I had a promotional financing for my wedding ring for my wife. I thought it was 24 months but found out it was only 18 months. The finance charge was $2000 on a $4000 purchase - 50% interest charge!!! I tried to call - once I realized what happened to get some relief to a 50% interest rate and they refused. I went up the chain of people, 1st rep, 2nd Evon, 3rd Perri, told me they would NOT relieve any of the charges even if I paid in full the total balance. There was no notification that this was expiring via email or phone call. If my payment was late, they called every day, send emails relentlessly. NO email or call warning me that they were going to double my balance and charge 50% interest rate. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ZALES!!!! This is ridiculous that they can charge that much interest to anyone. It should be illegal.

Zales has extremely deceptive advertising. I wanted a diamond ring for Valentine’s Day 2020. I looked at their website and all across the top of the page talks about guaranteed delivery by 2/14. I went to their Valentine sale section and selected a ring and bought it. When I got the confirmation email it said I had free 2 day shipping and and then it said ETA of 2/28!!!! I contacted their online chat and explained that I bought this for Valentine’s Day and they told me it takes all that time for processing. What?! I’ve purchased from small indie brands that are able to ship same day or next day but a huge corporation takes 1-2 weeks to even ship an order!!!

Their chat customer service was absolutely useless even after I spoke with a manager. They literally copy and paste the same things over and over again. I tried contacting them on Twitter with the same insulting copy and paste results. So I didn’t get my ring on Valentine’s Day. To add insult to injury they ended up shipping it the day after Valentine’s Day. I reported them to the BBB for false advertising. I can’t believe how horrendous their customer service is. I’ll never buy anything from a company owned by Zales. I told my husband I never want anything from this company again. I’ll be buying from my local jeweler that actually cares about their customers. I still haven’t received the ring and it better be amazing or else I’m taking it to a store to return it. I might return it anyway because I’m so disappointed with their lack of customer service.

I was a long time customer of Zales for years. In 2018 I made a large purchase of jewelry. The sales rep talked me into applying for a line of credit in order to take advantage of the interest free program. She stated the interest would start to accrue if not paid in 18 months. My plan was to make small payments and a large payment at the end. Today I went to make that payment and saw a large $2000 interest charge applied to my account! I called Comenity Bank and spoke to quite a few people. I was told by the bank the interest starts at time of purchase and is added at the end. I’ve never encountered this before. Of course Comenity Bank refused to reverse the charge. I feel very deceived. Zales has not been sending me statements to my new address nor wireless. I shouldn’t have been so trusting.

I purchased the agreement to have my jewelry cleaned and serviced every 6 months. My jewelry is returned to me and doesn’t appear to have been cleaned or serviced. Zales is very helpful when selling but not much help afterwards. Zales has gone down so much in quality and service. I will never make another purchase there again. Please be careful of their credit trap. I shouldn’t have been so trusting. This has been an expensive lesson.

I purchased my tungsten wedding band from there along with my wife's wedding band and a necklace for her. Her wedding rings were fine along with the necklace. The staff in the Chicago Ridge Mall location was rude and really seemed like they do not care about the customers. After having my ring for over year it broke. I took it back to the store that I got it from to see what could be done about it. Again I was treated rudely and the staff had the same attitude about not really caring for the customers. After this last experience I will take my business to another jewelry store. Being a tungsten band I would have expected better quality.

I purchase a silver cross necklace from a Zales store outlet that was closing in my neighborhood. It was supposed to be a gift. The gift was never given. I tried to return it at Zales in Pearland Texas and was told that, "We DON'T TAKE ANYTHING FROM THAT STORE." My receipt does not say ALL SALES FINAL. When I purchased the necklace the receipt read Everything Must Go and up to 40% off. Zales could offered a Store Credit to an OPTION to resolve the issue. To add insult to disappointment the sales lady (Michelle) told me of another who tried to return a item from the closing location who got extremely upset with them. She stated that HEADQUARTERS SAID DON'T TAKE NOTHING FROM THAT STORE. I will continue to tell my story all over the internet.

Bought a diamond and emerald ring from Zales on 31st Oct, 19. One emerald fell out less than two months later - on 30th Dec. Sent an email to the address on their contact us page. No response. Initiated a chat with a customer service rep who was a master of doublespeak and refused to answer my repeated and clear questions about whether they would replace the emerald free of charge, as it was clearly a case of poor workmanship. I wore the ring approx 15 times. Thus ensued a very frustrating hour, with her first telling me they have no record of my email, then saying they “turn off their email“ over the holidays!??? Then she uploaded all kinds of warranty info but then said I had no warranty.

When I said there has to be coverage against defective workmanship she said I had “coverage of the stone” but that the ring was not returned within the “return timeline”, which she failed to clarify. Then she came out with this gem: “As per the warranty you do not have none (sic) since the diamond bond was voided.” What does that even mean? Extremely frustrating and no closer to getting my ring fixed.

Fiance purchased necklace for $160 and paid cash. I didn't like it (chain was thin and not long enough for me) so I told him to return it. He says the Zales store couldn't return it because they didnt have enough cash in the register. He was told to call back and see if and when they had the cash. I called corporate and they said we should have been given a check request. I then called the store to ask whether the check could be sent to the store and we could return the necklace and pick up the check at the same time. I was told no. I don't feel comfortable returning a necklace without getting our money at the same time. I'll have to call corporate again to see if something better can be done. How awful is a business that can't give you cash back for an item that you paid? Do they not have cash on hand? Needless to say, we will never do business with zales again ever!

My now husband proposed on Christmas Day 2018. I was over the moon and the ring he chose was gorgeous. It was difficult turning my ring over to be sized down, but that's the price you pay for having small fingers. I was told I would have my ring in three weeks. When I went to pick up my ring, it was scratched both inside and out on the band from the resizing. I had to send it back. After another three weeks, my ring came back and the band was very thin from fixing the scratches. I was told if I wanted to have the band the same size, I would've had to pay for the extra white gold. I was furious as none of it was my fault and Zales' repair center should've never sent it back in that condition.

The store ended up replacing the ring, but sending it back AGAIN for resizing. Once again, my ring was sent off for yet another 3 weeks. Finally, I got my ring back but they failed to stamp the ring 10K like I asked. I felt like I was without my ring during my engagement more than I had it. When it came time to have my engagement ring and wedding band sautered, I was just waiting for it to come back with problems. It did. I asked for my engagement ring and my wedding band to be stamped and neither were. I've had my ring a year now and I'm about to send it back once again because a diamond has fallen out. I am very disappointed as I have yet to really enjoy my ring. My husband regrets going to Zales in the first place. It was supposed to be a happy moment in our lives and we've had disappointment after disappointment. (I have pictures of every disappointment that I would gladly show someone at headquarters.)

As of 1015am on December 24th, there is no shipping update, and no ETA as to when the order will ship. A company such as Zales is expected to have better customer service, but that is obviously false. Not a single customer service rep was able to provide any updates, they refuse to honor the original purchase price so that I could just purchase my item at a local store, and refused to assist in any way.

Basically, I got a, "Sorry for the inconvenience but there is nothing we can or will do for you." So now I'm left, a gift short on Christmas day, because zales holds their customers orders until the very last second to be processed and shipped, and when they fail to follow through on their end, they are unable to do anything to help the customer. This is the first and last time I will ever place an order with zales. If you require a gift for someone that is only available on their website, second guess making that purchase unless you have more than a 4 week buffer to get your item because they obviously can't produce positive results.

My husband and I tried three times to get what was advertised for my wedding ring. We're students and I don't like diamonds, so we went with a smaller, lower priced set with lab created sapphire in Sterling silver which we ordered online as the store did not carry it. The ring arrived and was missing two stones. So we took it to the store where we were told it would be best to return the ring and buy it again. However, the store would not match the original sales price. Awesome.

The second ring arrived and it had a crack in the band and was also missing a stone. The two bands were also not equally sized, so we had to pay to have it sized. Our wedding was very near, so we didn't have time to return it yet again beforehand. Our photographer did her best with the close up shots. We returned to the store again to see what could be done. An associate told us specifically that they couldn't do anything about it as we did not purchase their diamond protection plan (on a ring that didn't have any diamonds...?), but they could send it off for an estimate. Dissatisfied, we returned a different day and spoke directly with the manager, who was able to do a customer satisfaction replacement.

