. Every time I tried to call, their average wait time is over 30 minutes and of course, it is obvious why their call volume is high. I don't think they really care about their passengers or whether if travel with Air India or not in the future. That 'we do not care attitude' is shown throughout. I will be surprised if they give a damn about customer reviews or feedback. I would rather pay more and fly with a different airlines than choose Air India.

My friend had booked an Air India ticket from SFO to DEL. Without prior notice or communication he was asked to take the previous flight to DEL on the day of departure and this made him miss the flight. He was not refunded for this ticket. When Air India was totally at fault. Will never take an AIR INDIA flight. Unprofessional behavior.

Sir/madam, My name is Chandra **. We had a very bad experience. Today me with my baby (infant), sister and my mother (63 yr old), were about to fly from Hyderabad to Mysore flight no AI 9891 PNRNO - **. Our flight got delayed and it was scheduled to 7:50 am. We reached there by 6:30 and we were in the queue by 6:45am. The management was worst. There was a big queue, and worst thing about it is, all the Air India flight passengers were mixed up. We waited for about 40 min and when we reached the check in counter, they told us that we are late. The thing is they didn't announced anything about Mysore flight. We even asked there to the authorities (well long back before we reached the counter) and they told us, "before closing we will surely announce about it." But there was no announcement except for the Mumbai and Chennai flights.

When we asked about the same then they told us that they announced about the closure for Mysore flight before the announcement for Chennai and Mumbai flight, but we didn't heard any announcements and also we were there since 6:45, and even if they do so, it is completely wrong as the gate should close 45 min before. But they closed it before an hour! There were co-passenger too (and everyone were there with us, waiting in the queue and they told the same that they didn't heard any announcements) and we were total 4.

The in-charge name was Habiba and she didn't even showed any concern about the issue, neither the announcer who was Kumar **. At least they could've adjusted or else gave some concessions or else they could have adjusted it to the next day's flight but they didn't. There was no fault from our side as we were present there plus we were on time. We even asked them to check the CCTV footages but they didn't, instead they were rude plus they weren't giving any response. It was really a bad experience. That's all I can say. Kindly do the needful. My email id is **,phone no - **.

Irrespective of the customer representative, Air India customer service lacks information and ethics. This one representative I talked to regarding delayed bags, when she did not understand the different airline alliances and baggage rules, I asked her to connect me to her supervisor. She put me on hold for 5 minutes and later hung up the call. I was on the call for nearly an hour already. At last my issue is still not resolved. I'm not even sure whether AI looks at these complaints and work on customer satisfaction. Even if I've to pay little more money towards travel, I will take that up over travelling with Air India ever again.

I was a frequent flier member for over 15 years. Due to flying Jet Airways was not travelling Air India. Recently have started flying Air India and hence wanted to revive the FFP membership. Have been in touch with the department for over 20 days now and till date the membership is not revived. They work in absolute silos. Customer care call center ask you to send mail to one email ID. Then they respond saying the department is different and hence, "please send your mail to another email ID."

When asked for ID proof, I forwarded Passport copy and Aadhaar copy. Now they said it has to be self-attested. Post receipt of self-attested request, now they say the request should be made in the copy of the passport itself and not on the body of email. God save Air India. No doubt it has sunk and draining public fund. They certainly need to learn from private players if they have to retain customers. I am flying AI today as I have less options. the day I have another carrier like Jet Airways, will certain to stop flying AI for the service we get.

My daughter and I traveled on AI 102 from JFK to Delhi on 9th July 2019. Was shocked when we entered the cabin. Everything is falling apart. In bathrooms no soap. Monitors all broken. How do they expect the passengers to sit with any entertainment for 15 hrs. Same for my husband and son who traveled on the same flight on July 23rd 2019. My husband went back to New York on 1st August 2019 and same thing repeated. His monitor was again broken. Air India has no maintenance. They charge full fare but do not deliver even basic amenities.

I regret to inform that while coming from Delhi to Kolkata in Air India flight- AI-764, my luggage has been opened during carriage by someone and I have lost my stuff amounting to Rs. 7250/-. I had given 3 bags for Check-in, weighing 45kgs (also confirmed by Kolkata baggage security team with Delhi Airport authorities). When I collected my luggage from "Belt No. 6" in Kolkata, the chain of my luggage was open, despite of a lock. When I weighed it again with the Security officers of Air India - it weighed - 43.5 kg.