Ring #3 arrived and it looked pretty good. We were feeling better about everything and were just happy it had all been resolved. Nope. Within 30 days a stone fell out. Now, I'm not hard on jewelry. I took my ring off every day for work so it would stay in good condition. There was no reason other than faulty workmanship that THREE rings should be damaged in the span of SIX MONTHS. We returned to the store once more for a refund. The same crappy associate from before waved us away, as he didn't know how the manger had handled the transaction and couldn't really do anything about it. He suggested we return to see the manager again.

Quick note: we live 40 minutes from the store. Over an hour wasted each time we had to go into the store. We made at least seven total trips to this store, which means nearly 10 hours on the road to sort this out. We both have school and full-time jobs. This was just ridiculous. We called before we drove out again, spoke to the manager on the phone, and got a direct promise that a full refund would be given once we returned the ring. Originally we were offered store credit, but we made sure to point out that we had no desire to shop with this company again. Deal. We drove out one last time to drop it on their counter, grabbed the receipt that stated we would be getting a check in the mail, and left. We got that check yesterday, so at least that was prompt.

Overall, horrendous experience. The manager was the only person in this store that seemed to have a clue what they were doing. We were treated like nothing by other staff members for not buying more expensive merchandise and waved away when we just wanted to be done with the whole ordeal. We got our money back and will not be doing further business with Zales. My wedding ring was replaced with a gorgeous diamond ring from a reputable local New Orleans jeweler and has not had any issues.

The first couple years were fine, I went in every 6 months for inspections, with no issues. About 7 years after purchase, a diamond fell out of the engagement band, and I brought it to Zales in New London, CT, and they sent it out for a replacement stone since the warranty covered the loss. When I got the ring back, the stone was noticeably smaller and cloudy, unlike the original stone. (The entire set was certified). So, I figure it's not that big of a deal, I was happy with my set.

The US Navy moved us to San Diego, CA and we kept up with our inspections for 10 years, missing only a couple times (but they would inspect it and let it slide). Then my husband retired in 2015 and we transitioned into civilian life and we moved to rural North Dakota. I missed a couple inspections as it was challenging to get to town etc, but I went in on April 2016 and was told that because we had the ring over 15 years, I no longer needed the lifetime inspections. So, I stopped going in for inspections. My ring was beautiful, and I loved it so much! Fast forward to last weekend when TWO of the stones on the engagement ring fell out.

I went to the local Zales and they 1) had no record of me being a client with an account, even after me giving them every phone number and address I have had since becoming a customer 17 years ago and 2) said that my warranty was void because I missed inspections. I asked them how much it would cost to pay out of pocket for the diamonds, so they FINALLY found my account (after I showed them the receipts with my current phone number on it, which I had given them numerous times). So they send my ring out for an evaluation.

I get a call a week later saying that my ring was too compromised that they would not be able to repair it, in a voicemail. So I went into the store with my husband to pick up the ring, and to ask some questions. The associate told me that the gold was "deteriorated" and was unable to be fixed and it was not worth the time to fix it. I asked her if the gold had depreciated in cost, or what exactly happened, however she was unable to answer my questions. SO... I ask her, "Even if I pay for this out of pocket, Zales won't repair my ring because it's not worth it to them" and she said, "Yes, pretty much."

So, in short, the lifetime warranty is a SCAM. They make you retain your original paperwork with the hopes that you lose it or miss inspections that will void your warranty and they will get to keep the money without following through on any repairs. I am honestly just disgusted. We spent a significant amount of money there, and they simply rely on most couples divorcing after 5-10 years so they get to pocket the money from a ring that no longer has emotional value. The sales associate was taken aback when I asked her how long the warranty would be on the work (that they refused to do if they could do it) and she said 6 months. So, essentially, Zales is banking on you 1) losing your warranty paperwork and 2) getting divorced and no longer needing the ring.

Not only that, but HOW in 2019, does zales not keep a database of accounts that INCLUDE inspection details. I mean come on. IN 2002 when the ring was purchased I understand, but seriously, get with the mother-loving program. Very dissatisfied and honestly will never shop there again. Their treatment of Veterans is appalling.

About two years ago I sent my wedding ring to Zales in Bridgewater Commons Mall for resizing. After I gave them my ring for them to do the job, there were not any message anymore about my ring. I went to their shop twice during these two years asking if my order is done. They said there is no order made in their shop at all. I was so shocked but could not say anything at all and just went back home, since they said so firm I didn't have an order with them. Since then I constantly feel said and sometimes had nightmare in my dreams. The wedding ring was a gift from my mother who brought it for me as a gift. I couldn't tell her that I lost the ring she gave me but could only keep silent and leave the bad feeling for myself. I thought I had lost the ring forever but really didn't understand how this was happened.

One day in last month, an employee in Zales called me and asked if I ever placed an order in there shop years ago. Yes!! I said. I was so excited and also felt so bad to hear that they had found my ring now, which had made me many worries and nightmares until then. When I finally came to Zales shop and meet the lady who called, she apologized that they have mislocated the ring and only found this order recently by accident. Then she offered giving me a 10 percent off discount for customer satisfaction. I accepted her apology and ready to go on and forget about the unhappiness.

However, when I came home and made phone call to ask Zales refund my 10% discount, I was shocked and confused again. The customer service in Zales office said there is no such thing as 10% discount for me. I was so confused. Why the person in Zales shop said she would offer discount but the main office said no? I called back to the lady in Zales at Bridgewater commons shop and asked this question, she didn't gave me a direct answer...

I cannot say anything but shocked. If you said that you are going to offer me discount that you should keep the promise. If you couldn't offer discount then you should not tell me you will offer me the discount. There is nothing complicated about this, why you cannot communicate to customer properly? After all, I still feel very bad and confused. I don't know how much this incidence have caused me, how am I going to trust this shop? how does it follow the rules that they told their customers? I am totally confused and have no faith to have a business with them.

The ring my fiance got me is beautiful and so perfect for me. BUT everything to do with the company is just...off. First, my fiance misplaced the paperwork because he didn't want me finding it. When it was approaching time for my 6-month inspection, he contacted Zales and was given a copy of the inspection form and was told his account could be looked up with the number on that page. I took it in at the end of October (and had a very strange 'customer service' experience). Less than 3 weeks later, a diamond fell out of my ring.

LUCKILY it fell into my sweatshirt pocket so I had it in tact. I took it in, and was told that if I lost the diamond, that would be covered, but the setting itself is only covered under the Lifetime Protection Plan. My fiance thinks he purchased that, but of course can't find the receipt so couldn't say for sure. The store manager couldn't find his account or any record of him buying the ring, despite having the information on the inspection sheet. She even said that it looks like a faulty ring and that there's no way that damage should be a problem 8 months from the purchase date. It is now shipped out to be fixed and I will have to pay $80.

I purchased diamond earrings and a necklace for my daughter's 10th birthday. The items did not arrive when I expected them so I called to get an eta and credit for the expedited shipping on one of the orders. I called in and used the automated system and it did not give me any information. I used the online chat and was given information that I wasn't aware of so I decided to call and speak to someone to get a better understanding of what was going on with the orders. It took me forever to get through the automated system, there was a long hold time. The first customer service representative's name was Kate, I believe, and because of the experience I had with her, I decided to cancel and return the orders and spend my money elsewhere.

I will not do business with a company if when there are misunderstandings or mistakes, no matter whose part... if that is the kind of service I can expect or have to tolerate when I call in about an issue... No sir. She is paid to have a pleasant and professional tone and to provide great customer service. Her tone was unpleasant and unprofessional, she was rude and continued talking over me. I had to ask her to stop and she continued anyway. I hung up on Kate because I was not going to waste any more of my valuable time with such poor service. She couldn't find one of my orders without me providing the order number. How are you going to try to dominate a call with a bad attitude and you can't even pull up an order. That is why I felt she was incompetent.

There are other ways to locate an order without the order number. I placed an order at 2:07 am after being up since 5:00 am the previous day! This was my first time ever shopping with Zales. I called back hoping that the next person who answered would be better. He sounded like he was tired and didn't want to be bothered and transferred me back into the system. I believe the next individual was a young lady by the name of Monica, she couldn't help and had to transfer me back into the system.