After checking I realised that 1 sweater, 1 Branded Perfume and 1 box of chocolates were missing - all amounted to Rs. 7250/- as I purchased from them Zurich, in Euros. Also, I regret to inform that we did not receive any satisfying response from the Security officers - headed by Mr. **, who firstly were not ready to believe that the luggage has been pilfered - giving excuses that the Weighing machine might give wrong results. Later when I found about the missing stuff in front of the whole team - they said that despite of the value of stuff lost - maximum they can refund me is Rs. 450 per kg lost, and they suggested me to go to any level for the complain and to not fly with Air India again and this is all they can do. When I asked them to make me meet their manager who will do the investigation, they said there is no one who I can talk to. This is highly disappointing and unprofessional from their end.

Worst experience with Air India. Never in my life again going to travel in Air India. I had flight from IAD to Hyderabad but they suddenly cancelled flight and informed just a day before and gave me other flight which was scheduled after 3 days of my actual travel date and with 14 hrs layover due to which I had to change all my travel plans and they don't even be accountable for that. And their customer care I guess don't even exist. I waited for 3 hrs in phone to speak with customer care but still I did not get chance to speak. Worst airlines.

I canceled flights to USA within 24 hours due to passenger’s medical issue. As per Air India Policy, they are supposed to give a full refund if the cancellation is in 24 hours for USA flights. I paid 1225$ and they refunded me 939$. I emailed them multiple times but haven’t received any response. Please help me get the full refund. My booking reference is **.

I have been using Air India for the past 30 years. At times service good and service bad. Never seen any consistency. Maybe be they don't have any protocol or guideline to follow. Glad I have money I can fly business. But that to something to talk about. This time coming back from Delhi to Chicago I felt like I did not belong to any class. Delhi to Zurich was okay but as soon as the new crew members came on board in Zurich things changed. 3 hours seating on the plane. Never anyone asked for a water or any drink. When I went to ask for a glass of water, I was embarrassed, crew members were eating - all 6 of them. (Mind you they just came on board). I was told to go back 2 my seat. Water never arrived. Until service started. Smile was hard to find. You have to fold your own blanket, pick up your own sandals. Boy oh boy I could not wait to get off this flight. Never again Air India. Run by the government and used and abused by the government.

Hi, I am Siva from the USA. My brother has a flight back to the USA (Chicago) from Vijayawada on July 8th. Because of flight's prepone schedule in Delhi (Delhi to Chicago), he will miss the flight in Delhi. We have been calling to the customer service at 8602331407/8002237776 several times each day and waiting for long hours to talk to the customer service representative, but no luck. "YOUR CALL IS IMPORTANT" - really?? So irresponsible!!

I am not sure how they are still in business. Everything about them smells bad. I had booked a business class flight from Newark, New Jersey airport to New Delhi, India. Here is the issue:

- They cancelled the flight and booked next day.
- I have been trying to call their US Support Number 800-223-7776. I called three times and decided to hang up after an hour each time. I don't believe there is anyone on the other side. The repeated message - "Your call is important to us" starts to sound most horrible thing I have ever heard.
- I go to web checking and I get message "your flight can't be found." What nonsense?

- I need to enter my frequent flier information and choose meal preference, the website drop down box for airline name and meal list is empty. Unbelievable!!

Is there anything that ever works with this airline. They are truly a disgrace to otherwise a great nation. I am going to send this review to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, after posting this review. Fixing the nation means also fixing its national airline as a top priority. If I were him (PM), I will fire the whole top brass or privatize this and not let this disgrace tarnish the image of otherwise a great country.

I had booked tickets from Washington to Cochin in Air India for June 2nd. They changed the time of departure several times and doesn’t care to inform us. On the day before the journey we came to know they cancelled the flight for June 2nd. And my travel date was changed to June 3rd. Me and my 8yr old son was traveling under an uncertain timings by Air India. On June 3rd the flight was late by 2 hrs. We spend almost 5 hrs waiting for the flight and we missed our connection flight to Cochin.

We reached Delhi airport and waited for another 5hrs for the next available connection flight (after the long 16 hr flight). We booked this flight in the belief that luggage will be through till our destination airport (Cochin) but had to collect the luggage at Delhi and again check in. Was such a horrible journey with lots of tensions and uncertainty. Will never recommend or book in Air India flight.

I have never seen a chaotic customer service in my flying experience as I experienced at BOM. AI customer service were callous, insensitive and outright unprofessional. I waited more than three hours to have a ticket reissued for a missed flight which should not have taken more than finite. There were more than four representative doing favors to those who they knew or connected with and treated other stranded passengers for flights to Lucknow, Varanasi and Patna. At times at appears that they did not know what they were doing. When asked about a supervisor, no one provided the names or cared to give their own names. I never felt so helpless as I did at the AI customer service. They even did not know what Star Alliance affiliation means. Shame on AI customer service at Mumbai Airport.