I hung up and called back, finally got a young man who communicated the issue and order information to the manager Andrew. If that young man and Andrew would have been the initial customer service representatives earlier in my experience I would not have just gone to another authorized retailer to purchase my daughter's first diamonds or canceling/returning these orders for a credit. I will not waste my time with Zales again. I recommend consistent coaching and professional development for Kate and any other customer service representative or leadership employed at Zales who may need it.

On Sunday 6/2/2019, We went to Zales at Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream to have the diamond replaced. As we entered the store we were greeted with warm smiles and a pleasant welcome from Layla, Sales Associate and Myisha the Assistant Manager. Layla tried to assist us but could not find our information on their system. She gave us the number for Gordons' Customer Service Dept. We spoke to a Gordon's customer service rep but she was of no help whatsoever. The rep told us there was nothing they could do without the original documents.

My wife and I were extremely upset and frustrated that in this age of technology, our information could not be found. As we were about to leave the store Layla said she wanted to check the system again. Her persistence paid off and saved us approximately $200. She found our information and discovered that the telephone number and name in the system were entered incorrectly. She made the correction and updated our data. As we waited, I observed the staff and their interaction with the customers. The Assistant Manager, Myisha, Layla and the rest of the staff were all very pleasant, courteous and professional. We left the store feeling very satisfied with the service we received. Thanks again Layla. You're the best!!!

I purchased a customized mother's ring for my wife on their website 10 days before Mother's Day (their site's deadline for custom orders to be delivered before the day). 5 days later, my transaction is still pending, so I sent an email to their customer service to see if there's some sort of problem. I got a form email in response, stating that they'll respond in 3 to 5 business days.

The next day I call, and talk to a representative that says that my ring is definitely going to be delivered on time, and that the transaction status will change only when the ring ships. Seems reasonable, but if my pizza company can tell me if they're putting toppings on a pizza or if it's in the oven, I think a jeweler can do something similar, but whatever.

The following day, 2 days before Mother's Day (mind you they have my package on delivery with 2nd day air), and I send another message at about 5pm because the ring still hasn't shipped. By 8pm I received my first honest response: the ring is delayed, and may not show up for another 10 days. The reason? They'd had a problem with one of their suppliers. What was missing? Couldn't you have called or emailed to ask if I'd like a substitution? I can be flexible, and with all the customizable options available, I can't imagine I wouldn't have been able to work with them to find something that was available to arrive on time.

Sometimes the perfect gift is the one that just shows up when it's supposed to. My wife likes all 3 shades of gold, we both believe that if a simulated stone looks like a genuine one, it's a fine substitution so long as it's durable. I honestly could've worked with them, but they didn't give me a chance. So they offered me a 10% discount, and an apology. Communication would have been preferred.

I got my ring on Saturday and by Monday morning, THREE diamonds had fallen out!!! Of course I called both the local store and national customer service line to complain. My only option is to send it out again for another 3 weeks for them to tighten any loose stones once again and replace the THREE that have fallen out. It is ridiculous that a brand new ring that was sent in for sizing and tightening of lose stones would have THREE diamonds fall out after only wearing it 2 days. I purchased a diamond ring for my wife at the Zales store in Aurora, Colorado in summer of 2017. I’m not an expert on diamonds, or jewelry in general; however I have a basic understanding of the price of the materials used to make jewelry, and the overhead inherent in the cost of bringing the product to market. The in-store selection at the location seemed to be quite wide, and the saleswoman was able to confidently describe the available items to my wife and help her find what she had in mind.

When my wife decided on a ring which she would enjoy wearing, we were told that we could offset some of the initial cost by opening a Zales credit account with a two-year interest free period. She helped us apply over the phone and even went as far as requesting a credit line increase, which was granted by the credit card’s issuer. The associate then helped us calculate out the requisite monthly payments so as to fall within the two year interest-free window, and stayed with us after the shop’s closing hours until we were ready to leave. She even called the mall security to walk with us to the parking lot after such a large purchase.

The process of setting up payments with Zales’ credit partner, Comenity Bank, left a lot to be desired. The website does not have the option to set up automatic payments, instead allowing for either a one-time payment or a payment within the upcoming thirty days. We found that if a scheduled payment is made immediately ensuing a one-time payment, one of the two will be dropped as the system will overwrite whichever was put in first. This, if left unchecked, will result in a missed payment which triggers a late fee and breaks the conditions for the interest-free credit.

Later it came to our attention that a very large penalty was imposed all at once, as we did not meet the EIGHTEEN MONTH deadline for paying off the installments. We looked through the fine print of the sales agreement and saw that there was indeed no two-year interest-free period as had been told to us by the store associate. The interest and fees caused by having initially calculated two years of payments had effectively increased the sales price of the ring by sixteen percent. There was nothing at that point which could be done, as the verbal agreements never materialized into writing.

If anyone reading this is considering buying jewelry, please take these factors into account before entering into an agreement with a seller- especially the combination of Zales and Comenity Bank. The sheer volume of negative reviews from multiple locations shows that my experience with them should be viewed as an expected outcome of interacting with Zales, as opposed to being a single isolated incident. Do your due diligence and research what you plan on purchasing, as well as whom you might be buying from.

I’ve read these horrible reviews after we purchased our bridal set. I was nervous and trying to keep track of my order. I had absolutely zero problems. It does say it takes 7-10 business days to ship them shipping so I expected it to take for what it felt like forever. I actually got it earlier than expected and didn’t have any problems getting in touch with customer service. I’m a happy customer.

I’ve been trying to pay my payment for an hour typing in all the correct information and apparently my account cannot be found. I try calling and that loop lead absolutely nowhere with no questions answered. If I could go back in time and never buy from there I would. If you plan to buy from there, do not.

So my soon to be husband proposed to me on 11/21/18. He and I picked out the beautiful Forever Ring. Love the way it looks. A month later, the ring had already started to change color, then on February 6th, I noticed that one of the diamonds was super loose, it was moving around in its setting. I go to the store, and they can't find me or my fiance in the system. Luckily I had a picture of the receipt on my phone that my fiance had sent me before I got there. Otherwise, they would not have helped me at all.

Even though it was within 90 days of purchase, I still had to pay for it to be repaired because my fiance failed to buy a warranty (he didn't think it was necessary) lesson learned the hard way there on his part. And mine. I am mainly upset over the quality of the product and the customer service. I don't know, I just really have a bad taste in my mouth over the company in general. I ended up getting a warranty on my ring myself so that I don't have to pay out of pocket for their poor quality items. We will not ever purchase anything else from this company.

We finally called them and Carol informed us the ring was discontinued. I asked why we were not contacted and informed of this and she did not have an answer. Rather, she told us that she would have Holly, the manager contact us upon her return from vacation on 2-1-2019. It is now 2-4-2019 and we have yet to hear anything from Zales. How awful is this? We had to call them to find out we were not getting our wedding band!!! Terrible, terrible customer service. Then, to not call us and try to fix the problem is even worse! Updated 03/20/2019: Update: March 18 I got another call from the Zales store I have been dealing with. Called to inform me they have moved repair date back another week. They are waiting for the diamond to come in. I've been waiting now for almost 3 months. New pick up date by end of next week, the end of March

Updated on 03/07/2019: UPDATE: It is now March 7... still no ring. February 13 passed with no phone call. Finally get one and one of the managers tells me the large middle stone in my ring has a crack. Mind you it is not one that can be seen by human eye I am told. But, they wanted me to know this and wanted to know if I still wanted my ring fixed. I said yes I want it fixed! Fast forward to Febuary 28. I get a phone call from the Zales store telling me my diamond has a chip in it asking me if I wanted it fixed. Again I told them yes and that I had told a manager that a week before. I was told no one called and told Zales repair that I said to go ahead and fix it.

I said I was told it had a faint crack in the ring. NO it's a chip from the big stone in the middle. For it to be fixed it has to be sent to corporate since it's a big stone and that could take a while as if 2 plus months is not long enough. I told them to replace the stone missing and send the ring back to Jackson store so I could look at it and decide what I wanted to do. The salesperson on the phone told me they would try to put a rush on it since they had had it so long... Will this ever end! I will NEVER EVER buy anything from Zales. At this point I have had it with Zales.

Original Review: My husband purchased a wedding ring set from Zales 5 years ago for our 25 Anniversary. We purchased insurance. Not long after the ring was ordered closer to one my size and I received it a diamond fell out had it repaired. About a year later another diamond fell out. We do not live anywhere close to Zales so by the time I took it in it had been over 6 months since it had been inspected so I was charged about double what they told me to have it repaired, $140.00. They kept it about a month then called and said it was in Went in to get it had to wait a long time. Then wouldn’t give it to me because their computer system that handled repairs was down. After an hour of them trying to get someone on the phone. I was told to come back tomorrow. Luckily I was staying the night in town since live nowhere near Zales! Went back next day and had to wait.

Finally I got my ring December 16. Ten days later another stone falls out. Take it back 2 days after it fell out. Waited forever to be helped again Told me they would send it to be repaired free of charge and they would tighten all stones. I pointed out I had paid $53.00 for them to just do that. THIs was December 29. Gave me the date of January 19 for estimated pick up but would try to put a rush on it. No rush... called the 19 told me it should get to store the 22. I told them I had no idea when I’d get there to pick it up. Called today February 2 to make sure it was there before I went to get it since I don’t live in Jackson. Couldn’t find my repair name phone number. Nothing put on hold.

I first ordered my ring online. It didn't fit. So I called in and they told me I could get it resized or return and order right size. So I went to the store and found out I can not get it resized and that I had to return it. So I said ok I will return and order the same ring in a different size. She told me you can do that but you don't get the same discount because that sale is over. So I had to call the 1800 number and wait on hold to explain the situation.

After waiting 30 minutes and finally getting to talk to someone. They told me they couldn't do anything so I ask to speak to their supervisor. I then had to wait on hold for another 30 minutes. She finally agrees to help me out. So I order the ring in the store January 1st and was told it would be no later than January 11th. It is now January 11th and I have to call in again to find out where my ring is and they tell me it is still in processing. I ask to speak to a supervisor and they tell me it will be another 3-8 days and not to worry about it? Are you kidding me?

Zales shipped a $700 diamond ring that the post office says was left on the front porch and must of been stolen. Zales says they don't replace stolen orders. I asked why a signature wasn't required and I was told they don't require a signature for anything under $1,000. If they choose not to require a signature that should mean they bear the responsibility for it. They say it's USPS' fault not theirs. But I didn't pay USPS. I paid Zales, they choose USPS to handle the delivery. Very poor customer service and lots of rude people working for Zales.

If you have a similar problem please do file a complaint with BBB, post reviews on Facebook and other website, and dispute the charge with your credit card company. Your credit card company will require Zales to provide proof of delivery and leaving it on the front porch does not prove delivery, a signature is the only actual proof of delivery. You will win the chargeback claim with your credit card. It's a shame Zales makes it customers go to such lengths, they know many people dont know their credit card protects them from such poor business practices.

This didn’t seem right so I went back another day and asked when my ring will be back. 2 weeks. These people need to be consistent with their information and respect other's jewelry. Saying this, I had gotten the ring the day before... I was very upset I had to give it up for 4 days let alone have her place it on her finger and then be told it won’t be back for 2 weeks.

Updated on 01/04/2019: Recently wrote a review regarding a Zales product I order and tried to cancel while still in processing because I didn't want it shipped. Well guess what, they shipped it. Now if I want to return it I have to pay to return the product and THE CHAIN IS BROKE!!! So happy I only spent 40$ with this scam company. I literally just open the package while I'm still here at work.

Original Review: Whyyyy didn't I read the reviews before ordering. On the 26th, I ordered online an necklace 47.39, on the 30th I chatted asking why haven't my order been shipped when I selected 2 day shipping. I was told they have a 7-10 day processing before orders are shipped. No problem. I didn't read that during checking out, so I stated, "That's too long for a 40$ necklace". I wanted to cancel my order. They stated they will submit a cancelation ticket and that I'll receive an email. Never got a email. I check today the order still states processing, I started a online chat asking now why isn't my order canceled, now I'm being told the cancelation is in a queue due to the holiday season.

Something told me go check Zales reviews and I now see hundreds if not thousands of comments dealing with this same thing. I asked the person with the order still stating processing, "What happens if the order I'm telling you right now to cancel while it's still in processing is shipped". Their response is, "You will have to follow the return order procedure," meaning I will have to pay to have the order shipped back and then wait for their return department to okay the return, and then wait an certain amount of days to receive my money back. I'm so happy it's only 40$ I spent here and not hundreds or thousands. I Will NEVER buy anything from here again. I don't see how SIGNET Jewelers let the type of stuff go down. You own Kay Jewelers and Jared as well. Why are they ran way smoother.

On December 17 I bought a pair of Sterling Silver earrings for my girlfriend. I brought them home, put them under the tree, and on Christmas day she opened the package and tried them on. One of the earrings fell out of her ear within minutes of putting it on. She picked it up and up and looked to see what might be wrong. It was apparent that the clasp of the earring that fell off was out of alignment. We went to the store today to get the clasp fixed.

The salesperson that worked with us looked at the earring, recognized what was wrong with the clasp, informed us she didn't have another pair in stock, so she could not offer a swap for a working pair, but she could help us get the faulty one repaired. She asked for my receipt. I had to inform her that I had left it home (I live 80 miles north of the store), but that I bought it within the last several days, could she look up the receipt. She tried to no avail. Then my girlfriend asked her why the receipt was required. We both understand this is standard procedure, but we thought as long as she acknowledged that it was one of their products, we brought it back in the original Zales packaging, and we were just looking to get a clasp adjusted (how difficult can that be?), why couldn't they just fix the clasp?

We she told us why. She was checking to see if we purchased a warranty (which I didn't). She explained that without the warranty we would be charged for the repair. I explained that the earrings were just purchased and didn't operate properly from the moment they were removed from the box. She repeated that without a warranty there would be a charge for repair. How can a company fail to correct a product that was faulty at the time of sale? I couldn't exactly try them on when I bought them and ensure they operated correctly. I was steamed the entire one hour and twenty minute ride home. I will never use Zales again. I will encourage all my friends to avoid doing business in the Zales stores. If I could have given Zales a review value less than one star, I would have.

I was on track to have the best Xmas of my 35 years of life.

The order went through online. 2-day shopping. I couldn't have it delivered home or it would ruin the surprise. I live in Anaheim and it had to be shipped to Lakewood Mall which was 40 mins away. As I looked at all the jewelry while waiting I just had the best feeling ever. I was so happy that the ring I chose was ready to go and that tomorrow was going to be a milestone in my life...

It was the wrong ring. The associate apologized over and over and told me there was nothing they could do at the store and that I would have to take it with me then contact customer service to resolve the situation. I was speechless. I couldn't even say anything without my eyes getting watery. This ** was pissing me off. I am so lost right now. I can't even sleep tonight. Good Evening, I am a long time customer of Zales. I have been going to Zales in Menlo Park, NJ in the mall. I wanted to purchase a new wedding band for my husband for Christmas. I went to the store early November with our daughter to choose his ring. My daughter choose the ring she wanted and I purchase it right away and wanted it Engraved with her name and DOB inside. Everything went smoothly for that transaction. I was called in a few weeks later that the ring has arrived and once I went the ring was not noticeable to view the engraving. My original sales rep Danielle who was amazing the entire time send the ring back to get the engraving fix. Another week I was called in and arrive again the engraving was bad. Danielle was out sick during this time. So the other sales rep and the assistant manager help reorder a new ring online for the THIRD time to get it engraved by the manufacture.

Finally I was praying THIRD time is a charm I get the called again to come get the ring. I go to the store and no engraving on the ring. Now I am trying to hold my composure and be patient about the situation going back and forth to the store. Danielle called a Zales rep by the name of Lauren who supposedly doing a new rush order to get the ring fix over the phone and reissue a gift card to get it straighten out. This was December 18th, 2018. Now today is December 20th as I arrived home I have a package waiting. Open the box up a new fresh ring with no ENGRAVING. THE FOURTH RING AND ISSUE STILL WASN'T FIX. ALL I WANTED WAS A NOTICEABLE ENGRAVING SOMETHING I PAID FOR.