My mother has travelled through Air India from Minneapolis to Hyderabad on June 26th. We had 2 check-in luggage which were delayed which they told they didn't have time to send to Hyderabad on time. They said they will do home delivery on June 30th. They sent 1 baggage at night 11pm with a FOSSIL watch missing which is worth 100$. After multiple calls and rude customer service from the stupidest airlines sent the second baggage on July 1st is almost empty. I don't know what to say. Steal, rob or fraud airlines that we lost clothes, perfumes, chocolates and everything.

This is a ** and Fraud airline company who didn't deliver our luggage immediately but have stolen all the items and their baggage claim is the worst of all. I don't trust this airlines and shame to travel to India using this Airlines. Please anyone don't ever book tickets through this airlines for short duration. I mainly booked this flight as it was short duration where they charged me $1500 for the ticket and have 500$ of lost baggage. Shame on you Air India. Hope others will see this review and stop booking flight using this.

Horrible flight experience on Executive class flight from DEL to JFK, NY. My Seats never worked!!! DEL to VIE - seats won't recline and I was given a hard box as a footrest (Lol) for 10 hr flight and a promise that these will be fixed at Vienna during fuel refill on a nonstop flight. AI changed my 10K Business class seats to 9C, Not much of help as the seat will remain flat and never come to upright position except by manual help of two strong male flight attendants. The entertainment system is 2 decades old and worked after 20 minutes of resets. Asked for 2nd single malt drink and they said they ran it out pick something else. (Really?) Attendants tried to help but I travelled 20 hours with non-functional seats. I requested to give me at least economy empty seat as I was very tired. Really disappointed by Quality standards maintained by Air India. Lodged complaint on Air India portal and there has been no response for 20 days.

CHICAGO-DELHI : I had booked a flight through their website on Dec 26, 2018, 8:49 PM (Central Time). I canceled the reservation at Dec 27, 2018, 8:12 PM, which is within 24 hours of the booking confirmation. I only received part refund, with 350 USD missing. I have tried tens of times to reach their customer service number 1800-223-7776, but I am left on hold by the automated system with "Your wait is 10 minutes" without anybody picking up for well over an hour each time I tried. So far I have not been able to reach them. I even wrote an email to them on the email id that they provide on their website but with no response.

If there was an option to give zero stars I would have given that. Below are my grievances caused due to their service, when I had booked 5 tickets (AI101 & AI102) from New Delhi to New York for my husband's and my parents and my grandmom:

1. Not updated website & lack of proper communication to customers: First of all, I booked these tickets since this was the shortest duration flight that was available on the day. After booking, two days before the flight, they sent an email stating that the flight will be rerouted via VIE (no other info was provided). I understand this change in route was unavoidable, but the communication to the customer was unclear and insufficient. I had to check separately how this would impact the flight duration & arrival time. (No info provided on their website!!) This increased the flight duration by 5 hours, and I had to rebook their connection flight in addition to booking hotel accommodation (additional $1000 spent in the process).

2. Unreliable service and not providing service what you paid for: I had paid extra for each seat so that everyone could get a comfortable seat ($35-50/seat). I wanted my grandmother to feel comfortable and also considering this is a long flight, wanted to seat all of them together so that they could talk, etc. The airline seated all five of them separately (none of them got the seat I had paid for), in spite of having paid extra money!!! They did not refund the money either.

3. Unresponsive customer service: In order to ask for refunds for the seats, I stayed on their call twice for at least 35 minutes for each call and there was no response.

I am very disappointed by their service. Would never use them for any international travel and will never recommend them to anyone!!!

Please do not EVER book tickets with this horrible airline. Their customer service and every-thing, rescheduling flights/flight cancellations and EVERYTHING needs to be revamped. NO actually I lie, they to just stop being an airline. There are better airline companies out there. Air India you suck, you guys are so bad it's not even funny. I can be the CEO and still do better than the current guy that's running this place.

I have booked 4 tickets on 28 May 19 from Ahmedabad to Delhi of 05 Jun 19 under LTC quota with Web Reference: ** and Booking reference no (PNR): ** (AI) (attached soft copy of tickets) with TOTAL TICKET AMOUNT: INR 48,144.00. I have cancelled two tickets out of four. I have cancelled the ticket through customer care phone number as they have informed me that there will be nil cancelation charge for tickets under LTC quota and my cancellation reference number is ** on 02 Jun 19.