Now I am livid. I call the store and spoke to "LIZ" the STORE MANAGER. I never met her once during this whole situation at all. Never came to greet meet and tell me we will get this fixed nothing. Her sales rep did everything which I appreciate but, as a store manager now it has been a few times same error you should step in. She got nerve to tell me there is nothing she can do about it and I WENT OFF. I said, “You know about the situation but, you can't fix it knowing I have paid for it and you sit here telling me you are sorry. I do not want to hear you are sorry. I need an engraved ring for Christmas that I ** pay for.” She had no empathy. Told me we been on the phone for 30 mins and we were on the phone for 5 mins and 39 seconds. Felt like she didn't care knowing this ring has a lot of meaning behind it and was brushing me off and tell me if I curse she will hang up.

YES I AM CURSING AT THIS POINT BECAUSE IT KEEPS GETTING MESS UP AND I PAID IN FULL FOR IT. They got their money worth and I got the ** end of the stick. I will no longer do business with Zales for that "Liz" store manager lack of empathy customer service. Telling me she’s been around the whole time. Tells me she call her district manager and told me to call the customer service number over the phone. Anyone looking to buys anything go to a different company especially for engraving because they don't give a **.

I purchased earrings online which were very tiny when received vs photos so returned them to the Springfield VA mall store. The receipt received with the online order indicated items can be returned at any Zales store. I purchased another pair in the store but my wife didn’t like them so I returned to same store. The sales person was extremely unprofessional and rude and acted very annoyed that I was returning the earrings. He even had the gall to make a comment as I was leaving to his coworker that they are to no longer accept any exchanges or returns from online orders. We will never shop at Zales again based on this experience. This salesperson should not be in sales or customer service and needs to find a different line of work because he clearly lacks any basic common decency and does not treat people and customers with respect.

I will never shop here again, online or in store. I have had 2 issues now with their employees. One was reconciled after a week of going back and forth and pretty much being called a liar. They apologized and corrected it but that does not excuse the rudeness. I gave them another chance. The second issue has me furious! My mom has been fighting breast and kidney cancer all year. Her birthday is Dec. 10th and I wanted to get her something nice. I ordered a necklace on November 29th and did the 2 day shipping. When I checked the status of the order on December 5th it still said pending as if my order hadn't even been processed.

I called immediately to cancel it and was going to buy something else that I was sure was going to make it on time. They were very rude and kept transferring me. Then finally said they would have a manager call me back after I was on the phone for 45 mins. I got a callback today, 2 days later and not from a manager, stating that they couldn't cancel the order because it shipped out today. They purposely waited to call me back until after it shipped... Now I have to wait for the item to get here and take it to a store to return it.

My husband purchased a wedding ring in Feb 2017 online and I was so excited. Within 5 months a diamond had fallen out so I brought into the store in my area (Beaumont, TX) and the associate could not locate my information even with the receipt from the online purchase. I had to give her all the information and basically beg for them to have it repaired. Fast forward not even 10 months later and another diamond has fallen out. Each time I had an inspection it seemed to be done half assed and now there is no record of my inspections. No information was located in their system yet again. My husband was told it would cost $150.00 to replace the diamond after the lady was extremely rude and did not even care. Absolutely outraged to pay 1500.00 for a ring and now I will have to continually pay to have a diamond replaced. Given the track record I will probably be paying more than the original price. DO NOT BUY FROM ZALES.

Very disappointed in Zales jewelry repairs. They don't really care. I have 12 pcs. From Zales I have had to have work on my rings several times always to get them back in poor quality work. My diamond fell out 2 times and sent in both times and comes back with stone different shape, different clarity than was there. Then the prong work I had done was poor to say the least. The prongs are different shaped, different heights. Just awful. Then I sent in to have fixed and get sizing done. Still prongs are not fixed correctly and they didn't do the sizing at all. They had it 3 weeks and I just took it.

The time before that is when they screwed it up in the first place. They had it for 7 weeks. They have under qualified jewelers that do shotty work and ruin great pieces of jewelry. I'm gonna just spend the money and take my rings to Jared and have the sizing done. At least there they seem to know what they are doing. Zales has great diamonds and decent pricing but if you have any problems with your jewelry find a qualified jeweler to do the work. Don't go through Zales. They are awful. And the salespeople are less than knowledgeable. I don't want to have Zales do any work on my jewelry ever again.

I had purchased a pendant necklace and a ring from Zales about 7 months ago- a total of about $350 worth of jewelry. The pendant came on a silver chain, which broke twice in a period of a month. I was told upon return to the store that the pendant was designed for “special occasions” and not everyday wear. Seriously? A $150 necklace is clearly intended for everyday wear. It's a heart pendant with a lab created sapphire in the middle. I purchased a new and different chain for about $35 dollars, only to discover a week later that it is now missing a gem. I have barely even worn it! Now onto the ring, it was silver with a rose gold rhodium. The rhodium rubbed off completely in about 3 weeks. Takes 2 weeks to get it redone. Every. Single. Time. Zales is complete and utter trash. They take NO pride or responsibility in the quality of their products. Avoid this business at all cost.

My husband bought me a beautiful diamond pendant necklace and a diamond tennis bracelet from Zales. The chain it came with was cheap, typical because they want you to come back and spend more money. So, I went in to get a more durable chain and to get the pendant soldered to it. Figuring my husband had an account at Zales I did not bring any paperwork. When they looked us up in the system all they could find was the bracelet purchase. You would think a national company would have a decent computer system to look up their customers' transactions in this day and age. My husband had to come to the store and after a lengthy question and answer session magically the transaction was found.

So, they sent the pendant in with my new chain to get soldered and 2 months later it comes back looking hideous. It had two hoops off to the side to connect the chain. I had to send it back to have them remove the hoops. Two months later I get it back and it was decent enough. A little crooked but at this point I'm done. This was all 2 years ago. So, the diamond fell out and luckily I found it on my bathroom counter.

I took it to Zales to see if they could fix it, not bringing my paperwork because there is no way they won't be able to find it after the last experience and guess what???? They have no record of it. All of the other transactions are listed but not the necklace. Again, how can a national company have such a crappy computer system. To make it worse they acted like I was the idiot for not having my paperwork. They asked me probably 10 times, if I had my receipt. It shouldn't have mattered as long as you have an account.

I had not gotten anything from Zales as far as an additional bill even though I updated a change of address. Once they got my payment. A creditor not Zales sent a letter thanking me for my payment of 346.00 but I still owe an additional 880.00. How is that possible when I only owed 346.00. With interest and late fees for 90 days would not equal 880.00. That would make a 250% interest rate. I disputed with them and asked where they got that amount, I was just sent a bill with a previous balance of 880.00 and I owe immediately 306.00. The amount I balance with was received as a payment magically disappeared. I still have the bill and payment. I will go to credit bureaus or sue if nothing is done. The due date comes by on the order, we pop in and they received the ring it, but they had tried to resize the 7 into a 9 1/2. It was lopsided. The woman kept telling us it didn't look lopsided to her despite the fact that it was quite obvious. We took the ring home and it continued to bother me, so within 24 hours, we took the ring back and spoke with the manager. He immediately looked at the ring and said it was lopsided. He proceeded to order us a custom ring and it came in about 8-10 weeks later and looks perfect. It's hard to find honest individuals here.

I did not receive a confirmation email or order number and the payment was pending in my account. After three days, the pending charge dropped. I used the chat service and spoke with Paul ** and have the conversation saved. I asked why there was never a number and also wanted to know what was going on. I asked if the email could be resent and he said no, it might have went to spam. When I said I wanted to cancel because they lied on the amount of days it would take to ship. When ordered, it said 8 days but he said 8 days plus 10 for processing. I said again I wanted to cancel and then he said he could resend the email. Suspicious. I called customer service the next day and the woman said she could not even find my order.

I gave her details of the chat and the actual case number. I was assured that there was no order and nothing being taken out of my account. Weird since "Paul" could find it. A week later, I get an email (not in spam) saying my order shipped with two day Air and magically had the order number on it. I called customer service again, explained the situation and the exact time of previous call and chat and was told nothing could be done as it had already shipped. When I asked to speak with a manager, she wouldn't and "put in a request." I am livid. I had already purchased other earrings off Amazon. A lot of money to just come out of my account out of the blue. I was told I could mail it back or go in to the store. I would like to begin this review by stating if I could give zero stars I would. Around the middle of May 2018, my girlfriend (now fiance) and I went to Zales located in Waldorf, Maryland. My girlfriend found a really nice ring for a great price. The woman working proceeded to size her finger and stated she needed a 7 1/2. Well we left that day feeling great because I knew this was the ring she wanted and I was going to go back later and purchase it. I proceeded to go back to this location a week later and purchase the ring, but they didn't have it in stock anymore so they had to order it. The manager Kevin stated it would take a week for the ring to come in and about two weeks to get it sized.

Please keep in mind I let Kevin know the ring needed to be a 7 1/2. I planned on proposing in mid-June. I was able to get the ring back the week before we went to Ocean City so I was satisfied and excited for the big day to happen. Well the day came and I proposed in front of our entire family on the beach and needless to say it was romantic. BUT... when I went to slide the ring on it was loose and when I say loose it was ready to fall off. The ring was able to freely rotate around her finger. I was extremely pissed off. She wasn't able to wear the ring due to the fear of it falling off. While we were still out in Ocean City we took the ring to another jewelry store and had it sized and guess what? It was a 8 1/2. I could see 7 3/4 and maybe 8... but 8 1/2.

I called the store in Waldorf and spoke to Kevin and he said to bring it in with a copy of the warranty. About a week later we went in and spoke to Kevin. Well this guy states to my fiance that sometimes it gets sized to big that it just happens. What a bull crap response. Also he stated it was a good thing I got the warranty so they can send it out to get resized. Well excuse me but you morons sized it wrong in the first place. If I didn't have the warranty they would have charged me for the resizing. I tell Kevin, "Well while it's getting resized please send it out for appraisal." Kevin stated it would be about two weeks for the appraisal and two weeks for the resize. Well three weeks go by and the ring still wasn't back from appraisal. My fiance calls and this Kevin character tells her, "I'm sorry if you misheard me it takes about a month.

This Kevin guy is a joke and shouldn't be allowed to manage a bowl of cereal. His customer service skills are horrible. He has continued to make excuses and be untruthful with me and my fiance. The ring finally got back from appraisal today but will be out for another two weeks for sizing. I spend thousands of dollars for her not to have her ring for over two months. Not acceptable by any means. We haven't been able to take our engagement photos or have our engagement party. We have had to reschedule both and lost deposits for both. I will not be paying for the appraisal and I will be in contact with my legal counsel to pursue litigation for the loss of the deposits and mental pain and suffering my fiance has incurred because of this stressful situation. I will never use Zales again.

I called back a second time and was put on hold for about 20 minutes 3 different times, the 4th time I asked the girl what her manager's name was and she refused to tell me... I stopped her and said, "No. Do not put me on hold AGAIN!" She said ok, and then continued to put me on hold. After about 10 min of being on hold again I hung up and called back. After multiple times of asking the girl I was speaking with who her manager was she told me her manager was not a girl and that is all she could tell me.

I continued to ask and finally got her manager's name, Dan **... She refused to tell me his boss's name, saying he was the main guy. It might not be obvious to anyone glancing at the ring, but since I take care of my jewelry, I noticed it while I was admiring the ring in the light. I could see an area that looked dark and was not sparkling like the rest of the ring. I contacted Zales by email and told them 2 stones fell out and I didn't even have the ring for 3 months yet! I submitted my customer number and date of purchase to prove my case.

I asked if I could bring the ring back to any Zales store with a printout of my purchase (I ordered the ring online from Zales) and have them replace the missing stones for free. I was told, "No. You can bring it for repair, but you will be charged for the repair." I then asked, "What if I ship it back to Zales? Will you replace the stones, or send me a new ring that is NOT defective?" Again, I received an emphatic "NO" from Zales, again repeating that I would have to bear the cost of the repair. This is VERY POOR customer service; as I have never purchased anything that was DEFECTIVE before without getting some sort of cooperation, replacement offer, or free repair from the company that sold me the defective merchandise. I decided not to pay to have the ring repaired, and wear it with the missing stones.

Today... I noticed yet ANOTHER diamond was missing from the setting! This is what prompted me to write this review as a WARNING to anyone considering buying jewelry from these swindlers! Worst piece of jewelry I have ever purchased from a place that calls itself a "jewelry store!" I have similar-styled rings (costume jewelry) that I purchased from other stores that I wear all the time, and these "cheaper" rings have never lost a stone yet! I learned a few lessons from my Zales ring purchase: 1) Zales peddles inferior quality jewelry; 2) fake/costume jewelry is cheaper and better quality than the expensive JUNK they sell in Zales; and 3) Zales has ZERO interest in keeping a customer satisfied; therefore, sabotaging their own reputation, business, and chance of having repeat clients. Zales cheated me out of $180. I returned a pair of (silver) earrings I had gotten as a gift. They broke within 2 hours of putting them on and were very cheaply made. Flimsy even. The invoice said I needed to send them back within 60 days for an exchange and the order date on the invoice said April 6, 2018. Okay, so I had to get them to Zales by June 5, 2018, right? Easy enough.

Wrong. They arrived the morning of June 5th (I tracked it) and I specifically said on the paperwork I wanted an exchange. I was never notified of my exchange being processed so I called this morning. The representative said "Oh we are processing a refund." Not only did he concede their return instructions were wrong, but he didn't even bother to help me change it! However, he did confirm they were processing the refund and he noted I made a complaint on my order, so I hung up. Then, this evening Zales customer service called and said "We won't be processing your refund because we didn't receive the order within the 60 day period." After they had confirmed everything was okay.

I called them back with the invoice in hand and said "Look, these were a gift. The invoice CLEARLY states this order was placed on 4/6/18 and based on the info your system provided to me, I complied. Your company even admitted they gave me the wrong instructions and I still managed to get it to the right people on time." Customer service proceeded to tell me that regardless of the fact they gave me false information and the invoice they gave me was wrong and I did comply with the rules based on the false info they gave me that they would not give me a refund. They then said I could speak to a manager and put me on hold for 30 minutes which made me waste over 90 minutes of my life today on the phone with customer service to only get told that Zales could not care less about their customers. Reason for review is diamonds sold as being 1 Carat actually .80 carat. PLUS were sold as being a thirty (30%) Sale for Christmas. They were supposed to be $10,000 value on sale for $6500. I brought them to a trusted appraiser in Glenwood Springs to be told guess what? Diamonds value was $6500. So Sale was BS. NOT SALE and this on top of the diamond earrings weight being 20% short. They are a criminal operation and I’m curious how with the rating they have via Consumer Affairs how they continue to be in business??? Who allows this?

Then We begin the process of returning them. NIGHTMARE where each and every time I called was forced to (No choice) speak to a different employee who refused to give me a direct phone number or employer provided email or fax or any way to continue with the complaint and the progress of the solution and the email string of the complaint so as to render one hopeless with needing to start from scratch with each employee FROM ZERO each and every time one tried to follow through.

The company MO seems to be designed to exhaust any complaining customer to the point of defeating the most tenacious of us. Then let’s move on to the bank Zales uses to finance their sales. Comenity Bank and we have strangely the very same MORE complaints. No extensions no email address no fax number NO WAY TO EVER CONNECT WITH THE EMPLOYEE WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE HELPING YOU RESOLVE YOUR ISSUES. NONE. After filing a dispute with them as product was 20% smaller than sold the bank proceeded to post 30 and 60 day late status on my credit report. I called back to fix this and after a whole afternoon on the phone they (William **) assured me he would have the derogatory late payments removed and have a letter sent to explain this to anyone who might possibly considering extending us credit for anything.

Long story short! No letter has yet arrived and to add insult to injury today I received an email from Credit Karma to tell me that the same Bank for Zales or Comenity Bank reports a 90 day late so by now my credit score has been savaged for 700 to 540 and we just happen to be moving from Colorado to Washington and you guessed it. We cannot rent a House never mind buy one. We are screwed. I am seeking a connection to a Banking Lawyer to take on this monster. While I was in the Glenwood Springs office saw Spanish clients at the sales counter with sales rep Anakaren going on about Bonita this and Bonita that and I just felt so sorry for the poor customer.