So, I request you to please take necessary action to refund the full amount of two tickets as informed by your customer service provider i.e INR 24,072.00 in my account. I have mailed the details many time to E-commerce of Air India but they didn't respond till now. Customer care call center putting the calls on hold for 30-30 minutes, then also didn't respond well. Even they are not listening to me properly, only saying one sentence that 'we can't do anything in case of booking online, you should contact E-commerce'. E-commerce number is always busy. Even if they receive they put my call on hold and then disconnect.

Due to Air India flight from Amritsar to Delhi delayed. I missed my connecting flight of Air India from Delhi to London and also from London to Toronto. Nobody helped me and they simply said I have to buy a new ticket for connecting flights. I spent 1500$ on those tickets, now because of Air India I missed my flights. They really don’t care about their customer and I have to spend additional 1800$ for my new tickets. Unprofessional Staff!!

Air India flight was supposed to take off at 11 pm IST on 15/06/19 but let us cook in the flight for some 3 hours while mending a technical fault in the aircraft. Then at 2 am the aircraft becomes grounded & we are requested to deplane to board another aircraft. Further we are subjected to a security check a second time which also became a harassment as there was hardly any staff to speed up the unnecessary process. The small children had become very fussy by 3 am. Then we boarded the next flight running to the next opposite gate so that flight could now leave in a orderly fashion. But after 15 minutes an announcement was made that the pilots had to deplane because of some regulations. With no further explanations about the current situation, there’s an announcement "Please open gate l2."

At 5 am with much confusion people started deplaning the aircraft a second time only to surround the two ground staff for some kind of explanation. It was really shameful to explain to the foreigners who didn’t understand Hindi that it's okay for the National Carrier Of India to behave in such fashion. But my biggest challenge of the night was dealing with my own 3 year old who was so excited, didn’t sleep until 4am in the morning & was constantly asking ‘when’s the plane gonna fly, when do we get on our cruise??’

I have booked tickets between Kannur-Delhi-Kannur for July 31 and August 7. Today, 13th June 2019, I received 3 emails from Air India, stating some reschedule of the flights. The change was not clear and it seems they have some changes in my meal plans as well. So I wanted to check the status of my booking using their website - manage my booking option. When I tried it, and entered my booking confirmation number and last name in order to retrieve the booking, it was showing "unable to load the reference", despite providing the correct details. So, as the next option, I tried to call their customer care using my mobile from Dubai. On the first instance, I have been put on hold by their IVR machine for about more than 30 minutes, and my charge got finished and the call got disconnected. Being an international call put on hold for this long, the cost of this call was approximately 1,350 INR.

I have immediately recharged my mobile with sufficient balance and tried again to contact them, this time, right now, I am in the 58th minute of the call, no attendance so far. I am still kept on hold. Now it is 9:01PM in UAE. This call costed me so far approximately AED 145 (2682 Indian Rupees). Meaning, on my ticket, I have spent approximately 4,000 rupees so far, but for nothing useful. The system is so horrible that, the communication is not clear, customer need to check the website. Website doesn't work properly, that's why I am in the process of calling the further horrible customer service call center, one of the worst services I have came across so far in the airline industry. It is not at all acceptable to any customer to wait for more than 1 hour and 3 minutes as of now, unattended and kept on hold. If there is anyone responsible in the organisation, I would appreciate to receive a feedback on this issue.

Me and my husband flew AI 0142 on 8/6/19 CDG-DEL-BOM to begin with;

1. The call buttons, the screens on the row 34G& 34H were Inoperative.
2. When contacted the crew on ground in Paris, they said they will reboot the system and it will take 15mins.
After 20mins we were still on ground and I spoke to the Purser who showed me the Main Screen that had crosses which meant the systems on row 34G& 34H won’t work for the rest of the flight!
3. My seat had no headsets, no pillow.
4. The immigration form was distributed to just half of the cabin.

5. The cabin was rarely secured during the flight or before landing!

After feeling anxiety and being helpless I requested the crew to change our seats and they said the flight was full, we noticed 3 seats on the Last row vacant but the crew refused to accommodate us as they were for the crew to rest. Although we said we will give them the seats when they wish to rest after service! As I understand we as passengers were sold INOP seats, we were lied to that the systems will work and once in Air were told that nothing can be done! It was one of the most unpleasant experiences due to the Airline that is degrading rapidly. The crew also completely lacked Hospitality!! I prefer ending my comments like the crew did all the time with some swachh bharat nonsense that I didn’t see onboard and a Jai Hind.