3 4 5. I purchased a 2 carats tennis bracelet in 2006 from Zales. I wore it a couple of weeks for the first time in a while; I noticed that a diamond had fallen out. The next day immediately brought it into the store to have the diamond replace using my diamond bond. One of the workers sent my bracelet off to have the diamond replaced and that was the beginning of this nightmare. My bracelet was sent off on 2/14/2018 and it didn't arrived back to the store until 3/14/2018 without the diamond being replaced. The diamond was not replaced with the diamond bond because the jeweler refused to replace the diamond because the bracelet has porosity in the metal which will caused the diamonds to keep falling out which is a manufactured defect.

Now, mind you I purchased this bracelet in 2006 at $602 which now today's gold price has triple. The assistant manager promise me that she would make sure that I'm accommodate for my bracelet. Well of course after a few days the story changed once the manager got involved, she told me that since I only paid $602 dollars for my bracelet that she did not have another 2 carats priced at that amount she only had bracelets starting at $2900 and up but if I wanted to go down a carat she had a 2 carats that she could give me for $700 or send it to the local jeweler and have a stone put in. I was getting upset by the minute because I felt disrespected and stupid. I have purchased several pieces from Zales and never had any problems. I also felt if I was a different ethnicity that this situation would not have escalated. However, I really loved my bracelet and I didn't want to take any chances with more diamonds falling out.

I spoke with the district manager who also made me feel inadequate and dumb because she was asking me inconsiderate questions. She told me she would check into the matter and call back and guess what she never called back. I found a 2 carats white gold bracelet online which was on clearance for $1900 with an additional 10% off. The salesperson told me she had to get it in from another store and she wasn't sure if it could be ordered in yellow gold since every piece of jewelry I have is in yellow gold. Then she told me she could only give me an additional $100 off, that's not even Louisiana taxes. I ended up with a brace in Layaway with a balance of $1100 because it wasn't in my budget to spent monies for jewelry at this time. Unbelievable, someone really needs to take a look at how Zales treats their customer and handles transactions. I will send another email to the parent company (Signet Jewelers).

I ordered on Feb 20, 2018, my order was shipped on Feb 26, 2018, and I received it on Feb 28, 2018. Thus, my experience was quite satisfying. I purchased a ring online from this company and when I received it, I was not happy with the quality. I looked online and found that I could return the ring to a store vs. mailing it back so I did even though the store was 45 miles away. Of course while there, they pressured me to buy something else and just to get through the process I agreed to set aside a ring that I could come back and purchase after the credit was received on my Zales card (it takes 3.5 days to get the credit back on the account even though the debit goes on immediately).

In the meantime, I found a ring online that I liked better so I told them I would not be picking up the ring at the store. I ordered online again but after waiting a couple of weeks to find it had still not shipped, I called. They said it was out of stock but I would possibly get it in 30+ days or more. I asked them to cancel the order. I was told it could take up to 30 days or more for a cancellation to go through and that they couldn't guarantee it would be cancelled. After talking with 3 representatives, I called the Corporate Office, was told the same thing. I demanded to talk to a supervisor as I wanted the order cancelled. I was put on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and called the credit card customer service and closed my Zales account.

I'm writing this review as a warning to stay away from this store. I wish I read the reviews before I made my purchase. I Recently purchased a ring from Zales for my wife... Truly nice piece, The ring needed to be sized (of course). I was told at the time of purchase that a complimentary sizing would be done as long as I can produce my receipt. I walk into the Deptford Mall store with my wife with the receipt... The looks that we was given assured me we wasn't going to be serviced.

The manager basically told me that it's not his issue... "And feel free to return your item if you see fit to do so." But HE wasn't going to do a sizing without a service plan of $70.00 being purchased. My question is this... "Most rings will need to be sized. So Zales can basically/intentionally... load the display with size 4 rings which nobody wears and then charge additional money to size." He said... "Yes. That's exactly right..." WOW. What a scam. Never will I purchase anything else from Zales. I called customer service and now is waiting for a call from Management.

It's February 13th and they are still advertising "Guaranteed delivery by Valentine's Day" yet I ordered something on February 9th an hour after their cutoff (3 PM instead of 2 PM) so they didn't ship it until 2/12. UPS says I won't get it until the end of the day on Valentine's day (at which point I will be returning it and shopping elsewhere because of the poor customer service that followed).

The customer service rep himself understood the poor advertising and tried to get an appeasement from his manager who refused. She told me once they hand it off to UPS, it's not their business. I asked them, "Why does your site say "Guaranteed Delivery" instead of "Guaranteed Shipping"?" I also asked what kind of shipping they used and they said 2-Day UPS. So how could they still be advertising on 2/13 guaranteed delivery by 2/14?

Mine was "shipped" apparently on the 12th and apparently, by their ad, even if you order a day later - it'll be delivered by 2/14. Then they tell me, even though it's the end of the day it'll be supposedly delivered by, technically it will still be Valentine's Day - huh? Who wants something by the end of the holiday? If I order something for Christmas, you think I want it at the end of Christmas day? The deal-breaker was the manager's callousness, and unwillingness to provide any type of understanding or appeasement.

Jewelry stores make most of their business around holidays and if they can't be clear around and whether something will be delivered by the holiday, or feel that shipment time is not their responsibility, then they shouldn't be making any type of delivery guarantees. I'll be returning this and shopping elsewhere. I hope others do the same.

I spoke to four representatives and one supervisor. Still no help in canceling my order. After fighting with Zales representatives I found a corporate number myself to call and I explained to the gentleman what I have been through and he assured me someone would call me back. I called my bank on yesterday Feb 6th and they opened a investigation with Zales. I called Zales online on Feb 7th and they called the store and told the store to refund my money back to me but It could take 30 days before I see my refund and said to the online representative It should not take 30 days for my refund. If there was a way to rate them with (0) stars that is what they would get. Sorry this might be a little long but worth the read. I wish I would have read the reviews before this nightmare started. My fiance purchased me a diamond ring from the Zales store in Muncie, Indiana on 4/22/2017. Liked the ring when I looked at it, hate the ring now. So we paid cash for the ring and it was quite pricey. (7) days later we were back in because a diamond fell out of one of the bands. They said it would take about 4-6 weeks and I wasn't going without a ring. So we told them to send in a ring and have it sized and solder the other bands to the ring. So we waited another 2 weeks or so for the 2nd ring. No phone calls from anyone. Had to keep checking in time to time.

So we called one day and they said the ring was in so we went in to look at it. When we got there they took it out and wanted me to look at it. They kept trying to get us out the door while I was inspecting the ring. As I was looking at it. There was a diamond missing on the halo. They were like no way. Let me look at it. I don't see it missing. Then they were trying to feel around for the diamond on the countertop. IDIOTS. Then they were trying to piece my ring I had on together with the other ring. I said NO. So instead of sending that ring in they sent in another ring to get sized and soldered. So then we had to wait for the 3rd ring. When the 3rd ring came in, I looked at it and I noticed a very large carbon spot on the large center diamond. The first 2 rings had no carbon spots and this one did. I asked the lady what it was and she said nothing and tried getting me out of the store.

So at this point we are pissed and want our money back. The store Manager (Steve) would not give us our money back. We were on vacation and went past the 60 days by 48 hours. We were told by someone in the store that it was ok to bring it in. Steve was very unprofessional and extra rude and sarcastic. He called his district Manager (Ray) who when we walked back into the store from getting off the phone with customer service complaining about the service we had and issues we were having. We overheard them on the phone making fun of us. So this has been a battle we are still to this day dealing with. Customer service is a joke. We had opened a case and for 4 months or so we had a lady we were talking to and paperwork we sent her.

All of a sudden in November 2017 she went on a leave of absence and someone else was dealing with our case. That lady did not get with us. So did nothing. She said she would have to do everything over and talk to the district Manager (Ray). Then when she did . She did nothing. She said, "We can't do anything for you. Case closed..." What the **. Then yesterday went back into the store and were basically rushed out of the store by Steve. Called customer service and they said they would send a gift card.. I don't want a ** gift card. Case has been reopened again. Worse service from a jewelry company. We are a hard working middle class family that had money saved for this special day. We paid $3200 cash that day and now I don't even wear the ring hardly that much. Beware buyers. This company does nothing for no one. They SUCK and they should go out of business.

I was informed that the prongs needed replaced to make sure I didn't lose one of my stones (2 sapphires and a ruby). I chose to do that since I wanted to wear it and I really value this ring. I paid $250 to get new prongs and I wear it semi-regularly. Yesterday my ruby fell out. I have no idea where it is. I took it to Zales since I had the work done to prevent this outcome.

I was told there was a 6 month guarantee and the prongs wear down when you wear them every day. These are new prongs and should have lasted for many years. After all the first prongs lasted 30 years. My heart is broken. I have so very few things from my bio family and now I have one less. I have done business for many years with Zales and have had good experiences for the most part but I cannot believe that Zales is telling me that their jewelry isn't made to last 2 years. Of course they will be happy to sell me a replacement ruby. I am so disappointed in Zales.

IT'S A LONG STORY BUT IT IS SO WORTH THE READ: Please read this if you're thinking of buying from Zales because you will change your mind!! So my fiancé proposed to me in May of 2017 with a ring that he purchased from Zales. The ring was too big and I originally put a ring guard so I could wear it for a while before having it sized. We then had a vacation scheduled so I figured perfect time to drop it off and have it sent out for sizing and I’ll pick it up when we get back. So they stated 4-6 weeks for the sizing, no problem. Then when the ring arrived I received no call that it was in the store, I had to call them and they said “Yea it’s here”. Ok fine. But then... THE DIAMONDS STARTED FALLING OUT (4 diamonds to be exact) so when I brought the ring back the first girl said it’s because I’m “banging my hand around all day”. -_- Why would you even assume that? And no I don’t, I sit at a desk all day.

So fine, their answer is to send it back to the “Diamond Center” to have the diamonds put back in and the settings adjusted so it won’t happen again. So another 4-6 WEEKS pass and yet again no one calls me to tell me my ring is back. So I call, the ring is there, then I go pick it up. Within 1 weeks a new diamond falls out! Now I’m pissed off! So yet again we bring the ring back, now the rep states that it’s because I had the ring sized that it affects the setting of the diamonds and that’s why they fall out. -_- NOW IF YOU KNEW THAT WAS A POSSIBILITY WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME THAT FROM THE BEGINNING!

So NOW they send it back again to the “Diamond Center” to have the diamond put back in. Now another 406 weeks pass and I go pick up my ring AGAIN! GUESS WHAT HAPPENED! In less than 24 hours the same diamond fell out! SO NOW I AM BEYOND FURIOUS! My fiancé and I go back to the store and now we speak to the manager. She states that she’s “so sorry and that my next option (which should have been the first option) is to special order the ring in my size” so that the settings will never be adjusted and therefore the diamonds will not fall out. So this option sounded appealing and smart although it should have been offered to me from the very beginning you know, sizing, ring guards, or special order. But that’s not the point, so now the special order takes 6-8 WEEKS!

So now we are in January 25th of 2018!!! I sent the ring to be special ordered in November, for those of you good at math it’s going on more than 8 weeks now! So I’ve been calling every week and the ring isn’t there yet. Now I’m INFURIATED!!! So the manager investigated further and calls me today to tell me that the vendor they use for special orders has rejected my ring order due to the fact that they do not make that ring! So almost 9-10 weeks later and NOW YOU'RE TELLING ME THE RING IS NOT EVEN COMING! So their only option left was to tell me to come back to the store and pick out another ring??? NOOO WAY!

I want nothing to do with this entire corporation! This has been by far the worst experience of my life. In 3 months it’ll make a year that I’ve been engaged and I’ve worn the ring a few days out of this entire time! My entire engagement has been ruined and it’s embarrassing. There’s no way my order got rejected and it took them 9 weeks to find out!!! I should have been notified sooner and not left here thinking my “special order” is coming and it’s not. So now we are back at square one having to get a whole different ring almost a year later! I’m sorry this was so long but DO NOT EVER BUY FROM ZALES!

The necklaces I ordered came on January 18th, this past Thursday instead, nearly a month after they were promised. To compensate for this embarrassment, Zales sent me a gift card, with which I bought this ring. Well, they put me through hell for this ring, especially in the pickup process, for which they were very rude, uninformative, and did not even give me a box to take it out of the store in. It was finally ready to be picked up, and I got it the morning of January 20th. The band looks like it was put in a ** blender and is completely tarnished on top of that.

For a brand new ring to look this way, plus all the other stuff I’ve had to deal with, including countless calls to their customer service department, is embarrassing and shameful and I will never be shopping here again. This ring was very sentimental to me and it came to me ruined. I posted a very similar review on Zales's Facebook page three days ago, the same day I had picked up the ring and noticed that its condition was grossly unacceptable. They responded to me that day after the post started gaining some attention on their page and promised, "truly sorry," that they would have someone reach out to me "as soon as possible." After three days and multiple inquiries, I still have not heard anything. This is a slap in the face and a ** way to treat customers. It is unfair that they can get away with doing business under these circumstances.

Absolutely unbelievable Zales. Trust and believe that this company will never receive a single pretty penny from my pockets ever again! Judging from these horrific reviews, I’m sure a lot of other people would say the same thing.

Never again will I order from this place. I wish I read reviews from here first. I am having the same problems as everyone else. I ordered a ring for my girlfriend for Christmas back on December 4th, a week before the order December 11th for Christmas delivery. I have yet to see any change in shipping. I've spent literally HOURS on the phone with these people just to get the same answers its processing. I even went to my local Zales where it is supposed to be delivered and they called the store support number, all they can tell them was it will be shipped out by the 21st.

Well, today is the 22nd, still not shipped. I just spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone with customer service, yet again, for the same answers. Only this time they transferred me to the special customer relations department, which ended up being the freaking fraud department! They in turn transferred me back to find out that I would have a 52 minute wait again! Obviously I hung up. I am so angry and dissatisfied with this place. Someone really needs to unscrew these issues. Now just like many others from what I am seeing, will have to tell my girlfriend that her gift won't be here for Christmas. The special gift I bought her for OUR FIRST Christmas! Oh not to mention, if they deliver it on Christmas to the store, they will find out that they are closed on Christmas Day!!! Thanks Zales.com, you guys truly SUCK!!!

I literally placed a order with them on the 8th of December. My sale was cancelled for no reason 3 days later. Placed another order on the 12th and everything seemed to be fine. I spent over 7 hours in the past week on hold because I was told it would only take 3 days to process and 2 days for shipping. I read a lot of reviews today and everyone is experiencing the same thing. I even talked to a supervisor and she directed me to a department that had nothing to do with my order. I cancelled my order today because I'm getting engaged soon. I went to another company and bought a ring today and have it in hand now. Cannot believe how crappy the customer service is. Looks like they are going to lose everyone business because of how dumb they are. I will for sure tell everyone I know and put bad reviews on every review place I possibly can. So if you're reading this don't buy from ZALES EVER!!! A scam company for sure.

I ordered a necklace on Nov, 21, 2017. I haven't received one email on status update and like many here it just shows status unavailable!!! Chat button does not open and now the phone is busy. What a horrible ran site, and business this is. The one time I DID get ahold of someone to cancel they said they contacted the vendor and it's too late to cancel but yet I still don't have my order. Today is 12/21/2017!! Buyers beware. Place your order at your own risk. Amazon is 20 times better and faster. I have been treated great in the store when I purchased but this online ordering is a joke. You can't get ahold of anyone. No one can help you. Not one update received on my ** order. I'm so furious.

I place a rather large order on 12/18/2017 with a guaranteed shipping delivery before Christmas. My debit card was charged and now it is 4 days before Christmas and before the weekend. I still have not received a shipment notification. None of the customer service phone numbers will work. The chat option does not work. I have tried to contact the corporate office and no one answers there, either. I'm beginning to think they are out of business. There is no email address to contact anyone. I am very, very frustrated. Whats it the answer to this madness?

Zales has been the worst experience thus far for my holiday shopping. I ordered a personalized wallet on 12/14/17 and there is still no shipping info available although the website states it would arrive before Christmas. When I call to speak with a representative there is ALWAYS a 129 minute wait and the online chat option is a joke! I can't get through to anybody! I have been charged and left wondering about the status of my purchase. I feel scammed and unhappy! GOODBYE ZALES, YOUR BUSINESS SEEMS TO BE DROWNING!
